- 0:15Speaker 3: Welcome to Patriots Unfiltered.
- 0:19Speaker 2: This is truly the dog days of the NFL right now,
- 0:23Speaker 2: this is really it. You know, during this time on
- 0:25Speaker 2: this show, we've always talked about some of the best
- 0:28Speaker 2: topics have come during every time. Laundry machines. Oh do
- 0:31Speaker 2: you know what this topic is all about? When you
- 0:33Speaker 2: buy these lawnmowers, you got to look at the ccs.
- 0:35Speaker 4: I'm very fascinated by zambodies.
- 0:37Speaker 5: Yeah, lesbian space witches are using the force to make babies.
- 0:40Speaker 3: Now back to the lawnmowers.
- 0:42Speaker 6: Back to lawn if you know, if we got a
- 0:44Speaker 6: party or something. I love watching when they come.
- 0:47Speaker 3: I said, you know what I'm gonna do, circulars.
- 0:49Speaker 2: So I went around and at the end of the
- 0:51Speaker 2: mowing the lawnmad.
- 0:52Speaker 3: Necker because I was looking.
- 0:55Speaker 7: That's the fredest thing ever.
- 0:56Speaker 2: And he he keeps putting down wood ships and every
- 0:58Speaker 2: time it rains, the woods just drain right out into
- 1:01Speaker 2: the street.
- 1:01Speaker 7: He doesn't get it. It's like it's not gonna work.
- 1:04Speaker 7: How many times are you gonna do this. He keeps
- 1:08Speaker 7: doing it.
- 1:08Speaker 3: It keeps just running right out.
- 1:11Speaker 7: Just keep it dirt or paint.
- 1:12Speaker 1: It sounds like this is Patriots Unfiltered.
- 1:16Speaker 5: Presented by Toyota's official website. For deals, buy a Toyota
- 1:20Speaker 5: dot com.
- 1:23Speaker 7: All right, welcome into Patriots on Filtered. We're back for
- 1:25Speaker 7: another summer show. And unfortunately for you all, Freddie is
- 1:28Speaker 7: out on vacation, so Deuce can be taking the hosting
- 1:31Speaker 7: chair here in our studio. B is that what we
- 1:33Speaker 7: call it, Paul? I guess I don't know what we're
- 1:34Speaker 7: calling us our home away from home as the uh
- 1:37Speaker 7: as the new studio gets built. We got Tease, we
- 1:39Speaker 7: got Tamara, we got Evan. If you just listen to
- 1:41Speaker 7: two hours to Catch twenty two, you know, familiar with
- 1:44Speaker 7: all his h his football stylings and hockey stylings as well.
- 1:47Speaker 7: And Paul Hawse little hockey.
- 1:49Speaker 4: When we gotta gotta gotta say goodbye to Ladas, I mean,
- 1:51Speaker 4: we can't just sit here and act like that didn't happen.
- 1:54Speaker 7: I know what, so uh well, Paul was clarifying everything
- 1:56Speaker 7: you were getting wrong for me over in the other
- 1:57Speaker 7: room was getting wrong.
- 2:01Speaker 6: You didn't get anything wrong. That was a that was
- 2:05Speaker 6: a wrong question by Mike. The only thing I would
- 2:08Speaker 6: say is so like you were like, oh, you got
- 2:10Speaker 6: everybody's sad to see him. I don't really know ANYS
- 2:13Speaker 6: fans that thought he was staying or were upset that
- 2:16Speaker 6: he was leaving.
- 2:16Speaker 7: Oh, that that was the only thing. But like my
- 2:19Speaker 7: house that was pretty upset about it last night.
- 2:22Speaker 6: If your ins and outs of the trade, I don't have.
- 2:25Speaker 6: I didn't see anything wrong with anything. Mike's just pulling
- 2:30Speaker 6: a TJ. This is what TJ did to me yesterday.
- 2:32Speaker 6: He set me up to get in trouble for my
- 2:34Speaker 6: wife because I told I told you so. I tell
- 2:36Speaker 6: TJ on Sunday that we're having problems with the pool
- 2:39Speaker 6: filter because Mom put too much earth in the filter.
- 2:43Speaker 6: So I got a text from Beth yesterday. So Everdent
- 2:45Speaker 6: I put too much earth in the filter.
- 2:47Speaker 7: I was like, he's a little rat. I was all
- 2:50Speaker 7: over him. Told you he did. Now I'm just gonna
- 2:53Speaker 7: miss the goalie hugs though, that's you know, that's what said.
- 2:56Speaker 4: Look, I feel like we I understand where Paul is
- 2:59Speaker 4: coming from them totally, but I feel like we don't
- 3:03Speaker 4: look at things like the same way as like fans,
- 3:07Speaker 4: do you know what I'm trying to say, Like it's
- 3:09Speaker 4: all of us, it's all transactional, and it's like this
- 3:11Speaker 4: was what was best for the team and the YadA
- 3:13Speaker 4: YadA YadA. But my fiance was distraught for like a
- 3:16Speaker 4: good hour last night, not because she knew she knew
- 3:19Speaker 4: it was coming, but like she loves lead us all Mark.
- 3:21Speaker 6: So does she like him more than Swayman? No, equally,
- 3:24Speaker 6: because if they had traded Swayman, I would feel exactly this.
- 3:27Speaker 6: So she so she's is like one goalie only one place.
- 3:31Speaker 4: She's a gigantic, gigantic two garrasque fan, like the biggest
- 3:35Speaker 4: two grass fan. And then and then that obviously continued
- 3:40Speaker 4: to the two goalies that are current, you know, not
- 3:42Speaker 4: anymore currently, but to swimming in ol Mark. So, uh,
- 3:46Speaker 4: you know her view of it, I feel like, is
- 3:49Speaker 4: what a lot of fans how they kind of look
- 3:51Speaker 4: at things, and a lot of you know, people are upside.
- 3:53Speaker 6: I think he's a good, solid goalie. I think there's
- 3:55Speaker 6: very little difference between those two guys. But Mike, I
- 3:57Speaker 6: know that you spent hours this morning for this show.
- 4:01Speaker 7: You want to get right into it.
- 4:02Speaker 6: You heard the lead into the show about you know,
- 4:05Speaker 6: various lawnmowers and patterns and said, I missed that other appliances.
- 4:09Speaker 6: That was our show that Evan fred Nice on Thursday.
- 4:12Speaker 8: So before we get into the lawnmowers, refrigerators, soap in
- 4:16Speaker 8: a slot.
- 4:17Speaker 7: We had some Patriots stuff. We got some Patriots stuff.
- 4:19Speaker 6: Mike tirelessly this morning.
- 4:21Speaker 7: I have notes I did, I did, Paul, I did
- 4:23Speaker 7: some statistical analysis.
- 4:24Speaker 8: At the top of mine. At the top of mine
- 4:27Speaker 8: for me is Devon on Twitter.
- 4:30Speaker 7: Yeah, so that's, uh, well, we can start with that one.
- 4:31Speaker 7: We we also had training camp dates announced. We can
- 4:33Speaker 7: get into that as well. But uh yeah, gotchaw chiming
- 4:36Speaker 7: in on social media this morning. Uh I think, you know,
- 4:39Speaker 7: last week we had two weeks ago we heard jirob
- 4:41Speaker 7: Mayo basically just come out and say, yeah, he wants
- 4:44Speaker 7: more money, and Gotcha was like, yeah, I want more money.
- 4:47Speaker 7: It's a tough kind of I think they're kind of
- 4:49Speaker 7: in a tough spot, like because on one hand, I
- 4:52Speaker 7: think that, you know, this is a position that certainly
- 4:54Speaker 7: has been a valuable guy for them, and on early
- 4:56Speaker 7: downs he's there's nothing really behind him. Then you know,
- 4:58Speaker 7: with Lawrence guy gone. You know, he's kind of the
- 5:01Speaker 7: guy in the middle. He sees them handing out contracts
- 5:04Speaker 7: and we'll get into the Rowandi Stevenson of it all too,
- 5:06Speaker 7: which I think happened after the show last week. You
- 5:08Speaker 7: guys did. So you see all these guys getting kind
- 5:11Speaker 7: of paid, and you know, he got paid last year.
- 5:13Speaker 7: He's got no guaranteed money left, so you kind of
- 5:15Speaker 7: understand where he's at. But I also understand what the
- 5:17Speaker 7: team's saying, like, yeah, but you're kind of a role player,
- 5:20Speaker 7: and we gave you a couple of raises, and you
- 5:23Speaker 7: know it's these we're paying the young guys. We're paying
- 5:25Speaker 7: the guys in their twenties. You're thirty. So I don't
- 5:27Speaker 7: really know. Do you think that this is going to
- 5:28Speaker 7: come to a head and maybe cause a holdout? Perhaps
- 5:32Speaker 7: I could.
- 5:32Speaker 8: See them paying him simply because the run game has
- 5:35Speaker 8: improved since you know, he's been added to the roster.
- 5:38Speaker 8: I thought they were much better last year. And then
- 5:40Speaker 8: also even the young guys that they have that you're
- 5:42Speaker 8: trying to develop, I don't see one that's going to
- 5:45Speaker 8: replace him right now on the roster.
- 5:47Speaker 7: She want to talk Jeremiah Farms. I mean, he's probably
- 5:49Speaker 7: the next guy up at that spot, which is practice
- 5:51Speaker 7: squad guy.
- 5:51Speaker 8: And I know with that and I know that too.
- 5:53Speaker 8: It's like when you're in a position like Godshaw, they're
- 5:56Speaker 8: not going to show up on the stat sheet, like
- 5:58Speaker 8: how you know Andrew Stevenson would like, You're not going
- 6:01Speaker 8: to see his carries and how many yards he has.
- 6:04Speaker 8: You're not going to see that stuff. But I think
- 6:06Speaker 8: overall the run game has improved him without Lawrence guy.
- 6:08Speaker 8: And if you don't have Godshawlick, who's going to be
- 6:10Speaker 8: the big man in the middle helping to stop the run.
- 6:13Speaker 9: The best thing for god is he's been available for yes,
- 6:16Speaker 9: every game he's played. I think I'm not sure what
- 6:17Speaker 9: the exact number was, but I mean you got if
- 6:19Speaker 9: you're paying him, I don't think you're breaking the bank
- 6:21Speaker 9: for him.
- 6:21Speaker 8: I agree to the best The best ability is availability.
- 6:25Speaker 6: They broke the bank for him last year. How many
- 6:27Speaker 6: years in a row you get a new contract.
- 6:29Speaker 8: And I will say, I like what Matti's brought up.
- 6:31Speaker 8: The best ability is availability, and he's been available.
- 6:35Speaker 7: At the end of the day.
- 6:36Speaker 4: And we did this a little bit on Catch twenty two.
- 6:37Speaker 4: We actually looked at some of the interior defensive linemen
- 6:41Speaker 4: and went down the list of is that guy like
- 6:43Speaker 4: to play Like Davon Godshaw, He's a two down nose Taggle,
- 6:47Speaker 4: He's a two down nose tackle. He doesn't he doesn't
- 6:50Speaker 4: rush the passer. He's not going to be in on
- 6:52Speaker 4: third down. And as much as I think that he's
- 6:56Speaker 4: a great guy and everything, that is just not a
- 6:59Speaker 4: role that necessarily breaks the bank. It's not Christian Barmore, Like,
- 7:03Speaker 4: you're not paying somebody that's going to be a double
- 7:05Speaker 4: digit sixty pressure guy. It's not Dexter Lawrence, you know,
- 7:08Speaker 4: who's gonna be one of the best defensive linemen in
- 7:10Speaker 4: the league. He is a situational player that is very
- 7:15Speaker 4: very good in the situations that he's in. But in
- 7:20Speaker 4: terms of the compensation, he's kind of fairly compensated at
- 7:23Speaker 4: this point, and so the only thing that they could
- 7:25Speaker 4: necessarily do with him is convert some of his like
- 7:29Speaker 4: roster bonuses and workout bonuses and just give him the money.
- 7:32Speaker 7: Right, so it's.
- 7:33Speaker 4: More guaranteed cash up front. They could add years, but why, like,
- 7:40Speaker 4: what's the rush to add years to it? I hear
- 7:43Speaker 4: him he's right that his stuff does not show up
- 7:45Speaker 4: on the statuet. You gotta watch the film and he
- 7:47Speaker 4: got a no ball, as he said in this tweet.
- 7:50Speaker 4: To understand what exactly his role encapsulates, I just look
- 7:53Speaker 4: at the comps across the league in that type of
- 7:56Speaker 4: skill set and say he's kind of making market money
- 7:59Speaker 4: for a first down run, stuffing nose tackle.
- 8:02Speaker 7: Is it more just the thing that he doesn't have
- 8:04Speaker 7: any money after this year? There's no guaranteed money this year.
- 8:06Speaker 7: Do you think it's more or not? I feel underpaid.
- 8:09Speaker 7: It just feels like I want to have some security.
- 8:11Speaker 8: It seems from his tweets, from his tweet, it seems security.
- 8:14Speaker 8: And I like how you mentioned he wanted to retire here,
- 8:17Speaker 8: so I think he kind of just wants security here.
- 8:19Speaker 8: He doesn't want to go anywhere else. He's cool with
- 8:21Speaker 8: staying here if the money matches it.
- 8:23Speaker 7: What do you guys think is better? Do you think
- 8:25Speaker 7: it's better the way Bill handled things where he didn't
- 8:27Speaker 7: talk about contracts, He never would have said what Girod
- 8:29Speaker 7: said last week? Or do you think it's better that
- 8:31Speaker 7: Girod just acknowledges the elephant in the room. Devon godchas
- 8:34Speaker 7: now acknowledging the elephant in the room. It's not really
- 8:37Speaker 7: an elephant in the room anymore. I mean, is there
- 8:38Speaker 7: a better way to do it? Do you think is it?
- 8:40Speaker 6: Does it matter or is it just kind of what
- 8:43Speaker 6: somewhere in the middle. Yeah, I would think. You know,
- 8:46Speaker 6: I don't know that Bill always did the right thing
- 8:49Speaker 6: just by completely ignoring everybody who asked every question. I
- 8:52Speaker 6: don't think that was the right way to do it.
- 8:54Speaker 6: But contracts and stuff, you know, I think when you
- 8:57Speaker 6: started that the answer took me by in mini camp.
- 9:01Speaker 6: I don't know how you guys felt, not just because
- 9:03Speaker 6: it was such such a sweet contract. Were people, Oh yeah,
- 9:07Speaker 6: there's a lot of guys in that situation. And he
- 9:08Speaker 6: talked about one of the things I'm learning is your
- 9:12Speaker 6: you know, sort of valuation of a player isn't necessarily
- 9:16Speaker 6: the same as the market. Yeah, you know, and like
- 9:20Speaker 6: another thing i'm learning on you know, on the fly. Yeah,
- 9:23Speaker 6: I don't think that's a great way either. But if
- 9:26Speaker 6: I have to choose between the two, I'll take Mayo's
- 9:28Speaker 6: because at least, you know, we're getting some information and
- 9:30Speaker 6: we're being able to sort of understand where they're coming from.
- 9:34Speaker 9: I feel like in the past, whenever a player would
- 9:35Speaker 9: be like, oh, like it's time for me to get paid,
- 9:37Speaker 9: I just like him. I head be like, oh, he's gone,
- 9:39Speaker 9: like's not going to pay him. So it's kind of
- 9:41Speaker 9: a new approach.
- 9:41Speaker 6: I think this is a guy who was paid, like
- 9:43Speaker 6: Evan's right, like he got paid very well last year.
- 9:47Speaker 6: And I don't really understand the whole I think it's
- 9:50Speaker 6: a security thing. To answer your question, I think he's
- 9:52Speaker 6: looking for longer term. But everybody keeps writing in and
- 9:56Speaker 6: I wrote the same thing last week, you know, but
- 9:59Speaker 6: there's no guaranteed. My well, who cares, Like, is he
- 10:01Speaker 6: gonna be on the team this year? Yes, yeah, so
- 10:04Speaker 6: that's guaranteed. It's like, if you're on the team, you're
- 10:06Speaker 6: gonna get paid. It's not like he's getting you know,
- 10:09Speaker 6: like the whole Judon thing. They took money from this
- 10:12Speaker 6: year and gave it to him last year. So now
- 10:14Speaker 6: he's not really fairly compensated for what he's gonna do
- 10:17Speaker 6: this year. I think Godchaw will be yeah for what
- 10:21Speaker 6: he does, as Evan pointed out, very well as a
- 10:23Speaker 6: part time player. He is very good in his role,
- 10:27Speaker 6: Like he's a run stuffing defensive tackle. But like you
- 10:31Speaker 6: start talking about some of the guys that are defensive
- 10:33Speaker 6: tackles around the league that do that, that also make
- 10:38Speaker 6: plays in the backfield, also put pressure on the court,
- 10:40Speaker 6: you know, to Forest Buckner's and guys like that Dexter
- 10:43Speaker 6: Lawrence Evan brought up earlier.
- 10:45Speaker 7: Those guys are to me at a level much higher
- 10:48Speaker 7: than gotcha.
- 10:48Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah, It's it's tough with the contracts because
- 10:51Speaker 4: at some point the buck has to stop. You can't
- 10:53Speaker 4: just if you start giving out free money to everybody,
- 10:57Speaker 4: and all fifty three guys are going to be knocking
- 10:59Speaker 4: on Elliott Wolf's door being like, well, you gave an
- 11:01Speaker 4: extension to Remandre and you paid Devon when he complained
- 11:04Speaker 4: about it, So here I am, you know whoever have
- 11:08Speaker 4: a certain name here, and now I'm gonna start to
- 11:10Speaker 4: complain about it. And again, if you look at the
- 11:14Speaker 4: market value of what he's being compensated this year, he's
- 11:18Speaker 4: being fairly compensated for the role he's gonna play on
- 11:20Speaker 4: the team. And if you start even paying those guys
- 11:23Speaker 4: and every single person on the roster is gonna want
- 11:26Speaker 4: some more money.
- 11:26Speaker 7: Do you feel like he do you feel like Elliot
- 11:28Speaker 7: Wolf has to say no because I mean, look, I'm
- 11:30Speaker 7: a fan of resigning bar More and Dougger and you know,
- 11:34Speaker 7: we talked about plenty. I'm a fan of that. But
- 11:36Speaker 7: it feels like you've kind of brought this upon yourself. Now,
- 11:38Speaker 7: if you're gonna make a move to send a message
- 11:40Speaker 7: to the locker room that we want to keep our guys,
- 11:44Speaker 7: it kind of then sets the line, like you have
- 11:46Speaker 7: and now what won my term?
- 11:47Speaker 8: Well?
- 11:47Speaker 7: What about me?
- 11:48Speaker 6: You know?
- 11:48Speaker 7: So at a certain point, do they have to say, hey, Devon,
- 11:52Speaker 7: sorry you cannot show up and we're not gonna pay you,
- 11:55Speaker 7: and you know what I mean, they have to put
- 11:56Speaker 7: their foot in the draw a line in the sand
- 11:58Speaker 7: and say, look, we're gonna send the guys we want,
- 11:59Speaker 7: but we're not going to let you hold the gun
- 12:01Speaker 7: to our head.
- 12:02Speaker 8: I was kind of shocked, kind of same along those
- 12:04Speaker 8: same lines, Mike. Did they re signed Ramondre, especially because
- 12:07Speaker 8: the market hasn't really valued running backs and it just
- 12:10Speaker 8: deemed them as so replaceable that I was shocked to
- 12:13Speaker 8: see Remandre get a contract.
- 12:14Speaker 7: Well that's a great transition to Maarra. But first, hey,
- 12:16Speaker 7: Patriots fans, if you want to see Toyota's best offers,
- 12:19Speaker 7: including those not seen on TV, go to buy atyo
- 12:22Speaker 7: toyota dot com. It's Toyota's official website for deals from
- 12:25Speaker 7: the official vehicle of the New England Patriots, Toyota. Let's
- 12:28Speaker 7: go talk about Remondre's deal. So, uh, Paul's right, I
- 12:31Speaker 7: did I did, Like I even did it Paul style,
- 12:32Speaker 7: Like you know, he's got like little pad and he
- 12:34Speaker 7: writes with a pen. Right, Paul's.
- 12:40Speaker 6: Just like making fun of us, just reprepared, right, right, right, Hey,
- 12:43Speaker 6: I didn't want to see my notes app on my phone.
- 12:46Speaker 7: That's a lot smaller. But no, I mean I didn't
- 12:49Speaker 7: do anything crazy. I just wanted to kind of stack
- 12:51Speaker 7: up how he measures up to the rest of the league.
- 12:53Speaker 7: And I mean, I don't know if you guys have
- 12:55Speaker 7: gone through this at all, but I kind of have him,
- 12:57Speaker 7: I guess essentially seventh in the league. If you kind
- 12:59Speaker 7: of stack him up, I think it's six six, all right.
- 13:02Speaker 7: I think there's probably some confusion with mixing. That's probably where.
- 13:05Speaker 7: But McCaffrey's making nineteen million per year. He has twenty
- 13:08Speaker 7: four million guaranteed. Kamara got fifteen per He's he got
- 13:11Speaker 7: thirty four point three guaranteed. Jonathan Taylor, who is younger
- 13:15Speaker 7: than Rmandra Stevenson just a note still just twenty five
- 13:18Speaker 7: fourteen million per twenty six point five guaranteed, saquon twelve
- 13:23Speaker 7: point six per with twenty six million guaranteed. Then we
- 13:26Speaker 7: get down into Josh Jacobs twelve million per with twelve
- 13:29Speaker 7: point five and then we can kind of slot in
- 13:31Speaker 7: Stevenson here, who got four for thirty six, which is
- 13:34Speaker 7: about nine million per seventeen guaranteed. Joe Mixon's making nine
- 13:37Speaker 7: point eight per with thirteen million guaranteed, so less guaranteed money,
- 13:41Speaker 7: but you know, just stacking some of these guys up,
- 13:43Speaker 7: and I think Josh Jacobs to me was kind of
- 13:46Speaker 7: the comp at least monetarily. He's making a little bit more,
- 13:49Speaker 7: but not a lot. He only got twelve point five guaranteed,
- 13:52Speaker 7: but he's making twelve per. But when you look at
- 13:54Speaker 7: the numbers, you know, Ramondre had that one season, you know,
- 13:57Speaker 7: two years ago where you know, all around did a
- 13:59Speaker 7: ton of st But when you look at Josh Jacob's numbers,
- 14:02Speaker 7: his five seasons, eleven hundred total yards, twelve hundred total yards,
- 14:06Speaker 7: thirteen hundred total yards twice and the two thousand yard
- 14:08Speaker 7: season last year. Just when you stack up the production wise,
- 14:12Speaker 7: and I like Ramandre and I think, you know, injuries
- 14:15Speaker 7: have been a little bit of an issue for him.
