- 3:29Yeah. Out the algorithm game.
- 3:31Yes it's it. Nasty but necessary function of
- 3:34all this crap. So if you want to leave us a
- 3:38review, or if you have already left us a review, we have seen
- 3:41you. Thank you.
- 3:42Yes. But we appreciate all future
- 3:45reviews, especially on Apple. It's the big.
- 3:47It's the big one. Yeah.
- 3:48So yeah, we read them all I every now and then I go on and I
- 3:51look through and see if there's any new ones.
- 3:53And thank you so much. Much also caveat, if you hear
- 3:57all this racket going on on my end, I apologize.
- 4:00People are. Yeah, we're really just trying
- 4:02to make it through this podcast today because there's a lot of
- 4:04things working against us. Here gonna struggle, truly it
- 4:08has my dogs barking. This is my boyfriend's, making
- 4:11its kitchen, making dinner in the other room.
- 4:13It's like there are airplanes flying over my house non-stop at
- 4:17this point. My stomach pumps showing off.
- 4:20Its just one of our goals in 2022 was not stop being a mess.
- 4:25So you're just going to have to do and also there's no money for
- 4:31building a real sound booth. So this is the reality.
- 4:34No, this is what we have earlier with it but we kind of love it,
- 4:38too. It's our, it's our thing that
- 4:39keeps us humble. Yes.
- 4:44So what are we actually discussing this week?
- 4:48My dear space twin. Oh, a thing that we both feel
- 4:52prickly about I think. Yes, we're prickly prick.
- 4:55We is the word did Padme. Amidala died of a broken heart.
- 5:00No short answer. No, see you next week.
- 5:02No, thanks for stepping in, folks.
- 5:06Yep, bye bye. No, it's it's there's a lot more
- 5:09to it but you and I both feel pretty strongly that the answer
- 5:12to that. Question is no yeah it just rubs
- 5:16me the wrong way, completely considering the characters
- 5:20backstory. Yeah, I mean Padme was no
- 5:25Delicate flower. No, it's by anniversary shied
- 5:29away from a challenge. No.
- 5:32And yes, some shit happened there at the end of Revenge of
- 5:38the Sith but The parallel that I can't get over that.
- 5:43I really think is the reason why she died.
- 5:47I mean, the theory out there is that the shit that happened at
- 5:50the end of Revenge of the Sith. She had her babies and then she
- 5:53just passed away because Anakin was gone.
- 5:57So, to speak for had changed turned into Vader, Etc.
- 6:01That's the standing. Theory, I guess.
- 6:06Yeah, I don't know. A lot of people have made memes
- 6:10about it. Like, I'll Pat me.
- 6:12She died of a sad sadness and Pad me.
- 6:15Yes, sad Padme. Like yeah, she was sad, but like
- 6:19she had a lot of shit to be sad about prior to that too and she
- 6:22never withered away. Yeah, you know, it's not like
- 6:25her life was exactly all rainbows and butterflies.
- 6:28No, I mean, I mean it was one. It was just one challenge after
- 6:34another, for this. And we'll, all of attack of the
- 6:36Clones was basically one giant assassination attempt.
- 6:40Yes. And we've seen in the Clone Wars
- 6:42series, she's been tried to be she has it has been tried over
- 6:48and over to kill this woman, you know, she's been poisoned.
- 6:53She's been, you know, assassins getting in place to, you know,
- 6:59throw overthrow her and the rest of the Senate and bunch of other
- 7:02senators and You know. Yeah.
- 7:06But come on. Well and what wasn't she like
- 7:08the youngest Queen ever of now? Yes, and absolutely.
- 7:12And instantly went from that and to being a senator, which is
- 7:15just mind-blowing to me, you know?
- 7:18Well she 25 what I was doing when I was 25.
- 7:22Not even close. Nope.
- 7:28Yeah, it's you shames me? Yes, she was choose pretty
- 7:33badass. The shit she was juggling.
- 7:36Yeah was okay. And then she becomes pregnant
- 7:39with a Jedi's child which they only thought they were having
- 7:43one until you know, true popped out us.
- 7:45Oh my God, there's a second one and there's two of them.
