Latest / Urantia Radio / The Jesus Metaverse, Part 1
Transcript
- 0:35I'm very excited about this episode of The Ranch Radio
- 0:38podcast. You might remember a few
- 0:40episodes ago, we spoke with Gabriel Ryan, Berg and others
- 0:44from the center for Unity project.
- 0:46What is the Jesus metaverse? Well, it started with an idea
- 0:51Gabriel. Who, by the way, was
- 0:53instrumental. In the Rancher book Hebrew
- 0:55translation had the idea of taking the life and teachings of
- 0:59Jesus from the Rancho book and creating an enormous
- 1:03cross-referencing database. That connects the events, the
- 1:07people and the ideas of Jesus during his life based on the
- 1:11life and teachings of Jesus from the Urantia book.
- 1:14And so the idea was born What we're going to learn in this
- 1:17podcast, is how the pieces came together and what the potential
- 1:22this project has for inspiring generations to come.
- 1:26What's more this project involves?
- 1:27Urantia book readers from all over the world.
- 1:31So let's sit back and learn all about the Jesus metaverse.
- 1:34Oh, and PS, his metaverse has nothing to do with wearing funny
- 1:39goggles or joining Facebook. What's Happening Here is nothing
- 1:43short of exciting, could even be a game.
- 1:46Changer for the Revelation. So let me begin as Gabriel
- 1:49introduces his team featuring Gary Tong, Lisa, Tau and Andre
- 1:55Reed Otis as we jump into the Jesus metaverse in this episode
- 1:59of the Rancher Radio podcast. Gabriel, first of all.
- 2:02Thank you so much for coming back.
- 2:04I've got nothing but great response.
- 2:06People are just so excited about what you, what you are doing.
- 2:11Briefly introduce your team and then we'll get into the
- 2:13specifics about what each person is.
- 2:16Doing with this project, great. So, thank you for having us
- 2:19again. We also are getting a lot of
- 2:22responses, and positive, feedbacks and donations, so
- 2:26something obviously is working, and we're very grateful.
- 2:31We have Lisa and Gary who are from Canada from the Vancouver
- 2:35area. And there are husband and wife,
- 2:39team story in it of itself and Andre from the Boulder Colorado
- 2:45area. Andre is responsible for our
- 2:49editorial. Voice is going to be both
- 2:52creating content and also editing specifically the written
- 2:57content. We're creating original.
- 2:59Basically secondary Works based on part 4 of you Rancher books.
- 3:04So, Andre is going to be as a long-term reader as a student of
- 3:08this book, as a master of English and writer, he's going
- 3:15to lend all of these. Scales into creating beautiful
- 3:20Pages. Lisa is going to design visually
- 3:24and design. The Experience, somebody will go
- 3:27through this metaverse, which is a software product and Gary is
- 3:32artistic director. He everything, you will see with
- 3:35your eyes, it has to do with colors and shapes and how things
- 3:40blend together artistically. This is as many people in our
- 3:45community. No his his great gift.
- 3:48So he will be lending those skills.
- 3:52So we like to call ourselves the user experience and content
- 3:56creation T. There tomorrow we will meet
- 3:59another aspect of the metaverse, which is the data curation team
- 4:03and we'll get into those details.
- 4:08Yeah, this is, this is our team and we'll be happy to delve
- 4:12deeper. So let's delve deeper, tell me
- 4:15the Eject started. When I'm, we talked a little bit
- 4:18in the previous podcast about your experiences and your life
- 4:23leading up to the point where you came upon this idea.
- 4:26So when did it, when did it first?
- 4:29Like the expression when did you break ground?
- 4:32And what was that experience? So about the end of July last
- 4:38year, July, 20, 21. I had many discussions with Jim
- 4:43English, who produced The Beautiful.
- 4:46Work called the untold story of Jesus.
- 4:49It's now in its second printing. So we were discussing many ideas
- 4:54and he heard about the meta first, I mean, everybody hears
- 5:00that word, of course, now with Facebook and meta it's becoming
- 5:04a little bit of punch line to a joke.
- 5:10We'll discuss these aspects a little bit later.
- 5:13But Jim came with this idea of Something that goes deeper into
- 5:21the life and teachings of Jesus. And when he mentioned in this
- 5:26discussion, he mentioned the word or the works of the master
- 5:30seraphim who servers as Clearing, Houses of information,
- 5:35and that expression, I don't remember the exact quote, but
- 5:38that expression got me, not thinking, but it was, is like a
- 5:45seed that started working with Amy.
- 5:47And I think I month later I just woke up one Saturday morning.
- 5:56I'll be a big graphic but not too graphic.
- 5:58I went to the toilet but I took my phone and I was sitting on
- 6:03the toilet and talking and I talked for like three minutes I
- 6:09recorded it. I knew I had to record it and
- 6:12what my ears heard where basically the foundation.
- 6:17In, for this project. This was late July.
- 6:21I share this with Gary, which we did a lot of things together.
- 6:25I share this with, with Jim and then, the next thing that
- 6:29happened is okay. Let's do, let's build a computer
- 6:34model for describing the entire life and teachings of Jesus and
- 6:41I and and when you were going to do a software product.
