🚨 THIS is CRITICAL! - SILVER & Gold's BIG Change... (NEW Records!) Precious Metals · SILVER / GOLD / $UFD: Surviving Global Economic Shifts | RONS BASEMENT

• 0:01
The silver and gold markets are presenting us with some
• 0:04
fascinating data, fascinating opportunities, but recently
• 0:08
silver in particular has been presenting us with some real
• 0:12
  volatility quickly. Let's remember basement
• 0:15
dwellers, especially when it comes to silver, volatility is
• 0:19
point part of the game. We want to look at the big
• 0:22
underlying fundamentals and we want to have a long term time
• 0:27
horizon. If you're with me, if you think
• 0:30
that the silver price is going to go much higher, I have a
• 0:32
feeling you are with me. But let's look at some crazy
• 0:36
data coming out right now about both the silver and the gold
• 0:39
markets. We're going to start with gold.
• 0:41
This one absolutely floored me. Came from our friend Make Gold
• 0:47
Great Annualized. The largest gold miner on Earth
• 0:51
is now on pace to generate more free cash flow than Coca-Cola,
• 0:57
Oliver tells us. Unprecedented leading gold
• 1:01
producer Newmont just announced that they generated over 3
• 1:04
billion in free cash flow in Q1 of 2026, setting a new record.
• 1:10
That's more than $100 million in free cash flow per day.
• 1:14
Why do we want to pay attention to that?
• 1:16
Because when the markets, when the general markets wake up to
• 1:19
what's going on in the precious metals mining sector and that
• 1:23
money starts to flow into those big mining companies, it's going
• 1:26
to bring more money into the entire precious metals
• 1:29
  ecosystem, including physical silver.
• 1:33
And including physical gold, 'cause we know that in March,
• 1:37
the Western United States investors sold like what, 13
• 1:41
  billion in gold? I digress.
• 1:43
Let's look at the data for silver.
• 1:45
Cuz when you think about what Newmont just said, think about
• 1:48
what the silver miners are going to be presenting to us very
• 1:52
soon. And we will go out here to our
• 1:54
friend Solve Nutteg for this one.
• 1:57
He's got a chart. He said the the gold miners Q1
• 2:02
free cash flow surprise you then wait until you see what the
• 2:06
silver miners will do. And when we look at this chart,
• 2:09
it is very clear, right? This is Q1 of 2026 right here,
• 2:15
all right, which was an average silver sales price of what,
• 2:20
$83.75? The silver coins are the average
• 2:24
silver price for each of those quarters.
• 2:26
  Look at that. OK.
• 2:28
Now, so far in Q2, we are a little bit lower with an average
• 2:34
sales price of 75, but we're about ready to get these
• 2:37
numbers. And when those come out and
• 2:40
those silver miners show the amount of free cash flow that
• 2:43
they've generated, now, that could bring a lot more attention
• 2:46
into the general silver market, the physical bullying side as
• 2:50
well. The other thing I want to point
• 2:52
out, I'll draw that arrow again on the silver price, right?
• 2:56
Look at the gold. Gold's gone up, but not at all
• 3:00
like silver. So the silver miners could just
• 3:02
give us some incredible, incredible data as we get their
• 3:07
results here in the coming weeks, quarters and months.
• 3:09
Next, we're going to look at more incredible data about the
• 3:12
COMEX in the LBMA and silver and gold.
• 3:15
Before we do that, I want to say thank you to the sponsors of
• 3:19
Ron's Basement First Meant. If you want to get your hands on
• 3:22
the best quality, have the best customer experience in the
• 3:26
silver retail market, check out First Meant.
• 3:29
They're owned by First Majestic Silver.
• 3:31
So the mine of the silver goes from the mine to the meant
• 3:35
directly to you. Also want to say thank you to
• 3:38
our sponsor, Brixton Metals, Canadian Metals exploration
• 3:41
company with Fort Big projects all in North America and our
• 3:45
friends at First Mining Gold, Canadian gold development stage
• 3:50
company with two multi million ounce gold development stage
• 3:53
projects in Canada. Get ready to be shocked.
• 3:57
This next data is surprising to say the least.
• 4:01
And this comes from King World News.
