- 0:00Speaker 1: Some people like cockfighting. Who am I to judge? It's
- 0:02Speaker 1: one more thing.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Before we get to that. Off the top of your head.
- 0:10Speaker 2: What major League Baseball team has the best record in
- 0:13Speaker 2: all of baseball with roughly twenty games to go. Toronto, No,
- 0:22Speaker 2: by quite a bit. The Milwaukee Brewers. Oh really Yeah,
- 0:27Speaker 2: Toronto is a first place team. Yeah, but Milwaukee Brewer
- 0:32Speaker 2: NL Central, right, Yeah, the Brewers. Yeah, that's the Cubbies division.
- 0:36Speaker 2: I didn't know.
- 0:37Speaker 1: You know, I've drifted away from major League Baseball, and
- 0:39Speaker 1: I feel kind of bad about it, speaking of things
- 0:41Speaker 1: you watch and enjoy, and I am anti cockfighting.
- 0:43Speaker 2: That was just an attempt at humor. Yeah, I just
- 0:46Speaker 2: I don't really watch baseball anymore. Cubs are a playoff
- 0:50Speaker 2: team if the started today, though they're a wild card. Yeah.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Giants are close to hind Teat in the n L West. Right,
- 0:58Speaker 1: it doesn't matters. Was readily available.
- 1:02Speaker 2: I I don't like cockfighting. I wouldn't attend one a night,
- 1:06Speaker 2: but I don't care about chickens that much. Dog fighting
- 1:09Speaker 2: I find like disgustingly abhorrent. I want you locked away forever.
- 1:13Speaker 2: But yeah, chicken, you poll of abhorrent. Yeah, dog fighting
- 1:17Speaker 2: is way higher. Yeah, I would agree.
- 1:19Speaker 1: Uh So I'm talking about what people like and watch
- 1:24Speaker 1: and are into, and some of it mystifies me. But
- 1:28Speaker 1: I must be kind of understanding on this topic because
- 1:32Speaker 1: I watch other men play golf on television, I mean
- 1:36Speaker 1: for hours. So who am I to judge?
- 1:38Speaker 2: But I have a friend who went to a cock
- 1:40Speaker 2: fight one time, and I would go and I could
- 1:44Speaker 2: watch it. I wouldn't dig it, but I could go
- 1:47Speaker 2: and watch it. I couldn't attend a dogfight. Oh no,
- 1:50Speaker 2: he he. They they blindfolded him, drove him out in
- 1:55Speaker 2: the country because they didn't want him to even know
- 1:58Speaker 2: where it was. And he went out there and it
- 1:59Speaker 2: was like an arena. It was built out there in
- 2:01Speaker 2: the country, and it was a full on arena, and
- 2:03Speaker 2: I had a concession stand and everything like that, and
- 2:05Speaker 2: everybody gathered around and threw down money on the chickens
- 2:08Speaker 2: killing each other. So were there like stands, Yeah, like
- 2:12Speaker 2: illuminolecher stands. I'm picturreing bleachers.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Yeah, I'll be damned, never had the experience. I don't
- 2:18Speaker 1: want a bunch of guys of any ethnicity blindfolding me
- 2:23Speaker 1: and driving me out into the country, Thank you very much.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Either you know me well enough that you know you
- 2:30Speaker 1: don't have to, or you don't, in which case you're
- 2:34Speaker 1: noting blindfolding me and driving me out into the darkness.
- 2:37Speaker 2: That's an excellent point. Please Anyway, the four hundred and
- 2:42Speaker 2: seventy eighth season of Dancing with the Stars has been
- 2:46Speaker 2: announced every three and a half days the new season begins.
- 2:51Speaker 2: I did notice last couple of seasons, I haven't heard
- 2:54Speaker 2: this one. The last couple of seasons, they seem to
- 2:56Speaker 2: be running out of even dalist entertainers. They're down to
- 2:59Speaker 2: like entertainers.
- 3:02Speaker 1: Yeah, that was one of the recent you know, programs
- 3:06Speaker 1: of the Trump administration is to open up more levels
- 3:09Speaker 1: of minor celebrities because we've run out.
- 3:11Speaker 2: I feel like we might be famous enough to get
- 3:14Speaker 2: on Dancing with the Stars at this point.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Well, it has evolved in a way that is at
- 3:18Speaker 1: least slightly interesting. I'm looking at the list here and
- 3:21Speaker 1: the first person I don't know what order these are in,
- 3:23Speaker 1: but is social media star alex with an I earl.
