Latest / Inside the Birds: A Philadelphia Eagles Podcast / The DiCecco Daily: Thoughts On Eagles Practice Squad, Howie Roseman's Comments
Transcript
- 0:09Speaker 1: Hey, what's going on, everybody? Welcome into another episode of
- 0:12Speaker 1: the Checo Daily. It's Andrew DiCecco, Eagles beat reporter for InsideTheBirds.com.
- 0:17Speaker 1: We heard from Eagles general manager Howie Roseman on Monday.
- 0:22Speaker 1: He offered some perspective and clarity with regard to the
- 0:27Speaker 1: 53-man roster. We had waiver claims. The Eagles did not
- 0:31Speaker 1: claim anyone. So for now, this is going to be
- 0:35Speaker 1: their roster, but there's always going to be some tweaks.
- 0:37Speaker 1: I imagine it's still going to look... A little differently
- 0:40Speaker 1: than it does now, but we'll get into the practice squad.
- 0:45Speaker 1: I'll give you some of my thoughts on that, and
- 0:48Speaker 1: then I'll read for you some quotes that Howie Roseman
- 0:52Speaker 1: had to say today. And I think he had some
- 0:55Speaker 1: really interesting things to say regarding the backup quarterbacks, carrying
- 0:59Speaker 1: four quarterbacks, and... Not making any trades, being willing to
- 1:03Speaker 1: expose the IPP players and UR Bernard and Joshua Waverud
- 1:07Speaker 1: to waivers and things like that. But before we do that,
- 1:11Speaker 1: the Eagles signed a handful of players to their practice squad.
- 1:15Speaker 1: It's not entirely filled. They still have a few more
- 1:19Speaker 1: spots to go. But defensive tackle UR Bernard, linebacker Chance Campbell,
- 1:24Speaker 1: wide receiver Britton Covey, defensive tackle Gabe Hall. Outside linebacker,
- 1:29Speaker 1: Keyshawn James Newby. Center guard, Jake Majors. Tackle, John Ajuku.
- 1:35Speaker 1: Running back, Damian Pierce. Safety, Maximus Pulley. Outside linebacker, Mason Regner.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Running back, Carson Steele. Outside linebacker, Joshua Wehru. And safety,
- 1:47Speaker 1: Cole Wisniewski. So, Regner is the outside addition to this group. And...
- 1:56Speaker 1: There's also an offensive tackle who they signed from Yale.
- 2:01Speaker 1: He is someone that I liked coming out of the draft,
- 2:05Speaker 1: and he's a name that not many people are going
- 2:07Speaker 1: to be able to pronounce. Kieran Amadaje. I don't even
- 2:13Speaker 1: know that I pronounced that right. I tried my best.
- 2:16Speaker 1: But watching him through the draft process a couple years ago,
- 2:19Speaker 1: maybe two or three years ago now, he was a
- 2:22Speaker 1: raw prospect but had really good athletic tools. And it's
- 2:25Speaker 1: sort of classic Eagles to add a player like that
- 2:28Speaker 1: to the practice squad where you can develop that player. Now,
- 2:32Speaker 1: that name wasn't added to the group that I just
- 2:35Speaker 1: read for you. That one is not totally official yet
- 2:40Speaker 1: in terms of just– He's got to get to Philadelphia
- 2:43Speaker 1: and all that, but that is their practice squad for
- 2:46Speaker 1: right now. They got who are Bernard and Joshua waiver
- 2:50Speaker 1: through waivers. Not really surprised there. I was surprised that
- 2:54Speaker 1: they both got waived on, you know, and as the
- 2:57Speaker 1: Eagles try to get down to cut downs, not because
- 3:00Speaker 1: I thought that they were ready to help them in
- 3:02Speaker 1: any meaningful way in 2026, but because it was always
- 3:06Speaker 1: known when you sign Joshua way, Rosen undrafted free agent,
- 3:09Speaker 1: when you draft or Bernard, that they are a ways
- 3:13Speaker 1: away from being able to help you. And they've invested
- 3:16Speaker 1: time in them. They have a really strong support system.
