- 0:05Speaker 1: Hello, gorgeous, It is Laala Kent. Welcome back to the
- 0:09Speaker 1: Give Them La La Podcast. We are coming off of
- 0:12Speaker 1: an epic high because I have officially done my first
- 0:17Speaker 1: show of Give Them Lala Live at the brand new tour.
- 0:22Speaker 1: By the time we're having to pre record this episode
- 0:25Speaker 1: because we will be on the road, but by the
- 0:27Speaker 1: time this comes out, I will have done another show
- 0:30Speaker 1: in Fort Lauderdale and hopefully it goes as well as
- 0:35Speaker 1: the one I just did in Irvine.
- 0:37Speaker 2: I think, well, how do you feel about Irvine?
- 0:40Speaker 1: I feel great about Irvine. I was super nervous. We
- 0:46Speaker 1: did the rehearsal and I walked out on stage and
- 0:48Speaker 1: I'm like, They're like, you don't want to rehearse, and
- 0:50Speaker 1: I'm like, that's the thing is, I'm going to obviously
- 0:53Speaker 1: like we have a structure to the show, which by
- 0:57Speaker 1: the way, is very like Lucy Goose right now, because
- 1:00Speaker 1: it's my very first show. I've never done this in
- 1:03Speaker 1: my entire life, so this is the first show and
- 1:07Speaker 1: I want to give it my all, but it's also
- 1:09Speaker 1: going to be a learning experience. So thank you for
- 1:13Speaker 1: everyone who came out to Irvine, because you fucking slaved
- 1:16Speaker 1: my whole life. But it was hard during rehearsal because
- 1:18Speaker 1: I'm like, I'm literally talking to a bunch of empty chairs. Yeah,
- 1:21Speaker 1: and once I'm on stage and there's people, it's going
- 1:25Speaker 1: to be completely different and I'm going to feed off
- 1:27Speaker 1: of them. But I always request when I do any
- 1:31Speaker 1: talk show, even the live tour, I'm like, we have
- 1:34Speaker 1: to have tissues on stage because I tend to I
- 1:38Speaker 1: can be very lalla, but then there's a part of
- 1:41Speaker 1: me that always sinks back into like Lauren from Utah,
- 1:44Speaker 1: who can't believe that she's doing the things that she's
- 1:47Speaker 1: been able to do, and that like just like strikes
- 1:51Speaker 1: something in me to where I get hyper sensitive and emotional.
- 1:54Speaker 1: And it happened to me at the Irvine improv. It did.
- 1:58Speaker 3: There were tears and then people just like your people
- 2:01Speaker 3: are so great, just like cheering, like supporting you, loving you.
- 2:05Speaker 3: I saw the tears and then immediately people were like.
- 2:09Speaker 1: Why here are you? It was just so sweet. There
- 2:13Speaker 1: was a lot of support in that room and it
- 2:15Speaker 1: was sold out. Ocean made a little appearance and then
- 2:20Speaker 1: apparently she like wanted to come back on stage the
- 2:23Speaker 1: entire night she.
- 2:25Speaker 3: Did you guys, So she made an appearance with Lalla,
- 2:29Speaker 3: and then I was kind of bopping between like Lisa.
- 2:34Speaker 3: Gigi had Ocean sort of backstage, and she would bop
- 2:38Speaker 3: between backstage and in front of the stage, and then
- 2:41Speaker 3: same with me and Ocean would like after she went
- 2:44Speaker 3: on stage with her mama, she would like whine and
- 2:47Speaker 3: point to the stairs that led up to the stage
- 2:50Speaker 3: and then do like the waving signal with her hand,
- 2:53Speaker 3: because that's what she did to the audience, like waved,
- 2:56Speaker 3: and she found it so exciting. And the rest of
- 2:58Speaker 3: the night she was like she would like trying to
- 3:01Speaker 3: get back on stage.
- 3:02Speaker 1: She was a total hit. Yeah, And I had our
- 3:05Speaker 1: like tech guy play Bounce It. I know it's super inappropriate,
- 3:09Speaker 1: you guys when we're home. I've always played the edited version,
- 3:11Speaker 1: but last night I just had them play the far
- 3:15Speaker 1: from fart where it bounce it and then once five tens, twenties, yeah,
- 3:19Speaker 1: you know, and she did a little she did a
- 3:22Speaker 1: little dance. She I knew the second she would come
- 3:24Speaker 1: on stage and see everyone's face, she may get a
- 3:27Speaker 1: little like overwhelmed, the little just like whoa are all
- 3:33Speaker 1: of you? And I tried to put her down and
- 3:34Speaker 1: she clinged to me and it was adorable and she
- 3:38Speaker 1: was just the cutest And I'm like, I told Ocean,
- 3:41Speaker 1: if you perform tonight, then everyone is going to know
- 3:45Speaker 1: that it was a hit. Like I could literally go
- 3:48Speaker 1: out and bomb it, but because you did a great job,
- 3:51Speaker 1: it's going to be a hit. And she killed it.
- 3:55Speaker 3: And before the show actually even started, Gigi and I
- 4:00Speaker 3: Lala was like getting ready, and Gigi and I walked
- 4:02Speaker 3: her up to the curtain and she got to peek,
- 4:06Speaker 3: and so like a couple of the people in the
- 4:08Speaker 3: front row saw her and waved and.
- 4:10Speaker 2: She waved back. She did oh, she did yes and
- 4:12Speaker 2: loved it.
- 4:13Speaker 3: And they were like, oh, she was like wit to
- 4:16Speaker 3: trying to get out on stage.
- 4:18Speaker 1: She loved it. No, it was phenomenal. I had Brittany
- 4:22Speaker 1: and Kristen and Katie, and I loved the way that
- 4:26Speaker 1: I introduced them because I you know, it wasn't like
- 4:29Speaker 1: just one they all came out at once, or I
- 4:31Speaker 1: introduced them all at once. It was like a build
- 4:33Speaker 1: up and I didn't want anyone to know who was coming.
- 4:36Speaker 1: I still don't really want anyone to know what cities
- 4:39Speaker 1: and what guests I have. I just wanted to be
- 4:42Speaker 1: a surprise. Mostly I wanted to be a surprise, but
- 4:45Speaker 1: God forbid someone flakes yes, And by the way, that
- 4:49Speaker 1: person couldn't make it. It's something much cooler and better to do.
- 4:55Speaker 2: No, I think that the future. I think the future
- 4:59Speaker 2: guests will be fun.
- 5:00Speaker 1: You were great.
- 5:00Speaker 3: You were great with keeping it secret last night, like
- 5:03Speaker 3: Lalla snuck them in a back entrance. She wanted no
- 5:06Speaker 3: one to see them, and I think I think everyone
- 5:08Speaker 3: was surprised.
- 5:09Speaker 2: No one knew what they were there.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Do you think that I will feel as emotional in
- 5:15Speaker 1: every city or do you think that that will fade? No,
- 5:19Speaker 1: I don't think your emotions will fade at all. I
- 5:20Speaker 1: think you're.
- 5:21Speaker 3: Gonna be probably even if you don't cry, it's just
- 5:25Speaker 3: because it's different people, different venue, a different and new
- 5:29Speaker 3: experience in every city. So I think maybe you cried
- 5:34Speaker 3: the beginning of one, maybe you cry during.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Like the middle. Who knows.
- 5:38Speaker 3: And even if you don't cry, it's just going to
- 5:39Speaker 3: be like you're gonna be emotional, and that's great.
- 5:43Speaker 1: I bet I'll be more emotional because the more I
- 5:45Speaker 1: feel comfortable, Like last night, I was still you know,
- 5:48Speaker 1: I took a beat because I was nervous. The second
- 5:50Speaker 1: I stepped on stage, I was like, there's no turning back, like, yeah,
- 5:54Speaker 1: we're in it, and I like kind of sunk into
- 5:59Speaker 1: that feeling of it being okay to take a beat
- 6:01Speaker 1: and take a breather. Yeah, because it was overwhelming. I
- 6:05Speaker 1: mean I looked out there and even though I had
- 6:07Speaker 1: seen the venue before, it was like all of these
- 6:09Speaker 1: people who came to support me and who have supported
- 6:12Speaker 1: me through highs and lows. It's very surreal.
- 6:17Speaker 3: Yeah, and let me tell you, that energy in Irvine
- 6:21Speaker 3: improv last night from all of your people was some
- 6:26Speaker 3: of the most positive energy I've felt in a long
- 6:29Speaker 3: time in a room with that many people.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Did you feel it? I felt it. Yeah.
