- 0:00SPEAKER_00: I'm so excited because I got Lena tickets, Lena and I tickets to go see Mo.
- 0:05SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 0:07SPEAKER_00: And we got front row tickets.
- 0:08SPEAKER_00: I'm so excited.
- 0:09SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 0:10SPEAKER_00: That's gonna be like our fun date night.
- 0:11SPEAKER_00: I did.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: I loved it.
- 0:13SPEAKER_00: It was awesome.
- 0:13SPEAKER_01: The second season.
- 0:14SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 0:14SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 0:15SPEAKER_01: It was so nice.
- 0:16SPEAKER_01: He did a good job.
- 0:17SPEAKER_00: This season is completely different than the first season.
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 0:20SPEAKER_00: And I feel like he's evolved.
- 0:21SPEAKER_01: He's he's no, no, I think also he knows probably Netflix is not gonna renew for our third season.
- 0:26SPEAKER_00: But no, I don't even think it's that.
- 0:27SPEAKER_00: But honestly, I feel like he it's not even about the renewal.
- 0:31SPEAKER_00: I feel like in the first season, he wasn't really sure how people would receive it.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: But I feel like in season two, he just put it all out there.
- 0:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and he spoke about some really important issues.
- 0:41SPEAKER_00: I love oh my god, I love the interactions like with his girlfriend.
- 0:43SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 0:44SPEAKER_00: I could love that.
- 0:44SPEAKER_00: His mom.
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: Yeah, she's amazing.
- 0:47SPEAKER_00: She's such a good actress.
- 0:48SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I don't even know her name, but I need to find out.
- 0:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah, she's amazing.
- 0:50SPEAKER_01: Everybody in that show was great.
- 0:51SPEAKER_00: It was honestly, it was so good.
- 0:52SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's definitely worth your time.
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: It made me excited to go to the live comedy show.
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: Because I've seen clips on Instagram and I'm freaking in love with it.
- 1:00SPEAKER_01: No, but he talks about the immigration process and like just getting your citizenship and going through all that and just like the struggles that people have.
- 1:06SPEAKER_01: What are you laughing at?
- 1:07SPEAKER_01: Lawyer in the seat.
- 1:09SPEAKER_01: Oh my God.
- 1:10SPEAKER_01: Uh what's her name?
- 1:11SPEAKER_01: Uh Herewood?
- 1:12SPEAKER_00: Uh it went, and no, no, the I can't remember the other one, which is like, are you sure you're in the correct room in the correct building?
- 1:22SPEAKER_01: But you know, it's so true, like, because Palestinians expect you to always go to them for everything.
- 1:26SPEAKER_01: Like, if if you're if you're a doctor, if you're uh if you're a realtor, if you're anything, a lawyer.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: I mean, but it's nice, like, don't you want to be able to do that?
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: But it's funny the way that he's got it.
- 1:35SPEAKER_00: No, no, no.
- 1:35SPEAKER_01: But the way he he portrayed then the first season was hilarious because it's so true.
- 1:38SPEAKER_01: It's just like call us, you automatically assume, oh, they're gonna be my clients because they're Palestinian.
- 1:42SPEAKER_01: And just like, dude, do your job first.
- 1:44SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 1:45SPEAKER_01: No, but this season was really, really.
- 1:47SPEAKER_01: It was very like honestly, it was funny at times, but it was very emotional, and I got emotional watching it, and I think my my favorite was it was scary, but it was like very telling of the situation there when the Israeli settler boy just walked in with his brother, and and they were like all freaking out, like, oh my god, like this is not like honestly I shouldn't be laughing.
- 2:10SPEAKER_01: It's not, but like if that happened in real life, that's just like yeah.
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: No, honestly, I I loved this season because I just I felt like at okay, weird.
- 2:21SPEAKER_00: I didn't even feel like he was acting.
- 2:23SPEAKER_01: No, right?
