And we have to call him Mr. now since we just found out what he does for real life before in the pre-show. Just kidding. But a lot of big news from week six. so we'll we'll start off with well, first we'll start off with Jalen Warren got under a hundred yard total yards. So I won that debate with against Aaron. And also to prove that Jeremiah Love is a bust, he got zero yards rushing this past weekend. I I was waiting for the reaction from Dom. I mean, he he was he wasn't he was inactive, but the best ability is availability. And my my last thing for my notes before we go on to you is fucking Caleb Wilson Caleb Wilson for the Bulls is awesome. But even greater is Caleb Williams, who went twenty six for twenty six while in the pocket with no pressure. So I mean he was he was he was a better golf this past weekend. against the Atlanta Falcons who the Bears Aaron: Played better than Goth. But we'll we'll we'll get to that later on. just real quick, the bye weeks, the bye week teams this week is the Buffalo Bills, Los Angeles Chargers. We don't have to see that shit show this week. And then w the another shit show is the Washington Commanders with Fucking on fourth and two, Jane Daniels is throwing the ball away. But there's a lot of news from week week six, so let's get right to it. We'll start off with Aaron. Aaron, do you got any week six notes? Aaron: that Jalen Hurts thing is crazy. All of it. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. Yeah. So we'll we'll we'll we'll spend a little bit of time talking about this. Jalen Hurts. So for people that don't know, he's out for the year. It could be career ending. this is this kind of the same blood clot that Chris Bosch got, Wemby got in basketball. Wemby was able to come back. Bosch came back, but he wasn't the same. and then I know Flint, you want to talk about this too. Like they they held him awake for like thirty-six hours, I think because they didn't know where the blood clot was, so they had to find out. And I think at the end of the day they found out that it's in his lungs and everything. So FlintTown: Yeah. It actually broke off and went in as long. DadBodSportsCards: Did it. Yeah. So it's Aaron: The DadBodSportsCards: a very scary situation. Like, I mean, I like Jalen Hurts. Like what he what the shit that he the a adversity that he had to go through at Alabama and everything. and I I've said it before on the podcast. He's like never respected as a Super Bowl winning quarterback. And he actually played well in the two Super Bowls that he went to and everything. but you know. So I've seen memes of saying like the Eagles, this is how they were trying to get rid of them because, you know, you know, because Siriani wants to get rid of them. So instead of getting rid of Siriani, this is a way, but but like no joke, no joking at like at all. But like it's a very serious situation. And I mean, I know he's never gonna hear anything from this. Only Detroit media follows us. but but but FlintTown: Yeah. You got any week six notes? Dom: just a couple things. you touched on the Bears game with Caleb. one thing that was brought to my attention that we've shared on the on the last pod was Caleb now leads the league in completion percentage, which DadBodSportsCards: He does. Dom: is a little crazy considering, you know, that was the big knock on him last year. So hopefully he can maintain that spot or at least be in the top five. I think that'd be incredible. he'll go far DadBodSportsCards: Mm-hmm. Dom: the Bears will go far as long as he's completing a lot of passes. So that's inc very encouraging for us both. Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: Real quick, real quick. So last season he was last in the NFL out of a quarterback's in Kobecia percentage. Now he's from from worst to first this season. Yep. Dom: There you go. and the only other thing I have is the Chargers are the most disappointing team in in the NFL this season, I think. But I'm starting to think the next one is Dallas. Like that DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. Aaron: Yeah. Dom: whole thing is a train wreck and it's getting worse DadBodSportsCards: It is. Dom: week after week. I even got a text during it that the p that the live stream was very boring. And that's because Dallas was awful. And then Green Bay fucking sucks. You know, and it's like whatever. And like there's nothing really to talk about except for how shitty both teams were. And then to make fun of Green FlintTown: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: Bay. And then we had a couple we had a couple of Green Bay well, there was one Green Bay fan in there. and sh you know, like you could tell she she licks the the cheese gravy train over there from the media. FlintTown: But if it's his decision if he puts that work in to be great. And not a lot of quarterbacks can. But he is looking good. And I mean, good for him. You know what I mean? Like, I know you guys are Bears fans and you've went through a lot of shit just like lions fans at least you guys have a super bowl DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. FlintTown: but that's one thing about the Caleb thing that I want to pay giving back on you guys but with the Lions there's Brian Branch is back which is good that that defense needs help And I feel like he's gonna get some playing time against Green Bay this week. And Kirby Joseph is practicing or working out. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. FlintTown: And I've seen video which that's great news. Sam Laporta. It's disappointing that you go out there every week and you bear the risk of getting hurt. And he's talking about not getting a contract extension, getting paid through all this. He's like la like last year, whatever it was, week nine, week ten, I I break my fucking back for the team and then I'm going out there this year and I'm bawling and maybe they're just not showing the love. that was that was one of the quotes. There was another one in here that I probably should have screenshot in our chat. I'm waiting for it to load. But if you want to talk about it real quick, Flint, while this is loading. So on the season, we got Chat two games above 500 at 31, 29, and one. Then we got Flint in third place at 48, 44, and one. So four games above 500. And second place is Aaron at eight games above 500 at 50, 42, and one. And then I'm at the top still at 56, 36, and one and everything. So I said last week that was a week to go if you were gonna pick a parlay and go perfect. I was absolutely wrong on that because FlintTown: Ha ha. DadBodSportsCards: so many fucking surprises. When I was doing the picks for this week, I thought, like, man, this is our easy, but I don't know. Like, we don't know shit about football, right? Like we think we know, but wow. FlintTown: To be honest, it's been a crazy year though. Like unpredictable and a lot of injuries. But it's DadBodSportsCards: Yeah, there's a lot of injuries. Yeah. Yeah. None of us picked Tennessee and they won. None of us, New England did win. Tennessee, blah, blah, blah. And then, I mean, that was pretty much it for all the picks before we we were divided that were losses and everything. But crazy week. But we are into week seven. we will have we'll have our special guest, Dom, start us off on each of these picks. On the Pittsburgh game, we'll have Aaron go last. on the Detroit game, we'll have Flint go last. So we'll start off with Dom on the Thursday night football game. We got the New England Patriots at the future fifteen and two Chicago Bears. Who do you got, Dom? Dom: Yeah, I hope you're right. All right, this one I found to be the most difficult game of the week. FlintTown: Okay. Dom: partially because it's Thursday night football. those that know me know how much I despise Thursday night football. It's there's not enough time for players to recoup. You can't get guys off of injury lists. DadBodSportsCards: Mm-hmm. Dom: I don't I don't enjoy Thursday night. I wish they'd do away with it. Caleb is clearly not a hundred percent. He looked great for what he was, but he's not a hundred percent. And coming off of a short it's a short week, so that he didn't have doesn't have enough time with his trainers and you know, to rehab that thing anymore, and I don't think he's gonna get any better on this short week. He might get worse. He might be sore more sore than usual. Who knows what that's gonna look like. I'm sure New England's gonna blitz the crap out of him. He's not gonna be as mobile as normal. So I don't think Kyler Gordon will play as well this week, because you're able to game plan against that nickel blitz. so I think I think Vrabel's a smart enough coach to understand that maybe Dennis Allen might use Kyler Gordon as a decoy this week. because you're gonna think he's coming off the edge. So I think he'll he'll he'll mix it up. What I didn't realize is that the Bears have the best third and long defense in the league, because they either do an all out blitz or they they drop like eight people or seven people back in coverage, maybe sometimes eight, you know, to trick to trick the quarterback. but the biggest part of you, Flint and Dom, like I'm happy that you said that Caleb isn't mobile. Because if you go back to well, FlintTown: I can't say he's not mobile. DadBodSportsCards: I mean that he's not as mobile as he as he as he's able to be, right? And the best thing about Caleb Williams is he's coachable. And I know you talked in before we did the picks that if you know some quarterbacks don't put in the work. He puts in the work, like we're talking about he puts in the work Tom Brady style, right? Tom Brady's one of his mentors. Tom Brady, because they have the fanatics connection, they're both sign with fanatics, you know, for us on the sports card side. He spends a lot of time with Caleb. So Brady feeds a lot of information. Caleb has the killer instinct, like what we've grown accustomed to in Chicago. With with Michael Jordan. I'm not saying he's got Michael Jordan's killer instinct, but if you look at it, his rookie year, he got sacked, I think, 68 times. So the next season, they made it a point for him not to not get sacked. So he went from being sacked the most his rookie season to the next season being the least sacked quarterback the next season. That's a huge jump. We're not talking about like, he got sacked 20 to 30 times after that big sea that big season where he had sixty eight sacks. No, it was like in the teens what he got sacked. All right. So he improved on that. Last year he was the worst quarterback in completion percentage. Everybody wants to talk about that. Caleb throwing fifty-nine percent, even though I think John Elway's career is like fifty-eight percent. a lot of these all time greats, they're in like the high fifties, low sixties back in the