- 6:34Speaker 3: It was just like love and happiness and there was
- 6:36Speaker 3: no like awkwardness or you know how some people they
- 6:40Speaker 3: even when they get drinks in them, they can be
- 6:42Speaker 3: like obnoxious or rude, and it was all just bright
- 6:46Speaker 3: and uplifting.
- 6:48Speaker 1: It really was.
- 6:49Speaker 3: It was exactly what you hoped as far as like
- 6:53Speaker 3: we saw you girls out there having your girls' nights.
- 6:55Speaker 1: We saw the.
- 6:56Speaker 3: Men here and there that like we're forced, we're forced.
- 7:00Speaker 3: I saw like so many moms, single moms that were
- 7:03Speaker 3: like I'm here, I'm a single mom. I'm supporting Laala
- 7:07Speaker 3: like and also, you guys, thank you for like I
- 7:12Speaker 3: was actually shocked.
- 7:13Speaker 1: I was I was running.
- 7:15Speaker 3: I would like run out front to get a few people,
- 7:17Speaker 3: a few of Lala's friends that showed up. And I'm
- 7:20Speaker 3: not gonna I don't think people are gonna be like jesz.
- 7:22Speaker 3: I just and a lot of you did, and all
- 7:26Speaker 3: of you, a lot of you came up to me
- 7:29Speaker 3: and said really sweet positive things. That's great, right, yes,
- 7:33Speaker 3: And I was like, you didn't have to say that,
- 7:36Speaker 3: and like tell Aala, we said hi, but.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Also we love you so much.
- 7:38Speaker 3: And you guys know, I get some you know, I
- 7:41Speaker 3: get some hate here and there on the podcast, and
- 7:43Speaker 3: that's fine. But to have the ones come up and
- 7:46Speaker 3: just be like it just was really positive and think
- 7:49Speaker 3: those are normal people, you know that right now?
- 7:51Speaker 1: Yes, Like normal people don't write negative comments on people's Instagram.
- 7:57Speaker 3: Right And it's like the negativity the activities sometimes really loud.
- 8:02Speaker 3: And then you just like see these people in person
- 8:05Speaker 3: and they're just like I'm like, oh you guys, are
- 8:07Speaker 3: you guys are the real ones?
- 8:09Speaker 1: Correct? Yeah? Those are the ones who fuck with you
- 8:12Speaker 1: hard because they don't. They don't owe me anything. They
- 8:15Speaker 1: don't have to listen to this podcast, they don't have
- 8:17Speaker 1: to buy tickets to come see my show. No one's
- 8:19Speaker 1: forcing them to do anything. They're doing it because there's
- 8:23Speaker 1: something that they relate to in me and I relate
- 8:27Speaker 1: to in them because I'm a reality TV personality. Yeah
- 8:30Speaker 1: you know I'm not. I'm not on a scripted show,
- 8:34Speaker 1: like I'm living my real, authentic life. So they're coming
- 8:38Speaker 1: out to support because of what they see in you
- 8:41Speaker 1: as something that either inspires them or they know that
- 8:46Speaker 1: they can relate to, Like that sends chills all of
- 8:49Speaker 1: my body. Yes.
- 8:50Speaker 3: And then to see the people because I'm just gonna
- 8:53Speaker 3: say Lala's merch is on point. We sold that were
- 8:57Speaker 3: sold out, not only sold that, I mean it went fasts.
- 9:00Speaker 3: So if you are going to any of the future shows,
- 9:02Speaker 3: I would just get your merch first, because a lot
- 9:05Speaker 3: of girls went back.
- 9:06Speaker 1: I saw them like end of show and they were like,
- 9:08Speaker 1: where's the merch.
- 9:10Speaker 3: But to see them all just like not only did
- 9:13Speaker 3: they buy it and then they put it for it yes.
- 9:16Speaker 1: Which I thought was so cute.
- 9:17Speaker 3: So it was like a sea of pink hoodies and
- 9:19Speaker 3: like white shirts that said my p I knows all
- 9:21Speaker 3: about you.
- 9:22Speaker 1: I know. I loved that and so many people DMed me,
- 9:25Speaker 1: like where's the link to the shirt? I have the
- 9:27Speaker 1: white shirt that's what I wore last night that says
- 9:30Speaker 1: my p I knows all about you. Yeah, and you
- 9:32Speaker 1: can only get them if you come to the show,
- 9:34Speaker 1: Like that's not going to be a part of shopwalacun
- 9:37Speaker 1: dot com. Yeah. And then she has Tor shirts too.
- 9:39Speaker 1: You have torhit Tor shirts were lit. They were so cute.
- 9:42Speaker 1: I want to wear I just want to be in
- 9:45Speaker 1: my Here's the thing, Jesse, you know me. Yeah, I
- 9:49Speaker 1: do not get ready every day. It's a rare occasion
- 9:52Speaker 1: that I do. And when I do, I don't love it.
- 9:56Speaker 1: I prefer to be in like a T shirt and
- 9:59Speaker 1: leggings or sweatpants. Like that's just my vibe. So the
- 10:02Speaker 1: tour march is like everything I want to live in. Yeah,
- 10:05Speaker 1: and it's perfect because it is for the show. So
- 10:08Speaker 1: I'm like gotta wear it.
- 10:10Speaker 3: Guys have to wear the sweatshirt. Oh shucks, I can't
- 10:15Speaker 3: wear something tight and revealing. I have to wear this
- 10:17Speaker 3: giant shirt. And you love it too because they're soft,
- 10:21Speaker 3: Like it's comfy clothes. Obviously it's Lalla's merch. Of course
- 10:24Speaker 3: it has to be comfy. So I mean, you're just
- 10:26Speaker 3: like and sneakers. My mom was like pulling things out
- 10:29Speaker 3: of it. You know, I didn't have anything to wear
- 10:31Speaker 3: last night. My Mom's like, you, you don't know what
- 10:34Speaker 3: you're wearing. It was like we had to head out
- 10:36Speaker 3: of the house in like thirty minutes, and I was like, no,
- 10:38Speaker 3: I have no idea.
- 10:39Speaker 1: But also, you said, sneakers.
- 10:42Speaker 2: If you show up to the show, you guys, yes, these,
- 10:46Speaker 2: tell them about your sneakers because these are my favorite.
- 10:48Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm doing a sneaker collab and at the show
- 10:52Speaker 1: there will be QR codes. I have a pair of
- 10:55Speaker 1: white Chuck tailors that have my face logo on the side,
- 11:00Speaker 1: and then another pair of low top vans that have
- 11:04Speaker 1: the Ocean Wave tattoo all over them that I have
- 11:07Speaker 1: on my hand, so I wanted to make a pair
- 11:09Speaker 1: that was like very Lalla and then very Ocean. They're
- 11:12Speaker 1: so cute I can't ar icon. I yes, so you
- 11:17Speaker 1: can wear them. And also there's a QR code for
- 11:19Speaker 1: anyone who's going to the show. They get twenty five
- 11:23Speaker 1: percent off of all things give them all a beauty and.
- 11:26Speaker 3: There's a secret code, but you're not gonna see it
- 11:29Speaker 3: or have access to it unless you're at the tour.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Yes, exactly. Yeah, but also we've blended skin and beauty,
- 11:35Speaker 1: so the twenty five percent off is also you can
- 11:38Speaker 1: get skin on there. Yeah, skin and beauty.
- 11:40Speaker 3: How do you think the girls felt about the show?
- 11:44Speaker 3: Were any of them nervous to come out because Lalla
- 11:47Speaker 3: did a Q and A. We're not going to give
- 11:48Speaker 3: away too much, but full Q and A are happening
- 11:51Speaker 3: at our tours.
- 11:52Speaker 1: The Q and A was hitting like we could have
- 11:54Speaker 1: done a full show just on the Q and A. Yeah. Oh,
- 11:57Speaker 1: one hundred were going insane over it. Yes, Katie think
- 12:00Speaker 1: they shared cool. She's just like cool, right, Yeah, Like
- 12:04Speaker 1: people asked herself and she's like mm hmm yeah, I'm
- 12:07Speaker 1: like that's Katie. Yeah, you know, yes, Like she could
- 12:11Speaker 1: be a superstar, a list actress because a publicist would
- 12:15Speaker 1: die for her because she's just like, m cool.
- 12:18Speaker 3: Katie was asked a personal question and just like answered
- 12:21Speaker 3: it exactly how she felt and it was and kept
- 12:25Speaker 3: it cool.
- 12:25Speaker 1: Yeah, it was very about her personal life. I was
- 12:28Speaker 1: shocked that she answered it. I was shocked.