- 7:49No. Do you actually think this woman
- 7:53who is so dedicated to any cause she truly believed in would
- 7:58abandon her children because of of the sads No, no not at all.
- 8:04I don't see her. Being that kind of parent know
- 8:08like have the kids and then fucking bail and just leave her
- 8:12chat like it did that it does it sounds ridiculous because it is
- 8:15yeah. Yeah, and it's just, it's, it
- 8:19takes this woman who was a powerful female character, I'm
- 8:24using air quotes here, because it's like a yes or phrase and
- 8:28yeah, no, pop culture, she's the entire prequels sets, her up and
- 8:37establishes her. Is this like a strong-willed
- 8:40woman? This intelligent woman intuitive
- 8:42woman and then to turn it on its head and have her Is there and
- 8:48die from sadness? It's just like And I don't know
- 8:52if George Lucas has ever explained.
- 8:54What has killed her but I like the fan theories.
- 8:58You know much better than the idea that like she literally
- 9:01just lost the will to live. I think that's what the Droid
- 9:05says about her. You know, they can't explain it
- 9:08will to live the will to live. No, her two children are her
- 9:14will to live. Yeah.
- 9:16You don't think she would have stuck around to make sure like
- 9:19it just doesn't make any sense. Like well, in her dying breath
- 9:23was that she still believe there's good and Anakin.
- 9:25So, she's just so strong in her conviction.
- 9:31I just don't see it. She was someone who dedicated
- 9:36herself to whatever she needed to dedicate herself to.
- 9:40And I believe that she would have definitely Catered herself
- 9:43to those children. As she would have been an
- 9:47excellent mother, we see her motherly Tendencies towards
- 9:49Ahsoka towards other people. She didn't even know, but that
- 9:53were in need, she was willing to sacrifice herself over and over
- 9:58and over for the greater good. Yeah, you know, in many
- 10:02instances, in the Clone Wars television show, so I just don't
- 10:06see like her losing that at the end, her giving that up, you
- 10:11know, she's too strong of a person.
- 10:14To just wither and die from whatever losing her will to
- 10:18live. There is she didn't lose
- 10:19anything. It was taken from her.
- 10:21Yeah, I believe by Palpatine. Yeah.
- 10:25Yeah. That's a me.
- 10:26Had the ability to do it. Well, they say write that he
- 10:30drained her life and put it into Anakin.
- 10:32Yeah. And I actually believe that 100%
- 10:35Anakin was barely alive. Yeah, it's crazy.
- 10:38And it was alive at all after what he had been through.
- 10:41Yes. And then what, they put him
- 10:43through to Ian like attach those metal arms and Limbs and yeah,
- 10:49fix that skin. And when he at the end of
- 10:52Revenge of the Sith when he like comes to and stands up and is
- 10:56fully Vader, and he asks, where Padme has Palpatine, says it
- 11:00appears in your anger, you killed her and that has never
- 11:05made sense to me. Yeah, you know, without any kind
- 11:08of like researching and X getting an explanation from
- 11:13fandom Basically is opposed to like from the filmmakers in the
- 11:17theater. I was like he killed her with
- 11:19his anger when like, well. I think Palpatine was using him
- 11:25for choking her on Mustafar. He blamed he set it up.
- 11:30So that Vader thought that he killed her there on.
- 11:33Mustafar, do you think he that Palpatine even knew like, how
- 11:38did Palpatine oh padmé was even on Mustafar.
- 11:43I always wondered if you just said that so that it would make
- 11:46Anakin even angrier and Like, well, if that's definitely why
- 11:51he told him that. I'm not sure if he meant, I
- 11:55don't know if he knew about Mustafar, it seems you could use
- 11:58the excuse that Palpatine knew everything.
- 12:00Sure, you know, but I'm not sure if he knew the specific story,
- 12:05if you just straight made that up and it just so happened.
- 12:08That Vader would have recalled in that moment Force choking her
- 12:12on most of, I don't think that Anakin it in that moment, on
- 12:17Mustafar intended to kill her. yeah, he just put her off to the
- 12:26side if you will. Yeah.
