- 0:00Speaker 1: What party have you historically voted for in your life?
- 0:03Speaker 2: Republican.
- 0:04Speaker 1: Who did you vote for?
- 0:06Speaker 3: Trump.
- 0:07Speaker 2: So, now going back to that, because I had a
- 0:10Speaker 2: feeling that was going to be the answer, why do
- 0:12Speaker 2: you think you can vote away my basic human rights
- 0:14Speaker 2: and expect a relationship with me?
- 0:16Speaker 4: I'm just going to spoil it. She never says what
- 0:18Speaker 4: rights are being taken away. None of these people having
- 0:21Speaker 4: crash shots over politics know even the smallest of specific
- 0:24Speaker 4: details on the things that they're mad about, or even
- 0:27Speaker 4: know what things like rights are. But this person who
- 0:29Speaker 4: still wears a mask in 2025 is a 24-year-old girl
- 0:32Speaker 4: who calls herself Raven, and she's talking to her 82-year-old grandpa, Frank.
- 0:37Speaker 4: After one year of not speaking to him, Raven has
- 0:40Speaker 4: decided to interview him and discuss their values.
- 0:44Speaker 2: So I'm trying not to interject, but can we maybe
- 0:46Speaker 2: just simplify it to the way you vote is because
- 0:49Speaker 2: you just don't agree with the Democratic Party, so you're
- 0:51Speaker 2: voting against the Democratic Party.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Can we simplify it to that?
- 0:53Speaker 2: Right.
- 0:54Speaker 5: That probably describes at least half of the people who
- 0:56Speaker 5: are voting.
- 0:57Speaker 1: Can you see.
- 0:58Speaker 2: After all of these questions and having this talk with me,
- 1:01Speaker 2: if I continue to have a relationship with you without
- 1:05Speaker 2: absolutely any change in your behavior, how I would be
- 1:08Speaker 2: enabling fascism?
- 1:09Speaker 4: That's a pretty strong claim. Now, is she going to
- 1:12Speaker 4: go into any specific detail on how all these people
- 1:14Speaker 4: are fascists?
- 1:15Speaker 5: No, not really.
- 1:17Speaker 4: Anyway, for the past, I don't know, decade almost, there's
- 1:20Speaker 4: been a particularly strong push from leftists to destroy their
- 1:23Speaker 4: families over political differences.
- 1:25Speaker 5: So, last night.
- 1:55Speaker 3: I told my mom and dad that because they voted
- 1:59Speaker 3: for someone who wants me dead, that they no longer
- 2:02Speaker 3: have the privilege of having their daughter and their granddaughters
- 2:06Speaker 3: in their life. And I told them never contact me again.
- 2:08Speaker 3: I'm never calling you. I want nothing to do with you.
- 2:12Speaker 5: I mean, there are just so many videos like this
- 2:14Speaker 5: out there. I.
- 2:16Speaker 7: Went no contact with my parents two weeks before the
- 2:19Speaker 7: election because they voted. I found out that they voted
- 2:22Speaker 7: for Trump for a third time. They do everything but say,
- 2:25Speaker 7: I'm so sorry that I voted to take away your
- 2:28Speaker 7: rights as a woman, as a queer person, and as
- 2:31Speaker 7: a federal employee. I like don't care, guys. I just
- 2:35Speaker 7: want you to say that you're Nazis now.
- 2:38Speaker 4: So I think the more nefarious part of this is
- 2:40Speaker 4: the part where these people are taking multiple innocent bystanders
- 2:43Speaker 4: with them, like kids, or they're emotionally blackmailing people to
- 2:47Speaker 4: pick a side, all while repeating the same few words
- 2:50Speaker 4: or phrases like Nazi or you're taking my rights away.
- 2:54Speaker 4: I say this because when you have tons of people
- 2:56Speaker 4: who in lockstep are saying these same exact things, it's
- 2:59Speaker 4: not because they all independently thought of this stuff themselves,
- 3:02Speaker 4: it's because they're being told to say it. Here's the
- 3:05Speaker 4: Guardian telling you to punish your family for voting for
- 3:07Speaker 4: Trump in 2016. Here's them saying it again this year,
- 3:11Speaker 4: but half walking it back, not because they had a
- 3:13Speaker 4: change of heart, but because ostracizing Trump voters wasn't an
- 3:16Speaker 4: effective strategy. Here's BuzzFeed sharing a bunch of stories and
- 3:20Speaker 4: giving social proof to people who disown family and friends
- 3:22Speaker 4: over Trump.
- 3:23Speaker 5: And here's Joy.
- 3:24Speaker 4: Reid from MSNBC talking to a Yale psychiatrist who is
- 3:28Speaker 4: telling viewers to cut people who voted for Trump out
- 3:30Speaker 4: of their lives.
- 3:31Speaker 2: When you know someone voted that way, do you recommend
- 3:34Speaker 2: just from a psychological standpoint being around them?
- 3:37Speaker 6: If you are going into a situation where you have
- 3:39Speaker 6: family members, where you have close friends who you know
- 3:43Speaker 6: have voted in ways that are against you, it's completely
- 3:47Speaker 6: fine to not be around those people and to tell
- 3:50Speaker 6: them why.
- 3:50Speaker 4: The most disgusting thing about this is that they're using
- 3:53Speaker 4: a psychology professional to say it, which implies that it's
- 3:56Speaker 4: the mentally healthy thing to do.
- 3:58Speaker 5: And that brings us back to Raven.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Hi, I'm Raven.
- 4:01Speaker 2: I'm a disabled queer communist.
- 4:03Speaker 4: She's also polyamorous and unemployed, so there's all of her tags.
- 4:07Speaker 4: And of course, the purple hair and the septum piercing
- 4:09Speaker 4: never fails to identify someone who is about to have
- 4:11Speaker 4: an insane take. That being said, let's have Raven educate
- 4:15Speaker 4: us on politics. But first, just for context, this interview
- 4:20Speaker 4: was an hour long, but she only uploaded nine minutes
- 4:22Speaker 4: of it. So understand that even though this next moment
- 4:25Speaker 4: occurs at almost the start of her video, Raven and
- 4:27Speaker 4: her grandpa have been talking for a while.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Now that I've asked my questions and I've allowed you
- 4:31Speaker 2: to speak, it's my turn to speak and read my
- 4:34Speaker 2: summary and I ask you to not interrupt. The series
- 4:36Speaker 2: of questions was created to underline the interconnectedness of our personal.
