Transcript
- 0:01[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome to the Mile High Huddle Podcast with your football freeze, Chad Jensen and Zach Kilmer.
- 0:08[SPEAKER_00]: Remember, Broncos Country is not a geographical location.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_00]: It's a state of being.
- 0:19[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome in everybody.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_00]: It is the Mile High Huddle Podcast.
- 0:23[SPEAKER_00]: I'm your host, Chad Jensen.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_00]: With me, my fellow football priest, you know him, you love him, Zach Calverman, Zach Dude.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_00]: Yesterday, Sunday night, I think a lot of the regulars for whatever reason, you know, they were enjoying their Sunday with their families, probably Zach instead of jumping in the hour long stream.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_00]: We did last night or however long it was, but they might have missed.
- 0:43[SPEAKER_00]: The acube to leave, cryptic hint thing that kind of came out over the weekend.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_00]: Let's just talk, I know we spent some time on yesterday, but first things first, dude, he said that there's another big move could become, and I guess technically as partner there, skip bailis, not partner, but co-host is the one that said, to leave, you keep saying that it's a big move, a blockbuster move.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_00]: I'll believe it when I see it, you know, and he's like, well, don't doubt me skip, and that it could be during the draft.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_00]: How are you feeling about it now?
- 1:10[SPEAKER_00]: A couple days, you know, removed.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_01]: I'm feeling like next Thursday can't get here fast enough, Chad, and I don't mean to be the resident wet blanket like always, but it's like we're speculating on speculation at this point, because like I said yesterday, keep to leave did not even name a specific target.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_01]: I like the fact that he's putting his name on a prediction like he kind of did with Jalen Waddle.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_01]: But even then he didn't name Wattles specifically and all he's saying here is watch out it might happen again.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_01]: And as I said yesterday as well, I don't know if now they're just trying to bank on the credibility aspect or bank on the the publicity aspect of getting the Wattles trade correct.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_00]: It's a consideration that we have to wonder about.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_00]: Let's see what the Papa bear has to say checking in early.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_00]: Great to have you with us, David, hope you're doing well.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_00]: Mount Rushmore Superstar saying good evening.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_00]: Broncos Country hashtag God bless the USA and let's go bow to very appropriate messages this evening.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_00]: Three really right.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_00]: Good evening.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_00]: God bless the USA.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_00]: Let's go both.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you, Papa Bear.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_00]: Great to see you shout out.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_00]: We got Raj in the house.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_00]: The string guy.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_00]: We got M Blacks who as always, he's here to party.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_00]: We got Sam Bam checking in with a generous super chat another Mount Rushmore member here saying hi guys.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_00]: The draft is getting closer.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_00]: I'm more excited for the schedule release.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_00]: since we don't have a first round pick.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_00]: I wonder what to leave's big trade prediction is.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe Miles Garrett for a seventh round pick, LOL, go Broncos.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's one of the bummers about the jail and water trade is in the final analysis or through the fullness of time, no one's going to lose any sleep over it, it won't even be front of brain.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_00]: But between the trade and the drafts act, not having a first round pick, we went through it only a couple of years ago, 2022, 2023, but it does sap some of the joy from the speculation
- 3:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, thank you Sam.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_01]: I know it's stupid, a stupid way to think about it, but the Broncos did make a first round pick and that would be Jalen Waddle.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_01]: So if you look at it that way, it was already a successful draft.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what the big prediction is.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_01]: I am also excited about this schedule release, but right now it seems like we are just inching.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_01]: And I mean that literally inching closer to the draft.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_01]: Like Chad and I talked about yesterday, I cannot remember a more sluggish off season so far.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm looking forward to some of the action.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_00]: It is singularly sluggish.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I've been on the beat since 2012.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_00]: Zach, I've seen some pretty bombastic off-season, the Peyton Manning signing, the 2014 free agent, frenzy, the rust trade off-season, the Sean Peyton hiring trade off-season, and kind of everything in between.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_00]: I've never seen an off-season Zach where the Broncos make exactly two and only two outside moves.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_00]: It's very unique.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_00]: Granted, one of them was a blockbuster trade and a big NFL news right across the fruited plane, but singularly unique off-season for the Broncos.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_00]: I just can't believe that they're basically going to hold tight, hold, hold, stand pat with what they've done plus a draft class.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_00]: Like I do think they will make some additional moves after the draft signings once the Compick formula is out of their hair.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's a good shout, and maybe not Miles Garrett Sandbaum, but maybe his former teammate David Nijoku, who I'm pretty sure is still available, Chad, Cam Jordan, another player who might sign after the draft, like as Chad mentioned when the comp pick formula comes off the table for the Broncos.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_01]: Remember that whole thing though, they were the only team in the NFL that did not acquire an outside player before they traded for a jail in the water.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_01]: You're right in this sense that I can't remember another offseason like that, and every day that is completed is a day I'm happy is behind us.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_00]: It just feels like, and I know it's not this.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_00]: Zack, but it just feels like the ultimate troll.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_00]: Like Sean Payton just laughing his ass off and everybody just trying to figure out.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_00]: What are the fans in the media going to talk about for six months?
- 5:23[SPEAKER_00]: They got nothing to do.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_00]: They were giving them nothing, man.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_00]: Keep them in the dark and feed them you know what, just like a mushroom.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_00]: That's kind of how it feels, even though, obviously, that's not part of the strategy here.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_00]: But Sam, thank you, buddy.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_00]: We got the lady D also checking in off the top rope.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_00]: Appreciate generous super chat.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_00]: All three of these super chats came through before we even clicked Go Live.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_00]: Laint to us you guys are and your family and you know that lady D. Love you She says evening Chad Zach and everyone.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_00]: I'm hoping a key to leave is talking about David in Joku coming to Denver Zach just mentioned it, but I'm excited she says for when the meeting greet gets announced The draft this year for me won't be exciting till I see who we actually pick up Overall, I'm excited for the season to start hashtag m and change for life.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah, oh, yeah, it's gonna be a fun season
- 6:19[SPEAKER_00]: But the meat and greet, I mean, guys, this is one of the reasons this offseason, forget what the Broncos are actually doing.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_00]: But one of the reasons this offseason is going to feel so long is because this is a good team again.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_00]: And so you're just, can't wait for what happens next, you know, and that always just like waiting for Christmas when you were a kid, it would feel so far away and then all of a sudden boom, it's there.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_00]: But nevertheless, Zach, in Joku,
- 6:44[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see he's still out there.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_00]: I did verify it after you mentioned him because we do have to kind of do our daily check in his David and Joku still available turns out he is and as for the meet and greet Once we get the schedule coming out after the draft will pinpoint a weekend and announce it to everybody ASAP
- 7:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, I just want to echo which I was saying there.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much to you.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_01]: And as always, the same familiar words you hear each and every podcast.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_01]: I look forward to conversing with you and your husband again at the meeting.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_01]: And greet if you want to make it out there as well.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_01]: Just want to shake your guys's hand and to tell you how much we appreciate your support.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, I could be a David and Joe could be a cam Jordan.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_01]: I do think like Chad sang, I agree.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_01]: They have another move up their sleeve that we're not really focused on yet.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_01]: We just don't know what or when that will be.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, man, when you come to the meet and greet, no matter where you are in the country or the world, serendipitous things tend to happen, like lady D and her husband, David, basically stumbling into on-field passes that degree game where they got to experience some really cool stuff, aside from seeing all the sites being folks from out of town and whatnot.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_00]: So hopefully,
- 7:58[SPEAKER_00]: we look forward to seeing you both there again in the fall 80d and again as soon as we have the schedule will get quickly will get to an ounce and pick in a date.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_00]: So, love you.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_00]: Let's see what Tucson Phil, what's on your mind tonight.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_00]: Big dog, great to have you.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_00]: One of our key Facebook members and probably Zach, it's Phil, it's George Fox.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_00]: hits the brace girdles, although Ralph is steadily trying to transition to YouTube.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_00]: There's three or four people total, no offense to the hundreds of thousands of people that follow MHH on YouTube, but there's really like three or four people that is the only reason we still are streaming to Facebook.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_00]: Fill your one of them, dude.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know how much longer it's going to last.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_00]: FYI, you've heard me say it before, but that time is coming.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you for being with us tonight, bro.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_00]: He says, would you like to open the season, Zach, plan?
