- 0:20They got review bombed during COVID because people were losing
- 0:24their sense of smell and then saying that the candles didn't
- 0:28smell enough. Well.
- 0:30That's really that's that's unfortunate.
- 0:32Well, I always liked the Yankee Candle.
- 0:34You're pretty cool. Unless we find out you did
- 0:36something bad, in which case I never liked you.
- 0:39It's like Yankee Candle. That's that is.
- 0:42You know, it's it's the the the greeting card company.
- 0:45Yeah, yeah, Hallmark. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 0:47It was something. It was some greeting card
- 0:49company that it was like a hurricane.
- 0:51Oh no. No, no, no, no, no.
- 0:55This they they, they stole a lot of treasures from around the
- 0:57world. Pirates.
- 1:00Europe. No, No, No, No, No, No, no, no,
- 1:03no. I don't know.
- 1:05Store that stole a bunch of artifacts from around the world.
- 1:13What do they got like? Hobby Lobby.
- 1:15Tutankhamun Slab. Hobby Lobby Lobby.
- 1:18Oh yeah, no, they were stealing people's art and putting it on
- 1:21shit and selling it. I.
- 1:22Believe that, but what do you mean by artifacts like?
- 1:26In 2017, arts and crafts retailer Hobby Lobby was fined 3
- 1:30million in force to forfeit thousands of ancient Iraqi
- 1:33artifacts smuggled into the US. The company bought over 5500
- 1:37items, including cuneiform tablets intended for the Museum
- 1:41of the Bible, despite warnings of illegal Providence.
- 1:47Come on, Hobby Lobby, do better. Just kidding, you can't.
- 1:50They're Christian organizations. Fuck off.
- 1:54The artifacts were smuggled from the UAE and Israeli Israel using
- 1:59falsified declarations. Nothing like appreciating
- 2:05pillaging it. Yeah, Hobby Lobby's a fucking
- 2:08Christian store. That's crazy.
- 2:11Well, it's not crazy. There I wear my extra society
- 2:14that has a giant. Dude.
- 2:16There you go. Think about this.
- 2:18Someone's Mima and someone's Papa just have this somewhere in
- 2:22there. It's like a fucking thing.
- 2:24Somewhere I I seriously doubt that they sold it at Hobby
- 2:28Lobby. I think that like the owner, the
- 2:32like the CEO of Hobby Lobby has it probably in his fucking in
- 2:36his MC mansion, Yeah. Yeah, it's in the shadow box
- 2:39somewhere. Yeah, they have also had
- 2:42problems where the court ruled based on religious freedom that
- 2:46closely held companies could deny employees contraception
- 2:51coverage under the ACA. So it's.
- 2:53So very Christian of you. You know what?
- 2:55Everybody listening, don't support Hobby Lobby.
- 2:59They know that people know. People know that Hobby Lobby is
- 3:02terrible. What is a code 9 at Hobby Lobby?
- 3:05Do we are time? We do not have time for this
- 3:08rabbit hole. I've I've.
- 3:12What does 1010 mean? We're going to bring back OBO.
- 3:16Just to I hate saying. Just to hate on Hobby Lobby.
- 3:19I'm down. Fuck Hobby Lobby you can get.
- 3:21Some cheap cheap gundams. Yeah, at Hobby Lobby.
- 3:27Yeah, you can, dude. I'm surprised that they would
- 3:30allow that. They'd be doing 40 and 50% off
- 3:33plastic model kits and you can. Yeah, they they don't know what
- 3:38they got. No, which that's the only
- 3:41reason. That's the only reason to go
- 3:43there. Fuck them though.
- 3:44Fuck them, they have not a clue what they got.
- 3:46Hell yeah. Hobby Lobby bad, but.
- 3:50You know what's not bad, Nick? This, absolutely.
- 3:53This podcast. Oh, oh, oh, oh, I, you know
- 3:57what? I I didn't mean to interrupt
- 3:58you. It's audio.
- 4:01It's audio, honey, for the listeners.
- 4:03Why don't you want an intro today, buddy?
- 4:05No, you do it. Okay, I feel bad.

- 4:48All part of the spawn camp community getting links down
- 4:52below. Check it out, Noah.
- 4:54Yes. This was your week, bud.
