Latest / FPL Pod / S7 Ep19: FPL Pod: What to do with Man City players?
Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: It's time to talk about that man again. Only one
- 0:03Speaker 1: of us now owns Earling Harland. We discussed premiums in depth,
- 0:07Speaker 1: look ahead to the congested Christmas schedule, and suggests Forcio
- 0:10Speaker 1: Sucker as the standout captains the option. Hello, welcome back
- 0:18Speaker 1: to the FPL pod. Thursday comes around very quickly these days.
- 0:21Speaker 1: It feels a big game week last week. Congratulations if
- 0:25Speaker 1: you captained Mostsella. I can't believe I'm here to be
- 0:27Speaker 1: honest as someone that didn't own him.
- 0:29Speaker 2: But I am.
- 0:29Speaker 1: I survived Kelly Summer's back with Sam Bonfield and Julian
- 0:32Speaker 1: and Laron, two very smug Salar owners, but Jewles didn't
- 0:35Speaker 1: captain him Jews.
- 0:39Speaker 3: Yeah, you're right, You're right.
- 0:41Speaker 2: I mean, the whole truth is that I swapped them
- 0:43Speaker 2: between Swapdham the umband between him and Harland pretty much.
- 0:48Speaker 2: On Friday, I was in Saudi Arabia for work and
- 0:50Speaker 2: Saturday morning, and then I took the kids to the
- 0:54Speaker 2: cinema in the morning, and then I forgot to I
- 0:56Speaker 2: promise you this is the truth.
- 0:57Speaker 3: I forgot to put it back onto Salah.
- 1:00Speaker 2: That's why even in the tweet that posted with my team,
- 1:02Speaker 2: I said the captain Halen Oh Salah, I was still
- 1:05Speaker 2: and I was very much like come on shortly Motala
- 1:07Speaker 2: as the one.
- 1:07Speaker 3: So then I was.
- 1:09Speaker 2: Very stressed watching the game against Southampton, and to be fair,
- 1:12Speaker 2: for most of.
- 1:13Speaker 3: It he was not really much into it.
- 1:14Speaker 2: And then SOMETI came from the northboard gave him two
- 1:18Speaker 2: gifts two goals, and I was fuming.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Sam, I don't know what I'm more surprised about that
- 1:23Speaker 1: the fact that Joe's actually did something with his kids
- 1:25Speaker 1: or he forgot the dead.
- 1:31Speaker 4: I thought you did it just to troll me, because
- 1:34Speaker 4: then when Man City beats Burds, you could come on
- 1:36Speaker 4: here and be like, oh and I captains Harlan.
- 1:39Speaker 3: No no, no, no, no no no.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Although I thought I really thought he would do much
- 1:43Speaker 2: better against than to be fair, he could easily have
- 1:45Speaker 2: had two goals. So no, it was just I hesitated,
- 1:50Speaker 2: really and then I thought Salah has to be the pick,
- 1:53Speaker 2: and then I just.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Didn't do it, Sam, How did your team do elsewhere?
- 1:56Speaker 1: I can just point out one thing for you, only further,
- 1:57Speaker 1: I didn't have Salah yet somehow I beat you both.
- 2:00Speaker 1: I don't know how, but I did.
- 2:02Speaker 4: I think it was one of those weeks, though, wasn't
- 2:04Speaker 4: it where if you had the right other players then
- 2:06Speaker 4: you could you could get away with it because there
- 2:09Speaker 4: were so many other big holes, like if you had Kenya,
- 2:12Speaker 4: or you had Jil Pedro, or you double up on
- 2:15Speaker 4: the Arsenal defense as well, or you'd had soccer, then
- 2:19Speaker 4: you could get away with it. Whereas for my team
- 2:22Speaker 4: it was a it was a weird week because like,
- 2:25Speaker 4: I have never been so cross at a player as
- 2:27Speaker 4: I was at Madawak when it got in the way
- 2:29Speaker 4: of that Cole Palmer shot, because I was like, that's
- 2:32Speaker 4: a load of points. And I was watching that game
- 2:34Speaker 4: with my dad, who's a massive Chelsea fan, and he
- 2:37Speaker 4: was like, I don't understand why you're so angry about this,
- 2:39Speaker 4: and I was like, FPR points dat. But yeah, I
- 2:43Speaker 4: think for me it was just it was it was
- 2:46Speaker 4: a good game week. I had Raya, I'd played Gardil
- 2:50Speaker 4: and I probably shouldn't. But although to be fair, how
- 2:54Speaker 4: he didn't get an attacking return in that game against Burds,
- 2:56Speaker 4: I still don't really know like his attacking threats is
- 3:00Speaker 4: had At the moment, I had Strand Larson instead of Kunya,
- 3:03Speaker 4: which is such a frustration, but you know, at least
- 3:08Speaker 4: he got an assist towards the back end of that game,
- 3:10Speaker 4: I had Dominic Selanki. And then when you only get
- 3:14Speaker 4: an assist in a four goal victory, that's also a
- 3:17Speaker 4: bit annoying. But yeah, I mean, look it was it
- 3:20Speaker 4: was a fine game. We'd got fifty four. It was
- 3:22Speaker 4: a tiny, tiny, little red couple of hundred k places,
- 3:26Speaker 4: So yeah, it was okay I'd captained Salah, but Bruno
- 3:31Speaker 4: and Palmer not returning. When you've got that level of
- 3:34Speaker 4: budget and players and they don't return, it's annoying.
- 3:37Speaker 1: I know what you're going to do with Bruno, will
- 3:38Speaker 1: talk about him very shortly, Juels. Overall, you've got fifty seven,
- 3:42Speaker 1: so just a few more than Sam. I know you're
- 3:44Speaker 1: not happy with the captaincy, but elsewhere, how did the
- 3:46Speaker 1: team do? What will you please with?
- 3:47Speaker 2: Yeah, I swear it was great, and fifty seven got
- 3:51Speaker 2: me a green arrow again then the third game week
- 3:53Speaker 2: in a row, so that was good. Obviously if i'd
- 3:55Speaker 2: had if I had captain Salah, it would have been
- 3:57Speaker 2: even a better. But Henderson with the penalty save of
- 4:02Speaker 2: course Saliba the bike. We said that Arsonal would would
- 4:04Speaker 2: would get more solid now and I think I think
- 4:07Speaker 2: they're desertainly underway. Salah, we said, Nicol Jackson really with
- 4:11Speaker 2: the goal and the assist, well, you know what I
- 4:15Speaker 2: think it's it should never be given as an assist
- 4:17Speaker 2: when you have a shot and that the keeper saves it,
- 4:19Speaker 2: and even if somebody.
- 4:20Speaker 3: Scores on the rebound. It's crazy. But I talked, I
- 4:22Speaker 3: took those points. But yeah, Nico.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Nico was the one that really pleased me the most
- 4:26Speaker 2: because we talked a lot about Ko Patman and we
- 4:28Speaker 2: said in last week's show, if you can't afford him
- 4:30Speaker 2: because he's expensive, Nichol is a great replacement. And Nicole
- 4:34Speaker 2: is still expensive in a way for forwards in the
- 4:37Speaker 2: game compared to others. But but he's been in really
- 4:40Speaker 2: good form this season. I think he deserves maybe a
- 4:43Speaker 2: high higher ownership.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Yeah, I know what you mean. Actually, I have spoiler.
- 4:48Speaker 1: I have made my transfers that made them on Saturday night,
- 4:50Speaker 1: and Jackson was nearly one that I brought in. I
- 4:53Speaker 1: didn't go for him in the end. You concerned about
- 4:55Speaker 1: has at all.
- 4:56Speaker 2: I was surprised you didn't play at all to be
- 5:00Speaker 2: in the game against Forrest, But then he came back
- 5:03Speaker 2: and played against Sporting in the Champions Leon Shoes and
- 5:05Speaker 2: I did really well, linking up everything, scoring a goal
- 5:09Speaker 2: as well. So you know, I think he's going to
- 5:13Speaker 2: start this weekend, and I just it's a question of
- 5:17Speaker 2: with Havez. Yes, you can probably go for somebody even
- 5:19Speaker 2: more informed than him, because he's had a bit of
- 5:21Speaker 2: a dip like the whole Arsenal team. But I think
- 5:23Speaker 2: this is a team capable now with all the Guard
- 5:25Speaker 2: back in the team to create so many chances for
- 5:28Speaker 2: everyone Rosa or Martinelli, Sucker obviously, or the guard himself.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Even your deeper midfielders and then Haards will have chances.
- 5:35Speaker 2: So it's not always the most clinical.
- 5:37Speaker 3: We know that.
- 5:38Speaker 2: I still think even if he's expensive too, I think
- 5:41Speaker 2: he's still a great asset to have, especially if like me,
- 5:44Speaker 2: you don't have SOCCA or or the Guard and don't
- 5:46Speaker 2: really have the money to invest into Socca.
- 5:48Speaker 1: You're not going to be able to get to soccer either,
- 5:49Speaker 1: are you.
- 5:50Speaker 2: So for me, have it a bit like Jackson and Palmer.
- 5:53Speaker 2: Haveards make sense as a Nasenal attacker, as the non
- 5:58Speaker 2: soccer Arsenal attacker.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Okay, let's check in on our Mini League then, and
- 6:02Speaker 1: remind you codys Q seven YCO the letter zero the number.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Looking at how you guys are doing in that league.