- 3:21Speaker 1: They know the teammates, and they were starting to show
- 3:25Speaker 1: signs of growth, particularly Weiru. And just because of that,
- 3:29Speaker 1: I thought it would make some sense. Now, it is
- 3:30Speaker 1: very difficult to carry two players on the 53-man roster
- 3:34Speaker 1: who aren't going to help you. And the Eagles, in
- 3:37Speaker 1: this case, they geared the roster more towards veteran players,
- 3:43Speaker 1: and there's not so much of the developmental guys at
- 3:48Speaker 1: the end. Michael Morris qualifies as that, and Cole Payton
- 3:51Speaker 1: as well, but I think right now they equip this
- 3:54Speaker 1: roster for win-now situations. The practice squad is for development
- 4:02Speaker 1: as well, and they're able to get both players through.
- 4:05Speaker 1: It would be a tall task for another team to
- 4:08Speaker 1: place a claim for either player, knowing that they're starting
- 4:13Speaker 1: from square one. They don't know the player. The player
- 4:15Speaker 1: doesn't know their system or how they teach things. And
- 4:19Speaker 1: they're also not going to help you. So you have
- 4:21Speaker 1: to make, if you're a team that's claiming them, you
- 4:23Speaker 1: have to have a roster spot that you're willing to,
- 4:26Speaker 1: to use on a player that is going to sit
- 4:29Speaker 1: at the back end of the roster and just grow
- 4:32Speaker 1: throughout the year. And so it's, it felt like once
- 4:36Speaker 1: they were waived, okay, they'll, they'll get through waivers and, Bernard,
- 4:39Speaker 1: maybe you had some questions because there's a lot of
- 4:41Speaker 1: pre-draft hype and intrigue about him. He was very much
- 4:45Speaker 1: on NFL teams radars. I'm sure Weber was to a degree,
- 4:49Speaker 1: but it is a long term project that a team
- 4:51Speaker 1: would be assuming. And it made it a little bit
- 4:54Speaker 1: less likely. Damian Pierce returns on the practice squad, a
- 4:59Speaker 1: veteran player. did some good things in training camp. I
- 5:02Speaker 1: don't believe he was ever really going to push Will
- 5:04Speaker 1: Shipley because Will does a lot of things in terms
- 5:07Speaker 1: of special teams, and I thought Will had a really
- 5:09Speaker 1: nice training camp, and that picked up some steam. He
- 5:12Speaker 1: took advantage of the time where Pierce wasn't there, and
- 5:15Speaker 1: that's really where he was able to blossom. He's running
- 5:19Speaker 1: with more physicality. I think he's... taking his game to
- 5:22Speaker 1: a different level and just because of the value that
- 5:26Speaker 1: he provides in other areas even as a pass catcher
- 5:29Speaker 1: it never felt to me like he was ever really
- 5:31Speaker 1: going to be challenged but you could make a case
- 5:34Speaker 1: that they could have kept four running backs at one
- 5:36Speaker 1: point in training camp but given how the roster was
- 5:39Speaker 1: shaping up it just wasn't going to be realistic for
- 5:43Speaker 1: them to be able to do that that would have
- 5:44Speaker 1: been a luxury the fourth running back's not going to
- 5:46Speaker 1: play however the eagles have stockpiled running backs in the
- 5:49Speaker 1: past a.j dylan Rashad Penny and so on, but Pierce
- 5:54Speaker 1: is on the practice squad. I thought he did some
- 5:56Speaker 1: good things in the preseason finale, but he's someone that
- 6:01Speaker 1: if you need to calm up in a, in a
- 6:02Speaker 1: game day situation, you know that he can step in
- 6:05Speaker 1: and fill in adequately. He's rushed for over 1500 yards
