- 0:04Speaker 1: We like starting to show off on a positive fun notes.
- 0:07Speaker 1: We do this actually every morning. It's just kind of
- 0:10Speaker 1: a fun reason to, I guess, smile to start the day. Yeah, Angie, Angie,
- 0:14Speaker 1: do you have a little victory?
- 0:16Speaker 2: I do.
- 0:17Speaker 3: I rearranged my bedroom yesterday. I was feeling, Yeah, I
- 0:22Speaker 3: was feeling like it was just making me depressed or something.
- 0:25Speaker 2: And I was like, what is what am I hating
- 0:27Speaker 2: right now?
- 0:28Speaker 3: And then I thought about feng shui, which I actually
- 0:31Speaker 3: don't know the real like you knowing about that, but
- 0:37Speaker 3: it's just one of those buzzwords that you hear and
- 0:39Speaker 3: it's like, just rearrange your furniture, girl, And so I did,
- 0:42Speaker 3: and I felt so much better.
- 0:43Speaker 2: And I feel like the space is more opened up.
- 0:46Speaker 3: And I like the position of my full body selfie
- 0:49Speaker 3: mirror better now. And so I'm I'm thriving your what mirror?
- 0:54Speaker 3: My full body mirror? I called it my full body selfie.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Do you get one of those?
- 1:00Speaker 3: It's just a regular mirror a lot of yeah, but
- 1:04Speaker 3: I take a lot of selfies in it.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Yeah, nothing wrong with that. I'm happy for you. Were
- 1:08Speaker 1: you when you were a kid did you ever just
- 1:09Speaker 1: kind of rearrange your room randomly just to do it.
- 1:13Speaker 3: Oh yeah, then it's not like you had your own apartment.
- 1:16Speaker 3: That's always how it made me feel.
- 1:18Speaker 1: I felt like I had a brand new room. Yeah,
- 1:20Speaker 1: it was great. Yeah, my little Victory fairly similar. You
- 1:24Speaker 1: can tell. It's spring and the weather's kind of warmed
- 1:26Speaker 1: up and we're moving stuff. Everyone's kind of getting their
- 1:30Speaker 1: stuff situated, doing some spring cleaning. But I have really
- 1:34Speaker 1: dove into the bike community. We have got the garage
- 1:39Speaker 1: pretty much cleaned out. There's like one or two more
- 1:41Speaker 1: things we could get rid of, and one of them
- 1:42Speaker 1: I'll be able to get rid of today. The other
- 1:44Speaker 1: one I have no idea what we're going to do
- 1:46Speaker 1: with this thing. But our garage is pretty well organized
- 1:50Speaker 1: and very spacious. You can walk around both cars right now,
- 1:53Speaker 1: which is, oh, it's fantastic, and there's like a ton
- 1:55Speaker 1: of room. But I was able to get my wife's
- 1:59Speaker 1: bike hung up on the bike racks, so now both
- 2:02Speaker 1: bikes are off the ground, out of the way on
- 2:05Speaker 1: the wall, and if you walk into my garage on
- 2:08Speaker 1: the right half, I mean, it just looks like we're
- 2:11Speaker 1: ready for the Tour de France.
- 2:13Speaker 3: I feel like you've really cemented yourself into the bike community. Yes,
- 2:18Speaker 3: now that you and your wife have the bike racks up,
- 2:21Speaker 3: I'm very impressed with.
- 2:23Speaker 2: You, Gabe.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Anytime I do anything this is very silly and very stupid,
- 2:27Speaker 1: but any time I do anything in regarding biking, I
- 2:31Speaker 1: see Anchio's photo every day hashtag bike community. So I
- 2:36Speaker 1: am trying to dive on into this and get really
- 2:39Speaker 1: into it, and I've had a lot of fun so far,
- 2:41Speaker 1: at least in the month of May.
- 2:42Speaker 3: Okay, Well, Gabe needs some more friends in the bike
- 2:46Speaker 3: community that he's started by himself, right, So if you're
- 2:50Speaker 3: part of the bike community, yeah, text us seven oh
- 2:54Speaker 3: one two eight oh one ninety eight seven. Gabe needs
- 2:57Speaker 3: a biking friend.
