- 0:00Speaker 1: And now move the sticks with Daniel Jeremiah and Bucky Brooks.
- 0:07Speaker 2: What's up everybody? Welcome to move the sticks on a Monday.
- 0:10Speaker 2: DJ Buck and Baldy Buck. I know where you are
- 0:13Speaker 2: every week because the Jags, Baldi, I'm always my first question,
- 0:16Speaker 2: where the heck were you yesterday?
- 0:18Speaker 3: Well, I met the NFL network here in La today,
- 0:20Speaker 3: I was. I was doing the Rams yesterday, Rams Colts.
- 0:23Speaker 3: So it was, uh, you know, the Rams put up
- 0:26Speaker 3: two touchdowns there in the final four minutes to win
- 0:28Speaker 3: that game, but it was, uh, you know it was
- 0:31Speaker 3: it was you could see why both teams could be
- 0:33Speaker 3: real good this year.
- 0:34Speaker 2: No question. We're gonna get to that. We're gonna get
- 0:36Speaker 2: to that game. And in a few minutes here, Uh,
- 0:38Speaker 2: let's start off with what was billed as the game
- 0:40Speaker 2: of the week. Uh didn't end up being all that
- 0:42Speaker 2: competitive or close. But Baltimore Kansas City, Baldy well, you see.
- 0:47Speaker 3: I just see this Baltimore defense is a is a
- 0:50Speaker 3: real problem.
- 0:51Speaker 4: Uh you know, just whether it's two things.
- 0:53Speaker 3: One what we took for granted and Derrick Henry just
- 0:56Speaker 3: having another monster year. It had it hadn't started except
- 0:59Speaker 3: for a few runs against Buffalo. He's really been shut down.
- 1:03Speaker 3: He can't really get started. And then defensively, you know,
- 1:07Speaker 3: they're playing from behind in these games, and they can't
- 1:10Speaker 3: stop anybody right now. They don't have a pass rush,
- 1:13Speaker 3: and all of a sudden, I just don't understand some
- 1:16Speaker 3: of the things that they're doing, you know, to stop
- 1:18Speaker 3: other teams. But defensively, they're a mess right now. They
- 1:20Speaker 3: started off a mess last year and then they kind
- 1:23Speaker 3: of figured things out in the second half of the
- 1:24Speaker 3: season and they got a lot better. But they look
- 1:27Speaker 3: like they look like the defense that started the year
- 1:30Speaker 3: a year ago, Like new defensive coordinator Zach Worrn, just
- 1:34Speaker 3: not really sure they're personnel.
- 1:36Speaker 4: And it's been a real issue here through the first month.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Look, I'll take the other side of it, and I'll
- 1:43Speaker 1: talk about the Kansas City Chiefs, and I never knew
- 1:46Speaker 1: that Xavier Worthy could potentially make that much of a
- 1:49Speaker 1: difference for their offense. But having the long ball, or
- 1:53Speaker 1: the threat of the long ball, really opens up everything
- 1:55Speaker 1: for them. They still can't run the ball the way
- 1:57Speaker 1: they want to run it. They still don't have a
- 1:59Speaker 1: thread in the backfield that makes you change. But having
- 2:01Speaker 1: the one guy on the fields avery worthy that can
- 2:03Speaker 1: stretch the field, opens up everything for everybody else. And
- 2:08Speaker 1: when you think about the Chiefs, one being able to
- 2:10Speaker 1: go for over three hundred yards, being able to open
- 2:13Speaker 1: it up even though he didn't have one hundred yard day,
- 2:14Speaker 1: but just setting the table, this looked more like the
- 2:18Speaker 1: fun Chiefs that we talked about. We talked about making
- 2:20Speaker 1: the Chiefs fun again, Like this looked like that version
- 2:23Speaker 1: that they could eventually get to. There's still a ceiling
- 2:26Speaker 1: to it in my mind without the running game, but
- 2:29Speaker 1: at least from a passing game perspective, they can deliver
- 2:32Speaker 1: some explosive plays because they have a explosive guy that
- 2:34Speaker 1: can command the double team and open up the field
- 2:37Speaker 1: for the rest of the guys.
- 2:38Speaker 2: Yeah, I was glad to see Mishard Smith got some touches.
- 2:41Speaker 2: We've been begging for that to that so he can
- 2:42Speaker 2: see weeks ago. Yeah, give him some speed, he give
- 2:45Speaker 2: him a little pop. So he made a couple of plays.
- 2:48Speaker 2: But interesting thing to me again, because I'm I don't
- 2:50Speaker 2: see these games on TV. I just kind of I
- 2:52Speaker 2: go through the box score and I kind of see
- 2:54Speaker 2: what grabs my eye and that informs what I want
- 2:55Speaker 2: to watch. So first thing, it jumped out. They had
- 2:57Speaker 2: the ball for thirty four to forty five, so they
- 2:59Speaker 2: controlled the ball at Baltimore off the field. So how
- 3:01Speaker 2: do you do that? Well, you're four to four on
- 3:03Speaker 2: fourth downs and I don't know there's a better I
- 3:06Speaker 2: don't know if there's a better play caller or a
- 3:08Speaker 2: better quarterback on fourth down than Andy Reid combined with
- 3:11Speaker 2: Patrick Mahomes, and what they do They give themselves multiple options.
- 3:15Speaker 2: I went through the four of them. So the four
- 3:17Speaker 2: four conversions. You get a little roll right, you get
- 3:19Speaker 2: a little rub route in the flat where if it's there,
- 3:22Speaker 2: boom and he takes a ma Homes take it. If
- 3:23Speaker 2: it's not there, he's going to use his legs and
- 3:25Speaker 2: run and get it anyway. So you get him. There's
- 3:27Speaker 2: a theme to it, getting Mahomes out to his right,
- 3:29Speaker 2: his dominant side where he's very comfortable there. Then they
- 3:32Speaker 2: ran the ball power behind Simmons, who's already playing at
- 3:35Speaker 2: a really high level. The left tackle is going to
- 3:37Speaker 2: be a good player. They can run behind him, he
- 3:40Speaker 2: can move people. Then you go back, Okay, now we're
- 3:43Speaker 2: going to boot to the right again. Mahomes has options
- 3:46Speaker 2: to run it. He finds the little crosser deep cross
- 3:48Speaker 2: hits I think was Hollywood Brown for a touchdown, and
- 3:50Speaker 2: then they come back in the exact same look. He
- 3:53Speaker 2: wheels out and this time he just gives it inside.
- 3:55Speaker 2: So everything kind of plays off of one another. There's
- 3:58Speaker 2: a theme of trying to get it to that right side.
- 4:01Speaker 2: It's just to me, it's it's baldy, It's option football.
- 4:04Speaker 2: Really is what it is.
- 4:05Speaker 3: Well, what you're saying DJ is and you're right. I mean,
- 4:07Speaker 3: Andy Reid is a master. But I mean it's two things.
- 4:09Speaker 3: It's the trust in Mahomes to go for it on
- 4:12Speaker 3: fourth down, to know that he's going to give you
- 4:14Speaker 3: a chance. And then in Andy's design, in Nagu's design,
- 4:18Speaker 3: all right, what are the answers.
- 4:20Speaker 4: If they do this?
- 4:21Speaker 3: If they take this away on the rub route, you know,
- 4:24Speaker 3: going to the right, I mean, if they take that
- 4:25Speaker 3: away and they jump it, uh, you know, where's where's
- 4:28Speaker 3: where's the answer? And so I always feel like they're
- 4:31Speaker 3: thinking next level because a lot of these fourth down
- 4:34Speaker 3: plays you see in the league, and everybody is you know,
- 4:36Speaker 3: kind of ranching that up and trying to keep possession
- 4:38Speaker 3: right now, you know, Okay, if if the the route
- 4:43Speaker 3: that you called isn't there because whatever happens, you know,
- 4:46Speaker 3: where is where's your option?
- 4:48Speaker 4: And I feel like they think that all the way through.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean every quarterback I've ever talked to it,
- 4:52Speaker 2: I'm sure you've had similar experiences. Baldi, It's like what
- 4:55Speaker 2: do they want? They just get, Hey, give me answers, Like,
- 4:58Speaker 2: give me some answers to whatever I'm gonna see. I
- 5:00Speaker 2: need to have an answer that that. I don't know
- 5:02Speaker 2: anybody's done that better than Andy.
- 5:04Speaker 4: No.
- 5:04Speaker 3: I mean that's you know, you know, you just give
- 5:08Speaker 3: them some hogindos, you know on Tuesday night, you know,
- 5:11Speaker 3: and let him just go tinker DJ I mean that's
- 5:14Speaker 3: I mean, honestly, that's what he does. Like he's tinkering
- 5:17Speaker 3: all the time. And that's why, you know, you talk
- 5:19Speaker 3: to Mahomes before these games. When I get a chance
- 5:22Speaker 3: to talk to him, and I'm like, how many new
- 5:24Speaker 3: plays this week? Bet, And It's like, oh, we got
- 5:26Speaker 3: like six six seven new ones. I can't wait, you know,
- 5:29Speaker 3: and they're wrapping them and walking through it and put
- 5:31Speaker 3: it on the board and the whole thing and then
- 5:34Speaker 3: you know, if if it has the right amount of
- 5:36Speaker 3: answers depending on what the defense are gonna do to you.
- 5:39Speaker 3: Then they're gonna put it in the game plan, and
- 5:41Speaker 3: then it's a question of you know, they're gonna pull
- 5:42Speaker 3: it out or not. But it's, uh, it's what do
- 5:45Speaker 3: we have? You know, Buck, you just talking May, You're
- 5:47Speaker 3: worthy back in line.
- 5:48Speaker 4: What do we have? What are they doing? What are
- 5:50Speaker 4: they you know?
- 5:51Speaker 3: You know, those first fifteen are all about, Okay, we're
- 5:54Speaker 3: gonna give you this formation, We're gonna give you this look.
