- 9:09[SPEAKER_15]: I watch the news today they've led with the easy story that network peace on Prince Andrew but that story in the times this morning about Ben shown that was your idea man uh... yeah i don't mind saying that was your idea nice tribe and set a marker and a young one give me a break you mentioned that you mentioned that three four months ago oh yeah another thing they're believing that i agree with doctor kimble let the city manager come in up on you but the culture in it
- 9:39[SPEAKER_15]: is that what kimple said he did i agree with him i'm a god i can't believe he would say that but he's right on that i guess he's you know maybe doctor kimple is listening to me as well yeah he's a smart guy but i don't always agree with him you know when it comes to governing he should listen to me when it comes to taking out an appendix i'll defer to him yeah but that made the headlines and i said my gun i thought i heard mirror
- 10:05[SPEAKER_15]: No, I'm Mayor Graham did mention it then.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_15]: I had suggested create a zero increase budget.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_15]: What Mr.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_15]: Showman is saying will utilize the statutory that means in law tax cap at 3.5%.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_15]: That would mean that they have to cut about 1.5 or 1.7 out.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_15]: They can now change some assumptions and it won't have much effect on anything.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_15]: I know you can tell the guys run it you can God bless them and you can tell he's running for mayor when he starts saying that I just mark I can't see the yeah I don't know the thing on the flag mayor mm-hmm I believe that flag also represents transgender people and my wrong on that which one yet I was like the ABC alphabet soup group here oh yeah LGBTQ whatever it is plus yeah
- 11:04[SPEAKER_14]: oh yeah this is a mental disorder these people are belong on a psychiatrist couch they do not belong there's at least seven or eight inches deals with a transgender would arrive for shooting people up uh... just can't ignore that well apparently democrats want to say oh don't worry about it don't worry about it you know some women want some people do because
- 11:32[SPEAKER_15]: the fact that he was and they had pictures of him dressed up at look silly he looks silly my god I mean if there are transgender people who look good but he looks silly and it's a mental issue it's as quiet a mental illusy years ago and of course the ripples that be things are right they love criminals in this country to democrats you know

- 12:37[SPEAKER_15]: They're nice for you.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_13]: All right.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_13]: You tell me you're not going to want to spit you about the flag.
- 12:44[UNKNOWN]: We don't need a flag with some of sexual preference that you're pisses.
- 12:48[UNKNOWN]: I don't want to hear about it.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_15]: Okay.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_15]: You know what I'd like to see.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_13]: up with it, every movie you watch, every TV show you watch, every commercial, a couple of good guys come and lie on the couch, I couldn't watch it, Mayor.

- 13:16[SPEAKER_15]: and the sisters in tennial is a that's one phrase for it or the one there's a couple semi-quins attention centennial the 250th verse birthday of the country and Donald Trump's 80th birthday I think we should put up a Trump flag up on June 14th what happened I've already I already publicly stated my desire for a resolution to mayor I want to resolution before council I want them to think that she would trump cut the funny to a hospital in New York
- 13:48[SPEAKER_15]: Well, good for him.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_13]: The funding they gave it up.

- 14:17[UNKNOWN]: That's they're not going to bitch about it.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_15]: No.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_13]: Everything's all right.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_13]: They're worried about illegal aliens just to their own country.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_13]: illegal aliens to not have a right to do process, Danny.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_13]: They're not from this country.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_13]: They've got a 10 point list.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_13]: They want to put the just read the list, Mayor.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_15]: No.
- 14:39[UNKNOWN]: So, none of them in the garbage can.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_15]: They don't have the same right as I have.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_15]: okay well thank you for calling all right the angry man and he's angry today you know it reminds me of the late great actor Peter Finch in the movie network when he get up and give that screen and then just fall down yeah very reminiscent of that if you haven't seen it that's a great movie that certainly is a in the list of the top movies ever um...
- 15:16[SPEAKER_15]: Let's see what's going on here.
- 15:17[SPEAKER_15]: We talked about the flag, you know, the Ben shown proposal.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_15]: I've been shown.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_15]: I, you know, I think he got the message, just because you look like Zauron, Momdami, doesn't mean you have to act like him.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_15]: Mayor, Momdami.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_15]: Oh, for those of you who don't know, because you're watching the local news, it's a Ron Momsdami was elected mayor of New York City.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_15]: He's a Democrat socialist, socialist Democrat, Marxist, yeah.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_15]: He was like, anyway, he proposed a property taxes group, 9.5% and everybody was down there and the big city was, and we're proposing 20, 30% increases here, holy cow.
- 15:58[SPEAKER_15]: So even, so that's why Mr. Schoen, I think, finally came out of his shell and proposed something.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_15]: Now here's what he's got to do though, next council meeting, because you have to codify this somehow.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_15]: You can't just get a newspaper article, you got to type up a resolution, have the clerk put it knee agenda, you have the right to do that, you don't have to get permission from Mr. Wagner or any of that stuff.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_15]: let it be resolved that the proposed budget when it comes out will reflect a tax increase within the confines of the statutory tax cap.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_15]: Now the tax cap is state law.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_15]: Now the way it would normally work is all of a sudden in April a local law would show up on the ballot to override the tax cap and the council would do tofully approve it.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_15]: Now
- 16:56[SPEAKER_15]: That shouldn't even get into an agenda unless a council member is stupid enough to propose it.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_15]: So here's an opportunity for Mr.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_15]: Shown to shine.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_15]: He can say even though I look like my mom, Dami, I'm not.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_15]: All right.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_15]: All right.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_15]: We're going to take time out for a message and we write back.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_15]: Well, we were going to be right back.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_15]: Where's that?

