  No, but I think we were describing, like, you know, they're called heavenly

  hosts, stars, sons of God, and we went through that whole thing.

  And then I think we covered something else after that.

  So I think because of that episode, we talked about a little bit,

  we were, you know, covering the seven mysteries, obviously, and we kind of went

  You know, there was some questions about angels, I think, that came up. Right. Curiosity.

  We want to kind of look at it from a biblical point of view.

  And, you know, it's easy to go, you know, you can create an entire season if

  you wanted to off of just angels and a lot of different ways to do that.

  But I didn't want to detract from, you know, the goal and purpose of the podcast.

  We want to try to be as balanced as possible.

  Yeah. We want to cover other topics. So, you know, we'll, this is kind of more

  to kind of wet your whistle.

  If you have an interest, you know, you know, look at the fact,

  and we're not saying everything we're saying is absolutely 100% dogmatically

  true, but we're just saying, you know, we're trying to give you what we understand

  from the Bible, take it or leave it.

  Because there's been a couple episodes where we've had a listener kind of point

  out and said, hey, Brother Gamas, I noticed that, you know, the numbers were

  off on the certain citations or references for angels.

  And, you know, so we appreciate that feedback, by the way. I mean, we're not perfect.

  And, you know, but we just want to get enough information out there really to

  get people interested in, man, that's in my Bible.

  You know, I want to read more about that and study it. So, yeah. Yep.

  So that's why we don't want to, you know, we want to create an exhausting topic

  where we can just go forever and ever and ever.

  We do want to keep everybody's interests alive and we want to cover enough of

  a topic to develop a desire and maybe a hunger for your own personal study.

  And it's been a pretty fun journey getting up to this point.

  So I don't know if we're any better at doing this. Maybe not.

  But at least we're having fun. Yeah. Yeah.

  It's another tool in somebody's toolbox, you know, another option to try to

  listen to a good Bible-believing—oh, yes, good, you know, it's subjective,

  but, you know, at least a Bible-believing podcast.

  You know, if we can cover a topic or a subject, a theological doctrine that

  will help somebody either love their Bible more or have a desire to study more
• 6:11
  or, you know, strengthen their faith more, then,

  you know, for us, even if we had, you know, if we have one listener or we have
• 6:18
  a thousand listeners, at the end of the day, what's important to us is that
• 6:21
  somebody actually gets something out of this spiritually and grows or, you know,
• 6:26
  generates some kind of interest in the Word of God. You know what I mean?

  So that's really at the end of the day, what we're trying to do.

  Yeah. A hundred percent.
• 6:35
  But anyways, happy 50th. Glad we made it this far.

  All right. Well, let's dig into this one. The anointed cherub. Let's talk about Satan.
• 6:44
  Yeah. Let's talk about this. So you're not going to do a study on angels and
• 6:49
  not talk about the devil.
• 6:51
  Right. And we'll clarify, you know, and I'll say it up front and then we'll
• 6:56
  clarify a little bit later, but the angel, the devil is not an angel.

  That's usually the big misnomer, right?
• 7:04
  So, you know, they have Netflix shows now, they have, you know,
• 7:07
  you've seen movies about the devil, and he's always portrayed as some kind of fallen angel.
• 7:13
  And he's not an angel. He never was an angel. That's not what he was.
• 7:17
  So we'll talk a little bit about that as well.
• 7:19
  But I think what's important to understand, the reason why we're ending the
• 7:23
  series with the devil is because it's kind of a culmination.
• 7:27
  The reason why the devil is probably a very important topic to cover,
• 7:32
  and this is what I would caution anybody with, is don't ever have an unnatural,
• 7:38
  or unhealthy fascination with the devil.
• 7:41
  And if you're going to study anything about the devil, don't go outside to the
• 7:46
  Word of God to study that stuff, because what you're going to find out is that
• 7:51
  you're going to get a lot of misinformation.
• 7:53
  Some of it, and a large part of it, is going to be motivated by occultic groups
• 8:00
  and activities that have no interest in what the Word of God is.
• 8:04
  At the end of the day, the Bible is our final standard.
• 8:06
  So if you want to know anything about the devil, then what you should be interested
• 8:11
  in is God's opinion and what he reveals to us about the devil.
• 8:15
  Because that's going to be the insight that a Bible believer needs, right?
• 8:19
  So just be careful about that unhealthy fast. I've known people,
• 8:22
  people in my own family, you know, that have, that were saved,
• 8:28
  serving God, and eventually got involved in digging in, going to the library,
• 8:34
  checking out books on the devil, the occultic, you know, side of the house.
• 8:38
  And they literally, they walked away from God. And if you were to see him today,
• 8:42
  you'd have no clue that that person was ever saved or had a profession of salvation.
• 8:46
  And they've gotten into some really, really wicked, you know, immoral lifestyles.
• 8:52
  And I believe it started with that original fascination with the devil So I
• 8:56
  just want to say that as kind of a disclosure up front, right?
• 8:59
  We're not studying the devil because we're trying to magnify him We're studying
• 9:03
  him because he's our enemy And a good soldier studies his enemy A good soldier
• 9:08
  should know how his enemy operates, right?
• 9:11
  You know, so, but anyway, yeah. So when it comes to the devil,
• 9:15
  there's, I heard this, you know, a little while ago, I was doing a little bit
• 9:20
  of, you know, going through this study, but I heard this statement and it's really a summary.
• 9:25
  If you were to summarize the devil in one single word, what would it be?