- 2:24SPEAKER_01: No, it was so is that weird to say like I felt like I was- It was done so well, and I think it's from the heart, yeah, and him gonna fall a scene, like that made me so excited.
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: I think not the not that I think the done from the heart part, I think that's what it is.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: It's he did it from the like 100%.
- 2:38SPEAKER_00: I felt like I was watching someone's life unfold.
- 2:41SPEAKER_00: Okay, so I felt about this the same exact way that I felt about like the first season of Rami.
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: Like, oh yeah, I just felt like it's oh my god, I this is somebody, like it could be somebody that I know.
- 2:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and you know, and then the other thing is because I was watching it, watching it with my daughter, and like she was so she's like, I'm so stressed.
- 2:58SPEAKER_01: Like when they went to the airport, she's like, oh my god, are they gonna strip search them?
- 3:00SPEAKER_01: I'm like, yeah, sometimes it happens, you know.
- 3:03SPEAKER_01: But it's it's really important for kids, like Palestinians, like it's nice to be represented.
- 3:08SPEAKER_01: Like when you see this on Netflix.
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: But honestly, it's not just, and again, you make an excellent point.
- 3:14SPEAKER_00: It's not just for Palestinian kids.
- 3:15SPEAKER_00: I think any child wants to see themselves in something that they're watching or in somebody that's on TV.
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: Representation is so important and it matters, yeah.
- 3:24SPEAKER_00: Especially in light of all of this, you know, what's happening in the country now.
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: I think it's very important to keep shows like Mo, whether it's for this community or any similar shows for any other community, like you know, here in the United States, representation is like really important.
- 3:39SPEAKER_01: And to remind people to, you know, keep your humanity.
- 3:43SPEAKER_01: Like, dude, people struggling, like he he shows like what happened to him, and like, you know, just and it's amazing because honestly, I think that you don't have to be Palestinian to um to like feel uh empathy or to understand where he's coming from.
- 4:00SPEAKER_00: You just have to be like there are parts of the show where yes, like if you're Palestinian, you've really you you have different feelings, obviously, about it.
- 4:08SPEAKER_00: But I also feel like as an immigrant, as a child of immigrants, that show represents so many people in this country.
- 4:14SPEAKER_01: Yes, it's not just Palestinians, like you know, just immigrants in general.
- 4:17SPEAKER_01: I mean, just like the struggles they, the daily struggles they have to go through.
- 4:20SPEAKER_01: I know, you know.
- 4:21SPEAKER_01: Um I loved it.
- 4:22SPEAKER_01: My daughter's favorite character was Hamid.
- 4:25SPEAKER_00: Bro, bro, bro that was funny.
- 4:29SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it was so it was it was done really well.
- 4:31SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I'm just curious, like what happened to his girlfriend?
- 4:33SPEAKER_01: She lost a lot of weight.
- 4:34SPEAKER_01: She did literally.
- 4:35SPEAKER_01: Did you see that?
- 4:35SPEAKER_01: Like, hope she's okay.
- 4:36SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 4:37SPEAKER_01: Like, I'm such an Arab.
- 4:38SPEAKER_01: I'm like, I hope she's okay.
- 4:39SPEAKER_01: Dafan Aktir.
- 4:40SPEAKER_01: She's on some of Blue Tides.
- 4:41SPEAKER_01: What is that?
- 4:42SPEAKER_01: The shots to make you lose weight, but she looked beautiful.
- 4:45SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 4:46SPEAKER_01: She was I just hope she's okay.
- 4:47SPEAKER_01: You are feeling like that.
- 4:48SPEAKER_01: But I'm just like such an Arab auntie.
- 4:49SPEAKER_01: I'm like, oh my god, is she okay?
- 4:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah, no, she's I'm sure she's fine.
- 4:54SPEAKER_01: No, but I I but she's she's really underrated too.
- 4:56SPEAKER_01: She's a good actor.
- 4:57SPEAKER_01: In short, yeah.
- 4:58SPEAKER_01: Definitely watch it.