- 12:28Because his real his real issue was with Obi-Wan in that moment.
- 12:32Yeah, I don't know. But then again, when you are in
- 12:35a fit of blind rage, I don't even know if you're thinking
- 12:41correctly and clearly Anakin was not.
- 12:43He was strictly driven by emotion.
- 12:47Yeah, there was no common sense. There was no.
- 12:52You know anything that was helping him other than his just
- 12:55his blind rage. It was clearly not premeditated.
- 12:58It just happened in the moment because he like Snapped on a
- 13:00dime. As soon as he saw everyone
- 13:02standing in the doorway of the shuttle, then he was like you're
- 13:09in cahoots and now I hate you both.
- 13:11Yeah. That was its or any other
- 13:14situation, he probably would never have thought that.
- 13:17Can you imagine thinking that at all?
- 13:18I mean that's I mean, come on. Can this I know I love Anakin
- 13:22but damn, like really, you're going to go to that.
- 13:25I always found that annoying because they started
- 13:27establishing that with one seen previously, where Padme said
- 13:32that, Obi-Wan it stopped by to say goodbye, before he left for
- 13:36utapau. Mmm, and Anakin was like,
- 13:39Obi-Wan was here like, without my permission.
- 13:41I was like that came out of nowhere that he was suddenly
- 13:44jealous of Obi-Wan's times with Padme and that was, I just think
- 13:49that's weak storytelling. But it is.
- 13:53Yeah, I don't know. Yeah, definitely.
- 13:55It like turned on a dime, too fast for me in that scene for
- 13:59him to, like suddenly be jealous and like assume that Padme was
- 14:03betraying him. Well, you could, you could
- 14:07reason. Now, I'm not, I'm not for this
- 14:10storyline. I am not here for this Theory.
- 14:12I'm not here trying to back up the fact that Anakin rightfully
- 14:15got jealous of Obi-Wan, but you could, if you think about the
- 14:19final seasons of Clone Wars prior to season 7, he did have
- 14:23The Clovis. Jealousy.
- 14:28That's true. So, mmm, I mean, maybe filoni
- 14:32and Company put the, you know, that was the beginning of him
- 14:37Miss trusting. Mmm.
- 14:39Padmé a little, and then Obi-Wan, did it.
- 14:41And all of a sudden, he's just like, why is this keep
- 14:43repeating? I'm just trying to think of it
- 14:44from, but at the time, there was no Clone Wars.
- 14:48Yeah, TV show. So we just have to go off of
- 14:52what Lucas did. And it was weak, storytelling.
- 14:55Yes. Yeah.
- 14:55But I do agree with you that it like with Clone Wars put in
- 14:59there, it kind of makes more sense and like from what I've
- 15:02heard George Lucas was trying to tell a huge story in Revenge of
- 15:06the Sith. It was like he was trying to
- 15:08connect to Giant story lines by putting Revenge of the Sith in
- 15:13there and it was like really he needed the length of the Clone
- 15:17Wars to truly establish, that characters downfall properly.
- 15:23Isn't there like a five-hour, unedited Revenge of the Sith
- 15:26that people are constantly Asking for yeah, give us that or
- 15:33filoni. We politely and humbly request
- 15:36that. You just redo Revenge of the
- 15:37Sith in animated form. Oh, that would be cool.
- 15:41That would be real. I mean, I like holy shit.
- 15:44Don't dislike Revenge of the Sith.
- 15:45I love it either. I think it's a great movie.
- 15:48It's the best of the prequels in my opinion, for sure.
- 15:53And it's very, it just has weak Parts.
- 15:56Like every other movie, every movie.
- 15:57Yeah, exactly. Every move.
- 15:59He's gonna have something like that.
- 16:00I just like the way Padme was treated at the end, just his
- 16:04always made me really angry because she was, we have talked
- 16:10about this before that. There's a lot of like
- 16:12inconsistency with her where she's like saying no, but
- 16:16meaning yes and some. Yeah, exactly, yes, yeah I guess
- 16:20it's not totally out of left field that the writer Is would
- 16:24be writing her in contrast. But I don't think it's true to
- 16:29the character. I mean, granted if it was
- 16:32Palpatine draining her life. Yes.