  And, and a funny guy says, oh, the devil.

  Yeah, no, but actually the summarization, if you were to summarize the devil
• 9:40
  in one word, what would that one word be? And it's counterfeit.

  Counterfeit is so important when it comes to the devil because of what I said
• 9:49
  earlier is that there's so much misinformation out there. There's lies about the devil.
• 9:55
  There's Hollywood produces their version of the devil.
• 9:59
  And, you know, most, you know, a good, you know, honest Bible believer is supposed to prove all things.

  And if you get caught mixing lies with truth, then you've literally fallen into
• 10:12
  what the devil wants you to fall into.
• 10:13
  Because if there's one thing the devil illustrates, like for example,
• 10:17
  if you go all the way back to the Garden of Eden when he first shows up and
• 10:21
  as far as man is concerned, what's the first words out of his mouth?
• 10:25
  He goes to Eve and he says, yay, positive, yes.
• 10:30
  Yay, hath God said. So the first
• 10:33
  words out of his mouth is to question and undermine the words of God.
• 10:38
  And if you don't see that as a Christian if you don't understand that tactic,
• 10:43
  because the Bible says we shouldn't be ignorant of his devices.
• 10:46
  Well, guess what? One of his devices is undermining and casting doubt and destroying
• 10:52
  certainty in the words of God.
• 10:55
  So, as a Christian, if you ever, you know, delve into, you know,
• 11:00
  you start going off the beaten path and you start questioning,
• 11:04
  well, did God really say that? Is this verse really true?
• 11:07
  Is this a contradiction in the Bible?
• 11:10
  When you start seeing that, you start literally, you're falling into the devil's
• 11:15
  trap because if he can get you to ignore the Word of God as your final authority,
• 11:19
  then guess what? Anything becomes your final authority.
• 11:21
  Your feelings, your emotion, your friends, right?
• 11:25
  All that stuff, your experiences becomes a final authority.
• 11:29
  So, that's why it's important, you know, to understand how the devil operates.
• 11:34
  It's not healthy to overindulge in the devil, but it is a good thing to understand
• 11:41
  who the devil is, how he operates, what his tactics are from the Word of God.
• 11:47
  So, that's the disclaimer that I would put out there, you know,
• 11:52
  as we kind of, you know, get into this subject.
• 11:55
  Yeah, there's a saying in the military, like, what you don't know kills you, right?
• 12:03
  So, there's a healthy balance of understanding who your enemy is.
• 12:07
  And I think you hit the nail on the head on that, is that you have to understand who your enemy is.
• 12:11
  In other episodes, you know, having knowledge of the Word of God and studying
• 12:14
  it is a way to detect Satan and understand how he operates and what his tactics
• 12:21
  are, so that way you can protect yourself, because it is a spiritual battle.
• 12:24
  But, yeah, there's doors that you can open that you don't want to open,
• 12:28
  and the doubt can start creeping in, and that's exactly how he works.
• 12:32
  It's where he first showed up.
• 12:33
  What was he doing? He was questioning God's word, and that's where it begins.
• 12:39
  You know, I was just thinking, Alan, as you're saying that, I thought this was kind of interesting.
• 12:44
  So, I mean, if you were to do a psychoanalysis, you know what I mean?
• 12:48
  If you were to kind of step back and look at the big picture of the devil.
• 12:50
  So the devil was the anointed cherub that covered. You know,
• 12:54
  he was in the throne room with God.
• 12:56
  God had made him one of the most beautiful beings in the entire universe.
• 13:00
  He has wisdom that far surpasses any other wisdom, you know,
• 13:06
  either human or supernatural, other than God.
• 13:10
  And, you know, you think about a creature or a being that was in that position that was so privileged,
• 13:17
  and yet he completely went 180, and now he demands that people worship him and things like that.
• 13:26
  But think about this, the psychoanalysis part of it is, he must be insane.
• 13:31
  He must be irrational, right?
• 13:34
  That he knows that he can't win. He knows who God is. He understands the nature of God.
• 13:40
  And in sometimes, some instances, God uses him as a tool for punishment.
• 13:46
  You know, people have this idea that, you know, this dichotomy between God and
• 13:51
  the devil is they're arm wrestling and sometimes the devil is winning and sometimes
• 13:56
  God is winning. That's not true.
• 13:58
  God is always absolutely 100,000% in control.

  He just unleashes the devil for
• 14:06
  his own purposes when it comes to the punishment of sin and wickedness.
• 14:11
  But the devil will still get his due, and the devil knows this.
• 14:14
  And yet he's doing everything in his power to circumvent God's authority and his influence.
• 14:20
  So this is where I was going to say this.
• 14:23
  From our standpoint, he's irrational.
• 14:26
  He's psychotic. He doesn't make any sense. He's the opposite of cogency and
• 14:33
  understanding and balance and things like that, right?
• 14:36
  So, guess what? Guess what one of his tactics are? One of his tactics are fallacies.
• 14:42
  He operates in fallacious thinking.
• 14:45
  He wants to undermine the thinking and the logic of God. So, he's illogical.
• 14:52
  When we say that the Christian worldview is rational, the devil is irrational.
• 14:58
  When we say that God is reasonable, when he says, come, let us reason together,
• 15:03
  then guess what? The devil is unreasonable.
• 15:06
  So, I just think it's interesting that when we say one of the tactics of the
• 15:11
  devil is look for irrational, unreasonable, and illogical thinking.
• 15:16
  So, when you see people that don't know how to think correctly,
• 15:20
  then you know that those people are operating under some kind of satanic influence,
• 15:24
  whether they realize it or not.
• 15:26
  And that goes for Christians. Christians can literally think like the devil
• 15:30
  if they allow the devil, his thinking, and his irrationality to take over their own logic.
• 15:36
  You know what I mean? So, I think that's a good—to me, it's kind of like a good,
• 15:41
  reminder or shot in the arm, like, hey, when we were covering the fallacies
• 15:44
  and we were talking about logical discourse and apologetics,
• 15:47
  that is a tool to fight against the irrationality of the devil.
• 15:53
  So, when we see that in the street, that's just a reflection of Satan working.
• 15:57
  Right. And a fallacious thinking, because that's not thinking like God,
• 16:00
  and we covered that in detail.

