Transcript
- 0:19SPEAKER_01: You're listening to the Objective Jerk and I am said jerk.
- 0:23SPEAKER_01: How's everybody doing?
- 0:24SPEAKER_01: Welcome to the podcast where the the view changes in every single episode, apparently.
- 0:33SPEAKER_01: It's never the same.
- 0:35SPEAKER_01: Now you got my boom all like up in there.
- 0:37SPEAKER_01: I guess I could put something right there, huh?
- 0:40SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 0:41SPEAKER_01: Anyway.
- 0:43SPEAKER_01: What's up?
- 0:44SPEAKER_01: How's everybody doing?
- 0:47SPEAKER_01: Hope everybody's doing good.
- 0:49SPEAKER_01: It's hot as balls here, but it's that's that's supposed to.
- 0:52SPEAKER_01: That's you know, that's when it's hot.
- 0:54SPEAKER_01: Summertime here.
- 0:55SPEAKER_01: Summertime's a little sooner here, as opposed to in the states.
- 1:03SPEAKER_01: Then rainy season's gonna be starting about a month from now, I think.
- 1:07SPEAKER_01: It still gets hot though, that's what sucks.
- 1:09SPEAKER_01: I mean, it's not as hot.
- 1:11SPEAKER_01: The temperature is not as hot, but the humidity makes it feel like it is, so it may as well be.
- 1:21SPEAKER_01: But then you got rain.
- 1:25SPEAKER_01: And it always kind of like starts off in the morning.
- 1:31SPEAKER_01: I can't remember, like it always starts off in the morning or in the evening, like every evening it'll rain a little bit, or and then it changes, and towards the end it's in the morning or something like that.
- 1:40SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 1:42SPEAKER_01: But so I've been working on my my yard in the front trying to get things organized.
- 1:51SPEAKER_01: So my wife, she likes plants, but she's not the best at keeping them.
- 1:56SPEAKER_01: Man, my camera's a little I'm like way over here.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: Maybe I should change that just a little bit.
- 2:05SPEAKER_00: Like, is that a little better?
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: Maybe, yeah, so then it's not okay.
- 2:12SPEAKER_01: That's probably better right there.
- 2:14SPEAKER_01: Anyway, you know, she likes plants.
- 2:16SPEAKER_01: I I've talked about how Filipinos like their plants, but they're not very organized.
- 2:21SPEAKER_01: At least my wife's not very organized, and I kind of see the same kind of stuff with other people, but so I've you know, my wife's busy and and she I was watering the plants more, so I was like, you know what?
- 2:35SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna organize this crap.
- 2:37SPEAKER_01: I didn't know which plants were which, so I'm learning which plants need to have some sun, no sun, a lot of sun, whatever, watering, you know, this and that.
- 2:46SPEAKER_01: And I'm moving them around the yard and trying to find the best place for them and just make it look a little more organized and so on and so forth, right?
- 2:55SPEAKER_01: And in doing that, I ordered, I ordered, I downloaded an app for you know, plants and stuff, planty.
- 3:05SPEAKER_01: And which is a cool app because you know, you scan the plant, you add it to your garden, it tells you if it's good, if it's not healthy, what you need to do, this and that, and blah blah blah.
- 3:23SPEAKER_01: But it doesn't it doesn't have like a setting, at least I haven't found it yet.
- 3:28SPEAKER_01: I've tried, it doesn't have like a region setting, you know what I mean?
- 3:33SPEAKER_01: So plants here, the care is gonna be different than like let's say in the states, where this app is probably used a lot.
- 3:44SPEAKER_01: So, because I was I was taking pictures of some of my plants and stuff like that, and it was like water every seven days.
- 3:50SPEAKER_01: Every seven I'm like, what?
- 3:52SPEAKER_01: Every seven days?
- 3:53SPEAKER_01: That doesn't seem right, you know.
- 3:55SPEAKER_01: I was like, maybe I'll try every three days.
- 3:59SPEAKER_01: Let's see that.
- 4:00SPEAKER_01: And even then, some of the plants were like last night I I I I noticed that they were like not doing so great, and I'm like, man, hasn't it even been?
- 4:09SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, seven days?
- 4:10SPEAKER_01: What is this thing?
- 4:11SPEAKER_01: So then I I I looked up another app that lets you pick your region, but then it wouldn't it would tell you the plant, and that's kind of it.
- 4:24SPEAKER_01: It wouldn't give you care instructions, or it was you know what I mean.
- 4:30SPEAKER_01: So, like the other app is really good on you know helping care for your plants and whatever, but it's giving me the wrong tips, you know.
- 4:43SPEAKER_01: I don't know, maybe I'm just not using it right.
- 4:45SPEAKER_01: I'll still I'll use it a little more, but it's like I'm trying to, I mean, I'm I kinda know, I guess, but I was like I was I took a picture of it and I'm trying to figure out if I'm overwatering it or it's getting too much sun.
- 4:59SPEAKER_01: And I think I'm I've kind of figured it out.
- 5:02SPEAKER_01: So, yeah, dealing with that, right?
- 5:05SPEAKER_01: So this morning, I'm trying to do at least pretty much every morning, just go out there, pick up dog poop, you know, and just do a little bit, check some plants, water them, move them around, whatever.
