- 0:00Speaker 1: Scrubbing In with Beka Tilly and Tanya rad and iHeartRadio
- 0:04Speaker 1: and two times People's Choice Award winning podcast, Hello everybody.
- 0:13Speaker 2: We are scrubbing It didn't There used to be a jingle, didn't.
- 0:19Speaker 3: We used to say something.
- 0:21Speaker 4: You would have heard the jingle if no.
- 0:23Speaker 3: No, didn't used to say like a thing, scrub a
- 0:26Speaker 3: dub dub in the tup or something.
- 0:27Speaker 4: Thank you. Yes, I used to say scrub a dub
- 0:31Speaker 4: dub and the.
- 0:33Speaker 5: Listeners didn't like it, and I got sick of defending myself,
- 0:36Speaker 5: so I succumbed to and conformed to You.
- 0:41Speaker 3: Got voted out on that.
- 0:42Speaker 6: Yeah, there was a heated debate in the Facebook group
- 0:45Speaker 6: and a lot of people didn't care for it.
- 0:47Speaker 3: How about that scrubbing in life with my scrubbing in wife?
- 0:52Speaker 6: Wow?
- 0:54Speaker 3: Really nice? Wow?
- 0:56Speaker 6: Yeah there was another one she did for a little bit.
- 0:59Speaker 5: Oh yeah, it's tills and yat and the scrubbing and pad.
- 1:03Speaker 3: Yeah that's good too. They didn't like that. I like that.
- 1:06Speaker 3: Really got work on posture.
- 1:10Speaker 5: In case you don't know, Becca Tilly is not here
- 1:14Speaker 5: this week. She is in Japan, but here joining us
- 1:19Speaker 5: as a co host is my husband, Robbie Ellid. It
- 1:27Speaker 5: feels so nice and weird to say husband. I'm still
- 1:31Speaker 5: not used to it, and it's been like almost a year.
- 1:33Speaker 2: I know it is weird to say wife, right, I
- 1:35Speaker 2: think I'm used to it now you are?
- 1:37Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, yeah, you love it.
- 1:39Speaker 3: I do love it.
- 1:40Speaker 4: Yeah, Okay.
- 1:42Speaker 5: So I was thinking about just like having you as
- 1:45Speaker 5: a co host, and it's so weird because we spend
- 1:49Speaker 5: all of our time together, like we So I was like, normally,
- 1:54Speaker 5: you know, we have different things that we do over
- 1:55Speaker 5: the weekend, different things that we're watching, but like you
- 1:57Speaker 5: and I basically do the same thing.
- 1:59Speaker 4: We watch the same thing.
- 2:01Speaker 6: So Tiny's nervous about this. Yeah, she's nervous about this.
- 2:07Speaker 6: Did earlier she was like, we're gonna talk about it.
- 2:10Speaker 3: She should be nervous every day.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Why, Because I have a bone to pick with all
- 2:13Speaker 2: of you. I'm gonna do it right now at the
- 2:15Speaker 2: top of the show, and conveniently Easton is not here,
- 2:19Speaker 2: and conveniently Becca is not here. But we I've been
- 2:23Speaker 2: waiting patiently for I don't know how long it's been
- 2:26Speaker 2: to confront each of you about the unsolicited attack on
- 2:29Speaker 2: my sleep wear routine. Multi front unsolicited attack from everybody.
- 2:36Speaker 2: I was most hurt by Easton. We'll talk to Easton,
- 2:41Speaker 2: but that shocking Mark. We'll talk to you in a second.
- 2:46Speaker 2: You cut me deep.
- 2:47Speaker 3: That was there's certain things that are not meant for
- 2:51Speaker 3: the air. But it's fine.
- 2:51Speaker 2: I'm happy it's out there. I feel like a weight
- 2:54Speaker 2: has been lifted off my shoulders. But let's make something
- 2:57Speaker 2: very very clear. Thing with pants and underwear on is insane.
- 3:04Speaker 3: It's normal. That is insane.
- 3:10Speaker 6: Of people sleep with some sort some form of bottomwear.
- 3:15Speaker 2: Okay, we put some form of bottomwear, but double is
- 3:17Speaker 2: you're fully clothed, You're fully Nobody wears underwear and pajama pants.
- 3:23Speaker 3: Pajama pants are the bottom the bottom or underwear.
- 3:27Speaker 6: It's interesting because I was going to say, even if
- 3:30Speaker 6: I used to maybe sleep in just underwear when I
- 3:33Speaker 6: was a younger man, when I have kids, now I'm
- 3:35Speaker 6: wearing pants because you're up in the middle of the night,
- 3:37Speaker 6: you're going back and forth. It's it's like I don't
- 3:39Speaker 6: want them to deal with my that that.
- 3:43Speaker 2: Reminds me of a ridiculous story of when I was
- 3:45Speaker 2: a kid and I used to sleep naked, and there
- 3:46Speaker 2: was an earthquake at my house.
- 3:47Speaker 3: I'll get to that in a second.
- 3:48Speaker 2: But but and not to be this might get a
- 3:50Speaker 2: little too personal, but like don't don't you need to
- 3:52Speaker 2: be free down there? Like like I don't like free
- 3:57Speaker 2: Like okay, again, this is not about you specifically want
- 4:00Speaker 2: to talk about it, but like morning wood is a
- 4:03Speaker 2: scientific fact.
- 4:05Speaker 3: No, it's a scientific fact. Yes it is. Okay, when
- 4:09Speaker 3: you have.
- 4:09Speaker 2: Underwear and pants on, that's got to be very uncomfortable.
- 4:15Speaker 6: It's not you hyothetically, it's all uncomfortable that happens from
- 4:21Speaker 6: time to time when you have pants on, it doesn't.
- 4:23Speaker 3: It's not.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Yeah, during the day when I'm not asleep, I don't.
- 4:27Speaker 2: I don't want I mean when I'm sleeping, I want
- 4:29Speaker 2: to be comfortable. See, Okay, No, this is not we
- 4:33Speaker 2: reap what we saw.
- 4:34Speaker 6: I can't have I can't have part touching other parts.
- 4:38Speaker 6: I can't have skin on skin. I can't have any
- 4:40Speaker 6: of that stuff.
- 4:42Speaker 3: I'm not sure there's a skin on skin issue.
- 4:44Speaker 2: But that's also like I don't I don't mind the
- 4:46Speaker 2: skin on skin at all, Like like you don't like
- 4:48Speaker 2: if you're like if you're like what if your net
- 4:50Speaker 2: legs touch?
- 4:51Speaker 4: Yeah, like he puts a pill on between his life.
- 4:54Speaker 6: Yes, I can't have.
- 4:55Speaker 2: My pants underwear and.
- 4:58Speaker 6: My knees touch each other, and I'm in bad. I can't. Also, well,
- 5:03Speaker 6: that's never mind.
- 5:04Speaker 3: Like if you're wearing pants, they don't touch.
- 5:07Speaker 6: No, they do touch. There's it's it's too thin of
- 5:09Speaker 6: a layer because they were very thin, so thin sweatpants
- 5:12Speaker 6: and my knees are touching each other. It's it's too much.
- 5:16Speaker 6: I can't do it. My sister has the same affliction
- 5:19Speaker 6: we can't have. She wears the thing between her boobs.
- 5:22Speaker 3: Have you looked into this? Is this like something that
- 5:23Speaker 3: like I don't know about the way you were raised.
- 5:25Speaker 3: I don't know, but it must be I wonder why.
- 5:29Speaker 4: Yeah, well, wow, that was unexpected.
- 5:34Speaker 5: I just would like to say that I did not
- 5:36Speaker 5: share that piece of information.
- 5:37Speaker 4: Becca is the one who shared it.
- 5:39Speaker 6: And I probably jumped on it like I know you did.
- 5:42Speaker 6: That's why I'm coming for you. But it's so funny.
- 5:44Speaker 3: But Becca brought it up.
- 5:46Speaker 4: Yes it was.