- 14:16Speaker 7: But for me, it just feels like a little bit surprising.
- 14:19Speaker 7: It feels a little bit of a rich deal. It
- 14:21Speaker 7: feels like they didn't maybe necessarily have to do it
- 14:23Speaker 7: just yet. I guess I personally connected to trying to
- 14:26Speaker 7: keep your best offensive weapon in the house, and regardless of.
- 14:30Speaker 3: Being a running back, I love it.
- 14:32Speaker 9: I think he's top tennis running back, probably closer to
- 14:35Speaker 9: ten and he's it's about drafting, developing. You're keeping him.
- 14:38Speaker 9: He's worked on catching out the backfield. He's kind of
- 14:41Speaker 9: a bad guy. I think that's a guy who deserves
- 14:44Speaker 9: a contract, even though it is kind of interesting. In
- 14:45Speaker 9: the past three years, the way to running back market
- 14:47Speaker 9: has changed. But I love it.
- 14:48Speaker 7: So I just.
- 14:51Speaker 4: Sometimes we talk about fictional people on this show, and
- 14:57Speaker 4: if Bill had given this contract, I think the reaction
- 15:00Speaker 4: to this contract would have been much different than what
- 15:02Speaker 4: we saw on Twitter on Thursday. We don't have to
- 15:05Speaker 4: love every contract that the new regime hands out. We
- 15:08Speaker 4: don't have to love them all. This one is a
- 15:11Speaker 4: bad contract. You handed a running back who's twenty six
- 15:15Speaker 4: years old, seventeen million dollars guaranteed, when the data tells
- 15:19Speaker 4: us that at twenty eight he's gonna drop off a cliff.
- 15:22Speaker 4: So second contract with running backs are a huge risk.
- 15:26Speaker 4: It's a huge risk. But any measure you know really
- 15:30Speaker 4: statistically and yes, is he a good player?
- 15:35Speaker 7: Yes? Is he special?
- 15:37Speaker 4: Like is he remarkably good that he's going to really
- 15:42Speaker 4: create yards on his own? Again, statistically it would say no,
- 15:46Speaker 4: because last year, when he didn't have a good offensive line,
- 15:49Speaker 4: his production took a major hit. So in twenty twenty
- 15:52Speaker 4: two he has the breakout year. He averaged five yards
- 15:55Speaker 4: per carry, he averaged three point eight yards after contact
- 15:57Speaker 4: per rush. Those were both near the top of the league.
- 16:01Speaker 4: Last year, much worse offense, much worse environment. Four yards
- 16:05Speaker 4: of carry, two point eight yards after contact. So that
- 16:09Speaker 4: full yard difference tells you that a lot of that
- 16:12Speaker 4: was just the product of his environment and the offensive
- 16:15Speaker 4: line and the blocking that he was getting. And he
- 16:17Speaker 4: would tell us last year all the time, you know
- 16:19Speaker 4: that he would go back and watch his carries and
- 16:21Speaker 4: there's just there's no place to go there's no holes. Well,
- 16:24Speaker 4: if you were really like in that special category, you'd
- 16:28Speaker 4: find a hole, you know, like you know, and I
- 16:32Speaker 4: just I worry a lot about always, always will always
- 16:35Speaker 4: worry about paying running backs. It's just a risky position.
- 16:39Speaker 6: Yeah, that's where I kind of stand on it overall philosophically.
- 16:42Speaker 6: Is that last part about the second contract for running backs.
- 16:46Speaker 6: I don't think it's an ovally exorbitant number. I don't
- 16:49Speaker 6: think the contract is that is that out of whack.
- 16:53Speaker 6: I would tell the list that you read off, I
- 16:54Speaker 6: would take all those guys over Stevenson, but not because
- 16:57Speaker 6: I think Stevenson can't play. I think he's fine, and
- 17:01Speaker 6: I think this contract is fine. I don't think it's
- 17:04Speaker 6: a great deal, and I don't think it's something that
- 17:06Speaker 6: we're going to be talking about, my god, Like we
- 17:08Speaker 6: can't resign our quarterback because we gave you know, Ramondre
- 17:11Speaker 6: Stevens a thirty six million dollars. I mean one thing
- 17:15Speaker 6: that I don't know. This is an extension, right, so
- 17:18Speaker 6: it kicks in after this year. Say he plays out
- 17:21Speaker 6: the last year of his rookie deal. That kind of
- 17:23Speaker 6: worries me even more, like because now the big money
- 17:26Speaker 6: comes a year later at twenty seven, you know, to
- 17:29Speaker 6: Evan's point like, that's when you start to see the
- 17:33Speaker 6: tread and I think we already saw that. I think
- 17:34Speaker 6: that it's when when and I didn't have those contact
- 17:38Speaker 6: numbers that Evan just had. That makes sense when you
- 17:41Speaker 6: have that much production after contact, a drop off the
- 17:44Speaker 6: next year is going to make sense. He took a
- 17:46Speaker 6: lot of wear and tear. A lot of people talk
- 17:49Speaker 6: about the catches. He has a lot of catches, but
- 17:51Speaker 6: all of those guys that have a lot of catches
- 17:54Speaker 6: do a lot more with them than Ramondre Stevenson does.
- 17:57Speaker 6: Those are the numbers I did to Mike. It's mixing Kamara, Eckler, McCaffrey,
- 18:05Speaker 6: and I would submit that McCaffrey's not fair because he's
- 18:08Speaker 6: in a stratus fair all.
- 18:09Speaker 7: On his own.
- 18:10Speaker 6: But those are the guys that have more catches than
- 18:12Speaker 6: he does. And Rashad White is the other one. They
- 18:15Speaker 6: all average at least a yard more per reception than Stevenson,
- 18:21Speaker 6: and they all had at least five touchdowns and this
- 18:24Speaker 6: is over a two year span. They all had at
- 18:26Speaker 6: least five receiving touchdowns to Stevenson's one in two years.
- 18:32Speaker 6: So yeah, he cut sixty whatever passes two years ago,
- 18:35Speaker 6: but to what end for a terrible offense and adding.
- 18:39Speaker 7: The uncertainty too of the new scheme. And you know,
- 18:42Speaker 7: we've talked a lot about AVP wide zone. Does it fit? Remandre,
- 18:46Speaker 7: they're paying them like they think it fits.
- 18:48Speaker 6: And I'll tell you something else, you know, and this
- 18:51Speaker 6: is more anecdotal. Evan probably has the actual numbers. But
- 18:54Speaker 6: Nick Chubb was used as their bell kyle. Obviously in Cleveland.
- 18:58Speaker 6: He came off the field a lot for Kareem huh
- 19:01Speaker 6: in passing situations, which I hated, partly because I had
- 19:04Speaker 6: Nick Chubb in my fantasy. But I just think Chubb
- 19:08Speaker 6: was a better player, and to me, you should want
- 19:11Speaker 6: I mean, I understand you want to try to preserve him,
- 19:13Speaker 6: but I thought he needed to get so I wonder
- 19:16Speaker 6: if that's an a VP thing that he wants to
- 19:19Speaker 6: sort of have a separate guy.
- 19:21Speaker 7: To do that with Gibson. I guess yeah.
- 19:23Speaker 4: I just think that the in this off there's a
- 19:26Speaker 4: couple of running backs that I would say, are I
- 19:30Speaker 4: would pay.
- 19:30Speaker 7: Like are worth it McCaffrey.
- 19:32Speaker 4: But the point is that there's it's just a couple
- 19:35Speaker 4: and I think what we saw in free agency this
- 19:37Speaker 4: past offseason, even though there was a little bit of
- 19:39Speaker 4: a renaissance in terms of money, they all a lot
- 19:42Speaker 4: of the teams also just looked at them as interchangeable. Yep, Like, Okay,
- 19:46Speaker 4: you know Aaron Jones in Green Bay, All right, We're
- 19:50Speaker 4: just gonna sign Josh Jacobs.
- 19:51Speaker 7: It's fine.
- 19:52Speaker 6: Same back and left Cincinnati and just Houston.
- 19:56Speaker 8: And the Giants letting saque walk and go to Philly.
- 19:58Speaker 4: Like right, so the Giants, you know who is the
- 20:00Speaker 4: back in Philly that that left the Carolina Swift goes right.
- 20:06Speaker 6: Yeah, DeAndre Swift left Philly. I don't know where.
- 20:08Speaker 7: Yeah, I think you went to Carolina. Okay, he leaves Philly.
- 20:12Speaker 4: Philly just says, okay, we'll just take Saquon Barkley, right,
- 20:15Speaker 4: And it was just musical chairs. So what they're really
- 20:18Speaker 4: telling you is is, and you read off the numbers,
- 20:20Speaker 4: there are numbers were all pretty equal, was that these
- 20:23Speaker 4: guys are all kind of the same.
- 20:24Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 20:24Speaker 4: And so that's the only point that I come out
- 20:27Speaker 4: with through Mandre is that we see time and time
- 20:29Speaker 4: again that there are really only a handful of running
- 20:32Speaker 4: backs that are truly game changing and it's prime Derrick Henry,
- 20:38Speaker 4: it's Christian McCaffrey. I think early career Nick Chubb was
- 20:42Speaker 4: in that category.
- 20:44Speaker 7: For a while, he's dropped off, right, It's either you're a.
- 20:48Speaker 4: Mismatch in the passing game like a McCaffrey or Kamara
- 20:51Speaker 4: player like that, or guys like Derrick Henry and Nick
- 20:54Speaker 4: Chubb are the only a few running backs that you
- 20:58Speaker 4: actually can tangibly see how with them on the field matters.
- 21:02Speaker 4: Like you put Derrick Henry in the backfield and you
- 21:04Speaker 4: play action with Derek Henry in the backfield, defenses are
- 21:07Speaker 4: reacting to that run fake more than they would if
- 21:10Speaker 4: you have just a regular Joe Schmoe at running back.
- 21:13Speaker 4: But those are just it's I could name like five
- 21:16Speaker 4: or six backs where you could say, you know, wins
- 21:19Speaker 4: above replacement, like that back is adding significant value to
- 21:24Speaker 4: his team. And I just don't know if vermondre is
- 21:26Speaker 4: in that category.
- 21:27Speaker 7: Is there an argument to be made though that we
- 21:29Speaker 7: haven't seen the best of Vermandra Stevenson yet because his
- 21:31Speaker 7: rookie year, you know what, the fumble got benched right,
- 21:33Speaker 7: Like I mean kind of Josh McDaniel's offense. Somehow he
- 21:36Speaker 7: was uber productive in the Matt Patricia offense, like somehow
- 21:39Speaker 7: that was what he needed to explode, and then last
- 21:42Speaker 7: year fell off injuries again. I just I just there's
- 21:46Speaker 7: part of me that still wonders, have we not seen
- 21:48Speaker 7: ramondra Stevenson in the perfect kind of offense for him
- 21:51Speaker 7: that takes full advantage of his skills? And I know
- 21:53Speaker 7: twenty twenty two you can make the argument because he
- 21:55Speaker 7: was really productive, But at the same time, from what
- 21:57Speaker 7: we've heard of that offensive coordinator, they didn't really know
- 22:00Speaker 7: what they were doing.
- 22:00Speaker 6: So you know, like, well, is there because that says
- 22:05Speaker 6: we haven't seen year four or five for a running
- 22:08Speaker 6: back all of a sudden he yeah, yeah, hits that
- 22:10Speaker 6: that would be kind of If.
- 22:12Speaker 4: They get the production that they got from him in
- 22:14Speaker 4: twenty twenty two over the next two or three years
- 22:16Speaker 4: of this contract, then it's a fine contract.
- 22:18Speaker 6: Yeah, But because it's not blowing the the contracts out
- 22:22Speaker 6: of the water, it's not no right right, And it's
- 22:24Speaker 6: really to me, I look at the seventeen number more
- 22:27Speaker 6: than the thirty six number, and I haven't seen the
- 22:29Speaker 6: whole breakdown if someone had that.
- 22:30Speaker 4: Not yet, which I'm curious about because if it's if
- 22:33Speaker 4: it's truly just a two year extension and the year three
- 22:36Speaker 4: really doesn't have a whole lot of guaranteed money or
- 22:38Speaker 4: four won't have any, then you can get into a
- 22:41Speaker 4: situation where if he does take this precipitous drop off
- 22:44Speaker 4: that I think he might because of his age. Okay,
- 22:46Speaker 4: so in two years.
- 22:47Speaker 6: You just cut ties in, you I know what I'm thinking.
- 22:49Speaker 7: Yeah, if that's what.
- 22:50Speaker 4: It is, then all, then I'm definitely more on board
- 22:53Speaker 4: with it. I will just never be on board with
- 22:56Speaker 4: paying right.
- 22:56Speaker 7: Yeah. But I also just I wonder too some of
- 22:58Speaker 7: the headspace of the front office being that you know,
- 23:01Speaker 7: we got Antonio Gibson here, he's an unknown quantity, but
- 23:04Speaker 7: you know Romondre's due to be up. I mean, you
- 23:06Speaker 7: really have two running backs. We don't know any anything
- 23:08Speaker 7: about the rest of those guys, if they're gonna be
- 23:10Speaker 7: able to play at the NFL level? You know? Are
- 23:12Speaker 7: they just trying to avoid saying, Look, we don't want
- 23:15Speaker 7: to just go back into the draft next year and
- 23:16Speaker 7: get another kid that doesn't really know what they're doing.
- 23:18Speaker 7: And I'm sure that you know they will and they'll
- 23:20Speaker 7: probably develop somebody, but we just wo'd rather sign Rimondre
- 23:23Speaker 7: Stevenson then have to go out and sign DeAndre Swift
- 23:26Speaker 7: or just play musical chairs. Let's just keep art.
- 23:28Speaker 6: I just wonder if they could have signed this same
- 23:30Speaker 6: contract at the end of the season.
- 23:33Speaker 7: Yeah, and I don't.
- 23:33Speaker 6: I mean, there's no way of knowing that for sure,
- 23:35Speaker 6: so I'm not trying to come off as the know
- 23:37Speaker 6: it all.
- 23:37Speaker 7: I don't.
- 23:38Speaker 6: Maybe they couldn't have. Maybe this is a bargain.
- 23:40Speaker 8: I like that, Paul, because I think that if he
- 23:42Speaker 8: had a full year where he was more available, healthy
- 23:45Speaker 8: and productive, got another one thousand yard season, I think
- 23:49Speaker 8: I would be more inclined to give him that contract.
- 23:51Speaker 6: And I just wonder how much more would he have
- 23:53Speaker 6: been in line.
- 23:53Speaker 7: Right when he got up to twelve. I have just sort.
- 23:55Speaker 6: Of explain to you, they're just moving around like it's
- 23:59Speaker 6: you know, you a guy and my guy. And I
- 24:00Speaker 6: think I'm going to get them all for this. You know,
- 24:02Speaker 6: I'm surprised that Joe Mixon is less than that. I
- 24:04Speaker 6: think Joe Mixon is a more productive bet. Now he's
- 24:07Speaker 6: a much better offense. Right Well, maybe Stevenson's a better
- 24:10Speaker 6: player and he would look that good.
- 24:12Speaker 3: Of it was a bad class it was a bad
- 24:14Speaker 3: draft class.
- 24:15Speaker 9: Then if you're playing musical chairs, like you don't like,
- 24:17Speaker 9: you don't know if you're gonna get somebody with the
- 24:19Speaker 9: exact same production. I just think it's a safe, deep,
- 24:22Speaker 9: like well deserved contract.
- 24:23Speaker 3: Yeah, Like, I.
- 24:24Speaker 9: Don't thing it's not about him, but he did Like, oh,
- 24:30Speaker 9: I agree with Evan, Like the running back position as
- 24:32Speaker 9: a whole has just changed so much the past couple
- 24:34Speaker 9: of year lives. Like I think it's crazy that Sakuon
- 24:36Speaker 9: Barkley was available to just leave and go to his rival.
- 24:39Speaker 7: Yeah, but like, I don't know, it's just the other
- 24:41Speaker 7: thought I had about this though, is do you guys
- 24:43Speaker 7: think that there's any vestige of And I always felt
- 24:46Speaker 7: like Bill Belichick, I mean I felt maybe you guys disagree,
- 24:49Speaker 7: but it always felt like his philosophy lean towards defenses
- 24:52Speaker 7: are getting lighter to play the pass. I want to
- 24:54Speaker 7: get heavier and more physical to try to take advantage
- 24:57Speaker 7: of those defenses. And that was the only other thought
- 24:59Speaker 7: that I had of you know, them kind of reupping
- 25:02Speaker 7: on when you making sure they had Hunter Henry in
- 25:04Speaker 7: the mix, not that he's a huge contributor in the
- 25:05Speaker 7: run game, but then also you know, adding Ramandre into
- 25:08Speaker 7: that mix. I don't know, it's just another another kind
- 25:12Speaker 7: of fun a situation.
- 25:13Speaker 6: Like that's what I'm just saying. He was under a contract,
- 25:16Speaker 6: and I think they could have protected themselves by waiting.
- 25:21Speaker 6: I don't think it would have cost him much more
- 25:22Speaker 6: to wait, let's put it that way.
- 25:23Speaker 7: Well, that's and that's what I said.
- 25:24Speaker 6: People trying to keep him happy?
- 25:26Speaker 7: Right? Is he getting up to fourteen million off a
- 25:28Speaker 7: great year? Like like like Taylor, I don't see it.
- 25:30Speaker 7: I don't see it. I mean, maybe he gets up
- 25:32Speaker 7: into that twelve range with again, Josh Jacobs, Saquon, those
- 25:35Speaker 7: are the guys.
- 25:37Speaker 6: In that Like maybe I'm being maybe I'm being disrespectful
- 25:40Speaker 6: to Stevenson, who I like a lot.
- 25:42Speaker 7: I'm going to say that again and over and over again.
- 25:44Speaker 4: But I don't look at him twenty twenty two, then
- 25:47Speaker 4: he's probably in that tier.
- 25:48Speaker 7: Like is he as good as Josh Jacobs?
- 25:50Speaker 6: He wasn't twenty two when he led the league in run?
- 25:52Speaker 6: Didn't you have like sixteen hundred yards?
- 25:54Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 25:54Speaker 7: But he yeah, yeah, probably not?
- 25:57Speaker 6: Probably not, Like I don't look at him. Is that
- 25:59Speaker 6: kind of a dynamic Mcgrenno.
- 26:00Speaker 7: Probably not yev. It's just a.
- 26:04Speaker 4: It's a whole thing with me that I will always
- 26:06Speaker 4: like hold true. Is just I just have no time
- 26:09Speaker 4: for the running back position, like you can just it's
- 26:14Speaker 4: just pretty crystal clear that there's a handful of guys
- 26:18Speaker 4: that are different and there's a whole lot of everybody else,
- 26:21Speaker 4: which is fine and most often and it's just Josh Jacobs,
- 26:26Speaker 4: you know now this point, Saquon Barkley, Aaron Jones, like
- 26:30Speaker 4: DeAndre Swift from Andre Stephenson, I can find that guy.
- 26:34Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, you might be just dealing with McCaffrey at
- 26:37Speaker 7: this point. Yeah, I can find those guys.
- 26:39Speaker 8: I feel like if I was an opposing defense and
- 26:41Speaker 8: I was preparing to play the Patriots, I feel like
- 26:44Speaker 8: We'mondre Stephenson. You have to respect him absolutely, but he's
- 26:47Speaker 8: not someone that you feel like you have to game
- 26:49Speaker 8: plan your whole defense around. No, like you have to
- 26:52Speaker 8: respect him, know that he's there, But it's not like
- 26:54Speaker 8: McCaffrey where you're like, it's more.
- 26:55Speaker 6: Of a general game plan, like we know they're going
- 26:57Speaker 6: to try to power up and run the football. We
- 26:59Speaker 6: need to be ready to stop the run.
- 27:00Speaker 9: Yeah, yeah, Saie Year where they just stacked the box.
- 27:03Speaker 6: Yeah, and you know, maybe the two kids that got
- 27:05Speaker 6: drafted last year, you know, with with with Robinson and Gibbs,
- 27:09Speaker 6: you know, those those two guys might might be talking
- 27:11Speaker 6: about them like McCaffrey, because I think we've seen some
- 27:13Speaker 6: dynamic skills from both of them, especially Gibbs. Yeah, so
- 27:17Speaker 6: maybe we're talking about those kinds of guys a little
- 27:20Speaker 6: bit more in the future.
- 27:21Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 27:22Speaker 4: The one thing I will say on the pro side
- 27:25Speaker 4: is that they're going to have some significant needs at
- 27:29Speaker 4: premium positions next year in the draft. And if this
- 27:32Speaker 4: takes running back out of the top one hundred in
- 27:35Speaker 4: terms of the needs, and now maybe it's just a
- 27:37Speaker 4: Day three need to add, you know, another back into
- 27:40Speaker 4: the mix, then at least you can look at it
- 27:42Speaker 4: that way and say, all right, you know you don't
- 27:44Speaker 4: have to use your the thirty fourth overall pick in
- 27:47Speaker 4: the second round on and running back now because you
- 27:49Speaker 4: have Stevenson under contract. You have Gibson under contract, so
- 27:53Speaker 4: you're more set in that position. And I would be
- 27:56Speaker 4: even more grotesquely upset if they took a running back early,
- 28:00Speaker 4: So like that's even worse than paying one. So, like
- 28:03Speaker 4: I guess in that sense. It's it's a little bit
- 28:05Speaker 4: of a positive that they have something there now to
- 28:09Speaker 4: show for it. Over that was a big thing there
- 28:12Speaker 4: their roster really after twenty this year, you know, there's
- 28:15Speaker 4: a lot of guys that are up for free agency.
- 28:18Speaker 4: Now you know, they've extended a few of them, but
- 28:20Speaker 4: they don't have a whole lot of money dedicated to
- 28:22Speaker 4: the next couple of years. So now you know, you
- 28:26Speaker 4: do have to have some people under contract.
- 28:28Speaker 6: There's not very many guys under a contract through twenty
- 28:31Speaker 6: eight right.
- 28:31Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, I know it's low.
- 28:32Speaker 6: I mean, and now he would he would be one
- 28:34Speaker 6: now r yeah, yeah, his bar more. Also, they both
- 28:38Speaker 6: get those extensions a year ahead, so they've tacked off.
- 28:42Speaker 7: It's five years there. Five years. Yeah. So one more
- 28:45Speaker 7: little bit of Patriots news before we get into some
- 28:48Speaker 7: off season nonsense. So, so you've got some emails coming in,
- 28:50Speaker 7: be sure send us an email, web radio at Patriots
- 28:52Speaker 7: dot com, give us a call a five fat Pat's
- 28:55Speaker 7: five hundred. But today, crazy, we've announced all of the
- 29:00Speaker 7: any camp dates. If you were used to, hey, here's
- 29:02Speaker 7: your first three days and then we'll let you know
- 29:04Speaker 7: those days earlier.
