- 0:07[SPEAKER_09]: Welcome to the Dog's Podcast with your hosts, Lake Renaker, Justin Charles, and Josh All.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_06]: What's up, Browns fans?
- 0:19[SPEAKER_06]: Welcome back to another episode of the Dogs Podcast presented by Manly Bands.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_06]: Normally, I wear sleeves on the podcast play.
- 0:28[SPEAKER_06]: Until the Browns act like a professional sports franchise, I'm not going to act like a professional podcast or I'm going to no sleeves here.
- 0:35[SPEAKER_03]: So that is an professional podcaster.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_06]: The Ovan.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_06]: He's not professional.
- 0:43[SPEAKER_06]: But I was like last week, I wore an Indian sweater because we clench the playoffs and we got cavs season to look forward to right around the corner.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_06]: So I guess I'm going to bust out the Cavs jersey tonight because the Browns just aren't doing anything we're celebrating at this moment in my life.
- 1:00[SPEAKER_06]: So obviously, another tough loss for the Browns today.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_06]: I feel like we've been saying that a lot for the last long time.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_06]: Basically, what year is it?
- 1:09[SPEAKER_06]: So we've been saying it for it since for 30 years now.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_06]: But this was another one of those games where if you look at the stat sheet.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_06]: If you watch the game, you thought Browns won.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_06]: And then,
- 1:20[SPEAKER_06]: it says we want everywhere except for the the wind loss column there's a big fat L there.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_06]: So we're going to get into why that happened, what went wrong for the Browns?
- 1:28[SPEAKER_06]: Get to your guys' voice mails.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_06]: All that good stuff.

- 1:57[SPEAKER_06]: Kenny Mac was actually at the game with one of our
- 2:00[SPEAKER_06]: Yes, more members today over in London.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_06]: So like this thing is global, man.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_06]: We had our Canadian follower hanging out with our UK follower.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_06]: It's just it was pretty awesome.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_06]: So you get to play fantasy football with us.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_06]: You get to meet all these brown screens from all over the world.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_06]: Just talk to them all the time.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_06]: It's it's a super cool group.
- 2:19[SPEAKER_06]: We got ladies in there.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_06]: Obviously tons of dudes brown fans vets like
- 2:26[SPEAKER_06]: It's just a good time.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_06]: So if that's something you want a good Browns community to be involved in, especially if you're not local to Cleveland, you're somewhere else and you don't have anybody talk Browns with, you know, 24-7.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_06]: The dog pack is where you want to be.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_06]: So that's join the dog's doc nom to become an official dog pack member.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_06]: I feel like I forgot something in the opening, but whatever.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_06]: So here we are.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_06]: Another tough game for the Browns.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_06]: I know
- 2:52[SPEAKER_06]: I have so many thoughts about this game, because it's like it's tough to at least for my perspective.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_06]: If you look at the score, you watch the game, and it's tough to say defense costs us this game.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_06]: They only give up 20 points, they've forced turnovers, and then at the same time, if you would have told me that the Browns were going to have their defense on the field with two minutes left.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_06]: with Carson Wentz, at the 20, wherever it was, with Carson Wentz has to go 80 yards, and they have three backup offensive linemen.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_06]: I would have said, out of Brown's win, that's gonna be a Brown's victory, and then they will let them go right down the field and score touchdown.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_06]: And I was messaging in the discord today, and I'm like, you don't get to call yourself elite.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_06]: You don't get to talk the talk about being best in the world, best,
- 3:47[SPEAKER_06]: like that's that's what you if you're they were truly the elite defense you want that moment you know to go out and prove to everybody you're the number one defense in the league and then you let a backup quarterback with three backup offensive linemen it looks like you weren't even out there
- 4:04[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, they just play right down the field, scored a touchdown to take the lead with 20 seconds to go.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_06]: So like, it's, it's just so hard to, how do you, how are you upset with a defense that only give up 21 points?
- 4:17[SPEAKER_06]: Well, it's because I've watched, I mean, I watched the Steelers defense.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_06]: win games for the Steelers in this exact situation time after time after time after time my entire life it's like they they want that they take it on their like we're that we're this team's elite unit we're gonna win football games for this team put it on us we'll shoulder the load and we're gonna go out there and we're gonna seal victories for the team and it's like our defense
- 4:44[SPEAKER_06]: is a little bit of front runners, where when we're getting the sacks early and we're shutting them down, everything's great.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_06]: But if the offense isn't scoring a ton of points, all of a sudden you see our defense just start to give up if you know, God, you know, somehow our offense does score points.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_06]: How many times we've talked about this year, the offense finally gets a spark and then it's like the very next drive that defense for gets out of play.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_06]: You know, and it's just
- 5:09[SPEAKER_06]: It's so infuriating because you know it to expect out of the Brown's offense.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_06]: The Brown's offense is not good and it's not going to be good for this season.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_06]: So you know as the defense, it's going to be on you to go out there and steal victories.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_06]: So it's just tough.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_06]: It's tough because the defense obviously played great for again 97% of the game.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_02]: Dude, it, uh, in like true Cleveland Browns fashion, just no lead is ever safe, you know?
- 5:39[SPEAKER_02]: And like in the pittier stomach, you will always feel a little bit of sick because you know that there's a chance we can blow it.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_02]: I, the secondary was awful today.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_02]: And I don't want to, like, jab at players or anything like that because I do love this team.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_02]: But, man, Greg Newsom was not good today.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_02]: He was, I lie ability, I mean, Denzel Ward gives up a, you know, pretty much a game ceiling touchdown where I don't know if there's miscommunication in the back again, like it's,
- 6:12[SPEAKER_02]: Back to whoever that garbage defensive coordinator, I came Joe Woods, I gave his name.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_02]: I just, it sucks.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_02]: It just sucks.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_02]: And you watch the game in for two hours and 45 minutes, you're like, man.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_02]: I'm having a good time and then you're your sick at the end.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_02]: I told Josh before you got on man.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_02]: I thought the defense kind of just no showed in the first quarter and kind of figured it out and like kind of got some things going right and then kind of just no showed again in the fourth quarter.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_02]: They struggled to stop the run.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_02]: We got gashed up the middle pretty much all day Jefferson is a great player.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_02]: But everybody knows that Justin Jefferson is in a good player.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_02]: like he should be highlighted every time.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_02]: It's just it's frustrating.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_02]: We found a way to lose the game.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_03]: this game up until seven minutes to go because I kind of went back and I rewatched the last seven minutes because you know it happened this morning and then the afternoon watching the these other games and like man I just want to go back and see again brown time the seven minutes to go we punt the ball and we failed to down at the one yard line because soon at Harra's toe is on the line.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_06]: That's what the second part of the 20 football ball by the way.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_06]: Second worst whirlwind football, other the fumbling out of the back of the end zone.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_06]: Why is it your toe, but like for everything else, it's the ball.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_03]: It's the ball.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it makes no sense.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_03]: No sense at all.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_03]: So the Vikings then now things start to go our way.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_03]: It proceed to burn three and a half minutes off the clock just to gain negative one yard in that time span.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_03]: Then they have to punt back to us.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_03]: It's like, wow, we just shut them down.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_03]: We get the ball back with 327 on a great return by gauge
- 7:53[SPEAKER_03]: We do a zero yard run at 324, then they call a timeout.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_03]: And a negative one yard run, 319 to go.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_03]: And then an incomplete pass to I don't know who found.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_03]: So that stops the clock.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_03]: 316, we punt at 305.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_03]: So we got the ball at 327, went negative one yard and gave it right back to them.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_03]: What 12 or 22 seconds later.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_03]: And then that was it.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_03]: After that, they went down the field.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_06]: You know, we can talk about the timeout situation and yeah, it's I'll tell you I was thinking about this when I was watching this game and like the like the offense was Slowly like throughout the game you could tell like they were writing out of things like we were okay Okay, we're moving the ball a little bit and then like by the time I got to the fourth quarter just like we couldn't do anything and it reminded me I when I coached
- 8:49[SPEAKER_06]: I used to call plays and there was one year where my team was not very good, but we had a good running back.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_06]: Okay?
- 8:56[SPEAKER_06]: He was a little bit bigger and stronger than the everybody else on our team.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_06]: He was pretty solid and we would come out in a game and we had like a play.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_06]: where we ran, it was like the one play we ran pretty well, gave it to this running back, and we would catch teams off guard for this play in the first quarter.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_06]: Maybe we'd run like a seven play drive, and we'd go down in score, and you would think, and look at this offense, here we go, we're doing some things.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_06]: And then the other team, it took the other team about two drives to realize,
- 9:25[SPEAKER_06]: Oh man.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_06]: This is the only play and the only kid they got.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_06]: If we just shut this kid down, there's not really anything else we can do.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_06]: And they're all the sudden they're just key on that guy and key on that formation.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_06]: And all of a sudden now they're doing that, tons of things should be open, right?