- 8:48[SPEAKER_00]: The Buffalo Bills are the New England Patriots.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_00]: Buck him and my change for life, Broncos for life.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_00]: What say use that?
- 8:54[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I mean, I would rather play the team that's not motivated to beat me.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_01]: So like in the bills case, they're going to be jacked up to avenge the loss of the Broncos and the playoffs in the Broncos case.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to be jacked up to avenge the loss in the AFC title game to New England.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_01]: So if I had a choose filler, I want New England.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_01]: I want Bo versus Drake.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_01]: May I want the proper matchup.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_01]: And I want the Broncos to do what they should have done in January.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_01]: And that's vanquished them.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_00]: Man, how cool would that be?
- 9:20[SPEAKER_00]: to see Bovers' Drake open in the season.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_00]: Boyle Boyle, that would be an awesome matchup.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_00]: And the kind of matchup that the NFL schedule makers would definitely want to make it a prime time showing.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_00]: And so it also is that if it's Bovers' Josh Allen and another rematch, they're basically one and one.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_00]: Right, but this time what would add some intrigue is all the former Bronco coaches now coaching in Buffalo and the fact that it's Joe Brady and X Sean Peyton assistant now the head coach.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_00]: So just some extra juice.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_00]: Either one would be awesome, but I'm was that giving me new England.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_00]: Give me that 2024 first round quarterback matchup that we were hoping for in January, but we also have the Duchess Michaela Parker.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_00]: Making her entrance with a plumb, Mount Rushmore dear friend, we love you, Michaela.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_00]: She says, I wish we had a more reliable running back.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_00]: because J.K. Dobbins will get hurt.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_00]: Question is when, not it, right?
- 10:23[SPEAKER_00]: What she's saying.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_00]: And hoping the meet and greet would be against the dolphins.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_00]: So I can bring my brother, since he is a dolphins fan.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_00]: I hope we get the next great Broncos running back.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_00]: Interesting.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_00]: Well, we'll keep that in mind.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_00]: Michaela, we'll see where the schedule makers end to put in that matchup.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, Zach, your thoughts?
- 10:42[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, she's hoping for the next great Broncos running back.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_00]: hazard doubts that that is JK Dobbins or RJ Harvey in the case of Dobbins because of the injuries.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_00]: Then you got the rumors.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_00]: It's not even rumors.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_00]: You said it best earlier in this episode's act.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_00]: Speculating about speculation, tying a Devon HN to the Broncos, which it's not really a tie.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_00]: A tie is when
- 11:08[SPEAKER_00]: a reporter, you know, makes a claim like an even if they're using an anonymous source.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_00]: You know, this team could be interested in the Broncos.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_00]: I'm told per source.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_00]: Whatever, that's an official link.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_00]: Well, we're talking about what exists out there on the internet Zach is people going, you know, who would be a great fit for a channel if the dolphins trade them, the Broncos, just some dude from a keyboard, regardless of what, you know, publication they're from.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_00]: That's all it is.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_01]: I think people are just bored right now.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_01]: Again, between free agency and the draft, there is a big, low period and people have nothing better to do.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_01]: I just think it's funny and kind of ironic that, I'm not talking about humankind, but other Broncos fans, they want to replace JK Dobbins, a injury prone running back with Devon HN and injury prone running back, you might run into the same scenario.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_01]: So I agree with you.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_01]: I think the Broncos are not donut running back because you cannot depend on JK.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_01]: He's a top five guy, top 10 guy at Worst when he's healthy.
- 12:04[SPEAKER_01]: So whether you want to draft Mike Washington, or whether you can draft Mike Washington, Judarian Price, Jonah Coleman, some of these other players, I think the Broncos are going to look to upgrade that unit as a whole.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_00]: When it comes to a channel, look.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_00]: Zach, a friend of ours that covers the dolphins on SI, Alan Poupart.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_00]: He's, you know, he's like the, he's like a mic class of the Miami dolphins, breaks a lot of stuff.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_00]: Insider, he says a chance that is going to get somewhere between on his next contract.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_00]: He's in line for somewhere between 11.5 million and like 14.5 million, basically top end running back market money right now.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_00]: So, if the Broncos, I'm just letting you guys know here, guys, if the Broncos were even interested to call up that GM, Sullivan, whatever I think his name is.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, HN, let's talk.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_00]: Whatever the compensation might be to get him, right?
- 13:03[SPEAKER_00]: Like he's a pro baller last year, 1350 yard russia.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_00]: You're going to give up what your second round pick this year, so you're not
- 13:11[SPEAKER_00]: They're probably not going to want picks next year.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_00]: They want whatever you got this year, which probably won't be enough to get them.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_00]: But even if it were Zach, you're given that up.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_00]: And then you're going to have to come up with somewhere between 11 and 14 million.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_00]: Like it doesn't make sense for where the Broncos are, especially in light of the reports, Zach, that we learned, well, as of last week, that they were interested in signing both Dobbins and Travis at TN who apparently pronounces his name, HN as well.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_00]: But that's neither here nor there.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_00]: and tell the price for at the end.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_00]: I'm still going to call him at the end, especially here so we can separate the two.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_00]: God up to 14 million, they said, ah, not we're good.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_00]: Re-sign JK Dobbins, go about their business.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_01]: And I understand that Dobbins contract is basically a one-year deal, but it showed that the Broncos have a little more than just a 2026 vision forum in mindshad.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_01]: It kind of gives them flexibility where if he stays healthy and produces like he did last season, he could return as the starter in 2027 as well.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_01]: or not, but what's the easier move here, doing what you said, giving up a premium capital for running back and then paying that running back, or just drafting a running back who can maybe become the next HN.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_01]: We're not talking about it, Derek Henry.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_01]: We're not talking about a future hall of fame.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_01]: We're talking about a player that is replaceable if you find the right guy, the right incoming prospect, and if they just have some conviction like I mentioned in Washington or Coleman or someone like that, it's a much cheaper and much more pragmatic round to go, my
- 14:33[SPEAKER_00]: which by the way, H and himself was a third round pick in 2023.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, you can find
- 14:40[SPEAKER_00]: very good running backs, not in the first round and not in the second round.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_00]: So keep that in mind guys.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_00]: But listen, listen up, we got a lot more to get to tonight.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_00]: Believe that.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_00]: But I want to take you back to when we first real quick guys started the MHH merch store.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_00]: That was in 2019.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_00]: And we weren't sure whether it was the right decision.