• 4:03
It's a long article, but I have what I think are the big
• 4:06
highlights for us. I'd recommend you go check this
• 4:08
  out. Comex gold and silver
• 4:10
inventories are collapsing. All right, let's go here.
• 4:14
Comex gold and silver inventories have collapsed,
• 4:18
Repeater Alisair MacLeod says an uneasy silence has descended on
• 4:24
gold and silver, but the forces that will drive them higher are
• 4:27
mounting. Both metals are being rapidly
• 4:30
drained from the paper markets. Let's look.
• 4:33
I've got a couple charts highlighted for you here.
• 4:37
Get down here. Here we go.
• 4:38
The the disinterest from traders is against the backdrop of
• 4:42
persistent US exports of gold reflected in the COMEX warehouse
• 4:48
stock levels. This is COMEX inventory of gold.
• 4:53
OK, look at that guys. And that goes back to what one
• 4:58
year ago, 40 million oz down to 30 million oz, that's 25%
• 5:04
  decrease. Again, that's the Comex
• 5:06
inventory of gold. But the next chart from Forged
• 5:10
Forbes published on April 7th puts the accelerating gold drain
• 5:14
even more graphically. So this is exports in February
• 5:19
for the year 2026 ranked first dating back to 2013.
• 5:24
So this is February of all these different years and how much
• 5:28
gold the United States exported. And look at this year, right?
• 5:32
The world is draining us of our gold.
• 5:34
The Asians, particularly the Chinese are draining all
• 5:37
Americans, all America's physical liquidity, leaving it
• 5:41
in an empty paper shell. The sharp below, sharp below
• 5:44
shows O comex open interest as well.
• 5:47
And again, that's the black line, right?
• 5:49
Open interest is falling. Now let's switch over to silver.
• 5:55
The Bloomberg chart below caught the attention of many silver
• 5:58
  investors over the following week.
• 6:00
I remember this right. China imports most silver ever
• 6:05
in March. This is month by month over the
• 6:10
last 10 years. And look, this is March, just
• 6:14
the March that we just the March that we just finished.
• 6:17
It's unbelievable how much silver China imported.
• 6:23
The fundamental conflict between soaring industrial and consumer
• 6:27
investor demand has unfolded and been exacerbated by China now
• 6:32
hoarding silver at an increasing pace, draining it out of Western
• 6:36
paper markets. The consequences for Comex
• 6:39
inventories are clear. And here's the Comex inventory
• 6:43
of silver. Wow, look at that.
• 6:45
That goes back to what that's just September of 2025.
• 6:50
Let's see if I can get that. There we go.
• 6:52
Look at September of 2025. COMEX silver inventory.
• 6:57
Woof. Do you see what I see what I
• 7:02
would call and I'm sure you you do as well a a rapid decrease.
• 7:08
  Uh oh. Hold on here.
• 7:17
There we go. Sorry about that, guys.
• 7:22
OK, so you know what? Let's move on now next to the
• 7:27
bubble, bubble report and see where Jesse Colombo what he has
• 7:30
to say about gold, right? The big granddaddy of all the
• 7:34
metals, right? Where are metals and miners
• 7:37
stand right now? This comes from the bubble
• 7:40
Bubble report, one of the most red sub stacks out there when it
• 7:43
comes to precious metals. Gold, he's saying is still in an
• 7:46
uptrend, remains fully intact and is confirmed by the upward
• 7:49
slope of the 200 day moving average.
• 7:52
Interestingly, gold is approaching oversold levels and
• 7:56
what what we're seeing early this week, we're probably
• 8:01
officially there, he said. As a reminder, I believe gold is
• 8:04
only about two years into a secular or long term bull market
• 8:09
that I expect to last at least a decade based on historical
• 8:12
trends. Because of that outlook, I'm not
• 8:15
fazed or discouraged whatsoever by the correction of the past
• 8:18
few months as I view it as route, as a routine pull back of
• 8:22
the kind that occurs in every bull market.
• 8:25
And here is his chart. And as you can see, right, we
• 8:29
have the upward sloping 200 day moving average.
• 8:33
And if we go down here, we are almost in the relative strength
• 8:36
  area to oversold territory. OK.
• 8:40
Now he also says in my recent technical updates, I've also
• 8:44
highlighted gold support zones between 4300 and 4600, which
• 8:49
formed a key peaks and lows over the past seven months.