- 18:02[SPEAKER_23]: Property owners with two or more rental units built before 1980 are required to register with the New York State lead rental registry.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_23]: This registry helps protect children and families by identifying housing that may pose a lead risk and by making sure landlords stay compliant with state law.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_23]: Lead poisoning is preventable and awareness is the first step.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_23]: To learn more about lead poisoning, how it affects children and what's required of property owners, visit jcphs.org, that's jcphs.org, your trusted source for information, resources, and public health guidance.

- 20:00[SPEAKER_26]: We can only fund 22 of them.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_26]: That means 60 pantries and programs are still waiting.

- 20:45[SPEAKER_15]: You know, we talk, we sometimes, I don't want to say we break news here, but we, you know, like that thing with the ban shown proposal, it was in the time system or in the other media, it takes a couple of days to work through their system.
- 20:58[SPEAKER_15]: But, um,
- 21:02[SPEAKER_15]: even a Joe Rich store.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_15]: I wish I had known about that.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_15]: We'd love to have Joe Rich.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_15]: Joe Rich is great.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_15]: I mean, he's got some memories of things.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_15]: He's, you know, institutional knowledge.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_15]: Joe's got institutional knowledge.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_15]: Kind of like I have the late Ted Ford used to have that.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_15]: They don't appreciate that in today's news business.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_15]: They all think they're the, they just, whatever.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_15]: I don't know.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_15]: Hey, take home cars.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_15]: For city employees, can you bring that up?
- 21:33[SPEAKER_15]: Is that allowed?
- 21:34[SPEAKER_15]: Ouch.
- 21:35[SPEAKER_15]: If you bring up takeover, you're not back in the blue, what's wrong with it?
- 21:38[SPEAKER_15]: I don't know who gets to take a car home, but I understand that's under consideration for changing.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_15]: That's come up in the budget talks behind the scenes beneath the radar, yes, under the cone of silence.
- 21:54[SPEAKER_15]: They're talking about the cars, the take home cars.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_15]: I don't get a take home car here.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_15]: I don't live far away, but I don't get a take home car.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_15]: Most people drive the work.
- 22:04[SPEAKER_15]: That's what you do.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_15]: Then if you got work to do, you go, you know, if you're a UPS driver, you don't get to take the truck home to you?
- 22:12[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_15]: So, speaking, I got a UPS thing this morning.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_15]: This is a total unrelated side.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_15]: It shows how in-up the state of New York is.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_15]: It was a box, I looked down and opened.
- 22:24[SPEAKER_15]: It's a bunch of play cards for some kind of millionaire for a life game, and, you know, the kind of put it in the terminal.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_15]: They never sent out anything over what the game is, what it is, nobody knows.
- 22:37[SPEAKER_15]: Nobody knows.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_15]: These state agencies are, I don't mean to pick on state employees,
- 22:45[SPEAKER_15]: I don't know.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_15]: It's just terrible.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_15]: But anyway, getting back to these cars, what do you think about it?
- 22:49[SPEAKER_15]: Should people take home cars?
- 22:53[SPEAKER_15]: I mean, we got everybody living outside the city.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_15]: Shouldn't I have a car to get home in?
- 22:58[SPEAKER_15]: We don't even know where half these people live.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_15]: Some of them live out of the county.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_15]: So they get cars to take home.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_15]: We'd like to know who's taking cars home.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_15]: And you know what?
- 23:10[SPEAKER_15]: We'd like it to stop.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_15]: You know the guys who really do the work and plow the roads and fix the water pipes and all that stuff They don't get cars do they to take home So that's it.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_15]: There's a news story.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_15]: There's something for the news hounds Um, are there any left?
- 23:36[SPEAKER_15]: There's no Larry Cole's laughter anybody like that in the news business got dresses so We just don't have There's no Joe Rich's left
- 23:46[SPEAKER_15]: Obtomkins Joe Richard beyond that story like stink on a skunk Nope God knows what they talk about God knows what's going to be on our local news today Good afternoon you're on the air Yeah, all before the city raises the taxes No attorney percent of the property or in this city You need to cut the problem at the top to top one percent
- 24:14[SPEAKER_08]: The people making over $100,000 a year at the city, like a city master, the police chief, the fire chief, the part of public's works, the chief, they all do a great job, but the taxpayer can't afford these races anymore.
- 24:32[SPEAKER_08]: And I'm one of those senior citizens that pay in a property taxis in the city.
- 24:36[SPEAKER_08]: Now, they're right now.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_08]: I'm not a happy person, a property tax payer, and the people can't afford the races.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_08]: uh... so in the park because uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh...
- 25:15[SPEAKER_15]: one of the hotline illuminate if you will.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah, there are strong feelings out there.
