Lucas, I've been thinking — we've talked about bakeries, supermarkets, even the airport, but what about just going to a park? Lucas: Oh, that's a great idea! A park is a perfect place to use some simple French. Let's start with: Je vais au parc. Luna: Je vais au parc. That's 'I'm going to the park', right? Lucas: Exactly. Je vais au parc. Let's say it together: Je vais au parc. Luna: Je vais au parc. Lucas: Perfect. Now, once you're at the park, you might want to say what you're doing. For example, Je marche. Luna: Je marche. That means 'I walk' or 'I'm walking'. Lucas: Yes! Je marche. Let's try it: Je marche. Luna: Je marche. Lucas: Great. And if you see a friend and want to ask if they want to play, you can say: Tu veux jouer? Luna: Tu veux jouer? 'Do you want to play?' I love that. Tu veux jouer? Lucas: Nice. Tu veux jouer? Now imagine you're just taking a leisurely stroll. That's: Je me promène. Luna: Je me promène. That sounds fancy — 'I'm taking a walk'. Lucas: It does, but it's common. Je me promène. Say it with me: Je me promène. Luna: Je me promène. Lucas: And after all that walking, you might be tired. So: Je suis fatigué. Luna: Je suis fatigué. 'I'm tired.' That's useful. Je suis fatigué. Lucas: Exactly. Let's put them in a little story. Imagine I say: Je vais au parc. Je marche. Ensuite, je me promène. Et puis, je suis fatigué. Luna: Okay: 'I'm going to the park. I walk. Then, I take a walk. And then, I'm tired.' That works! Lucas: Now you try. You're at the park with a friend. What do you say to ask if they want to play? Luna: Tu veux jouer? Lucas: Perfect.
