- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
- 0:03Epstein Chronicles. In this episode, we're going to pick up
- 0:06with the unknown Captain slash Guard and his interview with
- 0:10the OIG investigators. Question, Okay, can we go to the
- 0:15shoe count slips themselves? And that should be like the
- 0:18last page or two? Answer? See, yep, those are the
- 0:21inmates that went to the attorney visiting, So those three
- 0:25would have been on the count. Now you said where
- 0:28question the very last page, it's like the actual slip.
- 0:31Answer these question yep, So these are the slips that
- 0:35the actual shoe for the ones that are in the shoe,
- 0:38can you just put an initial buy it or circle
- 0:40or whatever which one it is that would have been
- 0:43conducted at the shoe. Answer okay, I think it's Zulu
- 0:48Bravo Zulu Alpha. Question So z A and zb are
- 0:53the two shoes. Answer yeah? Question all right, great, and
- 0:57are you able to tell me who are all on
- 0:59the slips? Answer it says s redacted and Tovin Noel
- 1:04and redacted and that would have been for four question.
- 1:10All right, answer for m redacted and toven Noel for
- 1:14the four count question. Okay, and now what's the difference
- 1:18between the ZB and the ZA. Answer. I believe that
- 1:22ZA is a total shoe. And then you had the
- 1:26inmates that were up on ten South. Question Okay, so
- 1:30the ZB is at ten South answer yeah, question, so
- 1:34we're focused on ZA. Answer yeah. Question all right, So
- 1:38z A and that one was signed by who? Answer?
- 1:41It looks like Noel and M redacted. Question Okay if
- 1:45that count wasn't actually conducted, as they are the only
- 1:48two that are responsible for falsifying that, or would it
- 1:51be other people? Answer? This would be the whole unit question,
- 1:56the whole unit answer the OIC, everybody was in the unit.
- 2:00Question Okay, answer, because that means on evening watch. I
- 2:04believe you have one, two, three, four staff and they
- 2:08have all different range that they have a responsibility of,
- 2:11you know what I'm saying. So they feed us, they
- 2:14feed the ranges, They monitor the ranges by doing the
- 2:17thirty minute rounds. So the OIC has the key. So
- 2:20those other three staff, the number two, the three, and
- 2:23the four, I believe they're supposed to do rounds, issue cosmetics,
- 2:28do whatever they need to do as far as the
- 2:30normal operations inside the unit. So if nobody counted that
- 2:33means who count who help assist in counting in tend
- 2:36South for the five guys, because I believe the lieutenants
- 2:39supposed to come up normally the activities will go up.
- 2:43I believe in do the count in Zulu bravo. So
- 2:45that means that one of the lieutenants would be up
- 2:48in the unit when the count was going on. Questions,
- 2:51So in this case a lieutenant should have actually been present.
- 2:54Answer yeah, question which lieutenant on that date? Would that
- 2:58have been? Answer? So that would have been so redacted
- 3:04probably took the count and then R redacted or misredacted
- 3:08redacted would have been in ten South doing the count
- 3:11in ten South, I believe if I can remember, it's
- 3:14been a while because it's only per their only one
- 3:19staff member of ten South. Question so misredacted should have
- 3:25been present for the count at four pm? Answer yeah,
- 3:29because I'm looking and you have ten South number one
- 3:32was Mason, and then you had ten South number two
- 3:35was redacted, So redacted probably was up there doing property.
- 3:40Question Now is this only for the four or should
- 3:43there have been a lieutenant as well as in the
- 3:45ten twelve, three and five? Answer so s redacted? The
- 3:52other guard jumps in what's the first damn on that one?
- 3:57Answer redacted? And then I'm looking in here, so ten
- 4:02South number two is redacted, which is the property officer.
- 4:06So during the time I was hiring redacted to go
- 4:09up there and get the property situated on the evening
- 4:11watch question, So is yes, redacted even working in the
- 4:15shoe at that point, I think he would have had
- 4:18the first he gets cut off by the guard, because
- 4:21you know that, because that would have been as redacted.
