- 0:00Speaker 1: God commands a blessing. He can speak to the blessing
- 0:04Speaker 1: and say, blessing go there. Blessing come here. Blessing go
- 0:09Speaker 1: to her. Blessing move over there. He commands a blessing.
- 0:13Speaker 1: He is the Lord of the harvest. He is Lord
- 0:17Speaker 1: of all or he's not Lord at all. So God said,
- 0:21Speaker 1: if you want me to command a blessing, be careful
- 0:25Speaker 1: how you treat your associations. Because I will command blessings
- 0:30Speaker 1: based on how you treat your association. Greetings in the
- 0:41Speaker 1: name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I am
- 0:43Speaker 1: so excited to have the opportunity to challenge those, to coach,
- 0:47Speaker 1: if you will, those who are on the verge of
- 0:48Speaker 1: their destiny. There are certain things that go around you,
- 0:52Speaker 1: that happen around you, that happen to you during the
- 0:55Speaker 1: day that should not choke out God's purpose in your life.
- 0:59Speaker 1: I pray that as you go into this word that
- 1:01Speaker 1: it will bless you, guide you, direct you, challenge you,
- 1:05Speaker 1: change you. The message choked. It was my first time
- 1:10Speaker 1: being in Ghana and it was absolutely amazing. And I
- 1:14Speaker 1: had a myriad of experiences over there, but toward the
- 1:16Speaker 1: conclusion of those experiences, They said, would you like to
- 1:19Speaker 1: go to one of the Spanish castles where the first
- 1:24Speaker 1: slaves were sent to America? And I thought, wow, this
- 1:30Speaker 1: is my one chance to go. I probably will never
- 1:32Speaker 1: get another chance to see that. I'd like to go
- 1:35Speaker 1: and see it. They said, well, we're going to have
- 1:36Speaker 1: to go up into the Ivory Coast, and it's quite
- 1:38Speaker 1: a drive. But if you're willing to take a long drive,
- 1:41Speaker 1: I'm willing to take you. So I said, good. Me
- 1:44Speaker 1: and a Nigerian friend of mine, who was a good
- 1:46Speaker 1: friend at the time, We went through Ghana and up
- 1:50Speaker 1: into the Ivory Coast and all the way out to
- 1:54Speaker 1: the ocean by the beaches. Beautiful beach, but it doesn't
- 1:58Speaker 1: look like the beaches we have now because people are
- 2:00Speaker 1: living all over them. And there are huts and shanties
- 2:03Speaker 1: and all of that and winding roads and poorly kept roads.
- 2:06Speaker 1: And we're traveling all the distance to go see. these
- 2:10Speaker 1: Spanish castles that were built and erected by the Spanish
- 2:15Speaker 1: people through which they began to import what would now
- 2:19Speaker 1: be almost human trafficking. But for them, it was a
- 2:24Speaker 1: business of supplying a workforce to build new countries as
- 2:30Speaker 1: they were being forged and formed The free labor brought
- 2:35Speaker 1: down the economic deficit. This was not about racism. It
- 2:38Speaker 1: was about money. Most things are about money. And it
- 2:45Speaker 1: was a way to subsidize the need to build country
- 2:49Speaker 1: with free labor. And so what they did was work
- 2:52Speaker 1: out deals whereby people were gathered and snatched away from
- 2:55Speaker 1: their countries and cultures and livelihoods and what have you
- 2:58Speaker 1: and brought to these Spanish castles where they were to
- 3:02Speaker 1: wait for the next boat to come in. Now waiting
- 3:05Speaker 1: on a boat is not like waiting on a plane.
- 3:07Speaker 1: You go to the airport, you can go to the
- 3:08Speaker 1: airport right now and pretty soon there's going to be
- 3:10Speaker 1: a plane take you wherever you want to go. It's
- 3:12Speaker 1: not a long wait. You had to wait months and
- 3:14Speaker 1: months in these conditions before the next boat came back
- 3:18Speaker 1: that was a slave ship. A slave ship was designed
- 3:22Speaker 1: to move slaves. It had an underbelly in it so
- 3:26Speaker 1: that the slaves could be stacked underground. They were not
- 3:30Speaker 1: kept or seated like you're sitting now they were stacked
- 3:33Speaker 1: so you could get more slaves at one time to
- 3:36Speaker 1: make the import them over into these countries over all
- 3:40Speaker 1: of these turbulent waters many of which would die in
- 3:43Speaker 1: the process of getting where they were trying to go
- 3:45Speaker 1: but this was how they moved the slaves from one
- 3:48Speaker 1: geographical location to the next so I was fascinated to
- 3:52Speaker 1: be able to go I'm going with a Nigerian we
- 3:55Speaker 1: go into this area we go into what is now
- 3:58Speaker 1: almost a museum With all of these slave artifacts. And
- 4:02Speaker 1: there's chains all over the walls as you walked along.