- 5:20SPEAKER_01: And so right when I'm getting done, my son comes out and he's like, hey, he's like, there's a there's a mouse or a rat in the house.
- 5:30SPEAKER_01: And I was like, Well, get Gigi, my one cat that likes to kill things.
- 5:34SPEAKER_01: I've talked about her before.
- 5:36SPEAKER_01: And so I was like, Well, she's she's already whatever, and I'm like, okay, well, just you know, take care of it, you know.
- 5:46SPEAKER_01: Maybe I should have given him a little more instruction.
- 5:48SPEAKER_01: But so I finished watering the plants and stuff, and then I come in, and then I see my doors closed, and I'm like, what's going on?
- 5:56SPEAKER_01: Why is my door closed?
- 5:57SPEAKER_01: Because I have my door open.
- 5:58SPEAKER_01: Usually my door is closed, but I have it open right now because my AC has been out of commission.
- 6:04SPEAKER_01: So I'm pulling air from the house, AC from the house, and bringing it in my room, so I got like fans kind of, you know.
- 6:10SPEAKER_01: So I was like, why is my door closed?
- 6:12SPEAKER_01: And he's like, Well, the rat's in there.
- 6:13SPEAKER_01: I'm like, Well, what do you mean?
- 6:14SPEAKER_01: Get the rat out.
- 6:15SPEAKER_01: What's going on, you know?
- 6:17SPEAKER_01: And then so I opened the door, and like both the cats are kind of like my killer cat, Gigi, she's like trying to paw at like underneath this like end table for the back of a couch.
- 6:30SPEAKER_01: Actually, it's a nice table.
- 6:32SPEAKER_01: I've had it for a long time, actually, since 2007.
- 6:38SPEAKER_01: But and I'm like, what's going on?
- 6:40SPEAKER_01: He's like, Well, I think the the mouse is there.
- 6:42SPEAKER_01: I I I got it out before, and then they they they just keep knocking it in there.
- 6:47SPEAKER_01: And so, for those that don't know, my cat Gigi, she likes to take things from outside and bring them in the house, a lot of times still alive, and then plays with them, throws them around, whether alive or not.
- 6:58SPEAKER_01: I don't want you know mice and rats in my, you know.
- 7:02SPEAKER_01: So I was like, oh my gosh.
- 7:04SPEAKER_01: So then I I get this little hiking pole, and I go in there and I'm like moving it around, thinking, you know, try and push the mouse out, and I push it out, and it's this huge fucking rat, man.
- 7:15SPEAKER_01: It's like huge.
- 7:17SPEAKER_01: And I it almost scared me for a second because it was still alive, but it was injured, you know.
- 7:22SPEAKER_01: And I was like, holy crap, I mean, this this rat is like about half the size of the cat, my killer cat, because she's not that big of a cat.
- 7:30SPEAKER_01: And I was just like, Jesus, you know, and so then I'm like, dude, why is and he's like, I don't know, you know, teenage son.
- 7:40SPEAKER_01: And the funny thing is, this kid is so analyzing retentive about his bedroom, but he doesn't give a shit about the rest of the house or anything, you know what I mean?
- 7:50SPEAKER_01: It's like, dude, if you would take care of the house or look at the house the same way you do your room, you know, it's like, come on, would you want this in your room?
- 7:59SPEAKER_01: No, I'm like, well, I don't want it in my room or the house.
- 8:01SPEAKER_01: What the what are you doing?
- 8:04SPEAKER_01: So it's still alive.
- 8:07SPEAKER_01: I tell him to go get some paper towel so I can grab the rat by the tail to get rid of it.
- 8:14SPEAKER_01: And it's still alive, but it can't move.
- 8:16SPEAKER_01: So it got the the rat was paralyzed.
- 8:18SPEAKER_01: It looked like the hind, you know, the cat heard it, so it was paralyzed and it couldn't move, but it was still alive.
- 8:25SPEAKER_01: Or it couldn't, like it seemed like it's front.
- 8:27SPEAKER_01: It was trying.
- 8:28SPEAKER_01: I felt a little bad, but it was a big ass rat, man.
- 8:32SPEAKER_01: God, he's all like, oh, the mouse.
- 8:33SPEAKER_01: And it's like, I'm thinking, you know, like a mouse, but this thing was big.
- 8:38SPEAKER_01: And so this cat likes to so I am you know, there's this the road I live off is like this road that goes up into the mountains and everything, right?
- 8:51SPEAKER_01: And all the fields are like, and then the fields are the farmlands are all like you know, a meter, two meters lower than the farmlands, you know.
- 9:02SPEAKER_01: So like when they built the road, they had to build it up, you know.
- 9:08SPEAKER_01: And then all the houses are built up as well.
- 9:12SPEAKER_01: So, and that's because like when typhoons come, there's a there's a stream or a little river and it'll flood.
- 9:18SPEAKER_01: So then all the farmland around my property, and all the houses, it looks like so.
- 9:24SPEAKER_01: I have like lakeside property for a day, you know what I mean?
- 9:28SPEAKER_01: Because the water fills up, so all the houses have to be built up on their foundations or whatever, right?