- 5:56Speaker 4: How they match it up with it?
- 5:57Speaker 3: And so they're only they're almost building their game play
- 6:00Speaker 3: off the first fifteen to start that game, and then's
- 6:03Speaker 3: a question down distant situation and what's in our playbook
- 6:06Speaker 3: right here?
- 6:08Speaker 2: No doubt they do it really really well. I know
- 6:10Speaker 2: we're how about a month away from Halloween. I'd love
- 6:13Speaker 2: to see the Ravens dress up as a good defense again.
- 6:15Speaker 2: That'd be fun. It'll be fun to watch. Been a
- 6:17Speaker 2: medicince we've seen that. Dallas, Green Bay Baldy h So,
- 6:21Speaker 2: you know, I.
- 6:22Speaker 3: Mean it's a shootout. Dak was awesome. I mean both
- 6:24Speaker 3: quarterbacks were great, really great. Dak makes that throw at
- 6:29Speaker 3: the end they try to go down in overtime to
- 6:31Speaker 3: win it with a touchdown. He makes that throw to
- 6:33Speaker 3: Jalen Tolbert. I mean, Michaeh Parsons, He's all over them
- 6:38Speaker 3: and I don't even know how he got the ball
- 6:40Speaker 3: down the field. Now, I'm not sure what Keshawn Nixon
- 6:42Speaker 3: was doing and he ends one look like he just stopped.
- 6:45Speaker 4: But you know, Dak gave Tolbert.
- 6:46Speaker 3: I'm told he made a great catch, great toe tap
- 6:48Speaker 3: on the sideline.
- 6:50Speaker 4: But I thought that. I thought Dak was on his game.
- 6:54Speaker 3: And this is, you know, without CD, nobody thought, Okay
- 6:56Speaker 3: Pickens could make the plays that he did. The catcher run,
- 7:00Speaker 3: the sideline, stuff like he was a monster in that game.
- 7:04Speaker 3: But so Cobert ferguson how they ran the ball. I
- 7:07Speaker 3: got to give shot a lot of credit. The offense
- 7:11Speaker 3: is a really good offense. And that's with a backup center.
- 7:14Speaker 3: It's with the you know, backup right guard. It's you know, uh,
- 7:18Speaker 3: you know they lost Guitton for a little while. I
- 7:19Speaker 3: mean it was with backups up there. And the way
- 7:22Speaker 3: that you know the quarterback's playing great and the offense
- 7:24Speaker 3: is well designed is you're playing with backups and you
- 7:27Speaker 3: don't even know it.
- 7:28Speaker 4: And that's a.
- 7:28Speaker 3: Credit because I thought Tyler Booker was playing great, but
- 7:32Speaker 3: you know, they went in there with TJ the whole group.
- 7:35Speaker 3: Hoffman played really good at center, but I thought Dak
- 7:39Speaker 3: got rid of the ball quickly because Michael was winning
- 7:41Speaker 3: his pass rushers one after another, and but Dak was
- 7:44Speaker 3: beaten with the speed of delivery, speed of decision making,
- 7:47Speaker 3: and he saw the.
- 7:48Speaker 4: Field really, really well. It was. It was a great game.
- 7:50Speaker 3: I mean, if you like offense, if you like great
- 7:52Speaker 3: quarterback play, go play a six quarter, you know.
- 7:56Speaker 4: Like four let's let's keep going. It's bought. It's funny
- 8:02Speaker 4: that she talked about the Cowboys.
- 8:03Speaker 1: I finally saw a path to victory for them down
- 8:06Speaker 1: the line in terms of how they can play, and
- 8:09Speaker 1: I think is very similar to the way that they
- 8:11Speaker 1: played last night.
- 8:12Speaker 4: The offense has to be great each and every week.
- 8:14Speaker 1: But if this defense can really hone in on the
- 8:17Speaker 1: things that Matt Eberfluss wants to do where they're playing bimba,
- 8:20Speaker 1: don't break, don't give up the big plays and those things.
- 8:23Speaker 1: The only issue that I have with their personnel, they're
- 8:26Speaker 1: not disciplined or detailed enough to really play the Tampa
- 8:29Speaker 1: two style that he wants to play. They just have
- 8:32Speaker 1: egregious bust and errors at critical moments that lead to
- 8:36Speaker 1: big plays. If they can just literally get aligned and
- 8:42Speaker 1: understand the assignment with their offense playing the way that
- 8:45Speaker 1: they played last night, they can win some games. You
- 8:48Speaker 1: don't want it to be in the thirties each week,
- 8:51Speaker 1: but if they can just keep it in front, find
- 8:53Speaker 1: a way to slow people down in the red zone,
- 8:55Speaker 1: there's a path for them to be a competitive team.
- 8:57Speaker 4: I'm not saying they'd be a playoff team, but.
- 8:59Speaker 1: They can be very competitive because you're right, Deck is
- 9:01Speaker 1: playing at a lights out level. You just need to
- 9:04Speaker 1: support the high level quarterback play with some solid bed
- 9:08Speaker 1: but don't break defense.
- 9:10Speaker 2: Yeah, let me let me wrap up what you guys
- 9:12Speaker 2: are both talking about here and put a little bow
- 9:13Speaker 2: on it and we'll move on to Philly Tampa. But
- 9:16Speaker 2: you talked about Pickings there initially, Baldy going back through
- 9:19Speaker 2: all this stuff, eight for a buck, thirty four and
- 9:20Speaker 2: two touchdowns. So Pickings gets kind of labeled because he's
- 9:23Speaker 2: so rangy and athletic and fast, like he's just your
- 9:26Speaker 2: vertical down the field guy. But when you go through this,
- 9:28Speaker 2: there's some nuance to him as a route runner, he widens,
- 9:31Speaker 2: widens guys on a seam to create a bigger window
- 9:34Speaker 2: for a throw. He catches a whole shot. You get
- 9:36Speaker 2: him on a one step slant. He can get you
- 9:38Speaker 2: on that stuff as well. There was a lot of
- 9:40Speaker 2: different variety to how he won in this game. Did
- 9:43Speaker 2: a really really nice job. So you'll see him on curls,
- 9:45Speaker 2: like he's working back to the quarterback deep end cuts.
- 9:48Speaker 2: So he's not just a one trick pony. Like when
- 9:50Speaker 2: he's right, he's a full He's a full number one
- 9:53Speaker 2: caliber receiver. And that was on display in that game.
- 9:57Speaker 2: And I don't want to rain on the Cowboys, per
- 10:00Speaker 2: I just said some nice things about pickings, but when
- 10:02Speaker 2: their defense, I mean, guys, when you give up, when
- 10:05Speaker 2: you're eleven of fifteen allowed third and fourth downs in
- 10:07Speaker 2: that game, eleven of fifteen conversions, like they can't get
- 10:11Speaker 2: off the field, and you know, and I'm so that
- 10:14Speaker 2: that's not going to be something I think is going
- 10:16Speaker 2: to get drastically improved. They can't really get to the quarterback.
- 10:19Speaker 2: I worry about this team. I think I've scored a
- 10:22Speaker 2: ton of points, if that's a proper phrase, to win
- 10:25Speaker 2: a lot of games. In this league and then Baldy.
- 10:27Speaker 2: The last thing that I'll sum it up on is, man,
- 10:29Speaker 2: it wasn't that long ago. Green Bay early in the season,
- 10:32Speaker 2: and We're like, this is this super Bowl caliber and
- 10:34Speaker 2: I was saying, they made the right it's the right
- 10:36Speaker 2: time to go all in and get my you look up.
- 10:38Speaker 2: Cleveland's not good. They lost that game. Dallas I don't
- 10:41Speaker 2: think is very good, and they tied that game. They've come,
- 10:44Speaker 2: They've come fallen back to earth man, no question.
- 10:47Speaker 3: It was a two week where it looked like, okay,
- 10:50Speaker 3: you know, Halflee had it going on defensively, the whole thing,
- 10:53Speaker 3: and it has fallen apart. You know, they could not
- 10:57Speaker 3: I mean the week before against Cleveland, they couldn't do
- 10:59Speaker 3: anything off you know, and then yesterday a Dack did
- 11:02Speaker 3: whatever he wanted to do in that game offense.
- 11:05Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 11:05Speaker 2: Buck, one more quick nugget on this. I'm here for
- 11:08Speaker 2: all the tight end screens as a nood alarm quarterback.
- 11:11Speaker 4: You.
- 11:11Speaker 2: I mean when they they the Green Bay was dusting
- 11:14Speaker 2: that off several times in that game. There's no better
- 11:16Speaker 2: feeling than setting up a screen to a tight It's
- 11:18Speaker 2: the easiest throw and that that's ever been assembled in
- 11:20Speaker 2: a playbook and you got a little a little upside
- 11:22Speaker 2: with that thing as well.
- 11:25Speaker 3: As a guy that started my college career as a
- 11:27Speaker 3: tight end. Give me all the tight end screens you
- 11:30Speaker 3: want to give me, Give me all the dump you
- 11:32Speaker 3: know that seen dump, Give me give me all the
- 11:34Speaker 3: I'll catch those.
- 11:35Speaker 4: You know those six yard plays all day long.
- 11:37Speaker 2: Man delay, give me, give me a couple of delay releases.
- 11:40Speaker 2: I'm not.
- 11:42Speaker 4: Delay.
- 11:42Speaker 3: And we get off like there's six different ways you
- 11:44Speaker 3: can get tight ends the ball.
- 11:46Speaker 4: Oh yeah, yeah, I meaning a bunch though.
- 11:48Speaker 2: I feel like we're seeing a lot of tight end
- 11:50Speaker 2: screens every week watching watching the bunch of these games.