- 16:33Then I think it makes sense, nothing.
- 16:35She did makes a lot of sense. Nothing.
- 16:37She did would have been able to stop that or change that no
- 16:39matter how powerful she was, or how strong-willed she was,
- 16:44right? And of course, obviously she had
- 16:46to She had to die because of the way, everything was established
- 16:52in the original trilogy. I've always thought that line
- 16:55though. That Leia says, remember when
- 16:58Luke is asking, you know, tell me about your mother.
- 17:00What do you remember? And she says she was very
- 17:03beautiful but sad and she just remembers images and feelings of
- 17:07her. Like I've always wondered what
- 17:10that like why was there that disconnect there between what
- 17:14George Lucas? He was writing the scripts
- 17:16himself like wouldn't have known that.
- 17:17There was like Disconnect there. Well the the way I always took
- 17:22that Leo line was two different ways, one sheet because of her
- 17:27strength in the force Leia's. She could probably feel an
- 17:31imprint of her mother in those final moments.
- 17:33Maybe and yes Padme was sad at the end because something was
- 17:37happening to her, it wasn't working and she knew that there
- 17:40was something wrong with Anakin. And so all of that was probably
- 17:44imprinted and perhaps Leia being more of a I mean, Luke's kind of
- 17:50a feeler, but I feel like Leia, understood people at that, Luke
- 17:54doesn't, but she had that. She was a leader.
- 17:58I mean, she was a leader of people and you have to
- 18:00understand people in order to lead them, so, I feel like it
- 18:03was her first brush at. I almost want to say like an
- 18:07empath. Hmm, you know, empath Tendencies
- 18:10even as a newborn baby, but the other thing is, maybe bail
- 18:14showed her Clips or are to showed her Clips could be.
- 18:18That's a really good point. I mean bail and Bree how loved
- 18:23Padme so I don't think that they would have kept it, you know, as
- 18:26a secret like, this was your real mother, you know.
- 18:29Yeah. That that's exactly what I was
- 18:31going to say, like, because Luke says, do you remember your
- 18:35mother your Mother. So I assume that Leia always
- 18:38knew. She was adopted, right?
- 18:40Yes. Yeah, I think so.
- 18:41Yes. Yeah, yes.
- 18:42And it's actually some of that is revealed in the Bloodlines
- 18:46novel. That Baal was forthcoming with
- 18:51that information. And in fact, the the way that
- 18:55she finds out that she's Vader's daughter, You know, really?
- 18:59I mean, outside of the books, like there's evidence that gets
- 19:03out that bail left her you know that I don't want to spoil it
- 19:05for anyone who hasn't read it, but there's more to it.
- 19:08But interesting, I'll never kept it.
- 19:09A secret internetting Padme was her mother.
- 19:12I heard to, I think it's in a graphic novel that are, maybe
- 19:15it's in this book where she's passing.
- 19:17I think I'm not 100% sure. So I don't want to mislead
- 19:21anybody but it's like Leia is I think on Naboo, but she's seeing
- 19:25like a stained glass window. That has padme's image in it and
- 19:32she has like a moment like a vision there, something like
- 19:35that and I've never read that but I've always been interested.
- 19:38And people were saying that explains like what Leia was
- 19:41saying to Luke, but like, of course, when those movies were
- 19:44written and even when the prequels were written, none of
- 19:46that content existed. So like it's all good.
- 19:50It's all explained now. I guess but like, in the moment,
- 19:53it was kind of like, what are you talking about?
- 19:57Yeah. That's kind of beautiful with
- 20:00the stained glass in the yeah, I want to find that would be
- 20:02night. I want to find that peace and
- 20:04read it because I've always found that interesting.
- 20:08The idea of that interesting. I 100% subscribe to the theory
- 20:12that in order to make sure Anakin lived enough to get him
- 20:18in that suit Palpatine had to drain some one of their life
- 20:22force and Padme was the obvious choice.
- 20:25Yeah, considering she was in the middle of birth.
- 20:28She just had this asphyxiation moment from her husband.