- 4:41Speaker 1: And political lives. That's what I was trying to do.
- 4:43Speaker 1: We cannot put politics to the side.
- 4:46Speaker 2: The American empire was built off black and indigenous slavery
- 4:50Speaker 2: and genocide.
- 4:51Speaker 4: I mean, that's a really uninformed perspective on politics. Lots
- 4:54Speaker 4: of places still have slavery or near slavery in the
- 4:57Speaker 4: modern day. And I can't think of one that's not
- 4:59Speaker 4: a third world country. You can't build a country as
- 5:02Speaker 4: successful as America with slavery. and all the great innovations
- 5:05Speaker 4: of this country came after it was abolished. Now, since
- 5:09Speaker 4: you're a communist, I suggest that you look into Russia,
- 5:12Speaker 4: a country that in the 1900s enslaved and mass-murdered their
- 5:15Speaker 4: own population under communism. However, slaves would so often damage
- 5:19Speaker 4: or sabotage the things that they were creating, like railroads,
- 5:23Speaker 4: that books like the Gulag Archipelago insist that slavery was
- 5:26Speaker 4: actually more expensive than free market labor. America did not
- 5:29Speaker 4: become a powerhouse because of slavery. America is successful because
- 5:33Speaker 4: of its institutional limitations on abusers. Power is almost always
- 5:38Speaker 4: eventually seized by liars, cheaters, and thieves. The countries that
- 5:41Speaker 4: do well are the ones that have the best protections
- 5:44Speaker 4: against that. This is described very well in a great
- 5:47Speaker 4: book that I surprisingly found on the bookshelf of Hasan Piker,
- 5:49Speaker 4: of all people, called Why Nations Fail.
- 6:02Speaker 1: If I allow somebody in my life that supports these ideologies,
- 6:06Speaker 1: I just enable them.
- 6:07Speaker 4: She says this as she exploits drama with her grandpa
- 6:10Speaker 4: for views in multiple videos. I wonder what her definition
- 6:13Speaker 4: of exploitation is, especially considering that she's a follower of communism,
- 6:17Speaker 4: which is one of the most exploitative and murderous ideologies
- 6:20Speaker 4: known to modern history. Now, I'm sure these people know
- 6:23Speaker 4: what a spectrum is since they use that word all
- 6:25Speaker 4: the time. Politics is a spectrum of relative behavior. There's
- 6:29Speaker 4: never going to be a perfect political system where everyone
- 6:32Speaker 4: is perfectly happy and everything is okay. Political progress is
- 6:36Speaker 4: about making things one step better than it was before,
- 6:39Speaker 4: and you have to be realistic about who politicians actually
- 6:42Speaker 4: are and how the game of politics is played. I
- 6:44Speaker 4: tend to agree with a book called The Dictator's Handbook
- 6:47Speaker 4: where they say that generally the goal of politicians is
- 6:49Speaker 4: to stay in power as long as possible while enriching
- 6:52Speaker 4: themselves and their friends who got them into power as
- 6:55Speaker 4: much as possible. In the book, this is understood as
- 6:58Speaker 4: merely a fact of nature, and designing a system without
- 7:00Speaker 4: that in mind will doom that system to fail. This
- 7:04Speaker 4: is why the founding fathers of America created things like
- 7:06Speaker 4: the Bill of Rights, which sets limitations on government power
- 7:10Speaker 4: for the purpose of making tyranny more difficult.
- 7:12Speaker 2: I spent years educating you. If you truly unconditionally loved me,
- 7:16Speaker 2: your politics would reflect that. You wouldn't have spent the
- 7:19Speaker 2: majority of your life voting my rights away. That is
- 7:22Speaker 2: not unconditional love. I will always be the child in
- 7:25Speaker 2: this situation, and you will always be the adult, with
- 7:28Speaker 2: many years on me. Allowing a relationship with you would
- 7:31Speaker 2: allow you to believe that there are no consequences for
- 7:33Speaker 2: the way that you vote.
- 7:34Speaker 1: Again, this is not a debate. These are my boundaries.
- 7:38Speaker 5: Education?
- 7:39Speaker 4: You aren't educating anyone in this video. You're talking at someone.
- 7:42Speaker 4: Real education takes real care, patience, and kindness. Belittlement, shame,
- 7:47Speaker 4: and guilt does not equal education. I'm assuming that Raven
- 7:51Speaker 4: means these words to only apply to people who agree
- 7:53Speaker 4: with her, because when people don't agree with her, she
- 7:56Speaker 4: shames them for not voting correctly, talks to them like
- 7:58Speaker 4: they're a child, and threatens abandonment for not having the
- 8:01Speaker 4: exact same opinion that she has. And it's not like
- 8:04Speaker 4: Grandpa Frank is dismissive of her. Clearly he listens and
- 8:07Speaker 4: can accurately say what her values are when she asks.
- 8:10Speaker 1: I wish she uploaded the full hour.
- 8:13Speaker 4: I would have loved to hear how her grandpa responded
- 8:17Speaker 4: to her questions. Instead, we got Raven going on a
- 8:25Speaker 4: tirade the whole time. I mean, multiple times she says
- 8:28Speaker 4: this is an interview, but anyone watching can clearly see
- 8:31Speaker 4: that this is a tribunal where Raven is here to
- 8:33Speaker 4: judge and chastise Grandpa for voting the wrong way.
- 8:36Speaker 2: My politics and my political life are completely intertwined. You
- 8:40Speaker 2: can't vote away my basic human rights and expect a
- 8:43Speaker 2: relationship with me.
- 8:43Speaker 1: You just can't, Grandpa.
- 8:45Speaker 2: I shouldn't have to sit here and list off all
- 8:47Speaker 2: of the awful things Trump has done since he's got
- 8:49Speaker 2: in office.
- 8:49Speaker 1: I shouldn't have to.
- 8:50Speaker 2: It's my basic human rights that should horrify you at
- 8:53Speaker 2: its core. We are drowning as a society.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Fucking drowning.
- 8:57Speaker 5: We are drowning. Just drowning, guys.
