- 1:08Speaker 2: how we got here. We started with twenty players and

- 1:39Speaker 2: everyone who the reigning champion is right now, that's Brody Henderson.
- 1:44Speaker 2: He had the twenty twenty two title. Brody, remember that
- 1:48Speaker 2: this is make you proud? This make you proud, Brody?
- 1:51Speaker 3: Looking at them be foundation or something to them.
- 1:56Speaker 2: Deer the mule Deer is his icon from our trophy
- 2:00Speaker 2: next Tues made by the same trophy maker, the late
- 2:03Speaker 2: Great Ed Newman, and our winner will be honored as
- 2:06Speaker 2: the twenty twenty three champion after this episode.
- 2:09Speaker 4: Do you forget what your icon was, Yiannis?
- 2:12Speaker 5: I did? I did because Spencer never put mine out
- 2:15Speaker 5: there in my last win? What is it an eagle?
- 2:20Speaker 6: Do you only foresee this going to twenty six, twenty
- 2:23Speaker 6: twenty six, that's all on the trophy.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Maybe maybe that seems like right amount of questions from
- 2:30Speaker 2: our universe. Now, Phil, give us a scoreboard update for
- 2:33Speaker 2: our six remaining players. We have ten questions left.
- 2:37Speaker 5: Yeah, we'll do.
- 2:37Speaker 7: We've got Randall and Hansei, who fought it out in
- 2:40Speaker 7: the tiebreaker in the last episode. They have four points apiece,
- 2:43Speaker 7: Seth and Jannis have six points, Steve has eight, and
- 2:47Speaker 7: Brody is in first place. He got nine points first
- 2:52Speaker 7: half of.
- 2:52Speaker 2: The game, Brody nine points. The hell of a start.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Yeah, with this adjustment plus five, I somehow did the
- 3:05Speaker 1: math wrong.
- 3:06Speaker 2: Randall declared, it's not even fun anymore.
- 3:08Speaker 8: No, No, I just hope equips and you know, think
- 3:12Speaker 8: about what I have to remind them, Steve Brody, like
- 3:17Speaker 8: me and Brody, we just have to start getting all
- 3:22Speaker 8: of them wrong.
- 3:23Speaker 1: I've scenarios. Yes, it was so difficult. You're getting all
- 3:28Speaker 1: of them right.
- 3:31Speaker 6: I know.
- 3:31Speaker 1: I don't even want to be here, you know, but
- 3:33Speaker 1: here we are.
- 3:34Speaker 2: Here, we are now. We aren't doing any stats, zero
- 3:37Speaker 2: percenters or housekeeping today, so we can get right into
- 3:39Speaker 2: the questions and with that we're onto the game of
- 3:42Speaker 2: trivia play the drop quick question for what he got?
- 3:46Speaker 9: Why did you do a zero percenter? The other part
- 3:49Speaker 9: of the Championship, M right, what's different?
- 3:52Speaker 2: It felt like it was more laid back. There was
- 3:54Speaker 2: like the stakes weren't highyet, as you could see if
- 3:57Speaker 2: you listen to our last episode. Uh tens, we were
- 4:00Speaker 2: up there.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Yeah, with a lot of those tense people and.
- 4:03Speaker 2: The temperature a lot of them. About fifty percent of
- 4:09Speaker 2: that are now out of here. So uh yeah, We're
- 4:13Speaker 2: just gonna go right into the questions. I'm ready to
- 4:15Speaker 2: declare champion.
- 4:16Speaker 1: You introduced him.
- 4:16Speaker 10: In the last episode as the guy who doesn't care,
- 4:19Speaker 10: who says he doesn't care about.
- 4:22Speaker 2: But if he's if he's losing, he doesn't stakes were
- 4:28Speaker 2: high on the nose.
- 4:29Speaker 1: It was very on the nose.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Spencer play the trap, Phil, Look, I need to know
- 4:37Speaker 2: what I stay under wind everything.
- 4:40Speaker 1: I'll say, just tend to win everything, Gamon Suckers.
- 4:51Speaker 2: Finally, Question eleven, This will be multiple choice.
- 4:57Speaker 5: If let me just throw something out. Sure, let's just say,
- 5:00Speaker 5: if Brody was paying for a couple of questions at
- 5:04Speaker 5: the game, what do you think the price would be
- 5:07Speaker 5: per question?
- 5:08Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 5:08Speaker 1: Tell me what what would it what would move the
- 5:11Speaker 1: needle for Spencer?
- 5:12Speaker 5: Yeah? What would he be willing to pay?
- 5:16Speaker 9: Some guy comes up and he says, I got a
- 5:19Speaker 9: couple of hondos here.
- 5:20Speaker 5: That wouldn't be enough.
- 5:23Speaker 4: Would like some super exclusive property spots.
- 5:28Speaker 1: I have a t rex to.
- 5:33Speaker 5: It was just done for one dinosaur.
- 5:34Speaker 2: Yeah, Brody speaking my language, he said access to a
- 5:38Speaker 2: white tail property that that would get you pretty.
- 5:40Speaker 4: Far a cubic ton of petrified wood.
- 5:45Speaker 2: I would I actually need to be getting rid of somebody?
- 5:47Speaker 5: Did you already reveal it on Instagram? Did your circle
- 5:50Speaker 5: of rocks turn into something special?
- 5:52Speaker 2: Or we don't know yet?
- 5:53Speaker 5: You don't know.
- 5:54Speaker 2: He's still waiting to go visit the site with the archaeologists,
- 5:57Speaker 2: who I think are as excited as I am to
- 6:00Speaker 2: go see it in person soon, I hope. Question eleven
- 6:04Speaker 2: this is multiple choice and the topic is fishing. Which
- 6:08Speaker 2: of these lures was not on Field and Streams list
- 6:11Speaker 2: of the twenty five greatest flies of all time? Is
- 6:15Speaker 2: it the Happy Madison, the Klauser minnow, the Dalberg diver
- 6:19Speaker 2: or the Griffiths net.
- 6:24Speaker 1: Three of these.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Were on Field and Streams list of the twenty five
- 6:27Speaker 2: Greatest flies of all time. One of them was not
- 6:31Speaker 2: Is it the happy Madison, the Klauser Minnow, the Dalberg
- 6:34Speaker 2: diver or the Griffith's net A confident Brodie who's one
- 6:40Speaker 2: of the only folks to have an answer, Geo, honest,
- 6:43Speaker 2: do you have this one right?
- 6:47Speaker 5: I'm fifty I've got it narrowed down to two.
- 6:51Speaker 6: I like when you go fishing question, but then when
- 6:53Speaker 6: that fishing question is a fly fishing question, uh huh,
- 6:56Speaker 6: it's just terrible. Like he pumps me down to fishing and.
- 7:05Speaker 2: Shit, three of those flies made field and streams list
- 7:09Speaker 2: one of them did not.
- 7:10Speaker 5: I that's a saying you need to be a more
- 7:13Speaker 5: rounded fish.
- 7:14Speaker 2: That's how you get to be a trivia champion. Like
- 7:16Speaker 2: Brody over here, man catches walleye and he catches trout
- 7:20Speaker 2: and everything in between. Anybody have an answered.
- 7:23Speaker 7: I catch plenty of trout to Spencer's just not on
- 7:26Speaker 7: an accident.
- 7:26Speaker 4: He just hates them.
- 7:28Speaker 2: Go ahead and reveal your answers. We have set saying
- 7:31Speaker 2: happy Madison, Yanna saying happy Madison, Randall's saying happy Madison.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Brody everyone says happy Madison. They got it right. The
- 7:39Speaker 2: correct answer was happy Madison. The Klauserman It was named
- 7:43Speaker 2: the best fly of all time, while the Griffiths Net
- 7:46Speaker 2: was eighth and Dalberg Diver was twenty fourth. Happy Madison
- 7:50Speaker 2: is the name of Adam Sandler's production company, which combines
- 7:53Speaker 2: the name of two movies, Happy Gilmour and Billy Madison.