- 20:34It was the perfect plot for him to use that against Anakin, in
- 20:37some way and to successfully remove her because she was a
- 20:42problem. Yeah.
- 20:43If she had lived, she would have been a very huge problem.
- 20:47Oh my God. If you Google what killed Padme
- 20:52Amidala in, giant letters, it comes up as broken heart.
- 20:57I can't. Yeah, I will not mmm.
- 21:01Who decided this? Who made this.
- 21:06Is it seriously? What happens when you Google it?
- 21:08Yeah well we're here to reroute with it's on Wikipedia.
- 21:13That's where it's coming from. Now look I have words Wikipedia
- 21:19we follow you on Twitter and you follow us back and you interact
- 21:22with us because we love each other here.
- 21:24Can you change that please? Do I have to tweet you privately
- 21:30and ask you to change that this is a direct message to Wikipedia
- 21:34and yes I will Tweeting you about this.
- 21:39You are our favorite look. I mean I said it time and time
- 21:42before that is the official explanation.
- 21:45So I'm not accepting it. Nope.
- 21:49Yeah. I mean we know it's possible to
- 21:51pull life force from one being and give it to another.
- 21:55It happens in the Clone Wars when yes in the mortise arc.
- 22:00When a soap? Yes dies and gesture or the
- 22:03daughter sacrifices the rest of the The remainder of her life to
- 22:07bring Ahsoka back to life and she was almost dead.
- 22:11So, and but that was still enough Life Force to like revive
- 22:14Ahsoka. So it is possible, you know,
- 22:16that Pebble this happens in Lord of the Rings to read because,
- 22:20you know, we love Lord of the Rings on this podcast, but Arwen
- 22:24gave her life force. Her her immortality Life Force
- 22:29to Frodo early on, in The Fellowship of the, of the Ring,
- 22:34really And that's really how he was able to go on is because he
- 22:38had the morgul knife fragment in his chest there, and it would
- 22:42have slowly killed him and he was near death.
- 22:45And then she just transferred it over to him to get him, the rest
- 22:48of the way, you know, to keep him alive until they could work
- 22:51on him and fix up those. She died because of that.
- 22:55Well, she became mortal which is what she wanted.
- 22:57Anyway, so she could be with Aragorn so.
- 23:01Oh well, that's that's romantic. It's convenient.
- 23:05As well, but she didn't do it thinking of Aragorn in that
- 23:09moment. She did it out of desperation
- 23:11for the ring bearer. So she knew there was something
- 23:16special about this Hobbit. She's not necessarily that he
- 23:20was carrying the one ring at least in that moment maybe she
- 23:23had an idea. I can't recall.
- 23:24I've only read it like 15 times but whatever.
- 23:27Well I know for sure that we have quite a few Lord of the
- 23:30Rings fans who listen to us. Oh yeah, don't worry.
- 23:34We're going to do a lord of the Rings episode.
- 23:36I'm going to have to just be like a polite bystander on that
- 23:40one because it's okay. I'll talk all episodes.
- 23:44Maybe I should make like a list of questions and just ask you a
- 23:48questions about Lord of the Rings, like make Star Wars.
- 23:51Lord of the Rings comparisons and contrasting points and then
- 23:55I'll explain them. That would be great.
- 23:57You'll have to make the list of the comparisons because I don't
- 24:01even know those. Anyway there's your tangent for
- 24:04this. Episode gonna have at least one
- 24:08it was it was it was it was it was connected.
- 24:12It was connected because of our one is essentially, you know.
- 24:16Yeah. So II.
- 24:20I just don't believe she died of a broken heart and I can't wait
- 24:26to hear what our fans think our listeners think.
- 24:28Yes. You know, you're going to that's
- 24:31going to be the question of this week is, do you think she died
- 24:33of a broken heart or do you think that Palpatine had
- 24:35something to do with it or was it just death from childbirth?
- 24:39Because also not totally uncommon know, and I was going
- 24:43to say like, is it just me? Or is that births?
- 24:45A really weird? Well, there's a lot of dudes
- 24:50just standing around in there watching her.
