- KayOhKnee: Welcome back to the podcast. I'm your co-host, Kirny McKeogan. With me today on the fifth down is my boyfriend, the fifth down, Nolan Shanks. Say what's up to the pod, Nolan Nolan: Good morning, everybody. KayOhKnee: Is a good morning indeed. I still have the the low morning voice thing going on. Technology is rough this morning. Yeah, even right when we started the recording, my mouse just decided I don't I think it's just the processing power of like all of this stuff going on. Yeah, so my mouse just like doesn't move. It's like frozen, so Nolan: Is it a good morning? There there's a part of me that like every now and then just gets the random thoughts of like, I should have majored in like computer science. Just s you know, just job security, intellect, you know. KayOhKnee: Yeah, yeah. Yeah. We are ten years way too late, you know what I mean? Yeah. And I was like, I wanna play volleyball, so let's do business. Nolan: Who needs business? God. KayOhKnee: Anyway, depressing life stuff aside, we're here to talk about some NFL football. But before we do that, we have to give a shout out to our partners over at W Energy. Fantastic tasting energy, all of the energy you need to get through your day. Head on over to W. G G or use the W Energy app and our promo code, which is POI and soy. That's P-O-I-N-S-O-I for ten percent off your order. Nolan, let's talk some NFL fantasy football. All right, so we are here in the middle of our Boom or Bust series and in tier three of that series. But you know, we got a lot of got a lot of names to throw at you because as we get closer and closer to the end of these tiers, the names are gonna get kind of weird. You know what I mean? I feel like for us specifically, we had a lot of names that dropped. We had some that, you know, rose to the top of the The group there, but as we're getting near the end of our podcast here with the tier threes and the tier fours, it's there are gonna be some divisive names out there. So undoubtedly this is where we started to see a lot of movement for us. so let's get to those names. yes, and and here's all the stuff that was supposed to show, but we'll move over to the other thing. Yeah. here over at our quarterbacks tier three, we have Baker Mayfield here at the top. Nolan: There's a W Energy. KayOhKnee: Tyler Shuck to follow that, Jared Goff after that. Jordan Love, Sam Darnold, Malik Willis, Cam Ward, and CJ Stroud for our consensus rankings. Nolan, you're seeing the movement there. Not a ton of movement. This one wasn't super, super divisive for us, but we did have some. thoughts, opinions on the moves that you see, anything that is surprising to you? Nolan: Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. I mean, not surprising, but surprising is just how f how far down we have CJ Stroud. You know what mean? In comparison. we are what, two years removed from when we were all on board like CJ Stroud might be the truth and then the truth came out and it wasn't it wasn't it. but yeah, that's that's really the only I think for sure like Jared Goff and Jordan Love are it's KayOhKnee: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Mm-hmm. yes. Nolan: perfectly placed in in the in the rankings for where we where they perform. KayOhKnee: yeah. Yeah, I agree. I also think that it's not surprising for us because we've been kinda high on the train of Tyler Shuck is that dude. but it is surprising to see him slowly making his way up even the the regular fantasy pros consensus rankings. So it's nice to see him here 'cause we didn't move him too far. I thought it'd be like a plus nine or something, but yeah, it was actually very close to where consensus had him. so let's move over to your boom candidate who is Nolan: Mm-hmm. None other than Tyler Shuck. yeah, I mean w we we're we've both been enamored with how he's been performing. You know, he is an older rookie. Say what you want to say about it, the COVID years and all that good stuff. he came in more polished, and I think that's I think that's the more important thing, especially when you're looking at it from a fantasy standpoint, not necessarily like his longevity. You're playing it year to year unless you're doing dynasty or something like that. KayOhKnee: Mm. Nolan: But yeah, his his completion percentage around sixty-seven point six percent. clearly better by a little over ten percent more than what we were talking about last week with Bo Nicks. I think that tells you a lot. he's gonna be getting used to playing a f I guess what's the right word? Right, he's playing more in the Kellen Moore system, right? So he's gonna be given that first QB reps. right away from training camp. He's gonna go into it a little bit more polished, a little bit more chemistry red with all his teammates. And I think this this offense is gonna speed up a lot this season. and he's gonna be the main benefit benefactor from that. I do think that it is gonna be a wait and see approach with how the team looks first during training camp because all in all, only scoring ten TDs for playing what, three fourths of the season. That's not good. You know, so there's some QBs in the league right now who are who are doing that within like three weeks. So I I think that is something that you should be keeping an eye out. They may be able to push push up field, but getting the actual scoring done is probably where it's gonna be a little bit more wonky. KayOhKnee: Yeah, I agree wholeheartedly. he's undoubtedly one of the guys that I think both of us had rising up our rankings slowly but surely. could not agree more with who he is with as far as a head coach and sort of offensive coordinator and all that such. Yeah, Tyler Shuck to the moon, man. I'm pretty excited about him. I'm actually excited more so to watch him play because you know, we didn't get too much film on him last year. Obviously we had the Spencer Rattler beginning. Nolan: Mm-hmm. Yeah, yeah. Like I may be you know, Saints games on, you know, maybe I'll watch a little bit. KayOhKnee: Yeah. Yeah, exactly. I was like, I might be I might be throwing it together as well. So, yeah, pretty darn excited for him. I'm I'm excited to see what he does. But that brings me over to my boom candidate for tier three, which is somebody I feel like just I I feel like got shafted to this this group for some reason, but I undoubtedly have him a lot higher and that is Baker Mayfield. you know, he's right at the top of the tier, so it's not really like he's moving too much. Nolan: Mm-hmm. KayOhKnee: But I I feel like he is a quarterback one, undoubtedly. he finished last year's quarterback twelve, as you're seeing here. was somebody that was drafted or kept, I believe, last year. obviously had great value. He was at the very bottom of drafts, but that seemingly has to be like Baker Mayfield Shtick, right? Every single year he finishes pretty high up there. I mean, the last three years that he's been in Tampa Bay, he's not finished lower than QB twelve. Which was this last year. He had QB ten, QB ten, and then QB twelve for the last three years. I think that he's coming off of a year where he was injured. So he's undoubtedly somebody who is gonna be, you know, working a lot harder to prove that he can re really become one of those top ear top end QBs. he's gonna be a lot more aggressive this year because obviously he's not gonna be hurt throughout the majority of the year. And on top of that, he's gonna be betting on himself this year because Nolan: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. KayOhKnee: They're in the middle of contract negotiations. Apparently they're pretty far apart. but he is he's being professional about it in the sense that even though they're no they're not close in terms of numbers, he's willing to at least play out the year and then figure out the contract negotiation stuff at the end of the year. He doesn't want to be trying to do