  Speaker 3: was actually a church setting and there are different responses

  Speaker 3: to it. So and I have to say that that

  Speaker 3: was pretty tough. That was a pretty tough teaching to
• 5:35
  Speaker 3: go through. But praise God, I believe that it will
• 5:38
  Speaker 3: sharpen me, that it will help me equip me to
• 5:43
  Speaker 3: be a better teacher, because this is my heart. I
• 5:45
  Speaker 3: believe people need an understanding. The Bible says, my people
• 5:49
  Speaker 3: perish through lack of knowledge. So I really want to
• 5:53
  Speaker 3: give the information and the knowledge that people will need
• 5:58
  Speaker 3: to make it through this spiritual journe We are on amen. Okay,

  Speaker 3: so let's get to it. The Book of Acts, chapter one, now,
• 6:14
  Speaker 3: chapter four, we saw the wonderful works of the Holy Spirit.
• 6:19
  Speaker 3: That Acts of the Apostles we just went through. Well,
• 6:24
  Speaker 3: I'm trying to I'm trying to get back in my
• 6:27
  Speaker 3: brain because I just taught Acts chapter seven at church.
• 6:31
  Speaker 3: And so now we're falling back, and this is where
• 6:35
  Speaker 3: the apostles were beaten, never persecuted, and they rejoiced, and
• 6:40
  Speaker 3: they went back to their own people and gave a
• 6:44
  Speaker 3: report of what happened, and they prayed for boldness, and
• 6:48
  Speaker 3: they prayed for power. And I've always said in my point,
• 6:53
  Speaker 3: I wasn't able to finish the teaching that fresh win.
• 6:56
  Speaker 3: But my point is that these men are very different
• 7:00
  Speaker 3: from what you see in the gospels. The four Gospels.
• 7:04
  Speaker 3: You see them as disciples. You see them trying to
• 7:07
  Speaker 3: figure things out, getting a little perplexed at some of
• 7:10
  Speaker 3: the teachings and sayings of Christ himself. But at is
• 7:15
  Speaker 3: arrest in his crucifixion, they scattered the apostle. Peter denied
• 7:22
  Speaker 3: him thrice. We saw them hiding behind doors, and very
• 7:29
  Speaker 3: fearful men, hiding from the Jews. But when the Holy
• 7:33
  Speaker 3: Spirit fell upon them, Peter stands up in front of
• 7:36
  Speaker 3: the whole nation, preaches the word boldly, and we saw
• 7:40
  Speaker 3: three thousand souls added to the kingdom. And now even
• 7:44
  Speaker 3: in the midst of persecution, the very men that they
• 7:47
  Speaker 3: hid from have arrested them and persecuted them, and they
• 7:52
  Speaker 3: are asking for more boldness. So that spirit how them
• 8:00
  Speaker 3: back then is available for us now. Amen. And so
• 8:04
  Speaker 3: that was my whole teaching in a nutshell at fresh Wind.

  Speaker 3: That was the point that I was trying to make.

  Speaker 3: So let's see it now, and then we're gonna turn
• 8:16
  Speaker 3: the corner here in chapter five, we're gonna look at
• 8:20
  Speaker 3: an Annias and Saphirah. So we really need to pay
• 8:25
  Speaker 3: attention to this. Amen. So verse one. But a certain
• 8:30
  Speaker 3: man named and Annias, with Sapphia his wife, sold a possession.
• 8:36
  Speaker 3: Right they sold it. Now we know the story. If
• 8:42
  Speaker 3: you have not heard or read this story, they were
• 8:46
  Speaker 3: killed in the presence of God for selling some stuff
• 8:51
  Speaker 3: and lying about it. So the issue wasn't that they
• 8:57
  Speaker 3: sold it. The issue was that they plan what they
• 9:01
  Speaker 3: planned to do with the truth about it. Now, the
• 9:05
  Speaker 3: early Church was a beautiful They were in a beautiful
• 9:09
  Speaker 3: season of unity, and they also were practicing generosity. And
• 9:16
  Speaker 3: Satan tried to corrupt the church from within. Now, remember,
• 9:19
  Speaker 3: the enemy will always tack from two places, either from without.
• 9:24
  Speaker 3: He'll try to persecute the church, and he knows that
• 9:26
  Speaker 3: that doesn't really work. The church usually gets stronger and grows.

