- 0:59got another amazing guest in here. And if you haven't seen
- 1:03the last couple of episodes, we've been doing some interviews, not just some interviews,
- 1:06but very important interviews of some of our students who have
- 1:09come through our mentorship program and have read our
- 1:12books, Money Buys Happiness, Become Time Rich, Money Grows on Trees. And
- 1:17I wanted to showcase some of their incredible real everyday,
- 1:20real life stories of money transformation. And
- 1:24this Guest is one of our elite students
- 1:27as well. He's come through our core mentorship programs. He's participated in
- 1:30our events. He's really immersed himself in
- 1:34our entire money education experience. And
- 1:38I've been excited and dying to get him on the show. We
- 1:41did an event together last night, which is great, great. He's just such a
- 1:44great guy. All around likable, lovely guy. He's been a big part of
- 1:48the community. He's very encouraging. He helps out. And
- 1:51he's come from, not that, In fact, you're going
- 1:54to learn from the episode. We're going to dive deep into it with him. From not that, in
- 1:57fact the opposite, to where he is now in such a short time
- 2:01frame. I'm very excited to welcome my friend Cole to the
- 2:07This is good. It's wow, I love it. Look how far you've come. Oh, it's been
- 2:10huge. Absolutely huge for me. Yeah, I'm excited to
- 2:16Two and a half years. Has it been two and a half years? Yeah, it certainly has. Where's
- 2:25It's actually a bit surreal for me to think too that we're sitting here in the studio together two
- 2:29and a half years later because I remember our very first discovery call together in
- 2:33one of our core programs, the Five Steps to Millions, which is our money
- 2:37program off the back of the Money Buys Happiness book. And
- 2:42I got to tell you, I didn't think we'd get to this. Not
- 2:47at all. I never thought, oh, I'm going to have Cole on the show, we're going to be
- 2:50in the studio, and you're going to have all these amazing successes you've had. But
- 2:53before we do that, I do want the audience to
- 2:56hear your story and the incredible breakthroughs
- 3:01you've had. And I want to
- 3:04start it before. So can you take us
- 3:07back before we met? What was going
- 3:14Life was tough. And I wouldn't say
- 3:17tough in the regards of, you know, being out on the street and homeless and
- 3:20things like that. It's a self-perceived toughness
- 3:24on yourself. But money wasn't actually great. You
- 3:29know, life changed, you know, 10, 13 years ago. As
- 3:33a result of that... What changed in your life? What was the life change? Unfortunately
- 3:38I went through a divorce and it was a bit of a shock
- 3:41to the system. It didn't leave me in a good place. Not
- 3:45only that, I gave up the house because I
- 3:49could keep my super and it was sort of a, I
- 3:52suppose, a win-win because if we sold the house By
- 3:56the time I worked that out, the amount of super I had, I
- 4:00probably would have had to take a loan out for $110,000 to
- 4:03pay up to make it even. So it was, for
- 4:07me, in all honesty, it was about my boys. And
- 4:11that was, I gave up the house, which was the asset. Yes,
- 4:15we still had money involved with that. But the big
- 4:18thing was, one, I had to look after my boys.
- 4:22That was my first priority. Secondly, it was then, I'll
- 4:26work the rest out later to see what happens, you know. So yeah,
- 4:30life wasn't great. And as a result, once
- 4:33I moved out, half of my money went in rent that I was earning each month.
- 4:37Half of what was left over went in child support for
- 4:41one child, which stung. I
- 4:44have no problems in doing it but it stung something bad. And
- 4:48unfortunately part of that was I then went…I had
- 4:52to do something. So I went to the gym and started buying some camera equipment.