• 8:53
Let's hope we don't. We don't have to test those too
• 8:58
much, but we will be keeping an eye on it next.
• 9:02
Guys, let's go out. Let's talk about some doom and
• 9:06
  gloom. Incredible article came out
• 9:08
about the US economy and 18 reasons, and I'll go through
• 9:12
them quickly, but 18 reasons why the US economy is not in too
• 9:17
dandy of shape and this comes from Zero Hedge 18.
• 9:26
Excuse me, 18 shocking facts that prove the US economy is in
• 9:31
far worse shape than people realize.
• 9:36
OK, number one, get ready, I'll go quick.
• 9:39
Consumer confidence has fallen to an all time low.
• 9:43
Student loan delinquencies have exploded to a level that we've
• 9:46
never seen before. Think of all these records we're
• 9:49
breaking. The monthly cost of owning a
• 9:51
home has risen to absurd heights.
• 9:54
Foreclosure filings were way up in 2025 and so far in 2026 we
• 9:58
are at 26% above last year's pace #5 The number of Americans
• 10:04
who cannot afford to pay their credit card bills has reached
• 10:07
another record high, number six as the cost of living.
• 10:10
Source. People are pulling money out of
• 10:12
their four O 1 KS at record rates #7 Food prices continue to
• 10:17
escalate. The price of coffee more than
• 10:19
doubled since 2019 #9 #8 I'm sorry, for the first time ever,
• 10:25
the price of a ground of a pound of ground beef is now higher
• 10:30
than the federal minimum wage. I thought that was very
• 10:33
interesting #9 the Fed is telling us that 42.5% of recent
• 10:40
college grads were underemployed #10 We continue to see retailers
• 10:44
close locations #11 Not to be outdone, outdone, Papa John's
• 10:49
has announced they will be closing 300 stores #12 One of
• 10:53
our two big to fail banks has decided that it's now time to
• 10:56
cut 25125 hundred jobs. That would be Morgan Stanley #13
• 11:03
eBay doing major layoffs. Wendy's is closing stores #15
• 11:08
Meta, the parent company of Facebook, apparently intends to
• 11:12
let nearly 8000 people go from coast to coast.
• 11:16
Thousands of supply chain workers have been hold and been
• 11:19
told to hit the bricks in the in the recent weeks.
• 11:23
According to Newsweek, the following list of companies have
• 11:26
all announced layoffs during the month of April.
• 11:29
I mean, look at this list. I won't read through that whole
• 11:32
thing. I mean, anyway #18 The total
• 11:35
unfunded obligations of the US government have now reached a
• 11:38
  staggering total of 180 trillion.
• 11:43
Where'd it go? Yes, $180 trillion.
• 11:48
And one more piece of, of, of, of proof that we are in bad
• 11:52
trouble in the United States is the, the good old Taco Bell
• 11:57
indicator. Hold on here, here we go, There
• 12:07
we go. The Taco Bell indicator.
• 12:10
  Here's a Taco Bell receipt from 1999.
• 12:12
Four items total $3.26. You know as well as I that if we
• 12:18
ran out the Taco Bell right now and bought 4 items, our bill
• 12:22
would it minimum be 12, probably $15.00.
• 12:26
So guys, it's not a good situation out there, but it is a
• 12:30
situation which is conducive to higher gold and silver prices.
• 12:34
There will be volatility. My opinion if silver does
• 12:39
breakdown further from here, maybe we'll see something in the
• 12:42
mid 60s. But remember we want to keep a
• 12:45
long term perspective on our investments in precious metals
• 12:50
and we also want to remember the major fundamentals that are
• 12:53
supporting higher metal prices, not just in the next month, not
• 12:57
just in the next year, but in the next 10 years as well.
• 13:00
We are in a period of time geopolitically in the world
• 13:04
right now like no other when most of of us, we're alive and
• 13:09
we're in a situation financially, fiscally,
• 13:12
monetarily, however you want to say it in the world right now
• 13:16
like it's never been the case. I think we can say that for sure
• 13:20
since any of us have been alive. I think the future looks bright
• 13:23
for gold and silver. Thanks for joining us down here
• 13:25
in the basement. Don't forget, we want you to
• 13:27
come back. Please subscribe to the channel
• 13:30
and we'll see you. Yes, you.