- 6:09Speaker 1: James White is at the summit seventy five points for him,
- 6:12Speaker 1: well done. Captained. Moe Salah transferred in Chuelle Pedro for
- 6:15Speaker 1: Dominic Calvert Lewin. What a transfer that is. He's now
- 6:19Speaker 1: thirteenth in the world. The reason I'm saying that that's
- 6:21Speaker 1: probably the transfer, the final transfer for the game week,
- 6:24Speaker 1: I'm going to make it made two already. James, though,
- 6:27Speaker 1: has used all four of his currently available chips, but
- 6:30Speaker 1: it seems to have worked for him. Now. Last week's
- 6:32Speaker 1: leader at Godfrey, he's now second. He also Captain Saler,
- 6:35Speaker 1: but he rolled his transfer this week. He got sixty
- 6:37Speaker 1: nine points that makes him just behind James. He's two
- 6:40Speaker 1: places behind in fact fifteenth overall. He does, however, have
- 6:44Speaker 1: all four original chips available, so that includes wildcard as well.
- 6:48Speaker 1: We also wanted to give a shout out to Charlie
- 6:49Speaker 1: Shepard and Alex Lindham, who both played the triple captain
- 6:52Speaker 1: chip this week on Mo Salah.
- 6:55Speaker 4: They got eighty.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Nine and ninety six points respectively. Charlie went from ninth
- 7:01Speaker 1: in the league. Fourth Alex went from twenty fifth all
- 7:03Speaker 1: the way up to fifth. Just to just show how
- 7:06Speaker 1: useful those chips are. Okay, it feels like every week
- 7:09Speaker 1: at the moment, on either the pod or the show,
- 7:12Speaker 1: I'm talking about one man, not Juliana on Arling.
- 7:15Speaker 3: Harland quite similar in terms of.
- 7:18Speaker 1: I've sold him. Guys, I've gone you have Yeah, well,
- 7:22Speaker 1: well you've done it. I did it on Saturday night.
- 7:25Speaker 4: Okay, I've a few drinks no no, no to get Salah.
- 7:30Speaker 1: Yes, it was a transfer I should have done last week.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Do you remember I sat here a week ago Sam
- 7:34Speaker 1: and said, yeah, I'm going to do so Meno, I'm
- 7:36Speaker 1: thinking of doing so Meno and Harland, Salah and Esak
- 7:40Speaker 1: and I didn't do it. Yeah, that was really brave
- 7:43Speaker 1: to do that before Salah Andy Saka played and Champions
- 7:47Speaker 1: leaguequipble as well. But do you know what I also thought,
- 7:50Speaker 1: I agree. So that's why I had three transfers. I
- 7:51Speaker 1: used two of them and I kept one just in
- 7:53Speaker 1: case something went really wrong, which is annoying because I've
- 7:56Speaker 1: missed the other transfers. I said it's going to be
- 7:58Speaker 1: Carvert Lewin to Schwel Pedro and it's annoying because ral
- 8:01Speaker 1: Pedro rose and Dominic Covertleu and fell. But I was like,
- 8:04Speaker 1: I can't go to gung Hoo here and completely end
- 8:07Speaker 1: up having to take points. It's to replace them. See,
- 8:09Speaker 1: I watched Esach and so none of those players had played,
- 8:11Speaker 1: so I had to watch Sala on Sunday, Esac on Monday.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Salah last night. I see, I don't want to speak
- 8:17Speaker 1: too soon because probably a couple of training sessions to go.
- 8:19Speaker 1: I seem to have survived it. But I had such
- 8:23Speaker 1: a The three pms went so well for me. I
- 8:26Speaker 1: was really pleased. I was on a really big green arras.
- 8:28Speaker 1: So all of my players played on Saturday night. I
- 8:30Speaker 1: had sixty four points by Saturday evening. I was really happy,
- 8:33Speaker 1: but I was just so annoyed with Earling Harland. I
- 8:35Speaker 1: wasn't able to watch all of that late game. I
- 8:37Speaker 1: was listening to bits on the radio. I was traveling
- 8:39Speaker 1: back from Manchester, but I was getting updates from my friend.
- 8:42Speaker 1: I mentioned on this pod quite a lot and he
- 8:44Speaker 1: just said, we have to sell, we have to and
- 8:46Speaker 1: I was like, I knew that anyway, And I was
- 8:48Speaker 1: annoyed that I wasn't bold enough to go with that
- 8:50Speaker 1: trip those transfers before because I had semn You just
- 8:52Speaker 1: got a point last week as well. Semenya also is
- 8:54Speaker 1: now banned, so that also just I just thought, do
- 8:57Speaker 1: you know what, I haven't been bold enough this season.
- 8:59Speaker 1: While I feel like maybe I'm going to gain some
- 9:00Speaker 1: up with momentum, I'm going to really push forward and
- 9:03Speaker 1: try and do it. So I did those transfers. Anyway,
- 9:06Speaker 1: That's where I am, and I think a lot of managers.
- 9:08Speaker 1: I think a lot of managers will be in a
- 9:09Speaker 1: similar position. His sales are only going to increase. In fact,
- 9:13Speaker 1: his ownership is now just fifty six point one percent.
- 9:16Speaker 1: Don't get me wrong that it's still absolutely huge, but
- 9:19Speaker 1: it's not as absolutely huge as we've seen in the past.
- 9:21Speaker 1: He's still the most owned player in the game. Salot
- 9:24Speaker 1: is owned by fifty five point two percent with manager
- 9:27Speaker 1: of Managers with fifty four point seven percent with Palmer.
- 9:30Speaker 1: Since Monday, by the way, Harland has dropped another one
- 9:32Speaker 1: point five percent. You both seem shocked at me selling him,
- 9:36Speaker 1: then my first question to you is why are you shocked?
- 9:38Speaker 1: Some I'm shocked that you did it before Salo even played,
- 9:42Speaker 1: I think, so I I was spoiler a layer. I
- 9:45Speaker 1: also made a transfer on Saturday night. I wist out
- 9:49Speaker 1: because of price rises.
- 9:51Speaker 4: That were going to happen, and I wanted to make
- 9:52Speaker 4: sure that I hit them, but it didn't use both
- 9:55Speaker 4: my transfers for the same reason, so I let one
- 9:59Speaker 4: go that I knew was going to rising price and
- 10:00Speaker 4: might mean the longer term, I can't afford them because
- 10:04Speaker 4: it was for an Arsenal player, and I didn't want
- 10:06Speaker 4: to do it ahead of the Champions League, so I
- 10:08Speaker 4: kind of waited on that one. But I guess for me,
- 10:10Speaker 4: I'm just the surprise came not that you'd sold Harlan,
- 10:13Speaker 4: because I think I still think that that's the right
- 10:15Speaker 4: thing at the moment, but more that you did it
- 10:17Speaker 4: for salary. I quit neither of them had played yet
- 10:20Speaker 4: in the game week, because that's a massive risk to
- 10:22Speaker 4: do that ahead of ahead of the games, because if
- 10:25Speaker 4: one of them gets injured, then it.
- 10:27Speaker 1: Doesn't matter, guys, because they're fine. Like I said, two
- 10:30Speaker 1: more training sessions to go. No my luck. I did
- 10:32Speaker 1: say that to my friend. I said, no, my luck,
- 10:34Speaker 1: one of them is going to do an atl now
- 10:36Speaker 1: across the next week because that's the way the season
- 10:37Speaker 1: has been gone. Jewels, are you still are you still
- 10:41Speaker 1: sticking with you?
- 10:42Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 10:43Speaker 2: And I really admire your bravery and others who've sold Harland.
- 10:47Speaker 2: I just I just can't and I think if I
- 10:49Speaker 2: look at Okay, the performances haven't been great collectively from
- 10:53Speaker 2: City and from him individually. He scored two in the
- 10:56Speaker 2: last four Promier League matches, so that's not too bad,
- 10:59Speaker 2: but for him that's not really the standing. And also
- 11:01Speaker 2: he's missed a few chances. But as we always say,
- 11:04Speaker 2: if you look a little bit deeper into the data
- 11:09Speaker 2: and the starts his expected goals, that's just so good.
- 11:13Speaker 3: You know, against Spurs it was zero point eight two,
- 11:17Speaker 3: which is still in law.
- 11:18Speaker 2: He could easily have scored two goals in that against
- 11:20Speaker 2: Brighton one point three eight, against Bournemouth zero point eight eight,
- 11:24Speaker 2: and if you look at the XG on target it's
- 11:27Speaker 2: one four four against Bournemouth and then against So sometimes
- 11:30Speaker 2: let's not.
- 11:31Speaker 3: Even go there, because there was two point.
- 11:34Speaker 2: Three three anyway, So if I would be more worried
- 11:38Speaker 2: if there was just nothing, XD was really low. There
- 11:41Speaker 2: was no chances created for him, or he was not
- 11:44Speaker 2: in the right positions which he is. He scored two
- 11:47Speaker 2: in the Champions League on to the night, albeit in
- 11:49Speaker 2: a disastrous night for City, but still so I just
- 11:53Speaker 2: think that at.
- 11:54Speaker 3: Some point they're going to get better.
- 11:55Speaker 2: I wouldn't be surprised if it was on Sunday against Liverpool,
- 11:58Speaker 2: for example. Certainly offensively offensively, I think they will concede
- 12:01Speaker 2: goals because they're all over the place and they seem
- 12:04Speaker 2: to think like Vardu or more about scoring goals than
- 12:06Speaker 2: actually not conceding any, which is a worry. But with
- 12:09Speaker 2: the board going forward, I still think that he's going
- 12:12Speaker 2: to score those. And he's still the forward with the
- 12:14Speaker 2: most points in the game this season. So I don't
- 12:18Speaker 2: see why, even for budget reason, why I would sell him.
- 12:21Speaker 1: I can kind of understand.
- 12:22Speaker 3: For me.