- 4:56And I was doing this and I was doing that. And of course I
- 4:59didn't have the money to do it but I had to keep my mental
- 5:03side of things busy. And
- 5:06of course I didn't really pay attention and my money went up
- 5:10a little bit. Then I had to move rentals
- 5:13because that was being sold. Then on top of
- 5:17that it was again another rental I
- 5:20had to move. And of course I didn't have the money for the
- 5:23bond. So what do you do? Oh, I just go
- 5:26to the bank and borrow more money, you know. And it
- 5:31was a never-ending spiral for me. And
- 5:34I was a bit of an angry aunt at times because
- 5:38of it all. And then from there, after that, what
- 5:42I ended up doing was going, you know what? I've got to get out of Sydney. I've
- 5:45got to get out of this place and away from this. Went down
- 5:49to Melbourne. And of course, to travel and
- 5:52move, I needed more money. So I
- 5:56redid my loan again. I think I probably got up, oh, probably
- 6:0128, 30, 30-something. I lost count in the end in debt. And
- 6:05that was- How much in debt? About 30-odd thousand in
- 6:08debt that I'd come from nothing to
- 6:1230-odd thousand. We'll go where there are figures. I don't
- 6:15know the exact. Went down to Melbourne and yeah,
- 6:19that was 20, March? No, April of 28, eh? Yeah. Where
- 6:24that was. And then it was just settle in, try and
- 6:27find something and just pay it off. And I
- 6:31was in that cycle, you know, I was never going to get out of it. I'm aging, you
- 6:35know, not getting any younger, but it's, I feel young,
- 6:44And in IT? Correct. And you've
- 6:48been divorced so you lost some of the assets or you split the assets I should say. And
- 6:53you'd accumulated debt. So rather than make more money, you wanted to
- 6:56travel, you just put on the credit card. Was it credit card debt? Yes, it was.
- 7:01No, actually, part of it was credit card. Probably
- 7:05about $25,000 was about in a loan. Which
- 7:10was variable too, by the way. Sorry, because that's a higher interest rate.
- 7:14To have $30,000 worth of debt, even if it's personal loan and credit card
- 7:24I'm going to say something here. As
- 7:29I was getting older I just kept getting to the point that
- 7:32I was scared. And when I say scared, because
- 7:37I was getting closer to retirement. And that
- 7:40was, in those days, that's all I
- 7:43was looking at was just retirement. Am I
- 7:46going to have enough money? When am I going to get out
- 7:50of this? Why can't I be like other
- 7:53people? And I was absolutely shit
- 7:56scared of getting to the point of retiring, not
- 8:00being able to afford enough money for food. And you
- 8:03hear some of these stories about pensioners eating dog food. And
- 8:07that scared the crap out of me. And it was
- 8:10a pressure that I had on myself with everything
- 8:14else that went on, and it's trying to find a new lifestyle.
- 8:18And it's just the whole lot in just going, seriously,
- 8:22is this what life is about? So you felt like you
- 8:25were a bit on a hamster wheel? Yeah, very much so. And
- 8:30a lot of that was derived, you know, with my upbringing,
- 8:34with my parents, because they worked hard and they never had much money and I
- 8:37was in the same cycle and I'm going, how the hell can't I break
- 8:48And what was the moment that, was there
- 8:51an event or something that where you were wanting or
- 9:01I think when we went through COVID, I managed to actually, because
- 9:05obviously couldn't go out and spend, not that that clicked
- 9:09in my brain at that particular point, because if
- 9:12you don't spend, you might, hang on, you know, and
- 9:15that's part and parcel of looking at your bucket, which obviously we'll
- 9:19talk about shortly. But in relation
- 9:22to that is I was saving money.