  Yeah. Think about 2 Corinthians 4 and verse 4.
• 16:07
  The Bible says that the God of this world, that's the devil.
• 16:12
  Hath blinded the minds of them, which obey not the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
• 16:18
  So, think about that. He blinds their minds. Ephesians 4.17 says that the Gentiles
• 16:24
  walk in the vanity of their mind.
• 16:27
  So, you know, in 2 Corinthians 10.5, it says, casting down imaginations and
• 16:33
  every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God.
• 16:37
  And I was doing a study on that the other day.
• 16:40
  High thing, high thing. Well, what's spiritual wickedness in high places? Ephesians 6.
• 16:45
  We're supposed to put on the whole armor of God to fight against that.
• 16:49
  You know what God constantly warned the Jews about in the Old Testament?
• 16:54
  Not to worship or build altars in the high places over and over and over again.
• 17:00
  So, idolatry and worship of false gods that were obviously, you know,
• 17:05
  in connection with the devil is connected with high places.
• 17:09
  And, you know, so every high thing, every imagination,
• 17:13
  that's the thoughts of your heart, genesis 6
• 17:15
  right and every high thing has to do with satanic spiritual wickedness so that
• 17:23
  means when you look at that if you have a wrong thought or a unreasonable or
• 17:29
  illogical thought that goes through your mind it's in some level influenced by the god of this world.
• 17:37
  Yeah, that's interesting. Yeah, that's a whole episode in itself.
• 17:41
  But, so, the one word that describes the devil is counterfeit. He's a counterfeit.

  His ultimate goal at the end of the day is not just rebellion.
• 17:52
  You know, it wasn't just, oh, I want to put off the shackles of God's control.
• 17:56
  He says, you know, in the book of Isaiah, he goes, I will be like the Most High.
• 18:03
  See what I mean? He wants worship at the end of the day. that's the only thing he's concerned about.

  When Jesus Christ was being tempted by the devil, Matthew 4 and Luke 4,
• 18:14
  what was one of the temptations?
• 18:15
  He said, look at all these kingdoms of the world. He goes, I'll give them to
• 18:20
  you if you'll worship me, if you'll fall down and worship me.
• 18:24
  And Jesus Christ responded, he says, he goes, you know, get the hints.
• 18:28
  No, you know, he basically denied him. He says, thou shalt worship the Lord
• 18:32
  thy God and him only shalt thou serve.
• 18:34
  So, the devil wants worship, okay? In 2 Thessalonians, I'll read the verse here,
• 18:39
  but in 2 Thessalonians chapter 2, which is the pivotal chapter on the Antichrist, okay?
• 18:46
  So, if you want to know anything about the man of sin, if you want to understand,
• 18:50
  you know, what the nature of the man of sin is going to be when it comes to
• 18:54
  the second coming and the rapture and all this other stuff, go to 2 Thessalonians
• 18:59
  chapter 2 and you'll read about them.

  But in In 2 Thessalonians 2, it's fascinating the way it's worded, but it says this.

  Let me pull it up here. So...

  And this is kind of, you know, ties into the fact that the devil wants to be worshipped.