- 12:23Speaker 1: I looked at it and thought, I've got soccer. I
- 12:25Speaker 1: can't sell soccer. I need to have my Sala. It
- 12:28Speaker 1: just feels like he's a need at the moment because
- 12:31Speaker 1: I was my rankord soared on Saturday night. Don't get
- 12:33Speaker 1: me wrong, he needed to saw it just sawed to
- 12:35Speaker 1: a slightly more respectable level. But they're not having Sala
- 12:38Speaker 1: put me back so far, and I don't know. It
- 12:41Speaker 1: just felt particularly given that performance. Don't get me wrong,
- 12:43Speaker 1: halftime on Tuesday night, I was thinking, oh, no, City
- 12:46Speaker 1: are back, Harlan's going to be back. He's scored, He's
- 12:49Speaker 1: on the school sheet again. But actually City here an
- 12:52Speaker 1: interesting team at the moment, aren't they? Sam, It's it's
- 12:56Speaker 1: just not working. I mean I'm not the first and
- 12:58Speaker 1: I'm definitely not going to be the last person to
- 12:59Speaker 1: say that this week. But how does that play into
- 13:01Speaker 1: your thinking when it comes to FPL.
- 13:02Speaker 4: I think it has to. I think you have to
- 13:04Speaker 4: look at the player form, but the team form as
- 13:06Speaker 4: well as well.
- 13:07Speaker 1: As the fixtures.
- 13:08Speaker 4: I think I think with Harlan at the moment, I
- 13:10Speaker 4: mean Jews is right, like when you look at the
- 13:11Speaker 4: underlying stats from game weeks one to five and then
- 13:14Speaker 4: from six to twelve, his XG, his XA, his XGI,
- 13:17Speaker 4: his touches, his penalty area, touches, his goal attempts, everything's
- 13:21Speaker 4: up in the last since game week six, which when
- 13:24Speaker 4: you think about the level of points returns that he's
- 13:26Speaker 4: had in that time, doesn't the stats on what we're
- 13:30Speaker 4: seeing in terms of returns in FPL. So it's a
- 13:34Speaker 4: tough one I think for me right now though, there's well,
- 13:39Speaker 4: there's two things that play into it. First thing is
- 13:41Speaker 4: that I can have Salar instead, and he's playing really
- 13:44Speaker 4: well and in a Liverpool team that's playing really well,
- 13:46Speaker 4: so that's playing into my thinking. But also it's the
- 13:50Speaker 4: fact that there's so many brilliant like roughly six million
- 13:54Speaker 4: ish forwards and like, I get what you just said, Jews,
- 13:58Speaker 4: but I think for budget reasons, it like when you
- 14:01Speaker 4: compare him with say Kunya at the moment or Joe
- 14:03Speaker 4: Pedro at the moment, the savings that you have there
- 14:07Speaker 4: for better returns right now. And I'm not saying that
- 14:10Speaker 4: that's going to last all season. I'm not expecting Kunya
- 14:12Speaker 4: to you know, be the ballond or winner or anything
- 14:14Speaker 4: this season, but with the fixtures of the way that
- 14:17Speaker 4: they are, they should and he should continue to get
- 14:20Speaker 4: good returns over the next few weeks and at his
- 14:22Speaker 4: price point in comparison to Harlan's. And the fact that
- 14:25Speaker 4: if you go for Kunu or jar Pedro or somebody
- 14:28Speaker 4: similar over even if you want to go Esak like
- 14:30Speaker 4: kel over Harlan, you can then have Palmer and Saka
- 14:34Speaker 4: and Salah in the middle. And the ability to have
- 14:37Speaker 4: those three far out weighs what Harland could do, and
- 14:43Speaker 4: I think that for me.
- 14:44Speaker 3: Is yeah, could, because we can wear it.
- 14:48Speaker 4: Should go doors three of them versus one.
- 14:52Speaker 2: I don't know if he should, but in that case
- 14:54Speaker 2: we can also say that Haland could now score two
- 14:56Speaker 2: goals in every single game in the PREMIU until the
- 14:58Speaker 2: end of the season, because you should be he has
- 15:00Speaker 2: the starts for it and he is in the team
- 15:02Speaker 2: for it. I just I just find with the should
- 15:04Speaker 2: and could and it's just to be. So then it's
- 15:07Speaker 2: it's downe to your preferences and maybe okay, fixture list
- 15:10Speaker 2: and form of the moment. But Coo Patmer was not
- 15:13Speaker 2: that great against Leicester for example, certainly not the best
- 15:15Speaker 2: player by fine his team behind Enzo and Nicol Jackson
- 15:19Speaker 2: and others. And yeah, he was unlucky on that good
- 15:21Speaker 2: that you mentioned what should have been a goal really
- 15:23Speaker 2: that Madwik takes away from him. But I watched that
- 15:27Speaker 2: game and I'm thinking, like, I don't have Palm in
- 15:29Speaker 2: my team, and really on that on that game itself,
- 15:33Speaker 2: I've got no regrets to all not to have compartment
- 15:35Speaker 2: and okay, this weekend in my score four and I think, okay, yeah,
- 15:37Speaker 2: I should.
- 15:38Speaker 3: Have him and not Harland.
- 15:39Speaker 2: If haland blanks, but then if Helen scores four this
- 15:41Speaker 2: weekend and you don't have him, but you have Parma
- 15:43Speaker 2: who does nothing, then next week we here sitting and
- 15:45Speaker 2: they're saying like, well, you should have had Harland, and
- 15:47Speaker 2: do you see what I mean?
- 15:48Speaker 3: So so it's.
- 15:48Speaker 2: Always should and could and which is which is absolutely fun.
- 15:52Speaker 3: This is part of the fun of the game.
- 15:54Speaker 2: But I just don't again, I don't want to take
- 15:57Speaker 2: the risk of nothing because of all those players, and
- 16:00Speaker 2: certainly on the form of our times this season, and.
- 16:03Speaker 3: They've all been a bit up and down. Let's be honest.
- 16:05Speaker 2: Even Palma is not maybe as consistent as it was
- 16:09Speaker 2: last season, where every week we knew he was going
- 16:11Speaker 2: to do something quite special. Saka as same with Arsenal
- 16:15Speaker 2: had a bit of a deep as well too, and
- 16:18Speaker 2: Nice City Stern, but Mosalla might have the next four
- 16:21Speaker 2: games with nothing either, you know. So it's just yeah,
- 16:24Speaker 2: it's just what you feel really is the most important
- 16:27Speaker 2: for your team.
- 16:27Speaker 1: Going back to the kind of should and could debate,
- 16:30Speaker 1: that's kind of what in a different way, those Jews
- 16:32Speaker 1: I we can all say Harland should and could have
- 16:35Speaker 1: had all of those points that he's underlying st created
- 16:39Speaker 1: And I've sat on this show and on the FPL
- 16:41Speaker 1: TV show as well, every week and people have told
- 16:44Speaker 1: me stats like that have made me a new people
- 16:46Speaker 1: like me, and you keep him. It just got to
- 16:48Speaker 1: a point where I just thought, I'm not enjoying owning
- 16:50Speaker 1: him as well. Now it's just a frustration and is
- 16:54Speaker 1: meant to be fun. Don't get me wrong, it will
- 16:56Speaker 1: not be fun when he never gets a hat trick.
- 16:58Speaker 1: Is he's still not having him he's stiland and he's
- 17:01Speaker 1: still And I take all of Jules's points on board,
- 17:04Speaker 1: and if I could, I would keep him. But when
- 17:06Speaker 1: you had a player that on Saturday for me was
- 17:08Speaker 1: fifteen point two million, he was going down to fifteen
- 17:10Speaker 1: point one, then I wouldn't have kept that point one
- 17:13Speaker 1: to for when I sell him, For example, I just thought,
- 17:15Speaker 1: why am I holding him ahead of a fixture with Liverpool.
- 17:18Speaker 1: Don't get me wrong. After Liverpool, it's then Forest Crystal Palace,
- 17:21Speaker 1: Manchester United Villa Everton Lester. There's a couple of fixtures
- 17:24Speaker 1: in there that I will be particularly nervous about. It's
- 17:27Speaker 1: more than a couple, but most salah for me, jeors
- 17:31Speaker 1: if you had to go without one of Salah or
- 17:33Speaker 1: Harland at the moment, who would it be?
- 17:38Speaker 3: No, I mean on the form, yeah, no, no, no, you
- 17:40Speaker 3: don't have to.
- 17:41Speaker 1: You don't have to. So I'm but that's that's kind
- 17:43Speaker 1: of like how I had to look at it in
- 17:44Speaker 1: my team.
- 17:46Speaker 3: You can just have one.
- 17:48Speaker 1: It needs to be Salar. It feels it feels.
- 17:51Speaker 2: Yeah, absolutely, And that's why for me the dilemma is
- 17:54Speaker 2: slightly different because I decided to go with both Salah
- 17:58Speaker 2: and Highland, when when some as she rightly said, and
- 18:02Speaker 2: this is completely respectable too, to go for Saka Palma
- 18:05Speaker 2: and Salah and no have Harland. And this is your
- 18:08Speaker 2: main front, your main three really, instead of your main
- 18:12Speaker 2: two if you go with halland and Salah for example.
- 18:14Speaker 2: But again it's just the way I see it though,
- 18:18Speaker 2: and I understand the budget reason, and I think the
- 18:20Speaker 2: reason why I think a lot of people are selling
- 18:22Speaker 2: Helean is for that. So you go down to Kunya,
- 18:24Speaker 2: but that means you can reinvest a lot of that money,
- 18:26Speaker 2: although make sure that you still have enough in the
- 18:28Speaker 2: bank or a way to get back to earling halland
- 18:30Speaker 2: because the day, yeah, things are going to get better
- 18:32Speaker 2: for city probably after the Liverpool game, maybe when the
- 18:36Speaker 2: fixtures are much better, and then I think a lot
- 18:39Speaker 2: of people would want to get back made or might
- 18:41Speaker 2: want to give him back into the team. But if
- 18:44Speaker 2: you tell me between Joe Pedro, Kunia and halland for example,
- 18:47Speaker 2: still who is the most likely to score more goals,
- 18:49Speaker 2: and I know budget obviously comes into the consideration, I
- 18:53Speaker 2: would always back halland more than Kunya. For Cunya to
- 18:57Speaker 2: keep playing at this level, or for Joe Pedro to
- 18:59Speaker 2: keep playing at the level that we saw in the
- 19:00Speaker 2: two games.