- 29:05Speaker 4: If you liked it the way Bill did it.
- 29:07Speaker 7: Or home run hold on? So thirteen practices which will culminate.
- 29:12Speaker 7: I guess what day is the eight thirteenth, So August
- 29:16Speaker 7: thirteenth will be the joint practice, just one against the
- 29:18Speaker 7: Eagles to prevent some fights, I guess. But otherwise Wednesday,
- 29:22Speaker 7: July twenty fourth, which is a month from yesterday, training
- 29:25Speaker 7: camp will open all practices a little bit later as well. Paul,
- 29:28Speaker 7: we used to have about nine o'clock usually, Well, I'm
- 29:31Speaker 7: a little disappointed at that to be toasty.
- 29:33Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, can we do some inside baseball on the
- 29:35Speaker 4: timing because nobody cares now except us.
- 29:38Speaker 7: Well, eleven o'clock people want to come watch. It's not
- 29:40Speaker 7: going to be a morning. But you're right tease about
- 29:42Speaker 7: the heat, especially if you're gonna come watch and sit
- 29:44Speaker 7: on those on those benches there, which is I think
- 29:47Speaker 7: the hottest place of this sun be a little hotter
- 29:50Speaker 7: from eleven to one is.
- 29:53Speaker 4: At first, when I heard this, I was like, oh,
- 29:55Speaker 4: that's good, because now I don't have to wake up
- 29:57Speaker 4: at like six o'clock in the morning to be here
- 29:59Speaker 4: by eight thirty eight the opposite, right, And then but
- 30:02Speaker 4: then I thought about it some more. But then I'm like, yeah,
- 30:05Speaker 4: but then we were done by like yep two or
- 30:07Speaker 4: three and we were out of here and we had
- 30:09Speaker 4: the rest of our day. Yeah, I mean, trust nobody cares,
- 30:14Speaker 4: nor should you, but the eleven it changes things. Yeah,
- 30:17Speaker 4: it definitely changes our our schedule throughout training camp.
- 30:20Speaker 6: But you already know all of the dates right now
- 30:23Speaker 6: and you can find those. I'm sure that our listeners
- 30:25Speaker 6: have already found them because they're a little bit, you know,
- 30:28Speaker 6: more nuanced than the average fan patriot.
- 30:31Speaker 8: Yeah, and I think it's great too, especially for the
- 30:33Speaker 8: people like you always see fans that travel from so far.
- 30:36Speaker 8: They can really go ahead and lockdown hotelsbs, whatever it
- 30:39Speaker 8: is and plan their trip.
- 30:41Speaker 7: Which let's just take a second to pitch it to people,
- 30:44Speaker 7: because if you haven't gone to the c training camp,
- 30:47Speaker 7: I mean I would say do it over a preseason game.
- 30:49Speaker 7: It's free, there's entertainment for the kids. You're close, you know,
- 30:53Speaker 7: especially if you come for the Eagles to joint practice,
- 30:55Speaker 7: you're gonna see some real competitive periods.
- 30:57Speaker 6: You're gonna see you know, probably Drake Man Juice and
- 30:59Speaker 6: tomorrow right know, hyping the crowd.
- 31:01Speaker 7: We're gonna hype the crowd whipping them into a into
- 31:04Speaker 7: a frenzy. But it's a great time and just to
- 31:07Speaker 7: you know, if you're a Patriots fan and you have
- 31:08Speaker 7: a chance to make it out for training camp, it's
- 31:10Speaker 7: it's a great day. Bring your sun screen though, because
- 31:13Speaker 7: it does if it does get hot, but there's plenty
- 31:14Speaker 7: of refreshments and it's just a great thing for the
- 31:18Speaker 7: fans and and hopefully we can get some good energy
- 31:20Speaker 7: in to see some of these some of these young guys.
- 31:23Speaker 7: So I don't know anything else on training camp.
- 31:25Speaker 4: Is different, Vieah. There's one joint practice. It's here with Philly,
- 31:29Speaker 4: so we're not going on the road at all, and
- 31:31Speaker 4: except for the preseason obviously, but it just you know,
- 31:34Speaker 4: we know the times already. It's gonna be later in
- 31:36Speaker 4: the day, so it's it's definitely gonna be different.
- 31:38Speaker 7: It's nice to just kind of have things sized up
- 31:40Speaker 7: instead of you know, we I don't know what's going
- 31:42Speaker 7: on next weekend, like we don't know, and now we
- 31:44Speaker 7: know what days we have off.
- 31:45Speaker 3: It'll be so tough. It'd be like Friday practically wrap up.
- 31:48Speaker 3: You're like, so do I need to come in tomorrow
- 31:49Speaker 3: or Monday?
- 31:51Speaker 8: Friday and you don't know if you're gonna have practices, Yeah, because.
- 31:54Speaker 7: You want to get home for Friday to have a
- 31:56Speaker 7: bud Light and because easy to drink, easy to enjoy.
- 31:59Speaker 7: Bud Light the official beer sponsor for the New England Patriots,
- 32:01Speaker 7: which actually the I don't know if this is legal,
- 32:03Speaker 7: Palm will go to you on this. But my son
- 32:05Speaker 7: won the Little League World World Series. Was a Little
- 32:08Speaker 7: League Major's championship in our town.
- 32:10Speaker 6: But the coach hand and say it was sham.
- 32:12Speaker 7: It was sharing right right, It was a It was
- 32:14Speaker 7: a nail bighter. But but right after the victory, we
- 32:17Speaker 7: the coach handing, he slipp me a bud Light and
- 32:20Speaker 7: a cup too, he thought, and I'm like, I can
- 32:22Speaker 7: I drink on it? Now?
- 32:24Speaker 6: Do you recall when I was talking about to league
- 32:27Speaker 6: champions that I specifically remember, right, you remember that story?
- 32:32Speaker 6: I specifically remember growing up and there was this guy
- 32:34Speaker 6: who coached one of the other teams and we're just
- 32:36Speaker 6: like waiting to practice, and he had like a beer can,
- 32:40Speaker 6: but he had the wrap around the pepsira that was
- 32:42Speaker 6: like a pepsi thing, and I remember him drinking it,
- 32:46Speaker 6: throwing it away and taking it and we're like look,
- 32:48Speaker 6: and he gave us a wink as he's putting it
- 32:51Speaker 6: in his pocket. And I'm like, this was probably like
- 32:54Speaker 6: nineteen seventy seven. You would like to think that doesn't
- 32:57Speaker 6: happen anymore and this day and a but well.
- 33:01Speaker 7: Our head coach was very excited. I told Paul this.
- 33:03Speaker 7: He like, right after we won, his wife came running
- 33:06Speaker 7: over with like a shopping bag, like what's going on here?
- 33:09Speaker 7: And he pulls out she bought like ten uh like
- 33:12Speaker 7: Seltzer waters flavored Seltzer waters too, And so he had
- 33:16Speaker 7: everybody get around and shake them all up, you know,
- 33:19Speaker 7: in the midfield. He's like, oh, we should all brought
- 33:21Speaker 7: our goggles to So yeah, it was. It was crazy.
- 33:24Speaker 7: He was very excited.
- 33:24Speaker 6: So you know, that's fun.
- 33:26Speaker 7: That's the Seltzer water thing. I haven't always seen that.
- 33:28Speaker 6: That's kind of fun.
- 33:29Speaker 7: There was. It was flavored.
- 33:31Speaker 6: Very had to hope no one saw it now that.
- 33:34Speaker 7: You're just told did the hundreds of It's easy to
- 33:39Speaker 7: drink and it's easy to enjoy. What was I going
- 33:41Speaker 7: to pass it out?
- 33:42Speaker 6: I mean, it is and you can't. You can't just
- 33:44Speaker 6: have someone hand one to you, you know, easy to disguise.
- 33:47Speaker 6: I was, you know, pouring it in my red cup.
- 33:49Speaker 6: It was like, you know, you're back in the college days.
- 33:51Speaker 6: You got to you got to do that.
- 33:52Speaker 7: But uh, well, I think we set the table pretty
- 33:55Speaker 7: well here, Paul. It did a great job. We do great.
- 34:00Speaker 10: Good god Shaw Stevenson's We're too much on the rails
- 34:03Speaker 10: though right now I'm getting you can tell well, that's
- 34:06Speaker 10: why we got we got some emails that I gotta
- 34:08Speaker 10: I gotta dive in here.
- 34:10Speaker 7: I don't know, I'm just gonna haven't read this one,
- 34:12Speaker 7: but let's just dive in, Paul. I have a self
- 34:14Speaker 7: propelled Cobalt push mower, and I have a quarter lot,
- 34:17Speaker 7: and I come ow my yards twice on one charge.
- 34:20Speaker 7: My question is, what are some weird, satisfying things you
- 34:23Speaker 7: all like. I enjoy the smell of gasoline in the morning,
- 34:26Speaker 7: when you drop a large rock in the water from
- 34:28Speaker 7: a distance and see it splash. That's a Christopher VA
- 34:31Speaker 7: A couple of random ones. I mean, I've spoken on
- 34:34Speaker 7: record how much love mow and law though that's like
- 34:37Speaker 7: I do. I do think you just look at it
- 34:39Speaker 7: and the line. Matter of fact, I may leave shortly
- 34:41Speaker 7: after this program today to go home and mold, Alan,
- 34:45Speaker 7: that's gonna feel good. I don't know what do you
- 34:46Speaker 7: guys think anybody.
- 34:47Speaker 9: Gotta breaking ice? We're breaking like if you take ice
- 34:51Speaker 9: like out of like a bucket or something, stuff that
- 34:53Speaker 9: just froze overnight and then you just.
- 34:55Speaker 3: Drop it and it shatters.
- 34:56Speaker 7: Satisfying.
- 34:57Speaker 8: Oh yeah, that is strange.
- 34:58Speaker 3: You've never seen those those? Oh, come on talking to
- 35:02Speaker 3: theirs the same thing?
- 35:05Speaker 7: Pressure one? Are those things? The pneumatic press that like
- 35:07Speaker 7: all the like three different teams did the hydraulic what
- 35:12Speaker 7: did I call it? It was so pay as a
- 35:15Speaker 7: whole entity. Some people find that enter, some people find satisfying.
- 35:20Speaker 7: Did like seventeen teams did?
- 35:23Speaker 3: Well, it's not wrong.
- 35:24Speaker 4: I mean, how many more teams are you?
- 35:29Speaker 7: Uh? A question from Scars Travis in West Virginia after
- 35:34Speaker 7: the twelve six twelve twenty four event. Paul mentioned that
- 35:36Speaker 7: a common theme he heard was that the ceremony offered
- 35:38Speaker 7: closure for a lot of people. Do you feel this
- 35:40Speaker 7: is normal? Should people need closure for sports or sports figures? Personally?
- 35:44Speaker 7: I feel those people should see counseling and not watch
- 35:47Speaker 7: sports in the first place. Thanks Travis, I I yeah,
- 35:51Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 35:52Speaker 6: The point I was trying to make and it was
- 35:55Speaker 6: just that a lot of those people that were part
- 35:58Speaker 6: of the Tom Brady Knight left and you know, like
- 36:02Speaker 6: you didn't know they were leaving.
- 36:03Speaker 3: They get their flowers, Yeah, you.
- 36:05Speaker 6: Know what I'm I mean obviously Tom, but like Randy Moss, Welker, Gronk,
- 36:11Speaker 6: these these are like iconic figures of the Patriots who
- 36:15Speaker 6: all left not necessarily of their own accord, and the
- 36:19Speaker 6: fans didn't really get a chance to you know, send
- 36:22Speaker 6: them off.
- 36:23Speaker 7: Ye.
- 36:23Speaker 6: And it's not like when I say that, like they
- 36:25Speaker 6: needed closure. It's not like the fans were like in
- 36:27Speaker 6: therapy for the last five years.
- 36:30Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 36:31Speaker 6: I thought that was what the Randy Moss ovation was
- 36:33Speaker 6: to me, was that like he left in the middle
- 36:35Speaker 6: of the season and the fans had no idea he
- 36:38Speaker 6: was gonna leave.
- 36:39Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 36:39Speaker 8: I would say the same thing with Bill too. I
- 36:41Speaker 8: would say the ovation that Bill got too, Like the
- 36:44Speaker 8: fans didn't get to properly think Bill. It wasn't like
- 36:47Speaker 8: the Jets game that they got, you know, three minutes
- 36:49Speaker 8: to clap for him after that game.
- 36:50Speaker 7: They didn't know.
- 36:51Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, And that was the only point I
- 36:53Speaker 6: was trying to make about the closure when you know
- 36:55Speaker 6: someone's leaving, if someone's announced their retirement or whatever, you
- 36:59Speaker 6: get a chance to properly send them off, not because
- 37:02Speaker 6: like well you gotta get perspective in life because you need.
- 37:05Speaker 7: No, that's not what I meant. It's just yeah, hours
- 37:08Speaker 7: I watched I watched the You told me to watch
- 37:11Speaker 7: the All Access which they did the behind the scenes.
- 37:13Speaker 6: But I told you to watch it.
- 37:15Speaker 7: Yeah, he said, I did you watch it? And I
- 37:16Speaker 7: said I hadn't watched it, and then I didn't watch it.
- 37:18Speaker 7: But I love just the recap of kind of the show,
- 37:21Speaker 7: which it kind of condensed it down into twenty minutes.
- 37:23Speaker 7: I was, but it was like, wow, it made the
- 37:25Speaker 7: highlights look really good. But but like go right down
- 37:27Speaker 7: the list, like Willie McGinnis played for the Browns, Tylaw
- 37:29Speaker 7: was on the Jets for a period of time, like
- 37:31Speaker 7: Vince wilferk ended up on the Texans.
- 37:33Speaker 6: There's so many of those guys that didn't. I mean,
- 37:35Speaker 6: now most of those guys got a chance because they're
- 37:37Speaker 6: all in the Hall of Fame. Yeah right, But like Moss,
- 37:40Speaker 6: Welcome Gronk, you know, obviously Brady in that back castle,
- 37:45Speaker 6: right about Bill, because I think that the like the
- 37:49Speaker 6: Dynasty documentary, I think got a lot of people upset
- 37:53Speaker 6: about the treatment for Bill, and I think that was
- 37:55Speaker 6: part of that.
- 37:56Speaker 7: Ovation as well. Yeah, and the word that came to
- 37:58Speaker 7: my mind wasn't necessarily closure. I mean, I do see
- 38:00Speaker 7: the closure, but it's just a celebration of how awesome
- 38:03Speaker 7: it was, and you know, some of the behind the
- 38:05Speaker 7: scenes stuff that I thought was cool in the All
- 38:07Speaker 7: Access piece was was Randy and Wes Uh and Edelman
- 38:12Speaker 7: and Gronk talking before they went on stage, and and
- 38:14Speaker 7: Randy was, you know, first kind of talking about how
- 38:17Speaker 7: you know, he and Wes kind of were they're early
- 38:19Speaker 7: and then Edelman and Gronk carried on. But like Randy's
- 38:22Speaker 7: given like West, you remember this like signating He'd be
- 38:24Speaker 7: like in the middle of his cake, I'm not doing it.
- 38:27Speaker 7: Randy's just like like and he'd make like this little
- 38:29Speaker 7: fake signal that Brady would make. And both Edelman and
- 38:31Speaker 7: Wes were like, you know that forget what the word was?
- 38:34Speaker 6: They said, you remember you remember like he get like
- 38:37Speaker 6: you know, and and then Welker's like, yeah, it was
- 38:39Speaker 6: like right, but just you know that that was.
- 38:43Speaker 7: What was cool. Every It's like, actually, I think when
- 38:47Speaker 7: we when we get Yeah, when we did the show
- 38:50Speaker 7: a couple of weeks ago, I felt like I was
- 38:51Speaker 7: so still in it and you know, just kind of
- 38:53Speaker 7: getting over now we've had some distance from it. It's
- 38:56Speaker 7: it was really cool. It was just cool with celebration
- 38:58Speaker 7: and to see, you know, when it was edited it
- 39:00Speaker 7: down to the just the highlight moments, you realize just
- 39:03Speaker 7: how much of an impact all these different guys you know,
- 39:06Speaker 7: made over the course of the last twenty years. And
- 39:08Speaker 7: that was to me just it was awesome. It was
- 39:10Speaker 7: so fun. It was just cool to have a chance
- 39:12Speaker 7: to let everybody kind of let out all the angst
- 39:15Speaker 7: and everything for people leaving and everything. You know, it's
- 39:17Speaker 7: just it became a celebration of that twenty years. That
- 39:19Speaker 7: was awesome, And you know, I think it was much needed.
- 39:22Speaker 7: I don't know, I as the more I get away
- 39:24Speaker 7: from it, the more I'm like, what a night? How
- 39:26Speaker 7: did that?
- 39:26Speaker 6: How did that happen to like a celebration of the
- 39:30Speaker 6: dynasty more than just.
- 39:31Speaker 4: A celebration of Brady. Yeah, because and I think that
- 39:33Speaker 4: as much as we picked on you about the the
- 39:37Speaker 4: what are they called the panels panels, as much as
- 39:40Speaker 4: they picked on you about those that did kind of
- 39:42Speaker 4: set the stage of the generations, and you know, he
- 39:45Speaker 4: was here the whole time, but Willie wasn't and Tyla wasn't.
- 39:49Speaker 4: And then they passed the torch to Devin and then
- 39:51Speaker 4: you know, it kept on going and going, and uh
- 39:54Speaker 4: that it felt like it was it was. It could
- 39:57Speaker 4: have easily been called like we're going to celebrate this
- 40:00Speaker 4: dynasty night, and it would have been kind of the
- 40:03Speaker 4: same thing. It would have been mostly about Tom, but
- 40:05Speaker 4: it was also a lot of it. It was about
- 40:07Speaker 4: other things. And I feel like Randy moss is he
- 40:10Speaker 4: talks so much about how he's the only one without
- 40:13Speaker 4: a ring, you know, and he's like so disappointed about that.
- 40:16Speaker 4: And I feel like that applause was also partially like,
- 40:19Speaker 4: you know, well we won six other times, so it's
- 40:22Speaker 4: okay that you didn't get like we're okay with it.
- 40:24Speaker 4: You know, it's fine, We're all okay with it. Like
- 40:26Speaker 4: you're still we can recognize, you know, how great you
- 40:29Speaker 4: were and all that kind of stuff.
- 40:30Speaker 9: It's crazy because, like, as we're saying, it's kind of
- 40:32Speaker 9: felt like a big reunion, but just showed how long
- 40:34Speaker 9: it was because you have Willia mcginnison, Drew bledsoe there,
- 40:36Speaker 9: but then like, you know, dude, we're standing next to
- 40:38Speaker 9: Safan Gilmour, which low key was three years ago. But
- 40:40Speaker 9: like that's just like the complete opposite end of the dynasty.
- 40:43Speaker 9: So it was just great, yeah, more or less great
- 40:47Speaker 9: to just see everybody there. So, I don't know, it's
- 40:49Speaker 9: just it was. It was very special as a fan
- 40:50Speaker 9: to be there.
- 40:51Speaker 7: This is a good Celtics question. Was just delete thought, Wow,
- 40:57Speaker 7: I'm riding, I'm in charge today. It's a good question. No,
- 41:00Speaker 7: I don't know. It was a really long It's just
- 41:02Speaker 7: a Selta sunfilter, all right. I'll just jump into it
- 41:04Speaker 7: a little bit of it.
- 41:05Speaker 4: Definitely doesn't like that, doesn't like it.
- 41:07Speaker 7: I just I don't know if there's even a question
- 41:09Speaker 7: in here, but I'm gonna read the first In the
- 41:10Speaker 7: last paragraph, I just want to chime in. This is
- 41:12Speaker 7: from Matt and Devon Uk. I just wanted to chime
- 41:15Speaker 7: in on the NBA talk from last week. I was
- 41:16Speaker 7: an avid NBA viewer from two thousand and two about
- 41:19Speaker 7: twenty eighteen, but just cannot watch it anymore, not because
- 41:21Speaker 7: the old timer from last week complaining about the style
- 41:23Speaker 7: of play. I think it's just the evolution of the game.
- 41:26Speaker 7: For me, it's because of the Lebron effect. I think
- 41:29Speaker 7: that Lebron has killed the NBA because instead of being
- 41:31Speaker 7: like the greats who believed in their own talents and
- 41:33Speaker 7: worked hard to improve and win, Lebron realized that he
- 41:36Speaker 7: couldn't win unless he had a super team, so had
- 41:38Speaker 7: four Hall of famers on the Miami team to help
- 41:40Speaker 7: him win. I'm a Lakers fan, but I'm happy the
- 41:43Speaker 7: Celtics won as I like the way they built their
- 41:45Speaker 7: core through the draft and their players didn't keep jumping
- 41:47Speaker 7: ship when they were coming up. So if you guys
- 41:48Speaker 7: want to pine on the Lebron of it all, there's
- 41:51Speaker 7: definitely an element to that.
- 41:52Speaker 4: But I actually think it's starting to come back the
- 41:54Speaker 4: other direction, which is good for the league. But last
- 41:57Speaker 4: handful of champions you have Celtics homegrown, Denver homegrown, Golden
- 42:03Speaker 4: State homegrown, Milwaukee homegrown. H last what four or five
- 42:11Speaker 4: titles have been draft developed type teams. So there was
- 42:16Speaker 4: definitely an era that he's gonna take my talents to
- 42:19Speaker 4: South Beach like that definitely.
- 42:20Speaker 6: Had and Durant, you know, sort of went and did
- 42:23Speaker 6: it with Golden State.
- 42:24Speaker 3: But then he didn't do it with Phoenix.
- 42:26Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 42:26Speaker 6: Well, I mean he's a little older now. But yeah,
- 42:29Speaker 6: the teams that are trying to do that now are
- 42:31Speaker 6: losing to the teams as ever just said that are homegrown. Now,
- 42:35Speaker 6: this is just proof that you can't please everyone, because
- 42:38Speaker 6: now the complaint is there's too much parody. Right, you know,
- 42:41Speaker 6: you got a different I think this is six different
- 42:43Speaker 6: title winners the last six years. What happened to the Dynasties. Well,
- 42:47Speaker 6: when they had the Dynasties, you didn't like that, Yeah, right,
- 42:49Speaker 6: you know.
- 42:50Speaker 4: Like even Dallas Lucas obviously a draft pick, and then
- 42:53Speaker 4: Edwards with Minnesota, that team is going to be good
- 42:55Speaker 4: for a while with him, Like all these guys were drafted.
- 42:58Speaker 6: Yeah, Minnesota is an exempt those kinds of teams.