- 4:57Yes, it was. This week I picked the Soviet
- 5:02Sleep Experiment from 2009. The Soviet Sleep Experiment was
- 5:08directed by Barry Anderson and written by Michael Patrick
- 5:11McAfee. The movie is based on the famous
- 5:15creepypasta story by the name of the Russian Sleep Experiment and
- 5:20this that story is probably one of the most well known
- 5:23creepypastas along with Jeff the Killer and Ben Drowned.
- 5:27Those creepypastas are generally known for being cheesy and
- 5:30poorly written for the most part.
- 5:32However, sometimes a story like this shines through for its
- 5:35quality and overall scare factor.
- 5:40So this this movie is it stars Eva de Domenici, Rafall, I'm
- 5:49going to butcher this name, Zoe Ruja and Chris Kattan.
- 5:55Biggest shocker of my life seeing that man in this movie.
- 6:00Eva de Domenici is known for a lot of her TV work and some
- 6:07cameo appearances and shows like Hawaii 5.
- 6:09O Rafal has done a lot of Polish productions, a lot of movies
- 6:14that you definitely can't say the name of, but a handful of
- 6:17American and Western movies as well.
- 6:20Chris Kattan is definitely the most well known person in this
- 6:24cast. His roles on SNL, Aqua Teen
- 6:27Hunger, Forest House on Haunted Hill from 1999 and my personal
- 6:31favorite Scouts honor Badge to the Bone, which I would credit.
- 6:37I would, I'm going to say at least for me, there would be no
- 6:42it came from screen box without a movie like that because I saw
- 6:45that movie that was like the first like bad movie that I saw
- 6:49and really enjoyed. I watched that with my dad.
- 6:51We got on pay-per-view and we absolutely love that money.
- 6:56I love that movie. Hell yeah.
- 6:57So. Big UPS, big UPS.
- 7:00Good to see Brandon back at it again.
- 7:02He this is either an upgrade or a downgrade from being a scout.
- 7:06But yeah, it's super cool to see him in this.
- 7:12So quick TLDR of the creepypasta that this is based off of.
- 7:17It was again called the Russian Sleep Experiment, and it was
- 7:20posted in 2010 by a user called Orange Soda to a website that
- 7:26later became the creepypasta wiki.
- 7:29The basic premises. In the 1940s, a secret
- 7:32experiment is performed on five political prisoners.
- 7:35The experiment was to show the effects of lack of sleep and how
- 7:39it relates to violent tendencies.
- 7:41The men in the story were exposed to a gas and a stimulant
- 7:45that kept them awake and the. It affects the men in different
- 7:49ways and the story is set up like logs from the experiment.
- 7:56It the effects range from the madness, refusing to eat,
- 8:01becoming violence against themself and others and
- 8:03eventually then deteriorating to the part where they're no longer
- 8:08human, they no longer feel emotions or pain, and they get
- 8:12like a zombie like expression. So the the big premise of the
- 8:19movie is what happens when you stay awake for too long.
- 8:24So there's plenty of real life science behind this.
- 8:29Sleep deprivation is obviously a serious condition and can cause
- 8:33damaging side effects and permanent brain damage if it's
- 8:36bad enough. Your brain is not programmed to
- 8:40stay awake forever, and sleeping is a chance for your brain to
- 8:46rest and encode memories, like when you backup a hard drive on
- 8:50your computer. Sleep deprivation occurs after
- 8:5324 hours of continuous awakeness, and then you'll start
- 9:01to have side effects like impaired judgement, decreased
- 9:05coordination, mood swings, stress.
- 9:09Those effects in this first stage are known to mimic a blood
- 9:13alcohol content of 0.10%, which is well over the legal limit.
- 9:19After 36 hours, the memory issues become more intense.
- 9:23You become easily confused, fatigued and this is also when a
- 9:27when AI guess a condition called microsleeps start which are
- 9:33brief losses of consciousness where the brain does not process
- 9:37new information. Your eyes may even stay awake
- 9:40during a microsleep but you will not remember what you saw after.
- 9:47After 48 hours, the hallucinations become more
- 9:51intense. People experience
- 9:53depersonalization, which is like an out of body feeling where
- 9:56you're like feeling like you're out of control of yourself.