- 9:01Speaker 4: Going back to the Trump thing, though, if you're trying
- 9:03Speaker 4: to educate someone, maybe you should list out specific examples
- 9:06Speaker 4: of wrongdoing from Trump and back that up with evidence.
- 9:09Speaker 5: What's this say?
- 9:10Speaker 4: Rewatching this, I don't believe he can do better. I'm
- 9:13Speaker 4: just trying to convince him he can. He's proved to
- 9:16Speaker 4: me at his core he's a mansplaining discriminatory supremacist.
- 9:20Speaker 5: Damn, you're a real bitch.
- 9:21Speaker 4: Grandpa just wants to play Scrabble, and you had to
- 9:23Speaker 4: berate him for an hour over nothing. You're lucky he's
- 9:26Speaker 4: trying to spend time with you at all. Now, I
- 9:28Speaker 4: watch videos of crazy people for a living, so I
- 9:30Speaker 4: know that whatever she's complaining about is not the real issue.
- 9:33Speaker 4: It's just a mask, if you will. So let's get
- 9:37Speaker 4: to why Raven is actually mad at her grandpa for
- 9:39Speaker 4: voting for Trump.
- 9:40Speaker 1: You should care about me.
- 9:41Speaker 2: And how I feel in our relationship more than you
- 9:44Speaker 2: should care about the fucking economy.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Because, again, you know it's a made-up system. That we
- 9:48Speaker 1: made up. And it doesn't need to be here. We
- 9:50Speaker 1: don't need to exploit people. The 1% doesn't need to
- 9:53Speaker 1: keep making more money. While I have none. My county
- 9:57Speaker 1: has already called me and told me.
- 9:58Speaker 2: That my EBT... and my health care under Trump are now, like,
- 10:03Speaker 2: being attacked, and I have to fight for my fucking rights.
- 10:06Speaker 5: EBT, you're 24. Get a fucking job. Go bag some fries.
- 10:10Speaker 4: I mean, if you want to talk about exploitation, holy shit,
- 10:13Speaker 4: nothing is more exploitative than forcing other people to pay
- 10:16Speaker 4: your expenses so you can spend your whole day scrolling
- 10:18Speaker 4: on TikTok. Oh wait, it appears she does have an
- 10:21Speaker 4: excuse for why she can't work.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Under Biden and state governed by walls, you.
- 10:25Speaker 2: Saw the system deem me disposable. I wasn't allowed any
- 10:29Speaker 2: cash assistance. I wasn't allowed disability.
- 10:31Speaker 1: They didn't care.
- 10:32Speaker 2: About any of my mental or physical 15 plus diagnosed disabilities.
- 10:37Speaker 2: After that, I was forced to rely on mutual aid,
- 10:40Speaker 2: which is an anti-capitalist ideology.
- 10:42Speaker 1: Mutual aid you gave me. Mutual aid I survived off of.
- 10:47Speaker 4: Well, that's really ungrateful of you to treat your grandfather
- 10:49Speaker 4: like this after he helped you financially or gave you
- 10:52Speaker 4: mutual aid when you needed it. But okay, she's disabled.
- 10:55Speaker 4: She has 15 plus diagnosed physical and mental disabilities.
- 10:59Speaker 5: Name them. Name one diagnosis you've received. Does she ever
- 11:03Speaker 5: do that?
- 11:04Speaker 6: No.
- 11:04Speaker 4: I've watched tons of her videos, I've heard her repeat
- 11:06Speaker 4: this line on disabilities multiple times, and she has not
- 11:09Speaker 4: mentioned a single diagnosis. However, during one of the times
- 11:13Speaker 4: that she claimed that she was too disabled to work,
- 11:15Speaker 4: She said something about motor issues and a wheelchair, as
- 11:18Speaker 4: if no one in a wheelchair has ever had a
- 11:19Speaker 4: job before. So to be honest, I don't at all
- 11:22Speaker 4: think that she's too disabled to work.
- 11:24Speaker 5: Here's why.
- 11:24Speaker 4: Now it's hard to see because of all the text
- 11:27Speaker 4: on screen, but you can see her using a screwdriver here,
- 11:30Speaker 4: so clearly her hands work. Next I have a video
- 11:32Speaker 4: of her being strong enough to help move a washer.
- 11:35Speaker 4: Then we have her painting so she's able to do that.
- 11:37Speaker 4: People pay to have things painted, and she already has
- 11:39Speaker 4: her own mask. Here's a picture from not even a
- 11:42Speaker 4: year ago where she not only is able to stand up,
- 11:44Speaker 4: but also hold her fiance up with her. Oh shit,
- 11:47Speaker 4: she's actually able to pick her fiance up and twirl
- 11:49Speaker 4: her around multiple times. There are actually multiple videos of
- 11:53Speaker 4: her dancing and displaying that her motor skills are just fine,
- 11:56Speaker 4: and the government seems to agree that she's fine because
- 11:58Speaker 4: they denied her disability.
- 12:00Speaker 2: When I became too disabled to work, they didn't care
- 12:03Speaker 2: that I had been disabled my entire life. They didn't
- 12:05Speaker 2: care about my 15 plus diagnosed mental and physical disabilities.
- 12:09Speaker 2: They looked at my age and they told me they
- 12:12Speaker 2: would throw away my disability case and my cash assistance
- 12:16Speaker 2: just due to my age.
- 12:17Speaker 5: This is justice.
- 12:18Speaker 4: She tried to commit welfare fraud and the government told
- 12:20Speaker 4: her to F off. I mean, it's not like she
- 12:22Speaker 4: has any expenses anyway. She stated in one of her
- 12:25Speaker 4: videos that she lives with her fiance's mom, she doesn't
- 12:28Speaker 4: have any dependents, and she clearly can just go get
- 12:30Speaker 4: a job. You don't need welfare. But not only does
- 12:34Speaker 4: she not really have any expenses, she's even dumb enough
- 12:36Speaker 4: to incriminate herself by openly bragging about that.
- 12:39Speaker 2: I don't know anybody that practices anti-capitalism in real life
- 12:45Speaker 2: like I do. I don't have a job. I don't
- 12:47Speaker 2: have a bank account. I don't have phone services. I
- 12:50Speaker 2: don't overconsume. I don't consume anything that I don't need.