day. but now we want completion percentages to be around sixty-eight to seventy two percent because they're dinking and dunking like four yard passes and everything. But that's FlintTown: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: not what that's really not what the Bears do, and that's not what Caleb does. But With all that said, he started doing that. And now he's at 72.5% completion percentage. So he went from worst again to first. So he's coachable. He made a comment after that Atlanta game was that he learned a lot from Case Keenum's game. And just to get the ball, get the to get the ball to the playmakers and let them do their thing. And that is exactly what he did to Atlanta. In the pocket, he was 26 of 26. And I know I talked about this in the pre-show. He went 26 of 26 when he was not pressured in the pocket. Yes, we could throw in, not pressured, but him getting 26 attempts, not being pressured, is a huge win for our offensive line considering we don't really have a left tackle, right? So, and then Jonah Jackson went out that game as well. and he might not play this this Thurs this Thursday. I I don't know. Maybe was he limited? Dom: He's actually not on the he's not on the report. They are ninth in the league on getting pressure on the quarterback. That's gonna be a problem for the Bears. But I'm gonna put my faith into Caleb and Ben Johnson getting that ball out quickly. that I mean New England has a great DB in Christian Gonzalez, but the Bears don't really have a true number one at all. So he can guard whoever. I would imagine that he might guard Burden because Burden, I think, is the most dangerous one out of our wide receivers. And we need a huge huge game for Medunze if that's the case. but yeah, I'm picking the Bears, Caleb. All the things that you guys are the reason why you're not picking the Bears, Flint and Dom, I think that's a bonus and actually what makes Caleb better. Like I know against Dallas, Matthew Gordon had back to back a hundred yard receiving a hundred receiving yards, which I think he's the first guy to do that since Devontae Adams, I think that's all that's that. And he dropped what would have been another deep shot touchdown, Christian two touch yeah. DadBodSportsCards: He dropped he dropped two touchdowns. Yeah. Aaron: Christian Watson dropped FlintTown: That was wild. Aaron: a touchdown. So I think it solely relies on Green Bay's wide receivers if they're gonna win this game. Cause like I said, they're a deep shot team. And I mean, they look they can they can do it like they can win on deep shots like they get they did against the Bears. But I think Detroit offense Is good enough to where it's not gonna be like the Bears, where the Packers can go out there, have their offensive drive, and then you know, the Bears defense is out there three plays later because the Bears offense can't hold up. Like Detroit's offense is gonna hold up, they're gonna score points, and Green Bay is not gonna have that that constant offense and the tiring, you know, opposing defense. So because of that, I'm gonna pick Detroit. My player to watch is gonna be Goff. He like like you said with a Manra, he's gotta he's gotta feed a Manra. He's gotta get his playmakers the ball. Because if those guys don't get a lot of targets, those guys don't get a lot of plays, their defense is not stopping the Packers. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. I got Detroit coming off the bye. offensively, the firepower is gonna be difficult for Green Bay to to stop or slow down even, especially coming off the bye. I'm I'm sure they worked out some Okay. FlintTown: Ha ha ha. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. Dom: Green Bay will not be able to run the ball even if they have Josh Jacobs. so I don't I don't know that they can keep up with Detroit here. They're probably favored in this game because it is in Detroit. They are coming off the bye week. But unfortunately, a couple weeks ago, I said that the Green Bay Packers are probably the most balanced team in the NFC North. the only thing that would change that is if the Vikings were able to get Jonathan Taylor. But right now they don't have Jonathan Taylor. I still feel Green Bay is probably going to be the most balanced team. Now they're getting Josh Jacobs back. They're eventually getting Micah Parsons back. I think Micah Parsons is practicing or they opened his practice window. I don't think he's playing this weekend, but even if he was, he might not be that much of a difference maker. He might be able to get some pressures, but I don't know. He won't be a game breaker that much coming off his first game off his office injury. But I'm picking the Green Bay Packers. As much as I fucking hate it, and it's always fuck Green Bay, Green Bay is just a better team. Green Bay finished second place in our division last year while Detroit finished in fourth. Detroit last year didn't have this internal poison in their locker room with Laporta and Amonra, but they have that now. And that's going to hinder their offense. And the offense, Detroit's offense is great. They're going to continue to light it up. But now that you're going to have this rift on the offense while potentially the defense getting better, it's like there's something going wrong in Detroit. That this is happening. Like their window has passed. I'm not saying Ben Johnson was the glue to all that and kept