- 9:26I managed to get my loan paid down and
- 9:30in advance to the point of being, I think, about two or
- 9:33three grand. But what was the next step? What
- 9:38did I need to do next so that I
- 9:43There you go. The dog food is
- 9:46motivating you at this point. You're not eating it, I should say. Not a
- 9:49big lover of power. I know, I wouldn't suggest that to anyone. That's
- 9:55So Cole's back there before we met. And then what happened? So you're having these
- 9:58thoughts about, well, what do I do now? Right? How do
- 10:02I move past this? How do I pay off the rest of my debt? How do I what? Like
- 10:09So in, cause I knew I was getting close to
- 10:12paying off my debt. I thought, brilliant. Part of
- 10:15that also was the fact that at age 55, I
- 10:20could end up with a medical, not
- 10:23medical, sorry, a military pension with
- 10:27superannuation, which has some different rules compared
- 10:30to civilian straight. Now what I didn't realize at the time that had
- 10:34some implications, but, You know what, that negative has
- 10:38turned into a massive positive. So I was getting extra
- 10:41money from that, which was helping pay down. But
- 10:44I got to a point was, what do I need to do to
- 10:47make extra money? How do I go that next
- 10:51step? So I started looking for books and
- 10:54advice, YouTube, you name it. So I
- 10:57started with Barefoot Investor, started reading that, trying
- 11:01to glean information. I then went and
- 11:04found a book called The Thousand Dollar Project, where
- 11:08you make a thousand, invest it, do this, do that. And
- 11:11then I came across this little ad that kept popping
- 11:15up every now and then on Facebook. And you know where we're
- 11:18going with this, money buys happiness. And
- 11:23so I thought, oh, what have I got to lose? It's only $9. A couple
- 11:27of coffees, as you rightly put it at times. A couple of coffees, yeah.
- 11:30Yeah. So I went and bought it and read through
- 11:33it. That helped. And I thought, well, I could work the rest out for myself. And
- 11:38then I kept getting these follow-up phone calls, not
- 11:42phone calls actually, sorry, emails about the
- 11:45coaching calls. So I thought, yeah, that's,
- 11:49and I think in probably some of the other podcasts which I've seen
- 11:53is scams. And I was very much in
- 11:56that same ilk. I thought, nah, I don't
- 12:00want to be spending any more money at the moment. And so I
- 12:04ignored them and I think they popped up Oh, probably
- 12:07a couple of months later, the reminders started to
- 12:10come back through again. And I thought, oh my God, here we go again. Well,
- 12:14what have I got to lose? Seriously, what? So
- 12:21Well, we did have a talk in the car on the way here and it wasn't so
- 12:25smooth. Well, no, I was trying to stay away. No, no, let's go. Let's
- 12:28go. We're going to help. Cause I mean, this is really like, cause you know, you, you
- 12:31were, you surrendered. You were in, you're in debt. You
- 12:35wanted to make extra money. You wanted to get out of debt. And I know you wanted to
- 12:38learn some other things and you were scared about eating the dog food. Oh, very much
- 12:41so. To power dog food. If you didn't get your retirement, you didn't want to live on the street and eat dog food. Just quickly,
- 12:45if you're ready to take control of your finances but feel stuck on where to
- 12:48start, I have a solution. My book, Money Bias Happiness, simplifies
- 12:52investing and wealth building with practical steps to help you achieve financial
- 12:56peace. Get your copy via the link in the show notes and let's get your
- 12:59money working for you. Now back to the episode. When
- 13:13you grabbed, cause with the book, you
- 13:16get two complimentary coaching sessions with our team, right? So
- 13:19you took them on board. Now what then at
- 13:23that, what was going on in your head when you were doing that and
- 13:30I think it was doing the audit, which is a big thing.
- 13:34And that's something obviously we'll talk about shortly
- 13:38as well. Let's talk about it now. So you did this audit with the coach? So I
- 13:41did the audit and you could see a few holes
- 13:46as probably, you know, sink the old ship and all the rest of it.