- 4:06Speaker 1: And they had shackles through which they shackled their feet.
- 4:10Speaker 1: And then would almost weld the shackle together so that
- 4:14Speaker 1: you couldn't get away. Because this is about power.
- 4:17Speaker 2: Somebody said power.
- 4:18Speaker 3: Power.
- 4:20Speaker 1: It's about power and it's about control. They also had
- 4:22Speaker 1: shackles designed to go around the neck. It would be
- 4:25Speaker 1: tightly applied to the neck because the neck controls your
- 4:29Speaker 1: breathing apparatus. And anytime you start moving and something starts
- 4:33Speaker 1: pulling against your neck, it will make you calm down.
- 4:35Speaker 1: The same way you might take an animal and put
- 4:38Speaker 1: something around their neck. I don't care how strong. Sometimes
- 4:42Speaker 1: the animal is physically strong enough to break the chain,
- 4:45Speaker 1: but when he feels the feeling of being choked, he
- 4:48Speaker 1: will back away from it because wind is necessary for
- 4:52Speaker 1: any living mammal to be able to breathe. So they
- 4:56Speaker 1: put the shackles around their neck so that if you
- 4:59Speaker 1: tried to escape and the chain was anchored down, the
- 5:02Speaker 1: choking feeling would discourage you even if you were strong
- 5:06Speaker 1: enough To break the chain. The neck is a very
- 5:09Speaker 1: vulnerable place. You will notice that when animals begin to fight,
- 5:13Speaker 1: they always go for the throats. Because if I can
- 5:16Speaker 1: get you by the throat and cut your windpipe off,
- 5:19Speaker 1: your muscles get discouraged. It's hard to think when you
- 5:24Speaker 1: can't breathe. And so when you're here for anything, going
- 5:28Speaker 1: for the throat, always understand that this is not just power,
- 5:31Speaker 1: but there's also intellectualism involved. Because there is an instinctive
- 5:35Speaker 1: understanding that even animals have that when I get you
- 5:38Speaker 1: by the throat, even though you might be a stronger animal,
- 5:42Speaker 1: it's going to slow you down and stop you. Because
- 5:44Speaker 1: I understand that the only way you can keep breathing
- 5:49Speaker 1: is to maintain this cycle. Breathing. You're doing it right
- 5:54Speaker 1: now without even thinking about it. But just consciously take
- 5:56Speaker 1: a deep breath. Just take it in. Just take it in.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Wasn't that good? Good. But you let it out, didn't you?
- 6:03Speaker 1: You let it out. No matter how good it was,
- 6:05Speaker 1: you had to let it back out because you are
- 6:07Speaker 1: not surviving through the intake of air alone, but also
- 6:12Speaker 1: the expulsion of air. When you take it in and
- 6:15Speaker 1: release it out, you create a vacuum and availability to
- 6:19Speaker 1: be able to take in what's next. If you take
- 6:22Speaker 1: in a breath and you get choked and you can't
- 6:25Speaker 1: get the breath out, you're not available to take in
- 6:27Speaker 1: what's next. And when you stop being available to take
- 6:30Speaker 1: in what's next, That is what causes you to die. Anyway,
- 6:36Speaker 1: it was an interesting opportunity. And they took me down
- 6:39Speaker 1: into this dungeon. And I got down into this dungeon area.
