A man died in Winnipeg after a tense police confrontation that began when his brother called 911 twice—first reporting erratic behavior and threats, then saying his brother was yelling through a window. Officers arrived but couldn’t enter the home. When the man emerged armed with a knife, an officer fired, critically wounding him. Despite emergency efforts, he died.