- 12:32Speaker 3: But then I was also like, well, of course, it's
- 12:34Speaker 3: just like it feels like a safe space in there.
- 12:36Speaker 2: There's gonna be a lot of oversharing, and that's okay.
- 12:38Speaker 1: Well I started talking about anal and I looked down
- 12:42Speaker 1: and I was like, you can tell I'm feeling really
- 12:45Speaker 1: comfortable now. And I was like, like, you guys are
- 12:47Speaker 1: my friends. And one girl goes invite us to your house,
- 12:49Speaker 1: then yeah, I invite us over. Then oh, like, well
- 12:54Speaker 1: you'll have to come one by one because it's a
- 12:56Speaker 1: little bit of a smaller space now. But I've never
- 12:59Speaker 1: been happier. And then Brittany is Everything that comes out
- 13:03Speaker 1: of her mouth is just dripping in hilarious shit, you know,
- 13:07Speaker 1: the accent mixed with what she says. It's just all
- 13:11Speaker 1: a moment. She was a little nervous. Dody slaughtered the
- 13:15Speaker 1: whole game. She's great. I mean, they're all great. She
- 13:19Speaker 1: gives they're all amazing. Yeah, but I was just shocked
- 13:22Speaker 1: by how like Kristin could, Kristen could do her own show.
- 13:27Speaker 1: She commands the stage because she's so unfiltered and not sensitive. Yeah,
- 13:33Speaker 1: by the way, she has kind of sensitive on watch
- 13:35Speaker 1: what happens live. Andy asked me, this was a while ago,
- 13:39Speaker 1: this was during book press, but asked me, who would
- 13:42Speaker 1: you trust the least with Ocean, and I said, probably
- 13:47Speaker 1: Kristin Dody. And I thought she could laugh about it
- 13:49Speaker 1: because we always make like she's broken the same toe
- 13:52Speaker 1: like seventeen times. She's constantly falling. She's the inflatable car
- 13:58Speaker 1: wash man. That's what I called her, Yes, okay, and
- 14:01Speaker 1: that's how we know her. So I thought that she
- 14:03Speaker 1: would obviously laugh about it if I were that question.
- 14:08Speaker 1: Watch Robin's life is so light and funny. Then when
- 14:10Speaker 1: he asked that question, if he were being if it
- 14:11Speaker 1: were Oprah asked me that question, I would say I
- 14:13Speaker 1: would trust any of these people to watch my baby.
- 14:17Speaker 1: I trust all of them and I know that they'd
- 14:18Speaker 1: love her. But it was just like kind of a joke,
- 14:21Speaker 1: and she really took it to heart. Oh no, and
- 14:24Speaker 1: I like it hurt my heart what she said.
- 14:26Speaker 2: Did she just contact you after it aired?
- 14:29Speaker 1: Shed contacted me after Cruse's birthday and she was like,
- 14:31Speaker 1: I know, it's so stupid, and I was like, it's
- 14:33Speaker 1: not stupid. I look at you like you're so tough
- 14:35Speaker 1: and unaffected, and I meant that to be lighthearted, but
- 14:39Speaker 1: it didn't hit that way. It came off as being mean. Yeah,
- 14:42Speaker 1: and that was not my intention, and.
- 14:45Speaker 3: She understood, I'm sure.
- 14:46Speaker 1: I was like, what can I what can I do
- 14:48Speaker 1: to fix this, to like make it better, and she
- 14:51Speaker 1: was like, honestly, just you acknowledging my feelings.
- 14:54Speaker 2: She's so sweet and so sweet. She's such a lover.
- 14:57Speaker 1: Whenever she sees ocean, she's like like doting on her.
- 15:01Speaker 2: Oh, DoD Dodie, doting doty. We love that.
- 15:09Speaker 3: Oh my god, she's really sweet and she was so
- 15:11Speaker 3: oh and shout out to the audience members Jessica of
- 15:15Speaker 3: course the yeah and Sam.
- 15:16Speaker 1: Ever meta, Jessica, I didn't like I said that last night,
- 15:19Speaker 1: so we we had audience participation. Obviously, Jessica and Sam
- 15:24Speaker 1: killed it last night. They were so cute. Sam had
- 15:26Speaker 1: on the that was so trashy hat.
- 15:28Speaker 2: Yeah, like you are a real one.
- 15:32Speaker 1: She is.
- 15:32Speaker 2: And that's also we'll be at the march booth.
- 15:35Speaker 1: I know. It's all just so good. In other news, Oh,
- 15:39Speaker 1: by the way, if you haven't gone tickets to they
- 15:42Speaker 1: give them La La Live Brand New tour. There are
- 15:47Speaker 1: a few tickets left in some of the cities, but
- 15:51Speaker 1: you can go to give them live dot com to
- 15:54Speaker 1: purchase tickets last night, which it hasn't happened yet, but
- 15:57Speaker 1: it will have happened by the time it's heirs. We're
- 15:59Speaker 1: doing Fort Lauderdale, Ariana was my guest, your fucking welcoup
- 16:06Speaker 1: so fun. Clearwater, Florida is happening tomorrow. Then I'm going
- 16:13Speaker 1: to Orlando, then Atlanta, Nashville, New Orleans, Houston, Austin, and Dallas,
- 16:19Speaker 1: Texas is where we will wrap it up. So this
- 16:28Speaker 1: is breaking news.
- 16:30Speaker 2: Oh my god, this.
- 16:31Speaker 1: Is breaking news. Uneventful, but it is breaking news. I
- 16:37Speaker 1: have finished not one, not two, but three full episodes
- 16:43Speaker 1: of the Kardashians.
- 16:46Speaker 3: Round of Applause. She came to the She came to
- 16:48Speaker 3: our side, Im Kardashian fans.
- 16:51Speaker 1: Here's the thing. I've always been a fan because I
- 16:53Speaker 1: respect anybody who has a sex tape which happened a
- 16:59Speaker 1: very long time ago, and they elevate not only her
- 17:04Speaker 1: but the whole damn family. Yeah to what they've done.
- 17:07Speaker 1: And so many of these little fucking haters are like,
- 17:10Speaker 1: like I am from money, and it's like I know
- 17:12Speaker 1: so many little fuck ups in LA who are like
- 17:15Speaker 1: the sons and daughters of very wealthy, famous people, and
- 17:20Speaker 1: they don't have a brand that's worth a billion dollars.
- 17:23Speaker 1: They're not pulling all nighters to do press and work
- 17:26Speaker 1: like ye just saying.
- 17:27Speaker 3: And we we understand. And it seems as they understand
- 17:32Speaker 3: as well that it is. They are privileged and they
- 17:34Speaker 3: come from privilege. But you still, it's not like they
- 17:37Speaker 3: don't have to work their ass off to get where
- 17:40Speaker 3: they are.
- 17:41Speaker 1: See that bothered me when so many people, and definitely
- 17:44Speaker 1: they're privileged. I'm privileged. Yes, yes, it is like I'm
- 17:49Speaker 1: I'm not blind to that. Absolutely. But when Kim Kardashian
- 17:53Speaker 1: did that interview and she said so many people don't
- 17:56Speaker 1: want to work these days, get off your ass and work,
- 17:58Speaker 1: I took that a little bit differently. She wasn't saying
- 18:02Speaker 1: get off your ass and you should be a you're
- 18:04Speaker 1: not a billionaire because you don't work, right. That wasn't
- 18:07Speaker 1: where she was hitting right. And by the way, if
- 18:11Speaker 1: you're a billionaire and you're telling me to get off
- 18:13Speaker 1: my ass and work, I'm listening to you, because becoming
- 18:16Speaker 1: a billionaire is not easy. Yeah. I don't care where
- 18:22Speaker 1: you like, it's just it's not I know a lot
- 18:24Speaker 1: of people who have come from nothing and built incredible things.
- 18:29Speaker 1: They're still not billionaires, right right. You know, that's just
- 18:32Speaker 1: an insane amount of money. To be honest, I don't
- 18:34Speaker 1: think anybody needs to be a billionaire. I think there's
- 18:36Speaker 1: just so many homeless people and all I'm like, I
- 18:38Speaker 1: don't understand. I just don't think people need to be
- 18:41Speaker 1: worth that much money, or.
- 18:42Speaker 3: If you are going to be worth that much money,
- 18:44Speaker 3: let's find solutions and a cause that needs some serious
- 18:47Speaker 3: as something needs to happen where these extremely wealthy people are.