- 19:02Speaker 3: It's just as simple as that.
- 19:03Speaker 2: And I just think, again, it's too much of a
- 19:05Speaker 2: risk not to have Highlands producer.
- 19:07Speaker 1: Jess is going to be playing this back to us
- 19:09Speaker 1: next week, Jewels his words of wisdom when Harlan no, no,
- 19:13Speaker 1: but it's but it's a bit ultimately fpl So much
- 19:16Speaker 1: of it is just using the evidence we have and
- 19:18Speaker 1: then having to guess what a player is going to
- 19:20Speaker 1: do at the weekend. None of us know. And I
- 19:21Speaker 1: think it's really interesting that for so long we've all
- 19:24Speaker 1: sat on different players, me without most Salah just having
- 19:27Speaker 1: Harland Sam Sam just having Salah and vice versa. This
- 19:30Speaker 1: is what's made the game so good. We said it's
- 19:32Speaker 1: so many times this year, the fact that we're all
- 19:33Speaker 1: in slightly different situations. But also what makes FPL good
- 19:37Speaker 1: is knowing when to jump on and off players and
- 19:38Speaker 1: jewels like you. I watched that early kickoff on Saturday
- 19:42Speaker 1: and I thought to myself, Gosh and I we can
- 19:45Speaker 1: joke all you like about my history with Cole Palmer,
- 19:46Speaker 1: and that's part of the reason I won't sell him.
- 19:48Speaker 1: But if I didn't have Cole Palmer, my transfer on
- 19:51Speaker 1: Saturday night would have been Harland to Jackson, and I
- 19:53Speaker 1: probably would have liked that more than Harlan to Easak,
- 19:56Speaker 1: to be honest, and then I would have had more
- 19:58Speaker 1: money and maybe, in fact, I wouldn't have need to
- 20:00Speaker 1: sell Harlem because I've got so much money in Cole Palmer.
- 20:02Speaker 1: So maybe you're right at the moment, maybe Cole Palmer
- 20:04Speaker 1: isn't one of the best expensive players. But the beauty
- 20:08Speaker 1: of the game, Salm is that it can change game
- 20:10Speaker 1: week to game week. For me, at the moment, it
- 20:11Speaker 1: just feels like Salah is the most consistent.
- 20:13Speaker 4: I agree with everything you've just said, and I think
- 20:15Speaker 4: for me, it's never about is this player worth owning
- 20:18Speaker 4: because in isolation, they're all worth Carlin. You know, if
- 20:24Speaker 4: you look at it purely in isolation, then you would
- 20:27Speaker 4: absolutely want to keep Harlem because he will undoubtedly be
- 20:31Speaker 4: one of the top goal scorers in the league this season.
- 20:33Speaker 4: I have no doubt about that. But it's not just
- 20:36Speaker 4: each player in isolation. It's each player in comparison to
- 20:40Speaker 4: the rest of the team that you can build around
- 20:42Speaker 4: having that player. So if you have Harlan and Sala,
- 20:45Speaker 4: like Jews does, then you have some sacrifices there, so
- 20:49Speaker 4: likely like Jewels no soccer or no Palma, or maybe
- 20:53Speaker 4: both neither of them. Maybe there's only one Arsenal defender
- 20:57Speaker 4: rather than two. There's all of those conversations. Whereas if
- 21:01Speaker 4: you don't have Harlan and just have Salah, or don't
- 21:05Speaker 4: have Salah and just have Harlan, the team that you
- 21:07Speaker 4: can build potentially looks better because you can fit in
- 21:10Speaker 4: all these extra players. So you can join my club
- 21:14Speaker 4: of like finding it absolutely horrendous.
- 21:17Speaker 1: Oh, don't get me wrong, no offense, but I do
- 21:19Speaker 1: not want to be in that club. But you're welcome
- 21:22Speaker 1: to join me.
- 21:22Speaker 4: Hide and behind the sofa. Every time Man City play,
- 21:25Speaker 4: I must admit that Saturday evening was probably the best
- 21:29Speaker 4: night of my life because not only did Harlan not
- 21:32Speaker 4: do anything to hurt me in FBL, but Spurs were
- 21:34Speaker 4: going on a riot and I was so happy. I
- 21:36Speaker 4: can't say happy I was, But there are other weeks
- 21:41Speaker 4: where I'm watching, Like the first week I sold him.
- 21:43Speaker 4: It was the Briting game, and obviously he scored quite
- 21:45Speaker 4: early on in that game, and I was like, oh,
- 21:48Speaker 4: this is awful, and I just was like, we were
- 21:50Speaker 4: thankfully out so I didn't have to watch it. And
- 21:53Speaker 4: by the end of the game, I was just like,
- 21:54Speaker 4: let's just I'm not going to turn my phone off
- 21:56Speaker 4: and I'm not going to look at it until the
- 21:57Speaker 4: end and then I'll see how much damage is done.
- 21:59Speaker 4: And in the end, it was just the one goal
- 22:00Speaker 4: and it was okay. But it does feel constantly like
- 22:04Speaker 4: that kind of worry is always there. But then that
- 22:07Speaker 4: worry was there when I didn't have Salah, and that
- 22:09Speaker 4: worry is there one I don't have soccer, and it's
- 22:11Speaker 4: there one I don't have Palmit. So it's the same
- 22:14Speaker 4: for all of these players. You just have to make
- 22:16Speaker 4: some tough choices. And this is why this year's game
- 22:19Speaker 4: is so good because you have to make those choices.
- 22:22Speaker 1: Yeah, I also quite like I said before, that we're
- 22:24Speaker 1: all in slightly different situations, although some you and I
- 22:26Speaker 1: in slightly more similar situations. Though what you who are
- 22:29Speaker 1: your three four is now?
- 22:30Speaker 4: Well, my forward line is a bit random because because
- 22:34Speaker 4: obviously I made some interesting choices going into my wild card.
- 22:38Speaker 4: So I've still got Selanky, I've got Chris Wood at
- 22:41Speaker 4: the moment, who's getting one more week because of Goid
- 22:43Speaker 4: switched this time around, and then I made a transfer,
- 22:45Speaker 4: as I said on Saturday evening, So I did Strand
- 22:48Speaker 4: Laarston to jal Pedro on Saturday evening. So at the
- 22:51Speaker 4: moment they're my funt three. But within the next week
- 22:55Speaker 4: or two, the plan is for Chris Wood to be Kunya.
- 22:59Speaker 1: Right, okay, yeah, Minor now Kunya Dominic Cavallewin, who's going
- 23:03Speaker 1: to become Fra Pedro.
- 23:05Speaker 3: Sorry, you have to keep it.
- 23:08Speaker 2: I don't to be honest, world, I think no, he's
- 23:10Speaker 2: on by zero points.
- 23:13Speaker 1: I've lost a lot of money, and him his prices
- 23:15Speaker 1: fallen and fallen and falling. Everyone else everyone's smart anyway,
- 23:21Speaker 1: he is if you're him now guys, get him and.
- 23:24Speaker 4: You can buy Dominic Caro's bad.
- 23:27Speaker 3: We're joking.
- 23:29Speaker 1: No, no, no, no. The thing. The thing is, I still
- 23:31Speaker 1: stand by all the reasons I brought him, and it
- 23:32Speaker 1: just hasn't worked out, and he could have had more
- 23:34Speaker 1: goals in that period. But as he said, Sam, there
- 23:36Speaker 1: are forwards performing best than him in the game right now.
- 23:38Speaker 1: So I think his prices might be five point six now,
- 23:41Speaker 1: which is really done wonders from my team value, and
- 23:43Speaker 1: I think I bought him at six. But yeah, Minor Cunya,
- 23:47Speaker 1: who wasn't really pleased to have had for a couple
- 23:48Speaker 1: of weeks now again Sam, we sat her a couple
- 23:51Speaker 1: of weeks ago. Didn't When we talked about whether Strand
- 23:52Speaker 1: Larson or Kun, you was, could you get away with
- 23:56Speaker 1: having Strand last? And I thought you could. Turns out
- 23:58Speaker 1: you can't really can. It does just provide the assists
- 24:01Speaker 1: and the spectacular and he's just an incredible form. So
- 24:04Speaker 1: I've got Cunya, Sak and Dominic Cavalo and he'll become
- 24:08Speaker 1: Pedro I kind of already. I don't know if I'm
- 24:10Speaker 1: that happy with the Sak, but he's there. We're going
- 24:13Speaker 1: to roll with him.
- 24:14Speaker 4: Because there's always she can go and yeah, and because
- 24:18Speaker 4: of his price point, you can easily come down to
- 24:20Speaker 4: well pretty much anyone else. It's only really Watkins that
- 24:23Speaker 4: you would maybe struggle to get up to, and for
- 24:25Speaker 4: budget reasons, everyone else you could afford to go to
- 24:27Speaker 4: from him.
- 24:28Speaker 3: Should have scored on Monday night. He was. He was
- 24:31Speaker 3: lucky to score. He had enough.
- 24:33Speaker 1: I kind of it was funny because I brought them
- 24:35Speaker 1: into my team on Saturday night and was kind of
- 24:37Speaker 1: cheering him on on Monday, knowing that I don't know.
- 24:40Speaker 1: I thought, maybe I'll get maybe I'll get that terrible season.