  Speaker 3: And I believe personally that one of his most effective
• 9:36
  Speaker 3: tactics is when he joins the church, when he corrupts
• 9:39
  Speaker 3: it from within. This is the first attempt here in
• 9:44
  Speaker 3: chapter five. Now, the enemy couldn't stop the church from
• 9:50
  Speaker 3: the outside. He couldn't stop them in acts chapter four,
• 9:54
  Speaker 3: so he tried to infiltrate it from within. And that's
• 10:00
  Speaker 3: steal his strategy. Today he's tried to join the church's
• 10:05
  Speaker 3: He's a wolf, the ultimate wolf in sheep's clothing. So
• 10:09
  Speaker 3: we definitely need our discernment. Amen, And it says, and

  Speaker 3: he kept back a part is a verse two. And
• 10:18
  Speaker 3: he kept back a part of the proceeds and brought
• 10:22
  Speaker 3: a certain part and related at the apostles feet. Now

  Speaker 3: he kept back. Now in the Greek, that word is
• 10:33
  Speaker 3: I'm not gonna try to pronounce it, but as n

  Speaker 3: in her life check. But it means to embezzle, to steal,

  Speaker 3: or to you miss appropriate. Let me say that again.

  Speaker 3: The word kept back in the Greek means to embezzle,

  Speaker 3: to steal, or to miss appropriate. Now they didn't have
• 11:17
  Speaker 3: to give anything, which is crazy, right, they didn't have

  Speaker 3: to do that, but they pretended that they did. Now,
• 11:25
  Speaker 3: this is hypocrisy, wanting a reputation of holiness without the
• 11:33
  Speaker 3: lifestyle of holiness. Let me say that again. The definition
• 11:38
  Speaker 3: of hypocrisy is wanting a reputation of holiness but not
• 11:48
  Speaker 3: actually living the lifestyle. Now, Verse three says, but Peter said,
• 11:58
  Speaker 3: and a Naias, why has Satan lifted your heart? Excuse me?
• 12:04
  Speaker 3: Why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the
• 12:08
  Speaker 3: Holy Spirit a man? Now, the sin was not lying
• 12:14
  Speaker 3: to the apostle. It was lying to the Holy Spirit,
• 12:18
  Speaker 3: who is God. Now, you can fool people. You can
• 12:25
  Speaker 3: fool pastors, you can fool leaders, you can fool podcasters. Right,
• 12:30
  Speaker 3: you can fool even the people in your life. You're well,
• 12:36
  Speaker 3: it's hard sometimes, I mean you're usually your wife and
• 12:38
  Speaker 3: your children know who you really are. Right, they love you,
• 12:42
  Speaker 3: and sometimes they want to confront you and tell you
• 12:45
  Speaker 3: who you are. But you cannot fool the Holy Spirit.

