- 0:00Speaker 1: Stirring the pot one morning at a time.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Welcome to the Alabama show. I have an update.
- 0:16Speaker 3: Okay, what's the update?
- 0:18Speaker 4: My little cousin's baby's birthday party, her two-year-old birthday party.
- 0:22Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 0:23Speaker 5: I have learned I'm not good at baby's birthday parties.
- 0:26Speaker 3: What do you mean you're not good at them?
- 0:28Speaker 4: I was so overstimulated. There were other kids. They were
- 0:31Speaker 4: running around screaming. Hannah, my little cousin, and baby daddy have, like,
- 0:36Speaker 4: all their friends from college come. So there were, like,
- 0:38Speaker 4: 40 20-year-olds there, a bunch of babies, and then other
- 0:42Speaker 4: people I didn't know.
- 0:42Speaker 5: I crashed out. I was like, I got to get
- 0:44Speaker 5: out of here.
- 0:45Speaker 4: I had to leave i just dipped it irish goodbye
- 0:48Speaker 4: i did i waited for the baby to open her
- 0:50Speaker 4: gifts and then another kid ran into the kitchen pulled
- 0:54Speaker 4: a tablecloth off the table and shattered a glass platter
- 0:57Speaker 4: everywhere and started screaming and at that point i was
- 0:59Speaker 4: like this is my cue to.
- 1:01Speaker 3: Go did you tell your cousin or anybody you left i.
- 1:05Speaker 4: Left and texted him when i got down the road
- 1:06Speaker 4: said love you stomach's upset gotta go.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Bye That's all you've said?
- 1:10Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:11Speaker 3: Which was kind of a lie, so you can just
- 1:13Speaker 3: get out of there?
- 1:14Speaker 5: No, my stomach was upset, too.
- 1:15Speaker 3: But is that why you left?
- 1:17Speaker 5: No, I told, and I said, also, I was overstimulated.
- 1:21Speaker 2: We didn't have.
- 1:21Speaker 4: Parties like that when I was a kid.
- 1:23Speaker 5: Like, did you have big birthday parties growing up?
- 1:26Speaker 3: I don't remember. I don't remember much of that.
- 1:29Speaker 5: It was just me, me, me on a birthday cake.
- 1:31Speaker 2: That's what I want.
- 1:32Speaker 5: Me, me, me on a birthday cake.
- 1:34Speaker 3: That's the start of a book right there.
- 1:37Speaker 2: Anyway, good morning. Happy Monday.
- 1:39Speaker 5: Hopefully you had a good weekend.
- 1:40Speaker 4: If you want to call and tell us how yours was,
- 1:41Speaker 4: 833-501-BAMA is the number.
- 1:44Speaker 5: Thanks for being here.
- 1:46Speaker 2: It's what the hell headlines.
- 1:48Speaker 5: What the hell are you talking about?
- 1:50Speaker 1: On the Alabama show.
- 1:52Speaker 4: A woman got caught cheating on her husband with a
- 1:55Speaker 4: robot vacuum.
- 1:58Speaker 3: Can you explain to me how that happened?
- 2:01Speaker 4: So a man in Taiwan caught his wife cheating on
- 2:03Speaker 4: him with another man after he saw them on the
- 2:05Speaker 4: camera of a robot vacuum. So he sued her and
- 2:08Speaker 4: he won. But then she countersued for invasion of privacy
- 2:13Speaker 4: because he was watching her on the camera, on the
- 2:15Speaker 4: robot camera.
- 2:16Speaker 2: And then she won that case. And then he had
- 2:18Speaker 2: to go to jail.
- 2:20Speaker 3: Hold on a second.
- 2:21Speaker 4: What? Yeah, the husband had to pay her $ 5, 000 and
- 2:24Speaker 4: went to jail for five months.
- 2:28Speaker 7: Super easy trivia with The Alabama Show.

- 2:57Speaker 4: if you need him.
- 2:58Speaker 2: What do bees make?
- 3:00Speaker 4: Honey.
- 3:01Speaker 5: Good job.

- 3:40Speaker 4: Congratulations, Andrew. You just won Super Easy Trivia.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Yes, ma'am. I greatly appreciate y'all, and I love y'all.