- 9:33SPEAKER_01: So if you look out like outside my property, my wall, you know, the the ground for the the farming ground is much lower.
- 9:43SPEAKER_01: Okay, I'm trying to paint a picture.
- 9:44SPEAKER_01: I don't know if I'm doing a very good job.
- 9:47SPEAKER_01: But so when my this cat would bring in creatures, I would grab it, and I'd usually they're dead, and I would toss it over the side into the field.
- 9:59SPEAKER_01: Well, she would go and find it and she would bring it back and throw it around in the house.
- 10:03SPEAKER_01: So I'm like, what the crap, man?
- 10:05SPEAKER_01: So I started flushing them.
- 10:07SPEAKER_01: So I would flush the mouse.
- 10:09SPEAKER_01: So I was same thing with this rat, right?
- 10:11SPEAKER_01: But it's a big ass rat, you know, so I was a little worried it wasn't gonna go down.
- 10:17SPEAKER_01: I thought about it for a minute, maybe digging a hole, but it's like I don't want to dig a damn hole for this rat.
- 10:22SPEAKER_01: Plus, it's still alive, I don't feel like killing it.
- 10:24SPEAKER_01: You know, I can drown it, and then, you know, good to go.
- 10:28SPEAKER_01: I guess I should have done a disclaimer for animal lovers.
- 10:31SPEAKER_01: I like animals too, you know, but I don't want critters and pests and stuff in my house.
- 10:35SPEAKER_01: Anyway, and plus I was, you know, if it was like still alive and whatever, I would have grabbed it by the tail and I would have tossed it over and it would have ran off or whatever.
- 10:45SPEAKER_01: But it was, you know, it wasn't gonna live.
- 10:47SPEAKER_01: It was it was injured.
- 10:49SPEAKER_01: It was obvious.
- 10:50SPEAKER_01: And I didn't want to like cut its head off or bash its face, you know what I mean?
- 10:54SPEAKER_01: It was like, so I'm thinking drowning, and I was like, okay, so I usually flush, and I'm like, nah, is he gonna make is this thing gonna flush?
- 11:01SPEAKER_01: So, but anyway, so I stick it in there and it I stuck it, you know, because I had the tail, so it went ahead first, but then it kind of came up, and you could see it was trying to swim.
- 11:10SPEAKER_01: Its head was up, and so I hit flush, and it took a second, and then you know, it went down.
- 11:16SPEAKER_01: But then so then I filled up a little bucket of water to pour in there to kind of just you know, and it for a second there it looked like it did clog it, but it did go through.
- 11:27SPEAKER_01: And I even filled up another bucket and poured it down in there just to make sure.
- 11:31SPEAKER_01: So that was my morning.
- 11:33SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 11:35SPEAKER_01: Good times.
- 11:37SPEAKER_00: Good times, jeez.
- 11:39SPEAKER_01: Anyway, so I mean, you know, this cat is a beast, literally.
- 11:48SPEAKER_01: She's always getting stuff, and ever since we've had her, the rat mice problems have been non-existent, basically, so I try not to get, you know, I try to like, oh, good job, good job, because I want her to keep, you know, killing pests.
- 12:08SPEAKER_01: I just don't like her bringing them into the house.
- 12:11SPEAKER_01: She's gonna bring them in and like, check it out.
- 12:13SPEAKER_01: And she like plays with it and throws it up in there.
- 12:16SPEAKER_01: It's like, hey, good job.
- 12:17SPEAKER_01: Okay, now get it out of my house, you freaking cat.
- 12:21SPEAKER_01: But yeah, so I mean, and you know, lots of cats do that, and it's not like it's only something that happens here, but she's not that big of a cat, you know.
- 12:33SPEAKER_01: She doesn't, and she's very sweet, you know.
- 12:36SPEAKER_01: She likes she doesn't seem like a killer, but man, she is a mass murderer.
- 12:43SPEAKER_01: And then the other cat I have, she's pregnant.
- 12:46SPEAKER_01: She's about to pop any day now.
- 12:47SPEAKER_01: I'm so pissed.
- 12:50SPEAKER_01: So now I'm gonna have to deal with that.
- 12:52SPEAKER_01: Figure out whatever.
- 12:54SPEAKER_01: Probably keep one of her kittens.
- 12:57SPEAKER_01: Because she's a big female, and the Tom that I'm fairly certain got her pregnant.
- 13:03SPEAKER_01: He's a big cat, too, so I'm like, uh, hopefully keep keep one of the males, get him neutered, get her fixed as soon as I can.
- 13:11SPEAKER_01: That's what sucks, is you can't fix them too early after they give.
- 13:15SPEAKER_01: Gosh, man.
- 13:16SPEAKER_01: See, we got the other one.
- 13:17SPEAKER_01: I don't know, it's just such a pain in the ass.
- 13:20SPEAKER_01: But if I can get her spayed as soon as I can, and then one of the kittens gets neutered and have a male, two females, all fixed, no worries.
- 13:33SPEAKER_01: That's the plan.
- 13:34SPEAKER_01: But man, I've been dealing with this since we've got here, you know, like a couple months after we moved here.
- 13:40SPEAKER_01: I remember I found a little kitten in the market and I took it home, and he was my first cat.
- 13:47SPEAKER_01: Didn't get him neutered in time.