- 16:26[SPEAKER_00]: All right, back to the chat.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_00]: I want to grab this from Michaela before we get George Michaela jumping in again.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_00]: Love you.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_00]: She says not sure about Arkansas running back Mike Washington Jr. because he has fumbling issues.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_00]: Zach, which is absolutely true.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes they can be minimized and kind of worked out.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_00]: at the NFL level, but as Eric trickle often writes about in his scouting reports finding Broncos, if a guy's a fumbler in college he's probably going to be a fumbler in the NFL.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but even fumblers in the NFL get second, third, fourth, fifth opportunities.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_01]: Look at Melvin Gordon, for example, Michaela, I'm not going to tell you what prospect alike, what prospect not to like.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_01]: I believe we talked about this a few pods ago.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_01]: That's a coachable, correctable issue from where I stand, Chad.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, like Tiki Barber went through that famously and also players that you sometimes just have to accept it.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_01]: He might put the ball in the ground once every, you know, once in a while.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_01]: But the pros of him taking it to the end zone from any point on the field, I just think that someone like LaShan McCoy, who famously had fumble issues as well.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_01]: You put up with that because he was so explosive.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_01]: If Washington can be something like that for the Broncos, I'll live with the fact that he's not, you know, he holds like a loaf of bread.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_01]: Even though, again, you can coach that out of him.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's a concern, no doubt.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_00]: Michaela, is it a concern that makes him undraftable, no way, not in my opinion, especially after watching him for three days at the senior bull, Zach, and then seeing what he did at the combine.
- 17:56[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he does have some concerns, all these prospects have a concerns.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_00]: You know, you got the pros, you got the cons, and there is no perfect prospect.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_00]: And one of the concerns I have about Washington beyond the fumbling could thing is that, you know, he ran a 433 or whatever it was at the Combine Zach and he showed such explosive testing.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_00]: But where is that in his actual game?
- 18:18[SPEAKER_00]: Like when you turn on the tape, you don't see it translate as often and I have to wonder why that is.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_00]: But I still think he would be a Michaela phenomenal option to bring in to Denver as the
- 18:33[SPEAKER_00]: Iterated earlier on your other super chat when he gets injured, someone who can step in and carry the first and second down, load, so to speak, which allows RJ Harvey Zac to stay in his specialized hyper-successful role as that Joker third down running back guy.
- 18:48[SPEAKER_01]: That's also the thing as well is the Broncos aren't like a lot of NFL teams that employ a bell cow or two running backs in a rotation at most like Atlanta had B. John and Tyler else year there was really wasn't a third running back that was ever really relevant.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_01]: So you'd be putting him in a committee Washington he did have JK do up and forever long.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_01]: He's healthy.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_01]: than you have RJ Harvey.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_01]: I'm assuming the Broncos want to keep either biday or McLaughlin around as well so you can minimize and hide Washington's perceived issues because he won't be expected to be the RB1 at least right away.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_00]: great point.
- 19:22[SPEAKER_00]: Rock shout out buddy.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_00]: Good to see you.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you for reminding everybody.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_00]: Hit the thumbs up and subscribe.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_00]: Becoming a member on YouTube.
- 19:29[SPEAKER_00]: Dude, it's so awesome.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you for taking ownership right alongside us, Ron, can help into seeing the song as a word buddy.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you bud.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_00]: It's good to see you.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_00]: A George Fox checking in from Facebook.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_00]: He says, I want to thank you because I'm old.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_00]: Well, guess what, George?
- 19:45[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not too far behind you, my dog.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not sure exactly how old you are, but I'm no spring chick in myself.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_00]: It says, it's easier for me to use Facebook.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_00]: I understand, especially folks, Zach of a certain age bracket will just say, it is much easier to use and understand, but I'll tell you what, George, if and when the time comes, when we shut off the live streams for Facebook,
- 20:10[SPEAKER_00]: We will be here to help you transition and make sure you understand exactly how to do it and when that time comes you will then realize oh my gosh, it's actually way easier to not only watch these podcasts live on YouTube but participate as well.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_00]: So thumbs up right back at you big dog.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you for the support and don't worry for now.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_00]: Don't worry about it right now.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_00]: The dog Zach we some other hello's here.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_00]: I want to I want to shout out.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_00]: By the way, M. Blacks is saying, give me the easy win.
- 20:38[SPEAKER_00]: New England it is as far as who do you want to see week one.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_00]: How would you feel about that Zach, you know, twenty twenty five is in the books.
- 20:45[SPEAKER_00]: How would you feel about the prospect the Broncos prospects going head to head full strength Broncos versus a full strength Patriots to kick off the regular season.
- 20:53[SPEAKER_00]: Or at any point in the regular season.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_01]: That Super Bowl losers curse is a real thing I've I've really believed in that and I think at least for the Patriots case They really reached their pinnacle at least in the short term that was their chance and you know what you could say the same about the Broncos if you're a critic But for my opinion that was the Patriots chance.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know this season Whether they're gonna get back to that point reach those heights again.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_01]: They're gonna be that good There's already that scandal with my variable and dot Diana Rucini Chad
- 21:24[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if they can get it hold it together and maintain that sort of elite team they put together on the field last year.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I don't know about it in the easy win, but I think with Bow playing Drake may we'll see what the end result in January should have been.
- 21:38[SPEAKER_00]: It's becoming a pretty significant distraction, the recini thing for the Patriots Zack, but we don't know how much longer.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_00]: What kind of lags I guess this story is gonna have?
- 21:50[SPEAKER_00]: It's still pretty prominent right now.
- 21:52[SPEAKER_00]: People are still talking a lot about it on social media, prominent people, but you're I do.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_00]: You wonder how this could impact the glue of the organization and look, the Patriots,
- 22:06[SPEAKER_00]: Superbowl losers curse or I think there's a fair argument to be made that they kind of the stars just aligned for them last year and they got lucky in a lot of ways Yeah, they were good.
- 22:17[SPEAKER_00]: They won the games that were put in front of them, but Zach
- 22:20[SPEAKER_00]: This was not the same schedule the Broncos face like there was a post today that showed the team's records last year against opponents that were ended up in the playoffs.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_00]: The Broncos were five and two against such opponents.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_00]: By the way, the chiefs were on eight against any opponent ended up in the playoffs.
- 22:37[SPEAKER_00]: last year, but I digress here.
- 22:39[SPEAKER_00]: The Patriots act that at Cakewalk.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_00]: And I think they started to get, they would have been exposed in that AFC title game if Bow would have been healthy.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_00]: They ended up getting exposed in the Super Bowl.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that exposure is going to trickle in to 26.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_00]: You're going to see them take a pretty hefty step back in my opinion.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_01]: They were almost exposed in the title game.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it was a 10-7 final.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_01]: Jared Stittham had a long completion that set up a touchdown.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_01]: If he did not have that fumble chat and the Broncos were a little better on offense, then what I want that game with, they're back up quarterback.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I think it's gonna be a very nice revenge game quote unquote for the Broncos.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_00]: Well, lady, did you help him back?
