- 0:31Speaker 2: It is time to believe your worries outside in life with
- 0:35Speaker 2: us inside the Treehouse. I'm Dan ol Maley along with
- 0:38Speaker 2: Trade Trendholm and Raj Sharma. Welcome to the show. Happy
- 0:43Speaker 2: to Wali, Raj, thank you so much. It was yesterday,
- 0:46Speaker 2: Thank you so much. Well tell that to my iPhone calendar.
- 0:49Speaker 2: It says it's Tuesday twentieth. Whatever. What's the is today? Happy,
- 1:00Speaker 2: Happy New Year? Okay, thank you? All right, Look, let's
- 1:06Speaker 2: be honest. There are a number of ways to introduce
- 1:09Speaker 2: this first topic today inside the Treehouse, but my sights
- 1:12Speaker 2: kept returning back to one, and that is this. This
- 1:16Speaker 2: is why I have guns. Okay, Like I said, there
- 1:20Speaker 2: is no way around it, but this is why I
- 1:22Speaker 2: have guns.
- 1:26Speaker 3: Oh but this was no nightmare. It was a reality
- 1:35Speaker 3: for one Alexandria family. It happened around ten pm Tuesday
- 1:40Speaker 3: near Duke in South Jordan Streets in Alexandria.
- 1:43Speaker 4: At first, I thought it was just a Halloween joke,
- 1:45Speaker 4: a little prank, so I say Happy Halloween.
- 1:48Speaker 3: Shela said she thought they'd believe, but they didn't, so
- 1:50Speaker 3: She called nine one one and told them cops were
- 1:52Speaker 3: on the way, but the trio seemed unfazed.
- 1:55Speaker 4: And they kept like knocking on the door. The knocks
- 1:57Speaker 4: will get harder and harder. When they threatened se Kylas.
- 2:01Speaker 5: When they couldn't get in through the front, she says,
- 2:03Speaker 5: they came around back.
- 2:04Speaker 4: This whole thing they broke down, as you could tell.
- 2:06Speaker 5: She showed us the damage. So did they actually go
- 2:09Speaker 5: in there?
- 2:09Speaker 4: Oh yes, ma'am. They hopped up on here and they
- 2:11Speaker 4: came through.
- 2:11Speaker 1: She says.
- 2:12Speaker 5: They went right up to the glass.
- 2:13Speaker 4: They were just hitting the window.
- 2:15Speaker 3: She says they finally leaped after about ten minutes. Police
- 2:17Speaker 3: were at their home Wednesday.
- 2:19Speaker 5: She says, this is not a joke.
- 2:20Speaker 4: It's not even a joke gone wrong. They tried to
- 2:23Speaker 4: enter into the home. Like my heart dropped when they
- 2:26Speaker 4: say that they were going to take a chair and
- 2:28Speaker 4: break down the door. That is just too much.
- 2:30Speaker 5: She says. It's left their whole family shaken up, especially
- 2:33Speaker 5: her mother.
- 2:34Speaker 4: My dad recently just died, so it was just like,
- 2:35Speaker 4: I'm just glad I was there. Now she's in fear.
- 2:39Speaker 4: She don't want to stay there by herself.
- 2:40Speaker 5: She says this could have ended much differently.
- 2:42Speaker 4: It could have been bad.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Mm hmm.
- 2:45Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 2:45Speaker 2: Had this been in Texas, this would have ended very
- 2:47Speaker 2: badly for the three guys outside.
- 2:51Speaker 1: I would have looked like the Texas Lottery girl with
- 2:53Speaker 1: the little bubbles that have been like nine, twelve, twenty two,
- 2:57Speaker 1: thirty eight, three eighty.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Geezrey, What all those numbers have in common? Oh, that's right,
- 3:07Speaker 2: those are calibers the Caliber Lottery. Congratulations, you're a winner.
- 3:13Speaker 2: You're a winner. Woo you get a night, you get
- 3:15Speaker 2: a twenty two. Just a bit, just because I'm an
- 3:17Speaker 2: a hole.
- 3:18Speaker 7: Is gonna pop everyone. Not a winner, not a winner,
- 3:22Speaker 7: not a winner.
- 3:24Speaker 2: It is terrifying though, because when I first saw this
- 3:26Speaker 2: video the other day, it's like, oh, this is bad
- 3:28Speaker 2: because you've got three guys standing outside a home. It's
- 3:31Speaker 2: the black and white ring camera, and the three guys
- 3:34Speaker 2: are all dressed up in creepy Halloween costumes. One is
- 3:37Speaker 2: dressed up in a scary clown, which is bad enough
- 3:40Speaker 2: on his own, but then he brought his friends Michael
- 3:42Speaker 2: Myers and the screepy and the creepy scary witch lady
- 3:47Speaker 2: with him, and then it is crazy about this new story.