- 9:42[SPEAKER_06]: But our team wasn't very good.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_06]: Didn't have a good quarterback.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_06]: Couldn't get it to
- 9:53[SPEAKER_06]: couldn't do anything.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_06]: We went score again the rest of the game, even though the first quarter we'd go eight players right down the field score touchdown.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_06]: And that's what it just reminds me of that like we don't have that good of players.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_06]: And once the other team figures out like, oh, Quint shot, Judd, Kansas literally all they have.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_06]: There's nothing, there isn't a play sheet big enough.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_06]: If you just don't have, like, some people, I think some people, I'm not saying like, everything we do in the coaching department is perfect, but I think some people over value what coaching can do with a terrible roster.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_06]: Like, I don't care who you are.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_06]: If your roster is just super, super bad, there's nothing a coach can do.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_06]: And offensively, our roster is super, super bad.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_06]: So the fact that we're only getting,
- 10:36[SPEAKER_06]: Of course, we're only getting 17 points.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_06]: Look who we're throwing to.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_06]: Look who is playing left tackle.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_06]: I should go up to Barri at tomorrow and see if I can play left tackle this week because I can't be much worse than Levinson.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_06]: I thought James Hudson was the worst offensive line but I'd ever watched play.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_06]: He might block circles around Levinson.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_06]: It is, it completely kills your offense.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_06]: You can't do anything.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_06]: People wanted to see the offense get creative.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_06]: We can't do a five step drop.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_06]: It'll be a sack every single time.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_03]: Well, we can't, and that, that lens to the next thing here, we can't throw the ball past 10 yards.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_03]: Tom, I got it.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_03]: Every 10, and if it's 10 or more yards down the field, it's like, probably like a 1 and 10 gets completed or even close.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_03]: And, and yeah, Dylan Gabriel, I thought, I mean, we can talk about him too, like, separately, but overall, I thought he played a good game.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_03]: I thought he managed the game, why I thought he did exactly what?
- 11:29[SPEAKER_03]: Kevin and the Browns offense needed him to do to keep us in it.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_03]: He didn't turn the ball over.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_03]: You know, he gave what the defense was giving him.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_03]: But man, if you tried to go past 10 yards, it was like, whoa, that did not look good.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_03]: But neither did Joe Flacco.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_03]: And I think the offense, this offense, did not bill for it.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_03]: If we can't run the ball or throw the ball within 10 yards, we're screwed.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_03]: Screwed.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_06]: A huge part, we can't, we get no separation.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_06]: We throw it a fragment.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_06]: If we didn't have fan in the Jocco,
- 11:59[SPEAKER_06]: We wouldn't complete a pass.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_06]: In part of it is, you finally do get a wide receiver, your number one wide open, and kind of a big moment early in the game and goes right through Sands.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_06]: I've seen Jerry Judy.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_06]: I'm about ready to just be like, just be gone.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, be gone.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_06]: And that's who, that's our number one.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_06]: Like, that's the point I keep trying to drive home.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_06]: This guy would be a low end to our three on every other team in the sleek outside of maybe 10 to see.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_06]: And we're trying them out.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_06]: There's our number one.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_06]: Jamari thrash and Isaiah bond were the number two today.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_06]: Did you, I didn't even see Jamari thrash.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_02]: It's last drive.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_02]: He got the, the last, the last.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_06]: And then we were relying on like people are like, we had the rookie look, they're, I say, a bond wasn't even on this team a month ago.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_06]: And, uh, Quinshot Judkins was on this team week one.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_06]: You know, so like we're depending on rookies who've been here three to four weeks, two out of three of them.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_06]: Dylan Gabriel and his first start against a defensive coordinator who'd never loses to rookie quarterbacks.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_06]: And it's just like, that's why the offense to me, the offense was as basically what you could expect.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_06]: That was as good as you're probably going to get out of the offense in today's game.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_06]: That's why I'm so frustrated when the defense has a chance to go out and seal the win for you.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_06]: They just let him march right down the field.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, man, there was a very frustrating, very frustrating watching that game, but I don't know about you guys and you guys in the chat, let us know and I've kind of been keeping an eye on what people would be saying.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_03]: You guys keep a poppin' over there by the way, you're doing good work.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_03]: Who else felt like as that game was winding down in the fourth quarter, like I think we're gonna find a way to blow this.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I was just waiting for it.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_03]: I'm like, I've seen this movie so many times, I know this team very well.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_03]: And this is exactly.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_03]: And then they start showing the stat, like the graphic on there.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_03]: I'll KOC Kevin O'Connell for the Vikings is like 26 and 10 and one score situations or whatever.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_03]: I'm like, oh, he's about to be 27 and 10.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_03]: I just think it's happening.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_02]: Most come back wins ever and that's how history.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_02]: I'm like, oh, there's another good one.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_03]: This is, you know, oh, a not for us.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_03]: Brian for us is 10 and more.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not defeated.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_03]: undefeated against rookie quarterbacks.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_03]: Well, yeah, I'm sorry.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_03]: Trevor Lawrence.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_03]: Trevor Lawrence.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_03]: Trevor Lawrence.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, 21 or something.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_06]: So I'm seeing some people in here talking about how conservative Kevin went as the game went on.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_06]: And I like, I agree, but put yourself in the coaches' shoes.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_06]: if would you not do you have the number one defense you have your rookie quarterback on the road in London playing his first ever game against the guy who doesn't ever lose to rookie quarterbacks if if Dylan Gabriel throws a fourth quarter interception bid
- 14:53[SPEAKER_06]: could you imagine what people would be saying they'd be all we'd be hearing is run the damn ball Kevin that's all anybody would be saying if we had Dylan Gabriel in the fourth quarter thrown around passes and he would have thrown a turnover and we would have lost.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_06]: There's just no making like of course you're going to go conserve you're going to put it on the back of the best unit you have like I that's the only way to win that's the only way the
- 15:17[SPEAKER_03]: I did see somebody make a good point.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_03]: I forget who it was on Twitter and they said, like the Browns got to a point where Kevin was playing not to lose, but we lose anyway.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_03]: So it almost, it is almost counterproductive.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_03]: I give what you're saying.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it makes total sense.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_03]: The situation was not ideal.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_03]: We were talking about before you got on here.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_03]: This is top three past defense in Minnesota.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_03]: And we knew that coming in.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_03]: It was going to be top.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_03]: With a dude.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_06]: We tried Jenkins was running the ball as well as he was.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_06]: Could you imagine if we stopped running it with him and told Dylan Gabriel to go out and just start throwing the ball ten times in the fourth quarter?
- 15:51[SPEAKER_06]: Everybody, all the people who are calling for Kevin said would just be calling for Kevin's head for a different reason.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_03]: It took me nice if they, um, wasn't have been hoarding so much and maybe Quintron could have had, you know, a touchdown 175 yards in this game.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, the dude was insane.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_06]: he's there's there are bright spots to this team like i i pay my home how the pleaded the offensive roster is but fainan is a dude judge consists of dude don't seem to go figure out past blocking apparently because he can't hardly get on the field since week one um doing Gabriel at least look i don't i don't know how i feel about Dylan like
- 16:27[SPEAKER_06]: He, to me, he looked like a serviceable, like, okay, quarterback.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_06]: I'm not going to judge him off the first game of his career against a defense like this, but I also didn't see like, there's nothing, wow, you know?
- 16:40[SPEAKER_06]: But again, it's, how, how can you be when your number one wide receiver is Jerry Judy?
- 16:45[SPEAKER_06]: And you're, you have to throw, check down, steer tight ends all day because nobody's open.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_06]: And you can't.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_06]: No, there's no blocking in front of you.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_06]: So, I thought he, he at least did enough to show me.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_06]: I'm happy they made the switch, and I wish they would have done it three weeks ago.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_02]: That's where I'm at.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_02]: It's a, I thought it was a breath of fresh air compared to what we've seen the first month of the season.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_02]: At least this dude has some mobility.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_02]: He can get out of a, you know, get out of the pocket, you can scramble a little bit.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, this was a tough defense.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_02]: He's got the mobility.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_02]: I'd like to see him kind of get like boot like out a little bit.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_02]: Wasn't that the bread and butter?
- 17:22[SPEAKER_02]: We never see that.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_02]: He can actually run, get him out in space.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_02]: Let him, the last couple throws him like the dude can throw the ball.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_02]: He could, I mean, let him at least cook just a little bit.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_02]: Do we?
- 17:33[SPEAKER_02]: get so conservative.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_02]: So tired is too yard.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_02]: I'm tired.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just tired of that.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_02]: And at least in the joke who kind of had a reemergence today.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_02]: Like he showed up big time.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't even know for sure if you saw on a roster the first time.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_03]: I know I was thinking early on today like, maybe they ought to just, and maybe they're thinking about trading David because he's not involved.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_03]: He's not involved.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_03]: He's not doing anything here.
- 17:56[SPEAKER_03]: We're not winning any games that sure what's the point in keeping him around.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I'm thinking business like from the Browns perspective, but yeah, he had a great game.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_03]: The one play would deal in that I was like now there's a big difference between him and Joe.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_03]: was there was a play that might have been the third or fourth correct you remember and it looked like the entire pocket just collapsed like he was done I'm like oh that's a sack and all of a sudden he's he's ten yards up field like oh he just scored it right out the front of that you know all the pressure and then took off for a big gain I'm like okay that's cool that's what we need our quarterback to be able to do especially with
- 18:26[SPEAKER_03]: this offensive line, but I'm with you just and like roll them out.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_03]: If you can get to a five step drop behind this offensive line to let things develop down feel right play action roll them out to where there's a little more time and maybe we can connect on something past 10 yards because this dank and dunk stuff is getting old.
- 18:44[SPEAKER_06]: I can't give Kevin Stephanski a pass, especially when the Vikings had coach was working with a third string QB and 60% of his O.L.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_06]: was missing.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_06]: He was a backup QB, his Carson went to play like an MVP, not that long ago, and he also has just Jefferson and Jordan Addison and TJ Hawkinson.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_06]: We don't have anything close to that.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_03]: It's still on that defense though, man.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_03]: We should have been tean off.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_06]: That's what I was the point I was going to make like I expected that I know they have TJ Hawkinson and Jordan Mason and Jordan Addison and Justin Jefferson.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_06]: I didn't expect them to really be a factor because they had three offensive linemen now.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_06]: I thought
- 19:26[SPEAKER_06]: I thought this was going to look like bangles week one two seasons ago where they just literally couldn't get a playoff.