- 13:50But I didn't fully 100% realize what
- 13:54to do next in relation to that. And so
- 13:58it was a bit of an eye-opener. But then it was a case of,
- 14:01well, what else do I do? And I think
- 14:04that's where that initial audit sort
- 14:10Yeah. So the first call helped you identify the holes and
- 14:20That second call was an interesting one. Because
- 14:26the mentorship, it does take a bit of money. Sometimes you
- 14:29have to invest money to make money. Sometimes or always. I'm
- 14:35speaking from the context of what I was like at that time. And
- 14:41certainly since then I've learnt that that's not necessarily the
- 14:44case. But it was one of those things that…when I…I
- 14:49thought, oh. What have I got to lose? Seriously? I've been
- 14:53through a lot in my life at the moment. And it's time for me
- 14:57to actually start doing something. You know. And
- 15:00taking action. And… Yeah, so…but
- 15:04taking that action and making that payment wasn't one of the easiest things.
- 15:09Because here I am now all of a sudden, I'd got
- 15:12myself into a reasonable position… …where I didn't owe
- 15:15much and I was getting close to no debt. And it
- 15:19was…guess what I'm doing? I'm suddenly put…but…and that
- 15:24call was… How
- 15:28do I put it? I was sweating. It
- 15:32was full of anxiety. I even
- 15:35used the old cliche, as we spoke about earlier, that...
- 15:40And it was true in this case. The credit card was actually
- 15:43sitting out in the car. Because I'd paid forward
- 15:47on my loan, the majority of it came from that. And
- 15:51that was a cheaper interest rate, which I didn't realise what
- 15:54I was doing at the time until later when we talked about good debt
- 15:58and bad debt. And the remaining amount was
- 16:01on the credit card. And when I finally did
- 16:05it and then got off the call and went, well,
- 16:22Yeah, to do something and actually take that, because
- 16:26it's all good, well and good saying, hey, I'm going to take action. Yep.
- 16:33So you wrestle with the decision and it's not an easy one sometimes, is it? No. And
- 16:37the tougher the decision, usually the bigger the breakthrough. So you had to have an
- 16:41actual breakthrough then. to then even make the decision to
- 16:44back yourself and go. And I still remember the
- 16:48first call we did together. Cause it's usually, you know, it's almost like you're breaking
- 16:52We're going to, you're going to die on the fucking call. Like it's great. Everything's
- 16:56going to be fine. We're going to be good. Everything's going to be fine. I'm going to look after
- 16:59you. You're going to be in good hands. And two years, now, a few years later, we're in the studio and you're here and
- 17:02we, you know, on the car right here, we reminisced about that call.
- 17:06But then what, What steps
- 17:10did you take and what core important lessons
- 17:13from that day onwards did you learn and implement
- 17:19So that very first call, I was still full
- 17:22of skepticism at the time, but you've got to learn to open
- 17:25up for guidance. And
- 17:30that's what a lot of it is, is about guidance to say, hey, look, these
- 17:33are the things to consider. And they're
- 17:36tried and true. Because that's that old adage, you don't
- 17:40know what you don't know. And you think
- 17:43you know it all, but you don't. And you've got to follow someone
- 17:46who has, and they've been through it. So as a
- 17:50result of that, you start implementing some of those steps and
- 17:53away you go. So for me it was taking
- 17:57one little piece at a time. I think the biggest thing
- 18:00was my money rules. And I'd printed them
- 18:04out and all the rest of it. And one of them was to actually send
- 18:08it as a photo. And you came back to me and you go, you
- 18:11forgot to put in 10% first. And I went, all right. So
- 18:15I've written in the front. pay myself 10% first.
- 18:19Lloyd actually told me to put this one here. And it's still on my
- 18:25So you set the rules and one of them was to pay yourself first 10%. What
- 18:30It's because the old adage that we've grown
- 18:33up over time and from our parents and our past parents, et
- 18:36cetera, and those stories that they show us
- 18:40without us realising it, is that you work hard,
- 18:43you pay your debts off and whatever you get left over, boom. Here's
- 18:48something that turns a whole lot, flips it and says, pay
- 18:52yourself 10% first and then pay your debts off.