- 23:16[SPEAKER_00]: You can make her do it.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_00]: And a hippity top, wow, much love and respect.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_00]: You're getting the, you're getting the chrome dome.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_00]: Hats off to you, lady, do you love you so much?
- 23:25[SPEAKER_00]: And she's jumping in again.
- 23:26[SPEAKER_00]: The very generous super chat to say, I agree, Michaela, for the meet and greet to be the Dolphins game, since my husband David is a Dolphins fan.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_00]: I want to running back, but not an injured one.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_00]: Get someone healthy.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_00]: A camp will leave last year.
- 23:41[SPEAKER_00]: I got to shake hands with Peyton Manning.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_00]: one of the results of her getting that pregame on field pasted so cool.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_00]: She said, well, so amazing.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_00]: I want to see what boat does this season.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think I realized, Diana, the David was not a Broncos fan, let alone a Dolphins fan.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_00]: So very interesting, we'll see where it falls in the schedule.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_00]: If it's early in the year, it shouldn't be too big of a problem.
- 24:06[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see if it's later in the year, you know, Zac, if they put it in December, we try to schedule them earlier in the year.
- 24:13[SPEAKER_00]: The meet and greet so that we can expect as best weather as possible.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_00]: So keep that in mind.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, I'm just surprised Dolphins fans actually exist because I haven't come across many in my lifetime But on the real, David is one of the coolest and nicest individuals I've come across in recent memory and in my life anyway, Deanna So I appreciate both of you.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much And I look forward to seeing you out there this fall
- 24:39[SPEAKER_00]: By the way, my best friend growing up, shout out to Los.
- 24:43[SPEAKER_00]: I was a Broncos fan, so he was a Dolphins fan.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_00]: So when we'd be out in the street throwing the football, making believe, I was always John L. way, he was always Dan Marino.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_00]: They exist Dolphins fans.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_00]: You don't see him as often Zach in the West.
- 24:58[SPEAKER_00]: But they exist, and Dan Marino did create a lot of Dolphins fans back in the day, but the Marino days are well behind in the book.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I spent a lot of time in South Florida when I could tell you, it's a very least chat that the most fair weather fan base I've ever seen in my life.
- 25:16[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe we can agree on that.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_00]: And look, this is where Broncos are very fortunate in Broncos country.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_00]: It's not just fans favorite team.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, Broncos football is about as close to a religion as you can get without it actually being a religion.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_00]: And Zach, not all the, not all teams benefit from that rabbit and faithful a fanbase I suppose.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_00]: That's true.
- 25:43[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that sucks.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_01]: That's why the Broncos are kind of above.
- 25:46[SPEAKER_01]: That's why when I tell y'all, you're the best fans on the face of the planet.
- 25:50[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not exaggerating.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_01]: I mean that.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_01]: You guys really aren't.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_00]: And by the way, you know, hopefully you guys got a picture with with Peyton Manning because what a moment that must have been really cool.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you, lady D. Cornbreademus wants to know if we spend any time.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you for the super chat buddy checking into Jackson Acre.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_00]: I want to say that's who he was asking us about Zach on last Thursday night show.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I have not, I'm not going to lie.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_00]: I haven't spent time on it yet, but I promised you that I would and here I am again telling you that I will.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_00]: So what's today's Monday?
- 26:23[SPEAKER_00]: So here you go.
- 26:25[SPEAKER_00]: Tell you what cornbread must all spend some time between tonight's show and Wednesday night's show.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_00]: Looking into Jackson, Acre and I'll talk to Eric and Nick about him and get their thoughts and I'll have a real take for you on Jackson, Acre when next I'm on this microphone.
- 26:42[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Scott gave us a little quick scouting report on Hacker.
- 26:45[SPEAKER_01]: He's a Wisconsin H back played in 12 games, 6-1, 247, three starts at full back.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_01]: He finished the year with 55 rushing yards.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_01]: He had eight catches for 60, 60 yards and a touchdown.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_01]: So basically like a Michael Burton clone or like a Nate Adkins clone, someone like that, I know you're that you're chilling pretty hard for Hacker, but I presume he wouldn't be more than just a late round option or maybe an undrafted option.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm thinking from what little I know about him undrafted, but definitely a guy teams are going to have interest in because of some of his traits as a priority for agents.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_00]: So, Cormbratomus trust, we'll come back to you on Acre Wednesday night, I'll check him out.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_00]: Clayton, what's up, dude, shout out, become an official YouTube member.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_00]: A long time Facebook supporter.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_00]: So he's here in the call and he's answering the bell saying, All right, you're saying YouTube.
- 27:42[SPEAKER_00]: I'm on my way here.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_00]: I am.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you for becoming a member big dog.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_00]: Great to have you in the full.
- 27:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much, Clayton.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_00]: We got McKayla jumping back
- 27:58[SPEAKER_00]: Mount Rushmore for a reason.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_00]: Michalus says, my brother was in South Florida.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_00]: That's why he's the Dolphins fan.
- 28:06[SPEAKER_00]: I'm my bring him along any house.
- 28:07[SPEAKER_00]: Since my husband works on Sundays, you totally should bring him.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_00]: Regardless of if it ends up being the Dolphins gamer not, we fund a meet him and hang out.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, find a way into the game as we always tend to figure out, right?
- 28:21[SPEAKER_00]: At the game, so definitely bring him, it'd be awesome to meet a Michalus.
- 28:25[SPEAKER_01]: It's not like we cast a gate non-Brocco's fans.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_01]: It's one giant party, we got food, we got drinks, we got fun.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_01]: It's really a good time.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I concur with Chad McKay live.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_01]: If he can come bring him out there, that'd be super fun.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_01]: And thank you again.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_00]: On the, on the, and by the way, dolphins, you know, my stepmother is also, she's kind of a fan of several team, so it's hard to say that like it's her team in the way Zack that most people in this room right now would say to Broncos are there team she likes the Cowboys, she likes the Broncos, but she also like the dolphins of the,
- 29:00[SPEAKER_00]: marino eras so you know it's not as unusual it's cool and as she says always from south florida that's why so hopefully we get a chance to meet him that would be super sick make a love you uh zack uh
- 29:14[SPEAKER_01]: What is Todd talking about here's Zachary for getting stupid chargers fan man Chad after you left last night all hell Bro, please I'm not gonna happen.
- 29:22[SPEAKER_01]: Not that crazy, but like I was engaging with someone in the crowd or you know The comments section that I didn't really recognize and I was giving him a full throw to answer a genuine answer And then he I come to find out that he's a chargers fan So I went on about a five or ten minute ran on him and kind of put him in his place and it was a good time had by all
- 29:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you got to come correct.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_00]: If you're going to come after Zach, whether it's a solo pod or not, you got to come correct and he promised me, you know, in this territory, man, don't come being a charges fan around here talking about that Sean Payton has no accountability.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_01]: This respecting Sean Payton and the Broncos when you're a charge fan.
- 30:01[SPEAKER_01]: It's, it's, it's the height of irony to me.
- 30:03[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, it's not, not coincidental, Chad.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_01]: I don't see him around here today.
- 30:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 30:09[SPEAKER_00]: Todd, good to see you tonight.
- 30:11[SPEAKER_00]: Another dear member of speaking of awesome folks.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_00]: We got the Mile High Dutchy Albert Knoppers in the House.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_00]: And yes, indeed he wants to know wasn't the bowling ball, CJ Anderson and Undrafted Running Back.
