Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Tampa Bay's best music is Magic, 94.9.
- 0:04Speaker 2: And welcome to a new episode of Scotty and Abby Unfiltered.
- 0:07Speaker 2: I'm going to throw this at you really quick, Abby,
- 0:08Speaker 2: because I haven't asked all morning.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Whoa, whoa.
- 0:10Speaker 3: I know, I know, I know. Check it out. Do
- 0:12Speaker 3: you notice my new hairstyle this morning?
- 0:14Speaker 2: Um.
- 0:15Speaker 1: Come on!
- 0:16Speaker 2: You gotta tell me this looks different. Like, I'm really
- 0:18Speaker 2: starting to slick it back. I'm trying to get that whole.
- 0:21Speaker 1: You're getting somewhere.
- 0:22Speaker 3: It's such an improvement.
- 0:23Speaker 1: It's hard because you have headphones on. Did you get
- 0:25Speaker 1: it cut?
- 0:26Speaker 3: No.
- 0:27Speaker 2: No, this is literally just me putting a little product and, like,
- 0:29Speaker 2: slicking it back. It's a little crappy now that it's.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Been a couple hours. Okay, yeah, I mean, it looks
- 0:32Speaker 1: better than it usually does, but, I mean, that's not
- 0:33Speaker 1: really saying much. If you guys can't see Scotty, Scotty's been... Also,
- 0:38Speaker 1: side note.
- 0:40Speaker 2: Scott.
- 0:41Speaker 1: Okay. Hang on.
- 0:41Speaker 3: Okay.
- 0:42Speaker 1: My ADHD is kicking in. I'm going to Italy so
- 0:44Speaker 1: I can't focus. So Scott wants to grow out his
- 0:47Speaker 1: hair like the guys on the lightning. Correct.
- 0:49Speaker 3: I'm trying to get that flow.
- 0:50Speaker 1: What triggered this sudden grow out phase? Because you've been
- 0:54Speaker 1: doing the high and tight fade for forever. Like I
- 0:56Speaker 1: was looking back at old photos and videos just from
- 0:59Speaker 1: When I first moved here back in February, I'm like,
- 1:00Speaker 1: oh my God, Scott looks so different. I'm like, oh,
- 1:02Speaker 1: it's the hair. So what triggered this? Are you going
- 1:05Speaker 1: through something?
- 1:06Speaker 2: No, I think it's a new evolution of me, but
- 1:08Speaker 2: there is a couple moments. So the first moment, and
- 1:11Speaker 2: this is, it doesn't need to be intimate. It doesn't
- 1:15Speaker 2: need to be like that. But there was a moment.
- 1:17Speaker 1: This is the Unfiltered Podcast, so I want to know
- 1:19Speaker 1: what position you are in.
- 1:22Speaker 2: So my girl from Brianda, when we first started dating,
- 1:24Speaker 2: I remember like I had my hair a little longer
- 1:26Speaker 2: than normal. And she like put her hand behind my head.
- 1:29Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:29Speaker 3: And she's like, she made a comment like, oh, I
- 1:31Speaker 3: like that. Like, you know, I could run my fingers
- 1:33Speaker 3: through your hair.
- 1:34Speaker 1: And you Pavlov-dogged it? Literally.
- 1:36Speaker 2: I was like, wait a second. My brain, I kid
- 1:38Speaker 2: you not, was like, ding. She likes to, you know,
- 1:41Speaker 2: be able to grab like the back of my head.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Yeah. I don't know a girl that doesn't like to
- 1:46Speaker 1: do that.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Well, that was the first little C that said, wait
- 1:49Speaker 2: a second, what am I doing? Always getting it so short.
- 1:52Speaker 2: And I was already starting to do it a little
- 1:53Speaker 2: bit longer because. I started putting photos on ChatGPT and
- 1:57Speaker 2: chat would be like, yo, to improve your looks, you
- 1:59Speaker 2: should might, you know, don't do it so high and
- 2:01Speaker 2: tight and maybe let a little bit more length.
- 2:04Speaker 3: So I was like, wait a second, there might be
- 2:05Speaker 3: something there. And then it was the show off campus.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Watching the show off campus and seeing those dudes with
- 2:10Speaker 2: that flow and our discussions about like, why do you
- 2:14Speaker 2: guys cut their hair so short when they have hair
- 2:15Speaker 2: to grow?
- 2:16Speaker 3: Why don't they grow it out? And I was like.
- 2:17Speaker 3: You know what? That's a good point. I'm going to
- 2:19Speaker 3: commit to this. And it doesn't hurt.
- 2:21Speaker 2: My very last reason, it's definitely not the ultimate one,
- 2:24Speaker 2: but it definitely saves money.
- 2:25Speaker 3: Because now I'm not buying haircuts. And it's not horrible,
- 2:28Speaker 3: but it's.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Like $ 40 every month. Yeah.
- 2:31Speaker 3: I've saved... How many months are we in?
- 2:33Speaker 1: $ 2.
- 2:33Speaker 2: I've probably saved like $ 300 by not getting my hair cut.
- 2:37Speaker 1: And that's more money you can spend on your lady.
- 2:38Speaker 3: Exactly. So those are the seeds.
- 2:41Speaker 1: You are getting somewhere. And I did see that a guy...
- 2:45Speaker 1: popped up on my tiktok page he has long hair
- 2:47Speaker 1: kind of like that too and he gets semi perms
- 2:50Speaker 1: so i didn't realize this was a thing that guys
- 2:52Speaker 1: even knew about because i didn't know this was a
- 2:53Speaker 1: thing i don't know any of these when i think
- 2:55Speaker 1: of women getting perms i think of like women in
- 2:57Speaker 1: their 60s sitting at the beauty parlor all curly all
- 3:00Speaker 1: curly and they get the helmet head but i guess
- 3:02Speaker 1: you can get a semi permanent or yeah a semi
- 3:05Speaker 1: perm and it just gives your hair some wave and
- 3:08Speaker 1: texture and He looked good.
- 3:11Speaker 3: I would definitely do that.
- 3:12Speaker 1: You should for sure look into that.
- 3:14Speaker 2: A reason why I didn't do it for years is
- 3:16Speaker 2: I didn't think my hair would grow like that. When
- 3:18Speaker 2: I grew hair out in middle school, nobody told me
- 3:21Speaker 2: how to style it or do anything with it. It
- 3:23Speaker 2: just came down like a helmet. So it was just long.
- 3:26Speaker 2: I looked like Justin Bieber. That was the look back then.
- 3:28Speaker 2: But in my head, I was like, well, that's how
- 3:30Speaker 2: it would always grow if I grew it out. Until
- 3:32Speaker 2: I saw off campus and how those guys do it.
- 3:34Speaker 3: Because everyone on.
- 3:35Speaker 2: TikTok, there's so many guys that are like, You got
- 3:37Speaker 2: to ask your salon person for the Italian scissors and
- 3:40Speaker 2: all that.
- 3:41Speaker 3: I'm like, yeah, but that's for your hairstyle. That's not
- 3:43Speaker 3: going to work for me. Wrong.
- 3:45Speaker 2: As I'm learning now, even if I just do a
- 3:47Speaker 2: little product and I throw my hair back, wait a second,
- 3:50Speaker 2: we might be getting somewhere.
- 3:52Speaker 3: So now it's a new evolution.
- 3:53Speaker 1: You do have a little bit of texture. I'm seeing
- 3:55Speaker 1: some of it come through. You're not giving Lego head. No.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Although last time I went out of town, you went
- 4:00Speaker 1: full Lego. I don't know. Where was I? What was
- 4:03Speaker 1: the last time? Was I in Nantucket?
- 4:05Speaker 3: You were in Nantucket. I'll shoot the video.
- 4:07Speaker 1: I was on island and someone texted me. They said,
- 4:09Speaker 1: what's going on with Scotty's hair?
- 4:10Speaker 3: They texted you that?
- 4:11Speaker 1: Yeah, my friend texted me. She's like, what's going on
- 4:13Speaker 1: with Scotty? And so I went to the Instagram. I
- 4:15Speaker 1: was like, what is going on with Scotty? And then
- 4:16Speaker 1: you posted this video and I was like, good Lord.
