Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
• 0:03
Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. In this episode, we're going to pick up
• 0:06
Speaker 1: where we left off with Bill Clinton and his testimony
• 0:10
Speaker 1: to Congress. Jack Emmer. Question. During Ms. Maxwell's interview, she
• 0:18
Speaker 1: stated that President Clinton was her friend, not Epstein's friend.
• 0:21
Speaker 1: Is that accurate? Clinton. I'd say that it was accurate
• 0:25
Speaker 1: to say that I felt closer to her than him. Question.
• 0:28
Speaker 1: And for the record, why was that? Answer, because I
• 0:31
Speaker 1: had seen her more and because she was a very
• 0:33
Speaker 1: good friend with Evelyn Rothschild and his wife Lynn, whom
• 0:37
Speaker 1: I knew and was in regular touch with. Question, and
• 0:41
Speaker 1: then this part in here too. She characterized your relationship
• 0:45
Speaker 1: with her as warmer. Speaker, one of Clinton's lawyers, is
• 0:51
Speaker 1: that your question, Emmer? Question, would you agree with that?
• 0:56
Speaker 1: His lawyer, Bill Clinton's lawyer, once again, warmer than with
• 0:59
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein. Emmer, correct. Bill Clinton, oh yes, but it
• 1:02
Speaker 1: was not in any way sexual. Emmer, at this time,
• 1:06
Speaker 1: I'd like to direct your attention to day two of
• 1:08
Speaker 1: the transcript. And now we're looking at the bottom of
• 1:10
Speaker 1: the page, page 12. And this page, 258 and 259. Wait,
• 1:17
Speaker 1: pardon me, sorry, I'm not with you. The bottom of
• 1:19
Speaker 1: page 12 says 42 to 45. Emmer, of day two.
• 1:23
Speaker 1: Clinton's lawyer, oh, oh, sorry, I apologize. question mr president
• 1:28
Speaker 1: you've had a chance to review the transcript here blanche
• 1:31
Speaker 1: asked maxwell if she has ever visited your home in
• 1:34
Speaker 1: chappaqua to which maxwell testifies that she'd been invited to
• 1:38
Speaker 1: your house and your home for the record did maxwell
• 1:42
Speaker 1: visit your house in chappaqua bill clinton in audible his
• 1:46
Speaker 1: lawyer jumps in excuse me counsel the transcript says i
• 1:49
Speaker 1: went to the house does it say invited did i
• 1:51
Speaker 1: miss that emmer maxwell replies after blanche asked why did
• 1:55
Speaker 1: you go to the house Speaker, meaning the lawyer for
• 1:58
Speaker 1: Bill Clinton. Got it, sorry, you're right. Maxwell says I
• 2:02
Speaker 1: was invited. Emmer, I will repeat the question again. Did Ms.
• 2:06
Speaker 1: Maxwell ever visit your home in Chappaqua? Bill Clinton, I
• 2:10
Speaker 1: don't recall, but it's quite possible she did. Hillary was
• 2:13
Speaker 1: a senator. In the beginning, she had a lot of
• 2:15
Speaker 1: events there, and we knew her. Question, during the same exchange, Ms.
• 2:19
Speaker 1: Maxwell implies that she may have been just driving past
• 2:23
Speaker 1: Chappaqua and stopped in to see if you were home.
• 2:25
Speaker 1: Did this ever occur? Bill Clinton, not that I remember,
• 2:29
Speaker 1: but I may not have been home. Question, but Mr. President,
• 2:33
Speaker 1: is it common for people to just stop by your house? Answer, no.
• 2:36
Speaker 1: I mean, more than one or two people who would
• 2:40
Speaker 1: do that. Emmer, so for the record, you're a former president.
• 2:44
Speaker 1: Does your security detail allow people to show up unannounced?
• 2:47
Speaker 1: His lawyer jumps in again. Well, they allow them to,
• 2:50
Speaker 1: but your question is whether or not the security allows
• 2:53
Speaker 1: them in. Clinton, yeah, they have to be cleared to
• 2:56
Speaker 1: be able to come and go. Emmer, thank you. Thank you, Mr. President.
• 3:01
Speaker 1: I want to ask you about Doug Band. This is
• 3:03
Speaker 1: a new speaker now. Bill Clinton, okay. Question. What was
• 3:08
Speaker 1: Doug Band's relationship with you, sir? Answer. Well, it changed
• 3:12
Speaker 1: over time. But he was basically the last one in
• 3:15
Speaker 1: a long line of young men. They were my sort
• 3:17
Speaker 1: of body people. They were close to me and supposed
• 3:20
Speaker 1: to get me where I was trying to go on
• 3:21
Speaker 1: time and all of that. And then after, he and
• 3:24
Speaker 1: another young man, Justin Cooper, wanted to come with me
• 3:27
Speaker 1: When I left the White House. And when you leave
• 3:29
Speaker 1: the White House, they give you, you get, I don't know,
• 3:32
Speaker 1: a certain allocation for staff. And I think there are
• 3:34
Speaker 1: nine positions you can put on federal health insurance. I
• 3:37
Speaker 1: think that's right. But anyway, Doug and Justin were two
• 3:40
Speaker 1: of them. Question. So you'd say that he's pretty close. Clinton. What? Question.
• 3:47
Speaker 1: You were pretty close. Answer. We were close. And Justin
• 3:51
Speaker 1: wrote my book with me. And he did all the
• 3:53
Speaker 1: clerical work. And Doug was our main fundraiser when we
• 3:56
Speaker 1: started off. Question, okay. I'd like to introduce majority exhibit,
• 4:00
Speaker 1: I believe it would be 18, which is EFTA, 02332287.
• 4:11
Speaker 1: So this is pretty short. This is an email from
• 4:13
Speaker 1: Doug Band to GMAX, which is commonly known as Ghislaine Maxwell.
• 4:18
Speaker 1: Bill Clinton, yep. Question, the email states you're back. Another
• 4:23
Speaker 1: way to get in touch with me quicker is on
• 4:24
Speaker 1: my BlackBerry. Actually, the president's. but we share it. The
• 4:28
Speaker 1: email that's listed there, WJC, is that your email address?
• 4:33
Speaker 1: Or was that your email address? Answer, practically no, I
• 4:37
Speaker 1: never sent one email on it. Question, but you recognize it? Answer,
• 4:42
Speaker 1: I recognize it, and I think Doug thought it would
• 4:44
Speaker 1: increase his cash if he had an email with WJC
• 4:48
Speaker 1: on it. Question, but he's asking you, is this your email, Mr. President? Clinton, no,
• 4:53
Speaker 1: I didn't send emails on it. Question, did you share
• 4:56
Speaker 1: a BlackBerry with Mr. Band? Answer, well, he says we did,
• 5:00
Speaker 1: but I think I finally got another BlackBerry. Question, but
• 5:03
Speaker 1: this was before. Okay, Mr. President, this is back in.
• 5:07
Speaker 1: Think of the year, look at the year, so you
• 5:10
Speaker 1: make sure you're answering the question. It's 2001. He's asking you,
• 5:14
Speaker 1: Clinton's lawyer pops in, was this your BlackBerry or did
• 5:17
Speaker 1: you share this BlackBerry with Doug Band? Clinton, well, I've
• 5:21
Speaker 1: been out of office in nine months. Question, did you
• 5:23
Speaker 1: have a phone, Mr. President? Answer, I don't think I did, anyway,
• 5:26
Speaker 1: but the truth is, I don't remember. Bill Clinton, I
• 5:31
Speaker 1: just know that I didn't email. Question, okay, so you
• 5:33
Speaker 1: did not email. How often do you send emails, or
• 5:36
Speaker 1: did you send emails? Clinton, I sent one email to
• 5:40
Speaker 1: John Glenn, Senator John Glenn, when he was in space
• 5:43
Speaker 1: at age 77, and I sent an email to the
• 5:46
Speaker 1: men and women aboard a U.S. ship in the Adriatic
• 5:49
Speaker 1: during the Kosovo War. Since then, I'm not sure I've
• 5:54
Speaker 1: sent one. Question. Okay. I'd like to introduce majority exhibit
• 5:58
Speaker 1: number 19, which ends two, three, three, five, zero, three, zero. Okay.