- 10:00Along with all the other symptoms will become more
- 10:01intense. After 72 hours.
- 10:04The brain is attempting to shut itself down.
- 10:07Your body is just like you're running on fumes.
- 10:10There's nothing. Every signal your body is
- 10:13telling you is to go to sleep. There's a total loss in physical
- 10:18coordination, severe hallucinations, and the urge to
- 10:21go to sleep will be nearly unbearable.
- 10:24These symptoms resemble psychosis in some people.
- 10:29Throughout that time, there are also brief phases of euphoria
- 10:33which mimic hypoxia when your brain is being starved of
- 10:36oxygen. And it feels similar to like if
- 10:39you're on laughing gas. So you feel a little bit little
- 10:42bit floaty, but there's a big crash that comes after that,
- 10:45usually leading to mood swings, irritability and confusion.
- 10:49Sucks. So there's so more about like
- 10:53the people who have stayed awake for the longest.
- 10:56In 1964, a 17 year old student named Randy Gardner from San
- 11:01Diego stayed awake for 264 hours, about 11 days and 24
- 11:07minutes. He broke the record that was
- 11:09previously held by Tom Rounds in 1959, whose record setting
- 11:15attempt was 260 hours, 11 days. Except he did it live on the
- 11:20radio as a publicity stunt. Both of these guys were
- 11:25monitored by medical staff and claimed to recover afterwards.
- 11:30Randy, after his attempt, slept for 14 hours straight but then
- 11:34stayed up the next day for 10 hours.
- 11:38In 2007, Tony Wright believed he had beaten Gardner's record and
- 11:43he recorded the whole thing. He had the footage to back it up
- 11:47but he didn't actually beat the record.
- 11:51Randy had stated that he recovered fully from the
- 11:54experiment but in 2017 he said he was experienced serious
- 11:58insomnia and believed it to be from the event.
- 12:01That was when he was 17 and it was still and he believes it's
- 12:05still affecting him now there it does look like there is someone
- 12:11who beat Randy's record. However, Guinness did not cover
- 12:15it as they had made a policy so that forbid the maintaining of
- 12:20those records. But this record was 267 hours or
- 12:2411 1/2 days, which was then beaten by Maureen Weston from
- 12:29Peterborough, Cambridgeshire in England.
- 12:32Oh my God. Who in 1977 stayed awake for 449
- 12:38hours, nearly 19 days. And this was also allegedly
- 12:43during a rocking chair marathon, whatever that is.
- 12:47I'm not a clue. But again, Guinness had made a
- 12:50rule that they would not do any upkeep on this record.
- 12:55I mean, and that was a policy change, Yeah.
- 12:58They were like, if we keep advertising this, people are
- 13:01going to keep doing it. And.
- 13:02They're going to leave They. Did yeah, they believe that it
- 13:05that it had permanent damage and you can and it's, you can
- 13:09permanently damage your brain with this like that staying
- 13:12away, staying up beyond the time that you need to be.
- 13:17Your brain is trying to do like a memory dump and you're just
- 13:20cooking those circuits. So it can lead to like long term
- 13:24memory loss and you just lose the ability to remember new
- 13:29memories. Yeah, yeah.
- 13:33But that said, how was how? What is the longest you stayed
- 13:36awake? Because I think, I don't even
- 13:38think I've stayed awake for 24 hours.
- 13:42Who, who? Where do we go?
- 13:44From here, go on Nick, you're a goblin. 3 1/2 days.
- 13:50I was on a serious Bender though.
- 13:53See that? I mean, that's a whole another
- 13:55aspect. Of it, I was yeah, I was
- 13:58drinking. We were just, I don't know dude,
- 14:01we we were getting fucked up for three days dude, it was not
- 14:03good. I was also like 22 now dude, I'm
- 14:08telling you straight up now, if I don't like I still go to bed
- 14:11at like my sleeping. This is so fucked up because my
- 14:15sleeping habits since I was like 11 have been like, you go to bed
- 14:19at like 233, we wake up at 7 since I was a kid and I still do
- 14:28it. But the more and more I do it,
- 14:29the more fucked I feel. So it's like it hurts.