- 18:52Speaker 1: Because I look at it and they're like, oh, yeah,
- 18:54Speaker 1: this person only pays this in taxes. I'm like, are
- 18:56Speaker 1: you kidding me? I'm at forty eight percent classic And
- 19:01Speaker 1: by the way, I will go to my person who
- 19:04Speaker 1: handles my funds, and I'm like, can we write off outfits?
- 19:08Speaker 1: Because if I'm wearing it for vander Pump, which is work,
- 19:12Speaker 1: there are more times than not I'm not gonna wear
- 19:13Speaker 1: it again. I'm purchasing it because I'm working. And my
- 19:17Speaker 1: dude is like, no, no, really yes. But back to
- 19:23Speaker 1: what she was saying, Yeah, about the getting I think
- 19:26Speaker 1: people in the younger generation are very lazy. A lot
- 19:31Speaker 1: of people are. They want everything to be handed to them, right, yes,
- 19:34Speaker 1: and I get it. But I want everything to be
- 19:36Speaker 1: handed to me too, I.
- 19:37Speaker 3: Know, and I really do what she I think specified
- 19:41Speaker 3: it may have been Gail King interview. She did an
- 19:43Speaker 3: interview and she specified that she was asked a question
- 19:46Speaker 3: beforehand that I don't know if it made it to air,
- 19:49Speaker 3: but it may. It changed her tone because basically the
- 19:52Speaker 3: question had the tone of what do you think about
- 19:57Speaker 3: being famous for just being famous?
- 20:00Speaker 1: And it changed her tone. You could say, I could
- 20:02Speaker 1: totally yeah, because.
- 20:03Speaker 3: She was like, but that's not at this point in
- 20:06Speaker 3: my life, that's not it. I'm not famous for just
- 20:08Speaker 3: being famous. Look at what I've bien.
- 20:09Speaker 1: Correct. So then her tone changed.
- 20:11Speaker 3: So then the next question after that is what made
- 20:14Speaker 3: her say, like, get off your ass and work.
- 20:16Speaker 2: And she did clarify, of course there are.
- 20:19Speaker 3: Women and single mothers and young people that wake up
- 20:22Speaker 3: every day and work from four am to eleven.
- 20:25Speaker 1: But by the way, she's not talking about those people. No,
- 20:27Speaker 1: And she made that clear. She's not talking Later on,
- 20:31Speaker 1: if you have a job and you're going to work,
- 20:35Speaker 1: she's not talking about you, right, Yeah, she's not even
- 20:39Speaker 1: if you're working, whether you're working at a department store,
- 20:42Speaker 1: you're the CEO of Amazon, whether you're working at seven eleven,
- 20:46Speaker 1: you're creating content for TikTok. She's not talking to you. Yeah,
- 20:52Speaker 1: that's what I gathered from it. And by the way,
- 20:55Speaker 1: when I heard her say that, I was like, Lala,
- 20:57Speaker 1: you are motherfucking lazy. I'm gonna get your ass.
- 21:00Speaker 2: But you heard Kim get your ass up and work.
- 21:04Speaker 1: Yes, So that's what I gathered from it. I am
- 21:07Speaker 1: completely obsessed. So you like the new one with I
- 21:11Speaker 1: probably would have liked other seasons. I just didn't give
- 21:14Speaker 1: it enough of a chance. I would just like tuned
- 21:16Speaker 1: in for five minutes, and then I was like, uh,
- 21:18Speaker 1: housewives because right from the jump they're freaking right cutting
- 21:21Speaker 1: each other with their words. Right, it's a different format.
- 21:24Speaker 3: Do you notice that or did you not know the
- 21:25Speaker 3: previous keeping up?
- 21:27Speaker 1: I don't know the previous one enough to even judge
- 21:32Speaker 1: judge it off of anything, but you like it. I
- 21:34Speaker 1: loved it, and my favorite, one of my favorite parts
- 21:37Speaker 1: of it was and I hoped that two things. When
- 21:42Speaker 1: I saw Kim do the little like run through with
- 21:46Speaker 1: Amy Schumer, you could tell it like humanized Kim Kardashian
- 21:50Speaker 1: so much because she was she almost looked overpowered by
- 21:53Speaker 1: Amy Schumer in a way of like, you know, even
- 21:57Speaker 1: though Kim's built these incredible things, she's now doing as now,
- 22:00Speaker 1: which has some of the most incredible talent in the world.
- 22:04Speaker 1: If you're if you're talented and funny, like those people
- 22:10Speaker 1: are coming out of us and l not saying every
- 22:12Speaker 1: single one. I know, there's very funny people who may
- 22:15Speaker 1: never get that opportunity. But you could just tell that
- 22:18Speaker 1: she was like out of her element. Yeah, and you
- 22:21Speaker 1: can tell there's many times that you put the Kardashians
- 22:25Speaker 1: in that they kind of feel out of their element.
- 22:27Speaker 1: And they're more famous, more powerful, richer, have bigger empires
- 22:31Speaker 1: than all the people in the fucking room, right, but
- 22:34Speaker 1: you can still tell that they're humbled by the fact that, like,
- 22:37Speaker 1: maybe I'm not the most talented actress or you know,
- 22:41Speaker 1: they really.
- 22:42Speaker 3: And she says that on the show, I think, right,
- 22:44Speaker 3: She's like, I told them I can't sing, I can't dance, I.
- 22:46Speaker 1: Can't funny when she says that, and she's because she's
- 22:49Speaker 1: that she's she's just being real.
- 22:51Speaker 2: She's like, I know what I can offer, and it's
- 22:53Speaker 2: me Kim Kardashian.
- 22:54Speaker 1: I loved it, and I used to like not mess
- 22:56Speaker 1: with the Courtney and Travis thing. I'm like, it's just there.
- 22:59Speaker 1: It seems a little like too forced, right, But that's
- 23:02Speaker 1: just me scrolling on Instagram. By the way, I'm not
- 23:04Speaker 1: a troll though, because I never commented that shit. I
- 23:06Speaker 1: only said it to my friends.
- 23:08Speaker 3: Good for you, Laala, some other people have to learn
- 23:10Speaker 3: those things. So your friend, Okay, you said it, but wait,
- 23:14Speaker 3: it has your tune changed?
- 23:17Speaker 1: Yes, I'm like I want that. They're cute. Where's my
- 23:20Speaker 1: bald headed, tattooed drummer? Okay?
- 23:23Speaker 2: Do you think they will stay married?
- 23:26Speaker 1: Yes? I do?
- 23:26Speaker 2: Do I think it's I'm like, oh, this is endgame.
- 23:29Speaker 1: I think it's like totally effortless and cute and sweet
- 23:33Speaker 1: and safe. And to see him with her daughter like
- 23:36Speaker 1: doing the drums, I was just like, this is the
- 23:38Speaker 1: this is the cutest I can get down with all
- 23:40Speaker 1: of this.
- 23:41Speaker 3: Do you think it's too much PDA? Or do you
- 23:43Speaker 3: think it's cute?
- 23:44Speaker 1: Because it's like, who cares? They're in love. They don't
- 23:46Speaker 1: give a shit, you know what I'm I have always said,
- 23:49Speaker 1: PDA is so annoying and gross, but I wish I
- 23:53Speaker 1: could find someone that I just wanted to like, I
- 23:55Speaker 1: couldn't keep my hands off of. Yeah.
- 23:57Speaker 3: Now, yeah, I think it's cute because I don't think
- 24:00Speaker 3: they're doing it to put on a show. I think
- 24:02Speaker 3: there's a big difference between doing it to put on
- 24:04Speaker 3: a show, which I've seen.
- 24:06Speaker 2: And doing it to.
- 24:09Speaker 3: Because you don't care what anyone else thinks, and doing
- 24:12Speaker 3: it because it's just in your world in that moment,
- 24:15Speaker 3: it's just you and your partner, and like, sure, I'll
- 24:17Speaker 3: grab her ass. I don't care if we're sitting at
- 24:19Speaker 3: the family table.
- 24:20Speaker 1: It's very sweet. Yeah, just tell that they are they
- 24:23Speaker 1: like want to be one, They want to be living
- 24:25Speaker 1: inside of each other and not in a sexual way
- 24:27Speaker 1: like the soul may kind of. Yeah. Yeah, I love it,
- 24:30Speaker 1: so I stand.
- 24:32Speaker 3: Congratulations. Yes, Lalla, welcome, Welcome to the world of Kardashian.
- 24:38Speaker 3: We're excited to see where this takes to you.
- 24:40Speaker 1: I'm very excited. I have the fourth episode waiting. Once
- 24:43Speaker 1: I wrap this podcast up, I will be back doing
- 24:46Speaker 1: that because after we talk about this all the time.