- 5:47Speaker 3: It was innocent.
- 5:49Speaker 4: I was innocent.
- 5:50Speaker 3: Oh wow, this changes everything.
- 5:52Speaker 4: Yeah, I was the innocent one.
- 5:54Speaker 5: Becca brought it up because I think she had just
- 5:56Speaker 5: discovered it.
- 5:58Speaker 2: Yeah, I know when she discovered it. Because you brought
- 5:59Speaker 2: it up at a dinner.
- 6:01Speaker 7: Yes, yes, that multiple people. Yes that I will follow.
- 6:04Speaker 5: The sword, but I did not bring it up on
- 6:07Speaker 5: the podcast. That was definitely Becca.
- 6:10Speaker 2: This whole time, I thought it was you and you,
- 6:13Speaker 2: and then Easton jumped on, and I thought Becca was innocent.
- 6:15Speaker 4: No, Becca was not innocent.
- 6:17Speaker 3: You told me it was cold in here. It is
- 6:18Speaker 3: so hot. I'm like sweating.
- 6:20Speaker 4: Yeah, it's anyway very cold in here.
- 6:21Speaker 6: My favorite part is that your shoulders get cold, and
- 6:24Speaker 6: that's why you wear the shirt. That's my favorite.
- 6:26Speaker 2: But so I used to sleep when I was younger,
- 6:30Speaker 2: totally naked.
- 6:30Speaker 6: Natural.
- 6:31Speaker 2: Yeah, oh natural. I think that's the way God intended it. Okay,
- 6:35Speaker 2: But then two things happened. One I was young, I
- 6:40Speaker 2: must have been like twelve and eleven, twelve something like that.
- 6:45Speaker 2: And there was an earthquake in the middle of the night, and.
- 6:49Speaker 6: The ninety four north Ridge earthquake.
- 6:52Speaker 2: It wasn't ninety Yeah, must been ninety four. Yeah, must
- 6:54Speaker 2: be ninety four, which was fifteen, which is even worse.
- 7:00Speaker 2: Wait was it ninety four? Yeah, it must have been ninety four,
- 7:05Speaker 2: and yeah, that makes it worse.
- 7:06Speaker 3: And so I woke up.
- 7:11Speaker 2: We had a we had a we had like a
- 7:13Speaker 2: we had like a plan and the event of an earthquake,
- 7:14Speaker 2: like what do we do right as a family, And
- 7:16Speaker 2: the plan is that we all like go get under doorways.
- 7:20Speaker 2: And so I woke up, made sure I got my
- 7:22Speaker 2: younger brother who was right down the hall, and then
- 7:24Speaker 2: went to my parents' room and we were all in
- 7:27Speaker 2: the doorway, like you know, huddled up in the doorway
- 7:30Speaker 2: with each other. And it wasn't until like, you know,
- 7:33Speaker 2: minutes after when the shock of like being in the
- 7:35Speaker 2: middle of an earthquake wore off, that we realized that
- 7:37Speaker 2: I was just buttoning the only one that was but
- 7:42Speaker 2: like huddled up with my whole family. Yeah, So that
- 7:45Speaker 2: so from that moment on we changed things. But no,
- 7:49Speaker 2: the shirt we wear sheets covers for a reason if
- 7:54Speaker 2: there were you don't want to be cold in the
- 7:57Speaker 2: middle of the ninety I'm very delicate, my favorite.
- 8:01Speaker 3: But you came around on that, you said.
- 8:03Speaker 5: Yes, yes, I wore a shirt to sleep one night,
- 8:06Speaker 5: and I was like, oh, it's kind of nice, like having.
- 8:09Speaker 3: My shirts down for you. He goes, I know what
- 8:11Speaker 3: you mean, now, I know what you.
- 8:13Speaker 5: Mean now, yeah, because like normally I'm grabbing the sheets
- 8:15Speaker 5: and like putting them as far over me as humanly possible,
- 8:18Speaker 5: you know what I mean. Like, I'm like, that's just
- 8:19Speaker 5: barely little heads. Yeah, but when you wear your T shirt,
- 8:23Speaker 5: you don't have to.
- 8:23Speaker 3: Yeah. Sometimes you get it. You want an arm out.
- 8:26Speaker 3: Sometimes you just want to.
- 8:27Speaker 7: Like yeah, so it's nice.
- 8:29Speaker 2: I get it. Believe me, I get it. The visual,
- 8:33Speaker 2: the whole thing is a little bit. It's very effeminated.
- 8:36Speaker 2: It took me a while to come to terms with
- 8:38Speaker 2: the fact that it was, like, it's so funny.
- 8:43Speaker 5: And I will say, it's like one of the most
- 8:47Speaker 5: what's the word, most common question I get asked about you.
- 8:50Speaker 2: But since all this went down, I've tried to wear
- 8:53Speaker 2: like loose you know, loose boxers, and I can't do
- 8:58Speaker 2: it because of you know, freedom issies.
- 9:01Speaker 4: Yeah. Free.
- 9:02Speaker 3: I want to be free.
- 9:03Speaker 6: My boys need a house. As Kramer once said.
- 9:06Speaker 3: We want to live that. Yeah, I'm a big.
- 9:09Speaker 5: Yeah wow unexpected.
- 9:12Speaker 3: Well but EA said, I still I got it.
- 9:16Speaker 4: We will. You can have your moment with Easton as well.
- 9:19Speaker 3: But now that I know that Becca was the ring
- 9:21Speaker 3: leader here, she.
- 9:22Speaker 4: Was She wasn't the ring leader. It was an innocent mistake.
- 9:25Speaker 5: She just like said it and then they all jumped
- 9:28Speaker 5: on it, and then it was like too far gone
- 9:31Speaker 5: to put back in the box.
- 9:33Speaker 3: I don't believe it.
- 9:34Speaker 5: But you're saying it's nice. Now you're free. Yeah, nothing's
- 9:40Speaker 5: off limits anymore, is that right?
- 9:42Speaker 4: Yeah, that's right.
- 9:43Speaker 6: Well that's a good question. Actually, do you guys have
- 9:45Speaker 6: that conversation you sometimes you talking to Tanya and then
- 9:48Speaker 6: you have to say, by the way, this is not
- 9:50Speaker 6: for the podcast.
- 9:50Speaker 2: I swear well yeah, no, uh, I swear on everything.
- 9:57Speaker 2: This was like the only thing I've ever told her
- 10:00Speaker 2: between us, because I get it is ridiculous. Since then,
- 10:02Speaker 2: nothing I don't say yeah yeah, yeah, yeah. Sometimes I
- 10:06Speaker 2: say like this is not for social media, or like this.
- 10:09Speaker 4: Is just what have you ever said that?
- 10:11Speaker 2: Very rare, no, very rarely, but but I do know, yeah,
- 10:14Speaker 2: I say, don't post that. Yeah yeah, yeah, not because
- 10:17Speaker 2: like I look ugly or anything like that. I'm like,
- 10:18Speaker 2: that's just for us, or I do from time to time.
- 10:21Speaker 2: I've done it. There was a time recently I did it.
- 10:23Speaker 2: I told you to take something down. Actually, yeah, but
- 10:25Speaker 2: that's different.
- 10:26Speaker 5: Okay, Thanksgiving and you just didn't want the family to
- 10:28Speaker 5: like see.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Yea, yeah, yeah that was different. But I've done a couple.
- 10:31Speaker 2: It's very rare. It's very it's very rare.
- 10:34Speaker 4: I can't think of something I don't post or share.
- 10:37Speaker 3: That's the thing.
- 10:38Speaker 2: I don't care, like I'm I don't care. There's like
- 10:41Speaker 2: almost I don't get embarrassed.
- 10:42Speaker 4: It is very fortunate.
- 10:43Speaker 5: Like a lot of people when uh actually just at
- 10:47Speaker 5: jingle Ball, they were saying, like, it's so lucky that
- 10:49Speaker 5: you ended up with somebody like Robbie because you just
- 10:53Speaker 5: kind of in it, like you go with it, you
- 10:54Speaker 5: don't really care, You're not.