- 6:43Speaker 1: It's a waiting area where the slaves were kept. They
- 6:46Speaker 1: were actually stacked. So don't picture people standing as much
- 6:50Speaker 1: as you might be stacked like sardines piled on top
- 6:53Speaker 1: of each other. There was a trough down in the
- 6:55Speaker 1: bottom floor. which was where they defecated it and urine
- 7:00Speaker 1: would seep down through the bodies down to the track
- 7:03Speaker 1: and easily migrate out of the building because they were
- 7:07Speaker 1: dehumanized in the process of doing it. It's a very
- 7:10Speaker 1: large room. I can't remember exactly the dimensions, but I'm
- 7:13Speaker 1: going to guesstimate at it and say it might have
- 7:16Speaker 1: been maybe a 50 foot by 50 foot room. It's
- 7:20Speaker 1: big high walls, maybe about 20 feet. 20 feet in
- 7:23Speaker 1: the air of solid walls, one window at the very top,
- 7:27Speaker 1: one window with just a little bit of air coming in.
- 7:29Speaker 1: So it's very, very dark and it's very dank. It's very,
- 7:33Speaker 1: very dank and it's very dark. And there's, there's the smell,
- 7:37Speaker 1: there's a smell of moisture and, and, and mold even
- 7:41Speaker 1: after all of these years, because I'm a very spiritual person.
- 7:45Speaker 1: When I walked into the atmosphere, I could feel the
- 7:48Speaker 1: I don't know whether you can understand this, but I
- 7:50Speaker 1: could feel the spirits of the slaves. This dark, foreboding feeling.
- 7:56Speaker 1: This oppressive feeling. This overwhelming feeling. And I'm in the room.
- 8:01Speaker 1: And up until they brought me into this room, I
- 8:03Speaker 1: was okay. But when they brought me in this room,
- 8:05Speaker 1: I felt a little uncomfortable. I was in the room
- 8:08Speaker 1: and shut up. It was dark. And I was empathizing
- 8:11Speaker 1: and feeling and sensing this moment. And my Nigerian friend
- 8:16Speaker 1: spoke to me and he said, How do you feel
- 8:19Speaker 1: seeing all this? And I had the strangest answer. An
- 8:23Speaker 1: answer that even surprised me. It definitely surprised him. I said, afraid.
- 8:29Speaker 1: I felt afraid. Not just empathizing with the slave. I
- 8:33Speaker 1: felt afraid myself. For the first time in my life,
- 8:36Speaker 1: I thought, this is what one person could do to
- 8:39Speaker 1: another person. It doesn't matter the color, the culture, or kind,
- 8:43Speaker 1: whether you're talking about the Holocaust or whatever. Whenever you
- 8:48Speaker 1: look at it, you find the human propensity of what
- 8:51Speaker 1: people with abusive power could do to another person. It
- 8:56Speaker 1: was scary to me. It was scary for the first
- 8:59Speaker 1: time in my whole life, I thought. That could happen.
- 9:02Speaker 1: Somebody could come in and snatch you out of your
- 9:04Speaker 1: house and away from everything that you're familiar with, put
- 9:07Speaker 1: you into an atmosphere where you can't even communicate with anybody,
- 9:12Speaker 1: take away all of your freedoms and power and change
- 9:15Speaker 1: the rest of your life. And the reality of that
- 9:18Speaker 1: was so overwhelming. I wanted to leave. I said, that's
- 9:20Speaker 1: enough of this. I'm ready to go. Thank you very much.
- 9:22Speaker 1: I'm coming out of here. I had enough of it.
- 9:24Speaker 1: My Nigerian friend did not feel anything like what I
- 9:29Speaker 1: felt at all. He did not feel anything like what
- 9:34Speaker 1: I felt at all. But I felt all of those
- 9:38Speaker 1: feelings being in that atmosphere to see what people do
- 9:42Speaker 1: when they abuse power. Power corrupts, it has been said.
- 9:50Speaker 1: Total power totally corrupts. It is a dangerous thing what
- 9:56Speaker 1: you do with power. One of the greatest tests in
- 10:00Speaker 1: your life is how you handle power. You've been talking
- 10:05Speaker 1: about favor, and oh, I got favor. The favor of
- 10:08Speaker 1: God is on me. Well, favor is power. And if
- 10:10Speaker 1: you have favor how you handle favor will determine whether
- 10:15Speaker 1: you keep favor or not. If you have power with
- 10:19Speaker 1: somebody because favor is just power with somebody or something.