• 6:05
Speaker 1: If you're ready, I'll be happy to read it out loud. Again,
• 6:07
Speaker 1: it's from G Max, Glenn Maxwell, Bill Clinton. Yeah, I
• 6:11
Speaker 1: read it. Question. Well, it's redacted. Having seen the unredacted files,
• 6:16
Speaker 1: we believe that the two is the same email. It says,
• 6:20
Speaker 1: sorry to hear about the Bellsburg stuff. It is bad news,
• 6:23
Speaker 1: even worse that it may be damaging. You know that
• 6:26
Speaker 1: one of my pet fears is that in London, I
• 6:29
Speaker 1: am oppressed toxic, so I hope that I never add
• 6:31
Speaker 1: to your woes in that department. If I hear anything,
• 6:34
Speaker 1: I will of course let you know. I cannot help myself.
• 6:38
Speaker 1: There was one juicy little tidbit I did let out.
• 6:41
Speaker 1: The one about what a super stud that you are,
• 6:44
Speaker 1: and how I have a crush on you, and how
• 6:46
Speaker 1: you are hung like a horse. And well, you get
• 6:48
Speaker 1: the picture. Hope you don't mind. Are you familiar with
• 6:50
Speaker 1: this email? Questioned by Bill Clinton's lawyer, are you saying
• 6:55
Speaker 1: at the time it was sent or the preparation for this?
• 6:59
Speaker 1: Questioned at the time it was sent, are you familiar
• 7:01
Speaker 1: with it? Clinton, no. Okay, well, what can you tell
• 7:05
Speaker 1: me about your knowledge of this email? His lawyer jumps
• 7:08
Speaker 1: in once again. God, the lawyer is so annoying. So
• 7:11
Speaker 1: if his knowledge is only from when he was prepared
• 7:14
Speaker 1: for this hearing, that would have been with his counsel.
• 7:17
Speaker 1: Is that what you're asking about? Question, let me ask this, Mr. President.
• 7:22
Speaker 1: Do you believe that Mr. Ban received this email? Bill Clinton, inaudible.
• 7:28
Speaker 1: He says, now I do. Question, okay, so there's more.
• 7:32
Speaker 1: Let me get to the next one. Exhibit, which would
• 7:34
Speaker 1: be number 20. Clinton, and the answer is that I
• 7:38
Speaker 1: didn't know about this. Wait a minute, there's no question
• 7:42
Speaker 1: somebody jumps in. At the time, now Cheryl Mills jumps in.
• 7:46
Speaker 1: I was just asking you to clarify whether or not
• 7:49
Speaker 1: You're asking if he knows about these emails at the
• 7:51
Speaker 1: time they were sent, or if you're asking whether or
• 7:54
Speaker 1: not he came to learn about them in the course
• 7:56
Speaker 1: of preparation, just so that the distinction in time is clear. Question, okay,
• 8:02
Speaker 1: I believe this email is also very short. It's just
• 8:05
Speaker 1: at the top. Again, it's from the WJC email, same one.
• 8:09
Speaker 1: And two, it says, this email is silly. I want
• 8:11
Speaker 1: to spank bottoms tonight. Bill Clinton, who's it from? Question,
• 8:16
Speaker 1: it's from the same email account, the same email. That's
• 8:19
Speaker 1: been used before. The WJC email. What was your knowledge
• 8:23
Speaker 1: of Mr. Vann's relationship with Ms. Maxwell? Bill Clinton. I
• 8:29
Speaker 1: knew he was. Basically, he contacted her in the same
• 8:32
Speaker 1: way that she represented Epstein on things. I did not know,
• 8:36
Speaker 1: nor did I need to know, if they had a
• 8:38
Speaker 1: personal relationship for a while. Question. A physical relationship? Mills
• 8:43
Speaker 1: jumps in. Are you asking him whether or not they
• 8:45
Speaker 1: had a physical relationship? Question. Do you believe they had
• 8:49
Speaker 1: a physical relationship? Bill Clinton, I don't know for sure. Question,
• 8:52
Speaker 1: and just to be clear, and you said it, but
• 8:55
Speaker 1: you did not have a physical relationship with Glenn Maxwell.
• 9:00
Speaker 1: Bill Clinton, I did not. He gets cut off by
• 9:02
Speaker 1: Cheryl Mills. The president answered that question multiple times. Question, yeah,
• 9:08
Speaker 1: thank you, okay. And then finally, I want to move
• 9:10
Speaker 1: on to another question regarding the visits to the White House.
• 9:13
Speaker 1: Are you familiar with Mark Middleton? Clinton, yeah. Question, yeah.
• 9:16
Speaker 1: Can you describe who Middleton was? Clinton. He was a
• 9:20
Speaker 1: young man from Arkansas who was really ambitious. Wanted to
• 9:23
Speaker 1: go to work in Washington. Wanted to have. He knew
• 9:25
Speaker 1: Mack McLarty, my chief of staff, who was from Little Rock.
• 9:29
Speaker 1: And Bruce Lindsay, who was also from Little Rock. And
• 9:32
Speaker 1: he worked with us and then later I think he became,
• 9:34
Speaker 1: I don't know, but maybe he became a lobbyist later.
• 9:38
Speaker 1: But there was a period of time when he was
• 9:40
Speaker 1: in a position to wave people to the White House
• 9:42
Speaker 1: because that was one of his jobs. Question. Okay, so
• 9:46
Speaker 1: he's been identified by multiple news sources to be the
• 9:49
Speaker 1: individual that most of the time was entering or signing
• 9:53
Speaker 1: in Jeffrey Epstein at the White House. Clinton. Yeah. Question.
• 9:56
Speaker 1: What role did he have specifically at the time? Clinton.
• 10:00
Speaker 1: he was working on logistical things in the White House,
• 10:02
Speaker 1: but there must have been someone else who he told
• 10:05
Speaker 1: him to let in. Maybe Mark had, I don't know,
• 10:08
Speaker 1: if he had the authority to let people in. Cheryl
• 10:11
Speaker 1: Mills jumps in once again. You can only testify to
• 10:14
Speaker 1: what you know. He's asking, who did Mark Middleton work
• 10:17
Speaker 1: for in the White House? Bill Clinton, I don't have
• 10:19
Speaker 1: an answer to that. Question, so knowing that he met
• 10:24
Speaker 1: with Mark Middleton or was signed in with Mark Middleton,
• 10:27
Speaker 1: do you have any knowledge of the content of the
• 10:29
Speaker 1: meeting or the topics of the meetings that Mr. Epstein
• 10:32
Speaker 1: would be coming for? Answer, no, I never. Mac never
• 10:36
Speaker 1: said anything to me about meeting him. Cheryl Mills, and
• 10:39
Speaker 1: by Mac, you mean Mac McLarty, Chief of Staff? Bill Clinton, yeah.
• 10:43
Speaker 1: Cheryl Mills, did he work for Mac McLarty? Clinton, well,
• 10:46
Speaker 1: he might have been, but at the time... Was this
• 10:49
Speaker 1: at the beginning of my presidency or the end? Question,
• 10:52
Speaker 1: this would have been, well, this would have been during
• 10:54
Speaker 1: the time, during the 90s, at the beginning. Cheryl Mills,
• 10:58
Speaker 1: 93 to 95, is what they provided before the period
• 11:01
Speaker 1: of time of the visits. Clinton, he was my first
• 11:04
Speaker 1: chief of staff. And then, he became a special envoy
• 11:07
Speaker 1: to Latin America. Question, and this is Mack McLarty? Clinton, yeah,
• 11:14
Speaker 1: Mack McLarty. Question, okay. He gets cut off by Bill Clinton.