- 7:56Speaker 4: You could have stuck something better and there for the
- 7:58Speaker 4: one that was wrong.
- 8:00Speaker 1: What I had going for it is it's a famous
- 8:02Speaker 1: trout river.
- 8:03Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 8:03Speaker 2: I got a few folks down to a fifty.
- 8:08Speaker 1: Happy Hey, listen, I didn't write it down. Do what
- 8:11Speaker 1: I'm just saying. It's got it going.
- 8:12Speaker 4: I just think it's a bad question.
- 8:14Speaker 2: Twelve. This is our.
- 8:15Speaker 1: Half the week.
- 8:20Speaker 2: This is our listener question the Week, which was won
- 8:21Speaker 2: by Drew Young for sending this great question. He's going
- 8:24Speaker 2: to get a book signed by Steve. What Tennessee Lake
- 8:29Speaker 2: was the side of a duck hunting double homicide in
- 8:32Speaker 2: twenty twenty one. The topic was hunting. What Tennessee Lake
- 8:39Speaker 2: was the site of a duck hunting double homicide in
- 8:42Speaker 2: twenty twenty one. The room looks torn.
- 8:47Speaker 6: I remember reading this article on the media.
- 8:49Speaker 1: Dot Com definitely followed this.
- 8:52Speaker 2: I don't know what good Onnie Seth.
- 8:55Speaker 7: I just didn't retain the infel spencer.
- 8:57Speaker 2: What tennis. That's a hint.
- 9:06Speaker 1: Chat.
- 9:07Speaker 9: This is the chit chat I just hate.
- 9:10Speaker 5: Okay, there's no way that's gonna help you.
- 9:15Speaker 2: Anybody like I was born like Stephen Brody, probably have
- 9:21Speaker 2: an intimate knowledge of where you've hunted and where you
- 9:24Speaker 2: haven't in Tennessee.
- 9:26Speaker 5: No, I don't know, not that intimate.
- 9:29Speaker 2: What Tennessee Like was the side of a duck hunting
- 9:31Speaker 2: double hamm.
- 9:35Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 9:36Speaker 9: Okay, I don't know, but I just need him to
- 9:39Speaker 9: not know. I don't care about you, like something like
- 9:42Speaker 9: I don't care who cares. It's not gonna do anything
- 9:44Speaker 9: for him.
- 9:45Speaker 5: But I just race. I know, and you don't know.
- 9:48Speaker 1: That's bad.
- 9:49Speaker 5: Then I'm scratching.
- 9:51Speaker 2: That's how the game.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Did you come?
- 9:53Speaker 5: Scratch?
- 9:53Speaker 1: And oh, it's give me a their second hmmm, give
- 9:59Speaker 1: me another hint.
- 10:00Speaker 10: This is from Meat Eater's fifth vertical, Murders in the Outdoors.
- 10:05Speaker 2: Which I think we have a book coming out about
- 10:07Speaker 2: murders in the outdoors. What Tennessee Like was the side
- 10:12Speaker 2: of a duck hunting double homicide in twenty twenty one.
- 10:17Speaker 6: I feel like Brody's been writing for the last ten minutes.
- 10:20Speaker 2: Yeah, Brod, he doesn't like the extra time. He's been
- 10:23Speaker 2: granted an extra time answer here. I think you're the
- 10:27Speaker 2: only one we're waiting on right now. All right, let's fine,
- 10:29Speaker 2: let's go, so everybody's right, Hansey. Okay, I'm gonna let
- 10:34Speaker 2: Hanse finish writing, and then we're gonna to milip over
- 10:36Speaker 2: the boards.
- 10:39Speaker 1: Do you mind? You know that little thing you?
- 10:41Speaker 2: Okay, sure, Hansey, it's unspoken.
- 10:45Speaker 7: Now we'll have the usual.
- 10:47Speaker 2: Yeah, go ahead and reveal your answers. We have Seth
- 10:51Speaker 2: saying brown lake, Yanna saying real foot, Ramble saying real foot,
- 10:55Speaker 2: Hanse without an answer, Seth crossed out or excuse me,
- 10:58Speaker 2: Steve crossed out tenderfoot and wrote real foot. Brody saying Cumberland.
- 11:04Speaker 2: What the correct answer is real foot lake? Steve likes
- 11:13Speaker 2: what has just happened? Chance?
- 11:19Speaker 1: Not that it gave me a hint, but it bought
- 11:21Speaker 1: me time.
- 11:22Speaker 2: Okay, how close were you doing till the very end? Chance,
- 11:27Speaker 2: Black Zach, No, certainly not a false foot chance. Black
- 11:34Speaker 2: Zach Groomes and Jeff Crabtree were duck hunting on real
- 11:37Speaker 2: foot when seven year old David Vowel approached their blind
- 11:41Speaker 2: He killed black and grooms with his shotgun before Crabtree
- 11:44Speaker 2: shoved Vowel into the lake. Vowel's body was recovered a
- 11:47Speaker 2: few days later, with the Corner determining that he died
- 11:50Speaker 2: of hypothermia and or drowning. Authorities later learned that a
- 11:54Speaker 2: week before the incident, Vowel told his wife that he
- 11:57Speaker 2: had dementia, which he self diagnosed by going his symptoms. Wow,
- 12:02Speaker 2: question thirteen be time.
- 12:04Speaker 1: I don't know that.
- 12:07Speaker 2: I can't remember who wrote it. Somebody for Outdoor Life
- 12:09Speaker 2: interviewed the third hunter. They did a phenomenal job of
- 12:12Speaker 2: telling the story. Obviously very sad, but for all parties?
- 12:16Speaker 1: Should we put that in the Sportsman's Atlas? Brody, Well,
- 12:21Speaker 1: we just.
- 12:21Speaker 4: Told the whole damn thing.
- 12:22Speaker 2: No, I mean, there's there's a lot of the story
- 12:24Speaker 2: the lake.
- 12:25Speaker 9: You know what we do is for the Sportsman's Atlas,
- 12:27Speaker 9: we could go through all of the trivia questions forever
- 12:32Speaker 9: and probably fine things.
- 12:34Speaker 2: Sports That lake has a fascinating history about how it
- 12:37Speaker 2: was formed. In case you want to use this for
- 12:38Speaker 2: the atlas, we won't talk about it, but it's a
- 12:40Speaker 2: relatively young lake. All those blinds that they were hunting
- 12:43Speaker 2: out of our public blinds. That's like a draw system.
- 12:46Speaker 2: There might be something there for you. Question three.
- 12:48Speaker 1: Did you hear about me and Randall's long Hunter's project?
- 12:52Speaker 2: Slightly? I came and butted in on it a few times.
- 12:55Speaker 2: That was that was about as much as I know.
- 12:57Speaker 9: We recorded it the other day. Does that think it
- 12:59Speaker 9: might be the best audio thing I've ever been involved in?
- 13:02Speaker 2: Wow? That's great, better than this now audio? What if
- 13:08Speaker 2: you win?
- 13:09Speaker 7: Better than the last episode?
- 13:10Speaker 2: Question thirteen of our audio books.
- 13:13Speaker 1: But it's our first audiobook though, So that's not saying
- 13:15Speaker 1: a whole lot. Yeah, I guess you're right.
- 13:19Speaker 2: This is the best.
- 13:20Speaker 8: Uh.
- 13:21Speaker 1: I wonder why I felt so good?
- 13:23Speaker 2: This is the best championship episode we've ever recorded. In
- 13:26Speaker 2: twenty twenty three, that is the fourth and final episode
- 13:29Speaker 2: of the tournament. So yeah, same thing.
