  Really enjoyed it. Obviously the certain pick I

  thought was the turning point in the football game for for a

  number of reasons a the injury and it, it just seemed like to

  me watching it, the the Green Bears both step on their throats

  and obviously it didn't happen. And it goes Denver's way as

  Watson gets hurt, but not the only injury.

  Maybe that's your biggest take away or one of your bigger
• 1:12
  takeaways from last Sunday in Denver.

  Just how costly it was, not only in the standings, but certainly
• 1:18
  on the depth chart. Oh yeah, with a bullet, you
• 1:21
  could say that, you know, losing both Christian Watson and Zach
• 1:24
  Tom there in the second quarter, you know, they had 250 yards of
• 1:27
  offense in the first half and obviously nothing like that once
• 1:30
  those guys exited the stage left for the second-half.
• 1:34
  And you know, Michael Parsons and Evan Williams both go down
• 1:37
  on the same play. You know, Evan Williams is kind
• 1:40
  of a sneaky loss. He was really fantastic in that
• 1:43
  first Bears game in run support, making sure that those guys
• 1:47
  didn't bust anything longer than 9 yards.
• 1:50
  He sprained his MCL on the same play.
• 1:52
  So yeah, just a real costly loss injury wise.
• 1:55
  And you know, as a fan, as a as a guy that follows teams, that's
• 1:58
  the one thing you hope you can avoid.

  It would be as as the healthy as possible of the stretch run to
• 2:04
  give yourself the chance, and Green Bay's got some work to do.

  Christian Watson, we talked about him the last couple of
• 2:10
  weeks, just the emergence that he has had.

  He's dealing with a chest slash shoulder injury at this point.
• 2:17
  Lafleur said yesterday that it was encouraging that he was back
• 2:19
  out there practicing. It'll come down to a medical
• 2:22
  decision. I don't know, just the
• 2:23
  terminology struck me as a little bit odd.
• 2:25
  Did you hear it that way? What do you take of Christian
• 2:27
  Watson? Yeah, I think they want to keep
• 2:30
  the cards close to their chest. There's no reason to talk about
• 2:33
  it before Saturday. I think of the four key guys
• 2:35
  that got hurt last week, he's probably the one guy that has
• 2:38
  the best chance to play this week.
• 2:40
  And you know, yes, it's really important to have Christian
• 2:43
  Watson for this Packers offense. But if that right tackle spots
• 2:46
  not cleaned up, I understand the Bears are not a great pass rush
• 2:49
  team like like Denver is. But that's a big loss losing
• 2:53
  that big right tackle best lineman on the team.
• 2:55
  And Darren Canard stepped in last week and was not ready for
• 2:58
  action. Maybe A and we could practice.
• 3:00
  We'll help. But yeah, certainly big picture,
• 3:02
  having Christian Watson for these last few games and
• 3:05
  hopefully the post season is critical to where this offense
• 3:08
  wants to go. And hey, Josh Jacobs hasn't
• 3:10
  practiced all week either. He'll probably try to go, but I
• 3:14
  doubt we'll get the best version of him on Saturday night either.
• 3:17
  So I obviously had the long run for a touchdown that came right
• 3:21
  after Riley Moss got called for pass interference.
• 3:24
  I did not see the injury, Dave. What happened to Jacobs?
• 3:27
  Is this something that he took into this football game and
• 3:30
  aggravated because I didn't see the injury.
• 3:33
  And you're right. I mean, I don't think you'll be
• 3:34
  anywhere close on Saturday night to being 100%.
• 3:38
  Yeah, Kenny's been dealing with a knee injury for a number of
• 3:41
  weeks. It was around Thanksgiving time
• 3:43
  that I think he initially injured it.
• 3:45
  They've been really careful with him practicing.
• 3:48
  And, you know, I didn't have any idea that he would play last
• 3:51
  week. I thought that was kind of a
• 3:52
  surprise that he would go. And, you know, he's a warrior.
• 3:55
  He doesn't like to miss time. And obviously couple of
• 3:58
  touchdowns, a great touch, touchdown catch.
• 4:00
  You know, he seems to be able to tune out the pain once he's out
• 4:02
  there, but it really swells up. It's nothing structural.
• 4:05
  They've done all the testing. It's just a it swells up on him.
• 4:09
  It's really painful and it's something he's trying to manage.
• 4:12
  Probably he'll have to deal with the rest of the.
• 4:14
  Season, you know, you mentioned the touchdown catch, that that
• 4:16
  A, the throw, B the catch and Greenlaw was right there to make
• 4:21
  a play. I mean, it was a perfectly
• 4:23
  thrown football. In just the second touchdown
• 4:26
  catch of his career. You know, it's just, it's, it's
• 4:28
  amazing. He does have some nice receiving
• 4:30
  chops. I think they need to incorporate
• 4:32
  that more into the game once he's 100%.
• 4:35
  So with the injury to Parsons, this is a team that is ranked
• 4:38
  5th in defence in total yards in the NFL.
• 4:40
  Eighth against the run, eighth against the pass, 8th in points
• 4:43
  allowed. But you anticipate they are
• 4:46
  going to look different. Does this lead to the
• 4:47
  speculation or the thought that they're going to have to open it
• 4:51
  up even more, that they're going to put even more on Jordan Love
• 4:53
  and the offensive shoulders and saying we know there might be a
• 4:57
  certain path to victory here and it's likely going to have to be
• 4:59
  more 2723 type of games as opposed to 2017.