• 11:18
Speaker 1: It depends on, well, we could tell what he was
• 11:20
Speaker 1: doing if we knew when this happened. Question, okay, are
• 11:25
Speaker 1: you aware that Mr. Middleton committed suicide? Clinton, I am. Question,
• 11:30
Speaker 1: he was found dead at Heifer Ranch, approximately 30 miles
• 11:33
Speaker 1: away from his home in Little Rock. He's discovered hanging
• 11:37
Speaker 1: from a tree by an extension cord around his neck
• 11:39
Speaker 1: with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his chest. So he
• 11:43
Speaker 1: was shot and hung. Do you have any information? That
• 11:46
Speaker 1: leads you to suspect that he did something other than
• 11:48
Speaker 1: commit suicide? Clinton, no. Question. Do you have any concerns
• 11:54
Speaker 1: that this was in relation to his knowledge or relationship
• 11:57
Speaker 1: with Jeffrey Epstein? Cheryl Mills jumps in. The president, she
• 12:00
Speaker 1: gets cut off of his suicide. She jumps back in.
• 12:03
Speaker 1: Has already testified to the fact that he was unaware
• 12:06
Speaker 1: that Mr. Epstein was visiting the White House. So are
• 12:09
Speaker 1: you asking him then as to what he would have known?
• 12:12
Speaker 1: Question I'm asking when you heard about the death. Knowing
• 12:15
Speaker 1: about the things that have been at this point, it's
• 12:18
Speaker 1: all over the news, seeing that he's committed suicide. Have
• 12:21
Speaker 1: you ever had any conversation with people about whether or
• 12:24
Speaker 1: not there is a relationship between the two? Bill Clinton, no.
• 12:28
Speaker 1: No one's ever suggested it to me. Question, okay, thank you.
• 12:33
Speaker 1: I yield back. All right, folks, we're going to wrap
• 12:35
Speaker 1: up right here. And in the next episode dealing with
• 12:37
Speaker 1: the topic, we're going to pick up where we left off.
• 12:40
Speaker 1: All the information that goes with this episode can be
• 12:42
Speaker 1: found in the description box. What's up everyone and welcome
• 12:47
Speaker 1: to another episode of the Epstein Chronicles. In this episode
• 12:50
Speaker 1: we're going to pick up where we left off with
• 12:52
Speaker 1: Bill Clinton and his transcripts from his conversation with Congress.
• 13:00
Speaker 1: Doing the questioning now is John McGuire. In your opening
• 13:04
Speaker 1: statement you talked about preventing future or more human trafficking
• 13:08
Speaker 1: in our country and I agree with that. I think
• 13:10
Speaker 1: that's one of the big purposes here today. Today we
• 13:13
Speaker 1: hope we can get Justice for the victims, have accountability,
• 13:17
Speaker 1: and transparency. Just curious, have you read the Epstein files
• 13:21
Speaker 1: that have been released? Bill Clinton, no. I have read
• 13:24
Speaker 1: many news stories about them, but I have not read
• 13:26
Speaker 1: them all. Question, and how many Epstein files do you
• 13:30
Speaker 1: recall were released during the Biden administration? Answer, I don't know.
• 13:36
Speaker 1: Bill Clinton, how many? Dave Kendall, if you know. Bill Clinton,
• 13:39
Speaker 1: I don't know. John McGuire, zero. and how many Epstein
• 13:43
Speaker 1: files have been released during President Trump's second term. Bill Clinton,
• 13:49
Speaker 1: thanks to Congress and the victims, quite a number. John McGuire,
• 13:53
Speaker 1: over 3 million. Now, as president, you're chief executive for
• 13:57
Speaker 1: the U.S. And as we get to the end of this,
• 13:59
Speaker 1: I'm going to ask you what we could do to prevent,
• 14:02
Speaker 1: because I think that's what we all care about, is
• 14:05
Speaker 1: what we could do to prevent more human trafficking type stuff.
• 14:08
Speaker 1: So let's talk about Kevin Spacey for a second. In
• 14:12
Speaker 1: a June 2024 interview on Piers Morgan, Kevin Spacey recounted
• 14:16
Speaker 1: noticing young girls on the flight and expressed he didn't
• 14:19
Speaker 1: want to be around this guy Epstein because he felt
• 14:22
Speaker 1: he put the president at risk on that trip to
• 14:24
Speaker 1: South Africa because there were these young girls. So did Mr.
• 14:28
Speaker 1: Spacey ever communicate these concerns with you directly? Bill Clinton,
• 14:32
Speaker 1: not that I recall, no. Question, did anyone else express
• 14:36
Speaker 1: similar concerns about these young people? Answer, no. Question, Do
• 14:40
Speaker 1: you agree with Mr. Spacey's characterization that these young girls
• 14:44
Speaker 1: on the flights were concerned? Cheryl Mills, I'm sorry, what
• 14:47
Speaker 1: exactly is the characterization that Mr. Spacey gave? McGuire, that
• 14:53
Speaker 1: these young girls would put the president at risk. Cheryl Mills,
• 14:57
Speaker 1: so that's Mr. Spacey's concern? And you're asking him whether
• 15:00
Speaker 1: or not Mr. Spacey said that, shared that with him? McGuire, yeah.
• 15:04
Speaker 1: Would he agree with that? Bill Clinton, I had no
• 15:07
Speaker 1: reason to believe that at the time. Question, okay, did
• 15:09
Speaker 1: you ever feel uncomfortable due to the presence of young
• 15:12
Speaker 1: girls on any of these flights? Cheryl Mills once again
• 15:17
Speaker 1: jumps in. When you say young girls, do you mean
• 15:19
Speaker 1: women younger than 18? And so you're saying there were
• 15:23
Speaker 1: women younger than 18? McGuire, I'm asking, yeah. Were there
• 15:27
Speaker 1: anybody on those flights that you can recall under the
• 15:30
Speaker 1: age of 18? Bill Clinton, to the best of my knowledge,
• 15:33
Speaker 1: there was not. If there was, and I knew it,
• 15:36
Speaker 1: I would be uncomfortable. McGuire, that answered. All right. Did
• 15:40
Speaker 1: you ever speak with or otherwise engage with? Well, I
• 15:43
Speaker 1: think you just answered young girls on the flights, so
• 15:46
Speaker 1: I'll move on. Ron Burkle, do you know him? Answer, yeah. Question,
• 15:51
Speaker 1: all right. Ron Burkle commented on Epstein is Creepy. I
• 15:54
Speaker 1: would like to introduce majority exhibit. What's the number? 21.
• 15:59
Speaker 1: Majority exhibit, 21, page 5. The paragraph at the top
• 16:02
Speaker 1: of the page, the last sentence, if you would take
• 16:05
Speaker 1: a look at that. Cheryl Mills, can you say what
• 16:08
Speaker 1: page again? McGuire, sure. Page five, the paragraph at the top,
• 16:12
Speaker 1: the last sentence. Mills, if you can give us a
• 16:15
Speaker 1: minute to read it, that'd be great. McGuire, sure. So
• 16:20
Speaker 1: they get through it, they read it. Now McGuire says,
• 16:23
Speaker 1: so the question would be this. I understand you didn't
• 16:26
Speaker 1: know anything about it, but let me ask the question.