- 10:25Speaker 1: If you have power with somebody whether you keep the
- 10:28Speaker 1: power is determined by how you handle the power you
- 10:32Speaker 1: have with somebody. Right now whatever you ask me to
- 10:35Speaker 1: do I go out of my way to do it.
- 10:36Speaker 1: That means you have power with me. If you abuse
- 10:39Speaker 1: that power badly enough, you could lose that power. Oh,
- 10:43Speaker 1: you all understand what I'm saying to you? See, that's power.
- 10:47Speaker 1: So power does not exempt us from test. Instead, it
- 10:52Speaker 1: increases our test. Yes, it increases our test because it
- 10:57Speaker 1: increases our options. And the more options you have, the
- 11:01Speaker 1: more tested you are. Some people live right because they
- 11:04Speaker 1: don't have no choice. It's easy for you to live
- 11:10Speaker 1: holy when you have no choice. It's easy for you
- 11:14Speaker 1: to be monogamous when nobody wants you anyway. I just,
- 11:22Speaker 1: I thought I'd give an illustration. It's one thing for
- 11:26Speaker 1: you to sit on the couch, you know, weighing 375
- 11:30Speaker 1: and four feet tall and looking like your mama hit
- 11:35Speaker 1: you in the face with a skillet. And you're watching
- 11:37Speaker 1: somebody like Tiger Woods and you're saying, that's blasphemy. My God,
- 11:41Speaker 1: that's terrible. Well, it's easy for you to judge him
- 11:44Speaker 1: because they didn't want you anyway. But in order to
- 11:49Speaker 1: be tested, oh, you know.
- 11:51Speaker 2: Come on, come on, come on.
- 11:52Speaker 1: Don't act funny. Don't act funny now. You know how
- 11:56Speaker 1: I am. Don't be surprised. This is reality.
- 12:01Speaker 3: Still to come on The Potter's Touch.
- 12:04Speaker 1: The job of the church to teach you how the
- 12:06Speaker 1: kingdom operates the world has all kinds of vehicles to
- 12:10Speaker 1: teach you how the world operates you got CNN you
- 12:12Speaker 1: got Fox you got MSNBC you got newspapers you got
- 12:16Speaker 1: emails you got all kinds of ways to keep up
- 12:18Speaker 1: with how the world operates and if you want to
- 12:21Speaker 1: just operate in the world you don't need me But
- 12:25Speaker 1: if you want to find out how the kingdom operates,
- 12:28Speaker 1: it's my job to show you this is how the
- 12:31Speaker 1: kingdom operates. Somebody say it. This is how the kingdom operates.
- 12:36Speaker 1: What do you do with the fire that will not go?
- 12:39Speaker 3: The wait is over. God wants to use you in
- 12:42Speaker 3: extraordinary ways now. Great things are ahead of you. You're
- 12:45Speaker 3: on the verge.
- 12:46Speaker 1: You are not just going from day to day, week
- 12:48Speaker 1: to week, month to month, and now you're getting ready
- 12:50Speaker 1: to step into another year. You are standing on the cusp.
- 12:54Speaker 1: Of an entirely new awakening. There's a burning desire down
- 12:59Speaker 1: inside of you that will not shut up. I got
- 13:02Speaker 1: the pain, but I got the passion too. I got
- 13:05Speaker 1: the problem, but I got the passion too. I got
- 13:08Speaker 1: a little chatter going on, but I still got the passion.
- 13:11Speaker 1: Life is going to hand you something every day. Take
- 13:14Speaker 1: in what you can get out of it. Let go
- 13:16Speaker 1: of what you can't get out of it. But don't
- 13:18Speaker 1: let anybody hurt you so bad that you shall die.
- 13:24Speaker 3: The wait is over. It's time to make your life count.
- 13:27Speaker 3: Order The Verge today. Visit our website or call 1-800-BISHOP-2.
- 13:40Speaker 1: What I am talking to you today on the surface
- 13:43Speaker 1: is about forgiveness. But if you think deeply enough, it
- 13:47Speaker 1: is about power. It is about power. Glory to God
- 13:56Speaker 1: and how you manage power. Jesus now has asserted some
- 14:02Speaker 1: ideas to which he has created some discomfort for Peter
- 14:06Speaker 1: because he is talking about unity. He is talking about
- 14:09Speaker 1: his presence being manifest through unity. And he says to them,
- 14:12Speaker 1: wherever two or three are gathered together in my name,
- 14:15Speaker 1: there am I in the midst of you. So let's
- 14:17Speaker 1: talk about unity. Unity has been brought up in the 127th,
- 14:22Speaker 1: I believe it is, divisions of Psalms. When it says,
- 14:24Speaker 1: behold how good and pleasant it is for brethren to
- 14:27Speaker 1: dwell together in unity. Now, scriptures like that bother me.
