[SPEAKER_04]: I've been at this tank.
• 2:15
[SPEAKER_06]: Welcome back to Fish Tango Live, presented by Van Horloss and Casabelle Design Group, Seth Levitt Live from the Casabelle Design Group Studios, and I am joined by the toughest live podcast or damn reenordered play with.
• 2:29
  [SPEAKER_06]: He is O.J.
• 2:30
  [SPEAKER_06]: McDuffie.
• 2:32
[SPEAKER_06]: Juice, there's a lot of change going on here in South Florida.
• 2:36
[SPEAKER_06]: We got a lot to talk about tonight.
• 2:37
[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, you know, big savvy, you know, somebody people were afraid of change, man.
• 2:41
[SPEAKER_02]: And I'll talk about that a little bit later.
• 2:43
[SPEAKER_02]: But, you know, sometimes change is good.
• 2:45
[SPEAKER_02]: There's definitely a lot to talk about.
• 2:47
  [SPEAKER_02]: And I am, um,
• 2:49
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I'm pumped for tonight, no matter what, every time we get an opportunity going here and spill our guts and be ourselves, our authentic salesman, it's a lot of fun.
• 2:58
[SPEAKER_02]: And I know we've got the legendary Savacquitas, I know we've got Doug Lee, do we're all, he's gonna, he's with us tonight too, man.
• 3:05
[SPEAKER_02]: And you big Seth, being the man rocking that.
• 3:09
[SPEAKER_02]: That, that, that, that marino's to.
• 3:11
  [SPEAKER_02]: I'm a sweater.
• 3:12
  [SPEAKER_02]: I'm a sweater.
• 3:13
  [SPEAKER_02]: How about that?
• 3:13
[SPEAKER_06]: The sweater you got the sweater going on tonight?
• 3:16
  [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
• 3:17
  [SPEAKER_06]: And it's a Mitchell and Nest.
• 3:18
[SPEAKER_06]: This is not no disrespect to people trying to get those jerseys from overseas that come over on the slow boat 30 days.
• 3:24
[SPEAKER_06]: But this is a Mitchell and Nest authentic straight from marino enterprise and slash rouse string or closet.
• 3:31
[SPEAKER_02]: So you're saying Mitchell and Nest does it in the USA.
• 3:35
[SPEAKER_06]: I am saying that it is an authentic, Mitchell and Ness product.
• 3:40
  [SPEAKER_06]: I mean, and licensed.
• 3:42
  [SPEAKER_06]: I think that's the word I'm looking for.
• 3:44
  [SPEAKER_02]: And it's a winery product.
• 3:45
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I got some shit with sushi's on it.
• 3:47
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know where it came from.
• 3:48
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I got some.
• 3:49
[SPEAKER_06]: They paid for the right to overcharge.
• 3:51
  [SPEAKER_06]: That's, that's what I'm saying.
• 3:53
[SPEAKER_06]: So, because I mean, you just nailed it.
• 3:55
[SPEAKER_06]: So, joined by two of like dolphins nations finest, always the legendary Savak producer to the fish tank.
• 4:04
[SPEAKER_06]: but these are of dolphins you too.
• 4:07
[SPEAKER_06]: The king of dolphins you too, Dougley do wrong.
• 4:11
[SPEAKER_06]: Is this your first time?
• 4:12
[SPEAKER_06]: Like we've been hanging with you before.
• 4:14
[SPEAKER_06]: Is this your first time diving in with us?
• 4:16
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I think this is my first time on here, which is an absolute honor.
• 4:19
  [SPEAKER_07]: So I'm blessed.
• 4:22
[SPEAKER_02]: We have a lot of stuff right there.
• 4:23
[SPEAKER_06]: Say, how do you pull this off, man?
• 4:25
[SPEAKER_06]: Well, it was a shot in the dark.
• 4:29
[SPEAKER_06]: It was like a trade deadline, you know, last to rock, got before four o'clock yesterday.
• 4:34
  [SPEAKER_02]: I got it.
• 4:34
  [SPEAKER_06]: I got it.
• 4:36
[SPEAKER_06]: And I was blowing them up.
• 4:37
  [SPEAKER_06]: I felt badly.
• 4:38
[SPEAKER_06]: But that's, I started thinking about this.
• 4:40
  [SPEAKER_06]: And I'm like,
• 4:42
[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, Jamie Duffy was a first round jaffchoice.
• 4:46
[SPEAKER_06]: He, no, no, I'm just here, hear me out.
• 4:48
  [SPEAKER_06]: First round draft choice.
• 4:50
[SPEAKER_06]: All American led the NFL in receptions.
• 4:55
  [SPEAKER_06]: Two time dolphins MVP.
• 4:57
[SPEAKER_06]: I spent eight years working for the Miami dolphins.
• 5:00
[SPEAKER_06]: I, you know, I've been blessed to work alongside Hall of Famers.
• 5:05
[SPEAKER_06]: But man, there's nothing that's going to move the needle more on your show than Doug we do, right?
• 5:09
[SPEAKER_06]: There is not a meeting a member.
• 5:12
[SPEAKER_06]: There's not a Toronto arm say, he starts a podcast like within three weeks, maybe the last.
• 5:19
[SPEAKER_06]: He's like, I need to get Doug and do it on the day.
• 5:22
[SPEAKER_06]: So if I want to grow this damn thing, right?
• 5:24
[SPEAKER_06]: Lovely as a YouTube flipping machine.
• 5:27
[SPEAKER_06]: And so I am grateful that you would spend some time with us.
• 5:32
[SPEAKER_07]: I appreciate you guys having me on you.
• 5:35
[SPEAKER_07]: I got the Texas morning.
• 5:36
[SPEAKER_07]: I might I don't say no to that Like come on now.
• 5:39
  [SPEAKER_07]: I'll make it work.
• 5:40
[SPEAKER_07]: I gotta get on this show
• 5:42
[SPEAKER_06]: Well, I'm glad that you did.
• 5:44
[SPEAKER_06]: I'm very excited that you did.
• 5:46
[SPEAKER_06]: And there is a lot to talk about.
• 5:47
[SPEAKER_06]: I think it's really cool to get the perspective from the former player.
• 5:53
[SPEAKER_06]: Typically, we have the media member on here.
• 5:54
[SPEAKER_06]: And now you're in this crossover space.
• 5:56
[SPEAKER_06]: You're in this crossover space of fan turn content creator.
• 6:00
[SPEAKER_06]: And you've got the Dolphins Collective.
• 6:01
[SPEAKER_06]: I jumped on the collective last night, Juice.
• 6:03
  [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
• 6:04
  [SPEAKER_06]: You're going on here.
• 6:05
[SPEAKER_06]: This is where, like, looking at people trickling.
• 6:09
[SPEAKER_06]: They had 1150 people watching it one time.
• 6:13
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I don't know, and I might have been even higher than that.
• 6:16
[SPEAKER_06]: But I'm like, I don't even want to look at what the total number is now, total views.
• 6:20
[SPEAKER_06]: But dude, how did you, and I'm, I'm bearing the lead here, but talk to us about how you've been able to just,
• 6:29
[SPEAKER_06]: just take over YouTube in that way.
• 6:32
[SPEAKER_07]: Um, I think a good portion of it for my channel is just the continuity, where it's like, I'm just constantly putting out like minimum 50 minute videos, sometimes eight times a day, depending on what's going on, uh, but with the collective,
• 6:49
[SPEAKER_07]: It's like a combination of a love hate because there's people on there that love, you know, one of us, right, me, TD, Alan, Omar, and there's people on there that hate one of us.
• 7:05
[SPEAKER_07]: And, you know, I got my haters, which, you know, I just sit back and I laugh.
• 7:09
  [SPEAKER_07]: I don't know.
• 7:09
[SPEAKER_07]: He had a dog doesn't know what he's talking about.
• 7:11
[SPEAKER_07]: One guy sent like a whole paragraph in the
• 7:19
[SPEAKER_07]: So I think a lot of it has to do with they want to hear what we have to say, you know, the different perspectives, but also they want to see our reaction to just the misery that's happening right now.
• 7:30
[SPEAKER_07]: So it's like to give a take.
• 7:32
[SPEAKER_07]: So I because there's sometimes we get we we get like 600 and you know, people don't really care, but it's like, oh, trade that line and let's see what they have to talk about.
• 7:40
[SPEAKER_06]: just 600 yeah we only set there was 600 so yeah you guys are killing it doing a great job so congrats to to all of that and uh you just mentioned they want to Chris Greer you so what a great segue he's a pro at this Jews yeah no problem these lies look fellas Chris Greer was with the dolphins when I worked there I know he wasn't a general manager at that time but he was with the dolphins when I worked there that's how long he's been a member of Miami dolphins organization
• 8:10
[SPEAKER_06]: been a general manager for almost a decade.
• 8:13
[SPEAKER_06]: I would say there's no more polarizing member of the media than Omar Kelly.
• 8:18
[SPEAKER_06]: Two of the time, if I low, it's probably the most polarizing sports figure in the history of South Florida sports.
• 8:23
[SPEAKER_06]: But Chris Greer, I don't even know it's been polarizing.
• 8:26
[SPEAKER_06]: That dude has just been in the fire for quite some time now.
• 8:30
[SPEAKER_06]: And he's no longer a general manager at the dolphins.
• 8:33
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, we find that out during the by-week.
• 8:36
[SPEAKER_06]: I guess my first question I'll start with you, Juice, were you surprised by the news?
• 8:42
[SPEAKER_06]: Maybe not necessarily that it happened, but when it happened.
• 8:45
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you know what, I mean, I think everybody was talking about this for weeks, lead up to this, you know what I mean?
• 8:53
[SPEAKER_02]: I think my biggest surprise was that it was not just, that was just Chris by himself.
• 9:01
[SPEAKER_02]: I think that was the biggest surprise that I had when the whole thing came down.
• 9:05
[SPEAKER_02]: I thought if anything, it'd be a package deal because from what we understood, everything about this team was the synergy between Mike and Chris and they collab on the picks and all this other stuff and then, you know, and next you know of this Chris.
• 9:22
[SPEAKER_02]: that, you know, got the axe and Mike did not, and when they didn't do it together, I knew Mike was safe at that point because I wouldn't do it all at once instead of having separate days of like, all right, this guy's going on the next guy, you know, so I figured that Mike was safe at that point.
• 9:38
[SPEAKER_02]: So I thought Mike would be first.
• 9:42
[SPEAKER_02]: I really did because honestly,
• 9:44
[SPEAKER_02]: Chris brings the guys, but Mike's team is the one that's out there on the field that's under-performing in my opinion.
• 9:50
[SPEAKER_02]: And this show we never, we never call for anybody's job, but if anybody's going to get axed, I thought it'd be Mike first.
• 9:57
[SPEAKER_02]: And it looks like Mike is safe, which is cool.
• 10:00
[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see what happens in the last eight games of the season, but man, when Chris, when I saw Chris, I was like, wow.
• 10:06
[SPEAKER_02]: We knew something was going to happen.
• 10:08
[SPEAKER_02]: We'd already heard through the great vines.
• 10:10
[SPEAKER_02]: So there was some rummings going on in the owner's suite.
• 10:12
[SPEAKER_02]: That night after the red game.
• 10:15
[SPEAKER_02]: And that something was going to go down.
• 10:17
[SPEAKER_02]: And sure as hell, something did go down.
• 10:20
[SPEAKER_02]: And it was Chris Greer as the GM for the team.
• 10:22
[SPEAKER_02]: After you said, been here for a couple of decades plus.
• 10:25
[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, by 10 years as the GM, and things just didn't work out.
• 10:30
[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, I was shocked the who went down.
• 10:36
[SPEAKER_02]: Hell, we're known, and Doug, you notice, the dolphins are known for being in the news in some negative way, some negative fashion, and we did not disappoint that Friday.
• 10:49
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, yeah, I think I'm right there with you on all of it.
• 10:53
[SPEAKER_06]: I have some thoughts, but I love to hear Doug's thoughts.
• 10:55
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, where were you on all of this?
• 10:59
[SPEAKER_07]: Um, see, I don't want to hate on the guy.
• 11:02
[SPEAKER_07]: And, you know, I'm not one for celebrating someone losing their job.
• 11:06
[SPEAKER_07]: Uh, I thought he should have wasn't for us if I'm being honest with you.
• 11:08
[SPEAKER_07]: I think he was, uh, you know, he had two regimes.
• 11:12
[SPEAKER_07]: Um, and then he got a third regime that he got to man and sitting here in 2025.
• 11:18
[SPEAKER_07]: We are no different really than we were in 2019.
• 11:21
[SPEAKER_07]: And we had a worse roster in 2019.
• 11:24
[SPEAKER_07]: So, you know, I knew at some point Greer was going to go.
• 11:28
[SPEAKER_07]: I just didn't think it was going to be at that point.
• 11:30
[SPEAKER_07]: I like, like, you know, OJ said, I thought it was going to be a mechanical first.