- 3:50Speaker 2: In addition to all of it. Besides the visuals is
- 3:54Speaker 2: the fact that they're outside for ten minutes, for ten minutes,
- 3:58Speaker 2: for ten minutes, these three wackos are outside dressed a
- 4:00Speaker 2: scary Halloween characters trying to break into this woman's home.
- 4:04Speaker 2: And I know it's trite, and I said it already,
- 4:06Speaker 2: but this story ends very differently if this is in
- 4:09Speaker 2: Texas instead of Virginia. Also, this story ends very differently
- 4:13Speaker 2: if this is outside my house, because if this is
- 4:15Speaker 2: my house, I would run to my closet and put
- 4:18Speaker 2: on my finest suit because I'm about to live out
- 4:21Speaker 2: my John Wick fever dream. Because my costume beats their costume,
- 4:29Speaker 2: especially in a firefight in real life. Yeah, it beats
- 4:33Speaker 2: their costume, mostly to death with the bull of a Benelli.
- 4:39Speaker 7: But it's they were out there for ten minutes and
- 4:41Speaker 7: no police showed up.
- 4:44Speaker 2: Yeah, apparently response times are down across the country because
- 4:47Speaker 2: it was the next day. That's when they showed up.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Was the next morning. Yeah, the guys, the guys are
- 4:53Speaker 2: outside for ten minutes. I don't know if it's because, look,
- 4:57Speaker 2: the police already have a difficult job. Nine to one
- 4:59Speaker 2: one up raiders already have immensely difficult jobs. I don't
- 5:03Speaker 2: know if that call gets put out differently, if she's screaming,
- 5:08Speaker 2: someone has broken into my home and they're here as
- 5:11Speaker 2: opposed to guys are outside dressed as Halloween characters. So
- 5:15Speaker 2: you know, they may not have seen it as being
- 5:17Speaker 2: any real danger and it ended up as not being
- 5:20Speaker 2: any real danger to their physical person. But it is
- 5:24Speaker 2: terrifying as you know the.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Victim, Well, there's yeah, it would have he It would
- 5:32Speaker 1: have scared me the hell out of me, just if
- 5:34Speaker 1: the people are that crazy in this day and age
- 5:36Speaker 1: to do that. But the minute they started jimmying like
- 5:39Speaker 1: the screw with the handle of the door, that that
- 5:44Speaker 1: changes everything.
- 5:45Speaker 2: Yeah, that to me is more of a than my
- 5:48Speaker 2: back door. Yep, I heard it. Yep. Did you hear
- 5:52Speaker 2: it when you said it? Yeah, but I finished the
- 5:54Speaker 2: sentence anyway. I was committed. I wanted to see it through.
- 5:58Speaker 7: Yeah, but that's lot of assumption because let's say the
- 6:02Speaker 7: call got dispatched, however, and something tragic does happen. Oh yeah,
- 6:07Speaker 7: the lawsuit that is on their hands absolutely is. I mean,
- 6:12Speaker 7: she might they might as well name it after the
- 6:14Speaker 7: police department, after her or the.
- 6:15Speaker 2: City as well, and the new law that would go
- 6:19Speaker 2: into effect.
- 6:20Speaker 7: Yeah, because that is that was weird that you know
- 6:24Speaker 7: that nobody showed up because they and they and they waited.
- 6:27Speaker 2: Even though they were threatened with being with the police.
- 6:29Speaker 7: Being on the phone, they still stayed outside. I guess
- 6:32Speaker 7: they knew that there weren't any police coming. It also
- 6:35Speaker 7: depends on the neighborhoods. Some neighborhoods cops don't want to
- 6:37Speaker 7: go into.
- 6:40Speaker 2: So there's any number of things that could have gone wrong.
- 6:45Speaker 2: There is twenty three seconds left on this story, so
- 6:48Speaker 2: I'm curious to see if this reporter actually went to
- 6:53Speaker 2: the police to get some type of statement as she
- 6:56Speaker 2: should have.
- 6:58Speaker 4: I Second Amendment right not used and could have been
- 7:02Speaker 4: like being very transparent.
- 7:04Speaker 5: To the people behind these masks.
- 7:06Speaker 4: That was given grown grown up activity. The timeframe alone
- 7:09Speaker 4: ten o'clock at night to knock on someone's door and
- 7:12Speaker 4: costume is never okay. Halloween not Halloween. It's never okay now.