- 2:58Speaker 1: Yeah, any trails, any area, group rides or something, count
- 3:01Speaker 1: me in. I'm all down for that.
- 3:07Speaker 3: Netflix has saved Sesame Street. They were losing funding and
- 3:14Speaker 3: all this shenanigans where it was like, I guess we're
- 3:17Speaker 3: just not gonna have Sesame Street anymore. We need Sesame Street.
- 3:20Speaker 3: It's been going for fifty five seasons. We need it,
- 3:24Speaker 3: and so Netflix has saved it. Sesame Street and Sesame
- 3:29Speaker 3: Workshop release to statement. We're excited to announce that new
- 3:32Speaker 3: Sesame Street episodes are coming to Netflix worldwide and PBS
- 3:36Speaker 3: Kids in the US. The support of Netflix, PBS, and
- 3:40Speaker 3: the Corporation of Public Broadcasting serve as unique public private
- 3:44Speaker 3: partnership to enable Sesame Street to continue to help children
- 3:47Speaker 3: everywhere grow smarter, stronger, and kinder. So they are going
- 3:51Speaker 3: to begin their fifty sixth season later this year. Very exciting.
- 3:56Speaker 3: I feel like Sesame Street. I mean, I group was
- 4:00Speaker 3: Same Street. My boyfriend group was Sesame Street and he's
- 4:03Speaker 3: fifty nine years old.
- 4:04Speaker 2: Like Sesame Street has been there.
- 4:06Speaker 1: Now everyone's growing up with Sesame Street.
- 4:08Speaker 2: Who's your favorite character?
- 4:09Speaker 1: Wow? Oh my favorite Sesame Street character Oscar?
- 4:14Speaker 2: Oh, my gosh. I knew you were gonna say Oscar.
- 4:17Speaker 3: I knew it, but it did make me think, like,
- 4:20Speaker 3: what are some shows that were canceled that you wish
- 4:25Speaker 3: could have been saved for me? There was this cartoon
- 4:29Speaker 3: back in like two thousand and one, I think it
- 4:31Speaker 3: was called The Oblongs.
- 4:33Speaker 2: Have you ever heard of this?
- 4:34Speaker 3: It was only it was only thirteen episodes, and it's
- 4:37Speaker 3: a cartoon and it.
- 4:39Speaker 2: Stars Will Ferrell and it's the.
- 4:42Speaker 3: Misadventures of a goofy family deformed by toxic waste.
- 4:47Speaker 2: It is so funny and it only got episode No.
- 4:53Speaker 3: No, it's funny, funny, it's funny, funny. But I also think,
- 4:58Speaker 3: now that i'm thinking back on it, I don't know
- 5:00Speaker 3: that it would fly to me in five.
- 5:02Speaker 2: But that was that I joke from that and stop game.
- 5:07Speaker 2: What show was it for you?
- 5:09Speaker 1: I'll tell you what. Speaking of good old Netflix, Netflix
- 5:12Speaker 1: crushed all my hopes and dreams. Oh really, I loved
- 5:16Speaker 1: this show. I sprinted through the first season. I think
- 5:20Speaker 1: I'm not kidding in two days or less. I mean
- 5:24Speaker 1: sprinted through. And then they finally get to season three.
- 5:27Speaker 1: They had been teasing leading up to this pivotal character,
- 5:32Speaker 1: this pivotal human in history, and then this show's just over.
- 5:37Speaker 1: They just never continued on.
- 5:38Speaker 2: I don't even know what it is yet, and I'm upset.
- 5:41Speaker 1: Talking about mind Hunter on Netflix, babe. And it was
- 5:47Speaker 1: all into based on a true story, a real person
- 5:50Speaker 1: who delved into the minds of serial killers. Yeah, and
- 5:54Speaker 1: why they do what they do and some of the
- 5:56Speaker 1: the I don't know if the word is tactics, but
- 5:59Speaker 1: some of the tactics use now to you know, help
- 6:02Speaker 1: find these people, track them down, talk to them, get
- 6:05Speaker 1: them help whatever. Yeah, well, of course they have been
- 6:08Speaker 1: leading up to one character that I was hoping to
- 6:11Speaker 1: see because this sounds really morbid. But this was the
- 6:14Speaker 1: first ever like person like that that I remember in
- 6:18Speaker 1: my life. The BTK guy.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Oh my gosh.
