- 0:05You guys have your Bibles. Hold on, too tight.
- 0:09We're still in Isaiah today and we're going to be staying here,
- 0:12perhaps for a little bit longer than anticipated, which is
- 0:15totally okay. But just to recap since we
- 0:19weren't together and Bible Study last week, we've been
- 0:21discovering something about the person of Jesus Christ.
- 0:26According to Isaiah and two weeks ago, we discussed Isaiah
- 0:31describing the Messiah as the anointed one and every song that
- 0:35we sang was, so fitting to where we're going tonight, when we
- 0:39realize the depth of the power compassion, Mercy that Jesus
- 0:46possessed. It's quite astounding.
- 0:50And just for the sake of review, go to Isaiah 61 As Jesus was
- 0:58anointed with the Holy Spirit was anointed for a specific
- 1:01task. And we see here in Isaiah 61
- 1:05verse one, that Jesus was anointed to do what to bring
- 1:09good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the
- 1:13Brokenhearted to Proclaim, Liberty to the captives, and the
- 1:17opening of the prison to those who are bound.
- 1:20And even as we were singing reflecting on these things, that
- 1:23he comes for the poor in spirit that he comes for those who are
- 1:26brokenhearted, that he comes for those that are bound in sin.
- 1:29Held captive, I realized something.
- 1:33That there is nothing within yourself or myself that can
- 1:36bring us to a place of Victory and Liberty apart from him.
- 1:40Only, he has been anointed to perform these things and if it's
- 1:45not for Jesus Christ, we are doomed.
- 1:48If it's not for Jesus Christ, We Are Forever bound.
- 1:51If it's not for Jesus Christ, We Are Forever broken.
- 1:54Hearted if it's not for Jesus Christ, We Are Forever held
- 1:56captive, if it's not for Jesus Christ, there is no good news,
- 2:01only, he has the Good news only. He has the power to set free
- 2:05only. He has the mercy and the love to
- 2:07heal the broken hearted. It doesn't end there because
- 2:09he's been anointed to do even further things, you go to Isaiah
- 2:1242. This is just all review, Isaiah
- 2:1542, Verse 1. Where God speaks about his son
- 2:22and says, behold my servant. Whom I uphold my chosen in whom
- 2:26my soul Delights, I have put my spirit upon him.
- 2:31You bring forth Justice to the nation's and here it is.
- 2:34He will not cry aloud or lift up his voice or make it hurt in the
- 2:37street, a bruised Reed, he will not break, and a faintly burning
- 2:41Wick, he will not quench again. You and I can get so damaged and
- 2:47discourage and life. And there's not enough.
- 2:50Positive thinking, there's not enough pep talk and there's not
- 2:54enough psychology to bring us to a place of wholeness, but
- 2:57somebody's been anointed. To bind us.
- 3:01And not only that. Look at this, this might
- 3:03encourage us. even when we are in a place of being faintly
- 3:08burning, if our light is dimming, if our passion is being
- 3:11lost, We can call upon him to rekindle that fire because he's
- 3:17been anointed to do it. Do you see how we can rely on
- 3:22him for so much? Do you see how everything about
- 3:26the Holy Spirit empowering him is for our good.
- 3:30As for our good, this is exactly what were realizing today.
- 3:33Because if you think for a moment that this is something,
- 3:35we're just studying and it's not something that we can experience
- 3:38in this Bible studies futile, My prayer, and we're going to pray
- 3:42in a moment. Our prayers should be Lord.
- 3:44As we study you, I need to experience what I'm about to
- 3:46realize. And what we need to do is call
- 3:49upon the anointed one to walk in this place and to touch to touch
- 3:54our hearts. And he's willing to do it.
- 3:57If we realize that, he alone can do it, would you buy our heads
- 4:01as we pray? Father, we thank you for this
- 4:11book because it's a supernatural book.
- 4:13It reveals your heart of reveals your power, reveals your son and
- 4:18Lord in this place. We do not need to hear from man.
- 4:21We don't need to hear mere opinion.
- 4:23We don't need to hear clever thoughts.
- 4:25We just need the raw truth of your word empowered by the Holy
- 4:28Spirit, to penetrate our hearts and to bring us to a place of
- 4:33experiencing what we are studying.
- 4:35So Lord even now Would you come and set free every distracted
- 4:41mind and every person that's so emotionally stirred up that they
- 4:45can't settle in their soul and Lord.
- 4:48Right now we plead with you that for the sake of our good and
- 4:51more importantly for the sake of your glory revealed, the
- 4:54anointed one to us and let us be caught up in him though.
- 4:59We pray that we would even be raptured with the Revelation
- 5:02that we are going to discover tonight and that Lord.
- 5:05Again, we need The anointed one to speak.
- 5:10So let your Holy Spirit, Come. Lord hear the hearts of your
- 5:16people that are hungry for bread.
- 5:18Men Are from heaven and Lord for those in here that are sitting
- 5:22in the seats for the wrong reason and you know them very
- 5:25well. We know that you were gracious
- 5:29enough. To even realign motives.
- 5:35Even despite false intentions touch and bless and renew.
- 5:41And we ask that you would do that because we know you were
- 5:44that good. We pray these things in Jesus
- 5:46name. Amen.
- 5:49The anointing of Jesus Christ. Does it end in Isaiah 61?
- 5:54Is it limited to Isaiah 42? Is there not more to the measure
- 5:58of the spirit of God that has been given to Christ, which is
- 6:01really without measure Isaiah chapter 11.
- 6:04That's our text tonight. Isaiah chapter 11.
- 6:14Because this anointing that was Upon Jesus.
- 6:19Implies much greater truth than what we've already discovered.
- 6:28This might be some review for the first two verses, but it
- 6:31will do us some good. So here's here's Isaiah.
- 6:34Now, a profit envisioning, something about this suffering
- 6:39servant, that's going to come. The Gospel, According to Isaiah
- 6:42discovering Jesus, according to this Old Testament st.
- 6:47And this is what he sees, he sees visually symbolically that
- 6:50there shall come forth a shoot from the stump of Jesse and a
- 6:55branch from his roots, shall bear fruit.
- 6:58Now they just stop there. We've talked about this before
- 7:00when we went through Isaiah 53. But let's review.
- 7:03So this is what he's seeing. He's seeing a stump a tree
- 7:06that's cut off, almost to the very bottom of its trunk.
- 7:10And he sees a little shoot that's coming out of it.
- 7:13And what he sees is that this stump symbolizes The Descendants
- 7:18and the ancestry of Jesse and the Chute comes out, which is
- 7:23something that's very important for us to understand because it
- 7:25speaks of when we think of trees in the Bible.
- 7:27Remember, this is not random poll.
- 7:28Language there's symbolism. And if you really want to know
- 7:31how to interpret a symbol the Bible interprets, the Bible,
- 7:36Scripture interprets scripture. You'll be amazed that if you
- 7:40even look at a book like Revelation, you'll find many
- 7:42answers in the Book of Daniel to what these horns meet and what
- 7:45these Waters mean, it's all there.
- 7:47And this is why we can't just pick and choose what books we
- 7:50want to read. We got to scale through all of
- 7:51scripture because you're going to find answers in one book that
- 7:53are unlock things in another book when we think of a tree and
- 7:57it's right context. Even in the chapter before this
- 8:00chapter 11. He talks about cutting down a
- 8:02tree, which symbolizes a kingdom, which symbolizes a
- 8:06Dynasty which symbolizes a a rain of a specific person, or a
- 8:10specific nation. And so when we talk about the
- 8:12stump of Jesse, what we're talking about is the davidic
- 8:15dynasty where David became king and God had made an eternal
- 8:20Covenant with David. That there will be a king that
- 8:21will reign on his throne forever more.
- 8:24But at one point in history because not of David necessarily
- 8:27but his descendants. Have you ever read 1st Kings and
- 8:29second Kings? What you see is failure after
- 8:32failure almost with a perfect record though.
- 8:34There was some faithful ones that have continually sinned
- 8:37against God and have brought the dynasty of David almost to a
- 8:41place of non-existence. And for 600 years, there was no
- 8:45King to rule on the throne of David so that tree was cut off.
- 8:50There was nobody raining an authority for a long period of
- 8:53time. And it offers sudden Isaiah goes
- 8:56into a vision, he's receiving a word from the Lord and he sees
- 8:59what apparently seems to be dead because I one time David's
- 9:02Dynasty. David's kingdom, was a mighty
- 9:04tree that was providing righteousness and Justice to
- 9:08those who found shelter underneath that tree didn't last
- 9:11very long unfortunate. and all the book of First Kings and
- 9:16second Kings, really teaches us is that there's only one
- 9:18faithful King and he's going to come one day and he did come but
- 9:23he sees this little shoot coming out life And what he's seeing
- 9:28here is the Revival of the davidic, kingship and Rain.