- 25:21[SPEAKER_15]: Now, they've been putting out this this past week.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_15]: Well, water towns, not as high as some other cities.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah, you gotta look, you can't look at it totally, you gotta look at the context of what we have here.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_15]: And the fact is, we've got a cross structure that's a little different than most cities.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_15]: We have a sales tax agreement.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_15]: even when it went up to 8% we continue to get the 24 whatever it is of the local share you know who negotiated that that's been millions of dollars for the city yeah millions so there's that and then we've got the hydro thing which is ending
- 26:10[SPEAKER_15]: so the constructors are different here and we're facing different challenges than almyra or corning or all these other places.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_15]: So don't be trotting out your Nikom, you know, sheathed it.
- 26:23[SPEAKER_15]: So it shows tax rates in different cities.
- 26:25[SPEAKER_15]: It doesn't, it's not relevant.
- 26:28[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_15]: We gotta get Zora on out of city hall there.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_15]: Good afternoon, you're on the air.
- 26:36[SPEAKER_15]: Don't move.
- 26:36[SPEAKER_15]: Hello.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_15]: Hello.
- 26:38[SPEAKER_15]: It's this peat mine to go.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_15]: Ah, good to hear from you.
- 26:42[SPEAKER_13]: I was listening to your talking about the take-home cars back when you were mayor.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_13]: In probably 93 or 94, I can't remember, just before I retired, I found a memo that came from former managed to demand your car a limelon, the listed talk about take-home vehicles.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_13]: So I think there's seven vehicles that could go home as I recall.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_13]: Now, let's go on by just what I can think thirty-some years ago.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_13]: I believe there was two or two in the police, four in the police department.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_13]: I believe it was achieved to Captain Detective Lieutenant and Lieutenant of Uncalls.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_15]: I believe there was a- And no people all lived in the city too.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_15]: Uh, mostly.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_13]: I don't remember.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_13]: Okay, it's a long time ago.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_13]: Can't remember who was there then.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_13]: I haven't, and then there was, oh, talking about the police, I believe there was a two-in-the-flier, and there was two public works, a separate cabinet, and there was a bus, uh, Jean Hayes walked to work at City Hall most every day.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_15]: Mm-hmm, God bless him.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_13]: I live a half a mile from the, from the little street, and probably didn't bring the car home,
- 28:08[SPEAKER_13]: I don't have to do this in time, so all the time I was there.
- 28:11[SPEAKER_13]: I kicked all the lunch with it because I used to tough out the rest of your Jeff, I had my lunch.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_13]: But there's a, there's a, it was a memo and I believe it came from opposite came from the council.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_13]: I think it was brought up.
- 28:26[SPEAKER_13]: And they caught a number of cars out that were allowed to go home.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_13]: And if you could get it was a clerk or if I looked to my junk, I brought them when I retired.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_15]: Here's the assignment for Channel 7 today.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_15]: Find out how many cars, what the list of cars are that go home and where they go.
- 28:45[SPEAKER_15]: It isn't a question of the police chief lives on Mara Drive and drives home to Mara Drive.
- 28:52[SPEAKER_15]: And then if he wants to go to a show in Syracuse he takes his own car.
- 28:56[SPEAKER_15]: This is a case of people living in far-flung communities taking cars home.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_15]: And I tell you, as a citizen, I don't like it.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah, yeah, I kind of like what he's shown seem to be coming around.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_15]: Somebody must have put the smelling salts in front of his nose or something.
- 29:20[SPEAKER_15]: Um, because he said, well, let's let's prepare a budget that's within the tax cap.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_15]: That's a start, not perfect, but it's a start.
- 29:28[SPEAKER_13]: Well, the tax cap is, I don't know, probably in, I think it's higher than, I think for the exemptions.
- 29:33[SPEAKER_15]: So three and a half percent, three and a half is what they're saying.
- 29:36[SPEAKER_15]: Yep.
- 29:41[SPEAKER_15]: Well, those people are out of control, too.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_13]: And so anyways, that's all I know about the take home cars.
- 29:48[SPEAKER_13]: That's at the time.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_13]: And it was back in 93 or 94.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_13]: And I can't remember.
- 29:53[SPEAKER_13]: It was a counter-revolution attached to order, who was just a memorandum for a former manager called Amelom at Amelom.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_15]: Well, you know, I think that was the era where we got rid of steps for management.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_15]: And because back in
- 30:09[SPEAKER_13]: the Larry, there was a something camp in my, the Lake Council person, a Larry Cook.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_15]: And I, well, I was there at the time, I supported Mr. Cook.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_13]: No, you were.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_13]: And then I missed a mix, reenacted that back in, he's, he's a Spender.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah, he's a Spender.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_15]: God, you don't, you don't, once you get something like that out of a contractor, out of a pay arrangement, you don't just give it back in.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_13]: I mean it's crazy if you can't afford it it was twenty seven twenty eight years all i think was taken out like a night it was a way to give them up it was a way to give themselves raises without doing anything well yeah i know i know what you're saying i don't want i don't want to hear it well anyway you listen to me but anyway it was taken out and then you can erase was that determined
- 31:08[SPEAKER_13]: wherever you were at that time is where you were.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_13]: And then any race that was given to.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_15]: Right, so if it was announced to the public, management gets a 3% race, they could depend on the fact that it was a 3% race.