- 11:53Speaker 2: Uh hey, once you start us off on this one,
- 11:56Speaker 2: Buck Philly Tampa Bay, weird game. I would say Tampa
- 12:01Speaker 2: Bay ended up coming back a little bit. But what
- 12:03Speaker 2: you see on this one.
- 12:04Speaker 1: I mean, for as great as the Philadelphia goes, look
- 12:07Speaker 1: the first half jumping all over the Buccaneers, they couldn't
- 12:10Speaker 1: do anything the second half offensively. And it's the craziest
- 12:13Speaker 1: thing to kind of watch this team that we celebrate
- 12:16Speaker 1: having won twenty out of their last twenty one, but
- 12:19Speaker 1: they always leave you kind of wanting a little more
- 12:22Speaker 1: so I want to give them credit for finding a
- 12:24Speaker 1: way to get it done, but you still have so
- 12:27Speaker 1: many other things that they could get to aj Brown
- 12:30Speaker 1: only having two catches, Like.
- 12:32Speaker 4: Did he say anything? Did he?
- 12:33Speaker 2: Did he say anything after the game? Because I haven't
- 12:35Speaker 2: seen anything I could. I'll get to this body language
- 12:37Speaker 2: in a minute. But it wasn't great at the end.
- 12:39Speaker 4: Of this game.
- 12:39Speaker 1: I think he tweeted something, but I didn't get a
- 12:41Speaker 1: chance to read it yet, but I heard it is
- 12:45Speaker 1: a little tweet that kind of aired it out a little.
- 12:48Speaker 2: Yeah, Gavin and Drew help us out in the chat
- 12:50Speaker 2: on that one, Baldy, what have you seen there? I mean, gosh,
- 12:53Speaker 2: they keep winning, man.
- 12:55Speaker 3: I mean yeah, I mean, look, you know Kevin Patoul's
- 12:58Speaker 3: under you know, the hot lights, even though the four
- 13:00Speaker 3: and zero, but he had They scored three red zone touchdowns.
- 13:03Speaker 3: They were all different plays, all extremely well designed, all
- 13:07Speaker 3: perfectly executed, and so I thought, okay, three touchdowns, three
- 13:12Speaker 3: red zone touchdowns, three really different designs.
- 13:14Speaker 4: That's good. Uh. Todd Bowles blitz from the.
- 13:16Speaker 3: First game, first play of the game, then an answer
- 13:19Speaker 3: for the blitz the entire first half, and that's how
- 13:21Speaker 3: they jumped to that lead. They weren't fooled by anything
- 13:24Speaker 3: they had. They had the right read they had Uh.
- 13:26Speaker 3: Jalen knew where to go with the ball and that's
- 13:28Speaker 3: something he struggled against Todd Bowles in the past. And
- 13:31Speaker 3: on the other side, I haven't seen a corner play
- 13:33Speaker 3: better than Quinnon Mitchell than what he did in that game.
- 13:37Speaker 3: I mean, he defended one pass after another. He wasn't
- 13:41Speaker 3: called for any penalties. He plays the game with his
- 13:43Speaker 3: feet and his eyes. He's in position. Abuca made the
- 13:47Speaker 3: big play obviously, you know said, but that wasn't against him.
- 13:50Speaker 3: That was a you know, two scrambled drill touchdowns that
- 13:52Speaker 3: Baker kept him in the game on, uh, you know,
- 13:55Speaker 3: one to Abuka and then one.
- 13:56Speaker 4: To to Bucky.
- 13:57Speaker 3: But I thought, I I thought Quinnon was absolutely awesome
- 14:02Speaker 3: in that game.
- 14:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I'd said before the season started, I talked to
- 14:05Speaker 2: somebody in the organization who said, Quinna and Mitchell, you know,
- 14:09Speaker 2: during camp, he's our best football player, not like he's
- 14:11Speaker 2: our best dB, he's our best defensive player. Like he's
- 14:14Speaker 2: the best player on our team. I was like, Wow, Okay,
- 14:16Speaker 2: that's a that's power statement. He's lived up to it
- 14:19Speaker 2: with what he's done so far. By the way, that
- 14:20Speaker 2: quote that tweet, I guess was if you're not welcomed,
- 14:24Speaker 2: not listened quietly withdraw, don't make a scene, shrug your
- 14:28Speaker 2: shoulders and be on your way. Oh it's a Bible
- 14:31Speaker 2: verse mark six eleven. I wasn't familiar that, so throught
- 14:34Speaker 2: me off guard on that one. Okay, interesting, but he
- 14:38Speaker 2: looked going going, getting to that point, going through and
- 14:40Speaker 2: just looking at all his I went through all hurt stuff,
- 14:42Speaker 2: just watched all his stuff. So they start off early.
- 14:45Speaker 2: One of the ways I like it when you have
- 14:46Speaker 2: a plan in place, when you get to get a
- 14:48Speaker 2: blitz heavy team like they were going to see, get
- 14:50Speaker 2: the backs involved. I'd much rather be throwing in my
- 14:53Speaker 2: backs and ask my backs to be in there trying
- 14:55Speaker 2: to sort out all the chaos that's coming their way.
- 14:57Speaker 2: Give give you some easy completions there. I think the
- 15:00Speaker 2: you know, they did a nice job designed some stuff
- 15:02Speaker 2: their short yardage. A little scoop to Goddard was was
- 15:05Speaker 2: a creative play call down there and body you touched
- 15:07Speaker 2: on that the aj Brown stuff specifically. I think where
- 15:11Speaker 2: his frustration came was there was a couple opportunities early
- 15:15Speaker 2: in game where he's one on one, it's a fifty
- 15:17Speaker 2: to fifty situation. He's vertical down the field, and I
- 15:20Speaker 2: think in his mind and rightfully so, he's like, hey,
- 15:23Speaker 2: this is you got to take these shots like I'm here,
- 15:26Speaker 2: give me a chance to make these plays. And Hurtz
- 15:28Speaker 2: turned it down a couple times, and then at the
- 15:31Speaker 2: end after that, you could kind of see his body
- 15:33Speaker 2: language getting frustrated. And then like the gosh, the last
- 15:37Speaker 2: five or six throws they tried to you could tell
- 15:39Speaker 2: he must have been barking or there was some because
- 15:41Speaker 2: they were aggressively trying to force feed him the ball,
- 15:45Speaker 2: and it just wasn't in the flow of the game.
- 15:47Speaker 2: It wasn't in the rhythm of the offense. It just
- 15:49Speaker 2: it was off. It was definitely off. And the body language.
- 15:52Speaker 2: Just watching the All twenty two stuff, you could see
- 15:54Speaker 2: the slump shoulders, you could see the frustration. I mean,
- 15:57Speaker 2: they throw them a screen out there and DeVante Smith
- 16:00Speaker 2: just leaves the guy over him to go block. Malat
- 16:02Speaker 2: has got no chance to get out there and get
- 16:04Speaker 2: the corner, so he gets tackled for a tackle for loss.
- 16:06Speaker 2: He just you could see the frustration building. That's why
- 16:09Speaker 2: I didn't even know that he had tweeted anything. I
- 16:12Speaker 2: just thought watching that game, watching that tape, I'm like,
- 16:14Speaker 2: surely something was said in the post game, and it
- 16:17Speaker 2: turns out he did it and way of.
- 16:19Speaker 3: It just on the other side, you know, I know,
- 16:22Speaker 3: Baker was unbelievable. Like that guy, his competitive he's just
- 16:27Speaker 3: a warrior. Like I know, he had to be exhausted
- 16:29Speaker 3: at the end of that game, but the way that
- 16:31Speaker 3: he kept plays alive, he kept him in the game.
- 16:33Speaker 3: It wasn't pretty at all. His effort to just avoid rush.
- 16:39Speaker 3: They came after him a lot of different ways, like
- 16:42Speaker 3: to avoid the rush, to extend the play, to get out,
- 16:44Speaker 3: to keep plays alive, scrambling for first downs, like he
- 16:47Speaker 3: did everything he possibly could with a depleted group up
- 16:51Speaker 3: front on the right side, and you know, receivers out,
- 16:54Speaker 3: all that kind of stuff.
- 16:55Speaker 4: I mean, did get God went back. But it's it's
- 16:59Speaker 4: just no, it's just you can't.
- 17:02Speaker 3: You can't give that guy any more credit than than
- 17:04Speaker 3: than than what he just did on that field to
- 17:07Speaker 3: try and you know, pull that game out.
- 17:09Speaker 2: Baldy, if I told you that your family was going
- 17:13Speaker 2: to be held hostage and you needed to have one fighter.
- 17:16Speaker 2: When you a match within a cage, would you take
- 17:18Speaker 2: anybody other than a Lifeli a Baker. I would take Vidavea,
- 17:22Speaker 2: and I would he would be my representative to save
- 17:24Speaker 2: my family's life in the octorunity any other human being
- 17:27Speaker 2: in the National Football League Atlanta. Dickerson is a big
- 17:30Speaker 2: human being, and he displaced him rather easily.
- 17:34Speaker 4: Let me just say that.
- 17:35Speaker 3: Let's just say the equipment manager lost Vita Vea's equipment,
- 17:39Speaker 3: no helmet, no pads, no shoes. If he just went
- 17:42Speaker 3: out there in a pair of shorts, would it be
- 17:44Speaker 3: any different, Nould? Would he play any different? Like he'd
- 17:48Speaker 3: be the same guy.
- 17:50Speaker 2: That's not fair, Bucky. It just I mean, this is
- 17:52Speaker 2: the league of some really big strong I'm talking three
- 17:54Speaker 2: hundred and thirty six foot six. These are grown men,
- 17:58Speaker 2: and it is they don't have a chance. He's so
- 18:00Speaker 2: stinking strong man.
- 18:02Speaker 1: Yeah, but I mean imagine being in a high school
- 18:04Speaker 1: after attacking him at tailback.
- 18:06Speaker 4: I mean, just imagine that's what he was.