- 13:49SPEAKER_01: He disappeared, you know, running off as Tom cats do, and whatever.
- 13:54SPEAKER_01: Anyway, I've talked about it before, but it's just like, man, it's just like a revolving door of cats.
- 13:59SPEAKER_01: And then my the one I had for a while, a female who was fixed, she disappeared too.
- 14:05SPEAKER_01: So I'm just like, son of a bitch.
- 14:08SPEAKER_01: So I don't know if, you know, she got ran off, she got killed by other cats.
- 14:14SPEAKER_01: I don't know if that's I know males will fight and males will take out small cats, kittens, or something.
- 14:21SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 14:22SPEAKER_01: I'm not a I seem to get a lot of comments, though, and replies when I talk about my cats.
- 14:28SPEAKER_01: So we'll see.
- 14:29SPEAKER_01: Anyway, I don't really have a whole lot of bullets though, but there was just like two things that I did put on here.
- 14:37SPEAKER_01: So which one do I want to do first?
- 14:40SPEAKER_01: So I talked about my cat.
- 14:41SPEAKER_01: So I'll do this one.
- 14:42SPEAKER_00: So there was this is the kind of crap that kind of bugs me.
- 14:52SPEAKER_00: Is I'm I gotta get a picture so I can read it.
- 14:55SPEAKER_00: Or get my pictures.
- 14:56SPEAKER_00: Where's that?
- 14:57SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 14:58SPEAKER_01: I know I took okay, here we go.
- 15:00SPEAKER_01: So I saw somebody was talking about this.
- 15:02SPEAKER_01: So NBC News posted this on I think X, Twitter, whatever.
- 15:08SPEAKER_00: It's hard to say.
- 15:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think so.
- 15:11SPEAKER_00: Anyway.
- 15:14SPEAKER_01: So this is what they what they said.
- 15:17SPEAKER_01: Kyle Rittenhaus, who gained fame for opening fire at a 2020 civil rights rally in Wisconsin, was hospitalized after he was bitten by a venomous spider, the noted firearms enthusiast says.
- 15:36SPEAKER_01: So the way they this is this is why nobody nobody trusts mainstream media anymore for crap like this.
- 15:49SPEAKER_01: Look at the way they said this.
- 15:50SPEAKER_01: Kyle Rittenhouse, who gained fame for opening fire at a civil rights rally.
- 15:57SPEAKER_01: That is nowhere near what happened.
- 16:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah, maybe they kind of started as a civil rights, oh, let me see, civil rights rally.
- 16:07SPEAKER_01: But they were straight up riots, you know, buildings burned, people killed, mass destruction, you know.
- 16:19SPEAKER_01: And he did not open fire, he was attacked, he was defending himself.
- 16:27SPEAKER_01: I mean, it's in like video, you can see the whole thing happen.
- 16:31SPEAKER_01: You can see the whole thing go down.
- 16:32SPEAKER_01: He gets attacked by some pedophile dipshit who was just released out of a mental hospital, somebody that had a pistol.
- 16:41SPEAKER_01: You know, I'm I've talked about before, so I'm not gonna get into it too much, but it's like it's blatantly obvious to anybody who has eyes.
- 16:50SPEAKER_01: If you watch the drone footage and all the stuff, he was just doing his thing, he was getting picked on, he got attacked, and he defended himself.
- 16:59SPEAKER_01: They chased him around, and he defended himself.
- 17:02SPEAKER_01: It wasn't he opened fire to civil it's like what?
- 17:08SPEAKER_01: So when you see crap like this, and it's like it's harder for this crap to for them to get away with it because of the footage, the drone, the cell phones, all that stuff.
- 17:22SPEAKER_01: But it makes you wonder just how accurate all the the big stories back in the day, all the all the civil rights, you know, from the 60s and all, you know, when it was talking about, you know, oh they all this kind of stuff happened, all the stuff they would teach, and all this kind of whatever.
- 17:45SPEAKER_01: Oh, this is what all the how much of that is actually accurate and true, you know?
- 17:52SPEAKER_01: Like it's and apparently a lot of it is made up bullshit.
- 18:00SPEAKER_01: So I kind of went down like a rabbit hole, not really a rabbit hole, but I I you know, just looking up some stuff and whatever, and man, what's his name?
- 18:12SPEAKER_01: I did watch a video.
- 18:16SPEAKER_00: And I think he references that exact post too.
- 18:21SPEAKER_01: And this guy's he's he's on the I know I say I don't watch the Daily Wire, and I don't, but I watch this guy, and I don't watch him all the time.
- 18:31SPEAKER_01: Sometimes I get tired of watching headlines and and politics and all that crap.
- 18:36SPEAKER_01: Matt Walsh.
- 18:37SPEAKER_01: So he does videos on various things, and so then he was talking about, and he he was talking about the same thing, but he talked about it much.
- 18:47SPEAKER_01: I mean, he had a whole like 30-minute video on it, and it was you know, and he goes on to show and prove like how a lot of that the information or the headlines and what is taught was actually all bullshit, and it's it's very eye-opening.
- 19:12SPEAKER_01: I mean, it's not like you know, oh my gosh, they completely lied.