• 11:36
[SPEAKER_07]: But it seems like they're trying to
• 11:39
[SPEAKER_07]: You know, there's the tinfoil hats out there thinking that's the organic tank and, you know, they're, they're keeping McDaniel, um, but it seems like, you know, it's a Ross money situation, like he just paid demand.
• 11:52
[SPEAKER_07]: So if, if I paid you millions of dollars, I don't want you to take that millions of dollars and go sit at home at least finish what you started and then we'll make our decision at the end of the year.
• 12:03
  [SPEAKER_07]: Um, but yeah,
• 12:05
[SPEAKER_07]: The group being gone was something that needed to happen.
• 12:09
[SPEAKER_07]: I just really hope and will probably get into this.
• 12:11
[SPEAKER_07]: I hope they don't handcuff themselves by the new GM having to work with certain people like the handcuff to make Daniel, like I really hope that they open it up.
• 12:23
[SPEAKER_07]: They'll just let whoever comes in get the best candidate and have him have control.
• 12:28
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, that is interesting, and I, you know, juice mentioned the term package deal and just hearing what you're saying as well, Doug, like, I think that that was from the media's perspective and certainly fans perspective, we kind of lump the big three together, right, right?
• 12:42
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, and, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the guy who's right in the checks is making the decisions is lumping them all together.
• 12:49
[SPEAKER_06]: And I do find it curious just like O.J.
• 12:54
  [SPEAKER_06]: said,
• 12:58
[SPEAKER_06]: There's going to be no impact on the field against Buffalo with Chris Greer not sitting in a sweet somewhere at the game.
• 13:06
[SPEAKER_06]: It was not when we watched that Baltimore game and that was kind of the last straw.
• 13:11
[SPEAKER_06]: Chris Greer didn't he never jumped off sides.
• 13:16
  [SPEAKER_06]: He never had a pre-snap penalty.
• 13:18
[SPEAKER_06]: He wasn't responsible for guys not knowing where to line up.
• 13:23
[SPEAKER_06]: And so I don't understand now, you know, I do want to ask, I have a question I want to ask you guys, but I do, here's Johnny, I love it.
• 13:32
  [SPEAKER_06]: That I bar now.
• 13:34
[SPEAKER_06]: Ooh, shout out to Dudley.
• 13:36
  [SPEAKER_06]: I love it.
• 13:36
[SPEAKER_06]: I love when there's love and not hate.
• 13:38
  [SPEAKER_06]: Love love, yeah.
• 13:39
[SPEAKER_06]: And, you know, this whole dolphins podcast land.
• 13:41
  [SPEAKER_06]: But, so I, I am,
• 13:44
[SPEAKER_06]: I've said this all along.
• 13:45
[SPEAKER_06]: I've defended Chris Greer to a fault and took a lot of heat for it.
• 13:50
[SPEAKER_06]: I was that adamant and I still stand by it that I did not think that they needed to fire anybody at the end of last season.
• 13:56
[SPEAKER_06]: I felt that the first two seasons of those guys working together earned them a right to see if last season.
• 14:04
[SPEAKER_06]: was an anomaly, or if things were hadn't in the shitter.
• 14:07
[SPEAKER_06]: I didn't think they were going to head as far in the shitter and as fast in the shitter as they did, but I think they earned that right, having said that.
• 14:16
[SPEAKER_06]: I just like you, O.J., I was surprised that if they were going to only do one, that they made that decision when they met it.
• 14:22
[SPEAKER_06]: Now we heard, I think it was the in-rap report reported that one of the, sorry fuck off the, well, I don't even know what that is.
• 14:31
[SPEAKER_06]: I think one of the things that we heard was Chris Greer was asked what his plans were for the trade deadline and he basically said he was waiting for phone calls and there
• 14:46
[SPEAKER_06]: That's hard for me to fathom.
• 14:47
  [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
• 14:48
  [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, come on.
• 14:49
[SPEAKER_06]: That's hard for me to fathom, but I have now heard that not only from that report, but there's some been some people locally that were told the same thing.
• 14:57
[SPEAKER_06]: So I don't know who's telling that story, but Chris can say whatever you want.
• 15:02
[SPEAKER_02]: There it is, big Seth.
• 15:04
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I'm not going to go tell what I want.
• 15:06
[SPEAKER_02]: I ain't got to entertain these motherfuckers, you know what I mean man?
• 15:09
[SPEAKER_02]: I could say whatever I want to say in that time, yeah, you know, and hopefully it kind of throws them all, have some, you know, give them something to talk about.
• 15:18
  [SPEAKER_02]: I doubt that.
• 15:19
[SPEAKER_02]: I know, I mean, I know Chris being in the job as long as he is always active in whatever can happen for the football team there.
• 15:26
[SPEAKER_02]: So there's no way he's just sitting around.
• 15:28
[SPEAKER_02]: Nobody that's been around that long, he's just sitting around in the relationship that he has throughout the league.
• 15:34
[SPEAKER_02]: have to be that good where you can reach out to anybody in these conversations flow.
• 15:38
[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
• 15:39
  [SPEAKER_02]: They have to flow.
• 15:40
[SPEAKER_02]: I can't imagine that, you know, Chris shows up, you know, goes into his office.
• 15:45
[SPEAKER_02]: Like Marie, you know, does.
• 15:46
[SPEAKER_02]: Renault has an office at the practice facility.
• 15:49
[SPEAKER_02]: He goes in there and he chills and whenever they call him to come, you know, he goes in to watch film and stuff.
• 15:55
[SPEAKER_02]: That doesn't sound like what Chris does in that facility.
• 15:57
  [SPEAKER_02]: I sure don't hope it wasn't what he's doing.
• 16:01
  [SPEAKER_02]: No, no, no, no.
• 16:03
[SPEAKER_06]: What is Danny doing he's sitting his office like what if he got an office though?
• 16:07
[SPEAKER_02]: I love it He just put you got off from the windows in case he needs to take a nap But you know, that's just I'm just I'm just giving him hard time.
• 16:16
[SPEAKER_02]: But you know how you're just kind of matching that I think he's just I guess but I think that's time talking to you man, because you know what I mean?
• 16:23
[SPEAKER_06]: Well, but it's interesting that he and and rapper poured out a lot of stuff that he put out there and I saw I do find an interesting I pushed back also there was the part of his report was that Multiple GM's told he and rapper that Greer never wanted to trade his guys
• 16:40
[SPEAKER_06]: And I was like, wait a minute, you know, when I had a tweet about that, I was like, look at all the people that he traded and, you know, Kyle KFC indicated he felt that that was something that we're saying about this year and I think we'll talk about the trade deadline too.
• 16:54
[SPEAKER_06]: I don't think that there was a need for a fire sale, but in any event, you can't go that long in that position, not have success winning playoff games.
• 17:03
[SPEAKER_06]: I think that is damning.
• 17:05
[SPEAKER_06]: But I want to ask all three of you guys, I would like to know,
• 17:10
[SPEAKER_06]: what is if you had a point of one thing and clearly there were a multitude of things that when you make a decision that that is that is that final but if you had a point to the the biggest reason why Chris Greer no longer has his job as a dolphins GM well let's start with Savak what would you think that that was
• 17:28
[SPEAKER_01]: I think you already touched on it.
• 17:29
[SPEAKER_01]: It's the length of his tenure coupled with the lack of success.
• 17:35
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I think we mentioned it.
• 17:37
[SPEAKER_01]: I might have been during a, I tried to tell you, I brought it up that the only other GMs that had a tenure in the same ballpark as him, they all have super bowls on their resume.
• 17:47
[SPEAKER_01]: So I think ultimately that was what it was.
• 17:51
[SPEAKER_02]: interesting what about you juice yeah you know I mean it's all it's a resource already in the business man he puts the product out there we've actually gambled on so many players on the Chris Greer's watch that did not pan out older players they know getting hurt you know
• 18:06
  [SPEAKER_02]: You've really got a scalp player.
• 18:08
[SPEAKER_02]: If you're bringing in players down here, especially in free agency, you've really got a scalp from dudes out that can handle South Florida, handle South Beach, handle the environment down here, because honestly, it's not for everybody.
• 18:21
  [SPEAKER_02]: It really isn't, man.
• 18:22
[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, you've got guys that come down here to get paid and we've seen it, seem like they kind of relax, kind of chill out.
• 18:29
[SPEAKER_02]: You really need to go get guys and I hate to say this guys that you know married with five or six kids that you know I mean that got to go home right out the work, you know, you can't go to some They can't go to Florida.
• 18:43
[SPEAKER_06]: I know how often were you going home after work
• 19:02
[SPEAKER_01]: of the different breed, you know?
• 19:04
[SPEAKER_01]: What is what is what he did when he showed up though?
• 19:07
  [SPEAKER_06]: That's the point.
• 19:08
[SPEAKER_06]: That's what you got five kids and no kids or 12 all being born this year.
• 19:14
[SPEAKER_06]: It's like, are you a dog and not that kind of dog?
• 19:17
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I think, and, you know, and some of these dudes, I mean, they appear to be dogs and other teams before they come here.
• 19:24
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, what happened to him, man?
• 19:26
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm gonna tell you what happened to him.
• 19:27
[SPEAKER_02]: It's up for Lord of South as you up, man.
• 19:29
  [SPEAKER_02]: Look, I can't, I'm so sorry, man, bro.
• 19:32
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to Ohio for Thanksgiving.
• 19:33
[SPEAKER_02]: I guarantee I will not be out of the house for more than four in a half.
• 19:39
[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean, that is self-portive, that is fine, it's bro.
• 19:43
[SPEAKER_06]: So you're saying that he just wasn't identifying the right guys for what it takes to be a winner in self flow.
• 19:50
  [SPEAKER_02]: It's hard, it's hard, big set.
• 19:52
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, really, honestly, when you give guys a, you know, a boatload of money, there's a lot of things to do here.
• 19:57
[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of things that can occupy your time.
• 20:00
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, it's not like we're in Buffalo or we're in, you know, Green Bay or someplace like that where
• 20:05
[SPEAKER_02]: pretty much balls all you got there, you know, I know a lot of guys that play for Buffalo Dipped up the Toronto a lot to kick it, but you know they were back home and you know back dealing with the elements and everything that they were dealing with there man, but so I floor it as a different animal man.
• 20:18
[SPEAKER_02]: It's the same way for young guys to you draft, you got to be careful with that situation, you know, older guys, you get free agency, you got to be careful with that situation.
• 20:26
[SPEAKER_02]: But I think, you know, that's also an environment man.
• 20:31
  [SPEAKER_02]: Look, we know
• 20:35
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, Jimmy Johnson's locker room was tense, you know.
• 20:39
[SPEAKER_02]: You got to honestly, at some point you, these old school coaching works in certain environments.
• 20:44
[SPEAKER_02]: It didn't work for Flores, but they were dating one-to-hand.
• 20:47
[SPEAKER_02]: They, this new school, these new school kids they wanna do with that stuff.
• 20:50
[SPEAKER_02]: This is a really a club med situation over there.
• 20:52
[SPEAKER_02]: And I went down the damn slide when it first opened up in the facility.
• 20:56
[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
• 20:57
[SPEAKER_02]: And they got a slide, and all this other stuff going on, man, like, oh, this is,
• 21:00
[SPEAKER_02]: I can do this for 20 years, you know, I could just continue to this thing up and here for 17 more years up and here, you know, so it's like, I mean, it's got to be a tougher football environment because football, the tough basketball.
• 21:14
[SPEAKER_02]: I always said football is a glorified prison, you know what I mean?
• 21:19
[SPEAKER_02]: Because it's an alpha male everywhere doing all this.
• 21:22
[SPEAKER_02]: These guys are cool by yachting cool, man.
• 21:24
[SPEAKER_02]: It's just all relaxing, man.
• 21:25
  [SPEAKER_02]: It's ridiculous.
• 21:26
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, well, to me, that tone is set by the head coach.
• 21:29
  [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it's part of it.
• 21:31
[SPEAKER_02]: The general guy is coming as dogs and they don't know shit.
• 21:35
[SPEAKER_02]: I can do this right here all day.
• 21:37
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, yeah, I hear you.
• 21:39
[SPEAKER_06]: So Doug, what about you?
• 21:40
[SPEAKER_06]: If you had a point to one thing that is the main reason why Chris Greer is no longer in general managers, might be dolphins, what you'd say it is.
• 21:47
  [SPEAKER_07]: it's drafting.
• 21:48
[SPEAKER_07]: He was not good at drafting.
• 21:50
[SPEAKER_07]: He made some good picks, but when you take the whole entire, you know, what?
• 21:57
  [SPEAKER_07]: nine years ago.
• 21:59
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, he was just more misses than hits.
• 22:03
[SPEAKER_07]: And to me, you know, if you want to be successful, you have to have that healthy rotation where you're in where you don't need to hit on free agents because you have the young up in commerce at that rotation.
• 22:14
[SPEAKER_07]: And he missed on a lot, trading up freely in Mike and Berg when Cree and Humphrey was there.
• 22:18
[SPEAKER_07]: You could have stayed pat, Tanner Connor, you take, not Tanner Connor.
• 22:23
  [SPEAKER_07]: the Boston Titan.