- 13:31Speaker 7: Congrats.
- 13:32Speaker 2: Question thirteen. The topic is woodsmanship. The scientific name for
- 13:37Speaker 2: this fool proof for mushroom roughly translates to giant bald head.
- 13:45Speaker 2: The topic is woodsmanship. The scientific name for this fool
- 13:49Speaker 2: proof for mushroom roughly translates to giant bald head. Hold on,
- 13:56Speaker 2: of course, the room looks stumped. Brody is the only
- 14:01Speaker 2: person to come up with an answer thus far. The
- 14:07Speaker 2: scientific name for this fool proof for mushroom roughly translates
- 14:12Speaker 2: to giant bald head. This is question thirteen.
- 14:22Speaker 1: Could I just write down a couple of the things
- 14:23Speaker 1: the fool proof four have?
- 14:24Speaker 2: It? Be fine, We're not going to count that. You
- 14:27Speaker 2: can cross it out until you're down to one.
- 14:29Speaker 10: Four are.
- 14:31Speaker 2: Oh man, the room is stump like the Linnaean name.
- 14:38Speaker 2: The scientific name for this fool proof for mushroom roughly
- 14:41Speaker 2: translates to giant.
- 14:43Speaker 7: Bald But but do they need to write scientif if.
- 14:47Speaker 2: I just need the mushrooms right, if the answer was
- 14:50Speaker 2: large mouth bass, you would just write down large mount.
- 14:51Speaker 1: I don't need it, Okay, I thought I had an ome.
- 14:53Speaker 1: I need more time. I just thought I had an
- 14:56Speaker 1: over lenaan name.
- 14:57Speaker 2: Now now that I think would be impossible. You need
- 15:02Speaker 2: to tell me the common name for the mushroom, seth.
- 15:07Speaker 2: Do you have this one right? You're pretty quiet, I
- 15:10Speaker 2: don't know, just kind of accepted your fate on this question.
- 15:13Speaker 2: Maybe the game in general?
- 15:15Speaker 5: Hey not yet? Yeah, good Spencer. Okay. If the answer
- 15:22Speaker 5: was large mouth bass, and.
- 15:26Speaker 2: I need to write down largemouth bass.
- 15:28Speaker 5: Not only bad not like bucket mouth.
- 15:36Speaker 2: The scientific name you give me this fool proof for
- 15:40Speaker 2: mushroom roughly translates to giant bald head.
- 15:44Speaker 4: You know what it is, Steve?
- 15:47Speaker 3: Mm hmm.
- 15:50Speaker 2: We trust Hansie. Is everybody ready?
- 15:54Speaker 6: Hold on?
- 15:54Speaker 5: I got to change my answer real quick.
- 15:56Speaker 2: Is everybody ready?
- 15:58Speaker 5: Oh?
- 15:59Speaker 6: Man, maybe hans he knows it and he's sitting there
- 16:01Speaker 6: to going Steve, such an idiot.
- 16:06Speaker 5: I appreciate it.
- 16:09Speaker 2: Mm hmm. Really, is everybody ready? That's what you changed
- 16:18Speaker 2: us too.
- 16:20Speaker 5: No, give me five.
- 16:22Speaker 1: Oh that's exciting. Wow, that's exciting.
- 16:26Speaker 2: We have Randall disagreeing.
- 16:27Speaker 1: No, no, I'm not.
- 16:31Speaker 2: No giant bald head. Brodie. I think we are just waiting.
- 16:38Speaker 4: In one second, I'm finishing up.
- 16:41Speaker 2: Is anybody confident, Steve?
- 16:46Speaker 1: Okay, it's it's more complicated than that. To be honest
- 16:49Speaker 1: with you, you don't want to explain it because it's
- 16:53Speaker 1: the kind of chip chata. You know what I'm saying?
- 16:56Speaker 9: Okay, no, no, no, no, he saw something cheating?
- 17:02Speaker 1: Why would you change Barry another mushrooms.
- 17:05Speaker 2: And Arry did not see anything ten seconds before?
- 17:09Speaker 1: Does this go on?
- 17:10Speaker 6: For?
- 17:11Speaker 4: They're going until brod to get go ahead.
- 17:16Speaker 2: And reveal your answers. We have said saying puffball. Be honest,
- 17:20Speaker 2: I can't even tell what the board says here puffball
- 17:23Speaker 2: Rand saying puffball, Hansi saying giant puffball, See saying giant puffball,
- 17:27Speaker 2: Brody saying bulett. The correct answer is.
- 17:29Speaker 1: Puffball, giant puffball.
- 17:33Speaker 2: We're not going to go to giants.
- 17:35Speaker 1: That's what I got point the double points.
- 17:38Speaker 5: If you get giant.
- 17:39Speaker 2: Puff we're just going to do puffball. Puffballs are round,
- 17:42Speaker 2: white mushrooms that can reach soccer ball proportion, which explains
- 17:46Speaker 2: the meaning of the scientific.
- 17:48Speaker 9: Randall Like, listen, buddy, I want you to look and
- 17:51Speaker 9: be inspired by this.
- 17:52Speaker 2: Man.
- 17:53Speaker 1: Well, I was about to change.
- 17:54Speaker 10: I was about to change to plus three, but then
- 17:57Speaker 10: I realized, since you got it right, I'm just exactly
- 17:59Speaker 10: where I was.
- 18:00Speaker 1: I want you to look at me like, man, any
- 18:01Speaker 1: anything's possible. I appreciate that.
- 18:03Speaker 4: A lot of talking going on.
- 18:05Speaker 2: The biggest puffball ever found was discovered in nineteen eighty seven.
- 18:09Speaker 2: It was over eight feet in circumference and weighed nearly
- 18:12Speaker 2: fifty pounds.
- 18:13Speaker 1: No way.
- 18:14Speaker 2: If you want to learn how to cook with them,
- 18:16Speaker 2: then go to the medeater dot com and check out
- 18:17Speaker 2: Rick Mattney's recipe for puffball mushroom pizza.
- 18:20Speaker 9: I'll tell you right now, big one, it's a listen,
- 18:23Speaker 9: it's a I've gotten in my at my age.
- 18:27Speaker 1: I don't even slow down for him.
- 18:29Speaker 2: Oh really, it just tell me where they're at. I
- 18:31Speaker 2: would love to go get some.
- 18:32Speaker 1: They're all over the place.
- 18:33Speaker 9: I was looking at a bunch of your day. I
- 18:34Speaker 9: don't even slow down for him because it's like, it's
- 18:36Speaker 9: just always a disappointing feat. It's always a disappointing feed.
- 18:40Speaker 2: Now did you did you find them in an open
- 18:41Speaker 2: meadow where they like in timber grass.
- 18:44Speaker 5: They're kind of like tofu.
- 18:45Speaker 2: I feel like, take whatever flavor you.
- 18:47Speaker 9: I don't even slow down for him. The textures not right.
- 18:51Speaker 9: Like when I find emotion, I won't be excited. Sure,
- 18:54Speaker 9: And when I bring home puffball, I'm just not excited.
- 18:57Speaker 7: You know, not an eight foot one.
- 18:58Speaker 1: You could cut mattress like that mattress, great mattress. You
- 19:06Speaker 1: could shoot it up with a punt gun too, probably
- 19:09Speaker 1: climb up, just suck all that. It just suck all
- 19:12Speaker 1: it absorbed, all that business.
- 19:14Speaker 5: Yeah, you would wait until it turned it into powder.
- 19:17Speaker 1: Oh oh, it's like poor Man's tanner.
- 19:22Speaker 2: Question. Fourteen. The topic is biology. What city is home
- 19:27Speaker 2: to the American Museum of Natural History? Says question fourteen.
- 19:35Speaker 2: What city is home to the American Museum of Natural History?