- 30:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, he was undrafted out of Cal, 20th.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_00]: 13 and then of course by halfway through is rookie year if or was it it's 14 I got now I'm not sure but I missed the CJ Anderson days Zach he was awesome for the short amount of time that he spent with the Broncos But yeah 2013 that's right and then he left after the 2017 season signed with Carolina
- 30:48[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's a high school head coach now or something like that or he was so good for CJ Anderson.
- 30:53[SPEAKER_01]: There's been a lot of good undrafted running backs or you know, late around running backs.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_01]: Philip Lindsey, for example, undrafted.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, the Broncos, what we've been saying Chad for weeks and weeks now, they're not pigeonholed into drafting a running back at 62.
- 31:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's right.
- 31:07[SPEAKER_00]: That's true.
- 31:08[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm I'm looking here at CJ's resume.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm reminded that his second year, you know, he spent 2013 a little bit of time on the active roster five games, but mostly he was a practice squad guy.
- 31:20[SPEAKER_00]: And then 2014 his second year is when he really got a bigger bite at the apple.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_00]: Second biggest season in terms of yardage and production yet 850 rushing yards at eight touchdowns plus 324 receiving yards and two more touchdowns.
- 31:36[UNKNOWN]: So
- 31:36[SPEAKER_00]: Even as a second year player's act, he clipsing a thousand yards from scrimmage and double digit total touchdowns.
- 31:43[SPEAKER_00]: That's pretty awesome.
- 31:43[SPEAKER_00]: And then of course, his one and only thousand yard season came in his final year with the Broncos in 2017.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_00]: So, and obviously he was a big part of the Super Bowl 50 offense.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_00]: It being kind of as limited as it was.
- 31:58[SPEAKER_00]: Thank goodness for him.
- 31:59[SPEAKER_00]: Thank goodness for D.T.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_00]: Emanuel Sanders and Ronnie Hillman.
- 32:04[SPEAKER_01]: It's such an amazing tight-knit squad, you know, CJ's never going to get the hype of a Hall of Famer, but he was such a likable and easy player to root for, so all the best to him.
- 32:14[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_00]: Good to see storm blast.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_00]: What's up, dude?
- 32:18[SPEAKER_00]: Made it to lunch break, sipping on a red bowl.
- 32:20[SPEAKER_00]: Cheers, right back at your brother.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_00]: Enjoy your break.
- 32:23[SPEAKER_00]: And he also says, listen, I feel like you can coach the fumbling issues.
- 32:28[SPEAKER_00]: Make he do the Tiki barber head carry if necessary.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_00]: It's not impossible.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_00]: No, it's not.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_00]: It's just that there are plenty.
- 32:36[SPEAKER_00]: There are multiple
- 32:43[SPEAKER_00]: that improve upon it, maybe they don't as a running back, you're never going to completely eliminate it as a risk.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_00]: Although Philip Lindsay, he sure has had, didn't like the fumble, right?
- 32:53[SPEAKER_00]: But my point here is you can minimize it in some cases, but I tend to agree with Eric's general point that when it's a trend in college, it often follows in the pros.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_00]: There are always exceptions those act, but they end up proving the rule.
- 33:09[SPEAKER_01]: Well, let's say he fumbles and I don't know this.
- 33:12[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just throwing a number out there.
- 33:13[SPEAKER_01]: Let's say he fumbles one and every 200 touches.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_01]: That's different when he's getting 20 touches the game versus getting five or eight touches a game because again, he's going to be in a committee.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_01]: He's not going to be getting 30 carries a game.
- 33:26[SPEAKER_01]: He's not going to be the undisputed RB one.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to be in a committee and I don't care like you said if he's holding the ball up there like Tiki, what he brings to the table, there is way more good than bad.
- 33:37[SPEAKER_00]: and blacks.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_00]: The Saints should trade for HN just to confuse everyone because in his introductory press conference as a New Orleans Saint, the player we all know and refer to as Travis at the end informed everybody that you pronounce his name, HN.
- 33:53[SPEAKER_00]: So if you have two HNs that but they're spelled differently, kind of like Peyton and Peyton, I guess, right?
- 33:58[SPEAKER_00]: Different, but similar.
- 34:01[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I had a player tell us Chad that his last name is, is, is, is sounds like the day.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, literally, it's, it's, it's bad.
- 34:08[SPEAKER_01]: And what are we talking about here, the day?
- 34:10[SPEAKER_01]: It's crazy now with the pronunciations.
- 34:12[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but didn't, didn't, but day also eventually come out and say, it's not that that's how it's pronounced and, you know, I'm trying to correct the record.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_00]: He just decided he wanted to pronounce it that way.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_00]: I always pronounced it bady.
- 34:24[SPEAKER_00]: Tyler bady.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_00]: I thought that's how it was.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_00]: I think almost anybody who sees b ad i e would pronounce it bady.
- 34:31[SPEAKER_00]: But he decided, no, I'm going to throw everybody curveball.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to go with but day.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_00]: Which, all right, Chase, good to see you pal.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_00]: they'll draft someone for sure, you know, we had both Michaela and the lady D talking about Broncos needing to get another running back.
- 34:48[SPEAKER_00]: He saying they'll draft someone for sure.
- 34:50[SPEAKER_00]: We didn't have a running back one or two at this time last year.
- 34:54[SPEAKER_00]: Now we do so they can focus on depth.
- 34:56[SPEAKER_00]: That's an excellent point, Chase, and it's also a point Zach that George Peyton brought up
- 35:06[SPEAKER_00]: hey, we got time to kind of flush things out here, et cetera.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, guys, take heart be encouraged.
- 35:14[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to have at least one more running back for this room.
- 35:18[SPEAKER_01]: That's the good thing, though, Chase, you're not wrong, but they can do this at every position after acquiring Jalen Waterland filling that knee.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_01]: They don't really have any pressing urgent matters to take care of where they have to reach or they have to draft for need.
- 35:31[SPEAKER_01]: And that's, you know, so dreaded for an NFL organization to do.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_01]: So that's what I'm just saying.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_01]: If a running back presents himself that they like if Washington is there or within the range of a possible trade up, then take them great.
- 35:42[SPEAKER_01]: If not, then move on to a tight end or move on to a lineback, move on to an offensive or defensive lineman.
- 35:47[SPEAKER_01]: None of those are urgent, although they're all nice to have.
- 35:50[SPEAKER_01]: That's the beauty of where the Broncos put themselves.
- 35:53[SPEAKER_00]: excellent point Patrick what's this a new handle a low-hot back at your bro great to see a copy uh... let's give iris and love on facebook she's she's become a very consistent
- 36:05[SPEAKER_00]: viewer on Facebook, Zach, and very active in our live chat.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_00]: So let's give her some love.
- 36:09[SPEAKER_00]: Here, Iris says, what about the kid with the last name price, the running back?
- 36:14[SPEAKER_00]: So that is, of course, Notre Dame's Jadarian price, widely perceived as the second best running back in this class behind only his fellow Notre Dame, backfield, made Jeremiah love.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_00]: What do you what do you make of Jeremiah or a Jadarian price that?