- 6:10Speaker 1: in his career. He's he's at one point in time,
- 6:13Speaker 1: he was looking to be the Texans future at the
- 6:16Speaker 1: running back position. I think he ran for just shy
- 6:19Speaker 1: of a thousand as a rookie and, And then injury
- 6:21Speaker 1: sort of took its toll there on out. And he's
- 6:24Speaker 1: a good guy to have on the practice squad. Carson
- 6:26Speaker 1: Steele is another one. And I understand that when the
- 6:30Speaker 1: cuts came out and you see Carson Steele's name on it,
- 6:33Speaker 1: it seemed like there were a lot of fans that
- 6:35Speaker 1: were less enthused. But, again, you're not just taking in
- 6:39Speaker 1: the preseason games into the equation here. You're looking at
- 6:42Speaker 1: the full body of work. And, again, to carry four
- 6:45Speaker 1: running backs would have been a luxury. So... He makes
- 6:50Speaker 1: it back on the practice squad. I like the fact
- 6:53Speaker 1: that they're able to keep both Jake Majors and John Ajuku.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Those of you who have been following along this summer,
- 6:58Speaker 1: you know that I was intrigued with both players. I
- 7:01Speaker 1: thought they both have good training camps. They provide versatility.
- 7:04Speaker 1: They're an extension of the 10 offensive linemen on the
- 7:07Speaker 1: active roster, and they'll be able to continue to work
- 7:09Speaker 1: with both of those players. They give them really quality depth,
- 7:13Speaker 1: and I think that's hugely important. Keyshawn James Newby is
- 7:17Speaker 1: another one that when you look at what he was
- 7:19Speaker 1: able to do in just a short amount of time,
- 7:21Speaker 1: he only had one preseason game. He had the ankle
- 7:24Speaker 1: injury that deprived him of really the vast majority of
- 7:28Speaker 1: training camp. But I thought he did enough in a
- 7:30Speaker 1: limited amount of time to open the eyes of the
- 7:33Speaker 1: coaching staff, show a glimpse of what he's all about
- 7:36Speaker 1: and what he could potentially do. Maybe he's someone who
- 7:39Speaker 1: can fill the void of maybe a Patrick Johnson if
- 7:41Speaker 1: you need him to and run down the field on kickoffs.
- 7:43Speaker 1: I mentioned I talked to him after the game. He
- 7:45Speaker 1: really hasn't had a lot of special teams experience, but
- 7:48Speaker 1: you can see the tools that he had turning the
- 7:50Speaker 1: corner and getting that sack of Josh Johnson, I think
- 7:53Speaker 1: was really indicative of what the Eagles saw in him
- 7:57Speaker 1: from an athletic standpoint throughout the pre-draft process. And good
- 8:01Speaker 1: to see him on the practice squad where he can
- 8:03Speaker 1: continue to grow. And they keep both Keyshawn James Newby, Wisniewski,
- 8:09Speaker 1: and Uar Bernard, their seventh-round picks, on the practice squad. So...
- 8:16Speaker 1: Those are my thoughts there. We heard from Howie Roseman today,
- 8:20Speaker 1: and he had some interesting things to say. Oh, I
- 8:24Speaker 1: should also mention that Eagles safety Andre Sam, he cleared
- 8:31Speaker 1: waivers and he will revert to injured reserve. He suffered
- 8:34Speaker 1: that nasty-looking injury in Friday's preseason finale. No updates there
- 8:39Speaker 1: at this time, but that is the latest on Andre Sam.
- 8:44Speaker 1: Let's get to... what Howie Roseman had to say. And
- 8:49Speaker 1: he talked about, well, one, they're not going to name
- 8:53Speaker 1: a number two quarterback. And he talked about competitive advantage
- 8:57Speaker 1: and that's something that Nick Sirianni really harps on as well.
