Speaker 1: The voice of free speech. The truth delivered. Common sense
• 0:07
Speaker 1: for the American people. Welcome to the Scott Jennings Show.
• 0:13
Speaker 2: Hey, it's Scott Jennings. Thanks for listening to Common Sense
• 0:15
Speaker 2: for the American People. I'm away today, but you are
• 0:18
Speaker 2: in the capable hands of one Mr. Carl Jackson, the
• 0:21
Speaker 2: pride of Orlando, Florida. Carl, take it away.
• 0:26
Speaker 3: All right, welcome to the Scott Jennings Show. I am
• 0:28
Speaker 3: your guest host, Carl Jackson, sitting in for the great
• 0:30
Speaker 3: Scott Jennings. We've got so much to talk about. France
• 0:33
Speaker 3: is on fire. It's coming to a United States city
• 0:36
Speaker 3: near you. We're going to discuss that, the Democrat Socialists.
• 0:39
Speaker 4: Of America, what they want to do.
• 0:41
Speaker 3: They're already punking Hakeem Jeffries. assuming that they are going
• 0:45
Speaker 3: to take control of the House. The only way we'll
• 0:49
Speaker 3: know whether or not Democrats will take control of the
• 0:52
Speaker 3: House is if Republicans lose on Election Day. This is
• 0:56
Speaker 3: one of the most important midterms of your life, if
• 0:59
Speaker 3: not the most important midterms of your life. I know
• 1:02
Speaker 3: there's affordability issue. I've argued before and I'll argue again today.
• 1:06
Speaker 3: The Democrats have no intention of making life more affordable
• 1:09
Speaker 3: for you. But unfortunately, you have a lot of voters
• 1:12
Speaker 3: out there that believe the exact opposite. You have a
• 1:15
Speaker 3: lot of voters. I'm going to have to go back
• 1:16
Speaker 3: in history just a little bit. You guys may or
• 1:19
Speaker 3: may not remember. And I'm sure if you're listening to
• 1:21
Speaker 3: Scott Jennings, Scott Jennings has been around for a while
• 1:24
Speaker 3: and in the trenches. I'm sure you guys remember that.
• 1:28
Speaker 3: A man by the name of Barack Obama, former President
• 1:31
Speaker 3: Barack Obama. And there was a point in time under
• 1:34
Speaker 3: the Obama administration where they decided, hey, listen, you know what?
• 1:37
Speaker 3: We're not going to chase after the white working class
• 1:40
Speaker 3: voters anymore. Instead, what we're going to do is bring
• 1:43
Speaker 3: in a new a new constituent of voters.
• 1:47
Speaker 4: We're going to go after Obama.
• 1:49
Speaker 3: The brown-skinned people were going to go after Latinos, blacks,
• 1:51
Speaker 3: and more minorities, so on, etc. We're going to go
• 1:54
Speaker 3: after the college-aged. We're going to go after the white
• 1:57
Speaker 3: liberal females on college campuses, so on, etc. And they
• 2:00
Speaker 3: were kicking the white working-class voters to the side. These
• 2:03
Speaker 3: were the former, if you will, Reagan Democrats, but were
• 2:09
Speaker 3: decidedly still Democrat, voted for Barack Obama, or fell for
• 2:14
Speaker 3: the hope and change, and then basically got screwed. Well,
• 2:17
Speaker 3: a lot of these people... or their posterity are Trump voters.
• 2:24
Speaker 3: Many of those people came over and voted for Trump
• 2:27
Speaker 3: because we'd never seen anything like them in our lifetime.
• 2:31
Speaker 3: And so many of these people decidedly voted for Trump.
• 2:33
Speaker 3: And now you're getting a fight in some swing states.
• 2:37
Speaker 3: I was reading an article in the Wall Street Journal
• 2:40
Speaker 3: where there's a candidate, and forgive me, I forget his
• 2:43
Speaker 3: name at this particular moment, but a candidate that's fighting Trump.
• 2:48
Speaker 3: in Pennsylvania, and he's hoping to keep his house seat.
• 2:51
  Speaker 3: If I recall correctly, I believe it's District 7, if
• 2:56
  Speaker 3: I recall.
• 2:58
Speaker 4: Let me try to look this up.
• 3:00
  Speaker 3: I believe it's District 7, if I recall correctly, inside
• 3:04
Speaker 3: of Pennsylvania. Okay, here it is. Let me pull it up.
• 3:11
Speaker 3: It was on Real Clear Politics. But anyway, so you
• 3:14
Speaker 3: have two candidates battling out, one obviously Republican, another candidate
• 3:18
  Speaker 3: is obviously Democrat.
• 3:19
Speaker 4: And then you have a.
• 3:21
Speaker 3: Lot of voters that are upset because they're like, hey,
• 3:23
Speaker 3: we voted for MAGA, we voted for Trump. And things
• 3:26
Speaker 3: are not affordable right now. Things are hurting us. Prices
• 3:29
Speaker 3: are hurting us. Gas prices are hurting us. The price
• 3:31
Speaker 3: of beef, so on, et cetera. These things are hurting us.
• 3:35
Speaker 3: And this is something that Republicans are going to have
• 3:38
Speaker 3: to deal with and be mindful of. Because remember, there
• 3:41
Speaker 3: are a lot of voters out there that decidedly voted
• 3:44
Speaker 3: Republican because they said, listen, I'll say it this way.
• 3:47
Speaker 3: And I don't mean to be harsh, but some of
• 3:49
Speaker 3: these people tend to be fickle. And so you're going
• 3:52
Speaker 3: to have to make the case that, hey, listen, Trump
• 3:55
  Speaker 3: isn't just a Trump isn't just a guy promising like
• 3:58
Speaker 3: the Obama, like former President Obama promised to make your
• 4:02
Speaker 3: life better. That was a bunch of left wing garbage, basically. Hey,
• 4:06
Speaker 3: we're going to, you know, health care for all this
• 4:08
Speaker 3: kind of stuff. We we well, many and during my
• 4:12
Speaker 3: time fell for what I didn't, but many on the
• 4:14
Speaker 3: left and some in the middle. fell for Obamacare. Hey,
• 4:18
Speaker 3: life is unaffordable. We heard this stuff back then. They
• 4:20
Speaker 3: were demonizing millionaires, right? And they were demonizing major corporations.
• 4:24
Speaker 3: Now the left is demonizing billionaires and they're demonizing major
• 4:29
Speaker 3: corporations still. But as a result of this, Barack Obama
• 4:34
Speaker 3: won the white working class. And obviously, it was a
• 4:38
Speaker 3: historical election. I think a lot of people voted for
• 4:40
Speaker 3: him because they were like, we want to get past
• 4:41
Speaker 3: this racism crap, right? This is over. This guy is
• 4:44
Speaker 3: going to bring hope and change. This guy happens to
• 4:46
Speaker 3: be a black guy. He's going to make the economy better.
• 4:48
Speaker 3: He's going to bring Americans together. Nothing of the sort
• 4:51
Speaker 3: was true. And as a matter of fact, Obama never
• 4:54
Speaker 3: intended to do any of that. What he wanted to
• 4:56
Speaker 3: do was fundamentally transform America. And sadly, what we're watching
• 4:59
Speaker 3: now is just the continuation of the Obama administration of sorts. Yes,
• 5:05
Speaker 3: we we went through a crazy period of time during
• 5:09
Speaker 3: the Biden administration. But I would even argue that that
• 5:11
Speaker 3: was impossible without the Obama administration.
• 5:14
Speaker 4: And now what you're seeing, frankly.
• 5:18
Speaker 3: And the DSA is just a continuation, in my opinion,
• 5:22
Speaker 3: of what Obama was offering back then, a bunch of
• 5:24
Speaker 3: hope and change in the hopes of transforming America. And
• 5:28
Speaker 3: he started the– how would I put this? He started
• 5:32
Speaker 3: the building blocks of socialism right here in America. He
• 5:37
Speaker 3: got rid of private health care. There's a lot of
• 5:40
Speaker 3: people today, a lot of youngins that are saying, man,
• 5:42
Speaker 3: life is tough. Housing is just– housing is unaffordable. Nonetheless,
• 5:48
Speaker 3: they'll vote for Democrats and a bunch of illegals will
• 5:50
Speaker 3: come into the country and, you know, just cause your
• 5:53
Speaker 3: your your insurance and your insurance rates to go up.
• 5:56
Speaker 3: As far as cars are concerned, cause your rental, the
• 5:59
Speaker 3: rental markets or your rent prices to increase because you're
• 6:02
Speaker 3: competing with illegals. But you love the left and you
• 6:06
Speaker 3: think they're kind and all this kind of stuff. We
• 6:08
Speaker 3: fell for this stuff before. It is fascinating to me.
• 6:12
Speaker 3: The more that I look at what's happening today, I'm like,
• 6:16
Speaker 3: oh my goodness, if I could have just looked through
• 6:18
Speaker 3: a telescopic lens of some sort, looking into the future,
• 6:24
Speaker 3: what Obama laid the foundation for is exactly what would
• 6:28
Speaker 3: be happening today. We're going to talk about the France riots.
• 6:32
Speaker 3: I want to talk about this Pennsylvania thing. Let me
• 6:34
Speaker 3: just say it. Let me read some of this, if
• 6:35
Speaker 3: you don't mind. This is from the Wall Street Journal.
• 6:38
Speaker 3: Two years ago, working class voters' anger over the high
• 6:42
Speaker 3: cost of living helped carry Republican Ryan McKenzie into Congress
• 6:45
Speaker 3: by a 1% margin. Now, those same pocketbook issues threaten
• 6:49
Speaker 3: to unseat the freshman incumbent who is fighting for his
• 6:52
Speaker 3: political survival in a swing district. McKenzie is 44 years old.
• 6:56
Speaker 3: He hopes to persuade voters to give him another term
• 6:59
Speaker 3: by touting results he has delivered and attacking his Democratic opponent.
• 7:03
Speaker 3: He is also keeping close ties to President Trump, whose
• 7:06
Speaker 3: falling statewide approval ratings contrast with pockets of deep support
• 7:10
Speaker 3: in the 7th Congressional District. So I was right on that.
• 7:14
Speaker 3: Which Trump won in 2024. The race is one test
• 7:17
Speaker 3: of whether Republicans can hold on to the white working
• 7:20
Speaker 3: class voters who flock to the party here and nationally.
• 7:25
Speaker 3: After Trump's first run in 2016, some 45% of district
• 7:30
Speaker 3: residents 25 and older fall into this category defined by
• 7:34
Speaker 3: those without a four-year college degree. And Democrats are betting
• 7:38
Speaker 3: that higher prices will pry them loose. Now, again, before
• 7:43
Speaker 3: I go on, again, I just want to remind you
• 7:45
Speaker 3: that we've seen this before. These are the very voters
• 7:49
Speaker 3: that Obama kicked to the side. He kicked to the curb.
• 7:53
Speaker 3: The Democrat Party kicked to the curb. The Democrat Party
• 7:56
Speaker 3: has said you guys are a bunch of racist hillbillies.
• 7:59
Speaker 3: If you're not black, if you're not Latino, if you're
• 8:01
Speaker 3: not brown, so on, et cetera. But now, as soon
• 8:04
Speaker 3: as prices rise a little bit and I would argue
• 8:06
Speaker 3: because of the Iran war, I think things were going
• 8:09
Speaker 3: swimmingly before that. And frankly, I'm for the Iran war,
• 8:13
Speaker 3: but I don't don't think we can deny the facts.
• 8:16
Speaker 3: that it's raised the cost of things, including fuel, including
• 8:20
Speaker 3: the price of diesel fuel. We'll get into that a
• 8:23
Speaker 3: little later on in the program with the guests we have,
• 8:26
Speaker 3: I believe, at the bottom of the hour. So we'll
• 8:28
Speaker 3: get to that momentarily. We'll talk about Russia, Ukraine, et cetera.