that while he's playing, throughout the year. So that's something that I'm I'm, you know, pretty stoked to see for Baker Mayfield. I wanna see him get paid. I wanna see him be QB one. be one of those guys who's getting paid like a QB one. So undoubtedly somebody that I have rising way above this tier for the year. All right, Nolan, so give us your bandidate for tier three. Nolan: My best candidate is Malik Willis. sorry, we're s we're just getting through some things here, everybody, on our end. look, the the thing with Malik Willis is not that I don't think he is a talented quarterback. we've seen what he did stepping in for Jordan Love multiple seasons for Green Bay. and that's no fluke. He is a competent and efficient quarterback. I Just don't like what team he's on. there's no one really to write home about. this is gonna be something where I don't think he's gonna be getting a lot of TDs or throwing TDs, because I feel like if if they do get within the red zone, it may just be the Devon Hand game from there, just because they know he's their most efficient player on the team. there could be a world where, you know, Malik Washington and Was it two to outwell? they could be deep viable options for you guys in fantasy. I just don't think that this coaching staff as well as the clientele that they or personnel that they currently have on the roster is going to be super fruitful. And I do feel like this could be something that, you know, if you take him deep, deep in the in the later rounds, as kind of like a reserve quarterback where you're just gonna wait and see. I think that's a fantastic idea. But if you're looking to get him as like your second quarterback, I I would be very wary. I just don't think it's gonna be I don't think it's gonna be a Yeah. KayOhKnee: Yeah, I was like I wholeheartedly agree. Especially with what we're hearing out of training camps now. apparently he hasn't been as accurate as, you know, they were hoping he would be. maybe it's the fact that the wide receiver room is trash, maybe it's just that he's not a great thrower. We'll see. You know what mean? Yeah, maybe, maybe, you know what I mean? There's a little bit of that, Nolan: Maybe he's been, you know, hanging out on the beaches in Miami too much since he got there. KayOhKnee: that after market regret kind of situation with him where you paid a lot of money for this dude because of what he showed in like three or four games and now, you know, we're hoping that he hits that potential. And I'm still on that train of like I I still believe in Malik Willis. I'm really hoping that he can prove myself and, you know, the other doubters wrong. I am somebody who was pretty high on him throughout the the entire off season, so I'm still hoping that he can turn it round in Miami, but You know, the the facts are the facts, you what I mean. He still hasn't really played a lot of NFL starting football. So, anyway, with that said, I'm gonna move over to my bust candidate who is somebody who has given us plenty of evidence of him not being that guy, and that is CJ Stroud. you know, undoubtedly somebody Yeah, exactly. Undoubtedly somebody who Nolan: What KayOhKnee: It's just not not not it for me. He's not somebody that I'm I'm running to the boards to grab. I I feel like even if he's available I don't even know, like super late in the draft and I still don't have a second QB, I honestly might just grab like a Fernando Mendoza. Like I I'm that low on him because I just feel like there's so much room for him to to grow this year. I feel like there's there's been Nolan: Yeah. Mm-hmm. KayOhKnee: Additions to his wide receiver or to excuse me, to his offensive line. I mean, they added some veteran help there for him. They added a couple of guys there, but nobody who really moves the needle. You know what I mean? Nobody who's gonna be game changing for this Houston Texans offensive line. And they've been one of the worst over the last few years. Even if that wasn't the case, even if he did have a great offensive line, his accuracy is terrible. I mean, we saw last year him overthrow a multitude of players. We saw him, you know, completely Nolan: Mm. KayOhKnee: Read misread routes. We saw him do just a just a plethora of bad QB technique over the last couple of years. And on top of that, his team is gonna be in a lot of run friendly game scripts. I mean, this is a a Houston Texans defense that undoubtedly didn't really lose any talent on that end. I mean, they were one of the best this last year. They were one of the best at really making, you know, game changing plays and I'm talking about like pick sixes and that to type of stuff. We're not really gonna see him on the field that much. And now we have David Montgomery who is undoubtedly gonna be a guy who can kinda just run that clock down. You know what I mean? That's what he did a lot in Chicago, that's what he did a lot in Detroit, and that's what he's probably gonna be counted on a lot for in in Houston. So I just feel like there's gonna be a lot of running back situation stuff for both, you know, Woody Marks and David Montgomery this year. So Nolan: Mm-hmm. KayOhKnee: Just not somebody that I'm super keen on on getting on any of my draft boards. And on top of that, he's just not an athletic guy. I mean, look at him. I'm just joking that I'm just kidding, that's there was I was like, but no, but I mean like in in the you know, different sense. I mean, like, yeah, he has one of those weird QB build body type of deals. But Nolan: It's weird that he doesn't even look like he's wearing pads. Like I just don't I don't know how that worked. Like KayOhKnee: Yeah. but yeah, I mean it's not even just just that he has like a wonky build. He's just not a super athletic guy. He's not he's not the type of guy that can roll out of the pocket and you know get you like s some odd yards, you know what I mean? And even what we're seeing from here, he rushed forty eight times and only had two hundred and nine yards. And the reason why that is a staggering number is because most QBs that can run which he is not that guy. I mean, have much less rushing attempts and much more yards because most defenses aren't really focused on the QB rolling out and, you know, getting into some run situations. Those weren't design plays by any means. I mean obviously he was just kind of trying to get away from the tack anybody trying to tackle him, but I mean just just not somebody I'm super keen on grabbing this next year. And you know, even if he throws for four thousand yards next year, I think they were saying that Something along the lines of like how he would finish this last year. It was like one of those like if he what was it? Like if somebody had came into the game and just checked in, they would have finished better in the playoffs or something like that. I'm just like yeah, I was just like, my gosh, how embarrassing. So yeah, undoubtedly my boss candidate for the QB three rankings. anyway, let's actually thoughts, opinions, notes, anything you want to add to that? Nolan: I think I remember, yeah. I we keep bashing on the kid, but you know it is what it is, CJ. Like KayOhKnee: Yeah, you could be you could be the you could be the little bit of the little ray of hope. Go ahead. Nolan: The little No, I'm I I'm there with ya. I mean it's his it's his game to to prove us wrong, right? That's we're the we're the Monday morning quarterbacks here in this in this realm. you can prove us wrong. That'd be fantastic. That's it. But until then, you scrub. Just kidding. KayOhKnee: yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You scrub. All right. Let's move over to the running backs here for our consensus rankings. yeah, some changes here, some you know, movement along the group, but not a ton. We had a lot of people who are in the exact spots that Fantasy Pros has them as well. So let's start off the rip. We have Bay Shao Tutin at twenty five, RJ Harvey after that, Jadarian Price, Jalen Warren, Chuba Hubbard, Rico Udraudo. Kenny Gainwell, which I will also like to defend that that is how it is written now, everywhere. So it just says Kenny Gainwell, no longer Kenneth. So I'm assuming he just decided to just do away with eth. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. So now we got Ramondre Stevenson after that, Tony Pollard, Blake Coram, JK Dobbins, and Kyle Manungay. Nolan, anything that looks surprising here from these rankings. Nolan: Kenneth is my father. I'm Kenny. I mean yeah, I guess technically how high we we put Kenny Gainwell or Kenneth Gainwell, whatever you want to call it. you know, I'm still in the the belief that he will be really efficient. And I I do think that it warrants where the five spots that we pushed him up on consensus. But we're just gonna have to kind of wait and see as well for that. but I am very excited for it. KayOhKnee: Yeah. yeah, I was only gonna kinda note here about RJ Harvey. it does feel weird that we're so high on him compared to where, you know, the consensus fantasy pros rankings have him. I mean, undoubtedly there's gonna be like this sort of weird, you know, situation with now them drafting Jonah Coleman this last year, but I don't know. It feels like it's feels like we're Nolan: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. KayOhKnee: We shouldn't be higher on him than the consensus rankings, especially considering where they had him ranked last year. But anyway, let's move over to your boom candidate for tier three running backs. Who do you have? Nolan: Mm-hmm. Ironically, my boom candidate is not RJ Harvey, but it is JK Dobbins. Yeah, yeah. here's the reason, right? when I made my list specifically. whoa! KayOhKnee: yeah, I forgot all about that. It's still a surprise for me, you know what I mean? 'Cause it's I don't see the next slide, so Nolan: The reason why I made him the boom candidate over someone like RJ Harvey is because when I made the list, RJ Harvey had just been announced as having torn labrum surgery. for those of you who don't know what the labrum is, it is kind of like the cartilage ring in your shoulder socket. and if it's torn, you have to have surgery. Recovery is few months, especially for an athlete like him. Now when you're thinking about it. He's a running back. He's not gonna be like throwing the ball or anything like that. So what is it really gonna bother him as a shoulder? Blah blah blah here and there. The one issue we've had with RJ Harvey is that he is not the greatest blocker. And if you're trying to block with a recovering shoulder, that's also not gonna be something that you're gonna be favoring too much. So I do think that this is gonna be a big moment for JK Dobbins to kind of take that role back from when he was injured last season and kind of got the the diminishing returns. he is still a a strong running back. think that it was no flick what we saw him do with the Chargers a couple seasons ago. and considering the how much he was injured last season, you know, he still finished with seven hundred and seventy two rushing yards. Five yards per attempt, that's huge for a running back, especially like w given where they're at right now. So I do think J.K. Dobbins will usurp what everyone thinks RJ Harvey is gonna be. you know, for another conversation for another day, Jonah Coleman and the RJ Harvey situation, that's gonna be something else we discussed down the line. But for right now, I think week one through training camp, J.K. Dobbins is gonna be the running back one. KayOhKnee: Yeah. I don't disagree. I was like this guy undoubtedly is gonna be a fantasy darling for a lot of people, especially where he's being drafted at. I mean, literally the only issue he ever has is staying healthy. And that's a it's a pretty big issue, but you know what I mean. He's similar you know, he reminds me a lot of like Aaron Jones where like every time he plays, great, but then you know I mean it's like sparse when he does play. Yeah. I was like, you know, you're like, great, I'm so glad I had you in my starting lineup. but anyway, yeah, we're gonna move over to Nolan: But when he doesn't great. Here we go again. KayOhKnee: to my boom candidate for this RB three ranking. Who is Kenny Gainwell? yeah, ironically, I know I went with I went with the one that had the name change. but yeah, I mean he has RB two upside. Obviously as you can see he finished R B twenty last year had a hundred and eighty-four point eight points in fantasy. But I mean, outside of that, I mean just what he can do from a schematic standpoint is gonna mesh very well with his new offensive coordinator, Zach Robinson. Zach Robinson, in case you don't know, is from that sort of Sean McVeigh tree of coaches. So undoubtedly somebody who is gonna be utilizing a lot of this Sean McVeigh wide zone offensive scheme stuff. I did in fact look that exact scheme up and found the description for it. So I'm gonna read it for you just so that you can understand why I'm saying that Kenny Kenny Gainwell is gonna be great in this offense. Yes, we do. Yeah. so the Sean McVay wide zone offense heavily relies on outside wide zone running concepts. It aims to get running backs moving laterally to stretch the defense, open up cutback lanes, and set up highly efficient play action passing. That Nolan: We do the work for you guys, so you just have to listen. KayOhKnee: Is something that was end quote by the way. That is something that Kenny Gainwell benefits the most from because he is undoubtedly one of those side to side runners. And on top of that, he's very, very good in the receiving game. So he's gonna be somebody that they're gonna be relying on heavily in this new offense. There's gonna be a lot of play action stuff. We know that Baker Mayfield is really, really good in play action. so it's a lot of stuff that will be really, really positive for Kenny Gainwell and his his game style. Nolan: Mm-hmm. Shake and bake. KayOhKnee: obviously we already know the sort of issues with Bucky Irving. He's been on sort of this weird Yeah, yeah, yeah. He's been on this really like up and down injury thing lately, you know, and on top of that, we have a Buccaneers defense that only got better. I mean, they got what was undoubtedly the steal of the draft than Ruben Bain. so this is probably gonna be a very positive run game script for Kenny, but even if it isn't Nolan: Yeah. I really like this pick from you actually. KayOhKnee: He's a huge part of the of the throwing of the passing game, excuse me, for Baker Mayfield. and undoubtedly gonna be one of his key cogs in this offense. So everything they've said out of that, you know, training camp has been positive. Yeah, I really like Kenny Gainwell this year. He's undoubtedly gonna be somebody that I'm gonna be targeting, especially in those mid rounds of drafts. But Nolan, anything to add? Nolan: Mm-hmm. Yeah. no, I'm in I'm in complete agreement. I ironically this is also something where if you remember from last year, it wasn't necessarily Bucky's ankle that bothered him later in the season. It was his shoulder. KayOhKnee: Yeah. Nolan: It's kind of reflective of where I was with my boom candidate. You know, Bucky's probably not gonna be on the field to do any blocking like runs. Or sorry, not blocking runs, but blocking plays where he can kind of like slip out. Kenny Gamel would be the perfect candidate to be able to do the block and slip and Baker will find him, especially if he has to play action and scramble out of it. So I think that boosts the more opportunities that Kenny Gamel will have this season. KayOhKnee: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yeah. And your boy got hands. I mean, I don't know if everybody saw that play where it was like a broken play and then he like fell down and caught the ball underneath the receiver and