- 4:19Speaker 3: This guy's gone completely.
- 4:20Speaker 1: I'm gone for one day and he looks like a
- 4:23Speaker 1: full blockhead. Oh.
- 4:25Speaker 3: Well, okay, so here's what's going to happen.
- 4:27Speaker 2: So when you're in Italy, I'm going to come up
- 4:28Speaker 2: here with sweatpants on, a t-shirt, and just like no care.
- 4:32Speaker 3: Probably a hat on.
- 4:33Speaker 1: You're dressing up for me?
- 4:34Speaker 2: What?
- 4:34Speaker 3: Well, I mean, I put a little bit more effort
- 4:36Speaker 3: because I'm seeing you. I don't want to come in
- 4:37Speaker 3: here like a slob.
- 4:38Speaker 1: As opposed to me who comes in looking like a slob?
- 4:41Speaker 2: No, I mean, like in my hair, the whole thing.
- 4:43Speaker 2: I don't do the whole like makeup and shebang.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:46Speaker 3: But the next week, I'm going to come in here
- 4:49Speaker 3: looking raggedy. And I'm so excited.
- 4:51Speaker 2: Like, I'm going to have the show kind of just ready,
- 4:52Speaker 2: and I'm going to walk in and just be able
- 4:54Speaker 2: to hang out.
- 4:54Speaker 1: It's a vacation for you.
- 4:55Speaker 3: It's not a vacation, but kind of a vacation.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Vacation for me, vacation for you.
- 4:59Speaker 3: Exactly. You know, mi casa es su casa.
- 5:01Speaker 1: It's an excuse, because then, like, if the ratings are bad,
- 5:03Speaker 1: you'd be like, well, Abby was in Italy that week.
- 5:05Speaker 1: What was I supposed to do?
- 5:05Speaker 3: What do you want me to do? Like, I'm just
- 5:07Speaker 3: holding this by tape and glue sticks.
- 5:09Speaker 1: You want her to not go to Italy?
- 5:10Speaker 3: Yeah, she deserves a trip.
- 5:12Speaker 1: I do deserve a trip.
- 5:13Speaker 3: So that's what I did differently.
- 5:14Speaker 2: I did this when I went home to Vero, and
- 5:17Speaker 2: we went out to dinner with my dad and Brianda.
- 5:19Speaker 2: And I just tried something. I just threw my hair
- 5:21Speaker 2: back and I was like, wait a second. I think
- 5:23Speaker 2: it's finally at that length where it'll stay.
- 5:25Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:25Speaker 3: Kind of. A lot of product.
- 5:26Speaker 1: You're getting there. I feel like you need to cut. Like,
- 5:29Speaker 1: I feel like it's too long over your ears.
- 5:31Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm scared to get a cut, though, because it's
- 5:33Speaker 3: like you work on this length for so long.
- 5:34Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:35Speaker 2: You're like, gosh, do I just commit a little bit longer?
- 5:37Speaker 2: And then when I get a cut, it's like fully shaped.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Well, just like over over the years, maybe. But I
- 5:41Speaker 1: felt I just got my haircut yesterday. And this is
- 5:43Speaker 1: the longest my hair has been in years. I don't
- 5:45Speaker 1: know if I was just asking for too many layers
- 5:48Speaker 1: or whatever, but I feel like every time I've gotten
- 5:50Speaker 1: my haircut the last couple of years from many people,
- 5:53Speaker 1: it's not like just one hairstylist. My hair just kind
- 5:55Speaker 1: of stays at the same length.
- 5:56Speaker 3: It's sort of like.
- 5:58Speaker 1: Past the shoulders, like long, but not like long. And
- 6:01Speaker 1: then I sat in front of the mirror at my
- 6:03Speaker 1: new stylist yesterday and I said, my hair is like
- 6:05Speaker 1: crazy long. And she goes, I know. And I said,
- 6:07Speaker 1: so don't you dare fuck it up.
- 6:10Speaker 3: Oh, there you go.
- 6:11Speaker 1: But I got nervous for the first time in years.
- 6:13Speaker 1: I got nervous. I was like, is this true? Is there's,
- 6:15Speaker 1: I've worked so hard on this length now. Do I
- 6:16Speaker 1: need to stop getting haircuts?
- 6:18Speaker 3: That's literally how I feel.
- 6:19Speaker 2: I'm like, I've worked so hard and I've been so
- 6:20Speaker 2: committed to not cut, not trim. Even I've gone through
- 6:23Speaker 2: the ugly phase. Like I'm finally coming out of the
- 6:25Speaker 2: ugly duckling phase where I'm like, Okay. It's starting to
- 6:28Speaker 2: look like maybe it could do the thing.
- 6:30Speaker 1: You're getting there. But you should go to the stylist
- 6:32Speaker 1: that I sent you because she likes doing men's cuts.
- 6:34Speaker 3: I will definitely reach out to her because I'm curious
- 6:36Speaker 3: if she could. I'll send her.
- 6:38Speaker 2: Maybe I'll just sit with her and ask, is this
- 6:40Speaker 2: an appropriate time to do a little chop chop?
- 6:42Speaker 3: Yeah. Not a big one.
- 6:43Speaker 1: Just a trim over the ears, I think, would be.
- 6:46Speaker 3: What's wrong with over the ears? It's kind of cool.
- 6:47Speaker 3: It feels crazy with headphones on.
- 6:48Speaker 1: Take your headphones off because.
- 6:50Speaker 3: Let me see.
- 6:51Speaker 1: Turn to the right. Yeah, I don't think it's supposed
- 6:54Speaker 1: to cover your ears like that.
- 6:55Speaker 3: Oh, I thought that was like the cool thing.
- 6:57Speaker 2: I see a lot of guys like trim up by
- 6:59Speaker 2: their ears and like they have a little bit of
- 7:00Speaker 2: a shave.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:01Speaker 3: And then it kind of goes over.
- 7:02Speaker 1: No, no. The guys have to stop doing the fade.
- 7:06Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:07Speaker 1: And some people can pull off a fade. That's not
- 7:08Speaker 1: saying all, hashtag all men need to not have a fade.
- 7:11Speaker 1: Because sometimes it depends on your hair texture, all the things.
- 7:13Speaker 1: But if you can grow out your hair long, most
- 7:15Speaker 1: women would rather see you with a lot of hair.
- 7:17Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, that's why I was just in a whole
- 7:18Speaker 2: discussion with our big, big boss here in the building.
- 7:21Speaker 3: And we're talking about, like, balding and stuff. And we're
- 7:23Speaker 3: talking about me growing up.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Jason? Scary Jason?
- 7:24Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah.
- 7:25Speaker 2: And he was like, oh, so you're committing to it.
- 7:27Speaker 2: I was like, yeah, well, I got it. I'm like,
- 7:29Speaker 2: I don't know how long I'm going to have it.
- 7:30Speaker 2: And he's like, let me see your forehead.
- 7:31Speaker 3: And I showed him my forehead. He's like, you're fine.
- 7:33Speaker 3: You know, when I was your age, I was receding already.
- 7:35Speaker 1: I'm like, I don't know.
- 7:37Speaker 2: It could happen at any time. I'm turning 30 this year.
- 7:39Speaker 2: And so this could be the decade where it's like,
- 7:40Speaker 2: all of a sudden, it starts shooting back.
- 7:43Speaker 3: Yeah, but you can go to Turkey. I'll tell you
- 7:45Speaker 3: right here on this. I will. Like, 100%, I will
- 7:48Speaker 3: go and do that.
- 7:48Speaker 2: I'm so.
- 7:50Speaker 3: pretty much.
- 7:50Speaker 2: What i've noticed is every dude celebrity has done it
- 7:54Speaker 2: they don't talk about it i wish they did because
- 7:55Speaker 2: that would make it a lot easier for us normal
- 7:57Speaker 2: dudes to be like it's cool to go to turkey
- 7:59Speaker 2: but pretty much all of them have and i said
- 8:00Speaker 2: it here on the podcast before but a good example
- 8:03Speaker 2: is like look at og photos of tom brady and
- 8:05Speaker 2: look at him now.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Uh-huh he looks great he looks so good you got
- 8:08Speaker 1: the buckle fat removal yeah that.