• 8:31
Speaker 3: So you guys stay tuned for that. But what I'm
• 8:34
Speaker 3: telling you now is that Democrats don't have any intention
• 8:39
Speaker 3: on making life more affordable. What they intend to do
• 8:42
Speaker 3: is to fundamentally transform America. There was an article And
• 8:46
Speaker 3: the daily signal that said just as much. And I
• 8:49
Speaker 3: will get to that momentarily. So for those of you
• 8:51
Speaker 3: that are out there, you happen to be maybe you're
• 8:54
Speaker 3: part of this little working class voter. You're a working
• 8:57
Speaker 3: class voter, whether you're white, whether you're black, Latino, whatever.
• 9:01
  Speaker 4: It doesn't matter.
• 9:02
Speaker 3: And you're buying into this notion that the Democrats are
• 9:04
Speaker 3: going to come in and they want to make life easier.
• 9:06
Speaker 3: easier for you. They want to make life better for you.
• 9:09
Speaker 3: The billionaires are bad. The major corporations are bad, or
• 9:13
Speaker 3: at least that's what they're telling you. They can give
• 9:16
Speaker 3: you healthcare for all. They can take care of your needs.
• 9:18
Speaker 3: The problem is you're going to run out of money
• 9:21
Speaker 3: from the billionaires, and who's going to be stuck with
• 9:23
Speaker 3: the bill? See, this is what we're finding out. I
• 9:26
Speaker 3: remember when Obamacare... put businesses on the fence. They had
• 9:31
Speaker 3: to decide what full time meant. So instead, I believe
• 9:34
Speaker 3: Barack Obama said they have to pay employees like all
• 9:38
Speaker 3: of these full time wages and give them benefits at
• 9:41
Speaker 3: 30 something hours worth of work.
• 9:44
  Speaker 4: And then the.
• 9:44
Speaker 3: Corporation said, OK, adios, no more full time employees.
• 9:47
  Speaker 4: We'll be back.
• 9:48
Speaker 5: Common sense for the American people. This is the Scott
• 9:51
  Speaker 5: Jennings show.

• 10:30
Speaker 3: Lou's got my back here in studio. Sean McConnell is
• 10:33
Speaker 3: in my ear. Brian producing the program. Rick Lowkey helping
• 10:36
Speaker 3: out in studio. Not exactly sure who's on the lines,
• 10:39
Speaker 3: but thank you very much. but I appreciate all of
• 10:42
Speaker 3: them as I appreciate all of you sitting in the audience.
• 10:46
Speaker 3: So I was talking about, and we're going to get
• 10:48
Speaker 3: into the Muslim Brotherhood and El-Sayed.
• 10:50
Speaker 4: I want to get into the French riots.
• 10:52
Speaker 3: Ilhan Omar could possibly be deported or denaturalized. I'll tell
• 10:57
Speaker 3: you why I'm happy with either one. Quite frankly, we'll
• 11:01
Speaker 3: get into that. Again, we're talking about affordability and we'll
• 11:04
Speaker 3: dive into more of this after we have our guest on.
• 11:09
Speaker 3: We're going to be having Cameron Arcon, senior White House
• 11:12
Speaker 3: correspondent at townhall.com. He's going to be joining us at
• 11:16
Speaker 3: the bottom of the hour. We'll be talking about Russia, Russia, Ukraine,
• 11:20
Speaker 3: Iran as well. And Ukraine is how Ukraine is remaining
• 11:26
Speaker 3: dependent on America's intelligence. So we'll talk about all of that.
• 11:30
Speaker 3: So stay tuned for that. That's coming up at the
• 11:32
Speaker 3: bottom of the hour. But let me just get back
• 11:34
Speaker 3: to this affordability, affordability issue.
• 11:37
  Speaker 4: So now.
• 11:38
Speaker 3: You have all of these people on the left and
• 11:40
Speaker 3: in the Democrat Party pretending they're going to make your
• 11:42
Speaker 3: life better, pretending they're going to make life more affordable
• 11:46
  Speaker 3: for you.
• 11:47
  Speaker 7: Mr.
• 11:48
Speaker 3: McConnell and the team looked it up for me during
• 11:50
Speaker 3: the break, and I was wondering how many hours under
• 11:53
Speaker 3: Obamacare or the Affordable Care Act you or corporations had
• 11:59
Speaker 3: to consider, how many hours you had to work in
• 12:02
Speaker 3: order to be considered full-time. At the time, it was
• 12:05
Speaker 3: 40 hours per week. The Obama administration under the Affordable
• 12:09
Speaker 3: Care Act or Obamacare took it down to 30 hours
• 12:12
Speaker 3: per week. So corporations had to consider employees that worked
• 12:16
Speaker 3: 30 hours per week as full time. Up to that point,
• 12:20
Speaker 3: you could literally work 39 hours per week and you
• 12:22
Speaker 3: could be considered full time. So what happened is. People
• 12:27
Speaker 3: were cut. Their hours were cut. People were people that
• 12:30
  Speaker 3: were working 39 hours, maybe 35, 36 hours. If I
• 12:34
Speaker 3: recall correctly, that was about I worked a couple of
• 12:37
Speaker 3: jobs back then. And that was about the time frame.
• 12:39
Speaker 3: Many people worked full part time. It was 32 hours.
• 12:43
Speaker 3: Maybe sometimes they go up to 35, 36 hours.
• 12:46
  Speaker 4: Or whatever.
• 12:47
Speaker 3: But then once that kicked in, then they got kicked
• 12:50
Speaker 3: back to 29 hours because these businesses had to make
• 12:53
Speaker 3: a determination. Do we fire these people outright? Do we
• 12:58
Speaker 3: fire them outright or do we just cut their hours
• 13:01
Speaker 3: and they have to be happy under this new Affordable
• 13:04
  Speaker 3: Care Act that.
• 13:05
  Speaker 4: They have anything?
• 13:07
Speaker 3: And a lot of people today, a lot of youngsters
• 13:09
Speaker 3: that are living today don't remember that because I look
• 13:12
Speaker 3: at what I see now and what I hear now online, video,
• 13:16
Speaker 3: so on, et cetera, and it is the same arguments.
• 13:19
Speaker 3: They demonize the same people. Well, the demonization of the
• 13:22
Speaker 3: Jews right now is out of this world insane. So
• 13:25
Speaker 3: we didn't see that, at least not as bad, in
• 13:27
Speaker 3: America back then. But the demonization of corporations, the demonization
• 13:32
Speaker 3: of millionaires until Bernie Sanders became a millionaire, and then
• 13:35
Speaker 3: it became the demonization of billionaires. And so now they
• 13:38
Speaker 3: demonize billionaires. Getting back to this story, the Wall Street Journal,
• 13:43
Speaker 3: it's funny to see how all of this stuff is
• 13:45
Speaker 3: playing out. And what's frustrating to me is how many
• 13:47
Speaker 3: people are falling for this nonsense because what we're witnessing,
• 13:52
Speaker 3: I just wrote a theme here, the fundamental transformation of
• 13:56
Speaker 3: the West. The left, Barack Obama wanted to fundamentally transform America.
• 14:01
Speaker 3: The DSA wants to fundamentally transform America. But what leftists
• 14:08
Speaker 3: and what the Islamists want to do is fundamentally transform
• 14:10
Speaker 3: the West. And unfortunately, that's what's happening. This is when
• 14:17
Speaker 3: you're concerned about everyday issues and you should be as
• 14:19
Speaker 3: a voter. I get it. I absolutely get it. It
• 14:24
Speaker 3: is hard to look. If we're if we're saying the
• 14:26
Speaker 3: economy is perfect, it's not.
• 14:29
Speaker 4: It's not. All right.
• 14:30
Speaker 3: I hope Republicans will will stop lying about this to people.
• 14:34
Speaker 4: You can't do that.
• 14:35
Speaker 3: You can't look at people that are struggling and say, no,
• 14:38
Speaker 3: everything's good. I mean, and frankly, I'm guilty of doing
• 14:41
Speaker 3: that at times because, frankly, fundamentally, the underpinnings of the
• 14:45
Speaker 3: economy are way better than they were under the Biden administration.
• 14:49
Speaker 3: But I realize times are still tough. I just understand
• 14:52
Speaker 3: that the president of the United States is trying to
• 14:55
Speaker 3: make life better for Americans in the long term. And
• 14:59
Speaker 3: I think that message has not been communicated well. But
• 15:04
Speaker 3: the bottom line is you've got a bunch of voters
• 15:08
Speaker 3: out there that are going to vote for a bunch
• 15:09
Speaker 3: of liberals that have no intention of making your life easier.
• 15:15
Speaker 3: Name the piece of legislation that Democrats have offered to
• 15:19
Speaker 3: make gas lower. Or has it been them? Were they
• 15:22
Speaker 3: the ones that killed the Keystone Pipeline? Were they the
• 15:26
Speaker 3: ones that stopped drilling in Anwar? Are they the ones
• 15:29
Speaker 3: that hate fossil fuels? We got to wake up, guys.
• 15:32
Speaker 3: I'll be back with my guest.
• 15:33
Speaker 5: Straight talk without the bluster. When you positively need the truth,
• 15:37
Speaker 5: this is where you come. The Scott Jennings Show.
• 15:43
Speaker 4: All right, welcome back to the Scott Jennings Show.
• 15:45
Speaker 3: I am your guest host, Carl Jackson, sitting in for
• 15:47
Speaker 3: Scott Jennings. I'm joined by my guest, Cameron Arcand, senior
• 15:51
Speaker 3: correspondent at townhall.com. Welcome to the program. Thank you so
• 15:57
Speaker 3: much for joining us, Cameron. Really appreciate it.
• 15:59
  Speaker 7: Thank you.
• 16:03
Speaker 3: Okay, so it's obvious Americans are feeling the pinch at
• 16:09
Speaker 3: the gas pumps, particularly when it comes to diesel. I
• 16:12
Speaker 3: do think, frankly, what's going on in Russia and Ukraine
• 16:17
Speaker 3: obviously is playing a part. I believe that Iran is
• 16:20
Speaker 3: playing a bigger part. But I do want to get
• 16:23
Speaker 3: your take on this. President Trump has now confirmed that
• 16:27
Speaker 3: the U.S. is going to share intelligence with Ukraine. Again,
• 16:32
Speaker 3: what are your thoughts on that?
• 16:34
Speaker 7: Yeah, I'm not surprised to see it.
• 16:36
Speaker 8: I mean, at this point, the president wants to see
• 16:38
Speaker 8: an end to this conflict, which is why you're going
• 16:41
Speaker 8: to see a mix here of allowing them to continue
• 16:45
Speaker 8: using intelligence. But also you're going to see him maneuver
• 16:49
Speaker 8: when it comes to Vladimir Putin in the coming weeks,
• 16:51
Speaker 8: which has opened the door with the president to some
• 16:54
Speaker 8: more scrutiny in terms.
• 16:56
  Speaker 7: Of that relationship.
• 16:57
Speaker 8: You know, he's communicated a little more frequently with Putin
• 17:00
Speaker 8: in recent days and weeks. But, you know, he also
• 17:03
Speaker 8: met with Zelensky earlier this year multiple times. And I
• 17:08
Speaker 8: think the president is trying to find a way to
• 17:11
Speaker 8: hammer this out and get this wrapped up, which is
• 17:14
Speaker 8: why we're seeing such a broad range of different actions here.