- 6:44So I started I'm a software guy but I wasn't Current with
- 6:48database Technologies and then just like everything else in
- 6:53life. You know, I got passed from one
- 6:55person to another, and then one of them mentioned there's
- 6:58something called a graph database, which is basically
- 7:02circles connected with lines. And when I heard that, I knew
- 7:07inside, this is what I was looking for.
- 7:09So I started researching, the next thing that happened is I
- 7:12did a graph description of How to organize the information from
- 7:20part, four of the Rancho book. And I went through a couple of
- 7:23iterations of that and then immediately, I started building
- 7:27tools. So we could actually do this
- 7:30work and we build the data curation team back in.
- 7:33Basically, a year from a year ago.
- 7:37So I gave them all these tools and I built this process where
- 7:42we started collecting. But then I we kept talking Gary
- 7:47and And I as we were doing still and then the idea came.
- 7:52Okay, let's do, let's start to design some kind of a product, a
- 7:56software product, a prototype. So we spend the next three
- 7:59months doing that and then I hired some programmers and we
- 8:04get this database that we were working on.
- 8:06So, but that time by January, we basically went through the
- 8:11entire installed story of Jesus which is 350 pages.
- 8:15And we got hundreds of data points from that, and then we
- 8:20built a software prototype back in January.
- 8:25And Lisa was in the background, she saw everything to Gary and I
- 8:30were doing and sometime around February.
- 8:33She said, maybe I can help you. And, and I said, yes.
- 8:37And then we started the second generation of this product,
- 8:41which she will describe it in detail.
- 8:44So There was an Insight from Jim.
- 8:47And then, there was some instructions that I received for
- 8:52lack of a better word and idea. We started building a computer
- 8:56model, then we did a prototype. And then we said, okay, now we
- 9:01know exact, we know roughly where we're going, but we, if we
- 9:05want to do this, right, we're going to start a process, that
- 9:09involves some someone like Lisa that has expertise in user
- 9:14experience. And user interface design and
- 9:18then Andre Gary and several other people came along to
- 9:24complement this team. We have another team member that
- 9:26is started to work about two weeks ago.
- 9:30His name is Fraser, is also from the Toronto area and he's going
- 9:35to be basically developing this software this team, the data
- 9:38curation team and Frasier are all the components working in
- 9:42parallel. You must have an end vision in
- 9:46mind of how you see this being used by people who walk into
- 9:51this experience, tell us what that vision is, how does a
- 9:53person after all of this is completed?
- 9:56What will be their experience? So, what we're starting with is
- 10:01an experience that will incorporate and we're riding
- 10:07textual material to present this, and then we're laying it
- 10:11out for you with additional me. A files audio files, video
- 10:16files, Comics paintings anything artistic that can embellish this
- 10:21experience. So you can think of it as the
- 10:25internet of today, using the Technologies of today.
- 10:28Something that can run on a browser on your phone on a
- 10:31tablet. You don't need special
- 10:33equipment. It's still going to be
- 10:35media-rich, it's going to give you an experience of what was
- 10:40it. Then, 2,000 years ago, that
- 10:42happened house. Things are connected and we're
- 10:46going to take the information from part.
- 10:47Four of you launch a book, which has basically the director's cut
- 10:52version of Jesus life. It's got so much information
- 10:55that fills in the details of the gospels that we're going to use
- 11:00to present it to you. So there's a research mode where
- 11:03you basically can choose and pick whatever you want to go
- 11:06deeper to and then we have more like a journey on the life of
- 11:11Jesus which is directed. And then we also I have and say
- 11:16studies. So, we take a topic, we take a
- 11:19question that interests the young people today and we break
- 11:23it into smaller chunks and we take you through different
- 11:27things that happened during the life and teach during the life
- 11:31of Jesus to expose this and expound this topic.
- 11:37So for example, gender equality could be something that interest
- 11:40a lot of people today. What was Jesus is thinking, and
- 11:45what did he actually do, when he was alive on this planet, to
- 11:49show his thinking, and his ideas about gender equality.
- 11:53So, we're going to take multiple episodes and basically build an
- 11:57experience that is just that. So, those are two segments of
- 12:03the product, there's a journey, there's research mode, where you
- 12:07can go anywhere you want, and then there's a whole social
- 12:10component where you're interacting with other people.
- 12:14Your peers other students but also mentors that will be able
- 12:20to help you go through your spiritual experience.
- 12:23We did a lot of reading and understanding what are the young
- 12:28people of today? The generations, he's and the
- 12:31Millennials looking for, and not finding sadly in institutional
- 12:36religion, and this is not criticism against christianism,
- 12:40or Judaism, or Hinduism, those religions have served Humanity
- 12:44for a long time but somehow it feels like the generations of
- 12:49today. I'm not finding answers, they're
- 12:52not being served as well as they could and it takes time for
- 12:57those religions to change. And there's there's a vacuum
- 13:01there and many things are coming into this vacuum to help these.
- 13:04People find God. So we hope that we can serve
- 13:08them in this capacity by sharing with them as much information
- 13:12and insight from the life. And Chance of Jesus in a way
- 13:16that is engaging. That is fun but also very deep
- 13:21very touching. So these are the various
- 13:24components of the product. The end it's a software product
- 13:28based on a very detailed model and we're building from part. 4
- 13:33of your entrepot quic has thousands of data points and we
- 13:37spend thousands of hours doing that you can almost think about
- 13:41it. Like part of this product is
- 13:42almost like an Fire. Wikipedia just about the life
- 13:46and teachings of Jesus with all the connections and the
- 13:49intricacies. And we're writing this material
- 13:51right now and Andres leading that team with several writers.