- 12:54Speaker 2: I really do not ask my partner for anything that's
- 12:57Speaker 2: not a necessity.
- 12:58Speaker 5: Yeah, this is all a lie.
- 13:01Speaker 4: First, how are you filming videos and then uploading them
- 13:03Speaker 4: to the internet without having some sort of agreement with
- 13:05Speaker 4: a phone company or internet service provider? Second, makeup is
- 13:09Speaker 4: not a necessity, and you have a ton of it.
- 13:11Speaker 4: I'm not stupid, I've been to a Sephora before, and
- 13:14Speaker 4: I know that shit's expensive. Last, she has a Barbie collection,
- 13:18Speaker 4: which is totally not materialistic or an expression of needless
- 13:21Speaker 4: consumption at all.
- 13:22Speaker 2: We as a society will get literally nowhere near anti-capitalism
- 13:25Speaker 2: until we the consumers stop over-consuming and over-indulging in capitalism.
- 13:31Speaker 4: I also love how she calls herself the best anti-capitalist
- 13:33Speaker 4: that she knows, as she has her girlfriend pay for
- 13:36Speaker 4: everything while she sits around all day not working. Well, actually,
- 13:39Speaker 4: spending your whole life mooching off of others describes Karl
- 13:42Speaker 4: Marx quite well, so maybe she is a true communist
- 13:45Speaker 4: at heart. But when people point this stuff out about
- 13:47Speaker 4: how she's just lazy and definitely not too disabled to work, She, like,
- 13:51Speaker 4: tries to curse them through the internet.
- 13:53Speaker 2: And because the majority have not worked through their internalized ableism,
- 13:57Speaker 2: I do have to note that you are always one
- 14:00Speaker 2: accident or disease away from joining the disabled community, becoming
- 14:03Speaker 2: too disabled to work under capitalism.
- 14:05Speaker 4: I mean, this is so stupid. In this same video,
- 14:08Speaker 4: she gives a sob story about how a functional window
- 14:11Speaker 4: kind of looks ugly because the contractor didn't redo the
- 14:14Speaker 4: borders after the new window was put in. And after
- 14:17Speaker 4: going on a tirade about how she is so moral...
- 14:19Speaker 4: She essentially e-begs people to fix the window for her.
- 14:23Speaker 2: Or, again, you can message me from my partner's cow shop.
- 14:25Speaker 2: We have that window upstairs that needs to be fixed.
- 14:28Speaker 5: Pay for it yourself.
- 14:29Speaker 4: Or, considering that you must have an insane amount of
- 14:32Speaker 4: free time, how about you go onto YouTube to learn
- 14:34Speaker 4: how to fix the trim? It can't be that hard
- 14:36Speaker 4: to nail a few boards to a wall. Ask Grandpa
- 14:39Speaker 4: Frank if you can borrow some tools. Though I'm not kidding,
- 14:42Speaker 4: this girl is in her mid-twenties and she has the
- 14:44Speaker 4: mentality and the maturity of a three-year-old.
- 14:46Speaker 1: Everything we could ever need in the entire world is
- 14:48Speaker 1: free from.
- 14:49Speaker 7: The fucking ground.
- 14:50Speaker 2: While the 1% is putting prices on shit that is
- 14:53Speaker 2: free from the fucking ground.
- 14:56Speaker 1: I don't get it.
- 14:57Speaker 2: I don't understand your support of the system. I don't
- 15:00Speaker 2: understand how you cannot see that your support of the
- 15:02Speaker 2: system affects our relationship.
- 15:04Speaker 4: Right, morality is when people work on farms for no pay,
- 15:08Speaker 4: while I do nothing and get the fruits of their
- 15:10Speaker 4: labor for free. This is slavery, you moron. You literally
- 15:14Speaker 4: describe slavery as a moral good if it benefits you.
- 15:17Speaker 4: Miss White Savior out here trying to save the world
- 15:20Speaker 4: from capitalism with her uncle-rucus-ass takes on how labor should
- 15:23Speaker 4: be organized. The only way to motivate large groups of
- 15:26Speaker 4: people to work outside of basic necessity for no pay
- 15:29Speaker 4: is to abuse them. But the abuse thing is going
- 15:31Speaker 4: to make this next part make sense, where Raven goes
- 15:34Speaker 4: full mask off on how abusive she is to her family.
- 15:37Speaker 1: Like, you understand. We've had talks. I know you get it.
- 15:41Speaker 1: You have to change. I don't care how old you are.
- 15:45Speaker 3: Like, I don't care.
- 15:45Speaker 1: I seriously don't care.
- 15:46Speaker 2: You could be 100 years old and I'd still sit
- 15:48Speaker 2: down and have this conversation with you. And I'm having
- 15:51Speaker 2: this conversation with you because I care. If I didn't
- 15:53Speaker 2: give a fuck about you, I could have just blocked
- 15:54Speaker 2: your number and never talked to you again, honestly.
- 15:56Speaker 1: Just like I did mom.
- 15:58Speaker 2: Like, I am asking you to do better and show
- 16:00Speaker 2: that you actually unconditionally love me like you say you do.
- 16:03Speaker 1: Because the way you vote doesn't. I know this is
- 16:07Speaker 1: a hard pill for you to swallow. I am asking you.
- 16:19Speaker 4: This is called emotional blackmail. She's using her grandfather's emotional
- 16:22Speaker 4: connection to her, and the fact that he's old and
- 16:24Speaker 4: doesn't have much time to live, to assert power and
- 16:27Speaker 4: control over him. Just remember, if you don't become a
- 16:30Speaker 4: communist like me, I'll block you like I blocked mom.
- 16:33Speaker 4: For context, she blocked her mom five years ago, but
- 16:36Speaker 4: she is fully aware of the cruelty.
- 16:38Speaker 5: She's committing here, as she said it in a different video.
- 16:41Speaker 2: Voting away my basic human rights and expecting a relationship
- 16:44Speaker 2: with me?
- 16:45Speaker 1: That's actually crazy.