- 9:02Speaker 1: So it plays into the strategy, certainly against Washington, Washington.
- 9:05Speaker 1: So I understand that he isn't going to, isn't going
- 9:09Speaker 1: to offer a whole lot of insight with regard to that,
- 9:12Speaker 1: but he did talk about the four quarterbacks and that they're,
- 9:16Speaker 1: It's sort of a trend there. There are other teams
- 9:18Speaker 1: who carried four quarterbacks, and he says it's just such
- 9:22Speaker 1: a valuable position. From our perspective last year, obviously we
- 9:25Speaker 1: took someone in the fifth round, meaning Kyle McCord, let
- 9:28Speaker 1: him go. He left our practice squad to go somewhere else,
- 9:31Speaker 1: traded for a six-round pick. These guys are valuable. They
- 9:34Speaker 1: take time to develop at the same time. That position
- 9:36Speaker 1: is so valuable to this organization over a long period
- 9:39Speaker 1: of time. We want to be strong there and think
- 9:42Speaker 1: both of those guys behind Jalen have value, have shown
- 9:45Speaker 1: that over the course of their careers, we kind of
- 9:48Speaker 1: take all of the information at our disposal to make
- 9:51Speaker 1: all of these decisions. It was a quiet summer with
- 9:55Speaker 1: regard to the trade market for Howie Roseman, and he
- 9:58Speaker 1: spoke on that. He says... I think from our perspective,
- 10:01Speaker 1: a lot of conversations with every team, almost every team.
- 10:04Speaker 1: There's a couple, maybe not so much, but I think
- 10:07Speaker 1: that when we were talking about to these other teams,
- 10:12Speaker 1: the players that they were interested in felt like we
- 10:14Speaker 1: were going to hold on to. The players maybe we
- 10:17Speaker 1: were interested in, maybe they felt the same way. With
- 10:19Speaker 1: the way that practices went and the games went, there
- 10:22Speaker 1: wasn't an opportunity to do some of the player-for-player trades.
- 10:25Speaker 1: We like to get looks at these guys just because
- 10:28Speaker 1: of where our numbers were. I think you guys know
- 10:31Speaker 1: me well enough to know that I like the action
- 10:33Speaker 1: and was trying to but it just didn't make sense
- 10:36Speaker 1: for us at the time. We would have just been
- 10:39Speaker 1: doing it to make a move.

- 12:28Speaker 2: As I've gotten older, I've really tried to concentrate on
- 12:31Speaker 2: my physical health, my body, making sure I'm putting the
- 12:35Speaker 2: right things in and the healthiest things in. I've always
- 12:37Speaker 2: heard about creatine, but I wasn't really sure about using
- 12:41Speaker 2: creatine supplements until I did the research to find out
- 12:44Speaker 2: what it was really all about. That's when I found Momentous,
- 12:48Speaker 2: which created Signature Spec Creatine, their most advanced creatine ever,
- 12:53Speaker 2: setting a new standard for for creatine quality. It's one
- 12:56Speaker 2: of the only creatines to be manufactured in a pharmaceutical
- 13:00Speaker 2: facility using reverse osmosis water purification and verified through an
- 13:04Speaker 2: expanded six stage testing process with four independent agencies. They've
- 13:09Speaker 2: improved the product experience with ultra fine powder that mixes
- 13:14Speaker 2: effortlessly with no grit or clumping. Hey, look, I like
- 13:17Speaker 2: a good creatine shake in the afternoon and it's got
- 13:20Speaker 2: to taste good and be smooth. The benefits of creatine
- 13:23Speaker 2: are very real. It supports strength, power, lean muscle growth, recovery,
- 13:28Speaker 2: and even improve cognitive performance. And as I get older,
- 13:32Speaker 2: all of those things are so much more important to
- 13:34Speaker 2: me than they used to be. If you want to

- 13:56Speaker 1: He also spoke about tight end EJ Jenkins. And I
- 13:59Speaker 1: want to read for you that it's a long quote,