  Speaker 3: It can't be done. You got to be careful, beloved
• 12:58
  Speaker 3: with just trying to build a rep trying to get
• 13:02
  Speaker 3: things an easy way. And I just want to say
• 13:05
  Speaker 3: this interject this, Satan always wants to give us the shortcut,
• 13:12
  Speaker 3: right he always. Even when Jesus was telling Peter that
• 13:18
  Speaker 3: he was going to the cross and Peter was saying no, no,
• 13:24
  Speaker 3: not so Jesus rebuked him and said, Satan, get behind me.
• 13:30
  Speaker 3: Satan doesn't want us to put in the work. That
• 13:34
  Speaker 3: was what the temptation was all about with Christ Jesus.
• 13:41
  Speaker 3: The temptation was I would give you all these things
• 13:46
  Speaker 3: if you bow down and worship me. I'll give you
• 13:49
  Speaker 3: to you easily. You don't have to go to the cross.
• 13:52
  Speaker 3: I'll give you all the kingdoms of the world. What
• 13:57
  Speaker 3: does that sound like today? It sounds like AI. Of
• 14:04
  Speaker 3: just watching a couple of podcasts about AI and basically
• 14:08
  Speaker 3: how easy it is now to create a hit song, right,
• 14:14
  Speaker 3: a hit single just by typing in the prompts. And
• 14:19
  Speaker 3: now here you are a star that is so satanic,
• 14:23
  Speaker 3: that has Satan all over it. You don't have to
• 14:28
  Speaker 3: go through the training, you don't have to go to
• 14:30
  Speaker 3: the cross to get it. The way of God is
• 14:33
  Speaker 3: always the way of the Cross. And they're suffering there
• 14:38
  Speaker 3: their self, denial, there. There's character building there. God wants
• 14:44
  Speaker 3: to train you. He will always break you before he
• 14:46
  Speaker 3: elevates you. Now you can skip that process and get
• 14:52
  Speaker 3: that hit single and make some money, and your character
• 14:59
  Speaker 3: is all jacked up, all right. Verse four, While it remained,
• 15:10
  Speaker 3: was it not your own? Why have you conceived this
• 15:16
  Speaker 3: thing in your heart? Now? Peter clarifies. The land belonged
• 15:24
  Speaker 3: to Anonius, the money belonged to Anonius. The lie came
• 15:30
  Speaker 3: from Satan himself. The sin was not holding back the money.
• 15:37
  Speaker 3: That sin was pretending to be surrendered to Christ. God

  Speaker 3: doesn't want your show. He wants your heart. Let me

  Speaker 3: say that again. God doesn't want you to act and

  Speaker 3: play the part. This is not a game to him.

  Speaker 3: He really wants your heart. We can truly give him

  Speaker 3: our hearts, and we're gonna do that before we close

  Speaker 3: into the community, to feed the homeless, to have a

  Speaker 3: clothing ministry, pass out clothes to people. It's a good
• 17:37
  Speaker 3: thing to go out and have events, even our event
• 17:40
  Speaker 3: coming up on the twentieth of December. But if I'm

  Speaker 3: just doing good things and I'm not doing godly things,
• 17:49
  Speaker 3: things led by the spirit, led by God, doing a
• 17:52
  Speaker 3: God told me to do, then I've completely missed it.

  Speaker 3: And that's gonna happen our prayer life, in our devotional

  Speaker 3: and truly living this thing and not playing church. Amen,

  Speaker 3: with sin. Well, let me say this. We know that

  Speaker 3: Jesus is soon to come. If you don't know that,

  Speaker 3: you read the Bible, you're familiar with Bible prophecy. We

  Speaker 3: are right here knocking at the door of the return

  Speaker 3: of Christ. Still yet, even people, even people in my family,

  Speaker 3: even my own children and family members, are still playing
• 19:24
  Speaker 3: with God. They're playing around with homosexuality. They're playing around
• 19:28
  Speaker 3: with lying and deceiving, They're playing around with immorality. It's
• 19:34
  Speaker 3: like they're just playing games with sin. And what they
• 19:38
  Speaker 3: don't realize, as we see in this chapter, is that
• 19:43
  Speaker 3: they are resisting the Holy Spirit. Yeah, we might be
• 19:48
  Speaker 3: your parents. I might be a podcaster speaking right here

  Speaker 3: over the airwaves. There might be a pastor or a
• 19:56
  Speaker 3: brother or sister that could read the scripture and share
• 19:59
  Speaker 3: the scripture with you and even pray for you. But

  Speaker 3: if you choose to rebellious and resist, and to be

  Speaker 3: stubborn and go your own way. You resist the Holy Spirit.

  Speaker 3: You're doing despite to the spirit of grace, and you're

  Speaker 3: trampling the blood of Christ underfoot as if it's a
• 20:19
  Speaker 3: common thing. If God did so much to pardon you,
• 20:24
  Speaker 3: so much so that he can forgive you so much
• 20:26
  Speaker 3: to where he paid the penalty for your sin, and
• 20:30
  Speaker 3: you just throw it away and slop them in the face,
• 20:33
  Speaker 3: what do you think is going to happen to you now?