- 10:56Speaker 3: Like I think that there's that.
- 11:01Speaker 2: I don't like, not the fact that I don't get embarrassed,
- 11:03Speaker 2: or like I don't care, Like I don't care, like
- 11:05Speaker 2: I can be like the butt of a joke or
- 11:07Speaker 2: like whatever, Like I don't like it doesn't bother me.
- 11:09Speaker 2: I think it's funny and fun That's different though, because
- 11:13Speaker 2: like I was not so comfortable being so public, irrespective
- 11:17Speaker 2: of just like embarrassing or anything like that. I wasn't
- 11:20Speaker 2: so comfortable being public. And at the beginning of our relationship, I.
- 11:24Speaker 4: Know, look you now I can like film you in bed, like.
- 11:28Speaker 3: Yeah, but it's that good about it? Who Yeah, it's
- 11:32Speaker 3: good for you.
- 11:32Speaker 5: Yeah, so this is like the part of the show
- 11:36Speaker 5: where we kind of like talk about our weekend and
- 11:41Speaker 5: catch up and so what did you do this weekend?
- 11:44Speaker 7: Babe?
- 11:44Speaker 2: Yeah, we sent every second together this weekend. What did
- 11:48Speaker 2: we do this weekend? So, first of all, we had
- 11:49Speaker 2: jingle Ball on Friday.
- 11:52Speaker 4: And you're obsessed with mister Fantasy.
- 11:54Speaker 2: I I love mister Fantasy. So I had no idea
- 11:59Speaker 2: you love miss Fantasy. Now you're a little you don't
- 12:01Speaker 2: know what to make of mister Fantasy.
- 12:02Speaker 4: Yeah, like I'm on the fence about it.
- 12:04Speaker 2: I love the whole thing. I had no idea who
- 12:06Speaker 2: he was when we got there, and I didn't know
- 12:08Speaker 2: who he was until after he started to like do
- 12:10Speaker 2: his whole thing with Ryan, and I was like, right there, just.
- 12:14Speaker 5: A quick note, you are filming, you are recording yourself, right, yeah, okay, great, thanks?
- 12:20Speaker 3: Great posture. We how's your posture?
- 12:23Speaker 4: Bad?
- 12:23Speaker 3: Yeah, we got to work on our posture.
- 12:26Speaker 2: Okay, although this looks so weird, Okay, No, I love
- 12:30Speaker 2: the whole thing. First of all, I love the whole
- 12:34Speaker 2: like alter ego, concept and idea. But then this character
- 12:40Speaker 2: he created is so just incredible, from his fashion to
- 12:45Speaker 2: his like positive energy. He's so positive and funny that
- 12:49Speaker 2: he could like do things that nobody else would get
- 12:52Speaker 2: away with doing because he's just so like committed to
- 12:55Speaker 2: it and hilarious. So I thought it was great. I
- 12:59Speaker 2: love the whole thing. The energy it takes to do
- 13:03Speaker 2: that was mind blowing to you because he was NonStop
- 13:07Speaker 2: all night on and then we found out he was
- 13:11Speaker 2: at the King's game like the next night, and then
- 13:13Speaker 2: at this and that, and he's like, it's it's it's unbelievable.
- 13:17Speaker 4: Yeah, you tried to call him out, Yes, so he people.
- 13:23Speaker 6: If people don't know who mister Fantasy is, you should
- 13:25Speaker 6: give him a Google. But the word is that it's
- 13:27Speaker 6: the actor kJ Appa from Riverdale who's doing a new
- 13:30Speaker 6: character trying to launch a music career.
- 13:32Speaker 3: Is he's not.
- 13:35Speaker 6: Mister Fantasy who has the identical tattoos the kJ Appa.
- 13:38Speaker 6: But anyway, it's just kind of an interesting social media
- 13:40Speaker 6: phenomenon right now.
- 13:41Speaker 3: Yes, and now we're chalking out on TikTok because he's unreal.
- 13:45Speaker 5: I was like, hey, mister Fantasy, I just want can
- 13:49Speaker 5: you tell your friend that.
- 13:50Speaker 4: He was good in the Jonas Brothers movie? And he
- 13:53Speaker 4: was like, what friend?
- 13:55Speaker 7: What friend Joe.
- 13:56Speaker 4: Jonas and I was like, no, kJ Appa, he did
- 14:00Speaker 4: not he.
- 14:01Speaker 5: Did Yeah, he did not break it fully in it. Yeah,
- 14:05Speaker 5: So that was definitely a highlight of of jingle Ball
- 14:07Speaker 5: for sure because.
- 14:08Speaker 2: Nie of us knew who he was, so like, it
- 14:10Speaker 2: was just so shocking because we're in uh, we're in
- 14:12Speaker 2: the like gifting sweet suite and there's probably like fifty
- 14:16Speaker 2: sixty people in there, but it's very like calm and
- 14:19Speaker 2: subdued and low key. It's not like everyone is just
- 14:22Speaker 2: like minding their business, you know, like doing their thing.
- 14:24Speaker 2: And then Ryan comes in. And when Ryan comes in,
- 14:28Speaker 2: it's like, you know, he does a he has a
- 14:29Speaker 2: he has a routine that he's got, you know that
- 14:31Speaker 2: he does and says hi to everybody. And in the
- 14:33Speaker 2: middle of like this out of nowhere, mister Fantasy just
- 14:36Speaker 2: blows the whole thing up, starts screaming from the background.
- 14:40Speaker 3: Royan Seacrest, Royan Secret.
- 14:42Speaker 2: And then like because it's just it's it was really cool. Yeah, yeah,
- 14:45Speaker 2: it was cool. Yeah, And it was a great introduction
- 14:47Speaker 2: to the guy.
- 14:48Speaker 6: And how is it a jingle ball watching Tanya in
- 14:50Speaker 6: her element, like that is her wa and she's and
- 14:53Speaker 6: she's working and she is.
- 14:54Speaker 3: That is that A I love it. I've always loved it.
- 14:56Speaker 2: I think it's like, uh, I think it's really important
- 15:00Speaker 2: to admire your partner separate from like how much you
- 15:04Speaker 2: love her or him or care about him. I think
- 15:07Speaker 2: you have to admire them as like an individual. And
- 15:10Speaker 2: watching Tanya in her element, like I admire her talent.
- 15:14Speaker 3: Her grace, her.
- 15:18Speaker 2: Energy, you know, and just yeah, I just admire your
- 15:24Speaker 2: you and what you do and how you do it,
- 15:26Speaker 2: not having been like a trained broadcast or anything, and
- 15:29Speaker 2: just like having just on the sheer like strength of
- 15:33Speaker 2: your energy frankly creating this world and career for yourself
- 15:42Speaker 2: and then seeing it kind of wherever it is jingle
- 15:45Speaker 2: ball or wherever.
- 15:46Speaker 3: I love that.
- 15:48Speaker 6: And you've never got to see him in his element, right,
- 15:50Speaker 6: You've never been in court to watch him.
- 15:52Speaker 3: I don't go to court, you don't.
- 15:54Speaker 2: She sees elements a lot because what I do is
- 15:57Speaker 2: like conference calls or I sit in my opposite draft
- 16:00Speaker 2: documents or negotiate deals, and oftentimes she is like within
- 16:05Speaker 2: earshot of calls.
- 16:06Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, So I do see.
- 16:08Speaker 5: Him as he's a big like pacer when he's on
- 16:13Speaker 5: pacing around the house, pacing around the room. Yeah, talks
- 16:18Speaker 5: with his hands a lot.
- 16:20Speaker 3: Exciting. It's definitely not exact.
- 16:21Speaker 5: Definitely actually like feel bad sometimes, Like when I hear
- 16:24Speaker 5: him on calls, like, I'm just like.
- 16:27Speaker 4: It just sounds so painful.