• 22:24
[SPEAKER_07]: You took him instead of a lot.
• 22:25
  [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, another offensive lineman.
• 22:28
[SPEAKER_07]: He missed on a lot.
• 22:30
  [SPEAKER_07]: A lot of picks.
• 22:31
[SPEAKER_07]: And I think that really hurt.
• 22:33
[SPEAKER_07]: And it's like the fact that a lot of fans were like, ooh, Quinn miners just still there.
• 22:37
[SPEAKER_07]: And he wouldn't take him or, ooh, so and so still there.
• 22:40
[SPEAKER_07]: And he like he'll take
• 22:42
[SPEAKER_07]: a guy who's projected to be a third rounder in the second, whereas you still have a potential first rounder in the second.
• 22:48
  [SPEAKER_07]: He'll just reach.
• 22:49
[SPEAKER_07]: No, I, and then the thing you'll get is we had him higher on our board.
• 22:54
[SPEAKER_07]: And it's like, obviously you don't, your board's not good.
• 22:56
[SPEAKER_07]: It hasn't been good for for a hot minute.
• 22:59
[SPEAKER_07]: And I, to me, that's the problem.
• 23:01
[SPEAKER_07]: But he did hit on some, you know, Xavier Howard and, you know, all those guys.
• 23:05
[SPEAKER_07]: But it's like, he, he, there's more misses than there were hits.
• 23:09
[SPEAKER_02]: You know Doug and big Seth I know you say this a lot of time.
• 23:12
[SPEAKER_02]: Seth and I might I want you to finish this up for me, but we did hit on some draft picks, but we did keep it.
• 23:18
  [SPEAKER_07]: Mm-hmm.
• 23:19
  [SPEAKER_02]: Right.
• 23:20
  [SPEAKER_02]: Right.
• 23:20
  [SPEAKER_06]: Right.
• 23:21
[SPEAKER_06]: That is absolutely a fair point.
• 23:25
[SPEAKER_06]: It's interesting in and somebody just said what I was going to say.
• 23:28
[SPEAKER_06]: So a couple interesting things here in the chat David Fernandez, we don't have an identity.
• 23:34
[SPEAKER_06]: I think that that is fair.
• 23:35
[SPEAKER_06]: A lot of people are saying that and that is something that I think the general manager in the head coach Need to come up with together and so the team not having an identity or maybe having a wrong identity is an issue So Steve, Steve Burkett has You know said his loyalty to a below average scouting staff
• 23:51
[SPEAKER_06]: Um, I don't, you know, I know some of those guys is probably a little too close to home, but again, I think that when you start to talk about some of the things you guys want to get out to, whether it's a type of player or the ability of the player, eventually that falls on more than just the general manager, it's a reflection upon his staff.
• 24:10
[SPEAKER_06]: Just in the same way that if a head coach brings in a lousy group of position coaches,
• 24:16
[SPEAKER_06]: That's also on the head coach who chose those guys and hired those guys and a lot of those guys stick around.
• 24:22
[SPEAKER_06]: But True Blaser said what I would say that the biggest reason he is not the general manager of this team right now is what happened in the 2020 draft.
• 24:35
[SPEAKER_06]: That was the draft that the team made a decision to tank.
• 24:41
[SPEAKER_06]: They stocked up on draft picks, they had three in the first round.
• 24:45
[SPEAKER_06]: They had the excitement that everyone's getting with that the jets have right now.
• 24:50
[SPEAKER_06]: And they had an opportunity, there were five quarterbacks there that were all considered potential franchise quarterbacks.
• 25:01
[SPEAKER_06]: the guy that we have unfortunately right now if you had to rank the five would be fifth yeah and I don't think anybody you know on anybody's charts and that anybody would put to above the other four guys choose you know I wanted them to use that 30 of pick on the second quarterback yeah
• 25:17
[SPEAKER_06]: I, you know, to me, to our Herbert, I can't say I told you this or told you that I knew the were issues about Herbert or concerns, I knew the were issues of concerns about Tua.
• 25:26
[SPEAKER_06]: I said, let them decide.
• 25:27
  [SPEAKER_06]: That's what they're experts on.
• 25:29
[SPEAKER_06]: Let those guys who are getting paid millions of dollars make the decision figure out which one of those two guys they like best, but draft somebody with that 30th pick.
• 25:37
  [SPEAKER_06]: I really like hurts.
• 25:39
[SPEAKER_06]: I really like to I just felt the guy was a winner I learned about love probably during the draft process.
• 25:45
[SPEAKER_06]: I didn't I didn't know a whole lot about him But I was like draft one of those other two guys with that 30 of thick and do the old Dallas Cowboys Troy Acremoner Steve Allsh thing And figure out which guys are real dude and which guy you can trade for a you know a shit ton And I'm not saying that
• 26:03
[SPEAKER_06]: Anybody sitting here saying, oh, easy to say now, Seth, Jews can vouch.
• 26:07
[SPEAKER_06]: He disagreed with me, but I absolutely said that ultimately, my point here is that draft from top to bottom, the only two players left are the two players that Brian Flores apparently rode the hardest in Tua and Austin Jackson.
• 26:21
[SPEAKER_06]: They're the only two players left from that draft.
• 26:23
[SPEAKER_06]: One guy is a health risk because of concussions and other injuries and he came in as a health risk and he's, you know,
• 26:34
[SPEAKER_06]: and he's got limitations right he's not a great athlete he's got a below average arm he's got some things he does at a very special but you're having the same questions that you had in Ryan Tano who to Ryan Tano Hill was here or some other quarterbacks like wait now we're six years into this thing do we not have the right guys great
• 26:51
[SPEAKER_06]: And then the other guy can't stay on a field anymore.
• 26:53
  [SPEAKER_06]: He's only 26, 27 years old.
• 26:55
[SPEAKER_06]: Austin Jackson cannot stay on the damn field.
• 26:58
[SPEAKER_06]: And there's nobody else from that draft and to me, if you had drafted anyone of those other quarterbacks, forget what you did with the rest of those pigs.
• 27:05
[SPEAKER_06]: If you had anyone of those other quarterbacks, this team would not be where they are right now.
• 27:09
  [SPEAKER_06]: That's my thought.
• 27:10
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
• 27:10
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, we can always say that.
• 27:11
[SPEAKER_02]: We're also kind of playing the results.
• 27:13
[SPEAKER_02]: I get that part and then tell you this, who has had some fabulous years for this football team to rest at a team that hasn't been as good along the way, too.
• 27:22
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, bottom line is this, you know, you get guys in certain situations that have to go out there before.
• 27:27
[SPEAKER_02]: and they have to perform in the right time.
• 27:29
[SPEAKER_02]: My, what's the right time to access for a quarter and December?
• 27:33
  [SPEAKER_02]: Not the time.
• 27:34
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, right, not cutting time.
• 27:36
[SPEAKER_02]: What are you doing in nut cutting time?
• 27:37
[SPEAKER_02]: And we're not getting those kinds of results when it comes in opposition.
• 27:41
[SPEAKER_02]: And that's all that matters in that position.
• 27:43
[SPEAKER_02]: That's all that matters in that position, man.
• 27:46
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't care what you're doing in the first quarter.
• 27:47
  [SPEAKER_02]: I don't care what you're doing.
• 27:48
  [SPEAKER_02]: August preseason.
• 27:49
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't care what you're doing, September most of the time.
• 27:52
[SPEAKER_02]: Unless your team's over five in that month.
• 27:54
[SPEAKER_02]: But bottom line is this.
• 27:55
  [SPEAKER_02]: What are you doing?
• 27:56
[SPEAKER_02]: when we need you the most, and that's football right here, man.
• 28:01
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, that's football right here, you know, and, you know, and it's not all him, like we've asked games this year where two was done enough for us to win the defense, hasn't that?
• 28:08
  [SPEAKER_02]: Get that, right?
• 28:09
[SPEAKER_02]: That's part of the game as well.
• 28:11
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, he's giving us a game winning drive, quarter of quote, and then the defense couldn't hold it.
• 28:15
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, it's hand the ego game.
• 28:17
[SPEAKER_02]: All we got to do is make a stop.
• 28:18
[SPEAKER_02]: We went, you know, different games like that.
• 28:20
  [SPEAKER_02]: So I get it.
• 28:21
  [SPEAKER_02]: But,
• 28:22
[SPEAKER_02]: When you make that type of money, 50 plus a year that's just going to fall on you, man.
• 28:27
  [SPEAKER_02]: It has.
• 28:28
  [SPEAKER_02]: It's the bottom line.
• 28:30
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, and then you know, you take up all the money.
• 28:32
  [SPEAKER_02]: You know, Tom Brady.
• 28:33
  [SPEAKER_02]: You know, Tom Brady.
• 28:35
[SPEAKER_02]: He took less than half a better squad.
• 28:37
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I would not take less if I was to it because this first deal.
• 28:41
[SPEAKER_02]: You can't just next your first next deal, you know, I mean, then after that, you can, you can be, you know, team friendly, not, not to be getting, but at the same time, no man, I just don't, we don't, they don't.
• 28:54
[SPEAKER_02]: I can't even tell the players do have the confidence that we need him to go down and make a play and make a drive, extend the play.
• 29:00
[SPEAKER_02]: It's not going to happen for us, man.
• 29:02
[SPEAKER_02]: And we see more and more now, it's worse now than it's ever been with him.
• 29:06
[SPEAKER_02]: When we see what happened in the Ravens game, you know, things like that, the Tesla grounding might be the most egregious shit I've ever seen from a quarterback.
• 29:14
[SPEAKER_02]: Ooh, with zero going on around him, man.
• 29:17
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I mean, what is going on here, bro?
• 29:19
[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
• 29:21
[SPEAKER_02]: That right there was like, it's at a point right now, big south and Doug and it's evoked that.
• 29:28
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if he is, you know, it's, it's, it's confident himself back there.
• 29:32
[SPEAKER_02]: I heard his press conference every day, you know, he said he's got the confidence still, but I, I, I just don't see it, man.
• 29:38
[SPEAKER_02]: I just don't see it any, bro.
• 29:40
  [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, yeah, it's a fair question.
• 29:42
[SPEAKER_06]: So one guy that we haven't talked about here and, you know, we're 30 minutes in the show and Doug, I know you've got limited time with us tonight, but we're 30 minutes in the show.
• 29:51
[SPEAKER_06]: What about the head coach?
• 29:52
[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, I guess we talked about it a little bit earlier.
• 29:54
  [SPEAKER_06]: We were surprised.
• 29:55
[SPEAKER_06]: So what happens, you know, we've spent it all this time of Chris Greer, Chris is gone.
• 30:00
[SPEAKER_06]: Everybody have their little party, which was the silliest thing I've ever seen.
• 30:03
[SPEAKER_06]: But you had your little party, the fire crews career shirts, you got to find some new merch now to buy in the way.
• 30:08
[SPEAKER_06]: Man, it's got to go.
• 30:09
[SPEAKER_05]: You got to cut the banner in there.
• 30:11
  [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
• 30:13
  [SPEAKER_06]: So, so, Greer's gone.
• 30:16
[SPEAKER_06]: Here comes Buffalo, or here we go to Buffalo.
• 30:19
[SPEAKER_06]: Steve says, dolphins will win, because it's the most often thing they could do is now to win.
• 30:24
[SPEAKER_06]: But, but Mike make Daniel.
• 30:27
[SPEAKER_06]: It's still the head coach.
• 30:28
[SPEAKER_06]: There's the rumors that he may remain the head coach even beyond the end of this year.
• 30:33
[SPEAKER_06]: Where do you stand with that?
• 30:36
[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, I know we touched upon it a little bit.
• 30:38
[SPEAKER_06]: I see you shaking your head, Doug.
• 30:40
[SPEAKER_07]: what do you think needs to happen here and when um and that's the thing right that that was what was reported the end of the year um and then Barry Jackson said things are still being evaluated which I was like that seems to me to be more of a of an understanding of Mike McDaniel I don't think it's a guarantee he's here to the end of the year like if I had to put money on it
• 31:01
[SPEAKER_07]: or if I had to come back and you know, do what I said, I don't think he coaches the Steelers game.
• 31:09
[SPEAKER_07]: I think he gets fired before the last four games, and I see a change there.
• 31:15
[SPEAKER_07]: My biggest knock with McDaniel, right, is 2022.
• 31:19
[SPEAKER_07]: He comes in, we do really well.
• 31:21
[SPEAKER_07]: We make the playoffs, everyone's like, okay, we have something here.
• 31:24
[SPEAKER_07]: 2023, we take off like a rocket, drop 70 on Denver, like we were just off and going.
• 31:32
[SPEAKER_07]: And then 2024, two and six and hours in here, two and seven.
• 31:36
[SPEAKER_07]: My thing is you look at the 2022 Miami Dolphins, and you look at the 2025 Miami Dolphins, there's no difference in play calling, and the play is getting in late, and using timeouts, losing challenges, penalties, all of these things that your head coaches in charge of,
• 31:55
[SPEAKER_07]: Nothing has changed over four to five years, and that's the problem.