- 24:49Speaker 1: I had the best time last night, but I feel
- 24:54Speaker 1: like my soul leaves my body. Yeah. When I have
- 24:57Speaker 1: a lot of interaction with anybody, people I know, I know,
- 25:00Speaker 1: family members. When there's a large group of people, I
- 25:02Speaker 1: have the most amazing time. But the next day, so
- 25:05Speaker 1: I'm feeling that today, Yeah, you've got to recharge alone, yes,
- 25:09Speaker 1: or with very close like Gigi, recharge. Put very little
- 25:13Speaker 1: on the books for today because I obviously want to
- 25:15Speaker 1: be present. Yeah, you know what's going on. So I
- 25:21Speaker 1: asked you guys last week because you all know I
- 25:25Speaker 1: won't bore you again with my male dating whatever, but
- 25:32Speaker 1: I asked a question like how many of you have
- 25:35Speaker 1: met your significant others on a dating app? Like are
- 25:38Speaker 1: you married and thriving with children? Are you still together?
- 25:42Speaker 1: Like who has? Is it like a normal thing now? Yes,
- 25:46Speaker 1: So you guys responded. By the way, I did listen
- 25:50Speaker 1: to Heather McDonald's podcast. She did like this one a
- 25:52Speaker 1: while ago, but anytime I drive anywhere, I always put
- 25:55Speaker 1: Heather's podcast on. And she had this like Billionaire Matchmaker,
- 26:00Speaker 1: which it really didn't have much to do. The podcast
- 26:03Speaker 1: about introducing women to billionaires. She was going through profile
- 26:07Speaker 1: dating profiles, and this one girl I guess in her
- 26:12Speaker 1: profile was talking about like her grandmother and how she
- 26:14Speaker 1: loves her so much. And the woman said she's got
- 26:17Speaker 1: to take that out because she's not going to attract
- 26:19Speaker 1: any men, like they're gonna be worried, like, is are
- 26:22Speaker 1: we going to have to go visit.
- 26:23Speaker 2: Your grandma all the time? And for me, I thought
- 26:26Speaker 2: the opposite.
- 26:27Speaker 1: I'm like, if if you just like in my profile,
- 26:32Speaker 1: you need to know upfront that I come as a
- 26:34Speaker 1: package deal. You know, my mom is heavily involved in
- 26:37Speaker 1: my life, my little brother, my usband's you ess, and
- 26:42Speaker 1: then my baby. Obviously that goes without saying yeah, she's
- 26:45Speaker 1: glued at my head. Yes, if you're not down for that,
- 26:51Speaker 1: then you need to go away because I don't want
- 26:54Speaker 1: to attract you.
- 26:55Speaker 3: You're not trying to do the Let's entice them with
- 26:59Speaker 3: this one image of myself and once I get them,
- 27:02Speaker 3: I'm gonna be like, okay, but.
- 27:03Speaker 2: This is really how it is.
- 27:05Speaker 1: No, no, because then it goes down. You may and
- 27:08Speaker 1: you can keep something up. Like for example, I know
- 27:11Speaker 1: someone this woman who is like a friend of a
- 27:14Speaker 1: friend whatever. Her mom is great at getting men. Keeping
- 27:20Speaker 1: them is a different story. I know who the mom
- 27:23Speaker 1: really is and she's fantastic, but she makes it seem
- 27:28Speaker 1: like she's down for sex all the time and she
- 27:31Speaker 1: wants to do this, that and the other, and then
- 27:34Speaker 1: you know, you become comfortable and she falls into who
- 27:36Speaker 1: she really is, which is an amazing human being. But
- 27:39Speaker 1: she's attracting men that are wanting something that it's like,
- 27:44Speaker 1: you don't even want those men.
- 27:45Speaker 2: Yes, right, she's attracting men.
- 27:48Speaker 3: She's putting out vibes that aren't genuine correct and attracting
- 27:54Speaker 3: men who are attracted to those vibes and that facade.
- 27:58Speaker 3: If she had put out maybe genuine vibes of this
- 28:01Speaker 3: is really me, she's going to attract the men or
- 28:05Speaker 3: the women who are, oh, this is really her, this
- 28:08Speaker 3: is what she likes. She's whatever, not down for sex
- 28:11Speaker 3: all the time or whatever. Right, awesome, this is what
- 28:13Speaker 3: I like.
- 28:14Speaker 1: And I think there's a way to do it. Like, obviously,
- 28:16Speaker 1: on a first date, I'm not going to just talk
- 28:18Speaker 1: about my mom the whole time, Okay, but on a
- 28:21Speaker 1: first date, I'm letting you know, my mom is my
- 28:24Speaker 1: rider die and she's she's in my life. So yeah,
- 28:28Speaker 1: there it is. There's like a way to do it,
- 28:31Speaker 1: don't you think?
- 28:32Speaker 3: Oh yeah, And it's interesting because this is you now
- 28:37Speaker 3: would this have been or was this your thinking when
- 28:41Speaker 3: you were let's say twenty three or no, did you put.
- 28:44Speaker 1: On I've put on? What do I think this person wants? Yeah,
- 28:49Speaker 1: it should be to do that. What do I want?
- 28:51Speaker 1: Because a lot of people that I've dated, I'm like,
- 28:55Speaker 1: why am I hanging out with you? I don't even
- 28:57Speaker 1: like you. I enjoy you, you know, but what is that?
- 29:02Speaker 1: I know when I was younger, there were guys that
- 29:04Speaker 1: I was dating and I liked who they were, you.
- 29:07Speaker 3: Know, like what do you mean like their personality or
- 29:10Speaker 3: you know, my personality was shit, but it was like.
- 29:13Speaker 1: Oh, he's a football player, you know, people love him.
- 29:17Speaker 1: But at this point in time, I don't need you
- 29:22Speaker 1: for anything financially, I don't need you to put my
- 29:25Speaker 1: name out there. Like I'm solid standing on my own
- 29:28Speaker 1: and it's not like what can I do for you?
- 29:31Speaker 1: What can you do for me? And if that's good,
- 29:34Speaker 1: then I can do something for you as well. Right,
- 29:37Speaker 1: But I just I'm in a completely different zone. The
- 29:39Speaker 1: people that I would attract now are completely different than
- 29:43Speaker 1: the people I would attract back then.
- 29:45Speaker 3: Yeah, and that's like that's what you get for just
- 29:48Speaker 3: growing up.
- 29:49Speaker 1: I mean, some of the people, including myself.
- 29:51Speaker 3: I had to attract those people and put on a
- 29:54Speaker 3: facade when I was younger to note.
- 29:57Speaker 1: And learn what I don't work, vibe with which and
- 30:01Speaker 1: I don't think a lot of younger people are listening.
- 30:04Speaker 1: It was funny because last night I asked about the
- 30:06Speaker 1: emojis and I was like, see, you guys use emojis.
- 30:09Speaker 1: I was told it was only the older generation, but
- 30:14Speaker 1: you guys are using them, and the woman in front goes,
- 30:16Speaker 1: that's because we're all old.
- 30:18Speaker 3: I was like, oh my god, A right, any bravo
- 30:21Speaker 3: for whoever said that, And I remembered, like, you're right,
- 30:24Speaker 3: like eighteen to twenty four year old or not following me.
- 30:27Speaker 1: But if there are any like you're, you're in that zone.
- 30:32Speaker 1: There's nothing I can tell you to make you switch
- 30:36Speaker 1: your way of thinking on how you approach a dude.
- 30:38Speaker 1: And that's fine because it's going to be a learning
- 30:40Speaker 1: experience for you and you're going to end up with
- 30:42Speaker 1: a great guy when you're older. Yeah, and go.
- 30:44Speaker 3: Through it and hopefully it's a learning experience because if
- 30:46Speaker 3: you are younger or not younger, but you do that,
- 30:49Speaker 3: you put on this facade. Be careful because I've done
- 30:53Speaker 3: it before. I remember it like eighteen, and it sort
- 30:56Speaker 3: of changed me as a person because I met this
- 30:59Speaker 3: guy who I I wanted and he wanted a certain
- 31:02Speaker 3: type of girl that I became. And then a year
- 31:05Speaker 3: and a half later, I was like and we broke up.
- 31:07Speaker 3: I'm like, who was that?
- 31:09Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 31:09Speaker 2: Who was I for a year and a half like
- 31:12Speaker 2: what that was?
- 31:12Speaker 1: Not me?
- 31:14Speaker 3: And it's just like it gets a little scary, like,
- 31:16Speaker 3: oh wow, I don't ever want to do that again.