- 13:56Chris and Mary Jo is writing right now.
- 13:59And also Rick Warren is right here right now and we need more.
- 14:03So anybody who would like to join that team is welcome.
- 14:07I think that's a good way to put it.
- 14:08It's a Wikipedia for the, for the life of Jesus based on the
- 14:13incorporating. The fourth part of the ranch
- 14:15book. I could see there might be some
- 14:16conflict. So how do you reconcile when
- 14:18there are going to be obvious differences, that people who are
- 14:22more akin to the knowledge of the gospels, might say, well
- 14:25that's not the way it was. Have you given thought to how
- 14:28you can integrate both of or is it even necessary?
- 14:31Are you going to stay strict with the fourth part of the
- 14:34Urantia book? Let me take a stab at that.
- 14:38In the first place. Obviously, there is the whole
- 14:44Spirit of the project would be to be in harmony with all the
- 14:50teachings of the world that are out there religiously and
- 14:54spiritually. It's not that we're not going to
- 14:59find factual contradictions. But we will find ways as we work
- 15:06through these things and let's face it.
- 15:08This kind of project has never been done before.
- 15:12This this idea of trying to fully represent the life and
- 15:18teachings of Jesus has never been done to this extent before.
- 15:23We have some clothes attempts, we have beautiful movies like
- 15:29done by zeffirelli. We have and many many others.
- 15:34We also have now the chosen series beautiful series that's
- 15:38being done. That is inspiring many, many
- 15:41people. Well, all of these things are
- 15:46taking. something as a basis and filling in the gaps in what they
- 15:54regard to be a responsible way the advantage.
- 15:58We believe we have with the Rancher book is that we believe
- 16:03that this is revelation, we believe that they're, they're
- 16:07representing things as they happened.
- 16:10So when it comes in conflict, with some of these things, I
- 16:16think what we can do is we can mediate those conflicts One of
- 16:22the things that that will be a big part of both the curation
- 16:26process and of actually representing the content of the
- 16:31Rancher will be to be doing it in the context of what is known
- 16:36already or what is believed already.
- 16:41And looking at how we can bridge to what the Rancho book is
- 16:45saying. Now that's a gargantuan task.
- 16:49Because for one thing we know that there's a great deal of
- 16:53intolerance. So the first thing that we need
- 16:56to bridge is the idea of how do we get people to an attitude of
- 17:02Tolerance? How do we get them to a place
- 17:05where they can consider, you know, this could have happened
- 17:10this way, we're going to have probably great difficulties with
- 17:17say Fundamentalist. It's but after all, doesn't the
- 17:22whole world have a problem with fundamentalist attitudes
- 17:25already? Isn't that part of the problem
- 17:28we have in the world today? And so, some of what we need to
- 17:33do, we literally need to understand ourselves in this
- 17:38project as mediators in the world for trying to bring
- 17:43people. Willingly not unwillingly but
- 17:48bring them willingly to a consideration of what could have
- 17:53been now. As you know, there is one
- 17:57advantage we have. We do have the spirit of Truth
- 18:01functional the spirit of Truth is trying to illuminate not not
- 18:07fact so much but the livability and that which is significant in
- 18:15Bring people to God in whatever writings there are out there.
- 18:21So how do we learn to tune into that to become attuned?
- 18:27To that to such an extent that we're now able to move people
- 18:34past what they might be stuck on.
- 18:37I like to use the analogy of a sweater caught on a nail.
- 18:42Okay, you have you when you're Sir, gets caught a nail, you can
- 18:46keep walking, but you're going to have problems if you keep
- 18:49walking that way and we know that Christianity has certain
- 18:53problems things. They can't explain when we get
- 18:56to a place where we can explain it a little bit better.
- 19:00That's that's only a beginning and it's really not the first
- 19:04way. What we need to do is to bring
- 19:05people to a knowledge that we're on the same side.
- 19:09We're trying to bring people to a knowledge of the life and
- 19:12teachings of Jesus to the And that the world becomes a better
- 19:16place and that the world becomes more inclusive and not less.
- 19:21So now, is the world ready for that today?
- 19:26Perhaps not. Exactly.
- 19:28There are a lot of people that are belief based and believe
- 19:31that holding on to those beliefs is the only way to conserve
- 19:37morality and quote, the spirituality that they know, But
- 19:44hopefully, we can get people to a place where they understand
- 19:48that we're trying to bridge them, to a living spirituality,
- 19:52that would allow them to know. God more just in the same way
- 19:57that Pastor tried to bring us to know, God more, this project is
- 20:01really about Illuminating and bringing Jesus to life.
- 20:06Yeah, clearly clearly. That's what we're trying to do.
- 20:08We're trying to bring them to a greater knowledge of both Jesus.
- 20:13It's been teaching and that's one of the bridges because
- 20:16Christians definitely want to know more about the life and
- 20:18teachings of Jesus. But I think there is also a
- 20:21growing cohort within every religion that if they knew that
- 20:26there was more to be learned about Jesus, as a human being.
- 20:33And as someone who wasn't necessarily Christian, okay,
- 20:38someone who will have been the first place was a Jew, you know?
