- 4:32Speaker 3: it's Moonlight.
- 4:33Speaker 2: He says here.

- 5:30Speaker 1: is his very best movie.
- 5:31Speaker 4: I would, well, what about that one where the guy
- 5:34Speaker 4: drives the lawnmower across the nation?
- 5:36Speaker 2: Lawnmower Man. No, it's called like the Long Ride something
- 5:42Speaker 2: like that.
- 5:43Speaker 1: Uh, and the number one. This is interesting. Parasite the
- 5:51Speaker 1: best movie.
- 5:52Speaker 2: I was gonna say it was good. I don't know
- 5:53Speaker 2: if i'd go number one.
- 5:55Speaker 1: There are a lot of people, a lot of people,
- 5:57Speaker 1: I know, you know, a lot of critics just loved it.
- 6:01Speaker 2: It was good, But I wouldn't said.
- 6:03Speaker 1: When the movie opened in the United States, Bong was
- 6:06Speaker 1: a favorite in the art house circuit. By the time
- 6:08Speaker 1: it closed, he had a fist full of Oscars, including
- 6:11Speaker 1: Best Picture in the World, had a new Superstar.
- 6:15Speaker 2: So who voted for that one?
- 6:16Speaker 1: Well, they give Julianne Moore as an example of somebody
- 6:19Speaker 1: else voted what a dallassy?
- 6:21Speaker 2: What else did Julianne Moore vote for?
- 6:24Speaker 1: She voted for a Moore black Swan. So they just
- 6:32Speaker 1: they're showing the movie posters. So it's kind of hard. Yeah,
- 6:34Speaker 1: lost in translation. Parasite, The Phantom Thread, super bad. She
- 6:41Speaker 1: voted for forty year old virgin I don't know what
- 6:46Speaker 1: that one is. I can't read that one. Oh it's
- 6:50Speaker 1: that ex Machina she voted for. Okay, so there you go.
- 6:55Speaker 4: Well, Bottle Shock, Alan Rickman Chris Pine about the rise
- 6:59Speaker 4: of California wines.
- 7:02Speaker 2: I know, I don't remember that. I don't remember that one.
- 7:05Speaker 2: I don't Uh. Yeah, And straight Story is the lawnmower movie.
- 7:08Speaker 2: Straight Story, right, Well, that guy won and died. Was
- 7:13Speaker 2: anchorman on that list, Yes, yes, because it was back
- 7:16Speaker 2: in the forties or something like that. Good.
- 7:20Speaker 5: I drink your milkshake, I drink it up.
- 7:29Speaker 1: There's never there's never a moment with the with the
- 7:34Speaker 1: Daniel day Lewis where you're you know where you're gonna
- 7:38Speaker 1: look away.
- 7:39Speaker 4: Halfway and here's everybody crepts on Gangs of New York.
- 7:43Speaker 2: It's not a great movie. He was brilliant at it, yeah,
- 7:46Speaker 2: and you know.
- 7:47Speaker 1: And and a lot of the gang stuff was good. Unfortunately,
- 7:50Speaker 1: it was a terrible love story with and Cat DiCaprio.
- 7:54Speaker 1: DiCaprio as well, and that whole thing around it was terrible.
- 7:57Speaker 1: The final scenes of the movie were right with the
- 8:01Speaker 1: big gang battle in New York. And yeah, and Daniel
- 8:05Speaker 1: day Lewis has butcher bill had an American flag tattooed
- 8:10Speaker 1: on his eyeball.
- 8:14Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean just about any time he's on screen up,
- 8:18Speaker 4: you just you can't look away.
- 8:19Speaker 2: But I didn't go see fandom thread, I see I have.
- 8:23Speaker 3: Seen that and I don't know why I bothered with it.
- 8:27Speaker 2: Yeah, well, you didn't like one battle after another. Reason.
- 8:29Speaker 2: I didn't say that.
- 8:31Speaker 3: I didn't say I didn't like it. I said it
- 8:35Speaker 3: wasn't my favorite movie of the year, and it was.
- 8:38Speaker 2: Again some of the themes.
- 8:39Speaker 3: Were difficult to watch.
- 8:41Speaker 4: The actress from that, Tiana Taylor, Janna Taylor is going
- 8:45Speaker 4: to be on the hosting Saturday Night Live.
- 8:47Speaker 3: And I saw that.
- 8:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:48Speaker 1: Now that's the young one, the revolutionary.
- 8:56Speaker 2: Uh yeah, but the.
- 8:58Speaker 3: Chase Infinity, the daughter. She's been talked up as she's
- 9:02Speaker 3: nominated for stuff too.
- 9:03Speaker 2: She's quite good.
- 9:04Speaker 4: She's got work already, She's got many jobs lined up.
- 9:07Speaker 1: I guess people are really divided on this Timothy Challome.
- 9:11Speaker 2: Movie, Marty Supreme, Marty.
- 9:12Speaker 1: Supreme, Like all the critics seem to love it, and
- 9:16Speaker 1: then but then people go see it and they.
- 9:17Speaker 5: Go, well, those people are so unlikable. Yeah, they're unlikable. Yeah,
- 9:24Speaker 5: that doesn't bother me. As difficult themes don't bother me either,
- 9:28Speaker 5: Yeah exactly. Uh yeah, Rebecca thought it was great.
- 9:31Speaker 4: She put it in her that's what's it called, Marty Supreme? Yeah,
- 9:37Speaker 4: all right, now that's people want to know where that
- 9:39Speaker 4: list is New York Times.
- 9:40Speaker 1: It just yeah, look, just search the New York Times.
- 9:43Speaker 1: And I don't know when it came out. It's been
- 9:45Speaker 1: a while.
- 9:45Speaker 2: One hundred best movies of the twenty first century, first century.
- 9:49Speaker 2: You could google that. You can find it.
- 9:53Speaker 3: And then argue amongst yourselves about what should be on
- 9:56Speaker 3: the list and isn't and should be higher and should
- 9:58Speaker 3: be low.
- 9:59Speaker 1: It's interesting they did let me find that really quick.
- 10:03Speaker 1: They did a bunch of other ones too. Uh so
- 10:07Speaker 1: if you have that list, but then you have at
- 10:11Speaker 1: the end of the whole list they've they've done other
- 10:15Speaker 1: lists that they put together that are similar, which is
- 10:18Speaker 1: which are fascinating like.
- 10:22Speaker 2: These they have. Oh I can't find it now, My
- 10:27Speaker 2: damn it.
- 10:28Speaker 4: My DVR was supposed to get movies on pbs A
- 10:32Speaker 4: Movies in Utah, but it accidentally grabbed American Masters Dick
- 10:38Speaker 4: Van Dyke and we watched that last time.
- 10:41Speaker 2: It was very good. I didn't realize how important.
- 10:44Speaker 4: I mean, I always knew he was important, but I
- 10:46Speaker 4: didn't realize how important he was. And just I mean,
- 10:50Speaker 4: just for Mary Poppins and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang alone,
- 10:54Speaker 4: you know, you could you could take away the rest
- 10:57Speaker 4: of the stuff and just go like that. But very
- 11:00Speaker 4: important performer through the years. And but the drawback is
- 11:04Speaker 4: that you wouldn't have Jim Carrey if not for Dick
- 11:06Speaker 4: Van Dyke.
- 11:06Speaker 2: It's true, that's the drawback.
- 11:09Speaker 3: Rack you can blame Dick Van Dyke for Jim Carrey.
- 11:12Speaker 2: Is that where you're going?
- 11:13Speaker 4: Because Jim Carrey was heavily influenced by Dick van the Physical,
- 11:17Speaker 4: Physical comedy