• 17:20
Speaker 3: The president obviously has become increasingly more critical of Zelensky
• 17:24
Speaker 3: at one point in time. He was very critical. And
• 17:27
Speaker 3: then he seemed to be impressed by Zelensky, given the
• 17:30
Speaker 3: fact that, I mean, nobody expected Ukraine to be in
• 17:33
Speaker 3: the situation that they're in now. I mean, they have
• 17:36
Speaker 3: been I got to give them credit. You know, I
• 17:38
Speaker 3: was not a fan of Zelensky by any stretch of
• 17:41
Speaker 3: the imagination. But but frankly, he has led his country
• 17:45
Speaker 3: into battle with with Russia and. And he's been kicking
• 17:50
Speaker 3: he's been kicking some booty. But now President Trump seems
• 17:54
Speaker 3: to be a little frustrated with with him as a
• 17:58
Speaker 3: result of hitting some of these diesel refineries. But Putin
• 18:02
Speaker 3: hasn't let up. So I'm a little baffled by this.
• 18:05
Speaker 3: But what's your take on that?
• 18:07
Speaker 8: So what I'm thinking happened here was, you know, that
• 18:11
Speaker 8: diesel deal came right around the same time as special
• 18:15
Speaker 8: envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner arrived. met with some
• 18:18
Speaker 8: Ukrainian representatives down in Miami a couple of weeks ago. Now,
• 18:22
Speaker 8: Witkoff and Kushner have since spoken with Zelensky from over
• 18:25
Speaker 8: the weekend. I believe Axios said that that was the case.
• 18:28
Speaker 8: But when we talk about some of this and the
• 18:31
Speaker 8: frustration with Zelensky, something that the president said recently was that,
• 18:37
Speaker 8: you know, Zelensky doesn't seem to be interested in wanting
• 18:39
Speaker 8: to make a deal, at least from the president's perspective here.
• 18:43
Speaker 8: And it's also interesting, too, because Zelensky, There's also questions
• 18:48
Speaker 8: about what would a deal that Vladimir Putin would agree to,
• 18:52
Speaker 8: what would that entail, and would that be something that
• 18:54
Speaker 8: he would actually hold to be true? So there are
• 18:57
Speaker 8: a widespread range of concerns here. But what I'm curious
• 19:01
Speaker 8: about and what I think is really hinging on this
• 19:03
Speaker 8: is the status of those conversations with Wyckoff, Kushner, and Ukraine,
• 19:08
Speaker 8: as well as these kind of parallel conversations the president
• 19:11
Speaker 8: is having with Vladimir Putin, And could there be any
• 19:14
Speaker 8: sort of agreement reached? And what does compromise look like?
• 19:17
Speaker 8: And will any side settle for compromise?
• 19:22
Speaker 3: Well, let me let me ask you this. Do you
• 19:24
Speaker 3: think Putin I'm actually more concerned about Putin. Do you
• 19:27
Speaker 3: think that Putin would settle for any type of compromise
• 19:32
Speaker 3: except for making sure that he he he is given
• 19:36
Speaker 3: parts parts of Ukraine?
• 19:38
Speaker 4: Because I think he would end up assassinated.
• 19:42
Speaker 8: And that's the thing is, you know, Putin has this
• 19:45
Speaker 8: idea of what he thinks Russia should look like. And
• 19:49
Speaker 8: the pushback here and the questions here have to do with, okay,
• 19:52
Speaker 8: if you give him the land, you know, in any
• 19:56
Speaker 8: sort of deal, what would that entail? And what could
• 19:59
Speaker 8: that open up doors to later? What permission structure does
• 20:02
Speaker 8: that create? So I'm curious to see In what world
• 20:06
Speaker 8: where maybe Putin would scale back maybe some of that territory?
• 20:10
Speaker 8: I just don't see it in my own personal view.
• 20:13
Speaker 8: But I'm also very curious to see what Zelensky would
• 20:17
Speaker 8: agree to in this sense. But also, you know, if
• 20:20
Speaker 8: an agreement was reached with Putin, what would that entail?
• 20:23
Speaker 8: And what could the U.S. do to make sure that
• 20:25
Speaker 8: that actually sticks, if at all?
• 20:28
Speaker 3: Is there any chance that we're watching political theater play out,
• 20:33
Speaker 3: play out in real time? I mean, I recall reading,
• 20:35
Speaker 3: I can't even recall where. And again, I'm speaking to
• 20:38
Speaker 3: my guest, Cameron Arcand of townhall.com, senior correspondent, correspondent there.
• 20:44
Speaker 3: There was a time where it seemed like President Trump
• 20:47
Speaker 3: was playing politics. playing nice with Putin, but honestly, he
• 20:51
Speaker 3: was basically giving Zelensky the go to go ahead and
• 20:54
Speaker 3: continue to kick some booty. When it came to Putin,
• 20:58
Speaker 3: is there any way we could be seeing political theater
• 21:01
Speaker 3: play out just in time for the midterm elections?
• 21:05
Speaker 8: Yeah, and even more important than the midterm elections in
• 21:08
Speaker 8: this context is also the upcoming G20 summit in Florida
• 21:11
Speaker 8: in December. President Trump has invited Vladimir Putin to that summit.
• 21:18
Speaker 8: And I remember asking Trump about a month ago, you know,
• 21:21
Speaker 8: what would the parameters be for him to actually hold
• 21:23
Speaker 8: a summit with Putin again? And Trump said that he
• 21:26
Speaker 8: actually wanted something tangible to be agreed to in order
• 21:29
Speaker 8: for that to be the case. So I'm not surprised
• 21:31
Speaker 8: to see, you know, this escalation. But also the way
• 21:35
Speaker 8: Trump negotiates is he always goes big. He always goes
• 21:38
Speaker 8: big if he wants to see someone maneuver in a
• 21:40
Speaker 8: particular way. which is why I'm not surprised to see
• 21:43
Speaker 8: some of this tension between him and Zelensky right now,
• 21:46
Speaker 8: because Trump wants to get something out of it. And
• 21:48
Speaker 8: I think we'll learn what that is soon, but it
• 21:51
Speaker 8: doesn't surprise me at this stage, because I think he
• 21:53
Speaker 8: wants to see some sort of agreement get reached as
• 21:57
Speaker 8: soon as possible. But I also think he wants to
• 22:00
Speaker 8: see a world where, you know, Trump invited Putin at G20, right?
• 22:04
Speaker 8: And I think he wants to see him foster some
• 22:06
Speaker 8: of these discussions in a more serious fashion.
• 22:10
Speaker 7: I think he's getting fatigued of the fact of the U.S.
• 22:14
Speaker 8: Is having to drum up support for Ukraine in terms
• 22:16
Speaker 8: of the Patriot missile systems and some of this other stuff.
• 22:20
Speaker 8: But it's a very, very deadly war. And I think
• 22:22
Speaker 8: Trump wants to see this wrap up. But it's not
• 22:26
Speaker 8: as simple as that, which is why I think we're
• 22:27
  Speaker 8: seeing these tensions.
• 22:29
Speaker 3: Let me ask you, a lot of Republicans are divided
• 22:31
Speaker 3: on this, especially when it comes to the sanction waivers
• 22:37
Speaker 3: that President Trump is willing to give Russia over energy.
• 22:40
Speaker 3: What's your take on that? Because many people are concerned
• 22:44
Speaker 3: that we're going to lose any leverage that we have
• 22:46
Speaker 3: over Putin in Moscow.
• 22:49
Speaker 8: Well, I think part of it, too, is we have
• 22:51
Speaker 8: to realize when it comes to diesel and energy, we
• 22:53
Speaker 8: are one country in a global market. And I think
• 22:57
Speaker 8: when these deals get made, a lot of it has
• 22:59
Speaker 8: to do with not just the U.S., but what's happening
• 23:01
Speaker 8: globally as well. I think we saw that with, you know,
• 23:04
Speaker 8: the G7, the European countries a few weeks ago, deciding to,
• 23:09
Speaker 8: you know, come together, release some of those energy reserves
• 23:11
Speaker 8: as well. I think there's a broader picture here. But
• 23:14
Speaker 8: I think when it comes to Congress, I would really caution,
• 23:17
Speaker 8: you know, any member of Congress before rushing to judgment
• 23:20
Speaker 8: on you know, some of these things is we're only getting,
• 23:24
Speaker 8: I think, a small sliver of the information of what's
• 23:26
Speaker 8: public or what's being shown to other sides of the
• 23:28
Speaker 8: government here. But I think the skepticism is definitely warranted
• 23:32
Speaker 8: in the sense of how much can you trust Vladimir Putin?
• 23:35
Speaker 8: How much leverage can you give him in this sense?
• 23:37
Speaker 8: And I think the president is going to want to
• 23:40
Speaker 8: make that case clear very soon here of why these
• 23:44
Speaker 8: steps are being taken.
• 23:47
Speaker 3: Speaking of rushing to judgment, Russia basically continued attacking Ukraine's
• 23:51
Speaker 3: power plants following Trump's announcement of the ceasefire. Do you
• 23:56
Speaker 3: think that Putin believes that President Trump will be a
• 23:59
Speaker 3: lame duck president after the midterms?
• 24:03
  Speaker 4: Maybe, but I.
• 24:03
Speaker 8: Think President Donald Trump has been much more well positioned
• 24:07
Speaker 8: compared to past presidents in the sense of I think
• 24:10
Speaker 8: leaders like Putin are more inclined to take him seriously
• 24:14
Speaker 8: and on some of these things. I think Trump characteristically
• 24:20
Speaker 8: is a lot more actionable in certain things, is.
• 24:22
Speaker 7: Much more willing to take an extra step.
• 24:25
Speaker 8: I think, you know, Putin and other world leaders, I
• 24:27
Speaker 8: remember in Iran, there was that report that came out, oh,
• 24:30
Speaker 8: you know, Iran's really keeping an eye on who wins
• 24:33
  Speaker 8: the midterms.
• 24:33
Speaker 4: And I'm like, Come on.
• 24:35
  Speaker 7: That's really a.
• 24:37
Speaker 8: Metric for American military action. I'd be really surprised given
• 24:42
Speaker 8: that war powers resolutions seem truly symbolic in a lot
• 24:47
Speaker 8: of sense, doesn't really lead to anything. So, you know,
• 24:50
Speaker 8: my point being here is I think regardless of how
• 24:54
Speaker 8: it shakes out in the midterms, I don't really think
• 24:56
Speaker 8: the president is going to be deterred. And I think
• 24:59
Speaker 8: Putin at least should know that in some regard.
• 25:03
Speaker 3: You know what's amazing to me is, I mean, there's
• 25:06
Speaker 3: a lot of people out there that are concerned and saying, hey,
• 25:08
Speaker 3: the world is on fire. But I can't help but
• 25:11
Speaker 3: to think how much more if Kamala Harris actually were
• 25:15
Speaker 3: in the White House in charge of the presidency. I mean,
• 25:18
Speaker 3: I think not only would America be a laughingstock, but
• 25:22
Speaker 3: obviously we wouldn't have the Dunn Road Doctrine. We wouldn't
• 25:25
Speaker 3: have it where Putin is fearful, I believe, and and
• 25:29
Speaker 3: Xi Jinping is fearful of President Trump in the White House.
• 25:33
Speaker 3: How much worse off do you think the world would
• 25:37
Speaker 3: be and America would be were Kamala Harris in the
• 25:40
  Speaker 3: White House?
• 25:41
Speaker 8: Well, I think you've raised something that's been an important
• 25:44
Speaker 8: part of the president's argument, which has been is that
• 25:46
Speaker 8: this war started in 2022 while Joe Biden was in office, right?
• 25:51
Speaker 8: I remember the stories of, oh, Trump's, you know, Biden's
• 25:54
Speaker 8: getting these reports about intel that, you know, Russia might
• 25:57
Speaker 8: invade Ukraine and then it just kind of started after that.