- 6:22Speaker 1: They had been teasing and teasing and teasing this dude
- 6:27Speaker 1: being a part of this show for three seasons, and
- 6:31Speaker 1: then it just ends they don't continue on, and I
- 6:36Speaker 1: feel a way about it. I was so upset when
- 6:39Speaker 1: I found out they weren't getting them fourth season.
- 6:41Speaker 2: Are you telling me.
- 6:42Speaker 3: That Netflix hasn't redeemed itself by saving Sesame Street Game?
- 6:47Speaker 1: Not even close.
- 6:49Speaker 2: You're being a real oscar to grouch about this.
- 6:54Speaker 1: I have reached a point in my now biking life.
- 7:00Speaker 2: Oh yes, that's right. You're part of the biking community.
- 7:02Speaker 1: That's right to where anytime I'm sitting on the couch,
- 7:05Speaker 1: not paying attention to anything going on around me and
- 7:08Speaker 1: scrolling on my phone, if I come across like a
- 7:11Speaker 1: little video about oh like beginning bikers do this, or
- 7:15Speaker 1: beginning biker's maintenance, or just easy maintenance you can do
- 7:19Speaker 1: in the garage, blah blah blah. Yeah, I have to
- 7:22Speaker 1: stop and watch it.
- 7:23Speaker 2: Ah, that's cute, I have to stop.
- 7:25Speaker 1: And watch it. So then you know, if something ever
- 7:27Speaker 1: happens with Corey's bike, I might know how to fix
- 7:29Speaker 1: it or something. I might know how to fix it
- 7:31Speaker 1: or whatever. And so I guess that's just how boring
- 7:35Speaker 1: my life is to where when I come across a
- 7:38Speaker 1: lot of bike videos, now I have to stop and
- 7:41Speaker 1: watch it. You know, nine times out of ten you're
- 7:42Speaker 1: on your phone. Maybe not nine times out of ten,
- 7:45Speaker 1: but maybe six times out of ten. Okay, if you're
- 7:48Speaker 1: just kind of keep scrolling, yeah, keep scrolling, doom scroll, yes,
- 7:51Speaker 1: and then you will catch a video or a type
- 7:55Speaker 1: of video where you stop and actually watch it. I
- 7:59Speaker 1: do that with all of couples videos too, because if
- 8:01Speaker 1: they're funny, I can send them to Corey.
- 8:03Speaker 3: Oh okay, that's sweet, mine.
- 8:05Speaker 1: I was wondering, Yeah, what is the type of video
- 8:08Speaker 1: where you will stop and actually watch it?
- 8:11Speaker 3: Okay, So right now, your girl is trying to do
- 8:15Speaker 3: her shedding for the wedding, like your hair. No, that's
- 8:20Speaker 3: year round, baby, I got a lot of hair and
- 8:23Speaker 3: it always sheds. No, I'm trying to lose weight for
- 8:26Speaker 3: this wedding and for like life, and to be more fit.
- 8:28Speaker 2: And healthy and whatever. Sheleana looking good in these photos.
- 8:32Speaker 3: And I'm the maid of honor and I ordered my
- 8:35Speaker 3: dress on purpose a size too small, so I really
- 8:38Speaker 3: better get.
- 8:39Speaker 2: It together because it's at the end of July.
- 8:41Speaker 3: All that to say, whenever I'm scrolling, I have to
- 8:45Speaker 3: stop and watch before and after fitness journey videos.
- 8:50Speaker 2: Because it's so fascinating. It's so motivating. Yeah, and like
- 8:54Speaker 2: I want to be that.
- 8:55Speaker 3: I want to I've been stuck in my before picture
- 8:58Speaker 3: for too long and I'm trying to hit after and
- 9:01Speaker 3: so yeah, anytime there's a before and after and it's
- 9:04Speaker 3: a fitness journey, I have to watch it.
- 9:07Speaker 1: And it's yeah, it's just cool and nice to know that. Okay,
- 9:10Speaker 1: if you want to, if you put in a certain
- 9:12Speaker 1: amount of effort or work, this is realistic. People do
- 9:16Speaker 1: this every single day. You're right doing this alone. YadA, YadA, YadA.