then ran in for a touchdown. We miss you, Kenny. anyway, let's move over to your bust candidate for RB three. Nolan, who do you have as your bust? Nolan: Cream of the crop. my best candidate is Tony Pollard. you know what? KayOhKnee: Why did that make you laugh? I was like, Why did you laugh right there? Nolan: Because you know, on on paper, you're looking at the stats here, right? over a thousand yards, four point five per attempt, yards per attempt. he had five rushing TDs, and I think three of them came from was it one game? Yeah right? Yeah, yeah. Yeah, there was the one crazy game deep in the season last year, where it was KayOhKnee: Yeah, actually yeah yeah. wow, yeah, you're right, yeah. He had that really sh crazy Tony Pollard out in Oregon. I completely forgot about you know what's funny? I was when I was writing out the stats, I was kinda like, Okay, Tony Pollard. I didn't yeah, you're right. That all happened in one game. Nolan: Yeah. yeah, and we're we're looking at this as, you know, on paper he looks like a competent running back to take this late in the rounds. But you're at this point you're you're hoping for like ten points a game. And for someone who's slated to be the running back one for a team, it that won't cut it. You know, I I just I just don't think that he's gonna be able to sustain it. We've talked about, you know, Nick Singleton coming in possibly taking a lot more snaps away. but I do think the main thing here is just he doesn't have the touchdown equity. And I think that that's the biggest play is like you want a player, especially when you're looking at someone deeper in like you want the big boom plays that it's gonna give you randomly you're gonna get a ten plus point boost from just one play. not just ten points throughout the whole game. KayOhKnee: No. Yeah. Nolan: And for a running back one, Tony Pollard just isn't it. he was the topic of a lot of conversations with me and my friends last season, where he was like, Do I play him this week? Do I sit him? Of course, my friend didn't play him the week that he popped off like crazy. but you know, it's it's that's not his fault. That's Tony Pollard's fault. And I don't think we can rely on Tony Pollard to get those big games consistently. And I I just I'm not here for it. I'm sorry, Tony. KayOhKnee: Damn. Technically it's his fault. yeah, I mean I I could not agree more with Tony Pollard. It's gonna be rough because, you know, I'm not again, not super scared about TJ Spears, but obviously they did draft Nick Singleton this year, so that is something that at least, you know, keep in the back of your mind. But more importantly with Tony Pollard, it's like, you know, he took over this RB one spot after having this unreal season in Dallas and then just Nolan: Sh shut up, you know what I meant. KayOhKnee: Did nothing with it. You know what I mean? Like, I don't know what happened to that that first year, Tony Pollard, you know. Find it again, Tony. You know what I mean? If you do, maybe you'll be maybe you'll be a beast this year. So anyway, let's move over to my best candidate for tier three running backs, and that is Chuba Hubbard. he's you know, currently being drafted around pick twenty seven with the potential to be replaced by Nolan: Yeah, yeah. Bus it. KayOhKnee: His former first round pick and running mate in Jonathan Brooks. I mean, or excuse me, he was a second round pick, not a first round pick. right at the top of the second round pick. second round, if I'm not mistaken. Actually, no, not again. I can't remember if he was top of second round or back end of the first round. Anyway, Jonathan Brooks. But much like Regal Dado before him Nolan: Mm-hmm. KayOhKnee: Chuba Hubbard just always has these running makes that seeming to outshine him. And every single time he plays, I mean, he does nothing super spectacular. I mean, he is more of a grinded out running back, so he's gonna be somebody who can technically be a three down back. so he's a safe floor play, you know, for so for a lot of people who do want to draft him. but he's a really, really unspectacular fantasy asset when you have him on your team. You know what I mean? He's he's somebody who's good in the red zone, he's somebody who's good at those sort of You know, short yardage carries, but he is not somebody that you're relying on, especially where you're drafting him right now, which is kind of in that middle area, which we kind of just talked about with like Kenny Gainwell. Kenny Gainwell will probably be in the same exact area as a Chuba Hubbard. I'm I'm fading Chuba and I'm calling him a bus candidate because I do think that there is a distinct possibility that he is gonna get replaced in this offense sooner rather than later. Because if Jonathan Brooks can show Any bit of the promise that they had when they drafted him. I mean, Dave Canales really loves Jonathan Brooks as a player. He obviously was that was his first running back draftee. the second one he obviously had from this last year was Trevor Etienne. But if either of those guys develops and becomes what he's expecting out of his running back because Chuba was the guy that he sort of just absorbed. Undoubtedly they're gonna replace Chuba Hubbard and a majority of his touches because he just doesn't have that much to his game. He's not a receiving threat. as you're seeing here, I mean he's solid in sort of the short yardage stuff, and he obviously had a couple of touchdowns this last year. but those are all short yardage plays. Nothing was you know, he wasn't scampering out and grabbing you forty yards after the catch. and on top of that, this is an offense that is gonna be looking to improve this year. Nolan: Mm-hmm. KayOhKnee: But he's not gonna be a guy that's gonna be heavily involved in that offense. Dave Canales has already come out and talked about how much he really likes Jonathan Brooks, the side to side movement, all of that sort of stuff. Is his his ability to res to receive out of the backfield? There's just a lot more I wanna say dynamism, but that's not a word. Is that a word? Dynamism? There's a lot more dynam dynamic dynamism. Is dynamism a word? Nolan: Dynamicism? I don't know. Business major, psychology major. We didn't do literacy, guys. Come on. KayOhKnee: Pat that sounds human. I was like, all right, anyway, so there's more dynam dynamicism. Anyway, he's a lot more dynamic is what I was trying to get at here. so I mean just all all things pointing to all things are pointing to this being more of a Jonathan Brooks friendly team game. Nolan: The nim's the name is We just lost all credibility. KayOhKnee: team and I'm really, really excited to see him sort of take over Chuba Hubbard's role. I mean, I think we're already at the tail end of Chuba Hubbard's big extension deal. So, you know, all things told, looking for Chuba Hubbard to really, really fall down the rankings here. But Nolan, thoughts, opinions on him? Nolan: No, I agree. And if they they are if all what we're hearing is true about Jonathan Brooks finally, you know, emerging from his cocoon of injuries, if this is the tile tail end of his extension, I can see him being phased out of the whole thing. You know, and they're probably gonna go run with the the young gun Jonathan Brooks, especially if he's holding up his side of the deal. KayOhKnee: Yeah. Nolan: And I believe Jonathan Brooks is on his last year of a rookie contract, which means if they like what they see, they can technically re-sign him next season for a lot cheaper because he didn't really perform for them the first two seasons. and I think that's gonna be something that the business side of it probably looks at as the season progresses. KayOhKnee: Yeah, I like that take. I was like some extra added nuggets for you there. But anyway, let's move over to the wide receiver position and our consensus rankings. We have at the very top of the consensus rankings Rome