- 19:33[SPEAKER_06]: The pressure was just in this dude's face so fast that there's just nothing they could do.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_06]: That's the way I expected this game to go, and our defense looked lost in so many people like to crap on Kevin.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_06]: But I think Jim Schwartz gets a pass on so much.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_06]: And every time we face an offense like that's held by like a Kevin O'Connell or a slow-ic in Houston or just like anybody or stike in an Indianapolis, the defense gets shredded.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_06]: You know, he gets a pass on this, everybody just likes to dump on Kevin and that they'll praise Jim Schwartz anytime the defense plays well, but anytime we play anybody who has like athletes or they have like a young creative offensive coach, the defense defense doesn't hold up.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_03]: Well, we got a voicemail to play about this too, but just to kind of pre, you know, pre into that, like how much of that is credit to KOC on the other side of the ball scheming against our defense appropriately to get those things open.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, whatever game plan they cooked up this week, it worked, it worked for them.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_06]: For sure, do we want to take our first commercial then we'll come back and knock out some of these voicemails?
- 20:40[SPEAKER_03]: Yep, let's do that.

- 22:21[SPEAKER_11]: Yep, first one here.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_11]: Some anti-subdog pack and you guys are here.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_11]: What is this appointing loss?
- 22:27[SPEAKER_11]: And I've never done one of these before, so I'll start.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_11]: I'll do, I'll just go to what I know, which is the shit sandwich.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_11]: And so I'll start off with the good.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_11]: I thought that Dylan Gabriel performed well for his first start as a rookie for sure.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_11]: uh... comes to fancy didn't seem to baby him and he's a man uh... many looking to know the offense and that he's competent and now the ship part of the sandwiches i think that comes to fancy is terrible at scheming
- 22:55[SPEAKER_11]: I, you know, you can blame the weapons that we have as much as you want.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_11]: I don't feel like that's what it is.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_11]: What I feel like is the scheme week after week.
- 23:07[SPEAKER_11]: We just see, I think you can, as a, as a good case point, you can look at the Vikings and I kept seeing them the discord that how are we not getting sacks on, on Carson Wentz when they have backup line and as we could honestly, because they knew
- 23:25[SPEAKER_11]: Kevin's defense, he has terrible scheme, and then he goes and just mismatches the game.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_11]: Now what was good to complete the shit sandwich is, you know, we're also here, we're fans, we love each other, and, you know, that's, you would just have to be good with that.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_11]: So, see ya.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_03]: Kumbaya, madup.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_06]: Andy Kaiser, me and Andy took a lot of fun art classes together in high school.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_06]: I've been a person in the past who has wanted the offense to get more creative.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_06]: You know, I wanted I was all on board for getting rid of.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_06]: Alex, may have felt I did not only Ken Dorsey, but I was hoping in this all season that like Mike McDaniel would have been fired and we could have brought him in his offensive coordinator because I'm I obviously want some more pre-snat motion and all that good stuff, but I don't think Kevin scheme is just terrible.
- 24:22[SPEAKER_06]: We've been over this even going back to an Odell was here with Baker.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_06]: Doods are open all the time.
- 24:28[SPEAKER_06]: There's literally dudes just running around wide open.
- 24:31[SPEAKER_06]: We've either had a quarterback that can't hit him now.
- 24:33[SPEAKER_06]: I don't think anybody's open because
- 24:35[SPEAKER_06]: It's a lot easier to scheme guys open when your guys are Jordan Addison, TJ Hawkinson, and Justin Jefferson as opposed to Jerry Judy Jamari Thrash and Isaiah Bond.
- 24:48[SPEAKER_06]: Like, my thing, my call to this is, and I've said this multiple times.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_06]: Everybody here in everybody around the league thinks Shane Steak and is a very good offensive coach.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_06]: He had all the same, he had the exact same team last year as he does this year.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_06]: The only difference is a quarterback.
- 25:06[SPEAKER_06]: In last year, they were awful, couldn't score, couldn't do anything, almost got fired.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_06]: They got in one competent quarterback, and all of a sudden, their offense looks amazing, and they're what foreign one, they dominated today.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_06]: Like, you have to have good players in order to be good.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_06]: Good coaching is only going to get you so far.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_06]: Our coach is not going to elevate.
- 25:27[SPEAKER_06]: This is an F roster on the offensive side of the ball.
- 25:30[SPEAKER_06]: It's an F roster.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_06]: It's the Titans and us.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_06]: But there's nobody who is bad, it's, it's, you're not going to get production.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_06]: There isn't a coach in the world that would come to this team and make this offense good.
- 25:45[SPEAKER_06]: You won't, there isn't one because I'm watching other good offensive coaches in this league not be good with way better players.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_06]: Way better players.
- 25:54[SPEAKER_02]: Let me ask you guys something.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_02]: You brought up a name there.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_02]: Mike, he's probably getting fired at the end of the year.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_02]: It might not even be by the end of the year.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_02]: Would you be interested in bringing him in?
- 26:07[SPEAKER_02]: Do you think that he would be able to do something with this offense or you're saying just forever Or just screwed No, I think of the talent out.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_06]: I would I would bring him I would bring him in.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_06]: I wanted to bring him in this year But I just to just say like that the reason this offense sucks is because seven Kevin scheme just doesn't make any sense to me
- 26:26[SPEAKER_06]: We've seen this scheme be good when it had better players and I'm not talking about like all world players I'm just talking about like a competent level of QB play and an offensive line that can block Still know good wide receivers like Rashard Higgins was out.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_06]: Rashard Higgins couldn't play on any other team And we loved him here in Cleveland because this offense made him look productive.
- 26:45[SPEAKER_03]: I Think that and I feel like this is the sentiment I get from a lot of fans though is like
- 26:51[SPEAKER_03]: And I was telling Justin this earlier, I get the feeling with Kevin sometimes like it's my way or the highway.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_03]: Like, we're gonna run my offense to either gonna work or it's not.
- 27:00[SPEAKER_03]: And I get what Andy's saying about, it doesn't necessarily scheme to take advantage of what your opponent weaknesses are.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_03]: And I think that's the problem a lot of people have.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I don't know if you guys saw the pole from Garrett Bush last week, but I think this might be interesting.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_03]: And you guys in the chat, let's play a game here.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_03]: Drop it in the chat, and I'll ask you guys.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_03]: And let's go just in first.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_03]: If you were in charge, you're the GM of an NFL team.
- 27:25[SPEAKER_03]: And you got your head coach, got your D coordinator, but your offensive coordinator either fire them or they go take another job.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_03]: And Kevin's the Fancy's available.
- 27:33[SPEAKER_03]: Are you bringing in Kevin's the Fancy's to be your offensive coordinator to run your offense?
- 27:37[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if I am, but he would be hired.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_03]: He would be hired.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_03]: That's not what I'm asking.
- 27:42[SPEAKER_02]: Would you take him to run your team?
- 27:46[SPEAKER_02]: I guess it depends on the personnel, like if you've got, I'm just saying, if you've got a, if you've got a guy, the thing that I'd like just frustrating with me is I feel like we went away from what Kevin's defense he was good at.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
- 28:00[SPEAKER_03]: Like that's because that means he went away from what he did.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_03]: That's what that's on him.
- 28:05[SPEAKER_02]: And that's what I'm saying.
- 28:06[SPEAKER_04]: There's some of the things away from anything.
- 28:09[SPEAKER_04]: We just, we don't, our offensive roster is the worst in football.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_04]: I know and he's part of that.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_04]: No, he's not the GM blame.
- 28:18[SPEAKER_04]: They make all their decisions together.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_04]: They'll tell me he has no say in person.
- 28:21[SPEAKER_04]: No.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_04]: He might have some say in the person.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_04]: No, but the end of the day, the GM is the one I've never met fire there and get rid of Barry, too.
- 28:28[SPEAKER_06]: But that's what I said.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_06]: You're claiming to head coach for a team that has rolling out love is staying at left tackle right now.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_03]: Amen, Leviston, it starts at the top.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_03]: You're why he's the only head coach in a fellow who cannot get blamed for being this bad.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_06]: I'm not saying he gets no blame.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_06]: I'm not saying he gets no blame.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_06]: I just said, what, what, what do you blame?
- 28:51[SPEAKER_06]: Obviously like there's more creativity you can add to the offense, but there you have to be realistic We've seen this guy be good when he doesn't have the worst players in the league.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_03]: Let's take the offense out though What about blowing close games like this good coaches good coach teams?
- 29:04[SPEAKER_06]: Well prepared teams when these games they don't lose me Well Was the defense not did we not have the lead with three minutes to go we did our one with with our best unit on the field What what the sometimes the players has to play?
- 29:18[SPEAKER_06]: What's he Kevin's defense he's supposed to do?
- 29:20[SPEAKER_06]: He gave his lead by all his real close for the Minnesota Vikings.
- 29:26[SPEAKER_04]: He didn't call the first time out until they're in fuel go range.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_04]: Why call the time out?
- 29:31[SPEAKER_04]: So you have time if he doesn't call the time out, so they run it down to nothing in score.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_04]: We don't even have a chance.
- 29:36[SPEAKER_04]: Well, that means you're counting on them to score.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_04]: They scored anyway.
- 29:42[SPEAKER_04]: You're saying you would have rather have let them hold eat up the whole class in score because they did anyway they did it anyway.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, and because we took the timeouts, we had 20 seconds to go score.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, we're going to go score in 20 seconds.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_04]: So you're going to say you're the straight face right now.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_06]: Are you with me that it was better to just they would have been better to let them score with a walk off.
- 30:08[SPEAKER_03]: I've never better to let them score.