- 9:20Speaker 3: Yeah. And truthfully, there'll be times where I'm like sitting
- 9:22Speaker 3: on the couch, I'm like, am I just gonna go
- 9:24Speaker 3: make two bags of popcorn?
- 9:27Speaker 2: Cheez It's right, yeah, just me.
- 9:32Speaker 3: But then I'm like scrolling and I see, you know,
- 9:34Speaker 3: a fitness thing, and I'm like, Okay, gosh, dang it,
- 9:38Speaker 3: don't don't pop the popcorny and you get up and
- 9:40Speaker 3: get some steps in.
- 9:41Speaker 1: Right, All right, well we want to know this morning. Yeah,
- 9:43Speaker 1: what video or type of video I guess will actually
- 9:47Speaker 1: make you stop and watch it while you're doing the
- 9:50Speaker 1: old scroll and not pay attention to anything on your phone.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Seven oh one two eight zero one eight seven. Let
- 9:57Speaker 1: us know. There are some things that happen only in
- 10:07Speaker 1: movies or TV shows. And no I'm not talking about
- 10:11Speaker 1: you know, Game of Thrones, you see dragons or people
- 10:13Speaker 1: come back from the dead or anything like that. But
- 10:16Speaker 1: I was watching The Last of Us the other day,
- 10:18Speaker 1: and this is something I've noticed in shows and movies
- 10:21Speaker 1: all the time. When two people are having a conversation
- 10:24Speaker 1: on the phone. Mm hmmm. Have you ever noticed there's
- 10:27Speaker 1: never I mean never like all right, talk to you later, goodbye,
- 10:31Speaker 1: or like all right, love you goodbye. They'll start chatting,
- 10:34Speaker 1: or they'll just they'll end talking and just hang the
- 10:36Speaker 1: phone up.
- 10:37Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, Gabe, you're absolutely right.
- 10:39Speaker 3: I was watching Sex in the City the other day
- 10:42Speaker 3: and they were having a conversation and then I guess
- 10:45Speaker 3: the thought was finished and Carrie just hangs up and
- 10:48Speaker 3: I did think that, Like, girl, you don't even say
- 10:50Speaker 3: bye to your friend?
- 10:51Speaker 1: Yeah, they just really click the phone down, click, and
- 10:54Speaker 1: it's over.
- 10:54Speaker 2: You're so right.
- 10:55Speaker 1: You ever done that? No?
- 10:57Speaker 3: In fact, I spend too much time trying to get
- 11:00Speaker 3: off the phone, like okay, I love you, Okay, well
- 11:02Speaker 3: thank you, I love you?
- 11:03Speaker 2: What thank you by?
- 11:04Speaker 3: Like, yeah, I've never once listened. You're right, and no
- 11:07Speaker 3: one gets mad. If that happened to me in real life,
- 11:10Speaker 3: I'd call back and be like, why are you so rude?
- 11:12Speaker 2: Why did you hang up on me? Yeah, but no
- 11:14Speaker 2: one in TV and movies gets that's an interesting observation.
- 11:17Speaker 1: And then what I have one more for you here.
- 11:19Speaker 1: Have you ever noticed if they're ever out to eat
- 11:20Speaker 1: at like a diner or a restaurant? Mm hm, they
- 11:23Speaker 1: just like unfold a couple of bills from their wallet,
- 11:25Speaker 1: toss it on the table and they just walk out.
- 11:27Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, game. Yeah, no one does that. And
- 11:31Speaker 2: I always think, how do you know how much money?
- 11:33Speaker 1: Exactly?
- 11:34Speaker 2: Did you calculate that? And I always have to bust.
- 11:36Speaker 3: Out my phone's calculator and be like, and then times.
- 11:40Speaker 2: Twenty five percent for the tip.
- 11:42Speaker 3: You're right, No one carries cash like that these days anyway, Right.
- 11:47Speaker 1: If you were at a restaurant and just throw like
- 11:51Speaker 1: six bucks down for one cup of black coffee, you
- 11:54Speaker 1: might get away with it. Yeah, anything other than that, No.