- 18:55And it's like, no, no, no, hey, you've got a responsibility. And
- 18:58it's like, it flips the mind, something bad. And
- 19:04with that 10%, you can then build
- 19:07your emergency fund. You can then, which is
- 19:11a change in, not mindset, but
- 19:15in the way you think about, instead of the savings, work hard
- 19:18and put savings aside. No, it's an emergency fund.
- 19:22Whatever's left over, you can then start investing. And it's like, holy
- 19:26hell, this is huge. It's so different. And
- 19:30then you start realizing that thing, you don't know what you
- 19:34Yes. So you discovered some things you didn't know. Your
- 19:38greatest rule was pay myself 10% first. And tell
- 19:41us how that had an impact on the debt that you had and you've had in the past and
- 19:45how you pay that off. Because you've paid off debt as well
- 19:50Yeah, certainly. And I think just before
- 19:53I joined, I'd also gone into a novated lease for a vehicle, which
- 19:57was about, I think about $81,000 all up, because
- 20:02my other vehicle was getting close to dying. But
- 20:05some of the things was, hey, your car depreciating,
- 20:10the fact that you could buy a runaround and still have better
- 20:13money flow. You learn these things in hindsight, but
- 20:17you know, it is what it is. But out of all
- 20:20that, what I've been, I suppose I'll probably be better off
- 20:23reflecting on what I've been able to do in figures, if that's okay. So
- 20:29since I've started, yes, I was close to two grand in debt. I've
- 20:32still got a little bit debt at the moment with the vehicle, but by this time next
- 20:35year, that's entirely paid off. And over
- 20:38that time, I've now got about 17,000 sitting in
- 20:42an emergency fund. I've spent about $20,000 in
- 20:46self-development. I'm getting
- 20:51close to five figures for an investment portfolio. What
- 20:56else have I been able to do? Still expand my camera
- 21:00equipment portfolio as well. and do
- 21:03my business, like, and that's in
- 21:06two and a half years, just from managing my
- 21:10money. And that's been the biggest part of it.
- 21:14Yes, and a lot of that is derived from the 10%. Yes,
- 21:18there's other parts in that whole procedure, but
- 21:22where it's really, really worked for me is that 10%. And
- 21:26how does it feel not to have any debt anymore, just about? I'm getting
- 21:31frustrated because I'm getting so close. I just want it to happen. And
- 21:35I'm excited about it. I think that's the biggest
- 21:38thing is excited. Yeah. A lot happier, a
- 21:42lot more at peace with that money and
- 21:49And I noticed too that, over the course of
- 21:52your time doing this, you've become super aware of where
- 21:56your money's going. So now I'll have a conversation with you and you say, look, I
- 21:59want to go do this and that, but I've decided to go here because this is how I want to manage my money. And
- 22:04you're not emotionally doing it. You're doing it
- 22:13You are now so aware. Like, you even last night at the event, you picked up
- 22:17your phone and you started showing me. You put your whole bank account, like, this is
- 22:20there, that's there, that's there, that's there. So I was like, Awesome,
- 22:24let's get a drink. I mean, but it's a result of
- 22:27the things you put in place. So you were showing me the fruit
- 22:32from the tree. Yes, of your labors from the beginning. So
- 22:36that decision you made, although it was hard, right? And you
- 22:39go to the car and get the wallet and invest the money. And you
- 22:42really, it was an investment in you. And we spoke about this in the car on the way here
- 22:46too. It was like backing yourself because if it didn't
- 22:49work out, it's about how much you beat yourself up about making another bad decision.
- 22:53And some people are just like, I don't want to make another bad decision, because I already don't like myself for
- 22:56all these ones I made. Yeah, because you don't want to be a failure. You don't
- 22:59want to be another one. You're like, oh, I don't want to fail you again. So that's probably
- 23:03what was, I dare say, hard for you to make that. Because what
- 23:08Well, yeah, especially given from all my training from a military background
- 23:12as well, you know, you keep repeating, keep
- 23:15repeating because obviously having
- 23:19some sort of failure out in the field, well, you
- 23:22know what the end result could possibly be. Yeah, you can die. Yeah, exactly.