- 43:01Speaker 4: I don't necessarily. I hear what the email are saying
- 43:03Speaker 4: that there was definitely an era or that.
- 43:05Speaker 7: Yeah, and that bothered me.
- 43:06Speaker 6: I'm with I'm with the email, like I because to me,
- 43:08Speaker 6: it's one thing. And I know this is going to
- 43:11Speaker 6: sound like the most homerrific statement ever. But like in
- 43:14Speaker 6: oh wait, you can make an argument that the Celtics
- 43:16Speaker 6: were ahead of the curve with a you know, super team,
- 43:20Speaker 6: you know, rigging it. But they made trades like Minnesota
- 43:25Speaker 6: wanted to trade Garnett. Garnett didn't want to come to
- 43:28Speaker 6: the Celtics. They had to really convince him, and that's
- 43:31Speaker 6: why they went out and got ray Allen because it
- 43:33Speaker 6: sort of helped convinced. So it's not the same as
- 43:36Speaker 6: Lebron said, Hey, I'm gonna sign with Miami, so everybody
- 43:40Speaker 6: else did too. Like to me, there's a difference there.
- 43:43Speaker 6: And I don't like Lebron and and that, you know,
- 43:45Speaker 6: so that kind of bothered me. I'm with the emailer
- 43:48Speaker 6: on that.
- 43:48Speaker 7: But do you like Bronni? That's gonna be funny.
- 43:53Speaker 8: I don't think he's ready.
- 43:54Speaker 6: That's gonna be funny.
- 43:55Speaker 8: He's not ready.
- 43:56Speaker 7: Did you know a football? There's no food for us.
- 43:58Speaker 6: We have no food.
- 43:59Speaker 7: Oh jeez, unless you did you want food? No? No,
- 44:01Speaker 7: I just like you know, that's that's what we usually do.
- 44:03Speaker 7: We order pizza.
- 44:04Speaker 6: I figured I was leaving shortly after the show. I
- 44:06Speaker 6: didn't really need to.
- 44:08Speaker 7: Uh, well, this is this is another a little off
- 44:11Speaker 7: the beaten path story or a question here from Kyle
- 44:15Speaker 7: Kyle Pembroke. Uh do you guys have a favorite story
- 44:18Speaker 7: about meeting a celebrity minus Last year, on our final
- 44:21Speaker 7: day at Disney World, my girlfriend and I were sat
- 44:23Speaker 7: next to the one and only Rob Nikovich and his
- 44:26Speaker 7: family at breakfast. I waited until they were done to
- 44:29Speaker 7: finally say hi because I didn't want to be a
- 44:31Speaker 7: rude fan. He was really nice and even to talk
- 44:33Speaker 7: a picture take a picture with me without asking h
- 44:35Speaker 7: I it made my day and it honestly made the
- 44:37Speaker 7: vacation better. Do you meet Rob Nikovitch? Paul? I have?
- 44:42Speaker 6: I'm not sure, like I have anybody that would call it.
- 44:45Speaker 6: I mean, it's and this is gonna sound obnoxious, and
- 44:47Speaker 6: I don't mean it. They're not celebrities toss yeah, because
- 44:50Speaker 6: we come players, right, so like to me, it would
- 44:53Speaker 6: have to be someone outside of sports. And I don't
- 44:55Speaker 6: know that I've been jal around.
- 44:58Speaker 8: I have one.
- 44:59Speaker 7: I didn't meet her. Well, I mean we did, you
- 45:02Speaker 7: didn't have a moment.
- 45:02Speaker 8: We did enjoy a moment, But I would I would
- 45:05Speaker 8: agree with Paul in the sense that, like, I don't
- 45:07Speaker 8: look at any of these athletes as celebrities.
- 45:09Speaker 7: They're just Yeah, what about real celebrities? Though? You ever
- 45:12Speaker 7: meet law and order, Like what if Jerry Orbach was
- 45:15Speaker 7: walking to.
- 45:15Speaker 8: Risk meetings aka Olivia Benson. Right, that was one that
- 45:20Speaker 8: was probably the coolest state my life.
- 45:22Speaker 6: That's that is the coolest meeting that I could ever
- 45:25Speaker 6: imagine anyone. And I'm being dead serious, like for her,
- 45:28Speaker 6: for Tamara to meet her, Oh, it's just so perfect.
- 45:32Speaker 7: It reminded me of the time I a friend of
- 45:34Speaker 7: mine named Angelica Witherspoon Casanova. It's a really cool name.
- 45:37Speaker 7: She's a huge star Trek fan. And uh, and and
- 45:40Speaker 7: number two came in. Doesn't even know who number two is. God,
- 45:43Speaker 7: it's Jonathan Fraakes, I think is his name. He's a
- 45:45Speaker 7: big stakes correct, thank you, Matt, Matt Morrell. I knew
- 45:48Speaker 7: you would know. I'm not a star Trek guy. But
- 45:51Speaker 7: she was a huge and and and he came into
- 45:54Speaker 7: the office and she met him, and she would like
- 45:56Speaker 7: was like and he was so nice to her, like
- 45:59Speaker 7: and called her a trekker because I guess treky is
- 46:00Speaker 7: kind of like they don't like to be mad. Is
- 46:02Speaker 7: that right? Treky's bad. It's trekker, correct, trekker is And
- 46:05Speaker 7: he's like, oh, you're a trekker and went right, So
- 46:07Speaker 7: that was I mean it was not for me, but
- 46:08Speaker 7: for somebody kind of similar to that huge fan of
- 46:10Speaker 7: a show and then to get to actually meet somebody
- 46:12Speaker 7: from the show. But what about you. Haven't you got
- 46:14Speaker 7: anybody in the LA while you were out there gallivanting around.
- 46:18Speaker 4: I'm sure there was, but nobody memorable. To be honest,
- 46:22Speaker 4: I didn't meet Draco Malfoy one time. He was at
- 46:26Speaker 4: a bar that we were at that which was hilarious
- 46:29Speaker 4: because it was like that's very as you know, like
- 46:32Speaker 4: those types of like sealless level celebrities are just always
- 46:35Speaker 4: like around and in LA and it's like Wizard, it's
- 46:39Speaker 4: like not even cool to meet them. They're just like
- 46:41Speaker 4: it's kind of like how we feel about the Patriots,
- 46:43Speaker 4: like they're just there're still people, you know.
- 46:45Speaker 7: But to other people that's like what you know.
- 46:48Speaker 6: So I will say, Bobby Yorke called the Herald once.
- 46:53Speaker 7: And I answered, or do you have a grip about it?
- 46:55Speaker 6: No, he was looking for Joe Fitzgerald at the time,
- 46:58Speaker 6: and when I hung up the phone, I called my bother.
- 47:00Speaker 7: It's like Bobby would just call it. Yeah.
- 47:03Speaker 4: I would say, like that's what I would say for
- 47:05Speaker 4: slet like athletes that aren't on the Patriots that we
- 47:08Speaker 4: don't see all the time, you know, Like I run
- 47:10Speaker 4: into Brad marsha on and Starbucks all the time, and
- 47:13Speaker 4: every single time I do, I'm like, this is the
- 47:15Speaker 4: best thing ever.
- 47:18Speaker 7: Yeah cool, Yeah, well hey man, yeah yeah. And it's
- 47:22Speaker 7: so funny because that time you lick the guy's face. Yeah,
- 47:26Speaker 7: that was cool.
- 47:27Speaker 4: He literally goes into into Starbucks after I wasn't there
- 47:32Speaker 4: at this time, but he went into Starbucks after they
- 47:37Speaker 4: beat Toronto in game seven, like just this year, and
- 47:40Speaker 4: just walks in and is like order for Brad and
- 47:43Speaker 4: like of course everybody turns around and is like so
- 47:46Speaker 4: of course he has to stay there and take pictures
- 47:48Speaker 4: with like fifteen people and everything. But yeah, he he
- 47:51Speaker 4: goes to the Starbucks. I don't want to give away
- 47:54Speaker 4: which one. Yeah, but he goes to a Starbucks near
- 47:57Speaker 4: the garden.
- 47:58Speaker 8: I'm Jess isn't the one who's picking up Starbucks orders, because.
- 48:01Speaker 4: Well, the first time that it happened, she she was like,
- 48:05Speaker 4: we need to go back.
- 48:05Speaker 7: I don't want to go back.
- 48:06Speaker 4: It was no, And I was like, no, we can't
- 48:09Speaker 4: go back, Like that's extra, Like I've already I already
- 48:12Speaker 4: said good luck to him like being pat you know, casually,
- 48:15Speaker 4: like we're not going to go back.
- 48:16Speaker 3: He pat my dog in the Charlestown.
- 48:21Speaker 7: My puppy. That happened.
- 48:25Speaker 4: Wow's not on the burns anymore.
- 48:27Speaker 7: But happened with Taylor Hall.
- 48:29Speaker 4: So Taylor Hall had a dog and had a.
- 48:33Speaker 7: A Visla and Alice.
- 48:36Speaker 4: No, no, they did play together in the dog park though,
- 48:40Speaker 4: And I was and I was like looking at him,
- 48:43Speaker 4: and I was like, pretty sure that's Taylor Hall. But
- 48:46Speaker 4: I like wasn't one hundred percent sure. So I didn't
- 48:48Speaker 4: want to just be like, you know, you're Taylor Hall, right,
- 48:50Speaker 4: So I just kind of like played it cool.
- 48:52Speaker 9: But it was definitely I met the guy who played
- 48:55Speaker 9: Fan grey Joy from Game of Thrones. Oh yeah, that
- 49:00Speaker 9: it was real, path it was. He wasn't sober, let's say,
- 49:03Speaker 9: I'll leave it at that, but he was a cool guy.
- 49:05Speaker 8: I would love to meet. I would love to meet
- 49:07Speaker 8: Sandra Bullock.
- 49:08Speaker 3: I think that's another one that I would I thought,
- 49:11Speaker 3: Tammy Taylor and.
- 49:14Speaker 7: Right, you just want to say that to her.
- 49:16Speaker 6: I'm a big fan.
- 49:16Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 49:18Speaker 6: One more, actually I'm a big fan because I think
- 49:24Speaker 6: she saw it. One more that was pretty apparently my.
- 49:27Speaker 7: Tone, no one more patriots, question guys, and Paul and
- 49:30Speaker 7: I actually mentioned this. Mike Reese had some notes in
- 49:32Speaker 7: his Sunday column this week. He mentioned Josh as one
- 49:35Speaker 7: guy practicing off to the side, speculating perhaps he might not,
- 49:38Speaker 7: you know, be happy. I meant to talk to you
- 49:40Speaker 7: off air about that with the deal. Oh right, maybe
- 49:42Speaker 7: we can talk about it on here those But but
- 49:44Speaker 7: Yemi and Texas writes in and said, do you guys
- 49:46Speaker 7: think Josh is upset he took somewhat of a pay
- 49:48Speaker 7: cut somewhat while his teammates are all getting paid.
- 49:52Speaker 8: But I thought the article that came out when he
- 49:55Speaker 8: got his deal allegedly said.
- 49:57Speaker 7: That he brown right.
- 50:00Speaker 8: I thought it was cool with the pay cut.
- 50:01Speaker 7: I thought he can't have it both ways.
- 50:03Speaker 8: Which one is it like you got other deals from
- 50:05Speaker 8: other people from her money, but you took less to
- 50:07Speaker 8: stay here because this is where you want to.
- 50:09Speaker 3: Be, and you do how the market was going to be.
- 50:11Speaker 3: So that was a choice on your own.
- 50:12Speaker 6: Yeah, So that that was my takeaway, And that's why
- 50:14Speaker 6: I said I meant to talk about this off there
- 50:17Speaker 6: with Mike, and you just nailed it, like he signed
- 50:21Speaker 6: a one year, three million dollar deal, if I recall,
- 50:25Speaker 6: and he was universally applauded for it, like this guy
- 50:30Speaker 6: could have gotten this from that team and that from
- 50:33Speaker 6: this team, but he wanted to be here. Now, I'm
- 50:36Speaker 6: not telling you what Mike Reese wrote, is you know,
- 50:39Speaker 6: and that's why he was off to the side. Maybe,
- 50:42Speaker 6: But my guess is Mike is right. My guess is
- 50:46Speaker 6: Mike knows that that's one of the guys that Mayo
- 50:48Speaker 6: was talking about when he said, we have a few
- 50:50Speaker 6: guys in that situation. You can't be like sort of
- 50:54Speaker 6: lauded for taking less and then be complaining about your contract.
- 50:58Speaker 6: And again at the time, I said that did not
- 51:01Speaker 6: pass the sniff test. One year, three million dollars he
- 51:04Speaker 6: signs and everybody says, oh, he passed up. No he didn't,
- 51:08Speaker 6: No he didn't. This is telling you he didn't because
- 51:10Speaker 6: if he's now holding out for more money, he didn't
- 51:13Speaker 6: have options to get more money.
- 51:14Speaker 4: But that's that's the concern that we were talking about earlier.
- 51:17Speaker 4: Of now everybody's gonna come knocking on the door looking
- 51:19Speaker 4: for more money when you're giving out contracts left and right,
- 51:24Speaker 4: and you these players are fully aware that they have
- 51:28Speaker 4: forty five million dollars in cap space that they're sitting.
- 51:31Speaker 4: Of course, they're fully aware of that, so they're like,
- 51:34Speaker 4: you're giving out contracts left and right. Pat's cap has
- 51:38Speaker 4: forty five million dollars is a salary cap number, so
- 51:41Speaker 4: it's not gonna hurt you in terms of the bottom line.
- 51:44Speaker 4: Where's mine? And Joshua Ouja is another example of a
- 51:47Speaker 4: guy that all you were right, like, he has no
- 51:50Speaker 4: leg to stand on. You signed the contract, But at
- 51:53Speaker 4: the same time he's gonna look at it and say, well,
- 51:56Speaker 4: where's mine.
- 51:57Speaker 7: Yeah, it's in Cincinnati or somewhere right, And.
- 52:00Speaker 6: I do you know the premise of why he stayed here?
- 52:05Speaker 6: I agree with he probably really felt it was important
- 52:08Speaker 6: that he wanted to stay here, So in doing so,
- 52:10Speaker 6: there's probably some truth.
- 52:12Speaker 7: It's like they're never black and white, there's probably some.
- 52:14Speaker 6: Truth in the fact. Yeah, I'll take I'll take one
- 52:16Speaker 6: one and okay, I want to be here. I believe
- 52:19Speaker 6: in girod Mayo. I want to But then he, like
- 52:21Speaker 6: Evan says, now he starts to see all of these guys,
- 52:24Speaker 6: some of which weren't even free agents, getting contracts, and
- 52:28Speaker 6: now he's like, well, wait a minute. Like I said,
- 52:30Speaker 6: I wanted to be.
- 52:30Speaker 11: Here, but now I've gotten I've gotten taken people and
- 52:35Speaker 11: I did talk and I know that Mayo and Wolf
- 52:39Speaker 11: have said a lot of the stuff throughout the offseason,
- 52:42Speaker 11: but I did get a chance to talk to Gerrod
- 52:43Speaker 11: specifically about the desire to keep as many players that
- 52:48Speaker 11: he felt comfortable with and that was important to him.
- 52:50Speaker 7: All the stuff that we've talked about, we sort of.
- 52:52Speaker 6: You know, opined on like why when you and Dougar
- 52:57Speaker 6: and Henry and born And there's a for that because
- 53:00Speaker 6: they wanted they felt comfortable with the guys that they knew,
- 53:04Speaker 6: and wanted to pay those guys and keep them as
- 53:07Speaker 6: part of the nucleus and part of the culture building.
- 53:10Speaker 6: And I think is probably in that, but like there is,
- 53:12Speaker 6: I think Evan's right. When you want to try to
- 53:15Speaker 6: establish that you're going to do things a little bit
- 53:17Speaker 6: of a different way and you want to sort of
- 53:18Speaker 6: be player friendly, you do have to run the risk
- 53:22Speaker 6: of everybody wanting to be treated player friendly, and at
- 53:26Speaker 6: some point they're not all the same. You have to
- 53:29Speaker 6: decide who you want to pay and who you know
- 53:32Speaker 6: who's more important for your culture moving forward. So I
- 53:35Speaker 6: do think you know the fact that Godshaw's looking for
- 53:38Speaker 6: more money, it's probably because he's seen what's gone on
- 53:41Speaker 6: in the off season and there's a new sheriff in town.
- 53:43Speaker 7: Has it ever happened that the guy signed a free
- 53:45Speaker 7: agency deal in March and then gets like he's already
- 53:47Speaker 7: just rested in July, like like he worked so well
- 53:51Speaker 7: in the off season.
- 53:52Speaker 6: I'm so glad that Samara you said that, because that's
- 53:54Speaker 6: the first thing I thought of Sunday. When I read that,
- 53:56Speaker 6: I was like, well, wait a minute. Everybody said that
- 53:58Speaker 6: this guy was like, you know, we thought he was
- 54:00Speaker 6: gruntled and Carnegie for taking less money.
- 54:03Speaker 7: I thought he was gruntled.
- 54:04Speaker 6: Now he's disgrunted. He started to give not even Dale
- 54:10Speaker 6: Dale Carnegie. I think I messed that one.
- 54:14Speaker 7: Sorry. All right, well, nobody's foods here. I believe about
- 54:19Speaker 7: the Celtics, about the Celtics. All right, We're gonna take

- 56:57Speaker 9: couple shows. You didn't get our our reaction to the
- 57:01Speaker 9: TV twelve induction ceremony, So so ten days later, maybe
- 57:06Speaker 9: fifteen days later, you're getting it.
- 57:08Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 57:08Speaker 3: So, Chris, what do you think of the show?
- 57:11Speaker 15: I mean, honestly, I would give it a nine point
- 57:15Speaker 15: to it at ten production. I thought it was awesome.
- 57:17Speaker 15: The whole cast was amazing, you know, just everything about it.
- 57:22Speaker 15: It was so well put together, well well choreographed. I
- 57:27Speaker 15: thought the people that came up to spoke did a
- 57:29Speaker 15: great job. The speeches were awesome, like Bill's speech, it
- 57:34Speaker 15: was unbelievable. Yeah, very powerful. Robert did a great job.
- 57:39Speaker 15: I thought RKK did a great job on stage. So yeah,
- 57:44Speaker 15: I thought, I mean, just really awesome.
- 57:46Speaker 9: Overall it was. I don't really have anything negative to
- 57:50Speaker 9: say about it. It was kind of I mean, I know
- 57:51Speaker 9: they mentioned this on Unfiltered like right after the show,
- 57:55Speaker 9: but like it kind of felt like the only down
- 57:57Speaker 9: side is that it kind of just felt like, you know,
- 58:00Speaker 9: that was really the end, but it was. There was
- 58:03Speaker 9: something sweet about it, a bittersweet, but like just like
- 58:06Speaker 9: seeing Randy get his flowers and even like the Bill situation,
- 58:10Speaker 9: like you know, it didn't end too hot here. Yeah,
- 58:12Speaker 9: but like you know, that press conference wasn't really like
- 58:14Speaker 9: Bill got emotional during the press conference, thinking the fans,
- 58:17Speaker 9: but the fans didn't really get to say goodbye. And
- 58:20Speaker 9: you know he's gonna get his own like ceremony or whatever.
- 58:23Speaker 15: But yeah, that's It'll not to cut you off, but
- 58:25Speaker 15: that'll be an interesting one. I'm curious how that'll be handled.
- 58:28Speaker 15: You can't, I mean, you can't do what you did
- 58:30Speaker 15: for Brady. Yeah, give Bill something.
- 58:33Speaker 3: Yeah, and I don't.
- 58:34Speaker 9: I don't know if he'd want that, but just I mean, dude,
- 58:37Speaker 9: I'm talking. I mean the seven thing was like like
- 58:40Speaker 9: such a crazy season, but just seeing like Randy tearing
- 58:43Speaker 9: up and like I was.
- 58:44Speaker 15: That was that was one of my favorite parts, was
- 58:47Speaker 15: the whole standing ovation for Randy and poor guy I
- 58:50Speaker 15: never got one.
- 58:51Speaker 3: I know. That was one of the best receiver receivers
- 58:53Speaker 3: of all time.
- 58:54Speaker 15: That's wanted.
- 58:56Speaker 9: I also loved Brady shouting out the lineman because that
- 59:00Speaker 9: is just the most unforgiving job back then. Yeah, I mean,
- 59:03Speaker 9: ground and pound and they kept they kept him clean.
- 59:07Speaker 9: One of Brady's best attributes is that he didn't really
- 59:10Speaker 9: miss games due to injury and because those guys were
- 59:12Speaker 9: his wall. Another part I loved is just seeing that
- 59:16Speaker 9: the Brady four, the barstool guys full circle get the
- 59:20Speaker 9: picture with him.
- 59:20Speaker 3: That was awesome.
- 59:21Speaker 7: That was They were great.
- 59:23Speaker 15: I mean, Dave will forever be a New England Patriots
- 59:26Speaker 15: and yeah, that whole the whole crew and what they
- 59:28Speaker 15: did in twenty fourteen twenty fifteen just so much energy
- 59:32Speaker 15: behind it, and.
- 59:33Speaker 9: It kind of because like, I just don't think people
- 59:36Speaker 9: understand how much work went into this, because I mean, Chris,
- 59:39Speaker 9: you you started around here a couple of weeks before
- 59:41Speaker 9: Week one. That was insane in its own.
- 59:44Speaker 15: Yeah, that was my introduction to uh, to the jobs
- 59:47Speaker 15: that we do here.
- 59:48Speaker 3: Yeah, and that was I.
- 59:49Speaker 15: Thought that was gonna be a crazy posting day. I'm
- 59:51Speaker 15: on Patriots social media, so I thought that was gonna
- 59:54Speaker 15: be a crazy day. But this past one was.
- 59:56Speaker 3: Just it was something.
- 59:58Speaker 9: It's like you're looking left, you're looking right. It's just
- 1:00:00Speaker 9: a different celebrity of different Patriots legends. Just felt like
- 1:00:02Speaker 9: a big Foxborough reunion.
- 1:00:05Speaker 15: And that's why we do it though, Like it's fun.
- 1:00:07Speaker 15: Makes our jobs more enjoyable when we're able to do
- 1:00:10Speaker 15: those types of things, because we want to give people
- 1:00:13Speaker 15: what they want to see, and like that's exactly what happened.
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: I think, I think Evan or Alex said it.
- 1:00:18Speaker 9: But like the stadium was sold out more or less
- 1:00:21Speaker 9: aside from like obviously the view behind the stage because
- 1:00:23Speaker 9: they didn't sell their seats, But like, those are the diehards.