- 36:31[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I give you a lot of credit Chad because you were kind of on that train with price to the Broncos before anyone else that I really hurt or saw.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't know that he's going to fall to Denver.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_01]: I think he goes well before I ultimately think, Ira, it's a lot like the travy on Henderson situation where he would be an amazing fit in Denver and a lot of fans want him.
- 36:51[SPEAKER_01]: But ultimately, unless they move up, they're not going to be able to get him.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_01]: I would run the draft card up.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_01]: I just don't think it's very realistic.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_00]: So I've done.
- 37:01[SPEAKER_00]: By the way guys, you know, the days of just out of boredom or entertainment doing mock draft simulations like I haven't done that since like, I don't know, 10 years if I do a mock draft simulation it's specifically for content it's specifically for an article and I've done three this season two will call them a three round, but it was a four round right to get to the so the Broncos had three picks in the.
- 37:27[SPEAKER_00]: So I did two three round drafts and I did a seven round or by the way, Zach dropped a three round mock draft today.
- 37:34[SPEAKER_00]: You guys got to check that out my point here, though, is in two of the three mocks Jadarian price was there Zach at 62 I don't think he will be in real life.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_00]: I think if the Broncos want him, they'll have to trade up now this could go back to
- 37:52[SPEAKER_00]: What I keep to leave said over the weekend on the arena grid iron where it's another bigger move implication, although it's not said the implication is offensive playmaker and it could be hey we're sitting at 62 and we're keeping our eye on jitterian price and if we think we can kind of get within striking distance we'll trade up and get him.
- 38:12[SPEAKER_00]: It's possible.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_01]: Those are the key words there, at least in my opinion, those striking distance.
- 38:17[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know that price is worthy of jumping up to the beginning of the second round, for example, when you gave Dobbins a two year deal, you used a second round pick last year on RJ Harvey, you brought back Bade and McLaughlin.
- 38:30[SPEAKER_01]: It'd be nice if he fell into your lap, it'd be nice if he fell to like 57 or 58 in that range, but I'm not gonna overextend to get generic in price.
- 38:37[SPEAKER_01]: If we can't get him fine, move on, maybe Mike Washington falls, if not, there's other options in round two
- 38:43[SPEAKER_01]: Just as well.
- 38:45[SPEAKER_01]: Lady D jumping in again.
- 38:47[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you so much, Diana.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_00]: And tell David what's up, by the way.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_00]: She says, FYI, David's always been a dolphin's fan.
- 38:54[SPEAKER_00]: For 20 plus years, he's told me they're rebuilding.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_00]: Tell girls, however, he still supports the Broncos for me when we play all of a sudden, it just hit me.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_00]: The memory now.
- 39:09[SPEAKER_00]: I do remember him telling me this about the dolphins thing.
- 39:13[SPEAKER_00]: when uh... i met up with with mcala
- 39:16[SPEAKER_00]: Her husband's Steve, lady D, her husband David before the last meeting.
- 39:21[SPEAKER_00]: I do remember him now saying that at the dinner table.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_00]: So all of a sudden that just came flooding back.
- 39:26[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, she says, however, he still supports the Broncos for me when we play just another reason he's so great.
- 39:32[SPEAKER_00]: Plus he enjoys you guys.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_00]: Emotions for life.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_00]: Well, God bless David and his long suffering, putting up with MHH and our daily
- 39:44[SPEAKER_00]: Speculation on speculation and all things Broncos, God bless.
- 39:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's crazy when you look back and watch Marino's film and everything the fact he never won a ring.
- 39:53[SPEAKER_01]: He's definitely a top 10 quarterback of all time and some of the throws he made his arm shrink.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_01]: It really wasn't credible.
- 39:59[SPEAKER_01]: I grew up really not liking the dolphins on a personal level, but I'll give Marino that and I will say about your husband, Diana, David, he's again, he's one of the kindest, most soft, spoken, humble individuals I've come across recently and I really enjoyed my time at the meet and greet.
- 40:14[SPEAKER_01]: I look forward to meeting you both again out there this fall.
- 40:17[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much for your support as always.
- 40:19[SPEAKER_00]: No doubt about it.
- 40:20[SPEAKER_00]: Amen.
- 40:21[SPEAKER_00]: Amen.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, he's he's one of those quarterbacks in the hall fame with the missing rings, right?
- 40:26[SPEAKER_00]: Like him, Jim Kel marino, Jim Kelly, Tarkington, Tarkington in the Hall, isn't he?
- 40:34[SPEAKER_00]: Scott, Tarleton's in the hall, right?
- 40:37[SPEAKER_00]: I don't need to Google that.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_00]: I'll don't know why I'm doubting myself.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_00]: Warren Moon, who else, Zach?
- 40:43[SPEAKER_00]: Who are some of the other missing reading quarterbacks in the hall of fame?
- 40:51[SPEAKER_00]: Matt Ryan.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_00]: One of these days, one of these days, we'll see, we'll see if Maddie ice gets there.
- 40:59[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, lady D, much love to you, give our best to David, guaranteed checking in.
- 41:05[SPEAKER_00]: What's up, dude?
- 41:07[SPEAKER_00]: Good, he says, good evening, men.
- 41:08[SPEAKER_00]: Here, anything on Caleb Loaners development, God bless you, both.
- 41:12[SPEAKER_00]: Right back at you, my fellow bald, guaranteed fellow.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_00]: Here's what I guarantee you, Caleb Loaner.
- 41:19[SPEAKER_00]: is probably, I'm trying to make a joke, but I'm not going to guarantee that he's not going to work out.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_00]: But Zach, I will say this.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_00]: My hopes of him becoming something, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the recency bias slash excitement of the draft pick and everything Sean Peyton said about him after the draft last year has dimmed.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_00]: And then it's also been reframed through the prism of he didn't make the roster.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't play it all as a rookie.
- 41:50[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, man, if he ends up doing anything, it's going to be a bonus, but we haven't really heard anything, you know, we, and we probably won't expect to use that till June at the soon as, but even then, it's not like they're going to be hitting or doing anything to super physical on the field, so it's probably July at the soon as to actually guarantee that we're going to start getting a little buzz on whether he started picking up some of the concepts that we're obviously so alien to him last summer, especially blocking.
- 42:17[SPEAKER_01]: This is a tragic example of when hype meets reality.
- 42:21[SPEAKER_01]: The hype about loner was that he could be the next Jimmy Graham under Sean Peyton or Antonio Gates or a player like that who converted to playing football and has the big body and the length and this and that the reality is he's
- 42:33[SPEAKER_01]: very, very, very much a project.
- 42:36[SPEAKER_01]: He's very raw.
- 42:37[SPEAKER_01]: He had four career catches in college.
- 42:40[SPEAKER_01]: I understand they all went for touchdowns, but there's a major difference in playing college ball and playing NFL and transitioning from one to the other.
- 42:48[SPEAKER_01]: The Broncos should know that first-hand chef with all the tight end disasters they've had in the past, all such, but highermen.
- 42:52[SPEAKER_01]: I've said this before guaranteed.
- 42:53[SPEAKER_01]: I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm,
- 42:57[SPEAKER_01]: not really holding my breath anything they get out of Caleb loaner in 2026 will be a bonus just don't expect it.
- 43:07[SPEAKER_00]: Well said, well said, Garen, good to see you, buddy.
- 43:10[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you for the support.
- 43:12[SPEAKER_00]: It means the world to us.