  Do you do you expect to see more and asking more out of this
• 5:06
  offense now? Yeah, Trent, I do.
• 5:09
  I think so. I think they can't expect to
• 5:11
  shut teams down without the closer out there.
• 5:13
  And look, it was a top five defense a year ago.

  They're not going to completely fall off the map.
• 5:18
  I do believe a lot in Jeff happily, I think he's a
• 5:20
  brilliant defensive coordinator. I think he'll make some
• 5:23
  adjustments. I think you'll see more blitzing
• 5:26
  else I think they're going to unleash Clay Walker and Edger
• 5:28
  Cooper more to go after the quarterback and do some of the
• 5:31
  stuff they were doing last year that didn't really need to do
• 5:34
  with Michael Parsons on the field.
• 5:35
  So, you know, again, not having Kevin Williams definitely hurts
• 5:39
  and we'll see if Javon Bullard steps in at safety or if they
• 5:42
  decide to leave Bullard in the slot and put special teams guys,
• 5:46
  Zane Anderson in. I'm worried about the back end a
• 5:48
  little bit. But yes, I do think there's more
• 5:51
  on the offenses plate. They're going to have to score
• 5:53
  more points, no question about it.
• 5:55
  I do think Love's up to the challenge.
• 5:57
  I just really need those front five guys to be healthy in front
• 6:00
  of them. You know, a couple of Packers
• 6:01
  really caught my eye in addition to Love who throws off his back
• 6:04
  foot as accurately as I've ever seen anybody do.
• 6:06
  So just blows me away on offense.

  I I thought your first round pick, Matthew Golden was real a
• 6:12
  real problem. I don't know if he was just, you
• 6:14
  know, more figured more into the offense after Watson went down
• 6:17
  or what. Maybe you can help us out there
• 6:19
  because he looks like he's, you know, the light bulb, that
• 6:21
  proverbial light bulb was going on.
• 6:23
  And then Xavier McKinney, that ball, he came all the way across
• 6:27
  the field, thought he was going to get it, thought Denver was
• 6:30
  going to score it first. And then here comes McKinney out
• 6:32
  of nowhere. McKinney, I thought was
• 6:34
  terrific. And then Golden, seemingly
• 6:36
  coming alive at the right time. Yeah, both those guys were
• 6:39
  really good. You know, McKinney probably had,
• 6:41
  what, 234 chances of interceptions Sunday?
• 6:44
  Didn't get any of them. That that really was the
• 6:46
  difference. I think at the end there.
• 6:49
  Matthew Goldman's been dealing with shoulder injury, a wrist
• 6:52
  injury. He seems to finally, if he
• 6:53
  gotten past all that, they've been really careful with his
• 6:55
  snaps. He's getting 6 to 10 snaps most
• 6:58
  weeks when he's playing. He got 20, I believe, against
• 7:01
  Denver. And I do think you're going to
• 7:03
  see him become a bigger part of this offense now.
• 7:05
  Again, if they have to rely on more the offense, maybe there's
• 7:08
  some some packages that Lafleur has been holding back waiting
• 7:11
  for Golden to understand the offense, put more on his plate,
• 7:14
  you know, with him, with Reed, with Watson, you know, obviously
• 7:18
  no craft. They're looking for new guys to
• 7:21
  step up. And I do think remember last
• 7:23
  year at Texas, Golden really never showed himself till
• 7:25
  November. Kind of feel like maybe Golden
• 7:28
  might save some of his best moments here down the stretch
• 7:31
  where the games mean a lot. Means a lot.
• 7:33
  Saturday night division supremacy on the line.
• 7:36
  It's in Chicago. We saw this game just a couple
• 7:38
  of weeks back. It'll be thirteen day difference
• 7:40
  between the last time these teams faced off.

  Awful start of the game for Chicago came roaring back into
• 7:45
  second. Let's start right here.

  What does concern you the most when you look at the Chicago
• 7:49
  team? Well, I think it's going to be
• 7:52
  the running game again against the Packers defense.

  I keep harping on Evan Williams. He's just so key in rug support
• 7:57
  and I don't know what that run defense looks like without him
• 8:01
  out there. So, yeah, I feel like on a cold
• 8:04
  night in Chicago, they're going to rely on those running backs
• 8:07
  as much as they can. I want to see if the Packers run
• 8:09
  defense is up to the challenge like it was a couple weeks ago.