  It says in 2 Thessalonians chapter 2, he says, Let no man, verse 3,
• 19:18
  let no man deceive you by any means, for that day shall not come,
• 19:21
  talking about the day, the falling away, and the man of sin shall be revealed,
• 19:25
  until that man of sin be revealed, it goes first, the falling away, I'm sorry,
• 19:30
  that day shall not come except there be come a falling away first,
• 19:34
  and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition, who opposeth,
• 19:38
  and here's verse 4, listen to this,
• 19:40
  who opposeth and exalteth themself above all that is called God,
• 19:45
  or that is worshipped, so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God,
• 19:53
  showing himself that he is God.
• 19:56
  If that doesn't tell you what his goal is, I don't know what else would.
• 20:00
  But it's interesting that it says that he's going to be, he's going to oppose
• 20:03
  and exalt himself above all that is called God.
• 20:06
  Well, you know what? Some people call, you know, worship Buddha.
• 20:09
  Some people worship Allah.
• 20:11
  Some people worship Mary. You know, some people worship aliens and they're waiting
• 20:16
  for their, you know, this intelligent life that seeded this planet to come back.
• 20:21
  You see what I'm saying? But the Bible says there in verse 2 Thessalonians 2,
• 20:25
  4, he's going to magnify himself above all that is called God so that he as
• 20:34
  God sitting in the temple will be worshiped like as if he were God.
• 20:40
  Now, again, that is the ultimate ambition and goal of the devil.
• 20:47
  He wants to be worshiped as God. That's all he cares about.
• 20:51
  That means anything that produces or conduces worship, the devil's going to be interested in.
• 20:59
  Some people have been mistaken and said, you know, like, oh,
• 21:01
  you know, well, you know, the devil is in rock music and drugs and pornography.
• 21:06
  I'm not saying that there's no satanic influence there, but that's not his desire.
• 21:11
  His desire is not to get everybody involved in porn.
• 21:15
  His desire is to get everybody to worship him.
• 21:19
  So he's not going to operate the way that, so the world's definition of Satanism, right?
• 21:24
  The fringe cults, you know, you know what all that is? That's a red herring.
• 21:29
  Because the devil, what he's going to do is if he can convince you that he is
• 21:34
  some, you know, horned, you know,
• 21:37
  trident-carrying red devil with, you know, this wicked face that,
• 21:43
  you know what I mean, that you're going to have an accurate picture of him.
• 21:45
  But that's not the picture the Bible describes.
• 21:48
  The Bible, you know, the biblical definition reveals a creature who copies the
• 21:55
  structure, the ministry, and the kingdom of God to deceive the world.
• 21:59
  He's going to talk like Jesus Christ. He's going to act like Jesus Christ.
• 22:03
  He is going to be in the minds of people.
• 22:06
  He will be Jesus Christ.
• 22:08
  And he's not going to do that as a big giant red dragon, you know,
• 22:14
  breathing fire in everybody and a big giant pitchfork tossing people into hell.
• 22:18
  That's Hollywood's definition. And so that's going to throw people out.
• 22:22
  So the goal is worship, you know, is he going to kill people? Absolutely. Right.
• 22:27
  Is he going to shed the blood of innocent people? Absolutely. He will.
• 22:31
  But his goal is worship and you
• 22:34
  have to understand that so so when
• 22:37
  it comes to the devil the first step is to understand that he's a counterfeit
• 22:41
  he's a counterfeit christ he and we'll talk about some of the the verses that
• 22:45
  tie into that but when he shows up people are going to look at him and say that
• 22:50
  is jesus christ the catholics are going to say that is the son of god.
• 22:55
  The Mormons are going to say, that is the son of God that we've been looking for.
• 23:01
  I don't know if I've ever told this story before, but years ago,
• 23:04
  I was knocking doors in California, and this guy, one of the guys that answered
• 23:10
  the door, was an American Indian.
• 23:12
  And I was trying to talk to him, witness into him, and try to invite him to church.
• 23:16
  And he told me that they have their own theology, so to speak, right?
• 23:22
  Indians do. I can't remember what tribe he was from. But I asked him,
• 23:25
  I said, so what is your guys' theology or your religious teaching concerning
• 23:29
  the end times? You know what he said?
• 23:32
  He goes, we believe there's a great spirit in the sky. We call him the great white spirit.
• 23:37
  And he is the one that created all things. He gave everybody the breath of life and so forth and so on.
• 23:43
  And I said, what do you believe about him? I said, well, he said this.
• 23:47
  We believe that the end of the world will come when that great white spirit
• 23:50
  comes riding on a horse and returns to this earth.
• 23:54
  That's what he told me. I'm thinking, wow. And I showed him Revelation 19,
• 23:59
  you know, it's Jesus Christ.
• 24:00
  But I forgot to mention in Revelation 6, you have a rider on a white horse who
• 24:06
  has, he has a crown and he has a bow with no arrows and he goes to conquer without conquering.
• 24:14
  He does it through peace in Revelation chapter 6. And that's the first seal
• 24:18
  that's opened during the tribulation.
• 24:21
  That's the coming of the Antichrist. He's a perfect picture of Jesus Christ.
• 24:26
  So here's this American Indian describing to me their religious eschatology,
• 24:31
  and there's this great, you know, their white spirit on a white horse returning to this earth.
• 24:39
  So what do you think he's going to do when he sees a man on a white horse that
• 24:43
  looks like Jesus Christ speaks like Jesus Christ and brings peace to the earth
• 24:47
  that, you know, connects with every single religion.
• 24:50
  Because, you know, global religion, you have to have a one world global religion
• 24:55
  in order for everybody to agree.
• 24:57
  And the only way you can do that is dissolve the doctrinal distinctions, right?

  That's why doctrine is so important. But if you can eliminate doctrine,

  the devil or perception of the devil is, which is...

  Not true. Even in the Bible, though, I mean, you alluded to the fact that,

  hey, if you don't know doctrine, you don't know your Bible, you're not going to know the difference.

  Right. So, that's why it's important to be able to identify these things.

  And even Christians reading that passage just thinks that's Jesus Christ,

  right? There's some confusion around that.

  But without studying it. Well, look at the temptation.

  The devil's using Scripture to challenge Jesus Christ. Yeah.

  Jesus Christ is using Scripture.

  You see what I mean? Mm-hmm. The Bible describes the devil in Peter as a lion

  who walketh about, right?

  Well, guess what? Jesus Christ is the lion of the tribe of Judah.

  So there's a lot of parallels between the devil and Jesus Christ.

  People may not realize that.

  And like you said, and this is one thing, you know, we will forever emphasize

  dispensational teaching and dispensational hermeneutic because that is the only

  correct way to study your Bible.