- 43:13[SPEAKER_00]: You know this big dog.
- 43:15[SPEAKER_00]: Shout out bigger and another one of our Facebookers, religious viewer and comment around Facebook, good to see you, brother.
- 43:22[SPEAKER_00]: Broncos Country only, we're right there with you.
- 43:26[SPEAKER_00]: Chase says, if they don't get a guy, tell day three or a veteran post draft, that's probably still an improvement over,
- 43:38[SPEAKER_00]: definitely.
- 43:41[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, Chase, I take you over but day and I'm not really exaggerating because I feel like every time he was asked to do something, the play resulted in a net negative.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_01]: They could do so much better for RB 3 RB 4 than Tyler Freakin-Baday.
- 43:56[SPEAKER_01]: He's like the Adam Troutman of running backstead.
- 43:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I do remember those act in 2024 when he finally was going to get his chance to be the guy.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_00]: We were up by that point.
- 44:08[SPEAKER_00]: Zach everyone was pining for him, right?
- 44:10[SPEAKER_00]: Because Javante, just it was the three yards in a cloud of dust.
- 44:15[SPEAKER_00]: I'm so happy for his success in Dallas and he got another big contract.
- 44:18[SPEAKER_00]: I'm super stoked for him, but
- 44:20[SPEAKER_00]: Beyond his rookie year after the injury in Denver, Javante was three yards in a cloud of dust running into the back of blockers, like that was Javante.
- 44:29[SPEAKER_00]: So you got to whatever that was, Zach week.
- 44:32[SPEAKER_00]: three or three week three, they go on the road, Bonax is rookie year.
- 44:37[SPEAKER_00]: They beat the bucks, which was the first official Bonax victory of his career.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_00]: Then he gets some snaps, some touches I should say.
- 44:47[SPEAKER_00]: But day in that game, and he made some hay and we're like, all right, we got a guy, he's got some pop to him, some explosiveness, and then he suffered that scary back injury the very next week in New York,
- 45:02[SPEAKER_00]: that whole dream of Badeby and a thing kind of died.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_00]: Even though they've kept them around, and obviously they prioritized them last year as the third back, specifically as like a third down guy, he just, they can do better.
- 45:14[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, what you said was kind of best.
- 45:16[SPEAKER_01]: It's a recent sea bias.
- 45:18[SPEAKER_01]: We've been starving for explosion and running back for so long that we had a little scant taste of it and we wanted more in reality in retrospect, even compared to a player like RJ Harvey,
- 45:29[SPEAKER_01]: we could be aiming so much higher and we should than Tyler Badeh.
- 45:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 45:34[SPEAKER_00]: As our buddy Stormbless says, you'd have to trade up if you want your dairy and price.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe that's what they do, who knows at this point.
- 45:42[SPEAKER_00]: And that's what I'm saying.
- 45:43[SPEAKER_00]: If you have your heart set on price, I'm telling you organically Zack, he will not be on the board at 62.
- 45:53[SPEAKER_00]: You're going to have to trade.
- 45:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and again, I mean, this is my opinion and anyone can feel free to disagree, but if he gets to like 57, 58, and you really want him fine, but I'm not moving up to 35 for example, for Jadarian press.
- 46:08[SPEAKER_00]: By the way, M. Blacks at 6.48, yeah, I'm sure but they knew I got to believe that, but they knew what an actual but day was, which by the way, if you get one,
- 46:20[SPEAKER_00]: men out there.
- 46:21[SPEAKER_00]: I'm telling you can change your life.
- 46:23[SPEAKER_00]: I'm a believer.
- 46:25[SPEAKER_00]: By the way, Clayton good to see you again, brother, saying guys, pick a guy to double.
- 46:30[SPEAKER_00]: Truly guys, pick a guy to double one of our receivers and then just go the other way.
- 46:36[SPEAKER_00]: Mims, Jalen, water, Franklin down the middle.
- 46:39[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely, guys.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's one of the obvious upsidesack of getting a
- 46:46[SPEAKER_00]: Another code number one receiver by jail and water is you can't defenses have to pick their poison.
- 46:54[SPEAKER_00]: You can't just always shade help to Portland Sutton.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_00]: You can't always shade help to water because if you do a good quarterback like Botanix, give him enough views of that kind of thing and he'll make you pay.
- 47:07[SPEAKER_01]: And even if you do sometimes shade help and double cover bracket, jail and water, whatever, he'll beat it.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_01]: He'll still make the play.
- 47:15[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't know though that of the Broncos and with respect to Sutton and Franklin, Minnes and everybody else, I don't know that another receiver could have done that for Bonix and 2025.
- 47:25[SPEAKER_01]: So it could not be stated enough, Chad, how monumental of an upgrade bringing jail and water into this receiving core is.
- 47:32[SPEAKER_00]: By the way, shout out to a dear member, Roy Osborn, who says, there's no way to celebrate my 17th wedding anniversary tonight than being here.
- 47:40[SPEAKER_00]: Dude, congrats to you.
- 47:42[SPEAKER_00]: That's awesome.
- 47:44[SPEAKER_00]: Congrats to you and the misses.
- 47:45[SPEAKER_00]: And I hope you've had a phenomenal anniversary day, Roy.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_00]: And I hope she's suffering through you being on the MHH podcast in good spirits and good humor.
- 47:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, definitely Roy, enjoy your night, man.
- 48:00[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much for popping in here and sharing with us.
- 48:02[SPEAKER_01]: We really appreciate you.
- 48:04[SPEAKER_00]: And by the way, we got the rock saying, I believe basically that you can correct Mike Washington's fumbling issues.
- 48:11[SPEAKER_00]: And even if you couldn't, even if what you said to me is, what was it?
- 48:15[SPEAKER_00]: Something like one, every 65 touches or something like that in college, even if it,
- 48:20[SPEAKER_00]: Couldn't be fixed in the NFL.
- 48:22[SPEAKER_00]: He still offers the upside there man as could be like you were talking about with some running backs Shading a boy comes to mind, but sometimes it offsets right if they're that explosive and impactful You can live with the ball and security here and there I'm not sure Zack that Melvin Gordon ever justified at least as a Bronco But I digress yeah, don't get me started on Merlot Gordon, but like think about the number 65 though Chad
- 48:49[SPEAKER_01]: That's 20 touches a game for a bill cow.
- 48:52[SPEAKER_01]: That's three games until he reaches that quota for a running back in a committee.
- 48:56[SPEAKER_01]: It could be five or six games or seven games with how they divvy up the carry.
- 49:00[SPEAKER_01]: So again, it's a mitigated issue for me with Mike Washington.
- 49:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm just looking for some other member comments as we start kind of getting close to to the end here.
- 49:14[SPEAKER_00]: And while we search here, Zach, let's grab this from J.R. on Facebook, who says, if you were the coaches, when should you start drafting for a Garrett Bull's replacement?
- 49:27[SPEAKER_00]: For the last time, I don't see Ben Powers on the team next year, possibly even Mike McGlinchy out the door as well, just curious on your thoughts.
- 49:35[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I think George Peyton kind of unwittingly
- 49:44[SPEAKER_00]: by saying that they're aware of the advancing age of their two starting tackles.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_00]: Both McLinci Ambles, Zach, or on the wrong side of 30, they're both still playing at a high level.