- 31:24[SPEAKER_15]: Not that there was another big hidden step in there.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_13]: Well, there's 10, I believe there's 10 steps in the presence of me.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_13]: then they shouldn't get it and there shouldn't be a raise if they're getting these steps the steps are raised i'm not sure what the what the annual incremental date i can't remember the increment i don't have a thing spent like i said last one i had with the twenty-one twenty-two and were you were all right well we're gonna see what happens we're gonna see what uh... you know
- 32:07[SPEAKER_15]: Well, I pointed out yesterday, and I know some people won't like this, but everybody in New York City's upset because my mdami wants a 9.5% raise.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_15]: Up here, we're talking, 20% and 30% and nobody blinks an eye.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_13]: He's waiting for the governor to bail him out.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_15]: And she will.
- 32:24[SPEAKER_13]: Oh, probably.
- 32:25[SPEAKER_15]: She's going to let him tax the tax of rich people with.
- 32:29[SPEAKER_15]: We could have a millionaires tax in water town, but we don't have any millionaires.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_15]: Okay, listen, I got to run, all right?
- 32:38[SPEAKER_15]: I know thank you.
- 32:40[SPEAKER_15]: I know.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah, we're worked up today because it's a beautiful day outside.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_15]: I hope you're enjoying the weather.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_15]: It's 30.
- 32:47[SPEAKER_15]: I don't know.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_15]: My car said 42 on the way over now.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_15]: It says 30.
- 32:51[SPEAKER_15]: Let me look at my phone.
- 32:53[SPEAKER_15]: The phone is the ultimate arbiter of temperature, I think.
- 32:58[SPEAKER_15]: Let's see.
- 33:02[SPEAKER_15]: What do we got here?
- 33:08[SPEAKER_15]: And it's kind of sunny out there half sunny and we're gonna melt some snow, okay?
- 33:12[SPEAKER_15]: Am I too?
- 33:15[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah Okay, taxpayers should check into county policy on take home vehicles Maybe they should I don't know what their policy is Maybe maybe mister Who's our favorite legislator?
- 33:29[SPEAKER_15]: Oh my god, I can't even think of his name anymore.
- 33:34[SPEAKER_15]: All right, we'll be back with more in a moment
- 33:39[SPEAKER_10]: AM-1240.
- 33:40[SPEAKER_10]: Don't you ATN.

- 33:57[SPEAKER_20]: Anthony Constantino is a strong Trump Republican who fights for you, not Washington Insiders.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_20]: That's why he's funding his own campaign for Congress, no special interests, no donor class, no strings attached.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_20]: Anthony Constantino answers to one group only, the people who live and work right here.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_20]: He'll fight to cut taxes, eliminate waste and fraud, and he'll fight to put more money in your pocket.
- 34:27[SPEAKER_20]: He'll fight for better cell phone and internet service across the North country, and Anthony Constantino will always fight to protect our local farmers.
- 34:41[SPEAKER_18]: I'm Anthony Calzantino and I approve this message.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_05]: Paid for by Constantino for Congress.

- 36:59[SPEAKER_15]: Somebody says, it sounds like there's a movement on revoking city take home cars.
- 37:04[SPEAKER_15]: Yes, we've reported it.
- 37:04[SPEAKER_15]: I've heard it from like three different people.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_15]: Not saying that makes it true.
- 37:09[SPEAKER_15]: But, you know, sometimes you got to hear it first here.
- 37:13[SPEAKER_15]: Somebody says, why aren't people blaming Cliff and Lisa?
- 37:17[SPEAKER_15]: Well, simply because they're gone.
- 37:20[SPEAKER_15]: And you can sit and blame them all you want.
- 37:23[SPEAKER_15]: Should the pool have been built?
- 37:24[SPEAKER_15]: No.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_15]: Should the golf course have been bought?
- 37:27[SPEAKER_15]: No, in my opinion.
- 37:29[SPEAKER_15]: But that's done.
- 37:31[SPEAKER_15]: That ship has sailed.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_15]: So there's no point talking about it now.
- 37:36[SPEAKER_15]: Somebody said taxpayers should check into Jefferson County policy on take on vehicles.
- 37:40[SPEAKER_15]: I don't know what it is.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_15]: I don't know.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_15]: And another one, somebody said great idea, Jeff, on having the times come up with a list of who is taking a car home and where do they live?
- 37:51[SPEAKER_15]: the times should be advocating for the taxpayers.
- 37:54[SPEAKER_15]: I agree, but I feel bad because they don't nobody working there anymore.
- 37:58[SPEAKER_15]: And I feel bad about that.
- 37:59[SPEAKER_15]: I'm not anti-paper.
- 38:01[SPEAKER_15]: I mean, I didn't like some of the people who used to work there, but you know, at least they work there.
- 38:07[SPEAKER_15]: And it's just like, well, it's sad.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_15]: There is no oversight.
- 38:15[SPEAKER_15]: So,
- 38:17[SPEAKER_15]: We'll find out what there is something because I've heard it from a couple of sources about this take home car issue.
- 38:24[SPEAKER_15]: I never have heard anything about it before.
- 38:27[SPEAKER_15]: So the fact that I'm hearing something.
- 38:29[SPEAKER_15]: Really great fine.
- 38:31[SPEAKER_15]: Means there's something up.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_15]: Now maybe I'm wrong.
- 38:33[SPEAKER_15]: If I am fine.
- 38:35[SPEAKER_15]: I'm not a licensed newsman.
- 38:37[SPEAKER_15]: I want you to know that.