- 11:57Speaker 3: You're right, that's so interesting. Okay, seven oh one two
- 12:00Speaker 3: way one ninety eight seven. What is something you've noticed
- 12:03Speaker 3: that happens only in TV in movies, but it would
- 12:06Speaker 3: never happen.
- 12:07Speaker 2: In real life?
- 12:09Speaker 1: Yeah? Do you have one?
- 12:10Speaker 3: Oh?
- 12:10Speaker 2: Yeah, love making in the shower?
- 12:16Speaker 1: There was something I noticed in a TV show I
- 12:18Speaker 1: was watching yesterday that only happens in movies and TV shows.
- 12:22Speaker 1: There's a conversation on the phone and the main two
- 12:24Speaker 1: characters they'd both just hang up the phone. They don't
- 12:27Speaker 1: say like all right, talk to you later, or like
- 12:28Speaker 1: have a good one or goodbye or whatever. Ye, just
- 12:31Speaker 1: click the phone down and off they go on their day.
- 12:34Speaker 2: Yeah, and that does not happen in real life.
- 12:37Speaker 3: Usually people say goodbye, or if they don't, somebody's mad
- 12:41Speaker 3: at somebody.
- 12:43Speaker 2: Yeah, right, what's the other thing?
- 12:44Speaker 1: The other one? Have you ever seen like two people
- 12:46Speaker 1: out to eat in a movie and then when they leave,
- 12:49Speaker 1: they just throw a couple bucks down on the table
- 12:51Speaker 1: and walk on out. Not once has that ever happened.
- 12:54Speaker 3: No, but I wish I could try it, but I
- 12:56Speaker 3: fully know I wouldn't have the right amount. I didn't,
- 13:00Speaker 3: and the tip I'd feel guilty. I'd have to come back.
- 13:02Speaker 3: It's pointless, right, sit down and take care of the
- 13:05Speaker 3: build the right way. But they never do that in
- 13:07Speaker 3: TV or movies. For me, the one that I think
- 13:10Speaker 3: is so unrealistic is anytime there's a love scene in
- 13:14Speaker 3: the shower, okay, and it's supposed to be like steamy
- 13:18Speaker 3: and romantic and whatever.
- 13:19Speaker 2: Yeah, no, that is not what that is like in
- 13:22Speaker 2: real life, because first of all, do.
- 13:24Speaker 3: You have like the no slip grippies at the bottom
- 13:27Speaker 3: of the tub, because otherwise that's really difficult to find
- 13:31Speaker 3: your footing.
- 13:32Speaker 2: Yeah, to you know, make it happen.
- 13:34Speaker 3: And then they never ever fight over the temperature of
- 13:38Speaker 3: the water. There's always one person who thinks the water's
- 13:42Speaker 3: too hot and the other person who thinks the water's
- 13:45Speaker 3: too cold, and then they marry each other, and there's
- 13:48Speaker 3: no way you can have a love scene in the
- 13:50Speaker 3: shower without worrying about the temperature of the water, And
- 13:53Speaker 3: that never comes up.
- 13:54Speaker 2: And I just feel like that's very unrealistic.
- 13:56Speaker 1: Where's the person complaining about having a cramp, right, you know, yeah?
- 14:01Speaker 2: Or la person where your hair is shedding. If you're
- 14:03Speaker 2: a lady, you got a lot of hair, and your
- 14:05Speaker 2: hair shedding and it ends up in places you don't
- 14:07Speaker 2: want it to. That kills the vibe.
- 14:09Speaker 3: And I just feel like TVs, TVs, TV shows and
- 14:13Speaker 3: movies made that seem way more appealing than it actually
- 14:18Speaker 3: ever was.
- 14:19Speaker 1: Right, And we asked, you know, hey, what are some
- 14:21Speaker 1: of these things you noticed that happened in shows or
- 14:24Speaker 1: movies but never in real life? And of course we're
- 14:26Speaker 1: obviously not talking about running into like a dragon down
- 14:30Speaker 1: the street. You're raily not gonna see the Game of Thrones,
- 14:32Speaker 1: dragon flying over twenty fifth Street, you know, things like that.