- 20:43And he didn't say, okay, now I'd like you all to call yourselves
- 20:48Christians. That's something that his
- 20:50followers did after the fact, no problem with that.
- 20:55But so, so often things are framed in the way that
- 21:02everything now revolves around that Christian sensibility.
- 21:06And what I think we need to do is get to the place of
- 21:09understanding, that Jesus was more Universal than that, that
- 21:12in fact. He was trying to do was yes,
- 21:16there's that sort of out their message of he was bestowed for,
- 21:22and on behalf of a whole universe.
- 21:24But even if we just make Universal the whole world,
- 21:28wasn't he trying to win the whole world.
- 21:30But understanding of God, the father, and if he was, would he
- 21:34have been putting out a message that could only be received by
- 21:39one part of humanity. Largely, the occident, Right,
- 21:43that would not have been as methodology.
- 21:45In fact, we know that the reason it's only appealing to the
- 21:49oxidant is because of how his followers interpreted it.
- 21:54Obviously, there's a lot of negotiation that needs to happen
- 21:59with the constants here and how we get this across, but that's
- 22:03all in development. And that's, that's our our aim,
- 22:07that's our goal. Our goal is to universalize this
- 22:12to bring in, to make inclusive this kind of an experience as
- 22:17opposed to excluding. And after all, there are plenty
- 22:20of people that we would like to see See this that have given up
- 22:25on Christianity entirely. We ought not to just because
- 22:31most of us are, you know, United States or America Centric.
- 22:36We ought to realize that in much of the rest of the world.
- 22:40Christianity has fallen out of favor.
- 22:44In many countries in Europe Church.
- 22:48Attendance is on the decline. It's largely people are Our
- 22:54Generation, my general speak for myself, my generation that are
- 22:59still going, but the younger you go, the fewer are actually in
- 23:04attendance. So Christianity is not speaking
- 23:07universally, it may be winning certain of those that would like
- 23:12a belief based religion that would like a more fundamentalist
- 23:17approach and R12 that kind of idea.
- 23:20And I think we need to present a more universal view.
- 23:23Oh of God, the one that Jesus intended, which was simply
- 23:27because God is our father, our loving parent, all men and women
- 23:31are brothers and sisters. How much simpler can you get?
- 23:35And it's, you know, to be sure. It's not going to be presented
- 23:38as a substitute for a personal relationship with God.
- 23:43But hopefully what it does, is it acts as a vehicle, that
- 23:49facilitates that relationship were gone.
- 23:52I mean, that would be the whole point of everything.
- 23:53It's the whole point of reading the Bible or reading the life
- 23:57and teachings of Jesus or having an experience of going to the
- 24:01Holy Land. You know, going to the places in
- 24:05Israel or whatever that experience is were serving your
- 24:08fellows. All of those things are meant to
- 24:12bring one into closer relationship with the master and
- 24:17thereby with God. There's a line in the book where
- 24:22it says the power of any idea is not in the truth but in its
- 24:28appeal to people. So from an artistic point of
- 24:32view, How Gary are you going to bring in that artistic part
- 24:36element of this project and share that with us?
- 24:40Because we love what you do. Frankly, I mean, it's just
- 24:43mind-blowing. Thank you so much.
- 24:44Jim, it's great to be here. I know it's interesting that you
- 24:48ask me that question because Yeah, the answers are Andre and
- 24:52Gabriel of already been giving add contacts to how I'm
- 24:58approaching it, you know. Yes of course I'm a visual
- 25:00artist and you know, and I do a lot of presentation materials
- 25:03and videos and and some search. But a lot of what I'm trying to
- 25:09do all of my origins of mine in Gabriel's relationship on this
- 25:12and of course, like what with andreea for a long time and I'm
- 25:16kind, of course Eliza remarried is I try to see it from that
- 25:23reality balanced perspective. So rather than just looking at
- 25:26how you embellish some, my approach to this is MM is in
- 25:29some respects. I take a little bit of a
- 25:30backseat. This problem understanding Jesus
- 25:34in a, in a world form this matter metaverse War form, which
- 25:38allows you to all allow somebody who are non biblical, or you run
- 25:43a book reader to come to the site and learn about parts of
- 25:49it. Jesus is life that they find
- 25:51interesting in a nonlinear way, in a way that suits them.
- 25:56And, and so that the, the hope with that is because it makes a
- 26:01little bit easier. I mean, I think you're already
- 26:03mentioned. It's Jim even reading the
- 26:05Urantia block or just reading part for the ranch because a
- 26:07significant undertaking, I recently restart a start of a
- 26:11term and another many, a reading of the orange book and I'm
- 26:14really pleased how much of the forward I understand.
- 26:17But brightest is Quite surprising.
- 26:21Actually I'm nodding about to myself but you know and and
- 26:23that's and on obviously that comes from 25 years of study.
- 26:28So when it comes to the artistic vision of this, I'm mainly
- 26:33taking somewhat of a backseat to the UI and ux of it and the
- 26:37functionality of what it needs to be because I want to be able
- 26:40to make sure that when people are on on these different pages
- 26:46ever. Look at a Jesus, or they're
- 26:47looking at, you know, that the time line for two Slim or
- 26:50something like that. That they, the most important
- 26:52thing is they get the values and the information in there,
- 26:56without it being over embellished, wherever what would
- 26:59that they're the embellishment is serviceable to what we're
- 27:02trying to get people to understand.