- 18:07Speaker 1: So the athleticism that you're talking about, that's what he
- 18:09Speaker 1: was doing when he was in high school, running the
- 18:11Speaker 1: rock on occasion.
- 18:14Speaker 4: He is terrific. He has been as good as advertised
- 18:16Speaker 4: when he was coming out.
- 18:18Speaker 1: His dominance at the point of attack really sets the
- 18:20Speaker 1: table when you think about what ty Bowles wants to
- 18:23Speaker 1: do defensively, having somebody like that up front as a
- 18:26Speaker 1: centerpiece only enhances the high pressure game plan that he
- 18:32Speaker 1: prefers to use. You know, Tampa. You know, is funny
- 18:35Speaker 1: because you don't take more victories in the pros. But
- 18:37Speaker 1: I think if anything, man, you come out of this
- 18:39Speaker 1: with a ton of confidence that you can go toe
- 18:41Speaker 1: to toe with the heavyweights. They're gonna win the division,
- 18:45Speaker 1: but they're gonna be right there to have one of
- 18:47Speaker 1: these high leverage matchups against either Detroit or Philly at
- 18:51Speaker 1: the end to determine whether they can be one of
- 18:52Speaker 1: those wants to get.
- 18:53Speaker 4: To the winner circle.
- 18:55Speaker 3: You know, obviously we'll get to the Pittsburgh game in Dublin,
- 18:58Speaker 3: you know. But they were always talking about, you know,
- 19:01Speaker 3: in uh, you know, sixteen international games and maybe a
- 19:04Speaker 3: team outside of the United States. If they ever put
- 19:07Speaker 3: a team in Samoa and they small in Malatta and
- 19:12Speaker 3: Vida and you just put all the Samons on a
- 19:13Speaker 3: team like they might run the table on the NFL
- 19:17Speaker 3: right now, Yeah, I.
- 19:18Speaker 2: Mean, that's gonna it's gonna bridge perfectly, Baldi because I
- 19:22Speaker 2: know they didn't win, but tweet below too. I think
- 19:24Speaker 2: had I believe he had four sacks.
- 19:25Speaker 3: It was here for the game. Yeah, four, He probably
- 19:28Speaker 3: had left two on the on the field.
- 19:30Speaker 2: Yeah, So we're gonna we're gonna stick a pin in that.
- 19:32Speaker 2: We're gonna come right back. We'll get to jackson darts debut,
- 19:34Speaker 2: and what a debut it was for him and the
- 19:36Speaker 2: Giants as they won over the previously undefeated Charters. We'll
- 19:39Speaker 2: get to that right after this. All right, guys, I
- 19:45Speaker 2: was there Chargers Giants. It was a game right from
- 19:49Speaker 2: the first drive for the Giants. They just went right
- 19:52Speaker 2: down the field, scataboo running the ball. I was telling
- 19:56Speaker 2: money as we were calling the game. I'm like, you're
- 19:58Speaker 2: gonna see darts legs on this drive because it's like
- 20:00Speaker 2: a new toy for Brian Dabole, and you will all
- 20:03Speaker 2: the new features of this thing. You want to you
- 20:04Speaker 2: want to test it all out here and really really
- 20:07Speaker 2: well designed uh offense down there they get down there
- 20:10Speaker 2: in the red zone, a little quarterback draw you got
- 20:12Speaker 2: scatabooed is a lead lead up there in the hole.
- 20:14Speaker 4: It's just it's so it's so.
- 20:18Speaker 2: Impactful when you have a quarterback who not only can
- 20:20Speaker 2: like run or make you miss, but it can run
- 20:22Speaker 2: with some power and some strength. You get in the
- 20:24Speaker 2: red zone. It just changes the math. He's got a
- 20:26Speaker 2: good lead blocker in there, and he did it on
- 20:28Speaker 2: a couple of different occasions, uh in this game. So
- 20:31Speaker 2: they had a really good plan there. There was some
- 20:33Speaker 2: The thing that most impressed me overall on Dart and
- 20:35Speaker 2: then Baldyale kick it over to you, but was some
- 20:39Speaker 2: long third downs he was able to convert with his
- 20:41Speaker 2: arm and his legs. He looked poised. Now he took
- 20:43Speaker 2: a lot of sacks to we pullow two got to
- 20:45Speaker 2: him a bunch. Then you know they got to him
- 20:47Speaker 2: and hit him in this game. He actually was a
- 20:49Speaker 2: little gimpy too, yeah at one point time, but kind
- 20:52Speaker 2: of fought through it. He had fifty four yards on
- 20:54Speaker 2: the ground and he had a really long run that
- 20:56Speaker 2: ended up getting called back. He would have had close
- 20:57Speaker 2: to one hundred yards. But to me, the toughness all
- 21:01Speaker 2: that stuff was there the third down and alongs like
- 21:03Speaker 2: keeping giving you hope. We always talk about that. You know,
- 21:06Speaker 2: you got a quarterback he provides some hope. But the
- 21:08Speaker 2: biggest thing to me, guys was when he came onto
- 21:11Speaker 2: the field. When he trotted out onto the field, like
- 21:13Speaker 2: the whole stadium lit up like he brings energy.
- 21:17Speaker 3: Man, he brought a lot of energy there, and the
- 21:19Speaker 3: fans played off it. I mean the touchdown run, I mean,
- 21:22Speaker 3: I mean that celebration was going on. The Giants hadn't
- 21:26Speaker 3: had a lead all year they got and it's you know,
- 21:29Speaker 3: and we'll get to the other the other side of it,
- 21:30Speaker 3: but you know, you you let that defense play with
- 21:33Speaker 3: the lead, and Dark got it in that you can
- 21:36Speaker 3: see the whole team got got a lift from it.
- 21:38Speaker 4: And you know, it's just, you know, the downer is
- 21:42Speaker 4: what happened to the leik, you know.
- 21:43Speaker 3: I mean, like here you are, you're trying to develop
- 21:45Speaker 3: this quarterback and then your star player over here is
- 21:48Speaker 3: done for the year. Like it's just it just stinks,
- 21:51Speaker 3: you know, because it's it's gonna you're not gonna be ready.
- 21:53Speaker 4: To replace him. But I thought, I thought Dart did
- 21:56Speaker 4: a lot with his legs.
- 21:57Speaker 3: He extended some plays and then like when he does
- 22:00Speaker 3: have to throw the ball over the middle, like he
- 22:03Speaker 3: does it with confidence and he throws over the middle.
- 22:05Speaker 3: You talked about the third down conversions to extend some drives.
- 22:08Speaker 3: That's a good defense. They're really good at up the
- 22:12Speaker 3: middle on that defense. And he didn't look the least
- 22:16Speaker 3: fit worried about who he was going up against.
- 22:19Speaker 1: You know, I felt like I got a nice preview
- 22:22Speaker 1: of what we were going to see on Sunday Saturday
- 22:24Speaker 1: looking at Old Miss play with Lang Kiffin. I'm looking
- 22:27Speaker 1: at Old Miss take down LSU, and I'm looking at
- 22:30Speaker 1: all of the different things that Old Miss does. And
- 22:32Speaker 1: even though Jackson Dart certainly isn't there, but it's the RPOs,
- 22:35Speaker 1: the rhythm throws, the quarterback run game and everything. You
- 22:39Speaker 1: turn on the Giants game and you see, oh man,
- 22:42Speaker 1: the Giants look like the pro version of Ole Miss
- 22:44Speaker 1: in terms of how Jackson Dart is playing quarterback lead
- 22:47Speaker 1: down in the ins, DJ, if you couldn't call that
- 22:51Speaker 1: out and say, you know what, I think Jackson Dart
- 22:53Speaker 1: is gonna run something down here because it's a shiny
- 22:55Speaker 1: new toy, I'm dumbfounded in terms of that. But it's
- 22:59Speaker 1: also what herb Rex Ryan talking about this. The reason
- 23:03Speaker 1: why you had to make the move is because you
- 23:05Speaker 1: needed this team energized, and because you have a young
- 23:09Speaker 1: guy who's competing, who's toughest nails, even if it's not right,
- 23:13Speaker 1: it changes the way that everyone responds. That defense played
- 23:17Speaker 1: lights out because of the energy that the offense was
- 23:20Speaker 1: given them. And when you look at Jackson Dart's statline,
- 23:23Speaker 1: it's easy to be like, well, he really didn't do anything,
- 23:26Speaker 1: but it's the presence, it's the field, it's the toughness
- 23:29Speaker 1: that he played with, the competitiveness. Look, man, it's unfortunate
- 23:33Speaker 1: that Elik Neighbors is out, but we talked about this
- 23:37Speaker 1: when they were gonna have Jackson Dart, Camp Scataboo and
- 23:40Speaker 1: Elite Neighbors. That's their version of the Triplets. They could
- 23:43Speaker 1: build out everything from that. Let's see what Brian dave
- 23:47Speaker 1: Ball does to continue it on. But man, so far,
- 23:50Speaker 1: so good for Jackson Dart starting for the Giants.
- 23:52Speaker 2: Yeah, it's gonna get harder, and I know, you know, look,
- 23:55Speaker 2: they played New Orleans. There's not a great football team
- 23:58Speaker 2: this coming week. But you start to see a little
- 24:00Speaker 2: bit of how they want to use him, and they're
- 24:01Speaker 2: going to be able to develop game plans and they
- 24:03Speaker 2: don't really have a big time winner on the outside
- 24:05Speaker 2: now that Neighbors has gone, so you're gonna see teams
- 24:08Speaker 2: are going to just try and crowd the line of scrimmage,
- 24:10Speaker 2: take away this run game which he's involved in. So
- 24:13Speaker 2: trust me, it's not going to be smooth ride all
- 24:14Speaker 2: the way through this whole thing. But you could tell
- 24:16Speaker 2: that he's made of the right stuff. He's incredibly tough.