- 16:46Speaker 2: And I actually don't care how heartless any of you
- 16:49Speaker 2: think I am for thinking this. I cannot wait for
- 16:52Speaker 2: all of my abusers to pass away. The interview was
- 16:54Speaker 2: an entire hour long. One of the questions I asked
- 16:58Speaker 2: him was had he thought for maybe one second that
- 17:01Speaker 2: I'd already considered that he would pass away during my
- 17:05Speaker 2: time of no contact, which I did, which a lot
- 17:07Speaker 2: of you guys in the comments aren't realizing. That's something
- 17:11Speaker 2: I've already considered. And that's how awful he is. Like,
- 17:14Speaker 2: Republicans are so un-self-aware. Like, do you know how people
- 17:18Speaker 2: feel when they're around you and when we talk to you?
- 17:21Speaker 1: It's triggering.
- 17:22Speaker 4: Yeah, that's pretty cruel. She continues her emotional blackmailing here.
- 17:26Speaker 1: I think you're capable of doing better no matter how
- 17:28Speaker 1: old you are.
- 17:31Speaker 2: And I don't think it's fair that I'm alone because
- 17:34Speaker 2: you all believe in these things, these hateful ideologies.
- 17:37Speaker 1: I don't think it's fair.
- 17:38Speaker 5: Right.
- 17:39Speaker 4: You, the person who is voluntarily throwing people out of
- 17:42Speaker 4: your life, is the one who's being abandoned right now. Unfortunately,
- 17:46Speaker 4: Raven isn't the only person who lacks self-awareness of her
- 17:49Speaker 4: personal choices. That chick from earlier said the same thing.
- 17:53Speaker 7: I fucking hate this administration. They have destroyed everything in
- 17:56Speaker 7: my life, including my relationship with my parents.
- 17:59Speaker 4: You're really not able to take responsibility for your actions,
- 18:01Speaker 4: are you? But one thing that was curious to me
- 18:04Speaker 4: is that Raven said that these people in her family
- 18:06Speaker 4: were abusers. Why did she say that? Well, I did
- 18:09Speaker 4: some digging, and Raven claims that she had a very
- 18:11Speaker 4: harsh childhood. Her mom was a drug addict, and her
- 18:14Speaker 4: dad wasn't in the picture. Though Raven sort of has
- 18:17Speaker 4: this unreliable narrator quality, so I don't think we can
- 18:19Speaker 4: believe everything she says. but I do believe that her
- 18:22Speaker 4: dad wasn't around because she never has any stories about him.
- 18:25Speaker 4: And I do believe her mom was majorly into drugs,
- 18:28Speaker 4: because Raven states that she has a little sister who
- 18:30Speaker 4: is a child, and Grandpa takes care of her, not
- 18:32Speaker 4: her mom. That only really happens if the mom is
- 18:35Speaker 4: an addict. And this part where you wish your mom
- 18:38Speaker 4: believed in abortion here is kind of rough. But addiction
- 18:41Speaker 4: seems to have been a major influence in Raven's life,
- 18:43Speaker 4: as her grandma was also an alcoholic. Eventually Raven got
- 18:46Speaker 4: into drugs at 17, not just doing alcohol, but hard
- 18:49Speaker 4: drugs as well. However, she claims that she was able
- 18:52Speaker 4: to calm down a bit after moving in with an
- 18:54Speaker 4: ex-girlfriend of hers. And wow, this right here is some
- 18:57Speaker 4: real borderline personality behavior. She said that she broke up
- 19:00Speaker 4: with her ex because she was an alcoholic, but Raven
- 19:02Speaker 4: describes alcoholic behaviors in herself, saying that she drank daily
- 19:05Speaker 4: after the breakup, which means she probably drank quite a
- 19:08Speaker 4: lot during the relationship too. I'd scream and cry in
- 19:12Speaker 4: our room, hoping she'd check on me. She could never
- 19:14Speaker 4: hear my cries. She always had her headphones on. Okay,
- 19:18Speaker 4: you need treatment. If an adult is having a problem,
- 19:20Speaker 4: then they speak to people up front and try to
- 19:22Speaker 4: reach a compromise, not engage in this passive-aggressive behavior. Finally,
- 19:27Speaker 4: Raven gets involved with her current partner, and she states
- 19:29Speaker 4: that she's sober now, which I say congrats on the
- 19:31Speaker 4: five years off of hard drugs, but I've watched her
- 19:33Speaker 4: smoke weed in multiple videos, so technically, she's not sober.
- 19:37Speaker 2: I've gotten dressed and ready and smoked. I've got my
- 19:41Speaker 2: crochet right here.
- 19:42Speaker 4: She's still an addict, and if you don't get treatment, Raven,
- 19:45Speaker 4: then you're gonna go right back to the things that
- 19:47Speaker 4: are more intense when life stresses you out enough. So
- 19:49Speaker 4: this is her backstory on why she doesn't like her family.
- 19:52Speaker 4: I would say that it's reasonable to break contact with
- 19:55Speaker 4: her mom unless her mom gets treatment, because that's how
- 19:57Speaker 4: you motivate addicts to change, and decisions like this will
- 20:00Speaker 4: help Raven stay sober herself. However, really none of this
- 20:03Speaker 4: has anything to do with Grandpa. I don't see how
- 20:05Speaker 4: he's your abuser. And in a video where she alleges
- 20:08Speaker 4: that her mom hit her and CPS got called, she
- 20:10Speaker 4: even says that he was like her safe haven away
- 20:12Speaker 4: from her abusive parents.
- 20:14Speaker 2: And my mom looks at me right in front of
- 20:16Speaker 2: these CPS workers and goes, you'll never see your aunt
- 20:20Speaker 2: or grandpa again if you tell them I did this.
- 20:23Speaker 2: And at the time, those were my favorite people, my
- 20:27Speaker 2: safe people, safe people away from my abusive parents. I'm
- 20:32Speaker 2: like old enough to know now that they were just enablers,
- 20:35Speaker 2: but Those were my favorite people growing up.
- 20:37Speaker 4: Raven's argument is that he's bad because he's an enabler,
- 20:40Speaker 4: which is probably true because there's a lot of addiction
- 20:42Speaker 4: in her family, and addicts don't survive without enablers. But
- 20:45Speaker 4: give the guy a break, he's 82, and there wasn't
- 20:48Speaker 4: exactly an abundance of easily accessible mental health information when
- 20:51Speaker 4: he was younger. He could have easily mistakenly got trapped
- 20:54Speaker 4: into a relationship with someone who was mentally unwell, and
- 20:57Speaker 4: he could have been the victim of physical or emotional
- 20:59Speaker 4: abuse for years, if you didn't provide grandma with alcohol.
