- 0:11Speaker 2: Steve. It's so many things. I'm going to share something
- 0:16Speaker 2: with you all today. I wish I knew what I
- 0:20Speaker 2: know now way back when. I wish what I've discovered
- 0:27Speaker 2: lately I had discovered sooner. I'm almost mad at myself
- 0:33Speaker 2: because I had heard about it. I just never applied it.
- 0:38Speaker 2: I would apply it in pieces, but I never.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Was sustaining this as a practice. You know what it is, man?
- 0:48Speaker 2: What has been a complete and utter game changer for me?
- 0:52Speaker 1: Two things. Giving it completely over to God. Completely.
- 0:59Speaker 2: And trusting in his timing. I wish I had understood
- 1:03Speaker 2: this as a younger man. It would have saved me
- 1:08Speaker 2: so much misery. I just didn't, man. And I'm just
- 1:12Speaker 2: not truly getting it, y'all. And I'm just going to
- 1:14Speaker 2: admit that. I'm just truly getting it right now. And
- 1:18Speaker 2: it's such a great thing to be in possession of.
- 1:22Speaker 2: But I'm a little ticked off in myself. Because now
- 1:25Speaker 2: that I know how it really and truly operates. You
- 1:29Speaker 2: know how many times you hear stuff and you want
- 1:31Speaker 2: to say it back to people, but you don't really
- 1:33Speaker 2: apply it? You ever hear them tell people all the time, hey, look,
- 1:36Speaker 2: if you're going to worry about it, don't pray about it.
- 1:38Speaker 2: If you're going to pray about it, don't worry about it.
- 1:40Speaker 2: But you know good and well, you pray about stuff
- 1:42Speaker 2: all the time and then get right to worrying about it.
- 1:45Speaker 2: You do it all the time. I don't care who
- 1:46Speaker 2: you are. And then you worry about something, then you
- 1:49Speaker 2: pray about it, you get back to worrying about it.
- 1:51Speaker 2: Everybody does it. You know, practice what you preach. Failure
- 1:55Speaker 2: is a wonderful teacher. Stop saying try. Take try out
- 2:00Speaker 2: your vocabulary. A young man called in on closing remarks
- 2:04Speaker 2: on a phone call just this past week. And he
- 2:07Speaker 2: told me, he said, Steve, I learned this from you.
- 2:10Speaker 2: And I told him, I said, I'm going to try
- 2:12Speaker 2: to get down to 210. He said, man, you taught
- 2:16Speaker 2: me not to say try because.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Words is powerful.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Hey, man, stop saying you're going to try to get
- 2:22Speaker 2: to 210 and say you're going to be 210. And
- 2:25Speaker 2: I had to stop and say, hey, you know what, man,
- 2:27Speaker 2: he's right. Because no matter who you are, you need
- 2:29Speaker 2: reminding every now and then. So as a human, I
- 2:32Speaker 2: get it wrong all the time. But I wish I
- 2:35Speaker 2: had known how to turn it over to God and
- 2:39Speaker 2: then trust in his timing. I can't tell you how
- 2:44Speaker 2: that has changed my life. A 360. And I done
- 2:48Speaker 2: had some great things happen to me. So when I
- 2:50Speaker 2: tell you it done turned my life around 360, I'm
- 2:53Speaker 2: not talking about in possessions. I'm talking about in mental
- 2:58Speaker 2: clarity and peace. I now live in an uncommon peace.
- 3:04Speaker 2: And you know how I got this uncommon peace? Because
- 3:07Speaker 2: I turned it over to God.
- 3:08Speaker 1: I really have.
- 3:09Speaker 2: All y'all, listen to me clearly. All of y'all that
- 3:13Speaker 2: say hateful stuff about me, you can go right ahead.
- 3:17Speaker 2: And like that girl on the internet said, let me
- 3:22Speaker 2: put my glasses on to see if I care.
- 3:29Speaker 1: And she said, and I could give less than her.
- 3:32Speaker 1: I see clearly now. I'm there. I am completely there.
- 3:38Speaker 2: If you come to me with some bad news, if
- 3:41Speaker 2: you are somebody I'm under contract with and you come
- 3:44Speaker 2: to me with some horrific news, You know what I
- 3:47Speaker 2: do now?
- 3:48Speaker 1: That's cool. Ain't no problem.
- 3:50Speaker 2: God got me because I have a track record of
- 3:53Speaker 2: proof that he has always had me. Every time somebody
- 3:57Speaker 2: tried to take something from me, God replaced it with greater.
- 4:01Speaker 2: I am telling you because I have given it over
- 4:04Speaker 2: to him. I don't worry about the meetings that I
- 4:07Speaker 2: got coming. I don't worry about the negotiations I'm in.
- 4:10Speaker 2: I don't worry about it no more. I done gave
- 4:13Speaker 2: it to God. So when you come to me with
- 4:14Speaker 2: your decisions, It ain't really your decision. It's how God
- 4:19Speaker 2: is positioning me. And then trusting in his timing to sit, man,
- 4:25Speaker 2: and not worry about how it's going to go. And
- 4:28Speaker 2: to know that God, as his child, he has promised
- 4:32Speaker 2: that he has a great life for me, that he
- 4:34Speaker 2: is going to prosper me, that he has plans for me.
- 4:39Speaker 2: And to know that, man, I wish I had known that, y'all.
- 4:43Speaker 2: It would have saved me so much misery. Do you
- 4:47Speaker 2: know the stress I've put myself under during the grind
- 4:52Speaker 2: when I was always trying to get ahead of things
- 4:55Speaker 2: and anticipate things and prepare for things and control things?
- 5:00Speaker 2: Do you know how I've worn myself out with that
- 5:04Speaker 2: type of activity? I didn't even have to, man, because
- 5:08Speaker 2: you know what I was guilty of? I was taking
- 5:11Speaker 2: on burdens and I was carrying stuff that I was
- 5:14Speaker 2: not designed to carry. And you know the biggest thing
- 5:18Speaker 2: that I was carrying that I'm not designed to carry?
- 5:22Speaker 1: Tomorrow.
- 5:23Speaker 2: I had tomorrow all over me. Do you know you
- 5:26Speaker 2: are not designed for tomorrow? The Lord's prayer is clear.
- 5:31Speaker 2: Give us this day our daily bread. You just need
- 5:34Speaker 2: to get through today, y'all. Tomorrow, if you wear tomorrow, man,
- 5:38Speaker 2: you finna wear yourself out. I was in the wear
- 5:41Speaker 2: myself out business. Man, I wish I knew what I
- 5:43Speaker 2: knew today. I would have saved myself so much pain.
- 5:49Speaker 2: But having it now, I'm glad I got it. Because
- 5:53Speaker 2: he also said somewhere in the scripture, I don't know
- 5:55Speaker 2: where it is. Your latter years will be your greater years.
- 6:00Speaker 2: And I'm sitting here living proof. I am living proof
- 6:04Speaker 2: that my latter years has really and is becoming my
- 6:09Speaker 2: greater years. That's in the word, y'all.
- 6:13Speaker 1: The word.
- 6:13Speaker 2: I'm glad I lean on that boy because it's solid.
- 6:16Speaker 2: God's words and promises, all his promises is true.
- 6:20Speaker 1: I'm just glad I got here. I just wish I
- 6:22Speaker 1: had got here sooner. Kind of mad at myself a
- 6:24Speaker 1: little bit, too. Kind of mad at myself. But better
- 6:29Speaker 1: to have it than to never have gotten it. So
- 6:31Speaker 1: I got it now. Hope y'all can get it. Talk