- 16:29Speaker 2: Yeah, it's really it's that, I mean, and that's why
- 16:31Speaker 2: the like so like at the end of every day
- 16:33Speaker 2: we come home and we're like, you know, how was
- 16:35Speaker 2: your day? Like this is the most important part of
- 16:36Speaker 2: our days to tell each other how each other our
- 16:38Speaker 2: days was. If I don't properly tell her how our
- 16:40Speaker 2: day was, like, that's bad. My days are so boring,
- 16:44Speaker 2: Like her days are so exciting. She's interviewing this person,
- 16:48Speaker 2: that person. You know, She's there's all kinds of exciting stuff.
- 16:51Speaker 2: For me, is I'm sitting in office negotiating a dealer,
- 16:54Speaker 2: drafting a long document all day.
- 16:57Speaker 3: But maybe I get like a nice lunch.
- 17:02Speaker 5: I always ask him at the end of the day
- 17:03Speaker 5: and he's like, yeah, my day was fine. I'm like
- 17:05Speaker 5: I need more than that, Like what did you have
- 17:06Speaker 5: for lunch?
- 17:07Speaker 4: Who did you talk to? What deals did you close?
- 17:10Speaker 2: Like I can't tell you most of what I do.
- 17:12Speaker 2: I mean, I can tell you things I on a
- 17:13Speaker 2: non non descript basis. But yeah, I mean, yeah, I'm
- 17:17Speaker 2: saying their eyes glaze over.
- 17:19Speaker 3: Yeah, I just say comparatively, it's so boring.
- 17:22Speaker 5: That's my favorite part of the day, is like when
- 17:24Speaker 5: we get home at the end of the night and
- 17:26Speaker 5: like share about our days.
- 17:27Speaker 4: It's my favorite.
- 17:29Speaker 3: Even though I don't give you much to I get
- 17:31Speaker 3: it out of you.
- 17:33Speaker 4: I keep going until I get what I want.
- 17:35Speaker 2: I do usually remember things days later. That crazy thing
- 17:40Speaker 2: that happened that day. Yeah, that is a weird thing.
- 17:42Speaker 3: I don't know why I don't remember.
- 17:43Speaker 6: Yeah, let's take a break, and then I have a
- 17:45Speaker 6: question for Robbie dealing with the things that she makes
- 17:49Speaker 6: you do and that you go along with but probably
- 17:51Speaker 6: don't actually want to go along with. And that's my
- 17:54Speaker 6: d's for you. And we'll do that when we get back.
- 18:12Speaker 4: And we're back.
- 18:14Speaker 7: Scrub a dub duba.
- 18:17Speaker 6: That was my fault. That was my fault.
- 18:19Speaker 3: Scrub a dub dub. All right, Robbie.
- 18:24Speaker 6: Tanya sent us over and we talked about this with Ryan.
- 18:27Speaker 6: The December marriage challenge. Oh, yes, you didn't really want
- 18:32Speaker 6: to do this, right, Like this was when she presents
- 18:33Speaker 6: this to you. What goes through your head. She's like,
- 18:35Speaker 6: here's what we're going to do. It's a different thing
- 18:36Speaker 6: every day for all thirty one days of December. It's
- 18:39Speaker 6: a different marriage homework assignment. What goes through your head?
- 18:43Speaker 3: I don't remember what it is? Yeah, I'm sware.
- 18:48Speaker 2: This came up a few days ago someone hosted on
- 18:51Speaker 2: her Instagram or somewhere on social media in her universe.
- 18:54Speaker 3: Maybe it was a iHeart Facebook group like.
- 18:57Speaker 2: We need Robbie and Tanya to do the marriage challenge.
- 19:01Speaker 2: And I'd screenshot her and send it to her and said,
- 19:04Speaker 2: what is the marriage challenge?
- 19:05Speaker 3: And she apparently sent this to me the day before.
- 19:06Speaker 3: I don't remember it. I don't know what it is.
- 19:08Speaker 3: What is it? Should we do it right now?
- 19:09Speaker 5: So it was like a thing I saw on Instagram.
- 19:11Speaker 5: I said to you and I said we should do this,
- 19:13Speaker 5: and you said yeah, for sure.
- 19:14Speaker 4: And then the problem is I never followed through.
- 19:17Speaker 6: Well I have what is it? Every single day? Like December? First,
- 19:21Speaker 6: say one thing you admire about your spouse?
- 19:23Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, okay, I do remember that. Yeah yeah, okay.
- 19:27Speaker 4: Last it didn't last, but you were into it.
- 19:30Speaker 2: I mean, listen, would I choose to do those things myself? No,
- 19:34Speaker 2: but I'm very happy to do it if it is
- 19:37Speaker 2: meaningful to you, Like.
- 19:38Speaker 6: Yeah, but it's not meaningful to him.
- 19:40Speaker 2: Correct, No, but it's but it do you have that
- 19:43Speaker 2: it's me But okay, hold on hold, it's not like again,
- 19:46Speaker 2: I would never choose to do that. It's not something wet,
- 19:50Speaker 2: never a milliona years. But but that doesn't mean that
- 19:55Speaker 2: it's not meaning so like, there's so many things that
- 19:59Speaker 2: you I mean, there's small sacrifices, and there's big sacrifices
- 20:02Speaker 2: sacrifice for love. But it's but it's meaningful to make
- 20:08Speaker 2: to do something for your partner even if you don't
- 20:11Speaker 2: necessarily want to do it, or even more meaningful if you.
- 20:13Speaker 3: Don't want to do it. I think, such as walking
- 20:16Speaker 3: uphill instead of walking. No.
- 20:18Speaker 5: No, like family meetings, like I actually think like you
- 20:21Speaker 5: would never do those yourself, but I do think you
- 20:23Speaker 5: actually enjoy them.
- 20:24Speaker 2: No, I would do family meetings. I think family meetings
- 20:26Speaker 2: are really really important and great. I love like when
- 20:29Speaker 2: we like plan and like coordinate things. I love that
- 20:32Speaker 2: part of it. But we got into like a couples therapy.
- 20:34Speaker 3: Part of it. Far we're gonna do it. I like
- 20:39Speaker 3: the planning coordinating. No, we need it. You got to
- 20:41Speaker 3: talk to the microphones planning and the coordinating. We need it.
- 20:43Speaker 4: Yeah, thank you.
- 20:45Speaker 3: Yeah, no, he likes it. Oh I I called them
- 20:49Speaker 3: sometimes he does.
- 20:51Speaker 7: Well, it's rare, I do.
- 20:53Speaker 4: Okay. So there's a couple of things like we never
- 20:56Speaker 4: had you want after the wedding. But I don't know,
- 20:58Speaker 4: it just feels like the wedding was so far away
- 21:00Speaker 4: from now.
- 21:01Speaker 6: Can you believe that has been.
- 21:04Speaker 1: Long?
- 21:05Speaker 4: Nine months? It's so crazy.
- 21:10Speaker 5: I feel like there were some questions that I asked
- 21:12Speaker 5: on my Instagram for people, like ask people if they
- 21:15Speaker 5: wanted to ask you questions? Yeah, and do you mind
- 21:18Speaker 5: if I ask you a couple of those?
- 21:19Speaker 4: Right now?
- 21:20Speaker 3: You can ask me whatever you want, Okay.
- 21:22Speaker 5: Was it hard having a Christmas tree? I'm Jewish marrying
- 21:25Speaker 5: a non Jew, and it feels wrong.
- 21:27Speaker 3: No, Christmas trees are amazing.
- 21:28Speaker 2: First of all, I'm very reformed Jew, so I'm not
- 21:32Speaker 2: like super ultra religious. I'm a high holiday Jew basically,
- 21:36Speaker 2: and you know, you, Christmas is like in a in
- 21:40Speaker 2: large part like almost like non nomin I don't know
- 21:44Speaker 2: what the word is, but like yeah, it's yeah, exactly,
- 21:47Speaker 2: it's you know, it's there's something just like that is
- 21:51Speaker 2: generally applicable to the holidays.