• 16:29
Speaker 1: You have no memory of this occurring, correct? Dave Kendall
• 16:34
Speaker 1: jumps in, another lawyer for the president. Excuse me, are
• 16:37
Speaker 1: you talking about Ron Burkle? saying to the president, McGuire, well,
• 16:41
Speaker 1: let me read the whole thing. Sources close to Burkle,
• 16:44
Speaker 1: it says, he was invited by Clinton, assumed the rod
• 16:47
Speaker 1: was vetted, and flew home on a commercial jet after
• 16:50
Speaker 1: finding Epstein to be creepy. It appears he saw that
• 16:54
Speaker 1: and he flew home early, but that might be as
• 16:57
Speaker 1: it may. Do you have any memory of this occurring?
• 16:59
Speaker 1: Bill Clinton, I do not. Question, why do you think
• 17:02
Speaker 1: that Mr. Burkle would think that Epstein is creepy? Cheryl Mills,
• 17:06
Speaker 1: are you asking for David Kendall objects. Objection, speculative. He
• 17:11
Speaker 1: can't know that. Bill Clinton, I don't know. Some people
• 17:14
Speaker 1: thought I shouldn't fly with him. Question, did you witness
• 17:18
Speaker 1: anything unusual with Epstein that would lead you to believe
• 17:20
Speaker 1: that Epstein was creepy? Answer, no. I never saw him
• 17:24
Speaker 1: do anything that was suspicious. Question, and you don't recall Mr.
• 17:27
Speaker 1: Burkle leaving the trip early to fly home commercially? Answer,
• 17:31
Speaker 1: I don't know. Question, sure. So... Who else in your circle,
• 17:37
Speaker 1: because one of the concerns I have, is how did
• 17:39
Speaker 1: somebody who was convicted of trafficking humans, how did he
• 17:43
Speaker 1: infiltrate the highest level of government? If we could get
• 17:46
Speaker 1: an idea or a lesson learned, we could prevent that
• 17:49
Speaker 1: from happening again. Who in your circle, while you were
• 17:52
Speaker 1: president or after in the Clinton Foundation, who else do
• 17:56
Speaker 1: you think that we should question here? Cheryl Mills, can
• 17:59
Speaker 1: you just clarify one thing? You said, who had been convicted?
• 18:02
Speaker 1: He wasn't convicted at the time. McGuire, Epstein, Mills, yeah. McGuire, no,
• 18:07
Speaker 1: I'm talking afterwards. So people that were associated with him. Mills,
• 18:12
Speaker 1: after he was convicted. McGuire, one of the questions would be,
• 18:15
Speaker 1: is why do you think Epstein visited the White House
• 18:17
Speaker 1: so much? Mills, so he was convicted in 2000 and what, eight? McGuire,
• 18:22
Speaker 1: I will at least have to look at my notes. Question. Question.
• 18:26
Speaker 1: or answer by Mills, and he visited the White House
• 18:29
Speaker 1: in the 90s. So I'm just trying to make sure
• 18:31
Speaker 1: you're not speaking to before he was convicted. You're talking
• 18:33
Speaker 1: about after he was convicted? McGuire? So let me go back.
• 18:38
Speaker 1: So the thing is, he went to the White House
• 18:40
Speaker 1: so many times, and he is connected to the world
• 18:42
Speaker 1: leaders all over the place. Many people have resigned as
• 18:45
Speaker 1: a result of the Epstein files. So I'm just asking
• 18:48
Speaker 1: a neutral question. And based on your experience as a
• 18:51
Speaker 1: world leader, what could we do to prevent predators like
• 18:54
Speaker 1: this from infiltrating the highest levels of the American government.
• 18:58
Speaker 1: Bill Clinton, well, when someone knows about it, they should
• 19:00
Speaker 1: report it, and there should be a system set up
• 19:03
Speaker 1: to act on it. Question, well, I agree with that.
• 19:06
Speaker 1: Is it true that in 2013, Ms. Maxwell was a
• 19:09
Speaker 1: guest at the Clinton Global Initiative Conference? Bill Clinton, I
• 19:12
Speaker 1: don't know. When's the last year we had it? Cheryl Mills,
• 19:16
Speaker 1: 2013 is one of the years they're asking whether or
• 19:19
Speaker 1: not she was there. Bill Clinton, off the top of
• 19:22
Speaker 1: my head, I don't know. Question, well, I understand. That
• 19:25
Speaker 1: she also attended your daughter's wedding. Bill Clinton, she did. Question,
• 19:28
Speaker 1: and so understanding now, the unspeakable evil that these people committed.
• 19:33
Speaker 1: Do you believe it was a mistake allowing them close
• 19:35
Speaker 1: to your family? Cheryl Mills, are you asking if you
• 19:38
Speaker 1: knew at the time when she was at the wedding? McGuire,
• 19:41
Speaker 1: looking back. Clinton, looking back, I had no idea. If
• 19:45
Speaker 1: I had known what she was doing, I would have
• 19:47
Speaker 1: done the right thing. Question, I understand. Bill Clinton jumps in,
• 19:51
Speaker 1: but also keep in mind I felt bad for Ted Wade,
• 19:54
Speaker 1: who was a very close friend of mine, and I
• 19:56
Speaker 1: never had any doubt about him and still don't. McGuire,
• 19:59
Speaker 1: Roger that. Well, I think we would agree that we
• 20:02
Speaker 1: all want justice for the victims. We all want transparency
• 20:05
Speaker 1: and accountability. We want to strengthen our anti-human trafficking laws.
• 20:10
Speaker 1: President Trump has secured the border and gone after the cartels,
• 20:13
Speaker 1: and even passed legislation to help human trafficking victims. What
• 20:17
Speaker 1: other legislation could we do, based on your experience, that
• 20:21
Speaker 1: would help stop trafficking in America, if not the world? Clinton,
• 20:25
Speaker 1: well first, you need to ask people who know more
• 20:27
Speaker 1: about how to get people over it. I mean, there's
• 20:30
Speaker 1: already been large numbers of dollars put into settlements, but
• 20:33
Speaker 1: I think there must be damages to people that will
• 20:35
Speaker 1: take a lifetime to heal. So I think there needs
• 20:37
Speaker 1: to be a lot of study on that. And I
• 20:39
Speaker 1: think there's hotlines that where people make reports need to
• 20:43
Speaker 1: be taken seriously and you need to follow up on them.
• 20:46
Speaker 1: And I think that the more we talk about it,
• 20:48
Speaker 1: the less likely it is another big network will form. McGuire,
• 20:52
Speaker 1: thank you for answering my questions. Bill Clinton, I think
• 20:56
Speaker 1: you're doing good. Just having us talk about it is important.
• 21:00
Speaker 1: Next will be Mr. Grotham from Wisconsin. Cheryl Mills, can
• 21:04
Speaker 1: we get a time check? Answer, you have approximately 15 minutes.
• 21:09
Speaker 1: Approximately 15 minutes remain. Clinton. Okay. Hello, sir. Hello, Mr. President.
• 21:16
Speaker 1: Was Jeffrey Epstein on? You apparently took 26 flights on
• 21:19
Speaker 1: planes connected to Jeffrey Epstein. Was he on every flight
• 21:23
Speaker 1: you were on? Bill Clinton. Was he on every flight
• 21:25
Speaker 1: I was on? Question. Yeah. Bill Clinton. That's a good question.
• 21:30
Speaker 1: If you know, there's a flight manifest, but do you know?
• 21:33
Speaker 1: Bill Clinton. There'll be a record of it, but I
• 21:35
Speaker 1: think he was or certainly on most of them. Question.
• 21:38
Speaker 1: You think he was? Well, that's okay. Was Ghislaine Maxwell
• 21:41
Speaker 1: on every flight you were on, as far as you remember? Clinton.