- 9:34What he's seeing is the restoration of what seem to be
- 9:37so dormant, and almost dead for hundreds of years is about to
- 9:41spring up to life again. And that is so significant
- 9:45because God had made a promise to David.
- 9:47That there would be somebody that will rule on his throne
- 9:50forever and ever and ever. And it seems as though, God
- 9:53didn't fulfill this promise but all for a sudden, Isaiah gives a
- 9:56word And he says, no, it's coming.
- 9:59And as he comes up, we see that he is fulfilling a promise and
- 10:05it's a powerful promise, not only this profit but Amos 911.
- 10:09If we can put up, Amos 911 to see how another Prophet speaks
- 10:12about this. And this might not seem like it
- 10:15relates to us much, but aren't you?
- 10:16Glad that God keeps his promises.
- 10:20Even if hundreds of years past, God will keep his word.
- 10:24In that day, I will raise up the booth of David that is fallen
- 10:27and repair, its breaches and raise up its ruins and rebuilt
- 10:31it as in the days of old. So, even Amos, the prophet sees
- 10:35the same thing that Isaiah sees. But there's another reason why
- 10:40he says. From the stump of Jesse.
- 10:44Now, I remember this. This dynasty was almost so dead
- 10:49that to refer to David would almost be insignificant to say
- 10:53that it came from Jesse almost seems like there is a mini King
- 10:55for so long, so might as well give the reference to him.
- 10:57But there's another reason why the prophet says, Jesse relating
- 11:01to Isaiah predicting when the Messiah and how the Messiah
- 11:05would come. Can anybody think of a reason
- 11:07why? Well, here's a question.
- 11:13That might help where did Jesse come from?
- 11:18Not know who his father was but where he lived where he was born
- 11:21and where he was from. Geographically.
- 11:25That's right, so you go to First Samuel, 16 one when Samuel is
- 11:29being sent to go and anoint a new king that came from Jesse
- 11:33who came from where we're going to find out.
- 11:34The Lord said to Samuel. How long, will you grieve over
- 11:37Saul since? I had rejected him from being
- 11:39King over Israel, fill your horn with oil and go.
- 11:43I will send you to Jesse. The Bethel might fry provided
- 11:46for myself a king among his sons.
- 11:50That was David, David fulfilled, this ultimately, but then you
- 11:53have another Prophet a contemporary with Isaiah,
- 11:57meaning, he lived alongside with Isaiah named Micah and Micah,
- 12:025:2 tells us something about another king that is to come way
- 12:05past the days of David and what is this?
- 12:07A, but you o Bethlehem ephrathah who are two littered little to
- 12:12be among the clans of Judah from?
- 12:14You shall come forth for me. One, who is to be ruler in
- 12:18Israel, whose Origins. Ian is from old from ancient
- 12:21days. So we know now the location
- 12:26where this Messiah is going to be born.
- 12:29Isaiah said he came from the stump of Jesse, which means,
- 12:32yes, he's going to be a descendant from Jesse but more
- 12:34specifically, he's actually going to be born in Bethlehem.
- 12:38Michael. Confirms that now who has King
- 12:41James? New King James, can you read how
- 12:46it reads the last phrase? Whose origin is from old from
- 12:48ancient days. What is it?
- 12:49King James save Micah 5:2. Yeah, whose goings forth have
- 12:53been from of old from Everlasting.
- 12:54From Everlasting new King James, Micah 5:2 Isaac, who's going to,
- 13:02who's going to support that from above from the last name from
- 13:05Everlasting? Same thing NES.
- 13:07Be anybody have New American Standard Bible, We got to
- 13:11recruit somebody and he asked me.
- 13:13Yeah. One, who is to be ruler in
- 13:17Israel, whose coming forth is from old, from ancient date,
- 13:21from ancient days. So, what we understand here.
- 13:23The language is that whoever is going to be a ruler in Israel.
- 13:27His origin is from eternity. His origin is not just from, as
- 13:33we find out from different prophets.
- 13:34Yes, it descended from David, but he's actually from of old
- 13:37from ancient days, from Everlasting, from Beyond time,
- 13:40when even time came into existence, this ruler is going
- 13:42to come from such a realm enter into time.
- 13:46Take on flesh. Be born in Bethlehem.
- 13:50It's so clear there. The language is so clear.
- 13:54That this person has a divine nature that this ruler is
- 13:58somebody Supernatural. Isaiah sees it.
- 14:01And this is the lesson that we can learn.
- 14:03If you want to make it practical, just from Isaiah
- 14:0511:1, God is able to revive anything.
- 14:11In this context, you know what, he revived a kingdom a rain?
- 14:15A dynasty. Don't limit it to that.
- 14:18If you can do it that way, I want you to look at your family
- 14:22and it might look near dead in terms of your parents marriage
- 14:27in terms of your siblings, and how they relate to one another
- 14:29and turn to the lostness and the blindness, and the Rebellion
- 14:32even in your own home and realize that a shoot can come
- 14:35out of it. Look at your school.
- 14:39Look at your workplace. Look at your own heart.
- 14:41Whatever seems like it has had life at one point and has lost
- 14:45life. God is able to bring it back to
- 14:47life. That's the power that he
- 14:50possesses. And that's the hope that you and
- 14:53I can have. And it can even look as hopeless
- 14:57as something. Listen, we can never give up.
- 14:59We can never give up who we pray for and what we pray for.
- 15:02Because something like this, something that was laid low for
- 15:05hundreds of years, God did not forget And God did not give up
- 15:10on. And so we look at something and
- 15:14we think this is literally hopeless.
- 15:17Well, if you have breath in your lungs, there's still hope.
- 15:21There's still hope that God can do things even at the very last
- 15:25moment and it's still worth praying for if that's a
- 15:28possibility. It's still worth seeking God.
- 15:32After if it's still a possibility that's what I see
- 15:35here. That God is a reviver, he takes
- 15:37Wilderness and he gushes forth pools of water, he's able to do
- 15:41anything. This is what I see simply from
- 15:43this and the reason why they shoot would become a branch,
- 15:48that would bear much fruit as it says, in the second part and a
- 15:50branch from his roots. Shall bear.
- 15:51Fruit, is because of the second verse, The only reason why so
- 15:56much life would come from something that's been dead for.
- 15:58So long, is because this servant would be one who possess so much
- 16:03life in himself. Why is he going to bear fruit?
- 16:08Why is life going to be restored and the spirit of the Lord shall
- 16:12rest upon him. The spirit of wisdom and
- 16:16understanding the spirit of counsel and might the spirit of
- 16:21knowledge and the fear of the Lord.
- 16:24Now, if you include verse to, what seems to be a title and you
- 16:28make it not necessarily a title, but one of the attributes and
- 16:32one of the characteristics of this anointing upon him, you
- 16:34have seven spirits Right. Spirit of the Lord, one Spirit
- 16:38of wisdom to Spirit of understanding three.
- 16:40Spirit of counsel, for Spirit of Might five Spirit of knowledge,
- 16:446, Spirit of the fear of the Lord Seven.
- 16:47And that can seem a little confusing because you might
- 16:49think to yourself. What is our seven spirits or
- 16:51seven holy spirits? What do we see here?
- 16:55Is that the case? Or is this trying to teach us
- 16:59something else? Do you guys see that, right?
- 17:03Everybody count, 7 there. And in verse 2.
- 17:07And depending on your translation they all look like
- 17:09capital S is, right? So what do we have to do?
- 17:12We have seven holy spirit's. Yes, and that's exactly the
- 17:18answer that. This is not speaking about seven
- 17:21different Spirits with this is speaking about is this seven
- 17:24full operations of the one holy spirit that we acknowledge to be
- 17:29divine and to be God the seven and manifestations of who he is
- 17:35and how he interacts, and how he manifests his glory is found in
- 17:39these seven spirits. And so the describe how he's
- 17:43able to enforce himself and reveal himself and induce
- 17:47somebody else with power in a specific way way, and we see
- 17:51that in Revelation Revelations chapter one, Revelations chapter
- 17:561. When John the Apostle is writing
- 17:59to the seven churches. In Asia.
- 18:04Look how he introduces his letter and Revelations 1425.
- 18:10Revelation is the opposite. End of Genesis The last book of
- 18:16the Bible and it says here, John.
- 18:21To the seven churches that are in Asia, grace to you, and
- 18:25peace. Now, look at read this very
- 18:26slowly Grace to you and peace from him.
- 18:31Who is? And who was?
- 18:33And who is the come? Who does that describe?
- 18:38we're going to find out that's one person and from the seven
- 18:43spirits who are before his throne That's another person.