- 14:31Speaker 1: I like scriptures that come right to me. You know,
- 14:35Speaker 1: I'm going to bless you. I will bless them that
- 14:37Speaker 1: bless you. And curse him and curse you. I like
- 14:40Speaker 1: those kinds of scriptures. I don't like scriptures, communal, sociological
- 14:46Speaker 1: scriptures that are predicated upon other people. Because it's hard
- 14:50Speaker 1: enough for me to manage me without me having to
- 14:54Speaker 1: worry about your crazy self. But in spite of my proclivities,
- 15:01Speaker 1: the Holy Spirit has ignored me and made some promises
- 15:05Speaker 1: predicated upon my ability to interact with other people. So
- 15:10Speaker 1: he says, behold how good and pleasant it is for
- 15:14Speaker 1: brethren to dwell together in unity. It is like the oil.
- 15:18Speaker 1: Watch this. He says unity. Watch this. This is real important.
- 15:21Speaker 1: It is like the oil that fell upon the head
- 15:23Speaker 1: of Aaron. It fell upon his head onto his beard.
- 15:29Speaker 1: And then down to his skirts. So unity, the oil
- 15:34Speaker 1: flows based on connectivity. It flows based on connectivity. If
- 15:42Speaker 1: you break the connectivity, you stop the flow. If you
- 15:47Speaker 1: stop the flow, you lose the blessing. He said, if
- 15:51Speaker 1: you keep the flow going. At the end of the verse,
- 15:54Speaker 1: he does two metaphors. He says, behold how good and
- 15:58Speaker 1: pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity.
- 16:00Speaker 1: It is like the oil that fell upon the head
- 16:02Speaker 1: of Aaron, onto his beards, and onto his skirts. That's one.
- 16:04Speaker 1: He said, it is like the dew that fell upon
- 16:07Speaker 1: Mount Hermon. And then he says, for it is there
- 16:11Speaker 1: that God commands a blessing. Now, I just want to
- 16:16Speaker 1: spend a minute on this. He commands a blessing. Only
- 16:20Speaker 1: God can command a blessing. You can ask for a blessing,
- 16:25Speaker 1: but God can command a blessing. You plead for blessings.
- 16:30Speaker 1: God commands a blessing. I want you to see this
- 16:34Speaker 1: because this. This is good. I'm going to take a
- 16:36Speaker 1: little time, but I want you to see that he
- 16:38Speaker 1: commands a blessing. When the centurion was taking Jesus to
- 16:43Speaker 1: his house to heal his daughter, he stopped in the
- 16:45Speaker 1: middle of the road and said, you don't have to
- 16:46Speaker 1: go to my house. He said, I understand power. I
- 16:50Speaker 1: am a man in authority and under authority. I say
- 16:53Speaker 1: to this one, go here. I say to that one,
- 16:55Speaker 1: go there. He says, you don't have to come to
- 16:58Speaker 1: my house. Speak the word only and my daughter shall
- 17:02Speaker 1: be healed. What the centurion understands, he doesn't understand religion.
- 17:07Speaker 1: He doesn't understand theology. He doesn't come from a rich
- 17:10Speaker 1: Judaistic background. He understands power. He says you have too
- 17:15Speaker 1: much power for me to take up your time coming
- 17:18Speaker 1: to my house. All you have to do is command
- 17:23Speaker 1: a blessing. If you speak the word, my daughter will
- 17:28Speaker 1: be healed. Glory to God. I'm going to dig down
- 17:30Speaker 1: in that a little bit deeper. I would command a
- 17:34Speaker 1: blessing if I knew how to speak to the blessing.
- 17:39Speaker 1: I don't speak the language that the blessing speaks. God
- 17:44Speaker 1: speaks all languages, A. B, he has all authority. So
- 17:50Speaker 1: not only does he have the authority to command, he
- 17:53Speaker 1: has the ability to communicate. Even if I have the
- 17:57Speaker 1: authority to command the blessing, how do I speak to it?