- 21:53Speaker 3: You grow up every.
- 21:54Speaker 2: Year going skiing, you know, in the winter, and you
- 21:58Speaker 2: know that's full of like Christmas trees and that Christmas
- 22:02Speaker 2: energy and that Christmas vibe. All the movies you watch
- 22:05Speaker 2: like as a kid growing up or like around Christmas.
- 22:07Speaker 2: So like the feel good part of Christmas is great,
- 22:10Speaker 2: and I just think it's an awesome holiday. So was
- 22:13Speaker 2: it weird for a Christmas tree?
- 22:14Speaker 3: No, I liked it.
- 22:15Speaker 2: And the first time we did a Christmas tree was
- 22:18Speaker 2: was like actually just like again a really like special, meaningful,
- 22:21Speaker 2: like bonding moment for us.
- 22:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 22:22Speaker 5: The first Christmas tree ever decorated was it was right
- 22:26Speaker 5: before COVID, so it's December between.
- 22:28Speaker 3: Somber, Yeah, December.
- 22:30Speaker 5: It was the first Christmas tree he'd ever decorated in
- 22:32Speaker 5: his life, which I thought was so like special, and
- 22:35Speaker 5: he did it.
- 22:35Speaker 3: With me, and I went and I bought.
- 22:37Speaker 2: I went to like Creighton Beryl I'll never forget, and
- 22:40Speaker 2: I bought all these ornaments to bring right but like
- 22:43Speaker 2: some of them were like whatever, some of them were
- 22:45Speaker 2: like meaningful, and then we bought like.
- 22:47Speaker 5: Matching ones because he was like, they told me you
- 22:49Speaker 5: have to get two or three of the same ones.
- 22:51Speaker 3: I was like, yeah, they got me, they got me.
- 22:55Speaker 4: It was really cute though.
- 22:56Speaker 3: That was great.
- 22:56Speaker 2: No, I love it and and you know, we blend it.
- 23:00Speaker 2: We like do like a Christmas tree, but it's like,
- 23:04Speaker 2: you know, maybe not red and green, it's like white
- 23:06Speaker 2: and blue and then we have like you.
- 23:08Speaker 3: Known, that's all. Yeah, it's great.
- 23:12Speaker 6: In my neighborhood that decorates their whole house white, blue,
- 23:16Speaker 6: Manora's Star of David. Fantastic. Yeah, I want everyone to
- 23:20Speaker 6: decorate their house this month for whatever whatever theme you
- 23:23Speaker 6: want to do.
- 23:23Speaker 7: Yeah, it's great.
- 23:25Speaker 5: What's the best thing, Tanya that's me has done for
- 23:27Speaker 5: your boys?
- 23:28Speaker 4: I'm a bonus mama too.
- 23:30Speaker 2: Oh my god, you you know you've done. I'm gonna this.
- 23:34Speaker 2: I'm gonna try to get emotional, but that's going to
- 23:38Speaker 2: be impossible. But you've done so much for them. I mean,
- 23:41Speaker 2: you know, there's the kind of express things that you do.
- 23:48Speaker 2: So like the fact that you write a note every
- 23:51Speaker 2: morning for Sebby that is like topical and has to
- 23:54Speaker 2: do with whatever's going up. That's topical and has to
- 23:57Speaker 2: do with whatever's going on in our lives. Is unbelievable
- 24:02Speaker 2: and you would do it for Oliver if you wanted it,
- 24:03Speaker 2: but Oliver is too cool for that now. But and
- 24:08Speaker 2: this is the the emotional part, more than like the
- 24:12Speaker 2: things you do on a day to day basis, it's
- 24:16Speaker 2: the energy that you've created and the security and and
- 24:25Speaker 2: feeling of home and family that you've brought to our house,
- 24:34Speaker 2: including you know, spearheading the sunny getting sunny. So I
- 24:43Speaker 2: think I think you do a lot of very constantly thoughtful,
- 24:49Speaker 2: intentional things that are you know that you that is
- 24:52Speaker 2: just kind of like who you are. But what that
- 24:55Speaker 2: has meant from an from again, from an energy perspective
- 24:59Speaker 2: in our our house and and our family, I think
- 25:03Speaker 2: is the most important.
- 25:06Speaker 3: Is there like tissue?
- 25:08Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 25:09Speaker 6: Otherwise I was like, sure.
- 25:12Speaker 4: Not gonna feel so nice.
- 25:14Speaker 3: But it's not bad.
- 25:15Speaker 5: Oh my gosh, that made me emotional. Okay, I'm just
- 25:19Speaker 5: a little more lighthearted. Where do you shop? Always looking
- 25:23Speaker 5: so put together?
- 25:26Speaker 3: I don't shop. I don't know what I did.
- 25:27Speaker 2: First of all, I'm in a style crisis right now.
- 25:29Speaker 2: Can we talk about that more than where I shop? Yeah,
- 25:33Speaker 2: I'm forty six years old and like, up until two
- 25:38Speaker 2: years ago or a year ago, I was wearing like
- 25:40Speaker 2: super super tight pants and had a certain thing, and
- 25:44Speaker 2: now like that's not cool anymore.
- 25:46Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 25:46Speaker 2: Maybe that was not cool for a couple of years
- 25:48Speaker 2: when I was still doing it, but so now we
- 25:49Speaker 2: got to wear like baggy pants or like looser pants, and.
- 25:53Speaker 3: I don't know, like how to make all that work.
- 25:54Speaker 3: So I don't know.
- 25:55Speaker 2: I feel like I'm in a soul christ. I feel
- 25:56Speaker 2: like an eight year old when I wear baggy pants.
- 25:58Speaker 2: But uh no, I don't know my shop. I fall
- 26:01Speaker 2: for all the like instagram like stores and just like
- 26:05Speaker 2: whenever I have time, I like, but I hate like
- 26:07Speaker 2: actually shopping.
- 26:08Speaker 3: But that's very nice that you think I have.
- 26:09Speaker 6: Good Are you're transitioning to a different phase in your life?
- 26:12Speaker 3: Oh?
- 26:12Speaker 4: Yes, for sure?
- 26:13Speaker 6: Yeah yeah have you noticed it? Do you feel like
- 26:15Speaker 6: he dresses too young?
- 26:17Speaker 4: No, I don't think you're.
- 26:18Speaker 5: Just too young, But like, I mean, his pants used
- 26:20Speaker 5: to be tighter than mine and now he wears like
- 26:21Speaker 5: baggy pants.
- 26:22Speaker 3: It was crazy in hindsight, how tight my pants are.
- 26:25Speaker 7: It's crazy.
- 26:27Speaker 4: So I like the evolution good good, Yeah.
- 26:30Speaker 2: But I gotta be able to pull it off in
- 26:31Speaker 2: an elevated fashion. So if anyone has any tips out there,
- 26:34Speaker 2: so how to do that?
- 26:35Speaker 5: Yeah, well you refuse to put headphones on, and you
- 26:38Speaker 5: keep not speaking in a microphone.
- 26:41Speaker 3: When they miss it's just like it's like talking.
- 26:43Speaker 4: Like this, and it's like this and this and.
- 26:45Speaker 7: This and this.
- 26:46Speaker 3: I need a clip on, a clip on.
- 26:50Speaker 6: He didn't want to wear headphones because they didn't want
- 26:52Speaker 6: to look silly on the camera. The deal. Yeah, the
- 26:54Speaker 6: hair looks nice, but you're in a radio studio that
- 26:57Speaker 6: people wear headphones here.
- 26:59Speaker 2: I know, but I think we got to I think
- 27:01Speaker 2: that that we need to not look like we're in
- 27:03Speaker 2: a radio studio.
- 27:04Speaker 3: That's what I think.
- 27:04Speaker 5: Yeah, Robbie has some pointers for the Scrubbing In podcast,
- 27:07Speaker 5: which we can't also get into.