- 31:19Speaker 1: I love that you said that, because I actually relate
- 31:21Speaker 1: to that a lot, So I take back what I said.
- 31:24Speaker 1: Don't fucking be that person no matter how old you are,
- 31:26Speaker 1: you know, Yeah, let's teach self worth at a very
- 31:29Speaker 1: young age. Yeah. And it also depends on where you
- 31:31Speaker 1: come from, because at twenty four, a lot of my
- 31:33Speaker 1: friends were like three babies in and married for five years.
- 31:37Speaker 3: Yeah, And there are no women or men in their
- 31:40Speaker 3: sixties right now who still are putting on the facade
- 31:43Speaker 3: it's all.
- 31:44Speaker 1: Yeah, by the way, I have a hole. And this
- 31:47Speaker 1: may make some people upset, but there are certain men
- 31:50Speaker 1: and women I see in La where the guy's like
- 31:52Speaker 1: old and I know, I know the drill. These old
- 31:56Speaker 1: men who are going for these young girls. It's a
- 31:59Speaker 1: very disturbing to me.
- 32:01Speaker 3: It's interesting to me because yeah, I mean I think
- 32:04Speaker 3: a lot of people feel the way you do. Part
- 32:06Speaker 3: of my mind feels that way, and then another part
- 32:08Speaker 3: I'm like, okay, scientifically, because I do this a lot.
- 32:10Speaker 3: What's happening, Well, biologically they are attracted because men can
- 32:17Speaker 3: impregnate women as they're older, like men can do it
- 32:21Speaker 3: for a long long time. Women it's younger that we
- 32:25Speaker 3: end up not being able to have babies or it
- 32:27Speaker 3: becomes a little more dangerous as I'm talking.
- 32:29Speaker 2: Way way older. But so then I think, oh, it's biological.
- 32:33Speaker 3: The men, you're in your sixties whatever, and you are
- 32:37Speaker 3: biologically attracted to a younger, more fertile and this might
- 32:43Speaker 3: I just sometimes like to apply science like tribal or bio.
- 32:47Speaker 1: You know, I'm telling you what Ocean Kent. She turns
- 32:50Speaker 1: twenty two to twenty three, and she tells me she's
- 32:53Speaker 1: with someone in their mid to late forties or fifties. Yeah,
- 32:57Speaker 1: I'm going, what the fuck is wrong with this? Yeah?
- 33:00Speaker 1: And you're not dating him? No, absolutely not. And I
- 33:05Speaker 1: let a lot of shit go right if Ocean Kent
- 33:07Speaker 1: decides that she wants to go and be a stripper
- 33:10Speaker 1: one day. Mama will support her in anything and everything
- 33:14Speaker 1: she does. Again, I will guide her as well as
- 33:16Speaker 1: I can. But they come how they are. Their passions
- 33:18Speaker 1: are their passions. Where I will draw the line is
- 33:22Speaker 1: what is wrong with this sick buck that he wants
- 33:24Speaker 1: my twenty three year old little girl? Is there a
- 33:26Speaker 1: line drawn though?
- 33:27Speaker 3: For the age?
- 33:27Speaker 1: What if he's forty? Yeah? I have to think on that. Yeah,
- 33:31Speaker 1: I have to meet him. I'd have to deep dive.
- 33:32Speaker 1: I'd had to stick the PI on him, got to
- 33:34Speaker 1: get in touch with the ex's.
- 33:36Speaker 3: The PI is going to be here forever, you know. Yeah,
- 33:39Speaker 3: but that is interesting. But I was asking you because
- 33:41Speaker 3: I'm genuinely curious. I don't know how I'll feel when
- 33:44Speaker 3: I have a daughter. I'll probably be like, you're never
- 33:46Speaker 3: dating the end, right.
- 33:48Speaker 1: Right, right right? I think a twenty year age difference
- 33:52Speaker 1: is like, you have no business talking to my daughter. Yeah,
- 33:57Speaker 1: with a twenty year age gap, my daughter was just
- 34:00Speaker 1: born and you were twenty. You're a year shy of
- 34:02Speaker 1: being able to hit the fucking bottle? What do you
- 34:05Speaker 1: want with my kid?
- 34:06Speaker 3: But then I think when I hear a forty five
- 34:09Speaker 3: year old woman with a sixty five year old man.
- 34:11Speaker 2: I'm like, my brain goes, oh, yeah, that's not that bad.
- 34:13Speaker 1: Well I'm a little scarred. Yeah that's true. You know,
- 34:16Speaker 1: you're talking to someone who was in a situation and
- 34:19Speaker 1: is making judgments based off of my own experience. Yeah,
- 34:23Speaker 1: I could very well get over that. So if I'm
- 34:26Speaker 1: offending anybody, that is not my intention. You're talking to
- 34:29Speaker 1: someone who is obviously going to have to do some work.
- 34:33Speaker 1: I'm judging everything off of my own experience. So we
- 34:37Speaker 1: went on a rampage. Anyway, people have been talking to
- 34:40Speaker 1: me about their men or women that they met on
- 34:44Speaker 1: dating apps. So this girl that I met, her name
- 34:48Speaker 1: is Lisa Marie, and she said that she's a wedding photographer.
- 34:55Speaker 1: And she told me that eight out of the ten
- 34:57Speaker 1: couples that she photographs have met on dating apps.
- 35:01Speaker 2: No, yes, yes, as of how long? That's what I
- 35:06Speaker 2: would want to know.
- 35:06Speaker 1: She seemed young, she seemed she was younger. I mean
- 35:09Speaker 1: in the last year or two me, I mean, whatever
- 35:12Speaker 1: it is, I'm shocked eight out of ten.
- 35:15Speaker 2: Yes, Oh my god, Oh yeah, that is shocking.
- 35:20Speaker 1: Were you shocked? Yes?
- 35:22Speaker 3: I wonder what the most successful app.
- 35:23Speaker 1: Is, especially because I don't know how to send anything
- 35:26Speaker 1: but emojis. Once I get these boobies done, oh let
- 35:33Speaker 1: me post in the cleeve, won't. I'm so scared.
- 35:38Speaker 3: You're so scared really to get them done, or to
- 35:41Speaker 3: know to get them done, just to like deep dive
- 35:44Speaker 3: back into my sexuality right now.
- 35:48Speaker 1: Well, then again, last night I was talking about anal
- 35:50Speaker 1: but I'm like, safe, he wants to touch me? No,
- 35:54Speaker 1: it's so naughty. Absolutely not. Yeah, my mom asked me
- 36:00Speaker 1: questions my mom again, it's my best friend. I fuck
- 36:02Speaker 1: with her so hard and she's so funny. Because she
- 36:05Speaker 1: asked me the other night would you hit that? And
- 36:06Speaker 1: I was about this guy else, Lisa, So did you
- 36:09Speaker 1: hit that? I was like, Lisa, that's why you've been
- 36:13Speaker 1: hanging out too much, starting to talk like me, And
- 36:16Speaker 1: I was like, would I hit that? That is so inappropriate?
- 36:22Speaker 1: I said that.
- 36:24Speaker 3: Yes, dear mom, that's hilarious.
- 36:26Speaker 1: Hitting that is inappropriate. We can talk about it all
- 36:29Speaker 1: day long, but I'm not responsible for my thoughts or
- 36:33Speaker 1: what I say. I'm only responsible for my actions. Would
- 36:36Speaker 1: you hit that? I would though, if the time came,
- 36:40Speaker 1: I'd be like, I would hit that anyway.
- 36:42Speaker 3: The podcast Instagram page got a lot of dms from
- 36:46Speaker 3: a ton of you about finding partners on a dating app,
- 36:50Speaker 3: so we're not going to be able to get to
- 36:51Speaker 3: all of them, but I'm just going to go in order.
- 36:54Speaker 3: In the case of you wanting to be anonymous, I
- 36:57Speaker 3: will just say your first name. So this is a
- 37:01Speaker 3: message from Jennifer. Hi, just listen to the episode. And
- 37:05Speaker 3: met my fiance on Bumble and we are getting married
- 37:08Speaker 3: in September. I was divorced after my ex husband cheated
- 37:11Speaker 3: on me with my work bestie.
- 37:13Speaker 1: So I totally get the.
- 37:14Speaker 3: Being grossed out by men, but I met the man
- 37:17Speaker 3: of my dreams on a dating app.
- 37:20Speaker 1: Wait do you think about really?
- 37:21Speaker 3: Yeah, Bumble, which I heard Bumble is the women I
- 37:26Speaker 3: think get like.