- 21:03Speaker 4: Addicts and mentally ill people can be quite convincing, and
- 21:05Speaker 4: it can take years to learn how to not put
- 21:07Speaker 4: up with their shit anymore. Though clearly at some point,
- 21:10Speaker 4: Grandpa Frank realized his past mistakes, because Raven reports that
- 21:13Speaker 4: he has apologized for his past enabling behaviors, and it
- 21:16Speaker 4: sounds like he's trying to make it up to her.
- 21:18Speaker 2: I shouldn't have had to point out how you saying
- 21:20Speaker 2: you failed me growing up is not changed behavior. How
- 21:24Speaker 2: are you helping or protecting my younger sibling from the
- 21:26Speaker 2: same abuse growing up?
- 21:28Speaker 1: Are you educating her?
- 21:29Speaker 2: Are you doing.
- 21:30Speaker 1: Anything differently that you did with me?
- 21:32Speaker 2: Or are you just doing like what you did with
- 21:34Speaker 2: me and you're trying to buy her way through life?
- 21:37Speaker 4: Yeah, this is how I can tell that Raven is
- 21:39Speaker 4: not in any sort of recovery for her addictions because
- 21:42Speaker 4: forgiveness is a big part of addiction treatment. Like the
- 21:44Speaker 4: minute that she has a life crisis that's large enough,
- 21:46Speaker 4: she's going to go right back to the hard drugs.
- 21:49Speaker 5: She's a ticking time bomb.
- 21:50Speaker 4: And is only going to make relapse more likely by
- 21:52Speaker 4: cutting off ties with her family. But from the outside
- 21:55Speaker 4: looking in, it seems like her mom was an unfit
- 21:57Speaker 4: parent and her grandpa essentially rescued her from being put
- 22:00Speaker 4: in the foster care system, but she's blaming him for
- 22:03Speaker 4: what other people have done. Sure, there might have been
- 22:05Speaker 4: some past actions that grandpa could have taken to prevent
- 22:07Speaker 4: Raven's mom from becoming a drug abuser, but we don't
- 22:10Speaker 4: really have the story on that and it looks like
- 22:12Speaker 4: he's trying to make up for everything. Meanwhile, all Raven
- 22:15Speaker 4: does is virtue signal in multiple videos about how good
- 22:18Speaker 4: of a person she is.
- 22:19Speaker 2: Of course we have an empathy problem right now as
- 22:23Speaker 2: a society. It's because we allow people to sit behind
- 22:27Speaker 2: their phone and behind a screen and say whatever the
- 22:29Speaker 2: fuck they want without consequences. And I don't think that's
- 22:32Speaker 2: how the world should work. I think there should be
- 22:34Speaker 2: consequences for the shit you say. I think you should
- 22:37Speaker 2: get your shit rocked if you're a bad person. And
- 22:40Speaker 2: I don't feel bad for saying that. Bless my little heart.
- 22:45Speaker 2: I have a big heart and I have empathy.
- 22:46Speaker 4: Do you? Let it be known that anyone who has
- 22:49Speaker 4: to tell you about how empathetic they are is probably
- 22:51Speaker 4: a sociopath or a bad person.
- 22:53Speaker 5: I'm done being nice to Ethan. I gave it a chance.
- 22:56Speaker 4: My sincerity and my empathy in that last video was real.
- 23:01Speaker 4: I mean, the only person in this situation who displays
- 23:04Speaker 4: any understanding of empathy is Grandpa Frank.
- 23:07Speaker 2: If I continue to have a relationship with you without
- 23:11Speaker 2: absolutely any change in your behavior, how I would be
- 23:13Speaker 2: enabling fascism?
- 23:15Speaker 4: Let me turn that around to you.
- 23:17Speaker 1: I've been honest to what I believe.
- 23:19Speaker 6: Mm-hmm.
- 23:20Speaker 4: How do you feel if I said, well, if you
- 23:21Speaker 4: can't change the way you believe to match my needs,
- 23:25Speaker 4: how can I respect you?
- 23:27Speaker 1: Should we both look at ourselves and.
- 23:29Speaker 4: Change what we can? So this concludes Raven's interview or
- 23:32Speaker 4: tribunal with Grandpa, but it doesn't conclude the story. This
- 23:36Speaker 4: TikTok was filmed shortly after the event, and I imagine
- 23:39Speaker 4: after her video went viral. Here she is talking about
- 23:42Speaker 4: the week following the interview.
- 23:43Speaker 2: I've been trying to go no contact with my fascist
- 23:45Speaker 2: grandpa for years over his political views. I have told
- 23:49Speaker 2: him he cannot vote away my rights and expect a
- 23:51Speaker 2: relationship with me. But yeah, just to like underline and
- 23:54Speaker 2: make this so clear, he keeps blowing up my phone,
- 23:57Speaker 2: showing up to my house unannounced, trying to have a
- 23:59Speaker 2: relationship with me because the only relationships my grandfather has
- 24:04Speaker 2: are the ones he has with the children he has
- 24:08Speaker 2: brought into this world, his Republican children. He doesn't have
- 24:12Speaker 2: any friends. The only people he has in his life
- 24:16Speaker 2: is his Republican blood family. And he's having such a
- 24:19Speaker 2: bad time with them that he's trying to have a
- 24:21Speaker 2: relationship with me, an anti-capitalist.
- 24:24Speaker 4: Weren't you just crying about being alone and you have
- 24:26Speaker 4: the audacity to make fun of your grandpa for that?
- 24:29Speaker 4: By the way, just for context, if you go back
- 24:31Speaker 4: to some of the screenshots that I showed earlier, you
- 24:34Speaker 4: can see that his wife just died two years ago,
- 24:37Speaker 4: which is pretty recent if you're in your 80s. So
- 24:39Speaker 4: she's saying all this stuff and making fun of him
- 24:41Speaker 4: knowing this. Gee, Raven, I can see why people don't
- 24:44Speaker 4: want to be around you. If Grandpa has a will,
- 24:47Speaker 4: I hope he writes you out of it.