- 18:49And thirdly, and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness,
- 18:52the firstborn of the dead and the ruler of the Kings on the
- 18:55earth to him, who loves us and has freed us from our sins by
- 18:58his blood. That's three.
- 19:00We're talking about discovering God, right?
- 19:01This whole past few weeks, we've been talking about the Trinity
- 19:04and how the Bible shouts that God is a trying being.
- 19:07And we see it in John's introductory letter, who is, who
- 19:10was and who is to come, that's the Father, the seven spirits
- 19:15who are before his throne. This is the seven full manifold
- 19:18operations of the Spirit, that's too.
- 19:20And thirdly, we have the person of Jesus Christ and all three
- 19:23are introducing themselves through John to the seven
- 19:25churches. It doesn't even end.
- 19:29Their Revelation is a nightmare for the anti trinitarian.
- 19:33The Book of Revelation is a living nightmare for anybody.
- 19:37With does not believe that, God is a Triune being Turn your
- 19:40Bibles. Now, here in Revelation.
- 19:41Go to chapter 4. Chapter 4.
- 19:44Let's begin in. Verse 2, just to see how this is
- 19:47so obvious. John is speaking against so he
- 19:50wrote his letter and now John is in a vision.
- 19:52He comes in the spirit and it says, I once I was in the spirit
- 19:56and behold a throne stood in heaven with one seated on the
- 19:59throne. Now if you read this you realize
- 20:02that this is God, the father he sees him sitting on the throne
- 20:06now I know that might be mind boggling but Daniel saw the same
- 20:09thing in Daniel chapter 7, so he sees God sitting on the throne
- 20:13but then you read in verse I've something interesting from the
- 20:16throne came flashes of lightning and Rumblings and peals of
- 20:20thunder and Before the Throne were burning, seven torches of
- 20:24fire which are the seven spirits of God. oftentimes, when we read
- 20:29Revelation, especially those Throne Room Visions, we often
- 20:32see who the father and the son, have we ever perceived the Holy
- 20:35Spirit The seven torches which is a symbol of the ministry of
- 20:41the Holy Spirit, the seven torches of fire which are the
- 20:44seven spirits of God. So we want to where's the Holy
- 20:46Spirit? He's right before the throne.
- 20:49The father's on the throne, The Holy Spirits, Before the Throne.
- 20:51And then we read in the next chapter, chapter 5 verse 6 and
- 20:54who comes into this scene. That gets all the attention from
- 20:57every eye that be held. And between the throne, we
- 21:01talked about The Throne, there's somebody on the throne to
- 21:03somebody before the throne and between the throne and the four
- 21:06living creatures. And among the elders, I saw a
- 21:08lamb standing. As though it had been slain.
- 21:13So there's Jesus, we had the father on the throne.
- 21:17We had the holy spirit before the throne and we have Jesus
- 21:20entering into the scene as the Lamb of God.
- 21:23Now, look at this. It doesn't even end there as
- 21:26though I'd been slain. So whenever he saw he saw as
- 21:29though, this lamb, this is all vision.
- 21:31Is all symbolism had been slain, we talked about the Lamb of God,
- 21:35through Isaiah 53, but as much, as he looks like he's been
- 21:39slain, it says, here that with seven horns, and with seven
- 21:45eyes, Which are the seven spirits of God.
- 21:51Sent out into all the Earth. There's the Holy Spirit again.
- 21:57But I thought he was before the throne.
- 22:00But he's not just before the throne, he's upon Christ.
- 22:07We look at this stuff like horns and eyes.
- 22:10So we see his slain Lamb with seven horns and seven eyes.
- 22:14What's going on here? It's symbolic.
- 22:18Does anybody know what horns represent in the Bible?
- 22:20One of the main descriptions of what horn has Power Authority
- 22:24sovereignty strength, we speak about a horn of an animal that
- 22:30comes against whoever's standing before him.
- 22:32This is speaking about its ability to bulldoze before
- 22:35anything. And Zechariah gives the exact
- 22:38definition. So we got to I know this is a
- 22:40lot of Bible Bible Study Bible Bible study scripture.
- 22:44Not a sermon is that Korea 1818 Zechariah 118 just to give us
- 22:48biblical definition, remember Bible interprets.
- 22:50Bible, we find the answers to what we see here in the
- 22:54scriptures alone. And I lifted my eyes, and saw
- 22:57and behold four horns. Now, what are these horns?
- 23:01And I said to the angel that talked with me, what are these?
- 23:04Maybe you've asked them when you read Revelation and he said to
- 23:07me, these are the horns that have scattered Judah Israel and
- 23:10Jerusalem speaking about superpowers, the speaking about
- 23:13Nations that have come against the nation of Israel.
- 23:18Horns. So Jesus by having seven horns,
- 23:22that number seven represents what completion Perfection
- 23:27wholeness. He possesses the perfect power.
- 23:31He possesses all authority. He alone has complete
- 23:36sovereignty over every Affair in the world.
- 23:40It actually speaks about his Omni potent, his power, he is
- 23:45all-powerful so though he is slain guess.
- 23:48What he's all-powerful. In fact that it's through him
- 23:51being slain that he has all power.
- 23:54And not just horns, but seven eyes.
- 23:59Seven eyes. What does that mean?
- 24:01Was that Korea has the answer in Zechariah Chapter 4 verse 10.
- 24:07Bible interprets Bible. That's why we don't skip books
- 24:10in the Bible. For whoever has despised the day
- 24:13of small things shall rejoice and shall see the Plumb line and
- 24:15the Hand of zerubbabel. Now, look what Zechariah says
- 24:19these seven are the eyes of the Lord, which range through the
- 24:24whole earth. So, Zechariah C7 eyes, but he
- 24:28gets description, he gets an understanding of what these
- 24:31seven eyes. Represent a speaks about God's
- 24:34omnipresence His omniscience that there is nothing in this
- 24:40world that is hidden from his eyes that there is no room dark
- 24:43enough. There's no pit deep enough.
- 24:45There's no land for enough in which God does not perceive and
- 24:48see and understand and is fully aware of what's Happening all at
- 24:52the same time. And so, now you take those eyes,
- 24:56you go back to Revelation and it says that Jesus has seven eyes.
- 25:01Which means what he has perfect knowledge.
- 25:05All awareness. Complete revelation.
- 25:11Total understanding. Fully aware nothing ever catches
- 25:16him by surprise. Nothing is ever done in secret.
- 25:21Nothing is ever hidden from him. Wow.
- 25:27How does this slain lamb have seven horns and seven eyes.
- 25:33When we go back to Revelation 5:6 and we realize these things
- 25:38that give them that ability, Which are the seven spirits of
- 25:42God. So for him to possess all power
- 25:47and for him to possess all knowledge, and all presence
- 25:50comes from the Sevenfold Ministry of the Holy Spirit
- 25:53which Isaiah says, I saw it. John saw it.
- 25:57Isaiah. Saw it.
- 25:58Welcome to the harmony of the Bible.
- 26:01I saw it and Paul actually rather Isaiah says I have I have
- 26:06the names of each of those seven spirits.
- 26:08I have the functioning I have the understanding of how these
- 26:10Sevenfold Spirit actually work. So, so look at this, it doesn't
- 26:13even end there. So the spirit is in the presence
- 26:16of the father Before the Throne, the spirit is upon Christ.
- 26:22We see it, right? Seven horns and seven eyes.
- 26:26That means the spirit is upon Christ.
- 26:28It doesn't even end there because the holy spirit's
- 26:31Ministry goes further than that, sent out into all the Earth.
- 26:38So he's Before the Throne seven torches.
- 26:42He's upon Christ. And Jesus says, you know, it's
- 26:46better that I go so I can send someone else.
- 26:49And he sent out into all the Earth.
- 26:52We have so belittled, the deity of the Holy Spirit, think about
- 26:55it, he's before the father, he's upon Christ, he's working in
- 26:59every single Believers, individual temples.
- 27:01And as the church as the Temple of the Lord, he's convicting.
- 27:04He's comforting. He's healing.
- 27:06He's restoring. He's empowering and he's
- 27:09regenerating lost. Souls In the presence of the
- 27:12father upon Christ in every believer out in the world,
- 27:15restraining Evil. All at the same time.
- 27:20The deity of the Holy Spirit, the holy spirit is God.
- 27:25And he's very powerful. So this is what we see.
- 27:31Isaiah, and John are seeing the same thing and then we go back
- 27:34to Isaiah. 11:2 and we try to break down what these things.
- 27:41These spirits that are one but are manifested in seven,
- 27:45different ways, share the spirit of the Lord, some would debate.