• 26:01
Speaker 8: And I think that lack of action that was taken
• 26:04
Speaker 8: at that point has really become a cornerstone to the
• 26:08
Speaker 8: case that the president has made for wanting to, you know,
• 26:12
Speaker 8: finish the negotiations here and maybe take some steps that
• 26:15
Speaker 8: other presidents wouldn't make or maybe more, he's maybe more
• 26:19
Speaker 8: comfortable with being criticized and how he's handling this right
• 26:22
Speaker 8: now because of the fact that this started under his predecessor.
• 26:26
Speaker 8: So to your point there, I think You know, if
• 26:29
Speaker 8: there was a continuation of the Biden-Harris administration, I think
• 26:34
Speaker 8: we would have maybe not seen such a sharp divergence and,
• 26:38
Speaker 8: you know, a different strategy in terms of how this
• 26:40
Speaker 8: war would wrap up.
• 26:43
Speaker 3: I'm fearful that we wouldn't be able to come back,
• 26:45
Speaker 3: quite frankly, if she was in. Can Trump lower fuel
• 26:48
Speaker 3: prices while maintaining meaningful pressure on Vladimir Putin, in your opinion?
• 26:55
Speaker 8: Well, this is something I asked the president about a
• 26:57
Speaker 8: couple of days ago. I asked him if he would
• 26:59
Speaker 8: consider suspending the federal gas tax. But that is something
• 27:03
Speaker 8: that would require the power of Congress in order to
• 27:06
Speaker 8: do so. That would instantly lower gas prices nationwide if
• 27:11
Speaker 8: that was something that Congress had been motivated to do.
• 27:13
Speaker 8: But Congress actually thought about it a few months ago,
• 27:16
Speaker 8: but it was too split up at that point to
• 27:19
Speaker 8: make something happen. I think in terms of the global market,
• 27:21
Speaker 8: I'm not too surprised. He said Russia and Ukraine has
• 27:25
Speaker 8: been responsible for some of the diesel issues. And in
• 27:28
Speaker 8: terms of just regular gasoline, there's a big debate on
• 27:32
Speaker 8: how much Iran and other places.
• 27:34
  Speaker 7: Have influenced that.
• 27:35
Speaker 8: So I think ahead of the midterms, unless he were
• 27:38
Speaker 8: to somehow get Congress back, get them to agree on
• 27:43
Speaker 8: a way to suspend the gas tax or take other
• 27:47
Speaker 8: more swift actions in order to do so, I think
• 27:50
Speaker 8: things might be kind of are the way they are,
• 27:52
Speaker 8: especially when you look at Iran. And he said he's
• 27:55
Speaker 8: not going to really act until after the midterms there.
• 27:59
Speaker 3: OK, Cameron Arcand, again, senior White House correspondent at townhall.com.
• 28:05
Speaker 3: We appreciate your time and your knowledge. Thank you so much, man.
• 28:08
  Speaker 3: You take care.
• 28:09
  Speaker 1: Awesome.
• 28:10
  Speaker 7: Thank you.
• 28:11
  Speaker 4: Thank you.
• 28:12
  Speaker 5: All right.
• 28:12
Speaker 3: We'll be back with more Carl Jackson and for Scott Jennings.
• 28:15
Speaker 5: Fighting for free speech and Western civilization. This is the
• 28:19
  Speaker 5: Scott Jennings Show.
• 28:23
  Speaker 4: All right.
• 28:24
Speaker 3: Welcome back to the Scott Jennings show, guys. I want
• 28:26
Speaker 3: to talk to you. I want to talk to you
• 28:29
Speaker 3: about AARP. If you're like me, you paid into Social
• 28:32
Speaker 3: Security your whole working life.
• 28:34
Speaker 4: It's your money. You earned it.
• 28:35
Speaker 3: But special interest groups in Washington, D.C., are pushing cuts
• 28:39
Speaker 3: to Social Security and Americans are depending on it now
• 28:42
Speaker 3: more than ever. That's why AARP is fighting to stop
• 28:46
Speaker 3: the cuts and protect your money. If you agree that
• 28:51
Speaker 3: Social Security should be protected, pledge today at aarp.org. I'm sorry,
• 28:57
  Speaker 3: aarp.org slash we earned it, aarp.org. dot o r g
• 29:07
Speaker 3: slash we earned it portions of the scott jennings show
• 29:10
  Speaker 3: are sponsored in part by a a r p okay
• 29:14
Speaker 3: all right so let's get back to uh the nitty
• 29:17
Speaker 3: gritty we appreciate our guest cameron arcand white house correspondent
• 29:21
Speaker 3: for a white house correspondent for town hall So much
• 29:26
Speaker 3: more that I want to get to. Again, we have
• 29:29
Speaker 3: the Red Green Alliance meeting up in France. The DOJ
• 29:32
Speaker 3: has told California election officials, if you count flag ballots,
• 29:36
Speaker 3: you risk prosecution. It was a family text. from Ilhan
• 29:41
Speaker 3: Omar's sister that led to the raid. I am hoping
• 29:45
Speaker 3: that she will be deported or at the very least denaturalized.
• 29:50
Speaker 3: I'll talk to you about the difference when it comes
• 29:52
Speaker 3: to that. Either way, she would be out of power.
• 29:55
Speaker 3: And I hope to God that that does come to fruition.
• 29:58
Speaker 4: I do want to.
• 29:59
Speaker 3: Circle back, if I could, to this affordability issue.
• 30:03
Speaker 4: And then I really want to get to France. France,
• 30:06
  Speaker 4: Ilhan Omar.
• 30:08
Speaker 3: Frankly, when it comes to votes by illegals, I think
• 30:11
Speaker 3: all of this stuff ties in together. I think this
• 30:14
Speaker 3: is an effort by the Red-Green Alliance. By red, I
• 30:17
Speaker 3: mean communists. By green, we mean the Islamofascists or the Islamists,
• 30:24
Speaker 3: if you will, the Islamic radicals. I think what we're
• 30:27
Speaker 3: witnessing is the red green alliance. We're seeing that in France,
• 30:30
Speaker 3: but we're seeing it. We're seeing it happen here. And honestly, guys,
• 30:34
Speaker 3: I knew it was bad in the United States of America.
• 30:37
Speaker 3: I had no idea it was this bad. I mean,
• 30:41
Speaker 3: what we're seeing in Michigan, what we're seeing in places
• 30:43
Speaker 3: like Patterson, Patterson, New Jersey, frankly, what we're witnessing on
• 30:49
Speaker 3: in Capitol or on Capitol Hill is With the squad
• 30:52
Speaker 3: you have, I'm most concerned of all the senatorial races
• 30:57
Speaker 3: that are out there right now. And listen, guys, I
• 30:59
Speaker 3: think we're going to hold the Senate. That's just my opinion. Obviously,
• 31:03
Speaker 3: you're going to have to get out.
• 31:04
  Speaker 4: There and vote.
• 31:05
Speaker 3: Don't buy into the polls. Don't listen to the polls.
• 31:09
Speaker 3: Make sure you get out and vote. Michelle Tafoya is
• 31:12
Speaker 3: looking really good in Minnesota. I mean, that could be
• 31:17
Speaker 3: an upset. That would be absolutely amazing. I got to
• 31:20
Speaker 3: be honest with you, the race that concerns me the
• 31:23
Speaker 3: most is Al-Said. I think this guy is sincerely an Islamist,
• 31:30
Speaker 3: and I do not want an Islamist inside of the
• 31:33
Speaker 3: Senate or in the Senate. It's really scary where we're
• 31:39
Speaker 3: at now. And this is why when it comes to
• 31:41
Speaker 3: the affordability issue, yes, this is the issue.
• 31:44
Speaker 4: It is the economy, stupid.
• 31:46
Speaker 3: A lot of people are going to be voting on this,
• 31:47
Speaker 3: but a lot of Republicans out there are going to
• 31:50
Speaker 3: have to do a better job of communicating how Democrats
• 31:53
Speaker 3: don't intend to make your life better. And sadly, what's
• 31:56
Speaker 3: going to happen is liberals gain power, leftists gain power,
• 32:01
Speaker 3: Democratic socialists, which there is no such thing, but the
• 32:03
Speaker 3: socialists If they gain power, ultimately, it's going to be
• 32:06
Speaker 3: the Islamists. It's going to be the Mamdani's of the world.
• 32:09
Speaker 3: It's going to be the El Saeed's. God forbid he
• 32:12
Speaker 3: gets into the Senate that are eventually going to take over.
• 32:15
Speaker 3: I mean, the DSA is already punking Hakeem Jeffries. That's
• 32:18
Speaker 3: why I go back to this race. that is inside
• 32:21
Speaker 3: Pennsylvania in the 7th District. And a lot of the
• 32:24
Speaker 3: arguments that are being offered up by Democrats there, they
• 32:27
Speaker 3: want to kick this guy, this Republican, out of office.
• 32:30
Speaker 3: He is a first-term Republican, Ryan McKenzie. Get out and
• 32:36
Speaker 3: vote for Ryan McKenzie, all right? So he's in the
• 32:39
Speaker 3: Congressional 7th District out there. But the arguments are, listen,
• 32:44
Speaker 3: life is less affordable with Trump. Now, guys, I was,
• 32:48
Speaker 3: let me see if I can find this in my
• 32:49
Speaker 3: formerly Fingerprint at fingertips. I was looking at some of
• 32:54
Speaker 3: the things that Democrats were funding. I'll just tell you
• 32:56
Speaker 3: some of the basics just so you remember or the
• 32:58
Speaker 3: things that they were against.
• 32:59
Speaker 4: Remember, they were against ANWR.
• 33:02
Speaker 3: I brought something else with the USAID funding and I
• 33:05
Speaker 3: can't find it right now. I'll search for it later.
• 33:07
Speaker 3: But they were absolutely against ANWR. drilling in Anwar. They've
• 33:12
Speaker 3: made life miserable for Alaskans. These are the people that
• 33:16
Speaker 3: absolutely hate fossil fuels that implemented the Green New Scam,
• 33:21
Speaker 3: basically under the Biden administration. These are the people that
• 33:24
Speaker 3: killed the Keystone XL pipeline because they hate fossil fuels.
• 33:29
Speaker 3: They do not want to make life more affordable for you.
• 33:33
Speaker 3: These are people that claim they hate cow farts, so
• 33:36
Speaker 3: it's not like they're going to make beef production And
• 33:39
Speaker 3: better for you, if anything, they'd rather call all the
• 33:42
Speaker 3: cows that are on the planet. So I'm asking you,
• 33:45
Speaker 3: even though times are tough now, do not fall for
• 33:48
Speaker 3: what the left is selling.
• 33:50
Speaker 1: The voice of free speech. The truth delivered. Common sense
• 33:57
Speaker 1: for the American people. Welcome to the Scott Jennings Show.
• 34:02
Speaker 2: Hey, it's Scott Jennings. Thanks for listening to Common Sense
• 34:05
Speaker 2: for the American People. I'm away today, but you are
• 34:08
Speaker 2: in the capable hands of one Mr. Carl Jackson, the
• 34:11
Speaker 2: pride of Orlando, Florida. Carl, take it away.
• 34:13
Speaker 4: All right, France is burning.
• 34:17
Speaker 3: France is absolutely on fire, and that's going to be
• 34:19
Speaker 3: coming to a U.S. city near you if we're not careful.