- 8:10Speaker 2: Okay well the chin implant those chins look crazy but
- 8:13Speaker 2: his hair looks completely different it looks so good where
- 8:15Speaker 2: i'm like damn, that man, I wish he would just
- 8:18Speaker 2: be open about like, what was his process? Who did
- 8:20Speaker 2: he go to? Because so many women now on the internet,
- 8:22Speaker 2: they're like open about all the different touch-ups they have.
- 8:25Speaker 2: And I'm sure that makes it easier as another woman
- 8:28Speaker 2: to be like, oh, that's cool.
- 8:29Speaker 3: Like I don't feel so taboo going to get it done.
- 8:32Speaker 1: Cause it's also overwhelming. Cause you see a celebrity that
- 8:34Speaker 1: looks really good and you're like, I'll do whatever it
- 8:36Speaker 1: takes to like, what do I, how much do I
- 8:37Speaker 1: have to pay to look like that? And it's usually
- 8:39Speaker 1: some kind of crazy laser and you got to get
- 8:41Speaker 1: it done four times a year. But like, that's what
- 8:43Speaker 1: I mean is Women are committed to the bit. And
- 8:46Speaker 1: so if a dude could just have good hair, that's
- 8:48Speaker 1: just one thing you gotta do. One and done, baby,
- 8:50Speaker 1: and you're cruising.
- 8:51Speaker 3: It is crazy.
- 8:51Speaker 2: Like, we do, like, when we get ready to go
- 8:53Speaker 2: out to dinner, I do, honestly, not the bare minimum.
- 8:57Speaker 2: I think I do a level up than most dudes.
- 8:59Speaker 2: But I'm done in like 10 minutes.
- 9:01Speaker 1: You shower, you take a shit, put on your clothes,
- 9:04Speaker 1: put on some cologne, and there you are.
- 9:05Speaker 3: And I'm sitting there on the couch.
- 9:06Speaker 1: And you're sitting on the couch ready to go, whereas
- 9:08Speaker 1: it takes forever for women.
- 9:10Speaker 3: It's crazy.
- 9:11Speaker 1: It'd be funny to see Tom Brady do like a,
- 9:12Speaker 1: get ready with me while I tell you all the
- 9:14Speaker 1: procedures I've done.
- 9:15Speaker 3: I wish he did.
- 9:17Speaker 2: Like, I wish he was like, okay, here's how I
- 9:19Speaker 2: do my hair. Here's what I put on my face.
- 9:21Speaker 2: Because I know that man's not going out raw face.
- 9:23Speaker 3: No. I don't even know if that's a term, but
- 9:24Speaker 3: I'm going to call it.
- 9:24Speaker 1: I don't know how I feel about the term raw face.
- 9:26Speaker 1: I like it.
- 9:26Speaker 2: That's kind of you going out just naked face, just raw.
- 9:30Speaker 2: And I'm sure he's putting something on. I'm sure he's
- 9:31Speaker 2: putting on like a tinted moisturizer like I have that
- 9:34Speaker 2: could be considered makeup.
- 9:35Speaker 1: An SPF. Oh, yeah.
- 9:36Speaker 2: He's putting on all the products to really glow and shine,
- 9:39Speaker 2: especially on TV, of course. But that would make so
- 9:42Speaker 2: many other dudes be like, I could level up for
- 9:44Speaker 2: my lady. I could look a lot better if I
- 9:47Speaker 2: just comb my hair before I go out.
- 9:48Speaker 1: And it's just so easy for guys to be attractive.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Like my mom texted me today. We were talking about
- 9:53Speaker 1: this during the show. My mom said, yeah, your dad
- 9:55Speaker 1: gave up carbs and he lost 30 pounds.
- 9:58Speaker 3: It's nuts how our bodies work like that.
- 9:59Speaker 1: It's insane. I'm like, do you know how hard it
- 10:01Speaker 1: is for women to lose 5 pounds?
- 10:04Speaker 2: Yeah, it isn't fair. Like, the way our bodies react
- 10:06Speaker 2: differently to things. Like, I could cut out one meal
- 10:09Speaker 2: and I'll be like.
- 10:09Speaker 1: All of a sudden, your snatch is like... That's why
- 10:12Speaker 1: I think... I think that's why women and a lot
- 10:14Speaker 1: of my single friends have been in this kind of
- 10:16Speaker 1: exasperated feeling when it comes to men. It's just... It's so...
- 10:20Speaker 1: easy for you guys to be the beauty standard for
- 10:22Speaker 1: men and so many men are not and i don't
- 10:26Speaker 1: even necessarily mean the beauty standard but like your character
- 10:28Speaker 1: as well like it's so easy for a good guy
- 10:31Speaker 1: to become a really high quality guy that most women
- 10:33Speaker 1: want to date but most men.
- 10:35Speaker 2: Aren't trying oh my god no yeah it's actually rare
- 10:38Speaker 2: to see a guy that's trying like if you go
- 10:40Speaker 2: out like if you went out tonight i was just
- 10:42Speaker 2: looking at a singles event at like lower deck in
- 10:44Speaker 2: tampa This weekend. If you go out, you'll see 90%
- 10:47Speaker 2: of the dudes are just showing up.
- 10:49Speaker 3: T-shirt, maybe some pants on. They're good. The 10% are
- 10:54Speaker 3: going to look fantastic.
- 10:55Speaker 1: And they're going to have all the women surrounding them.
- 10:58Speaker 1: And the 90% of guys are going to go, well,
- 10:59Speaker 1: they're only going up to the top 10% of guys.
- 11:02Speaker 1: None of us are getting hit on. It's because they
- 11:03Speaker 1: look like what women want guys to look like.
- 11:05Speaker 3: That was literally the beginning of this year.
- 11:07Speaker 2: I cannot wait to show the photos side by side of,
- 11:11Speaker 2: October 18th of 2025 versus this October 18th.
- 11:16Speaker 3: That was my birthday.
- 11:17Speaker 2: And to see how I look different. Because I looked
- 11:20Speaker 2: at my photo from last year and I'm like, God dang.
- 11:23Speaker 2: thought in the moment I was hot shit but then
- 11:26Speaker 2: I learned about putting an effort and like what I
- 11:28Speaker 2: could do to my skin and how I could cut
- 11:29Speaker 2: my hair differently and it's nuts the difference even just
- 11:33Speaker 2: like growing out a little bit of facial hair like
- 11:35Speaker 2: for me that worked and it sounds dumb but that
- 11:38Speaker 2: was all help with like AI I literally was just
- 11:40Speaker 2: like AI What do I do?
- 11:42Speaker 1: I know.
- 11:43Speaker 3: How can I look different?
- 11:43Speaker 1: You know how frustrating it is, though? Because I've done this, too.
- 11:45Speaker 1: I've put my photo in. I'm like, what do I
- 11:46Speaker 1: need to do? I've already gotten the nose job, and
- 11:48Speaker 1: I get protect. And when AI has, like, no tips
- 11:51Speaker 1: for you, they're like, well, seems like you've done all
- 11:53Speaker 1: that you can do.
- 11:54Speaker 3: You've hit the end of the road. You've hit the
- 11:56Speaker 3: end of the.
- 11:56Speaker 2: Road, girl.
- 11:58Speaker 1: Good luck. And so I'm like, what?
- 11:59Speaker 2: No!
- 11:59Speaker 1: I want to look, how do I, if I already
- 12:01Speaker 1: look great, I want to look even better.
- 12:03Speaker 2: The endless cycle of it.
- 12:04Speaker 1: I'm going to start injecting my own plasma into my
- 12:07Speaker 1: skin next.
- 12:08Speaker 3: I think that's where it's hard.
- 12:09Speaker 2: Like, for guys, like, I think the only thing that really, like,
- 12:11Speaker 2: the standard goes crazy is like the body. Like a
- 12:15Speaker 2: lot of guys, like there's a different look for the
- 12:16Speaker 2: aesthetic of like muscles and fitness and athleticism. But women,
- 12:20Speaker 2: it's crazy how like there are people in the internet
- 12:23Speaker 2: that I'm like, you're not even real.
- 12:26Speaker 3: Like what?