• 32:01
[SPEAKER_07]: So like I, for the longest time, I think it was after the bill's game.
• 32:06
[SPEAKER_07]: I was like, Mike's got to go.
• 32:07
  [SPEAKER_07]: Like this is it.
• 32:08
[SPEAKER_07]: I don't give a copy of your game of contract extension.
• 32:10
[SPEAKER_07]: They did Tony Sprown or wrong.
• 32:11
[SPEAKER_07]: They give him a contract extension fired him later that year.
• 32:14
[SPEAKER_07]: Like it doesn't matter, you know.
• 32:16
[SPEAKER_07]: But then I kind of sat back and thought to myself, you should like Greer go and then let the new GM kind of look at Mike.
• 32:21
[SPEAKER_07]: and let him decide, but there's no, there's no difference.
• 32:25
  [SPEAKER_07]: He didn't grow.
• 32:26
[SPEAKER_07]: It's the same Mike McDaniel.
• 32:28
[SPEAKER_07]: It's the same press conferences.
• 32:29
[SPEAKER_07]: Like you just had a press conference today, where they asked him about playing Buffalo and he was like, yeah, Buffalo, they score more points than us and they win.
• 32:37
[SPEAKER_07]: And I'm like, that has to be the dumbest thing that you can say, are you kidding me right now?
• 32:42
[SPEAKER_07]: Like he, he's where the one like to win the game, you have to win it and not lose it.
• 32:46
[SPEAKER_07]: like shut up like I'm at the point with Mike McDonald that I'm just like shut up, man, just just if you got nothing to say, don't say anything.
• 32:54
  [SPEAKER_08]: I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't look at that taste though, we are alright with his press conferences before.
• 32:58
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, first yeah, first he's like, oh, he's quoted me.
• 33:01
[SPEAKER_08]: He's a funny and now we're like, get that a lot of the goddamn polio.
• 33:07
[SPEAKER_06]: Winning fixes everything exactly as I had coach in the quarterback combo.
• 33:13
[SPEAKER_06]: They have had a rough year at the podium.
• 33:16
  [SPEAKER_06]: That is for sure.
• 33:17
  [SPEAKER_06]: And I don't listen.
• 33:18
[SPEAKER_06]: It is not and juice you would know better than any of us here.
• 33:21
[SPEAKER_06]: But it is not cannot be easy to have to stand up there and answer those questions.
• 33:27
[SPEAKER_06]: I tweeted a we saw Bill Brian loses frigging mind.
• 33:30
  [SPEAKER_06]: What he asked him?
• 33:30
[SPEAKER_06]: What he has to say to the fans with the 07 star.
• 33:34
[SPEAKER_06]: And he just lost his darn mind.
• 33:36
[SPEAKER_06]: So I think that, you know, McDaniel is always, he tries to give thoughtful answers, sometimes maybe a little too hard, he is respectful, he's never really shitty with anybody in the room.
• 33:49
[SPEAKER_06]: And it's kind of a, I almost wish there was, you know, perk or somebody here right now because I'm not trying to take shots, but it's a softer room that it's ever been.
• 33:58
  [SPEAKER_06]: I mean, you know,
• 33:59
[SPEAKER_06]: when you were playing, and I worked in that building, not that building, but in a lesser building, and you had our Mando and Jason Cole and Todd Archer and Joe Shad Pre, you know, whatever we got now with Joe, and you know, Greg Bedard following people home after you know, just, yeah, it all kinds of stuff.
• 34:20
[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, those guys were pillars.
• 34:22
[SPEAKER_06]: Those guys were straight up killers.
• 34:24
  [SPEAKER_06]: And now it's, I just think it's a,
• 34:26
[SPEAKER_02]: It's an easier room, but he's a Mike and Mike's solving it up to them and they're like then buddies.
• 34:30
[SPEAKER_02]: They don't want to dislike him, man.
• 34:32
[SPEAKER_02]: He made it makes it nice for them.
• 34:34
[SPEAKER_02]: I think that even the most critical guys, they write tough articles, they don't ask tough questions in the media, the media, the media, the media, the media, the media, they're really nice to Mike when it comes to that.
• 34:48
[SPEAKER_02]: They might write some other stuff.
• 34:50
[SPEAKER_02]: We've asked, we had a couple of writers like that before or two, man, but honestly, you need,
• 34:56
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, they signed up for these positions.
• 34:58
[SPEAKER_02]: The quarterback, they signed up as the head coach.
• 35:01
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, that shit comes with the territory, bro.
• 35:03
[SPEAKER_02]: Have you ever had the word?
• 35:05
[SPEAKER_02]: When they come, when they come for, you got to be ready to, you know, to come back for a man.
• 35:09
[SPEAKER_02]: So guys have to come for him.
• 35:11
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that's just, that's the nature of the beast, man.
• 35:14
  [SPEAKER_02]: And there's some win.
• 35:15
[SPEAKER_02]: We have winning teams at times and reporters were coming for us.
• 35:18
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, we were hell.
• 35:20
[SPEAKER_02]: We would be seven and two and then they want to come up with some shit and choose like hell.
• 35:24
[SPEAKER_02]: We're seven and two and you want to ask that question about like a third string tackle, you know, what the hell is going on here, but they're breaking stories back then too.
• 35:32
  [SPEAKER_06]: That was different.
• 35:33
[SPEAKER_06]: Now it's just it's all it's there's three national guys that break all the stories.
• 35:37
  [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
• 35:37
[SPEAKER_06]: And so it's just completely, you know, here at the same, they don't ask the tough questions.
• 35:41
[SPEAKER_06]: I think sometimes they do, but it is a nice, I'm not criticizing.
• 35:46
[SPEAKER_06]: There's a lot of guys in that room that I like and respect.
• 35:48
[SPEAKER_06]: I just think it's a nicer group of just, in terms of their approach to covering the team.
• 35:54
[SPEAKER_02]: So that's what meeting is way different, you know?
• 35:57
[SPEAKER_02]: You see the tough stuff that goes on.
• 35:59
[SPEAKER_02]: You see where Aaron Glenn was going through in New York.
• 36:01
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, he creates some of the grown issues there, no, he shows up with the Battle Armor Fluxer.
• 36:07
  [SPEAKER_02]: Looked out.
• 36:08
  [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, wow.
• 36:09
  [SPEAKER_06]: So Chris clears out.
• 36:12
  [SPEAKER_06]: We're heading towards a trade deadline.
• 36:15
[SPEAKER_06]: I think with the dismissal of Greer, Champ Kelly steps in, there's this anticipation of fireworks.
• 36:22
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, there's all kinds of rumors.
• 36:24
[SPEAKER_06]: Dolphins Twitter has their non-negotiable list.
• 36:27
[SPEAKER_06]: Then they're arguing over who's on the non-negotiable list.
• 36:30
[SPEAKER_06]: And Doug, let me before I, I'm gonna ask you to answer this question.
• 36:33
[SPEAKER_06]: If and when you have to dip, just let us know you're not gonna hurt our feelings.
• 36:36
[SPEAKER_06]: I know that you've got some other obligations.
• 36:39
[SPEAKER_06]: And this was a last minute, you know, commitment that you made to us.
• 36:42
  [SPEAKER_06]: So,
• 36:45
[SPEAKER_06]: I was not on the fire sale is necessary train, and people get so excited for fantasy football and five draft picks, but who are those five guys going to play with, right?
• 36:57
[SPEAKER_06]: The Ricky Williams trade, the trade everybody for Ricky, and he shows up as a draft class of one and how the hell are you building your team?
• 37:00
  [SPEAKER_06]: And so I guess, I think, I think, I think, I think, I think, I think, I think, I think I think, I think, I think, I think, I think, I think, I think, I think, I think, I think I think, I think, I think, I think, I think, I think, I think, I think, I think, I think
• 37:06
[SPEAKER_06]: My question to you, I'll start with you, Doug, is what were you hoping to see happen?
• 37:12
[SPEAKER_06]: Do you feel the dolphins did enough?
• 37:16
[SPEAKER_06]: And what do you think about Mike McDangel after the question today?
• 37:19
  [SPEAKER_06]: It was Mike McDangel.
• 37:20
[SPEAKER_06]: it was champ Kelly and it was brand insure making those decisions in communication direct communication.
• 37:28
[SPEAKER_06]: He made sure to say direct communication with ownership.
• 37:32
  [SPEAKER_07]: I didn't expect there.
• 37:34
  [SPEAKER_07]: A fire sale.
• 37:34
[SPEAKER_07]: Anyone who expected a fire sale like the jets.
• 37:37
[SPEAKER_07]: And the jets really wasn't even a fire sale.
• 37:39
[SPEAKER_07]: They sell the trade of like what three or four players.
• 37:42
[SPEAKER_07]: It wasn't that big of a fire sale.
• 37:43
[SPEAKER_07]: It was talent like they treated talent.
• 37:45
  [SPEAKER_07]: it wasn't that crazy.
• 37:48
  [SPEAKER_07]: I didn't expect that.
• 37:49
[SPEAKER_07]: I think at best I expected a Chub Philips and then once I started hearing Minkas name getting thrown around it made sense.
• 37:58
[SPEAKER_07]: But I also, you know, Champ Kelly is trying to get the GM job, so he's not going to just give him away, so I didn't expect
• 38:07
[SPEAKER_07]: uh... tub and make it a go for like a six or or fifth i expected him to try to get something for these guys like he did with uh... jail of films giving us that third now we have five picks so far in the top one hundred which is really good but you hit them out on the headman like
• 38:22
[SPEAKER_07]: you have to build around something.
• 38:25
[SPEAKER_07]: And the fact that they came out and said sealer was not up for trading and same thing.
• 38:31
[SPEAKER_07]: Well, like you have sealer, you have a chain, you have water, you have these, this young core that you can definitely still build around.
• 38:39
[SPEAKER_07]: And if you try to
• 38:45
[SPEAKER_07]: like it literally is a lottery you see these players they have great numbers in college and you watch the film you're like oh that's that's a can't miss pick and they're all sending they suck and it's like oh well it's the transition not everyone transitions to the pros as equally as quick like people are already giving up on Jonah and Kenneth Grant even though they've played like nine games like like we need to really let these things develop they want that instant success
• 39:11
[SPEAKER_07]: And like you look at the jets who now have five first round picks in the past two years, they've been there before.
• 39:17
[SPEAKER_07]: You know, they've they've got in sauce garner and Garrett Wilson, and that equated to nothing.
• 39:22
[SPEAKER_07]: You know, they, you know, all of this stuff has happened before.
• 39:25
[SPEAKER_07]: It's not about where or how many it's about who you pick and it's about the process of evaluating these players.
• 39:32
[SPEAKER_07]: So, you know, I'm glad that they didn't do a fire sale.
• 39:35
  [SPEAKER_07]: It sucks that
• 39:39
[SPEAKER_07]: I honestly think and I keep saying that he's probably with the evils is going to get seven sacks.
• 39:44
[SPEAKER_07]: I think his sack total is going to shoot up because you saw with Vic Fangeo, he had six and a half sacks and eight games and then under Anthony Weaver, he's barely doing anything.
• 39:56
[SPEAKER_07]: But the team is a whole on defense, you know, we were 27th last year in sacks this year we're 22nd.
• 40:01
[SPEAKER_07]: We were number three under Vic Fangeo.
• 40:03
[SPEAKER_07]: So I think, you know, I think at the end of the year, you're going to have jail
• 40:09
[SPEAKER_07]: you know, there's going to end plus he has some great deal.
• 40:12
  [SPEAKER_07]: I'm next to him.
• 40:14
[SPEAKER_07]: But yeah, I didn't expect a complete fire sale.
• 40:16
[SPEAKER_07]: I think they did what they needed to.
• 40:18
[SPEAKER_07]: Obviously, they got calls about general water, but, you know, they probably wanted what sauce got.
• 40:24
[SPEAKER_07]: And that's fair to ask, you know, general water right now.
• 40:26
  [SPEAKER_07]: I think is,
• 40:27
[SPEAKER_07]: the number eight receiver receiving aren't so why wouldn't you want you know that type of pick for top 10 receiver but again you want to build around these guys why you can a jettison everybody so it made sense to me that they didn't do a fire so smart it was very smart by a Kelly
• 40:42
[SPEAKER_02]: My question is this, you know, like the fact that the jets were able to get what they got for their players, who on our roster, maybe other than the H&K, would garner some that type of those type of draft picks, man.
• 40:56
[SPEAKER_02]: You think what we asked, what can we possibly would ask if we were to trade water that teams turned it down?
• 41:03
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, we don't know what was, what was, what was asked, and what was offered for water.
• 41:08
[SPEAKER_02]: And teams obviously didn't take the bait if he was out there at all.
• 41:12
[SPEAKER_02]: HN's probably only got at, in my opinion, that would garner a first round pick or maybe, you know, possibly a two first round picks.
• 41:19
[SPEAKER_02]: Who else when I rostered, you guys think would be first round pick compensated?
• 41:24
  [SPEAKER_02]: You know, who?