- 27:50That's a title. I think that's included amongst
- 27:53his seven, the spirit of the Lord, which speaks of the nature
- 27:55of God, the character of God, The person of God.
- 28:02That is poured over the person of Jesus Christ in which the
- 28:06nature of the Father. The character of the father is
- 28:09reflected and radiating through his son, perfectly without
- 28:13measure C. We have the spirit of the lord,
- 28:16we have the Holy Spirit in us, but we're humans.
- 28:19And so Jesus Christ is not perfectly displayed through us.
- 28:22The father is not perfect, it's limited because we have sinned,
- 28:25we have thought patterns, we have motives that limits, so to
- 28:28speak. The Holy Spirit from going to
- 28:30that place, but John Tells us that Jesus received the spirit
- 28:33without measure. He perfectly displayed the Lord
- 28:37and he had the spirit of the Lord upon him and everything.
- 28:40That embodies who God is was portrayed through the person of
- 28:44Christ. Not just the spirit of the Lord
- 28:46but the spirit of wisdom, the spirit of wisdom.
- 28:51The spirit of wisdom is the ability to analyze.
- 28:55And to assess a situation. And to be able to provide the
- 29:01best decision and the best solution.
- 29:06To glorify God and to provide good for man.
- 29:10The spirit of wisdom was upon Christ, there was nothing too
- 29:13complicated for Christ to figure out.
- 29:15There is nothing to perplexing. There is nothing to
- 29:19dumbfounding, there is nothing. That was so great of a Ministry
- 29:23that Christ could not look at analyze assess and in provide
- 29:26the best answer to solving the best solution that can come out
- 29:31of it. He possessed the spirit of
- 29:34wisdom and it is even Stop there.
- 29:38There's even more and we see that in Jesus life, don't we
- 29:40not? You have politicians who have
- 29:42religious figures that come up to Jesus and try to throw and
- 29:45question that would stump him. And he goes and he provides an
- 29:48answer that literally leaves their mouths.
- 29:50Drop to the floor and some of them scratching their heads
- 29:54walking away thing. I've never heard somebody spoke
- 29:57like this, man, because he had the spirit of wisdom.
- 29:59You couldn't trap the guy. You could not Corner him, he
- 30:03would always find a way out and leave you feeling you're in a
- 30:06corner. The spirit of understanding.
- 30:11This is mainly speaking about discernment.
- 30:16And you could try to fool Jesus, all you want, he knew what was
- 30:19in man? John says He did not interpret
- 30:22things on the surface level, you can give him words, you can give
- 30:26him the right look. And he saw past all of that and
- 30:29he would see the substance of what's really inside of a man.
- 30:32He would see the reality of a matter, he would know the depths
- 30:35of a circumstance. There was nothing that could
- 30:38catch him by surprise. There was nothing that could
- 30:40fool him. There was nothing that could
- 30:42make him confused. He had such deep discernment.
- 30:46It would scare people. He knew about your past.
- 30:52You knew about what you just did.
- 30:53He knew where Nathaniel was sitting?
- 30:57Before he had met him in person. Jesus operated in the spirit of
- 31:01discernment. Without measure.
- 31:08We see here the spirit of counsel, I think about this,
- 31:11that's the next thing, right? With the spirit of wisdom, the
- 31:13spirit of understanding the spirit of counsel I love this
- 31:16because because he has the spirit of wisdom and because he
- 31:20had the spirit of understanding you combine those things, and
- 31:23who do you have the perfect counselor?
- 31:29Because he has such depth of knowledge and because he has the
- 31:31ability to apply that knowledge in the right circumstance with
- 31:34the right timing and everything else.
- 31:36Jesus Christ knows how to provide the right Insight.
- 31:40The right answer the right paths to take the right decision to
- 31:44make all of those things he gives with such precision.
- 31:50It's perfect. It's literally perfect.
- 31:54It's not just good advice. It's perfect advice.
- 31:59And the comfort that counsel, he also knows how to comfort.
- 32:02He knows the exact word to give in season.
- 32:06He knows the right scriptures to lead us to, he knows when you
- 32:09need to hear that sermon. When you walked into that
- 32:12service, he knows it all because he possesses understanding.
- 32:17And because he possesses wisdom, he is the counselor capital c.
- 32:23Now, like I said, Isaiah is filled, with prophetic
- 32:26statements about Christ, and here's one of them turned their,
- 32:28you can turn the year and Isaiah, right?
- 32:29Isaiah 50, Isaiah 50, this just confirms this thought, Go to
- 32:36Isaiah 50. Verse 5.
- 32:41Again, this is speaking about the suffering servant that is to
- 32:44come. Isaiah 50 verse 5.
- 32:48This is prophetically speaking about Jesus says the Lord.
- 32:52God has opened my ear and I was not rebellious, I turned not
- 32:57backward. I gave my back to those who
- 33:00strike and my cheeks, to those who pull out the beard, I hid,
- 33:05not my face from disgrace and spitting.
- 33:08Where was that? Fulfilled?
- 33:10In the gospels when he's being persecuted when he was being,
- 33:13it's persecuted in his trial. So this even gives Isaiah is a
- 33:16master at giving more description of what happened.
- 33:19So what you had was Jesus clearly, he had a beard and they
- 33:23pulled the hairs out of that beard and they spat in his face.
- 33:28And his back, he did not turn away from obeying the father,
- 33:32but he in fact, gave it to those to whip it to such a degree that
- 33:35it look like one big gash. And we go, that's Jesus.
- 33:40But then people don't realize the verse before verse 5 is
- 33:43Jesus to. So look at Isaiah, 50 verse 4.
- 33:47The Lord has given me the tongue of those who are taught that.
- 33:51I may know how to sustain with a word.
- 33:54Him who is weary. That's Jesus.
- 34:01So yeah, we see five and six, that's Jesus.
- 34:04But first for is Jesus to and you know what it's saying about
- 34:06Jesus that he's been given such a tongue If you have King James
- 34:11new King James says, that he would give a word in the right
- 34:14season. Didn't say, what kind of season
- 34:20any season. The Lord knows how to speak,
- 34:23just what you and I need to know to be sustained, log enough to
- 34:27get to the next season. This is why you don't miss
- 34:32reading the Bible because that's how God speaks please hear me.
- 34:38I can tell you moments. Where was in just checking off
- 34:41devotion in the morning. I can tell you waking up from
- 34:44something that happened the night before, only to find, even
- 34:48in my systematic, reading, Jesus, giving the right word.
- 34:54In the right season where the were like obscure verses that
- 34:58literally vibrate from the Bible only to penetrate your heart and
- 35:02Infuse so much life and hope it's as though he spoke from his
- 35:05very lips into your ears. Christ has been given that kind
- 35:12of a tongue for the sake of you and me to be able to walk
- 35:14another day in life. God, doesn't speak to me.
- 35:19Well, don't say that if your Bible is closed.
- 35:24Because when you get the word in you, even as you walk through
- 35:27life, even if you don't have this book directly open before
- 35:30you, he knows how to take that Revelation that you've digested
- 35:34to come to life and fruition, and to speak, as though again,
- 35:37he is whispering right in your ear.
- 35:40I guarantee you that He's been given the spirit of counsel.
- 35:46He's the best counselor. Talk to him.
- 35:48Bring it before, man. Watch how he will provide the
- 35:50right remedy. Lay on your bed and let those
- 35:54tears stream down your cheeks to only wet your pillow, but open
- 35:57your mouth and come to him. Who's been anointed to give you
- 36:00a word back. Sometimes it doesn't happen
- 36:03right away but it's worth the wait.
- 36:05I rather get a good word from the Lord than any were just for
- 36:07the sake of hearing something. I want to hear from God and
- 36:11there's one who's been given the spirit of counsel, Jesus Christ
- 36:13himself, who is the word in the flesh, through his Worth, to
- 36:16speak to our flesh. And to give us what we need to
- 36:20get to the next season. Don't say, God doesn't speak
- 36:23when your Bible is closed. He uses his word to speak, don't
- 36:29look for fortune. Cookie answer, this book is
- 36:31filled with truth and he wants to give it to you, and he wants
- 36:35to give you the right word from this book.
- 36:39We come back to Isaiah 11, what happens?
- 36:41Isaiah 11 says, the spirit of counsel in the spirit of Might
- 36:45the spirit of Might that he's been given the ability to
- 36:50overcome and Prevail any obstacle, that is laid before
- 36:53him. There is not one enemy, there's
- 36:55not one Temptation, there's not one trial that Jesus did not
- 36:59overpower because of the holy spirit, manifesting in total
- 37:03might Nothing could stand before him, because of the measure of
- 37:10power that clothe him. We see that in the wilderness,
- 37:14we see that with Miracles, we see that with demon possession.