- 24:49Speaker 5: Wait, isn't she.
- 24:50Speaker 4: Supposed to not have a phone or phone services? How
- 24:52Speaker 4: is he blowing up your phone? Again, I will say
- 24:55Speaker 4: that Raven is an unreliable narrator, so when she says
- 24:58Speaker 4: that Grandpa was blowing up her phone, what actually happened
- 25:01Speaker 4: is that he texted her a couple of times over
- 25:03Speaker 4: multiple days, possibly almost a week. And looking at these messages,
- 25:07Speaker 4: it looks like he's double texting her because he's trying
- 25:09Speaker 4: to pick up some items from her for a birthday
- 25:11Speaker 4: or something. But Raven couldn't answer because she was busy
- 25:14Speaker 4: having a seven-hour meltdown in the bathroom.
- 25:17Speaker 2: Yesterday, I had a meltdown in the bathroom from about
- 25:20Speaker 2: 5 o'clock to 12 o'clock at night, like crying, having
- 25:23Speaker 2: a meltdown, not having a good time. So I never
- 25:26Speaker 2: even saw his little, is it possible for me to
- 25:29Speaker 2: stop by tomorrow around 11?
- 25:31Speaker 7: But yeah, my whole.
- 25:32Speaker 2: Point of this is that when you give an abuser
- 25:35Speaker 2: an inch, they'll take a mile. And I was supposed
- 25:37Speaker 2: to be referring to this, but he actually just invited
- 25:39Speaker 2: himself over to my fucking house.
- 25:41Speaker 4: Wait, prior issues with hard drugs? Spending like half the
- 25:44Speaker 4: day in the bathroom and not responding to messages? Are
- 25:47Speaker 4: you using hard drugs again? Is this meltdown narrative just
- 25:50Speaker 4: an excuse because seven hours in the bathroom sounds like
- 25:53Speaker 4: the behavior of someone who is high or passed out
- 25:55Speaker 4: on drugs? Like there's something that we're not being told here. Also,
- 25:58Speaker 4: as someone who is describing anxiety issues, do you really
- 26:01Speaker 4: think it's a smart idea to frequently smoke weed?
- 26:04Speaker 2: I can't even watch the interview video without shaking and crying.
- 26:09Speaker 2: It was so traumatizing and triggering. It was awful.
- 26:12Speaker 5: What the hell?
- 26:12Speaker 4: So you're saying that abusing your grandpa for an hour
- 26:15Speaker 4: was traumatizing for you? A guy who was just trying
- 26:17Speaker 4: to have lunch with his granddaughter during what might be
- 26:19Speaker 4: the last moments of his life? Meanwhile, she's out there
- 26:22Speaker 4: making the most ridiculous demands as a precondition for the relationship.
- 26:26Speaker 4: Didn't you say you were lonely? Honestly, you're lucky that
- 26:29Speaker 4: he wants to spend time with you after all of
- 26:31Speaker 4: your abusive behavior.
- 26:32Speaker 2: And he's told me multiple times, and I know it's
- 26:35Speaker 2: probably a huge lie because that's all he is capable
- 26:38Speaker 2: of doing is lying and telling me what I want
- 26:40Speaker 2: to hear. He's told me multiple times that he's willing
- 26:44Speaker 2: to stop talking to my anti-masking family and he's willing.
- 26:47Speaker 5: To wear a mask.
- 26:49Speaker 2: He told me last year he wouldn't vote.
- 26:51Speaker 7: What did he do?
- 26:52Speaker 2: He went and fucking voted away my basic human rights,
- 26:55Speaker 2: even though I've sat him down and showed him exactly
- 26:58Speaker 2: what he's voting for. He knows what he's voting for.
- 27:01Speaker 2: He knows he's voting away on my basic human rights.
- 27:04Speaker 2: And he doesn't care. And he doesn't think there's going
- 27:06Speaker 2: to be any consequences for his actions.
- 27:09Speaker 5: And there will be.
- 27:09Speaker 4: I can understand something like, hey, you need to get
- 27:12Speaker 4: off drugs as a precondition of a relationship. But saying
- 27:15Speaker 4: that you can't vote and you must disown anyone in
- 27:17Speaker 4: the family who won't wear a mask in 2025 is insane.
- 27:20Speaker 4: This is what I was talking about with how often
- 27:22Speaker 4: these nutjobs will actually try to break the whole family
- 27:25Speaker 4: apart by forcing people to pick sides. It's important to
- 27:28Speaker 4: not cave into the demands of people like Raven because
- 27:30Speaker 4: it will just encourage them to create more ridiculous rules.
- 27:33Speaker 4: But let's talk about the masking thing because I've been
- 27:35Speaker 4: waiting the whole video to bring it up. Let's hear
- 27:37Speaker 4: why she still wears one in 2025. The mask alone.
- 27:41Speaker 2: I don't care how many of you bully me and comment, oh,
- 27:45Speaker 2: I already knew where this was going to go the
- 27:47Speaker 2: second I saw the mask and the purple hair. I
- 27:49Speaker 2: don't care. I haven't gotten COVID not once. I've been
- 27:52Speaker 2: sick once since 2020. Social distancing and masking works, whether
- 27:57Speaker 2: you guys like it or not. The science is out
- 27:59Speaker 2: there to prove it too, but we already know you
- 28:01Speaker 2: guys don't believe in that.
- 28:02Speaker 4: Well, I think the reason that you haven't gotten sick
- 28:04Speaker 4: more than once is more so because you don't have
- 28:06Speaker 4: a job or friends, so you don't have a lot
- 28:08Speaker 4: of exposure to other people. Masking largely doesn't do anything
- 28:12Speaker 4: because everyone handles them incorrectly, or doesn't have the correct mask,
- 28:15Speaker 4: or uses the mask past its expiration date. Her being
- 28:19Speaker 4: afraid of COVID is ridiculous. She's 24, which means she's
- 28:22Speaker 4: in the lowest risk category. Having a few sniffles isn't
- 28:25Speaker 4: the worst thing in the world, and it's good for
- 28:27Speaker 4: your immune system. But don't tell her that because she'll
- 28:30Speaker 4: treat you like you're the devil if you dare cough
- 28:32Speaker 4: around her.