- 24:19Speaker 2: All that stuff was excellent. We get over the Charger
- 24:21Speaker 2: side of things, man. Start First of all, Joe Walt
- 24:24Speaker 2: goes down and you're like, I mean, giem Andy, Christmas
- 24:26Speaker 2: guy Beck. Then it's hurt he didn't play. You already
- 24:29Speaker 2: lost Slater early in the years, so you lost two
- 24:31Speaker 2: Pro Bowl tackles and you're out there with backups, and
- 24:35Speaker 2: and that's a when the defensive line now with the lead,
- 24:38Speaker 2: those guys can really really rush. That's how that team
- 24:41Speaker 2: was built to play that. They just haven't had the
- 24:43Speaker 2: lead to be able to unleash it. So I had
- 24:45Speaker 2: a lot of backups in there. That was a challenge.
- 24:47Speaker 2: But I said it at the beginning of the of
- 24:49Speaker 2: the game, when it was like, Okay, what are the
- 24:50Speaker 2: keys the game? I said, well, if you're the Chargers,
- 24:53Speaker 2: you have to take away the easy button. You can't
- 24:55Speaker 2: make things easy on this quarterback. You've got to be
- 24:57Speaker 2: able to when you need to punt, you punt, you
- 24:59Speaker 2: make him have to the field. Well, they get two turnovers,
- 25:02Speaker 2: they start two possessions inside your five yard line. Yeah,
- 25:05Speaker 2: that's the game. That was the whole game. That's that's
- 25:07Speaker 2: what happened.
- 25:08Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 25:08Speaker 3: Well, I mean Dexter Lawrence's interception incredible play. It's a
- 25:12Speaker 3: great play. But I mean I thought, you know, the
- 25:14Speaker 3: twist and the games that they're running with Abdul and
- 25:16Speaker 3: Cavon uh were really effective, especially against you know, backup
- 25:20Speaker 3: offensive linemen, and then uh, you know, Burnsy has just
- 25:23Speaker 3: been playing at a high level all year. So that's
- 25:25Speaker 3: the four. That's the four that you've got to try
- 25:28Speaker 3: and you know, contain. And they got to Herbie a bunch,
- 25:30Speaker 3: They hit them a bunch, they affected them, They got
- 25:33Speaker 3: the big plays defensively, the interceptions, the whole thing, and so, uh,
- 25:38Speaker 3: the defense, you know, really helped the offense out. They
- 25:41Speaker 3: really played, uh that style of football, and the Giants
- 25:45Speaker 3: did just enough, you know, to keep that lead all
- 25:48Speaker 3: game long. And you thought maybe, I'm sure in the
- 25:50Speaker 3: fourth quarter you thought, Okay, this is gonna be like
- 25:52Speaker 3: Denver here they come. You know, they got in a
- 25:54Speaker 3: position to really go and they just couldn't finish it
- 25:56Speaker 3: against that group.
- 25:58Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 25:58Speaker 2: No, they couldn't finish it. And and you know the
- 26:01Speaker 2: one thing the hope that you'll take out of it
- 26:03Speaker 2: if you're on the charger side of things, is they
- 26:05Speaker 2: got a Marion Hampton cut loose a little bit and
- 26:07Speaker 2: he popped a long run. Your targio, Bucky, He's going
- 26:10Speaker 2: to be a really good player. And I like them
- 26:12Speaker 2: throwing the ball to him too. That's like another theme.
- 26:14Speaker 2: I talked about it earlier. Buck hit on this and
- 26:17Speaker 2: Baldy follow it up. But I don't know, you guys
- 26:19Speaker 2: tell me, am I crazy. I just from a quarterback perspective,
- 26:22Speaker 2: especially when you got an established made guy like you know, Herbert.
- 26:25Speaker 2: We talked about some of these other guys out there
- 26:27Speaker 2: in those situations. Dak Jordan Love, Hey, get my back.
- 26:30Speaker 2: I want to get my back out, Like get him out.
- 26:32Speaker 2: Let me answer some of these blitzes with being able
- 26:35Speaker 2: to get that ball out to the back.
- 26:37Speaker 4: Well. I think is a cheat code iss ultimate cheat
- 26:38Speaker 4: code in the passing game.
- 26:40Speaker 1: If you have a pass catching running back who also
- 26:42Speaker 1: is a legitimate running that you have to respect in
- 26:44Speaker 1: the ground game is the way that you can create
- 26:47Speaker 1: and exploit mismatches Marion Hampton and cast the ball out
- 26:51Speaker 1: of the backfield. It gives you the easy checked on option.
- 26:54Speaker 1: It discourages teams from blessing you all the time if
- 26:56Speaker 1: that guy can win is one on one battles. We
- 27:00Speaker 1: see more guys touch the ball out of the backfield
- 27:02Speaker 1: because they are realizing that's the safety valve in the outlet.
- 27:05Speaker 1: And for these young quarterbacks that are kind of moving
- 27:09Speaker 1: into the next phase, because Justin Herbert is moving into
- 27:11Speaker 1: the next phase of a going from not even game
- 27:15Speaker 1: manager to playmaker, but the guy that.
- 27:16Speaker 4: Can be the ultimate distributor. That is what you want
- 27:19Speaker 4: to use.
- 27:19Speaker 1: Use the running back so you can now create more
- 27:21Speaker 1: opportunities for everybody else. It's only sensible to use a
- 27:25Speaker 1: guy well, I mean, he's.
- 27:28Speaker 3: Just a complete back, I mean every phase of the
- 27:30Speaker 3: game right now, and he just keeps getting better week
- 27:33Speaker 3: by week.
- 27:33Speaker 4: And so that was the real breakout game. Although he
- 27:36Speaker 4: played well before.
- 27:37Speaker 3: But obviously with you know Nage going down like he's
- 27:39Speaker 3: going to have to, you know, really probably increase his workload.
- 27:43Speaker 3: And he was up to the task. But man, see
- 27:46Speaker 3: in the open field, he is a hard guy to tackle.
- 27:50Speaker 3: So his balance, so all the balance you know at
- 27:52Speaker 3: North Carolina, but that balance in the NFL is what
- 27:56Speaker 3: you're looking for, that contact balance, and he was bouncing
- 27:58Speaker 3: off a lot of defenders.
- 28:00Speaker 2: Yeah, we'll see if they can see how long Joe
- 28:01Speaker 2: al it's going to be out. First of all, that
- 28:03Speaker 2: was that was a big injury. And lad McConkie had
- 28:05Speaker 2: a couple of uncharacteristic drops in this game too, So
- 28:07Speaker 2: I don't thank you.
- 28:08Speaker 4: They've got to get that.
- 28:09Speaker 2: Cleaned up, all right, Rams Indie, Well they were there.
- 28:13Speaker 2: What did you take away?
- 28:16Speaker 4: Who should I start?
- 28:17Speaker 3: Pooka's unreal, Like you know, a couple of weeks ago,
- 28:19Speaker 3: you know, we were talking about you know, Cincinnati and
- 28:24Speaker 3: their receivers, and rightfully so, but Pooka, you know, third down,
- 28:28Speaker 3: the Stafford's looking for Pooka, like when they have what
- 28:32Speaker 3: they have in DeVante and Puka. Right now, they got
- 28:34Speaker 3: two guys they can win on any route against any coverage,
- 28:36Speaker 3: whatever you want to do.
- 28:38Speaker 4: But his hands are so fast, like.
- 28:40Speaker 3: He caught a go route against Zavian Howard and you
- 28:43Speaker 3: know late hands, but I mean his hands are in
- 28:47Speaker 3: eyes are so fast to the ball and when his
- 28:50Speaker 3: hands touched the ball, like he's not dropping, he's not
- 28:52Speaker 3: getting knocked out of his hands.
- 28:54Speaker 4: They were all over a couple of times. So that
- 28:57Speaker 4: that was that part.
- 28:58Speaker 3: But you know, to see Stafford down to only thirteen
- 29:00Speaker 3: in the fourth quarter, late in the fourth quarter, you know,
- 29:03Speaker 3: and they're you know, they make the fourth down play
- 29:05Speaker 3: fourth and two and he goes to Pooka to score
- 29:07Speaker 3: to tie it, and then you know, I mean it
- 29:10Speaker 3: was kind of funny last week during the week too
- 29:12Speaker 3: to out well, they're asking him like, you know, how
- 29:14Speaker 3: do you get him involved, and like Sean McVay is like, well,
- 29:18Speaker 3: I got I got the number one receiver in the NFL,
- 29:20Speaker 3: and I've got a Hall of Fame player over here.
- 29:22Speaker 3: Like I don't think we're too worried, but enough, you know,
- 29:27Speaker 3: there it is two minutes to go in the game
- 29:28Speaker 3: and there's two two out well going eighty eight yards
- 29:30Speaker 3: one play won.
- 29:32Speaker 4: The game for him. So that was that.
- 29:33Speaker 3: But uh, Daniel Jones, I know he threw a couple interceptions,
- 29:38Speaker 3: but he still was and they shut down Jonathan Taylor,
- 29:41Speaker 3: but they still are a feisty football team. And I
- 29:44Speaker 3: talked to lou M Morrill and Romo before the game
- 29:47Speaker 3: and he was like, we're just We're just a work
- 29:49Speaker 3: in progress.
- 29:50Speaker 4: Body, We're not there. Uh. The guy that was.
- 29:52Speaker 3: Here before had a you know, a different way of
- 29:54Speaker 3: doing things, and guys were undisciplined. We're just trying to
- 29:57Speaker 3: get our run fits and and you know, we're trying
- 29:59Speaker 3: to get things right.
- 30:00Speaker 4: So I think they're going to get better, you know.
- 30:04Speaker 3: So, But I thought Stafford and Puka, you know, with
- 30:07Speaker 3: a story of this game and how they just kept
- 30:08Speaker 3: plays alive all game long.