Adunze, followed by Carnell Tate, Christian Watson, Devontae Adams, Marvin Harrison Jr., DJ Moore, Michael Wilson, Alec Pierce, DK Metcalf, Wandell Robinson, Michael Pittman Jr., and Cortland Sutton. Nolan, anybody here who is interesting or you know, stands out to you from the movement? Nolan: You know who stands out. I'm sorry, Michael Wilson. I really hope that you know what, I really hope that that we're completely wrong about what's about to transpire in Arizona. So that that's all I gotta say about that. KayOhKnee: I know. We are. yeah, you know, it's funny because I feel like one of the ones that really stands out to me here is Devontae Adams because I'm not gonna be talking about him. He's not on my boomer bust candidate list, but he's yeah, and I I'm at that point where I'm like, if he falls to where we have him, great, great value. But where he's being currently drafted, that's that's too high to me. So Nolan: Ha But his ADP is very high. Yes, yes. KayOhKnee: I mean, you know what I mean? Like I I he's one of those guys that I'm it's super polarizing. A lot of people are like, but last year I'm like, Yeah, but touchdowns, you know what I mean? So anyway, let's move over to your boom candidate for the wide receiver threes. Nolan, who do you have? Nolan: My boom candidate is Christian Watson. came in a little late to the season because he was recovering recovering from ACL surgery, but immediately made an impact when he started. I think it was late October is when he finally came in. so he did play, I think, a total of ten games for regular season. and he was definitely the the target hog. Like I think I think Jordan Love completely wants him on the field every single route. So I do think he's gonna try to find him more and more. overall, like I don't think he averaged lower than about six targets a game once it once he kinda got the full workload in. So I do think that this is gonna be another big play for for the Green Bay Packers, just given how the situation is over there. They got rid of Romeo Dobbs, so now it's kind of clearing the way for Christian Watson to kind of take that number one seat back. even though he he was already the pseudo-one the whole time. I do think that this is gonna be a big season for him, averaging or not averaging, totaling 600 yards on only 10 games played as a wide receiver coming back from ACL surgery. Now he's got a full season of healthy training, off season, relaxing, resting, being better in every way he can. This is going to be Jordan Love's favorite target. I think that this is going to be a huge season for him, especially where we currently have him in our consensus. He could be a big steal. KayOhKnee: Yeah, I don't disagree at all. I was like Christian Watson is undoubtedly gonna be somebody that if he could just stay healthy, man, that's that's like the main thing. Like that's that's always been a shtick. That's been his like shtick since he came into the league. I mean he's has he's always had the talent. It's just it's always been is he gonna be on the field? And now that he has a clear runway with sort of all of his, you know, other weapons being moved throughout this offseason, I mean Nolan: Yeah. KayOhKnee: This is his prove it year. So I mean they did just sign him to a big extension, undoubtedly as a wide receiver one guy. So he should Be able to take the reins from here on out. We'll see if that that carries over into this year. but anyway, my boom candidate for the wide receiver threes is Wandell Robinson. he's somebody that both of us have been very, very high on throughout all of training camp and you know the offseason. he set the record for shortest NFL player with a thousand yards last year, which I which I did not know. That's something super random, random fact that I found out about last year. he also Nolan: Mm-hmm. That's something to hang your hat on. Okay. Okay. KayOhKnee: I know. I was like, yeah, I mean a thousand yards, you know what I mean? I mean if you're looking here, he had a thousand and fourteen yards, ninety-two receptions, and a hundred and forty targets from this last year. So I mean, somebody who was, you know, pretty efficient in his target to catch ratio. he led the NFL in receiving yards out of the slot position in this breakout season for him this last year. I mean, it was a great year for Wandale. and, you know, it it would have seemingly seemed like a step down for him to move from one team to another team. but he ends up going to Tennessee where he will now be reunited with Brian Dayball. And Brian Dayball loves Wandale. I mean that's his favorite player to target. he calls f plays for him. I mean for this last year he called nearly twenty seven percent of his plays for Wandale Robinson, which is a huge chunk. I mean for him to call a fourth of his plays strictly for one player, that's that's a lot. I mean Nolan: Yeah. KayOhKnee: Yeah, that's a lot a lot. So anyway, he has become a favorite target of Cam Ward during training camp. and that is something that is really, really good because his current A dot is around eight and a half to nine yards, and that is Cam Ward's sweet spot. That little mid area sort of, you know, not super super far, crossing routes, a lot of that stuff. That's Cam Ward's bread and butter. And of last year we didn't get to see him utilize that too much because this offensive line was kind of, you know. Nolan: Crossing routes. Duty. KayOhKnee: Terrible. but near the end of the year, that offensive line did improve tremendously. they went from 30th ranked line to number nine in pass block efficiency. So this was partly because of health, partly because of just improved chemistry throughout the year. Dan Moore Jr. specifically, somebody who the Pittsburgh Steelers did have at one point. and they did steal away and you know sign to this big contract. Up until, you know, this last, you know, the last sort of tail end of last year, wasn't really, you know, showing that he was worth that contract, but then he had himself a fantastic end to the year, which is why between that and the fact that they have JC Latham, their other, you know, solid tackle that they drafted a couple of years back, and then this just improved chemistry throughout the entire line, plus some added depth pieces throughout this offseason. This will be a team that undoubtedly has improvement just about everywhere. And Wanda Robinson is gonna be a large part of that. he's gonna be somebody that Cam Ward's gonna be favoring in this offense. Brian Dayball's undoubtedly gonna be drawing up plays for him. There's already already been a lot of talks about him being the undoubted slot receiver for this team. with Carnell Tate likely being the X and then Calvin Ridley probably being the sort of Z in this or excuse me, the Y in this whole thing. We'll see. Nolan: Mm-hmm. KayOhKnee: You know what I mean? you know, this is all just training camp stuff, but I just this is undoubtedly gonna be a great season for Wandale and especially if you're in PPR formats, he's gonna be somebody who's gonna be getting a lot of receptions for a young QB who, you know, probably won't have the time to make a lot of those, you know, deep long yard plays. So anyway, Nolan, any thoughts, opinions on Wandale Robinson? Nolan: No, I'm with you. I think especially where we b have them both currently right now, I think that the tough decision is just gonna be am I taking Wandale first or am I taking Carnell Tate first? And I think that that's just gonna be something we have to keep an eye on. I think both are great options, especially for Cam Ward. But I am it's it's kinda like that coin flip. Who's gonna be the one that really is the top dog on that team? but Wandale Robinson is not a bad choice at all. KayOhKnee: Yeah. Yep. anyway, let's move over to your bus candidate for wide receiver three. Nolan: Fortunately, it is Alec Pierce. you know, we I'm not doubting