- 19:43Speaker 2: An exciting round so far, Brody had a little bit
- 19:47Speaker 2: of a cushion. Now I think he may be in
- 19:50Speaker 2: second place.
- 19:51Speaker 4: There's one question of cushion. I feel like I said
- 19:56Speaker 4: a little bit.
- 19:56Speaker 7: You're feeling good about your answer, Randal. You've gotten three
- 20:01Speaker 7: correct in this game so far? Am I right with that?
- 20:05Speaker 2: That would be to be honest.
- 20:06Speaker 1: I'm not paying I just listen.
- 20:07Speaker 5: I I okay, how many questions?
- 20:09Speaker 7: I just know there's the championship and I don't want
- 20:11Speaker 7: to screw anything up.
- 20:12Speaker 9: So he answers, he's not screwing with I thought he's
- 20:15Speaker 9: just screwing with you.
- 20:16Speaker 1: You just try to check a score.
- 20:17Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, I don't.
- 20:18Speaker 10: I mean, I'm not really paying attention to the answers.
- 20:21Speaker 2: We've had so far. We're happy Madison, Real, foot Lake
- 20:25Speaker 2: and Puffball.
- 20:28Speaker 1: I thought you meant the whole day.
- 20:31Speaker 7: No, no, no, just in this this game that we've
- 20:35Speaker 7: Here's the question last few minutes, what.
- 20:36Speaker 2: City is home to the American Museum of Natural History?
- 20:40Speaker 2: Maybe is everybody ready, he said maybe, with a smirk.
- 20:45Speaker 2: On I think that's more than a maybe. We're Seth
- 20:50Speaker 2: saying New York City, Honest saying Washington, d C. Randall
- 20:53Speaker 2: saying New York City, Hansi saying Chicago, Steve saying New
- 20:57Speaker 2: York City, Brody saying Washington, d C. The correct answer
- 21:03Speaker 2: is New York City.
- 21:06Speaker 1: The boy Brody is faltering bad.
- 21:12Speaker 9: We found things like listen, it's interesting to have found
- 21:16Speaker 9: his weeks.
- 21:17Speaker 5: Which is.
- 21:20Speaker 2: Okay, okay, how many years difference are you two in age?
- 21:29Speaker 5: Sunday?
- 21:31Speaker 1: Some hard I didn't ask if he wanted to run
- 21:35Speaker 1: a half marathon.
- 21:37Speaker 5: No, you won't be hunting that thing Sunday.
- 21:40Speaker 2: The American Museum of Natural History is located on the
- 21:43Speaker 2: upper West side of Manhattan in Theodore Roosevelt Park. The
- 21:47Speaker 2: museum has thirty five million specimens of plant, animals, fossils, artifacts,
- 21:52Speaker 2: and more. It gets about five million visitors each year,
- 21:55Speaker 2: including my wife and I on our honeymoon in twenty seventeen.
- 22:01Speaker 1: Case of point that.
- 22:03Speaker 9: Question that they get visitors, You know what, Sometimes you're
- 22:06Speaker 9: doing a question and and you start.
- 22:12Speaker 2: And I know, I know it, okay, based on just.
- 22:17Speaker 9: Like vibrations the last two the somehow you hadn't said
- 22:22Speaker 9: the question. Your voice started and it was and I
- 22:25Speaker 9: was like visited, okay, with the realization that I knew
- 22:29Speaker 9: the answer.
- 22:29Speaker 1: You're got with what city?
- 22:31Speaker 2: Yeah, you're tumunculous chiseled through your ear. Question fifteen. The
- 22:39Speaker 2: topic is conservation. This type of federal land often has
- 22:44Speaker 2: welcome signs that say, quote your public lands. M question
- 22:50Speaker 2: is behind you, Steve. This type of federal land often
- 22:54Speaker 2: has welcome signs that say, quote your public lands.
- 23:03Speaker 7: And Steve, you said two point lead. Right now, I
- 23:05Speaker 7: have you with a one point lead. No, it might
- 23:07Speaker 7: be my mistake.
- 23:07Speaker 1: No, I caught him and then passed him and then
- 23:10Speaker 1: passed him more.
- 23:10Speaker 2: Let's let's revisit. So Steve got New York City.
- 23:13Speaker 7: I've got Steve at twelve, and I've got Brody with
- 23:15Speaker 7: eleven currently. No, he's up by two by two. Screw
- 23:18Speaker 7: that means I gave Brody an extra point somewhere.
- 23:20Speaker 5: I want it back.
- 23:23Speaker 1: Oh, what was the question?
- 23:24Speaker 2: Question fifteen topic is conservation. This type of federal land
- 23:28Speaker 2: often has welcome signs that say, quote your public plans.
- 23:40Speaker 2: The room is torn, Randall, do you have this one, right,
- 23:44Speaker 2: I think so this is question fifteen. We will get
- 23:47Speaker 2: an official scoreboard update from Phil after this.
- 23:51Speaker 9: How could during a championship game, Phil be having so
- 23:55Speaker 9: many questions about who's got what.
- 23:57Speaker 7: I'm just I'm trying to make sure things are square.
- 24:00Speaker 7: I'm doing this for you.
- 24:01Speaker 2: He's counting above ten.
- 24:04Speaker 5: That's true.
- 24:05Speaker 6: Yeah, not to feel bad at doing what he does,
- 24:08Speaker 6: but you should keep it tally sure.
- 24:10Speaker 9: I never knew she's never done this before. He's never
- 24:13Speaker 9: demonstrated fallibility and clation.
- 24:16Speaker 1: That's wrong.
- 24:17Speaker 7: Ever since we brought the cameras and the TV in
- 24:19Speaker 7: here and I'm doing eight things at once, I asked
- 24:21Speaker 7: people to keep their own score just in case I'm
- 24:25Speaker 7: I'm imperfect.
- 24:27Speaker 2: Someone else made the observation Phil looks like he is
- 24:29Speaker 2: a nine to one to one operator.
- 24:31Speaker 1: Back there does Philip play?
- 24:32Speaker 7: It's a more stressful job.
- 24:33Speaker 2: He has played before. He played during the Wives and
- 24:37Speaker 2: Girlfriend's episode.
- 24:37Speaker 1: Yeah, and his wife won his wife one.
- 24:39Speaker 2: Yeah, she'd put up an oppressive nine.
- 24:41Speaker 1: I believe that day.
- 24:43Speaker 2: I remember we've had a stat in the past about
- 24:45Speaker 2: Phil's performance because he played like the first four or
- 24:47Speaker 2: five episodes. I don't recall what his average was it
- 24:52Speaker 2: wasn't true.
- 24:52Speaker 1: When his wife beat him? Was it like, uh, did
- 24:55Speaker 1: he do real bad?
- 24:56Speaker 5: No?
- 24:56Speaker 7: I want to say I got like a seven or something.
- 24:58Speaker 2: Yeah, how'd that go? At home? Phil?
- 25:00Speaker 7: I don't think she's brought it up once since.
- 25:01Speaker 1: Okay, up to be honest, Spencer, we just don't care
- 25:04Speaker 1: about it.
- 25:07Speaker 2: Here's the question again. This type of federal land often
- 25:09Speaker 2: has welcome signs. This could be sa public Phil.
- 25:13Speaker 7: Do you ever miss it playing trivia?
- 25:16Speaker 1: Do you miss the thrill?
- 25:18Speaker 5: Not at all?
- 25:19Speaker 1: I was.
- 25:19Speaker 7: I was horrified. I like when there's a cooking question.
- 25:22Speaker 7: I was like, Okay, I've got a fighting chance here,
- 25:24Speaker 7: but everything else is nope, right over my head.
- 25:27Speaker 2: Does everybody have an answer? Go ahead and reveal your answers.
- 25:33Speaker 2: We have Seth saying Forest Service, you're honest saying national Forest,
- 25:37Speaker 2: Randall saying BLM, Hansi saying national Forest, See saying national Forest.