- 49:54[SPEAKER_00]: So it's not like it's a desperate situation, but George Payton specifically fears quote unquote aging at the same time at that position.
- 50:04[SPEAKER_00]: So this could be the earsack that you finally see the Broncos actually draft an offensive tackle.
- 50:11[SPEAKER_00]: Now on the Ben Powers front,
- 50:13[SPEAKER_00]: Just today, J.R. Eric dropped a finding Broncos article that had five kind of more mid round options mid to late round options of guys who could genuinely have the upside as mid round guys to be drafted this year and then be in line develop be ready to rock as a potential powers replacement in 2027.
- 50:41[SPEAKER_01]: I've been trying to warn everyone based on what Sean Payton's been saying and now George Payton recently at the the owners meetings talking about the offensive line that they could invest capital there fairly soon as Sean Payton even said it himself and my history we've put early capital there fairly often.
- 50:59[SPEAKER_01]: They had Jude Bowery on a top 30 they spoke with Craig Known as well.
- 51:03[SPEAKER_01]: They've met with some other offensive linemen That's legitimately in play for the Broncos at 62, but even if not you're right They have to start thinking about the future because and just not one guy
- 51:15[SPEAKER_01]: maybe with the exception of Palcho or Frank Crum that I'm truly comfortable with or maybe even moderately excited about.
- 51:22[SPEAKER_01]: It'd be nice to have a blue chip player in the pipeline for the future.
- 51:26[SPEAKER_01]: So I agree directly on the J.R. with what you're saying.
- 51:31[SPEAKER_00]: Shout out to David T, good to see you, buddy.
- 51:33[SPEAKER_00]: Hope you're feeling better these days, my friend.
- 51:36[SPEAKER_00]: And he says, I still haven't watched the TV video, but I say, get it tied in.
- 51:40[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you don't really need to watch it.
- 51:43[SPEAKER_00]: David, you could just take it from us on what he said.
- 51:45[SPEAKER_00]: There's also an article up at mylohotel.com.
- 51:49[SPEAKER_00]: You can go read that.
- 51:50[SPEAKER_00]: And the tweet clip is embedded in the article.
- 51:53[SPEAKER_00]: So that would be my advice.
- 51:54[SPEAKER_00]: But Zach, when it comes to the potential or the possibilities of what could define
- 51:59[SPEAKER_00]: a big move on draft day.
- 52:01[SPEAKER_00]: It could be to trade up for a tie-in.
- 52:03[SPEAKER_00]: Like the only thing that comes to mind as like slightly approaching justifying a trade up for any offensive player in this draft would be Kenyan Sadik and even then I don't think it would be worth trading up.
- 52:18[SPEAKER_00]: You know, probably what it would cost the Broncos to get from 62 all the way up to where you could feasibly not feasibly guarantee you're going to get that guy top 15 you have to for sure get into the top 15 to guarantee you get him top 10 probably and if you're doing that exact from 62 you're giving up this year's second round pick next year's first round pick probably next year's second round pick next year's first round pick probably to get that far up.
- 52:48[SPEAKER_00]: I don't see it, but there's all other options that in the second round like Eli Stowers if you're looking for another move receiving type tight in and then this class does have several guys including the guy you drafted in your mock today's act.
- 53:02[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I would hope that Ingram or Adam Troutman would be involved in that deal because otherwise, what's the point?
- 53:08[SPEAKER_01]: You're already having a crowded room as it is by running it back from 25, so they're going to have to start thinking about the future there.
- 53:14[SPEAKER_01]: And I would just save the capital if you're talking about trading up and signed David and Joku after the draft, he can do most things that Evan Ingram can and can't do.
- 53:23[SPEAKER_00]: So that's where I would go with that.
- 53:30[SPEAKER_00]: He says, besides Cincinnati, linebacker, Jake Golday, what other options do the Broncos realistically have to add a quality linebacker in round two, four, or five.
- 53:45[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of them depends on where you want to prioritize it, relative to your board, but Zack, I mean, once you get past,
- 53:56[SPEAKER_00]: Um, the first round, some guys that could feasibly potentially be there in round two.
- 54:02[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see how the board falls CJ Allen from Georgia probably not, but there's a chance he could be there in round two.
- 54:08[SPEAKER_00]: The guy Zach and I really love Texas text Jacob Rodriguez don't forget about Texas's Anthony hill junior Jake gold as you mentioned and then the last guy that's really truly flirting with second round Chatter is Missouri's Josiah Trotter and from there Zach you get to some other decent options like Kyle Lewis from pit he's more of a round three
- 54:32[SPEAKER_01]: Potentially round four guy a little bit later on my favorite guy fourth round fifth round is Oregon's Bryce Petcher Yeah, we both agreed on that we ran a mini maca last week or whatever it was and that's a good value pick for the broadcast And that's it and I hate to say this again Todd, but it's kind of how the board breaks after the second round Whatever linebackers are available if they don't go in linebacker around to but they definitely have some decent second round and also mid round options that Chad laid out perfectly
- 55:01[SPEAKER_00]: By the way, I see Quentin entering the chat, good to see you Q. Tucson Phil says, guys, what two players do you feel have to step up this year to keep their job?
- 55:14[SPEAKER_00]: Well, one of them, I'm going to mention Zach, and as I mentioned him, I'm not convinced he'll be a Bronco.
- 55:22[SPEAKER_00]: I hope he is.
- 55:24[SPEAKER_00]: I prefer him to remain a Bronco and not be traded, but Riley Moss is going to face some intense competition from Jaday Barron this season who else you got for Phil.
- 55:35[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, so many, so many players, like in think of one of the receivers in, in, in order to avoid being traded after the jail and water move, I would say JK Dobbins has to step up because they're going to draft a running back and he's aware of the team knowing about his injury history and he knows that another injury can not only end his Broncos tenure, but his NFL career.
- 55:56[SPEAKER_01]: You can pretty much apply this.
- 55:59[SPEAKER_01]: label, needing to step up to keep your job to every player on the roster except for bonus.
- 56:04[SPEAKER_01]: But when you mentioned Rowland, that was the same thing I was thinking.
- 56:07[SPEAKER_01]: Also Brandon Jones in the secondary chat, they're probably going to draft his safety or whatever, but he's coming off an injury room season.
- 56:15[SPEAKER_01]: He's entering a contract year.
- 56:16[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, look to the secondary first with Moss and Brandon Jones.
- 56:20[SPEAKER_00]: Well said, thank you, Phil.
- 56:21[SPEAKER_00]: Guys, don't go anywhere.

- 57:35[SPEAKER_00]: The Texas Tech linebacker, he would be awesome.
- 57:38[SPEAKER_00]: Michaela says, I heard Drew Sanders, the fourth year linebacker is on the trading block, we'll see.
- 57:45[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not sure what value he would have.
- 57:48[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, other than purely untapped production, he just can't stay on the field.
- 57:53[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not sure what you could get out of him, but it wouldn't completely shock me, Zach, if he was packaged in the draft day trade.
- 58:00[SPEAKER_01]: I would take literally anything for your standards at this point, not even exaggerating.
- 58:06[SPEAKER_00]: But hey guys, before we dip on out of here, a mile high salute and a special shout out to all the great super chat super stars, supporters and dear members, help us keep the lights on on this 13th day of April, guys, the draft.