  And I'll even go further. when you look, go back and study the temptation of
• 26:42
  Jesus Christ and watch carefully and see what the devil's doing with scripture.

  He's quoting legitimate scripture. He's quoting Psalms and other places in the Bible.

  And he's trying to basically say, look, your Bible says this,
• 26:59
  therefore you ought to behave this way.

  So he's trying to get Jesus Christ to concede to what those scriptures say.

  Is Jesus Christ going to say, well, those scriptures are wrong?

  No, but you know what the problem is? He's quoting second advent passages.

  You're not going to dash your foot at any time, lest the angel is going to bear
• 27:21
  thee up, lest thou dash thy foot or whatever.

  You read that passage in Psalms, that's actually a second advent.

  That's the second coming of Jesus Christ.

  So he was trying to get Jesus Christ to obey second advent scripture outside

  of its proper dispensation.

  He was trying to get Jesus Christ to obey Scripture by wrongly dividing it, mixing timelines.

  So one of the tactics of the devil is to wrongly divide Scripture and combine
• 27:50
  passages that have no application in its current dispensation.

  So if you don't, again, I think we've discussed it before, but at the end of
• 27:59
  the day, a dispensationalist is a person that identifies the distinctions in the Bible.

  The guy that's not the dispensationalist is the guy that ignores the dispensations the distinctions,

  and guess what there's a distinction between the writer and revelation six
• 28:13
  he has one crown for example he's carrying
• 28:16
  a bow for example to the writer in revelation 19

  who has many crowns and he's got a sword coming out of his mouth and if you
• 28:25
  if you just lump that all together and say oh it's the same person then not
• 28:28
  only are you demonstrating your ignorance you're in danger of getting people
• 28:33
  to obey the wrong parts of scripture that have no application to them.

  And of course, the worst case scenario in this age is that people reject the

  truth and go to hell over it.

  So, anyway, so back to the devil. All right. So, the myth is he's just a fallen angel.

  That's the idea. But remember when we talked about the identification or the

  classification of creatures, he's actually the cherub kind. That's what he is.

  So that, you know, he's not, the angel is a classification. We talked about
• 29:08
  that. But an angel is not a cherub.

  Cherubs possess wings and animal, and they have animal-like features, right?

  They have the face of an ox, the face of an eagle, the face of a lion, the face of a man.

  Well, angels look like men.

  And so they're very different. And guess what? Angels never are never,

  ever, ever, ever described in the Bible with wings.

  So these are wingless men that look like young men that if you were to pass

  them in the street or in the crowd, you may not have any clue that you're looking at an angel.

  That's not a cherub. If you saw a cherub, trust me, you would know that you're looking at a cherub.

  Yeah, they're kind of weird.

  The thing about the chirp, though, I think we covered this. Sorry,

  Right? So, he could look like an angel or a man.

  He can. That's described in Corinthians. Paul gives us that insight,

  you know, that he can appear as an angel of light.

  So, that's why I think it's interesting that he can appear as an angel of light,

  and that's literally what 90% of the population of the earth think of the devil.

  That he's an angel. Yeah.

  So, he operates in deception. He loves deception.

  So, so he's not an angel, right? That's a distinct order of creature that's

  a different classification. Yeah.

  He possesses wings and animal-like features, because that's what the cherub does.

  And they also are classified among cattle in Genesis 3.14, the cherub is,

  which is interesting, because what
• 30:44
  does he show up first in the Garden of Eden? He shows up as a serpent.

  So, you know, we find out later on through Scripture in the book of Psalms,

  Isaiah, several other places,

  that that old serpent in the book of Revelation describes him too,

  that serpent, the dragon, who's also called by a specific name, Leviathan.

  So when you look up Leviathan in your King James Bible, you'll find out he has more than one head.

  He is a king over the children of pride, according to Job.

  He's not a dinosaur. He is a very specific, distinct creature that is describing
• 31:25
  a dragon for all intents purposes, who is the devil.

  So you'll find that out as you study scripture. So he's, you know, he's not an angel.

  Here's the thing, as a cherub, and we, you know, not to, you know,
• 31:39
  because we kind of covered it when we talked about the different classifications of life.

  But remember, you know, the Bible describes him in Ezekiel and Isaiah,

  it says that, you know, he was the anointed cherub that covereth.

  He covers the throne.

  And what's interesting, like if you look in Exodus 25, verses 17 through 22,

  you have two cherubs that were, when they were building the ark,

  the mercy seat and the ark that went into the tabernacle, they put two cherubim

  facing each other with their wings pointed toward each other on the mercy seat of that ark.

  So they were positioned at the very throne of God because that's where he would
• 32:19
  meet with the Israelites was in, that was his presence was there in the Holy

  of Holies on that mercy seat.

  So the angels were supposed to be covering or, you know, you know,

  we had four, I'm sorry, I said angels, we had four cherub.

  He was actually the fifth cherub. So there's only four now.

  You only see four whenever you go to Ezekiel. And in Revelation,

  you see four beasts, but you don't see the fifth one because that was the devil.

  He's no longer the anointed cherub that covers. Here's another thing.

  So Jesus Christ was anointed. The devil was anointed. He's a Christos. He's a Christ.

  14 through 16, he walked amidst the stones of fire until iniquity and pride were found in him.

  Now, he was cast out of the third heaven, but he could still approach God to

  a certain degree. He no longer operated.