- 37:27Speaker 1: A man can't contact.
- 37:28Speaker 2: You unless the woman like So that's the first message.
- 37:31Speaker 1: Okay, So her husband cheats on her, Yes, she dips
- 37:35Speaker 1: out on him. Good for you. I could never get
- 37:38Speaker 1: over cheating. There's just no fucking way. You're a badass.
- 37:40Speaker 1: I support you. And then she so she joins Bumble
- 37:44Speaker 1: and meets the man of her dreams.
- 37:45Speaker 3: Yea, and they're married man of her dreams and she
- 37:48Speaker 3: put dreams in all caps. Oh, I know another one
- 37:53Speaker 3: from Caitlin met my now husband on Tinder. I had
- 37:57Speaker 3: been single for years and I just moved to Seattle,
- 38:00Speaker 3: where I didn't know anyone, so I did try to
- 38:02Speaker 3: decided to try out Tinder, Bumble, et cetera, just to
- 38:05Speaker 3: meet people. First person I met was my now husband
- 38:08Speaker 3: and it was an instant connection. That was seven years
- 38:11Speaker 3: ago and we are so happy and so in love,
- 38:13Speaker 3: truly my best friend and I always recommend trying it out.
- 38:17Speaker 1: Really m Yeah, okay, so I mean this. Can I
- 38:24Speaker 1: tell you this makes me nervous? Why because I have
- 38:30Speaker 1: never by the way, I grew up with the girl
- 38:35Speaker 1: who started bumble okay, fucking genius, and everyone talks about
- 38:39Speaker 1: how that's always that's like their favorite one, yea, their
- 38:41Speaker 1: favorite Danny atte because the female gets to do the
- 38:45Speaker 1: make them make the first move. Yeah. This sounds so horrible,
- 38:51Speaker 1: but it takes me back to a time where like
- 38:54Speaker 1: I was young, like young, like a child, and my
- 38:57Speaker 1: mom's friends who would be like getting divorced and they
- 39:00Speaker 1: couldn't find anybody, would be like, well, I guess I'll
- 39:02Speaker 1: join this to see if I can find my partner.
- 39:05Speaker 1: And it just made me like so nervous. I'm like,
- 39:09Speaker 1: why do you need to join something to like? And
- 39:11Speaker 1: it gave you probably negative like well, no one worked out.
- 39:15Speaker 1: They were constantly going on these dates and it was
- 39:17Speaker 1: never working.
- 39:18Speaker 3: Out, and it seemed like the last resort almost yes,
- 39:21Speaker 3: like I've tried everything, everyone sucks.
- 39:23Speaker 1: I guess, so I'll get online. That's how they made
- 39:25Speaker 1: it seem.
- 39:26Speaker 3: Yeah, And at the time maybe that was it because
- 39:30Speaker 3: there weren't as many people online, right.
- 39:33Speaker 1: But now I feel like joining a dating app, like
- 39:38Speaker 1: there is no difference between me sliding in a DM
- 39:41Speaker 1: and me being on a dating app. Actually there is
- 39:43Speaker 1: a huge difference. People on dating apps actually want something
- 39:46Speaker 1: to happen. Sliding in the DM is just basically a
- 39:50Speaker 1: booty call. You think, I mean, not for me. When
- 39:53Speaker 1: I'm sliding in the DM, it's like I'm looking for
- 39:56Speaker 1: a text Yeah, nice, real book wild maybe a little
- 40:01Speaker 1: face time date.
- 40:05Speaker 2: Oh, that to me is wild. I have to say
- 40:07Speaker 2: a lot.
- 40:08Speaker 3: I wouldn't like the fact that you could DM someone
- 40:12Speaker 3: in FaceTime them.
- 40:14Speaker 2: That's like last resort to me. You're gonna see my face.
- 40:18Speaker 1: Yeah, you're gonna see my face. And more times than not.
- 40:21Speaker 1: I'm not gonna have makeup on. So when you see
- 40:23Speaker 1: me in person and I'm looking fine, you're gonna feel
- 40:26Speaker 1: like you're with fucking like Justselle, you know, because you've
- 40:30Speaker 1: seen me without makeup on. You see as bad as
- 40:32Speaker 1: it gets right off the jump.
- 40:34Speaker 2: Yeah, that's true.
- 40:36Speaker 1: I always, always, even if pictures are exchange, always make
- 40:42Speaker 1: sure that it is with no makeup on. Oh yep,
- 40:46Speaker 1: the first picture has always got to be me looking
- 40:50Speaker 1: like I would if you and I were to go
- 40:51Speaker 1: to bed at night.
- 40:53Speaker 3: Maybe you're onto something because when I dated people, I
- 40:56Speaker 3: would literally you guys, and this isn't a joke, like
- 40:59Speaker 3: I would bring my makeup bag to sleep over at
- 41:01Speaker 3: guys and these are boyfriends, and then like in the
- 41:03Speaker 3: morning like quickly put on Mesca or something. But then
- 41:06Speaker 3: when I met Kyle accidentally, I met him looking no
- 41:10Speaker 3: makeup I had it was a night class, greasy hair,
- 41:15Speaker 3: giant sweats, and met him and I was like, well,
- 41:18Speaker 3: I guess I'm just gonna have to charm him with
- 41:20Speaker 3: my personality.
- 41:21Speaker 1: And well, yes, because then your most authentic self comes
- 41:25Speaker 1: out because you're in your most vulnerable state, Like the
- 41:27Speaker 1: only way you could be more vulnerable is naked with
- 41:30Speaker 1: your legspread? Yes, no, you're onto something.
- 41:34Speaker 3: And then because then the first state he was like,
- 41:36Speaker 3: I was wondering why he was so like.
- 41:37Speaker 1: Wow, yes, whoa see you were Giselle to him because
- 41:41Speaker 1: he had seen you Like this is as bad as
- 41:43Speaker 1: it gets.
- 41:44Speaker 2: Yeah, give him the worst and fast.
- 41:48Speaker 1: That's why I will post photos on my story of
- 41:51Speaker 1: me with Zi creamon, because there could be nights we
- 41:53Speaker 1: spend together and I got a kure acne. Yes, this
- 41:56Speaker 1: is what it looks like. Yeah, that's just what I'm
- 42:00Speaker 1: into hot tips. Hear it from from Lalla. That's am
- 42:05Speaker 1: I onto something? You might be onto something, by the way,
- 42:08Speaker 1: not weird that you would take your makeup bag because
- 42:10Speaker 1: my boyfriend when in college, he was in college, I
- 42:13Speaker 1: was not. I would take my makeup bag but also
- 42:18Speaker 1: my overnight makeup bag, which was filled with organic makeup,
- 42:22Speaker 1: and I would close the door, shower, wash my face,
- 42:24Speaker 1: and then I would put on nighttime makeup to go
- 42:27Speaker 1: to bed.
- 42:28Speaker 2: Really yes, see, so then I don't feel too bad.
- 42:33Speaker 1: No, I think that.
- 42:34Speaker 3: I think a lot of people probably do it, because
- 42:36Speaker 3: that's what I would do. I would shower, close the door,
- 42:39Speaker 3: and then like I was like, I don't want it
- 42:41Speaker 3: to look like I have makeup on, so I'm gonna
- 42:43Speaker 3: put a moisturizer and I'll do like mascara and then
- 42:46Speaker 3: like maybe a little like glistening stuff on my eyelids
- 42:49Speaker 3: just to make me look like makeup free. But I
- 42:52Speaker 3: wasn't makeup free.
- 42:53Speaker 1: Yeah no, I know you had like the natural look.
- 42:56Speaker 1: And then there was a time, same guy that I
- 42:59Speaker 1: did that and I go into the bathroom and there's
- 43:01Speaker 1: a poop in the toilet, and I was like, you, motherfucker.
- 43:04Speaker 1: I'm in here where I makeup to go to bed
- 43:07Speaker 1: for you, and you leave a shit in the fucking toilet.
- 43:10Speaker 1: You can't even flush your shit. You can't even flush
- 43:14Speaker 1: your shit to keep me attracted to you, And I'm
- 43:17Speaker 1: here like making sure that my one pimple is fucking
- 43:22Speaker 1: covered up. You ass man.
- 43:26Speaker 2: Is the funniest thing ever. I'm so accurate, not to everyone,
- 43:31Speaker 2: but you guys, Come on.
- 43:33Speaker 1: Men are disgusting. Yeah, and you with your makeup off
- 43:36Speaker 1: will always be a billion times more beautiful yeah than
- 43:40Speaker 1: a man on his nicest day. Yeah, that's true. It's
- 43:44Speaker 1: so true. Even if you're married and in love, men
- 43:46Speaker 1: are just gross. Men are gross, all right, So there's okay.