- 30:11[SPEAKER_03]: It's better to make them go out there and run hurry up offense, try to get them all out of bounds.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_03]: If they don't get out of bounds, they have to run up, try to spikes.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_03]: There was three minutes.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_04]: There was two minutes.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_04]: There was two minutes.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_04]: They had plenty of time.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_04]: They had a two minute warning and a timeout.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_06]: Teams year not three.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_06]: We watched a team go down the score.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_06]: In 13 seconds, two years ago in a playoff game.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_06]: I will say, let me, uh, once they got into one, once they got into field will range, you had to start taking your timeouts to try to preserve clock for when you got the ball back.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_04]: Dude, they, it was going to be a tie.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_06]: Even the, even the announcer said that.
- 30:47[SPEAKER_06]: They took the first one to announce.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_06]: And the announcer's like, this is about conserving time now.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_06]: That he didn't call, it's not like he called it on their first down play when they start 80 yards to go.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_06]: Once they got into field were ranges, it's like, okay, I have to save some time so we have a chance to go win this game at the end.
- 31:03[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I worked out real well.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, how's it 20 Monday morning quarterback over here what about so here me out on this what about even the the previous Drive where it's third down and we just throw it out of bounds and we give him a free time out Terri why why I'm not saying that we have to run the ball and be predictable But at least make them use that last time out and then they only have the two minute warning
- 31:29[SPEAKER_02]: It's confusing.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_04]: I haven't told him to throw it out of bounds.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_04]: It was a terrible play.
- 31:34[SPEAKER_03]: I was just, it should have been a runner.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_03]: It should have been a, like, if you're going to throw, do a play action screen or something.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_03]: I saw the Broncos run the same thing in their gaming as the Eagles.
- 31:42[SPEAKER_03]: It's like, dude, this doesn't have to be so hard.
- 31:45[SPEAKER_03]: We can't throw the ball 10 years down the field.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_03]: All game, we're going to do it now.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_06]: I'm just saying the entire chat's talking about how conservative you went in the fourth quarter.
- 31:54[SPEAKER_06]: And now we're talking about how he shouldn't have
- 32:00[SPEAKER_06]: Let's all say.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_06]: There's just, there's just no, there's just no winning.
- 32:04[SPEAKER_06]: If you would have, if you would have, if you would have, yeah, but we knew that.
- 32:09[SPEAKER_06]: We all expected to be.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, but that doesn't make it.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_03]: It doesn't make him a good coach, just because we knew we were going to be bad.
- 32:13[SPEAKER_06]: No, what makes him a good coach is anytime he's had even adequate talent.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_06]: We've gone to the playoffs.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 32:20[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I won't see when that happens again.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_06]: We, he's been the playoffs 40% of his career.
- 32:27[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 32:28[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, if that's quite just,
- 32:30[SPEAKER_06]: I'm just saying, like we're using like this year as the benchmark to say we should fire the coach when we knew we weren't going to be good this year.
- 32:40[SPEAKER_04]: I'm just saying man, it's going to be, I think it's going to be a while.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_06]: I don't think that we're letting this season.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_06]: We're like one off season away from being good.
- 32:49[SPEAKER_03]: I hope so, but I just don't, I don't see it that way.
- 32:52[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know yet, but why?
- 32:55[SPEAKER_03]: You see this, you just talked about how bad this roster is on offense.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_03]: You think that if fix the entire thing in one off season and you think by the time we're going to fix the defense is still going to be this good.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_06]: You need a lineman and a receiver if we just we just need one we just knocked that I said we need lineman and we're okay.
- 33:13[SPEAKER_06]: We just knocked out a draft where we got all these starters.
- 33:15[SPEAKER_06]: You need one more good free agency.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_06]: One more good draft and all the sudden you're right in the mix of things.
- 33:20[SPEAKER_03]: But remember what I said earlier today, the 2024 draft, zero players from that
- 33:30[SPEAKER_06]: Andrew Mary.
- 33:31[SPEAKER_06]: So I just think there's so I feel like there's so much skating like Andrew Barry just gets.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_06]: He doesn't want to go into.
- 33:40[SPEAKER_03]: I'm done with this.
- 33:40[SPEAKER_06]: The one on top of the roster.
- 33:43[SPEAKER_06]: He's the one who assembled the roster.
- 33:45[SPEAKER_06]: And we're blaming the guy who you guys have never even called.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_06]: You don't call plays.
- 33:49[SPEAKER_06]: What plays would you call?
- 33:51[SPEAKER_03]: I just told you what I would have done in that situation.
- 33:55[SPEAKER_06]: It's easy to.
- 33:56[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, that you think if we would have thrown a screen.
- 33:59[SPEAKER_03]: You just asked me and I answered yes, so I mean, what do you want?
- 34:02[SPEAKER_06]: I'm just saying, there's nothing, nothing any coach would do with this offensive roster.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 34:08[SPEAKER_06]: If I'm right now, I watch, I watch the chiefs not be able to score.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_06]: They have 80 reading Patrick Mahomes.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_03]: There's still one in games.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_06]: They have one more win than us.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_03]: One more win than us.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_03]: We're lucky we blocked that field goal against the packers or be on five.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_06]: Well, the bangles are lucky that we missed a field goal or we'd be, have two wins.
- 34:33[SPEAKER_06]: Like, true.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_02]: You can't.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_02]: I've seen nuts.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_02]: I think that the frustration comes is we're in every one of these games.
- 34:42[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like we're in every one of the games and then it always just kind of is the same.
- 34:45[SPEAKER_02]: And then the team that has better players pulls it out in the end, you're right.
- 34:50[SPEAKER_02]: But then how do we win the Green Bay game if all the better players?
- 34:53[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
- 34:55[SPEAKER_06]: Because sometimes they were like, our team fans would go their way.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_06]: Sometimes the defense steps up and they made a play.
- 35:00[SPEAKER_06]: Our best unit played out of their mindset game.
- 35:06[SPEAKER_03]: I just know we've been having the offensive.
- 35:10[SPEAKER_03]: debate.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_03]: Every year he's been here.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_03]: Now some girls have been better.
- 35:14[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, we have.
- 35:14[SPEAKER_03]: Here's a bit better than others games.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_03]: Every year there are people that complain about the play calling, complain about the situation all decisions.
- 35:22[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but you were never one of them.
- 35:24[SPEAKER_06]: No, not just a reason that's, which is that's my argument is you always defended them and then you're going to use this year.
- 35:31[SPEAKER_03]: No, I mean, we're in the last two years.
- 35:32[SPEAKER_03]: We are four and 20 since the last time we won two.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_03]: We haven't scored over 17 in the last 10 straight games.
- 35:38[SPEAKER_03]: This time gets sucks and he's that's what he was trying to put it on him.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_03]: I'm putting it on him.
- 35:42[SPEAKER_03]: It's not because of coaching.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, then then I guess we don't need a coach.
- 35:46[SPEAKER_04]: It's, again, you've never coached anything in your life.
- 35:49[SPEAKER_04]: How would you know anything?
- 35:50[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 35:51[SPEAKER_03]: Can we talk about the game instead of this, I'm a person who's right.
- 35:56[SPEAKER_06]: Like, there's no, you, there's, how big is your place sheet?
- 36:00[SPEAKER_06]: To call for a play to Jomari Thrash.
- 36:05[SPEAKER_06]: The Ravens are one in five.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_06]: They have Rashad Bateman, Zay Flowers, Lamar Jackson, Isaiah Leicley, Mark Andrews, Kyle Hamilton, Rashad Rochon Smith,
- 36:16[SPEAKER_06]: John Hardball must be a bad coach, too.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just, let's keep talking about the game.
- 36:26[SPEAKER_01]: Like, let's go to the second voicemail.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, they don't get much better.
- 36:32[SPEAKER_10]: Hey y'all, it's Mick from San Diego.
- 36:34[SPEAKER_10]: I thought that waking up at 6am West Coast time would mean we would win, but I guess not.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_10]: Gabriel's first start.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_10]: I think it went pretty well.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_10]: I also think that we kind of...
- 36:49[SPEAKER_10]: were very conservative with the play calling root we were real safe um he made good decisions but i think if Kevin could replay the last three minutes of the game he would uh going for that pass on third down should have run the ball force them to call a timeout and or let the play clock run and then burning all our timeouts yes i understand
- 37:17[SPEAKER_10]: That's how we wanted to possibly get our time back, but every time we called the timeout, we allowed their team to get some rest.
- 37:27[SPEAKER_10]: So I would have much rather kept the timeouts and gone from there.
- 37:32[SPEAKER_10]: Um, rookies are playing well.
- 37:34[SPEAKER_10]: I'm like, and when I'm saying, hopefully we can get uh, some wins here.
- 37:37[SPEAKER_10]: All right.
- 37:38[SPEAKER_10]: Go Browns.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_06]: I appreciate the who who at the end.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_03]: How hard it, but it's still there.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_06]: Uh, the rookies are like the only bright spot of this team.
- 37:51[SPEAKER_06]: It's like, if it, if we didn't have them, it would be a dark day.
- 37:55[SPEAKER_06]: Because clinchard Jenkins is very good.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_06]: It would have a sure been nice to have him in week one.
- 38:00[SPEAKER_06]: Like, because we probably have two wins.
- 38:04[SPEAKER_06]: If we do, we're not relying on Andre Schmitt to kick a field goal, because clinchard Jenkins would have 200 yards rushing.
- 38:11[SPEAKER_06]: So, that's frustrating.
- 38:12[SPEAKER_06]: But, um,
- 38:14[SPEAKER_06]: No, it's just, it's going to be, every game is going to be the exact same, but sure, every single game for the exact same.
- 38:23[SPEAKER_06]: Like, we're going to struggle to score and we're going to have to hope the defense plays well.
- 38:29[SPEAKER_06]: That's, that's just the story of this Brown season.
- 38:33[SPEAKER_03]: The nice thing is, Judkin's looks like,
- 38:36[SPEAKER_03]: I know everybody loves Nick Chob, and I'm not trying to like, displace Nick Chob, but the things that Nick Chob did for this offense, Chobkins looks like he can do that for us.