- 1:00:26Speaker 9: Those are the people that were in the trenches for
- 1:00:28Speaker 9: like every game, the highs and the lows, and just
- 1:00:31Speaker 9: kind of obviously he also felt like a kickoff the
- 1:00:33Speaker 9: summer in a way because it was like the most
- 1:00:35Speaker 9: beautiful night ever, just sunny warm.
- 1:00:39Speaker 3: You could just wear a T shirt, you wear your
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: Brady jersey. It was great.
- 1:00:42Speaker 15: You mentioned the diehards. I was with one of our
- 1:00:45Speaker 15: videographers out on the tailgates pre pre show, and I mean,
- 1:00:49Speaker 15: these people just the amount of energy that they had
- 1:00:52Speaker 15: surrounding this event and how much Tom Brady meant to
- 1:00:56Speaker 15: them just because of the years of losing that they
- 1:00:59Speaker 15: had to experien.
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: Film burr Is opening talked about it, yeah.
- 1:01:02Speaker 15: And it was just funny. Like they would say to
- 1:01:04Speaker 15: me that you were young, I'm like twenty three. They're
- 1:01:07Speaker 15: like what They're like, all you know is winning, And
- 1:01:09Speaker 15: I was like, yeah, it was amazing. Yeah, I mean,
- 1:01:12Speaker 15: now I'm feeling in the back half of this right now,
- 1:01:14Speaker 15: so trying to figure that all out.
- 1:01:16Speaker 9: So I started half bye week of twenty nineteen of
- 1:01:19Speaker 9: Tom's last season, and so like it was just and
- 1:01:22Speaker 9: think about just how much stuff has happened from twenty
- 1:01:25Speaker 9: nineteen to then. But it was just kind of crazy
- 1:01:27Speaker 9: to like truly get to see him in the stadium,
- 1:01:29Speaker 9: Like I mean, I went through the Bucks game when
- 1:01:31Speaker 9: he came back and then Week one, but it was
- 1:01:34Speaker 9: it was awesome. It's truly awesome, just like a peak
- 1:01:37Speaker 9: peak moment. I almost hit up my old man Andrew
- 1:01:39Speaker 9: hired me, just saying thank you for hiring me, because
- 1:01:41Speaker 9: like that was awesome. Yeah, that was worth everything we
- 1:01:43Speaker 9: worked for.
- 1:01:44Speaker 15: The show was exactly what it needed to be. I
- 1:01:47Speaker 15: thought again, Robert delivered it perfectly, saying that this show,
- 1:01:52Speaker 15: like Tom deserved more than just one halftime performance of
- 1:01:57Speaker 15: Week one. Yeah, like it needed to be something like
- 1:02:00Speaker 15: this and the way it was put together and the
- 1:02:04Speaker 15: stories and even having Peyton Manning up as a guest,
- 1:02:06Speaker 15: like it also is awesome.
- 1:02:08Speaker 9: It was so Patriot centric because I don't see how
- 1:02:12Speaker 9: his Pro Football Hall of Fame induction will one up
- 1:02:16Speaker 9: this because this was truly just patriot centric, like there's
- 1:02:19Speaker 9: going to be more of an NFL like topic for Canton,
- 1:02:23Speaker 9: but I don't know it was.
- 1:02:24Speaker 3: It was perfect.
- 1:02:25Speaker 15: Yeah, we'll get we'll cross the Canton road them we
- 1:02:27Speaker 15: get there a couple of years.
- 1:02:28Speaker 9: So I got, I got, I got one more question
- 1:02:30Speaker 9: for you before we go back, and he announced the statue. Okay,
- 1:02:36Speaker 9: we don't know what it's being made as soon as
- 1:02:37Speaker 9: the season, right, I think they mentioned that. But the
- 1:02:41Speaker 9: question I want to know is what what do you
- 1:02:42Speaker 9: think the pose is going to be and what do
- 1:02:45Speaker 9: you want it to be.
- 1:02:46Speaker 15: I wanted to be sixth ring holding up the trophy
- 1:02:52Speaker 15: photo something like that. I sort of round out the
- 1:02:56Speaker 15: six Super Bowls.
- 1:02:57Speaker 9: I want the Brady like run out, like the let's
- 1:03:00Speaker 9: go yes, like in the old helmet, like just like
- 1:03:04Speaker 9: it's like not even a flex but he just like
- 1:03:06Speaker 9: let's go.
- 1:03:07Speaker 15: I think I think it'll be I don't want to
- 1:03:09Speaker 15: say it's gonna be something generic, but I think it
- 1:03:12Speaker 15: could also be just like you said, the let's go,
- 1:03:14Speaker 15: but like him just like roaring in some sort of
- 1:03:17Speaker 15: way they can where he has.
- 1:03:18Speaker 3: Like that face of scout yeah, exactly.
- 1:03:20Speaker 15: Like he's like he's hyping up the crowd or whatever.
- 1:03:24Speaker 15: I think that could be what it is as well.
- 1:03:26Speaker 15: But I would love to see it be some sort
- 1:03:28Speaker 15: of trophy oriented thing because that's just what That's what
- 1:03:33Speaker 15: he meant to this this organization. How many, how many
- 1:03:36Speaker 15: brings he brought here in his personality and what he
- 1:03:38Speaker 15: did for the Patriots.
- 1:03:39Speaker 3: I'm sure it's gonna be awesome.
- 1:03:41Speaker 9: Yeah, But all right, Chris, as always, you know where
- 1:03:44Speaker 9: it's the off season, baby, we're trying to make it
- 1:03:46Speaker 9: something to talk about. Keep grinding the guys at once again,
- 1:03:49Speaker 9: you know, training camps around the court of Chris.
- 1:03:51Speaker 3: So we got to talk about that soon. But as always,
- 1:03:54Speaker 3: thanks for less saying. Let's get back to Patriots. I'm filing.
- 1:04:01Speaker 14: When someone accidentally threw away the school play costumes, Oh No,
- 1:04:06Speaker 14: replacements were shipped with FedEx and with picture proof of delivery,
- 1:04:10Speaker 14: everyone could focus on the perfect opening night FedEx. Where
- 1:04:14Speaker 14: now it's next for residential delivery.
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: Only and now great moments in.
- 1:04:23Speaker 3: History. I just want to help out.
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: Dave here, he's from Lancaster, California, says years ago in
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: the show, there was a conversation you had about washing
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: machines and how you had to buy a new one.
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: I need your help. I can't remember what brand you
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: said was the best. Speed Queen is where you want.
- 1:04:38Speaker 7: To go now? I remember this now that you know
- 1:04:40Speaker 7: the problem with.
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: Speed Queen is you don't get all the bells and whistles.
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: It's not like Samsung or LG where you get this
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: and that and the other.
- 1:04:46Speaker 7: Steam Queen.
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: But if you if you want just America, if you
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: want years, if you want an American made washer with
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: a steel drum, that's just gonna last.
- 1:04:58Speaker 7: Speed Queen is where you want go now you haven't
- 1:05:01Speaker 7: if you have today. If you have a huge family, though.
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: You might want to go with one of the bigger,
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: you know, brands that you can do bigger loads.
- 1:05:10Speaker 7: Not a fantom Maytag. Maytag is Maytag good durable.
- 1:05:14Speaker 3: Yeah, but I like Speed Queen.
- 1:05:16Speaker 6: The problem with all appliances nowadays is they're not built
- 1:05:19Speaker 6: to last.
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: But that's why you go with Speed queensfer Speed.
- 1:05:23Speaker 3: Queens are the ones used in the laundry mats.
- 1:05:25Speaker 6: They go, but they're built to give you five to
- 1:05:30Speaker 6: ten years, not to Speed Queen. Okay, all the guys,
- 1:05:34Speaker 6: all the guys that sell all of these different things
- 1:05:36Speaker 6: A wrong French right speak queen.
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: Like I said, I if you're looking for just a
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: basic speed queen, wash your dryer, American made steel drum,
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: no plastic.
- 1:05:47Speaker 3: You go, you go with the speed queen.
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: Now, some people say they're a little it's a little
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: tough on the clothes, a little rough on.
- 1:05:54Speaker 7: Them, A little tough. I'm gonna do clean the clothes.
- 1:05:59Speaker 7: It makes hold of them. Still drum with sharp edges.
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: I just I just wanted to help out Dave there.
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: I'm sure he feels very well, could be standing in
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: the store and he needs right right, you're right, you know,
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: tell me about this the guy radio.
- 1:06:18Speaker 7: I am.
- 1:06:19Speaker 6: I'm standing in the middle of the store and I
- 1:06:20Speaker 6: forgot what Fred's Let me check in with freds.
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: That's another great moment from all Right.
- 1:06:28Speaker 7: We're back. And no theme song for this show. Apparently
- 1:06:32Speaker 7: only only the halftime show gets eminem to uh g
- 1:06:35Speaker 7: a I em and.
- 1:06:36Speaker 3: Something like that.
- 1:06:36Speaker 7: That's pretty good though I wrote the lyrics, guy Christen,
- 1:06:40Speaker 7: I like that. That was a banger.
- 1:06:43Speaker 8: Back to this washer And.
- 1:06:46Speaker 6: Have you not heard that before Fred's pitchment, I haven't
- 1:06:49Speaker 6: actually heard the original sound that was fire.
- 1:06:52Speaker 8: But also, do you know there are now washer and
- 1:06:54Speaker 8: dryers that are all in one?
- 1:06:56Speaker 3: Yes?
- 1:06:59Speaker 7: On the show? Yes? Oh really, what do you.
- 1:07:01Speaker 6: Think you're the only one that can do nonsense?
- 1:07:04Speaker 7: Evan and I took care of nonsense just fine, We
- 1:07:07Speaker 7: literally did.
- 1:07:08Speaker 4: I'm interested to say that was about an hour and
- 1:07:10Speaker 4: forty five minutes of nonsense and fifteen applying.
- 1:07:13Speaker 6: So we opened with the quarterback salary cap. Oh yeah,
- 1:07:16Speaker 6: and then that was it.
- 1:07:16Speaker 7: We exhausted that in ten minutes and then went right
- 1:07:19Speaker 7: on and hang up from the lights. It was oh Evan.
- 1:07:25Speaker 7: Evan was all in, yeah, all in. Well, I mean,
- 1:07:29Speaker 7: will you like washing machine talk?
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: No?
- 1:07:31Speaker 4: I just think that Fred's hearing the original makes it
- 1:07:35Speaker 4: even better. Does like his bits of like, I I know.
- 1:07:40Speaker 6: Here's what you need?
- 1:07:41Speaker 7: Fu, Yeah, listen to me. Well that's why he's a
- 1:07:44Speaker 7: good pitch man. Like he said, there's confidence.
- 1:07:46Speaker 8: What does he have in his house?
- 1:07:47Speaker 10: Though?
- 1:07:47Speaker 8: Does he have?
- 1:07:48Speaker 7: He's probably down to a speed queen. Now. I mean
- 1:07:50Speaker 7: he's an empty nester, so just him and his wife
- 1:07:53Speaker 7: and that's all he needs. But every time every time
- 1:07:56Speaker 7: you're in like an appliance store, you see a speed
- 1:07:57Speaker 7: queen have to laugh. Though, because who else can you
- 1:07:59Speaker 7: think of it? But Freddy kirsh like.
- 1:08:01Speaker 8: But he didn't convince me with no, because especially when
- 1:08:04Speaker 8: he got the tough one the clothes.
- 1:08:06Speaker 7: Right well, no delicate setting.
- 1:08:09Speaker 6: I went from sort of annoyed with his pomposity to
- 1:08:13Speaker 6: when he said that it's hard on the clothes, I
- 1:08:15Speaker 6: just it's great, sounds like the best out there. Yeah,
- 1:08:21Speaker 6: it's in laundry mats. You know why they put them
- 1:08:25Speaker 6: in laundry mats because they're cheaping and they just never direct.
- 1:08:29Speaker 6: They're not like the best efficient.
- 1:08:33Speaker 7: Yeah, and they've done modern wonders with with all that,
- 1:08:37Speaker 7: But we got a good uh game here from Tyler
- 1:08:40Speaker 7: from Providence. I feel like you can kick off our
- 1:08:42Speaker 7: second hour. I kind of like this one. So this
- 1:08:45Speaker 7: is a keep trade cut question. All right, we're gonna
- 1:08:48Speaker 7: start with the food, and that is going to be
- 1:08:50Speaker 7: the first keep trade cut.
- 1:08:52Speaker 4: There's only right answers here.
- 1:08:53Speaker 7: Lobster roll, chicken, fried steak, buffalo wings, lobster hot or cold.
- 1:08:58Speaker 4: Good question.
- 1:08:59Speaker 7: I would whatever you want, mayo or butter. You choose,
- 1:09:02Speaker 7: and and it's your world. We're just living at lobster,
- 1:09:05Speaker 7: keep trade or cut.
- 1:09:06Speaker 8: So keeping buffalo wings yep.
- 1:09:08Speaker 7: Keeping the buffalo wings, yep. I'm going to cut the
- 1:09:11Speaker 7: chicken fried.
- 1:09:11Speaker 8: Steak, cut that and trade the lobster if that's a thing.
- 1:09:15Speaker 7: Yeah, it is in the South, Yeah, solid. Then I
- 1:09:18Speaker 7: never heard of it. No, and you're you're o Southern representative.
- 1:09:20Speaker 8: I've never heard of chicken.
- 1:09:22Speaker 3: So do you do lobsteroles? Hot or cold? No?
- 1:09:24Speaker 8: It doesn't matter, you're I like them.
- 1:09:26Speaker 7: I like the no, but like, how do you I
- 1:09:27Speaker 7: like hot? Hot? Like the hot hot hot. All you
- 1:09:30Speaker 7: want was cold with mayo. Though they're too expensive. Though
- 1:09:32Speaker 7: I've been priced out of the lobster roll. I can't
- 1:09:35Speaker 7: with that.
- 1:09:35Speaker 9: Like when I used to work at a restaurant, It's
- 1:09:36Speaker 9: like these things are thirty five bucks and it's just
- 1:09:38Speaker 9: me back there just getting cold lobster meat into a
- 1:09:41Speaker 9: hot dog.
- 1:09:41Speaker 7: You can't tell me lobster meat is not rare that
- 1:09:44Speaker 7: they should be close to now forty dollars a pop.
- 1:09:46Speaker 7: It's pretty right, right. You don't like seefood, forget I
- 1:09:49Speaker 7: don't do. We're moving on chicken fried steak.
- 1:09:52Speaker 8: This is the wrong audience for that, Like, we're not
- 1:09:55Speaker 8: I'm also the wrong audience for the lobster talk. Because
- 1:09:57Speaker 8: crab is better.
- 1:09:58Speaker 7: What about just the fried chicken sandwich. What if we
- 1:10:00Speaker 7: did fried chicken sandwich.
- 1:10:01Speaker 4: Well, it depends on we like spicy. We're talking.
- 1:10:04Speaker 6: Nashville chicken.
- 1:10:07Speaker 7: Yeah, delicious, Great, all right, next one is a little
- 1:10:11Speaker 7: North North End flavor. I don't know if I can
- 1:10:14Speaker 7: speak to all these, but Modern pastry, MIC's Pastry or
- 1:10:17Speaker 7: Bova's Bakery, so like low key, Bova's is kind of
- 1:10:20Speaker 7: the best.
- 1:10:21Speaker 4: Yeah, people think that that's that's a hot take sometimes
- 1:10:24Speaker 4: because the other ones are more popular.
- 1:10:25Speaker 7: But I think Bova's kind of gas.
- 1:10:28Speaker 6: They are definitely Mics and Modern are definitely sort of
- 1:10:31Speaker 6: the touristy places, but they're they're both outstanding.
- 1:10:34Speaker 7: I was I'm a big like ice cream guy. I
- 1:10:37Speaker 7: love cream, but like canolis, like I always, they look
- 1:10:40Speaker 7: like they're gonna taste one way, but there's something like
- 1:10:43Speaker 7: they don't. Like there's just I don't know, there's a
- 1:10:45Speaker 7: sweetness or something missing where they're not overly sweet. It
- 1:10:48Speaker 7: looks like it should be, but it isn't.
- 1:10:49Speaker 4: And I would keep Bova's cut Mics and you can.
- 1:10:55Speaker 7: Trade Modern, I don't know what you trade it for.
- 1:10:57Speaker 6: But Actors is the one which trade.
- 1:11:00Speaker 7: Adam Salon, Adam Sandler, Will Ferrell, Jim Carrey. This is
- 1:11:06Speaker 7: tough because all three of them have movies that I love.
- 1:11:10Speaker 8: I think I'm gonna keep Adam Stanley, I'm keeping The
- 1:11:12Speaker 8: fan Man.
- 1:11:13Speaker 7: Yeah, I think I'm gonna keep Farrell.
- 1:11:16Speaker 4: I would probably keep Farrell if all things were equal.
- 1:11:18Speaker 5: But Farrel hasn't made a good movie in twenty years.
- 1:11:20Speaker 7: Yeah, but the ones he made are time Sandler.
- 1:11:23Speaker 5: I still laugh at Adam Sandler's movies. I don't laugh
- 1:11:25Speaker 5: at Will Farrell. The last one, that halloweeny movie he
- 1:11:29Speaker 5: came out on the Netflix.
- 1:11:30Speaker 7: Yeah, growing up Halloween, right, It's just you know, it's
- 1:11:35Speaker 7: Rob Schneider wasn't a comedy movie.
- 1:11:38Speaker 4: But I would I would keep The Sandman because US
- 1:11:41Speaker 4: Jews have to stay locked, you know, in step.
- 1:11:45Speaker 7: Poor Jim Carry? Actually can I carry?
- 1:11:47Speaker 6: Probably be the one that I get. The other two
- 1:11:50Speaker 6: would be I don't care.
- 1:11:51Speaker 7: I like I think actually Adam Sandler will be my
- 1:11:54Speaker 7: answer for the random celebrity interactions, which I think I've
- 1:11:57Speaker 7: probably told you guys before. In Maloo, getting stuck in
- 1:12:00Speaker 7: like an ice cream place with Adam Sandler and like
- 1:12:02Speaker 7: had a Patriots hat on. He just came up started
- 1:12:04Speaker 7: talking to me because I kind of regret like I
- 1:12:06Speaker 7: didn't like acknowledge like how big of a fan I was,
- 1:12:09Speaker 7: Like I had all his tapes, remember, like the comedy
- 1:12:11Speaker 7: albums he used to put out.
- 1:12:12Speaker 6: Like that's a good one. I bet you he'd be
- 1:12:14Speaker 6: good to just sort of bump into.
- 1:12:15Speaker 7: Oh, random nice guy, Hey Patriots? Were you Patriots fan?
- 1:12:19Speaker 7: Like you know? And every people are just like pressed
- 1:12:22Speaker 7: up against the glass like looking in and then he
- 1:12:24Speaker 7: just so cool. He's like with his wife and kid.
- 1:12:26Speaker 7: He goes to the guy say, hey, man, sometimes they
- 1:12:28Speaker 7: let us sneak out the back. Is that all right?
- 1:12:29Speaker 7: And like sure, and he just like walked out the
- 1:12:31Speaker 7: back and everybody's just sitting there waiting for him.
- 1:12:34Speaker 5: But does it count if you meet them at comic Con?
- 1:12:36Speaker 5: Because if so, I've met a thousand of them.
- 1:12:37Speaker 7: Oh no, no, it has to be random celebrities, random
- 1:12:40Speaker 7: celebrity encounter white level of celebrity.
- 1:12:42Speaker 5: We're talking about Brett Spiner, Amy Joe Johnson, Creed Breton.
- 1:12:46Speaker 7: Oh, Creed Bratton. Who are the other two? Nope?
- 1:12:49Speaker 5: Amy Jo Johnson was the pink Ranger, Ah.
- 1:12:53Speaker 7: How could I?
- 1:12:54Speaker 5: And Brett Speiner was data from Star.
- 1:12:56Speaker 7: Trek oh favorite writing games spread, I need keep trade cut?
- 1:13:03Speaker 7: Who am I? Or would you rather? What's your favorite?
- 1:13:05Speaker 7: One of those one when callers or emailers come in
- 1:13:07Speaker 7: Paul with different games, do you like keep trade cut?
- 1:13:10Speaker 7: Who am I? Or would you rather trade like?
- 1:13:13Speaker 4: Who am I?
- 1:13:14Speaker 7: I like who am I? As well?
- 1:13:15Speaker 6: But I like all the games the people that take
- 1:13:17Speaker 6: the time to set up the games with people who
- 1:13:20Speaker 6: am I?
- 1:13:21Speaker 8: As hard?
- 1:13:22Speaker 7: Uh? Like best alternate uniform Cincinnati Snow Bengals, the Denver
- 1:13:27Speaker 7: Orange Crush or the Chargers powder blue margins. I'm sorry
- 1:13:32Speaker 7: that the Denver.
- 1:13:35Speaker 8: The Bengals, it was very icy.
- 1:13:38Speaker 3: Powder blu.
- 1:13:40Speaker 6: You see Burrow is hanging out with I learned all
- 1:13:42Speaker 6: kinds of new words like different, you know, vernacular.
- 1:13:47Speaker 4: Icy looks so good, especially when Joe Burrow, Like what'd
- 1:13:51Speaker 4: you think of Joe Burrow at that event that he
- 1:13:53Speaker 4: went to?
- 1:13:54Speaker 6: What did you Jefferson.
- 1:13:59Speaker 7: The ackless suit?
- 1:14:01Speaker 8: I think that he should walking down the field, not running,
- 1:14:05Speaker 8: not runways. It's just not my.
- 1:14:06Speaker 6: Kind of I'm kind of like I used to love
- 1:14:08Speaker 6: Joe Burrow. I don't know that's what he was waiting.
- 1:14:12Speaker 7: I don't know this guy anymore.
- 1:14:14Speaker 5: Joe Burrow.
- 1:14:15Speaker 7: Literally, I love how these plays.
- 1:14:18Speaker 8: You can literally just post a video of him breathing
- 1:14:21Speaker 8: and it's gonna get like two million, Like Laura, it's ridiculous.
- 1:14:26Speaker 7: Uh, you know Joe Burrow his looks, but you could.
- 1:14:31Speaker 8: But that's because he's a Josh Allen guy. Josh Allen
- 1:14:34Speaker 8: breathing like two million for him.
- 1:14:36Speaker 7: But there are certain guys you can say attracted. Some
- 1:14:38Speaker 7: guys I don't get it. I'm like, people say this
- 1:14:40Speaker 7: guy's a track. I don't see it. But certain guys
- 1:14:42Speaker 7: like Brad Pitt, like he's.
- 1:14:43Speaker 8: Like Trevor Lawrence, is just his hair blowing the wind.
- 1:14:46Speaker 6: You know it's gonna be weird if he's like I
- 1:14:48Speaker 6: wouldn't get the attraction to Trevor physically, like Josh Allen
- 1:14:52Speaker 6: and Joe Burrow. To me, a good looking guys, I'm comfortable.