- 27:04And and yeah, I think you touched on it as well.
- 27:06You know, the there is there is there's this cause to have, you
- 27:11know, the biblical working there as well.
- 27:13And I'm, I'm from a creative perspective.
- 27:17I again, it's not about me drawing it.
- 27:19This is a kind of How I think about things, you can put the
- 27:22biblical teachings, alongside the teachings that are in Iran.
- 27:25Should look at. And you can allow those two
- 27:26things to sit beside each other. And, you can allow the
- 27:29critically thinking truth-seeking person, who who's
- 27:33appraising those two materials to make a decision on which they
- 27:36think is more compatible to how they feel, or how they know,
- 27:39what they feel about Jesus. And, and Truth has nothing to
- 27:42fear from honest inquiry and you can allow those things to to
- 27:47prove out in the mind of the individual who And what the I
- 27:51think one of the most compelling things about the method versus
- 27:54idea that the non-linearity of how you can interact with it,
- 27:59that it takes something that seems familiar Ville if you were
- 28:04to be given it as a board, but it turns it into something where
- 28:06you can skip around. Hopefully, you can move around
- 28:09it in a, in a smooth and slick, and intuitive way, and maybe
- 28:15find those little nuggets of edification and inspiration and
- 28:19Truth. With that help.
- 28:21You want to learn more at a personal level, just the the
- 28:25little go back to round my visualizations, when any of the
- 28:28presentations that laundry and I make, or any of the work that I
- 28:31do with on other projects as well, I'm always trying to make
- 28:36it possible that the that a non-reader can watch or listen
- 28:41to it. And they can find a way of on
- 28:44ramping to the more significant material on their own terms.
- 28:49There's no Absolutely, no way you can take somebody who's not
- 28:52ready for a new information on Jesus and expect them to
- 28:55suddenly take that on just because it's better information.
- 28:58What? I think about the metal versus
- 29:01purposes it'll be I think it'll allow people to be in a space
- 29:06where there's a cultivated feel at that.
- 29:10You can take it at your own pace that you can.
- 29:12You can mix your eye, you know, your own study by it won't.
- 29:16We're also meeting with other people and and and those come
- 29:20conversations can help ripen your understanding or they can
- 29:23help you feel more energized towards greater and truths to do
- 29:29with Jesus's life or altering your previous perspectives.
- 29:32You know how many times have we reread that we read a passage
- 29:35from Jesus in the ranch booking and you know it leaps off the
- 29:39page differently just because you read it a few times and
- 29:41you've had time that. So this is the same thing.
- 29:45And and in some ways it's the way that the arrangement was
- 29:49written, of course is like Meant to be the authoritative
- 29:53elimination of error, and many other things.
- 29:55But, but that doesn't, that what we're doing is that a lot of the
- 29:59projects I work on are all. Secondary works there,
- 30:02transmuting. Something very complicated.
- 30:04You know, and some of it is extremely complicated.
- 30:07Everyone on this, call note, and then you're turning into
- 30:10something that can be given to a non-reader or give it to someone
- 30:15who's just thinking to themselves while I wish there
- 30:17was a little bit more. To know and they finish.
- 30:22Secondary works are really important.
- 30:24I see them was building a bridge between nowhere, where we are
- 30:30and where we need to be. And I think something else, I
- 30:32don't know, Gabriel mentioned this, I'm going to take away
- 30:34some of his Thunder, but it's what I love about how we're
- 30:38trying to position. This is, we're trying to explain
- 30:42Jesus before Christianity, which rectorate were pulling in and
- 30:47out of the of the Ecclesiastical mechanisms that they use him.
- 30:54We're pulling it to hit to it towards him.
- 30:56We're taking it away from all that.
- 30:57You know what? How did Jesus is life and
- 31:00teachings? Create such a wealth of faith
- 31:06and belief that they ended up making Christianity around him
- 31:10around that life. And now I've answered nothing
- 31:14but visualization so I'm well but now I think you open some
- 31:17doors to other things that And I would have eventually got to.
- 31:21So are you is this the challenge that you're going to take every
- 31:26story in the fourth part and and and have it all documented?
- 31:30Or are you? So, for example, the the
- 31:33apostles, there's a section where the Urantia book goes
- 31:37through each of the Apostles and their lives and who they were,
- 31:40and you know, how their parents raise them.
- 31:42And so you're going to tackle that aspect, nothing.
- 31:45Nothing in fourth. The fourth part will be left
- 31:48out. Or are you going?
- 31:49When for illustration purposes, maybe pick some key points of
- 31:55Jesus life. Maybe his travels through Rome
- 31:58how much detail and specificity. Do you go into and what
- 32:02determines that level of specificity?
- 32:05When you guys are laying out the timelines and everything that
- 32:08you're needing tell this story or to rephrase the story.
- 32:13I apologize for briefly on my behalf and then so that, for
- 32:17instance, I the way I see is a prioritization so where there's
- 32:21a thickness of information that we need to focus more on that
- 32:26first Gabriel's already explained for want of a better
- 32:30phrase where bootstrapping to on this production you know with
- 32:34this isn't a production that's been given 50 million dollars
- 32:37and only have like a large production team, what will
- 32:39happen to be quite careful about how much time we use and how we
- 32:42use that. Time so.