- 43:51Speaker 2: I think the bottom line is dating apps work.
- 43:55Speaker 1: Yeah, no, I gather trust me. That's why I did
- 43:58Speaker 1: this because when I just to like put myself out
- 44:01Speaker 1: there again, I'm gonna know that's a safe place like
- 44:05Speaker 1: I'm not and that'ses do it.
- 44:06Speaker 2: There are options, Yeah, okay, I.
- 44:08Speaker 1: Will put the PI on anybody. I swipe right on
- 44:11Speaker 1: as you should ups her. PI knows all about you.
- 44:15Speaker 3: Don't question it, okay. Last one this is from Amelia.
- 44:21Speaker 3: You asked for dating app stories and minus positive. I
- 44:24Speaker 3: was twenty six and hadn't seriously dated anyone in a while,
- 44:27Speaker 3: and my roommate made me download Tinder, which I was
- 44:30Speaker 3: very against because I wanted my rom com meet a
- 44:32Speaker 3: man in a bookshop moment. But whatever, I at least
- 44:35Speaker 3: thought it would be entertaining. I talked to a few
- 44:37Speaker 3: people and then matched with a man named Joe whose
- 44:41Speaker 3: opening line was pasta or tacos. I responded, pasta, I
- 44:45Speaker 3: don't eat meat.
- 44:46Speaker 2: He asked me out to eat at a great Italian restaurant.
- 44:49Speaker 1: I went.
- 44:50Speaker 3: Turns out we both went to the same college, so
- 44:52Speaker 3: lots to talk about. But he worked as a director
- 44:55Speaker 3: on a morning TV show and worked at four am
- 44:58Speaker 3: Wednesday to Sunday. That didn't really work with my weekend
- 45:02Speaker 3: drunken confidence of drunkenly making out.
- 45:05Speaker 2: So we legit old school dated for a month. He
- 45:08Speaker 2: picked me up, had a great date, and then he
- 45:10Speaker 2: dropped me off, didn't even kiss. We eventually established we
- 45:15Speaker 2: liked each other and are now married and expecting our
- 45:17Speaker 2: first child May eighteenth.
- 45:19Speaker 1: Oh, that's coming up.
- 45:21Speaker 3: I credit soberly virginally Dating for this.
- 45:25Speaker 1: Did I read that right? Virginally?
- 45:27Speaker 2: Soberly virginally is that?
- 45:30Speaker 1: Yeah? It probably means that they held off on sex
- 45:34Speaker 1: and they didn't get drunk. Interesting, well, maybe they didn't
- 45:38Speaker 1: drink at all.
- 45:39Speaker 3: Tinder Wow getting married?
- 45:42Speaker 1: Okay? Well, first of all, to her, congratulations on your
- 45:45Speaker 1: baby coming like very very soon. That is so exciting.
- 45:49Speaker 1: Anytime anyone tells me that they're expecting their first baby,
- 45:51Speaker 1: I get so excited for them because it is a
- 45:56Speaker 1: heavenly experience. The closest you will ever get to have
- 46:00Speaker 1: is when you meet your child for real. I'm not kidding.
- 46:04Speaker 1: I that's how I explain it. Really beautiful. Oh, thanks John,
- 46:09Speaker 1: I'm serious. That's it's incredible. These are actually making me
- 46:15Speaker 1: really excited to join a dating app at some point.
- 46:17Speaker 3: Yeah, and I need to tell you this because I
- 46:20Speaker 3: just clicked on Amelia's name and I'm creeping her page.
- 46:23Speaker 3: This is her bio Real Housewives of Columbus tagline. I
- 46:27Speaker 3: may run away from bugs, but I never run away
- 46:30Speaker 3: from confrontation.
- 46:32Speaker 1: Wow, I'm pressed.
- 46:34Speaker 3: That's savage, sassy. Yeah, So what do you think about
- 46:39Speaker 3: dating is apps? After after just a few of many
- 46:43Speaker 3: stories and dms.
- 46:44Speaker 1: We got Okay, so the ones that you read all positive,
- 46:48Speaker 1: love them. But the game changer for me was the
- 46:51Speaker 1: first one that I told you about that eight out
- 46:53Speaker 1: of ten of her couples that she photographs are people
- 46:57Speaker 1: that met on dating app. I just think it's the
- 46:59Speaker 1: new to do things right. Yeah, and people that are
- 47:03Speaker 1: on them, I think it depends on which one, Like
- 47:05Speaker 1: I'd have to research, like which ones do people find?
- 47:09Speaker 3: It?
- 47:09Speaker 1: Sounds like Tinder and Bumble are the most well known.
- 47:12Speaker 1: Yeah right. I like Bumble because I get to make
- 47:15Speaker 1: the first move and kind of call the shots, and
- 47:17Speaker 1: that's the virgo in me. I like to maintain control.
- 47:20Speaker 3: Oh and you said Tinder and Bumble. My friend Olivia,
- 47:23Speaker 3: who I went on the baucheorette party with in Miami.
- 47:26Speaker 3: Is marrying her fiance Myron, and they met on match
- 47:30Speaker 3: dot com and her mom made her a profile.
- 47:35Speaker 1: She set her up.
- 47:36Speaker 3: And Olivia was like, absolutely not and she found the
- 47:40Speaker 3: man of her dreams.
- 47:42Speaker 1: So match dot COM's another one. Okay, I love all
- 47:45Speaker 1: of it. Yeah, I fuck with match dot Com. The
- 47:49Speaker 1: one thing that I would have to probably put in
- 47:51Speaker 1: my profile is I am not looking to legally wed.
- 47:55Speaker 1: I would love to find someone who I'm head over heels.
- 47:59Speaker 1: I want my like Cravis moment. That's what it's called, Travis. Yeah. Yeah,
- 48:05Speaker 1: I want to like just dive in like that. But no,
- 48:11Speaker 1: I don't want to be tied to you in a
- 48:13Speaker 1: way that I can't get out of right, right, like
- 48:18Speaker 1: just a simple like ceremony committing ourselves in front of
- 48:21Speaker 1: God and then let's like put the rest of it.
- 48:25Speaker 1: I don't I'm not trying to do that. That was
- 48:26Speaker 1: not legally married. I don't want to ever legally get married.
- 48:30Speaker 3: Wow, I didn't know that. Yeah, what's the benefit of
- 48:34Speaker 3: it then, because literally there's a lot of benefit, is there?
- 48:36Speaker 1: Okay it doesn't work out, there's a lot of shit.
- 48:39Speaker 3: Yeah, yes, because I always said, I mean Kyle and
- 48:42Speaker 3: I I for like, since I met Kyle, I'm like.
- 48:45Speaker 2: Why do people get married?
- 48:47Speaker 1: Like?
- 48:47Speaker 3: I get it, that's because I was always like, I
- 48:49Speaker 3: get its tradition, but is it like for finance and
- 48:52Speaker 3: tax breaks?
- 48:53Speaker 1: Like why? So that's interesting? Well, I think for taxes
- 48:56Speaker 1: it helps if you're married. Yeah, it obviously, but it
- 49:00Speaker 1: complicates things a lot if you are. I mean, you
- 49:05Speaker 1: inherit their debts. If they're involved in lawsuits, you could
- 49:09Speaker 1: inherit that burden and I just don't want to be
- 49:14Speaker 1: attached to you like that.
- 49:16Speaker 3: Yeah, yes, that's interesting. You say that because when I
- 49:19Speaker 3: met Kyl, I said, we're not getting married until I
- 49:21Speaker 3: pay off my student loans.
- 49:22Speaker 1: And I just paid them off. I know. I already
- 49:24Speaker 1: said this as a DAPs for Jazz. So no legal.
- 49:27Speaker 2: Marriage for La La, and she's putting that out there.
- 49:30Speaker 1: Yep, don't cheat, be loyal, be my best friend. I
- 49:32Speaker 1: don't want to marry you, though.
- 49:34Speaker 2: Love it beautifully said.
- 49:36Speaker 1: And give me beautiful babies.
- 49:39Speaker 2: You already have the most beautiful and I don't see another.
- 49:42Speaker 1: I mean when I say beautiful, no matter what your
- 49:45Speaker 1: kid looks like when they come out of you they're
- 49:47Speaker 1: the most perfect thing in the world. Like, all you
- 49:49Speaker 1: want is to have a healthy baby. And I used
- 49:52Speaker 1: to look at people when I'd be like, do you