his talent. I'm not doubting, you know, what he can do. He deserved the contract that he got. but there's I don't like the Colts right now. You know, there's there's some things like there was there's some clips of Anthony Richardson throwing perfect spiral passes five yards out. I'm like, okay. KayOhKnee: I think Nolan doesn't like the colds. No. Yeah, Tyler Warren has a boss too, huh? Yeah. Yeah. Nolan: I I think I did, yeah. Yeah. I'm sorry. I I've you're s you're catching the theme here. I could be proved completely wrong when the season starts. But overall KayOhKnee: Yeah. Did you have J T as a bust? I think you did. You had J T, Tyler Warren and Alan Pierce all as a bust this year. Nolan: You know why though. You know why. but it's it's also because no, no, I know. no, but I also it's also because of his ankle cleanup surgery, in order to remove scar tissue. That's another big thing because this is valuable time that they could be, you know, getting reps with each other for whoever is gonna be the quarterback when it comes to week one. if it is Anthony Richardson, he averages between 15 to 20 percent target share with Anthony Richardson at center. KayOhKnee: I I don't agree with you, so no, I don't know. Yeah, yeah. Nolan: That's not fantastic for someone that you're looking at possibly being like the new wide receiver one for a team. and I do think that this is gonna be very difficult to kind of determine, especially since we can't see him on the field right now. this could be also an injury not an injury, but the the surgery itself could be something that lends to lingering stiffness, you know, week to week looking at if he's gonna be available for the game. You know, you probably won't get the reports until Friday. morning and to find out if he's gonna play for that week. that's just not something that I want to deal with, especially with someone who may have volatile season production given who's gonna be his quarterback. that's the reason why I have him as my best candidate. KayOhKnee: Yeah. I was like I I don't disagree with your your statements on his sort of situation that he's in. he's somebody that you know obviously is kinda near and dear to my heart because it was sort of a late season boom for me. and he's somebody that I'm probably still gonna have stock in as far as like drafting, especially if he keeps sliding down rankings and all that sort of stuff. I did see that report about like had he gotten his Well, he played on his injury, first and foremost. He ended the year playing on his injury. and they kind of stated that if he had just gotten it when he initially injured it, he would have been probably in training camp already. which is sort of a sad situation because, you know, he was trying to get paid this off season, so he had to keep playing through it to get that money, you know what I mean? Otherwise he would have got a much lower offer because those last like s whatever three or four games probably were the ones that really sealed the deal for him. But and I believe they were still trying to fight for a playoff spot at the time. So hoping that Daniel Jones could recover from his his injury super super quick for some reason. But anyway, yeah. undoubtedly somebody who's gonna be kind of like a polarizing player for a lot of people. But moving over to my bus candidate for this wide receiver three group, it is Rome Adunze. Rome Adunze. yeah, Roma Dunze. You know, he finished as wide receiver 40 during his first year or during this last year and then wide receiver 45 the year before that. So a two-year career of not great finishes for Rome. you know, he kind of had the excuse of DJ Moore and you know Keenan Allen being there, but Keenan Allen sort of got faded out in his first year and then you know promptly released that year. and then DJ Moore. Sort of just never became the favorite target of Caleb Williams. he's a former first round pick, so most people always project him to have this really, really high ceiling. and I still believe that he does have that high ceiling. but he hasn't had a fully healthy season yet. And he has missed significant time learning this offense, which Ben Johnson has already commented on, saying that, you know, he feels like his he has this sort of limited run with learning the offense so he has Really a tough time picking up all of the offensive schemes because he's not really on the field as much to really learn everything. I mean, this offseason will be undoubtedly a very, very important one for him to see that he can learn Ben Johnson's offen offense because he's it's not an easy offense to pick up. You know what I mean? There's a lot of movement for Ben Johnson. on top of that, Luther Burden is a heavy favorite to earn more touches this year. for a couple of reasons. Obviously, you know, one of the first picks for Ben Johnson, Roman Dunze was not that guy for him. Nolan: Mm-hmm. KayOhKnee: I mean, seemingly stepping Rome is stepping into an ex-downfield stretcher role rather than a target heavy role, which seemingly is favoring Luther Burden again. on top of that, he also has the emergence of Colston Lovelin, who has become sort of, you know, another favorite for Caleb Williams. I mean, Ben Johnson, like Brian Dayball, heavily favors his slot receivers. So this is Nolan: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. KayOhKnee: Just a situation where it looks like he might just sort of play the same role that, you know, they're expecting a guy like Brian Thomas Junior to be playing, which is sort of just the X stretch to field guy. Where, you know, the lot of the plays are gonna be rich enough for Luther Burda and Colson Lovelin in sort of the short and bid field. So yeah, man. I mean, it's gonna be hard to trust him on a week to week basis. I mean, he's already shown that his downside is a wide receiver four, so Somebody who's being drafted as a wide receiver two in most drafts, you know, for us, he's slowly inching his way down for the wide receiver three status. But just not somebody that I'm I have heavy stock in, especially when you consider that there are other players on the same team who are are already outshining him. and just the way his and the way his role is and the fact that he has sort of lingering issues. he is a bigger receiver. He's like six three, two something. So I mean he's a big dude, so he's Nolan: Mm-hmm. KayOhKnee: gonna be the guy that they're gonna be relying on for like the contested catches, but as far as, you know, every down plays, not a lot's gonna be written up for Roma Dunze. So anyway, Nolan, thoughts, opinions on Rome? Nolan: Mm-hmm. No, I'm in agreement. I think we're we're all aboard the Luther Burden train and it does seem like the one that's go Okay. Alright. but it does seem like Roma Dunze. KayOhKnee: I'll add in the real one for you. Nolan: Please don't. yeah, I mean, it just it just seems like everything is steering away from Romadunze's game right now. I don't I'm not gonna say that he's not gonna be a viable option in fantasy, but I don't think where you're taking him, you're gonna get the production that you're expecting. Mm-hmm. KayOhKnee: Yeah, agree wholeheartedly. anyway, let's move over to the tight end consensus rankings here. for tight end threes we have at the top Mark Andrews, Hunter Henry, Kenyan Sadiq, George Kittle, Orande Gadston the second, Gunner Helm, T J Hawkinson, and David Njoku. Nolan, anything that surprises you from this group here that we have. Nolan: probably right now it's probably the Canyon City. just because we we're we're buying in huh? KayOhKnee: The Kenyan Sadiq, nice. You're calling him the Kenyan Sadiq. Nolan: I mean the movement up, sorry. The Kenyan Sadiq movement upward. Alright. Anyway. I think we're j we're I'm not saying that I'm going back on it, but we are throwing a lot of stake into KayOhKnee: He is the Kenyan Sadiq. Nolan: expecting him to be this