- 1:14:59Speaker 3: Guys.
- 1:15:03Speaker 6: I think they're good looking guys.
- 1:15:05Speaker 7: It's a handsome man. Jeffrey Kennon's got another little fun
- 1:15:09Speaker 7: question for us.
- 1:15:09Speaker 2: Uh.
- 1:15:10Speaker 7: I think we all agree Patriots are in for a
- 1:15:12Speaker 7: very very long shot to win win a ring in
- 1:15:14Speaker 7: the next two seasons. What franchise are you sort of
- 1:15:17Speaker 7: cheering for to get a ring? While we're rebuilding or
- 1:15:20Speaker 7: could you never get behind another team.
- 1:15:23Speaker 4: I'm gonna never get behind another team.
- 1:15:25Speaker 7: Guy.
- 1:15:25Speaker 6: I kind of am too. I mean, I'll root for
- 1:15:27Speaker 6: someone on Super Bowl Sunday, but it's not like I'll
- 1:15:30Speaker 6: spend the season and be like, you know what, like
- 1:15:32Speaker 6: I want Al Horford to win a title.
- 1:15:34Speaker 7: I don't care if.
- 1:15:34Speaker 6: Al horn I mean Al Horford was on my team.
- 1:15:37Speaker 6: So I wanted the Celtics to win.
- 1:15:39Speaker 7: But like, I don't really get behind a team.
- 1:15:41Speaker 6: Necessarily and say i'd really like to say, I know,
- 1:15:44Speaker 6: I know my team's not gonna win.
- 1:15:46Speaker 7: I want to see them. I don't care.
- 1:15:47Speaker 8: I want Lamar to get a ring, you know what, after.
- 1:15:50Speaker 6: My diatribe that's not a bad one.
- 1:15:53Speaker 4: I want probably the one I would I.
- 1:15:56Speaker 6: Wouldn't mind to see him seeing him win one.
- 1:15:59Speaker 4: I just wanted love to see Lamar win a ring,
- 1:16:01Speaker 4: just because of all the crap that said about him,
- 1:16:04Speaker 4: and like all his style isn't going to win and
- 1:16:07Speaker 4: this that the other thing. It would just be cool
- 1:16:08Speaker 4: to silence.
- 1:16:09Speaker 7: Do you think if he did win though, that like
- 1:16:10Speaker 7: all of a sudden, the trend would be like we
- 1:16:12Speaker 7: got to get a mobile quarterback now, like like, well
- 1:16:14Speaker 7: that like all of a sudden, it's already re ignited.
- 1:16:16Speaker 4: I would like to hope that they would realize that
- 1:16:18Speaker 4: there's only one Lamar. Yeah, there's only a certain guys.
- 1:16:21Speaker 7: Well, there's two Lamars, aren't there. Lamar Latrell is another one.
- 1:16:24Speaker 6: And there's also Malie Cunningham. Don't forget about he's definitely
- 1:16:28Speaker 6: wide receiver.
- 1:16:30Speaker 7: He's making stride to her when they're not practicing. Oh
- 1:16:35Speaker 7: dear lord, do you root for a team on Super
- 1:16:37Speaker 7: Bowl Sunday or do you just like watch the game?
- 1:16:39Speaker 4: I actually feel really strongly about this when I say
- 1:16:42Speaker 4: that I hate people that have like second teams and
- 1:16:45Speaker 4: stuff like.
- 1:16:45Speaker 6: No, Like, when you sit down Super Bowl Sunday, don't
- 1:16:50Speaker 6: tell me you didn't root for San Francisco.
- 1:16:52Speaker 7: I know you, Oh yeah, I know you.
- 1:16:54Speaker 4: But that But that's because there's like a lot of
- 1:16:56Speaker 4: there's a lot of things that go into.
- 1:16:58Speaker 7: That adoration of I'm comfortable.
- 1:17:02Speaker 4: I'm comfortable with my sexual hoditist say, Kyle Shanahan is
- 1:17:04Speaker 4: a good looking guy. So I rooted for Kyle Shanahan
- 1:17:07Speaker 4: for those reasons. Then I also rooted.
- 1:17:09Speaker 7: For it because.
- 1:17:12Speaker 4: Exactly then I also rooted for the forty nine ers
- 1:17:16Speaker 4: because of Patrick Mahomes, like, I don't want him to
- 1:17:18Speaker 4: win any more Super Bowl and.
- 1:17:19Speaker 7: You hate perty.
- 1:17:21Speaker 3: What's what he's saying is he wasn't supporting the forty
- 1:17:23Speaker 3: nine ers throughout the year.
- 1:17:25Speaker 7: No, and I would agree with that.
- 1:17:26Speaker 6: I don't spend the season ye saying my team's not
- 1:17:29Speaker 6: going anywhere, I'm going to pick a second team. I
- 1:17:30Speaker 6: don't necessarily do that, but when the playoffs come around
- 1:17:34Speaker 6: and I watch all the playoff games, I've never just
- 1:17:37Speaker 6: like watched the game and said, I don't really care,
- 1:17:41Speaker 6: you know, you pick a side. I mean I used
- 1:17:43Speaker 6: to do that, like covering high school field hockey games
- 1:17:47Speaker 6: in the early nineties. I'd be there in like thirty
- 1:17:50Speaker 6: seconds in the game something someone did. Usually I would
- 1:17:53Speaker 6: root against a team, then pick a team that I'm
- 1:17:56Speaker 6: rooting for because someone would do something that I was like, Wow,
- 1:18:00Speaker 6: that was that coach is a Jersey. I'm rooting against his.
- 1:18:03Speaker 7: Team, you know. So it would be something like superficial
- 1:18:06Speaker 7: though right, Like, it couldn't be. It couldn't be something
- 1:18:08Speaker 7: like oh this seems too good. No.
- 1:18:11Speaker 6: If that was the case, I would root for an
- 1:18:12Speaker 6: upset the like if I were matched. You know, like
- 1:18:16Speaker 6: Watertown Field Hockey just won like nine million games in
- 1:18:19Speaker 6: a row. If I was covering, I would root for
- 1:18:21Speaker 6: the other team just because that's a story. Now, Yeah,
- 1:18:24Speaker 6: that's that's you root for the story. That's a good one,
- 1:18:26Speaker 6: you know what I mean.
- 1:18:27Speaker 7: Yeah, that's a good one.
- 1:18:28Speaker 6: That's what I don't do because a lot of people,
- 1:18:31Speaker 6: well seriously, they've like set records for the consecutive wins.
- 1:18:35Speaker 6: I root for the story on Patriots games till about
- 1:18:37Speaker 6: the third quarter and then I just I just wanted
- 1:18:39Speaker 6: to be that story because I don't want it to
- 1:18:40Speaker 6: suddenly be a nice story.
- 1:18:42Speaker 7: I want to. I don't want to twenty three. Got
- 1:18:44Speaker 7: to get a typewriter, right, Nope.
- 1:18:48Speaker 4: Like you know, last night, I was definitely pulling for Edmonton. Yeah,
- 1:18:52Speaker 4: me to be Florida. It didn't happen. Yeah, I wasn't
- 1:18:55Speaker 4: heartbroken when it didn't.
- 1:18:56Speaker 6: I was too when I Yeah, I didn't lose a second.
- 1:18:59Speaker 4: I just I really that whole thing bugs me. Obviously,
- 1:19:02Speaker 4: they're kind of the Bruins on the Bruins right now, which.
- 1:19:05Speaker 7: Is a bummer.
- 1:19:05Speaker 4: But also I just you had one fan base that
- 1:19:09Speaker 4: was literally going to parade in the streets for like weeks.
- 1:19:12Speaker 4: If they're team won and you had another fan base,
- 1:19:14Speaker 4: they're saying they're not even gonna parade at all because
- 1:19:16Speaker 4: they don't even know where to have the parade because
- 1:19:18Speaker 4: they don't have any fans.
- 1:19:19Speaker 6: Well, I saw the Stanley Cup was in the ocean.
- 1:19:22Speaker 7: Yeah, that's gonna get rusty. You can't do that.
- 1:19:25Speaker 4: It's tough. It's tough. I wanted to see the die
- 1:19:27Speaker 4: hard fan base, you know, the one that actually is
- 1:19:29Speaker 4: a hockey town win sunrise.
- 1:19:33Speaker 7: I'm gonna stick with the Bruins here just for a
- 1:19:34Speaker 7: second before we choke over to Melvin, but Bruin's question here.
- 1:19:37Speaker 7: For the second consecutive year, the Bruins dominated in the
- 1:19:39Speaker 7: regular season, then flamed out in the playoffs. Now the
- 1:19:42Speaker 7: Bruins are aging and they don't have any high drap picks.
- 1:19:45Speaker 7: Should they make one last desperate effort to bolster the
- 1:19:48Speaker 7: team through free agency to make one last run for
- 1:19:50Speaker 7: the Cup? Or should they blow the team up and
- 1:19:52Speaker 7: start over.
- 1:19:53Speaker 4: I actually disagree with everything that that person disagree with
- 1:19:55Speaker 4: the premise.
- 1:19:56Speaker 6: I disagree with the premise the Bruins did not dominate
- 1:19:58Speaker 6: the regular season.
- 1:19:59Speaker 4: Well, that was partly one and then part two is
- 1:20:01Speaker 4: a lot of their older players are starting to retire
- 1:20:04Speaker 4: age out already. Like their core is Poster Knock, Charlie McAvoy,
- 1:20:08Speaker 4: Jeremy Swayman, all those guys are young. Yeah, like, none
- 1:20:11Speaker 4: of those guys are old. It's just because they're probably
- 1:20:13Speaker 4: real old.
- 1:20:14Speaker 7: Guy. That was actually, yeah, I don't know if this
- 1:20:16Speaker 7: is gonna be hot take, but this is my casual
- 1:20:18Speaker 7: Bruins fan take. That's right. I would I would guess
- 1:20:25Speaker 7: and maybe you can tell me the number of it
- 1:20:26Speaker 7: that the Bruins have won more regular season games over
- 1:20:29Speaker 7: the last five years than the other.
- 1:20:30Speaker 4: Team they're in over the last decade. They're over the
- 1:20:33Speaker 4: last decade.
- 1:20:34Speaker 7: Okay, Yeah, they haven't won a Stanley Cup. They've gone
- 1:20:37Speaker 7: to two finals.
- 1:20:38Speaker 4: Thanks for that.
- 1:20:39Speaker 7: It's hard. It's hard to win a Stanley Cup, like
- 1:20:42Speaker 7: as a fan, and if you're a casual fan, do
- 1:20:45Speaker 7: you have to be all that angry about it? They're
- 1:20:47Speaker 7: always pretty They've always been pretty good, yes, because that's
- 1:20:49Speaker 7: exactly what they win they want. They beat the Maple Leafs,
- 1:20:51Speaker 7: they win a playoff round. Press That's why that's why
- 1:20:55Speaker 7: I'm bringing it up though, Like, look, I know every
- 1:20:57Speaker 7: like everybody wants to win a Stanley Cup. The Panthers
- 1:20:59Speaker 7: are the only team to win the Stanley Cup this year.
- 1:21:00Speaker 7: One team wins it. It's hard to do. It's all
- 1:21:03Speaker 7: got a match up. But as a fan of a
- 1:21:05Speaker 7: team that spends in Evan, you probably go to what
- 1:21:07Speaker 7: twenty games a year or something like that. You got
- 1:21:08Speaker 7: a package. Aren't you pretty satisfied as a fan of
- 1:21:11Speaker 7: the product that the team was putting on the field.
- 1:21:13Speaker 6: Let me ask you this. Okay, so let's go the
- 1:21:14Speaker 6: last ten years. Yeah, okay, so fourteen to twenty four,
- 1:21:18Speaker 6: all right, so they have after the Chicago one trip
- 1:21:21Speaker 6: to the finals at that time, how many chips to
- 1:21:24Speaker 6: the conference finals?
- 1:21:25Speaker 7: Zero?
- 1:21:26Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:21:26Speaker 6: Okay, So you get knocked for all those regular season wins.
- 1:21:30Speaker 6: You're getting upset in the playoffs every year. Yeah right
- 1:21:33Speaker 6: now this year if you did not get upset in
- 1:21:34Speaker 6: the playoffs this year, you lost to the better team.
- 1:21:37Speaker 6: But you've been the higher seed in your playoff losses
- 1:21:42Speaker 6: on a consistent basis. You know, the Carolina a couple
- 1:21:46Speaker 6: of years ago was a you know they that they
- 1:21:49Speaker 6: lost in seven in the first round. Carolina was better. Yes,
- 1:21:52Speaker 6: same thing happened this year in the second round. I
- 1:21:54Speaker 6: think they lost in six, but same thing. Yeah, there's
- 1:21:58Speaker 6: a lot of knock outs two teams that weren't as
- 1:22:01Speaker 6: good as them.
- 1:22:02Speaker 7: Yeah, I think that, Well, that's definitely fair. I mean,
- 1:22:04Speaker 7: especially when you look back when they had the core
- 1:22:07Speaker 7: of the Patrice Bergeron's and you know, the older guys
- 1:22:10Speaker 7: that Charas that were. You know, then it's real frustrating
- 1:22:13Speaker 7: when you can't win those. But if you're gonna get
- 1:22:15Speaker 7: through the rebuild, then you can, you know, get in
- 1:22:17Speaker 7: your competitive every game. You're pretty good during the regular season,
- 1:22:20Speaker 7: you know, you may be like if you're I'm just
- 1:22:22Speaker 7: saying from a perspective in the rebuilding.
- 1:22:24Speaker 6: They've beaten Saint Louis. I'll just say that, Like, I
- 1:22:26Speaker 6: think I would feel a lot different, Yeah, because that
- 1:22:28Speaker 6: team's stunk.
- 1:22:29Speaker 7: Yeah, that they had no business losing to that team. Yeah.
- 1:22:32Speaker 4: I think the problem that you have is is that
- 1:22:35Speaker 4: what you just said is absolutely music to Jeremy Jacobs's ears, right,
- 1:22:45Speaker 4: that's his his line. Yeah, do we win around in
- 1:22:48Speaker 4: the playoffs? Do I get the extra box office for
- 1:22:51Speaker 4: the three or four playoff games in the first round
- 1:22:54Speaker 4: and when they check that box, everybody keeps their job.
- 1:22:57Speaker 6: And I guess they you know, now I'm starting to think,
- 1:22:59Speaker 6: like lost to Tampa, and those Tampa teams were better
- 1:23:02Speaker 6: than them too, So maybe they didn't get upset per
- 1:23:05Speaker 6: se as many times as as I think, but like
- 1:23:08Speaker 6: they didn't advance.
- 1:23:09Speaker 7: So you're winning a lot of regular seas.
- 1:23:11Speaker 6: I just think that they're a team that gears itself
- 1:23:14Speaker 6: to regular season success. So you know, you want to
- 1:23:17Speaker 6: give you know, a Bruins minute here as as Felgary
- 1:23:20Speaker 6: Mas like to say. And I heard the end of
- 1:23:22Speaker 6: what Evan was talking about, and I agree with a
- 1:23:24Speaker 6: lot of what you were saying. So you trade Allmark
- 1:23:28Speaker 6: and you have an opportunity to get you know, so
- 1:23:30Speaker 6: I'm glad they got a first round pick that that's
- 1:23:33Speaker 6: obviously what they were holding out for. But you're forced
- 1:23:37Speaker 6: to take a terrible contract in a backup goalie back
- 1:23:40Speaker 6: and I'm like, there's part of me that says like
- 1:23:43Speaker 6: they wanted the backup goalie because they know that's their
- 1:23:47Speaker 6: secret sauce to winning you know, fifty games or whatever
- 1:23:50Speaker 6: it ends up being in the regular season. I don't
- 1:23:53Speaker 6: care about that. You're gonna make the playoffs with swaymen, Yeah, right,
- 1:23:58Speaker 6: So to me, just rip band aid off and stop
- 1:24:01Speaker 6: gearing your team to regular season success. Like if if
- 1:24:05Speaker 6: the Panthers tried to play the whole series like they
- 1:24:08Speaker 6: did the third period last night, they they've gotten swept.
- 1:24:11Speaker 6: That's how the Bruins play all the time this year.
- 1:24:15Speaker 4: I mean we talked about this during their season a
- 1:24:17Speaker 4: lot because I watch every single Bruins game and just
- 1:24:20Speaker 4: a huge fan, so we watch a lot, and you
- 1:24:23Speaker 4: and I we would talk about the Bruins every time
- 1:24:25Speaker 4: I'd go to a game. I'd come back and be like,
- 1:24:27Speaker 4: they're it, Like they.
- 1:24:28Speaker 7: Won, but like I just don't. I just kind of
- 1:24:32Speaker 7: feel like they're not good. Like I totally agree all.
- 1:24:35Speaker 4: Year long, the eye test just didn't back it up.
- 1:24:38Speaker 4: And then when they beat Toronto and in Game seven,
- 1:24:41Speaker 4: I was ecstatic. I that to me was like them
- 1:24:44Speaker 4: overachieving because I was like, this Toronto team is loaded,
- 1:24:48Speaker 4: like and I sort of agree, and the Bruins just
- 1:24:51Speaker 4: that this was a reset year for the Bruins because
- 1:24:53Speaker 4: they went all in on the on the regular season
- 1:24:56Speaker 4: from last two years ago. So last year was truly
- 1:24:58Speaker 4: supposed to be like a rese year, and the fact
- 1:25:00Speaker 4: that they want a playoff round was kind of an
- 1:25:03Speaker 4: overachieve Now they have like twenty three million dollars in
- 1:25:06Speaker 4: cap space, and they hold a contract currently that they're
- 1:25:09Speaker 4: gonna have to pay their own is Jeremy Swayman, which
- 1:25:11Speaker 4: is gonna be a lot of money. But they should
- 1:25:13Speaker 4: have some money to throw around in free agency and
- 1:25:15Speaker 4: they should be throwing it around like there's.
- 1:25:17Speaker 6: No excuse, I supirst they didn't waste it on a
- 1:25:21Speaker 6: backup goalie who has been struggling. Now, maybe goalie Bob
- 1:25:24Speaker 6: gets him and yeah.
- 1:25:25Speaker 7: He's serviceable.
- 1:25:28Speaker 4: If he's a serviceable backup goalie, then you can swallow it.
- 1:25:31Speaker 4: But I would almost have rather just kept Linas and
- 1:25:35Speaker 4: just rolled with it for another year because Lina's had
- 1:25:37Speaker 4: one more year on his contract, so he was gonna
- 1:25:39Speaker 4: be a free agent at the end of the year. Anyways,
- 1:25:41Speaker 4: it's they're paying Corpusolo three million dollars and Lindas Olmark's
- 1:25:45Speaker 4: on the book for five. So it's a difference between
- 1:25:48Speaker 4: It's probably one skater, right and it's like a Danton Heine, like,
- 1:25:51Speaker 4: you know, it's it's not gonna be somebody any good.
- 1:25:54Speaker 4: So it's just it was a weird trait to take
- 1:25:56Speaker 4: on salary. If they just wanted this straight salary dumplingas
- 1:25:59Speaker 4: ol mark, I would have gotten that. But to take
- 1:26:02Speaker 4: on salary from Ottawa just to get the twenty fifth
- 1:26:05Speaker 4: overall pick in the drafts not like it's like a
- 1:26:06Speaker 4: top ten pick.
- 1:26:08Speaker 7: It was.
- 1:26:08Speaker 4: It was a weird trade.
- 1:26:10Speaker 6: It was a weird I agree.
- 1:26:11Speaker 7: Yeah, Hey, Memorill, I lost the ability to get the
- 1:26:14Speaker 7: phones up, so so well, uh, melon's online, but but.
- 1:26:18Speaker 6: Well, Mike's trying to get it up. I'm going to
- 1:26:20Speaker 6: continue on your Oh.
- 1:26:21Speaker 7: I love this melon up for you. All right, let's
- 1:26:24Speaker 7: take Melvin right now? All right, good job. This is like,
- 1:26:29Speaker 7: hey Melvin, what's going on?
- 1:26:30Speaker 6: Man?
- 1:26:30Speaker 7: Sorry, sweet kid?
- 1:26:31Speaker 6: I know you're not You're too You're too much of
- 1:26:33Speaker 6: a sweet kid to like that kind of blue humor
- 1:26:35Speaker 6: that was.
- 1:26:37Speaker 16: It's not like I was laughing this. I'm glad you.
- 1:26:40Speaker 16: I kept talking about get it out. But I had
- 1:26:43Speaker 16: a quick question. I guess about Tua. I know, I
- 1:26:47Speaker 16: think his context years up. I think it's bad. It's
- 1:26:50Speaker 16: time to pay him.
- 1:26:51Speaker 7: He probably the next guy.
- 1:26:52Speaker 16: Yeah, yeah, so would you be interested? We're not interested,
- 1:26:56Speaker 16: But are you entertaining the idea of trying to upgrade
- 1:27:00Speaker 16: in the quarterback in the quarterback position. Like some things,
- 1:27:04Speaker 16: I thought, like some things are doing a lot of
- 1:27:06Speaker 16: bluff sometimes, like oh, should we pay him? Should we not?
- 1:27:09Speaker 16: I'm pretty sure they're gonna pay him. But with you know,
- 1:27:13Speaker 16: there is a they do got a window here, So
- 1:27:14Speaker 16: do you think they could possibly not stay to this
- 1:27:17Speaker 16: level but try to maybe go get a veteran real quick,
- 1:27:20Speaker 16: just so I can maximize on this opportunity, this championship
- 1:27:23Speaker 16: window that they have. Well, do you I think that's
- 1:27:25Speaker 16: the possibility are we talking about?
- 1:27:27Speaker 7: I don't.
- 1:27:29Speaker 4: I don't think that like the Patriots getting to a no, no, no.
- 1:27:32Speaker 6: I think Miami state of the Miami trying to maximize
- 1:27:36Speaker 6: this window and get a veteran. And I don't think
- 1:27:38Speaker 6: there's a veteran available that's better than to yeah.
- 1:27:41Speaker 7: Right now this year now two.
- 1:27:42Speaker 4: Is the veteran, right like, like I think that they're
- 1:27:47Speaker 4: gonna pay him.
- 1:27:47Speaker 6: And I understand where Melvin's coming from, because it's not
- 1:27:50Speaker 6: a no brainer. Like you just saw Trevor Lawrence's aav
- 1:27:55Speaker 6: is like fifty five million. I like Trevor Lawrence, but
- 1:27:58Speaker 6: not fifty five million, Like, but that's what it costs.