- 18:00Speaker 1: How do I tell healing to go? What language does
- 18:03Speaker 1: healing speak? But because God is so multilingual. You understand
- 18:09Speaker 1: what I'm saying? Watch this. Your God is so multilingual
- 18:12Speaker 1: that when he got ready to command a curse, he
- 18:15Speaker 1: spoke to the frogs. If you were going to speak
- 18:19Speaker 1: to the frogs, how would you say it? I don't
- 18:24Speaker 1: know what he did, but whatever frogs understand, God spoke
- 18:30Speaker 1: to the frogs and they immediately went against their nature.
- 18:35Speaker 2: Got together in groups and moved.
- 18:37Speaker 1: Into Egypt as an army because God commanded the frogs.
- 18:43Speaker 1: Oh my God. God commands. When the Bible says God
- 18:47Speaker 1: commands a blessing, he can speak to the blessing and say, blessing,
- 18:52Speaker 1: go there. Blessing, come here. Blessing, go to her. Blessing,
- 18:57Speaker 1: move over there. He commands a blessing. He is the
- 19:01Speaker 1: Lord of the harvest. He is Lord of all or
- 19:05Speaker 1: he's not Lord at all. So God said, if you
- 19:08Speaker 1: want me to command a blessing, Be careful how you
- 19:12Speaker 1: treat your associations because I will command blessings based on
- 19:18Speaker 1: how you treat your association. I'm going to deal with this.
- 19:22Speaker 1: I'm going to deal with this. It's going to get
- 19:24Speaker 1: good in a minute. So Jesus says to them, this
- 19:28Speaker 1: is how the kingdom operates. This is the job of
- 19:31Speaker 1: the church to teach you how the kingdom operates. The
- 19:34Speaker 1: world has all kinds of vehicles to teach you how
- 19:37Speaker 1: the world operates. You got CNN, you got Fox, you
- 19:39Speaker 1: got MSNBC, you got newspapers, you got emails, you got
- 19:43Speaker 1: all kinds of ways to keep up with how the
- 19:45Speaker 1: world operates. And if you want to just operate in
- 19:48Speaker 1: the world, you don't need me but if you want
- 19:52Speaker 1: to find out how the kingdom operates it's my job
- 19:55Speaker 1: to show you this is how the kingdom operates somebody
- 19:59Speaker 1: say this is how the kingdom operates yeah now understand
- 20:04Speaker 1: that the kingdom operates through totally differently than how the
- 20:08Speaker 1: world operates so the Bible says you can be in
- 20:12Speaker 1: the world but you are not of the world you
- 20:16Speaker 1: won't get blessed the way the world gets blessed because
- 20:19Speaker 1: you are in it but you are not of it
- 20:22Speaker 1: and anytime you go in amongst a group of people
- 20:25Speaker 1: that you are in but you are not of you
- 20:28Speaker 1: don't get the same reaction like the people do who
- 20:31Speaker 1: are of it do you understand what I'm saying You
- 20:34Speaker 1: can come to my house and I'll treat you real
- 20:36Speaker 1: good and you'll be treated real nice, but you're not
- 20:38Speaker 1: going to feel like one of my kids. You're in
- 20:41Speaker 1: my house, but you're not of my house. And sooner
- 20:43Speaker 1: or later, I'm not saying you got to go home,
- 20:46Speaker 1: but you got to get up out of here. Okay?
- 20:50Speaker 1: That's what it's like being a believer. You are in
- 20:53Speaker 1: the world, but you are not of the world. They
- 20:56Speaker 1: may be nice to you sometimes, but sooner are going
- 20:59Speaker 1: to get tired of you because you are not one
- 21:03Speaker 1: of them. So my job is to teach you how
- 21:07Speaker 1: the kingdom operates. And since the kingdom that we operate
- 21:10Speaker 1: in is spiritual and not physical, I have to use
- 21:14Speaker 1: things you can relate to to explain things you can't
- 21:18Speaker 1: relate to. And so Jesus says the kingdom of heaven
- 21:22Speaker 1: operates like this. It is likened unto a Lord who
- 21:27Speaker 1: began to balance the books of his servant and finding
- 21:31Speaker 1: a certain servant that owed him 10,000 talents. He said,
- 21:37Speaker 1: can he pay me? And the bookkeeper said, no, he
- 21:40Speaker 1: has no way to pay you. So he said, we
- 21:42Speaker 1: got to balance these books. We got to make this right.