- 32:43Well, as part of that, where we'll be building out the
- 32:46highest priority, information first, and then, and then you
- 32:50spread out a little bit, like, a tree trunk to, you know, and,
- 32:53and the branches and the leaves that's and, and, and that's
- 32:58Wings very much to the other work that I'm doing.
- 33:00But, yeah, I'm doing other work, there's Jesus orientated as
- 33:02well, and it's all compatible with this project.
- 33:05So and there's a bit with is the thickness of it.
- 33:09They'll be more material. And as we grow the project, In
- 33:13the future that much that thickness will pass our further.
- 33:17You're leaving Yourself room to expand upon things, but for in
- 33:22the S and the effort of brevity, and then, as this thing grows,
- 33:25you can go back and expand upon right, is that?
- 33:28Yeah, I mean, it's logical to go about it that way as well
- 33:30because, you know, the we only have so much capacity and, and
- 33:33if you really got so much capacity, you can do a much
- 33:36better job if you focus on smaller parts, consecrate to do
- 33:40a good job there. Then you can if you try to The
- 33:42to, too much, too soon and what you're doing.
- 33:45When you do that, you know, I come from games development.
- 33:48So as a phrase that with using games development called a
- 33:50vertical slice, for instance, which would mean there's what
- 33:53we're going to be doing is taking his prioritizing certain
- 33:55parts. Whether it be writing editing
- 33:58and what we're doing is the early, the more, the more the
- 34:00highest priority parts of the, of the app will will be
- 34:04demonstrative of what needs to be done for the rest of it.
- 34:07That's basically how it goes on. All that gave an answer the rest
- 34:09because I know he has a lot more in know what Gary said is right
- 34:12on. And we're taking this in my,
- 34:16what I have in my mind is like a wedding cake with layers.
- 34:20So we have a base and then layer, 2 and layer 3, layer 4,
- 34:24and We actually sat down and prioritized every person
- 34:31location event, timeline relationship.
- 34:37All those no types in this computer model and one of the
- 34:42team members was tasked with saying, OK, from 1 to 5 with
- 34:47stars, you know, is this a must can we release this product
- 34:51without this, without this person or this relationship and
- 34:55then, you know, you Hard decisions but we cannot do
- 34:57everything at the same time. So we gave five stars four
- 35:00stars, three stars, two stars, one star and we're starting with
- 35:04five stars so as soon as we finish the five star material
- 35:07will go to four stars but it's but we've built like like Gary
- 35:11said we've built the infrastructure for a for a
- 35:15beautiful wedding cake with five layers.
- 35:18Only, you get a thin slice of the cake and then in a little
- 35:22bit longer, you'll get a thicker slice and a thicker slice.
- 35:25I will give you the entire experience on a subset of the
- 35:31material. What about the scholarly
- 35:33approach? Are you are you envisioning that
- 35:35this might be a helpful tool for Academia later that they can
- 35:40cross reference? And this is going to connect the
- 35:43dots. A lot of dots for a lot of
- 35:45people that are going to say, I didn't know that it's going to
- 35:49take a long time to do this. But when I was recording, that
- 35:54initial recording that I mentioned, And this comes from
- 35:57what Jim English said is over time, this, especially the
- 36:02computer model, but not the entire product.
- 36:05So, I'm talking now, by the computer model, it could
- 36:10represent basically Humanity's understanding of the life and
- 36:13teachings of Jesus, and it can keep growing over time.
- 36:17So to make this happen, I think we will do two things.
- 36:22We will publish an open source version of this computer model.
- 36:26Some people can use it and they can go online and I'll make some
- 36:29tools but they will be able to download this model and use it
- 36:34for whatever they want. They will not basically be able
- 36:39to change our model, but then we will also open it up for a
- 36:43process of. I don't know if it's academic
- 36:46but for people other people to be able to contribute, both the
- 36:51notes and the connections. So somebody has an idea of
- 36:54connecting the dots. We haven't thought about it and,
- 36:58you know, it's, it could, this could be Unlimited in the
- 37:02connections that people find. So we will invite others to
- 37:06suggest new connections and, you know, to this graph.
- 37:10So in a sense we want to open it up as soon as it's ready to the
- 37:15public at large and public an open source version of it.
- 37:18So people can download it with instructions on how to use it.
- 37:22And you know, if somebody finds an error we would like to
- 37:26Corrected. If some somebody creates new
- 37:29information, we will give them an opportunity to share with us.
- 37:32So we can put it inside our products, but also update that
- 37:36model. So we intend to share this with
- 37:38you manatee, in a way that helps other people study it, and maybe
- 37:43build other products that we don't think about using the same
- 37:46data. So, for sure it's going to be
- 37:48shared the metaverse is a software product with Lisa being
- 37:54the designer of the Perience and the interface.
- 37:57So how do we present all this information in a way that is
- 38:00accessible, Gary's doing the artistic and visual Direction
- 38:06and Andres the editorial voice? We have another person who's
- 38:11doing coding so and another team that's doing the computer model.
- 38:15So this is the whole picture. We're advancing on all fronts
- 38:20were curating data for the model.
- 38:22For one year, we've been working on the design.