- 37:19That he walked in with that power and it was glorious.
- 37:23I mean, you have Jesus when Judas comes with the band of
- 37:25soldiers as they were looking for, Jesus Christ of Nazareth
- 37:29and Jesus just says a few words, I am he And as, as though, a
- 37:36tornado had blown through the Garden of Gethsemane because all
- 37:39those men flew back just from that statement alone.
- 37:45The spirit of Might was upon him but that just his Spirit of
- 37:47mine, lastly, the spirit of knowledge.
- 37:51Again, a mind that was able to comprehend all matters relating
- 37:55to all things with a past present or future.
- 37:59There is nothing that he does not know concerning anything
- 38:03that this life presents itself. He knows all things.
- 38:07But let's just not limited to data and how things function and
- 38:10how things operate in this universe.
- 38:12Let's bring it and make a personal, he knows everything
- 38:14about me. And he knows everything about
- 38:18you. And so great is his knowledge.
- 38:24That it's coupled with his might, right?
- 38:27Because he knows every single need.
- 38:30Do you believe that God knows your needs?
- 38:32Do you think God knows your needs and he doesn't care about
- 38:35your needs? The very purpose of his
- 38:38knowledge of you so that he can take care of you.
- 38:41That's why he says, don't be worried or anxious.
- 38:43Listen. Not only is his knowledge.
- 38:46So clear and so obvious. I mean, it's so amazing that he
- 38:51knows you and I are more than this is.
- 38:52Why when you pray for things, you say Lord you know my
- 38:55desires, you know what, I need more than I know.
- 38:57So I'm going to trust your leading.
- 38:59Show me revealed to me. Lead Me Guide Me.
- 39:03Pray that prayer in every aspect in your life from your job to
- 39:06who Your spouse is supposed to be ask him because he is the
- 39:09spirit of knowledge and he knows you better than, you know
- 39:12yourself. And when you pray to the one who
- 39:16has the spirit of knowledge realized that he also has the
- 39:18spirit of might, so he knows it. But he also has the power to
- 39:21provide for the need So he sees the need and as complex as I
- 39:26might be. As far-fetched as it, might seem
- 39:30to receive an answer for it or to receive Clarity on it.
- 39:34Don't forget that it's coupled with the spirit of might so he
- 39:36comes in and brings forth and delivers exactly what your heart
- 39:39is craving. This is who were speaking about
- 39:43here. The limit himself that the
- 39:45spirit of all of this happened just at his Earthly Ministry and
- 39:48it lifted off. No, we just learned in
- 39:50Revelation that the spirit of God is still upon him.
- 39:53The Sevenfold spirit Spirit of knowledge.
- 39:59And then it says here. Lastly, the spirit of the fear
- 40:03of the Lord, the spirit of the fear of the Lord.
- 40:09So, the Holy Spirit. Energized.
- 40:12So to speak enabled. So to speak Jesus.
- 40:17To delightfully submit, his will to the program of God.
- 40:23Jesus walked in a reverential. Awe of God.
- 40:27God help us. This is what we need in 2019.
- 40:30If there's going to be any Spirit to manifest, that it be
- 40:32the spirit of the fear of God, the spirit of the Lord.
- 40:35So Came Upon Christ that he was in profound.
- 40:39All of the one he served and he walked in that and he operated
- 40:44in that and everything that he did was not in reluctance was
- 40:47not in a fear in which he was crippled and Paralyzed by
- 40:50Terror. It was this desire.
- 40:53Fire in the knowledge of how holy and awesome.
- 40:55The father is that he says you have all of me.
- 40:59You know, what's beautiful? We can ask for that.
- 41:05If the fear of the Lord comes from the Holy Spirit, I can pray
- 41:07to the Holy Spirit to be. I want that.
- 41:13I want greater measure of that because the fear of the Lord,
- 41:16prolongs life and the fear of the Lord is the hatred of evil,
- 41:19and the fear of the Lord is a shield, and the fear of the Lord
- 41:22is a Fountain of Life. I don't know why people are so
- 41:25afraid of the fear of the Lord. It brings so much good.
- 41:29Because it's a lie from the devil.
- 41:31That's why to make you afraid of the doctrine of the fear of the
- 41:34Lord. So that you would not benefit
- 41:35from the riches that ooze out of that reality.
- 41:37That's why guarantee you 100%? The spirit of the fear of the
- 41:42Lord was on him. And he says, in verse 3, that it
- 41:44was his Delight, his Delight shall be in the fear of the
- 41:48Lord. And now we read these wonderful
- 41:50things that Jesus operated in, we read these things and we go,
- 41:54that's amazing. Surely we see this in the
- 41:57gospels, but do you realize that Isaiah is not just speaking
- 42:00about Jesus first coming? That these things would not just
- 42:04be displayed as you walk in this world for 33 years. if you make
- 42:09the connection to the rest of this prophecy, we realized that
- 42:14this giving of the spirit, this anointing that Came Upon Christ
- 42:19extends into the second mission of his second coming when he
- 42:23comes back physically to rain on the world again.
- 42:27Because this is what we believe about the second coming of Jesus
- 42:29Christ. We believe that Jesus came at
- 42:32one point. Yes. 2000 years ago to purchase
- 42:35us through his blood to save us from our sins.
- 42:39But as Jesus comes back, we are not entering immediately into an
- 42:44eternal State some mistaken that we're not.
- 42:47We're not going to be just getting to heaven and
- 42:49everything's a done deal. That's not what the Bible
- 42:52describes. We have this first coming.
- 42:56This age of Grace, We're still in it.
- 42:58You want to know if you're in Bible times, were in Bible
- 43:00times, souls are still coming in, Gentiles are still coming in
- 43:04conferences, are still being organized, missionaries are
- 43:06still being sent because the year of the Lord's, favor is
- 43:08still in it when that comes to an end, Jesus will return when
- 43:12he returns, he is going to physically rain on the earth for
- 43:171,000 years. It's called the millennial reign
- 43:22of Christ. Jesus is actually going to come
- 43:26set his feet because he's still fully man fully God, he's going
- 43:30to set his feet on the Mount of Olives and he is going to
- 43:33establish his kingdom physically before the Eternal state for
- 43:391000 years. If we don't believe that there's
- 43:43a lot of things in the Bible that don't make sense.
- 43:46A lot of things in the Bible that don't make sense.
- 43:50Including this prophecy. We're going to talk about why
- 43:53believing in the millennial Reign is so important.
- 43:57What do we see here? And his Delight in verse 3,
- 43:59shall be in the fear of the Lord.
- 44:01He shall not judge by what is IC or decide disputes but what his
- 44:05ears here, this is speaking about kingship.
- 44:08This is speaking about one, who is to be a judge?
- 44:11Jesus Christ, did not come to the world to judge.
- 44:12You came to save, he's coming back to judge and when he comes
- 44:15back to sit on a physical throne, In a physical place.
- 44:22In this world, he's going to be judging all the nations and now
- 44:25look at how his judgment is going to be performed.
- 44:28Remember we just talked about the Sevenfold Ministry of the
- 44:31spirit upon Christ. He's going to be so endued with
- 44:35knowledge and discernment and insight.
- 44:37That when a case is brought before him, he won't need to see
- 44:40evidence, and he won't have to hear anything that they have to
- 44:42say. He shall not judge by what is IC
- 44:48or decide this piece by what his ears here he is.
- 44:50So, having this obvious knowledge of, what's before him
- 44:55that he's going to dictate and determine the judgment and
- 44:57they're going to go off, and they're going to be given what?
- 44:59He's been. Granted his perfect
- 45:00righteousness and judgment. Can you think about that?
- 45:03There's no need for lawyers in the lawyers in the millennial
- 45:05reign. Just bring the case before him
- 45:07and he's going to give the answer just bring the case
- 45:10before me. He's going to provide the
- 45:11solution. He doesn't need to hear your
- 45:12arguments it isn't he see the evidence?
- 45:14All he needs is the spirit that's been given to him.
- 45:19And that this is amazing, right? Because at one point, there was
- 45:23a king just like that very similar to that.
- 45:25What was his name? A real king that actually lived
- 45:28in Israel. Solomon.
- 45:31Now, listen to this, I'm going to read to you.
- 45:33What Solomon was like in his Reign.
- 45:35It says, here in 1st Kings 3434 and people of all nations, came
- 45:40to hear the wisdom of Solomon. People of all nations came to
- 45:44hear what Solomon had to say, and from all the kings of the
- 45:47earth who had heard of his wisdom.
- 45:49So you have all these kings that heard about this man saw them
- 45:51and they go, we got to hear what this guy has to say and they
- 45:54would flock to him. We had the Queen of Sheba that
- 45:57flock to him to just here and she goes what you have to say.