- 4:59SPEAKER_01: Watch it.
- 5:00SPEAKER_01: Uh I mean I rewatched the first season with Rai because she hadn't seen it.
- 5:04SPEAKER_01: And then we finished season two.
- 5:05SPEAKER_00: Isn't it funny that when that season came out, like, what is it, like two years ago or something?
- 5:09SPEAKER_01: I think three.
- 5:10SPEAKER_01: I think it's been three because he or two and a half, because he said he touched that.
- 5:16SPEAKER_01: No, I didn't feel comfortable for her to watch it.
- 5:18SPEAKER_00: She wasn't old enough to watch that.
- 5:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so like now it's different.
- 5:21SPEAKER_00: I honestly think uh like so both Lena and I, like we all have teenagers now.
- 5:25SPEAKER_00: Like both of us have teenagers now.
- 5:27SPEAKER_00: And I think it's having like your kid be 13 versus 14 versus 1.
- 5:32SPEAKER_00: Or 15.
- 5:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah, she'll be 15 next month.
- 5:34SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 5:34SPEAKER_00: Um, it's such a huge difference.
- 5:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, it is just the way that they see the world and the way that they process things, and yeah.
- 5:43SPEAKER_01: No, it was a great show.
- 5:44SPEAKER_01: Watch it, you know.
- 5:45SPEAKER_01: It's not that long, it's like half-hour episodes.
- 5:47SPEAKER_00: Honestly, since we reviewed Dubai Bling, the least we could do is give you something decent to watch.
- 5:51SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Dubai Bling was trash.
- 5:53SPEAKER_01: Like, I'm embarrassed.
- 5:54SPEAKER_01: Like, I don't wanna like I mean, now it's out, it's out there.
- 5:56SPEAKER_01: She should be embarrassed because she watched it and she made me watch it.
- 5:59SPEAKER_01: Oh, wow.
- 6:00SPEAKER_01: So now you I made you do that stuff.
- 6:02SPEAKER_01: Yeah, she coerced me.
- 6:02SPEAKER_01: I would have never fucking watched it on my own.
- 6:04SPEAKER_01: Ever.
- 6:05SPEAKER_01: Anyway, uh, Mo is amazing.
- 6:07SPEAKER_01: Watch it, it's on Netflix.
- 6:08SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, and I can't wait to take you guys with us when we go to the live show.
- 6:11SPEAKER_01: What are we gonna do?
- 6:12SPEAKER_01: We're gonna show them.
- 6:13SPEAKER_00: We'll take clips in I guess actually, I don't know if we can take clips, let me not lie, because like usually recording is not permitted.
- 6:19SPEAKER_00: However, we will at least take pictures of ourselves from inside the venue.
- 6:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 6:24SPEAKER_00: Or when we go to dinner.
- 6:25SPEAKER_00: We're definitely gonna go to dinner.
- 6:27SPEAKER_00: Lena and I are having a date night.
- 6:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we are.
- 6:28SPEAKER_00: Isn't it sad it's February?
- 6:30SPEAKER_00: We're talking about a date night in freaking May.
- 6:31SPEAKER_00: Because that's how it works.
- 6:32SPEAKER_00: We're like an old married couple.
- 6:34SPEAKER_00: No, it's because like we both are busy.
- 6:36SPEAKER_00: I know, we're an old married couple.
- 6:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you know, you only go to date nights with your like your significant other, like when the time permits.
- 6:42SPEAKER_00: When you have it.
- 6:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but we're excited about more.
- 6:44SPEAKER_01: We're proud of him.
- 6:44SPEAKER_01: I love that guy.
- 6:45SPEAKER_01: And I'm excited for our date night, too.
- 6:47SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 6:48SPEAKER_01: We planned a date night for five months from now.
- 6:50SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 6:50SPEAKER_00: So yeah, it'll be fun.
- 6:52SPEAKER_01: Anyway, let us know what you guys think about the show.