- 7:18Speaker 2: If anything, it actually means because it is Halloween, everyone's
- 7:22Speaker 2: sensitivities are heightened. So if you're not acting in a
- 7:27Speaker 2: normal Halloween fashion, but instead you're acting more like the
- 7:30Speaker 2: character you're dressed up as, then we're all gonna live
- 7:33Speaker 2: out some type of a movie. That's why I always
- 7:37Speaker 2: dress as a sexy nurse.
- 7:44Speaker 8: No one shoots the sexy nurse, not at all, at
- 7:47Speaker 8: least not with a gun.
- 7:57Speaker 2: I guarantee the police show up on that call. Swat team, squad, motorcycles,
- 8:11Speaker 2: canines are showing up because they want some to.
- 8:17Speaker 8: This was a bad idea. I should have just gone
- 8:24Speaker 8: as doctor sy Okay, Yeah, I was trying to see,
- 8:35Speaker 8: uh where the bumper button is.
- 8:47Speaker 1: I was trying to see if what if the police
- 8:49Speaker 1: said anything. Did they uh they talk about you know,
- 8:53Speaker 1: it's interesting. It really doesn't mention a nine to one
- 8:55Speaker 1: call in the story.
- 9:00Speaker 2: In the story that you read, of the one that
- 9:01Speaker 2: we just played.
- 9:04Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure I've got the same story, and it
- 9:06Speaker 1: really did mention a nine to one one call, which
- 9:07Speaker 1: is what's interesting. Yes, the police said I talked about
- 9:11Speaker 1: the dangers of doing stupid stuff like that in costumes.
- 9:17Speaker 2: I love that police statement, which is true, which is,
- 9:21Speaker 2: you know, play stupid games, win stuper prizes, and it's true.
- 9:25Speaker 2: Let me let me go back to the beginning of
- 9:27Speaker 2: this story. I'm curious to see if they actually mentioned
- 9:29Speaker 2: that they called.
- 9:30Speaker 6: Nine one one.
- 9:36Speaker 3: But this was no nightmare. It was a reality for
- 9:40Speaker 3: one Alexandria family. It happened around ten pm Tuesday near
- 9:45Speaker 3: Duke in South Jordan Streets in Alexandria.
- 9:48Speaker 4: At first, I thought it was just a Halloween joke,
- 9:49Speaker 4: a little prank, so I say Happy Halloween.
- 9:53Speaker 3: She Ala said she thought they'd believe, but they didn't.
- 9:55Speaker 3: So she called nine one one and told them comps
- 9:57Speaker 3: were on the way.
- 9:58Speaker 5: But the trio seemed unfazed.
- 10:00Speaker 4: And they kept like knocking on the door. The knocks
- 10:02Speaker 4: will get harder and harder, all.
- 10:03Speaker 2: Right, So she says she called nine one one, But
- 10:07Speaker 2: that's usually the part in the video package that the
- 10:11Speaker 2: reporter and the producer will put in an excerpt from
- 10:15Speaker 2: the nine to one one call, But that's definitely not
- 10:17Speaker 2: in this well.
- 10:21Speaker 1: And and also it goes to how you called nine
- 10:26Speaker 1: one one? If she just called said, hey, there's some
- 10:28Speaker 1: people in costumes at my door. That's not gonna get
- 10:31Speaker 1: you know. Hey, they're trying to break in. I'm about
- 10:35Speaker 1: to shoot somebody. Get someone over here quick.
- 10:37Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm about to get a Yeah. Well, if you
- 10:40Speaker 2: murdered Michael Myers, then I'm sure someone will will show up.
- 10:44Speaker 7: Or if she didn't call and she was just threatening
- 10:47Speaker 7: them by saying the police are on the phone.
- 10:50Speaker 2: And that it will run away. Yeah, because she because
- 10:52Speaker 2: she says to the reporter that she told the guys
- 10:55Speaker 2: that she called nine one one and threatened and said
- 10:58Speaker 2: the police are on their way. So I guess, ultimately,
- 11:03Speaker 2: do we smell a stinky here? Is this just a
- 11:07Speaker 2: BS story and that's why the police didn't show up.
- 11:10Speaker 2: That's why there's no nine to one one call in
- 11:12Speaker 2: this package.
- 11:14Speaker 7: No, but I've seen that, sorry, I've seen that happen before,
- 11:17Speaker 7: where somebody's like, Hey, I'm gonna I'm gonna call the
- 11:19Speaker 7: cops right now, and people will scurry, people will leave.
- 11:23Speaker 7: So I think that's what she was trying to do.