this force now with the Jets. I think we're gonna have to kinda wait and see, especially. But that's the really the only surprising thing is cause we could both be completely wrong. It could still be Mason Taylor week one. but I I th I do think that this is something where especially 'cause you're probably looking at it as your second tight end, he this would be the right spot to take him. Like is the 19th tight end off the board. You wanna kinda take that little reach, hold on to him, see if what happens throughout the season. KayOhKnee: Mm-hmm. Nolan: if not you can always just flip out free agency waivers for another tight end. KayOhKnee: Yeah. I think the kind of surprising one for me is just that George Kittle is so high for the consensus ranking. I know I know he's a great player, but we don't even know if he's gonna play. You know what I mean? Like there's a reason why we have him as a negative nine here for our rankings considering where Fantasy Pros has him. We both faded him pretty far down the rankings. I mean this is one of those I I Nolan: Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Are we are we delusional people out there? Listen, are we delusional? Like like George Kittle is an explosive player and he injured the one thing that takes away his explosiveness. KayOhKnee: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I mean it's not it's see, even that, I'm not super worried about his recovery. It's just more the fact that you're gonna be drafting this guy super high to not even be playing for you. Like that's not a guy I really I mean, right now they have him in the rankings where like if you're in a league where you only draft one tight end, you know what mean? He's gonna be starting for you or the one tight end you draft. So I don't know. Just doesn't really make sense to me. But anyway, let's move over to your boom candidate for the tight end position. Nolan: Saying it, Chief. my boom candidate is Gunnar Helm. you know, I definitely bought into the train. I think last season you talked about him more and more as the season progressed, and I did kind of see especially what you were looking at. he had very unassuming numbers, right? But this is also because he had to share the field and share routes with Chico Konku. And now that Chico Konku is completely off the team. This is Gunnar Helm's position. This is him. Like I think he's gonna be there for a hundred percent of the routes. And I think that's a big part of where you're gonna see his numbers increase. because overall his numbers are not flashy. Obviously, he has three hundred and fifty-seven yards. That's not a lot. but he has a pretty high reception rate. So I think that's the biggest thing that you can kind of take on the head with this is that now that he's gonna have higher numbers to operate with, he's gonna get more productivity out of it for you as a fantasy owner. KayOhKnee: sorry. That was quicker quicker than I was expecting. it's okay. You could say it's 'cause it's tight ends. No, I'm just talking. Nolan: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Because it it's it's hard to it's hard to, you know, 'cause we're really we're just No, it's cause is we're hypothesizing about what he's gonna do based off of the lower numbers that he had last season, but that's not because he was bad, it's just because I don't even know if that's the right word, but you know what I mean. KayOhKnee: Hypothesizing, huh? Dynamicism. Anyway, we're here to talk Gunnar Helm. Yeah. I mean undoubtedly somebody that I agree wholeheartedly. Like I've I've had him Moving up my rankings and somebody that I have as a riser from, you know, all of the tight end stuff that's been coming out. It just doesn't really make sense when you have a tight end who is a very good receiving tight end that is now a tight end one on a team for like the experts to be fading him so far. he's slowly going up, but it feels like weird that we were ahead of that trend early on in the offseason because when somebody steps into Nolan: Mm-hmm. KayOhKnee: you know, tight end one, you just undoubtedly think that that's gonna be somebody that's gonna get a lot of receptions, especially on a team that's gonna be sort of figuring out who, you know, to throw to. And then Cam Ward on top of that has sort of been targeting Gunnerhelm a lot throughout training camp. Again, it's training camp. We'll see if that, you know, turns into anything more. But yeah, really, really like Gunnerhelm here. Really like that choice for you. Nolan: Yeah, yep. KayOhKnee: but yeah, un ironically, because you were talking about him already, my boom candidate for this is Kenyon Sadiq. I'm gonna be real honest. Yeah, it kind of came down to one, the sort of talent that was around him, and then two, sort of just my, you know, maybe you know, unfounded belief in Kenyon Sadiq as a talent. but yeah, I couldn't really pick anybody else that I really saw as somebody who was gonna really be. This feels like the safe. Nolan: Hey KayOhKnee: floor area. If I was going to pick somebody who's going to like really finish above this, that that's why I went with Kenny and Sadiq here. so I did agree with kind of what you were saying already about whether or not you know this was going to be a great pick for us and whether or not he is going to be that guy. But I mean he has tight end one upside. If the QB play can stay consistent, he has somebody who has undoubtedly had a connection with all of his tight ends in Geno Smith. Cade Klubnick had a strong offseason, but by all accounts Nolan: Mm-hmm. KayOhKnee: Geno Smith is still slated to be the starter. they've said nothing but good things about him since entering training camp. He's been somebody who has been a great leader for them. so they're gonna be relying heavily on Geno Smith, and it's really just his game until he falls off before they decide to you know call it quits and bring in Cade. on top of that, Kenneth Sadiq, man. As you're looking here, you see no statistics statistics, obviously, because he didn't play in the NFL yet. I mean this is a rare athletic freak of a kid. You know what I mean? he's a tight end with great size, six three. Yeah, exactly. Just look at the picture. Yeah. but yeah, he's he's he is a tight end with four three eight speed. that was his official clocked time at the combine. he has the ability yeah, exactly. Nolan: Dude looks like an absolute unit. Thought this was a running back at first. Jesus Christ. That is crazy. Jesus KayOhKnee: Yeah yeah. Six three four three eight. Yeah. Just just just put it at over there and look at those arms. But anyway, he has the ability to be used all over the field. I mean they used him in sort of running back stuff throughout his time in college, and that'll be something that I I would not be surprised if they throw him into some fullback stuff here. for this team, especially when you consider that he's probably gonna be like a really useful Toolsy type of guy to run alongside Brees Hall. I Brees Hall is undoubtedly the number one running back, so that's not going to be something that gets affected, but he's going to be a guy they're going to throw out there to sort of block and then maybe roll out and do all sorts of different stuff. So somebody that I'm really, really liking. On top of that, their new OC Frank Stike, or sorry. I I always want to say Frank Steichen, because that's what is the head coach for for Indianapolis? His name is actually Nolan: Mm-hmm. Chain styken. KayOhKnee: Shane Steichen, because I always get Nolan: Yeah. KayOhKnee: Frank Reich and Shane Steichen mixed up for some reason. But anyway, new OC Frank Reich utilizes a ton of 11 personnel, which means that both Mason Taylor and Kenyon Sadiq will be on the field often. but so far, out of training camp, everything that has been coming out, Kenyon Sadiq has been the guy that has been the go to receiver threat in