- 19:17SPEAKER_01: It wasn't like made-up stories, but it was just just like this Kyle Rittenhouse.
- 19:22SPEAKER_01: They just kind of change a little bit to make so like 20 years from now, they're gonna teach in schools, liberal schools.
- 19:31SPEAKER_01: Oh, here is this guy, you know, during the during the George Floyd civil rights rallies, this guy ch brandished a an a machine gun, and you know what I mean?
- 19:43SPEAKER_01: Like it's just like what the fuck, you know?
- 19:45SPEAKER_01: It's I don't know.
- 19:46SPEAKER_01: And but it just does kind of make you wonder.
- 19:51SPEAKER_01: It just makes you realize just how full of shit and wrong and fake and everything our our history is, you know.
- 20:02SPEAKER_01: And most of it's, you know, stuff that I because like I grew up it works though, you know what I mean?
- 20:08SPEAKER_01: Because like I talk about all the time how I grew up basically liberal, and you know, I believed all that stuff.
- 20:14SPEAKER_01: I believe the Indians were were just a bunch of hippies that lived off the land and they loved everybody, and it's like no, they were violent as hell, you know, and and just all that crap, all that bullshit that is spoon-fed about, you know, it's all created to to divide us, you know.
- 20:41SPEAKER_00: Communism, man.
- 20:46SPEAKER_01: Freemasons You know, it's like cause like racism was w non-existent, basically.
- 20:55SPEAKER_01: I'm not saying that nobody wasn't racist, but early 2000s, man, it was like nobody cared about race anymore, everybody was friends with everybody, you know?
- 21:07SPEAKER_01: And then all of a sudden it just comes back again.
- 21:09SPEAKER_01: Hmm.
- 21:10SPEAKER_01: It's kind of crazy.
- 21:12SPEAKER_01: People like it never left.
- 21:15SPEAKER_01: Whatever, dude.
- 21:15SPEAKER_01: It was no.
- 21:17SPEAKER_01: Again, yeah, are there people who are racist or whatever, yeah.
- 21:21SPEAKER_00: But it's not people aren't really racist though.
- 21:24SPEAKER_00: They're just they're what's the word?
- 21:33SPEAKER_00: It's just you know, they just don't they don't god dang it, what's the word?
- 21:38SPEAKER_01: You just people are tribal, you know, they go with their who who they know.
- 21:43SPEAKER_01: If they experience something with a different kind of people that's negative, it's gonna put a negative connotation on their view of that person or culture or whatever.
- 21:55SPEAKER_01: God, there's a word for it, why can't I whatever?
- 21:57SPEAKER_01: But I don't know, it's just all everything's just such bullshit.
- 22:01SPEAKER_01: But I'm glad that people do notice it and then the mainstream media is just going to shit because of it.
- 22:09SPEAKER_01: Because people are noticing it, you know, even though it's like everybody's got the goldfish memory and and all that crap, but people notice.
- 22:19SPEAKER_01: Like, hold on, what?
- 22:20SPEAKER_01: That's not even what happened.
- 22:22SPEAKER_01: Why, why would they say and they can just be like, oh well, he you know, they just it's just gaslighting, really, you know what I mean?
- 22:29SPEAKER_01: It's like, geez.
- 22:32SPEAKER_01: So I don't know, it's just sad, isn't really what it is.
- 22:36SPEAKER_01: If one word, there was one word, it's just sad.
- 22:42SPEAKER_01: And to caveat that I don't know, now you got the Odyssey or the retardacy.
- 22:51SPEAKER_01: So this Odyssey movie with Christopher Nolan, right?
- 22:57SPEAKER_01: So this is I'm seeing this all over the place now.
- 23:01SPEAKER_01: And it, you know, I like Christopher Nolan.
- 23:06SPEAKER_01: I liked Memento.
- 23:08SPEAKER_01: I own that.
- 23:09SPEAKER_01: Watched it a few times.
- 23:11SPEAKER_01: It's not a movie you can watch all the time, but every couple years, you know.
- 23:15SPEAKER_01: Especially if there's someone new that that you're watching it with that's never seen it.
- 23:23SPEAKER_00: There was that movie with Al Pacino and and Robin Williams.
- 23:30SPEAKER_00: I that I remember Insomnia, something like that.
- 23:36SPEAKER_01: I remember watching it, but I was, I don't know, like I was kind of pre I was preoccupied with something, so I didn't really watch it.
- 23:48SPEAKER_01: And I remember thinking at the time, like I didn't like I don't know, I just have to watch it again.
- 23:52SPEAKER_01: I just and I never have, I haven't watched it again.
- 23:57SPEAKER_01: But I've seen it, but I I don't know, I can't really I can't really say, you know, a good whatever.
- 24:05SPEAKER_01: So following, which is this first one, don't know.
- 24:08SPEAKER_01: Memento, just talked about it.
- 24:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so Insomnia was the second one.
- 24:12SPEAKER_01: And then he did Batman Begins, you know, great comic book movie.
- 24:15SPEAKER_01: The Prestige, awesome movie.
- 24:18SPEAKER_01: I love that movie.
- 24:19SPEAKER_01: The Dark Knight, great movie.
- 24:20SPEAKER_01: Inception, awesome movie.