- 14:00Speaker 1: but I want to read this for you because I've
- 14:03Speaker 1: seen a lot of folks out there questioning why they
- 14:05Speaker 1: kept them. And as if the sky is falling, they
- 14:09Speaker 1: don't agree with the move, but you have to look
- 14:12Speaker 1: at it through the lens of an evaluator and what
- 14:16Speaker 1: they see and what, a lot of folks saw was
- 14:19Speaker 1: the preseason. But what the Eagles saw is a player
- 14:23Speaker 1: from the spring through 17 training camp practices and the preseason,
- 14:27Speaker 1: and they factor all of that into the conversation. And yeah,
- 14:32Speaker 1: he's not going to be this pass-centric tight end necessarily,
- 14:35Speaker 1: although I think he does give you more offensive balance
- 14:40Speaker 1: than maybe a Cameron Latu, who Latu is better on
- 14:43Speaker 1: special teams. He was claimed, by the way, by the
- 14:44Speaker 1: New England Patriots last But he says EJ is a
- 14:49Speaker 1: great story. When you talk about a receiver at Georgia
- 14:51Speaker 1: Tech who transformed his body, he's 260 pounds. He's 6'6.
- 14:55Speaker 1: He's got 34-inch arms. You see in this league where
- 14:58Speaker 1: the position is going, where it's trending, a lot of
- 15:00Speaker 1: similar offensive systems to some of the things that we're running,
- 15:04Speaker 1: where these wide tight ends. They're highly valued in free agency.
- 15:09Speaker 1: They're highly valued in the draft. For us to be
- 15:11Speaker 1: able to develop EJ and his skill set, which as
- 15:14Speaker 1: a former receiver has really not only turned to, obviously
- 15:17Speaker 1: he's a big target in the passing game, but a
- 15:20Speaker 1: point of attack player. His pass protection, when we went
- 15:23Speaker 1: over his pass protection, it is really, really good to
- 15:26Speaker 1: have a tight end who's able to pass protect like
- 15:28Speaker 1: he is and then in the run game be able
- 15:30Speaker 1: to help. It's just being highly valued defensively. And he
- 15:34Speaker 1: contributed on special teams. Just EJ's body of work over time.
- 15:37Speaker 1: Sometimes you forget he played for us in the Super
- 15:40Speaker 1: Bowl in 2024. But great developmental story for our organization,
- 15:43Speaker 1: for the people who develop players, and really just excited
- 15:46Speaker 1: about the role that he can have on this football team. Yeah,
- 15:51Speaker 1: I mean, I've mentioned this on this podcast. I've written
- 15:54Speaker 1: about it. I was really impressed with EJ Jenkins' blocking
- 15:58Speaker 1: ability in training camp. In fact, I have to go
- 16:01Speaker 1: look at my notes. I think the big play in
- 16:02Speaker 1: New England at the joint practices where Elijah Moore caught
- 16:06Speaker 1: the deep ball that was about a 40-ish yard touchdown,
- 16:11Speaker 1: that play doesn't happen without EJ Jenkins blocking Marcus Jones
- 16:14Speaker 1: off the left side. And I vividly recall... Marcus Jones
- 16:19Speaker 1: sort of with a full head of steam trying to
- 16:20Speaker 1: turn the corner. I understand there's a big mismatch, so
- 16:22Speaker 1: you may not look at it and say, well, it
- 16:25Speaker 1: didn't take all that much to do that. But he
- 16:27Speaker 1: held him off enough where Jalen Hurst did not have
- 16:29Speaker 1: to move off his spot. It kept the offense on schedule,
- 16:32Speaker 1: allowed him enough time. to find Elijah Moore, allow the
- 16:36Speaker 1: route to develop, get the ball to him. And that
- 16:38Speaker 1: was probably the biggest offensive play that the Eagles had
- 16:41Speaker 1: over those two practices. And there was another play in
- 16:44Speaker 1: that practice where he completely threw another player out of
- 16:47Speaker 1: the club with a nice block, just a physical inline blocker.
