Andy LaRocque Leaves King Diamond | Music News
Andy LaRocque, King Diamond’s founding guitarist since 1985, has officially left the band after 40 years — a mutual, respectful parting that opens a new chapter for both him and the group. LaRocque is now fully immersed in his new project, Lex Legion, whose debut album dropped June 12 and whose first show is set for November 28 in Gothenburg. Meanwhile, King Diamond swiftly moves forward, welcoming Gus G (Ozzy, Firewind) to fill LaRocque’s iconic role and kick off a new trilogy of concept albums starting with Saint Lucifer’s Hospital 1920.