• 21:45
Speaker 1: Same answer. I think she was, but there'll be a
• 21:47
Speaker 1: record of it. Question. Okay. When you took these flights,
• 21:51
Speaker 1: you're saying a lot of them were on behalf of
• 21:53
Speaker 1: your foundation or your charitable work, correct? Answer. Yeah. Question.
• 21:58
Speaker 1: Who did you normally bring on these flights? I assume
• 22:01
Speaker 1: employees of the foundation, whatever. Clinton. I brought people who
• 22:04
Speaker 1: work with me, especially people who would have to follow
• 22:07
Speaker 1: up on the fundraising or people who were involved in
• 22:10
Speaker 1: my AIDS work. Question, just like I never go anywhere alone,
• 22:14
Speaker 1: you never went anywhere alone, right? Clinton, no. And I
• 22:18
Speaker 1: had the Secret Service with me. And then on occasion,
• 22:21
Speaker 1: I had people who had volunteered to help us and
• 22:23
Speaker 1: wanted to see what we were doing. For example, I
• 22:26
Speaker 1: think it was on one of these trips, I think
• 22:28
Speaker 1: that I had my first trip for the man who's
• 22:30
Speaker 1: now governor of Illinois, J.B. Pritzker, and his wife, They
• 22:33
Speaker 1: helped me get started. It's all a matter of public record. Yeah,
• 22:37
Speaker 1: you know what else is a matter of public record?
• 22:40
  Speaker 1: Virginia's allegation against Pritzker's relative. That's also a matter of
• 22:45
Speaker 1: fucking record. Question, okay, so as far as your normal trips,
• 22:50
Speaker 1: could you rattle off, say, to the four or five
• 22:52
Speaker 1: people connected to your foundation who you remember were most
• 22:56
Speaker 1: frequently on these trips? Or were the most important on
• 22:59
Speaker 1: the trips? Could you give us the names? Clinton, well,
• 23:03
Speaker 1: Doug Band, Justin Cooper, Ira Magaziner, and I can't remember
• 23:06
Speaker 1: who else. I'll be glad to look. Question, we'll give
• 23:09
Speaker 1: you a couple seconds to think. I can't remember who
• 23:12
Speaker 1: worked for me 10 years ago, so I don't expect you,
• 23:15
Speaker 1: but anybody else you can think of? Clinton, it was
• 23:17
Speaker 1: 24 years ago. I'd be glad to try and find
• 23:20
Speaker 1: out who else was there. Question, okay, well, when you
• 23:23
Speaker 1: were on the plane, first of all, what did the
• 23:26
Speaker 1: plane look like when you got on? Can you describe
• 23:28
Speaker 1: what it looked like? Clinton, at first, it looked like
• 23:31
Speaker 1: a commercial airplane. Seats on both sides of the aisle,
• 23:34
Speaker 1: and typically our crew kind of filled it up for
• 23:36
Speaker 1: a few, however many, depending on how many people we had.
• 23:40
Speaker 1: We had staff and friends of the foundation, and people
• 23:44
Speaker 1: who were doing the work. Question, okay, so it's like
• 23:47
Speaker 1: a boardroom halfway back? Clinton, yeah. And then we had
• 23:50
Speaker 1: Secret Service further back, and that was it. Question, okay,
• 23:55
Speaker 1: and how would you spend your time on the flights?
• 23:57
Speaker 1: When you went to Asia or Sub-Saharan Africa... Those are
• 24:00
Speaker 1: quite trips. What would you do on those trips? Answer,
• 24:04
Speaker 1: we would spend a fair amount of time talking about
• 24:06
Speaker 1: what we were going to do at the next stop.
• 24:09
Speaker 1: We worked a lot. Then we read a lot and
• 24:12
Speaker 1: we slept a lot and we always cut out some
• 24:14
Speaker 1: time for card games. Question, okay, I was going to
• 24:17
Speaker 1: ask whether you do cards and you beat me to
• 24:19
Speaker 1: the punch. What kind of cards did you play? Bill Clinton, oh,
• 24:24
Speaker 1: Helen Harts. Question, Harts, I was a player, so it's good.
• 24:27
Speaker 1: You said that the Secret Service was with you Every
• 24:30
Speaker 1: time you went on these trips? Bill Clinton, every time. Question,
• 24:34
Speaker 1: every time? Okay, good. I was never signed off of
• 24:37
Speaker 1: Secret Service protection. Question, okay, did the Secret Service, they
• 24:41
Speaker 1: screen all the other passengers and pilots as far as
• 24:44
Speaker 1: you know? Clinton, they what? Question, screened them. Bill Clinton, yeah,
• 24:49
Speaker 1: they have everybody's name and background and all of that. Question, okay,
• 24:53
Speaker 1: now I ask you about people that were connected to
• 24:55
Speaker 1: the foundation that you brought along, but I take it
• 24:58
Speaker 1: if they gave you an airplane and Jeffrey was on it,
• 25:01
Speaker 1: it was his staff too, correct? Clinton, yeah, they had
• 25:04
Speaker 1: some staff on it. Question, any of these people you remember,
• 25:07
Speaker 1: men or women? Clinton, well, I remember Ghislaine was there
• 25:11
Speaker 1: and there was always other people that staffed the airplane. Question, right,
• 25:15
Speaker 1: I think one of the reasons you're successful is you
• 25:17
Speaker 1: deal with the average guy, right? You like to talk
• 25:20
Speaker 1: to the average guy. but remember the names of any
• 25:22
Speaker 1: of Epstein's staffers that were serving you or that engaged
• 25:25
Speaker 1: with banter about? Answer, well, the one we've been talking about. Question,
• 25:30
Speaker 1: Shantae Davies. Answer, yeah, Shantae. I remember her. Shantae Davies. Question, okay.
• 25:37
Speaker 1: Anybody else you talked about? Where are you from? Clinton. Well,
• 25:41
Speaker 1: I talked to a lot of them. One of them
• 25:42
Speaker 1: was from Hawaii and was a military wife. Question, okay. Clinton.
• 25:47
Speaker 1: I remember, but I don't remember their names. After 20-something years. Question,
• 25:52
Speaker 1: was she Asian? Clinton, no. Question, okay, okay. Was there
• 25:56
Speaker 1: any people you remember joining in? This kind of what
• 25:59
Speaker 1: spread out over what, four or five years? Or two
• 26:02
Speaker 1: or three years, I guess? Two years? Two years on
• 26:04
Speaker 1: the flight. Did you ever get to the Virgin Islands
• 26:07
Speaker 1: other than on these planes? Have you ever been to
• 26:09
Speaker 1: the U.S. Virgin Islands in your life? Clinton, oh yes,
• 26:12
Speaker 1: I worked. My foundation did work in the Virgin Islands.
• 26:16
Speaker 1: Cheryl Mills, and you also vacationed there as president. Clinton, well, yeah.
• 26:20
Speaker 1: And when I was president, Hillary and I vacationed there,
• 26:23
Speaker 1: and we liked it very much. But when we had
• 26:26
Speaker 1: Hurricane in 2007, 17, excuse me, we went to the
• 26:30
Speaker 1: islands and tried to help. My foundation did. And we
• 26:34
Speaker 1: did a lot of work there. Grotham, okay, we have
• 26:36
Speaker 1: another question. When you read about this, and obviously, these
• 26:39
Speaker 1: files have received a lot of public attention. Recently, a
• 26:43
Speaker 1: columnist pointed out that one of the main reasons this
• 26:45
Speaker 1: human trafficking was allowed to exist is there were lawyers,
• 26:49
Speaker 1: sometimes high-priced lawyers, who were able to bring, I guess particularly,
• 26:53
Speaker 1: from Eastern Europe, Eastern European girls through here, negotiate the
• 26:57
Speaker 1: immigration laws, and such. And particularly, some very high-priced famous lawyers,
• 27:02
Speaker 1: who were hired, and apparently, I know they couldn't find
• 27:05
Speaker 1: anything better to do when they left Washington, were engaged
• 27:08
Speaker 1: in helping, I guess girls that some people allege became prostitutes,
• 27:12
Speaker 1: get here from Eastern Europe. Could you comment on lawyers
• 27:16
Speaker 1: who make money bringing girls from Eastern Europe or other
• 27:18
Speaker 1: places around the world into prostitution? Cheryl Mills, sorry, just
• 27:22
Speaker 1: to clarify, you want him to comment on that? Question, yeah,
• 27:26
Speaker 1: I want you to comment. What do you think of
• 27:28
Speaker 1: these people? Mills, you're asking his opinion. Clinton jumps in.