- 14:37Speaker 1: So there are a lot of awesome responses, and the
- 14:40Speaker 1: more you think about it, it's like you're right that never ever,
- 14:43Speaker 1: ever happens. I've always wondered this a great one here
- 14:46Speaker 1: from Mary. People living in huge, expensive houses and driving
- 14:50Speaker 1: expensive cars but don't seem to work anywhere. I'll take
- 14:53Speaker 1: this one step forward. You see the movie of the
- 14:56Speaker 1: you know, kind of the loser college kid or the
- 14:58Speaker 1: broke high school kids. I even cross country. What gas
- 15:02Speaker 1: are you paying for to guard from A to B
- 15:06Speaker 1: when you're eighteen and broke?
- 15:08Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, that really is a good point. There's
- 15:11Speaker 2: no sense to me in TV's and movies. They don't
- 15:13Speaker 2: care what your budget is.
- 15:15Speaker 3: They're like, it's fine, you just have whatever you want.
- 15:18Speaker 3: Cindy said, people walk into operating rooms without masks. That
- 15:22Speaker 3: is not allowed in an or. Oh I've never thought
- 15:25Speaker 3: about that.
- 15:26Speaker 1: Yeah, me either. I suppose I show like er Grays
- 15:29Speaker 1: or something.
- 15:30Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, they try to follow protocol, they always say
- 15:32Speaker 3: in the interviews, but I'm pretty sure I've seen some
- 15:35Speaker 3: people walking in.
- 15:35Speaker 2: That or without a mask.
- 15:37Speaker 1: That's right.
- 15:38Speaker 3: Uh.
- 15:38Speaker 2: Rob said, oh this one.
- 15:40Speaker 3: People are in burning buildings for several minutes with no issues,
- 15:44Speaker 3: but I can't sit two feet away from my campfire
- 15:46Speaker 3: for thirty seconds.
- 15:48Speaker 1: That's a great one. I have one more for you here,
- 15:51Speaker 1: and this one is from Electra. She said. Being able
- 15:54Speaker 1: to travel somewhere right away in real life it takes
- 15:58Speaker 1: a lot of money and planning. Obviously, if someone has
- 16:01Speaker 1: it set up for you, that's a little bit different.
- 16:03Speaker 1: But yeah, it's just you know, hey, we're just gonna
- 16:05Speaker 1: hop on this plane and go to Paris for a month.
- 16:08Speaker 3: Oh yeah, wow, how is their delays? Aren't there gate changes?
- 16:20Speaker 1: All right, there's something we've added to this show here,
- 16:22Speaker 1: and it's where we honestly we kind of just get
- 16:25Speaker 1: something off of our chest that we are not really
- 16:28Speaker 1: sorry about.
- 16:29Speaker 2: Yeah, sorry, not sorry, but this is how we feel.
- 16:32Speaker 1: I will say I am sorry that I'm not sorry
- 16:36Speaker 1: that I think summer is one of the most overrated
- 16:40Speaker 1: seasons of the year. I do enjoy summer. It has
- 16:44Speaker 1: its peaks, it has its perks, but it is not
- 16:48Speaker 1: one of these.
- 16:49Speaker 2: Oh my god, I can't wait till summer. Oh my gosh, game?
- 16:53Speaker 1: Who are Summer is wildly overrated. You go outside, it's
- 16:57Speaker 1: ninety ninety five, your instace wedding, It's humid, there's thunderstorms,
- 17:02Speaker 1: there's potential tornadoes in severe weather. I'm not Summer's fine.
- 17:07Speaker 1: I like when it's eighty it's great, go play golf.
- 17:10Speaker 1: I have a good time in the summer. But by
- 17:12Speaker 1: far the most overrated season of the year, by far.
- 17:16Speaker 2: Wow, I just don't agree with you at all. What's
- 17:19Speaker 2: your preferred season?
- 17:20Speaker 1: The best season, and no doubt about it is fall real,
- 17:24Speaker 1: no doubt. I will take fifty to fifty five sunny
- 17:29Speaker 1: football season is back. I will take all of I
- 17:33Speaker 1: can wear pants or jeans, I guess a flannel. I
- 17:39Speaker 1: will take that any day of the week over sweating
- 17:43Speaker 1: the second I go outside when it's humid and hot
- 17:47Speaker 1: and muggy the fall. You also can open up the windows.