- 3:29Speaker 2: Who could be huge and I wouldn't know it.
- 3:31Speaker 1: A hatty chick of something. God knows what brand of
- 3:35Speaker 1: internet hot chick she is, whether she doles out beauty
- 3:39Speaker 1: hints or sex advice or going to be a better
- 3:43Speaker 1: frontier wife or something.
- 3:45Speaker 2: Unless appetite for hot young hot chicks just beyond me. Yeah.
- 3:51Speaker 1: Wildlife conservationist Robert Irwin is a big deal among the youngsters,
- 3:57Speaker 1: the late Steve Irwins son O.
- 3:58Speaker 2: CATS's gonna ask at relative? Okay yeah, yeah, super handsome, charming.
- 4:03Speaker 2: He does the same gig as his dad, but with
- 4:05Speaker 2: the modern media twiss and has managed to stay alive.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Two different people from the secret Lives of Mormon wives.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Were they married to the same dude or others? My
- 4:17Speaker 1: daughter watches that some Oh really my youngest, the like superachiever,
- 4:23Speaker 1: law school daughter, that's her.
- 4:25Speaker 2: I need to turn off my brain. This is what
- 4:27Speaker 2: I'm watching.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Escape Yeah, Alec Alec, well known Mormon man Mitt Romney, Michael,
- 4:39Speaker 1: the judges will allow it. Also next up on the
- 4:42Speaker 1: list Alec Baldwin's faux Spaniard wife Hilaria. My god, when
- 4:48Speaker 1: I'm talking, you're not talking.
- 4:50Speaker 2: When I'm talking, you're not talking. They got like eleven kids,
- 4:53Speaker 2: and one of them just recently. How she got time
- 4:55Speaker 2: to go on Dancing with the Stars, plus.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Going back and forth to see her family in Spain,
- 5:01Speaker 1: of which there is none. Of course, she's from Boston anyway.
- 5:04Speaker 2: Yeah, she has hilarious Remember we had this clip. We
- 5:08Speaker 2: have very few ingredients. We have tomatoes, we have cucumbers, cucumbers.
- 5:15Speaker 2: It's not easy, and I think part of it is
- 5:16Speaker 2: that I'm in shape before I have a baby, and
- 5:18Speaker 2: then I stay active when I'm pregnant. God, stop it,
- 5:22Speaker 2: just shut up. How do you say in English?
- 5:27Speaker 1: Why asking me? He's your native language? There, Hilaria who
- 5:33Speaker 1: who her parents considered naming her Obnoxia Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Do you think Alec Baldwin is like still like in
- 5:45Speaker 2: love with her and everything like that, or is he
- 5:48Speaker 2: at the god what was I thinking stage of his life?
- 5:54Speaker 2: I have no idea. He certainly could be that though.
- 5:56Speaker 2: It's just like God, I was lonely, I was on
- 5:59Speaker 2: the rebound. She is and hod and I just but
- 6:01Speaker 2: you know, I'm we got eight kids, so let's write
- 6:04Speaker 2: it out. Yeah, I don't. I don't know.
- 6:06Speaker 1: I can't even guess. Nobody knows what's happening inside a
- 6:09Speaker 1: relationship they're not in. But of course he doesn't like her,
- 6:11Speaker 1: he'll shoot her. Oh lord, uh so Olympic gymnast star
- 6:16Speaker 1: of the Traders, Dylan Ephron.
- 6:19Speaker 2: Really the Traders? What is that? Somebody? Anybody? Uh? NBA
- 6:23Speaker 2: star Baron Davis and his beard, Foreign war Former Warriors
- 6:28Speaker 2: star knocked off the Dallas Mavericks when they are one
- 6:31Speaker 2: seed is on Dancing with the Stars. You ever watched
- 6:34Speaker 2: the show? I mean, like ever, ah boy, many years ago.
- 6:38Speaker 2: I watched a little of it. Yeah, yeah, I don't.
- 6:40Speaker 2: I don't care who dances better, but some people love it.
- 6:44Speaker 1: And again it's escapism. That's fine, you do you boy
- 6:47Speaker 1: meets world star Danielle Fischel, who I've never heard of.
- 6:51Speaker 1: I've heard of the show comedian Andy Richter.
- 6:56Speaker 2: It's a payday. I have become very very non judgmental
- 7:03Speaker 2: on what your particular choice is of mindless entertainment. Whether
- 7:08Speaker 2: it's a frivolous book, frivolous TV show, whatever, doesn't matter.