• 34:22
Speaker 3: I mean, we saw it in the summer of 2020,
• 34:25
Speaker 3: the summer of love, and still the left doesn't talk
• 34:28
Speaker 3: about it. Unfortunately, January 6th gave them the scapegoat that
• 34:33
Speaker 3: they needed to make people forget or hypnotize people into
• 34:37
Speaker 3: forgetting that there was an entire summer of riots before
• 34:41
Speaker 3: where people went through city streets destroying their cities. I mean,
• 34:46
Speaker 3: it was absolutely insane in the name of in the
• 34:49
Speaker 3: name of George Floyd and just the name of just
• 34:52
Speaker 3: common thugs and common criminals, quite frankly. This is what
• 34:56
Speaker 3: the left is up to. I'm concerned that what's happening
• 34:59
Speaker 3: in France is going to happen here if we don't
• 35:03
Speaker 3: put a stop to it now. I love that President
• 35:06
Speaker 3: Trump has deported illegal immigrants. I hope that he deports more.
• 35:11
Speaker 3: What many people fail to talk about and often forget,
• 35:14
Speaker 3: and Republicans... hardly ever mentioned this, and I don't know why,
• 35:18
Speaker 3: but the United States literally allows legal immigrants, nearly 1 million,
• 35:23
Speaker 3: I believe, since President Trump, and don't quote me on this,
• 35:26
Speaker 3: but since he's returned to office, the numbers have been
• 35:29
Speaker 3: lower for legal immigrants coming into the country, but not
• 35:32
Speaker 3: that much lower. I believe the latest numbers I saw
• 35:35
  Speaker 3: were 20, and I believe they were 20, 25 numbers
• 35:38
Speaker 3: at about 700,000. If I recall correctly, reading that in
• 35:43
Speaker 3: the center or at the Center for Immigration Studies. Now,
• 35:46
Speaker 3: I could be wrong on that or off a little bit,
• 35:49
Speaker 3: but I don't think that I am. The numbers have
• 35:52
Speaker 3: gone down somewhat, but we still allow legal immigrants to
• 35:55
Speaker 3: come into the country.
• 35:56
Speaker 4: We do not want illegal immigrants.
• 35:59
Speaker 3: Tomorrow, I'm going to have some guests on the program
• 36:01
Speaker 3: with me on the Scott Jennings show. I look forward
• 36:04
Speaker 3: to having them. We'll have another guest actually at the
• 36:06
Speaker 3: bottom of the hour, but tomorrow. We're going to have
• 36:08
Speaker 3: Josh Hammer on to talk about this. Also, Nicholas Giordano
• 36:12
Speaker 3: from Campus Reform to talk about the impact that college
• 36:15
Speaker 3: education is having on radicalizing a lot of individuals, everything
• 36:20
Speaker 3: from leftists to Islamists. So I look forward to that.
• 36:25
Speaker 3: But we have to go to France. We have to
• 36:27
Speaker 3: talk about France. We have to talk more on the
• 36:30
Speaker 3: DSA affordability. We have to talk about Ilhan Omar and, again,
• 36:35
Speaker 3: so much more that I would like to get to
• 36:37
Speaker 3: and that I intend to get to in this hour.
• 36:40
Speaker 3: But let me just talk about France real quick because
• 36:42
Speaker 3: it is a concern of mine. We were talking in
• 36:45
Speaker 3: the last hour about El-Sayed. I am really, that race,
• 36:49
Speaker 3: I am paying attention to more than any others. Please
• 36:53
Speaker 3: get out and support Mike Rogers for Senate. Guys, this
• 36:57
  Speaker 3: isn't a race. And frankly, I don't even think this
• 37:00
Speaker 3: is an election between Democrats and Republicans. I don't want
• 37:03
Speaker 3: to minimize anybody's financial pain. I know that Americans are
• 37:07
Speaker 3: sick and tired. We endured the Biden administration successfully. And
• 37:11
Speaker 3: I understand what President Trump, President Trump is making America
• 37:15
Speaker 3: better and he's making it better. And, you know, better
• 37:20
Speaker 3: for your children or, quite frankly, your grandchildren, better for
• 37:23
Speaker 3: you long term. But there is some pain that is
• 37:26
Speaker 3: associated with that. Frankly, I'm not a big I'm not
• 37:30
Speaker 3: the biggest fan of the terrorists. I wish I. President
• 37:33
Speaker 3: Trump would just impose the tariffs on China and we
• 37:35
Speaker 3: will work deals for free trade with everyone else because
• 37:39
Speaker 3: I don't believe that you can fight the Iran war
• 37:42
Speaker 3: and do tariffs without filling a pinch. However, having said that,
• 37:47
Speaker 3: President Trump swayed me. swayed me on the issue of
• 37:51
Speaker 3: tariffs because I like the fact that we're trying to
• 37:53
Speaker 3: bring back as much manufacturing into the United States as
• 37:58
Speaker 3: feasibly possible. And I think that's a good thing, and
• 38:02
Speaker 3: I think that's going to be good long-term.
• 38:08
  Speaker 8: All right.
• 38:08
Speaker 3: Now, having said that, Detroit, we all know Detroit. We
• 38:11
Speaker 3: all know Detroit as the automaker, the automaker king or
• 38:15
Speaker 3: what have you here in the United States of America.
• 38:17
Speaker 3: That's what we love, Detroit. That's what we remember about Detroit.
• 38:20
Speaker 3: That's what we love about Michigan. We associate Michigan, obviously Detroit,
• 38:24
Speaker 3: Michigan with that. That race terrifies me between El Saeed
• 38:29
  Speaker 3: and Mike Rogers.
• 38:30
Speaker 4: Because that is an Islamist.
• 38:32
Speaker 3: And that's what we're going to see coming to the
• 38:34
Speaker 3: United States of America again, just like they're seeing in
• 38:38
Speaker 3: France right now. It is absolutely terrifying. This was from
• 38:41
Speaker 3: the Daily Wire. France burns Palestinian flags fly over France's
• 38:46
Speaker 3: Republic statue as riots rock the country.
• 38:49
Speaker 4: So here's the summary.
• 38:50
Speaker 3: You have mass mobs that have hijacked a nationwide day
• 38:54
Speaker 3: of protest. They have torched a 143-year-old town hall, a
• 38:59
Speaker 3: 143-year-old town hall. They stormed government buildings. They fought police
• 39:03
Speaker 3: in the streets. In the middle of the chaos, protesters
• 39:06
Speaker 3: waved Palestinian flags. No such place as Palestine. But nonetheless,
• 39:12
Speaker 3: I digress. And I fear that this is coming to
• 39:14
Speaker 3: a city near you. And I feel like it's going
• 39:16
Speaker 3: to be the useful idiots that are going to usher
• 39:20
Speaker 3: this stuff in. And I fear that you're not going
• 39:22
Speaker 3: to get to say anything about it. I want to
• 39:24
Speaker 3: play something that may not seem related, but it is
• 39:26
Speaker 3: one of the most terrifying clips that I heard. over
• 39:30
Speaker 3: the weekend, and I fear that it isn't getting enough press.
• 39:33
Speaker 3: I want to go to cut number two. This is
• 39:36
Speaker 3: Senator Elisa Slotkin saying that she hopes to scare young
• 39:41
Speaker 3: conservatives into getting into politics.
• 39:43
Speaker 4: Cut number two, por favor.
• 39:45
Speaker 9: I want to look at these signature cases and not
• 39:48
Speaker 9: just focus on the president, but on the people who
• 39:51
Speaker 9: enabled him. I want young people coming out of school
• 39:54
Speaker 9: to say, should I go work for the Trump administration? Like,
• 39:57
Speaker 9: that sounds fun. I might get an opportunity. I want
• 39:59
Speaker 9: them to be like, Lord, that might be buying myself
• 40:03
Speaker 9: a ton of problems that I don't want. And so
• 40:05
Speaker 9: let me avoid participating in that. I want that deterrence
• 40:10
  Speaker 9: message sent.
• 40:12
Speaker 3: I want that deterrence message sent. I'm going to use tactics.
• 40:16
Speaker 3: The left is going to use tactics to make young
• 40:19
Speaker 3: people fearful of working with the Trump administration, i.e. conservatives, i.e. Republicans, i.e.
• 40:25
Speaker 3: people that love the Constitution. Haven't we seen this before?
• 40:29
Speaker 3: Didn't we see this with the COVID lockdowns? Here's a
• 40:31
Speaker 3: sitting U.S. senator saying that she's willing to use tactics
• 40:36
Speaker 3: and what she wants to see are tactics deployed that
• 40:39
Speaker 3: are going to make it Make young conservatives second guess
• 40:44
Speaker 3: whether or not they want to work with conservatives. They
• 40:46
Speaker 3: throw Trump's name out there because they just want you
• 40:49
Speaker 3: to believe, oh, Trump bet. No, they mean all of us.
• 40:51
Speaker 3: They mean everybody that loves America, everybody that loves a flag,
• 40:55
Speaker 3: everybody that loves apple pie and the 4th of July
• 40:58
Speaker 3: and Christmas and Thanksgiving. They mean all of us. They
• 41:02
Speaker 3: hate us. And I'm scared, I'm fearful of useful idiots.
• 41:07
Speaker 3: This lady was in the CIA, like Elisa Slotkin, that'll
• 41:11
Speaker 3: help usher in this red-green, or that is helping to
• 41:15
Speaker 3: usher in this red-green alliance.
• 41:17
Speaker 4: And what does she want to do?
• 41:18
Speaker 3: While people want to fundamentally transform America, you don't hear
• 41:22
Speaker 3: her talking or speaking out against El-Said. No, young conservatives.
• 41:27
Speaker 3: Let's go to cut number five. Trump warns voters about El-Sayed.
• 41:31
Speaker 3: He calls him a jihadist. Cut number five. Por favor.
• 41:35
Speaker 7: And then today, a guy sends me something. His name
• 41:40
Speaker 7: is actually Abdullah something.
• 41:42
  Speaker 3: It's Abdullah.
• 41:45
  Speaker 4: Muhammad.
• 41:47
Speaker 7: So his middle name is Mohammed.
• 41:48
Speaker 10: So I was right.
• 41:49
  Speaker 11: Almost.
• 41:51
Speaker 7: By the way, how about that guy? He's a jihadist.
• 41:54
  Speaker 7: He's a radical left person.
• 41:56
  Speaker 12: Hates our country.
• 41:58
Speaker 1: He's a member of the Muslim Brotherhood. How about putting
• 42:01
Speaker 1: him on the Senate Intelligence Committee?
• 42:08
Speaker 4: Can you argue with the man?
• 42:11
Speaker 3: See, Elisa Slotkin doesn't want you to be able to
• 42:14
Speaker 3: share the views that Trump just shared. And it's legitimate. Frankly,
• 42:22
Speaker 3: could you imagine him in the Senate on any committee?
• 42:26
Speaker 3: but particularly the Foreign Affairs Committee, the Intelligence Committee. Could
• 42:30
Speaker 3: you imagine that? A jihadist getting on one of those committees?
• 42:37
Speaker 3: It would be absolutely terrifying. Let's circle back to the
• 42:40
Speaker 3: French riots here. In the heart of Paris, demonstrators climbed
• 42:45
Speaker 3: the monument at, I'm going to butcher this, the Place
• 42:49
Speaker 3: de la République, the towering statue of Marian that symbolizes
• 42:54
Speaker 3: the French Republic. There was a Reuters photographer that captured
• 42:59
Speaker 3: these people perched on it holding a French tricolor alongside
• 43:02
Speaker 3: a Palestinian flag amid pink smoke. These people, the useful
• 43:06
Speaker 3: idiots on the left, don't realize that they're not going
• 43:09
Speaker 3: to exist once Islamists take over. One outlet reported that
• 43:13
Speaker 3: rioters pulled down the statue's French flag and hoisted a
• 43:17
Speaker 3: Palestinian banner in its place. Guys, what we're looking at
• 43:21
Speaker 3: is the fundamental transformation of the West right before our eyes.
• 43:24
Speaker 3: And you're looking at the morons like Emmanuel Macron that
• 43:28
Speaker 3: let these people into their country. And now these people
• 43:31
Speaker 3: are taking over. It's not just students. It started with students.