- 30:11Speaker 1: You know, Valdy is funny you talked about lou and
- 30:13Speaker 1: Rouma and the Colts. I'm probably even bigger, a bigger
- 30:17Speaker 1: believe in the Coats after watching that game, because they
- 30:20Speaker 1: had their way. They look three quarters, they had the
- 30:23Speaker 1: game on their terms. In the fourth quarter, they had
- 30:25Speaker 1: it where they wanted it and they weren't playing an
- 30:27Speaker 1: A plus game.
- 30:28Speaker 4: But it just shows you the depth of the talent.
- 30:30Speaker 1: It also shows you how much they've improved with Daniel
- 30:34Speaker 1: Jones at quarterback.
- 30:36Speaker 4: His decision making ability, his maturity, his confidence.
- 30:39Speaker 1: All of that allows Shane Stikeen to use other pages
- 30:43Speaker 1: of the playbook that he couldn't use if he had
- 30:45Speaker 1: Anthony richardson there. And because of that, I have confidence
- 30:49Speaker 1: that this team is going to continue to evolve over
- 30:52Speaker 1: the course of the season, and as that race is
- 30:55Speaker 1: still shaping up to be, because I think the Texans
- 30:57Speaker 1: will get back in it, but the Jags, the Colts,
- 31:00Speaker 1: and the Texans, it's gonna come down to quarterback play.
- 31:03Speaker 1: And right now, Daniel Jones is playing better than all
- 31:06Speaker 1: of those other guys. With the two interceptions, well here's
- 31:09Speaker 1: the ghast of chance.
- 31:11Speaker 3: I mean, they had the bone head plays by ad Mitchell.
- 31:13Speaker 3: I mean he's like giant. The Colts have complete control
- 31:18Speaker 3: of the game, and Adie Mitchell's walking to the end
- 31:21Speaker 3: zone and like whether he was trying, I don't know
- 31:23Speaker 3: what he was doing. If the celebration was beginning, it
- 31:26Speaker 3: made no sense, you know. And then they get the
- 31:29Speaker 3: long touchdown run by Jonathan Taylor, and he was just
- 31:32Speaker 3: a question of when it was going to happen because
- 31:34Speaker 3: he'd gotten in every game. And he breaks a long
- 31:36Speaker 3: touchdown run and it gets called back because of a
- 31:39Speaker 3: dumb penalty outside They had nothing to do with the play,
- 31:42Speaker 3: and so he cost him two touchdowns and you just go, Okay,
- 31:45Speaker 3: he wouldn't even be on the field. If Pierce is playing,
- 31:47Speaker 3: he gets his chance, and I mean it's just two
- 31:51Speaker 3: bone headed plays on his part, and nobody wants to
- 31:53Speaker 3: say one player lost the game, like because there's always
- 31:56Speaker 3: other plays to be made. But I just thought, like
- 31:59Speaker 3: that's going to be That's that was hard to overcome.
- 32:02Speaker 2: Yeah, that was I feel like every year, I mean,
- 32:04Speaker 2: we the Deshaun Jackson play.
- 32:06Speaker 4: We showed it.
- 32:07Speaker 2: We show it every year. It happens, every happens every year.
- 32:11Speaker 2: So I guess you just got to continually reinforce it
- 32:14Speaker 2: with these guys, man, just continue to show it and
- 32:16Speaker 2: reinforce it. We do it with everything else. I mean,
- 32:19Speaker 2: I know, talking to coaches before this last game game,
- 32:22Speaker 2: I mean, I mean, darn near every team we had
- 32:24Speaker 2: a panic meeting about block kicks because we've seen so
- 32:27Speaker 2: many block kicks, Like we better emphasize this. This is
- 32:30Speaker 2: an issue all around the league. But that's something that
- 32:33Speaker 2: this continues to happen on Pooka. All the fourteen targets,
- 32:36Speaker 2: thirteen for a Bucks, seventy and a touchdown. One of
- 32:40Speaker 2: the numbers that Gavin and drew through in the in
- 32:42Speaker 2: the chat here his yards per reception run. He's number
- 32:44Speaker 2: one in the NFL four point one nine. Right behind
- 32:47Speaker 2: him is Aamara Saint Brown's a flower. So the efficiencies there.
- 32:51Speaker 2: I went through and watched it all, and I was
- 32:53Speaker 2: talking a buck about it before we started, like it's
- 32:56Speaker 2: just those little five five yard incuts, like we called
- 32:59Speaker 2: them box outs where I was, I know, people use
- 33:01Speaker 2: different it's like the smash route. Smash concept was going
- 33:04Speaker 2: over it with me, but I mean, it's just kind
- 33:06Speaker 2: of a big It's a kind of a big receiver
- 33:08Speaker 2: route and just kind of keeps he keeps guys on
- 33:10Speaker 2: his back. They can't get around him. You can tell
- 33:12Speaker 2: Pooka's got a basketball feeling background when you're watching him,
- 33:16Speaker 2: Like even watching him go vertical, I'm like, guy, doesn't
- 33:18Speaker 2: look like he's running like that. There's not like quick
- 33:21Speaker 2: turnover with his feet. It's kind of a strong, powerful stride,
- 33:25Speaker 2: and then he ends up kind of sneakily getting by people.
- 33:27Speaker 2: I hate that sneaky speed stuff. But he is everything
- 33:31Speaker 2: about him is kind of unique. I don't know who
- 33:33Speaker 2: to compare him to. How he moves around, you.
- 33:35Speaker 4: Know, I talk to him you know, I'm kind of
- 33:38Speaker 4: walking the field before the game. I see him in
- 33:40Speaker 4: the end zone.
- 33:40Speaker 3: So I've never met him before, you know, so I
- 33:42Speaker 3: don't do a lot of ram games, so I just
- 33:45Speaker 3: you know, you like, we start talking and I'm like, okay,
- 33:47Speaker 3: I just want to sort of introduce myself whatever. But
- 33:50Speaker 3: he's like a baldy, like, well, how do you decide?
- 33:53Speaker 3: You know, like who are you going to break down?
- 33:54Speaker 3: Like we watch all you like the guys. He's got
- 33:57Speaker 3: to smile his face. Nicest guy in the world, but
- 34:00Speaker 3: he's a he's a he's a devastating blocker, like he's
- 34:04Speaker 3: a stone blooded killer, but it's the nicest Like he's friendly,
- 34:08Speaker 3: he's outgoing, like you can't get the smile office. But
- 34:11Speaker 3: he's just having the best time out there right now.
- 34:13Speaker 3: And so yeah, but I mean the efficiency. He's got
- 34:16Speaker 3: five hundred and three receiving yards in the month of September,
- 34:19Speaker 3: like Calvin Johnson's record might be, you know, in danger
- 34:22Speaker 3: right now.
- 34:23Speaker 2: The way he's going, Well, you can't you can't dedicate
- 34:26Speaker 2: coverage solely to him because you got to worry about
- 34:27Speaker 2: the Hall of Famer on the other side of the field.
- 34:30Speaker 2: So you know, it's a it's a nice, nice setup
- 34:32Speaker 2: they have. They're in a big win for the Rams
- 34:34Speaker 2: in that one buck your game, Jacksonville, San Francisco, you
- 34:38Speaker 2: start wherever you want. You want to start with the
- 34:39Speaker 2: coaches fighting after the game, you want to start with what.
- 34:41Speaker 4: We saw on the game.
- 34:42Speaker 2: Whatever you want, Let's talk about this because I feel
- 34:45Speaker 2: like Roberts Hollard broke a bit of a code when.
- 34:47Speaker 4: He aired out this stuff about the science telling one.
- 34:51Speaker 1: What he did is he used inflammatory language to talk
- 34:54Speaker 1: about things that every coach does on a daily.
- 34:58Speaker 4: Basis, a weekly basis when it comes to running an offense.
- 35:01Speaker 1: Basically, he used sign stealing to discuss the advantages of
- 35:06Speaker 1: shifts motions to uncover what the defense is doing. And
- 35:11Speaker 1: because he made it like it was this intricate covert operation,
- 35:15Speaker 1: it won. It was intentional because it created a bit
- 35:18Speaker 1: of a distraction for Jacksonville.
- 35:20Speaker 4: But we're talking about things that we've been doing in
- 35:22Speaker 4: football forever.
- 35:23Speaker 1: Literally, I line up in one formation, I shift, I motion,
- 35:27Speaker 1: I see the defensive reaction. I have two plays that
- 35:30Speaker 1: I can call after seeing the reaction. I make a
- 35:33Speaker 1: kill kill kill call to get into an optimal call.
- 35:37Speaker 1: Now he layered the conversation because they talk about TV
- 35:41Speaker 1: copy and some of the things that you can glean
- 35:43Speaker 1: from watching TV, like some of the hand signals that
- 35:46Speaker 1: you may use on defense to make sure you echo
- 35:49Speaker 1: and confirm the call.
- 35:51Speaker 4: But hey man, that's that's that's.
- 35:53Speaker 1: Stuff that's not really illegal one and it's not really
- 35:58Speaker 1: anything that people can do because it can't have in
- 36:00Speaker 1: real time part of normal game planning, Bucky, and so
- 36:04Speaker 1: it created this thing not only for Liam, but it
- 36:08Speaker 1: kind of is almost like Shanahan taking a shot at
- 36:10Speaker 1: the McVeigh guys, and it's just a weird dynamic. But
- 36:14Speaker 1: I will say it added a little spice to the
- 36:17Speaker 1: game because I knew the postgame reaction. I knew that
- 36:20Speaker 1: was going to happen in pregame because they'd always said,
- 36:22Speaker 1: hey man, if we win, there's gonna be some words uttered.