- 24:47Speaker 4: That's not how it works.
- 24:48Speaker 1: But also wanted him to play well so that his
- 24:50Speaker 1: price grow so that I can kind of increase my team.
- 24:52Speaker 4: But I wanted to get the team value back up again.
- 24:55Speaker 1: It was awful.
- 25:00Speaker 3: Transfer on the Saturday morning.
- 25:02Speaker 1: Well, she'll be back next week, but for this week,
- 25:05Speaker 1: we've we've had a sick bug in our house. I
- 25:07Speaker 1: haven't left the house this week, so it's probably for
- 25:09Speaker 1: the best that I met my transfers early so I
- 25:11Speaker 1: couldn't sit and ponder over them. But I've used it
- 25:13Speaker 1: to kind of really refocus and I'm going to tell
- 25:15Speaker 1: my season around, guys. Just you wait famously again, Jesse,
- 25:18Speaker 1: You'll be kipping that up when I'm bottomed by about
- 25:20Speaker 1: a hundred points.
- 25:21Speaker 3: Okay, I mean you already bought them me. I just
- 25:23Speaker 3: just wanted to put.
- 25:24Speaker 1: Out but I wasn't overnight the other night. I wasn't.
- 25:26Speaker 3: Yeah, but you are now, jee Do.
- 25:28Speaker 1: You always do this ahead of me?
- 25:32Speaker 3: There's four points once four, it's four more than zero.
- 25:38Speaker 3: You know what sounded like? You know you were Jews.
- 25:45Speaker 1: I had a good week for once, all right, glorious.
- 25:49Speaker 3: I was on Saturday night. You was so happy what
- 25:53Speaker 3: she's strictly come dancing? And I just love that. I
- 25:56Speaker 3: love that.
- 25:57Speaker 1: I was on a train back from Glenn Murray, who
- 25:59Speaker 1: was also talking about his transfers a few weeks ago
- 26:02Speaker 1: as well. If anyone's interested, Okay, moving on from this
- 26:06Speaker 1: is just all going to get played back to me.
- 26:08Speaker 1: When my season doesn't pick up and I've finished.
- 26:10Speaker 4: It will be.
- 26:12Speaker 3: I hope so.
- 26:14Speaker 1: And it would be a perfect time in the season
- 26:16Speaker 1: for it to pick up, because we're about to hit
- 26:18Speaker 1: the festive fixture fun schedule as I like to call it.
- 26:22Speaker 1: There are ninety Premier League fixtures, guys, in the next
- 26:25Speaker 1: forty five days. That doesn't mean there's one every other
- 26:27Speaker 1: day of course, because a lot of them on the
- 26:29Speaker 1: same day. It just means there is a lot of football.
- 26:31Speaker 1: There is a lot for us to consider in fo
- 26:33Speaker 1: There's also going to be a lot of FBL pod
- 26:34Speaker 1: because I feel my diary is filled up with the
- 26:36Speaker 1: head of all of these midweek deadlines as well, including
- 26:39Speaker 1: a lovely Monday seven am one cheers guys for that anyway,
- 26:42Speaker 1: that'll be next week by the way, if you do
- 26:43Speaker 1: want to listen, there'll be a pod in your feed
- 26:45Speaker 1: Monday lunchtime. Anyway. This Jewels is where the FPL talent,
- 26:49Speaker 1: planning and vision is really going to show, isn't it.
- 26:52Speaker 2: Yeah, absolutely make sure that own. Yeah, everybody has talent,
- 26:57Speaker 2: we know that. But what you can have is planning,
- 26:59Speaker 2: that's for sure. Vision atibatable. Yeah, vision you can see,
- 27:03Speaker 2: but do you really see talent some of you listeners
- 27:07Speaker 2: and watchers that just last course.
- 27:09Speaker 3: But you can plan. So let's plan. Do your little
- 27:14Speaker 3: spreadsheets that we said, like.
- 27:16Speaker 2: You know those documents with the games, Yeah, some played
- 27:20Speaker 2: in Europe obviously and even that we so with Spurs
- 27:23Speaker 2: and Chelsea, there's a lot of rotation there, So it
- 27:26Speaker 2: doesn't mean that because eighteen players in Europe, you have
- 27:30Speaker 2: to worry too much about the rotation that could happen
- 27:32Speaker 2: in the Premier League prior to that game or after
- 27:34Speaker 2: that game either, because as we know Chelsea have a
- 27:37Speaker 2: beat team for the Conference League, Spurs usually changed quite
- 27:41Speaker 2: a lot as well. Okay, maybe not tonight as we
- 27:43Speaker 2: record this, because it's Roma, it's bigg but usually the
- 27:45Speaker 2: teams that they're facing the Europe League for now, you
- 27:48Speaker 2: can do with changing half of your team easily. So yeah,
- 27:53Speaker 2: for the team to I in Europe, you'll have to
- 27:55Speaker 2: be a bit more careful and just check the fitness
- 27:59Speaker 2: of everybody, little niggles and things like that. But but
- 28:02Speaker 2: really it's small when you would come down to all
- 28:05Speaker 2: the games in the Christmas period for the Premier League,
- 28:08Speaker 2: where you would expect managers, especially maybe in top top
- 28:12Speaker 2: teams to do a bit more rotation than usual because
- 28:16Speaker 2: they would play so much game at that time.
- 28:20Speaker 3: So I think that's where you have to be careful.
- 28:22Speaker 1: Yeah, it's quite interesting because we use the word congestion
- 28:25Speaker 1: a lot. I know it's been very topical with Premier
- 28:26Speaker 1: League players at the moment as well. Just to put
- 28:28Speaker 1: it all into contextween now on the fourth of January
- 28:31Speaker 1: eight game weeks for us to navigate. Also, as yours mentioned,
- 28:35Speaker 1: European football is two rounds of that if you include
- 28:38Speaker 1: the round currently in play, plus there's League Cup matches.
- 28:41Speaker 1: So there's going to be nine teams who only only
- 28:44Speaker 1: have eight Premier League fixtures between now and game week twenty.
- 28:47Speaker 1: They are Bournemouth, Brighton, Eviton, Fulham, Ipswich, Leicester, Forest west
- 28:51Speaker 1: Ham and Wolves. Sam's done this matter for us? These
- 28:54Speaker 1: teams will play a game every five point two five days.
- 28:58Speaker 1: I don't really know what that means. I mean they
- 28:59Speaker 1: only get a quarter of a day's rest.
- 29:02Speaker 4: It just means that they get they get the longest
- 29:04Speaker 4: rest period between their matches.
- 29:06Speaker 1: Thank you for translating. There are four teams who have
- 29:08Speaker 1: nine fixtures in this period Brentford, Palace, Newcastle and Southampton.
- 29:12Speaker 1: They will play a game every four point six six
- 29:15Speaker 1: days or so that they get two thirds four and
- 29:18Speaker 1: two thirds of a day. So they're the next the
- 29:20Speaker 1: next least rest is that, right? Sam? Yep? Yep? There
- 29:24Speaker 1: are three teams with ten fixtures Biller, Chelsea and Man City.
- 29:26Speaker 1: They will have a fixture every four point two days. Finally,
- 29:29Speaker 1: there are four teams who have eleven games in this
- 29:31Speaker 1: period Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United and Spurs. These four teams
- 29:35Speaker 1: will play a game every three point eight one days
- 29:37Speaker 1: and yes, you guessed it, they actually officially have the
- 29:41Speaker 1: least rest as a remarkable wasn't less than four days
- 29:43Speaker 1: between every game? Firstly, what does this mean for us
- 29:48Speaker 1: as FPL managers other than the fact Sam, that's going
- 29:51Speaker 1: to be rotation? Isn't that?
- 29:53Speaker 4: I think that's what it means and I don't think so.
- 29:56Speaker 4: Some people will say you shouldn't invest, but in reality,
- 30:00Speaker 4: see if you look at these teams, the ones with
- 30:02Speaker 4: ten fixtures or eleven fixtures, they are the teams that
- 30:04Speaker 4: you'd want to invest in. It's the Cities, the Chelseas,
- 30:07Speaker 4: the Liverpools, the Arsenals, well bracket Spurs in there as well,
- 30:10Speaker 4: just because you know I always want to invest in Spurs.
- 30:13Speaker 4: Those are the teams that you want to invest in,
- 30:15Speaker 4: so and those are the ones that are most likely
- 30:17Speaker 4: to get you FPL points, so you're not going to
- 30:20Speaker 4: not invest in them. But it also does mean I
- 30:22Speaker 4: think for me, the festive period is just about having
- 30:24Speaker 4: the bench working for you. It's about making sure that
- 30:26Speaker 4: as far as you can, the three players that are
- 30:29Speaker 4: on your bench actually play, and if there's rotation, which
- 30:33Speaker 4: there will be over Christmas, that you have a decent
- 30:35Speaker 4: option to come off the bench. And that was part
- 30:37Speaker 4: of the reason why I wild Card did when I did,
- 30:39Speaker 4: because my bench was in absolute disarray and I knew
- 30:41Speaker 4: coming into this period that I could not have non
- 30:44Speaker 4: starting players or players that had been loaned out somewhere
- 30:48Speaker 4: else in Europe sitting on my bench because it only
- 30:52Speaker 4: takes for you know, there to be a nice fixture.
- 30:55Speaker 4: And that's the thing is, you'll look at some of
- 30:56Speaker 4: the fixtures that these teams have over Christmas and maybe go, oh,
- 30:59Speaker 4: that looks like a really nice fixture to attack, and
- 31:01Speaker 4: then players either may get a full rest or more
- 31:04Speaker 4: likely they might come off early if they're winning their game.
- 31:06Speaker 4: So just make sure that your bench can cover any rotation.