- 38:26Nine of the experienced. Lisa has been leading us for
- 38:29over six months, we are now starting to build software.
- 38:33That is going to take probably between six months and a year
- 38:37until we have a working version that we can release that is that
- 38:42vertical beautiful slice of cake that you can eat.
- 38:48So, this is one project in the beginning.
- 38:51We thought that the Cinematic version is going to be Short
- 38:57stories, five to ten minutes, like one scene that you can
- 39:01start to finish. And of course, it has to do with
- 39:04Jesus and something that happened but not necessarily
- 39:07connected to others. And then we thought we were
- 39:11going to put this inside the middle verse in different areas
- 39:15of the project, but we since pivoted into a more, like the
- 39:20chosen model based on part, 4 of you run, two books.
- 39:24So we're now Looking at a TV series or a series of films
- 39:30episodio over many hours of film.
- 39:34So 50 episodes, 70 episodes something very very large but
- 39:39documents in drama. The entire life of Jesus.
- 39:44We are we have a new member on this team that has been writing
- 39:51original screenplays and she's written for already.
- 39:56So we're now assemble assembling a team content.
- 40:00Team. Now we'll start working on on
- 40:03the entire concept and on the pilot episode which will be
- 40:07probably 30 to 50 minutes of film, right?
- 40:12It's drama. Yeah.
- 40:14So we're working on that. But this is separate from the
- 40:16middle verse call, bviously all that material will filter back
- 40:22and we're using the data from the computer model and ideas.
- 40:26Develop in the metaverse in the Cinematic project.
- 40:30So there are obviously connected and we have the same management
- 40:34team for all of the projects. So, all the information is being
- 40:38shared. One thing, we have not heard
- 40:40from Lisa, was plays a big role in all this, maybe we could
- 40:44bring her in Lisa. Tell me what brought you into
- 40:47this project and and what your contribution is and what you re
- 40:51what, what really makes you excited about this project.
- 40:57Hi. Thanks for having me, sorry,
- 40:59I've been kind of quiet. I just kind of listening in
- 41:01everybody. Talking introducing the project.
- 41:05I hate him in here when Gabriel and Gary was working on their
- 41:10first proof of concept prototype.
- 41:13And that was basically like a little app where you can, it
- 41:17kind of displays like what they had, like the no types and then
- 41:21all this webs of information tongue, how the users can see.
- 41:25And then I'll go. I mean, This could be way
- 41:28better. And I just jumped in and like,
- 41:31okay, I think you guys will probably need help like getting
- 41:37some more insights from the users point of view because now,
- 41:40like we have this thing where it's like, we know what we're
- 41:43making and we know everything about Jesus, but how the users
- 41:47are going to perceive this is going to be, you know, different
- 41:49from what we know. So, I just came in and started
- 41:53doing research for, you know what, this generation
- 41:57generation, Jaden gen Z and Millennials, and how they feel
- 42:01about religion and we kind of started from Like what do they
- 42:04need? Like how do they perceive
- 42:06religion? And like, do they know, do they
- 42:09want to know? And we got some answers were
- 42:12like, oh, I think this giant origination, they are interested
- 42:16in religion. But they like spirituality
- 42:18spirituality, mostly not religion.
- 42:21Like they are more into their personal growth and how they
- 42:25have relationship with like the /, but not so much about the
- 42:30incident institutionalized religion because So I think they
- 42:33feel judged by them, and if you're uncomfortable with that,
- 42:37it's kind of like a top-10 top-down system, and a lot of
- 42:40bad press about the, you know, Christianity and all that going
- 42:44around. So they were they were they
- 42:48needed this, they wanted to know more about it and they do have,
- 42:52you know, they want to Foster their personal face so but they
- 42:55had no like other way of learning this.
- 42:58So, this is kind of like our mission is to help create Ate
- 43:03something that will help the younger generation to get into
- 43:08this easier. So it's more like like Andre
- 43:11says, it's like it should be accessible and inclusive for the
- 43:14younger generation like they shouldn't be feeling judged or,
- 43:19you know, scary. So this is kind of like what we
- 43:23are. This is our focus when we are
- 43:25building. This product is, they know,
- 43:28we're making this for the younger generation.
- 43:30We're making this for every single person or who are Rested
- 43:33in Jesus and we be planted in Jesus that that would be a
- 43:39question. I would ask according to the
- 43:41data that you've got our people that even interested I don't get
- 43:45the feeling they are but I could be wrong.
- 43:47I Think Jesus not necessarily Jesus you know only but this is
- 43:55the platform that we are kind of like presenting to them because
- 43:58we know that learning about Jesus life and teaching is
- 44:02greatly helpful for People you know, it helps them kind of
- 44:06sensor himself and learn from what he's done, then they can
- 44:11apply that knowledge to their daily life.
- 44:14Like oh Jesus was nice to his parents or something like that.
- 44:19I'm just gonna I'm just gonna. Yeah, but these like the way
- 44:26Jesus lived his life well kind of help and give inspiration to
- 44:30the younger generation and that's kind of Our Hope.
- 44:33And we have time because he was a rebel.
- 44:35I mean, he was a rebel and his day.
- 44:37Hi, right. So that's a connection point
- 44:40right there. Yeah, he was empowered and he
- 44:43saw even more important to say that he was a hero.
- 44:47And and what we're all, we can do now is paint his arrows Ark.