- 36:25Speaker 1: And I'll give Liam in those guys credit. As soon
- 36:29Speaker 1: as the one was there, he went right over there
- 36:31Speaker 1: and said some stuff. But it just takes away from
- 36:35Speaker 1: what I think is one of the best jobs I've
- 36:37Speaker 1: seen in terms of coaching. Lim Coin's done a really
- 36:40Speaker 1: good job of getting these guys to connect. It's funny
- 36:43Speaker 1: you were talking about the golfers and the European guys
- 36:45Speaker 1: and Rogerson. The biggest different with the Jags has little
- 36:49Speaker 1: do with the X and o's and more about the
- 36:51Speaker 1: high demands of accountability and the connectivity amongst the team
- 36:54Speaker 1: players and coaches. And that's really what makes good ball.
- 36:58Speaker 1: The best teams are the most connected, and the Jags
- 37:01Speaker 1: are winning because they're really connected.
- 37:03Speaker 2: Yeah, it's interesting book. First of all, what a missed opportunity.
- 37:06Speaker 2: If I was Liam Cohen, I would have tried to
- 37:08Speaker 2: learn the sign language to keep my name out of
- 37:10Speaker 2: your mouth and I would assign it to him after
- 37:12Speaker 2: the game. That was a missed opportunity. Uh, yeah, exactly.
- 37:16Speaker 2: But Baldy, I'm gonna I'm gonna just get this to
- 37:20Speaker 2: you quick because this is the point I was going
- 37:22Speaker 2: to make him. Buck already got me there. Uh, had
- 37:24Speaker 2: a really good game. And there's a bunch of explosive runs.
- 37:26Speaker 2: And when you go back through and watch those explosive runs,
- 37:29Speaker 2: you know what you see And one of them you
- 37:30Speaker 2: see Hunter blocking his butt off Travis Hunter. On another
- 37:33Speaker 2: one you see BTJ blocking his butt off Strange a
- 37:36Speaker 2: tight end. Is it had a great he is a
- 37:40Speaker 2: he is a good player.
- 37:41Speaker 4: Man.
- 37:41Speaker 2: He is physical, he is tough. But when I watch
- 37:44Speaker 2: teams with wide receivers and tight ends efforting in the
- 37:47Speaker 2: in the run game like this, that tells me that
- 37:49Speaker 2: you're starting to build a pretty good culture.
- 37:51Speaker 4: I agree, I agreed. I kind of felt it.
- 37:54Speaker 3: I went I went to Jacksonville for OKAS this year
- 37:58Speaker 3: and sat up there, you know, with the GM with Baseli,
- 38:01Speaker 3: and we watched practice and we went down and talked
- 38:04Speaker 3: to Liam and Campanilla and the and the staff after
- 38:07Speaker 3: the practice. I kind of felt like that's what the
- 38:13Speaker 3: major emphasis was this whole off season and training camp
- 38:19Speaker 3: was we're building a team, and we're going to play
- 38:21Speaker 3: as a team.
- 38:22Speaker 4: We're going to compete as one, and this is what
- 38:23Speaker 4: we need you to do.
- 38:25Speaker 3: And the players, you know, either they buy in or
- 38:29Speaker 3: they kind of like, you know, have to listen to it.
- 38:31Speaker 3: But they bought into it. And honestly, they should have
- 38:33Speaker 3: beaten Cincinnati.
- 38:34Speaker 4: They didn't drop so.
- 38:35Speaker 3: Many passes in that game, and they could easily be
- 38:37Speaker 3: undefeated right now. So you know, there's nothing like people say, well,
- 38:41Speaker 3: everybody won't get off to a fast start, and they do,
- 38:43Speaker 3: but the fast start to a team that's turning things
- 38:46Speaker 3: around with a new coach, a new GM you know, Gladstone,
- 38:49Speaker 3: a new way of doing things. That early success is
- 38:53Speaker 3: paramount to keep that going, and that's where that's where
- 38:57Speaker 3: the confidence comes from. Is all right, this is what
- 39:00Speaker 3: they're preaching, this is what we're doing, and now we're
- 39:03Speaker 3: getting results early. All right, you know we got to
- 39:07Speaker 3: you know, not that it's just September, but we're going
- 39:10Speaker 3: to get a very competitive AFC South this year.
- 39:13Speaker 2: I'm looking forward to it. Man, It's a big win
- 39:15Speaker 2: for them San Francisco. Man, they've had a bunch of
- 39:18Speaker 2: different injuries. McCaffrey played well and some nice things in
- 39:20Speaker 2: that game. I know, you got a quarterback. He's just
- 39:23Speaker 2: trying to play through its turf till right, is what.
- 39:26Speaker 1: Yeah, it's the worst performance I've seen from Purty. And
- 39:30Speaker 1: I know because he's not off, because the things that
- 39:32Speaker 1: he did in that game are not typical of him.
- 39:36Speaker 1: Rush throws, eric passes, those things. He has always been
- 39:40Speaker 1: terrific and through them with touch, timing and anticipation, and
- 39:43Speaker 1: he was just a little off. And when you're playing
- 39:45Speaker 1: a team that plays so much zone like the Jags,
- 39:48Speaker 1: tips overthrows, interceptions and then the final part of the Niners.
- 39:55Speaker 1: The Niners are still a terrific team and they still
- 39:57Speaker 1: imposed it will they make you play to the level
- 40:00Speaker 1: when it comes to bully ball. The one thing that
- 40:02Speaker 1: I would say about them, they could not run the
- 40:05Speaker 1: football the way that they normally have been able to
- 40:07Speaker 1: run it. Christian McCaffrey could not get loose. Some of
- 40:10Speaker 1: that is the Jags, but some of that is also
- 40:12Speaker 1: that offensive line being able to dominate at the point
- 40:15Speaker 1: of attack. They're not the same version that we've seen
- 40:19Speaker 1: in the past from the Niners.
- 40:22Speaker 2: Yeah, McCaffrey did his stuff in the past game, hum
- 40:24Speaker 2: about six for ninety two in a touch and they
- 40:27Speaker 2: can't run it. And they can't they couldn't run it
- 40:29Speaker 2: as much. All right, let's let's get to this last game.
- 40:35Speaker 2: We're going to have time to hit one more here
- 40:36Speaker 2: with Baldy. And that was a game you mentioned at
- 40:38Speaker 2: the top Baldy Minnesota in Pittsburgh.
- 40:41Speaker 4: Yeah, well, you know, Pittsburgh hadn't been able to run
- 40:44Speaker 4: the ball at all.
- 40:45Speaker 3: Yeah, the first three weeks this season, and they got
- 40:47Speaker 3: a running game with kind of Gamewell says his first start,
- 40:51Speaker 3: and I remember our buddy Andy Widel when he signed him.
- 40:54Speaker 4: He signed him.
- 40:55Speaker 3: Mostly because in the Super Bowl game, Gamewell had two
- 40:58Speaker 3: special team tackles. He thought special teams are going to
- 41:01Speaker 3: be important, and he made the free agent signing almost
- 41:04Speaker 3: But he also was always an excellent short yard and
- 41:07Speaker 3: goal line back. Even in the Super Bowl that they
- 41:09Speaker 3: lost uh to Kansas to Kansas City.
- 41:12Speaker 4: He was really effective that year.
- 41:15Speaker 3: And that was one of the guys that Widel drafted
- 41:17Speaker 3: out of Memphis, and he always had a good role
- 41:19Speaker 3: in Philadelphia. But yesterday they went to Spencer Anderson came
- 41:23Speaker 3: in as a third tackle and they used that formation
- 41:26Speaker 3: a lot. So you got Spencer Anderson, you got Darnell Washington,
- 41:29Speaker 3: and they just with Beach, you know, and they fed
- 41:33Speaker 3: game well and they got a running gate yesterday.
- 41:36Speaker 4: For the first I thought that was that, and then
- 41:39Speaker 4: the defensive line showed up. You know.
- 41:40Speaker 3: It was her Big, it was TJ it was Hayward,
- 41:44Speaker 3: it was Keanu Benton. Like they really got after Carson
- 41:47Speaker 3: Wentz and forced him into some mistakes. And I thought
- 41:50Speaker 3: those two things were enough to win that game against
- 41:53Speaker 3: the Minnesota team that's talented, But they forced the mistakes
- 41:57Speaker 3: by Carson Wentz one of them. You know, obviously the
- 41:59Speaker 3: interception by TJ just you know, obviously just in a
- 42:02Speaker 3: spy technique right there, just coming into the middle of
- 42:05Speaker 3: the field that set up you know, the go ahead touchdown.
- 42:08Speaker 4: Buck.
- 42:09Speaker 2: What do you see on that one? This one, this
- 42:11Speaker 2: is the one game of the ones we've talked about.
- 42:13Speaker 2: I did not get a chance to go to the tape,
- 42:15Speaker 2: so I saw on TV.
- 42:17Speaker 4: By d Yeah. I think that's a little slant. He
- 42:21Speaker 4: ran right through the defense. I think that's that's the
- 42:24Speaker 4: main thing.
- 42:24Speaker 1: I think it is the explosiveness of DK Metcalf being
- 42:28Speaker 1: able to hit him on the slant. And I will
- 42:30Speaker 1: say this going back to watching Aaron Rodgers and DK
- 42:33Speaker 1: Metcalf work prior to a preseason game down in Jacksonville,
- 42:37Speaker 1: and I tell you they worked on the route over
- 42:40Speaker 1: and over and over again. And even though it's a
- 42:42Speaker 1: day one instar route to run a little slant, it
- 42:45Speaker 1: is the timing and the execution. And the one thing
- 42:47Speaker 1: about Aaron Rodgers went protected, particularly the short game. The
- 42:51Speaker 1: ball comes out on time and on target, and he
- 42:53Speaker 1: hit DK Metcalf. It was almost like a four by
- 42:56Speaker 1: one relay platon exchange. He hit it and you said,
- 43:00Speaker 1: all this speed and the explosiveness in those things, and
- 43:03Speaker 1: is the offense being one that is smash mouth with
- 43:07Speaker 1: big play potential and then the defense being a shut
- 43:10Speaker 1: him down defense. And you're beginning to see this defense
- 43:13Speaker 1: kind of work together to get to that point. It's
- 43:17Speaker 1: not perfect, but the fact that they're three and one
- 43:19Speaker 1: while they're figuring it out bose well for them as
- 43:22Speaker 1: they really start to try and play their best football
- 43:24Speaker 1: down the stretch.