- 31:09Speaker 4: I think that's the key thing.
- 31:10Speaker 1: Here, Yeah, which is a large part of the reason
- 31:12Speaker 1: I can't keep having Cavaluin as my first sub. I've
- 31:15Speaker 1: got an Ipswich player on my bench who has come
- 31:17Speaker 1: back from injury now, I think. But it's so important,
- 31:19Speaker 1: isn't it? Jells a Premier League manager, Sorry, are going
- 31:22Speaker 1: to need depth and we probably are as well, aren't we,
- 31:25Speaker 1: And we're going to have to I know we do
- 31:27Speaker 1: it a lot with Manchester City. It feels like trying
- 31:28Speaker 1: to guess who's going to play. Look at the last
- 31:30Speaker 1: fixture in the Champions League for man City for example,
- 31:33Speaker 1: and try and work out is Rico lewis going to
- 31:34Speaker 1: start this weekend for example. This is undrum. I'm going
- 31:37Speaker 1: to have a lot, but it's going to be a
- 31:39Speaker 1: lot of guesswork, but also a lot of educated guesses
- 31:41Speaker 1: as well.
- 31:41Speaker 2: I think yeah, And also I think you have to
- 31:44Speaker 2: pay with more attention of what's happening.
- 31:46Speaker 3: You can't watch every single game all the time. I
- 31:48Speaker 3: get that.
- 31:48Speaker 2: But if somebody comes off after sixty minutes, for example,
- 31:52Speaker 2: let's say an Arsenal player like Ghosts is less likely,
- 31:56Speaker 2: but let's think I have it.
- 31:57Speaker 3: For example, who I own.
- 31:59Speaker 2: If he plays an there, you know that three days
- 32:01Speaker 2: later he would start again.
- 32:03Speaker 3: Because this is part of the plan.
- 32:04Speaker 2: This is all the data that all those managers have
- 32:07Speaker 2: in terms of fitness of their own players and how
- 32:09Speaker 2: much you can give them for that game if you
- 32:11Speaker 2: want him to start three days later in the next
- 32:14Speaker 2: premierlegue game.
- 32:15Speaker 3: It's very important.
- 32:17Speaker 2: And then on the same hand, you also know that
- 32:18Speaker 2: if somebody plays nineteen minutes in a tough game or
- 32:23Speaker 2: with a lot of activity, could be a midfielder something
- 32:26Speaker 2: like that, then you'll have to be a little you
- 32:28Speaker 2: just have to be a bit worried that for the
- 32:30Speaker 2: next game three days later, the guy might be on
- 32:32Speaker 2: the bench for his team.
- 32:33Speaker 3: So this is also part of.
- 32:35Speaker 2: The fund And to be fair, we won't know, and
- 32:39Speaker 2: sometimes even some managers don't know until the morning of
- 32:42Speaker 2: their own game. So it's just not even being like
- 32:45Speaker 2: trying to work it out. It's just that sometimes there
- 32:48Speaker 2: are things that nobody can control, not even promitic managers.
- 32:51Speaker 1: It's also important, isn't it. Plan it transfers wisely. And
- 32:56Speaker 1: also deadlines. I mean, I've said it on this podcast
- 32:59Speaker 1: for Alarm Setter to remind myself of deadlines just in
- 33:02Speaker 1: case I do forget. But we're at that time of
- 33:04Speaker 1: year where you can laugh all you like, because let's
- 33:08Speaker 1: be honest, we all get pretty distracted. It's a different one.
- 33:12Speaker 1: I've changed it now. It used to be the same
- 33:14Speaker 1: one that woke me in the morning. But I realized
- 33:15Speaker 1: that was a bit traumatized because I associated with that
- 33:18Speaker 1: horrible feeling of when you're woken up in the morning.
- 33:21Speaker 1: So it's just it's just an inane now, there is nothing,
- 33:24Speaker 1: nothing very.
- 33:25Speaker 3: I was just wondering if you had something special.
- 33:27Speaker 1: It doesn't go talent planning vision, I don't.
- 33:32Speaker 3: Jingle yeah, please do that.
- 33:35Speaker 4: And then every time there's a deadline, it would just
- 33:37Speaker 4: be you shouting at be hilarious, not.
- 33:39Speaker 1: What any coming from my phone, thank you very much.
- 33:42Speaker 1: But on a serious note, it is things like that,
- 33:44Speaker 1: like it's just going to come so thick and fast,
- 33:46Speaker 1: isn't it.
- 33:47Speaker 4: Yeah, you've got to watch out for those deadlines and
- 33:49Speaker 4: like we've got Friday ones, we've got Tuesday ones, we've
- 33:52Speaker 4: got random days of the week. Those are the deadlines
- 33:55Speaker 4: that will catch out a lot of the managers who
- 33:57Speaker 4: aren't really on it. So make sure that you're one
- 34:00Speaker 4: of those managers that gets left behind because they've forgotten that.
- 34:04Speaker 4: As far as you can listen carefully to the press conferences,
- 34:07Speaker 4: because if the managers give us some insight, that's going
- 34:09Speaker 4: to be really super helpful. At this point in the season,
- 34:13Speaker 4: as many talisman as possible in your team because they're
- 34:15Speaker 4: the ones that are less likely. Doesn't mean they're not
- 34:18Speaker 4: going to be rotated, but they're less likely to be
- 34:20Speaker 4: so I think it's just planning as much as you can.
- 34:23Speaker 4: If you can keep transfers, keep them because I think
- 34:27Speaker 4: you might get some insight, particularly in those midweek matches
- 34:30Speaker 4: when you've got lots of games all kicking off at
- 34:32Speaker 4: the same time. It's always handy to just have those
- 34:35Speaker 4: transfers so that you can react to any press conference
- 34:38Speaker 4: news that the managers come up with and try not
- 34:41Speaker 4: to waste the transfers. And that's why I did not
- 34:44Speaker 4: enjoy making a transfer on Saturday night. I hate that.
- 34:47Speaker 4: I hate reacting before the game week's ended, particularly as
- 34:50Speaker 4: I knew that I had so many of my players
- 34:52Speaker 4: playing in midweek. It was just like, if one of
- 34:55Speaker 4: them goes and gets injured, and I'm still not out
- 34:57Speaker 4: of the woods with that yet because obviously we've still
- 34:58Speaker 4: got United and Spurs. I don't have any Chelsea players
- 35:03Speaker 4: that are playing in Europe because I have Parma and
- 35:05Speaker 4: he doesn't play, so but my man uniting and Spurs
- 35:08Speaker 4: assets will play tonight and that's a risk, so just
- 35:12Speaker 4: be aware of it, and try not to do what
- 35:13Speaker 4: Kelly and I have done. Try and be patient with
- 35:15Speaker 4: those transfers and make them towards the deadline.
- 35:18Speaker 1: Don't tell me for ages. I've been told that I
- 35:20Speaker 1: make transfers too late. Now you're trying to telling me
- 35:22Speaker 1: that I'm making But Kelly, I think we're here.
- 35:24Speaker 4: But it was risky, and I also think that you're like, actually,
- 35:27Speaker 4: your strategy, your usual strategy during the festive period, the
- 35:32Speaker 4: right one, because the deadlines are quick, they're thick and.
- 35:35Speaker 1: Fast, and well, you can't we won't have I wouldn't
- 35:38Speaker 1: have the luxury, if you like, of making a transfer
- 35:40Speaker 1: six days before the next deadline. Those deadlines are not
- 35:43Speaker 1: going to exist.
- 35:44Speaker 4: Are like the gaps. Yeah, yeah, because you know we've
- 35:46Speaker 4: got obviously Friday and then again on Tuesday, so you're
- 35:49Speaker 4: going to have to.
- 35:51Speaker 1: I enjoyed being a forward thinking, clever manager while at
- 35:53Speaker 1: last Week Next Week service eleven am, Yes, we love it. Okay,
- 36:02Speaker 1: then we've actually spoken. Won't surprise any regular listeners to
- 36:05Speaker 1: hear me say this. We've spoken too much at this
- 36:07Speaker 1: point of the pod. Let's try and rattle through. I
- 36:09Speaker 1: reckon that's probably the most used phrase that I saw
- 36:11Speaker 1: on this podcasts let's rattle through.
- 36:14Speaker 4: We never do.
- 36:14Speaker 1: We're useless at rattling. Let's look at the teams that
- 36:17Speaker 1: have the best fixtures then over those periods. We touched
- 36:19Speaker 1: upon this a couple of weeks ago, but obviously as
- 36:21Speaker 1: each week goes on, the ticket changes slightly. So between
- 36:24Speaker 1: now and game week nineteen, Arsenal our top, followed by
- 36:27Speaker 1: Brighton Wolves, Chelsea, Bournemouth, Spurs and Newcastle. Let's start with
- 36:31Speaker 1: Arsenal Jewels. Are they back?
- 36:33Speaker 3: Yeah? I think the bag.
- 36:34Speaker 2: I think that's what Martin other guard's returning those for.
- 36:37Speaker 3: You.
- 36:38Speaker 2: Really you can see just the flow of their game
- 36:41Speaker 2: and what he brings and brings so much. We mentioned
- 36:44Speaker 2: him last week already. If you can't go to Sakai,
- 36:46Speaker 2: if you don't have that budget, then you can have
- 36:48Speaker 2: March another guard as well as a replacement, and that
- 36:51Speaker 2: we do really really nicely.
- 36:53Speaker 3: So double up, triple up, trouble up, even triple trouble.
- 36:57Speaker 2: Whether on Arshal players have a defender, yeah, maybe a
- 37:00Speaker 2: defender and an attacker have right, a defender and maybe
- 37:03Speaker 2: two two going forward if you can't afford for them,
- 37:07Speaker 2: because it looks like they really have them.