- 38:38[SPEAKER_15]: But I do have a nose for news.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_08]: But after noon you're on the air.
- 38:48[SPEAKER_08]: I hope that they don't squander it, uh, to fix the, uh, water reservoir up on Thompson Park and also the, uh, water plan over on Eastern Boulevard and need to be fixed from what I've heard.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_16]: Mm-hmm.
- 39:01[SPEAKER_08]: Okay.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_15]: I don't know what they're going to be.
- 39:04[SPEAKER_08]: These taxes city, county, state, and federal taxes, and when I see, uh, tax money being squandered, I'm not going to have to, uh, tax bear.
- 39:14[SPEAKER_08]: The last tax money was squandered under the city was a sidewalk program where the city got $17 million on each side of them was supposed to go for each side of Tony to have money to reach out to the city and the money was squandered back in the 90s when the city got it to begin with and the sidewalks haven't been fixed since I still only have my sidewalk fixed over here where I live on the north side well nobody walks on that
- 39:43[SPEAKER_08]: I have people walking from my house.
- 39:45[SPEAKER_08]: On the winter time, but somewhere on time, I do yes.
- 39:48[SPEAKER_08]: And back in 1975, I had the city come in here, we placed the sewer line in the house, and they ruined the sidewalk, and they never came back and fixed it.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_08]: And I still have her ruined the sidewalk and from my house, into the house from the street.
- 40:04[SPEAKER_15]: Hmm.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_15]: Wow.
- 40:07[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 40:08[SPEAKER_08]: Every time I rains, I have a great big puddle on the sidewalk because of it.
- 40:13[SPEAKER_08]: Hmm.
- 40:13[SPEAKER_15]: All right, sorry to hear that.
- 40:15[SPEAKER_08]: Okay, thank you.
- 40:16[SPEAKER_15]: Thanks, by now.
- 40:17[SPEAKER_15]: Oh my goodness.
- 40:21[SPEAKER_15]: Well, what do you have to say?

- 44:32[SPEAKER_15]: don't go down in a basement full of propane you know you've got things like light switches you've got admissions on furnaces and all of that that's what happened there probably uh... natural gas would tend to rise when any event you want to get all the doors and windows opening get everybody out of the building if you suspect it yeah i mean i don't think that's rocket science but i'll tell you something though i've i've seen that i've seen situations
- 44:58[SPEAKER_15]: were like a fire alarm went off, the malfunctioned or somebody pulled him.
- 45:03[SPEAKER_15]: And people just sit there.
- 45:05[SPEAKER_15]: Oh, what do I do?
- 45:06[SPEAKER_15]: That's kind of loud.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_15]: Can you turn that down?
- 45:09[SPEAKER_15]: You know, I mean, not everybody's a rocket science in this scientist.
- 45:15[SPEAKER_15]: So, but then even if you got gas, don't mess around with it.
- 45:20[SPEAKER_15]: I'm sure there's guidelines on your grid bill.
- 45:23[SPEAKER_15]: No.
- 45:26[SPEAKER_15]: I paid my grid bill incidentally.
- 45:28[SPEAKER_15]: I know some of you were critical of me for complaining about the high size I paid it because I wanted Kathy Hokel to get that 11% sale stacks.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_15]: She needs it.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_15]: She needs it to fund vital services in this state including the $1.5 billion in each of the next two years for the City of New York.
- 45:48[SPEAKER_15]: I wanted Kathy to have that money and I gave it to her.
- 45:52[SPEAKER_15]: Okay, 755, 1240, the phone number, if you'd like to give us a call to be on the show of shows today, what else is in the news?
- 46:02[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah, see an add-on here for that cannabis book, can I talk about cannabis in order online?
- 46:07[SPEAKER_15]: Did they deliver to, I mean, can they mail it to you?
- 46:12[SPEAKER_15]: Didn't it something that you have
- 46:15[SPEAKER_15]: Well, some people I know have had their pots, people come to their house for years, but it's amazing.
- 46:20[SPEAKER_15]: You can legally have it delivered to, you know, order it online.
- 46:25[SPEAKER_15]: Wow.
- 46:27[SPEAKER_15]: Wow.
- 46:28[SPEAKER_15]: Remember when that nice lady, uh, uh, Anita, uh, yeah, whatever.
- 46:34[SPEAKER_15]: And, um, she come in and talk about the evils we need, know that, now she's got to sing the praises of it because she's
- 46:44[SPEAKER_15]: part of the government funded weed industry in a roundabout way so i mean it's kind of a weird thing used to be weed was such a bad thing now it's like wonderful and uh... can't but it missed a show and say we had 15 weed shops in the city something like that not to mention street dealers and people who deliver to your house so
- 47:07[SPEAKER_15]: Oh, tell ya.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_15]: In fact, there's more people along certain age groups now smoking weed than there are drinking.
- 47:16[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah, it's drinking.
- 47:17[SPEAKER_15]: It's been vilified in many respects, you know, there are issues with it.
- 47:21[SPEAKER_15]: There's no doubt about it, but more people are smoking weed now.
- 47:26[SPEAKER_15]: It's that's a harmless thing, you know, it's a harmless diversion.
- 47:29[SPEAKER_15]: That's what they say.
- 47:29[SPEAKER_15]: Don't general.
- 47:32[SPEAKER_15]: Let's see, fire the morning, 400 block of arsenal street, I guess that's all cleared up now.