  And, you know, again, Green Bay said a lot of success in that
• 8:17
  stadium, as you as you guys know.
• 8:19
  And whether it's Lafleur, whether it's Love or it's
• 8:21
  Rogers, it seems like things tend to go their way in Chicago.

  Last year was the block field call at the end of the game.
• 8:28
  I'm hoping game is, you know, in the fourth quarter.

  It's in doubt. I think it's going to go down to
• 8:32
  the wire. I was stunned the Packers were
• 8:34
  favored earlier in the week. I know that's but a little bit
• 8:36
  to the Chicago side. I feel like the bears should be
• 8:39
  about a three-point favorite in this game.

  I I guess I'll be surprised if Green Bay can make it two wins
• 8:44
  out of three weeks over the bears team that, you know, in a
• 8:47
  game last week where they could have maybe taken the foot off
• 8:50
  the gas. They did anything.
• 8:51
  But I think they know they can prove a lot to the NFL into the
• 8:55
  NFL world by beating the Packers in prime time at home Saturday
• 8:58
  night. So Green Bay's got to tone down
• 9:01
  the penalties like they had last week, can't turn the ball over
• 9:04
  and take advantage of opportunities that Caleb
• 9:06
  Williams might give them when they arise.
• 9:09
  So help me out with this, David, I'm just going to get your gauge
• 9:13
  how you feel about, you know, the playoff possibilities.

  Let's say it does go Chicago's way on Saturday night.

  Then they host the Ravens, which will be the final home game of
• 9:22
  the year at Lambeau. And that game is that game's
• 9:25
  been flexed a Saturday. I want to say it has the 27th

  before we finish it the the Vikings.

  You've got the tiebreaker over all the Lions as you beat them
• 9:32
  both games this year. You still feel pretty good right
• 9:36
  where the where the Packers are at as far as their chances to
• 9:39
  qualify for the playoffs, even if it is a seventh seed.

  Yeah, I think so. I mean, interesting thing to

  watch this week. If if Baltimore wins at home
• 9:47
  Sunday night against New England and Pittsburgh loses at Detroit,
• 9:52
  then the game next week for the Ravens is going to mean

  absolutely. Nothing.

  They probably don't. Even play Lamar Jackson because
• 9:57
  it'll all come down to Week 18. So that's a very light.

  I know there's two favorites, you know, Baltimore's favorite,

  Detroit's favorite. So if it goes down that way,

  then suddenly the game at Lambeau looks like it might be a

  rather easy one. Then it will come down to

  Minnesota and you know, again, they're putting guys on ice now
• 10:13
  Mattelas and Granard are done for the year.

  They're going to want nothing more than to knock out the
• 10:18
  Packers. So I, I'm not saying it's going
• 10:20
  to be easy week 18, but half that team is going to be looking
• 10:23
  at their Cancun plans. So yeah, I, I feel good about
• 10:27
  Green Bay's chances. They're still over 90% and if
• 10:30
  they win Saturday night, there's a very clear path still to the
• 10:34
  number two seed for Green Bay. They need very few things to
• 10:36
  happen if they went out. So yeah, there's, there's lots
• 10:40
  to unpack, but I I feel really confident that Green Bay's not
• 10:43
  going to lose their invitation to the dance at this point.

  Hopefully not another Love Boat situation if they make their way
• 10:49
  down to Cancun. For Vikings fans that are out
• 10:52
  there, Hey, Speaking of the Vikings, you're in Minneapolis,

  you're on K fan JJ McCarthy. What we've seen out of him

  recently, are you believing that there's a Turner being turned,

  that 1/4 being turned, that there's actual hope at the
• 11:06
  quarterback position for the Vikings?

  Well, I think there's always hope.

  You'd never write off a guy after 567 starts.

  I think, you know, there's so much pressure because of the

  team around him and the expectations turn the corner.

  I'm not ready to go quite there yet.

  You know, Washington and Dallas, you can't find two more

  supplicant defenses to face as you're trying to turn your

  career around and those two. So I think we'll learn more from

  McCarthy, you know, in New York on the road.

  I think that's going to be a tough spot actually against that

  front 4. Then he's got Detroit and Green
• 11:36
  Bay. So if he can stack good

  performances together, I think everybody will calm down a

  little bit. But regardless of how the season

  ends, I am quite certain that Minnesota will bring in a

  veteran quarterback to push him to compete with him to make sure
• 11:51
  they've got that position under wraps for next season.

  But yeah, I think there has to be reason for hope.

  He's played very well the last two weeks, including a big prime
• 11:59
  time Rd. game. So yeah, I think the fingers are

  crossed up here for Viking fans. I don't think anybody's