- 37:10Speaker 1: Yeah, Sam, we're Soccarnas. I'm not. He's not. I'm not
- 37:13Speaker 1: my Teamcarna. This is bad. Normally have all your teams
- 37:17Speaker 1: up in front me. So I'm the only one with
- 37:18Speaker 1: the talent, planning vision to have soccer in my team
- 37:20Speaker 1: on this pod.
- 37:21Speaker 4: I hate I hate it.
- 37:22Speaker 3: Not having time to get you can't have everyone either.
- 37:25Speaker 3: Come on, like, you know, she doesn't have an Arsenal attack.
- 37:30Speaker 3: But if you don't do it, can't do it for you.
- 37:32Speaker 4: So I've got the money to do that. I've also
- 37:35Speaker 4: got the money to go from soccer to MB so
- 37:38Speaker 4: I sent a butt the way around. Well, so there
- 37:40Speaker 4: were two, so I this is a massive spoiler alert
- 37:43Speaker 4: for the transfer section, so.
- 37:44Speaker 1: I would probably have to rattle through.
- 37:46Speaker 4: That's okay. So I very nearly on Saturday night took
- 37:49Speaker 4: her minus four to do jal Pedro Socca and Gabrielle
- 37:53Speaker 4: in for Bruno, Gvardio and Strand Lawson. So that very
- 38:01Speaker 4: nearly happened, and then I was just like, I don't
- 38:04Speaker 4: think I can go early on Arsenal given the one
- 38:09Speaker 4: they had the Champions League game to play. Two I
- 38:12Speaker 4: hadn't seen Bruno play yet. On Saturday and I was
- 38:16Speaker 4: like sorry on Sunday, and I thought, I don't know
- 38:19Speaker 4: if I want to sell Bruno because I can also
- 38:20Speaker 4: go from Enbomo, whose fixtures changed massively after this week.
- 38:25Speaker 4: So maybe I actually preferred to hold Bruno and have
- 38:27Speaker 4: a midfield that's got Bruno, Socca, Salah and Palma rather
- 38:32Speaker 4: than losing Bruno. So there were so many unknowns that
- 38:36Speaker 4: I basically didn't do it. I am going to bring
- 38:38Speaker 4: in another Arsenal defender this week, I think with my
- 38:42Speaker 4: other transfer, so I'll have Reya and an Arsenal defender.
- 38:46Speaker 4: I'm probably going to go Timber and then Soccer will
- 38:48Speaker 4: come in for game week fourteen.
- 38:50Speaker 1: Okay, but Geors, you just can't. You've got to have
- 38:52Speaker 1: us to cover him off.
- 38:53Speaker 3: That's your person. Yeah, So are.
- 38:55Speaker 1: You're going to stick with so? Yeah? So you're just
- 38:57Speaker 1: going to stick with the too any temptation to travel up?
- 39:00Speaker 2: It would be Ria really in good because my keepers
- 39:04Speaker 2: have been terrible like I've been.
- 39:07Speaker 4: You've got Henderson, right.
- 39:08Speaker 3: Yeah, I've got Henderson, but he's still not good enough
- 39:10Speaker 3: for me. It's just like Samers send me.
- 39:14Speaker 4: Why did you get him? I've been raving about how
- 39:16Speaker 4: bad he's been for me, and then you went there.
- 39:18Speaker 2: Because it was the only one I could really afford
- 39:20Speaker 2: that he was playing, really since my is on the
- 39:23Speaker 2: notice step, you know, and on the bench.
- 39:25Speaker 3: So not that hour, I was much better.
- 39:27Speaker 2: But yeah, I can't go to Riyot, but I think
- 39:29Speaker 2: if I could, I would probably go to Ryat for
- 39:32Speaker 2: my third Arsenal friend was.
- 39:34Speaker 1: Telling me that Gabrielle's knock that forced him off is.
- 39:36Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, okay, but he needs to learn how to
- 39:39Speaker 2: do the your Caress Bain celebration because it was all
- 39:43Speaker 2: a bit like if you don't really know where to
- 39:45Speaker 2: put his hand.
- 39:46Speaker 3: It was all a bit like it was just, yeah,
- 39:50Speaker 3: he should be fine.
- 39:51Speaker 1: Okay, I'm saying that as if you're obviously obviously it's
- 39:56Speaker 1: it's a little bit scary when you have friends an
- 39:58Speaker 1: Arsenal defender, a premium player and they go off with
- 40:01Speaker 1: a knock in the Champions League in midweek. So yeah,
- 40:03Speaker 1: he's currently flagged. So I mean, I'll listen to Michel
- 40:06Speaker 1: Arteta's press conference. But as we see waters about soccer
- 40:11Speaker 1: in the past, he likes to keep us guessing, doesn't he,
- 40:13Speaker 1: And I don't blame him really to be honest, Why
- 40:15Speaker 1: should he give you the opposition team news away? Okay, well
- 40:17Speaker 1: so you or should we be targeting them? So I
- 40:19Speaker 1: know we did go through some of these teams next week,
- 40:21Speaker 1: so I'm kind of gonna let you guys guide where
- 40:23Speaker 1: this discussion goes. Who do you think? So?
- 40:25Speaker 4: I mean, I think, actually, if you look at the
- 40:26Speaker 4: top of the ticker, doubling or preferably treppling up on
- 40:30Speaker 4: Arsenal makes a lot of sense. Brighton are a team
- 40:33Speaker 4: that I would really like to double up on, but
- 40:35Speaker 4: I can't quite work out how because jack Heed Joe
- 40:37Speaker 4: is the obvious one, so cheap put fits perfectly into
- 40:41Speaker 4: that front three. I think the issue with doubling is
- 40:44Speaker 4: who is the other Where would you go? Because Matoma,
- 40:48Speaker 4: I think, feels like the next best option, but he
- 40:51Speaker 4: takes up a midfielder slot. And we've been talking all
- 40:53Speaker 4: this time about how like we've got all these premium
- 40:55Speaker 4: massets in midfield, it's really hard to fit Matoma in there.
- 40:58Speaker 4: I don't think you'd go with defender unless you went
- 41:01Speaker 4: for Van Heck, or maybe you go for the brogun
- 41:03Speaker 4: and goal. Maybe that's the option. It's really tough. Actually,
- 41:08Speaker 4: it's really hard to know how to invest in Brighton,
- 41:12Speaker 4: So I think jud Pego and then one other if
- 41:14Speaker 4: you can fit them in. Double up on Wolves Kunya
- 41:17Speaker 4: eight Norri still feel like a Norri is the right one. Chelsea,
- 41:21Speaker 4: I double up on them as well. Like I know
- 41:23Speaker 4: you were just saying you didn't want to do that, Cols,
- 41:25Speaker 4: but I actually think that you could go Palmer and
- 41:28Speaker 4: Jackson feels like a really nice combo. I also think
- 41:32Speaker 4: like Mallow Gustin missed game week twelve through illness, but
- 41:34Speaker 4: I still really like him as a pick, Like, I
- 41:37Speaker 4: think he could be a really nice option moving forward.
- 41:40Speaker 4: So there'd be the teams that I'd be looking to
- 41:42Speaker 4: have more than one player from I think over the
- 41:44Speaker 4: next few weeks.
- 41:45Speaker 1: George, Liverpool actually quite far down if you take a
- 41:47Speaker 1: look at the ticket, they're all the way down in thirteenth.
- 41:49Speaker 1: But it's because we've said this work before about the ticket.
- 41:52Speaker 1: It's often skewed by certain fixtures at man City this
- 41:54Speaker 1: weekend and then Spurs in seventeen. So is this where
- 41:58Speaker 1: you actually don't pay as much tension to the ticker
- 42:00Speaker 1: as such A Liverpool in such good form Madrid last
- 42:04Speaker 1: night as well, that you just have to double or
- 42:06Speaker 1: triple up on them. Regardless.
- 42:08Speaker 2: They also have Newcastle aware, which I just don't think
- 42:10Speaker 2: especially for.
- 42:11Speaker 3: Big, big teams.
- 42:12Speaker 2: Yes, Arsenal lost over there, City drew over there, so
- 42:17Speaker 2: it's it's not easy that They've got the Derby. Okay,
- 42:19Speaker 2: Everton with your friend Dominica lewin another very good but
- 42:24Speaker 2: but it's still the Derby. And last season they lost
- 42:26Speaker 2: the Everton which crossed them massively in the title title race.
- 42:29Speaker 3: So just the whole like the.
- 42:31Speaker 2: City Newcastle Derby combo presents Spurs not that far after
- 42:36Speaker 2: that either, and the Spurs team that on that they
- 42:39Speaker 2: can beat anyone and get beaten by anyone too, but
- 42:42Speaker 2: still can beat anyone.
- 42:43Speaker 3: It's yeah, I'm sure, so one one is one is
- 42:46Speaker 3: good for Liverpool. You can always have two.
- 42:48Speaker 2: You can have Karanate and Sala van Dyke and Salah still,
- 42:51Speaker 2: of course you can because they are that good and
- 42:54Speaker 2: they can also win all those games without conceding and
- 42:57Speaker 2: scoring two or three in each.
- 42:58Speaker 3: So but yeah, those those those pictures are okay.
- 43:02Speaker 1: Just to quick check in on the suspension tight trope
- 43:04Speaker 1: as we like to call it, as I alluded to
- 43:06Speaker 1: before Semno is suspended, for game week thirteen. He got
- 43:09Speaker 1: his fifth yellow card of the season in game week twelve.
- 43:11Speaker 1: Believe we've got two yellow cards in game week twelve,
- 43:13Speaker 1: so he'll be out. Kudas and Beninker of course, remain suspended.