- 25:42Speaker 2: Brody's saying BLM. He crossed out national forest. The correct
- 25:46Speaker 2: answer is BLM. It's going to make the game interesting
- 25:53Speaker 2: up a little bit. That was question fifteen. The BLM
- 25:58Speaker 2: branding is big on hand. I'mering home the concept that
- 26:01Speaker 2: public lands belong to you. Their signs often contain slogans
- 26:05Speaker 2: like help maintain your property, keep your land clean, and
- 26:10Speaker 2: entering your public lands. The agency says that their signs
- 26:14Speaker 2: act as silent employees. Phil, we have five questions left,
- 26:18Speaker 2: give us a scoreboard update.
- 26:20Speaker 7: Yeah, sure thing. We've got Hansei who has six points
- 26:24Speaker 7: and I don't believe can catch up.
- 26:26Speaker 5: I'm pretty sure you're right.
- 26:27Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm pretty sure you're correct. Like mathematical, mathematically impossible.
- 26:33Speaker 7: Uh, Jannis Randall and Seth I'll have nine points, apiece,
- 26:37Speaker 7: Brody has eleven, and Steve has run away with the lead.
- 26:40Speaker 7: He's got twelve points.
- 26:45Speaker 2: Questions left?
- 26:46Speaker 4: The one exactly classified is running away f.
- 26:49Speaker 7: Well, he was behind and I was in front. I
- 26:50Speaker 7: didn't believe that correct correctly, you'rerrect ready.
- 26:54Speaker 9: Question There's there's a lot of turf out there, dude,
- 26:57Speaker 9: being like this is like on a normal show. This
- 26:59Speaker 9: is like being that you're halfway through with a one
- 27:03Speaker 9: point lead. That doesn't mean that much.
- 27:05Speaker 2: It's a good way to put it. Question sixteen. The
- 27:17Speaker 2: topic is gear. USA Archery CEO Denise Parker said their
- 27:24Speaker 2: membership doubled thanks to the release of this twenty twelve movie.
- 27:31Speaker 2: The Room is very confident. USA Archery CEO Denise Parker
- 27:36Speaker 2: said their membership doubled thanks to the release of this
- 27:40Speaker 2: twenty twelve movie. Seems like we may have a one
- 27:45Speaker 2: hundred percenter here.
- 27:46Speaker 1: That was kind of dumb ass question. Okay, it's going
- 27:50Speaker 1: to everybody knows Godfather.
- 27:54Speaker 2: Hansi is the only one a little stumped.
- 27:58Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like kids.
- 28:03Speaker 2: Is everybody ready?
- 28:04Speaker 5: No?
- 28:06Speaker 6: Sure?
- 28:06Speaker 2: Whatever, Hansi, we don't. We don't have to pressure. You
- 28:09Speaker 2: made a few seconds. Uh, I'm finished writing, the USA
- 28:14Speaker 2: Archery CEO. See the rest of all of the rest
- 28:17Speaker 2: of our ears work. You can't have pounding noise into
- 28:21Speaker 2: the like. USA Archery CEO Denise Parker said their membership
- 28:25Speaker 2: doubled thanks to the release of this twenty twelve movie. Hansei,
- 28:29Speaker 2: are you ready?
- 28:30Speaker 6: Sure?
- 28:31Speaker 2: Go ahead and reveal your answers? We have sex and
- 28:35Speaker 2: Jannis and Randall and Steve and Brody all saying Hunger Games.
- 28:39Speaker 2: Hansi is saying the one with.
- 28:42Speaker 7: Attribute, which is which is right?
- 28:44Speaker 2: Which is correct? Answer is the hungry game? The Hungry
- 28:48Speaker 2: Games features candles everything who's played.
- 28:51Speaker 1: Give it to me.
- 28:52Speaker 2: I'll be thankful and you guys won't be any off
- 28:54Speaker 2: anywhorse off who's played by Jennifer Lawrence using archery equipment
- 28:58Speaker 2: in a dystopian un According to a twenty sixteen report,
- 29:02Speaker 2: approximately half of the girl archers surveyed said that they
- 29:05Speaker 2: were influenced by the movie to take up the sport.
- 29:08Speaker 2: USA Archery CEO called it their gott Milk campaign for
- 29:12Speaker 2: the archery industry. Question seventeen. The topic is fishing. This river,
- 29:18Speaker 2: which is the second longest tributary to the Mississippi, flows
- 29:22Speaker 2: through states like Colorado and Oklahoma. This river, which is
- 29:30Speaker 2: the second longest tributary to the Mississippi, flows through states
- 29:35Speaker 2: like Colorado and Oklahoma. This is question seventeen, Giannest Do
- 29:44Speaker 2: you have this one right?
- 29:47Speaker 7: Pretty sure?
- 29:48Speaker 2: Okay? Brody also seems confident as well as Randall. Seth
- 29:52Speaker 2: has not picked up his board. That's a hint.
- 30:00Speaker 1: But then maybe I didn't enough chit chat.
- 30:04Speaker 2: Have you hunted this river yet? Don't answer it? Come on, Seth,
- 30:11Speaker 2: I think we are waiting on you to tell us
- 30:13Speaker 2: the second longest tributary to the Mississippi shot. I don't
- 30:18Speaker 2: know that helps. It actually erases the bad word you said.
- 30:22Speaker 2: When you say, oh, shoot, I meant Steve are you
- 30:28Speaker 2: changing an answer?
- 30:30Speaker 5: Well, just yeah, okay, but yeah, sure.
- 30:37Speaker 2: This river, which is the second longest tributary to the Mississippi, if.
- 30:41Speaker 4: They changed it to the right saying that thing dragged
- 30:44Speaker 4: out forever.
- 30:45Speaker 2: Like Colorado, and yeah, there's no hits.
- 30:50Speaker 1: Didn't fish it.
- 30:51Speaker 5: Come on, let's go.
- 30:56Speaker 2: It didn't land, honest, Steve got it. No, No, I
- 30:59Speaker 2: know some people it didn't land. Go ahead and reveal
- 31:03Speaker 2: your answers. We have set saying platt Yannis saying plant
- 31:07Speaker 2: Mandaal saying platte, Hansei saying Missouri, Steve saying Arkansas. He's
- 31:12Speaker 2: saying Arkansas, and Steve crossed out the platte he said,
- 31:16Speaker 2: like our causes. The correct answer is the Arkansas River,
- 31:25Speaker 2: sons and got out.
- 31:28Speaker 5: Boy. I think.
- 31:29Speaker 2: At fourteen hundred miles, the Arkansas River is the sixth
- 31:33Speaker 2: longest river in the United States and forty fifth longest
- 31:37Speaker 2: river in the world. It's a rocky mountains and it
- 31:41Speaker 2: flows through Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas before dumping into
- 31:45Speaker 2: the Mississippi. The river's watershed extends all the way into
- 31:49Speaker 2: New Mexico, Texas and Missouri.
- 31:51Speaker 1: Would you stop saying states like we could?
- 31:54Speaker 2: We could make that change. If these states, you know what,
- 31:56Speaker 2: that's that's a good that's a good critique. We can
- 31:59Speaker 2: fix that. Such as question eighteen, the topic is woodsmanship.
- 32:05Speaker 2: This next great question was sent to us by Shallon Teche.
- 32:08Speaker 2: What navigational term refers to the angle of difference between
- 32:13Speaker 2: magnetic north and true north? Steve? Steve thinks it's a race.
- 32:19Speaker 2: He's very confident this could be the end of me.
- 32:24Speaker 2: Brody is ready to have his obituary written for trivia gods.
- 32:29Speaker 9: Having such a strong game, dude, I mean like it
- 32:33Speaker 9: started out week, you know, and it got strong.