• 27:32
  Speaker 1: I don't like it. Question, what? Bill Clinton, I don't
• 27:36
Speaker 1: like it, but I don't know much about it. Question,
• 27:39
Speaker 1: would you think that, would you? Oh, I'm sorry, I'm
• 27:41
Speaker 1: getting the hook. You know how it is. Saved by
• 27:44
Speaker 1: the bell. Well, why not finish that question? Do you
• 27:47
Speaker 1: think if lawyers help legally or illegally people come into
• 27:50
Speaker 1: this country for the purpose of prostitution, that they should
• 27:53
Speaker 1: be disbarred? Bill Clinton, not unless it's illegal to do it.
• 27:57
Speaker 1: If you pass the law, which said it was illegal
• 28:00
Speaker 1: to provide representation, notwithstanding the constitutional right, he gets cut
• 28:05
Speaker 1: off by Grothman. You think they're sleazy lawyers if they
• 28:09
Speaker 1: do it? Can we get you to say that sleazy lawyers,
• 28:13
Speaker 1: can you say they're sleazy? Cheryl Mills, for the record,
• 28:16
Speaker 1: we think lawyers are fantastic. Question? Thank you, Mr. President.
• 28:21
Speaker 1: All right, folks, we're going to wrap up right here.
• 28:22
Speaker 1: And in the next episode dealing with the topic, we're
• 28:24
Speaker 1: going to pick up where we left off. All the
• 28:27
Speaker 1: information that goes with this article can be found in
• 28:31
Speaker 1: the description box. What's up, everyone? And welcome to another
• 28:34
Speaker 1: episode of the Epstein Chronicles. In this episode, we're getting
• 28:38
Speaker 1: back to the Bill Clinton transcript from his trip to Congress.
• 28:42
Speaker 1: And after we wrap this bad boy up, we'll be
• 28:44
Speaker 1: diving into the Jess Staley transcript. Now we have Nick
• 28:48
Speaker 1: Langworthy doing the questioning. Question. You are widely regarded across
• 28:55
Speaker 1: party lines as one of the most politically perceptive leaders
• 28:59
Speaker 1: of modern time. Your political instincts are very well documented
• 29:03
Speaker 1: and your successes of your political career are well documented.
• 29:08
Speaker 1: How would you describe the substance of your conversation with
• 29:10
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein during the many hours that you spent together
• 29:14
Speaker 1: on the aircraft. Clinton, well, at first, he really seemed
• 29:17
Speaker 1: like he to be like a vacuum cleaner, like he
• 29:20
Speaker 1: really wanted information. And there was no to go back
• 29:23
Speaker 1: to the business with what do you call it in
• 29:25
Speaker 1: the passport? There was nothing overtly manipulative about it. He
• 29:30
Speaker 1: just wanted to know what did I think of derivative trading?
• 29:33
Speaker 1: Did I think that the stock market was properly regulated?
• 29:36
Speaker 1: Or did it need more? How did we have the
• 29:39
Speaker 1: most broadly shorthanded prosperity in 50 years? Was it just
• 29:43
Speaker 1: an accident? Was it just technology? Or do we have
• 29:46
Speaker 1: specific policies? He wanted to know stuff like that. And
• 29:49
Speaker 1: it was great for the first two, three, four or
• 29:51
Speaker 1: five conversations. But I could tell that it was like,
• 29:55
Speaker 1: I mean, you guys are in politics. Don't you ever
• 29:58
Speaker 1: feel like sometimes somebody's talking to you and then they're
• 30:01
Speaker 1: just checking the box that they just go and do
• 30:03
Speaker 1: something else and be somebody else? I mean, that's the
• 30:06
Speaker 1: way I felt. Question. Interesting. The international travel you took
• 30:11
Speaker 1: with Mr. Epstein, it represented a significant investment of time
• 30:14
Speaker 1: and money on his behalf. And I did miss the
• 30:18
Speaker 1: first portion of this. So if any of this is repetitive,
• 30:21
Speaker 1: I apologize. Your arrangement was that you would spend an
• 30:24
Speaker 1: hour of conversation with him on topics that of his choosing.
• 30:28
Speaker 1: Cheryl Mills jumps in. No, he testified, just so that
• 30:31
Speaker 1: you know, on economics and politics. Langworthy, on economics and politics. Okay.
• 30:38
Speaker 1: And that was the arrangement. And the rest was in-kind donation,
• 30:42
Speaker 1: the flights. Bill Clinton jumps in. For all the long-haul flights, yeah.
• 30:46
Speaker 1: If we were gone four hours or more, I'd give
• 30:49
Speaker 1: him an hour. Question, okay. Did you ever ask him
• 30:52
Speaker 1: directly why he was willing to finance these trips and
• 30:55
Speaker 1: provide you with access to the plane? And what was
• 30:58
Speaker 1: his reaction to the question? Clinton, I did. He said,
• 31:02
Speaker 1: I think you did a good job as president and
• 31:04
Speaker 1: you managed to get reelected and you're the first Democrat
• 31:07
Speaker 1: in 60 years that got reelected. I want to know
• 31:09
Speaker 1: what happened and I want to understand it. And that
• 31:12
Speaker 1: was it. And it was like he was trying to
• 31:15
Speaker 1: suck up to me or anything. It was very straightforward.
• 31:18
Speaker 1: But after a while, it was obvious that he had
• 31:21
Speaker 1: done what he intended to do and he was kind
• 31:23
Speaker 1: of going through the motions and he didn't really care
• 31:26
Speaker 1: about what we, What I really cared about, this AIDS thing.
• 31:30
Speaker 1: I thought we had a chance to build something that
• 31:32
Speaker 1: would revolutionize the treatment of all these illnesses. The same
• 31:35
Speaker 1: thing with tuberculosis and malaria. And sure enough, we did.
• 31:40
Speaker 1: But I thought we were on the verge of something big.