- 43:17Speaker 1: There's some more popular fel picks as well who are
- 43:19Speaker 1: getting very close. Jules Jackson isn't far away from suspension,
- 43:24Speaker 1: Martinez and for me as well, eight Nori all one
- 43:26Speaker 1: more booking away from suspension. Okay, you know the drill
- 43:29Speaker 1: by Now we have no time left on the pod,
- 43:31Speaker 1: but we have to do the differentials. Off you go,
- 43:33Speaker 1: Jewels and not going to mention last week because you
- 43:35Speaker 1: both failed.
- 43:36Speaker 3: Again mine was mine? Was it?
- 43:38Speaker 1: At least three guys times of yessence?
- 43:47Speaker 3: So I'll go first. Yeah, I mean some mentioned him already.
- 43:49Speaker 2: A little bit in a potential transfer, but I think
- 43:52Speaker 2: Julian Timber that's the one I had and.
- 43:55Speaker 4: I don't have a backup.
- 43:58Speaker 1: You're doing a joint right, Okay? Enjoined differential this week?
- 44:02Speaker 2: Okay the other guard and I was always say, oh
- 44:05Speaker 2: the guy I'm doing that, I'm doing a Sam bondfield
- 44:08Speaker 2: by picking like a superstar player. That just because he
- 44:11Speaker 2: got injured, that just because he was injured before. That's
- 44:14Speaker 2: the only reason why he's loan ownership four point five percent.
- 44:17Speaker 2: It will still go through eight point two millions, so
- 44:20Speaker 2: that's expensive. But he has changed this team so massively.
- 44:24Speaker 3: He's still so so good involved in everything.
- 44:27Speaker 2: You see the wayson play, it's just a lot on
- 44:29Speaker 2: that right hand side because it's him. So the other guy,
- 44:32Speaker 2: especially as a SACA replacement for example, would be perfect some.
- 44:36Speaker 1: Let me guess for yours is do you know?
- 44:39Speaker 4: And I even said last night as I was making
- 44:40Speaker 4: this these notes, I was like, it's just a risk
- 44:42Speaker 4: just doing one and it being an Arsenal player. But anyway, well,
- 44:47Speaker 4: I think he's going to be my transferring this week
- 44:48Speaker 4: as well, so I'm going for Timber five point five.
- 44:51Speaker 4: He's only owned by two percent of the game, had
- 44:53Speaker 4: a goal disallowed against Forresting in twelve that marginal off side,
- 44:56Speaker 4: and then obviously gets the assist in the Champions League
- 45:00Speaker 4: the team with the best clean sheet potential this week,
- 45:02Speaker 4: and I think you know, since returning from injurying game
- 45:06Speaker 4: week nine, he's top of crosses of the Arsenal defenders.
- 45:08Speaker 4: He's also created more chances than all the other Arsenal defenders,
- 45:11Speaker 4: and he's had more attentional goal than all the other
- 45:14Speaker 4: Arsenal defenders, so I think there's potential for returns at
- 45:17Speaker 4: both ends of the pitch with him this week.
- 45:19Speaker 1: Okay, lovely very Arsenal themed differentials this week. Okay captain
- 45:22Speaker 1: and see guys, this is a tough one this week.
- 45:25Speaker 1: I don't know who I'm captaining Jewels definitely won't Sam,
- 45:28Speaker 1: you go first.
- 45:30Speaker 4: It's a straight fifty to fifty for me between Palmer
- 45:32Speaker 4: and Salah. I'm tempted to just stick with Salah, but
- 45:36Speaker 4: I do like the fixture for Palmer more.
- 45:40Speaker 1: I also quite like the fixture of a guy Sokka
- 45:43Speaker 1: as well with him Wes, you know, and I'm just
- 45:45Speaker 1: throwing him in. I know neither of you orkinsit him.
- 45:47Speaker 1: Who are you going with, Jewels?
- 45:49Speaker 2: So I think if you have is the best big
- 45:51Speaker 2: by far, even a way out west. I think Villa
- 45:55Speaker 2: will go to the Bridge and be quite strong defensively
- 45:58Speaker 2: against Chelsea and then the City.
- 46:00Speaker 3: Liverpool can go either way. You just don't know.
- 46:03Speaker 2: So I think I think Salah for me is between
- 46:06Speaker 2: Harland and Salah, like pretty much every week, and I
- 46:09Speaker 2: think Salah at home. You have to beg on him
- 46:12Speaker 2: more than Harland Away.
- 46:13Speaker 1: So if you had soccer, would you go for him? Sam? Yeah, definitely, Okay, Yeah,
- 46:19Speaker 1: I think I will go for Soca this week. And
- 46:20Speaker 1: this is good because all of our teams are different.
- 46:22Speaker 1: We've got a bit of difference on them, and hopefully
- 46:24Speaker 1: I can get those four points, huge four points to
- 46:26Speaker 1: get above Joe's. Sam, I'm got that far ahead, like
- 46:30Speaker 1: fifty points. It's about seven good chip usages away. But
- 46:35Speaker 1: I've used much of a captain, remember, and you have.
- 46:37Speaker 3: That's very true.
- 46:38Speaker 1: Yeah, that's very true. Okay, So transfers you Sam, you've
- 46:41Speaker 1: mentioned yours Joe's if you've done anything. I can't remember
- 46:43Speaker 1: if you've mentioned if.
- 46:44Speaker 2: Lewis harl came in last week, not that I mean
- 46:47Speaker 2: to be fair, he had. I thought he had a
- 46:48Speaker 2: good game on Mondn and could have returned easily and
- 46:51Speaker 2: going forwards. So i' the last week from by as
- 46:57Speaker 2: much as I love him, because it's Lester. After that,
- 47:00Speaker 2: I'll sell him, so I might. I might just keeping
- 47:03Speaker 2: roll on and have three the following week.
- 47:05Speaker 1: So what is nice having three? This is the first
- 47:07Speaker 1: time I've ever had three, and it does just give
- 47:10Speaker 1: you a little bit of freedom. It feels like even
- 47:12Speaker 1: doing those two transfers at the weekend, I could have
- 47:15Speaker 1: done three, but it just gives you that little bit
- 47:17Speaker 1: of ok I can do these early ones, and I've
- 47:19Speaker 1: got like an emergency one, don't. I'd love to hold
- 47:22Speaker 1: one of them, but sorry, Dominic, you've got to become
- 47:24Speaker 1: sure how my boys were Okay, then that's where we
- 47:28Speaker 1: will leave it.
- 47:29Speaker 3: Guys.
- 47:29Speaker 1: Thank you as always. Jewel's got on a five a
- 47:32Speaker 1: M train, the hero that he is this morning, so i'd.
- 47:36Speaker 3: For you guys anyway. So shows have you got?
- 47:41Speaker 2: I've got two more now and then I fly to
- 47:42Speaker 2: side the Arabia. So you know, it's a hell of.
- 47:46Speaker 3: Gosh.
- 47:46Speaker 1: It never stops, does it. And Samuel off out for
- 47:49Speaker 1: your mum's birthdays. Happy birthday to say, mommy Bombfield. But
- 47:52Speaker 1: her surname is not Bonfield.
- 47:53Speaker 4: No she's not. Yeah, we're going on. We're on Christmas
- 47:56Speaker 4: shopping and then we're off to spares for the Roma game.
- 47:58Speaker 4: So I'm very excited about that.
- 48:03Speaker 1: No no, no, I'm meant to rattle through and I've
- 48:06Speaker 1: started with faking insults here.
- 48:07Speaker 4: I'm joking.
- 48:08Speaker 1: Have a great day, do you aways, have a safe flight,
- 48:10Speaker 1: and thank you, as always at home for listening. Reminder,
- 48:12Speaker 1: your deadline is I've got the wrong.
- 48:15Speaker 3: I've just used.
- 48:16Speaker 1: Last week's script. By the way, I was about to
- 48:17Speaker 1: tell your deadline is eleven am on Saturday. Would have
- 48:19Speaker 1: been into so much trouble. I got up last week's
- 48:21Speaker 1: script to check which teams we spoke about most, and
- 48:24Speaker 1: then I have just been reading last week's script.
- 48:26Speaker 4: To be fair, I think I've left last week's outo
- 48:28Speaker 4: in the script. I don't think i'm updated cash.
- 48:30Speaker 1: Yeah you have, actually, but I know that there is
- 48:32Speaker 1: Friday night football. Thankfully there is Friday night football, and
- 48:35Speaker 1: that means a deadline. Is it six o'clock or six thirty?
- 48:37Speaker 1: Always get to be six thirty. It's an eight o'clock kickoff?
- 48:39Speaker 1: Isn't it six thirty? Gosh, it's good job. This is
- 48:41Speaker 1: the end of the podcast, isn't it. There's going to
- 48:43Speaker 1: be off this No I do. I've already said it
- 48:51Speaker 1: once on this podcast. I told you we're recording at
- 48:53Speaker 1: seven am on Monday morning because we're dedicated off the bench.
- 48:55Speaker 1: Guys aren't.
- 48:56Speaker 3: And I'm joking.
- 48:56Speaker 1: It's just because there's another game week to preview. There's
- 48:58Speaker 1: midweek football next week, so we've we'll be back Brighton
- 49:00Speaker 1: early on Monday. Hopefully the guys will have that to
- 49:02Speaker 1: you early afternoon on mondayhead of your Tuesday deadline. But
- 49:06Speaker 1: the first thing to remember is there is a Friday
- 49:08Speaker 1: night deadline six point thirty. The fixture is Brighton versus Southampton,
- 49:11Speaker 1: so enjoy that. There'll be a fancy show coming your
- 49:14Speaker 1: way tomorrow as well. I'll be joined by Harry.
- 49:16Speaker 4: I think it's time to go, guys.
- 49:17Speaker 1: Bye