- 27:10Speaker 4: How was Robbie's first time meeting Ryan?
- 27:14Speaker 2: Do you remember your first This is the funniest thing
- 27:15Speaker 2: is I don't remember the which is so weird that
- 27:19Speaker 2: I don't remember the first time meeting Ryan. I feel
- 27:20Speaker 2: like I would remember that, but I've I've had the
- 27:25Speaker 2: opportunity to like spend an okay amount of time and
- 27:27Speaker 2: they're gonna hang out with him a few times. Uh,
- 27:31Speaker 2: and I you know, it's just he's he's the man.
- 27:34Speaker 2: I mean, Ryan's the best. We get along really well.
- 27:36Speaker 2: We're around the same age, we know a lot of
- 27:40Speaker 2: the same people.
- 27:43Speaker 4: I feel like he likes you better than me.
- 27:45Speaker 3: I think that.
- 27:46Speaker 2: I think that you're you're an employee, You're an employee,
- 27:50Speaker 2: co worker.
- 27:52Speaker 3: You're a co worker.
- 27:53Speaker 2: But I'm saying, like, it's a it's a it's a
- 27:54Speaker 2: working relationship. You guys are friends too, no doubt about it.
- 27:58Speaker 2: But like that, I mean, that's it's different. Yeah, but yeah, no,
- 28:02Speaker 2: we get along. I think, you know, Ryan's a really
- 28:05Speaker 2: good dude. He's always been, I mean, another guy that
- 28:08Speaker 2: I like, admire so much and love like any chance
- 28:11Speaker 2: I get to like talk to him or learn from him,
- 28:13Speaker 2: which I've had a few opportunities, thankfully.
- 28:17Speaker 3: I love that. Yeah, No, we got a lot. Ryan's
- 28:19Speaker 3: the best.
- 28:19Speaker 6: Do you remember the night we met?
- 28:22Speaker 3: Yeah, I do remember the night we.
- 28:23Speaker 2: Met outside outside of Ryan's house, That's right.
- 28:26Speaker 3: I do remember that I was picking up Tanya.
- 28:29Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 28:31Speaker 3: That's that's crazy. I remember that.
- 28:33Speaker 6: I remember that very well, and I remember ever about
- 28:35Speaker 6: thirty seconds being like, oh this guy's this is a
- 28:37Speaker 6: good guy.
- 28:38Speaker 3: I remember you were like very protective of Tanya.
- 28:40Speaker 6: Very Yeah, it's a long time. It's a long time. Yeah,
- 28:44Speaker 6: and a lot of duds, yeah, well a lot and so,
- 28:47Speaker 6: but when I met you, it was I got non
- 28:49Speaker 6: dud energy almost instantly.
- 28:53Speaker 4: Thank you, almost instantly.
- 28:56Speaker 6: Oh sure, what do you mean?
- 28:58Speaker 3: There was a period of time where he thought I
- 28:59Speaker 3: was a.
- 29:02Speaker 7: What early days?
- 29:04Speaker 6: No, I didn't. No.
- 29:06Speaker 5: This is this one that kind of kept coming up
- 29:08Speaker 5: a lot too. What's the best advice for a woman
- 29:10Speaker 5: getting into a marriage with a man with kids? That's
- 29:15Speaker 5: a tough And then on the heels of that, when
- 29:20Speaker 5: did he show that he had kids while navigating dating?
- 29:22Speaker 4: I'm a single mom.
- 29:23Speaker 6: Why don't we take a break and you can think
- 29:25Speaker 6: about this. Yeah, we'll come back with the answer. That's
- 29:27Speaker 6: you know, people will want to hear that, So they're
- 29:29Speaker 6: gonna hear all these wonderful goods and services, and then
- 29:32Speaker 6: they kind of back and here Robbie's answer. Here we go,
- 29:51Speaker 6: and we're back.
- 29:52Speaker 5: Okay, So we left you hanging on a big cliffhanger.
- 29:56Speaker 5: There were a couple questions about what's the best advice
- 29:59Speaker 5: for a woman getting in to a marriage with a
- 30:01Speaker 5: man with kids, and then kind of dovetailing into when
- 30:05Speaker 5: did he share that he had kids while navigating dating.
- 30:07Speaker 4: I'm a single mom.
- 30:09Speaker 2: So yeah, let's start with the second one. I deny.
- 30:15Speaker 2: I mean I it was on my hinch profile.
- 30:17Speaker 5: Yeah, you you had photos with the kids on your
- 30:20Speaker 5: dating app.
- 30:21Speaker 2: Yeah, I think, and I put, I think I'm a dad.
- 30:23Speaker 2: Whatever I was not for me, it was important for
- 30:26Speaker 2: people to know right away. I mean, it wasn't. There
- 30:28Speaker 2: was no like delay in telling someone I had kids.
- 30:36Speaker 2: So yeah, so that's the answer to the second one.
- 30:37Speaker 2: I think on the first one, like, what's the best advice?
- 30:43Speaker 2: Oh man, you know, that's something that I think that
- 30:48Speaker 2: is probably deserves like a much more thoughtful, long, long answer,
- 30:55Speaker 2: and probably books can be written about it. But I
- 30:57Speaker 2: think the I think the best advice for a mom,
- 31:02Speaker 2: for a woman coming into a relationship with a guy
- 31:06Speaker 2: with kids, is to be to be patient, to be patient,
- 31:13Speaker 2: and to trust the guidance advice of the guy. You know,
- 31:28Speaker 2: everybody's kids are different, boys and girls are different depending
- 31:33Speaker 2: what age they are, you know, matters. Each individual child
- 31:37Speaker 2: is so different and hopefully you know the parent, I mean,
- 31:42Speaker 2: definitely the parent is best suited to know kind of
- 31:49Speaker 2: you know, what they're how their kid is dealing with
- 31:52Speaker 2: with everything, you know, how close you are to the
- 31:54Speaker 2: to the divorce, or maybe it's not a divorce, but
- 31:59Speaker 2: all that kind of factors in. And but I think
- 32:06Speaker 2: despite all of that, I think that it is a
- 32:10Speaker 2: transition and something that the kids need space and time
- 32:18Speaker 2: to kind of naturally accept in a positive way for themselves.
- 32:30Speaker 2: And so yeah, so patience I think is probably the
- 32:33Speaker 2: best advice as maybe non helpful is that is?
- 32:40Speaker 3: I mean, what do you think the best advice is?
- 32:41Speaker 3: Han't been on the other side.
- 32:42Speaker 5: Of it, Yeah, I would say, like I feel like
- 32:47Speaker 5: I trusted you a lot in that process, Like I
- 32:50Speaker 5: trusted your your approach, your way of of like meeting them,
- 32:55Speaker 5: when to meet them, how to meet them. You know,
- 32:58Speaker 5: I wanted to bring them gifts when I first met them,
- 33:00Speaker 5: and you were like, no, I don't want it to
- 33:01Speaker 5: feel like you're like trying to buy them.
- 33:03Speaker 4: So we thought of like thoughtful.
- 33:05Speaker 5: Things that I could bring them that weren't necessarily gifts,
- 33:07Speaker 5: but like thoughtful trinkets, if you will, which I thought
- 33:12Speaker 5: was better and like a good approach. So I kind
- 33:16Speaker 5: of I would just kind of lean on you. I mean,
- 33:19Speaker 5: I think it's interesting because our situation was different because
- 33:24Speaker 5: it was.
- 33:24Speaker 4: In the middle of a pandemic. I don't think.
- 33:25Speaker 5: I mean, we made it like nine months until I
- 33:27Speaker 5: met the kids, and I feel like it wouldn't have
- 33:29Speaker 5: been nine months if there wasn't like a pandemic in
- 33:31Speaker 5: the middle.
- 33:31Speaker 2: I think also the nine months was was like probably
- 33:36Speaker 2: you know that that was something.
- 33:38Speaker 3: So you know, at the time of my separation, my
- 33:44Speaker 3: divorce kind of.