- 7:14Speaker 1: How about the amount rivolous entertainment? Are you still willing
- 7:18Speaker 1: to judge people on that?
- 7:19Speaker 2: Absolutely? And judge her? I thought you'd gone. So if
- 7:23Speaker 2: every night you come home and spend several hours on that,
- 7:26Speaker 2: I think there are better things you could do with
- 7:28Speaker 2: your life. Actor Corey Feldman molested by a former producer
- 7:33Speaker 2: way back in the day, right when he was a
- 7:36Speaker 2: young man. We've talked to Corey, Yeah, we have.
- 7:40Speaker 1: Yeah, one of the singers from Pentatonics, a fabulous a
- 7:44Speaker 1: capella vocal group, and somebody else I've never.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Heard of in my life and wouldn't remember their name.
- 7:48Speaker 2: Ten seconds and they and all they pair them up
- 7:51Speaker 2: with a professional dancer, right, Yes, and then you try
- 7:55Speaker 2: to learn a routine. I would like to try that once.
- 7:58Speaker 2: I've never tried to learn a dance rouine. I'm sure
- 8:00Speaker 2: I'd be horrible at it, but it'd be kind of
- 8:02Speaker 2: fun to try it once. Yeah, I've mentioned this before.
- 8:06Speaker 1: I was super into drama as a kid, like you know,
- 8:11Speaker 1: like not just in my private life, but doing plays
- 8:15Speaker 1: and musicals and that sort of thing. I may be
- 8:18Speaker 1: a bit of a drama queen, but no, I was
- 8:20Speaker 1: doing it intentionally the rescripts, and I was with all
- 8:23Speaker 1: do modesty, a very solid actor, pretty damn good singer.
- 8:28Speaker 1: And then it was time to learn choreography for the first.
- 8:31Speaker 2: Time in my life.
- 8:32Speaker 1: Whether I was twelve, thirteen, fourteen, something like that, and
- 8:34Speaker 1: I thought, Okay, this will be fun, and I sucked
- 8:37Speaker 1: at it. I sucked so bad. I was like borderline handicapped.
- 8:45Speaker 2: Like I like it would be like a dyslexic kid
- 8:49Speaker 2: trying to read Warren Peace. I just was utterly incapable
- 8:55Speaker 2: no matter how hard I tried of learning and memorizing
- 8:59Speaker 2: dead steps. I think I've never tried it at all,
- 9:01Speaker 2: not even a little bit. But I think I would
- 9:03Speaker 2: be like that too, which is interesting because like, if
- 9:05Speaker 2: you gave me kind of a beginner level music thing
- 9:08Speaker 2: on any instrument, I think I could learn it this weekend.
- 9:12Speaker 2: But I'm not sure I could learn the most basic
- 9:15Speaker 2: of dance steps. Oh no.
- 9:18Speaker 1: And people say, no, it's just about rhythm. If you
- 9:20Speaker 1: got rhythm, you can know, no, sir, I've got pretty
- 9:23Speaker 1: good rhythm, thank.
- 9:23Speaker 2: You very much. And they don't translate. They're different things.
- 9:25Speaker 2: I've learned that in recent years. They are different things,
- 9:29Speaker 2: which you can see by if you've ever seen my
- 9:32Speaker 2: best example of this, if you've ever seen Ringo Star dancing. Oh,
- 9:36Speaker 2: he looks like a guy with no rhythm. He was
- 9:38Speaker 2: the drummer for the freaking Beatles, right yeah, so they
- 9:43Speaker 2: don't go to get it's not rhythm. People always say
- 9:45Speaker 2: that he's got no rhythm. No, it's a different thing,
- 9:48Speaker 2: and I don't know what it is. Yeah, yeah, and
- 9:52Speaker 2: I'm so persuaded. I was so blown away and informed.
- 9:55Speaker 2: I had to dig more into this the idea that
- 9:57Speaker 2: there are.
- 9:58Speaker 1: At the time, they thought seven seven different kinds of intelligence,
- 10:02Speaker 1: and one of them that really caught my ear was
- 10:05Speaker 1: athletic intelligence. It is your brain communicating with your muscles
- 10:10Speaker 1: and limbs what they should do, and in many sports
- 10:15Speaker 1: in an incredibly short timeframe, that is neurological excellence. How
- 10:22Speaker 1: would you not describe that as a sort of intelligence?
- 10:25Speaker 1: And I thought, wow, that's a really good point. Musical
- 10:28Speaker 1: intelligence was another one of them, and just verbal intelligence,
- 10:32Speaker 1: mathematical blubba.