- 11:24Speaker 7: I legitimately think this happened to her. I think she
- 11:27Speaker 7: was just trying to scare them off with the threat
- 11:29Speaker 7: of the police being on the phone, and they didn't leave.
- 11:32Speaker 7: That's when she should have actually called the cops. Because
- 11:35Speaker 7: a eighteen hour response time is not it's not really good.
- 11:41Speaker 2: No, especially especially when someone is dressed up as a
- 11:44Speaker 2: scary nun doing the throat slash motion with their hand
- 11:47Speaker 2: out in front of your wing camera.
- 11:49Speaker 7: Did somebody accidentally send them an invite to the purge early?
- 11:54Speaker 2: You know, if anything be fashionably late.
- 12:08Speaker 6: You're in the Treehouse.
- 12:10Speaker 9: Visit us online at treehouseonair dot com.
- 12:15Speaker 2: Eight three three Cook DFW. That's one of my favorite
- 12:18Speaker 2: phone numbers. That's the one I called to Pester Daniel
- 12:21Speaker 2: and Carrie Cook whenever I feel like it. And you
- 12:23Speaker 2: can do that as well. They absolutely love it, especially
- 12:26Speaker 2: if you didn't get the last If you didn't get
- 12:28Speaker 2: last night's Loto numbers, they'll tell you that too. Eight
- 12:30Speaker 2: three three Cook DFW. They'd prefer to come out and
- 12:34Speaker 2: check your roof, check your property to see if there's
- 12:37Speaker 2: anything in need, and they'll be honest with you about it.
- 12:40Speaker 2: Eight three three Cook d FW. Daniel, do you play
- 12:43Speaker 2: the lottery? Honestly?
- 12:45Speaker 6: Not really?
- 12:46Speaker 10: No, very rarely buy a ticket here and there when
- 12:49Speaker 10: they get really big pots, But no, we're not a
- 12:51Speaker 10: very big gambling family in general at all.
- 12:54Speaker 2: You just love climbing on roofs and helping people.
- 12:57Speaker 10: That's it, I mean, And you wake up every morning
- 12:59Speaker 10: you go where can I go climb today?
- 13:03Speaker 2: For free?
- 13:05Speaker 10: I wonder how good of a rock climber I would
- 13:07Speaker 10: be I've never done that.
- 13:09Speaker 2: You go find out and make sure Carrie's recording it.
- 13:12Speaker 2: Perhaps live streaming it would even be better in case
- 13:14Speaker 2: you fall, and I would start with one of those
- 13:17Speaker 2: I think they call it bouldering. It's where instead of
- 13:19Speaker 2: starting with a mountain, you just start with a really
- 13:21Speaker 2: big rock and see if you can climb that. If
- 13:23Speaker 2: you can climb that, then you can graduate to bigger
- 13:27Speaker 2: and bigger rocks. Yeah.
- 13:28Speaker 10: I'm pretty confident in that though. I think that would
- 13:30Speaker 10: be kind of fun. At first, before going outside, I
- 13:34Speaker 10: was thinking about finding those rock walls or those wall
- 13:37Speaker 10: climbing things.
- 13:38Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 13:39Speaker 2: I think that's a great idea. I bet you're part monkey. Well,
- 13:46Speaker 2: now we got confirmation. Get this man on your roof
- 13:50Speaker 2: where he feels like he's in his natural habitat eight

- 14:36Speaker 6: Yay do that.
- 14:37Speaker 2: You can sign up for our email just going to
- 14:39Speaker 2: our website Treehouse on air dot com. That's Treehouse on
- 14:42Speaker 2: air dot com. And we'll organize that eventually. Also, we
- 14:47Speaker 2: have a no exciting contest that we are announcing this week,
- 14:49Speaker 2: so stay tuned right here inside the Treehouse for that.
- 14:53Speaker 2: All right, here we go back to the masked trio
- 14:56Speaker 2: attempting to break into this woman's house in Virginia, which
- 15:01Speaker 2: now I'm completely suspicious off by the way, because I
- 15:05Speaker 2: think there's at least three different ways that this could
- 15:07Speaker 2: have gone, depending on whether or not this was true.
- 15:12Speaker 2: If it's one hundred percent completely true, and she called
- 15:17Speaker 2: nine to one one on these guys outside, the story
- 15:21Speaker 2: in this story needs to be the response time of
- 15:23Speaker 2: the police. Okay, not just there were three guys on
- 15:26Speaker 2: a ring came outside this lady's door number two. If
- 15:30Speaker 2: there's a stinky, if there's a bit of a stinky
- 15:32Speaker 2: here about this all just being a hoax? Is this
- 15:40Speaker 2: is this a hoax, then that's something else that should
- 15:44Speaker 2: come with this story. And if she did not actually
- 15:47Speaker 2: call nine one one, is that because she's in on
- 15:51Speaker 2: the hoax? Or the third part is this sort of
- 15:55Speaker 2: a partial stinky, in which case the guys outside were real.