- 12:26Speaker 1: Well, sometimes they're not. Sometimes it is AI.
- 12:28Speaker 3: That's true.
- 12:28Speaker 1: Sometimes they're not asking AI what they should do. They
- 12:31Speaker 1: just ask AI to do the editing.
- 12:32Speaker 3: Just actually create them.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 12:34Speaker 2: And then they're putting that image online, which has to
- 12:35Speaker 2: be so hard because you're like, guys, most of them
- 12:38Speaker 2: have rocks as brains. So they're seeing that and then
- 12:41Speaker 2: they're seeing me and I'm like, okay, well, if you're
- 12:43Speaker 2: going to compare me to that, that's not fair.
- 12:45Speaker 3: We're not on the same plane for you.
- 12:46Speaker 1: I told you about that, our mutual friend, that I
- 12:49Speaker 1: asked him what his type was because he was talking
- 12:50Speaker 1: about this girl and then he showed me a photo
- 12:52Speaker 1: of the girl and I was like, ooh.
- 12:54Speaker 3: You're like, what the hell?
- 12:55Speaker 1: It was just, and this isn't me knocking on her,
- 12:58Speaker 1: but he was like, oh, she's the epitome of my
- 13:01Speaker 1: type and it was just like, Hella filler. Hella filter.
- 13:05Speaker 1: Just like all the things. And I'm not saying there's
- 13:07Speaker 1: anything wrong with that. Women, it's tough out here. I'm
- 13:09Speaker 1: really not trying to criticize her. I was like, oh
- 13:12Speaker 1: my God, if this is what you think women just
- 13:15Speaker 1: look like, or this is what you're after, we're so fucked.
- 13:18Speaker 1: Because listen, I'm all about getting anything that makes you
- 13:21Speaker 1: feel good about yourself. Why do we always end up
- 13:23Speaker 1: talking about our appearances on here, by the way?
- 13:24Speaker 3: It's like every fourth episode.
- 13:26Speaker 1: Every fourth episode.
- 13:27Speaker 3: We come back to it. We're very conscious about it.
- 13:29Speaker 1: Very conscious about it. I think we're just really fucking vain.
- 13:31Speaker 3: Well, you know, I think it's just moving the needle
- 13:34Speaker 3: a little bit further every time. Yeah.
- 13:36Speaker 1: What was I saying? I'm all for a cosmetic procedure,
- 13:38Speaker 1: but I get cosmetic procedures because I want to look
- 13:41Speaker 1: like me.
- 13:41Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 13:42Speaker 1: And there's sometimes things that I look at that I go,
- 13:44Speaker 1: I don't think my face developed.
- 13:46Speaker 3: In the right way. Oh, yeah.
- 13:48Speaker 1: Have you gotten on Marpie TikTok?
- 13:50Speaker 3: Oh, hell no.
- 13:51Speaker 1: You know what Marpy is? I think it started with
- 13:53Speaker 1: the guy who looks maxing, Clavicular. Who, by the way,
- 13:56Speaker 1: he was just in Tampa. If you don't know who Clavicular...
- 13:59Speaker 1: I can't talk today.
- 14:02Speaker 3: Clavicular.
- 14:03Speaker 1: He's like a 20-year-old dude. He does this thing called
- 14:06Speaker 1: live streaming. I think it's Gen Z's form of reality TV.
- 14:10Speaker 1: These guys will just go out and they'll live stream
- 14:12Speaker 1: their lives and just go to clubs or whatever and
- 14:15Speaker 1: people like to watch it. And he... is big on
- 14:20Speaker 1: this thing called looks maxing where you can, you know,
- 14:23Speaker 1: you've got to change your bone structure or whatever, but
- 14:25Speaker 1: it all has to do with like palatal expansion. It
- 14:27Speaker 1: changes the way your jaw fits and it changes the way.
- 14:30Speaker 1: And so it's fascinating. If you go on TikTok and
- 14:32Speaker 1: type in Mark B expansion, people's faces literally change based
- 14:35Speaker 1: off of how their teeth formed.
- 14:37Speaker 3: So they like literally change the size of their jaw.
- 14:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:40Speaker 1: So they get this appliance and it's called either a
- 14:42Speaker 1: Marpy or a Maspy and it expands your palate and
- 14:45Speaker 1: it affects your jaw. Then some people get double jaw
- 14:47Speaker 1: surgery and it's crazy. It just changes the way your
- 14:51Speaker 1: face looks.
- 14:51Speaker 3: Oh my God.
- 14:52Speaker 1: Anyway, I don't know where I was going with this, but, um,
- 14:57Speaker 1: I mean.
- 14:57Speaker 3: There's literally options for everyone though.
- 14:59Speaker 2: Like it's, if you want to change this, tuck in this,
- 15:02Speaker 2: there are so many things you could do.
- 15:04Speaker 3: But again, I think that's why we talk about it.
- 15:06Speaker 3: It's like, It's your option.
- 15:07Speaker 2: I think back in the day it was so easy
- 15:08Speaker 2: to just rag on people for it, but you're literally
- 15:11Speaker 2: not hurting anyone.
- 15:12Speaker 3: Just yourself.
- 15:14Speaker 1: Because it is painful.
- 15:15Speaker 3: It has to be a little painful. But I feel
- 15:17Speaker 3: like as long as, and this is why I like
- 15:19Speaker 3: when people are transparent about it, as long as you're
- 15:21Speaker 3: not making people believe that something is aesthetically possible without
- 15:24Speaker 3: it being aesthetically possible without the procedure, then I think
- 15:26Speaker 3: it's fine.
- 15:27Speaker 2: There's guys all the time, and this is just the
- 15:30Speaker 2: guy world of like, oh no, I'm completely natural.
- 15:32Speaker 3: You could get this way natural. And you look at
- 15:33Speaker 3: them and you're like, Okay, most guys might not know.
- 15:37Speaker 1: I know.
- 15:37Speaker 3: Like, you are roided up. There ain't no way.
- 15:40Speaker 2: You don't get that aesthetic without a little bit of juice.
- 15:42Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 15:42Speaker 3: Just be honest about it so guys aren't.
- 15:44Speaker 2: Literally killing themselves to try to look like that.
- 15:47Speaker 1: All of this to say is, and we can close
- 15:50Speaker 1: out our vanity segment again. We have to do it
- 15:52Speaker 1: twice a week. That's true. We got to check off
- 15:53Speaker 1: the box.
- 15:54Speaker 3: It's a hair check. That's what I was doing. I
- 15:55Speaker 3: was just doing a hair check.
- 15:56Speaker 1: It is comforting to know that the thing I learned
- 16:00Speaker 1: as an adult is really attractive people are trying to
- 16:03Speaker 1: be attractive. Yes. I recently saw an interview with an
- 16:06Speaker 1: influencer called Paige Lorenz. Her name is Paige Paul now.
- 16:09Speaker 1: And she's really objectively beautiful. And the interviewer asked her
- 16:12Speaker 1: about how does it feel to have the thing that
- 16:14Speaker 1: all women want, and that's to be objectively beautiful to
- 16:17Speaker 1: a wide audience. I'm not saying everyone thinks she's beautiful,
- 16:19Speaker 1: but she has an objective kind of beauty. And she goes,
- 16:21Speaker 1: it takes a lot of effort. It takes, like, a
- 16:23Speaker 1: lot of the stuff that you see is sometimes just effort.
- 16:27Speaker 1: It's outfit planning. Maybe it is, like, the upkeep of
- 16:29Speaker 1: Botox or whatever. And I also remember in college... I
- 16:33Speaker 1: was a part of Florida Greek Ambassadors, so it was
- 16:35Speaker 1: all the different councils. So it was Panhellenic, it was
- 16:38Speaker 1: the Divine Nine, it was IFC, the fraternities, and we'd
- 16:41Speaker 1: get together like once a month. And there was a
- 16:44Speaker 1: guy in a fraternity called Pike, and Pike at the
- 16:46Speaker 1: time was like the hot athlete fraternity. And the hot
- 16:50Speaker 1: guy in our group stood up and was talking about,
- 16:53Speaker 1: I don't even really know what the question was, but
- 16:56Speaker 1: I will never forget him saying, Because he's just one
- 17:01Speaker 1: of those people that is kind of naturally attractive. Yes, yes.