- 14:33But now I can actually like like sometimes I'll just slink away
- 14:38from discord and go crash out. But like, yeah, I thought 3 1/2
- 14:42days and I was, I was feeling that on top of the booze too.
- 14:46I was getting really, really sick.
- 14:48Yeah, I bet. Yeah.
- 14:49Yeah, and then I slept for like a day and 1/2 though after that
- 14:54a crash 3. Days 3.
- 14:56Days, yeah. Awesome young, but it was not a
- 15:01Bender. It was probably stone, probably
- 15:04smoked a lot of pot, and probably Skyrim.
- 15:07I think it was when I got my hands on Skyrim.
- 15:10More than fucking likely. Oh.
- 15:11Yours is yours is a lot nicer than mine.
- 15:13I was just a drunk piece of shit.
- 15:16I think like the longest day I've had in recent memory is
- 15:20probably the the first day when we went to when we went.
- 15:25To. California, that was.
- 15:27We were up dummy early and I think we I was awake for a full
- 15:3224 hours. We we were up for a full 24 if
- 15:35not maybe 25 because of all the shuffling we had to do and all
- 15:39like everything we were doing. It was just like holy the and
- 15:42our adrenaline though was going though that was.
- 15:44Yeah. But then like, yeah, it was like
- 15:47midnight their time, but 3:00 AM our time.
- 15:50And we had like gotten to the airport at 4 the previous day.
- 15:54So it was like that. That is crazy.
- 15:57And I feel like had that been just a normal day, I would have
- 16:01felt the effects of that way more.
- 16:04There was so much going on. Like all of these experiments
- 16:06that they do, they were just like sitting in a room for the
- 16:10whole time. Yeah, that's what makes it
- 16:11sometimes worse. That's what makes this movie way
- 16:14more shit. Not shit and as in the movie,
- 16:16but like the experiment is shit because like, you're just in a
- 16:18thing. You got nothing to entertain
- 16:20yourself with. You're with a couple other guys
- 16:23who are also just as hungry and pissed off and tired as you are.
- 16:27Some of them are violent, some of them are just like, weird.
- 16:30It's just like the whole thing is just so claustrophobic.
- 16:34I so glad throughout the entire movie we are not stuck in that
- 16:38fucking thing so long. Yeah, I, I skim through movies a
- 16:43lot of the time, just like click through it.
- 16:46And I was very glad that every single frame I didn't click on
- 16:49was just from the inside of the room because I there was AI feel
- 16:53like there's a chance that it would have been like a like a
- 16:56single frame type of deal. Though I will say a movie, an
- 17:03hour and a half movie of the of like a group in a pod like that.
- 17:08And like, you know, you're gonna have to make some cuts and like,
- 17:11sacrifices with like, time frame, but like, a movie
- 17:14dedicated to the inside of a pod like that for an experiment like
- 17:17that, I feel like it would be cool.
- 17:19It'd be claustrophobic, but you get to see, like, true psyche
- 17:23change. So yeah, that'd be cool.
- 17:29Yeah, the the movie like the whole time, like I couldn't help
- 17:32but compare it to the creepypasta and a lot like it.
- 17:36It's setting up this, it's like wartime Soviet Russia.
- 17:41And it's this this couple that's performing an experiment.
- 17:46And there's little bread crumbs about their relationship and how
- 17:50they got to that point. And they have maybe a checkered
- 17:54past which is covered up. And there's a general who's
- 17:58going to come observe the experiment.
- 18:00They're worried about him figuring out who they are.
- 18:05But it sets it up, you know, a lot like the story does where
- 18:08it's their political prisoners. So there's a, it's a healthy mix
- 18:12of like violent, nonviolent people, but then they get them
- 18:18into the the chamber and the chamber itself is like, I don't
- 18:24know, what would you call it? It's like, it's like the size of
- 18:26a large propane tank. It it resembles like a little
- 18:31submarine. Yeah.
- 18:34But like, you know, like obviously not a little.
- 18:37I would. I don't know.
- 18:38I've never been in a fucking submarine but like.
- 18:42I would. I would have to.
- 18:43Guess it was like. It's like a yeah.
- 18:46I would guess it's like the size of like a bus shelter, you know
- 18:49what I mean? OK, Yeah, I can see that.