- 24:52Yeah, I have children. And I mean, she's laying down,
- 24:56flat, which, first of all, is the, if not impossible, most
- 25:00typical way to give birth. Like, right back in the olden,
- 25:04times, women give birth standing up because gravity because you
- 25:07got a squat, you got squat, it helps you give birth of your if
- 25:11you're standing because the gravity and then I can't
- 25:15remember which king. Louis the 13th 14th 17th.
- 25:20I can't remember wanted to watch his wife give birth so he made
- 25:24her lie down and that's why women give birth laying down.
- 25:27Now from what I've heard, I'm not an interest, not a full
- 25:30historian on this so I'm not 100% sure have sent his
- 25:34restaurant so that is interesting.
- 25:36Padma he's like laying down almost tilted backwards which is
- 25:40just doesn't work. Also that robot was like the
- 25:45scoop arm like yeah, that's it. It I didn't I wasn't gonna bring
- 25:48that up because it's gross. I don't like it.
- 25:51But the table itself is kind of weird because instead of a sheet
- 25:55they had like that cone. Yeah.
- 25:57Like that tube thing that was over her.
- 25:59I mean I get it. You have to make it look space.
- 26:01AG. Also like there's no blood.
- 26:03Come on now. Yeah, they that would they, they
- 26:06came out real clear. Yeah, there'll be all kinds of
- 26:09fluids all over the place on that stupid table.
- 26:12Robots are no robots. It's true and it was a very
- 26:15white clean. There's a lot of starch white
- 26:20pure that, that would have. Yeah, very, I just well, they
- 26:25also did that in comparison, because it had to be white
- 26:28versus the dark black of the table that a Nikita's on.
- 26:32Well, you know, I get it. If you put the two images
- 26:36together, it's very clear, the Light Side, the dark side
- 26:40excetera, but true, but very, and I really actually, yeah, I
- 26:44really actually do appreciate the fact that if you're looking
- 26:47at Anakin top down the table. He's on is becomes the Empire
- 26:52symbol like, that's true. Yeah, which is, is kind of
- 26:54similar to the Republic's symbol, right?
- 26:57It's just kind of the inverse of it a little bit, but Loved it,
- 27:01loved it. The symbolism is separate that
- 27:04it's really amazing and like to have the birth and death and
- 27:09rebirth like all there together. At the same time is amazing.
- 27:13Just not a realistic birth just yeah.
- 27:18Yeah it's always bothered me and like the babies come out all
- 27:21like nice and wrapped in a little blanket.
- 27:23They don't have like the like, whatever it is.
- 27:26It's like the real babies born. They're covered in like a
- 27:29grease. Yes, you know, and their bluish
- 27:33because they haven't been breathing oxygen yet.
- 27:35Yes, at least atmospheric oxygen.
- 27:38So, yeah. And they were huge.
- 27:41They were very big, yes, but we can excuse that for movie Tree.
- 27:44You can't have a newborn on a movie set.
- 27:46No, no. But she came up with the names
- 27:50real fast. Do we ever get to know why she
- 27:52named either of them? Luke or layouts a good.
- 27:54We know this person. I don't know.
- 27:56I don't know. I've never researched that and
- 27:58like she must have maybe They were just names, she had picked
- 28:02out whether she had a boy or a girl.
- 28:03And then she ended up having both true, because that would
- 28:07make the most sense, I would feel like Padme probably would
- 28:10have known she was carrying twins, don't you feel like
- 28:13somebody along the way? What a told her that was going
- 28:15on? I feel like Anakin would have
- 28:17been the one to know. Well, that's a good point.
- 28:20It don't, they talk about that in the Revenge of the Sith
- 28:22novel. So it's been a while.
- 28:25Maybe I'm making that up. Hmm.
- 28:29No, I think there's something that we're he sends to he sensed
- 28:31it, because he can sense like the life inside her eye.
- 28:34Yes, yes, yes. That's hmm.
- 28:37I need to reread that book. It's great.
- 28:39Yeah, me too, because it is excellent.
- 28:41Matthew Stover. Does a bang-up fucking job on
- 28:43writing? That shit.