- 32:36Speaker 2: Here we are. What navigational term refers to the angle
- 32:40Speaker 2: of difference between magnetic north and true north?
- 32:47Speaker 1: That forestry school of year, Seth, They probably did.
- 32:50Speaker 2: Yeah, Johannis and Seth have not picked up their boards.
- 32:54Speaker 2: Randal just now coming up and answered, Randall, do you
- 32:56Speaker 2: have this one right? I uh, I don't think so.
- 33:02Speaker 1: I'd like to talk about who should know it?
- 33:06Speaker 2: Brody? He is pointing at Brody writing about it at
- 33:09Speaker 2: one point. Mm hmm, Brody, do you have an answer?
- 33:14Speaker 4: I have an answer, I just don't know if it's
- 33:15Speaker 4: a complete answer.
- 33:17Speaker 1: I swear to God I won't touch my board. Let
- 33:18Speaker 1: me see you.
- 33:19Speaker 2: Wrote no, Hansei, do you have an answer? Is it
- 33:24Speaker 2: the right answer?
- 33:25Speaker 5: There's there's a chance.
- 33:27Speaker 2: Okay, HANSI look at you here in the final six
- 33:30Speaker 2: of Meat Eater Trivia. Wish we should acknowledge how exciting
- 33:33Speaker 2: that is.
- 33:34Speaker 1: Good time, I have having a good time. There's no pressure.
- 33:38Speaker 10: There's been no pressure on the side of the time.
- 33:40Speaker 1: I mean, when you've already lost, you're like, it's your sailing.
- 33:43Speaker 2: I guess what navigational term refers to the angle of
- 33:48Speaker 2: difference between magnetic north and true north. Be honest, do
- 33:53Speaker 2: you have an answer yet? No? This is question eighteen.
- 33:58Speaker 2: I mean, after this we only have two questions left.
- 34:02Speaker 10: I'm starting to feel a little better about my answer.
- 34:04Speaker 2: But there's just no payoff. Okay, you know, Steve, Steve
- 34:08Speaker 2: could terribly falter here We'll get a scoreboard update from Phil.
- 34:13Speaker 9: No I can still falter, sure, but I'm just happy,
- 34:15Speaker 9: Like even if I lose, I'm just happy that I've
- 34:17Speaker 9: that I've you know, gotten in there, held my own.
- 34:19Speaker 9: You know, you can be like true guy like Randall
- 34:22Speaker 9: over here, you know, big time winner and all that,
- 34:25Speaker 9: but then when the when, when it counts you know
- 34:28Speaker 9: what I mean.
- 34:28Speaker 2: You know the problem is he's a rookie, Steve. He
- 34:30Speaker 2: wasn't here for the tournament last year. He didn't he
- 34:32Speaker 2: wasn't involved in the high stakes of the twenty twenty
- 34:35Speaker 2: two tournament. This is where your veterans.
- 34:37Speaker 5: Put it to you.
- 34:38Speaker 1: Like golf. So you got a guy that, uh always
- 34:42Speaker 1: does really good at golf.
- 34:43Speaker 9: It'll be good, yeah, always just good at golf, and
- 34:45Speaker 9: then he gets the final championship and.
- 34:47Speaker 2: He doesn't do good at golf. You know what that is?
- 34:52Speaker 2: That's exactly what it's right? What an analogy?
- 34:56Speaker 5: Brody?
- 34:56Speaker 2: Do you have an answer?
- 34:57Speaker 4: I have an answer, but I don't think it's right.
- 34:59Speaker 2: Honesty, do you have an answer? Are you going to
- 35:01Speaker 2: come up with an answer? I'm not going go ahead
- 35:03Speaker 2: and reveal your answers. We have seth and the Honest
- 35:05Speaker 2: without answers. Randall saying declination, HANSI saying declination, Steve saying declination,
- 35:13Speaker 2: Brody saying drift. The correct answer is declination or magnetic variation.
- 35:18Speaker 1: Put your boards in, guys.
- 35:22Speaker 2: You can determine declination by using a map or declination chart.
- 35:27Speaker 2: If your compass needle is clockwise of true north, then
- 35:30Speaker 2: you have a positive declination. If your compass needle is
- 35:33Speaker 2: counterclockwise of true north, then you have a negative declination.
- 35:37Speaker 2: Declination tends to be more variable the closer you get
- 35:41Speaker 2: to the magnetic pull.
- 35:42Speaker 9: Yeah, people write it off, but you get up, you
- 35:45Speaker 9: get up. Like around in the Brooks range, you could
- 35:48Speaker 9: have a declination in the twenties. Sure, you could like
- 35:50Speaker 9: seriously miss something and a storm can change. It changes
- 35:54Speaker 9: by the year, so your maps could be on a date.
- 35:57Speaker 1: Let me tell you a little tidbit.
- 35:58Speaker 9: Yes, periodically throughout geologic history, the magnetic poles have switched.
- 36:09Speaker 9: There have been times your compass would have pointed south.
- 36:12Speaker 9: It's inexplicable why it happens. But when they were still
- 36:15Speaker 9: trying to solve the mystery of seafloor spreading and continental drift,
- 36:20Speaker 9: they would find these crystallized minerals that would come out
- 36:25Speaker 9: of rifts in the bottom of the ocean. And you
- 36:28Speaker 9: could go back in time on the same place where
- 36:32Speaker 9: seafloor spreading is occurring. It's spreading two directions. You can
- 36:36Speaker 9: go back in time and look and these parallel strips
- 36:40Speaker 9: of magnetic south magnetic north, magnetic south magnetic north as
- 36:43Speaker 9: it switches inexplicably put that in your like, when I.
- 36:48Speaker 1: Host this show, that's gonna be a lot of stuff
- 36:50Speaker 1: like that. Yeah, really good.
- 36:53Speaker 2: Are you familiar with the show Doomsday Preppers? Have you
- 36:55Speaker 2: ever heard of them? It's like these people who show
- 36:57Speaker 2: off their prepping for the end of all time times
- 37:00Speaker 2: and they always present the scenario that they're preparing for
- 37:03Speaker 2: why they think the world is going to end, right.
- 37:04Speaker 2: It could be a pandemic, could be a third World war,
- 37:09Speaker 2: very common, not not very common. One that people bring
- 37:12Speaker 2: up is the pole switching. I'd be like a Y
- 37:14Speaker 2: two K scenario. Then it's going to mess everything up,
- 37:16Speaker 2: throw us into chaos. Phil, we have two questions left.
- 37:20Speaker 2: Where does the leader board stand?
- 37:23Speaker 7: Hansi has seven points, Yes, Jannis and Seth have ten
- 37:26Speaker 7: randalls eleven. But unfortunately it is not enough to continue,
- 37:29Speaker 7: and we have to say goodbye two of those four players.
- 37:32Speaker 1: To all of them, all of them not looking good
- 37:35Speaker 1: for me either. Like a it's like a more brody Hendry,
- 37:42Speaker 1: like late Shift at the Morgue. It's just like the
- 37:44Speaker 1: one guy and every day.
- 37:46Speaker 5: Careful to take this table and throw it across the
- 37:49Speaker 5: whole room.
- 37:51Speaker 1: Was a line about coffin shaped table at the war.
- 37:55Speaker 2: Katie said, how can you be which Steve found extra just.
- 38:04Speaker 1: The chestise and she didn't like it, just like the chest.
- 38:08Speaker 7: Brody has thirteen points and Steve is in first place
- 38:12Speaker 7: with fifteen. So Steve would have to really trip up
- 38:15Speaker 7: and Brody would have to bring it.
- 38:16Speaker 1: Oh, that could happen.