- 23:26So it's one of those things that you get ingrained as
- 23:30a result of that, plus with everything else. And I think we
- 23:33also talked about the fact that school, where we
- 23:36have tests, and if you fail, well,
- 23:40you're a failure. And you said in some circumstances that's,
- 23:44you know, like construction, et cetera, that's probably
- 23:47a good thing. But in general, it's
- 23:53those stories that are imprinted onto us that we don't realise. So
- 23:56when it comes to money, we do the same thing, because
- 24:00we just don't want to be a failure with it. So we keep doing, oh, this
- 24:03works. We know it works. But investments and
- 24:07stocks, that's dangerous. We've been taught through
- 24:11indirectly that those stories, that
- 24:14that's what the, and it's not the case at all. It's
- 24:20Yeah. So how do you think, so what was the old story you told yourself when it
- 24:25I'd never have any. I would be consistently, you
- 24:29know, in debt and I'd die a poor
- 24:33man. How'd that make you feel when it came to your boys? Again,
- 24:42I suppose that comes back to... Sorry,
- 24:48they're very special to me. And you don't want
- 24:51to let them down. And it inflicts
- 24:56something about being a man, you know, being proud,
- 25:01being stoic, making sure that
- 25:04you're given the tools of life. And have
- 25:08you really done that? And yeah,
- 25:14But now since learning the game of money and
- 25:18the rules, what's the new story you
- 25:23Money is good. It's how you use
- 25:27it and how, as I said, how you have that relationship with
- 25:31it. Respect it, respect yourself, and
- 25:35don't think that because of the stories that
- 25:38you've been told directly or indirectly that money is bad. It's
- 25:42not. It's about what you can do with it and
- 25:45leave a legacy as part of that. It's about... Let
- 25:51Ready? So many things. Let me help you. The money story I now tell
- 25:57All right, my money story that I tell myself now
- 26:01is that money is not bad. It's not evil. It's
- 26:07a mechanism that
- 26:10you can use to lead or do what you
- 26:13want to do in life. It's also about what
- 26:17else you can leave behind as a legacy and
- 26:25And how does it make you feel now as a dad with your boys,
- 26:30Oh, so much better. That I
- 26:33have been able to show them the way and
- 26:37give them something that they can use later on in life and hopefully be
- 26:41able to teach their kids to break that cycle that
- 26:48And I just wish we could do more of it. Out of all the
- 26:51things you've learned in the last two and a half years, and you've also grown in other areas we
- 26:54haven't even tapped on here in this episode, in
- 26:58your self-confidence and so forth. You've opened our rooms at
- 27:01our events, you've taken some sessions
- 27:05with Sabri Subbiah in your photography. which Morgz helped
- 27:09you with. You've been able to, you've dressed up and done Facebook wise as
- 27:12the joker. You've done all sorts of weird things. You've started
- 27:15your photography business, made money. You're leading people. You're part of
- 27:19our assistants in our mentorship program. You're leading and coaching and teaching
- 27:22others. So you've done so many things, but in the
- 27:25course of the last two and a half years, what would be one piece
- 27:29of advice you could give the audience? If they're somewhere where you were, with
- 27:33being on a dead hamster wheel, or not knowing the next steps, or
- 27:36worried about their retirement and eating dog food like what you were, what
- 27:42do your audit. That to me has
- 27:46been the biggest game changer for me,
- 27:50was doing that audit. Not necessarily in the initial one,
- 27:54but when we got into the program, was actually talking
- 27:58about doing your audit month to month. on
- 28:02the same day, every day, which I've done for two and
- 28:05a half years. And you can actually see where your money's going,
- 28:08what's happening, you pull it down, you go, oh, I
- 28:12spent 10 coffees, hang on, 10 coffees, why? Hang