- 28:44It's one of the beautiful stuff in there.
- 28:46It's one of the best Star Wars books out there.
- 28:48It is beautiful written. Yeah, it's just been a really
- 28:52long time since I read it. I read it to during a really
- 28:56terrible time in my life. So I'm like, kind of a To reread
- 28:59it because I only associated with that, but I need to, like,
- 29:03find a happy way of bringing it back into my life instead,
- 29:07because it was excellent. It really was it's, it was very
- 29:11well done. So final consensus.
- 29:14Myspace. Twin did Padme died of a broken.
- 29:17Heart Buck. No, fuck, no there.
- 29:21We don't believe it. We believe she was drained of
- 29:24her life, her life, force her, life energy, She in order to
- 29:29keep an account alive, it was the perfect setup so Palpatine
- 29:32could get rid of someone who is a problem.
- 29:35Yes. And increase the life force of
- 29:41the man that he had been working.
- 29:43So diligently, his entire fucking life to make into Vader.
- 29:46Yeah. Yes.
- 29:47Agreed. Well said, sorry, you don't take
- 29:51a strong, smart intelligent, dedicated woman, And have her
- 29:57die of a broken heart. It just doesn't make sense.
- 29:59It's just it not when she has dedication to her two children
- 30:05that she just birthed, she wouldn't give up on them.
- 30:07No way. Yeah, I couldn't have said it
- 30:11better myself. So as usual, we're going to turn
- 30:19the conversation over to you guys.
- 30:23What do you think did Padme? Amidala Queen.
- 30:26The senator Jedi's wife? Yes.
- 30:30Magnanimous lady, she died of a broken heart.
- 30:33What do you think? What do you think, killed Padme?
- 30:35Amidala. We would love to hear it.
- 30:37Scooch over to our social media. Send us an email.
- 30:40However you want to get in touch with us and let us know your
- 30:42thoughts. And next week after such a heavy
- 30:45topic, we're going to a very light and fun and fluffy topic
- 30:51that topic we're dedicating an entire episode to the various
- 30:56Forms of Obi-Wan's hair. Yes, you heard it.
- 30:59We're talking about Obi-Wan's hair.
- 31:01It's going to be glorious. And there's that one moment that
- 31:07it's a mullet but he's just gonna say glorious and terrible.
- 31:12And yeah, but we love it for its terribleness.
- 31:17Its glorious even in its at its worst.
- 31:19Yeah, that's what we're here to talk about next week, so join
- 31:22us. So last week we talked about
- 31:27baby Yoda and Luke and Ahsoka and all the ways that the Jedi
- 31:32kind of tied together in the Mandalorian and we asked our
- 31:35listeners what they thought about all of that.
- 31:37And we got some really fun responses.
- 31:40People agreed that Luke's voice, sounded kinda weird, it didn't
- 31:45sound natural. It definitely sounded commute
- 31:48like computer generated and that was a bit disappointing for
- 31:51people. I totally agree with that
- 31:54sentiment. I also agree.
- 31:55Yes. And then we got a comment about
- 31:58the darksaber which I very passionately found like totally
- 32:04weird in the Mandalorian because it didn't seem to be in keeping
- 32:07with the rules that we had already had established with the
- 32:10darksaber and some folks listening to us agreed saying
- 32:14that they had just watched Rebels and what happened to the
- 32:19Mandalorian didn't match, the rules that have been established
- 32:21in See, that's what I thought, too.
- 32:24Yeah, because you had said that maybe Sabine had given the
- 32:27darksaber Tipo Catan, which this person confirmed is what
- 32:31happened. And then the next thing, you
- 32:34know, I'm off Gideon has the darksaber and then Mando wins it
- 32:41from Mob Gideon, and now, Boca tan.
- 32:44Can't just accept it back from man.
- 32:48Do I don't understand it just doesn't make it right.
- 32:52Yeah. That would that's a gap that
- 32:54needs to be filled at some point.
- 32:55Yeah. And maybe it's an episode, we
- 32:57need to do a little research on and dig into.
- 32:59But, yeah, I definitely found that frustrating as well.
- 33:02Personally, I agree. I agree.