- 17:03Speaker 1: So you don't really think about them being sentient about it.
- 17:05Speaker 1: You're just like, oh, that's a hot guy. He's always
- 17:06Speaker 1: been hot. And he doesn't really think much about it.
- 17:08Speaker 1: He just happens to be hot. He goes, the way
- 17:10Speaker 1: you look is the quickest way you can get respect
- 17:11Speaker 1: from people. And I was like, that's so crazy to
- 17:14Speaker 1: me hearing a man in a quote unquote top tier
- 17:17Speaker 1: fraternity who is objectively attractive like vocalize it. Yes. Because
- 17:20Speaker 1: men never talk about it.
- 17:21Speaker 3: It's true.
- 17:22Speaker 2: It's something that we don't talk a lot. But also
- 17:24Speaker 2: now it's starting to be acknowledged a lot more from men.
- 17:26Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 17:26Speaker 2: Where it's like, guys, you can step it up. It
- 17:28Speaker 2: is a huge difference maker. But you got to, like
- 17:31Speaker 2: you said at the end of the day, it is effort.
- 17:33Speaker 3: A lot of effort. And that's why, you know what?
- 17:35Speaker 3: This next week, I'm not putting in any effort. I'm
- 17:37Speaker 3: just showing up.
- 17:39Speaker 1: I will be putting in a lot of effort because
- 17:40Speaker 1: I'm going to Italy.
- 17:41Speaker 3: So let's talk about it.
- 17:43Speaker 2: Because before you go on this trip, this will be
- 17:45Speaker 2: fun for the podcast fam. Because this is like shooting
- 17:46Speaker 2: forward in the future.
- 17:48Speaker 1: I know. So I'm posting this. I'm going to schedule this.
- 17:50Speaker 1: God willing, stream guys post it.
- 17:52Speaker 3: Well, it's going to get up somehow. It's going to
- 17:54Speaker 3: get up somehow. We'll find a way.
- 17:56Speaker 1: I'm going to post this on Wednesday. So I will
- 17:59Speaker 1: be mostly done with my Italy trip by the time
- 18:01Speaker 1: you hear this.
- 18:02Speaker 3: How long is the trip? When do you get back?
- 18:03Speaker 1: So I get back on Friday night.
- 18:06Speaker 3: Oh, geez.
- 18:07Speaker 2: OK.
- 18:07Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 18:08Speaker 2: Well, when you're before you go, though, are you talking about. OK,
- 18:12Speaker 2: because there's like a.
- 18:14Speaker 3: There's a prospect. Is that fair to say?
- 18:16Speaker 1: Oh, we're talking about my date that I'm going on tonight?
- 18:18Speaker 1: Because this is not like a future one.
- 18:20Speaker 3: We don't have to.
- 18:21Speaker 1: No, we can talk about it. So I am going
- 18:23Speaker 1: on a date tonight. So this is Thursday. So you're
- 18:25Speaker 1: listening to this. I'm assuming I'm going to post it
- 18:27Speaker 1: on Wednesday. So a week ago, I went on it.
- 18:29Speaker 1: I'm assuming I'm going on the date. Match with him
- 18:32Speaker 1: on Hinge. He seems fine. He's just a, I don't know.
- 18:35Speaker 1: He's just a dude. And we've been like casually texting.
- 18:39Speaker 3: Is this dude with a really good job or no? No.
- 18:42Speaker 3: Not that guy?
- 18:42Speaker 1: You'll know because I'll be really excited. I'm going to
- 18:44Speaker 1: hype that up.
- 18:45Speaker 3: Oh, okay.
- 18:45Speaker 1: This is a good guy. I don't know. He went
- 18:50Speaker 1: to U Tampa. So I just kind of get like...
- 18:53Speaker 1: D-bag vibes from you, Tampa.
- 18:54Speaker 3: I do, too, but they're not all like that.
- 18:56Speaker 2: Like, whenever somebody says that, I'm like, oh, but there's
- 18:58Speaker 2: a lot of really nice people from you, Tampa.
- 19:00Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 19:01Speaker 1: I don't know. He looks like, you know, the where
- 19:02Speaker 1: am I hug guys? He kind of looks like one
- 19:04Speaker 1: of those dudes. Oh, my God.
- 19:06Speaker 3: But he's cute.
- 19:06Speaker 1: He has a good, he's a basic job. He's my age.
- 19:09Speaker 1: He lives in my neighborhood. Like, you know. He says,
- 19:13Speaker 1: we'll get along if you like sports, football, and hockey.
- 19:15Speaker 1: I'm like, I like to watch both of those things.
- 19:17Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 19:18Speaker 1: He golfs. You know what's so weird? In my old age,
- 19:21Speaker 1: I do.
- 19:21Speaker 3: My old age. I'm 29.
- 19:24Speaker 1: I really like the idea of whoever I'm with liking
- 19:27Speaker 1: to golf or at least being willing to play golf
- 19:29Speaker 1: with my dad and my brother because golf is such
- 19:31Speaker 1: a big part of their life.
- 19:32Speaker 3: That's true. Your dad literally went on an entire golf
- 19:34Speaker 3: trip recently.
- 19:35Speaker 1: He really did. And so it's not a requirement, but
- 19:39Speaker 1: if someone says that they like to golf, I go, ooh,
- 19:41Speaker 1: that's great.
- 19:42Speaker 2: That's a check in the right direction because at least
- 19:44Speaker 2: that's the way they can bond. Like to have somebody
- 19:46Speaker 2: that can match up well with your family is huge
- 19:48Speaker 2: because when it doesn't, you feel it. It literally impacts everything.
- 19:52Speaker 2: Like I've been with people that don't even get along
- 19:54Speaker 2: with like my friends. And then you have to decide
- 19:57Speaker 2: what friend groups you're hanging out with. And you're like, oh, God,
- 20:00Speaker 2: that sucks.
- 20:01Speaker 1: The friend thing, honestly, to me is more important because
- 20:04Speaker 1: you should be dating someone you consider your closest friend.
- 20:07Speaker 1: And so if your closest friend doesn't gel with the
- 20:09Speaker 1: rest of your crew, there's something amiss.
- 20:11Speaker 3: There's something amiss.
- 20:12Speaker 1: Family's a little bit different. They should at least be
- 20:14Speaker 1: able to cooperate within the dynamic. But if you're not
- 20:18Speaker 1: super close with, I mean, unless you're like diehard with
- 20:20Speaker 1: your family and those are your best friends, that's a
- 20:21Speaker 1: whole other story. But anyway, yeah, there's some things that
- 20:24Speaker 1: I was like, okay, what?
- 20:26Speaker 3: What are the green flags that you have for him
- 20:27Speaker 3: so far? So you said golf, you like sports.
- 20:29Speaker 1: He's fit. Nice. He's tall. These are all shallow things.
- 20:32Speaker 1: He has a good job. That's the thing. With a
- 20:35Speaker 1: dating app, you just have to find someone on paper
- 20:37Speaker 1: that you're like, okay, let me see what's going on.
- 20:38Speaker 1: It's like seeing a house on Zillow. You know what
- 20:41Speaker 1: I mean? He's in the right neighborhood. He's the right size.
- 20:44Speaker 1: He looks like the kind of house I'd want to
- 20:46Speaker 1: live in.
- 20:46Speaker 3: Go to an open house.
- 20:48Speaker 1: You know, his listing says that he does the things
- 20:50Speaker 1: that I like to do. He works out. He likes
- 20:52Speaker 1: to watch the sports that I like to watch. He
- 20:54Speaker 1: likes to drink margaritas. He plays golf.
- 20:56Speaker 3: So.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Theoretically this could work.
- 20:59Speaker 2: Out this yeah this actually sounds a lot really good
- 21:02Speaker 2: what in your head right now is then going like
- 21:03Speaker 2: is there any not i'm not gonna say red flags
- 21:05Speaker 2: yellow flags like.
- 21:07Speaker 1: Ding ding he he likes to text but he hasn't
- 21:09Speaker 1: been hounding me which is nice so green flag is
- 21:11Speaker 1: he's texting me but he's not hounding me um.