• 31:42
Speaker 1: And he didn't much care about it. And I had
• 31:45
Speaker 1: a bunch of people that did, so we went in
• 31:47
Speaker 1: different ways. Question, and as you pointed out, I mean,
• 31:51
Speaker 1: we're all in the political process, certainly not playing at
• 31:54
Speaker 1: the levels that you have in your career. But do
• 31:56
Speaker 1: you believe that this was, in essence, Epstein being a
• 31:59
Speaker 1: political junkie or looking for that association? Answer, yeah. I
• 32:04
Speaker 1: didn't know what else. All I knew that after we started,
• 32:07
Speaker 1: when I got this thing going and people could see
• 32:09
Speaker 1: it like a tugging engine, then we had more and
• 32:12
Speaker 1: more people interested in helping. And I wanted to have
• 32:15
Speaker 1: people there that I knew were just genuinely caring. I
• 32:18
Speaker 1: know it sounds funny, but it matters because when you
• 32:20
Speaker 1: start something like this, you're going to have rough times, spots,
• 32:24
Speaker 1: things are not going to go right. you're going to
• 32:26
Speaker 1: have to solve new problems. Far better to have people
• 32:29
Speaker 1: who are passionate about this. Question, so on these overseas visits,
• 32:33
Speaker 1: did Mr. Epstein accompany you to any of the meetings
• 32:37
Speaker 1: or the private dinners or the official engagements? And if
• 32:40
Speaker 1: he did, what capacity was he introduced? Answer, he went
• 32:44
Speaker 1: to some of the meetings and some of the dinners,
• 32:47
Speaker 1: but the big public dinner we did in South Africa,
• 32:49
Speaker 1: he did, for example, but some he didn't. When it
• 32:52
Speaker 1: wasn't appropriate, When I had to talk to somebody about
• 32:55
Speaker 1: whether I thought they were following a proper legal path
• 32:58
Speaker 1: and trying to let us sell generic drugs, and how
• 33:00
Speaker 1: we're going to get them, there were a lot of
• 33:02
Speaker 1: complicated things. Cheryl Mills, can I get a check? We
• 33:06
Speaker 1: have like a minute left, is the answer. Langworthy. And
• 33:09
Speaker 1: did he ever seek introductions to foreign? Dignitaries or leaders
• 33:13
Speaker 1: from you? Bill Clinton, not that I remember. Question, okay.
• 33:17
Speaker 1: Did he ever ask you to make phone calls on
• 33:18
Speaker 1: his behalf? Answer, no, he never did. I remember that
• 33:22
Speaker 1: he didn't. I mean, I would remember. Question, and you
• 33:26
Speaker 1: said that he was not a friend, but with that
• 33:28
Speaker 1: amount of travel and proximity, why wasn't he a friend?
• 33:32
Speaker 1: And he was an acquaintance? Clinton, well, no. It wasn't
• 33:35
Speaker 1: just an acquaintance either. I felt friendly towards him, but
• 33:38
Speaker 1: he was, as I said in my book, odd. There
• 33:41
Speaker 1: was always something a little holding back, and I could
• 33:44
Speaker 1: tell it was pretty strange the way it happened. Larry Summers,
• 33:48
Speaker 1: the president of Harvard, calls you out of the blue
• 33:50
Speaker 1: and says this guy wants to do it. You do it.
• 33:53
Speaker 1: And then, I like to spend as much time as
• 33:55
Speaker 1: I can with people I know that I can count on.
• 33:58
Speaker 1: And I didn't have, honestly. I never saw anything that
• 34:01
Speaker 1: I knew was illegal, but I just felt I should
• 34:03
Speaker 1: move on, and we did. Question, did you ever have
• 34:06
Speaker 1: any arguments or disagreements with Mr. Epstein or Ms. Maxwell
• 34:10
Speaker 1: in the course of your travels? Answer, not to my knowledge. Question,
• 34:14
Speaker 1: and is there anything that you thought that he was
• 34:16
Speaker 1: looking to monetize the relationship that he had with you? Clinton, no. Question, okay.
• 34:22
Speaker 1: Cheryl Mills, can we get a time check? Bill Clinton,
• 34:26
Speaker 1: my lawyers are going to kill me on this, but
• 34:28
Speaker 1: I have to say, I want to be honest. I'm
• 34:30
Speaker 1: not trying to be a goody two shoes here. I
• 34:32
Speaker 1: did feel closer to Glenn Maxwell because of Ted Wade.
• 34:35
Speaker 1: So I wasn't against the whole deal until I knew
• 34:38
Speaker 1: what they were doing. Question, okay, Bill Clinton, but then
• 34:42
Speaker 1: it was too late for me to do anything about it.
• 34:45
Speaker 1: His lawyer jumps in. I think your response is to the,
• 34:48
Speaker 1: was he trying to ever monetize the relation to your knowledge?
• 34:51
Speaker 1: Was that clear? Bill Clinton, to the best of my knowledge,
• 34:54
Speaker 1: he never did. Question, thank you for the opportunity, Mr. President.
• 35:01
Speaker 1: So they go off record, now they're back on. New speaker. Mr. President,
• 35:05
Speaker 1: I just have a few more questions. I'll try to
• 35:07
Speaker 1: be as efficient as possible as we move through them. One,
• 35:11
Speaker 1: it's moving back in time just a little bit. In 1996,
• 35:14
Speaker 1: Maria Farmer, who was a confirmed Epstein victim, submitted information
• 35:18
Speaker 1: to the FBI that Jeffrey Epstein was sexually abusing minors.
• 35:22
Speaker 1: During your presidency, were you ever made aware of the
• 35:25
Speaker 1: information that Maria Farmer provided to the FBI in 1996?
• 35:30
Speaker 1: Bill Clinton, no and no. Question good. Thank you. I'm
• 35:35
Speaker 1: going to move back ahead to the year 2003. There's
• 35:38
Speaker 1: just one international trip that I don't think we've specifically
• 35:41
Speaker 1: discussed yet. And that was in November of 2003. A
• 35:44
Speaker 1: trip to, I think, Russia. And China on Mr. Epstein's plane.
• 35:49
Speaker 1: Bill Clinton, is that the last one I took? Answer, great,
• 35:53
Speaker 1: so I'm going to give you, I think for us,
• 35:55
Speaker 1: the last piece of paper for the day, which is
• 35:57
Speaker 1: the flight log for that trip. Well, mark it Minority
• 36:01
Speaker 1: Exhibit L, and I'll give you a moment to receive that.
• 36:06
Speaker 1: So he gets the paper, looks at it, and the
• 36:08
Speaker 1: conversation moves on. Question, and for your counsel, that's a
• 36:12
Speaker 1: total of five trips distributed between the fourth, fifth, sixth,
• 36:16
Speaker 1: and ninth year on this log. Clinton, yeah, this was
• 36:18
Speaker 1: another one of our AIDS trips because Ira was on it.
• 36:22
Speaker 1: question yeah so if you could just describe what you
• 36:25
Speaker 1: recall about the circumstances of this trip bill clinton can
• 36:29
Speaker 1: you refresh my memory about what stops were actually taken
• 36:33
Speaker 1: yeah the countries in question are russia and china i
• 36:36
Speaker 1: think the final stop was beijing i don't off the
• 36:39
Speaker 1: top of my head know what the airport codes are
• 36:42
Speaker 1: for each one it was brussels to oslo to talma
• 36:46
Speaker 1: chevo russia to hong kong chengdu beijing bill clinton okay
• 36:50
Speaker 1: let's do it again Question, Brussels to Oslo, to the
• 36:55
Speaker 1: middle of Russia, Tamachevo, to Hong Kong, to Chengdu, to Beijing. Clinton,
• 37:00
Speaker 1: got it. We stopped in Europe. And as I remember,
• 37:03
Speaker 1: we did something with Brussels as the parliamentary capital of Europe.
• 37:07
Speaker 1: And I think we did something with the EU. And
• 37:09
Speaker 1: then Oslo was important because the Norwegians had funded a
• 37:13
Speaker 1: project that we did for them, for the Clinton Foundation
• 37:16
Speaker 1: for Russia. And they asked us to try to develop
• 37:19
Speaker 1: a plan for Leningrad. And we did. Question, what kind
• 37:22
Speaker 1: of plan, Mr. President? Answer, an AIDS plan because Leningrad
• 37:27
Speaker 1: had a very high AIDS rate because it was near
• 37:29
Speaker 1: the ocean and people were coming in and out. And
• 37:33
Speaker 1: I think that's what happened then. And then we went
• 37:35
Speaker 1: to China and I had been doing a lot of
• 37:37
Speaker 1: work on China and it was very interesting because the
• 37:40
Speaker 1: Chinese were eager to get into this and yet scared.