• 41:25
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it's tough to, it's tough to pick one question.
• 41:28
  [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
• 41:29
[SPEAKER_06]: I think water was the only guy that would be close
• 41:33
[SPEAKER_06]: Well, I shouldn't say clearly, but I have to imagine the offer wasn't there.
• 41:36
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, it might have been a, it might have been a one, but maybe they wanted more.
• 41:39
[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe they wanted more than maybe they were the first round off for there, but, but, you know, maybe one or two or a first and a second, whatever might be, but other than that, though, I can't see anybody on our roster that everybody's like, oh, yeah, we'll give you a first round pick for that guy.
• 41:51
  [SPEAKER_06]: I agree.
• 41:52
[SPEAKER_06]: I agree with you there.
• 41:53
[SPEAKER_06]: I am surprised the jet Scott, what they got, especially Man, I think that that was what it was.
• 41:59
[SPEAKER_02]: What it boils down to is all the pressure now on the GM and Aaron Glenn there.
• 42:03
[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
• 42:03
[SPEAKER_02]: You get these, you got five like Doug said, five first round picks in the next two years.
• 42:08
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, and we had three and one year we talked about the two of, you know, Austin Jackson, Ignanogany, you know, that all, that was a, that was.
• 42:17
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I'm gonna give two of credit for being pretty good.
• 42:19
[SPEAKER_02]: He's even solid enough, but that was a shitty first round for us.
• 42:23
[SPEAKER_02]: It was a shootie for us, man.
• 42:26
[SPEAKER_06]: Give him what we had and what the Yeah.
• 42:28
  [SPEAKER_06]: Disaster.
• 42:29
  [SPEAKER_02]: Oh.
• 42:30
[SPEAKER_02]: You really could have destroyed that draft with those three picks in the first round because of what we accumulate.
• 42:37
[SPEAKER_02]: Now, you got to give Chris credit for that, right?
• 42:38
[SPEAKER_02]: We got to give Chris credit for getting the picks.
• 42:41
[SPEAKER_02]: But then we got to give him credit for fucking wasting them at that point.
• 42:44
  [SPEAKER_06]: A thousand percent.
• 42:45
[SPEAKER_06]: And you can't, you can't tie Mike again on any of that.
• 42:47
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, any of that, what happened that year or the following year, Mike McDaniel has no ownership of either of those two things, so I agree with you there and I also
• 42:57
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, maybe nobody wanted to give a first round pick or whatever might, you know, they might have been asking if they even were asking anything for water, but I understand the dolphins not being willing to give it up.
• 43:09
[SPEAKER_06]: And I just think that he is your number one receiver right now.
• 43:13
[SPEAKER_06]: A lot of people question whether or not he was a number one receiver, but we see what happens as soon as whenever Tyre Kille is not in the lineup, water's numbers go up significantly and he becomes a critically important player to this offense.
• 43:27
[SPEAKER_06]: And we talked about that in previous live shows, about what Tyrex absence would do to the offense as a whole.
• 43:33
[SPEAKER_06]: And so he's playing a really good football, and probably better football than his numbers even indicate, because of
• 43:39
[SPEAKER_06]: you know, the subbar performance of to a the offensive line and maybe some questionable play calling.
• 43:45
[SPEAKER_06]: So I think Wattles a really good football player and he the contract is structured in a way.
• 43:51
[SPEAKER_06]: Well even though he got paid, I think he's got a cap friendly number the next two years and I don't I don't play cap colleges, but when they I think they say what a nine million and a million over the next two years.
• 44:01
[SPEAKER_06]: I mean that those are in this day and age,
• 44:04
[SPEAKER_06]: That is for a player of his caliber.
• 44:06
[SPEAKER_06]: Those are really good numbers.
• 44:07
[SPEAKER_06]: There's no reason to give up.
• 44:08
[SPEAKER_06]: If you're, if the goal of firing your general manager potentially firing your head coach is to improve your team, then why would you take away one of the, to me, one of the key components of a young player who's talented, who's relatively healthy, and who's on a friendly level.
• 44:24
[SPEAKER_02]: There you go, there you go, there you go, no, relatively healthy is right, but he hasn't been relatively healthy, you know, either.
• 44:30
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, you know, and that's got to had to play a part in what's going on with Wattles.
• 44:34
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, Wattles may be been in and out for most of his career here, but not in a way like Jalen Phillips.
• 44:41
[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, Jalen Phil just had back the back catastrophic injuries, you know, where it caused them to season.
• 44:45
[SPEAKER_02]: I thought we really got a third round pig for it.
• 44:47
[SPEAKER_06]: Well, fair enough, no fair enough and a third round pick that could be a very very low third round pick.
• 44:54
[SPEAKER_06]: So, you know, that's fair as well.
• 44:58
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, it'll be interesting to see what happens from here.
• 45:01
[SPEAKER_06]: Fellas, do we have any shot against Buffalo?
• 45:04
[SPEAKER_06]: Do you want them to have a shot against Buffalo?
• 45:06
  [SPEAKER_01]: any given Sunday.
• 45:11
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you know, I mean, the only way, you know, it might be Daniel, I think he said it today that the one time they did be buffaloes, buffaloes looking to the next opponent, you know, and then look past the dolphins when the dolphins snuck up on them like Mike's first year.
• 45:26
[SPEAKER_02]: Buffalo buffaloes firing off cylinders right now.
• 45:29
[SPEAKER_02]: They're back to being the Buffalo bills.
• 45:33
[SPEAKER_02]: They had a couple hiccups earlier in the season, but Josh Allen and that crew, the defense, is back to being rock solid again, man.
• 45:41
[SPEAKER_02]: They're going to take over hard rock stadium.
• 45:43
[SPEAKER_02]: My fear is coming down here, and they're going to be doing what they do.
• 45:48
[SPEAKER_02]: They're going to get to the elbow room, and I'm going to go by there and flip them all off, and then keep them moving.
• 45:53
  [SPEAKER_02]: Things like that.
• 45:54
[SPEAKER_02]: Now I really don't think we have a chance big Seth and I think that we're going to be underdogs the rest of the season no matter who we play you know well sure we've earned that maybe you want to play that again we do we are big underdogs against underdogs you know me teams that were brown to and whatever
• 46:12
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, it's a damn shame that we were such dogs again so many teams and and touchdown plus dogs, which is hard to imagine in NFL, no matter who you're playing and against who you're playing.
• 46:23
[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, we have, you know, hopefully they go out there and competitive and these guys want to talk about, you know, hopefully in the fourth quarter, we got a chance to go out there and find a way to win, but hell, it could be over, you know, by 2030 on Sunday.
• 46:38
[SPEAKER_06]: but you said he's put in a hundred dollars straight up for my am in a way and I love it too good too good so i'm gonna you know what rather than asking that question in the round table here i'm gonna skip ahead because i want to get to the segment if dug has something prepared do are you prepared for the i tried to tell y'all segment i could probably think of something like i would pick it off and then we'll come to you yeah i got to be a part of it oh jamey duffy what did you try to tell us
• 47:04
  [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, big sad.
• 47:05
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what I try to tell you, man.
• 47:07
[SPEAKER_02]: Um, because I can't find what I try to tell you.
• 47:11
[SPEAKER_08]: Savak, what did you try to tell me?
• 47:13
[SPEAKER_02]: Just play it, I'll just play it.
• 47:14
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, I'll just play it.
• 47:15
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I try to tell you all that I was tired of starting over as a dolphins fan.
• 47:21
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, every, every sense they, they fired the great down Shula, you know, we've been starting over.
• 47:26
[SPEAKER_02]: from head coaches to GM.
• 47:27
[SPEAKER_02]: Starting with Jimmy Johnson and Narcissis, who thought he could do it all himself, yeah, you know, the amazing Eddie Jones by Dowdy after use, Eddie's wisdom for anything.
• 47:37
[SPEAKER_02]: But Jimmy, you know, he did some great things.
• 47:39
[SPEAKER_02]: He got some players like Zach Thomas and J.T.
• 47:41
[SPEAKER_02]: while being a GM, but he couldn't coach worth a damn, just straight shitty.
• 47:46
[SPEAKER_02]: Then on the Dave wants that, who I love, but didn't get anything done either with an amazing defense and the best run game in football at the time, time management was always a problem with him and being way too conservative.
• 47:58
[SPEAKER_02]: Dave had a troll over personnel as well and then you get Jim Bates, he's on the intern basis after once and was fired and they also had 80 Jones, despite the fact that they were probably calling their own shots.
• 48:10
[SPEAKER_02]: Then you mix in some Rick's
• 48:12
[SPEAKER_02]: I kind of knew baits would, you know, wouldn't get the perm to job, so, you know, it was kind of okay there.
• 48:17
[SPEAKER_02]: So, then we go get the hottest coaching football, Nick Saber, and he had Randy Mueller, you know, you know, that Nick took too much advice from anybody.
• 48:25
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think he does that with anybody who knows though.
• 48:28
  [SPEAKER_02]: Listen to JT.
• 48:30
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
• 48:30
  [SPEAKER_02]: All right.
• 48:32
  [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
• 48:32
[SPEAKER_02]: And Nick was a great college coach as we all know, but couldn't handle games, you know, growing ass men in the locker room, you know, just because he know, he told us that.
• 48:41
[SPEAKER_02]: He said, you know, on our podcast, he just couldn't handle the grown ass men, that you, we had it more of it, because then of course, Camp Cameron, again, family.
• 48:49
[SPEAKER_02]: We all know how that all turned out.
• 48:52
[SPEAKER_02]: Follow by Sparano and Jeff Ireland.
• 48:54
[SPEAKER_02]: We love Sparano, Todd Bowles is there for a brief run with Ireland as well.
• 48:59
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, next you got Joe Fillman for a few years.
• 49:01
  [SPEAKER_02]: He was Hickey's GM.
• 49:02
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, now let's stay with me here.
• 49:04
[SPEAKER_02]: Dan Cameron for this season out.
• 49:06
[SPEAKER_02]: Now we get the gays, Flores and McDaniel who all had Chris Greer as a GM.
• 49:13
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I don't tell you guys, I don't tell you guys how the last decade has been for us.
• 49:18
[SPEAKER_02]: So when I tried to tell you all
• 49:22
[SPEAKER_02]: But, I'm okay with it now, man.
• 49:25
  [SPEAKER_02]: You're right.
• 49:26
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not giving me the younger.
• 49:27
[SPEAKER_02]: And we definitely not get any better.
• 49:29
[SPEAKER_02]: So we have to blow it up, blow it up, man.
• 49:32
  [SPEAKER_02]: I don't care.
• 49:33
[SPEAKER_02]: One piece is falling, which you'll see what happens to the rest I try to tell you.
• 49:39
[SPEAKER_06]: That was like some M. Night Shyamalan plot with the D.N.
• 49:43
[SPEAKER_06]: And I didn't see that shake coming at all.
• 49:46
  [SPEAKER_06]: Outstanding stuff by O.J.
• 49:47
  [SPEAKER_06]: McDuffie.
• 49:48
[SPEAKER_06]: Dougley, how are you feeling?
• 49:49
[SPEAKER_06]: Are you ready to try to tell us something?
• 49:51
  [SPEAKER_07]: I got one.
• 49:52
[SPEAKER_07]: For people who follow me on Twitter and who follow my channel.
• 49:56
[SPEAKER_07]: I tried telling you guys, Chris Greer was not going to make it till the end of the season.
• 50:02
[SPEAKER_07]: I tried to tell you October 6th.
• 50:04
[SPEAKER_07]: I even pulled a tweet up to get the exact date.
• 50:07
[SPEAKER_07]: I tried to tell you that someone got to go and it had to be Chris Greer.
• 50:13
[SPEAKER_07]: That man who sat there and told us.
• 50:15
[SPEAKER_07]: You're more worried about the offensive line than I am.
• 50:18
[SPEAKER_07]: Over the past three years has the third least amount of money spent on free agent offensive lineman.
• 50:26
[SPEAKER_07]: The third least amount of draft capital spent on offensive lineman.
• 50:31
  [SPEAKER_07]: And here we sit.
• 50:33
  [SPEAKER_07]: James Daniels.
• 50:34
[SPEAKER_07]: I was excited about James Daniels.
• 50:35
[SPEAKER_07]: He played one snap if anything.
• 50:38
  [SPEAKER_07]: And he's gone.
• 50:39
  [SPEAKER_07]: Jackson heard again.
• 50:42
[SPEAKER_07]: If one thing after another with the offensive line, and then you got two of coming out of the issue, saying, I could throw the ball quick.
• 50:49
[SPEAKER_07]: They made that man come out and say that, you know, for a fact that's not what he was thinking.
• 50:52
[SPEAKER_07]: He was trying to help out his offensive lineman.
• 50:55
  [SPEAKER_07]: I can't tell you.
• 50:56
[SPEAKER_07]: Chris Greer was not surviving this season.
• 51:00
[SPEAKER_07]: But I gotta get out of here, guys.
• 51:01
  [SPEAKER_07]: I appreciate you.
• 51:03
  [SPEAKER_06]: Appreciate you, man.