• 43:35
  Speaker 3: Now it's Islamists.
• 43:36
  Speaker 4: We'll be back.
• 43:37
Speaker 5: Portion to the Scott Jennings Show, sponsored in part by
• 43:40
  Speaker 5: Americans for Prosperity.
• 43:44
Speaker 3: Hi, welcome back to the Scott Jennings Show. I am
• 43:46
Speaker 3: your guest host, Carl Jennings, Carl Jackson, sitting in for
• 43:51
Speaker 3: Scott Jennings. Guys, I want to talk to you about
• 43:54
Speaker 3: Americans for Prosperity. For generations, people from around the world
• 43:58
Speaker 3: have looked to America as a shining city on a hill.
• 44:02
  Speaker 6: Why?
• 44:03
Speaker 3: Because America was founded on a powerful idea. that individuals
• 44:07
Speaker 3: are free to think, speak, worship, build, and pursue a
• 44:11
Speaker 3: better future. From Albert Einstein to Levi Strauss, immigrants have
• 44:16
Speaker 3: used that freedom to create, contribute, and strengthen our nation.
• 44:21
Speaker 3: Americans for Prosperity invites you to discover the founding principles
• 44:26
Speaker 3: that make America a beacon of freedom. Go to the
• 44:30
Speaker 3: letter A250toolkit. com slash Scott. Again, Go to the letter A
• 44:38
Speaker 3: 250 toolkit dot com slash Scott to see how people
• 44:44
Speaker 3: have used those freedoms to build, create and serve.
• 44:48
Speaker 4: You can also test your.
• 44:49
Speaker 3: Knowledge of the responsibilities at the heart of American citizenship
• 44:53
Speaker 3: and discover why civic duty matters to keeping the shining
• 44:57
Speaker 3: city on a hill strong.
• 44:59
Speaker 10: That's all at A250. a250toolkit. com slash Scott. Again, all at
• 45:06
Speaker 10: a250toolkit. com slash Scott. Portions of the Scott Jennings Show are
• 45:12
Speaker 10: sponsored in part by Americans for Prosperity. Okay, I want
• 45:16
Speaker 10: to get back to.
• 45:18
Speaker 3: These French riots, and we'll delve into this a little
• 45:22
Speaker 3: bit more tomorrow. With Josh Hammer, I'm looking forward to
• 45:27
Speaker 3: speaking with him. We're also talking about this red-green alliance.
• 45:32
Speaker 3: We're also talking about this affordability nonsense. Democrats pretend like
• 45:37
Speaker 3: they want to make life more affordable to you.
• 45:39
  Speaker 4: I challenge you.
• 45:40
Speaker 3: To look at any bill, any piece of legislation where
• 45:44
Speaker 3: they have offered to do that in the past. Everything
• 45:46
Speaker 3: that they're offering now, including what the DSA is offering.
• 45:50
Speaker 4: I mean, these people are straight up punking.
• 45:52
Speaker 3: I'll read you some quotes in a little bit. But
• 45:55
Speaker 3: the guys, the ladies that aren't even in the Congress
• 45:58
Speaker 3: as of yet are already punking Hakeem Jeffries. This Daryliza
• 46:03
Speaker 3: Avelia Chevalier, or however you pronounce her name. And then
• 46:08
Speaker 3: what's her name? Kiros, Malik Kiros. She's doing the same thing,
• 46:12
Speaker 3: basically telling what telling Hakeem Jeffries what they expect when
• 46:17
Speaker 3: they get in Congress. And let's face it, they live
• 46:19
Speaker 3: in heavy blue districts. So it is likely that they
• 46:23
Speaker 3: are going to win these congressional seats. I just hope
• 46:25
Speaker 3: that they don't get any power when and if they
• 46:28
Speaker 3: do make it make it to Congress. But right now
• 46:31
Speaker 3: we're battling this red green alliance. You see France, France.
• 46:35
Speaker 3: I've heard people say that America is probably 10 years
• 46:37
Speaker 3: away from where France is. Honestly, guys, if we get
• 46:41
Speaker 3: lefties in office, I'm not sure that we're that far away,
• 46:44
Speaker 3: especially France. When you see the impact they've made in
• 46:47
Speaker 3: places like Minneapolis and the state of Michigan and what
• 46:50
Speaker 3: they're doing in places like the inroads that they're making
• 46:53
Speaker 3: in places like New Jersey, of all places, Patterson, New Jersey.
• 46:57
Speaker 3: It's the craziest, the craziest thing to me. But going
• 47:00
Speaker 3: back to what happened in France. You had literally what?
• 47:06
Speaker 3: Town hall stormed and torched. You had more than 1,500
• 47:10
Speaker 3: shops that were ransacked per traders unions. We have a
• 47:14
Speaker 3: video here somewhere. I'm going to look for it here.
• 47:18
Speaker 3: Forgive me, guys, because I forget the cut number. So
• 47:21
Speaker 3: I'm just rifling through right now. There was a woman
• 47:24
Speaker 3: who voted for the left. and she was shocked this
• 47:28
Speaker 3: is cut number 25 cut number 25 she supported the
• 47:31
Speaker 3: left and she was shocked at what was happening to
• 47:34
Speaker 3: her store in france cut number 25 please Thank you
• 47:39
  Speaker 3: very much.
• 48:06
Speaker 4: This is what happens. You can't be a useful idiot.
• 48:10
Speaker 3: This red-green alliance, I mean, it's not going to work
• 48:13
Speaker 3: out well in the long run for the red, for
• 48:15
Speaker 3: the commies, in my opinion. It's not going to work
• 48:18
Speaker 3: out well. You got useful idiots like that lady. I'm
• 48:20
Speaker 3: sorry that she lost her store, that her store was ransacked.
• 48:24
Speaker 3: But essentially, that is what she voted for. So again,
• 48:27
Speaker 3: you had 1,500 shops ransacked. uh, uh, per the traders unions. And, uh,
• 48:33
Speaker 3: you have fresh classes at this, uh, uh, plaza de
• 48:36
Speaker 3: la Republic. The arrest ran up to at least 1800,
• 48:41
Speaker 3: according to CBS news. Uh, you have more than 2000
• 48:44
Speaker 3: by the interior, uh, ministries count people that were arrested. Uh,
• 48:49
Speaker 3: and then you have a, an Emmanuel Macron that is
• 48:51
Speaker 3: completely feckless, completely weak. Uh, He's let that country be overrun.
• 48:58
Speaker 3: The cops, in my opinion, are handcuffed. They should be
• 49:01
Speaker 3: allowed to beat the snot out of some of these
• 49:04
Speaker 3: rioters or do whatever it takes to calm the storm. Otherwise,
• 49:08
Speaker 3: that city is going to be in complete and utter shambles.
• 49:11
Speaker 3: And this stuff hasn't stopped. And it's coming to a
• 49:14
  Speaker 3: city near you. I don't i i i don't like
• 49:17
  Speaker 3: being hyperbolic but i don't think i am we can't
• 49:20
Speaker 3: allow this to happen here in the united states.
• 49:22
Speaker 5: News comment and the stories and facts the mainstream media
• 49:26
Speaker 5: refuses to discuss it's the scott jennings show.
• 49:32
  Speaker 3: Love that song.
• 49:33
  Speaker 10: All right.
• 49:33
Speaker 3: Welcome back to the Scott Jennings Show. I'm your guest host,
• 49:36
Speaker 3: Carl Jackson, sitting in for Scott Jennings. Guys, this is
• 49:41
Speaker 3: going to be a fun guest. And I think guests
• 49:44
Speaker 3: like this are needed, particularly in the conservative space. I
• 49:48
Speaker 3: want to introduce you to Kyler Schmitz of Patmos. If
• 49:53
Speaker 3: you guys are concerned about AI, if it's got you
• 49:56
Speaker 3: in a tizzy, this is one of the people that
• 50:00
Speaker 3: you want to listen to to educate you and just
• 50:03
Speaker 3: kind of calm the storms. Frankly, I feel like we
• 50:06
Speaker 3: need more people like him out there in the political
• 50:10
Speaker 3: sphere to educate the people on the issue of AI
• 50:14
Speaker 3: and AI data centers. Kyler Schmitz, welcome to The Scott
• 50:19
  Speaker 3: Jennings Show.
• 50:21
Speaker 7: It is awesome to be here. Thanks so much for
• 50:23
  Speaker 7: having me.
• 50:25
Speaker 3: Okay, so I think the most important question for you, Kyler,
• 50:28
Speaker 3: right off the bat, how many billions of us are
• 50:31
Speaker 3: going to be dead in the next four years?
• 50:34
Speaker 6: There's definitely a lot of talk about AI, you know,
• 50:37
Speaker 6: eradicating humanity, right? And I grew up watching the Terminator
• 50:40
Speaker 6: movies and the likes of all that. But, you know,
• 50:43
Speaker 6: the reality is these technologies, like, look at how they've
• 50:46
Speaker 6: affected us so far in our day-to-day lives. They make
• 50:48
Speaker 6: me more productive. I mean, I can get a heck
• 50:50
Speaker 6: of a lot more done with these large language models
• 50:53
Speaker 6: if I use them the right way. And that's what
• 50:55
Speaker 6: they're intended to do across, you know, medicine and healthcare
• 50:59
Speaker 6: and finance and personal productivity programs. You know, these technologies
• 51:03
Speaker 6: really are intended to make lives better for humans if
• 51:05
Speaker 6: they're done the right way. And so, you know, my company,
• 51:08
Speaker 6: Patmos Hosting, that is our mission is we don't just
• 51:11
Speaker 6: want to build these data centers.
• 51:13
Speaker 7: We don't just want to do AI.
• 51:14
Speaker 6: We want to do it in a way that works
• 51:15
Speaker 6: with communities and make sure that the technologies developed actually
• 51:18
Speaker 6: help human beings, don't make them obsolete. And so that's
• 51:21
Speaker 6: what we see in this technology space. And that's what
• 51:23
Speaker 6: we are going to keep seeing if we do it
• 51:25
  Speaker 6: the right way.
• 51:26
Speaker 3: And I love the fact that you're saying doing it
• 51:28
Speaker 3: the right way because you're implying that, yeah, smart people
• 51:32
Speaker 3: like you that are in this industry knows how to
• 51:35
Speaker 3: make sure that this technology is safe. And by the way,
• 51:40
Speaker 3: I mean, we're hearing about a lot of this stuff,
• 51:43
Speaker 3: AI and AI data centers. Frankly, this is new to
• 51:46
Speaker 3: people like myself. And there's a lot of people that
• 51:49
Speaker 3: are out there that are fearful. I'm getting all these
• 51:52
Speaker 3: political pamphlets in the mail today. Oh, we're not going
• 51:55
Speaker 3: to vote for AI from Republicans and Democrats. We're not
• 51:59
Speaker 3: going to vote for AI data center. I'm like, are
• 52:01
Speaker 3: you are you nuts? So when the both of them,
• 52:03
Speaker 3: the left and the right are converging on this, I'm
• 52:05
Speaker 3: like something is wrong. You said something during the break
• 52:09
Speaker 3: when we're offline. You've been in this industry for quite
• 52:12
Speaker 3: some time. So there's a lot of people like myself.
• 52:15
Speaker 3: We're hearing about AI and AI data centers in the
• 52:18
Speaker 3: last year, maybe two. But this stuff has been around
• 52:21
Speaker 3: for quite some time.
• 52:24
  Speaker 7: It really has.
• 52:24
Speaker 6: I mean, if you've been using digital phone technology, it
• 52:28
Speaker 6: goes back a couple decades, all that powered by a
• 52:30
  Speaker 6: data center.
• 52:31
Speaker 7: I go back to my time.