- 24:23SPEAKER_01: The Dark Knight Rises.
- 24:24SPEAKER_01: A lot of people don't like it.
- 24:26SPEAKER_01: I like it.
- 24:28SPEAKER_01: Interstellar is good for a one-time watch for me.
- 24:34SPEAKER_01: Like, I I wouldn't I wouldn't care to watch it again.
- 24:37SPEAKER_01: Like, it's like you gotta watch it, but that's that one time.
- 24:42SPEAKER_01: Dunkirk is more like what I like, and I've seen it, but I remember kinda being a little underwhelmed with it.
- 24:53SPEAKER_01: I might have to give that one another chance.
- 24:57SPEAKER_01: Tenet, I haven't seen, I haven't heard good things, and Oppenheimer, I watched once it was on Netflix.
- 25:05SPEAKER_01: And again, just like Interstellar, I think it's worth watching, but I don't care to watch it again.
- 25:13SPEAKER_01: It just kind of seemed like I don't know, it kind of seemed like it was glorifying communism a little bit, which I didn't like.
- 25:23SPEAKER_01: I mean, I understand that that was kind of going on, but it's but it's still going on.
- 25:29SPEAKER_01: You know, if you look at everything, it's just like geez.
- 25:34SPEAKER_01: Back then communists, you know, hid.
- 25:36SPEAKER_01: It's just like gay people.
- 25:37SPEAKER_01: People didn't never admit it that they were gay.
- 25:41SPEAKER_01: And now they don't care.
- 25:43SPEAKER_01: Same thing with communism, you know?
- 25:47SPEAKER_00: So now you got the Odyssey.
- 25:50SPEAKER_00: And it's like, what the fuck?
- 25:55SPEAKER_01: Like, why it's just so the first I haven't seen the newest trailer, but I remember like like they it didn't sound epic, you know, the way they talked and everything.
- 26:07SPEAKER_01: It didn't seem like like if you were listening to it and you didn't know what it was, it just like what is you know, it just it doesn't work, you know?
- 26:15SPEAKER_01: And then you have like the people that they cast, and it's like, okay, here's the woke academy ward bullshit.
- 26:25SPEAKER_01: You gotta have you know this and that, and you're so many people that are what colored, you know, that's what they say.
- 26:33SPEAKER_01: Like they have a like a list of check boxes that you have to check, whether it's you know, actors or or or people, I don't know, they have a bunch of shit.
- 26:42SPEAKER_01: I don't I don't know all the details, but and once you have that, then you can be a contender for an Academy Award.
- 26:49SPEAKER_01: But then it's like I think a lot of people are kind of like shocked because okay, you know, Christopher Nolan, he's won Academy Awards.
- 26:59SPEAKER_01: Does he really care to win one again?
- 27:02SPEAKER_01: Is it is he gonna is he gonna change a film so much to make it, you know, to make his film eligible for Academy Award, even though it makes the film worse?
- 27:18SPEAKER_01: And it kind of looks that way, you know?
- 27:21SPEAKER_01: It's they have um like what's her face?
- 27:27SPEAKER_01: I don't know how to say her damn name.
- 27:28SPEAKER_01: I guess I could look it up.
- 27:30SPEAKER_01: Playing Helen of Troy, right?
- 27:33SPEAKER_01: And it's just like come on, man.
- 27:37SPEAKER_01: Lupta Nayi.
- 27:38SPEAKER_01: I don't even know how to say her name.
- 27:40SPEAKER_01: Like, she's like, I'm you know, I like all women.
- 27:43SPEAKER_01: I've been with all women.
- 27:46SPEAKER_01: I don't generally find, you know, white women, I like, you know, ethnic women.
- 27:53SPEAKER_01: I've always been more attracted to, you know, darker women, dark hair, not so much blonde, you know.
- 28:00SPEAKER_01: But Helena Troy, come on, dog.
- 28:04SPEAKER_01: Is like she's a hot Lulimta, whatever.
- 28:09SPEAKER_01: She's attractive, but man, she's not Helena Troy.
- 28:12SPEAKER_01: Like, what's up with that?
- 28:14SPEAKER_01: And then, of course, she got, and then I guess this is just a rumor, but all the rumors that started off as rumors are so far becoming true.
- 28:26SPEAKER_01: But Elliot, Ellen Page, who became Elliot Page, is gonna be supposedly Achilles.
- 28:39SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 28:40SPEAKER_01: It's like, come on, like, are you trying to sabotage your film?
- 28:44SPEAKER_01: It's like they're trying to make it, or they're trying to be like, look at all this stupid retarded bullshit that's going on in Hollywood.
- 28:55SPEAKER_01: Like, they're I don't know if they're trying to test something.
- 28:58SPEAKER_01: Like, hey, if we get Christopher Nolan, who's one of the most popular, powerful, you know, directors right now to make this film and do all this stupid woke gay shit, it'll still be good, and then they can keep they can keep it going.
- 29:14SPEAKER_01: God, I hope this food this film fails.
- 29:17SPEAKER_01: I really do.
- 29:19SPEAKER_01: I mean, it's not gonna do as good as Oppenheimer and whatever, but I hope it really does like just like it's blatantly obvious that it just nobody wants to watch this crap.