• 51:04
  [SPEAKER_06]: We appreciate you, man.
• 51:05
  [SPEAKER_06]: That was great.
• 51:06
  [SPEAKER_06]: Great stuff.
• 51:07
[SPEAKER_06]: You did try to tell us.
• 51:08
[SPEAKER_06]: And I guess you were right.
• 51:09
  [SPEAKER_06]: You were right.
• 51:09
  [SPEAKER_08]: You were right, bro.
• 51:10
[SPEAKER_06]: He is the king of Dolphins, you too.
• 51:13
[SPEAKER_06]: Whether you like it or not.
• 51:14
[SPEAKER_06]: That would be do wrong.
• 51:16
[SPEAKER_06]: Keep doing great stuff, man.
• 51:17
  [SPEAKER_06]: We appreciate your brother.
• 51:18
  [SPEAKER_06]: I appreciate you, guys.
• 51:19
  [SPEAKER_06]: Talk to you guys.
• 51:20
  [SPEAKER_06]: All right, be well.
• 51:21
  [SPEAKER_06]: Way to do, please.
• 51:22
  [SPEAKER_06]: But we're not leaving.
• 51:23
[SPEAKER_06]: So now, if we see the numbers just plummet, we know everybody was here with Doug.
• 51:27
[SPEAKER_01]: You're gonna win these things.
• 51:28
[SPEAKER_06]: But what did you try to tell us, brother?
• 51:29
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, you're not going to believe this, but Dugly took mine.
• 51:36
[SPEAKER_01]: But here's the good news.
• 51:37
  [SPEAKER_01]: Here's the good news.
• 51:38
[SPEAKER_01]: It actually turned out because I kind of had a two for but they all wrapped in together.
• 51:42
[SPEAKER_01]: So let me tell you a quick story.
• 51:44
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, and I at first, I guess let me preface these comments by saying,
• 51:48
[SPEAKER_01]: Express in my great appreciation and respect for Chris Greer, I want to thank him for all of the time that he dedicated to the franchise.
• 51:56
[SPEAKER_01]: I think some people, I'm glad you talked about it, Seth, because some people don't realize he was with the organization for like 25 years.
• 52:02
  [SPEAKER_01]: Right.
• 52:03
[SPEAKER_01]: Worked his way up from the bottom, so I want to start there.
• 52:06
[SPEAKER_01]: But now, let me pay the picture for you guys.
• 52:10
[SPEAKER_01]: It is the night of the 2018 NFL draft.
• 52:14
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sitting there in front of my television with my wife where dressed in the colors.
• 52:19
[SPEAKER_01]: I won't say with the order that I would normally say them in juice out of respect for you.
• 52:24
[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm thinking at this moment, because remember, this is 2018, we just came out of 2017, kind of a law season.
• 52:33
[SPEAKER_01]: We, you know, Tanny Reinhardt is knee.
• 52:36
[SPEAKER_01]: J. Cutler came in the whole thing, you know, little disappointing, exactly.
• 52:42
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm thinking at this moment, we've come in and we've got all these quarterbacks, like my gosh, there's a handful of these guys we might be able to get in position to take one.
• 52:50
[SPEAKER_01]: We watched them go, may field, uh, darn old Allen.
• 52:55
[SPEAKER_01]: This is where I got scared, because the word around the campfire had been that Adam Gaze loved him some Josh Rosen.
• 53:04
[SPEAKER_01]: So how excited was I when the Cardinals traded up ahead of Miami and took him?
• 53:10
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm thinking at this moment, there is no possible way.
• 53:15
[SPEAKER_01]: This team does not take Lamar Jackson here.
• 53:19
[SPEAKER_01]: because at, I don't know how you guys viewed it, I'd love to get your opinion of that night, but when I was looking at it, I'm thinking, we need a quarterback, and there is not a better player available in this draft, at least at that moment than the Mar Jackson.
• 53:36
[SPEAKER_01]: So, I was thinking in that moment, that's the time you need to take a big swing.
• 53:42
[SPEAKER_01]: As I love to say, you never hit home runs if all you do is blunt.
• 53:48
[SPEAKER_01]: And unfortunately, we know how that night went.
• 53:50
[SPEAKER_01]: That pic did not go to Lamar Jackson.
• 53:52
[SPEAKER_01]: He took Mink of Fitzpatrick, which is fine.
• 53:55
[SPEAKER_01]: Mink is a good player.
• 53:57
[SPEAKER_01]: But it was a really safe pic in a time we kind of needed to swing for the fences.
• 54:02
[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that ultimately, not taking that big swing when we needed to is what led us to where we are right this moment.
• 54:10
[SPEAKER_01]: So I tried to tell you,
• 54:13
[SPEAKER_01]: We should have drafted the Marjacks.
• 54:15
  [SPEAKER_06]: That was the shift.
• 54:16
  [SPEAKER_06]: Wow.
• 54:16
  [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
• 54:17
  [SPEAKER_06]: Wow.
• 54:17
  [SPEAKER_06]: That's a way back.
• 54:19
  [SPEAKER_06]: The 2018 draft.
• 54:21
  [SPEAKER_06]: All right.
• 54:22
[SPEAKER_06]: Well, you tried to tell us, and it's a fair one.
• 54:24
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
• 54:24
  [SPEAKER_02]: The Marjacks.
• 54:25
[SPEAKER_02]: We just know why we didn't.
• 54:26
[SPEAKER_02]: We saw the results of that draft in his ass.
• 54:29
  [SPEAKER_02]: There was.
• 54:29
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, and it's so fitting.
• 54:31
[SPEAKER_01]: So fitting that we just played them, too.
• 54:33
[SPEAKER_01]: And it was the Marjacks comeback game from injury.
• 54:35
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 54:36
[SPEAKER_06]: Speaking of compacts, I will say to us best game of his entire career.
• 54:40
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, it was a great day for our jacks.
• 54:42
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 54:42
[SPEAKER_01]: So I just wanted to say that.
• 54:43
[SPEAKER_01]: I love my horse ball, though, yeah.
• 54:45
  [SPEAKER_01]: No, no, no, no.
• 54:45
[SPEAKER_02]: You did the same thing in that game, boy.
• 54:48
  [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
• 54:49
[SPEAKER_01]: Of course, while there's no guarantee that we would have saw the same level of success, you know, multi MVP.
• 54:56
[SPEAKER_01]: What I can tell you is we likely probably wouldn't be where we are right now.
• 55:02
[SPEAKER_06]: So because he's an ace, I would have made me a good match.
• 55:04
[SPEAKER_06]: I would have been much better off knowing we could have had got, we could have gotten a lot more.
• 55:11
[SPEAKER_06]: that the Miami Dolphins are still trying to win games in 2025.
• 55:16
  [SPEAKER_06]: And I know it.
• 55:17
[SPEAKER_06]: and they ain't doing a very good job of it.
• 55:20
[SPEAKER_06]: But damn it if they're not trying.
• 55:22
[SPEAKER_06]: I tried to tell y'all that two a tongue of Iloa as long as he's healthy is going to be the starting quarterback the Miami Dolphins throughout the rest of this season.
• 55:32
[SPEAKER_06]: To us that he hadn't heard that about these playing for his job and the reason he hasn't heard it because he's not.
• 55:38
[SPEAKER_06]: He's the starting quarterback, Quinn yours.
• 55:41
[SPEAKER_06]: He ain't gonna be starting quarterback.
• 55:42
[SPEAKER_06]: I'm sorry for all of you people that think that he should be.
• 55:45
[SPEAKER_06]: We need to see what he's got.
• 55:46
[SPEAKER_06]: They see what he's got.
• 55:47
[SPEAKER_06]: He ain't ready to be that dude.
• 55:49
[SPEAKER_06]: Zach Wilson has never been that dude.
• 55:52
[SPEAKER_06]: And he's still not ready to be that dude.
• 55:54
[SPEAKER_06]: He lost his number two spot.
• 55:57
[SPEAKER_06]: The coinures at one point for crying out loud.
• 55:59
[SPEAKER_06]: I tried to tell you all they're still trying to win games.
• 56:02
  [SPEAKER_06]: They did not
• 56:04
  [SPEAKER_06]: have a fire sale.
• 56:06
[SPEAKER_06]: They made a smart trade with Jalen Phillips as much as those of us who really like Jalen, both as a person as a player, maybe even more as a person, not because he wasn't a great player or a good player, but he was an incredible person, but it was a smart trade.
• 56:21
[SPEAKER_06]: That wasn't a trade at a team that is tanking makes.
• 56:25
[SPEAKER_06]: That was a trade that a team makes to try to get out in front of the big payday, to try and take advantage of value, to try not to have a player that you're going to invest in and could, again, have an injury where he misses tremendous amount of the season.
• 56:40
[SPEAKER_06]: That was a smart trade.
• 56:41
[SPEAKER_06]: But if they had traded him and Chubb, and you've got Chobb, Robinson,
• 56:51
[SPEAKER_06]: Who are they going to go line up, you know, this team is still trying to win games in 2025.
• 56:58
[SPEAKER_06]: You're hearing that Mike McDaniel is safe.
• 57:01
[SPEAKER_06]: I can tell you that I believe that Mike McDaniel is coaching to keep his job.
• 57:06
[SPEAKER_06]: Mike McDaniel is not on board with just losing the rest of the season so that he can have a high draft pick for champ Kelly or somebody else to make, and he may not even be there for it.
• 57:18
[SPEAKER_06]: The Miami dolphins are still trying to win games in 2025, whether you like it or not.
• 57:24
[SPEAKER_06]: That's what happens inside of a building.
• 57:30
[SPEAKER_06]: People get paid to win.
• 57:32
[SPEAKER_06]: I told you guys, you can't go look as acceler in the face and say, hey, we're going to give this kid a shot.
• 57:39
[SPEAKER_06]: We're going to lose games because we want to get a good draft pick.
• 57:42
[SPEAKER_06]: You can't go look Bradley Chubbe in the face.
• 57:44
[SPEAKER_06]: You can't go look Mickey Fitzpatrick in the face.
• 57:46
[SPEAKER_06]: You can't go look Aaron Brewer in the face.
• 57:47
[SPEAKER_06]: Can't go look Jalen, water on the face and say, we're not going to try our best, but we still want you guys to act like professionals.
• 57:54
[SPEAKER_06]: We're getting paid millions of dollars.
• 57:56
[SPEAKER_06]: It doesn't work and more than anything.
• 57:58
[SPEAKER_06]: Mike McDaniel wants to win game because he wants to prove that he can continue to win football games and that he deserves to be the head coach of the Miami Dolphins So I believe this team is still gonna try and win games if you're rooting against them
• 58:15
[SPEAKER_06]: Don't get mad at Juice and I if we celebrate and win.
• 58:17
  [SPEAKER_06]: Bam, right.
• 58:18
  [SPEAKER_06]: We're gonna celebrate wins.
• 58:19
[SPEAKER_06]: We like to see the dolphins win.
• 58:21
[SPEAKER_06]: They can win in the draft by picking good players as Dougley said earlier.
• 58:24
[SPEAKER_06]: But they're gonna try and win in the field.
• 58:26
[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know how well they're gonna do it.
• 58:28
  [SPEAKER_06]: I don't know how.
• 58:29
[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know that they're gonna be successful doing it.
• 58:31
[SPEAKER_06]: But they're still trying to win football games in 2025.
• 58:35
[SPEAKER_06]: Or the a liking or not.
• 58:36
[SPEAKER_06]: I tried to tell you all.
• 58:38
  [SPEAKER_06]: That's what I got.
• 58:39
  [SPEAKER_01]: You sure did.
• 58:40
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, man.
• 58:41
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they better.
• 58:42
  [SPEAKER_02]: They better, man.
• 58:44
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not wasting all my damn hours of the day on Sunday, man.
• 58:47
[SPEAKER_02]: They ain't trying to win the damn game, man.
• 58:50
[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
• 58:51
[SPEAKER_02]: I just told y'all live near South Beach.
• 58:55
  [SPEAKER_06]: Right.
• 58:55
  [SPEAKER_06]: He's got better things.
• 58:57
[SPEAKER_06]: Better things I could be doing.
• 58:59
  [SPEAKER_06]: I think about it.
• 59:00
[SPEAKER_06]: It was in Stephen Rothers' quote that Champ Kelly thanked him for stepping in and that winning is still a priority.
• 59:07
  [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
• 59:08
[SPEAKER_06]: The fact that Mike McDaniel still has his job tells me that they still want to see what he can do can he turn this thing around?
• 59:15
[SPEAKER_06]: And by turning it around, it's, you know, can he show that the team doesn't quit on him and he can still take his 50 something million dollar quarterback and all of these other players that they've invested in and get them to be the best versions of themselves?
• 59:29
[SPEAKER_06]: I just think that that's what they're looking to see.
• 59:30
[SPEAKER_06]: What was I'm sorry, Savak?
• 59:32
  [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, let's go.
• 59:32
[SPEAKER_01]: I just had one question real quick is from earlier.
• 59:35
[SPEAKER_01]: Why do you think they went with champ Kelly and not Marvin Allen for the interim role?