- 16:51Speaker 1: You go back to any of those preseason games, he
- 16:53Speaker 1: can do that. There's times where he's dropped some balls
- 16:57Speaker 1: in training camp and in the preseason, that's not ideal.
- 17:00Speaker 1: But I think that I noticed him getting more reps
- 17:05Speaker 1: with the second team, maybe than Cameron Lotsu. It seemed
- 17:09Speaker 1: like he had a more clear cut role. Maybe the
- 17:12Speaker 1: Eagles had more of a vision for what he could do.
- 17:16Speaker 1: And I just thought he was the more consistent player
- 17:18Speaker 1: when it came to just the day in, day out
- 17:23Speaker 1: consistency there in training camp. So it makes sense that
- 17:26Speaker 1: they kept him. Was I surprised? Absolutely. But not really
- 17:30Speaker 1: when you take a deeper look at it with the
- 17:33Speaker 1: blocking prowess that he has. Now, he's not the special
- 17:35Speaker 1: teams player that Cameron Latu is. And Latu got claimed
- 17:38Speaker 1: by the Patriots, as I mentioned. There's other players who
- 17:41Speaker 1: got claimed as well. Offensive tackle Cameron Williams, he goes
- 17:45Speaker 1: to the Falcons. Offensive tackle Miles Hinton goes to the Bengals.
- 17:49Speaker 1: And rookie free agent defensive back Kapina Gushikian goes to
- 17:53Speaker 1: the Colts. So that tells you that the Eagles had
- 17:56Speaker 1: a lot of value at the back end of that roster.
- 17:59Speaker 1: And I was a little surprised to see Miles Hinton claimed.
- 18:01Speaker 1: I'm not going to lie because I didn't think he
- 18:04Speaker 1: had a particularly strong training camp, but he was a
- 18:07Speaker 1: draft pick. And sometimes all it takes is a team
- 18:09Speaker 1: that maybe liked him in the pre-draft process. And maybe
- 18:14Speaker 1: they just felt like he was going to, like they
- 18:16Speaker 1: could sort of look at him as a reclamation project.
- 18:18Speaker 1: He can provide some depth. He can play tackle. He
- 18:20Speaker 1: can play guard, but that's besides the point. I just
- 18:23Speaker 1: wanted to highlight that and update those who weren't aware
- 18:26Speaker 1: that that the Eagles did have some players that were
- 18:28Speaker 1: claimed via waivers. And then lastly, we'll close things out
- 18:31Speaker 1: with Elijah Moore, who made the roster as the sixth receiver.
- 18:35Speaker 1: A little surprising because he is a vested veteran. I
- 18:38Speaker 1: did not have him on my 53, and I'm kicking
- 18:41Speaker 1: myself because he did have a good training camp. And
- 18:43Speaker 1: sometimes you can overthink things. At least I do. I
- 18:46Speaker 1: could speak for myself, and I'm kind of kicking myself
- 18:49Speaker 1: about it. But Howie Roseman said Elijah Moore had a
- 18:52Speaker 1: great camp. He was able to separate. He knows how
- 18:55Speaker 1: to get open. He catches everything. This is a guy
- 18:58Speaker 1: that we really like coming out of Mississippi. He mentioned
- 19:01Speaker 1: how Joe Douglas drafted him with the Jets when he
- 19:04Speaker 1: traded him to Cleveland. We were interested in him at
- 19:06Speaker 1: that time, followed him. Didn't really have the end the
- 19:09Speaker 1: last year that he wanted to in Buffalo and Denver.
- 19:13Speaker 1: We came in and just said there's going to be
- 19:15Speaker 1: an opportunity. He came in in great shape. All he
- 19:18Speaker 1: did was really make plays well.