- 18:52Yeah, yeah, definitely. Like that's something you could,
- 18:54you can visualize that like you could fit four or five people
- 18:58inside of it. Standing there, standing.
- 18:59Next to each other. Yeah, yeah.
- 19:01There's no bathroom in that thing.
- 19:04I think there is. I think I.
- 19:06Where there's there's like a. Urinals, they're just like.
- 19:08Shitting and I. Think they're where they're
- 19:10doing their tests? Yep.
- 19:11And getting fed. Yeah.
- 19:13So they're literally just animals at that point.
- 19:17Pretty much because I mean, the movie doesn't really focus on
- 19:19that kind of there is there. They definitely focus on the
- 19:23lack of food, but they don't necessarily focus on like the
- 19:28hygiene of this thing. But they kind of do, because
- 19:31they had that shit on their ready when they rebelled.
- 19:35Yeah. And smeared on the window.
- 19:40Yeah, there's just like in the in the story, there is a a
- 19:43moment where they RIP their clothes to rags and use their
- 19:47shit to put it on the window so that they put.
- 19:49Peakies. Some peakies on the window.
- 19:53Who cement? Yeah, dude.
- 19:55Fuck of the yuck dude. But you know what they were?
- 19:58They were restrained because there there could have been a
- 19:59lot more poo, but there was a lot of blood mostly.
- 20:02There's a lot, a lot of blood. There was like a white substance
- 20:05of 1.2. I was like.
- 20:07I was like, is that what? What's going on in that their
- 20:10chamber? I was like who, who, who let #4
- 20:14just get one off really quick and rub it on the on the window
- 20:17dude, I'd be pissed. You're stuck in there and
- 20:20someone's like don't look. I'm like, no.
- 20:22I'd be like, when did you do this?
- 20:23Yeah, dude, when did you have the time like.
- 20:26Snuck one these these guys go crazy almost immediately.
- 20:31Dude you would 4 hours in I'm telling you straight up I'm
- 20:34having a full on fit. I think the craziest part, like
- 20:39I think they did this maybe to accelerate the insanity, but
- 20:43they made it so small. Like in the other stories like
- 20:46this, it's a big room where there was like books at least.
- 20:49And they could they could do something to entertain
- 20:52themselves. But in this they're literally
- 20:54sitting. Well, no, they they couldn't
- 20:57sleep in any of the other like sleep experiments.
- 21:00It's a sleep experiment, Alex. But they have like.
- 21:04They have like. Comfy chairs.
- 21:06Yeah. And it's, it's always the same.
- 21:08There's a lot of like, copycat stories.
- 21:11What's worse, What's worse? Being in a room that is
- 21:14comfortable, like I'm saying, with some amenities, chairs,
- 21:19couches, like enough chairs for everyone to sit and they're
- 21:22long, they're plush and they're nice.
- 21:26Some books, maybe a couple records, some like maybe you get
- 21:31like a beer or a coffee or something and some decent food
- 21:35every day or stuck in here. But in both rooms you can't
- 21:39sleep. If you fall asleep it's a
- 21:41problem. What is worse the the cock tease
- 21:47or the actual just shithole the. Tube being in the launch.
- 21:51I would say the I mean I get where you're coming from with
- 21:56like the cock tease part. Because like.
- 21:58You just get so comfortable at a point you're just like fuck it,
- 22:02why not? Yeah, but but well-being in a
- 22:05room that small I. Think it's a psychological
- 22:08warfare though in the other room.
- 22:11Well, I wonder if. But both are.
- 22:13It's both. Yeah, I.
- 22:14Don't know. Yeah.
- 22:15I wonder if what, like 'cause like what are the effects of the
- 22:19gas? Is it that you don't want to
- 22:22sleep like you don't feel? I thought it was.
- 22:25Like a need to or you feel tired but it doesn't allow you to.
- 22:29No, I think it like keeps you up unless it's like a placebo like
- 22:33they hear the gas I. Was going to say, yeah, it's
- 22:35also that theory. Yeah, so like, I wonder if it's
- 22:38a placebo, like, oh shit, Like what is that?
- 22:40And it keeps your mind racing, Like what is this gas?
- 22:44What is that? Hiss?
- 22:45Why is this coming into the room?