- 38:46[SPEAKER_03]: Very well.
- 38:47[SPEAKER_03]: And that was a... I said this in my recap video earlier, just real quick on like TikTok.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_03]: If anybody's still worried about his breakaway speed or anything like that, he put that to bed today.
- 38:57[SPEAKER_03]: That dude can break away and he can take it to the house.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 39:01[SPEAKER_02]: We're a fan in a bond whole away from that dude being like buck 60 and two touchdowns.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_05]: And with a crap offensive line, could you imagine if they put pieces around it, if we can block, that's what I said.
- 39:17[SPEAKER_06]: If we just, if we retool the offensive line, just a little bit, like add two serviceable tackles, what's quick, judge, he's going to be a top five back.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_03]: I think they they can get him more involved in the passing game to this they use the one the one screen pass to him Like they got him in his hands, and he just he does he just goes north immediately hard.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_03]: I mean he's running hard That's just I think the this guy's got a huge ceiling
- 39:43[SPEAKER_02]: When we talked about it earlier, just the fact that he's able to come in and be so reliable, it makes Jerome Ford look reliable today.
- 39:50[SPEAKER_02]: Jerome Ford, like you said, came in for what five, six naps looked good.
- 39:54[SPEAKER_02]: You know, looked just ran northern south, looked good, was productive.
- 39:59[SPEAKER_03]: That's right, and we talked about how like having Judd kids, the big bruising back to wear down that defense helps the guy like Jerome Ford who's not efficient, who's not the big bruising back, to come in and actually have a little bit of success.
- 40:11[SPEAKER_06]: I said, Ford's good for his four to six plays.
- 40:14[SPEAKER_06]: Touches, just don't, if he don't give him a seventh touch, because it's going to be a three yard loss.
- 40:21[SPEAKER_06]: It says, there's a comment here that said, Jerome Ford should not be on the field for an entire series.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_06]: I wholeheartedly agree.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_06]: I just think they're in a little bit of a pen trait now in terms, especially like a two minute drill, where he's easily, he's by far probably the best pass blocker in terms of what the running backs end.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_06]: When you're in that two-minute drill situation, Dylan Samson, I don't believe it's a very good pass blocker right now.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_06]: Quintion Giukets is probably a pretty decent pass blocking, but he hasn't been here for a long time.
- 40:49[SPEAKER_06]: You missed all of the offseason.
- 40:50[SPEAKER_06]: So when you're in that two-minute drive and communication is key and knowing your pass blockers, I feel like that's why he's in there before the half.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_06]: People are like, why is Jerome forwarding there?
- 41:00[SPEAKER_06]: Well, we're going kind of a hurry up.
- 41:02[SPEAKER_06]: Like you're gonna have your guy who you can trust a past block in there in that situation.
- 41:06[SPEAKER_06]: It sucks I would imagine that to be slowly phased out like you know a few more weeks As Quinn Shun's been here even longer.
- 41:13[SPEAKER_06]: He might even still be getting in football shape a little bit like I would Amat obviously he was working out before he signed But football shape is different than just like running hills and doing cardio like getting hit and all that good stuff He's still getting into like he's still in this preseason
- 41:27[SPEAKER_06]: You know, this was though at his fourth game, and he's looked better in every week.
- 41:31[SPEAKER_03]: You know, yes, he's a better and the thing is he's in bed and he 23 carries today.
- 41:36[SPEAKER_03]: What was it last week, 18 or 21 or something, then it was like 18 the week, like, at some point we didn't need to talk about like, are we going to put too much on this guy?
- 41:45[SPEAKER_03]: You know, is he going to wear down as the season goes on?
- 41:48[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, and that's why he's not in there.
- 41:49[SPEAKER_03]: Sometimes too whenever you, you know, people get mad about situational stuff, but
- 41:53[SPEAKER_03]: The guy probably already had 20 carries at this point.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe he's I just it's a lot.
- 41:57[SPEAKER_06]: It's a lot to today like early like second quarter and you got to he got like six carries on a row or something.
- 42:03[SPEAKER_06]: I was like, yeah, are we going to get this guy killed?
- 42:06[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, because there's nothing we don't have anybody else that we can give the ball to to do anything.
- 42:10[SPEAKER_06]: Like we need Dylan Samson to kind of
- 42:14[SPEAKER_06]: figure out some of the stuff they need to figure out because we need a that want to punch or quinch on, it's not going to be here.
- 42:21[SPEAKER_06]: Past is working contract because we're going to run them, but it's going to be Zeke Elliott.
- 42:24[SPEAKER_06]: Right.
- 42:25[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 42:25[SPEAKER_06]: You know, I mean, how great Zeke was and then it just like you all the sudden the 10,000 hits he took over the previous three, four years, all the sudden I'll show it up at once.
- 42:35[SPEAKER_06]: I don't want that to happen to quinch on.
- 42:36[SPEAKER_06]: We kind of
- 42:38[SPEAKER_06]: We need one of these other backs to step up and kind of be a guy that we can rely on to get us a yard.
- 42:44[SPEAKER_06]: Like we talked about it.
- 42:45[SPEAKER_06]: No other running back on our team would have got us at 4th and 1.
- 42:48[SPEAKER_06]: There was nothing there in Quinshaj, Jenkins got it all by himself.
- 42:51[SPEAKER_06]: No other running back would have got that.
- 42:53[SPEAKER_06]: And so we need somebody else to step up because like you said like I thought the same thing and it wasn't fourth quarter.
- 43:01[SPEAKER_06]: It was middle of the second quarter and I was like, oh man, I hope we don't kill this kid.
- 43:09[SPEAKER_02]: I could be really wrong, but I believe for picked up a fourth and one man in the second quarter, because I was absolutely beside myself.
- 43:18[SPEAKER_05]: Was it fourth and one and a third and one I can't remember?
- 43:20[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 43:21[SPEAKER_02]: I thought it was fourth and one brow, but he picked it up and I was just like, okay, remember which one you're talking about?
- 43:25[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 43:26[SPEAKER_02]: Bye.
- 43:28[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, it's one of those things where it's just like we're going to get the guy ordered if we don't manage something else around him and like you said people are why is he he can't play every down you know and he can't run the ball every play like it's some point somebody else has to step up on in that position and give the guy a little bit of a break we don't want we don't want him to get 25 to 30 carries a game.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_06]: at least like I mean it might be fun every now and again when it calls for that kind of thing yeah I mean you do that to win a game that should not be your game plan correct you know like if if there's a game where you're wearing them down and he's in his own and it's like you got to have it you know we're gonna give you seven extra carries this game because we're icing this out in the fourth quarter and they can't stop you but you like you said you can't come into the game going quinch on's getting 25 plus touches right
- 44:20[SPEAKER_06]: You know, in between the tackles, he's not going to last for a season with a missed off season basically.
- 44:27[SPEAKER_06]: And they bat all in a bad offensive line.
- 44:29[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
- 44:30[SPEAKER_06]: He's just getting pummeled.
- 44:31[SPEAKER_06]: But as soon as he touched the ball.
- 44:33[SPEAKER_03]: Can we talk about, like, just how impressive he is.
- 44:35[SPEAKER_03]: And this rookie running back class, which was filled with studs.
- 44:39[SPEAKER_03]: You know, it was a great running back class and all that kind of stuff.
- 44:43[SPEAKER_03]: You've got the guys in the first round, like, Ashton, Gentie and Omerian Hampton.
- 44:46[SPEAKER_03]: Then there was Quinn Sean and Trayvian Henderson, some of these other guys.
- 44:49[SPEAKER_03]: like he's out producing them and he missed a game and he's got the worst offensive line out of any of them and and defense is no we're going to run the ball like because we can't throw it very well and he's still making it happen.
- 45:03[SPEAKER_03]: It's beer.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_03]: I'm very impressed with what he's doing.
- 45:07[SPEAKER_02]: He's emerging.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_02]: He's emerging as an elite young talent at the heading back.
- 45:13[SPEAKER_06]: It's we're going to beat the crap out of them.
- 45:14[SPEAKER_06]: If once was able to dice up this D a rod will
- 45:20[SPEAKER_06]: The lack of pressure on Carson Wentz today was worrisome.
- 45:26[SPEAKER_06]: I will say this, it's a division game at Pittsburgh, like obviously we'll probably lose, but I expected to be like a tough game.
- 45:33[SPEAKER_06]: Like I'll probably, I expected to be low scoring.
- 45:36[SPEAKER_06]: I'm sure it'll come down to like a turnover.
- 45:38[SPEAKER_06]: We'll turn the ball over late and lose by three.
- 45:40[SPEAKER_06]: I'm just calling it now, but no, it's the, like you said, the defense kind of slipwalk in the first quarter.
- 45:50[SPEAKER_06]: And then even for the game, they averaged 4.2 yards per character, they just didn't attempt to run it quite as much.
- 45:59[SPEAKER_06]: They were throwing the ball up because they were starting to throw the ball over the field in the fourth quarter, but they ran the ball right down our throats.
- 46:06[SPEAKER_06]: If they would have ran the ball 35 times, I mean, they would have ran for 150 yard skins.
- 46:11[SPEAKER_02]: Think about this, too.
- 46:13[SPEAKER_02]: I told Josh, I'm like, the half is ending and I'm going Max Brosmer or something like that is getting ready to come in.
- 46:19[SPEAKER_02]: I don't even know if I said his name right, but then, you know, you have Carson Wentz coming out with a banged up shoulder.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_02]: He diced us up.
- 46:28[SPEAKER_02]: He diced us up.
- 46:29[SPEAKER_06]: We couldn't tackle him.
- 46:30[SPEAKER_06]: Like even if we got close, you'd spin him over something like we got to.