- 38:18Speaker 2: Question nineteen. The topic is cooking. This female name refers
- 38:23Speaker 2: to In a steak is served with a pant sauce
- 38:26Speaker 2: that's often made of mustard, kgnac cream and mushrooms. What

- 38:38Speaker 2: with a pant sauce that's often made of mustard, koniak

- 38:51Speaker 5: I think ste could get it.
- 38:53Speaker 1: Girl Mom's name. I had this for dinner three months ago.
- 39:03Speaker 2: There is a hint and Brody is so confident. I
- 39:06Speaker 2: didn't even finish the question and he had come up
- 39:08Speaker 2: with an answer. This female name refers to an a
- 39:12Speaker 2: steak is served with a pan sauce that's often made
- 39:15Speaker 2: of mustard, koonyak cream and mushrooms.
- 39:18Speaker 5: How long we're gonna give him.
- 39:19Speaker 2: Well, Steve, are you doing this for the drama or
- 39:22Speaker 2: you actually.
- 39:23Speaker 9: I honestly don't know the answer. Okay, it's a little
- 39:25Speaker 9: bit messing me up. That was I was talking about faltering.
- 39:29Speaker 2: It would be incredible that I don't know it would
- 39:32Speaker 2: I would be very satisfied.
- 39:34Speaker 5: How much would you pay for this board?
- 39:35Speaker 11: You'd be very satisfied if it would make it more
- 39:38Speaker 11: interesting the question, Yes, this female name refers to a
- 39:46Speaker 11: steak is served with a pan sauce that's often made
- 39:48Speaker 11: of mustard, cognak cream and mushrooms.
- 39:50Speaker 2: And I'll tell you this. If we go to a
- 39:52Speaker 2: tie breaker, we are going to do three tie breakers,
- 39:55Speaker 2: it will be the best of those three to declare
- 39:58Speaker 2: a winner. Let's not goo. We are very thorough as
- 40:02Speaker 2: an answer, We're declaring a twenty twenty three champion, Steve,
- 40:06Speaker 2: I think we are waiting on you.
- 40:12Speaker 6: It is.
- 40:13Speaker 9: I know it is, dude.
- 40:14Speaker 2: It's just it's like it's not even last shifted the
- 40:17Speaker 2: Morgan anymore. The morgue is closed. Is what's just happened here?
- 40:20Speaker 2: It is silent. You're the only person working.
- 40:23Speaker 1: At the morgue.
- 40:25Speaker 4: This go on, man, Ask consciousness, Steve are you going
- 40:28Speaker 4: to come up with an answer?
- 40:32Speaker 1: The problem is I know it?
- 40:33Speaker 5: Okay?
- 40:34Speaker 1: Can I just get the point? I just can't. I
- 40:38Speaker 1: just can't think of it right now?
- 40:40Speaker 2: Are you going to come up with an answer? I
- 40:41Speaker 2: have wonder Okay, go ahead and reveal your answers. We
- 40:45Speaker 2: have set saying Heather Yanna saying Diane, Randall's saying Diane,
- 40:50Speaker 2: Hansei out of what's that?
- 40:51Speaker 1: Say Steve?
- 40:53Speaker 2: Steve saying.
- 40:58Speaker 1: My old girlfriends.
- 41:01Speaker 2: Brody saying Diane, he got it. The correct answer is Diane.
- 41:06Speaker 1: Dude, listen, I knew it. I have never heard that.
- 41:11Speaker 2: You've never misteak Diana never. Some say the recipe is
- 41:15Speaker 2: named after the goddess Diana and was first served with venison.
- 41:20Speaker 2: Others believe it was created for English actress Lady Diana
- 41:24Speaker 2: Cooper and was made with beef. If you want to
- 41:27Speaker 2: learn how to make it with waterfowl, then check out
- 41:29Speaker 2: our recipe on the Meat eater dot Com called snow
- 41:31Speaker 2: Goose Steak Diane. We are on too question twenty, with
- 41:36Speaker 2: Brody losing to Steve by one point. We would need
- 41:39Speaker 2: Brody to get this right, Steve to get this wrong.
- 41:42Speaker 2: To go to our three question tiebreaker.
- 41:44Speaker 5: Good question.
- 41:45Speaker 2: The topic is conservation. What is the name of America's
- 41:51Speaker 2: largest aquifer which stretches from South Dakota to Texas. It
- 41:57Speaker 2: seems as though Steve has it right.
- 42:00Speaker 1: It's over.
- 42:03Speaker 2: A thousand percent. There's no chance you got this wrong.
- 42:08Speaker 2: Here's the question again. What is the name of America's
- 42:10Speaker 2: largest aquifer which stretches from South Dakota to Texas? Brody All, Brody,
- 42:20Speaker 2: do you have this one right?
- 42:21Speaker 4: I'm pretty sure?
- 42:22Speaker 1: Okay, I mean stress.
- 42:25Speaker 2: I think there's only one real had laid down.
- 42:30Speaker 7: That was like we were at the morgue, but one
- 42:31Speaker 7: of the bodies that was dead is actually still Yeah, at.
- 42:35Speaker 4: Least we made it a good one.
- 42:37Speaker 2: I would really like to know this, really like to
- 42:40Speaker 2: go hold on, Yanni ready we are? Is everybody ready?
- 42:45Speaker 5: Randall?
- 42:45Speaker 2: Do you have an answer? I do, go ahead and
- 42:48Speaker 2: reveal your answers were saying Mississippi water, johann Is saying great,
- 42:54Speaker 2: Randall's saying ogalala, Hansi saying oglala, Steve saying ok lala,
- 42:59Speaker 2: and Brody saying oh.
- 43:00Speaker 1: Said, dare try to question what I have written down?
- 43:04Speaker 1: Do you dare try to put like someone of doubt
- 43:08Speaker 1: knowledge and writing on.
- 43:13Speaker 2: The correct answer. The correct answer is the og Laala
- 43:19Speaker 2: Aquifer or the High Planes Aquifer. At one hundred and
- 43:23Speaker 2: seventy four thousand square miles, the og Lala Aquifer is
- 43:26Speaker 2: one of the biggest aquifers in the world. It covers
- 43:29Speaker 2: portions of South Dakota, Nebraska, Wyoming, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico,
- 43:34Speaker 2: and Texas.
- 43:36Speaker 1: Were just sweating, man.
- 43:37Speaker 2: We just had Steve shake Brodie's hand, which Brody offered
- 43:40Speaker 2: up first one.
- 43:42Speaker 5: Champion falling upon Steve rude.
- 43:46Speaker 1: I started out. Let's recap his release is like palpable.
- 43:51Speaker 1: Let's recap.
- 43:52Speaker 9: I started out where I wasn't doing that good. Brody
- 43:54Speaker 9: started out real strong, you know. Then I slowly, slowly
- 43:58Speaker 9: caught up, and then I started to just dominate, and
- 44:01Speaker 9: then I faltered, but then I recovered.
- 44:03Speaker 5: You didn't stick to your game plan.
- 44:06Speaker 7: No wins.
- 44:08Speaker 2: A win made it interesting. The twenty twenty three Meat
- 44:11Speaker 2: Eater Trivia champion Steve goodwell done. We've had less Steve
- 44:15Speaker 2: this year. It's harder to get this guy on a
- 44:17Speaker 2: schedule to come play, but he wins when he does
- 44:21Speaker 2: show up. And now he's the twenty twenty three champion.
- 44:24Speaker 1: Put that on my grave.
- 44:25Speaker 2: He wins when he shows up.
- 44:28Speaker 4: He wins when he shows up and is a sore winner.
- 44:32Speaker 2: It's a full headstone. I don't think we can fit
- 44:33Speaker 2: anything else on there. Steve. We will get your name
- 44:37Speaker 2: on this plank as the champion, and you get to
- 44:39Speaker 2: choose where the two thousand dollars donation from meat Eater goes.
- 44:43Speaker 2: What's it gonna be, tough choice, biggest donation in meat
- 44:53Speaker 2: Eater trivia history.