- 22:46I don't want this in the room. So it's like that state of fear
- 22:49where you're in flight mode or fight mode, but you can't flight
- 22:52out and you can't fight out. So your body's in a constant
- 22:57state of confusion, but you can't sleep because you're in
- 22:59that state of confusion. So your your adrenaline's
- 23:01constantly going. Yeah, I wonder.
- 23:05Super psychological sucks. I wonder if like because they
- 23:10don't explain like what the gas is, but I like, I wonder what is
- 23:18it actually doing? Like is it having more of a
- 23:20physical effect where it's blocking you from actually
- 23:25falling asleep? Because you see the guys, they
- 23:28get like drowsy and they start, you start to see those little
- 23:31micro sleep events where you, you know, you your head drops
- 23:35and then you catch, you catch yourself the best.
- 23:39And they tell them like, hey, stay awake as if the gas doesn't
- 23:43keep them awake. It does something else.
- 23:49I feel like that'd be so counterproductive to the entire
- 23:51experiment if you put something in there to make them sleepy.
- 23:55Yeah, but they're they're trying to.
- 23:58They're testing it could be. Oh well, I guess you want to
- 24:01push them as far as they can go though too.
- 24:03And and they could be testing to use it on enemies.
- 24:08So we get a bit of, we get a bit of that.
- 24:11They mentioned that the general is coming or the commander or
- 24:15whatever they call him because they want to use this
- 24:18information with the Red Army. And there's there's a couple
- 24:24hints towards that they might be trying to use this information
- 24:28for the Soviet space program where they're and then, and this
- 24:35is like you see in media all the time.
- 24:36It's like an original Twilight Zone episode where they they
- 24:39isolate the guy as his training for space travel.
- 24:43This is the same deal where they're training this guy to
- 24:45stay awake because he might need to be awake for prolonged Space
- 24:49Flight. Yep, Yeah, no, there's like good
- 24:54twists in this movie as well. There's some pretty good twists,
- 24:57yeah. You know, So yeah, fuck, fuck
- 25:00all that, dude. I ain't going no tube like that,
- 25:02bro. You're not putting me in a spam
- 25:03can. I seen the big twist.
- 25:06I've. I kind of figured it out like
- 25:09kind of early on. I didn't say anything though
- 25:11because I watching a movie I'm not going to say shit.
- 25:16But you can say it now. Say it.
- 25:18Yeah. No, I I had a feeling that Leo
- 25:22and Anna were part of the experiment as well.
- 25:27See, I I did not see that twist coming.
- 25:29What I thought was going to happen spoilers.
- 25:33What I thought was going to happen was because we have the
- 25:37there's the side plot of Leo having like sleep troubles of
- 25:41his own and you have Anna giving him medicine.
- 25:47My thought was that was the actual experiment and it was
- 25:51going to get to the end and whatever would happen with the
- 25:54test subjects. But then she would like turn
- 25:56around and be like, you've been the experiment the whole time.
- 26:01I kind of. Be a slap to the face.
- 26:04I kind of think when it comes something like this so
- 26:07contained, it seems like the scientists are always a part of
- 26:13unwillingly a part of this, which I like that.
- 26:17Yeah. So I wanted to, I, I wish there
- 26:20was more on like how much they were being studied themselves
- 26:23and what the psychological effects of this were on them,
- 26:27which obviously with Leo, he's got sleep walking, he's
- 26:31insomnia, Anna. Night terrors.
- 26:35Night terrors not really much on her.
- 26:37You don't really get much on her, except for like the seeds
- 26:40of doubt that Yuri presents to them, Really.
- 26:46But you have to roll the R You gotta.
- 26:51Yeah, I love, I love when your little accent.
- 26:52Comes out, yeah, it's, it's, it's a fucking chicken.
- 26:57Oh, that was a good moment. That was, I know them well.
- 27:00I'm not even, that's not even my fucking culture, but that that
- 27:03would have been my response. That would be like a fucking
- 27:06chicken. Yeah, that it was insane.
- 27:09Nick predicted a line seconds before it was said.
- 27:16Well, the the end sort of sets up that these experiments have
- 27:20been happening or they are happening all over the world and
- 27:24all throughout time. Yeah.