- 46:33[SPEAKER_06]: We ended up getting to him twice.
- 46:35[SPEAKER_06]: They're in the second half.
- 46:36[SPEAKER_06]: But it was just not the dominant defensive performance I was expecting.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_06]: And again, you only gave up 21 points.
- 46:41[SPEAKER_06]: You got to score a more in 17 if you want to win games.
- 46:44[SPEAKER_06]: But like man, you had the chance to win.
- 46:48[SPEAKER_06]: Like we've heard miles talk about it.
- 46:50[SPEAKER_06]: Like I want that pressure.
- 46:52[SPEAKER_06]: I want to be on the field at the chance.
- 46:54[SPEAKER_06]: Like you had your moment.
- 46:56[SPEAKER_06]: you had your moment to be on the field to ice the game and you let them go just right down that like it was like they were going on air.
- 47:05[SPEAKER_02]: I told Josh I was like if you would have told me Gabriel would have had two touchdowns and no picks.
- 47:12[SPEAKER_02]: Quenchango's crazy and then the defense forces to turnovers.
- 47:15[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 47:16[SPEAKER_02]: What do we, what do your guests would be?
- 47:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we probably won this game like maybe decisively, you know, unless it's a, we're chewed out like all the stats were in our favor, except for penalties, you know?
- 47:29[SPEAKER_06]: Let me up, let me up it even more for you.
- 47:32[SPEAKER_06]: If I told you, Dylan had two touchdowns, no turnovers, quench on rush for, you know, 100 yards or had 100 all purpose yards, whatever it was, we had a lead with two and a half minutes to go with the defense on the field and they had to go 80 yards.
- 47:46[SPEAKER_06]: I guarantee you, everybody on this show and everybody watching would have said, oh, that's a Browns win.
- 47:52[SPEAKER_03]: and here we go again we can reference back to that jets game the famous jets game from a few years ago when it was up to scores under two minutes ago they had what no time out's left yeah we're we're winning by thirteen jubb ran it in yeah yeah the only time he ever did he always used to just go out of bounds like at the one or slides yeah he scored that one

- 50:00[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I got Stacy here.
- 50:01[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, that was a tough loss for sure.
- 50:04[SPEAKER_08]: I think what made it so tough was the fact that we were in it up until the last last second So anyways, I think the biggest thing I have to say about this game is what is it with rounds quarterbacks and us not being able to throw the ball more than
- 50:22[SPEAKER_08]: 10, 15 yards like as buyer we it seems like we're the only team whose quarter of that cannot throw the ball down the field like I just don't understand and and maybe it's because of we have no offensive line or maybe it's because we have no receivers.
- 50:37[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, I'm sure it's a combination of the two, but I just I just don't understand.
- 50:42[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, we have at least somewhat competent receivers like Isaiah Bond, I think he's a good receiver.
- 50:48[SPEAKER_08]: Like we're going to tell me that with him with his speed, you can't get him open down the field.
- 50:53[SPEAKER_08]: even with Jerry drafts to deal like you can't get him open.
- 50:56[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know.
- 50:57[SPEAKER_08]: This team and this offense is just frustrating and I don't like I said is it the offensive line is it that receivers or I mean is it time to look at the coaching, you know?
- 51:08[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know.
- 51:09[SPEAKER_08]: What do you guys think?
- 51:11[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, so as far as like passing down field, it's been a long time, like 20, 23 Joe Flacco.
- 51:19[SPEAKER_02]: And there was a lot of things working our favor.
- 51:20[SPEAKER_02]: You had an elite number one rivalry receiver in a Mari Cooper, and yet a guy that was able to chuck it, he regressed to that point this year.
- 51:29[SPEAKER_02]: The problem is, we said it a million times.
- 51:31[SPEAKER_02]: There's no deep threat.
- 51:32[SPEAKER_02]: There's no guy that can take the top off the defense.
- 51:34[SPEAKER_02]: So everything short, everything's just real vanilla.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_06]: and everybody has to be white open because we don't have a guy on the team where like he's got a step before it to him.
- 51:46[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I mean?
- 51:46[SPEAKER_06]: Like we or hey they're right on top they're he's covered but this guy's just better than everybody so I throw it up let him go hype.
- 51:53[SPEAKER_06]: David Joke is probably the closest thing we have to that in the red zone.
- 51:57[SPEAKER_06]: We don't have like I think I say a bond can be really nice but he's he's not a number one.
- 52:03[SPEAKER_06]: you know what I mean like we don't we don't have a number one like what's the biggest difference in this offense between now twenty twenty three you just said it I'm very Cooper like it look how much just having one guy that can beat man to man coverage does for your team just we just had one
- 52:21[SPEAKER_06]: and then look how much he opens up everything else because of that, that is why I want the offense to get more creative.
- 52:29[SPEAKER_06]: I wouldn't even mind if they brought in another guy to call place.
- 52:31[SPEAKER_06]: That's not Ken Dorsey and Kevin just beat the CEO head coach.
- 52:35[SPEAKER_06]: I've talked about that, but to say that this offense can't put up points or at least be above average,
- 52:42[SPEAKER_06]: We had one quarterback who is off the couch, but could still throw it a little bit and we had one wide receiver.
- 52:49[SPEAKER_06]: And this offense put up 30 points of game and 300 yards pass in every single game.
- 52:54[SPEAKER_06]: Like, and we just don't have one.
- 52:56[SPEAKER_06]: Jerry, Jerry Judy, Jerry Judy's not good.
- 53:01[SPEAKER_06]: He's an entire career.
- 53:05[SPEAKER_06]: He's not been good and he had a what five games stretch last year with James Winston.
- 53:10[SPEAKER_06]: where he was good and everything before that and everything after that was bad and he still led the league and drops last year.
- 53:17[SPEAKER_06]: Like, we just need one.
- 53:20[SPEAKER_06]: Gage Tucker in the Discourse been all year.
- 53:22[SPEAKER_06]: Next, first four picks next year needs to be two wide receivers, two offensive linemen.
- 53:26[SPEAKER_06]: And you have to hit on them.
- 53:28[SPEAKER_06]: Because it's just, it's a player's league, man.
- 53:31[SPEAKER_06]: Like you gotta have players.
- 53:33[SPEAKER_06]: And...
- 53:36[SPEAKER_06]: It's bad.
- 53:36[SPEAKER_06]: And if Jerry Judy does get open, and Dylan, people were saying the throw to Jerry Judy early was low, what it had to be low, because if he hits him and stride in the chest, the safety is going to decapitate him.
- 53:46[SPEAKER_06]: It was like in the perfect spot.
- 53:48[SPEAKER_06]: You kept him safe.
- 53:49[SPEAKER_06]: It's a first down, and he didn't get his hands on it.
- 53:52[SPEAKER_06]: It literally went right through his arms and hit him in the chest and fell to the ground.
- 53:56[SPEAKER_06]: Your professional wide receiver.
- 54:00[SPEAKER_03]: That isn't an easy catch for who you're supposed to be your top-wide receiver.
- 54:06[SPEAKER_03]: That's an easy catch.
- 54:07[SPEAKER_03]: Should've been.
- 54:09[SPEAKER_06]: Yes.
- 54:10[SPEAKER_06]: That's why I like.
- 54:12[SPEAKER_06]: That's why I give the scheme and stuff like that, we'll say a pass, even though I want it to get more creative.
- 54:21[SPEAKER_06]: But this offense we've seen be a top 15 offense.
- 54:24[SPEAKER_06]: If we had a top 15 offense to go with this defense, how many wins would we have right now?
- 54:29[SPEAKER_06]: We just need something.
- 54:32[SPEAKER_06]: And we can't throw it down field too, Stacy, because like we mentioned, we can't block anybody at all.
- 54:39[SPEAKER_06]: Not for, like we can't do
- 54:41[SPEAKER_06]: a five-step drop, a seven-step drop to let a play develop.
- 54:44[SPEAKER_06]: Leveston is terrible, terrible.
- 54:49[SPEAKER_06]: Jack Conklin just got back this week.
- 54:51[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, we were, we might as well just, had ghost tackles.
- 54:55[SPEAKER_06]: We might as well just told the defense events for the other team like it was a two-hand tap in it yet a count to five before you can blitz only that they only had a count to two because we might as well not even put players out there that's how bad the tackle situation is be has been and I saw like Quincy after Joe's last game last week
- 55:15[SPEAKER_06]: he was like he's he watched the game like they all 22 and he was like Joe's just bad to like their people open there's things open Joe just wasn't hitting them wasn't thrown to them can't move all that good stuff that's why i don't want to say it's like i'm patient with the scheme in the coaching because
- 55:34[SPEAKER_06]: with we don't have any players to put it in.
- 55:37[SPEAKER_06]: Everybody wants to talk about how great the Vikings were, scheming, scheming is a lot easier with an all-pro-wide receiver.
- 55:45[SPEAKER_06]: But one is arguably the best-wide receiver in football, in a top five tight end, and probably the best number two-wide receiver in football on Jordan Addison, at least like a top five-number two receiver, scheming gets a lot easier in that situation.
- 55:59[SPEAKER_02]: What do you, uh, what do you guys think about Cam Robinson, like, I know he came in for what he put to the series.
- 56:05[SPEAKER_02]: What?
- 56:05[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, two or a whole bunch of these two penalties.
- 56:07[SPEAKER_02]: Two penalties.
- 56:08[SPEAKER_02]: I think two false starts.
- 56:10[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if they said it was a guy, yeah, they said it was more of like a he wasn't used to the like the snap count and stuff like that and We've been your got him.
- 56:18[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, we just got him in but I think if he wasn't ready We probably shouldn't have been sticking to him in there honestly, but Leveston was bad.
- 56:26[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, when they said he was starting today.