- 46:00Is greater than what I've been told the wisdom that you've been
- 46:03giving. Surely, God has loved Israel by
- 46:05making you King. But then you go to the gospels
- 46:08and you see Jesus condemning certain cities and he said, even
- 46:12the Queen of Sheba went to go see Solomon and something
- 46:15greater than Solomon is here. So, if the nations of the kings
- 46:21of the peoples of all the world came to flocking here.
- 46:23Solomon, what will it be like? When Jesus Reigns on the earth,
- 46:26you want to wonder what its gonna be like when Jesus comes?
- 46:28What am I going to do for all eternity?
- 46:30Well, here's one thing you're going to do, you're going to
- 46:31want to sit and just hear him talk.
- 46:35You just going to want to hear the wisdom that oozes out of
- 46:38him. And be astonished stunned.
- 46:42By the spirit of wisdom and understanding and counsel that
- 46:46he possesses. And so we see here in Isaiah 11,
- 46:53that it doesn't stop there. He shall not judge by what his
- 46:56eyes, see, your decide, this piece by what his ears hear.
- 46:59But with righteousness, he shall judge the poor and decide with
- 47:01equity for the meek of the earth.
- 47:03He shall strike the Earth with the rod of his mouth.
- 47:08And with the breath of his lips, he shall kill the wicked.
- 47:14So the same one that we love and adore and worship who breathes
- 47:17life into man is the same one, who possesses the power to take
- 47:20life out of man with his words. Just by his word, he doesn't
- 47:26need guards. He doesn't need weapons.
- 47:28He doesn't need tanks and he doesn't need nuclear.
- 47:32All he needs is to say the word for us to disintegrate like
- 47:35powder. and as powerful, as you see the Antichrist, the false
- 47:41prophet, the Beast, and the Book of Revelation, you know, what it
- 47:44says in 2nd Thessalonians, Second Thessalonians 2 tells us
- 47:49in verse 8 and then the Lawless one will be revealed whom the
- 47:53Lord, Jesus will kill with the breath of his mouth.
- 47:57So even when Jesus Christ comes on the scene and he's faced with
- 47:59the Antichrist when he's faced with the one who deceived the
- 48:03whole world to worship a false. God who did false signs and
- 48:07wonders? You know what?
- 48:08Jesus will have to do when he shows up, get out of here, and
- 48:11he's gone. The breath of his mouth alone.
- 48:20and your non-existent, And when he comes to rule and reign in
- 48:24this world because he's coming when he sits upon his throne.
- 48:29And when he has to deal with the wicked, he just has to say the
- 48:31word that's going to be a site. Don't you think?
- 48:37And then it goes on to describe and verse 6.
- 48:40In this Millennial Reign, a shift in every way possible.
- 48:46So listen, it's not just going to change the way the world is
- 48:49operating. In terms on a human level.
- 48:51Every element of existence will be altered due to the Eternal
- 48:56reign of Christ specifically in his Millennial Reign.
- 48:59Look what it says in verse 6. This is just something that I
- 49:01think is amazing. The wolf shall dwell with the
- 49:03lamb. And the leopard shall lie down
- 49:07with the young goat and the calf, and The Lion, and the
- 49:10fattened calf together. So, what we see is harmony
- 49:13amongst animals. What we see is a reversal of
- 49:17what happened in Genesis, where there was a dread upon the
- 49:21animals from man, we see that today do we not that there's a
- 49:26dread of humanity from the animals that they're on guard,
- 49:28that they don't approach us? Some do, some are more tame than
- 49:32others. When Christ comes to establish
- 49:35his kingdom. There's going to be a literal
- 49:36shift of the way animals, relate, to one another.
- 49:39And what we see here and a little child shall lead them.
- 49:43The cow and the bear shall graze and their young shall lie down
- 49:46together and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
- 49:49So, animals are not going to be eating each other anymore.
- 49:52The nursing child think about this shall play over the whole
- 49:56of the cobra. And the weaned child shall put
- 50:00his hand on the adders Den. They shall not hurt, nor destroy
- 50:05in all my Holy Mountain, for the Earth, shall be full of the
- 50:08knowledge of the Lord, as the waters, cover the sea.
- 50:11So, what we see is animals, They won't harm each other anymore,
- 50:15and hand animals will not harm children anymore and children
- 50:18can play with animals. Even with snakes, even with
- 50:22poisonous snakes because there's literally going to be such an
- 50:27obvious sense of the sovereignty and the power of God's enforced
- 50:31righteousness on the earth that it's going to have an effect on
- 50:34beasts itself. This was going to happen and
- 50:40this is in this world for 1,000 years.
- 50:42Do you know what else is going to change in this world?
- 50:44Not just the way animals relate to you.
- 50:46And I are relate to one another geographically land is going to
- 50:49shift. Isaiah chapter 2, turn your
- 50:55Bibles to Isaiah chapter 2, just to see it.
- 50:58Look at verse 1 of Isaiah chapter 2.
- 51:03The word that Isaiah the son of amoz Saw concerning Judah and
- 51:06Jerusalem. It shall come to pass in the
- 51:08latter days that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be
- 51:12established as the highest of the mountains.
- 51:17And shall be lifted up above the hills and all the nations shall
- 51:21flow to it, that we see it. Then when he comes to Jerusalem
- 51:24and establishes his kingdom geographically speaking, the
- 51:27land will be so elevated that it's going to be the highest
- 51:31mountain and all the nations will realize it and Float to it.
- 51:38And what are people going to do? During this time, what they did
- 51:42in Solomon's time, look at verse 3 and many people shall come and
- 51:46say come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord to the
- 51:49house of the god of Jacob that he may teach us his ways.
- 51:53And that we may walk in his paths for out of Zion shall go
- 51:56forth, the law and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
- 51:59He shall judge between nations and shall decide disputes for
- 52:01many people's. So, during this thousand year
- 52:03reign, it doesn't, it's not heaven yet.
- 52:06It's not free from sin, it's not free from Death.
- 52:10It's not free from the possibility of rebellion.
- 52:12In fact we're going to be shocked in a moment.
- 52:14What's going to happen at the end of the thousand year reign?
- 52:17But what is going to happen is that Jesus Christ will enforce,
- 52:21enforce such righteousness. He will judge between nations.
- 52:26He will bring about a verdict between how rulers deal with one
- 52:28another and there will be such a level of Peace during this
- 52:33thousand year reign. As Christ has come with the
- 52:35Sevenfold Spirit upon him. Look what they're going to do
- 52:37with their weapons. Look what your Bible says, the
- 52:40second part of verse 4, they shall beat their swords into
- 52:44plowshares. And their Spears into pruning.
- 52:48Hooks Nation shall not lift up sword against Nation, neither
- 52:51shall they learn War anymore? So they're going to look at all
- 52:54the weapons and say, geez. What are we going to do with
- 52:59these? There's no more war so let's
- 53:03turn into farming equipment. Let's turn into agricultural
- 53:07tools. Let's find a different use for
- 53:09them. That's how much peace there will
- 53:11be in the world no more war budget.
- 53:15No more military investment. All of that is going to be given
- 53:19to different things in this life when Jesus Christ becomes king
- 53:22over the world. go back to Isaiah 11:10 as we conclude in
- 53:30verse 10, it says In that day, the root of Jesse who shall
- 53:36stand as a signal for the peoples of him, shall the
- 53:39nation's Inquirer and his resting place shall be glorious.
- 53:45This is why we have to read the Bible carefully and slowly,
- 53:48sometimes and repetitively. How does it describe?
- 53:52Jesus and Isaiah 11:1. What does it say there shall
- 53:56come forth a shoot from the stump of Jesse and a branch from
- 54:01his roots, shall bear fruit. Then you come to verse 10, it
- 54:03says in that day, the root of Jesse So, which is he?
- 54:10Does he come after or does he come before?
- 54:15Because a route implies something to produce.
- 54:18Something that Branch implies something as a result of the
- 54:21route. But it's saying to you that the
- 54:23branch of Jesse and is describing the same person as a
- 54:25root of Jesse, because Jesus is not just his descendant.
- 54:29Jesus is David's creator. In that day, the root of Jesse
- 54:39who shall stand as a single for the peoples of him, shall rule
- 54:42the Nations and choir and his resting place shall be glorious.
- 54:50Now we read this, and I know it's a long week, it's the end
- 54:53of the week. It's Friday night.
- 54:56We read this and we see a future hope, don't we?
- 55:00We look forward to the day in which Jesus Christ will come
- 55:03physically Reign for a thousand years and more importantly, for
- 55:06all eternity and when he comes there's going to be such Harmony
- 55:09and is going to be such peace amongst one.