- 47:38[SPEAKER_15]: Hiker freezes the death, while going to New York's highest, he'd guess that'd be Mount Marshal.
- 47:43[SPEAKER_15]: Don't go out in this weather, and there's those people in California, my God, stay back at the ski resort.
- 47:52[SPEAKER_15]: You know, don't go out in the middle of it.
- 47:53[SPEAKER_15]: No, I've got to have that virgin snow.
- 47:55[SPEAKER_15]: I've got to feel it.
- 47:57[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah, I'm not going to go out.
- 47:58[SPEAKER_15]: Eight, nine people dead now, because of it.
- 48:02[SPEAKER_15]: Good afternoon, you're on the air.
- 48:03[SPEAKER_15]: Oh, good afternoon, you're on the air.
- 48:08[SPEAKER_11]: I talked with our leader, really Nelson, one of my things with our country singers, which I'm not a big country stand, but he's one of my favorite.
- 48:20[SPEAKER_11]: He said he quit smoking weed, and now he does adibles and sad, so he still gets his D.E.C., but he doesn't smoke anymore, he's just, he's
- 48:37[SPEAKER_15]: Well, there you go, that's a good idea, I guess, but at least you're not getting those gases in your you know, in your lungs.
- 48:49[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, and that was always the thing with me.
- 48:53[SPEAKER_15]: I just didn't think it was a good idea to inhale hot gases, but yeah, I like to be alcohol or water.
- 49:00[SPEAKER_11]: I guess if you're
- 49:06[SPEAKER_15]: So on the animals, the only thing about it is, you know, you look at them and look like a candy bar of many of them.
- 49:11[SPEAKER_15]: So I mean, if you put a hussie bar in front of me, I'm going to wolf down the whole thing, but don't do it with that.
- 49:16[SPEAKER_15]: Just you just need a little piece of it because this stuff is quite strong these days.
- 49:21[SPEAKER_15]: So if you're going to get into that stuff, you've got to, you know, you could overdo it easily.
- 49:26[SPEAKER_15]: And then you get, you turn into a maniac or something like that and whatever.
- 49:34[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, well, that's another thing about the animals, when you're smoking it, you know what kind of buzz you're getting, almost instantly, when you're eating it, the effects take a while to do so.
- 49:48[SPEAKER_11]: That could be dangerous if you don't know what you're doing to say, I think get your buzz yet, so I'll just eat more.
- 49:54[SPEAKER_11]: Right, exactly, yeah.
- 49:56[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah, okay, all right, thanks a lot.
- 49:59[SPEAKER_15]: I know.
- 50:00[SPEAKER_15]: But after dinner, I'm here.
- 50:04[SPEAKER_13]: Oh, not much, uh, just listening to the show and uh, you got the weed topic going, so I figured I'd give it a call.
- 50:11[SPEAKER_15]: What do you think?
- 50:13[SPEAKER_13]: Oh, I, I've been smoking weed for about 35 years.
- 50:19[SPEAKER_13]: So I like weed.
- 50:21[SPEAKER_15]: There you go.
- 50:22[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah.
- 50:23[SPEAKER_13]: I think the alcoholist people rely on.
- 50:26[SPEAKER_13]: Really?
- 50:26[SPEAKER_13]: Everybody, but I just think the, uh, they're both, they're both scared drugs.
- 50:33[SPEAKER_13]: that's for sure okay well that's fine so you're in favor of weed for sure yes i am have you ever spoke has no no and that's just a constant train of the weed it's just when you take all the bad stuff out of the flower and a lot of people think it's uh... it's worse or but that for you wouldn't
- 50:58[SPEAKER_13]: But in reality, it's better for you.
- 51:01[SPEAKER_15]: Now, like, our FK Judiors says he would do Coke off of toilet seats.
- 51:05[SPEAKER_15]: Is that okay?
- 51:06[SPEAKER_13]: No.
- 51:07[UNKNOWN]: No, okay.
- 51:08[SPEAKER_13]: It's disgusting.
- 51:10[SPEAKER_13]: And I just got done reading article on how some water systems they're finding a lot of cocaine in the water.
- 51:22[SPEAKER_15]: That's okay.
- 51:23[SPEAKER_15]: It's what America wants.
- 51:29[SPEAKER_15]: They want no, but they want a lot of weed.
- 51:32[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah, I like a lot of weed.
- 51:34[SPEAKER_13]: I like a lot of weed.
- 51:35[SPEAKER_15]: That looks what's a good age to start smoking weed in your mind.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_13]: Well, I started early.
- 51:41[SPEAKER_13]: I don't think it was a smart.
- 51:43[SPEAKER_15]: No, how early was that?
- 51:46[SPEAKER_13]: I started smoking around 15.
- 51:48[SPEAKER_15]: Really?
- 51:49[SPEAKER_15]: Okay.
- 51:49[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah.
- 51:50[SPEAKER_15]: Well, you turned out okay, didn't you?
- 51:52[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah, I think so.
- 51:53[SPEAKER_13]: I don't like cigarettes.
- 51:55[SPEAKER_13]: I think cigarettes are really bad for you.
- 51:57[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah, now did you smoke those, too?
- 52:01[SPEAKER_13]: I, I used to, I used to back in my 20s, but I don't anymore.