- 21:15Speaker 3: So he's continuously having points.
- 21:17Speaker 1: Of Yeah, points of contact. So it's good. So I
- 21:19Speaker 1: appreciate him not hounding me because until I meet you,
- 21:21Speaker 1: I don't really care. You know what I mean?
- 21:22Speaker 3: Yeah, let's just get right to it so we just know.
- 21:24Speaker 1: Yeah, so you're just a house in the neighborhood at
- 21:26Speaker 1: this point. I haven't done the open house yet. I
- 21:28Speaker 1: haven't checked out like the carpets. Is there like a
- 21:30Speaker 1: weird smell happening?
- 21:31Speaker 3: No, that's true. There could always be a weird smell.
- 21:33Speaker 1: And also, I've been talking a lot about getting off
- 21:35Speaker 1: the apps again because the reason I got off them
- 21:37Speaker 1: in the first place is I realized... I had been
- 21:39Speaker 1: on them too long and I think I just need
- 21:40Speaker 1: to get off them. But also, I think dating apps
- 21:43Speaker 1: attract a specific type of guy that if they do
- 21:46Speaker 1: have all the right things on paper, like I mentioned,
- 21:48Speaker 1: there's a reason why they don't have a girlfriend. And
- 21:51Speaker 1: it's either because they just like to have a lot
- 21:53Speaker 1: of girls in their phone or they're very introverted. And
- 21:56Speaker 1: both of those things I'm not into.
- 21:58Speaker 3: Damn it. That sucks, though, because where else are people?
- 22:01Speaker 2: Again, like it's just I find the whole fascinating world
- 22:04Speaker 2: of dating interesting.
- 22:05Speaker 3: Where else are people meeting? Like, is it like run
- 22:07Speaker 3: clubs or bars? Like, it's such a gamble. I don't know.
- 22:10Speaker 1: Mutual friends, maybe. I mean, I don't think it's impossible,
- 22:12Speaker 1: but I do think it does suck.
- 22:14Speaker 3: I feel like.
- 22:14Speaker 1: Everybody's meeting on Hinge. And so if you're not on Hinge,
- 22:16Speaker 1: what are you doing?
- 22:17Speaker 3: Yeah, you're like missing an opportunity.
- 22:18Speaker 1: But I feel very strongly that I'm not going to
- 22:20Speaker 1: meet my person on a dating app. So I'm like,
- 22:22Speaker 1: why am I entertaining? Why am I wasting my time?
- 22:24Speaker 1: Why am I wasting my Thursday before I go to
- 22:25Speaker 1: Italy on some man who lives in the neighborhood?
- 22:28Speaker 3: I love that, though.
- 22:29Speaker 2: Like, OK, for this date, like at least. I think
- 22:32Speaker 2: a green flag. He set up the date, correct? He
- 22:33Speaker 2: did set up the date.
- 22:34Speaker 1: I will say he's been very like with it with
- 22:36Speaker 1: the date. That's awesome. He recommended... Okay, I'll say where
- 22:39Speaker 1: we're going. We're going to Forbici. Forbici is kind of
- 22:41Speaker 1: that classic... kind of, not rowdy, but it's a very
- 22:45Speaker 1: lively Italian spot.
- 22:46Speaker 3: Oh, it's very lively.
- 22:47Speaker 1: It's a big happy hour spot. So when he said, hey,
- 22:50Speaker 1: let's go to Forbici at 7, I said, that's so great,
- 22:53Speaker 1: but I don't think we're going to get a seat.
- 22:54Speaker 1: I was literally there last week on Thursday, and it
- 22:56Speaker 1: was poppin'. Oh, yeah, it's going to be poppin'. So
- 22:59Speaker 1: I said, you might want to reconsider, and he goes,
- 23:01Speaker 1: I know a guy. So I was like, all right, well.
- 23:03Speaker 2: That's so crazy. In my head, I was like, this
- 23:05Speaker 2: is such a good move for him.
- 23:06Speaker 3: Watch him.
- 23:07Speaker 1: He's the owner of Forbici. Yeah, you're like, I don't know.
- 23:09Speaker 3: I don't know. He literally works at... Okay.
- 23:11Speaker 1: He works at Forbici. I'm like, he's got such a
- 23:14Speaker 1: good job.
- 23:14Speaker 3: He's a busboy. Yeah, there you go.
- 23:15Speaker 2: He's actually bringing you your drinks. He's going to work
- 23:17Speaker 2: and go on the date at the same time.
- 23:18Speaker 3: I know.
- 23:19Speaker 2: I think that's a great sign, though. Like, for somebody
- 23:21Speaker 2: to not only set the plans, but also then he
- 23:23Speaker 2: reassured you.
- 23:23Speaker 3: And he said, wait, wait, wait.
- 23:25Speaker 1: I know.
- 23:25Speaker 3: You got a little bit of this. I got you.
- 23:27Speaker 1: Like, that's what.
- 23:29Speaker 3: I wish more guys did it because it took me
- 23:30Speaker 3: a long time to learn it.
- 23:31Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 23:31Speaker 1: So I appreciate that. So anyway, he texted me during
- 23:34Speaker 1: the show and he said, see you at seven tonight?
- 23:37Speaker 1: Question mark.
- 23:37Speaker 3: Oh, yes. That's where we are. And so I said,
- 23:40Speaker 3: question mark.
- 23:41Speaker 1: Well, because I mean, yeah, because I think a lot
- 23:42Speaker 1: of guys really love to have. Here's the thing. I
- 23:45Speaker 1: think a lot of girls like to have constant contact
- 23:48Speaker 1: and they like to have a lot of reassurance and
- 23:50Speaker 1: they want to have a lot of conversations. That's not me.
- 23:52Speaker 1: I want to meet you. If we like each other,
- 23:53Speaker 1: then we'll gab and I'll be excited to text you.
- 23:55Speaker 1: I'll be like, oh, he texted me. But I don't
- 23:57Speaker 1: know you. You're a house on Zillow. You're a house
- 23:59Speaker 1: on Zillow. I don't know if I'm going to like
- 24:00Speaker 1: this house. So I don't want to have all these
- 24:02Speaker 1: conversations that are going to waste my time and create
- 24:04Speaker 1: a false sense of intimacy. And then by the time
- 24:06Speaker 1: I meet this person, it's like, oh, absolutely not. So
- 24:09Speaker 1: I think he's a little bit confused, like, hey, we're
- 24:11Speaker 1: not really texting. What's going on? You know? So anyway,
- 24:15Speaker 1: I wanted to text back. Hell yeah, brother.
- 24:16Speaker 3: Absolutely not.
- 24:17Speaker 1: Because I'm of the mind of just say what you're thinking.
- 24:20Speaker 1: And that's what I would say to a friend. I'd
- 24:21Speaker 1: be like, hell yeah, brother. Yeah.
- 24:23Speaker 3: You know, I think, you know, I love when somebody
- 24:25Speaker 3: can be fully themselves. Yeah.
- 24:27Speaker 2: And I think you save that for like after the
- 24:30Speaker 2: first initial meeting so they could get a sense of
- 24:32Speaker 2: who you are.
- 24:32Speaker 1: So what do I say? What do I say to
- 24:33Speaker 1: a guy that says see you tonight?
- 24:35Speaker 3: I would see you.
- 24:36Speaker 1: OK.
- 24:36Speaker 3: See you tonight. Question mark.
- 24:38Speaker 2: Yep.
- 24:38Speaker 3: Absolutely. Sounds great.
- 24:39Speaker 1: Absolutely. See you then.
- 24:41Speaker 2: Yep.
- 24:41Speaker 1: I'm just going to say, yep, yep. See you then.
- 24:42Speaker 3: Hmm. I don't know if I like, yep, yep.
- 24:46Speaker 1: That's what I say, though. That's how I talk. Yep, yep.
- 24:48Speaker 1: See you then.
- 24:49Speaker 3: I would say something that shows you're a little more
- 24:52Speaker 3: enthusiastic about it.
- 24:53Speaker 1: But I'm not.
- 24:55Speaker 3: But you should be. We got to go into it.
- 24:56Speaker 3: Let's go in all in on this date.
- 24:58Speaker 1: Okay.