- 15:59Speaker 2: She's afraid, but she only threatens to call nine one
- 16:02Speaker 2: one but never does it.
- 16:05Speaker 1: I think there's a d that is she did call
- 16:09Speaker 1: nine one one, but she wasn't. It's not good audio
- 16:13Speaker 1: because she was calm. She was like, Hey, there's some
- 16:14Speaker 1: people that you know in costume kind of messing around
- 16:18Speaker 1: in the front yard. Can you send someone over here?
- 16:20Speaker 2: And and let's play this out. Trey, here we go.
- 16:24Speaker 2: I haven't done a nine one one call on the
- 16:25Speaker 2: fly here in quite a while, So Trey, you'll be
- 16:28Speaker 2: the complainant and I'll be the nine one one call operator.
- 16:33Speaker 2: See how do they used to do that with Hello, Hm,
- 16:38Speaker 2: Treehouse ninety one one, what's your emergency?
- 16:41Speaker 1: Hey, we've got some kids out front that are that
- 16:44Speaker 1: are messing with our house and they keep bringing on
- 16:46Speaker 1: our doorbell and uh, but they're not running away. Can
- 16:50Speaker 1: you send somebody.
- 16:53Speaker 2: With candy wine? Because this sounds like trick or treaters, sir.
- 16:58Speaker 1: Yeah, but it's not Halloween. We're not doing trigger treating.
- 17:01Speaker 1: And they're just and and they're they're kind of messing
- 17:04Speaker 1: with the door handle. Yeah. I think they're trying to
- 17:07Speaker 1: be cute and scary.
- 17:08Speaker 2: But well that is how most children act on Halloween,
- 17:11Speaker 2: cute and or it's scary. You said they're not going
- 17:14Speaker 2: you don't interrupt me, sir, I'm the nine one one operator.
- 17:16Speaker 2: You said that they're they're asking for candy or have
- 17:18Speaker 2: they made any demands at all?
- 17:20Speaker 1: They want us to come outside, and they're threatening and
- 17:22Speaker 1: they're grown men.
- 17:24Speaker 2: How do you know they're grown men.
- 17:27Speaker 1: Because they're over six feet tall and they have fairly
- 17:30Speaker 1: deep voices.
- 17:32Speaker 2: Well, have you ever seen those cartoons while all the
- 17:34Speaker 2: children stand on each other's shoulders?
- 17:36Speaker 1: Are you?
- 17:36Speaker 2: Are you sure they're not just doing that and playing
- 17:38Speaker 2: Halloween prank on you?
- 17:39Speaker 1: Have you ever seen those cartoons where the bad guy
- 17:41Speaker 1: gets filled with holes like Swiss cheese?
- 17:44Speaker 2: Yeah, those are my favorite.
- 17:47Speaker 1: To send someone.
- 17:47Speaker 2: Quick, we'll just go ahead and see the coroner anyway. Yeah,
- 17:56Speaker 2: I see your point there, Trey. That's and again that's
- 17:59Speaker 2: where we go back to Hey, journalism one on one
- 18:01Speaker 2: follow up with the police department. Did do you have
- 18:04Speaker 2: a nine one one call on record from this person?
- 18:08Speaker 1: Here's the thing is, and this is why I bet
- 18:10Speaker 1: they did. I think the ring camera made for spectacular video.
- 18:15Speaker 1: The nine to one called on one call did not,
- 18:18Speaker 1: And so that's why they have a story just with
- 18:21Speaker 1: that ring I mean, think about how many this thing's
- 18:22Speaker 1: been all over the news. I mean it's I said,
- 18:27Speaker 1: it made good, good video. I just I think because honestly,
- 18:32Speaker 1: if they had been frantic calling nine one one and
- 18:35Speaker 1: no one showed up till hours later, that would be
- 18:38Speaker 1: part of the story.
- 18:39Speaker 2: It should be. So I wonder, if you're right, I
- 18:41Speaker 2: wonder if the TV crew was so turned on by
- 18:48Speaker 2: the video of the ring camera they forgot about all
- 18:51Speaker 2: the rest of journalism about following up with the authorities
- 18:54Speaker 2: in a police matter. I like, basically, as soon as
- 18:58Speaker 2: they got the ring camera foot is downloaded into the
- 19:01Speaker 2: news truck outside, they splooshed so much that the van
- 19:05Speaker 2: was washed away in a flash flood, and they forgot
- 19:08Speaker 2: to call the police and say, hey, do you hear
- 19:10Speaker 2: anything about this?