- 52:05[SPEAKER_15]: Now what, what age, when you started smoking cigarettes?
- 52:09[SPEAKER_13]: I would probably say I started smoking cigarettes before I started smoking the reaper, so I read it on 15, too.
- 52:16[SPEAKER_15]: Okay, what about drinking alcohol, when did you start doing that?
- 52:21[SPEAKER_13]: Well, I was shortly after around 17.
- 52:24[SPEAKER_13]: I grew up in the neighborhood.
- 52:26[SPEAKER_13]: In this city right here, you know, there was a lot of stuff going on.
- 52:30[SPEAKER_13]: East Hills was an awesome place to grow up, but there was a lot of bad stuff in there, too.
- 52:37[SPEAKER_13]: So what other?
- 52:39[SPEAKER_15]: Any other drugs you want to talk about, or?
- 52:41[SPEAKER_13]: Well, I did some LSD, too.
- 52:44[SPEAKER_13]: Do you ever try LSD?
- 52:46[SPEAKER_15]: No, I haven't.
- 52:47[SPEAKER_13]: No, you never try LSD, 23 years.
- 52:50[SPEAKER_13]: No.
- 52:51[SPEAKER_15]: Much droums or anything like that.
- 52:57[SPEAKER_13]: whatever life, you know, you've had to wait for water to high school, water to high school, the pretty radical school.
- 53:05[SPEAKER_15]: I didn't know anybody in water down high who I knew did LSD at the time.
- 53:12[SPEAKER_15]: Now, there were always stories.
- 53:14[SPEAKER_13]: You probably did, you know, somebody they just covered, we didn't tell you about it.
- 53:18[SPEAKER_15]: Next time I see Walt, I'll ask him, but I, I don't recall anybody doing
- 53:27[SPEAKER_15]: Certain teachers smoking with the students and all that.
- 53:29[SPEAKER_13]: I don't know if that still goes on, but Well, I'm not sure about that either.
- 53:34[SPEAKER_13]: There's way too much tech nodes for people to get caught.
- 53:37[SPEAKER_15]: Right.
- 53:38[SPEAKER_13]: You know what I'm saying?
- 53:39[SPEAKER_13]: But another one I tried was an obstacle until I tried pay the money.
- 53:44[SPEAKER_13]: And all these drugs I got from Tomson Park, right here in Waterdale.
- 53:49[SPEAKER_15]: Really?
- 53:50[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah, so back the years ago, I would have started with that in the 90s, 94.
- 53:56[SPEAKER_13]: But there's a big thing, and a lot of people don't know this, but there's some that new.
- 54:02[SPEAKER_13]: But there was a big thing with nastro and now it was coming around, and it was called microdats.
- 54:08[SPEAKER_16]: Uh-huh.
- 54:09[SPEAKER_13]: Well, you know, any one of the, um, and mostly what it is is it's the, uh, it's the post from the peony plant, and then it's, and a little, uh, just with the pharmacies do make medication, and then,
- 54:25[SPEAKER_15]: Oh my god.
- 54:26[SPEAKER_15]: Back at the time.
- 54:26[SPEAKER_15]: Now, what?
- 54:27[SPEAKER_15]: Where are in Thompson Park?
- 54:30[SPEAKER_13]: Well, you know, just sitting.
- 54:32[SPEAKER_13]: Back in the day when they used to have tight day or they used to have like, you know, they used to have a lot of events up there.
- 54:40[SPEAKER_13]: This city used to be a radical city until people came along and decided they were going to start putting everything under control.
- 54:49[SPEAKER_15]: Hmm.
- 54:49[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah, I know.
- 54:50[SPEAKER_15]: Well, I remember the 80s.
- 54:51[SPEAKER_15]: A lot of stuff was going on.
- 54:56[SPEAKER_13]: have fun with your life.
- 54:58[SPEAKER_15]: Well, I had some fun not all those things but now what about other things in Thompson Park there?
- 55:03[SPEAKER_15]: We say that workout area.
- 55:05[SPEAKER_15]: It looks over over the high school with some kind of hook-up spot.
- 55:08[SPEAKER_15]: Is that true?
- 55:10[SPEAKER_13]: I don't hear you on that side of that pond, that side of the park because I heard that's really a lot of stuff goes on and I just agree with but you know.
- 55:19[SPEAKER_16]: Like what?
- 55:20[UNKNOWN]: That doesn't work.
- 55:21[UNKNOWN]: Thompson Park is a really great place to be.
- 55:24[SPEAKER_13]: You know, I just, uh, you have heard the same stories you're probably talking about.
- 55:29[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah, I don't think they're true, but, you know, you know, you never know, though.
- 55:35[SPEAKER_13]: Well, it's been a very interesting conversation with you today.
- 55:38[SPEAKER_15]: Well, thank you.
- 55:39[SPEAKER_15]: I appreciate your insight into, into things.
- 55:42[SPEAKER_15]: All righty?
- 55:43[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah, no, no time.
- 55:44[SPEAKER_13]: Hey, it's been one of them really old school winners too, don't you think?
- 55:49[SPEAKER_15]: Old fashioned winter, but it's looking better now, so we're happy.