those in those 11 personnel sets. Mason Taylor has been use utilized more in sort of just blocking stuff when it is 11 personnel. yeah, just a lot of things pointing toward they used a very high first round pick on Kenyon Sadiq. obviously he fell to them where they were at in the middle of the first round after that first initial pick, but just somebody that, you know, has tremendous upside. And every single year there's always somebody who ends up popping off that you know nobody was looking at. And I will Nolan: Mm-hmm. KayOhKnee: I'm gonna give myself a little bit of kudos here. You know, I for the last like two, three years or so have found those tight ends. I'm just saying, Candid Sadiq is gonna be the guy that I'm gonna be having some heavy stock in as far as a tight end that can pop off for you. Yeah, I hope I'm right too. Anyway, anyway, let's move over actually, Nolan, do you have any thoughts or opinions on Kennedy Sadiq as well? Nolan: Hope you're right. Mm-hmm. I mean I I think we already talked about it when you showed the list, right? We're lot of stock, lot of lot of investment in in this guy, and I'm hoping it all pans out exactly how we've been talking about it. That's insane. boy. no, but that's it, yeah. KayOhKnee: Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Four three eight speed, Nolan, four three eight speed. anyway, go ahead. sorry, yeah. Who is your best candidate for a tight end three? Nolan: bust. Now, my bus candidate is Ronde Gadsden. now the reason I have him as a bus candidate is not because I don't think he's gonna perform well, but now that Njoku is on the team I do think that Mike McDaniels is going to be playing around with you having them both on the field, which means it's going to be a little bit more of a split productivity for both of them. He was fantastic last year. He was kind of that hidden gem if you picked him up. most likely you didn't draft him. He was probably picked up off of waivers. Ronda Gatsden definitely took off. Six hundred and sixty-four yards. and that was I think he had a game of like a hundred and sixty yards. Like it was it was unheard of or something like that. but I don't think that we're gonna get the same Miranda Gaz than we had last year. Not because he doesn't perform well, it's just it's a little bit more of a crowded room. When you have Njoku on the team, you kinda wanna use him. Njoku definitely didn't get a fair shake last season. I d Just because of the circumstances and the how fanon kinda panned out for the Browns, it just wasn't looking good for him. I think this is gonna be another big year for or a return to form year for Njoku. not necessarily crazy tight end one numbers, but something where it's gonna overshadow Gads. my bad. You at you at Okay, okay. KayOhKnee: Agree. No, crazy tight end one numbers. No, I'm just kidding. Nolan: Yeah, yeah. I I just think that this is gonna be another s like it's gonna be something very similar to what we saw last year with Okonkwu and Helm where none of had huge flashy numbers, but they're both viable tight ends for the team in real life than it is for fantasy purposes. KayOhKnee: Yeah, I feel like similar to like my take with like the Los Angeles Rams tight ends in general, you know, this is gonna be a situation where it's like Do you really want any of them when you know that there's a possibility it could be the other one from week to week, you know what mean? Like that's that's where I'm at with this tight end room because even though I like both of the talents, it's gonna be rough to, you know, sort of trust any of them on the field at any point in time. So yeah, definitely a situation I'm gonna be avoiding, if I can for the tight end position. But and we were pretty high on both of them. Nolan: That yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. KayOhKnee: Especially like when there was like rumors that Njoku was gonna land like elsewhere. So yeah. I think even like when he was slated to land with the Titans, that was one of those ones where I was like mm and then now yeah, completely opposite way. Yeah, exactly. anyway, so I'm gonna move over to my bus candidate and that is Hunter Henry. yeah. He's a player that's expected to regress. I mean, if you look at his stats, he finished tight end seven. Nolan: Mm-hmm. No, now it's just sad violin music. And KayOhKnee: I mean had 148.8 fantasy points, 87 targets, 60 receptions, 12.8 yards per reception, 768 yards, seven touchdowns. Sounds like a guy who's undoubtedly going to be a tight end one next year again. No. Definitely not. he's gonna regress. I mean, he's he had a great season this last year. This was a breakout season for him with Drake May and the Patriots. This was obviously a, you know, a Super Bowl contending team, so they were they were doing a lot of things, but his S his uptick in performance, especially from where he was, you know, prior to this. I mean, his mean as far as like where he usually finishes for tight end stuff was much lower than this. You know what I mean? but it really just came on the backs back of just a bunch of injuries from last year. I mean, they had a lot of guys who were hurt, so he just undoubtedly became the number one when they needed him to. So Again, the situation isn't gonna be great for him this year. Stepping into this year, he the they obviously traded for AJ Brown, so that's number one guy who's gonna start taking away touches from him. then there's Romeo Dobbs, who's gonna be number two guy to be taking touches away from him from him. And then there's rookie Eli Raridon, who was drafted and is another guy who's expected to take targets away from Hunter. Mike Verbo will be utilizing eleven personnel sets. It's seemingly becoming more and more of a trend around the NFL in general. I mean We've seen the teams like the Pittsburgh Steelers have been utilizing it for many, many years. And now we're seeing more and more teams, you know, start to use that sort of like dual athletic tight end thing to kind of throw different looks out there for your teams. but yeah, I mean, all three of the guys that I mentioned already, they're all excelling. They all excel in the red zone, which is another reason why. I mean, we're gonna See, not only his, you know, regression from a reception standpoint, but we're also gonna see his regression from a red zone standpoint. So the touchdown equity is d undoubtedly going to go down. He's entering his age 32 season, which is just so old, you know? And since we're a couple of young whippersnappers on this podcast, Shh, quiet, Nolan. yeah. Shh Nolan: Yeah. Weren't you just complaining about your knees earlier? can hear them cracking from here. KayOhKnee: No. but yeah, he isn't likely to repeat the success of last season. from both a receiving standpoint and a touchdown standpoint. he's likely going to be super overvalued in drafts this year because of h his production from this last year. Somebody that I am one hundred percent fading and not trying to draft at all this year. So yeah. Nolan, thoughts, opinions, anything you wanna add to the Hunter Henry conversation or anything you wanna say before we bounce on out of this boomer bust tier. Nolan: Mm-hmm. No, I'm I'm in agreement. especially looking at a overall finish as a number seven tight end. if you're drafting him with that expectation, I agree you're gonna be sorely disappointed. And I d I don't think that's I don't think that's where we're gonna get Hunter Henry at the the end of the season. So KayOhKnee: yeah. I undoubtedly not going to be that guy for you this season. You're not that guy, pal. but anyway, I think that'll do it for tier three boomer bust. Thank you for making it through all of the technical difficulties this this I we're we're getting old. We're still figuring out technology. Things are you know, the the net is just you know what I mean? Yeah. Nolan: You're not that guy, pal. Yes.