- 19:20Speaker 2: Hey, Philly fans, game day is stressful enough. Parking, traffic,
- 19:24Speaker 2: long lines. We've all been there. But when it comes
- 19:27Speaker 2: to your cannabis, Camden Apothecary makes it easy. This is
- 19:32Speaker 2: the dispensary for sports fans. Just minutes outside of Philly
- 19:36Speaker 2: with plenty of free parking. You'll be in and out fast.
- 19:39Speaker 2: No hassle, no waiting. And they don't just care about convenience.
- 19:43Speaker 2: Camden Apothecary is all about the guest experience. Their staff
- 19:47Speaker 2: makes sure you feel taken care of every time you
- 19:50Speaker 2: walk in. Plus, they carry only the best quality cannabis
- 19:54Speaker 2: at the fairest So whether you're stocking up for the tailgate,
- 19:58Speaker 2: the watch party, or celebrating a big win, you know
- 20:02Speaker 2: you're getting the good stuff without overpaying. They even show
- 20:06Speaker 2: love to the community with specials for fans, students, service members,
- 20:11Speaker 2: and healthcare pros. Camden Apothecary, top quality cannabis, great prices,
- 20:16Speaker 2: and an experience made for Philly fans 21 and up.
- 20:20Speaker 1: We know that if we put him in the run game,
- 20:23Speaker 1: put him in the game, excuse me, We can count
- 20:25Speaker 1: on him to run good routes, to separate and catch balls.
- 20:28Speaker 1: We didn't want to risk losing that. And I think
- 20:31Speaker 1: he adds another element of support in the event that
- 20:35Speaker 1: it does take a little bit of time for Mekhi
- 20:37Speaker 1: Lemon to onboard fully in this offense. There's maybe not
- 20:40Speaker 1: as much pressure and you can allow him that time
- 20:43Speaker 1: to really grow and ease his way in. Because Elijah
- 20:46Speaker 1: Moore can fill a similar type of role. He was
- 20:48Speaker 1: often in motion quite like Makai Lemon was, they can
- 20:52Speaker 1: line up similarly and run similar routes as well. But
- 20:57Speaker 1: I also look at it and say, yeah, you could
- 20:59Speaker 1: have released him and put him on the practice squad,
- 21:02Speaker 1: but there's no guarantee that if you're Elijah Moore, you're saying, yeah,
- 21:05Speaker 1: I'll sign up for that because look around at the
- 21:08Speaker 1: state of wide receiver play around the NFL. The Miami
- 21:11Speaker 1: Dolphins might be the classic example here. They don't have
- 21:15Speaker 1: a lot there. So if you're Elijah Moore, you can say, well,
- 21:18Speaker 1: I could be on the practice squad or maybe, I
- 21:21Speaker 1: can go to one of these other teams and have
- 21:23Speaker 1: a defined role in the 53. So it made a
- 21:27Speaker 1: lot of sense. He did have a really good rapport
- 21:29Speaker 1: with Jalen Hurts. He clearly trusts them. That counts for
- 21:32Speaker 1: something as well. So I probably overthought this one a
- 21:35Speaker 1: little bit with full transparency. He deserves to make the,
- 21:38Speaker 1: he deserves to make the roster. And I think he
- 21:41Speaker 1: will have a role certainly in the early going, but
- 21:45Speaker 1: that's really all I got from today. It's sort of a,
- 21:48Speaker 1: Post-initial 53 wrap-up, we got a great chance to hear
- 21:51Speaker 1: from Howie Roseman, and the practice squad is all but formed.
- 21:56Speaker 1: There's still some openings there, and we'll see how things
- 21:59Speaker 1: shake out from there. That's going to do it for
- 22:02Speaker 1: this episode of DiCecco Daily. I'm Andrew DiCecco, and I'll
- 22:06Speaker 1: catch you all on the next one.
