- 0:20Speaker 2: give us the latest from the markets today.
- 0:22Speaker 3: Yep, pretty flat, quiet day here in New Zealand. We
- 0:25Speaker 3: saw in New Zealand government bond year was up two
- 0:26Speaker 3: basis points to four point one percent.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Uh.
- 0:29Speaker 3: The interesting one today with New Zealand dollar. We're pretty
- 0:31Speaker 3: stable against the US dollar at fifty six to thirty five,
- 0:33Speaker 3: but actually fell against the Australian dollar to a twenty
- 0:37Speaker 3: year low of eighty six cents thirty. So it's going
- 0:40Speaker 3: to make your holidays to Australia a bit more expensive. Heather,
- 0:42Speaker 3: there's because IBA number two Andrew Houser, he said, look,
- 0:46Speaker 3: we're not going to cut rates in a hurry. New
- 0:49Speaker 3: Zealand Shire market up zero point one three percent, lad
- 0:52Speaker 3: by a two meridian and for Till main freight the
- 0:54Speaker 3: Spark we've got Maine Throat due to report Wednesday and
- 0:58Speaker 3: for Till due to report Thursday. So there's a bit
- 1:00Speaker 3: going on.
- 1:00Speaker 2: How aan z's results received.
- 1:03Speaker 3: Yeah, Look the az TO underlying cash Unions result was
- 1:06Speaker 3: two point eighty six bigin pretty big number. That's for
- 1:10Speaker 3: the second half of twenty twenty five. It was actually
- 1:13Speaker 3: slightly below expectations. Revenue a bit lighter, costs were below
- 1:16Speaker 3: expectations and the bank increased loan impayments. Provisions are higher
- 1:21Speaker 3: than expected, not because they've got a problem, because they're
- 1:24Speaker 3: actually putting a bit of a hollow log in place. Locally,
- 1:27Speaker 3: the New Zealand am Z business looked pretty solid. Revenue
- 1:31Speaker 3: up to six B and for the half versus five
- 1:33Speaker 3: and a half being for the previous year there than
- 1:36Speaker 3: one hundred and one hundred and forty being a blending
- 1:38Speaker 3: one hundred and sixteen B deposits both up four percent
- 1:41Speaker 3: year on years. So the New Zealand business and Good
- 1:44Speaker 3: Health Ridge when the result first came out here that
- 1:46Speaker 3: the market was a bit meh about it all. But
- 1:49Speaker 3: the New AMZI chief executiveviusly Nu nomatteris he gave a
- 1:53Speaker 3: really good rundown, talked about better need ad dress margins,
- 1:56Speaker 3: better cost reduction. So sheer price actually united up at
- 2:00Speaker 3: its highest ever price thirty seven to seventy five Australian.
- 2:03Speaker 3: That's up two point six percent, so pretty good day.
- 2:05Speaker 3: For the AzID share price.
- 2:06Speaker 2: And we've got Rocket Labs results out tonight. What are
- 2:09Speaker 2: you expecting there?
- 2:10Speaker 3: Yeah, look, this is watching this. The rocket Lab can
- 2:12Speaker 3: beat the top end of it its expectations because we've
- 2:15Speaker 3: seen a really steady launch cadence instead of getting their
- 2:19Speaker 3: launches pretty regular. Thau she had four over the quarter.
- 2:23Speaker 3: Looking for an improvement on profit margins this new Electron
- 2:26Speaker 3: rocket in terms of how that's going, and also their
- 2:29Speaker 3: space systems back and programs back up running in full
- 2:32Speaker 3: production modes, and markets expecting better profit margins very much.
- 2:37Speaker 3: Market will be looking to see how the rocket Lab
- 2:39Speaker 3: is positioned to benefit from what is an accelerating global
- 2:42Speaker 3: satellite launch program, and how they're progressing with the new
- 2:46Speaker 3: generational launch vehicles and contract pipeline. Rocket Lab shep price.
- 2:50Speaker 3: It's pulled back from its October high. We had a
- 2:53Speaker 3: higher US sixty nine to twenty seven. Closed on Friday
- 2:57Speaker 3: at fifty one sixty four, but of course that's still
- 2:59Speaker 3: well up on where it was a year ago, which
- 3:01Speaker 3: was forteen dollars sixty six.
- 3:03Speaker 2: Hey, Shane, always good to talk to you mate, Thanks
- 3:05Speaker 2: so much. We'll talk to you again next week. Shane