- 44:54Speaker 5: We'll give you a time. Make it fun.
- 44:59Speaker 1: We just blew a lot of money, not blue.
- 45:03Speaker 9: We just raised a lot in our with our land
- 45:05Speaker 9: Access initiative. We just raised a good pot of money
- 45:09Speaker 9: for a land acquisition project on the Lori Yellowstone. And
- 45:13Speaker 9: that dwindled the stock. That dwindled the pool. So I
- 45:18Speaker 9: and I know we have some other uh projects that
- 45:23Speaker 9: cow's eyeball in. So what I would like to do
- 45:26Speaker 9: is I would.
- 45:26Speaker 1: Like to put my winnings into the land Access Initiative.
- 45:31Speaker 2: It's probably the first two thousand dollars in there now
- 45:34Speaker 2: of whatever is going to be our next project.
- 45:36Speaker 1: Right So yep.
- 45:37Speaker 9: So in the past, we've contributed on a project in Maine.
- 45:42Speaker 9: We contributed on a project in northwest Montana. We contributed
- 45:45Speaker 9: on a project in eastern Montana, and I would like
- 45:50Speaker 9: to kick the money in there.
- 45:54Speaker 1: For that reason.
- 45:55Speaker 2: We don't know what project. We don't know what project
- 45:58Speaker 2: for would be quite yet, but the l A I
- 46:00Speaker 2: is still going. No no end in sight. Right.
- 46:03Speaker 9: Some dude just dropped off a healthy donation today without
- 46:05Speaker 9: even buying ah auction item.
- 46:08Speaker 5: Okay, yeah, good on five thousand bucks.
- 46:11Speaker 1: WHOA drove it over?
- 46:13Speaker 5: Yeah, they're coming out to el Cor handy cash or
- 46:15Speaker 5: what no check o?
- 46:18Speaker 2: That's great?
- 46:19Speaker 3: But yeah, he felt really good about it. His company
- 46:24Speaker 3: donates every quarter and he felt like this was great
- 46:27Speaker 3: because he could it was just very tangible, could really
- 46:30Speaker 3: see the results of his money.
- 46:32Speaker 2: Phil, could you humor me and tell me a full
- 46:34Speaker 2: leaderboard update at the end of the game to see
- 46:37Speaker 2: we're second, third, fourth?
- 46:39Speaker 5: Just how bad Steve?
- 46:41Speaker 7: I mean, ramble up a little bit. Ramdall got thirteen points,
- 46:45Speaker 7: only three behind Steve at sixteen seven.
- 46:48Speaker 2: Wrong, So would I have won that that that game?
- 46:52Speaker 9: No?
- 46:54Speaker 7: You I got nine points that game, So.
- 46:58Speaker 1: I think let's not call it that game. I think
- 47:02Speaker 1: that it was made quite clear that it was its own,
- 47:04Speaker 1: that it was not that game. There's one. Look at
- 47:07Speaker 1: that look.
- 47:10Speaker 5: Like the last that game.
- 47:14Speaker 1: No, you lost that game, well by a lot.
- 47:18Speaker 2: The game the game that Cal wasn't here for.
- 47:21Speaker 1: The game that my mind saying is Cal left early
- 47:24Speaker 1: in the game, which you then lost.
- 47:27Speaker 2: So he lost.
- 47:28Speaker 1: He left halfway through the game, the one you know,
- 47:31Speaker 1: you know, the game, the one you lost.
- 47:33Speaker 10: We won, We won the second half.
- 47:35Speaker 2: Team exciting would have been if you got a perfect
- 47:37Speaker 2: game and still lost the champions.
- 47:40Speaker 9: If a football team, let's say a football team. I
- 47:42Speaker 9: put a team in sports understand and at halftime football
- 47:49Speaker 9: team is losing one hundred to zero. Yeah, and then
- 47:54Speaker 9: the second half they win a touchdown, they would they say, oh, yeah,
- 48:01Speaker 9: we won that game. No, they lost, they.
- 48:07Speaker 1: Lost a hundred at the end of seventh The coach
- 48:11Speaker 1: would They would not go we won that game.
- 48:13Speaker 10: The coach was these broken, inconsolable youth and he'd say, guys,
- 48:19Speaker 10: it was a rough one, but we won the second half,
- 48:22Speaker 10: and if we get them again, I think we can
- 48:25Speaker 10: win both.
- 48:25Speaker 1: They might say.
- 48:26Speaker 6: If the ref came at the beginning of the game
- 48:28Speaker 6: and said, hey, instead of playing a whatever four quarter game,
- 48:31Speaker 6: we're gonna play an eight quarter games could be twice
- 48:34Speaker 6: as long as it normally is. They might be like, well,
- 48:38Speaker 6: the second half was actually a real game, we would
- 48:40Speaker 6: have won that one.
- 48:41Speaker 2: Next year, we'll go to thirtyctions.
- 48:43Speaker 1: What's your goal? I just thought it was I thought
- 48:46Speaker 1: it was a neat observation. Phil. I appreciate you pointing
- 48:49Speaker 1: it out.
- 48:50Speaker 7: Yeah, of course, the honest I'm left hard points.
- 48:52Speaker 1: I'm heartened by my relative success.
- 48:56Speaker 7: I had tenn head eight.
- 48:57Speaker 1: How long is it gonna take you to get that
- 48:59Speaker 1: little name to deal?
- 49:00Speaker 7: I lose by one or two, Phil, he lost by
- 49:02Speaker 7: one point, Brody.
- 49:04Speaker 2: I don't have an answering about that all year.
- 49:06Speaker 1: Do you get to hang it in your office area?
- 49:08Speaker 2: No, we'll hang it right in here somewhere. We'll find
- 49:10Speaker 2: the appropriate wall space. Where would you like it, Steve?
- 49:12Speaker 2: Would you like it to remind people every time they
- 49:15Speaker 2: watched the show?
- 49:16Speaker 5: Right?
- 49:17Speaker 1: Put it on the door, right above the fulsome point
- 49:21Speaker 1: hang it.
- 49:21Speaker 2: We'll hang it above a journal and you can always.
- 49:24Speaker 9: Keep me my hearfell Custer is above the right. I'd
- 49:28Speaker 9: like to hang it right by right above my head.
- 49:31Speaker 5: There, you're what Custer?
- 49:33Speaker 1: You don't know what's when you're taking a leak down
- 49:35Speaker 1: the hall that here fell Custer.
- 49:37Speaker 5: The giant painting. I just didn't understand what you said.
- 49:40Speaker 5: You said, here fell I have they.
- 49:42Speaker 1: Caught one right and to stern them right.
- 49:45Speaker 2: This is now turned out to something else. The twenty
- 49:49Speaker 2: twenty three champion Steve, well done next time? Yeah, Steve
- 49:54Speaker 2: or Yanni started some clapping, but I don't think we

- 50:10Speaker 1: We know to his credit.
- 50:12Speaker 9: If if someone had put down early I'm talking about
- 50:14Speaker 9: the earlier episode. Okay, just to revisit, probably one of
- 50:17Speaker 9: your biggest mistakes first captain, but if here's why I'm
- 50:22Speaker 9: gonna give you credits, because I think you would have
- 50:24Speaker 9: given the player credit if what I think that if
- 50:28Speaker 9: the answer was l Cappington and someone had written down
- 50:31Speaker 9: to the captain, I like to thank you had given
- 50:32Speaker 9: it to him. So if that's the case, I would
- 50:35Speaker 9: extend that courtesy to you. He would saying State's like
- 50:40Speaker 9: is just not good.
- 50:40Speaker 2: It'll be fixed. Listen twenty twenty four. You'll never hear
- 50:43Speaker 2: that phrasing again. Well, Hosts like Spencer are so good
