- Lucas: Hei, Luna. Ready for another episode of Learn Norwegian with Fexingo? Luna: Yeah, I am! Last time we had all those tasty bakery items. I'm still dreaming about kanelboller. Lucas: Oh, I know. But today we're shifting gears a bit. We're going to the doctor. Luna: Oh no, I hope it's nothing serious! Lucas: No, no, just some useful phrases for when you're not feeling well. Let's start with a common one: Jeg har vondt i hodet. Luna: Jeg har vondt i hodet. That means 'I have a headache', right? Lucas: Exactly. Jeg har vondt i hodet. Say it with me slowly: Jeg har vondt i hodet. Luna: Jeg har vondt i hodet. Jeg har vondt i hodet. Lucas: Perfect. Now, if your stomach hurts, you say: Jeg har vondt i magen. Luna: Jeg har vondt i magen. That's 'I have a stomachache.' Jeg har vondt i magen. Lucas: You got it. And if you want to point to a specific spot, you can say: Det gjør vondt her. That means 'It hurts here.' Luna: Det gjør vondt her. Det gjør vondt her. So 'her' is 'here'? Lucas: Yep. So if you're at the doctor and they ask where it hurts, they might say: Hvor gjør det vondt? Luna: Hvor gjør det vondt? That's 'Where does it hurt?' Lucas: Right. And you can answer with Det gjør vondt her or Jeg har vondt i hodet, for example. Luna: Okay. What about if you have a fever? Lucas: Good question. That's Jeg har feber. Jeg har feber. Luna: Jeg har feber. Simple. Jeg har feber. Lucas: Now let's put them together in a mini dialogue. I'll be the doctor. Hvor gjør det vondt? Luna: Jeg har vondt i hodet. Og jeg har feber. Lucas: Ah, that sounds rough. Okay, my turn. Hvor gjør det vondt? Luna: Det gjør vondt her, i magen. Lucas: Nice. You're getting it. Let's do one more round. I'll say the English, you say the Norwegian. 'I have a headache.' Luna: Jeg har vondt i hodet. Lucas: 'I have a stomachache.' Luna: Jeg har vondt i magen. Lucas: 'It hurts here.' Luna: Det gjør vondt her. Lucas: 'Where does it hurt?' Luna: Hvor gjør det vondt? Lucas: 'I have a fever.' Luna: Jeg har feber. Lucas: You really nailed that, Luna.