• 59:40
  [SPEAKER_01]: It's a great question.
• 59:41
[SPEAKER_06]: We haven't heard anything from Marvin Allen.
• 59:43
[SPEAKER_06]: I mean even Mike McDaniel talk who is in the room making the decision that the deadline Right, so I don't you know there hasn't there hasn't been an announcement, but it just sounds to me like he's he's not whether it's By his own choice or whether it's just decisions that they've made without officially making decisions, but it you know
• 1:00:03
[SPEAKER_06]: doesn't seem like he's involved, at least out of that capacity.
• 1:00:06
[SPEAKER_02]: And I love that our owners talking about, you know, trying to win games, because we know that wasn't the case.
• 1:00:10
[SPEAKER_02]: And the prior regimes here, you know what I mean?
• 1:00:13
[SPEAKER_06]: So, yeah, not if the start of it, absolutely.
• 1:00:15
[SPEAKER_06]: It became the case, but they wanted it that it was very, that whole tank for two or whoever they were tanking for, that was the clear decision that was made.
• 1:00:25
[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, when you look at that roster and the opening day of 2020, was that 2020, 2019.
• 1:00:31
[SPEAKER_06]: That was not an organization that was trying to win games and we understand there's a lawsuit out there and some other alleged things that exist and somebody else will have to decide what's real and what isn't.
• 1:00:43
[SPEAKER_06]: But clearly they were not trying to win games.
• 1:00:46
[SPEAKER_06]: But I believe that they are trying to win games just in just sitting there juice, what's your thoughts on crucial for head coach.
• 1:00:52
[SPEAKER_06]: I know McVay is very high on him.
• 1:00:54
[SPEAKER_06]: I would love it, but I also understand the pressure that he would be on.
• 1:00:56
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah man.
• 1:00:57
  [SPEAKER_02]: Good question.
• 1:00:58
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, a great question.
• 1:00:59
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I talked about that with somebody earlier today, and it'd be great.
• 1:01:02
[SPEAKER_02]: What a great story that beat to have Chris Chula come here.
• 1:01:05
[SPEAKER_02]: I just worried about the pressure on him, the pressure on the organization.
• 1:01:09
[SPEAKER_02]: He hasn't been a head man, you know, but we've had a bunch of guys that haven't been head man.
• 1:01:14
  [SPEAKER_02]: So, who knows, man?
• 1:01:17
[SPEAKER_02]: I just, you know, bottom line is this, when you got somebody that young, you got to have a bunch of great guys around you to, you know, with support and personnel and stuff, man.
• 1:01:25
[SPEAKER_02]: But how would a great story that would be to have a shoot?
• 1:01:28
  [SPEAKER_02]: It would be incredible.
• 1:01:29
[SPEAKER_02]: Right, you know, I mean, be down here in Miami.
• 1:01:31
[SPEAKER_02]: Now I would love it and he'd get our full, full support.
• 1:01:35
[SPEAKER_02]: If they made that call for it.
• 1:01:37
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, that'd be the feel good story of the summer.
• 1:01:39
[SPEAKER_06]: So so I've got a I'm looking at some of these names in the chat.
• 1:01:42
[SPEAKER_06]: I have a couple thoughts here and and also let me say this and I tried to tell you all it's a team is still trying to win games.
• 1:01:48
[SPEAKER_06]: I'm not necessarily advocating that they keep might be Daniel.
• 1:01:51
[SPEAKER_06]: I think we need to see what happens in these next game, but I have been.
• 1:01:56
[SPEAKER_06]: I hope very clear on the fact that while there are absolutely failures during Chris Greer's tenure I'm not saying the entire thing was a fit well ultimately I guess if you look at the body work and the goal is to win playoff games But I think there were good things I I also think that he was blamed for everything which wasn't fair The big ass issues we have with the Miami Dolphins right now to me Fall on the shoulders of coaching more than they do
• 1:02:24
[SPEAKER_06]: somebody sitting upstairs in air conditioning.
• 1:02:27
[SPEAKER_06]: In my opinion, that's my opinion.
• 1:02:29
[SPEAKER_06]: So a couple of things that are in here, if you'd like to address them as stuff in the chat.
• 1:02:35
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, Steve, Donna Ponte, yes, somebody said a Ponte, I'm sure they met Donna Ponte.
• 1:02:39
[SPEAKER_06]: Yes, she did work here previously.
• 1:02:41
[SPEAKER_06]: Yes, she was heavily handed during the Tannenbaum slash Joe Philbin regime.
• 1:02:50
[SPEAKER_06]: I do not think that that's a good fit.
• 1:02:52
[SPEAKER_06]: Don is clearly a very smart and very experienced personnel.
• 1:03:01
  [SPEAKER_02]: Right.
• 1:03:01
  [SPEAKER_06]: Yes, and administrator.
• 1:03:03
  [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
• 1:03:03
[SPEAKER_06]: I do not think that that is the person that I would want for the Miami Dolphins to have running the operation.
• 1:03:09
[SPEAKER_06]: So yeah, that is my thought there Darren Rizsey.
• 1:03:13
  [SPEAKER_06]: I can't possibly see that they didn't
• 1:03:17
[SPEAKER_06]: you know, they didn't think it made sense here previously.
• 1:03:20
[SPEAKER_06]: He had an opportunity with the Saints.
• 1:03:23
[SPEAKER_06]: They didn't think it made sense there.
• 1:03:25
[SPEAKER_06]: I don't see Darren Rizzi being the head coach.
• 1:03:27
[SPEAKER_02]: Very few of those interns that would save get a chance or continue on though.
• 1:03:31
[SPEAKER_02]: Do they unless you got a really knock it out there?
• 1:03:34
[SPEAKER_06]: That's fair and maybe have a few years.
• 1:03:36
[SPEAKER_06]: Well, we saw it with the Raiders, right?
• 1:03:38
  [SPEAKER_02]: For a year.
• 1:03:39
  [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, but they did.
• 1:03:41
  [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
• 1:03:41
  [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
• 1:03:42
  [SPEAKER_06]: Absolutely.
• 1:03:44
  [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
• 1:03:44
  [SPEAKER_06]: So that's, you know, that's a fair point.
• 1:03:46
[SPEAKER_06]: But I just don't think Rizzi isn't the direction that I would go in.
• 1:03:50
[SPEAKER_06]: And not that I'm even necessarily looking at.
• 1:03:53
  [SPEAKER_06]: So Lane Kiffin.
• 1:03:54
[SPEAKER_06]: So that's an interesting one.
• 1:03:55
[SPEAKER_06]: I ran and I had this conversation with Dave Hide today because he wrote and I know Lane Kiffin is a name that people were starting to get some buzz around.
• 1:04:01
[SPEAKER_06]: Certainly at the collegiate level.
• 1:04:03
[SPEAKER_06]: And I don't think any of these NFL teams can compete with an SEC school.
• 1:04:06
[SPEAKER_06]: That's going to pay him a whole lot of money.
• 1:04:09
  [SPEAKER_06]: But I just
• 1:04:11
[SPEAKER_06]: It's, you know, Dave wrote that he had NFL head coaching experience.
• 1:04:14
[SPEAKER_06]: And I'm like, he went four and twelve with the Raiders and then one and three is next season with the Raiders and then he was fired and then he was back in college ball.
• 1:04:23
[SPEAKER_06]: Do you think if Mike McDaniel was handed a collective?
• 1:04:28
[SPEAKER_06]: a college team and a collective and the ability to recruit and I think he's a great recruiter.
• 1:04:34
[SPEAKER_06]: Every player that comes here loves Coach Mike when they come in.
• 1:04:37
  [SPEAKER_06]: Mike is cool.
• 1:04:38
[SPEAKER_06]: He's, you know, I think that Mike McDaniel could be a great college coach.
• 1:04:43
[SPEAKER_06]: gimmicky offenses can be very successful at the college level.
• 1:04:48
  [SPEAKER_06]: We've seen that happen.
• 1:04:50
[SPEAKER_06]: And so I think that why would we have a link, Kiffin, just because he went foreign 12 with the Raiders?
• 1:04:56
[SPEAKER_06]: Might be again, it was a far more successful head coach in the NFL than Lane Kiffin was.
• 1:05:01
[SPEAKER_06]: So did he become a better NFL head coach based on, I don't know.
• 1:05:05
[SPEAKER_06]: And I just, for all the people that say, look at all the coaches that were here and we let go.
• 1:05:11
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, whether it's from Todd Bowles to Dan Campbell, those guys took a period of time before they got their chance to be head coaches again.
• 1:05:21
[SPEAKER_06]: Todd Bowles had a very rough time with the jets before he got to Tampa.
• 1:05:26
[SPEAKER_06]: And so it's like, if you're not going to give Mike McDaniel a chance to fail and then succeed and grow, then why would you give somebody else who failed?
• 1:05:33
[SPEAKER_06]: Why all of a sudden is that person now exciting to bring in?
• 1:05:36
  [SPEAKER_06]: That's my thought there.
• 1:05:37
  [SPEAKER_03]: And which Jason Garrett?
• 1:05:40
[SPEAKER_03]: And Garrett, yeah, I like Jason.
• 1:05:42
  [SPEAKER_06]: Interesting, there.
• 1:05:43
[SPEAKER_06]: It wasn't great episode, by the way.
• 1:05:45
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it was.
• 1:05:45
[SPEAKER_02]: And I also think Jason's enjoying his job that he has on TV, too.
• 1:05:51
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, a lot of times, it's hard to make guys work eight days a week instead of just the week in gigs that they have nowadays, making really, really good money, especially former head coaches that are probably still getting paid by the organization.
• 1:06:05
  [SPEAKER_06]: That's a fair point.
• 1:06:07
[SPEAKER_06]: But do you think he'd be a good hand coach again?
• 1:06:09
  [SPEAKER_02]: I think he is.
• 1:06:10
  [SPEAKER_02]: I think he's super smart.
• 1:06:11
  [SPEAKER_02]: I think he's a very honest self as a great people.
• 1:06:13
[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of times when you out of a job is when you learn, you learn a lot, being out of out of coaching, right then, and then you also, you run in the different circles now where you'd be able to hire a different staff.
• 1:06:25
[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of guys that were on your staff before are probably working somewhere else.
• 1:06:28
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, you know, some of the guys are sitting home and waiting on you to get the gig now.
• 1:06:32
[SPEAKER_02]: They're like, hey, I can't wait for you back in there, Jason, I'm sitting at home, you know, in Cheetos.
• 1:06:37
  [SPEAKER_02]: I need, I need a gig, you know?
• 1:06:38
[SPEAKER_02]: Trips, did you have a clicker in one hand?
• 1:06:40
[SPEAKER_02]: Trips in the other hand?
• 1:06:42
  [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, yeah.
• 1:06:43
[SPEAKER_06]: So, and I just said, you know, I talked about a failure.
• 1:06:46
[SPEAKER_06]: Jason Garrett was not a failure in Dallas.
• 1:06:48
[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, he had some very successful seasons.
• 1:06:50
[SPEAKER_06]: They didn't achieve in the way that people wanted him to.
• 1:06:52
[SPEAKER_06]: And I can't imagine what coaching underneath
• 1:06:55
[SPEAKER_06]: Jerry Jones has to be like, you know, that, that, that has to be a very toxic situation or certainly at least a very difficult one.
• 1:07:05
[SPEAKER_06]: That would be a guy, and I'm not advocating for that.
• 1:07:08
[SPEAKER_06]: But if the dolphins were to make a change, and he was a name that, that became adventurous, I would think that would be an interesting guy to explore.
• 1:07:15
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, no, no, no.
• 1:07:17
[SPEAKER_01]: You're ready to come in and seize those strawberries, yeah.
• 1:07:21
  [SPEAKER_06]: I love that.
• 1:07:23
[SPEAKER_06]: David said he was ready to run through a wall after that episode.
• 1:07:26
  [SPEAKER_02]: What about you?
• 1:07:27
  [SPEAKER_06]: I'm rooting.
• 1:07:28
[SPEAKER_02]: I see Gruden on there.
• 1:07:28
  [SPEAKER_06]: What about Gruden?
• 1:07:30
[SPEAKER_06]: So Gruden, thank you very much for throwing that one in there.
• 1:07:33
[SPEAKER_06]: I got to touch it.
• 1:07:34
[SPEAKER_06]: So if we were just in a vacuum talking about coaching acumen.
• 1:07:41
[SPEAKER_06]: I think John Gruden would be, John Gruden was a super bowl winning head coach.
• 1:07:46
[SPEAKER_06]: Grant had Tony, John, he built up a team, and then he took that team and was able to get them over the hump, but he also was building a good team with the Raiders.
• 1:07:54
[SPEAKER_06]: I think John Gruden is probably a really good head coach, but there's this whole other thing.
• 1:08:01
  [SPEAKER_06]: that you cannot ignore.
• 1:08:03
[SPEAKER_06]: We cannot just because time is passed, just because he's an absolute blast to follow on Twitter and the stuff he's doing with barstools, fabulous.
