EA Strategy: Pacing the 100: Beating the Clock on the IRS Special Enrollment Exam · VoraPrep Audio — Professional Licensure & Certification Exam Prep

Hey, welcome to VoraPrep Audio. Today's episode is from our EA Exam Strategy Masterclass: "Pacing the 100: Beating the Clock on the IRS Special Enrollment Exam". Two hundred and ten minutes for 100 questions. That is over two minutes per question. Why do so many candidates run out of time? Form traps. Ava: Marcus, two minutes and six seconds per question sounds generous compared to the CPA exam’s 90-second rule. Why do people still struggle with time on the EA exam? Marcus: Because tax questions often require reading multi-family scenario trees: who qualifies as a dependent under Qualifying Child vs Qualifying Relative, who provided more than 50% of support, and what was their gross income. Ava: And you have to know your form numbers cold. If the question asks whether an EA can sign Form 870 or Form 2848, you cannot afford to spend 60 seconds trying to remember what those forms do. Marcus: Master the top 25 IRS forms, know your Circular 230 penalty thresholds, and you will finish with 30 minutes to review. Marcus: If you want to put this exact strategy into practice with thousands of blueprint-aligned questions and an authentic exam simulator, head over to voraprep.com.