• 52:33
Speaker 6: I previously had a tenure at Amazon Web Services. And here,
• 52:36
Speaker 6: 14 years ago, we were doing things with reinforcement learning,
• 52:39
Speaker 6: which is where you teach a computer how to recognize
• 52:41
Speaker 6: its mistakes, and it'll adapt so it doesn't make the
• 52:43
Speaker 6: same mistake over again. You know, AI technologies are not
• 52:48
Speaker 6: a new thing. We have seen a massive advance in
• 52:50
Speaker 6: them in recent years with these large language models that
• 52:53
Speaker 6: are in the hands of everyday Americans. And I think
• 52:55
Speaker 6: it's just a lot more front of mind because we
• 52:57
Speaker 6: are able to access these technologies. It used to be
• 52:59
Speaker 6: kind of in an R & D lab or in
• 53:01
  Speaker 6: a corporate environment.
• 53:03
Speaker 7: But, you know, now, you know, my wife uses AI.
• 53:07
Speaker 7: She's not in technology. The American people are.
• 53:09
Speaker 6: And it's a cool technology to experiment with, but it
• 53:11
Speaker 6: does bring a lot more conversation with it.
• 53:14
Speaker 3: Okay, so now let me play a clip for you.
• 53:17
Speaker 3: If we could play cut number 29, guys. This is
• 53:20
  Speaker 3: Vice President J.D.
• 53:21
  Speaker 7: Vance.
• 53:22
Speaker 3: Here's what he has to say about AI technology. I
• 53:24
Speaker 3: want to get your reaction to it. Again, I'm speaking
• 53:27
Speaker 3: to Kyler Schmidt of Patmos Hosting.
• 53:31
Speaker 4: Cut number 29, please.
• 53:32
Speaker 11: Data centers can be good. They can also, as in
• 53:36
Speaker 11: your case, cause real problems. And I think there's some
• 53:38
Speaker 11: basic principles that we've tried to apply in the Trump administration.
• 53:41
Speaker 11: I think that we have to make sure that these
• 53:43
Speaker 11: things are good community members. And there are a couple
• 53:46
Speaker 11: of examples of this where I think it's worked very
• 53:48
Speaker 11: well for the local community. So there's an example in
• 53:49
Speaker 11: Louisiana of a data center where the local community, the
• 53:53
Speaker 11: local teachers are going to be getting $ 50, 000 bonuses per
• 53:57
Speaker 11: teacher because of the revenue that's been generated by data centers,
• 54:00
Speaker 11: which I'm sure is going to make the school system
• 54:02
Speaker 11: a lot better, make the teachers a lot happier and
• 54:04
Speaker 11: get them some of the money that they've earned. At
• 54:06
Speaker 11: the same time, that data center is going to feed
• 54:09
Speaker 11: electricity back into the grid. And your complaint is about noise.
• 54:13
Speaker 11: One of the biggest complaints I've heard with data centers
• 54:15
Speaker 11: is even from friends of mine who are typically pro-innovation, pro-technology,
• 54:19
Speaker 11: is a data center went up and my power bill
• 54:21
Speaker 11: went up by $ 300. And that's totally unacceptable. And what
• 54:25
Speaker 11: we've done, it's called the Ratepayer Protection Pledge, is that
• 54:28
Speaker 11: we've effectively required the data centers to say before they
• 54:32
Speaker 11: go into community, they're going to make sure that they're
• 54:34
Speaker 11: good community citizens. They're going to be given teachers bonuses
• 54:38
Speaker 11: rather than make it impossible for your three-month-old to sleep.
• 54:41
Speaker 11: And I think that basic principle has to apply because
• 54:43
Speaker 11: there is a good that comes from data centers too.
• 54:46
Speaker 11: And what I mean is, you know, that whenever we
• 54:48
Speaker 11: use AI on our phone, like the actual work, the
• 54:52
Speaker 11: computation is actually being done at a data center, whether
• 54:56
Speaker 11: it's in Michigan or anywhere else across the country. And
• 54:59
Speaker 11: we do know, and I've seen the intelligence reports, that
• 55:01
Speaker 11: our biggest competitor internationally, the People's Republic of China, they really,
• 55:07
Speaker 11: really want to beat us in this arms race of technology.
• 55:13
Speaker 3: Okay, so let me get your reaction to that. First off,
• 55:16
Speaker 3: this J.D. Vance, Vice President J.D. Vance, highlighting Trump's ratepayer
• 55:22
Speaker 3: protection pledge. He talked about customers' electricity bills, some skyrocketed.
• 55:28
Speaker 3: That doesn't have to be the case. And also talk
• 55:30
Speaker 3: about the power to the grid, how it impacts or
• 55:35
Speaker 3: how AI or AI data centers could impact that.
• 55:39
Speaker 6: I mean, I love to hear the administration talking about
• 55:42
Speaker 6: it this way because this is how we've been developing
• 55:45
Speaker 6: data centers for the entirety of our company's existence. And
• 55:48
Speaker 6: we've really been saying from day one, we want more
• 55:51
Speaker 6: copycats out there to do things the way Patmos does it.
• 55:54
Speaker 6: When you go in and you develop one of these
• 55:56
Speaker 6: with the community, the first step is to actually listen
• 55:58
Speaker 6: to the community, understand what is important to that community
• 56:01
Speaker 6: in terms of economic development. So in some places that
• 56:03
Speaker 6: looks like investment in the education system, In some places,
• 56:06
Speaker 6: that looks like a job market and trade development. In
• 56:10
Speaker 6: a lot of places, it's a combination of all of
• 56:12
Speaker 6: the above with other forms of community investment. But then
• 56:15
Speaker 6: when you look at the utility, you absolutely have to
• 56:17
Speaker 6: pay your way. And so if there's existing power, you
• 56:20
Speaker 6: pay your fair rate. You don't ask for discounts. If
• 56:22
Speaker 6: you need more power, you pay for the transmission upgrades.
• 56:25
Speaker 6: You pay for the substation upgrades. And in effect, you
• 56:28
Speaker 6: can actually lower the utility bill for the average rate payers.
• 56:31
Speaker 6: These things aren't necessarily cheap, but it's the long-term perspective.
• 56:34
Speaker 6: So if you're going to be doing business in a
• 56:36
Speaker 6: community for decades, not just to ride whatever wave this is,
• 56:39
Speaker 6: companies need to be making those investments. It's the right
• 56:42
Speaker 6: thing to do, but it also makes sense in the
• 56:43
Speaker 6: long term. And then it goes beyond that. When you
• 56:46
Speaker 6: talk about generators, every data center out there is going
• 56:48
Speaker 6: to need some sort of backup power. It's an unavoidable
• 56:51
Speaker 6: fact of the industry. But generators can come with mufflers
• 56:54
Speaker 6: or they can come without mufflers. Mufflers cost money. So
• 56:56
Speaker 6: here at Patmos, we put these mufflers on to begin with.
• 56:59
Speaker 6: We never even ask if they're needed. And they end
• 57:01
Speaker 6: up running at about the noise of a lawnmower. So
• 57:03
Speaker 6: when you space those a couple hundred feet away from
• 57:06
Speaker 6: the nearest street, the nearest area where people are living,
• 57:09
Speaker 6: it's very minor, and they only run about once a month.
• 57:11
Speaker 7: So there is a way that you can do these
• 57:13
Speaker 7: in the right way. And I love to hear Mr.
• 57:16
Speaker 6: Vance, Vice President Vance, talking about it in those terms
• 57:18
Speaker 6: because we couldn't agree more with that approach.
• 57:21
Speaker 3: You know, I'm listening to all the things that you're
• 57:25
Speaker 3: saying here, and it.
• 57:27
  Speaker 4: Brings me back.
• 57:28
Speaker 3: And again, I'm speaking with our guest, Kyler Schmitz of
• 57:31
Speaker 3: Pat Moe's Hosting. I'm listening to what you're saying, and
• 57:35
Speaker 3: I'm hearkening back to just a couple or a few
• 57:37
Speaker 3: weeks ago, maybe a month or so ago, where you
• 57:40
Speaker 3: had a lot of these giants in the tech industry
• 57:43
Speaker 3: that were just panicking everyone.
• 57:46
Speaker 4: Now, I'm listening to you, and I'm like, is.
• 57:49
Speaker 3: This just to keep the so-called copycats or the smaller AI,
• 57:55
Speaker 3: even though if you're developing data centers, I don't imagine
• 57:57
Speaker 3: that you're small, but in the eyes of these big giants,
• 58:02
Speaker 3: I guess you would be. The term regulatory capture comes
• 58:07
Speaker 3: to mind. Let me put it that way. In your opinion,
• 58:10
Speaker 3: is that what we were witnessing when we saw all
• 58:12
Speaker 3: the panic from the big tech giants?
• 58:16
  Speaker 7: Very much so.
• 58:18
Speaker 6: I'm on the record for saying as such in earlier
• 58:21
Speaker 6: conversations on a variety of formats. But these large companies
• 58:26
Speaker 6: can afford strict regulation. And so as you see an
• 58:30
Speaker 6: uptick in open source models, so these models that are
• 58:32
Speaker 6: developed by communities, by smaller companies, We see an increase
• 58:37
Speaker 6: in American open source technologies, which are free to use,
• 58:40
Speaker 6: open source, open weight, technical terms, but it just means
• 58:43
Speaker 6: that how they actually work is transparent. those are starting
• 58:47
Speaker 6: to perform as well, if not better in some cases,
• 58:51
Speaker 6: than the models you see out of like Anthropic and OpenAI.
• 58:54
  Speaker 8: Wow.
• 58:54
Speaker 7: So what better way to suppress that innovation than say, hey,
• 58:58
Speaker 7: we want more regulation. We want to be regulated. And
• 59:00
Speaker 7: it's going to cost a boatload of money.
• 59:02
Speaker 6: But when you're a multi-billion dollar company you can afford
• 59:04
Speaker 6: that when you're a startup or an open source community
• 59:06
  Speaker 6: you can't so i do think it's a it's a
• 59:08
Speaker 6: method of of defensibility and an increasingly commoditized uh technology space.
• 59:15
Speaker 3: Okay, so we can make this where it's affordable and
• 59:17
Speaker 3: safe for consumers, everyday Americans that need to use it.
• 59:24
Speaker 3: That's a good thing. We just debunked the sky is
• 59:27
Speaker 3: falling theory. I think narrative from the big tech giants.
• 59:32
Speaker 3: Let's talk about China. You're an American business owner. When
• 59:36
Speaker 3: it comes to AI, how concerned are you when it
• 59:40
Speaker 3: comes to China leading the way, if they are able
• 59:43
Speaker 3: to lead the way in AI? How could this be
• 59:46
Speaker 3: a threat to the United States?
• 59:48
Speaker 7: Well, I think in two ways for me when I
• 59:51
  Speaker 7: look at this.
• 59:52
Speaker 6: The first is when we look at these technologies, they
• 59:54
Speaker 6: are undoubtedly transformative. From a productivity standpoint, the productivity of
• 59:59
  Speaker 6: the American worker.
• 1:00:00
Speaker 7: That is an advantage, a competitive advantage of ours on
• 1:00:02
  Speaker 7: a global stage.
• 1:00:04
Speaker 6: And so we want to make sure that we have
• 1:00:05
Speaker 6: like bleeding edge technologies in the hands of the American workforce,
• 1:00:08
Speaker 6: in the hands of the American warfighter when it comes
• 1:00:11
Speaker 6: to defense. And we need to maintain an advantage in
• 1:00:15
Speaker 6: these technologies so we have an advantage on that global stage.