- 3:47Speaker 7: It's three things you need to know with the Alabama Show.
- 3:50Speaker 4: Children's of Alabama is holding virtual hiring chats if you
- 3:54Speaker 4: are looking for a job. The first September recruiting session
- 3:57Speaker 4: is Wednesday, so you can have a roughly 10-minute text
- 4:00Speaker 4: conversation with a recruiter from their phone or computer. If
- 4:03Speaker 4: you want to find out more, go to Children's of
- 4:05Speaker 4: Alabama's website. Harry Styles made a joke about Taylor Swift's wedding.
- 4:10Speaker 4: If you forgot, Harry and Taylor dated from 2012 to 2013.
- 4:13Speaker 4: He had a concert at Madison Square Garden this weekend,
- 4:17Speaker 4: which was where Taylor married Travis Kelty. And at the concert,
- 4:20Speaker 4: Harry said, we're at Madison Square Garden, home of the
- 4:23Speaker 4: world champion New York Knicks.
- 4:26Speaker 5: And they also do weddings. There's no drama between the two, though.
- 4:29Speaker 4: Harry's fiance, Zoe Kravitz, was at Taylor and Travis's wedding.
- 4:32Speaker 4: So I think he was just being cheeky. Dolly Parton
- 4:36Speaker 4: was laid to rest in a private funeral after passing
- 4:39Speaker 4: away last week at the age of 80. Friday, there
- 4:41Speaker 4: was a private service for immediate family per her request.
- 4:44Speaker 4: She has been placed next to her late husband, Carl Dean,
- 4:48Speaker 4: at Woodlawn Memorial Park and Mausoleum. The family also asked,
- 4:51Speaker 4: in lieu of flowers, they wanted donations to be made
- 4:54Speaker 4: to Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, which sends free books to
- 4:57Speaker 4: young children. So, If you would like to honor the
- 5:00Speaker 4: late Dolly, you can donate to her imagination library. If
- 5:04Speaker 4: you just Google it, it'll pull up where to donate.
- 5:06Speaker 4: That's three things you need to know. More at thealabamashow.com.
- 5:11Speaker 1: You're listening to The Alabama Show On Demand.
- 5:16Speaker 5: 833-501-BAMA is the number to call the show. Kara, good morning.
- 5:19Speaker 5: What's your issue for Ask Alabama?
- 5:22Speaker 6: I met someone I almost practically fell in love with
- 5:25Speaker 6: and they decided to move very, very far away. And
- 5:28Speaker 6: I don't know if I should follow along, like if
- 5:32Speaker 6: I should continue that relationship or just move on. They
- 5:37Speaker 6: moved to Oregon.
- 5:38Speaker 3: Sorry, I just went through something similar.
- 5:43Speaker 2: That's why it's so funny.
- 5:44Speaker 4: So how long had you dated this person?
- 5:48Speaker 5: Four months. Why did he move? I'm assuming for work?
- 5:52Speaker 6: In all honesty, I had met them and they were
- 5:54Speaker 6: talking about it before I moved. apparently before they even
- 5:58Speaker 6: met me.
- 5:58Speaker 4: Okay.
- 5:59Speaker 6: And so it seems like they were going to leave
- 6:02Speaker 6: in like June, but then they met me and then
- 6:04Speaker 6: they just kept.
- 6:05Speaker 2: Putting it off.
- 6:06Speaker 6: So then I assumed that they were going to stay
- 6:08Speaker 6: and then they did it. And they told me maybe
- 6:11Speaker 6: like three days before they left.
- 6:12Speaker 4: It was.
- 6:13Speaker 6: pretty.
- 6:13Speaker 4: Sad like literally three days before it was like hey
- 6:17Speaker 4: by the way i'm moving to the other side of
- 6:18Speaker 4: the country bye yeah were y'all did y'all get kind
- 6:22Speaker 4: of serious like were y'all how often were you hanging
- 6:25Speaker 4: out for the four months that you dated i.
- 6:27Speaker 6: Had like three times a week For somebody to.
- 6:30Speaker 4: Wait three days before they move, that's a huge issue.