- 10:35Speaker 2: But yeah, the ability to dance is a particular part
- 10:39Speaker 2: of your brain. Has anybody ever studied that, I don't know.
- 10:43Speaker 2: When I worked at a nightclub as a DJ at
- 10:45Speaker 2: a nightclub and before it became a country nightclub, it
- 10:48Speaker 2: played like hip hop stuff and like that, and there
- 10:50Speaker 2: were guys that would come in there that just were
- 10:52Speaker 2: so naturally gifted at that it was amazing. I would
- 10:57Speaker 2: watch them as just like, he's just stunning. Isn't that
- 11:01Speaker 2: Like they took classes or anything like that they just
- 11:04Speaker 2: could do it.
- 11:06Speaker 1: And for the record, I don't disdain dancing at all.
- 11:08Speaker 1: If I could, I would. I'd love to be a good.
- 11:11Speaker 2: Dancer, especially when you're younger, because man, they every girl
- 11:14Speaker 2: danced with them because I wanted to dance with somebody.
- 11:16Speaker 2: You could dance right right?
- 11:21Speaker 1: Yeah, Well, we've got the electrodes hooked up to Joe
- 11:24Speaker 1: Getty's head. Now let's try to teach him a dance routine. Wow,
- 11:28Speaker 1: the same areas are lighting up as if he were
- 11:31Speaker 1: being stabbed by a group of thugs in an alley. Well,
- 11:34Speaker 1: then error and discuss. How do you memorize all those moves?
- 11:40Speaker 1: That's just actually amazing? You watch those because now a
- 11:43Speaker 1: lot of modern pop singers they all have a dance
- 11:45Speaker 1: trip behind him, j Low and everybody like that.
- 11:46Speaker 2: How do you memorize all that stuff? Incredible? Yeah? I know.
- 11:49Speaker 1: I wonder at that. It's like somebody pull vaulting eighteen
- 11:52Speaker 1: and a half feet. I look at that and think
- 11:55Speaker 1: that's miraculous.
- 11:55Speaker 2: Can you dance, Michael, Not at all? Not at all.
- 12:02Speaker 2: I wonder if there are characteristics that go along with that, right,
- 12:08Speaker 2: I mean the fact that all of us get along
- 12:10Speaker 2: so well I don't know, maybe it's just a coincidence.
- 12:12Speaker 1: But gay men, if Michael said, yeah, actually I'm a
- 12:15Speaker 1: gifted dancer, I had a scholarship too, so I wouldn't
- 12:18Speaker 1: think any more or less of them. And I think, wow,
- 12:20Speaker 1: that's really cool. That's actually I would think more of you,
- 12:22Speaker 1: Michael if you told me that.
- 12:23Speaker 2: But yeah, I don't know. I don't know.
- 12:26Speaker 1: It's mysterious and science, frankly has neglected this area of it.
- 12:32Speaker 2: Here's a question. I wish Katie was here for this.
- 12:33Speaker 2: Have you ever known a woman that couldn't dance that, like,
- 12:37Speaker 2: really couldn't. I haven't ever. That's why the Elaine bit
- 12:41Speaker 2: in Seinfeld was so funny. And gay men tend to
- 12:44Speaker 2: be able to dance, So there's something there, right, the
- 12:47Speaker 2: fact that all women can kind of dance in gay men.
- 12:50Speaker 1: All right, So if you're a woman who's a terrible
- 12:53Speaker 1: dancer or a gay dude who can't dance, a lick
- 12:55Speaker 1: a male bag at Armstrong Egeddy dot com, email.
- 12:58Speaker 2: Us to be hell. If you're a woman and you
- 13:01Speaker 2: can't dance, you think, yeah, I think you would stand
- 13:07Speaker 2: out among your friends when the wedding is happening and
- 13:11Speaker 2: everybody takes off their shoes and it's all the women
- 13:13Speaker 2: who run out there and they're dancing because none of
- 13:14Speaker 2: the dudes want to, and you can't because you can't dance. Yeah,
- 13:17Speaker 2: would suck.
- 13:18Speaker 1: Yeah, that's why you approach the gal who's not dancing,
- 13:21Speaker 1: say hey, you want to go have sex.
- 13:22Speaker 2: She's like, yeah, anything but sitting. I'd even do that
- 13:25Speaker 2: with you rather than dance. DA would say, well, I
- 13:30Speaker 2: guess that's it.