• 1:08:12
[SPEAKER_06]: You can't ignore the things that he wrote in those emails, you know?
• 1:08:20
[SPEAKER_06]: And so, and forget what I think, 53 guys in that locker room, and however many men on that coaching staff, many of whom,
• 1:08:30
[SPEAKER_06]: Our men of color would have to you know would have to be able to go to work there and know in the back of their mind that those things were always said whether or not it was fair for the NFL to release them they it has been released the emails were written and you can't just shake that off yeah does that mean I don't know you know me guys we play with that we know how those same feelings of me
• 1:08:56
[SPEAKER_06]: Well, so that's why I wanted to ask you.
• 1:08:58
[SPEAKER_06]: And so I'm just saying that you can't ignore that.
• 1:09:00
[SPEAKER_06]: You can't just pretend those things didn't happen.
• 1:09:03
[SPEAKER_06]: But I'm glad you asked that question, because it's a more relevant question for you than it is for me.
• 1:09:09
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and I, you know, I think no matter what, we're going a lot around with a bunch of guys that we don't, we don't, all we want to do is win it.
• 1:09:17
[SPEAKER_02]: Honestly, all we do, all we win, we ain't got to go home with anybody, we ain't got to go to dinner with anybody, we ain't, you know, we want to be the person that gives the best chance to winning.
• 1:09:25
[SPEAKER_02]: And honestly, just treating you and I have no evidence.
• 1:09:30
[SPEAKER_02]: I felt Jimmy had the same feelings, you know what I mean?
• 1:09:34
  [SPEAKER_02]: And that's just me.
• 1:09:34
[SPEAKER_02]: That's just my personal feelings, man.
• 1:09:36
[SPEAKER_02]: Just the way I thought that he was.
• 1:09:37
[SPEAKER_02]: And I have no evidence to that.
• 1:09:39
[SPEAKER_02]: I just don't want to like the guy, but I think that's part of the reason I don't like you because he just had that that feels to me.
• 1:09:46
[SPEAKER_02]: And I have no evidence to that.
• 1:09:47
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not trying to slander to the man.
• 1:09:49
[SPEAKER_02]: But at the same time, no, me and hell.
• 1:09:51
[SPEAKER_02]: We see guys now on football teams.
• 1:09:55
  [SPEAKER_02]: are that way.
• 1:09:56
[SPEAKER_02]: And people still they line up next to them and they go to work and they go home.
• 1:10:01
[SPEAKER_06]: So yeah, so it's an interesting dynamic.
• 1:10:04
[SPEAKER_06]: And I guess what I'm hearing from you is, if you were playing for the Miami Dolphins and you felt that John Gruden was going to make the football team better that you would go to work and do your job.
• 1:10:15
[SPEAKER_06]: Correct, and you would be okay with it.
• 1:10:16
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, well, what is what what the guys on the team right now I'm gonna do on the contrary.
• 1:10:21
  [SPEAKER_02]: You know, I'm out.
• 1:10:22
  [SPEAKER_02]: You know, I'm out.
• 1:10:23
[SPEAKER_06]: But are you gonna get the best out of them?
• 1:10:25
  [SPEAKER_06]: Are they gonna?
• 1:10:25
  [SPEAKER_06]: Are they gonna?
• 1:10:26
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm gonna feel away and and so and yes you will get the best out because you're out there playing for you for your old Mighty dollar bro.
• 1:10:32
[SPEAKER_02]: You're out there playing for your old Mighty dollar man no matter what no matter Who's calling the plays no matter who the head man is when if you get on the field man?
• 1:10:39
[SPEAKER_02]: It's all about it's all about you know getting shit
• 1:10:43
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it's just like you were saying set these guys.
• 1:10:45
  [SPEAKER_01]: They're they're not planned to lose.
• 1:10:46
  [SPEAKER_01]: They want to win.
• 1:10:47
  [SPEAKER_01]: I agree.
• 1:10:48
  [SPEAKER_01]: I agree.
• 1:10:48
  [SPEAKER_01]: I agree.
• 1:10:48
[SPEAKER_01]: And we've all had bosses.
• 1:10:48
[SPEAKER_01]: We didn't get who didn't agree with.
• 1:10:50
[SPEAKER_01]: It didn't get along with.
• 1:10:51
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 1:10:51
[SPEAKER_01]: You got to show up and go to work.
• 1:10:52
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 1:10:52
  [SPEAKER_02]: And I ain't, and I ain't, and I ain't, and I ain't, and I ain't, and I ain't, and I ain't, and I ain't, and I ain't, and I ain't, and I ain't, and I ain't, and I ain't, and I ain't, and I ain't, and I ain't, and I ain't, and I ain't, and I ain't, and I ain't, and I ain't, and I ain't, and I ain't, and I ain't, and I ain't, and I ain't, and I ain't, and I ain't,
• 1:11:03
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, a veteran group of guys that they could talk to a little bit.
• 1:11:06
[SPEAKER_02]: I doubt they'll help in the process.
• 1:11:09
[SPEAKER_02]: Look, we're talking about this shit, man.
• 1:11:11
  [SPEAKER_02]: Mike's not going anywhere.
• 1:11:12
[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
• 1:11:13
[SPEAKER_02]: Mike's not going anywhere yet.
• 1:11:15
  [SPEAKER_02]: So that's the week.
• 1:11:16
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Mike's not going anywhere yet, man.
• 1:11:18
[SPEAKER_02]: But if somewhere to happen with Mike, then these are all great questions and all solid candidates that's definitely some guys that talk about.
• 1:11:26
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I mean, that is probably the most fair part of it is like we're talking about.
• 1:11:30
[SPEAKER_06]: Although we've seen this organization try to hire a coach when they had a coach on staff.
• 1:11:35
[SPEAKER_06]: So, right, see what, as well, who's that Lenny Kravitz looking to do?
• 1:11:40
  [SPEAKER_06]: He's a
• 1:11:41
  [SPEAKER_06]: He's happy.
• 1:11:42
  [SPEAKER_06]: That's pro.
• 1:11:43
  [SPEAKER_06]: I dig it.
• 1:11:44
  [SPEAKER_06]: That's the voc.
• 1:11:45
[SPEAKER_06]: It's the legendary Savoc, man.
• 1:11:46
[SPEAKER_06]: You don't know the voc.
• 1:11:47
[SPEAKER_06]: You need to go see Savoc.
• 1:11:48
[SPEAKER_06]: You got to raise your profile again.
• 1:11:50
[SPEAKER_06]: He was the the daily dad joke guy and he's the producer for the fish tank.
• 1:11:55
  [SPEAKER_06]: So he's our guy.
• 1:11:56
  [SPEAKER_06]: That's a voc.
• 1:11:57
  [SPEAKER_06]: There was something else.
• 1:11:57
  [SPEAKER_06]: Okay, M. G. Olivia.
• 1:11:59
[SPEAKER_06]: Is that like another handle for Michael Olivia?
• 1:12:01
  [SPEAKER_06]: I don't know.
• 1:12:02
[SPEAKER_06]: Steven Ross is the founder of Rise.
• 1:12:04
[SPEAKER_06]: If he hires Groot and it's bad optics.
• 1:12:06
[SPEAKER_06]: So there are the optics element that you have to deal with
• 1:12:09
[SPEAKER_06]: I think some people might say Steven Ross's mind himself with other people too and you know ultimately he's going to make a decision that he's going to be Ross, they're fundraising for Donald Trump, you know, it's house, come on, I mean it doesn't it
• 1:12:22
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, so I think if he decides that's the guy he wants, but what I will say is that John Gruden was also in a lawsuit with the National Football League, and that might be the biggest issue that he has of getting another job as a head coach of an NFL team, because
• 1:12:41
[SPEAKER_06]: we know how the shield and how the owners, right?
• 1:12:46
[SPEAKER_06]: It's a franchise franchise order like, you know, we know how they operate and if, if collectively, they don't, they don't think, you know,
• 1:12:54
[SPEAKER_06]: that he belongs back in the league, and that's going to be a tough or not to crack.
• 1:12:59
  [SPEAKER_06]: Richard.
• 1:13:00
[SPEAKER_06]: So that's my, Mike Tice.
• 1:13:02
  [SPEAKER_06]: There's a name I haven't heard in a minute.
• 1:13:04
  [SPEAKER_06]: Mike Tice there.
• 1:13:05
[SPEAKER_06]: So, well, hey, good stuff.
• 1:13:06
[SPEAKER_06]: It was awesome to have Dudley got a really good chat.
• 1:13:10
[SPEAKER_06]: I didn't bring my good keyboard here, so I did my best to be involved.
• 1:13:15
[SPEAKER_06]: I'm trying to think if there's anything else I said we'd be answering questions or there are any other good questions that we miss because we gotten to a pretty good juice.
• 1:13:22
[SPEAKER_06]: I wish Dave wants that gave a chance to Quentin Spotwood back in the day.
• 1:13:26
[SPEAKER_06]: What an athlete who never got a chance.
• 1:13:28
  [SPEAKER_06]: I don't know that I remember him.
• 1:13:30
  [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I don't think I do either.
• 1:13:31
[SPEAKER_06]: I guess Ddubs didn't give me all the chance.
• 1:13:35
[SPEAKER_06]: I got to go back and look at what I said.
• 1:13:36
[SPEAKER_02]: We ran into a lot of big time athletes on that team that weren't, I don't even know, I won't say smart enough, but just couldn't get on the field for a lot of different reasons.
• 1:13:47
[SPEAKER_06]: for a lot of different reasons, absolutely.
• 1:13:49
[SPEAKER_06]: The boys working overtime tonight.
• 1:13:51
[SPEAKER_06]: We are dive bar, we are, man.
• 1:13:53
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, sometimes you just got to get after it.
• 1:13:55
[SPEAKER_06]: So that being said, that might be our, I don't know if that was a last call.
• 1:13:59
[SPEAKER_06]: Was that a dive bar last call?
• 1:14:00
[SPEAKER_06]: I was telling this to you.
• 1:14:01
[SPEAKER_06]: You ain't got to go home, but you sure's not going to get out of here.
• 1:14:04
[SPEAKER_06]: Hey, really quickly, I want to bring this up, and I probably closed it out.
• 1:14:09
[SPEAKER_06]: So we haven't hit the charts here in the U.S. and quite some time, but we got guys in Mexico.
• 1:14:15
[SPEAKER_06]: I know Emilio was in here earlier, Honduras, Panama, Sweden, Japan.
• 1:14:20
[SPEAKER_06]: We've been hitting all of the times.
• 1:14:22
[SPEAKER_02]: Killing Honduras, we're killing it in Honduras.
• 1:14:25
[SPEAKER_06]: I love telling Travis when we're whipping his ass and somewhere like Honduras.
• 1:14:29
[SPEAKER_06]: So for anybody who's in any one of these countries that's been supporting us, thank you for it's one of the coolest things for me when we started this podcast was
• 1:14:40
[SPEAKER_06]: getting on those apps and seeing those little red dots all over the globe man.
• 1:14:46
[SPEAKER_06]: And like there's two people in Indonesia, listen to the fish tank and me and juice going at it about whether or not, you know, he got the red carpet rolled out for him as a first on graphic.
• 1:14:57
[SPEAKER_06]: Like so, so again, just really appreciate everybody who's here in the chat, really appreciate everybody from wherever you are in the world that you continue to dive in.
• 1:15:06
[SPEAKER_06]: If you haven't listened to the Jeff's Canina episode, check that one out.
• 1:15:10
[SPEAKER_06]: If you don't remember Jeff, he was a grizzly grumpy SOB and we loved him for it and he doesn't back down from it.
• 1:15:18
[SPEAKER_06]: We named the episode, Jeff's Canina, we were a bunch of degenerates and he texted me and said, I love the title, it's perfect.
• 1:15:24
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, so that's all you need to know about Jeff.
• 1:15:26
  [SPEAKER_06]: It was absolutely right.
• 1:15:27
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what they also need to know is this do raises Roses rodeo bucking booze bucking booze Man talking about that.
• 1:15:38
[SPEAKER_02]: I couldn't wait to get it in that part of it.
• 1:15:40
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you were so excited about that Yeah, yeah, I go like we are very there.
• 1:15:44
  [SPEAKER_02]: I've been a PDR a few times now.
• 1:15:45
[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm about man with you know pro bull riding now big set.
• 1:15:48
  [SPEAKER_02]: You know me, though
• 1:15:50
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, you definitely are man.
• 1:15:52
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, raising bucking bulls, showing dogs.
• 1:15:55
  [SPEAKER_06]: I mean, uh, he's a true renaissance man.
• 1:15:58
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he's just, you know.
• 1:16:00
  [SPEAKER_02]: Too good.
• 1:16:00
  [SPEAKER_02]: Too good.
• 1:16:01
[SPEAKER_02]: Just get us out of here, man.
• 1:16:02
  [SPEAKER_02]: Everybody.
• 1:16:03
[SPEAKER_02]: Thanks for diving in everybody.
• 1:16:09
[SPEAKER_04]: Sitting down with self-living, I'll change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change, change