- 33:48Speaker 2: There was a rule that we both that me and
- 33:53Speaker 2: Max talked about that we wanted to follow, which was basically,
- 33:57Speaker 2: we don't want to introduce our kids to like a
- 34:01Speaker 2: revolving door of like others, right of like of like
- 34:04Speaker 2: girls or guys or whatever. And so we you know,
- 34:10Speaker 2: the idea was like un less and until you're like
- 34:13Speaker 2: really ready to like really be committed to someone, like
- 34:17Speaker 2: practically engagement, we shouldn't introduce the kids to anybody.
- 34:23Speaker 3: That was probably yeah.
- 34:24Speaker 5: But to be fair, I was your girlfriend and I'd
- 34:27Speaker 5: been your girlfriend for like eight months at the time.
- 34:30Speaker 3: No.
- 34:30Speaker 2: No, I think my point is to say that that
- 34:32Speaker 2: was probably wrong because I don't think you could even
- 34:34Speaker 2: get to the point of like commitment or like engagement level,
- 34:37Speaker 2: like I know I want to This is like the
- 34:39Speaker 2: you know, the woman I'm going to be with without
- 34:41Speaker 2: having integrated your kids already and seeing how that whole
- 34:44Speaker 2: scenario works. So it was it was the reason it
- 34:47Speaker 2: took so long was yes, pandemic related, but also just
- 34:54Speaker 2: that was kind of like a mistake and you know,
- 34:56Speaker 2: we didn't know what we were doing. I didn't know
- 34:57Speaker 2: what I was doing. We're kind of learning it as
- 34:58Speaker 2: we go, all intentions, and I think that, you know,
- 35:03Speaker 2: despite maybe that being wrong or maybe not the best approach,
- 35:07Speaker 2: I think that it's still like worked to our benefit.
- 35:10Speaker 3: I think that.
- 35:13Speaker 2: The slow introduction and then even from there like very
- 35:17Speaker 2: kind of like intentional integration and like.
- 35:21Speaker 4: Yeah, all I'm saying is I think nine months was
- 35:23Speaker 4: too long.
- 35:24Speaker 7: No, no, I hear you, because.
- 35:24Speaker 5: I think there was damage on my end where I
- 35:27Speaker 5: felt like you had two lives and I was like
- 35:29Speaker 5: I'm done with that.
- 35:29Speaker 2: Well, that was like the biggest tension in our relationship
- 35:32Speaker 2: and like the reason we broke up and like all
- 35:34Speaker 2: this so like it was like, yeah, listen, that was
- 35:38Speaker 2: very hard. It's very hard to navigate these things. I
- 35:40Speaker 2: mean I could talk I think that this is something
- 35:42Speaker 2: that you could really like talk about for I mean
- 35:44Speaker 2: you could you know, or write about for you know,
- 35:48Speaker 2: at length.
- 35:50Speaker 5: Because I do understand when you say be patient, because
- 35:52Speaker 5: I wanted to meet them, like, you know, two months
- 35:55Speaker 5: in Okay, Yeah, sure, maybe that's too soon, but then
- 35:58Speaker 5: I feel like to wait nine months was also problematic.
- 36:01Speaker 2: Yeah, but patient, being patient good. I wasn't even I
- 36:04Speaker 2: didn't even mean it about that. I do think that
- 36:05Speaker 2: that's part of being patient. I met, like, even once
- 36:08Speaker 2: you meet them, be patient with them, go right, like,
- 36:11Speaker 2: be patient with them, give them the time and space
- 36:14Speaker 2: to like it's it's hard.
- 36:19Speaker 3: Again.
- 36:19Speaker 2: I can only talk about a divorce situation, but there's
- 36:21Speaker 2: probably numerous situations like this, either widowed or just someone
- 36:24Speaker 2: who has kids, you know, outside of marriage and like
- 36:27Speaker 2: as a single parent, father, whatever. There's probably other scenarios.
- 36:32Speaker 2: I don't know, but in our scenario, there is a
- 36:39Speaker 2: natural defense that they're gonna have against somebody coming another
- 36:42Speaker 2: woman coming into their lives in like a parental kind
- 36:45Speaker 2: of capacity, and so you have to be patient with
- 36:48Speaker 2: that and you have to, you know, let them work
- 36:52Speaker 2: through that.
- 36:52Speaker 3: And I think that we've done it as.
- 36:54Speaker 2: A very commendable job, as best a job we can.
- 36:56Speaker 2: You have been incredible throughout that process. Your relationship with
- 37:00Speaker 2: my boys is unreal, Like I think the powers it
- 37:06Speaker 2: be every day for that.
- 37:10Speaker 3: What you please show you know what I mean, that's
- 37:15Speaker 3: that's the most important thing to me in this world.
- 37:17Speaker 3: So let me know what.
- 37:20Speaker 5: The Okay, this is a nice, easy, breezy one. What's
- 37:25Speaker 5: the best part about being married to Tanya? And what
- 37:28Speaker 5: is the most surprising part.
- 37:30Speaker 3: I'm being married to?
- 37:31Speaker 2: So being married to Tanya, my life is like, uh,
- 37:35Speaker 2: every every day is like an episode of I Love Lucy.
- 37:38Speaker 3: I think Tanya is.
- 37:40Speaker 2: Really I mean, it's absolutely Tanya is the modern day
- 37:44Speaker 2: Lucy O ball.
- 37:46Speaker 3: Okay it is.
- 37:51Speaker 2: It's just exciting and funny and you know, meaningful. And
- 37:58Speaker 2: I know that I have a partner who has my
- 38:00Speaker 2: back always. But yeah, I know it's a every day
- 38:03Speaker 2: as an episode of I.
- 38:04Speaker 6: Love I've always said that because this week Tanya goes
- 38:08Speaker 6: to prenatal yoga. Yeah, Tanya tries to make home and
- 38:12Speaker 6: milk at home, like every and it's hilarious.
- 38:17Speaker 2: This week Tanya gets blacklisted from hot at yoga.
- 38:20Speaker 6: Oh yeah, every week a new plot.
- 38:26Speaker 3: Yeah, and that you know, And that's what life is about.
- 38:28Speaker 2: It's about keeping it exciting and interesting and I hit
- 38:32Speaker 2: the jackpot there.
- 38:33Speaker 5: The thing that's so crazy is like I'm literally obsessed
- 38:36Speaker 5: with you, Like I spend every minute with you and
- 38:40Speaker 5: I still can't get enough. Like I was so excited
- 38:42Speaker 5: that you were co hosting the podcast this week because like,
- 38:45Speaker 5: obviously I'm not with you when I'm at work, and
- 38:47Speaker 5: I was like, oh, yeah, that means he's like gonna
- 38:48Speaker 5: come with me to work. Like I love doing everything
- 38:51Speaker 5: with you, I love doing nothing with you. I love
- 38:53Speaker 5: watching TV with you like I've never I've never had
- 38:58Speaker 5: a partner that I'm just like so obsessed with, but
- 39:02Speaker 5: somebody that I admire so much, also somebody that I'm
- 39:04Speaker 5: so like sexually obsessed with, Like I just everything about you,
- 39:08Speaker 5: I'm just like obsessed with.
- 39:09Speaker 2: Well okay, but fine the same. But what are your
- 39:12Speaker 2: like pet peeves or what are like the things that
- 39:15Speaker 2: annoy you? I already know one, but let's see if
- 39:16Speaker 2: you say it.
- 39:17Speaker 5: It is the most obnoxious thing, and it's like the
- 39:20Speaker 5: biggest turn off. It is the biggest turnoff. I never
- 39:25Speaker 5: thought you could possibly turn me off until you started
- 39:28Speaker 5: eating sunflower seeds and it is so disgusting and he
- 39:33Speaker 5: can't put them down like, you can't have once you start,
- 39:36Speaker 5: you can't FaceTime over like trying to book a flight.
- 39:39Speaker 3: No, I have fifty in my mouth, like spitting them.