• 37:44
Speaker 1: It was very interesting. If you were in Russia and China,
• 37:47
Speaker 1: you could have been in rural America on AIDS at
• 37:50
Speaker 1: the time. They were very reluctant to discuss this and
• 37:54
Speaker 1: all hung up about it. And the Chinese, with whom
• 37:57
Speaker 1: I had a good relation with at the time, the
• 38:00
Speaker 1: national government asked me, they said, they like you out
• 38:03
Speaker 1: in the country here. Because I had been there in
• 38:06
Speaker 1: 1998 and I had a big trip. And he said,
• 38:08
Speaker 1: we want you to go out there and be photographed
• 38:10
Speaker 1: on state television playing with children and talking to their
• 38:13
Speaker 1: families about AIDS. And that's what the whole trip was about.
• 38:17
Speaker 1: So I was doing that. And I'm almost sure that's it.
• 38:21
Speaker 1: And then we stopped in Hong Kong on our way out. Question. Yep.
• 38:26
Speaker 1: Hong Kong and Beijing. Thank you very much. I appreciate
• 38:30
Speaker 1: that context. Is it correct that while you were on
• 38:32
Speaker 1: that trip, you did not witness or become aware of
• 38:35
Speaker 1: sexual abuse of any kind? Answer. No, we were all
• 38:38
Speaker 1: busy as crazy. And I never saw anything like that. Question.
• 38:43
Speaker 1: Thank you. We have a few events of which we
• 38:45
Speaker 1: don't have exact dates. I'll ask about them one at
• 38:48
Speaker 1: a time. CNN has reported in July of 2003, Ms.
• 38:52
Speaker 1: Maxwell co-hosted a fundraiser for your presidential library and Mr.
• 38:56
Speaker 1: Epstein may have attended. We don't know whether or not
• 38:59
Speaker 1: you attended that event. Do you have any recollection of
• 39:01
  Speaker 1: attending that event? Answer, I don't. I wouldn't be surprised.
• 39:06
Speaker 1: I don't remember anything about it. Question, thank you. An
• 39:10
Speaker 1: investigative journalist named Vicky Ward has claimed that Ms. Maxwell
• 39:13
Speaker 1: accompanied you on a trip to India sometime in 2003,
• 39:17
Speaker 1: including to the Taj Mahal. and that you traveled for
• 39:20
Speaker 1: that trip on a private jet owned by billionaire Ron Burkle.
• 39:24
Speaker 1: Do you have any recollection of the trip I just described? Clinton, no,
• 39:28
Speaker 1: but I want to be forthright here. The first thing
• 39:30
Speaker 1: I did in the way of public service after I
• 39:33
Speaker 1: left office was try to help India deal with the
• 39:36
Speaker 1: aftermath of the Gujarat earthquake, which happened literally four days
• 39:41
Speaker 1: after I gave up the White House. And so I
• 39:43
Speaker 1: called Prime Minister of India, who was a friend of mine,
• 39:46
Speaker 1: and he said I need help. I've got to build
• 39:48
Speaker 1: schools and hospitals, and I can't do anything in the
• 39:50
Speaker 1: small towns and the middle-sized towns and rural areas. I
• 39:54
Speaker 1: only have money to do something in the big cities.
• 39:57
Speaker 1: So I'm not saying I did or didn't do this.
• 40:00
Speaker 1: I have no memory. But I don't want to mislead anybody.
• 40:03
Speaker 1: We were doing tons of stuff, and we needed to
• 40:05
Speaker 1: finance it. So I can't say that I did or
• 40:07
Speaker 1: didn't do it. Question, thank you. In your 2024 memoir,
• 40:11
Speaker 1: you said that by the time Epstein was arrested in 2005,
• 40:14
Speaker 1: that you had stopped contact with him. When do you
• 40:17
Speaker 1: recall being the last time that you had any kind
• 40:20
Speaker 1: of communication with Mr. Epstein? Clinton. The last time I
• 40:23
Speaker 1: remember with him was sometime in 2003. Question Attorney Brad Edwards.
• 40:29
Speaker 1: That's an attorney who represented many of the Epstein survivors.
• 40:32
Speaker 1: Excuse me, counsel. Clinton's lawyer jumps in. I believe there
• 40:36
Speaker 1: was a misstatement there. The book says who in 2008
• 40:38
Speaker 1: had been convicted and jailed in Florida, not 2005. The
• 40:44
Speaker 1: person doing the questioning. I appreciate that. Attorney Brad Edwards
• 40:48
Speaker 1: has represented many of Mr. Epstein's survivors. He claimed in
• 40:51
Speaker 1: a 2011 filing that he believed the Justice Department possessed
• 40:55
Speaker 1: some kind of correspondence from you from 2007 or 2008
• 40:59
Speaker 1: on behalf of Jeffrey Epstein. At any of the various
• 41:03
Speaker 1: points when Mr. Epstein was under investigation, did you or
• 41:07
Speaker 1: any of your representatives ever submit any correspondence to the
• 41:10
Speaker 1: Department of Justice on his behalf? Clinton, I have no
• 41:14
Speaker 1: memory of that. Question, CNN has reported that in 2007, Ms.
• 41:20
Speaker 1: Maxwell co-hosted a fundraiser for Secretary Clinton's presidential campaign in
• 41:25
Speaker 1: New York City. We believe that Christina Aguilera may have
• 41:28
Speaker 1: performed at the event. Do you have any knowledge or
• 41:31
Speaker 1: recollection of attending that event? Answer, I don't. Question, there
• 41:36
Speaker 1: was an email released as part of the DOJ files
• 41:38
Speaker 1: recently that suggested that you may have attended a party
• 41:41
Speaker 1: at Ghislaine Maxwell's home in October of 2009. and the
• 41:45
Speaker 1: publicist Peggy Siegel, as well as Jeff Bezos may have attended.
• 41:49
Speaker 1: My only question to you is whether you have any
• 41:52
Speaker 1: recollection of attending the party that I just described. Answer, Clinton,
• 41:57
Speaker 1: is her home in New York City? Answer, uh, question,
• 41:59
Speaker 1: it would be at Ms. Maxwell's home in New York City.
• 42:02
Speaker 1: Bill Clinton? No, I have no memory of that. Question,
• 42:07
Speaker 1: thank you, it's been widely reported that in July of 2010, Ms.
• 42:10
Speaker 1: Maxwell attended your daughter Chelsea's wedding in Rhinebeck, New York.
• 42:14
Speaker 1: and that she accompanied billionaire Ted Wade, who was at
• 42:17
Speaker 1: least at the time a family friend of yours. And
• 42:20
Speaker 1: you've described a little bit today. You, of course, were
• 42:23
Speaker 1: at that wedding as well. Do you have any specific
• 42:25
Speaker 1: recollection of interacting with Miss Maxwell at the wedding? Answer, no.
• 42:30
Speaker 1: I was an emotional wreck. I was just trying not
• 42:32
Speaker 1: to fall off the little, what do you call the pallets? No,
• 42:35
Speaker 1: the wooden. He gets cut off. Oh, right, right. That
• 42:39
Speaker 1: we walked on the grass with. I knew that she
• 42:41
Speaker 1: was there, and that she and Ted were there. Question,
• 42:43
Speaker 1: and what was your understanding of her relationship with Mr.
• 42:46
Speaker 1: Waite at the time? Answer, well, I thought they were together,
• 42:50
Speaker 1: and I think Chelsea and Mark did too. And they
• 42:53
Speaker 1: were there. All right, folks, we're going to wrap up
• 42:55
Speaker 1: right here. And in the next episode dealing with the topic,
• 42:58
Speaker 1: we're going to pick up where we left off. All
• 43:00
Speaker 1: the information that goes with this episode can be found
• 43:03
Speaker 1: in the description box.