  And the reason we know that, because you go to Job 1 and 2, he walks in before
• 33:47
  God with the sons of God. And the sons of God are angels.

  He's not an angel, but he walks in amongst them.

  So, what's interesting about that is that he still has he has some kind of access

  to God, but he no longer operates as a cherub that is covering the throne.

  And so he loses, and then of course he'll lose access to the third heaven altogether.

  During the tribulation. That's when Revelation 12, you'll read,

  and that's another misnomer that Hollywood and everybody else likes to throw

  everybody off of, is that they think the devil was cast out of heaven,

  you know, and he no longer, and he's in hell ruling.

  That's not true. The Bible calls him the God of this world.

  So he is an active, present deity over this planet, and he has access to God at some level.

  So, and that's not going to, that final casting down won't happen until the book of Revelation.

  So, when we talk about the devil being counterfeit, you know,

  every aspect of the devil counterfeits the Trinity, which you have God the Father.

  Well, you also have a spiritual father, John 8, 44.

  Jesus Christ is talking to the religious elite, right? The Sadducees and the

  Pharisees. He says, ye are of your father, the devil.

  That's what he says. You're of your father, the devil.

  And so the father of the devil, he is the beast. That's what you see in the

  book of Revelation when he finally shows up.

  Then you have God the Son. Well, you have God the Son, which is Jesus Christ.

  Remember we talked about the mystery.

  What is the mystery of godliness? It's God manifest in the flesh.

  Well, what's the mystery of iniquity?

  It's Satan manifest in the.

  Okay. So interestingly enough, the only other person that's ever called,

  you know, the son of perdition is Judas Iscariot.

  So we don't have time to go into it, but there's definitely a connection between

  the coming Antichrist, the son of perdition and Judas Iscariot.

  Some teach and some believe that the Antichrist may be a resurrected version of Judas Iscariot.

  So, the Bible says that whenever in the book of Acts, whenever he hung himself,

  that he went unto his own place.

  What does that mean? You know, so anyway, again, not to get into a whole thing

  on Judas Iscariot, but there's definitely a connection there with him.

  And then, of course, you have the Holy Spirit. That's the third part of the

  train. So, you have God the father.

  So you have the father of the devil, you have God, the son, you have the son

  of perdition, and then you have the Holy Spirit.

  And then 2 Corinthians 11, 4 talks about the spirit of Antichrist.

  And Paul says it's working now. There's a spirit of Antichrist.

  He talks about that in 2 Thessalonians as well.

  So the devil has, he's a trinity. He's a father.

  He has a son. And he has a spirit.

  And you also see those three operating in the book of Revelation,

  Okay? So the false prophet is a type of the Holy Spirit. but on the devil's

  side, and he's the spirit that's going to work in bringing religious,

  you know, religious domination, this one world global, you know,

  Then you have the son of perdition, which is obviously, that's going to be the Antichrist.

  That's going to be the son of perdition. And then you have the beast,

  2 that he's going to perform miracles and wonders that will deceive the people

  so he'll be able to do miracles just like Jesus Christ did. But here's the thing.

  Satan, again, is the perfect counterfeit of God.

  There's a counterfeit Christ, 1 John 2.18. There's a counterfeit gospel, Galatians 1.8.

  There's a synagogue of Satan and the whore of Revelation, Babylon the Great,

  Mystery Babylon, which is the bride of the son of God, of the son of the devil, basically.

  Revelation 2.9 is a synagogue of Satan, so he's got his own church.

  And of course, in 2 Thessalonians 11 through 13, you have false apostles.

  So he's got his own apostles. he's got his own

  religious frameworks to operate again it's not about you know rock music it's

  emulation you know you go back to galatians chapter 5 and chapter 6 those are all works of the flesh.

  Okay if you want to know what the work in the in the ministry of the devil is it's religious,

  so it's not the dark arts and witchcraft and satan is together it's it's it's

  religious like as in the the mormon church the jw's the seventh-day adventists the pentecostals,

  yeah that's what i mean that's the devil's operating but you know the the the

  pentagram stuff that witchcraft satanic all that stuff those are too obvious

  that's not the way the devil operates.

  He's going to operate like a Baptist minister. Yeah, I was going to say,

  like a preacher said, that he's going to be wearing a suit and tie with a Bible under his arm.

  He'll walk in and he'll get just as much praise and glorification as any minister

  So, from the religious point of view, he's got his own religious framework.

  Well, then obviously what's going to happen is during the tribulation,

  he's going to set up a counterfeit political kingdom.

  Jesus Christ is supposed to rule and reign during the millennial reign.

  Well, guess what? He's going to rule and reign for a very, very,

  very short period of time.

  But he's got a literal seed that's going to rule on this earth.

  And that's prophesied in Genesis 3.15.

  Remember, God said, the woman's seed and his seed, the woman's seed is going

  to bruise his head. Thou shalt bruise his heel.

  Well, that was Jesus Christ. It's prophesied, you know, the virgin,

  you know, a woman can't have a seed. She doesn't carry the seed.

  But that's a picture and a prophecy of the virgin birth of Christ.

  Well, he said, God said, it's the woman's seed against the devil's seed. Yeah.

  So there's a seed that exists that's going to pop up.

  Well, he's got a capital city. Revelation 17, 18 is the unholy city.