- 29:32SPEAKER_01: But it just makes you wonder like what the hell, like what is you know, that's like remaking you know, boys in the hood with a bunch of Hispanic or Asian dudes, or you know what I mean?
- 29:45SPEAKER_01: It's like, come on, like what are you doing?
- 29:48SPEAKER_01: Like, it's just kind of stupid.
- 29:51SPEAKER_01: And so I just recently found out though part of the problem is so the Odyssey, right, was originally written in Greek back in long time ago, back in the day.
- 30:06SPEAKER_01: I'm not a historian, so but like the Bible, it was translated from Greek to English, and you know, when they've done those translations, they've kind of kept a certain style of the way they speak and everything like that.
- 30:27SPEAKER_01: Now, is it exactly like it was written?
- 30:30SPEAKER_01: No, but they kind of had like, you know, when you watched a film, an epic kind of film that took place, you know, whether it's Cleopatra, was that was that the name of the film or whatever, you know, Ben Hur, you had you had you had Spartacus, you know, just all the films.
- 30:54SPEAKER_01: Even even Troy.
- 30:55SPEAKER_01: Troy, which is an awesome film, which is the, you know, the Trojan War, which happens before the Odyssey.
- 31:04SPEAKER_01: But they all had a certain sound to it and everything.
- 31:08SPEAKER_01: The way they spoke, you know, you just kind of knew it was some, you know, epic film that, you know, I don't know.
- 31:17SPEAKER_01: It's like you don't want to watch a film like the Odyssey where they're like, yo, bro, what are you doing?
- 31:25SPEAKER_01: I mean, I'm exaggerating with the bro, but it's not far off.
- 31:30SPEAKER_01: And for all we know, they do say that, you know.
- 31:32SPEAKER_01: It's like this isn't this isn't a Seth Rogan Your Highness film, you know?
- 31:37SPEAKER_01: Like, what's what's what are you doing?
- 31:39SPEAKER_01: This is retarded.
- 31:40SPEAKER_01: But the problem is because I kind of went off track there.
- 31:44SPEAKER_01: So the the the translation that was used was a newer one that was recently done by a liberal like feminist who translated and kind of rewrote it to fit the retarded woke narrative.
- 32:02SPEAKER_01: And that's the that's what he's basing his movie off of.
- 32:07SPEAKER_01: And that's not saying that like her translation has Helena Troy as a black chick, or but there's lots, it's gonna be, you know, masculinity is not all that great, and the women are gonna, you know, I'm just I'm not even gonna watch it, probably.
- 32:23SPEAKER_01: Unless I'll watch it if people I trust who are like me, like, man, this does not look good.
- 32:33SPEAKER_01: But if they come around and be like, oh dude, it's actually way good.
- 32:36SPEAKER_01: It's not like it seemed you need to see this movie.
- 32:40SPEAKER_01: I will watch it, but not until it comes to Netflix.
- 32:44SPEAKER_01: But like, I don't know what you know, it's almost like this is the last ditch effort for Hollywood to try and keep this woke, retarded shit going.
- 32:58SPEAKER_01: That's why I hope it fails.
- 33:00SPEAKER_01: So then it's like, dude, okay, that's it.
- 33:02SPEAKER_01: It doesn't work.
- 33:04SPEAKER_01: Quit doing this retarded shit.
- 33:06SPEAKER_01: I mean, I don't know.
- 33:08SPEAKER_01: It doesn't matter, really.
- 33:10SPEAKER_01: I mean, because Hollywood is just done.
- 33:12SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 33:13SPEAKER_01: But it's just so infuriating, dude.
- 33:16SPEAKER_01: Because it's like I don't get excited about films and stuff very often anymore.
- 33:24SPEAKER_01: But and to be fair, I wasn't really excited about Oppenheimer.
- 33:29SPEAKER_01: It wasn't bad, it was interesting, but like I said, I didn't see Tenant.
- 33:35SPEAKER_01: I don't know, like I guess the last time I yeah, the last time I guess, well, I mean the Dark Knight when that came up, because that was but aside from the Dark Knight trilogy, Interstellar, no, Inception.
- 33:51SPEAKER_01: That's when I was like, oh man, that looks cool, that looks exciting.
- 33:54SPEAKER_01: Like I, you know, I can't believe how old that movie is now.
- 33:57SPEAKER_01: But it's like nothing's as far as Hollywood goes, I just do not get excited.
- 34:02SPEAKER_01: The only like I'm excited for the fight between Gina Carano and Ronda Rousey this weekend.
- 34:09SPEAKER_01: That's gonna be cool.
- 34:10SPEAKER_01: I'm excited to watch that.
- 34:13SPEAKER_01: But as far as Hollywood goes, man, there hasn't been nothing.
- 34:18SPEAKER_01: There is nothing that's I don't think honestly, at my age and my mentality, there's nothing that Hollywood could produce that's gonna get me to go to the theater.
- 34:31SPEAKER_01: I'll just wait for it to be on streaming or whatever, you know.
- 34:36SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 34:37SPEAKER_01: It's some of that is you know, just I don't care to go to the theater anymore.
- 34:43SPEAKER_01: And it's just a lot of it's just because of people and their cell phones and people know how to shut the fuck up.