- 28:16on. Because, I mean, 10 coffee, look, two
- 28:19coffees a day, that's $9. Let's say $10 for argument's
- 28:23sake. You do that for, oh, I don't know, Not
- 28:28every day of the year. Well, even if we did, 365, that's $3,600 odd
- 28:32dollars. It's huge. Yeah. Now, you're
- 28:36wasting that when you could be getting that, putting
- 28:39it into an asset that's making money for
- 28:45It's working for you. It's the proper relationship that
- 28:48you've got to have with your money. And it's viewing
- 28:52that lifestyle and that way of things and
- 28:56having a different perspective on money and
- 28:59how it can work for you has been a game changer
- 29:02for me. So now, yes, I've spent a few coffees here because,
- 29:06I mean, travelling, it's a little bit harder than being able to do it at home. But
- 29:10you do that occasionally, it's a bit of a treat. Good, now when
- 29:14we get back, we're back into the cycle again. And you
- 29:17keep pulling that down, back off from here, or I spend a bit
- 29:20too much this month, I've got to pull the tight in the belt, get
- 29:28So you know exactly what's happening at all times with your money. You can make intelligent financial
- 29:34Yes, you've got a path but also it sounds to me like you also know when
- 29:37you're off the path. Yes. And you've got a mechanism to self-pull back in.
- 29:45So you're totally in control of your finances without.
- 29:49Now you've got the rules to follow. You've got your rules up on your fridge. Where are they?
- 29:53No, it's on the back door. Is it? Sorry, on the front door
- 29:57as I go out each day. Wow. And I've got, I think the
- 30:00last one is, remember the keys to success. And
- 30:03it actually points to, this is the funny part, points to
- 30:07the door lock where my keys sit, so that I make sure that
- 30:10I take them and don't lock myself out. That's good. But you see each
- 30:13and every day, as soon as you walk out, because it's just keeping that
- 30:17reinforcing it and changing my story and
- 30:23Yeah, so every day, you're conditioning your mind to
- 30:29Yeah, in a whole different way to compare to the past. Yeah.
- 30:35Oh, it's huge. Just, it's so, there's simple
- 30:40steps, there's simple pieces that
- 30:43can have such a massive change in your
- 30:46happiness, how you relate with people. And
- 30:50I mean, having the opportunity, like even joining the Elite, you
- 30:54know, cause I never thought I'd get to that point either.
- 30:58And I think- Oh, nor did I. Because
- 31:06there's a couple of little stories if we've got time for that. And the first
- 31:10one was I was talking with Simon and I said, look, if I get invited I
- 31:13don't think I'm going to go. But that's not going to happen. And
- 31:17then it happened and it was like, oh shit. I
- 31:21said, but why did you invite me? Like, I've got nothing.
- 31:24I haven't got a business. I haven't got this and I haven't got that. And
- 31:27you said, it's not about results, it's about attitude. And that has
- 31:31stuck with me so much. It's about attitude. So
- 31:34you've got to have the right attitude, stick with your money rules, stick
- 31:37with your audit, go through and change what
- 31:46Yeah, it is bad attitude. You got the attitude, you're
- 31:49an action taker, now you're a moneymaker. But it's the attitude and
- 31:53it is, you're an elite attitude, you know, cultivator or
- 31:56holder. And all your results are from the actions you've taken. So, man,
- 32:00this is so good. Like, I'm so excited for you. You're a
- 32:03great dad. Because you looked after yourself first, put your
- 32:08And you can give the wisdom to others. And you're already doing that. You know, I
- 32:11know you're sharing it in life with other people outside your family. And
- 32:15it's so good to see I'm so glad we're here from where we started on that
- 32:18first call. I'm so bloody happy I'm so
- 32:21bloody happy that you showed up for you all
- 32:24the time all the way to this point. I'm so thrilled I'm like,