- 56:28[SPEAKER_03]: I was kind of shocked
- 56:31[SPEAKER_02]: It was at the point of going to go to Lucas, you know, like, he wasn't even going to see was so fresh.
- 56:35[SPEAKER_02]: Oh shit.
- 56:35[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, okay.
- 56:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I didn't even know.
- 56:39[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, him and, of course, Zinter was an active again.
- 56:41[SPEAKER_03]: I'm like, how bad do you have to be on this offensive line to not be active that healthy scratch?
- 56:48[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 56:50[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, this guy says, I'm smoking crack saying this offense could be top 15 the league top 15 if it isn't it's
- 57:00[SPEAKER_06]: When we had Baker Mayfield in competent Joe Flacco, it's been top 15 both those years.
- 57:07[SPEAKER_06]: So it's a not smoking crack actually.
- 57:10[SPEAKER_06]: I'm using historical context.
- 57:13[SPEAKER_06]: Let's see, the coaching is an issue, idiot.
- 57:18[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, we'll see.
- 57:19[SPEAKER_06]: Let's see, whatever, I don't care.
- 57:24[SPEAKER_06]: But do we have any others at the last voice mail?
- 57:27[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, that was last one.
- 57:28[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, Andy did send a second one in kind of reiterating his point on the coaching, but if we don't want to go down that down that path again, we don't need to
- 57:38[SPEAKER_06]: Again, if I would, I've been on here talking about how I went the offense to get more creative last season.
- 57:45[SPEAKER_06]: But I also, there's a thing called like context and looking at things.
- 57:49[SPEAKER_06]: When you build a team around a guy who doesn't play anymore, you don't, and then you're still trying to get out of that, like under the hole from that.
- 57:57[SPEAKER_06]: Like this isn't going to be the year that I butcher the coaching staff.
- 58:01[SPEAKER_06]: Like, we have one more win than I thought we were going to get all year.
- 58:04[SPEAKER_06]: So, like, I don't know, maybe I'm just realistic in terms of what the expectations were for this season.
- 58:10[SPEAKER_03]: Can I ask you like, a legitimate question, how many years will or do you expect it to take to get out from under the Deshawn Watson trade?
- 58:22[SPEAKER_03]: Because I feel like a lot of people blame everything on that.
- 58:26[SPEAKER_03]: So, like, when is a good time to start looking at other parties?
- 58:31[SPEAKER_06]: Well, one, you're still solidly under it right now.
- 58:34[SPEAKER_03]: But, well, that's why I'm saying like, how long is it going to take?
- 58:37[SPEAKER_03]: Until we have three first round picks again?
- 58:39[SPEAKER_06]: No, I think.
- 58:41[SPEAKER_06]: If we have another hit it out of the park draft next year.
- 58:46[SPEAKER_06]: like in or free agency and like we need we need a left tackle we need a right tackle you don't it like you can't how it's just like how it's tough to judge a quarterback when he's not doesn't have any players it's tough to get judge a coach when he doesn't have any players I get that but and then like that you know the free agency thing see this is this I guess this is where like my concern with this whole losing culture and being foreign 20 and sucking ass every week what free agents want to come here I look at your records and they say you guys have won five games in the last two years on the
- 59:16[SPEAKER_06]: I still think that they are respected around the league.
- 59:22[SPEAKER_06]: Another fair with every season might not everybody knows what the shonset this franchise back five years probably, we talked about, we built the team around the guy and then he couldn't play.
- 59:38[SPEAKER_06]: We didn't, we gave him all this money.
- 59:40[SPEAKER_06]: We said, we don't need any top 10 ride receivers.
- 59:43[SPEAKER_06]: We don't need any of this stuff.
- 59:44[SPEAKER_06]: We don't need the world's best offensive line.
- 59:46[SPEAKER_06]: Because we have an all-we're going to have an all-pro-quarter back who makes everybody around him better.
- 59:50[SPEAKER_06]: He doesn't need the best line because he's going to be able to run around and make plays.
- 59:53[SPEAKER_06]: He doesn't need the best receivers.
- 59:55[SPEAKER_06]: Look, he led the league in receiving with, what was the guy's name in Houston?
- 1:00:00[SPEAKER_06]: Will Fuller.
- 1:00:01[SPEAKER_06]: Yes, his number one.
- 1:00:03[SPEAKER_06]: And then we brought him here.
- 1:00:04[SPEAKER_06]: And he couldn't figure out how to throw the ball
- 1:00:08[SPEAKER_06]: and then he doesn't play ever and we've been forced to play with backup quarterbacks and backup talent since since then we have we have yet to be able to put out a competent starting quarterback.
- 1:00:19[SPEAKER_06]: Look, go back and look at our quarterbacks since the Sean's been here.
- 1:00:23[SPEAKER_06]: PJ Walker, Case Keynote, Jacoby Brissette, now rookie Dylan Gabriel 41-year-old Joe Flacco, no coach is winning with those quarterbacks.
- 1:00:36[SPEAKER_06]: None, and then you pair those guys with Jerry Judy as your one, there isn't a coach that's winning with that.
- 1:00:44[SPEAKER_06]: So I'm just, like I just wanted to talk.
- 1:00:47[SPEAKER_06]: I'm saying, not like if we, like so if we come out next year and like we're expected to be good.
- 1:00:54[SPEAKER_06]: Let's say we add three new offensive linemen in free agency, we draft Carnal Tate, Dylan Gabriel or Shodor Shodor has an entire off season to learn the offense.
- 1:01:03[SPEAKER_06]: And we come out next year,
- 1:01:05[SPEAKER_06]: and also we're not we don't start the season with the absolute hardest schedule anybody's had in recent memory.
- 1:01:11[SPEAKER_06]: And we're in the offense still looks like it's stuck in mud.
- 1:01:15[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, then we can talk.
- 1:01:16[SPEAKER_06]: I'm just not gonna hold it against the guy who up until his team was destroyed by the worst trade in the history of football was a winning football coach.
- 1:01:26[SPEAKER_06]: was a two-time coach of the year and then they completely tank their roster for one guy and then we want then Kevin's got to sit up there in front of everybody and answer for how bad the offensive football team is we watched this this guy had a better winning percentage than Kyle Shayna hand did at the start of last season.
- 1:01:45[SPEAKER_06]: and by calcini, he gets to coach six all pros on the offensive side of the ball and we have Jamari thrash catching passes for us.
- 1:01:55[SPEAKER_06]: So that's where I'm like until it's a level playing field and with some talent on the offensive side of the ball, I don't believe a coach in this league would be good with this offensive talent because I watch other coaches in this league be bad.
- 1:02:11[SPEAKER_06]: with way better talent.
- 1:02:13[SPEAKER_06]: It's a tailor-cant score point.
- 1:02:14[SPEAKER_06]: It is a Jamar chase, chase brown, tea higgins, Mike Gosecki, and they can't score points in Cincinnati.
- 1:02:26[SPEAKER_06]: So it's hard to evaluate that.
- 1:02:28[SPEAKER_06]: You watch the guy be a winning coach.
- 1:02:31[SPEAKER_06]: and make the playoffs for each twice, roster gets tanked.
- 1:02:34[SPEAKER_06]: Tell me the coach that would win with the quarterbacks in the offensive time we've had the last.
- 1:02:37[SPEAKER_03]: I think, well, I think to your like you mentioned Shanahan.
- 1:02:40[SPEAKER_03]: I think to a lot of like a lot of people watch the Thursday game and think.
- 1:02:44[SPEAKER_03]: man, nobody had the 49ers with a chance to win that game against a good divisional opponent on the road.
- 1:02:50[SPEAKER_03]: You have none of your guys on offense.
- 1:02:52[SPEAKER_03]: None of them.
- 1:02:52[SPEAKER_03]: You're star pass rushers out.
- 1:02:53[SPEAKER_03]: Your quarterback's out.
- 1:02:55[SPEAKER_06]: No, but still Christian McCaffer.
- 1:02:57[SPEAKER_03]: We see when Sean Judkins.
- 1:02:59[SPEAKER_03]: They still can't win.
- 1:03:00[SPEAKER_06]: Better in Quinsha.
- 1:03:01[SPEAKER_06]: They lost.
- 1:03:01[SPEAKER_03]: I'm just saying you had one playmaker.
- 1:03:04[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 1:03:04[SPEAKER_03]: What to do?
- 1:03:05[SPEAKER_03]: They still won the game.
- 1:03:06[SPEAKER_06]: They're in their backup quarterback as a former first round draft pick.
- 1:03:11[SPEAKER_06]: And now you're in my Jones guy they just lost the week before at home to Jacksonville So like talk about the resency biased and they're an extra point away if the Rams don't miss an extra point.
- 1:03:24[SPEAKER_06]: They lose If we're not talking about how he went on the road when to game the Rams lost that game more than the Niners won it I'm just saying we lose we lose way more or 4 and 20
- 1:03:40[SPEAKER_06]: I get that.
- 1:03:41[SPEAKER_06]: I get that.
- 1:03:41[SPEAKER_06]: But there's there's reasons to being foreign 20 and in most of it is we don't have good football players on our team.
- 1:03:47[SPEAKER_03]: So we have one of the favorite football players on the defense.
- 1:03:50[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:03:50[SPEAKER_03]: So if you want to keep saying like 14 sucks like no, no, we have we haven't.
- 1:03:55[SPEAKER_03]: Well, for today was number one defense in the league.
- 1:03:58[SPEAKER_03]: We have good players.
- 1:03:59[SPEAKER_03]: We have people say we don't have any money.
- 1:04:01[SPEAKER_03]: We paid everybody we wanted to pay.
- 1:04:02[SPEAKER_03]: We've extended everybody.
- 1:04:03[SPEAKER_03]: We gave Miles Garrett the highest non-court back contract in the photos.