- 28:33Speaker 2: But yeah, my grandpa's like in the room with me,
- 28:35Speaker 2: and not only that, he's coughing up a storm, even
- 28:37Speaker 2: though I asked him to reschedule with me if he
- 28:40Speaker 2: had any symptoms of being sick or if he had
- 28:42Speaker 2: been around anybody that was sick. He told me and
- 28:45Speaker 2: looked me in the face and said, I need to
- 28:46Speaker 2: get over being sick.
- 28:48Speaker 1: And that alone.
- 28:49Speaker 2: I'm not having a relationship with him. That was really
- 28:52Speaker 2: my deciding factor. He doesn't care if I get COVID
- 28:55Speaker 2: and die. Obviously, I can't have a relationship with somebody
- 29:00Speaker 2: that believes that.
- 29:01Speaker 5: This should be embarrassing.
- 29:02Speaker 4: An 82-year-old man who actually does have a risk of
- 29:05Speaker 4: severe consequences from COVID is taking that cold like a champ. Meanwhile,
- 29:09Speaker 4: you're cowering in fear over it. Again, if you have
- 29:12Speaker 4: this much of a problem with anxiety, should you really
- 29:15Speaker 4: be smoking weed? Well, honestly, I don't actually think the
- 29:18Speaker 4: masking thing is about fear of getting sick. I think
- 29:20Speaker 4: she just uses it as an excuse to not get
- 29:22Speaker 4: a job or to control those around her, which is
- 29:24Speaker 4: why she creates this moral philosophy about how she's the
- 29:27Speaker 4: most caring and empathetic person in the world because she
- 29:30Speaker 4: wears a mask.
- 29:31Speaker 2: Again, I mask because I care, because I love everybody.
- 29:34Speaker 2: I want to protect myself and I want to protect you.
- 29:37Speaker 5: Well, clearly you don't love Grandpa.
- 29:39Speaker 4: He just sounds like he's a means to an end
- 29:41Speaker 4: for you when you need to vomit out your frustrations
- 29:43Speaker 4: about life or when you need money.
- 29:45Speaker 2: About a month after me and my fiance got engaged, they,
- 29:49Speaker 2: their job shut down and they became unemployed. And we
- 29:53Speaker 2: had a $ 400 car emergency and My partner could not
- 29:57Speaker 2: afford to pay. We had to call my grandpa and
- 30:00Speaker 2: have him help us with the cost of the car.
- 30:03Speaker 4: Obviously, she doesn't appreciate this favor at all, and it
- 30:06Speaker 4: sounds like that when she said unconditional love earlier, what
- 30:09Speaker 4: she actually meant was, you will love me even if
- 30:12Speaker 4: I abuse you. That's not love, and I bring this
- 30:14Speaker 4: up because demanding unconditional love seems to be a common
- 30:18Speaker 4: tactic that abusers use. Someone demanding that in a relationship
- 30:22Speaker 4: is a red flag for me. And I say it's
- 30:24Speaker 4: a red flag because love is very often about giving
- 30:26Speaker 4: people what they need and not what they say they want.
- 30:29Speaker 4: And when you give them what they need, they will
- 30:31Speaker 4: often not like you. I think Grandpa Frank is just
- 30:34Speaker 4: putting up with the outlandish behavior from Raven because he
- 30:37Speaker 4: doesn't know how to handle it. In reality, he needs
- 30:39Speaker 4: to learn how to tell her no, let her screw
- 30:41Speaker 4: up her life if she continues to make bad decisions,
- 30:44Speaker 4: let her fix her own problems, let her fix her
- 30:46Speaker 4: own car, and refuse to be around her if she
- 30:49Speaker 4: behaves abusively. That is the only thing that will convince
- 30:52Speaker 4: her to change. She needs to suffer, and the more
- 30:54Speaker 4: he prevents her from suffering, the more she will treat
- 30:57Speaker 4: him like shit. Recently, a YouTuber who goes by Razerfist
- 31:01Speaker 4: recommended an excellent book on this topic called Stop Walking
- 31:04Speaker 4: on Eggshells, and it's about borderline personality disorder. It's a
- 31:08Speaker 4: short book, and I think it's relevant to the topic
- 31:10Speaker 4: at hand, because Raven presents a lot of borderline behavior.
- 31:14Speaker 4: I'm not a therapist, but she needs to get a
- 31:16Speaker 4: professional diagnosis for her behavior so she can learn to
- 31:19Speaker 4: manage it instead of letting it ruin her life.
- 31:21Speaker 5: As for everyone else.
- 31:22Speaker 4: In order to live a happy life and carry out
- 31:24Speaker 4: good relationships, it's important to learn how to identify disordered
- 31:27Speaker 4: mental behavior, so you can do what the book Stop
- 31:30Speaker 4: Walking on Eggshells recommends, which is to run. And I'm
- 31:33Speaker 4: not joking when I say run or leave. You are
- 31:36Speaker 4: not qualified to treat or fix a person with borderline
- 31:38Speaker 4: personality disorder, and getting emotionally entangled with someone like that
- 31:42Speaker 4: will bring you a lot of personal and possibly dangerous hardship.
- 31:46Speaker 4: The only exception would be if the person with BPD
- 31:48Speaker 4: has already undergone years of treatment and can show you
- 31:51Speaker 4: that they know how to manage their behaviors. However, you
- 31:54Speaker 4: need to take care of your needs first, and their
- 31:56Speaker 4: mental health treatment is not your responsibility. Making it your
- 31:59Speaker 4: responsibility will only make them more sick. Now certainly, not
- 32:03Speaker 4: everybody around someone with a borderline personality can just leave
- 32:06Speaker 4: like it's a bad first date. Some people, like Grandpa Frank,
- 32:09Speaker 4: are far more entangled, and for that, Stop Walking on
- 32:12Speaker 4: Eggshells has some great recommendations. but they will only work
- 32:16Speaker 4: if you're willing to leave and if you're willing to
- 32:17Speaker 4: let the person with BPD suffer the consequences of their
- 32:20Speaker 4: bad decisions. Anyway, thanks for watching, follow me on Twitter,
- 32:24Speaker 4: and I'll see you in the next video.