- 19:10Speaker 1: No, they got statement, their statements from the police in there.
- 19:13Speaker 1: The chief of police gave a statement That's what I'm saying.
- 19:17Speaker 2: Is huh, and what did what did? What did the
- 19:19Speaker 2: chiefs say?
- 19:21Speaker 1: Basically, you know, be careful when trigger treating, don't don't
- 19:25Speaker 1: go messing around and go too far something like that.
- 19:28Speaker 1: I mean, uh, it's like I said, they got a statement.
- 19:32Speaker 1: I just I think the nine to one one call
- 19:34Speaker 1: was very anti climatic. And that's why this isn't a
- 19:37Speaker 1: story about response times.
- 19:43Speaker 7: Because she mentions one, and I mean she could have
- 19:45Speaker 7: shot them. She says that out loud. She shows the
- 19:48Speaker 7: damage where they did break stuff in I mean, like
- 19:50Speaker 7: they broke the fence.
- 19:52Speaker 2: So there's my theory. There's my theory. My theory is
- 19:57Speaker 2: she's had a broken fence for a long time and
- 19:59Speaker 2: she finally came up with your creative way to get
- 20:02Speaker 2: it fixed.
- 20:04Speaker 7: That's a very elaborate way of doing that, especially when
- 20:07Speaker 7: there's a child in the house.
- 20:09Speaker 2: As a child, where's the child? She mentions her daughter
- 20:13Speaker 2: in the story, doesn't she she's terrified. She doesn't want to.
- 20:16Speaker 2: I can mention cake next to me that the me
- 20:18Speaker 2: is sitting there.
- 20:21Speaker 7: Now you're trying to find that now you're trying to
- 20:23Speaker 7: make the story false.
- 20:25Speaker 2: Yes, I'm just saying, Look, people have done way worse.
- 20:30Speaker 2: People have concocted horrific, made up things just for attention.
- 20:35Speaker 2: All I'm saying is that it is possible. She mentions
- 20:38Speaker 2: a kid. We don't see a kid, she says, she
- 20:40Speaker 2: calls nine one one. We don't hear a nine one
- 20:42Speaker 2: one call. She says, she could have shot them, but
- 20:46Speaker 2: we don't know that.
- 20:49Speaker 7: Right, that's a that's a very elaborate. So the amount
- 20:53Speaker 7: of money gone into this hoax could have paid.
- 20:55Speaker 2: For the fence. Actually everything she did was free. Well,
- 21:00Speaker 2: the guys that are in the costume, they have to
- 21:04Speaker 2: buy all of that stuff. Well, see what what they
- 21:06Speaker 2: what they do is they go get a part time
- 21:08Speaker 2: job at the haunted house in the costume tame. Here
- 21:10Speaker 2: we go. Now here's what it happened was we're all
- 21:14Speaker 2: working at spirit just just a week can get a
- 21:17Speaker 2: fence fixed and not have to pay for it and
- 21:21Speaker 2: make fifteen dollars an hour. Couldn't you have just paid
- 21:24Speaker 2: for that with the money you made?
- 21:25Speaker 4: Nah?
- 21:25Speaker 2: Man, that's crazy? Well are you talking foolish?
- 21:31Speaker 1: And I'd like to circle a back around to a
- 21:34Speaker 1: statement you made earlier about your back door getting broken into.

- 23:26Speaker 2: So the ring doorbell camera of the masked trio outside
- 23:29Speaker 2: trying to get inside that home in Virginia reminded me
- 23:33Speaker 2: of one of the scariest movies I've seen. To me,
- 23:37Speaker 2: the scariest movie I've seen came out and I think
- 23:40Speaker 2: it was two thousand and eight or two thousand and nine,
- 23:42Speaker 2: starring Liv Tyler The Strangers, and make sure I got
- 23:48Speaker 2: that so it was co starring Scott Speedman. Yeah, came
- 23:53Speaker 2: out in two thousand and eight. The Strangers, Liv Tyler,
- 23:56Speaker 2: Scott Speedman, James Hoyt, and Kristen McKay visit an i'slated
- 24:00Speaker 2: vacation home to enjoy some time together. However, they're in
- 24:03Speaker 2: for a rude surprise when three masked assailants make their
- 24:07Speaker 2: stay a nightmare. Have you guys seen this? No, I
- 24:11Speaker 2: think you are the only one. No, I wasn't. No,
- 24:14Speaker 2: this is a great movie. You should see it. This
- 24:16Speaker 2: is not one of the like me saying going, no,
- 24:19Speaker 2: you should watch all five of the American Ninja movies
- 24:22Speaker 2: starring Michael Dudakov, of which he's not even in all
- 24:24Speaker 2: of them. I am simply saying The Strangers from two
- 24:29Speaker 2: thousand and eight is probably the scariest movie I've ever seen,
- 24:33Speaker 2: and I highly recommend it.