- 24:58Speaker 3: I'll say, yeah.
- 24:59Speaker 1: I'm going to say, yes, exclamation point. See you then.
- 25:02Speaker 3: Perfect. There you go. That shows a little bit more
- 25:03Speaker 3: of like, oh, no, I'm looking forward to this. Like,
- 25:05Speaker 3: I would say, looking forward to it.
- 25:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 25:08Speaker 3: Because I'm not. You should be, though.
- 25:11Speaker 1: I don't want to do this shit.
- 25:12Speaker 3: This is going to be good.
- 25:13Speaker 1: This is how you find love.
- 25:14Speaker 3: You got to go on these first weird initial dates.
- 25:17Speaker 1: I don't want to get a boyfriend before I go
- 25:18Speaker 1: to Italy. No, no, no.
- 25:20Speaker 2: There's no way it turns into a boyfriend before. But
- 25:22Speaker 2: at least this way, who knows? Now I'm so leaned in,
- 25:25Speaker 2: I'm actually annoyed that you're going to Italy tomorrow. Because
- 25:27Speaker 2: now I'm going to be sitting here thinking... I wonder
- 25:29Speaker 2: how the date went.
- 25:30Speaker 1: Cliffhanger. I know.
- 25:31Speaker 3: This is a hell of a cliffhanger.
- 25:32Speaker 1: I mean, I guess I could call in, like, if
- 25:33Speaker 1: there's an actually good update. I could be like, hey,
- 25:35Speaker 1: we went out. Now we're getting married. We're eloping in Italy.
- 25:38Speaker 1: We're going to Lake Cameron.
- 25:40Speaker 3: We're eloping immediately. I think it's going to go really well.
- 25:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 25:44Speaker 3: I think it's going to be a great conversation.
- 25:45Speaker 2: I don't, you know, as much as I love that
- 25:49Speaker 2: Sparks fly. Oh, wait.
- 25:50Speaker 1: Should we see if he's on? One of those websites.
- 25:53Speaker 1: Oh God.
- 25:53Speaker 3: No, no, no, no, no.
- 25:55Speaker 1: Let's see what the tea is.
- 25:56Speaker 2: No, let's see if he's just a good guy on
- 25:57Speaker 2: the first date. You know, everyone has a, I'm going
- 25:59Speaker 2: to try. I'm really trying to be on this guy's team.
- 26:01Speaker 2: Cause he sounds like he has a lot of green flags.
- 26:03Speaker 2: I would say go in tonight, open heart, open mind.
- 26:07Speaker 2: And then when we do the next podcast, when you're
- 26:08Speaker 2: back from Italy, we'll get the full scoop.
- 26:10Speaker 1: Hang on. Now I'm really committed to seeing if he's okay. No,
- 26:12Speaker 1: I don't see him posted.
- 26:13Speaker 3: No, he's a good dude. What did you get his
- 26:15Speaker 3: Instagram yet?
- 26:16Speaker 1: Uh, yeah, he actually posted his Instagram on, um, His profile. Okay.
- 26:21Speaker 1: So he's a whore. There we go.
- 26:23Speaker 3: No, no, wait, no.
- 26:24Speaker 1: I think he's private. Oh, no, he's not. Yeah, I
- 26:26Speaker 1: found him.
- 26:27Speaker 3: Yeah, you could see what kind of activities he likes
- 26:29Speaker 3: to do.
- 26:29Speaker 1: He kind of has like your haircut to where it's
- 26:31Speaker 1: in like a weird place. Like, you know what I mean?
- 26:34Speaker 1: Like he needs to grow it out more. Like he
- 26:35Speaker 1: needs to commit to the bit.
- 26:36Speaker 3: Maybe him and I are on the same page.
- 26:38Speaker 2: Maybe he's a big fan of this podcast and he's
- 26:39Speaker 2: decided as long as I decided to grow out my hair,
- 26:42Speaker 2: he's going to do it too.
- 26:42Speaker 1: Maybe.
- 26:43Speaker 3: Maybe we're just internet friends from a long way.
- 26:45Speaker 2: I wonder if I know him. I always love these things.
- 26:47Speaker 2: I think he's going to go really well. I have
- 26:48Speaker 2: a good feeling about it.
- 26:49Speaker 1: Yeah, okay.
- 26:50Speaker 3: Come on. We have to go into it with the
- 26:52Speaker 3: right mindset.
- 26:52Speaker 1: I'd rather date the hot guy who went to the
- 26:55Speaker 1: Two Ivies.
- 26:56Speaker 3: That guy could be a douche.
- 26:57Speaker 1: All right? But he's not. He's friends with my friend.
- 27:00Speaker 3: That could also be a douche. I don't know. We
- 27:02Speaker 3: don't know. Actually, he's a fan of the podcast. So, no,
- 27:04Speaker 3: you're not a douche. Go into it. Open mind. Open heart.
- 27:09Speaker 3: And if it sucks, you get a free drink. Hopefully.
- 27:12Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 27:12Speaker 3: As other ones have went. What are you looking forward
- 27:14Speaker 3: to most on the Italy trip before we go?
- 27:16Speaker 1: I'm excited to get some good photos for my Instagram.
- 27:19Speaker 3: Oh, my God. I wanted to make a comment about that.
- 27:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:21Speaker 1: Your new profile pic.
- 27:23Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 27:23Speaker 3: Looking good.
- 27:23Speaker 1: Look at you. I have not changed it in a
- 27:25Speaker 1: minute because when you have a verified profile, they, like,
- 27:27Speaker 1: make it a hassle and a half. Like, you have
- 27:29Speaker 1: to post. You have to send them your passport. It's
- 27:31Speaker 1: a whole thing. And so I've just been keeping my
- 27:33Speaker 1: Bert show one because I like that photo.
- 27:35Speaker 3: It is good.
- 27:36Speaker 1: And it's very straightforward. It looks like me. It's to
- 27:38Speaker 1: the point. But I'm like, I've really changed a lot
- 27:40Speaker 1: since that photo. I got a nose job. I lost
- 27:42Speaker 1: 30 pounds. My hair is a little bit of a
- 27:44Speaker 1: different color. I mean, I don't look wildly different, but
- 27:46Speaker 1: I'm like, I do look different.
- 27:48Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 27:49Speaker 1: And I always find it very weird when people have
- 27:51Speaker 1: profile photos from like years and years ago.
- 27:53Speaker 3: I'm trying to think.
- 27:54Speaker 2: Mine definitely doesn't look like the current version of me.
- 27:56Speaker 2: I think it's still like an old headshot.
- 27:58Speaker 1: Let me see.
- 27:58Speaker 2: Let's see if it actually still stays up. Because since then,
- 28:01Speaker 2: I've grown out my hair.
- 28:02Speaker 3: Like, here we are.
- 28:03Speaker 1: Yeah, but do you identify with this new hair identity?
- 28:06Speaker 2: Uh, yeah.
- 28:07Speaker 3: Oh my god, yeah.
- 28:09Speaker 2: I think this is going to be the version of
- 28:10Speaker 2: me for a while. I was actually, this is such
- 28:12Speaker 2: a weird thought, but in my head I was like, man,
- 28:14Speaker 2: I'm going to have long hair at my wedding?
- 28:16Speaker 3: That's cool. I don't know when the hell that is.
- 28:19Speaker 1: That's a crazy thought.
- 28:20Speaker 2: No, it is.
- 28:20Speaker 1: Are you getting married?
- 28:21Speaker 2: No, and there's nothing every, like, no, no, no. There's
- 28:23Speaker 2: nothing on the books, but I did think about that
- 28:27Speaker 2: probably an hour ago.
- 28:27Speaker 3: I was like in the bathroom looking at myself.
- 28:29Speaker 2: I was like, huh, I didn't think I would have
- 28:31Speaker 2: long hair at my wedding, but I don't see me
- 28:32Speaker 2: cutting it in the next, I went all this distance
- 28:35Speaker 2: to cut it.
- 28:35Speaker 1: Why don't you, we just took headshots at the station.
- 28:38Speaker 1: Why don't you use one of those headshots? I will.
- 28:39Speaker 2: I'll use a new one because this one still has
- 28:41Speaker 2: me as short hair. It's a good photo.