  Speaker 3: The judgment is going to be swift and quick. You

  Speaker 3: will some people say, well, I'm a sin because God
• 20:46
  Speaker 3: is going to forgive me, and I'm gonna pray and
• 20:49
  Speaker 3: give forgiveness. What if in the midst of it you
• 20:54
  Speaker 3: die and go to hell. You don't have that chance
• 20:57
  Speaker 3: to pray. The judgment is to come swift and quickly.

  Speaker 3: was just playing, Oh wait, wait a minute, wait a minute,

  Speaker 3: I'm not the judge, but it doesn't look good. I

  Speaker 3: believe my opinion, he could be in hell right now,

  Speaker 3: being tortured by a demon, being burnt up in a flame,

  Speaker 3: knowing he could never get out, He could be in

  Speaker 3: his eternal place of judgment. And who knows what was

  Speaker 3: his heart? What was his heart dealing with?

  Speaker 3: Mammon? Coveteousness was agreed like? Who was his true God?

  Speaker 3: What did he truly love? If he wants to lie

  Speaker 3: to the Holy Spirit, the only way you would do

  Speaker 3: that is if you don't love god fully, you love
• 21:54
  Speaker 3: something else. You're willing to lie and obey your own desires,

  Speaker 3: and that's worship being another God. Let's get this right,

  Speaker 3: beloved amen, Okay Verse seven. Now it was about three
• 22:24
  Speaker 3: hours later when his wife came in, not knowing what happened.

  Speaker 3: God gave her a chance to tell the truth. Is

  Speaker 3: God's mercy right here? She walked into grace and didn't

  Speaker 3: even know it. She didn't know what happened, and Peter

  Speaker 3: questioned her in verse eight, answered her, tell me whether

  Speaker 3: you sold the land for so much? Peter was he was.

  Speaker 3: This was not a trap. He wasn't trying to set

  Speaker 3: her up. This was Peter giving her a chance to

  Speaker 3: repent of her aids with her husband. God always gives

  Speaker 3: you space. But if you double down on the lie,

  Speaker 3: judgment will follow. God would always give you that chance.

  Speaker 3: He'll give you the warning and belove it. I was

  Speaker 3: in the place in my life where God warned me,

  Speaker 3: and I took key to that. My testimony. I may

  Speaker 3: have to share it. I'm gonna have to take a

  Speaker 3: millions of followers, so pray for me as I share

  Speaker 3: my testimony there. But God told me straight up, if

  Speaker 3: I continue to do what I was doing, I was

  Speaker 3: gonna die. I was gonna get taken off this earth.

  Speaker 3: He will go there. He went there with me, and

  Speaker 3: I took heed and with all that is in me,

  Speaker 3: I'm not going back to that my old life. Amen. First, now, now,

  Speaker 3: and how is it that you have agreed together to
• 24:28
  Speaker 3: test the Holy Spirit of the Lord. They didn't just lie.

  Speaker 3: They tested the Holy Spirit and they thought that He
• 24:43
  Speaker 3: would not notice. They thought they could just get away
• 24:47
  Speaker 3: with it. Now, some sins are not mistakes. Some sins
• 24:56
  Speaker 3: are agreements. And anayas he made a made a mistake.

  Speaker 3: It may have been an error, but she just agreed
• 25:05
  Speaker 3: with his foolishness. And now we know that in church,
• 25:12
  Speaker 3: our church, we honor marriage. We have a hat sid ministry.

  Speaker 3: Her couples come together and pouring too their marriage, and

  Speaker 3: it's a great thing, especially according to the Word of God.

  Speaker 3: It's an amazing thing to be married. Our pastor, they've

  Speaker 3: been married of forty years, I believe, to the same woman.

  Speaker 3: They raised their children together. They are living a blessed life.