- 55:11Another there's going to be such a limited amount of evil.
- 55:14You know why? Because Revelations 20 says that
- 55:16Satan will be bound for a thousand years.
- 55:19To not deceive anyone. So we don't have the tempter
- 55:22coming and doing what he does. Best there's going to be a time
- 55:25period in which his influence will be subdued in order for
- 55:29Christ to fulfill his reign. And here's my question though,
- 55:35that as a future anticipation, there is a present reality of
- 55:38that, that we should also long for why, because though, the
- 55:41world itself will not come under subjection until Jesus Christ.
- 55:44Physically returns, there is a reality of the kingdom of God
- 55:49and it is represented in the church.
- 55:53And so, you know what, we should think of, if the result of Jesus
- 55:56Christ becoming King over a land, over the world, produces
- 56:00peace and Harmony and unity should then not be at least
- 56:03somewhat displayed in the people of God.
- 56:08Jesus Christ is King over their lives.
- 56:10Do you guys understand what I'm trying to say trying to say
- 56:12this? That when the world who will one
- 56:13day bow the knee to Jesus Christ and realize him as king of the
- 56:19earth, and King of the universe that same world who is not in
- 56:22that place. Yet should at least be able to
- 56:25look and open one of our Windows PK and get a glimpse of the
- 56:31reality of what Jesus Christ and his Reign looks like by seeing
- 56:34how we treat one another. No.
- 56:39Is Jesus Christ. Not King over.
- 56:41Our lives is not the kingdom of God within us.
- 56:44Jesus said, because the reality of the Kingdom now is that it's
- 56:47here and not yet. And the here part must manifest,
- 56:50because the world should look into the church and see another
- 56:53world. But it doesn't come when you
- 56:59have a building with a cross on top of it, that's not a church.
- 57:02It doesn't come with a nice padded.
- 57:04Pews is even come with a speaker and a worship team.
- 57:07It comes with people that Jesus Christ King over their lives and
- 57:10when you get those people together, there should be some
- 57:13kind of flavor of the millennial Reign.
- 57:15There should be some kind of insight into what it will look
- 57:17like when Jesus fully takes over the world and becomes king over
- 57:22all the nations. We have a responsibility.
- 57:27We should be a window into what's to come and we should
- 57:30have people excited for Jesus Christ to return by seeing what
- 57:35it's like to be under his Reign before he actually comes and
- 57:38Reigns. This is just a sign of.
- 57:43Have you ever wonder why Jesus Christ has to come for a
- 57:45thousand years? Why don't we just get to heaven?
- 57:51I've always thought that and some people believe that we are
- 57:54in the Thousand Year now that the rain is symbolic and that
- 57:57this is all these things that we just read about the wolf and the
- 57:59lamb. All this is not essential
- 58:03doctrinal things, these are secondary issues but it's just
- 58:05worth the thought. And so you think like why would
- 58:09Jesus physically Reign for a thousand years?
- 58:13We can just go straight into the Eternal state.
- 58:16There's many reasons. Here's one of the main reasons
- 58:20God is faithful to his promises and God had made particular
- 58:26Promises to the nation of Israel that he is yet to fulfill and
- 58:31will be fulfilled during this thousand year reign.
- 58:34God promised that there would be a king who would rule forever
- 58:37and ever. Jesus Christ will actually do
- 58:39that physically as he sits on the throne in Jerusalem.
- 58:43Jesus Christ will fulfill the promises that God made to
- 58:46Abraham about land. He made a land Covenant with
- 58:51Israel that he's going to fulfill and that he's going to
- 58:54show forth that he's kept his promise.
- 58:58Not only that there's even more to that the millennial Reign is
- 59:02going to reveal very shockingly, the depth of the depravity of
- 59:08mankind. Do you know why?
- 59:10Because even when Jesus Christ, physically comes to this world
- 59:14and Reigns and will enforce righteousness, to all the
- 59:17nations, listen to this, this is crazy.
- 59:20You ready for this? Satan will be subdued for a
- 59:22thousand years. Satan will literally be bound in
- 59:26a pit to not influence anyone to not whisper.
- 59:28Hey, why don't you do this and do that and influence the media
- 59:31and music and all the things that are surrounding us and
- 59:33bombarding us? He's going to have no influence
- 59:35and yet you ready for this turn to Revelation 20?
- 59:41Look at verse 7 of Revelations, 20.
- 59:47And when the thousand years are ended, Satan will be released
- 59:51from his prison and will come out to deceive the Nations that
- 59:55are at the Four Corners of the Earth.
- 1:00:01Think about that for a moment. Then after all of that, the
- 1:00:05devil yet has one more attempt to deceive the people of this
- 1:00:11world in a Utopia and almost a Garden of Eden State.
- 1:00:16Like and yet still have a chance to see people and people will be
- 1:00:19deceived even in that kind of holy environment to betray and
- 1:00:24walk away from Christ, only to ultimately experience Eternal
- 1:00:27separation from. Can you?
- 1:00:28Imagine what is that? Say that just describes that.
- 1:00:31It's not about an environment that influences our Behavior.
- 1:00:38The problem of humanity is their heart, not what kind of home
- 1:00:41they grew up in necessarily and now what kind of neighborhood
- 1:00:43they are in or what kind of nation has no.
- 1:00:45No, we're going to find out that there's a day.
- 1:00:47Coming were perfect, Justice will be enforced.
- 1:00:51Perfect laws will be established.
- 1:00:52The the poor everybody else will receive what is due unto them.
- 1:00:56And they're going to even see the physical Christ and yet
- 1:00:58Satan will have one more chance to deceive and it's actually
- 1:01:01going to work for some people. What's the problem here man's
- 1:01:04heart? That's the problem.
- 1:01:07If a happened in the Garden of Eden, it will happen in the
- 1:01:09millennial Reign and all its going to show is the depths of
- 1:01:13our depravity and our need for the Holy Spirit to regenerate
- 1:01:16our hearts. That's what it's going to
- 1:01:17reveal. But it's going to be a time in
- 1:01:23which we're getting closer to what heaven will be like, do
- 1:01:25what I'm saying. We're not there yet during that
- 1:01:27rain, but it's like time is now taking us closer into what God
- 1:01:31wants to usher in for all time. You guys have time, we're good,
- 1:01:35Isaiah 65, Isaiah 65. So we knew that is going to
- 1:01:40affect land. It's going to affect how laws
- 1:01:42are established it's going to affect animals.
- 1:01:45Then we come to a verse like this and Isaiah 65.
- 1:01:50Verse 17 for behold. I create new heavens and a new
- 1:01:54Earth and the former things shall not be remembered or come
- 1:01:56to mind, aren't you? Glad that when Heaven comes
- 1:01:58there things are, we're not going to remember.
- 1:02:01This is a verse that we often use when it comes to people, who
- 1:02:04think what am I going to do? If I have a loved ones that are
- 1:02:06going to go to hell, what am I going to do?
- 1:02:09If one of my best friends that is not going to accept Christ is
- 1:02:11going to be eternally separated from, I think this first place
- 1:02:14some roll into that, the former things shall not be remembered
- 1:02:18or come into mind. And Isaiah has this habit by the
- 1:02:23Holy Spirit to speak about a certain reality and then shift
- 1:02:27gears and to go into another Prophecy in the same thing.
- 1:02:30We saw that with Jesus right, he stops, right?
- 1:02:32When he says to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor and the
- 1:02:35very next phrase talks about his second coming.
- 1:02:37You remember that the year of the Lord's favor, first coming
- 1:02:40and the day of Vengeance of our God s coming in one sentence.
- 1:02:43So verse 17 to verse 19, he's talking about the new heavens
- 1:02:46and the new Earth coming in the Eternal state.
- 1:02:49But in verse 20, he is not speaking about the Eternal
- 1:02:51state. It may seem like that as you're
- 1:02:52reading, it may seem like he's talking about having.
- 1:02:55It may seem like he's talking about the Eternal state but then
- 1:02:57you go to verse 22. Hold on.
- 1:02:58That's not talking about eternity.
- 1:02:59Can't talk about eternity. What does it say?
- 1:03:02No more shall there. Be in an infant who lives but a
- 1:03:04few days or an old man who does not fill out.
- 1:03:06His days for the young man shall die.
- 1:03:09A hundred years old in this sinner.
- 1:03:10Sinners are sinners in heaven. There's death and Heaven.
- 1:03:16Sinner. 100 years old shall be accursed.
- 1:03:20He shift gears and he's talking about the Eternal that rather
- 1:03:22the millennial reign of Christ. And what is he saying there that
- 1:03:26in the millennial Reign, it's going to be very much like how
- 1:03:28the Ages were from the Garden of Eden downward.