- 1:28:01Speaker 6: So you have to make it a choice. Do you
- 1:28:04Speaker 6: say I can go out and find somebody else that's
- 1:28:07Speaker 6: as that's as good as Tua or as good as
- 1:28:09Speaker 6: Trevor Lawrence, or do I stick with that? You know,
- 1:28:12Speaker 6: it could be Daniel Jones at like forty, or it
- 1:28:15Speaker 6: could be Lawrence and you kind of say, well, what's
- 1:28:17Speaker 6: the difference. They're kind of inconsistent, both of them.
- 1:28:20Speaker 4: I think Trevor Lawrence is much better than.
- 1:28:22Speaker 6: Much much more upside, no question about it.
- 1:28:25Speaker 7: That are hair too.
- 1:28:27Speaker 6: I would I would stick with I would stick with
- 1:28:29Speaker 6: Tua and ride that out. I'd give him, I'd give
- 1:28:31Speaker 6: him an extension. I think that offense is really geared
- 1:28:34Speaker 6: to him.
- 1:28:35Speaker 7: Does he get fifty five if he's going to get
- 1:28:38Speaker 7: what the market is?
- 1:28:39Speaker 6: Yeah, I don't see Dak Prescott to me is a
- 1:28:43Speaker 6: bigger question.
- 1:28:44Speaker 8: Yeah. I definitely could see him being the next Dak,
- 1:28:48Speaker 8: being the next Kirk Cousins and being on someone else's
- 1:28:51Speaker 8: d Dak.
- 1:28:51Speaker 3: Prescott screens raiders.
- 1:28:52Speaker 7: I just think it's I love Dak Dak.
- 1:28:56Speaker 4: I feel like it is almost underrated at this point,
- 1:28:59Speaker 4: Like I would pay Dak arpat, but I I feel
- 1:29:01Speaker 4: like with the Cowboys and Jerry Jones, that that's like
- 1:29:03Speaker 4: deeper than just Dak like there, I have a feeling
- 1:29:07Speaker 4: that they have their their mind on like Arch Manning
- 1:29:10Speaker 4: or something stupid like that, like I really do this year,
- 1:29:15Speaker 4: probably not because Quiney Orers went back.
- 1:29:17Speaker 6: And supposedly they got another like one of the highest
- 1:29:20Speaker 6: rated quarterbacks is signed.
- 1:29:22Speaker 4: There's something about Texas Dak with the Jones is that
- 1:29:25Speaker 4: the Joneses just aren't there with Dak that they're gonna
- 1:29:29Speaker 4: they want to pay him. It's been years that they've
- 1:29:32Speaker 4: been doing this.
- 1:29:33Speaker 6: Well, the last contract he signed was big.
- 1:29:36Speaker 4: Yeah, but it wasn't like what they're gonna have to
- 1:29:38Speaker 4: pay him now or.
- 1:29:38Speaker 6: No, well now you know, like yesterday's price is not today's.
- 1:29:42Speaker 4: Yeah, but I would pay too if I was Miami.
- 1:29:44Speaker 4: I don't think I think that it's easy to sit
- 1:29:47Speaker 4: here and say, oh, well just gets you know somebody
- 1:29:49Speaker 4: else that's gonna be just as good. It might not
- 1:29:51Speaker 4: be just as good.
- 1:29:52Speaker 3: I don't think there's anybody available for them.
- 1:29:56Speaker 6: And I don't think these veterans that change teams are
- 1:29:58Speaker 6: better than Tua. I think clearly I think more Tua
- 1:30:01Speaker 6: than Patriots fans do.
- 1:30:03Speaker 7: I'm with you on Tua for the most.
- 1:30:04Speaker 6: Like, I think he's good. Do I think he's Mahomes, Yeah, I.
- 1:30:07Speaker 8: Think he's good, but need to stay healthy.
- 1:30:10Speaker 7: Yeah, that's it.
- 1:30:10Speaker 10: The biggest at all seventeen last year. The biggest thing
- 1:30:13Speaker 10: with Tua is that.
- 1:30:16Speaker 4: A lot of people, I feel like, have that preconceived
- 1:30:18Speaker 4: notion of what he was before the hip injury at
- 1:30:20Speaker 4: Alabama when he could have been on Mahomes yeah right,
- 1:30:24Speaker 4: and then he had the hip injury and he hasn't
- 1:30:26Speaker 4: been the same guy since then.
- 1:30:27Speaker 6: He's definitely just not offer that kind of mobile like
- 1:30:30Speaker 6: off platform right, No, right.
- 1:30:32Speaker 4: He doesn't have that. And also the lefty thing I think.
- 1:30:35Speaker 7: Is oh right, that's the worst part.
- 1:30:37Speaker 6: So I would say, you know, and I because I
- 1:30:39Speaker 6: was with you, I thought Melvin was going to like yeah,
- 1:30:42Speaker 6: with the way to the Patriots, I do like him
- 1:30:44Speaker 6: a lot to it. I'm not sure I would want
- 1:30:46Speaker 6: him here. I wouldn't want him playing five six seven
- 1:30:50Speaker 6: games in bad weather, no offensive line. No, But I'm
- 1:30:53Speaker 6: just saying like, I don't think his arm strength would
- 1:30:55Speaker 6: be conducive to throwing the ball here in November.
- 1:30:57Speaker 8: No.
- 1:30:57Speaker 7: No, he seems like a good fit for McDaniel, And
- 1:30:59Speaker 7: that's what I just you know, I wonder what's the
- 1:31:02Speaker 7: shelf life. Shelf life like with McDaniel if they had
- 1:31:05Speaker 7: a similar kind of season this year and it's like
- 1:31:07Speaker 7: they look great and you know, and then it kind
- 1:31:08Speaker 7: of starts to fade and it gets cold, and.
- 1:31:11Speaker 6: Absolutely absolutely if he doesn't get it done, that's like,
- 1:31:14Speaker 6: that's why I would combat Evan on Dak Prescott. He
- 1:31:18Speaker 6: doesn't get it done when it counts. At some point,
- 1:31:20Speaker 6: you got to find someone who can't.
- 1:31:21Speaker 7: Yeh, yeah, thanks Momi.
- 1:31:23Speaker 4: I definitely wonder about McDaniel a little bit. Yeah, I
- 1:31:27Speaker 4: don't know, it's gonna start to wear thin.
- 1:31:29Speaker 6: The kind of like he's so goofy that he got
- 1:31:31Speaker 6: cold and he like lost all his brain power.
- 1:31:33Speaker 7: I just.
- 1:31:36Speaker 4: Kind of sense that he's feeling himself a little bit
- 1:31:38Speaker 4: too much. Oh yeah, and now it's sort of becoming
- 1:31:41Speaker 4: more about he's the show and it's like, okay, but
- 1:31:45Speaker 4: you know, Bill became the show here because Bill won.
- 1:31:48Speaker 4: So it's it's different when you have you know, you
- 1:31:50Speaker 4: hang three banners and then you become you know, just
- 1:31:53Speaker 4: as popular as the players.
- 1:31:54Speaker 7: That's a little bit different.
- 1:31:55Speaker 4: But in Miami right now, you know, he all the
- 1:31:58Speaker 4: micd ups are just so good it and that's it.
- 1:32:00Speaker 4: I don't know, I just so he's just kind of
- 1:32:04Speaker 4: a character on and off the field.
- 1:32:06Speaker 7: Yeah. Every time you see him at these like events
- 1:32:07Speaker 7: that we go to, like the owner's meeting stuff, he's
- 1:32:09Speaker 7: always just yucking it up. And I mean I like him.
- 1:32:12Speaker 3: Miami Lifestyle.
- 1:32:13Speaker 6: He's got to find a way to win games in January. Yeah,
- 1:32:16Speaker 6: if you can't, he will be on the hot seat,
- 1:32:19Speaker 6: no question.
- 1:32:20Speaker 8: Especially with that roster, like you have no excuse.
- 1:32:24Speaker 7: Jayleen Waddel's all locked up and yeah, quick question here
- 1:32:28Speaker 7: from Dan and Va via Michigan. He just he apologized
- 1:32:32Speaker 7: he missed a couple of things. But what's the story
- 1:32:33Speaker 7: of Tamara meeting Mariska Hargate? Oo?
- 1:32:37Speaker 8: Okay, so I was at a Glamour Woman of the
- 1:32:40Speaker 8: Year event and again.
- 1:32:42Speaker 6: You're being honored.
- 1:32:43Speaker 8: I was not being honored.
- 1:32:44Speaker 7: Was the year?
- 1:32:45Speaker 3: Yes?
- 1:32:45Speaker 7: Okay. One of the day I was a.
- 1:32:47Speaker 8: Guest and I was in the bathroom and my sister
- 1:32:50Speaker 8: texted me. She was like, oh my god, Olivia Bentson
- 1:32:52Speaker 8: is outside. You have to get out of the bathroom.
- 1:32:54Speaker 7: And I'm like, what they just talking about it in
- 1:32:55Speaker 7: her movie in her character.
- 1:32:56Speaker 8: Name to and it's so I like run out. And
- 1:33:01Speaker 8: actually the person that I was there with that was
- 1:33:04Speaker 8: like hosting me went up to Mariska and was like,
- 1:33:07Speaker 8: we have someone who wants to meet you. And she
- 1:33:09Speaker 8: was so nice, like just as you would imagine her
- 1:33:12Speaker 8: to be. I feel like sometimes when you meet your
- 1:33:15Speaker 8: like celebrity crush or celebrity icon, they're like horrible or
- 1:33:18Speaker 8: just kind of snooty or like don't talk to me.
- 1:33:20Speaker 8: But she was everything.
- 1:33:22Speaker 7: It's pretty cool. So nice? Is she your favorite member
- 1:33:27Speaker 7: of all Law and Order casts? If you had to
- 1:33:29Speaker 7: pick one person from all the Law and Orders? Would
- 1:33:32Speaker 7: she be the one you would pick? Yes?
- 1:33:34Speaker 8: And then Stabler's probably like a close second.
- 1:33:36Speaker 6: So the actor Stabler her plus one.
- 1:33:40Speaker 7: He should have been Wait is that Chris Maloy? Is
- 1:33:43Speaker 7: that his name? Maloney? Maloney Maloney?
- 1:33:47Speaker 8: He would have been close second. Yeah, he had been
- 1:33:49Speaker 8: close second.
- 1:33:49Speaker 6: Trying to thank you who my favorite all time?
- 1:33:52Speaker 7: Jerry Orba.
- 1:33:54Speaker 8: I would love one day to be walking down the
- 1:33:55Speaker 8: streets of New York and run into them.
- 1:33:57Speaker 7: Cabin She's great. Stephanie marche Dan have one more questions,
- 1:34:02Speaker 7: just asking will there be a regular Patriots Hall of
- 1:34:04Speaker 7: Fame induction later this year on the committee, there will
- 1:34:07Speaker 7: not be any further discussion about Bill and what we
- 1:34:10Speaker 7: might what we might do with it.
- 1:34:11Speaker 6: No, I assume I'll be at the first meeting and
- 1:34:13Speaker 6: then not invited back to any after.
- 1:34:15Speaker 7: That for that as well.
- 1:34:16Speaker 6: You may have seen you may have seen it, actually
- 1:34:20Speaker 6: not at all. I was thinking the all access that
- 1:34:24Speaker 6: Mike was talking about. You might have seen the very
- 1:34:26Speaker 6: first scene featured prominently my bald spot right there in
- 1:34:30Speaker 6: the camera, and then all the ensuing meetings that you
- 1:34:33Speaker 6: know you saw Deuce's winking, handsome face at some of
- 1:34:37Speaker 6: those meetings. Paul was not invited back after he came
- 1:34:39Speaker 6: up with the idea, and we see no credit for it.
- 1:34:43Speaker 6: But I was I was all team. I was team Buroll.
- 1:34:47Speaker 6: I was team Burell. I was always just like. I
- 1:34:51Speaker 6: never never said why. I wasn't asked back because my
- 1:34:54Speaker 6: rolling team broll.
- 1:34:56Speaker 4: How are we doing the panels?
- 1:34:58Speaker 7: I was thinking, you'll be great. So I have a
- 1:35:00Speaker 7: great idea for Bill's panels, like we'll get all this
- 1:35:02Speaker 7: elementary school teachers together and do like twenty thirty minutes
- 1:35:05Speaker 7: of them just talking about it. Oh that sounds all right,
- 1:35:09Speaker 7: we can move. I got more panels. Then we can
- 1:35:10Speaker 7: move panels. Second scene, Brady, Oh, I got panels. Don't worry.
- 1:35:15Speaker 7: I got panels all day long.
- 1:35:17Speaker 6: I got panels.
- 1:35:18Speaker 7: Let's see what else? What else? Wow? This is producing
- 1:35:27Speaker 7: the kids not ready. Well that's just out from Wisconsin. Sain.
- 1:35:31Speaker 7: It's really funny in a sad way to hear you
- 1:35:32Speaker 7: talk about the Bruins not generating, eiding, generating any offense,
- 1:35:36Speaker 7: when in fact they outscored the Patriots. They do have
- 1:35:40Speaker 7: an elite sniper. I mean, that's the thing, what they have.
- 1:35:42Speaker 7: They got an elite sniper, and they got a really
- 1:35:44Speaker 7: good goalie. And I mean, I'm kind of unmacable. I
- 1:35:46Speaker 7: think he's a good player, but I don't think he's
- 1:35:48Speaker 7: But you know, like they have. This is what it
- 1:35:50Speaker 7: looks like when you have an awesome sniper and a
- 1:35:51Speaker 7: really good goalie and a good team.
- 1:35:53Speaker 6: They have a good team if they do not have
- 1:35:54Speaker 6: a Stanley Cup contender.
- 1:35:56Speaker 4: In my view, no, they weren't deep enough this year
- 1:35:58Speaker 4: to win the Cups.
- 1:36:01Speaker 6: Two years ago they were stacked. They had a really
- 1:36:03Speaker 6: good team that they augmented with really good moves at
- 1:36:07Speaker 6: the deadline. I have to give Don Sweeney credit. I
- 1:36:09Speaker 6: thought every movie he made address something that they were
- 1:36:12Speaker 6: a little bit shure, and it just didn't work. The
- 1:36:15Speaker 6: dea didn't work.
- 1:36:16Speaker 4: The only thing that I didn't like about the Deadline
- 1:36:18Speaker 4: two years ago was that they almost had too many
- 1:36:20Speaker 4: players and then they got into a position where they
- 1:36:23Speaker 4: had to pick each night in the playoffs, like who
- 1:36:25Speaker 4: are the eighteen guys were actually going to roll with
- 1:36:27Speaker 4: in this game? And there was always one guy that
- 1:36:30Speaker 4: was a healthy scratch. They were that would have played
- 1:36:32Speaker 4: on all the other teams but the Bruins, And it
- 1:36:35Speaker 4: kind of felt like they, you know, got too caught
- 1:36:37Speaker 4: up in in mixing and matching and stuff. But I
- 1:36:40Speaker 4: know Charlie McAvoy had had a rough series against Toronto,
- 1:36:42Speaker 4: but I think Charlie McAvoy is a great player. Uh,
- 1:36:45Speaker 4: Pasta is good obviously. And then they have like a
- 1:36:47Speaker 4: bunch of Coils and Zakas, like those are all guys
- 1:36:50Speaker 4: that you know, good players are good players. The Bruins
- 1:36:53Speaker 4: are a good team and they'll make the playoffs again.
- 1:36:56Speaker 4: They missed that top center, that's what again?
- 1:36:59Speaker 7: And think they choked?
- 1:37:00Speaker 8: Okay, who is the Bruins comparison in the NFL that
- 1:37:05Speaker 8: you think they win a lot of regular season games.
- 1:37:08Speaker 8: But then I think so.
- 1:37:12Speaker 6: Like Dallas and Buffalo came to mind, But I think
- 1:37:14Speaker 6: both Dallas and Buffalo are far more talented.
- 1:37:17Speaker 4: But I also think, I mean, Buffalo has never won
- 1:37:19Speaker 4: at least the Bruins.
- 1:37:21Speaker 7: They did one. This is a little inside social media.
- 1:37:29Speaker 7: Andrew in La, pointing out Tamara Matist, thought the topic
- 1:37:32Speaker 7: of Hawk Tua was pretty funny. Maybe you should ask
- 1:37:35Speaker 7: them about why they were giggling. Which have you seen
- 1:37:38Speaker 7: the new Girl? Everyone? How does that take over the
- 1:37:42Speaker 7: whole internet? I'm like, I can't get away from it.
- 1:37:44Speaker 7: There's songs. I mean, it's and like all these people
- 1:37:48Speaker 7: trying to figure out where this girl is. Who's just
- 1:37:50Speaker 7: like some.
- 1:37:53Speaker 6: You didn't watch any of the Stanley Cup. I watch
- 1:37:55Speaker 6: a little yeah the Edmonton Girl.
- 1:37:57Speaker 7: Oh yeah yeah, which, by the way, everybody found her
- 1:38:01Speaker 7: and then like couldn't be more awkward, Like every interaction
- 1:38:04Speaker 7: they have with putting her on, she's you know, super
- 1:38:06Speaker 7: stiff and awkward. But but the to a girl, I
- 1:38:08Speaker 7: can't get away from it. That's gonna I'm off a
- 1:38:10Speaker 7: Twitter now, and I.
- 1:38:11Speaker 6: Well see that to me was really like I saw it,
- 1:38:13Speaker 6: and I was really funny and I laughed, But now,
- 1:38:15Speaker 6: like I.
- 1:38:16Speaker 3: Don't over kill that.
- 1:38:17Speaker 6: I'm kind of like.
- 1:38:18Speaker 7: Songs and we got to track her down to this, right,
- 1:38:22Speaker 7: and then you see all like fake manufactured stories about
- 1:38:25Speaker 7: like well her dad's a pastor and now he's been fired.
- 1:38:28Speaker 6: Like everyone's different one of those already what I understand right, Like,
- 1:38:34Speaker 6: I well, they're all I mean there's like six of them,
- 1:38:36Speaker 6: Like they're all they all pop up.
- 1:38:38Speaker 7: But I don't get it. You can't escape it is
- 1:38:40Speaker 7: it just takes. I think it's just TikTok mostly right now.
- 1:38:42Speaker 7: It might be Instagram too, but it's everywhere. This poor
- 1:38:45Speaker 7: this poor girl.
- 1:38:46Speaker 6: I just love the accent that this sudden night.
- 1:38:49Speaker 7: Poor girl.
- 1:38:51Speaker 3: So much money off of this.
- 1:38:52Speaker 7: So can I bring up one thing before the end
- 1:38:56Speaker 7: of the show. I don't know if it's going to
- 1:38:57Speaker 7: be serious.
- 1:38:58Speaker 4: It's gonna be semi serious. So Fred Bossman's on vacation
- 1:39:02Speaker 4: as we all know, but still have the time to
- 1:39:04Speaker 4: tweet at me last night about the fun team down
- 1:39:08Speaker 4: at What do you think about it against big Win
- 1:39:14Speaker 4: more triples?
- 1:39:16Speaker 7: I think I think we've got more triples. I think
- 1:39:18Speaker 7: they're niney last eleven.
- 1:39:20Speaker 6: They are red hot. It's not good for me.
- 1:39:23Speaker 7: I'm trying to buy tickets on a very specific day
- 1:39:25Speaker 7: in July with my in laws that we have to
- 1:39:27Speaker 7: go to the game and like the price.
- 1:39:28Speaker 6: Yeah, starting with that Philly series, it's two out of
- 1:39:31Speaker 6: three over the Phillies, two out of three over the
- 1:39:33Speaker 6: Yankees swept Toronto, two out of three over since the
- 1:39:36Speaker 6: big comeback win, four wins in the last fourteen games,
- 1:39:41Speaker 6: trailing after the seventh inning after having zero in like
- 1:39:45Speaker 6: the previous one hundred and whatever many games.
- 1:39:47Speaker 7: Fun team. I hope that it's been a question. It's
- 1:39:52Speaker 7: been a fun team the last two weeks.
- 1:39:53Speaker 4: Yeah, it is funny how how that it's literally just
- 1:39:56Speaker 4: been the last two and a half weeks that they've
- 1:39:58Speaker 4: actually been good and and everything longer and everybody is like, oh,
- 1:40:03Speaker 4: they really good. They're starting to come together and things
- 1:40:05Speaker 4: are it's like, let's let's.
- 1:40:07Speaker 6: So now you know, so now you have my attention.
- 1:40:09Speaker 6: As I said to Fred last week.
- 1:40:11Speaker 7: Right, beat a good team.
- 1:40:12Speaker 6: So the team, what are they going to do with
- 1:40:16Speaker 6: the deadline? Nothing they did Toronto stinks. But Toronto's lost
- 1:40:20Speaker 6: like seven in a row. Oh but that's what I
- 1:40:21Speaker 6: heard you say last It was, Yeah, they gotta beat
- 1:40:23Speaker 6: the beat. They beat the Phillies and they beat the Yankees.
- 1:40:25Speaker 6: Those are the only two good teams they beat all season.
- 1:40:28Speaker 6: Those are the only two wins over teams with winning
- 1:40:30Speaker 6: records for the entire season. They just happen to come
- 1:40:33Speaker 6: back to back. But it clearly served as a turning
- 1:40:37Speaker 6: point for them in a springboard because now they're beating
- 1:40:40Speaker 6: the crap out of the bad teams too.
- 1:40:42Speaker 4: So there's seven games over five hundred.
- 1:40:44Speaker 6: Right, and they're only I mean, they're only half a
- 1:40:46Speaker 6: game I head, you know, in the playoffs, but they're
- 1:40:49Speaker 6: only a game behind the next wildcard spot, so they
- 1:40:52Speaker 6: could move up to like the fifth spot. Jared Durant
- 1:40:54Speaker 6: All Star Game has ten triples, you.
- 1:40:56Speaker 7: Know, third base, He get all the way to the third.
- 1:41:00Speaker 4: They're athletic, they run fun.
- 1:41:02Speaker 7: Just keep running.
- 1:41:03Speaker 6: You get extra wins from what fast?
- 1:41:05Speaker 10: You don't want home runs the funniest, just want the
- 1:41:08Speaker 10: funniest part about the game last night is that, like,
- 1:41:10Speaker 10: obviously Durant had to walk off and he made a
- 1:41:13Speaker 10: good catch, but like Devers also hit like a four
- 1:41:15Speaker 10: hundred and fifty foot home run, and like we don't
- 1:41:17Speaker 10: talk about the home run.
- 1:41:18Speaker 7: We talked about how which, by the way, got them
- 1:41:20Speaker 7: back in the game.
- 1:41:21Speaker 4: Yeah, we talk about how fun Jared Duran single when
- 1:41:24Speaker 4: the game was.
- 1:41:25Speaker 7: We've covered all Boston sports. We got another we got
- 1:41:28Speaker 7: another keep trade cut from our friend Kyle and pembroke.