- 24:35Speaker 1: If you don't know this about me, I am a
- 24:37Speaker 1: total pussy when it comes to scary movies.
- 24:40Speaker 2: I appreciate you. I appreciate you being so vulnerable. Tray,
- 24:44Speaker 2: that's hilarious.
- 24:45Speaker 7: I would never pick that these two grown men with
- 24:47Speaker 7: guns are scared of scary movies. They make me laugh
- 24:51Speaker 7: because this is how I trust me. This is how
- 24:53Speaker 7: my brain works. I'm like, behind that camera is a
- 24:56Speaker 7: craft services table. That's how I look at it.
- 24:59Speaker 2: Like, there's nothing nice.
- 25:02Speaker 1: Scary.
- 25:03Speaker 2: I don't like gore. Okay, so you don't like blood
- 25:08Speaker 2: and guts and yeah, so The Strangers to me. The
- 25:13Speaker 2: reason why I said scariest is because it really is
- 25:17Speaker 2: a freakishly suspenseful film. It is exactly like the description
- 25:23Speaker 2: I gave a couple of goes to Basically, they go
- 25:26Speaker 2: to this vacation home out and you know, at the
- 25:28Speaker 2: edge of town, almost to the woods. Three strangers show
- 25:31Speaker 2: up wearing masks that in any other context would would
- 25:35Speaker 2: not be threatening or scary, but in this context they're terrifying.
- 25:40Speaker 2: And they're outside and they eventually start getting in and
- 25:43Speaker 2: things happen, and it's scary, it's suspenseful. And I mean
- 25:48Speaker 2: it when I say it really is one of the
- 25:49Speaker 2: scariest movies I've seen. And I appreciate that. And Raj,
- 25:52Speaker 2: I'm with you. There are some scary movies that also
- 25:55Speaker 2: will just make me laugh, and those are not scary
- 25:57Speaker 2: to me. Those that's like the slasher type stuff.
- 26:00Speaker 7: But even like the suspenseful stuff, I'm like, like, the
- 26:03Speaker 7: whole time I would be watching this movie, I'm like,
- 26:05Speaker 7: it's a damn shame Aerosmith isn't gonna tour anymore.
- 26:08Speaker 2: Like that's all I want. Does anyone else? Does anyone
- 26:12Speaker 2: in the theater know? Liv Tyler got her break in
- 26:15Speaker 2: an Aerosmith video after not long after she learned, Oh,
- 26:20Speaker 2: by the way, your dad Stephen Tyler of Aerosmith. She
- 26:23Speaker 2: was great in crying. Oh yeah, she was a phenomenal stripper.
- 26:29Speaker 2: Dad's video. Yeah, he must be so proud. There are
- 26:33Speaker 2: questions to be asked there, but that's a different segment.
- 26:36Speaker 2: But may I always may I ask this, why do
- 26:39Speaker 2: as as.
- 26:40Speaker 7: As white people, why is it always a cabin in
- 26:44Speaker 7: the woods where there's nobody else around and there's this
- 26:47Speaker 7: You get there and like, uh.
- 26:48Speaker 2: I don't I don't think I have cell service? What
- 26:50Speaker 2: what are you guys doing? What is this? Are you
- 26:53Speaker 2: asking about what we're doing in real life going to
- 26:55Speaker 2: a cabin or are you asking our predilection for films
- 26:58Speaker 2: about it? Yes? Yes, and yes, Look, I think as
- 27:04Speaker 2: people were scared, and this is true of me. We're
- 27:06Speaker 2: scared of the things that seem most realistic. Right, So
- 27:11Speaker 2: to me, this scenario of the strangers slash the mask
- 27:15Speaker 2: trio outside, that is scary because that is potentially real
- 27:19Speaker 2: that you know, Freddy Krueger as an adult Freddy Krueger
- 27:23Speaker 2: doesn't frighten me because I know he's not real. Same
- 27:27Speaker 2: with Jason the leprechauns real. Don't mess around with that.