everybody in check and accountability and because they were able Detroit's been able to prove that their offense hasn't missed a beat without Ben Johnson. That only their defense has gotten worse and that that's why they've been losing. But Jared Goff's my player watch because he has to be perfect. And in order for him to be perfect, his number one wide receiver has to be happy. And now his tight end's gonna have to be happy, who's not happy. And I could see a play, one or two plays, where Laporta's like, you know what? I'm not gonna reach for this ball because I'm not gonna break my back again. I'm not gonna reach this ball because you don't wanna pay me. And that's gonna hinder the team. And then you got Amonra's like, fuck, Goff during the bye week didn't play Call of Duty with me, and he didn't eat breakfast with me. So what the fuck? you're not throwing it to me on the and to get a touchdown? Okay, I got I got you, Goff. I w I wanna I wanna be like my better wide receiver brother and go to the Bears. I'd really like what they're doing offensively. even without a true number one receiver, they're scoring points, they're moving the ball. defensively they have their struggles, but they can still rush the passer a little bit. Dom: guy I know Miles Garrett has been out and I know Aaron Donald is not the old Aaron Donald, but Phew this thing is rough. Last week, I believe it was the first time Genty got less than 79% of the snaps or the carries. And Mike Washington had up like to thirty five percent of the carries. genty from what I read, they're not happy with his production. So they might start giving the ball more to to to Mike Washington because Washington, I think, is averaging. I don't know what he's averaging, but it's a lot more than Genty. But that's just something to keep an eye on, fantasy football-wise. But yeah, I'm right there with you guys, with the Raiders. All right. Next game is the Sunday night football game. I think it's gonna be a really good game. It is the K9 revenge game on Seattle's I don't blame Seattle for moving on from K9. FlintTown: Yeah, just his cards. DadBodSportsCards: Now I heard PSA is giving them the value of the of the graded, but I heard they also lowballed some of offers too. FlintTown: So it a guy got a I seen this all today. A guy got a email from PSA. They offered he sent like a hundred and some cards, right? They sent him a email saying that we would give you four thousand two hundred and something dollars, right? DadBodSportsCards: Which was the less less than the cost of grading, right? I saw I saw that. I saw that. Yeah. The offer that they gave up. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Cause FlintTown: Yes! Yes! And that that's not even with the card! Like Aaron: Well DadBodSportsCards: the the the grading was forty nine hundred dollars is what he spent on grading. And they offered him forty two hundred or something like less, which is fucking ridiculous. FlintTown: Yes, yes, yes. I'm telling you this Dom: Sounds like an inside job. DadBodSportsCards: It does. It Aaron: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: does. FlintTown: That and Dom: Insurance fraud. FlintTown: this is a pinnacle moment, I think, with the grading companies. The hobby has to let their voice be inheard. The hobby has to, because this cannot keep going on. It's DadBodSportsCards: I agree. FlintTown: every month something is going on with PSA. DadBodSportsCards: So I'm I'm glad I'm glad you say that because just just real quick, Tag has put out a pr a statement saying that they're gonna do kiosk, grading kiosk at locations. You put your card in, they grade it on site in that kiosk, they slab it up and it comes back out. Now, if because I think they're using AI for grading and everything, if if they do that, especially my area, I'm gonna get a ton of cards graded because I want that to be. a successful thing. One, because we move away from PSA. And two, that's like that's innovation that somebody should have already. Like there's no reason PSA should be eight months out before you get a card back. And then FlintTown: Exactly. DadBodSportsCards: now now you got the risk of the cards getting stolen, you know, and in that big batch of in that big batch coming, you know, going through FedEx and everything. But yeah, if tag can figure out this kios thing, like I got plenty of cards that I would pay A little extra for kiosk to get it slabbed up. I don't know how long it's gonna take, but I what what's gonna happen, what I don't like, because what happened at the national is when Beckett was like, hey, we're gonna grade everything here and you get it back the same day. They ran out of slabs. They didn't bring enough slabs to keep up with the demand. So those kiosks are gonna have a certain amount of because every you know you're gonna get some fucking you got people like camping out for Pokemon. People are gonna camp out for this kiosk to put in FlintTown: Yeah. Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: like a hundred cards in there. And then nobody else is gonna get a chance. So they gotta have a lot of slabs in there. They gotta have a lot of material in there and maybe have multiple kiosks at one location that way. FlintTown: Or maybe ha like before you ramp it up, maybe like per person five to ten cards just to get it going, just to you know, so then DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