- 44:54How everything in his development from young, babe, to
- 45:00young child to young adult. We have now.
- 45:03This information and young people, crave Heroes know, we
- 45:08watch Star Trek and Star Wars and Superman, and the Marvel
- 45:11Universe. Why do we like those stories?
- 45:14Because each one of us undergo this Hero Journey on a personal
- 45:19level. And, you know, there were many
- 45:21spiritual prominent spiritual teachers on the planet, but we
- 45:26don't have enough information. I think to show to this level of
- 45:32detail. Life.
- 45:33The personal life of any of them.
- 45:36We don't know enough about Abraham and Moses and the Buddha
- 45:40and, and Muhammad. I just read the other day that
- 45:44there's more information about Jesus in the Quran than about
- 45:47Muhammad. So now, we have a chance to go
- 45:52deeper and in greater resolution into the life of a master, a
- 45:57spiritual teacher. And if we manage in the minds of
- 46:02our audience to disconnect the, the umbilical cord between
- 46:08Christianity and Jesus and say, hey, no, Christianity is cool.
- 46:13If you like that, great, we like that too.
- 46:16But Jesus was before Christianity, would you like to
- 46:19know what he was up to and what was his life?
- 46:23Like and what was the teaching that eventually made more than 2
- 46:29billion people on this planet? Follow him?
- 46:33Isn't that a story? I was born Jewish and I knew
- 46:36nothing about Jesus. Now, I'm going around Israel and
- 46:39I'm telling people, I'm going to build a museum about Jesus and
- 46:42I'm mostly talking to Jewish people in every time.
- 46:45I say those words, the Jesus Museum, the eyebrows go up.
- 46:49Oh my God. All right.
- 46:50That's interesting. I want to go with any.
- 46:53If I speak 30 more seconds, they say.
- 46:55When is it going to open? I want to go.
- 46:58So, Jesus is still attracting people.
- 47:02All around the world. And there's there's at least six
- 47:06billion people on this planet. Who will not Christian that I
- 47:12think will be interested in learning more about this
- 47:15spiritual teacher and how we live this life that our audience
- 47:20is everybody on this planet, right?
- 47:23We cannot do this by our own Force.
- 47:25It's this is not just because it's too complicated.
- 47:30But because that's not the proper way to do something
- 47:33about. Like, this, it has to be an
- 47:36immense teamwork project. And with this is what we're
- 47:40doing with building teams of teams and doing it in a way that
- 47:43is, is the even the journeys is enjoyable, you know, it's not
- 47:48work. What keeps me going?
- 47:50Every morning is this, you know, it's the people that I work with
- 47:54and knowing that for generations to come, we will leave behind
- 47:59us, we you Rancher. Readers who have been given this
- 48:03or adopted this Revelation and and have studied it for a long
- 48:07time. Now, have the opportunity to
- 48:10create a superb Legacy project that will serve generations to
- 48:14come. I think that's what keeps me
- 48:18going. How can people find out more
- 48:20about this Gabriel? So we have a website called
- 48:23Jesus. Metaverse dot o--, r-- g--,
- 48:26Jesus metaverse dot o--. R-- g--, you'll find more
- 48:30Information about us the projects.
- 48:32There's a Blog with monthly status updates.
- 48:35We publish a monthly newsletter, you'll find Opportunities to
- 48:40volunteer with us, and see the positions that are open.
- 48:44So if you draw, if you sign up to our newsletter, we will send
- 48:47you the information. Our team will convene every
- 48:50month and we'll have an open room basically, where you can
- 48:55come and meet us and ask questions.
- 48:57And now we're going to come back also and talk with someone Other
- 49:00people that are part of your team and we'll do that in the
- 49:03next episode and we'll be able to discuss some other aspects of
- 49:08this. This wonderful project.
- 49:10Any particular skill sets, you might be looking for people who
- 49:14might want to get involved. Well, we're definitely looking
- 49:16for more writers we're looking for people, you know, one of the
- 49:21things that you are, you are asking before was, what is, you
- 49:28know, what are people doing? How are they filling in?
- 49:32Some of some of the content of, you know, the Rancher papers on
- 49:38on the life and teachings of Jesus and Gabriel, you know, and
- 49:45Lisa, both describe the whole node aspect of how the data is
- 49:51related. How we're looking at people
- 49:53places events and the relationships among all those
- 49:57things in between them. Well, the That brings it to life
- 50:02is the imagination of students, of the ranch book, who
- 50:06understand these things, who have internalized, these
- 50:08Concepts, who have made these Concepts living in themselves,
- 50:13and who have visualized them frankly in themselves.
- 50:17And when they do this, they have they have a construct inside of
- 50:21them, that if they have the writing ability, they can get
- 50:25out. So if you have that kind of
- 50:27talent, we need that kind of talent.
- 50:30In order to be able to creatively and imaginatively
- 50:35allow, you know, bring basically bring to life.
- 50:39What are these? Seemingly static nodes, but
- 50:46they're not, they're living there.
- 50:48Living nodes relating the events, the people, the places
- 50:53that all surround the life and teachings of Jesus.
- 50:56But wait, there's more to come in our next podcast.
- 50:59Gabriel will introduce us to a team of people who are
- 51:02stitching, the Jesus metaverse together Page by Page.