- 27:31Speaker 2: That's bad. Is a tree? Yeah he is, and he's
- 27:33Speaker 2: watching you. I've I've seen the sketch of him. It's
- 27:36Speaker 2: very dangerous. Don't take his gold anyway. Those types of
- 27:42Speaker 2: things are legitimately frightening. Okay, and if you see the film,
- 27:46Speaker 2: I think you might feel differently. I don't know, Raj.
- 27:48Speaker 2: You might still giggle your way through The Strangers. You
- 27:50Speaker 2: might still think what did the Tyler have for lunch
- 27:52Speaker 2: with on the craft services table? I don't know. But Trey,
- 27:55Speaker 2: if if you are saying that you're you're a big
- 27:58Speaker 2: puss when it comes to scary movies, then please see
- 28:01Speaker 2: The Strangers or let me watch it with you.
- 28:04Speaker 1: Well, here's why I am a my dad who I
- 28:09Speaker 1: love him, God rest the soul. But he had horrible,
- 28:15Speaker 1: horrible judgment when it came to movies.
- 28:17Speaker 2: To take a trial too. Hang on, because I have
- 28:24Speaker 2: a theory on this. Was this after your parents split
- 28:29Speaker 2: he took you to the theater to questionable films? Or
- 28:31Speaker 2: is this when you're like your family was still.
- 28:35Speaker 1: Is the divorce did not change his poor judgment in movies?
- 28:39Speaker 4: Okay?
- 28:39Speaker 2: Never mind? It was always my dad saying I think
- 28:41Speaker 2: that I thought that was something. My theory was that
- 28:43Speaker 2: that was like a divorced dad thing. You take the
- 28:45Speaker 2: kid to go see whatever movie he wants because you
- 28:47Speaker 2: want to be cool. And that's how I saw Jason
- 28:50Speaker 2: takes Manhattan his.
- 28:52Speaker 7: Dad's like, we're gonna go to the Dad's like, we're
- 28:54Speaker 7: gonna go watch this movie called Kramer Versus Kramer.
- 28:56Speaker 2: I think it's a boxing movie walking out. That is
- 29:02Speaker 2: not what I expected. I'm so sorry, son, No, he
- 29:06Speaker 2: took me to.
- 29:07Speaker 1: So there's a Vincent Price movie called House of Wax.
- 29:10Speaker 2: Beautiful movie.
- 29:12Speaker 1: Okay when you're like four or five years old, petrifying.
- 29:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:17Speaker 7: Yeah, so you know, my family lived in England, so
- 29:19Speaker 7: my dad was a huge Vincent Price man.
- 29:21Speaker 2: I got to see the same thing.
- 29:22Speaker 7: Like when I was like, my Dad's like, you gotta
- 29:25Speaker 7: watch this movie, and like there's one where the girls,
- 29:27Speaker 7: like I.
- 29:27Speaker 2: Think the blonde girl that they he puts the first
- 29:29Speaker 2: one he puts in wax. I think she's topless. I
- 29:32Speaker 2: was like, hey, Dad's got great taste in movies. She melts. Gee, no,
- 29:41Speaker 2: wonder why you have such an awkward relationship with women.
- 29:45Speaker 2: I really I really like your skin. Can can I
- 29:48Speaker 2: pourt some candlehacks on it?
- 29:50Speaker 7: And just go back to what you were saying. I'm like, so,
- 29:52Speaker 7: because you guys do go to cabins like that. When
- 29:55Speaker 7: you're watching something like that, you're like, oh my gosh,
- 29:58Speaker 7: that could happen. See, we don't you want to scare me,
- 30:04Speaker 7: like have three intruders that are Hampton.
- 30:06Speaker 1: In Jehovah's Witnesses. You know some places where Indians go
- 30:19Speaker 1: or Dan it just shakes his ass, goes not my
- 30:21Speaker 1: back door.
- 30:24Speaker 2: All right, I'm gonna let you in, but I'm gonna
- 30:26Speaker 2: lace some brown rolls. First of all, Matt Mask stay
- 30:32Speaker 2: on and yeah, we are gonna layce some tart. But
- 30:37Speaker 2: not for the reasons you think.
- 30:40Speaker 1: Eye contact.
- 30:49Speaker 2: I rebooted the Strangers. It's very different from well, look
- 30:55Speaker 2: who picked the wrong house. That would be amazing. Just
- 31:01Speaker 2: imagine if you if you knew these guys are in
- 31:03Speaker 2: your neighborhood, the Mask Trio, and you decide to use
- 31:06Speaker 2: the strap on from seven and open up the front
- 31:09Speaker 2: door and say, come on in, Oh oh, where are
- 31:13Speaker 2: you going? Anyway? For all things Treehouse, Treehouseonair dot com.