- 43:26Speaker 2: I went back through and pulled Mike Kenneth Gainwell notes
- 43:28Speaker 2: while you guys were talking, because I was curious to
- 43:30Speaker 2: go back to that draft. So he was five eight three,
- 43:33Speaker 2: two hundred and one pounds, ran four to four to four.
- 43:37Speaker 2: He was my seventy eighth player in that draft. He
- 43:39Speaker 2: opted out of twenty twenty. They used him in the
- 43:42Speaker 2: backfield and in the slot, so they've kind of done
- 43:44Speaker 2: that with a lot of those Memphis backs. Lateral quicks,
- 43:46Speaker 2: he can run through contact, he'll spend, he's got real
- 43:50Speaker 2: good balance, He's elusive at fifty one catches. They use
- 43:53Speaker 2: him on a ton of angle routes. Got him out
- 43:54Speaker 2: in the route, let him get out there and do
- 43:56Speaker 2: that stuff. So he was somebody that had a pretty
- 43:59Speaker 2: fun skills that coming back out of college, someone you
- 44:01Speaker 2: could use as a route runner as well as somebody
- 44:03Speaker 2: who could carry the ball. And sometimes are these guys.
- 44:06Speaker 2: I mean, look the guy, he's backing up the best
- 44:07Speaker 2: running back in football. So he got a chance to
- 44:11Speaker 2: get an opportunity in Baldy. That's all these guys. Man,
- 44:14Speaker 2: you get an opportunity to be the lead dog. It's
- 44:16Speaker 2: up to you to make the most of it. Sounds
- 44:17Speaker 2: like he sure did well.
- 44:18Speaker 3: They came in, They came in with one rushing touchdown
- 44:21Speaker 3: the first three weeks.
- 44:21Speaker 4: He got two yesterday scored from the one scored from
- 44:24Speaker 4: the four.
- 44:25Speaker 3: But he was always a good even before the toush
- 44:27Speaker 3: push really took over in Philly, like short yards and
- 44:31Speaker 3: goal and he was always good at just getting to
- 44:33Speaker 3: the crack and just you know and hitting and hint
- 44:35Speaker 3: both those yesterday for touchdown runs.
- 44:38Speaker 4: The other part here DJ is, you know.
- 44:40Speaker 3: They started the year and they got pushed all over
- 44:42Speaker 3: around by the Jets, and they ran the ball really
- 44:45Speaker 3: good against him, And there was louder Milk was out
- 44:47Speaker 3: there and Lowery was, well, they're going to the rookies now,
- 44:49Speaker 3: you know.
- 44:49Speaker 4: The Armin's out there.
- 44:51Speaker 3: Why they Black's out there, Jack Sawyer, Like they're playing
- 44:54Speaker 3: their rookies right now, and they're on the field and
- 44:56Speaker 3: they're all making you know, a variety of impacts now,
- 44:58Speaker 3: Bettan in the second year, it was really good yesterday,
- 45:01Speaker 3: it had kind of a slow start, but you're seeing
- 45:03Speaker 3: that rebuilt defensive line kind of rives up now and
- 45:07Speaker 3: we're going to see more, I think from those players.
- 45:10Speaker 2: How about the Pittsburgh Steelers Aaron Rodgers three and one,
- 45:13Speaker 2: first place right now in that division with Baltimore one
- 45:17Speaker 2: and three, so they've got some ground to make up
- 45:19Speaker 2: here after a little tough start. Hey, Baldy Monday's always
- 45:22Speaker 2: enjoy it, man, you are the best. We see it.
- 45:24Speaker 2: We'll see it back here next week. Brother, ought to
- 45:26Speaker 2: talk to you, guys.
- 45:27Speaker 4: Take care of it.
- 45:29Speaker 2: There he goes Baldy is he is the best. It's
- 45:32Speaker 2: always a treat to do these episodes with him. On Mondays,
- 45:36Speaker 2: Buck you referenced it a little bit earlier. We're talking
- 45:38Speaker 2: off the air about my ryder Cup experience. Getting a
- 45:41Speaker 2: chance to go out there to Beth Page Black. I've
- 45:43Speaker 2: never been anything like that, so it was fun to
- 45:45Speaker 2: go out there. And check that out and golf individual sport.
- 45:48Speaker 2: But obviously this is a team event, and in Europe,
- 45:52Speaker 2: even though the US team has more quote unquote talent
- 45:55Speaker 2: or higher ranked players, a collection of higher rank players.
- 45:58Speaker 2: The team portion of the event the first two days
- 46:00Speaker 2: Europe smashes smashes America. So I'm sitting there watching this
- 46:04Speaker 2: and I'm kind of like putting my scouting hat on
- 46:06Speaker 2: and like I don't know enough about golf to be
- 46:07Speaker 2: able to tell who's you know, why this is happening.
- 46:10Speaker 2: But it was interesting because I sent you a picture
- 46:13Speaker 2: of like watching the Europeans go around the course. The
- 46:16Speaker 2: two golfers competing for Europe in the doubles matches, in
- 46:19Speaker 2: the pair matches, they're always walking together, they're talking to together.
- 46:22Speaker 2: There is a connectivity to them, whereas the Americans they're
- 46:25Speaker 2: all with their individual caddies, you know, as they're two
- 46:28Speaker 2: golfers with their own caddies, like the individual corporations kind
- 46:31Speaker 2: of you know, moving their way around the course. And
- 46:33Speaker 2: I'm like, yeah, that's this is not about the ability
- 46:35Speaker 2: level to skill level. This is about connectivity. And that's
- 46:38Speaker 2: something that in any team sport man, you got to
- 46:41Speaker 2: have it. And that was something that Europe definitely had
- 46:43Speaker 2: in spades.
- 46:45Speaker 1: You know, DJ is funny, right, So you hear team
- 46:47Speaker 1: builders talk all the time. We're trying to build the
- 46:50Speaker 1: best team, not collect talent, and we can never underestimate
- 46:54Speaker 1: that part of it.
- 46:55Speaker 4: Morehen it comes to team sports, it is not about
- 46:58Speaker 4: having a all the A level players.
- 47:00Speaker 1: Is about having people that compliment one another, but more importantly,
- 47:04Speaker 1: people that are connected. Can you build the chemistry within
- 47:07Speaker 1: the group so they feel like they're planning for something
- 47:09Speaker 1: beyond their own individual agendas. And looking at the Riders
- 47:13Speaker 1: Cup because DJ, it was a blowout very very early
- 47:16Speaker 1: and everyone.
- 47:17Speaker 4: Was wondering like, oh my gosh, what's going on.
- 47:19Speaker 1: So when you send that picture over and I look,
- 47:21Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, that's what it is, Like, I'm really
- 47:24Speaker 1: connected to this person I buddy. John Gordon has talked
- 47:28Speaker 1: about the teams that give the most high fives and
- 47:30Speaker 1: fist bumps or whatever, like, they tend to win at
- 47:33Speaker 1: a far superior rate than the counterparts because you have
- 47:37Speaker 1: to have we're creatures, we have to have that human
- 47:40Speaker 1: connection to be able to sacrifice for one another.
- 47:43Speaker 4: It's one of those things those X factors in team.
- 47:46Speaker 1: Building that we don't talk about, but it's one of
- 47:49Speaker 1: the things that keeps those great teams together is the
- 47:51Speaker 1: glue is to chemistry.
- 47:54Speaker 2: It's glue to everything, man, no question, man. We want
- 47:59Speaker 2: to remind every everybody we've got a new Forties and
- 48:01Speaker 2: Free Agent that's going to post tomorrow, So Bucky and
- 48:04Speaker 2: I will be back with Rhett on Wednesday. We'll have
- 48:06Speaker 2: the Rookie recap and the Rookie Draft on Wednesday's show,
- 48:10Speaker 2: so we'll have plenty more coming your way this week.
- 48:14Speaker 2: But excited to get to make KiB I might like
- 48:16Speaker 2: make a little fun of Rosena, all be nice about it,
- 48:18Speaker 2: but I'll make a little fun of him on Forties
- 48:21Speaker 2: and Free Agents, So be on the lookout for that.
- 48:23Speaker 4: Buck.
- 48:24Speaker 2: Always fun man, and love these mondays. I think we've
- 48:27Speaker 2: we've really got onto something having Baldy on here, and
- 48:30Speaker 2: it's always a fun chat man.
- 48:31Speaker 4: No, there's always one DJ.
- 48:33Speaker 1: The one thing I love about Baldy is when we're
- 48:35Speaker 1: able to collectively have that tape watching the experience and
- 48:39Speaker 1: to be able to chat about it. It takes me
- 48:40Speaker 1: all the way back to the scouting days when you
- 48:42Speaker 1: used to sit in the room and not have those meetings,
- 48:44Speaker 1: But it's when we're just casually looking at tape and
- 48:47Speaker 1: going through things.
- 48:48Speaker 4: That's what this Monday reminds me of, reminds me of
- 48:50Speaker 4: going back in the day.
- 48:51Speaker 2: Yeah, it is like getting in the way back machine there.
- 48:54Speaker 2: All right, that's going to do it for us. Hope
- 48:56Speaker 2: you guys enjoyed it as much as we did, and
- 48:57Speaker 2: we will see it tomorrow with a Forties and Free
- 48:59Speaker 2: Agents episode, followed by a lot more Moved to six
- 49:02Speaker 2: coming your way the rest of the week. Thanks m