- 4:25Let me look at the day because I don't think
- 4:27he would have worked that because it said redacted is
- 4:30the number one question, and that's where I'm confused. I'm
- 4:34looking at some of these counts. Why would they even
- 4:36have he gets cut off by the guard as redacted
- 4:39was on overtime, so redacted was daywatch. So that means
- 4:42Mason probably came in late. So redacted probably did the
- 4:46count because Mason didn't get there, and now he was
- 4:49notorious for that. Mister Mason was a good guy, but
- 4:53he had some health problems and maybe he didn't get
- 4:56there on time. So redacted one on ahead and since
- 4:59the count started four, he probably went ahead and did
- 5:02the count. Question all right, and are you able to
- 5:05tell on that does this have a time for when
- 5:07the count was supposedly conducted? Answer, it's all of them
- 5:11going to reflect four question just four answer fur, It's
- 5:17not going to say four five, four oh four. The
- 5:19count is four. Question. Okay, So in this case, the
- 5:23one for the overall shoe that would have been you
- 5:26said it was that a indiscernible Are you just telling
- 5:30that for ten South? Answer overall shoe would have been
- 5:34Zulu Alpha. Question Yeah, and who was on that answer
- 5:39Noel and redacted questions so redacted redacted and Noel would
- 5:44have been the one that did the overall. But what
- 5:47you're saying is everyone if the overall count was not conducted,
- 5:50everyone was responsible. Answer yeah, question for falsifying that answer yep.
- 5:56Question because everyone would have known answer, they would have
- 6:00known question that it wasn't conducted. Answer that it wasn't conducted. Question. Now,
- 6:06is there any kind of like, hey, we fed them,
- 6:09that's how we did our account. Answer, no count. Because
- 6:12I put this guidance out the difference between doing rounds
- 6:15and accurate rounds. You know, we talked about the timeframe
- 6:18that goes between the thirty minute rounds. So like, let's
- 6:21just say it's eleven, you should do a round somewhere
- 6:24between eleven and eleven thirty. You understand question yep answer.
- 6:28If it's done at eleven twenty nine, that's fine, but
- 6:32you should be doing it within that thirty minutes because
- 6:34it has to be irregular. So you can put on
- 6:37there and say I did rounds at eleven and eleven
- 6:39thirty twelve, twelve thirty. You know you can't do it
- 6:43like that. So let's say you know you're feeding up there.
- 6:46You're up there feeding, but the round is not going
- 6:48to be because you're not monitoring. You're doing a service.
- 6:52Just because you're on the range. That means you did
- 6:54around around is physically stopping what you're doing. So if
- 6:58I'm feeding during the time it's the post I'm supposed
- 7:01to do around, secure the slot, I go to the
- 7:03beginning of the range one, two, five, seven, nine, eleven, whatever, whatever, whatever,
- 7:09document the time that I did the round, then go
- 7:11back to feeding. It's not while I'm up there, Okay,
- 7:14I'll feed the range. It took me seven minutes, seven
- 7:17point nine seconds to feed around, and so that's telling
- 7:21me that you did a regular round for an hour
- 7:23one hour because you was up there for forty five minutes? No,
- 7:27did you do around? Did you can I physically watch
- 7:31you go from cell to cell? That's around? Question? But
- 7:35what about so can around can't be account? But can
- 7:38account be around? Answer? No? Question? So every thirty minutes,
- 7:43if you're doing account at four pm, you also have
- 7:45to do around at four? Answer yep, because if I
- 7:49go up there at four. If I go, let's say
- 7:51I start at four at four, that's going to be
- 7:53the round. You understand what I'm saying. Because count, I'm
- 7:56taking accountability for the unit. So if it takes problem
- 8:00two or three minutes account, that would be four three.
- 8:04I count in that range. I go to the next range.
- 8:07I'm done at four O nine, four sixteen for twenty
- 8:10four twenty seven. Guess what between that thirty to five?
- 8:14I got to do another round in between that timeframe,
- 8:16not to exceed forty minutes. That's the policy question. Okay,
- 8:21do you know anything about the shoe not conducting rounds? Answer?
- 8:24Do I know of shoe not conducting rounds? Question? If
- 8:27the personnel in the shoe, do you know about anything
- 8:30about that? Of them? He gets cut off by the guard.
- 8:33I would never have known that the staff were not,
- 8:35because again that's not my purview to sit down there
- 8:39and monitor the rounds. Question. I just mean like, had
- 8:42anybody told you this, answer, No, I would have never known.
- 8:45Until after the Epstein thing. We had to monitor the
- 8:48camera footage of what the shoe staff did, and I
- 8:51was appalled to what they were doing on the off hours. Question. So, now,
- 8:56after the fact, are you aware if any of the
- 8:59counts working ducted or not conducted? Answer? I was not
- 9:02made aware of that. Then no account was conducted because
- 9:05I do not monitor a camera footage of the staff. Question. No,
- 9:09I'm saying after, I'm saying after the fact. Answer, Now
- 9:14I know, and I was. And again when I had
- 9:17to monitor the footage per the new directive that was
- 9:19put for the Central Office, and the captain would have
- 9:22to monitor x amount of hours of shoe footage per week.
- 9:26Even after we had the situation with Epstein, staff wasn't
- 9:29still doing it right. Question But in the what I'm
- 9:33asking is, in those instances, do you know if the
- 9:35four and ten and the five on these August ninth
- 9:38and tenth, do you he gets cut off? I would
- 9:41have thought that they would have been done, but do
- 9:44you know do you know if they were done or not? Answer?