- 55:55[SPEAKER_15]: Thank you right now, yeah, from time remember people used to go up with their cars and open the tailgate or whatever up and have big speakers and play them and then Then the city council cracked down on that because they didn't like well, it was too much well, you know that kind of music, you know what it was I can't say it I can't say it, but
- 56:18[SPEAKER_15]: But they kind of cracked down on that.
- 56:20[SPEAKER_15]: Remember Chief Anakin, I went out and bought a sound to meet her or something and he was up there measuring the bombardy, bombardy, the bombardy sound and all that.
- 56:28[SPEAKER_15]: They don't do that anymore either.
- 56:31[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah.
- 56:33[SPEAKER_15]: So, I don't know.
- 56:37[SPEAKER_15]: What can you say?
- 56:38[SPEAKER_15]: That was with the good old days.
- 56:43[SPEAKER_15]: 755, 1240, the phone number.
- 56:46[SPEAKER_15]: If you'd like to be on the show of shows, we'll put you on.
- 56:49[SPEAKER_15]: Talk about things.
- 56:50[SPEAKER_15]: I wouldn't get much comment on Prince Andrew, but that's okay.
- 56:53[SPEAKER_15]: I don't think you can hear, I mean.
- 56:56[SPEAKER_15]: Is there anybody other, a handful of Democrats like Danny who cares about Epstein or anything?
- 57:02[SPEAKER_15]: That is.
- 57:04[SPEAKER_15]: I don't know.
- 57:05[SPEAKER_15]: I just think it's like who cares.
- 57:08[SPEAKER_15]: I keep hearing about, well, the victims, who are the victims?
- 57:11[SPEAKER_15]: A lot of them come out and say what happened or something.
- 57:13[SPEAKER_15]: What are you going to do now?
- 57:15[SPEAKER_15]: 20, 30 years later.
- 57:17[SPEAKER_15]: You know, give them some money.
- 57:19[SPEAKER_15]: Got it, ladies.
- 57:20[SPEAKER_15]: Usually what people.
- 57:22[SPEAKER_15]: There's no desire for some kind of abstract concept of justice.
- 57:27[SPEAKER_15]: Oh, we got to have justice.
- 57:28[SPEAKER_15]: No, or whatever else.
- 57:33[SPEAKER_15]: It's all about the Benjamin's.
- 57:35[SPEAKER_15]: So give them all some Benjamin's.
- 57:38[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah, I'm sick of hearing about it.
- 57:39[SPEAKER_15]: Good afternoon, you're on the air.
- 57:41[SPEAKER_13]: You know, Jeff, they used to let you stay in the park till 11.
- 57:45[SPEAKER_13]: And then I think they'd run us out.
- 57:46[SPEAKER_13]: And then we'd go to Hellsynch if you were... No, I'm okay.
- 57:49[SPEAKER_15]: Alrighty.
- 57:50[SPEAKER_15]: In any event, you used to be a gop to the park and anything.
- 57:54[SPEAKER_15]: We used to go up there.
- 57:56[SPEAKER_15]: You used to, you know, get a case of beer, two cases, whatever.
- 57:59[SPEAKER_15]: Sometimes we'd play this hide and seek game.
- 58:01[SPEAKER_15]: We'd...
- 58:03[SPEAKER_15]: one car tried to park out in the woods somewhere and the other one tried to find your something I mean there was some fun up there and then the dooters came along the friends of the park and all of that oh you know you can't be doing that uh... we tried to I don't know when the park closes I think it's eleven is it eleven you know what about the old days are hot summer night
- 58:29[SPEAKER_15]: Like in the meatloaf song, you know, paradise by the dashboard light, you can't do that in water town anymore.
- 58:36[SPEAKER_15]: There is no paradise by the dashboard lightness city anymore.
- 58:40[SPEAKER_15]: There used to be trust me, there used to be times of change, but for the better, you don't know about that.
- 58:47[SPEAKER_15]: I mean, we're told that, we've got all these people who hector us and, you know, behaving a certain way, but, you know, I don't know.
- 59:00[SPEAKER_15]: I'm not sure it was, it was weren't bad times back then.
- 59:03[SPEAKER_15]: People had good, and when you could go get a beer ball, remember me, buy a beer ball, and take it somewhere, throw some ice in the box, and it was free.
- 59:13[SPEAKER_15]: You can't do that anymore, as it was rules, as it was rules.
- 59:19[SPEAKER_15]: And yet, are people happy here now?
- 59:22[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah, they're miserable.
- 59:24[SPEAKER_15]: Listen to the guy complaining about his side, but people are miserable now, they're not happy.
- 59:29[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah.
- 59:30[SPEAKER_15]: So anyway, um, I think that's our show.
- 59:36[SPEAKER_15]: Why somebody said, I used to get, I can't talk about that.
- 59:41[SPEAKER_15]: Doing the dirty deed up.
- 59:42[SPEAKER_15]: I can't talk about it.
- 59:44[SPEAKER_15]: So anyway, uh, that's our show for today.
- 59:46[SPEAKER_15]: Glenn Currie will be in at five.
- 59:47[SPEAKER_15]: He's got something to say.
- 59:49[SPEAKER_15]: And we broke a couple news stories today.
- 59:51[SPEAKER_15]: So that's good.
- 59:52[SPEAKER_15]: And I want to remind you, you're listening to the hotline.
- 59:55[SPEAKER_15]: And you're doing it, of course, on a community broadcast to station.