- 1:41:31Speaker 4: The revs too that I did not know.
- 1:41:34Speaker 7: Five questions Patriots slot wide receiver Edelman, Welker and Branch
- 1:41:39Speaker 7: keep trade cut. That's just I can't cut. I can't
- 1:41:44Speaker 7: cut Welker a Branch. I think I'm gonna keep Edelman,
- 1:41:46Speaker 7: but I.
- 1:41:46Speaker 6: Can't keep Welker. But I can't like it's that's You
- 1:41:50Speaker 6: can give me any of those three, I'll be fine.
- 1:41:52Speaker 4: We're gonna be in trouble if we picked.
- 1:41:54Speaker 7: Oh my god, Boston Pizza. I don't know if I Ernesto's,
- 1:41:58Speaker 7: Regina's and Centarpio's.
- 1:42:02Speaker 4: Not.
- 1:42:02Speaker 6: I do not know Whereto's fire the other two in
- 1:42:05Speaker 6: the North.
- 1:42:06Speaker 4: End genas Regina resident expert, I would I would say
- 1:42:11Speaker 4: that I would. I would still put for Gina's number one.
- 1:42:13Speaker 7: It's gotten a little. It's a little bit touristy.
- 1:42:16Speaker 3: Now I likes, I respect her. Gina's is up.
- 1:42:19Speaker 7: There, but gas a little.
- 1:42:20Speaker 6: It's gotten a little tour re Genas has like other places,
- 1:42:24Speaker 6: and if you really want to go, you need to
- 1:42:26Speaker 6: go to the one in the original.
- 1:42:28Speaker 4: Yeah, the one in Brighton is not bad. It's on
- 1:42:30Speaker 4: the by the train station mass Pike and like the
- 1:42:32Speaker 4: Bruins and Celtics practice facilities are right there. It's not terrible.
- 1:42:36Speaker 6: You just hang out there. See if like comes up.
- 1:42:40Speaker 7: Linus it's Linus Sandwiches. That's yes, that's that's.
- 1:42:44Speaker 8: Actually I'm nervous for this.
- 1:42:46Speaker 7: Cheeseburgers, fried chicken sandwich, and reuben very hot.
- 1:42:51Speaker 6: Wait, okay, time out before that's easy, right in that order,
- 1:42:54Speaker 6: cheeseburger before.
- 1:42:55Speaker 8: We answer this, though, I do not count a cheeseburger
- 1:42:58Speaker 8: or chicken sandwich as a sandwich.
- 1:43:00Speaker 13: Weird.
- 1:43:00Speaker 3: I just said chicken sandwich, chicken, but I think.
- 1:43:05Speaker 8: When I hear sandwich, I'm thinking Jersey Mike.
- 1:43:07Speaker 7: Yeah, well, there is a there's subs next, which is
- 1:43:09Speaker 7: Italian Steak and Cheese and b l T for subs,
- 1:43:12Speaker 7: not a bel.
- 1:43:14Speaker 4: Italian steak and cheese, Steak and cheeseak and cheese.
- 1:43:24Speaker 6: Jersey Last One Jersey Quarterbacks Delivery The White Quarterback Addiction Edition,
- 1:43:33Speaker 6: Tom Bridge and Burrow, Herbert or Alan.
- 1:43:36Speaker 15: We know what's gonna say.
- 1:43:38Speaker 6: I'm gonna cut Herbert, I mean those three definitely, I'm
- 1:43:43Speaker 6: going I'm gonna keep Allen.
- 1:43:45Speaker 4: Thank you Burrow, but Burrow it's got some winter qualities.
- 1:43:50Speaker 4: That just he made that one super Bowl that one time.
- 1:43:52Speaker 8: Guys, remember I just Burrow keep Brow. I'm just he
- 1:43:59Speaker 8: just loves Josh.
- 1:44:00Speaker 7: It's not even too I kept all. It's mostly that.
- 1:44:03Speaker 8: Did you did you cry when Bill burd made that
- 1:44:05Speaker 8: joke about Josh?
- 1:44:06Speaker 7: I actually thought that that was funny.
- 1:44:08Speaker 6: I thought that was just I thought that was the
- 1:44:10Speaker 6: one funny thing.
- 1:44:11Speaker 7: I thought that was distasteful, but I did not.
- 1:44:14Speaker 6: I thought it was so good, and I thought the
- 1:44:17Speaker 6: picture itself was perfect.
- 1:44:19Speaker 7: Is like stupid look on his face and all.
- 1:44:22Speaker 4: Seriously though, can we can we see it from Joe Burrow?
- 1:44:26Speaker 4: Yeah again, Yeah, like don't get hurt, so you don't.
- 1:44:30Speaker 4: But like the year after he went to the Super Bowl, him.
- 1:44:33Speaker 6: Like taking Mahomes to Yeah the wire on the in
- 1:44:38Speaker 6: the AFC Championship the next year wasn't enough.
- 1:44:40Speaker 7: Yeah that No, he's a great player. They went to.
- 1:44:42Speaker 6: Buffalo and beat them and then they went to Kansas City.
- 1:44:45Speaker 7: I'm not like kind of got screwed. Let's say it.
- 1:44:47Speaker 6: With that late hit out about it.
- 1:44:49Speaker 4: I'm not saying that he's not a great player. I'm
- 1:44:51Speaker 4: just saying that he's had some injuries. It's been barely
- 1:44:55Speaker 4: two years, like Josh Allen's done it now for four
- 1:44:58Speaker 4: or five years in a row, you know, really going
- 1:45:00Speaker 4: back to what like nineteen twenty, you know.
- 1:45:02Speaker 7: So Josh Allen to me.
- 1:45:04Speaker 6: Is more of a dual threat than Burrows. And that's
- 1:45:07Speaker 6: why I would say, plus, you know, bigger, stronger, all
- 1:45:10Speaker 6: that stuff.
- 1:45:11Speaker 7: Healthy for me.
- 1:45:12Speaker 6: But he hasn't won one time. He hasn't won in
- 1:45:14Speaker 6: the playoffs the way Burrows fair. But I would take
- 1:45:18Speaker 6: Gallon over Burrow.
- 1:45:19Speaker 7: Yeah, I think I would too. It just seems that
- 1:45:21Speaker 7: both those guys though two years ago, those guys it
- 1:45:25Speaker 7: was like the sky's the limit, these gout, you know,
- 1:45:28Speaker 7: and now you're starting to just get a little warts.
- 1:45:30Speaker 6: I mean it's you know, windows closed. That's the third
- 1:45:34Speaker 6: year I'm entered the season with their windows.
- 1:45:38Speaker 7: Really, And this is kind of what I mean with
- 1:45:39Speaker 7: Drake May too, Not that we have these grand aspirations
- 1:45:43Speaker 7: of him being those as talented as those guys just yet,
- 1:45:45Speaker 7: but you know, it's it's all it's all sunshine and rainbows, right,
- 1:45:48Speaker 7: rainbows right now when you get in a rookie and
- 1:45:51Speaker 7: oh my god, he's good, you know, but it's like
- 1:45:53Speaker 7: all right, but then he has a year returns acl
- 1:45:55Speaker 7: or he has a year where I guess what, they're
- 1:45:57Speaker 7: trading away your top weapon and you're gonna have to
- 1:45:58Speaker 7: try to figure it out again.
- 1:45:59Speaker 6: You know. It's just it starts to build up. And
- 1:46:01Speaker 6: that's what Herbert the challenges. You know, we all agreed
- 1:46:04Speaker 6: that we would trade Herbert. Now he's got Jim Harbaugh
- 1:46:08Speaker 6: coming in, so you can't just say, well, it's because
- 1:46:12Speaker 6: Staley is going for fourth downs and not taking field goals.
- 1:46:15Speaker 6: Now he's got a regular coach who's got a track
- 1:46:17Speaker 6: record receivers, he's got a track record of success in
- 1:46:20Speaker 6: the NFL.
- 1:46:21Speaker 7: If he's not better.
- 1:46:23Speaker 4: It's also tough because it was kind of the same
- 1:46:26Speaker 4: thing in college at Oregon.
- 1:46:29Speaker 7: He lost too much.
- 1:46:30Speaker 4: Yeah, where like he just you could clearly tell it
- 1:46:32Speaker 4: Oregon that he was super talented, but it just didn't
- 1:46:35Speaker 4: match up with the results all the time. That's sort
- 1:46:37Speaker 4: of where we're at in the NFL with him too.
- 1:46:39Speaker 4: And some guys are just like that where it's, yeah,
- 1:46:41Speaker 4: this guy's six six and can throw the ball a mile,
- 1:46:43Speaker 4: and we know he's got all these intangibles.
- 1:46:45Speaker 7: But is he a killer? Like like they call Tom right,
- 1:46:49Speaker 7: like that was everything good looking.
- 1:46:57Speaker 8: He gives you like surfer vibes.
- 1:46:58Speaker 4: Though that was well, that was the knock on him
- 1:47:00Speaker 4: coming out that important to him. Yeah, that he wasn't
- 1:47:04Speaker 4: the killer, like he didn't have that eye of the tiger.
- 1:47:06Speaker 7: That he was just kind of with Burrow. I think
- 1:47:09Speaker 7: your point. He kind of seems like he has that.
- 1:47:11Speaker 7: He's got that like.
- 1:47:12Speaker 4: I think Josh Allen does to his teams, just have
- 1:47:15Speaker 4: kind of not had it because Josh Allen's playoff stats
- 1:47:17Speaker 4: are And.
- 1:47:17Speaker 6: That's what bugs me is some of the games the
- 1:47:20Speaker 6: way they've lost, like like just this past one where
- 1:47:23Speaker 6: they're they're down by three at the end of the
- 1:47:26Speaker 6: game and they have to drive and he drops a
- 1:47:29Speaker 6: bomb right in Stefan Diggs's hands. He drops it, but
- 1:47:32Speaker 6: that doesn't stop the drive. He continues to drive into
- 1:47:35Speaker 6: field goal range and his idiot kicker misses the kick
- 1:47:38Speaker 6: like there's only you know, it's back to the you know,
- 1:47:45Speaker 6: he cannot throw the ball and catch it like there's
- 1:47:47Speaker 6: only so much.
- 1:47:48Speaker 7: I mean, I know that you have to. This is
- 1:47:50Speaker 7: what we do now, Like we're on these shows and
- 1:47:52Speaker 7: we all do it too.
- 1:47:53Speaker 6: I'm not making fun of first take, you know all
- 1:47:56Speaker 6: these other shows, our shows. Everybody's to be labeled. Joe
- 1:48:02Speaker 6: Burrow is a winner, Josh Allen's a loser. Like you
- 1:48:04Speaker 6: have to have a label for everything, Like how about
- 1:48:08Speaker 6: he's played pretty well in some of these games that
- 1:48:11Speaker 6: they've lost, Like, I don't know what else a quarterback
- 1:48:13Speaker 6: could do in that game that they lost to Kansas
- 1:48:16Speaker 6: City a couple of years ago in the divisional route.
- 1:48:17Speaker 7: Yeah, it's it's the same thing with like two or
- 1:48:19Speaker 7: two that all these guys are starting to like pick
- 1:48:22Speaker 7: up what their question is, like can he win the
- 1:48:24Speaker 7: big one? Or can he stay healthy?
- 1:48:26Speaker 6: Why is that what he's trying to you know, we
- 1:48:31Speaker 6: picked that up. It's like a slogan in his agency
- 1:48:34Speaker 6: in LA.
- 1:48:36Speaker 4: I just wonder, you know, we're talking about Mike McDaniel earlier.
- 1:48:39Speaker 4: Sean McDermott, is that seat's got to be scolding. He's
- 1:48:43Speaker 4: definitely on that that that is I make fun of
- 1:48:47Speaker 4: the whole windil.
- 1:48:47Speaker 6: Thing, but I don't make fun of the McDermott hot
- 1:48:50Speaker 6: seat thing.
- 1:48:51Speaker 7: Sure, he's got to be in trouble.
- 1:48:53Speaker 4: I think it's more of him that's not ready to
- 1:48:54Speaker 4: win the big game than it is Josh Allen. Like
- 1:48:56Speaker 4: the way they've lost some of these games have all
- 1:48:58Speaker 4: been on coaching and they kind of.
- 1:49:00Speaker 6: Ways and that's like you sort of around losers.
- 1:49:03Speaker 7: And is two it in his last year of his deal?
- 1:49:05Speaker 7: Now do you know anybody else use twenty draft picks?
- 1:49:08Speaker 6: They picked up his fifty year option, so if they
- 1:49:10Speaker 6: don't do it before the season, he's playing on his
- 1:49:13Speaker 6: fifty year option.
- 1:49:13Speaker 7: If you had to bet on one guy being there
- 1:49:15Speaker 7: in two years, would you bet on Tour McDaniel If
- 1:49:20Speaker 7: I had to bet on one, if we'll coach of
- 1:49:22Speaker 7: the quarterback still be there in two years, do you
- 1:49:24Speaker 7: think do you think they would stick with tour Do
- 1:49:26Speaker 7: you think they kind of stick with what Mike McDaniel's incorporated.
- 1:49:29Speaker 6: I'm going to say Tour will still be there because
- 1:49:31Speaker 6: I think he's going to get a contract and if
- 1:49:33Speaker 6: it doesn't work, they're going to change the coach.
- 1:49:36Speaker 7: So yeah, I mean, because that's what's crazy to me
- 1:49:38Speaker 7: right right, Well, that's what's crazy to me, is like
- 1:49:40Speaker 7: it's literally he's just coming down to when he's coming
- 1:49:42Speaker 7: up and what you're going to have to pay him
- 1:49:44Speaker 7: not so much. You know, if even internally they believe
- 1:49:48Speaker 7: that we think Mike McDaniel's a genius, we don't really
- 1:49:50Speaker 7: think the quarterback is going to matter, you know, like
- 1:49:52Speaker 7: if they believe that really, right.
- 1:49:54Speaker 6: But if you're asking me what I think is going
- 1:49:55Speaker 6: to happen, I'm going to tell you I think both
- 1:49:57Speaker 6: of them will be there in two years. Yeah, but
- 1:49:59Speaker 6: you said, like one of them is going to be gone?
- 1:50:01Speaker 6: Which one do you think would be more likely to
- 1:50:02Speaker 6: be gone? And I think that would mean that they
- 1:50:04Speaker 6: didn't win a lot of games, but the quarterback probably
- 1:50:06Speaker 6: got a big contract and that might be too soon
- 1:50:09Speaker 6: to get rid of him.
- 1:50:10Speaker 7: Yeah, it's too logical. Yeah, no, you're right. Just but
- 1:50:14Speaker 7: it's again, it's it's it goes back for me to
- 1:50:16Speaker 7: like these teams that you draft the quarterback, and it's like,
- 1:50:19Speaker 7: if Drake May is good, four years from right now,
- 1:50:22Speaker 7: we're gonna be talking about is Drake May getting seventies
- 1:50:25Speaker 7: like you know, sixty mayor quarterback salary cap? But maybe
- 1:50:29Speaker 7: you know, and that's maybe that's why. But that's it
- 1:50:31Speaker 7: just keeps going up. And even though these players have
- 1:50:34Speaker 7: certain wards, you don't have a choice. Like it's like, yeah,
- 1:50:37Speaker 7: we'd love too to be you know, healthy, and but
- 1:50:40Speaker 7: that's not our guy, and we got him and we
- 1:50:42Speaker 7: just have to bite the bullet and give him fifty
- 1:50:44Speaker 7: million dollars a year.
- 1:50:45Speaker 4: I mean, it's crazy though, but it's happening across pretty
- 1:50:47Speaker 4: much all sports except hockey because they're so hard against
- 1:50:50Speaker 4: the cap there. But like Jason Tatum's max contract is
- 1:50:53Speaker 4: going to be three hundred and fifteen million dollars insane.
- 1:50:56Speaker 6: Well, they're already paid another guy three hundred and whatever they're.
- 1:51:00Speaker 4: Gonna he's gonna be a sixty million dollars a year player.
- 1:51:03Speaker 4: And the thing that's crazy about it is he's worth it.
- 1:51:07Speaker 7: You know.
- 1:51:07Speaker 6: That can't really make an argument that they shouldn't do that, right,
- 1:51:10Speaker 6: certainly not in basketball, you know, you know, like Derek.
- 1:51:13Speaker 7: White thirty million dollars.
- 1:51:15Speaker 6: Wow, he's gonna make thirty million dollars a year. Yeah,
- 1:51:20Speaker 6: to be like the fourth option, Yeah, you know, maybe
- 1:51:24Speaker 6: the fifth.
- 1:51:25Speaker 7: Gotta do it. A little story here for you, Tamara
- 1:51:28Speaker 7: from Jack and Ann Armor. He said, I ran into
- 1:51:30Speaker 7: Chris Noath in a convenience store in New York by accident.
- 1:51:33Speaker 7: Big I could see from his expression that he knew
- 1:51:35Speaker 7: I recognized him. We both pretended that I did not
- 1:51:37Speaker 7: recognize him as I asked him for directions to the
- 1:51:40Speaker 7: stand book store.
- 1:51:41Speaker 6: He was very cool, really smooth.
- 1:51:42Speaker 7: I think to Jack, just be like guys going to
- 1:51:44Speaker 7: pretend excuse me, do you know where bathroom is? Very
- 1:51:49Speaker 7: smooth that big mister Big Now Jack, Jack, Jack and
- 1:51:53Speaker 7: Jack and An. I but I would that's that's a
- 1:51:55Speaker 7: cool story.
- 1:51:56Speaker 8: Like I would just love to like see them shooting
- 1:51:59Speaker 8: in the streets of New Work and just be able
- 1:52:00Speaker 8: to observe and watch actually happening because I was signs
- 1:52:06Speaker 8: all the time, like you know, filming for X, Y
- 1:52:08Speaker 8: and Z, and I'm just like, dang, I wish I
- 1:52:10Speaker 8: could see this happening in real life.
- 1:52:11Speaker 6: I saw you're Adam Sadler Halloween movie was shooting, and
- 1:52:15Speaker 6: like right air.
- 1:52:16Speaker 3: Me, they just did. They just did Walking Dead in.
- 1:52:18Speaker 4: My neighborhood, watching things be like watching that, trust me.
- 1:52:23Speaker 4: And I just can speak to this more than I can.
- 1:52:25Speaker 4: It's not what you think.
- 1:52:26Speaker 7: It's really it's cool. For the first couple of times
- 1:52:28Speaker 7: and you know, but like after a while.
- 1:52:30Speaker 6: If you're on the shows I've been in the past,
- 1:52:33Speaker 6: so maybe they're just standing around watching his fan boys.
- 1:52:38Speaker 7: Now it's I tell the video guys all the time,
- 1:52:40Speaker 7: Like I just I find it so tedious, like lighting
- 1:52:43Speaker 7: sound cameras stops.
- 1:52:47Speaker 8: I feel like we just to schedule and our schedule release. Yeah,
- 1:52:51Speaker 8: we kind of saw that like okay, like do it again,
- 1:52:53Speaker 8: but from this angle.
- 1:52:54Speaker 7: It again, and that was and that was we have
- 1:52:57Speaker 7: Julian Niman for the next eight minutes to shoot this
- 1:52:59Speaker 7: whole thing. Like you that was as fast as you
- 1:53:01Speaker 7: could possibly push things in, you know, even when it's uh,
- 1:53:04Speaker 7: you know, anytime you get in like single cam shoots.
- 1:53:06Speaker 7: I know, Paul, you you struggle with the difference between
- 1:53:08Speaker 7: the multicams and the single camp, but you know, single
- 1:53:12Speaker 7: camps are like real movies and it's just you know,
- 1:53:13Speaker 7: it's just set up. After setup, or at least with multicams,
- 1:53:16Speaker 7: you you kind of record it live and then you
- 1:53:18Speaker 7: can kind of cut around and it's not all we
- 1:53:20Speaker 7: got this angle. Now we got to move the camera.
- 1:53:21Speaker 7: You know. It's just I found it incredibly tedious and
- 1:53:24Speaker 7: it was definitely cool early on, but after a while,
- 1:53:26Speaker 7: I was like, man, I'm just coming for free food.
- 1:53:29Speaker 4: It was not built for that world like some people
- 1:53:31Speaker 4: love it. I did my tone in that world when
- 1:53:33Speaker 4: I was in college, and to your point, the lighting
- 1:53:37Speaker 4: and this and that and all this, and I was
- 1:53:39Speaker 4: just like I can't do this.
- 1:53:40Speaker 7: It just wasn't meant fat.
- 1:53:42Speaker 6: I was like an extra and a couple of those
- 1:53:43Speaker 6: things and it's like just never ends. But that was
- 1:53:47Speaker 6: a day doing it and the like. And I'm not
- 1:53:49Speaker 6: lying just because I'm a fat guy. The best part
- 1:53:51Speaker 6: of the day is like lunch. Oh yeah, Like you
- 1:53:53Speaker 6: sit down and like you're literally sitting at a table
- 1:53:56Speaker 6: and like that could be like Courtney coughs, right, you know.
- 1:53:59Speaker 7: We're in the red. We're in the red. Yeah, well
- 1:54:03Speaker 7: that's I mean that that to me, it was eventually
- 1:54:05Speaker 7: because they have like it's written into the contract, like
- 1:54:07Speaker 7: you have to feed people at this time, you know,
- 1:54:09Speaker 7: like it's it has to happen, you know. But then
- 1:54:12Speaker 7: it's like, you know, even the union stuff like you
- 1:54:14Speaker 7: can't move stuff, like you can't pick up a chair
- 1:54:16Speaker 7: and help, like because that's a union thing, like you
- 1:54:18Speaker 7: can't you know that stuff.
- 1:54:20Speaker 4: The breaks for lunch when it's like we have to
- 1:54:23Speaker 4: break at this time. But the director is like, we're
- 1:54:25Speaker 4: not done with this kind of right right then. Like
- 1:54:27Speaker 4: the person keeping time.
- 1:54:28Speaker 7: Is like, that's what June. He was like, maybe you
- 1:54:33Speaker 7: could a d the schedule. I'm like, that's the worst.
- 1:54:35Speaker 7: That's the most stressed job of everything. You're keeping everybody
- 1:54:38Speaker 7: on schedule. You're making sure people are on time. And no, no, no, no,
- 1:54:43Speaker 7: Well can I can I end it a little early? Paul?
- 1:54:46Speaker 7: I know Fred usually does well.
- 1:54:47Speaker 6: I just have to cut my grass.
- 1:54:49Speaker 4: I didn't have nearly enough laundry machine now.
- 1:54:54Speaker 7: And Doc McCleod wrote in and said, no more vacuum
- 1:54:56Speaker 7: c no more talks, no more talk about lawnmowing. As
- 1:54:59Speaker 7: much as much as we love it, but real quick.