- 1:04:06[SPEAKER_03]: Like we have money.
- 1:04:07[SPEAKER_03]: The offense was the highest paid offense last year.
- 1:04:09[SPEAKER_03]: And the league.
- 1:04:11[SPEAKER_03]: You know, I just, whether you're, you don't want to put the blame on Kevin or Abe, people making decisions within this organizations, this organization have f-ed up the offense aside the ball.
- 1:04:24[SPEAKER_03]: Those, those people have made these decisions.
- 1:04:27[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm mad about it.
- 1:04:32[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, but he's still even if even if the Sean were still playing for us, this would be our offensive line.
- 1:04:37[SPEAKER_03]: This would be our answer.
- 1:04:38[SPEAKER_06]: He was supposed to be good enough to overcome that stuff.
- 1:04:42[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 1:04:44[SPEAKER_06]: He it's he conned us essentially and set the franchise back.
- 1:04:48[SPEAKER_06]: Remember when people said if he's not good, your franchise is going to be set back for years and we all said, no, we'll be fine.
- 1:04:53[SPEAKER_06]: We were wrong.
- 1:04:56[SPEAKER_06]: because turns out when you deplete the roster to build around a guy who can't play, you're gonna be screwed until you can get out from underneath all that money.
- 1:05:05[SPEAKER_03]: So, and that goes back to why I just don't think it's a year away.
- 1:05:09[SPEAKER_03]: I hope I'm wrong, I do.
- 1:05:10[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not saying this cause I wanted to be true.
- 1:05:12[SPEAKER_03]: I'm just like, I'm looking at the situation going, I just, I don't know.
- 1:05:17[SPEAKER_06]: We got pieces, man.
- 1:05:19[SPEAKER_06]: We got pieces.
- 1:05:19[SPEAKER_06]: That's why I'm not that frustrated with this year.
- 1:05:21[SPEAKER_03]: But you just said, I don't.
- 1:05:22[SPEAKER_03]: You said the whole thing's depleted, no, it sucks.
- 1:05:25[SPEAKER_03]: like there's you have a good you have a fan and you have juggkins but they're rookies and there's only three or four of them it's eleven guys on offense and it's up front and it's think about the years that we had like i don't know i mean we had like young david and and chub and baker and some of those guys and it's a lot of work i know i'm saying but it didn't like it didn't so it didn't work because we didn't do anything no they got hurt and then we don't have for many more
- 1:05:55[SPEAKER_06]: That's my point.
- 1:05:55[SPEAKER_06]: We had a young healthy baker one season, want to play off game in Pittsburgh, and we had a revitalized Joe Flacco for a season, went to the playoffs.
- 1:06:04[SPEAKER_06]: Look at the years we've been bad, and tell me, do you think we could have won games with anybody else?
- 1:06:11[SPEAKER_06]: Do you think, be honest, if we had a different head coach right now, would the Browns have more than one win?
- 1:06:20[SPEAKER_03]: Right, oh, with this team?
- 1:06:20[SPEAKER_03]: Right now.
- 1:06:22[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 1:06:23[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, like I said, no, you, prop, no.
- 1:06:25[SPEAKER_03]: You don't think?
- 1:06:26[SPEAKER_03]: No.
- 1:06:27[SPEAKER_06]: I just know it.
- 1:06:29[SPEAKER_03]: Now, maybe if we, not against that variable, defense week one, I mean, the thing that's pissing me off too is how bad the ravens are.
- 1:06:34[SPEAKER_03]: And we got smoked.
- 1:06:36[SPEAKER_03]: We scored three legitimate points against them.
- 1:06:38[SPEAKER_03]: And they're giving it up to everybody.
- 1:06:39[SPEAKER_06]: Maybe if we didn't have such a tough schedule to start the season, too.
- 1:06:44[SPEAKER_06]: Like it would have been nice to not start with, like,
- 1:06:51[SPEAKER_06]: Ravens, Packers, Lions, Vikings, like we're playing all playoff teams for a year ago, essentially.
- 1:07:01[SPEAKER_03]: No, not the Bengals and Rape.
- 1:07:02[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I've learned a year ago, okay, but I'm saying like now, this is what it's tough about schedule watching two at the beginning.
- 1:07:07[SPEAKER_03]: The season now your five games in, you're like, well, the Ravens are one and four.
- 1:07:10[SPEAKER_03]: The Bengals are what two and three.
- 1:07:12[SPEAKER_03]: Like, these aren't good teams this year.
- 1:07:18[SPEAKER_03]: Just, I don't know, they just said.
- 1:07:21[SPEAKER_06]: But like, that's my point right there.
- 1:07:23[SPEAKER_06]: So, but like, you agreed like, if we had a different head coach, arguably probably wouldn't have any more wins.
- 1:07:30[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I think we could, I think we definitely had when we would have had a better chance of being the bangles.
- 1:07:35[SPEAKER_03]: I think, and I know you don't agree.
- 1:07:38[SPEAKER_03]: I don't believe in Kevin's offense anymore.
- 1:07:39[SPEAKER_03]: I just don't.
- 1:07:40[SPEAKER_03]: I just don't.
- 1:07:42[SPEAKER_06]: I just think you're making that decision off.
- 1:07:44[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know what your logic is.
- 1:07:48[SPEAKER_06]: Yes, but you can't just box score watch.
- 1:07:50[SPEAKER_03]: That's not box score watching.
- 1:07:52[SPEAKER_03]: That's the record.
- 1:07:54[SPEAKER_06]: You have to look at the pieces you're putting in the offense.
- 1:07:58[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 1:07:58[SPEAKER_03]: I'm just saying, I think a better head coach, a better offensive system could get you more than four wins in two years.
- 1:08:06[SPEAKER_06]: I just don't.
- 1:08:07[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 1:08:07[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, that's fine.
- 1:08:08[SPEAKER_06]: But I watched a guy who's coaching pretty well last year not be able to coach with the quarterback.
- 1:08:12[SPEAKER_06]: We expected Kevin to win with the first four weeks.
- 1:08:15[SPEAKER_06]: with way other better skill positions around him.
- 1:08:20[SPEAKER_06]: That coach is going to win coach of the year.
- 1:08:21[SPEAKER_06]: They're sure probably and he couldn't, he couldn't score or win and was almost fired for playing the same quarterback.
- 1:08:27[SPEAKER_06]: We're all shooting on Kevin for not being able to score with.
- 1:08:31[SPEAKER_03]: And he still had, I don't even know you're talking about.
- 1:08:32[SPEAKER_06]: Shane Stiken.
- 1:08:34[SPEAKER_06]: And we, and they still had Pittman, Jonathan Taylor, they're offensive line, all that stuff.
- 1:08:39[SPEAKER_06]: And they couldn't score with Joe Flacco.
- 1:08:43[SPEAKER_06]: and then that's the coach that now we want Kevin to be able to put up points with that same player.
- 1:08:50[SPEAKER_06]: That's stiking couldn't score with with all those weapons.
- 1:08:53[SPEAKER_06]: It's just not realistic.
- 1:08:55[SPEAKER_03]: And let's see how things go with Dylan and then you know if they don't work out, we'll see how things go with Shador.
- 1:09:02[SPEAKER_06]: I'm just we're going long here, but as much as Dylan, like, played okay today, I want to see Shador eventually.
- 1:09:09[SPEAKER_06]: because I want to see us push the ball down the field.
- 1:09:12[SPEAKER_06]: I thought, I thought dealing with solid, but I definitely thought you could tell us, like, his throwing angle and stuff sometimes, I think his height is an issue.
- 1:09:20[SPEAKER_06]: They say they don't see it, but you definitely see it.
- 1:09:24[SPEAKER_06]: In some of those old townfield throws?
- 1:09:26[SPEAKER_06]: Yes.
- 1:09:27[SPEAKER_02]: Behind that one.
- 1:09:28[SPEAKER_02]: Hi, I miss this.
- 1:09:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 1:09:29[SPEAKER_06]: Because he's got to like release the ball.
- 1:09:31[SPEAKER_06]: Like, I don't know.
- 1:09:33[SPEAKER_02]: Did you guys see the end of the game when he hugged Carson Williams?
- 1:09:37[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, yes.
- 1:09:38[SPEAKER_02]: Whoa.
- 1:09:39[SPEAKER_06]: Bro, as much as he was meeting a Michael Wish kid or something.
- 1:09:42[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, bro.
- 1:09:43[SPEAKER_06]: He was, that's what I'm saying.
- 1:09:44[SPEAKER_06]: And like,
- 1:09:48[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, Dylan, to me, it looked like a serviceable guy who can come in and run an offense where there wasn't much like, there was a much wild factor there, not much difference maker from what I could see.
- 1:10:00[SPEAKER_06]: Again, it was the first game against a very good defensive coordinator in a top three past defensive, I think you guys said.
- 1:10:07[SPEAKER_06]: So, I'm not going to, let's see how he looks going forward, but I'm ready for
- 1:10:13[SPEAKER_06]: I'm ready to see Shador out there with a little bit of size, moving a little bit, pushing the ball down the field, and see what we can do.
- 1:10:21[SPEAKER_02]: But that's shitty offensive line.
- 1:10:24[SPEAKER_06]: So why isn't that rock and roll?
- 1:10:25[SPEAKER_02]: I just see for core.
- 1:10:27[SPEAKER_06]: I just probably want to see, should do a running around backwards, trying to not get murdered.
- 1:10:31[SPEAKER_06]: But maybe he'll throw it deeper a couple of times.
- 1:10:34[SPEAKER_06]: But all right, we'll wrap this thing up.
- 1:10:37[SPEAKER_06]: We appreciate it.
- 1:10:38[SPEAKER_06]: But 243 of you guys in here watching us.