- 17:51Speaker 1: You don't have to have your AC run in full
- 17:53Speaker 1: blast for twenty four hours. It's just when I hear
- 17:55Speaker 1: my when I hear my air conditioner turn on, immediately
- 18:01Speaker 1: start hearing this little chiching chi ching chi ching kitching
- 18:06Speaker 1: in the back of my brain for all the money
- 18:08Speaker 1: it's costing me to live comfortably.
- 18:10Speaker 3: Okay, I feel like you've made your case, Gabe, but
- 18:13Speaker 3: I think it boils down to you just really miss
- 18:16Speaker 3: flannel Friday.
- 18:19Speaker 1: That might be it, but you know, like it's just
- 18:22Speaker 1: I love when football is back. You can have dinner
- 18:25Speaker 1: out on a patio and you're not blinded by the
- 18:28Speaker 1: light and you can enjoy it. I know there's a
- 18:31Speaker 1: lot of people who love the summer, and I get it.
- 18:33Speaker 1: That's awesome, but I am not sorry. I think summer
- 18:35Speaker 1: is wildly overrated compared to the fall. Let me know
- 18:38Speaker 1: what you think about that don't lie to yourself? Do
- 18:41Speaker 1: you secretly agree with me? Am? I onto something? Here?
- 18:45Speaker 1: Seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven
- 18:52Speaker 1: And in today's show with Gabe's Good News of the
- 18:54Speaker 1: Day and the nine o'clock hour past here uh. These
- 18:58Speaker 1: high school seniors named Lilyana and Evan, they decided to
- 19:01Speaker 1: celebrate their four month dating anniversary, which is just so
- 19:06Speaker 1: cute to ke yes four month dating anniversary by performing
- 19:09Speaker 1: some random acts of kindness. They had seen a video
- 19:13Speaker 1: on social media that inspired them, so the couples they
- 19:17Speaker 1: bought some flowers, They got some pens and some note cards,
- 19:19Speaker 1: and they visited a local hospital to place encouraging messages
- 19:24Speaker 1: and the flowers on parked cars. Some of their notes
- 19:28Speaker 1: would say things like one step at a time, You'll
- 19:31Speaker 1: get through this, as they just offered support to strangers
- 19:34Speaker 1: going through some difficult times. And in addition to placing
- 19:37Speaker 1: the flowers on the windshields, the teens gave extra bouquets
- 19:42Speaker 1: to the parking garage attendant. They filmed the gesture, shared
- 19:45Speaker 1: it online, where it obviously went virals. I'm sure you
- 19:48Speaker 1: can imagine, Liliana says. They hoped to inspire others just
- 19:52Speaker 1: like they had been inspired by the video they watched,
- 19:54Speaker 1: and Evan said it was important to remember to spread positivity,
- 19:58Speaker 1: especially during the emotional times that hospitals can have on
- 20:03Speaker 1: families and the tolls that they go through. One of
- 20:06Speaker 1: the girls staying at the hospital, her name is a Mel.
- 20:09Speaker 1: She'd been saying at the hospital with her daughter and
- 20:12Speaker 1: she discovered some flowers on her car after a really
- 20:15Speaker 1: long day, and she described the gesture as deeply, deeply comforting,
- 20:20Speaker 1: saying it had made her feel seen and less alone.
- 20:22Speaker 1: The teens say their goal was to simply brighten someone's
- 20:25Speaker 1: day and encourage others to spread kindness.
- 20:28Speaker 3: Very beautiful, so sweet, and you love to see when
- 20:31Speaker 3: it's teenagers. I feel like teenagers get a bad rap
- 20:34Speaker 3: a lot of times. And these teenagers were doing some
- 20:38Speaker 3: good and I love that.
- 20:39Speaker 1: Yeah, you'll see teens, yeah, you know, kind of get
- 20:42Speaker 1: dumped on a little more than probably they should. Yeah,
- 20:45Speaker 1: And when you see stories like this, it's the perfect
- 20:48Speaker 1: time to remind you of my favorite quote that the
- 20:50Speaker 1: world is full of nice people. If you can't find one,
- 20:52Speaker 1: you got to be one.