- 34:51SPEAKER_01: That's part of it, but yeah, it's just trash.
- 34:54SPEAKER_01: And the Odyssey looks and you know, like the the fucking Batman looking, I don't know.
- 35:00SPEAKER_01: Like, you know, some people are like really sticklers for the way, you know, the armor looks.
- 35:05SPEAKER_01: It's like I I kind of want like cool looking armor, you know, you know, it doesn't need to be like authentic to the to the the era because the actual stuff that they wore back then looks stupid to me.
- 35:17SPEAKER_01: But they actually kind of were pretty close in the Troy movie.
- 35:21SPEAKER_01: Troy with which I guess was kind of shit on a lot back in the day.
- 35:28SPEAKER_01: But this that is a great, great film.
- 35:30SPEAKER_01: I have like a box set uh DVD.
- 35:32SPEAKER_01: I might have to watch that here.
- 35:34SPEAKER_01: It's been a while, but but that was I remember seeing that in theaters, and I had a good time, and and I don't know, yeah, like you know, who knew?
- 35:48SPEAKER_01: Like that was that was the last one of the last times we'd have an epic.
- 35:52SPEAKER_01: I'm not just saying because Troy and and and the Odyssey are you know the same universe or whatever you want to say, but just a good, you know, sword and sandals epic.
- 36:06SPEAKER_01: What like I can't even what's I don't think there has been anything.
- 36:10SPEAKER_01: I mean they did Gladiator 2, which was horrible, I guess, and bombed.
- 36:14SPEAKER_01: But see, that kind of makes me think that maybe because that had, you know, same director and everything as the first Gladiator, which Gladiator, the first one was is awesome.
- 36:25SPEAKER_01: Not as good as Braveheart.
- 36:29SPEAKER_01: Gladiator is one of those see, but see, Gladiator to me is one of those films that is awesome.
- 36:36SPEAKER_01: You gotta watch it, and you should own it, but it's not one that like I have to watch too often.
- 36:43SPEAKER_01: Like, I'd rather watch Braveheart than Gladiator.
- 36:48SPEAKER_01: Although it's been such a long time since I've seen Gladiator, I am kind of wanting to watch it.
- 36:54SPEAKER_01: But yeah, so Gladiator 2 bombed, I I think.
- 36:58SPEAKER_01: So I'm I'm hoping that this movie does shitty.
- 37:01SPEAKER_01: Sorry, but unless it's unless it's really good.
- 37:06SPEAKER_01: And you know, I guess so that the two biggest casting whatever that is the most like retarded is Nolympta, I don't know how to say her name, but the black chick, and and what's her face, what's this whatever, I don't care.
- 37:28SPEAKER_01: But the Elli Ellie Elliot Page playing Achilles, right?
- 37:35SPEAKER_01: So this takes pie this takes place after Troy.
- 37:40SPEAKER_01: So I'm thinking there's like a little underworld Hades action going on, because man, some of that looks so damn dark.
- 37:46SPEAKER_01: So I think there's a little, you know, and it's that's what's it's gonna show Achilles, so it won't be much, and then Helen and Troy, that's all at the beginning.
- 37:57SPEAKER_01: So I think all the like controversial, the biggest controversial castings are gonna be like at the beginning, and you know, but I mean, you know, how freaking what's his face?
- 38:10SPEAKER_01: Christopher Nolan is all over the place, so he's like Quentin Tarantino, sorta.
- 38:15SPEAKER_01: So I don't know, it's hard to say, but it just kind of, you know, just it just like what the f I don't know, it's just annoying.
- 38:24SPEAKER_01: It's just annoying.
- 38:25SPEAKER_01: But I mean, I don't know.
- 38:26SPEAKER_01: Like, I don't, I'm not like butthurt about it because I just I gave up on Hollywood and films so long ago that now I just I really don't care.
- 38:34SPEAKER_01: I mean, obviously I care a little bit because I'm talking about it, but it's more just like what the fuck?
- 38:40SPEAKER_01: Like it's just like a shock thing.
- 38:41SPEAKER_01: Like I like I said, I wasn't really I mean I mean to be fair, like when it was like, hey, Christopher Nolan is making the Odyssey and Matt Damon's in it.
- 38:52SPEAKER_01: I'm like, oh that might be pretty cool.
- 38:54SPEAKER_01: I'll watch that.
- 38:55SPEAKER_01: But then like, you know, when you start seeing some of it and all it's like I don't know.
- 39:01SPEAKER_01: And now I'm just like, no, I don't care.
- 39:04SPEAKER_01: Do not care.
- 39:04SPEAKER_01: I'd rather watch a remake of the Tremors.
- 39:07SPEAKER_01: Hopefully, the Highlander remake is pretty holy shit, dude.
- 39:10SPEAKER_01: I'm at 40 minutes.
- 39:11SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 39:12SPEAKER_01: Man, I was just kind of bullshitting there.
- 39:15SPEAKER_01: That's about it.
- 39:16SPEAKER_01: Appreciate your time.
- 39:17SPEAKER_01: Thanks for hanging out.
- 39:18SPEAKER_01: See you guys next time.
- 39:20SPEAKER_01: All right, God bless.
- 39:21SPEAKER_01: All right, bye.