- 39:41Speaker 4: Into a cup, And I'm like, can you not just
- 39:43Speaker 4: do that? I'm on a phone call with you for
- 39:45Speaker 4: two minutes.
- 39:45Speaker 3: Can you already in there so spit them out before
- 39:48Speaker 3: you call me? Don't?
- 39:50Speaker 2: I don't know why that gives you the the other two.
- 39:52Speaker 2: I get the other two. I get the flip flopping
- 39:55Speaker 2: flip flops.
- 39:56Speaker 5: Yeah, oh my gosh. And he walks in flip flops.
- 39:59Speaker 5: It's like, you know those people that are not self
- 40:01Speaker 5: aware that they're making that plan.
- 40:04Speaker 4: It's so embarrassing.
- 40:05Speaker 3: It all comes back to being free.
- 40:07Speaker 4: Yeah, no, that don't be so free when you're wearing I.
- 40:10Speaker 3: Don't want to live in a world where I can't
- 40:12Speaker 3: just flop away.
- 40:14Speaker 6: No, you're out and that's walking down the street.
- 40:18Speaker 5: Just thankfully in our relationship, you don't really wear flip flops.
- 40:23Speaker 3: No, No, I don't shoes.
- 40:25Speaker 4: Yeah, so this is it.
- 40:26Speaker 6: That's great.
- 40:26Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, this is a rare, rare occurrence. But when
- 40:29Speaker 5: his flip flops are flippity flop.
- 40:31Speaker 3: Will always be only on vacation.
- 40:32Speaker 6: Yeah, it makes sense.
- 40:34Speaker 4: Yeah. What's the third one?
- 40:35Speaker 2: Uh? The first of all, they're called flip flops for
- 40:39Speaker 2: a reason that name like literally, that's what you're supposed
- 40:44Speaker 2: to do.
- 40:45Speaker 5: You're conscientious and lift them up off the floor, not
- 40:48Speaker 5: flippity flop.
- 40:49Speaker 3: Do you do you flop?
- 40:51Speaker 6: I'm not really, I'm with you on open toad shoes.
- 40:54Speaker 6: Oh yeah, and I think I typically were slides instead
- 40:57Speaker 6: of flip flops, so they don't do a lot of
- 40:58Speaker 6: flippity flopping. But yeah, you've worn to wear flop flops,
- 41:01Speaker 6: they're gonna flip and flop.
- 41:02Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 41:03Speaker 2: The amount of effort it takes to cold your toes
- 41:07Speaker 2: down to lift.
- 41:08Speaker 6: The flop it's unnatural.
- 41:10Speaker 3: The third thing the chewing gum, which also.
- 41:12Speaker 5: Oh my gosh, it is like a giraffe chewing grass.
- 41:17Speaker 3: You can't cage me. You gotta let me be free.
- 41:20Speaker 5: Like I literally have to remind him if he's chewing
- 41:22Speaker 5: gum and we're like about to go hang out with friends,
- 41:24Speaker 5: I'm like, you have to spit your gum out like.
- 41:27Speaker 3: Chewing gum because of you gave me a complex?
- 41:30Speaker 5: Will stop eat dumping your gum around like that with
- 41:34Speaker 5: clients around.
- 41:35Speaker 2: They I told her to like, watch like some videos
- 41:38Speaker 2: of baseball players eating baseball selflowers.
- 41:40Speaker 3: It's like, I think it's cool.
- 41:42Speaker 6: It's all gross. It's it's all gross.
- 41:45Speaker 3: What's gross?
- 41:46Speaker 6: Gross? And ball players do it and it's gross, and
- 41:48Speaker 6: I've never seen you do it, but I assume it's
- 41:50Speaker 6: similarly gross.
- 41:51Speaker 3: You know, it's very It's like, no, it's cool.
- 41:54Speaker 4: Any never having a family meeting. This was Sunday. We're
- 41:56Speaker 4: having a family meeting. He's spinning out these sunflower seats
- 42:00Speaker 4: and I'm like, we have one hour and we're gonna
- 42:01Speaker 4: sit here and get this on the.
- 42:05Speaker 6: I involved spitting things out of your so you don't
- 42:07Speaker 6: have to spit them.
- 42:07Speaker 3: You can take them one better.
- 42:12Speaker 4: If I take them with my hand.
- 42:14Speaker 6: You're distracting saliva covered things from your mouth. It's all bad.
- 42:19Speaker 2: Look so eating cherries is gross? Yes, yes, what is wrong?
- 42:23Speaker 3: I agree?
- 42:23Speaker 2: No. The best is that we had a canasta lesson,
- 42:26Speaker 2: which we definitely have to talk about and I'm just
- 42:28Speaker 2: eating this up.
- 42:29Speaker 3: Discussion was amazing. She's like, I have boys. I totally
- 42:33Speaker 3: get it.
- 42:33Speaker 4: Teenage boys were disgusting.
- 42:35Speaker 3: So this is disgusting teenage boys. I totally get.
- 42:39Speaker 4: It that I had chills down my back.
- 42:42Speaker 5: I was so second hand embarrassed because of you, with
- 42:45Speaker 5: his spinning out with our tutor, our Canasta tutor sitting
- 42:48Speaker 5: at the table, and he's no.
- 42:51Speaker 3: I'm.
- 42:53Speaker 4: On this, thank you.
- 42:55Speaker 6: If I eat cherries, I'm alone. I'm not eating cherries
- 42:57Speaker 6: in front of other people.
- 42:58Speaker 3: I don't want eating anything in front of other people.
- 43:00Speaker 2: Is discussing eating anything in front of people, discussing, you're
- 43:03Speaker 2: necessarily oh my god.
- 43:04Speaker 3: Eating You're just like shovel Everything is disgusting.
- 43:08Speaker 6: If you really think about your mouth is not as
- 43:10Speaker 6: girls as taking things out of your mouth.
- 43:11Speaker 7: That's what I agree.
- 43:12Speaker 3: I agree, it's all disgusting.
- 43:15Speaker 6: It goes in your mouth, you should never see it again.
- 43:17Speaker 2: Yes, okay, cherries, sunflower seeds?
- 43:22Speaker 6: What else?
- 43:24Speaker 3: Seeds? We can have seedless but water seeds. What else
- 43:29Speaker 3: is there?
- 43:29Speaker 5: No, but the problem with the sunflower seeds is that
- 43:31Speaker 5: it's ours like he'll just sit in bed watching TV and.
- 43:34Speaker 3: Just spendflower seeds. No, no, no, no, no, yes, yes
- 43:41Speaker 3: no I did do that. I did do that.
- 43:44Speaker 2: But that's because she wanted me to watch the football
- 43:47Speaker 2: game upstairs instead of watching it downstairs.
- 43:50Speaker 3: So we have to compromise. You can't. You can't watch sacrifice.
- 43:54Speaker 3: We sacrifice for life. I had to eat some flower
- 43:59Speaker 3: seeds in bed.
- 44:02Speaker 5: What do you want sacrifice? Believe does not know we're
- 44:09Speaker 5: gonna wrap this episode up, but I feel very vindicated.
- 44:13Speaker 3: I can't wait for myself to arrive on Wednesday.
- 44:16Speaker 4: Have more coming, and that's the problem. They keep coming
- 44:19Speaker 4: in there, these big, big big I wanted to throw
- 44:22Speaker 4: them away, but then I'm like, I can't.
- 44:26Speaker 5: Anyways, Robbie will be back for Dear Bonya on Thursday,
- 44:31Speaker 5: and thank you all for joining us, Babe, thank you
- 44:34Speaker 5: for co hosting today.
- 44:36Speaker 3: Yeah, but I still owe Easton, so we'll try to
- 44:38Speaker 3: get him.
- 44:39Speaker 6: He's in the building.
- 44:39Speaker 4: Yeah, we'll get it.
- 44:40Speaker 7: We'll talk Thursday, all right, Love
- 44:42Speaker 4: You all, Bye, b