- 21:46Speaker 1: We got to fix this. I cannot continue to be
- 21:50Speaker 1: in a relationship with you that functions at a deficit.
- 21:57Speaker 1: That's the world unto itself. I'm just going to walk
- 22:00Speaker 1: away from that and leave that alone. Because if I
- 22:03Speaker 1: get over in that, it's going to make me hone
- 22:05Speaker 1: in on all the deficient relationships that operate in your
- 22:09Speaker 1: life where you're giving more than you're getting. I don't
- 22:11Speaker 1: have time to talk about that today. But just put
- 22:13Speaker 1: a footnote there. To be continued.
- 22:17Speaker 3: Okay.
- 22:18Speaker 1: So he said, I cannot continue to operate at a deficit.
- 22:20Speaker 1: He said, I am going to fix this. I don't
- 22:23Speaker 1: care what it costs. Sell him. like the slaves, sell
- 22:30Speaker 1: him and his wife and his children. He must have
- 22:37Speaker 1: owed a lot of money. It's hard for me to
- 22:40Speaker 1: conceive exactly what 10,000 talents are, whether it's $ 10, 000 or
- 22:43Speaker 1: $ 10 million, whatever it is. He said, you owe more
- 22:46Speaker 1: than you worth. I'm going to have to sell you
- 22:49Speaker 1: and your mom and them in order to straighten out
- 22:51Speaker 1: this mess you got here because you are in over
- 22:54Speaker 1: your head.
- 22:56Speaker 3: Okay?
- 22:59Speaker 1: So now, that's pretty bad. It's one thing for you
- 23:02Speaker 1: to sell me. I'm not really cool on that. But
- 23:04Speaker 1: then you're going to sell my wife too? You're going
- 23:07Speaker 1: to sell my wife too? And that means her association
- 23:10Speaker 1: with me has brought her into debt. That means that
- 23:17Speaker 1: whoever you connect yourself to, whatever they are into, you
- 23:21Speaker 1: are connected into it too. Whether you were in the
- 23:24Speaker 1: original part of the debt or not, your association with
- 23:28Speaker 1: me has now brought you into an atmosphere for which
- 23:31Speaker 1: you may have been totally irresponsible, but now you got
- 23:34Speaker 1: to pay to the piper. So see you, baby. You
- 23:36Speaker 1: got to die. Stay tuned. I've got more for you
- 23:39Speaker 1: in just a moment. What do you do with the
- 23:43Speaker 1: fire that will not go away?
- 23:45Speaker 3: The wait is over. God wants to use you in
- 23:47Speaker 3: extraordinary ways now. Great things are ahead of you. You're
- 23:51Speaker 3: on the verge.
- 23:51Speaker 1: You are not just going from day to day, week
- 23:53Speaker 1: to week, month to month, and now you're getting ready
- 23:55Speaker 1: to step into another year. You are standing on the cusp.
- 23:59Speaker 1: of an entirely new awakening. There's a burning desire down
- 24:04Speaker 1: inside of you that will not shut up. I got
- 24:07Speaker 1: the pain, but I got the passion too. I got
- 24:10Speaker 1: the problem, but I got the passion too. I got
- 24:13Speaker 1: a little chatter going on, but I still got the passion.
- 24:16Speaker 1: Life is going to hand you something every day. Take
- 24:19Speaker 1: in what you can get out of it. Let go
- 24:22Speaker 1: of what you can't get out of it. But don't
- 24:24Speaker 1: let anybody hurt you so bad that you shall.
- 24:29Speaker 3: The wait is over. It's time to make your life count.
- 24:32Speaker 3: Order The Verge today. Visit our website or call 1-800-BISHOP-2.
- 24:42Speaker 3: Long before the season of trials, God already provided what
- 24:46Speaker 3: you need. Exit strategies. There is a way out. Mrs.
- 24:50Speaker 2: Jakes, she said, I know this is painful, but when
- 24:54Speaker 2: you get the.
- 24:55Speaker 1: Next pain, push!