- 28:44Speaker 3: It's clear.
- 28:44Speaker 2: That's what they say on Instagram to have a clear photo,
- 28:47Speaker 2: but I'll put a new one up.
- 28:49Speaker 1: Mine's not very clear. I'm wondering if I made a
- 28:51Speaker 1: bad decision now.
- 28:52Speaker 3: No, yours is good because you're a lady.
- 28:54Speaker 1: This is the kind of photo. So my new profile
- 28:55Speaker 1: pic is the kind of photo that I envision my
- 28:58Speaker 1: children when I die of a tragic illness.
- 29:00Speaker 3: This is the one they'll put up.
- 29:01Speaker 1: I feel like that's the kind of photo that they're
- 29:04Speaker 1: going to show.
- 29:05Speaker 3: Lies to rest, mom.
- 29:06Speaker 1: Because I look just so like, it's kind of like
- 29:09Speaker 1: dreamy and I'm like turned. I'm like. Hey, here I
- 29:11Speaker 1: am in my house dress at my random Airbnb in Austin, Texas.
- 29:15Speaker 3: It gives a little bit of, like, mysterious. Like, who
- 29:18Speaker 3: am I?
- 29:19Speaker 1: I'm big in my soft smile era.
- 29:20Speaker 3: You are big in the soft smile era. Mm-hmm. Which
- 29:22Speaker 3: is good, though.
- 29:23Speaker 2: The soft smile's good, like your last couple photos are.
- 29:26Speaker 2: And I think it's a great photo. It also, I
- 29:29Speaker 2: think it's better than your last photo.
- 29:31Speaker 1: Whoa.
- 29:32Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.
- 29:32Speaker 1: What was wrong with my last photo?
- 29:33Speaker 3: Nothing at all.
- 29:34Speaker 2: But I think as we've talked about it, like, you
- 29:36Speaker 2: and I have evolved.
- 29:37Speaker 3: Like, that's the goal.
- 29:38Speaker 2: Is right like hair color is a little different uh-huh
- 29:41Speaker 2: like you shine a little differently that's good.
- 29:43Speaker 1: That's the goal for the filter from facetune is really
- 29:46Speaker 1: just okay give yourself some no no no like i
- 29:48Speaker 1: literally used a filter from facetune like to make it
- 29:51Speaker 1: look grainy.
- 29:51Speaker 3: Oh yeah yeah i'm trying to make something did you know.
- 29:53Speaker 1: You can do that on facetune you can you can
- 29:55Speaker 1: make it look like a different Like, the regular photo
- 29:59Speaker 1: is cool because it was taken with my friend's Fujifilm camera.
- 30:01Speaker 3: But you could actually make it look like a different camera.
- 30:03Speaker 1: So, like, here's the original. And the original looks pretty
- 30:05Speaker 1: and kind of vintage-y. Like, it looks good.
- 30:08Speaker 3: Oh, you're in front of the light. There it is. Oh, yeah.
- 30:11Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah. So, it looks good. But then you
- 30:13Speaker 1: can throw a filter on and it looks like it
- 30:14Speaker 1: was taken on a disposable camera from the 1980s.
- 30:16Speaker 3: Oh, look at you.
- 30:17Speaker 1: Gosh.
- 30:17Speaker 2: I am.
- 30:20Speaker 3: Dreamy. That's going to rack them in. I know.
- 30:22Speaker 1: I just can't wait. The other thing I was thinking
- 30:24Speaker 1: is these are such great photos for when I do
- 30:26Speaker 1: finally get a boyfriend. Because do you have a photo
- 30:28Speaker 1: of your girlfriend that you're like, oh, this is her?
- 30:30Speaker 1: Like when people are like, oh, who's your girlfriend?
- 30:31Speaker 3: And you go, this is her.
- 30:32Speaker 1: Show me that photo. Oh, my God.
- 30:33Speaker 3: That's such a funny question.
- 30:34Speaker 1: So I think these are really good photos for him
- 30:36Speaker 1: to go, this is her. And then also for my
- 30:38Speaker 1: children when I die to be like, this is my mom.
- 30:40Speaker 3: Here's the one.
- 30:41Speaker 2: When I first started telling people that I was dating Brianda,
- 30:45Speaker 2: this is the photo. That I'd show people. Because I
- 30:48Speaker 2: wanted to see how, show people how fun she is.
- 30:50Speaker 3: Oh, God.
- 30:51Speaker 1: Oh, so beautiful.
- 30:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 30:52Speaker 3: So she's at like a rodeo. She's got this cowgirl
- 30:55Speaker 3: hat on.
- 30:55Speaker 1: Yeehaw. Not you whitewashing your girlfriend.
- 30:58Speaker 3: What are you talking about?
- 30:59Speaker 1: In the cowboy hat.
- 31:00Speaker 3: No, she's got that.
- 31:01Speaker 2: I'm kidding.
- 31:02Speaker 3: I'm making a joke. The boots on, the red looks good.
- 31:04Speaker 1: Man.
- 31:05Speaker 2: Mm-hmm. Yeah.
- 31:08Speaker 3: Anyway, let me come back to reality.
- 31:09Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
- 31:10Speaker 2: So, yeah, so it's nice to have a photo that
- 31:11Speaker 2: you can actually be like, oh, like, what, could you have,
- 31:14Speaker 2: show me a photo of this dude before I can.
- 31:16Speaker 3: Have an image.
- 31:16Speaker 1: You're like, this is him?
- 31:17Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 31:17Speaker 3: Let me just.
- 31:17Speaker 1: This guy doesn't deserve this. He's a random man.
- 31:21Speaker 3: He's a random man. It's going to be a good
- 31:22Speaker 3: date watch. This is the one. Let's mark the calendars.
- 31:24Speaker 1: You know how many times I've said that?
- 31:26Speaker 2: Eventually it's going to work.
- 31:30Speaker 1: His hair looks a little greasy. We've got to work
- 31:31Speaker 1: on the hair.
- 31:33Speaker 3: I needed to work on my hair, too. Again, most men.
- 31:36Speaker 3: We have no idea.
- 31:37Speaker 1: He has a good profile picture, but he's wearing sunglasses,
- 31:39Speaker 1: so that's not.
- 31:40Speaker 3: A good sign. Son of a gun.
- 31:41Speaker 1: Here, let me. Oh, man. Okay.
- 31:47Speaker 3: Guy's got a hell of a body. Come on now.
- 31:49Speaker 1: Yeah, and I, listen, I love it because it's so
- 31:52Speaker 1: easy for men to put on muscle. I'm like, just,
- 31:54Speaker 1: if you don't have muscle, what are you doing?
- 31:56Speaker 3: Well, it's, yeah, I don't know. I don't know.
- 32:00Speaker 1: You don't even need to be, like, jacked.
- 32:02Speaker 3: Just, like, effort.
- 32:03Speaker 1: Yeah, go to the gym once a week and eat
- 32:07Speaker 1: 200 grams of protein.
- 32:08Speaker 3: Yeah, it does work.
- 32:09Speaker 1: And you'll look better than 99% of men.
- 32:12Speaker 3: It's true, and that guy's got it. He looks like
- 32:14Speaker 3: a good, nice guy.
- 32:15Speaker 1: He works out twice a week.
- 32:16Speaker 3: I think it's going to be great. I'm really hoping
- 32:18Speaker 3: this doesn't bite me in the butt. Well, in that case...
- 32:22Speaker 3: Enjoy Italy.
- 32:23Speaker 1: Italia.
- 32:24Speaker 2: By the time you're hearing this, Abby's going to be,
- 32:26Speaker 2: I don't know, how many Aperol Spritz is in?
- 32:28Speaker 1: I'm drunk somewhere. Somewhere. Know this.
- 32:30Speaker 3: On a beautiful coast.
- 32:31Speaker 1: Know this. I'm half naked and drunk somewhere.
- 32:33Speaker 3: God, what a life. Ah, well, enjoy. And we'll be
- 32:36Speaker 3: back with more stories.
- 32:37Speaker 2: And you're definitely going to want to hear the next
- 32:39Speaker 2: episode because obviously we're going to hear what went down
- 32:41Speaker 2: on the date that goes tonight.