- 27:28It's always the same result. Do we think that they're all
- 27:33connected somehow or are all? Is it like a space race type
- 27:37thing where every country is trying this at the same time?
- 27:42Oh, that, that'd be cool. I mean, I, I, if Russia's doing
- 27:47it, we're doing it times 10. That's how I look.
- 27:50Well, I mean, we are, I mean, if, if Russia's doing something
- 27:53or China's doing something or. Is it anywhere?
- 27:56Else it is so like it. Always has been, always will be.
- 28:00So I could see other countries doing shit like this, like times
- 28:03whatever the next one's doing or the last one's doing.
- 28:06So like I, I kind of think they're all either happening in
- 28:10conjunction with themselves. I don't think it's one country.
- 28:13I think multiple countries are like, hey, yeah, what's we'll,
- 28:17we'll show you how far we can take it.
- 28:19And I think they're all kind of happening in conjunction at the
- 28:22same time or like you know, it's showing the continuing or you
- 28:26know, because again. It's showing the progress.
- 28:30Well it also shows like doesn't matter what element you put it
- 28:33in because that little fucking thing at the end is like in the
- 28:36snow in like the Arctic looking area or probably just like a
- 28:40snowy area. It could just a snowy place.
- 28:43But like that sucks because like you're in a fucking metal, like
- 28:47tin can, they're in. I mean, but that would be an
- 28:52interesting variable. Is it like?
- 28:54Well, there you go. If you had something nice to
- 28:56look at, like if you were if the if the chamber was like on a
- 29:00beach looking out at the ocean, would that have an effect?
- 29:03That would drive me insane if I couldn't get out to go somewhere
- 29:06nice. Yeah, but you should talk about
- 29:09the little end, Stinger. Yeah.
- 29:12There's a well, I'm going to have to go back because I don't
- 29:15remember the number. Alex, do you?
- 29:18Remember the days. It was the number of hours.
- 29:22The very final testing chamber, the subjects were in there for
- 29:271600 and like I think it was like 30 something days with
- 29:33hours, hours, not days, hours, hours, which translates into
- 29:3866.6 days. 1598 hours. That looks like numbers numbers.
- 29:47And then and then it like it shows a guy who's been like
- 29:50stabbed in the neck or whatever and he falls over and it pans
- 29:54over to the door and they look in, there's like a devil lady
- 29:57inside. And that it's like a it's like a
- 30:01clear homage to the original images that was posted along
- 30:05with the creepypasta, which is like the final form that the
- 30:08subjects take where they have like big teeth and sunken eyes
- 30:12and they have like a devil face. But then the fact that they
- 30:16added that the 666 definitely muddies it a little bit because
- 30:25then it's like, what if the whole time they were, this was
- 30:28like all run by like a shadowy satanic organization.
- 30:32And this is like if you stay alive for 66.6 days, then we'll
- 30:37bring the devil in. It's like almost like number of
- 30:43martyrs. Yeah.
- 30:45OK, it's like that. Like it's like minus the
- 30:48physical torture, it's just like the.
- 30:51It's physical torture, I would say.
- 30:53It's physical, but it's not like what they do with Martyrs.
- 30:56No. Well, they that movie if you've
- 30:58not seen. Martyrs.
- 30:59Put that on screen box, we'll talk about it.
- 31:02Put the French version. I was just saying the French
- 31:04version put the French. Version.
- 31:07You thought the American version was bad, You got to watch the
- 31:09French version, but. French film.
- 31:12Yeah, you're not going to like that one.
- 31:14But some French fruit. Oh, nice.
- 31:17A little homage. We're starting in early.
- 31:24No, you imagine it didn't happen.
- 31:27No. No pie and face anyways.
- 31:33But like that does like kind of make me think of that though.
- 31:36It's like the the abuse of a person like to bring them to God
- 31:42almost. Then have that person tell you
- 31:44what does God look like? Is there an afterlife?
- 31:47You know. Like that's just cool to think
- 31:49about too, especially with them going, you know, the devil's
- 31:52involved almost are like a satanic cabal or whatever you
- 31:55want to say is involved. And there's endless theories for
- 31:58it, which is one of the reasons why it's so good.
- 32:01Yeah. What is it that Corky Romano
- 32:04says right before, like after he he stands up with the Shiv?