  Well, guess what? God has a holy city, which is Jerusalem, which is interesting

  because in the book of Revelation, it's called spiritual.

  Spiritually, it's called Sodom and Egypt.

  That's how wicked Jerusalem. Here's the thing about Jerusalem.

  You know, when people may not understand this, the very first time we just went

  through, you know, a study in the book of Judges. You remember, Alan?

  first time the word Jerusalem shows up is in the book of Judges.

  And it has to do with warfare and bloodshed. And here's the irony.

  Jerusalem is called, you know, the last part of the word is Salem,

  which is shalom, which is peace.

  And I think it's something like over 270 times over the past, you know,

  several thousand years, two or three thousand years is, you know,

  Jerusalem has been ransacked, part of war, bloodshed, you name it.

  And yet it's called the city of peace.

  And what's the irony in that? People are like, well, how could it be called

  the city of peace? It's easy. You start reading Isaiah 2 and other places.

  Guess what? All war will end in Jerusalem.

  That's why it's called the city of peace. It's the bloodiest city on the face of the planet.

  And yet God, and this just shows the wisdom of God is greater than the wisdom

  of men. It's foolishness to men.

  But because when it comes down to it, that city, which is the holy city of God, will end all wars.

  Now, the devil has his own, and it started in Genesis 11 with the Tower of Babylon

  and the kingdom of Akkad and Nimrod, which was Babylon.

  But the Bible, it's interesting, in Revelation 17, it's called Mystery Babylon.

  So it goes from a geopolitical, you know, form into a mystery form by the tribulation.

  And of course, you know, I believe it's inherently tied with the Roman Catholic

  Church, because Roman Catholic Church has been geopolitical on top of its religious

  structure for over 1,500 years.

  He has a throne, you know, it speaks about it in Revelation 2.13.

  And of course, he has a world government, Revelation 13.2-8.

  He's going to control money. He's going to control, you know, economy.

  where the slaves, men are slaves and the souls of men are part of its,

  you know, its goods and trades and stuff like that.

  So Satan mimics the millennial kingdom with tangible geopolitical assets,

  and people need to understand that.

  So not only does he have a religious framework, he has a political framework as well.

  Okay. So the Bible gives us 18 different descriptions or names of the devil,

  which is interesting because 18 is six times three, which is six plus six plus six.

  Number six, the tempter, Matthew 4.3.

  Number seven, the enemy, Matthew 13.25. Number eight, the adversary, 1 Peter 5.8.

  And it's deception by using things that look holy, that look righteous, that look good, okay?

  passionate, emotional preaching is a tool of Satan.

  You know why? Because it distracts you from what the Bible actually says.

  If you get a preacher that stands up behind a pulpit and will preach the ever-living

  devil out of you by, you know, talking about dress codes, talking about tithing,
• 46:17
  talking about, you know, you know, music, soul winning, all that stuff.

  And you never learn one ounce of Bible.

  The devil is one. Huge distraction, right?

  I don't think people understand the importance of that because Jesus Christ

  said, he goes, I'm not even going to judge you.

  There's one that's going to judge you in the last day, John 12, 48.

  Even my word shall judge you.

  And, you know, Jesus Christ, when he defeated the devil, he didn't just defeat him by sheer willpower.

  He defeated the devil by quoting scripture to the devil.

  And if you don't understand how important knowing and understanding the Bible

  is, because here's the thing, you and I can't, no Christian can develop a Christian
• 47:05
  worldview without the Word of God. Nobody can.

  That means we would be completely, totally unable to fight against the false
• 47:14
  worldviews and philosophies of this world if we don't know what the mind of Christ is.

  And we covered that in 1 Corinthians 2, the revelatory epistemology.

  The only reason we know what we know about God is because of the Word of God.

  The only way we can identify the devil's tactics is by the Word of God.

  The only reason we can understand—and so if you get a preacher that's supposed
• 47:37
  to labor in word and doctrine, stand behind a pulpit and sit there and tell
• 47:41
  you all his convictions and tells you all the stories about his ministry, but he will never,
• 47:47
  ever once ground you in the doctrine of the Word of God.

  He is weakening the hands of his congregation because that congregation can
• 47:58
  be deceived by the things they get across social media.

  They can be deceived by their religious uncle who can quote just as much Bible as their pastor.

  They can be deceived by their religious neighbor that happens to be a charismatic person.

  Right? And they pray for the healing of cancer in their family and God heals
• 48:17
  that cancer. What are you going to do?

  You see, the problem is, is when you fail to rightly divide the word truth and

  like, you know, we covered the seven mysteries or at least seven,

  I believe there's more than that, but the seven mysteries that we covered,

  we talked about how vital that was to Christian maturity and growth.

  If you can't even identify that and you've never studied those mysteries out,

  that means you could fall victim.

  that commented on one of our YouTube channels after we did the mysteries,

  and he was a replacement theologian. He was a supersessionist.

  He rejects that there's a distinction between Israel and the church,

  and he was arguing until he was blue in the face with us.

  And I want to cover some of his arguments because that just highlights why understanding

  those mysteries are so important.

  Well, guess what? If you have a church where you're not learning doctrine,

  you're not learning how to rightly divide, then how are you going to prevent

  the devil from stepping in and infiltrating your church and infecting it with false doctrine?

  How are you going to be able to prevent that from happening?

  You won't be able to, you'll be left vulnerable.