- 24:58Speaker 3: Push!
- 25:00Speaker 2: I know what you're going through is painful. But when
- 25:05Speaker 2: you get your next pain, push.
- 25:08Speaker 3: For your best gift, receive active strategies plus three prayer
- 25:11Speaker 3: journals in your darkest hour. How can you not feel trapped?
- 25:16Speaker 1: Wherever Jesus is, there will be a resurrection. Wherever Jesus is,
- 25:22Speaker 1: somebody's going to get up. Somebody's going to get out.
- 25:27Speaker 1: Somebody's going to get loose.
- 25:32Speaker 3: And for your gift of $ 150 or more, we'll add
- 25:35Speaker 3: a resurrection candle holder set with communion kit when you
- 25:38Speaker 3: visit our website or call 1-800-BISHOP-2.
- 25:42Speaker 1: Times are changing. We must equip the church to be
- 25:45Speaker 1: effective and ensure no church is left behind.
- 25:48Speaker 3: This conference was awful.
- 25:49Speaker 1: The change. It's amazing. You can't be out there like
- 25:52Speaker 1: a long ranger trying to train yourself. Wisdom that all
- 25:55Speaker 1: of the workshops gave out.
- 25:57Speaker 3: Extraordinary. We brought about 40 people down from our church.
- 26:00Speaker 1: Clean some things here and then take it back to
- 26:02Speaker 1: the ministry.
- 26:02Speaker 3: Training to be equipped.
- 26:04Speaker 1: Put it in your budget because it's well worth the travel.
- 26:06Speaker 1: Very excited.
- 26:07Speaker 3: We'll be back.
- 26:07Speaker 1: Join us for our Pastors in Leadership Conference 2013. Get ready,
- 26:12Speaker 1: get ready, get ready. I am so excited to be
- 26:15Speaker 1: able to offer something for your entire family. Yes, Woman
- 26:19Speaker 1: Dollar Moose and Man Power want to converge in the
- 26:22Speaker 1: city of Dallas at the same time. But not only that,
- 26:25Speaker 1: we are planning all kinds of activities for your children,
- 26:28Speaker 1: for your grandchildren, activities for your family. Come to Dallas, Texas.
- 26:33Speaker 1: Megafest is going to be absolutely awesome where you can
- 26:36Speaker 1: have a good time. The only way you can get
- 26:48Speaker 1: the future breath of what you do need is to
- 26:54Speaker 1: let go of what you don't. Touch everybody you can
- 27:04Speaker 1: reach and say, let it go, let it go, let
- 27:05Speaker 1: it go. Your life depends on it. Your future depends
- 27:13Speaker 1: on it. Your destiny depends on it. Your miracle depends
- 27:16Speaker 1: on it. Your children depend on it. Everything God promised
- 27:20Speaker 1: you depends on your ability to let it go. If
- 27:23Speaker 1: you hold on to stuff, you choke. If you release stuff,
- 27:27Speaker 1: you can keep breathing. What are you talking about, T.D. Jakes?
- 27:31Speaker 1: We've been to Africa. We've been to Israel. We've taken
- 27:34Speaker 1: a biology class. What in the world are you talking about?
- 27:38Speaker 1: I'm talking about life is going to hand you something
- 27:40Speaker 1: every day.
- 27:41Speaker 2: Take in what you can.
- 27:42Speaker 1: Get out of it.
- 27:43Speaker 2: Let go of what you can't get.
- 27:44Speaker 3: Out of it.
- 27:45Speaker 2: Take in what you can get.
- 27:47Speaker 1: Out of it. Let go of what you can't get
- 27:49Speaker 1: out of it. But don't let anybody hurt you so
- 27:52Speaker 1: bad that you choke. We've got to close right now,
- 27:58Speaker 1: but it's been a joy. It's been a real blessing
- 28:00Speaker 1: to share the word of the Lord with you. I'm
- 28:02Speaker 1: excited about it. I'm closing out this message, but the
- 28:06Speaker 1: word will continue to regurgitate itself in your heart and
- 28:09Speaker 1: in your spirit and bring forth fruit in your life.
- 28:12Speaker 1: This is a rhema word. I pray that it find
- 28:16Speaker 1: its way into the deepest crevice of your heart. Have
- 28:19Speaker 1: a great week.