- 32:10Yeah, he's like, he says. You want to see heaven with me?
- 32:13Yeah. Oh yeah.
- 32:14Do you want to go to the heavens with me?
- 32:16And he's the space guy, but also he's clearly about to just stab
- 32:20those. Fucking do, dude.
- 32:23Maybe. Romano, you're an idiot.
- 32:25I don't know. In some In some versions of the
- 32:28story, the scientist is the only one left alive.
- 32:32I There's two of them. She had an axe.
- 32:34He's dead. Yeah.
- 32:36I mean, I would like to say that they could probably take him,
- 32:39but after you've been awake for. They're also 400.
- 32:43Hours just. As much as he is, and he's
- 32:45already killed a couple. People.
- 32:46And he's pissed. Yeah, he cut the tongue out of
- 32:49one and then the eyes out of another.
- 32:51What happened to the other guy? They they.
- 32:57Oh yeah. He was.
- 32:58He was stabbed in the neck I'm pretty sure because he Leo
- 33:01checks the yeah pulse immediately.
- 33:04But you don't see the fourth guy is the the guy they pull out who
- 33:08the Chris Tan cut out his tongue was he?
- 33:10And there was the guy with the eyes and then Chris Catan.
- 33:13But there's the fourth guy. Yeah, the bald guy, the tall,
- 33:16the Nosratu. Look no the the young looking
- 33:18guy who said he could ride a dog but not a not a goat.
- 33:23That's the one that got his tongue cut out, yeah.
- 33:25I don't know where he's. Missing.
- 33:29He was slumped on the wall. Fucking.
- 33:30Stabbed. He might have just been dead and
- 33:32we were not. We didn't notice.
- 33:34There was so much going on in that scene is so small area.
- 33:38But I thought it was really good.
- 33:40I, I, I went in with sort of mixed expectations and the movie
- 33:45definitely, definitely, what's the word?
- 33:53It definitely matched well it it outperformed my expectations for
- 33:56it. Yeah, I I really liked it.
- 33:58I'm I'm I would give it a give it a four out of five being like
- 34:02pretty good. I would really recommend this to
- 34:03people, especially if you're a creepypasta fan.
- 34:06Yeah, yeah, I'd give this a four out of 3.5 out of five.
- 34:13So it's fun. I like, I love the creepypasta
- 34:15story. I remember seeing it all over 4
- 34:17Chan way back in the day when I was younger, right.
- 34:19That's before 4 Chan was like, what it it is now, right?
- 34:23It's it was bad, but now it's bad for bad people, worse
- 34:27people. But this is it's, it's, it's
- 34:32cool to see it like on the screen.
- 34:34I think some of the acting can be hokey at times, but that's
- 34:37fine. It's fun.
- 34:38Some of the accents aren't always there, especially for
- 34:41that like Russian accent. They're really trying to go for
- 34:45especially Chris Kattan, where you can just blatantly hear and
- 34:49I love him. I love that man.
- 34:50And I'm it sucks that like he doesn't act as much because he's
- 34:53he's had injuries and disabilities that he goes
- 34:56through, right? But it's fun.
- 35:00It's a really cool movie. I would recommend this for
- 35:02anybody who loves creepypasta. This is definitely a movie you
- 35:06should watch with your friends. If you're all into that.
- 35:08It's it's a good time, man. I would definitely watch this
- 35:11again just to see if we pick up on anything that we maybe
- 35:14missed. It's it was fun.
- 35:15This is super fun fucking film. Hell yeah.
- 35:19Yeah, I would also give it a four out of five.
- 35:23Super solid flick, Great to the point you get everything you
- 35:29need. No, it's not slow at all.
- 35:34It's short too. It's like, it's like an hour and
- 35:3620 minutes. Yeah, it it it felt longer, but
- 35:40not in a bad way. Yeah, it it, it did feel a
- 35:43little bit longer, but it is sort of a limited set, limited,
- 35:48limited character. Yeah, story that is taking place
- 35:53over like days and days. So you know there's going to be
- 35:56some constraints there. Yep, no good pick.
- 36:00They did. They did well with it.
- 36:02Thank you. Oh yeah, very good stuff.
- 36:05And thank you screen box. Yeah, I think Screen Box for