- 1:03:33That life will be extended for hundreds of years.
- 1:03:35I mean, life will be extended to such a degree that if you died,
- 1:03:38100 years old, you're considered a cursed and babies aren't going
- 1:03:43to die. Verse 22.
- 1:03:47They shall not build and another inhabit, they shall not plant.
- 1:03:50And another eat for like the days of a tree, shall the days
- 1:03:53of my people be and just in case we don't think this is speaking
- 1:03:56about the millennial Reign, go back to verse 25.
- 1:03:59What is this a the wolf and the lamb shall graze together?
- 1:04:02The lion shall eat straw, like the ox and the dust shall be
- 1:04:05serpents food. They shall not hurt, or destroy
- 1:04:08in. All my Holy Mountain.
- 1:04:09Isaiah already said that in Chapter 11.
- 1:04:14Jesus Christ is coming back. And as much as we see this world
- 1:04:19and is amazing as it is, we're only getting a glimpse of what's
- 1:04:21to come. Things are going to shift real
- 1:04:23quick when he puts his feet on the Mount of Olives.
- 1:04:27Things are going to happen and they're going to happen in a way
- 1:04:29in which we're going to think it's Heaven itself but it's not
- 1:04:31even what heaven has to offer. But as it comes to that point,
- 1:04:35we're getting closer and closer to the curtain of Eternity.
- 1:04:38And so Jesus Christ, fully comes.
- 1:04:40Now think about this. Think about this.
- 1:04:44Apart from the Holy Spirit entering into your heart and
- 1:04:47changing you, you can live in a place like the millennial Reign
- 1:04:50and still go to hell at the end of it.
- 1:04:55Man, if that should create anything in us, a sense of
- 1:04:57desperation, if you're in this place, and you're not sure
- 1:04:59you're saved. Because even people had seen
- 1:05:04Miracles, Jesus opening the eyes of the Blind and Jesus opening
- 1:05:07the ears of the deaf and guess what?
- 1:05:10Many of them did not believe If I knew I wasn't saved and I
- 1:05:15realized that one day, Jesus going to physically rain on the
- 1:05:18earth and there's still people that will be deceived by the
- 1:05:19devil. Oh my.
- 1:05:22Oh my God have mercy on me, change my heart because I know
- 1:05:28that even if I see, even if I hear and even if I behold unless
- 1:05:31you come in and change me from the inside out, I'm doomed.
- 1:05:37Give me your conviction. And give me the ears to hear and
- 1:05:40give me the eyes to see my need for a savior.
- 1:05:44The gospel doesn't change in the millennial Reign, people will
- 1:05:46still need to realize Jesus Christ as the only source of
- 1:05:49salvation. And that's true today.
- 1:05:53That's true today. Can you imagine either this book
- 1:05:56is true or we just read a fairytale ladies and gentlemen.
- 1:06:00Either this book is true or we just spent the last hour here,
- 1:06:02talking about nonsense. Either God is true or he is like
- 1:06:07a man who lies. Well, let's look at his track
- 1:06:10record. Jesus Christ, physically
- 1:06:13existed, Jesus Christ, physically walked on this Earth,
- 1:06:17atheists, acknowledge that agnostics, acknowledge that,
- 1:06:20where they'll disagree is his statements, about being divine
- 1:06:24so if there is really a man that came and walked in this world
- 1:06:26named Jesus Christ who actually influenced history, And here's
- 1:06:32another thing that should get our attention, his grave is
- 1:06:34empty. And maybe we should take what he
- 1:06:37has to say about the future more seriously.
- 1:06:40And for those who have believed on him, may this be a source of
- 1:06:42hope. We're not talking Fairy Tale
- 1:06:44video games and movies here. We're talking about a reality
- 1:06:48that Jesus Christ is actually going to come and Reign and
- 1:06:51Rule. And we're going to see a shift.
- 1:06:53Like we never thought will happen but we'll be able to say
- 1:06:55that's my king. That's my king.
- 1:06:59Do you have Jesus Christ as king of your life?
- 1:07:04He's real. He's more real thing than you
- 1:07:09think I dare you to get desperate enough to say.
- 1:07:12Lord if you're really the one that I just heard about that can
- 1:07:14give good news to the poor that can heal the brokenhearted that
- 1:07:16can make me. Hold I can set me free from sins
- 1:07:18and heal the brokenhearted that can make my fire.
- 1:07:21For you come to life that can give me counsel and can give me
- 1:07:25wisdom and can give me guidance. I want you, I dare you.
- 1:07:30To take this word as it says and to give God childlike Faith at
- 1:07:35this, a God, if you're there, I want you.
- 1:07:40And watch how gracious and tender.
- 1:07:41He really is and watch how powerful he is.
- 1:07:46Watch how powerfully is? I don't care how bound you are
- 1:07:48in sin. I don't care how many lines you
- 1:07:50sniffed up your nostril. I don't care.
- 1:07:53How buzzed you might be on drugs even now.
- 1:07:56God is able to set you free. But you got to call upon him.
- 1:08:03Because I got nothing for you. Nobody up here has anything for
- 1:08:07you. All we do is sing and Proclaim
- 1:08:09about the one who's able to do something about it and we're not
- 1:08:11talking about somebody that doesn't exist.
- 1:08:13We're not talking about a historical figure that once live
- 1:08:15He's Alive. He's more real than you think.
- 1:08:24He's at touching distance from your seat right now.
- 1:08:26He's unseen but also if you call upon him, it will be as though
- 1:08:30you can see him. Because more than the eyes of
- 1:08:34your flesh, the eyes of your heart will open up and you will
- 1:08:36be holding, because the spirit will come in and regenerate your
- 1:08:40soul and you will know life, like, you've never known life
- 1:08:42before. I'll tell you this, as much as
- 1:08:44in the millennial, Reign things will shift and change in this
- 1:08:47life. Now, you'll see everything
- 1:08:48differently. Grass gets Greener and walls and
- 1:08:53their pain, get brighter lights, get brighter songs, sound better
- 1:08:56especially The Godly ones. Life has purpose.
- 1:09:04There's a satisfaction of the Soul.
- 1:09:07That nothing in this life can even come close to.
- 1:09:16I'm trying to bite my tongue. because, Christians.
- 1:09:29We need to prove to the world. That Jesus is enough.
- 1:09:42Because from what I hear from different people.
- 1:09:45And our generation. They're not very convinced.
- 1:09:52And yes, a big part of that is their sin nature.
- 1:09:55But I think another reason for that is because they look at us
- 1:09:57and they don't see any difference.
- 1:10:04But until we can say, Holy anointed one, your name is like,
- 1:10:08honey. On my lips.
- 1:10:11You know what we're saying to Jesus?
- 1:10:12When we say that we're saying when I actually say your name,
- 1:10:16there's sweetness to it. Like the name alone can come for
- 1:10:20me. There's reverence to that name.
- 1:10:25Jesus is not your homeboy. Jesus is Holy.
- 1:10:33Your spirits like water to my soul.
- 1:10:36What we're saying there. you satisfy me beyond anything else
- 1:10:41in this life, and I'm telling you that I think that's a song
- 1:10:48that we can sing in light of this, holy and anointed one, he
- 1:10:52is so anointed, he is so set apart.
- 1:10:55He is so consecrated, he alone. Possesses all these things that
- 1:10:58we described and he's worthy of our worship and adoration in
- 1:11:01light of it. I encourage you if any point
- 1:11:03this time as we close in a moment to sing that if you don't
- 1:11:06know Jesus, you would call upon him and say, God almighty I want
- 1:11:10to know you and I give my life to you.
- 1:11:13I know that my sins have put you on the cross.
- 1:11:15I Repent of them and I give you my life if you do know him Is
- 1:11:21your first love. Can you confidently?
- 1:11:25Say your name is like, honey on my lips and your spirits like
- 1:11:28water to my soul. If not, he is so good to us and
- 1:11:33you so anointed he can rekindle that reality again, that's how
- 1:11:36precious he is. So when we focus on Isaiah 61,
- 1:11:40we talked about his ability to restore from sin Isaiah 42, to
- 1:11:44restore the broken hearted and those that are discouraged.
- 1:11:46And here he is and Isaiah 11 who needs some wisdom.
- 1:11:50Who needs counsel, who needs Direction?
- 1:11:53Who needs guidance, who needs to know the next step who needs to
- 1:11:57hear a word in season call upon him?
- 1:12:02Call upon we've called upon him and Isaiah 61.
- 1:12:04We've called upon him and Isaiah 42.
- 1:12:05Let's call upon him and Isaiah 11.
- 1:12:09He's willing to do it. Would you bow your heads?
- 1:12:09He's willing to do it. Would you bow your heads?