  And it's like being handed a weapon and not knowing how to use it or being trained to use it.

  appears openly evil that's not the way he operates his most effective disguise

  is holiness and righteousness and a godly man of god.

  The Bible says they preach for 42 months, three and a half years during the tribulation.

  The Bible says that the Antichrist will eventually overcome them and kill them.

  Okay? And the Bible says that their bodies are lying in the streets for three days.

  And you know what the reaction of the people of those days are?

  Is they're rejoicing and giving each other gifts. It's like Christmas all over again.

  Yeah, Christmas time. Because of what those two prophets represented.

  And so what's interesting is all the preaching and the tribulation is for the Jew.

  It's for the Jew to realize that, hey, you killed your Messiah.

  Jesus Christ was your true Messiah. This guy that you accepted as your Messiah

  that sat on the throne and committed abomination and desolation and commanded

  that you worship him as God, you now found out he's not your God.

  And so the whole point of the tribulation is to purge the Jews and get them
• 1:15:52
  to finally accept their Messiah.

  Well, all of that leads on, listen, a spirit of anti-Semitism is a spirit of Antichrist.

  The devil, ever since he knew that his seed would be hurt or destroyed or annihilated

  by the seed of the woman, which is the lineage of Jesus Christ follows the Jewish lineage.

  He's from the tribe of Judah, right?

  I mean, those promises that were given to Abraham were given to Isaac and also
• 1:16:22
  given to Jacob and then passed on to the 12 tribes.

  So what has the devil been trying to do all throughout biblical history is wipe out those Jews?

  He's got a special, intense hatred of the Jewish people.

  Isn't it ironic that you have people that are Christians today that call themselves

  Christians, and they have the same kind of hatred of the Jewish people like

  the devil does? Yeah, it's satanic, isn't it?

  So this whole, you know, study on angels, it kind of leads us to this conclusion

  about, hey, the devil is the ultimate enemy, obviously, of the Christian,

  but he's also the ultimate enemy of the Jews.

  Never forget that. And the way that the events are unfolding today,

  that, you know, the opening of the doors,

  you know, the veil is being opened and we're starting to see the mechanisms

  and the workings and the entrapments of the tribulation, the whole stage is being set up.

  And anti-Semitism is at the heart of it.

  Replacement theology is at the heart of it. The failure to rightly divide is at the heart of it.

  Now, there's people that villainize dispensational teaching.

  They say that Schofield was financed by the Rothschilds to put together the
• 1:17:37
  Schofield Bible, that Larkin and Darby and all these other ones.

  You know, they invented dispensationalism late in the 1800s,

  which is funny because, you know, they say that Darby got it from this girl
• 1:17:53
  on Sousa Street that had dreams about multiple raptures.

  Well, come to find out all those accusations are false, that he didn't—what
• 1:18:01
  he believed, what Darby taught, what Schofield taught is completely,
• 1:18:04
  exactly the opposite of what that young girl had dreams of.
• 1:18:08
  And, you know, that's another one we could probably go into later on.

  But the whole point of it is, is there's a lot of falsehood being spread and
• 1:18:15
  lies to get people to reject dispensational teaching.

  And isn't it interesting that you've got some fundamentalist independent Baptist
• 1:18:23
  churches that also villainize dispensational teaching?

  They don't have anything to do with it. They look at it as extremism.

  And yet that is the only way to properly understand your Bible is dispensationally.

  Because if you reject dispensationalism, you reject the literal interpretation of scripture.

  You reject literal prophecies that have yet to come to fulfillment.

  You reject the distinction between the Jew and the Gentile and the church and
• 1:18:51
  misunderstand the future programs of Israel, and you start to ignore the signposts.

  I'm not saying that this is literal prophecy that we're seeing today,

  but anything that is prophetic in nature is always connected to Israel, not the church.

  And so people, when you don't know how to rightly divide your Bible,

  you will easily get caught up in this false religious deception.

  And if you get caught up in this false religious deception and you become anti-Semitic
• 1:19:20
  as a result of it, you have fallen right square in the hands of the devil.

  You're accomplishing exactly what the devil wants to accomplish. Yep. It's pretty deep.

  And that's why we need to be knowledgeable and aware. And again,

  you got to stick to this book. That's right.

  You know, there's one, before we wrap it up, there's always one thing.

  You brought this up early on about Satan's irrationality.

  Like he's basically out of his mind. He has to be crazy.

  And there's always one thing that I always thought about growing up is if the

  devil knows the word of God better than most Christians.

  Yeah. A fact, right? You know, he does.

  And then because he knows the Word of God better than anybody else,

  than most Christians, he knows what happens in the end.

  He knows what happens to him. It makes sense. He has to be irrational. He has to be fallacious.

  Continue doing what he's doing that none of it really makes it doesn't really

  matter he's going to end up with the same outcome in hell burning so the only

  logical conclusion to that is he's got to be crazy you know he's got to be irrational.

  He's got to think the way he does. But anyways, I wanted to bring that up.

  Isn't that a perfect description of our generation today? Yeah, there you go. Exactly.

  But it all makes sense. You know, of course it does. It's just he's got to question

  the word. He's got to cause confusion.

  He's going to think fallaciously. And you see the world think exactly just like

  that fallaciously about things. Hating the truth.

  I mean, it all lines up and it makes sense. But it was just something I always

  thought about. Like, why does he even try?

  You know, he has to be right. He has to be crazy. He can't be thinking straight.
