Mackenzie Shirilla’s Mother Used Code to Ask About a Cover Story on a Monitored Call
Prosecutors decoded monitored prison calls in which Mackenzie Shirilla and her mother Natalie communicated using a fabricated language specifically designed to evade the institution’s recording system. In one decoded exchange, according to the prosecution, Shirilla asked whether they could tell police she had experienced a seizure prior to the crash.