- 9:47I was told that they were not conducted. Question four
- 9:49pm as well. Answer, I was told that the officers
- 9:52that were assigned to the morning watch shift did not
- 9:55do rounds from the time they walked into the unit
- 9:58until the time that they found inmate ep Stein deceased
- 10:00in the cell. Question that I think what you're referring
- 10:04to is August tenth, I'm saying August ninth. Answer August ninth.
- 10:10I would not have known that question No, No, now
- 10:13I'm talking about now. Answer now, I'm aware of it,
- 10:17because if the inmate didn't come back from court, how
- 10:19did you clear court? Question and did you know that
- 10:23prior to this conversation? Though? Have you ever he gets
- 10:26cut off by the guard. No question. So what I'm
- 10:30saying is you didn't You have never heard up until
- 10:33this date that it's possible that the four pm and
- 10:36ten pm counts were not conducted. Answer that is correct.
- 10:40Question all right, and no one's ever brought that to
- 10:43your attention. Answer that is correct. The other guard jumps in,
- 10:47did you what if I told you there was a
- 10:49memo written by Officer redacted stating that he told Officer
- 10:52redacted redacted end joiner that at one fifty pm on
- 10:56August ninth that inmate Reyis was going WAB and possibly
- 11:00not returning. Answer. Didn't know anything about that question, so
- 11:05no one made you aware of that answer? Note so
- 11:09one fifty if they knew that he was, like, I
- 11:10remember I told you that it comes out automatically from
- 11:13R and D. It says the X, Y and Z
- 11:15in made won't be a returning, so he needs to
- 11:18bring his belongings to court line. So if they knew
- 11:21he was WAB, who informed them? Because I bet you
- 11:24I can guarantee on that century paperwork that was generated
- 11:27that morning that night, so that would have been the
- 11:29seventh because it's generated on the seventh for the eighth, No,
- 11:33the eighth for the ninth. I know I didn't have
- 11:35WAB on it. Question Okay, So my question, what does
- 11:41WAB stand for? Answer with all belongings. So here's my
- 11:47question for you. If Officer adacted was aware of that,
- 11:51he would be made aware by who. Answer, he would
- 11:54be made aware by R and D staff. Question who
- 11:57was the R and D staff that day? Answer? Well,
- 12:00the only one I could because he's not on our roster.
- 12:02He's not correctional services. I can only go by this
- 12:06question and who is that? Answer? Miss Small? Question? Miss Small? Okay, answer,
- 12:12But I can tell you, miss Small, she works. I
- 12:13think her shift ended at ten, so that means she
- 12:17would have been there around two because I think she
- 12:19worked two to ten. I don't think on weekends. I
- 12:22don't think R and D staff stayed past ten past ten?
- 12:25You understand what I'm saying. So they didn't stay past ten? Question?
- 12:29So my question is if R and D knew, should
- 12:32the controlled document on the first page, should that have
- 12:35been updated? Answer? Yep, This E one, This E one
- 12:40should have been This is not a correct E one question.
- 12:43So the E one is wrong. So at what point
- 12:46or that point four pm count? What is that that
- 12:49last column? What does it say? Answer which one? Sir? Question?
- 12:55The one count? The one count shouldn't have shown one
- 12:57for the shoe? Answer right, because it would have said too.
- 13:01You know what I'm saying, because that means that the
- 13:04outcount for the shoe was Jeffrey Epstein. Question. If you
- 13:09look at it, it's the Epstein popping up on another
- 13:12column over there under attorney visit? Is he on there?
- 13:16On attorney visiting at check the first or second column?
- 13:21Is there a one that says attorney answer? Okay, No, Sarah,
- 13:24I don't see that question. Can I see it for
- 13:26a second answer? Oh, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I pointed
- 13:31to the first column and said it answer, okay, I'm sorry. Yes.
- 13:34It shows that there was a total a total of
- 13:37three inmates that was out at attorney and out at
- 13:40an attorney visiting during the four PM count question and
- 13:43one of them did one of those inmates belong to
- 13:45the shoe? Answer? One of those was Zula Alpha, And
- 13:50then at that point they also for Zulu Alpha. They're
- 13:53showing that one inmate was four is still on out count,
- 13:56which means possibly that it's mentioning efren Reyes. Then answer right.
- 14:03They should have been updated by then because they got
- 14:06the notification at one fifty that he's not coming back.
- 14:10Answer correct question, so that E one documents wrong answer right.
- 14:16All right, folks, we're gonna wrap up right here, and
- 14:18in the next episode dealing with the topic, we're gonna
- 14:20pick up where we left off. All the information that
- 14:24goes with this episode can be found in the description box.