• 1:00:18
Speaker 6: The second thing is we need to make sure we
• 1:00:20
Speaker 6: invest in the ecosystem here in the United States and
• 1:00:22
Speaker 6: in other democratic nations because the fact of the matter
• 1:00:25
Speaker 6: is the Communist Party over there is running one of
• 1:00:28
Speaker 6: the largest surveillance operations on Earth, maybe in human history.
• 1:00:32
Speaker 6: And I personally don't feel really reassured if they take
• 1:00:36
Speaker 6: the lead in these technologies. I can't help but think
• 1:00:38
Speaker 6: they would be abused. So there's a variety of reasons
• 1:00:41
Speaker 6: we want to maintain our competitiveness in this space. ranging
• 1:00:44
Speaker 6: from productivity to national defense, and then accounting for the
• 1:00:48
Speaker 6: surveillance considerations of the Communist Party.
• 1:00:51
Speaker 4: Okay, we only have about a minute left.
• 1:00:53
Speaker 3: You're an independent American provider, Kyler Schmitz of Patmos. You
• 1:00:57
Speaker 3: do hosting, you do cloud hosting, you do data center services.
• 1:01:01
Speaker 3: Talk to the young person out there that's scared of AI.
• 1:01:04
Speaker 3: Maybe AI can help them when it comes to employment.
• 1:01:07
Speaker 3: Can you explain that?
• 1:01:08
  Speaker 4: One minute.
• 1:01:09
Speaker 7: Actually, a little less. Definitely.
• 1:01:11
Speaker 6: So AI makes the product of someone with intelligent ideas,
• 1:01:15
Speaker 6: with a perspective, makes you more productive. And so for
• 1:01:18
Speaker 6: those that have intelligence and drive and motive and want
• 1:01:22
Speaker 6: to be better at what they do, AI can amplify that.
• 1:01:24
Speaker 6: And it can actually make you more productive and effective
• 1:01:27
Speaker 6: at what you do. The reality of it is data
• 1:01:29
Speaker 6: centers are not anything new. AI is not anything new.
• 1:01:32
Speaker 6: And every time you get onto your cell phone, every
• 1:01:34
Speaker 6: time we have a conversation like this over a digital medium,
• 1:01:36
Speaker 6: that's being powered by a data center somewhere. So the
• 1:01:39
Speaker 6: net of it is as long as we do these
• 1:01:40
Speaker 6: data centers the right way and build with communities versus
• 1:01:43
Speaker 6: over them, as long as we develop AI to help
• 1:01:46
Speaker 6: human beings and put technology at the service of humans.
• 1:01:49
Speaker 7: And not the other way around, these are really good things.
• 1:01:52
Speaker 6: Developing God in a Box or some sort of like
• 1:01:54
Speaker 6: sentient AI that makes humans obsolete, that's not necessarily in
• 1:01:57
  Speaker 6: our favor.
• 1:01:58
Speaker 7: That's not what we have to pursue. So let's pursue
• 1:02:00
Speaker 7: the right technology. All right.
• 1:02:03
Speaker 3: And I think more jobs will be coming as well. Anyway,
• 1:02:05
Speaker 3: thank you. We appreciate your time here.
• 1:02:08
  Speaker 7: Thank you.
• 1:02:09
Speaker 5: Common sense for the American people.
• 1:02:12
Speaker 3: This is the Scott Jennings Show. A quick thank you
• 1:02:15
Speaker 3: to Scott Jennings for allowing me to sit behind his microphone.
• 1:02:18
Speaker 3: Really appreciate that. I pray for Scott Jennings. He beats
• 1:02:22
Speaker 3: him up, metaphorically speaking, on CNN. I love watching. I
• 1:02:26
Speaker 3: love watching the clips. Anyway, Scott, you are doing the
• 1:02:32
Speaker 3: Patriots work there. Really do appreciate that. Lou's got my
• 1:02:34
Speaker 3: back right here at AM 950. TheAnswerOrlando.com. Sean McConnell is
• 1:02:38
Speaker 3: in my ear. Brian producing the program. Rick Lowkey in
• 1:02:42
Speaker 3: Los Angeles studios. Again, I'm here in Orlando AM 950. TheAnswerOrlando.com.
• 1:02:47
Speaker 3: Plenty of great programming here for you to listen to
• 1:02:50
Speaker 3: like the American adversaries on your drive time Monday, Sunday.
• 1:02:55
Speaker 3: Sunday through Friday, actually, at 5 p.m. So give them
• 1:02:58
Speaker 3: a listen as well. Anyway, all right, so things that
• 1:03:02
Speaker 3: I want to cover real quickly. We briefly talked about
• 1:03:05
Speaker 3: the France riots. I'm going to delve into them a
• 1:03:08
Speaker 3: little more deeply tomorrow with a guest of mine, Josh Hammer.
• 1:03:12
Speaker 4: I'm looking forward to that.
• 1:03:14
Speaker 3: Also, Nicholas Giordani of Campus Reform is also going to
• 1:03:18
Speaker 3: be joining us to talk about the impact of that
• 1:03:21
Speaker 3: our college education system is having on turning people into
• 1:03:26
Speaker 3: leftists and actually and actually emboldening radical Islamists. So I
• 1:03:31
Speaker 3: look forward to joining joining you again tomorrow. My name
• 1:03:35
Speaker 3: is Carl Jackson in for Scott Jennings. Again, you can
• 1:03:38
Speaker 3: find me on all things social media at Carl Jackson
• 1:03:40
Speaker 3: show at the Carl Jackson show.
• 1:03:42
  Speaker 4: I'm on X.
• 1:03:43
Speaker 3: I'm on Instagram and Facebook. Also, please like, share and
• 1:03:46
Speaker 3: subscribe to my podcast, The Carl Jackson Show.
• 1:03:50
Speaker 4: That is on YouTube.
• 1:03:51
Speaker 3: I'm going to play a couple of clips for you
• 1:03:53
Speaker 3: because there are more things that I do want to
• 1:03:55
Speaker 3: talk about in a very short period of time. We're
• 1:03:58
Speaker 3: not going to be able to get to all of them,
• 1:04:00
Speaker 3: but I do want.
• 1:04:00
Speaker 4: To play one. This is in regards to.
• 1:04:04
Speaker 3: This is in regards to El Saeed in Michigan. He
• 1:04:07
Speaker 3: is having some problems with black voters. I'm really happy
• 1:04:11
Speaker 3: about that. Let's play cut number 21. Por favor, Mr.
• 1:04:14
  Speaker 4: McConnell.
• 1:04:18
  Speaker 12: Because I am a conservative Democrat. I couldn't, in my
• 1:04:23
Speaker 12: right mind, vote for this guy. It's nothing personal. It's
• 1:04:26
Speaker 12: just what he thinks and his ideas don't align with
• 1:04:29
Speaker 12: what I think is best for the party. And so
• 1:04:32
Speaker 12: what happened was I started doing my research on Mike Rogers.
• 1:04:35
  Speaker 3: And when I say I'm a.
• 1:04:36
Speaker 12: Staunch Democrat, if you look at my voting record, I've
• 1:04:38
Speaker 12: always voted Democrat. And I said, for the first time
• 1:04:40
Speaker 12: in my life, I have to do what's best for
• 1:04:42
Speaker 12: not only for myself and my family, but for my community.
• 1:04:46
Speaker 12: And we needed someone who has the background, who has
• 1:04:50
Speaker 12: the experience, and someone who actually is going to have
• 1:04:52
Speaker 12: these conversations, even if they're tough, about how to.
• 1:04:56
Speaker 3: Move the state of Michigan forward.
• 1:04:57
Speaker 12: And that's what made me go towards working with and
• 1:05:02
Speaker 12: voting for Mike Rogers. And I was so bold about it.
• 1:05:06
Speaker 12: that I posted it because I wanted people to understand
• 1:05:09
Speaker 12: that I understand their fear and their hesitance because when
• 1:05:12
Speaker 12: you switch parties, especially in the state of Michigan and
• 1:05:15
Speaker 12: where we're from in Pontiac, you can literally be ostracized.
• 1:05:18
Speaker 12: Being a former elected official in the city of Pontiac,
• 1:05:22
Speaker 12: everybody knows me as the staunch Democrat and I say
• 1:05:24
Speaker 12: what I mean and I mean what I say and
• 1:05:26
Speaker 12: I felt that my thoughts and my policies align more
• 1:05:29
Speaker 12: with Mike Rogers because he's about the whole conglomerate of
• 1:05:32
Speaker 12: people and not just a select few. And so that's
• 1:05:35
Speaker 12: what made me switch and vote for him.
• 1:05:37
Speaker 3: Melanie, very well. Honestly, thank thank God. Thank God that
• 1:05:43
Speaker 3: people like this black woman and the Democrat Party. I mean,
• 1:05:48
Speaker 3: it's a real concern, sadly, in the black community where
• 1:05:51
Speaker 3: where you will be ostracized. But I'm sorry, your your
• 1:05:54
Speaker 3: nation is more important. Your city is is more important.
• 1:05:57
Speaker 3: Your state is more important. She understands that. El-Sayed, this
• 1:06:01
Speaker 3: is cut number 11, admits that his sister-in-law was on
• 1:06:04
Speaker 3: the terrorism watch list. What do you mean? I thought
• 1:06:07
Speaker 3: he had no ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. Cut number 11,
• 1:06:10
Speaker 3: por favor, Mr. McConnell. There's reporting in a lawsuit that
• 1:06:14
Speaker 3: now backs it up and documentation with the lawsuit that
• 1:06:16
  Speaker 3: Miriam Jakaku, who's your sister-in-law.
• 1:06:19
Speaker 4: That she was on the terrorist watch list.
• 1:06:21
  Speaker 7: What's your response?
• 1:06:23
Speaker 13: Basically, it's exactly the point. She did nothing wrong and
• 1:06:26
Speaker 13: was captured on that and then sued and got off.
• 1:06:28
Speaker 13: So the idea that you can be placed on something
• 1:06:30
Speaker 13: like that because of exactly the infrastructure that Mike Rogers
• 1:06:33
Speaker 13: and his Flockram camera and his Patriot Act and his
• 1:06:36
Speaker 13: surveillance state can do is exactly the point.
• 1:06:38
Speaker 7: So she sued and what happened afterwards? You know what happened, right?
• 1:06:40
  Speaker 8: No.
• 1:06:41
  Speaker 13: She was removed.
• 1:06:43
Speaker 4: Okay, so she was removed.
• 1:06:45
Speaker 3: Unfortunately, his sister, his mother, all of these people that
• 1:06:50
Speaker 3: have associations with the Muslim Brotherhood, basically members of the
• 1:06:53
Speaker 3: Muslim Brotherhood, not so much. Ilhan Omar, and I'll dive
• 1:06:57
Speaker 3: into this a little more tomorrow. Ilhan Omar is in
• 1:07:00
Speaker 3: deep doo-doo. As they say, Tom Homan has come out
• 1:07:04
Speaker 3: and said, yes, she could be deported. She could be denaturalized. Obviously,
• 1:07:08
Speaker 3: she would be sent packing. If she was deported, she
• 1:07:12
Speaker 3: could be denaturalized because apparently she wasn't 17 years old.
• 1:07:18
Speaker 3: She wasn't a minor when her father became a citizen
• 1:07:22
Speaker 3: in the United States of America. And so she would
• 1:07:24
Speaker 3: have to go and file the paperwork herself, which she
• 1:07:26
Speaker 3: never did. Apparently, there was a text, a family text
• 1:07:30
Speaker 3: from her sister saying, that led to the raid. So
• 1:07:32
Speaker 3: we'll dive into this and more tomorrow as well. I'm
• 1:07:35
Speaker 3: Carl Jackson and for Scott Jennings, I will be back
• 1:07:38
Speaker 3: with you manana until next time.
• 1:07:40
Speaker 4: Don't grow weary doing good.