- 6:33Speaker 4: Have you spoken since?
- 6:36Speaker 6: Very little. There was some point where he texted that
- 6:39Speaker 6: he missed me along the way.
- 6:42Speaker 4: He was driving all the way there.
- 6:45Speaker 6: And, uh, that was sweet, but, but not too, too often.
- 6:50Speaker 6: Cause at the same time, we'd never really solidified that
- 6:53Speaker 6: we were in a proper relationship, but he says that
- 6:56Speaker 6: he wants me to visit. Maybe I should just move
- 6:58Speaker 6: there also. Like just talking crazy.
- 7:00Speaker 4: I'm sure.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Did he say, I love you? He said to.
- 7:03Speaker 6: Me very often towards the end, you know, you're very
- 7:06Speaker 6: precious to me, right?
- 7:08Speaker 5: So he never said, I love you.
- 7:10Speaker 6: No, he didn't.
- 7:11Speaker 2: He has another girl.
- 7:12Speaker 4: You think he's got another girl in Oregon, producer Blake?
- 7:15Speaker 3: No, I just don't think he was ready for commitment.
- 7:18Speaker 5: Have you creeped his social media?
- 7:19Speaker 6: A little bit.
- 7:21Speaker 2: How deep have you dug?
- 7:23Speaker 5: I think there's another girl.
- 7:25Speaker 6: I mean, maybe. He says that he is friends with
- 7:29Speaker 6: a couple of girls, but they're just platonic. Yeah, I mean,
- 7:33Speaker 6: we can't really go by that, but it's a possibility.
- 7:37Speaker 2: He's hooking up with them. Oh, my God, girl, you
- 7:40Speaker 2: just got ghosted. Call the show. 833-501-BAMA. I'm sorry I'm
- 7:44Speaker 2: a little negative.
- 7:44Speaker 4: I've just been burned by enough guys that that's where
- 7:48Speaker 4: my thought goes to. So maybe if you're a guy,
- 7:50Speaker 4: you can explain this. Or if you've been through something
- 7:54Speaker 4: like this, 833-501-2262.
- 7:57Speaker 7: It's three things you need to know with the Alabama Show.
- 8:01Speaker 4: The first Alabama football game of the season is this Saturday.
- 8:04Speaker 4: Roll Tide East Carolina Pirates against the Alabama Crimson Tide
- 8:07Speaker 4: at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa.
- 8:09Speaker 5: Starts at 11 a.m.
- 8:11Speaker 2: So get ready.
- 8:12Speaker 4: Billie Eilish officiated her brother's wedding over the weekend. Phineas
- 8:16Speaker 4: got married on Saturday in California. Some of the celebrities
- 8:20Speaker 4: at the wedding were Justin and Hailey Bieber, Jason Sudeikis,
- 8:24Speaker 4: also Rebecca Black and so many more. But Billie was
- 8:27Speaker 4: the officiant. So congratulations.
- 8:29Speaker 5: That is awesome. Casey Musgraves.
- 8:32Speaker 2: Let's talk about that.
- 8:33Speaker 5: Let's talk about her this weekend.
- 8:35Speaker 3: Okay, let's do it.
- 8:36Speaker 4: Her stage caught on fire in Boston over the weekend.
- 8:39Speaker 3: My gosh, I didn't hear about that one.
- 8:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:42Speaker 4: So it started above the stage from all the pyro.
- 8:45Speaker 4: It did not shut down the concert. Casey just joked
- 8:47Speaker 4: and said, I have too much hairspray to be standing
- 8:49Speaker 4: under that.
- 8:51Speaker 3: Oh, my gosh.
- 8:51Speaker 2: That's crazy.
- 8:52Speaker 5: There are videos that have gone viral. She was also
- 8:55Speaker 5: floating around on giant disco balls.
- 8:57Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:58Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 8:58Speaker 4: You can....
- 9:02Speaker 2: Take what you want from that.
- 9:04Speaker 4: And she also did a tribute to Dolly and sang
- 9:06Speaker 4: Covers of Rainbow and Here You Come Again.
- 9:09Speaker 3: Yeah, that was very sweet. I enjoyed that.
- 9:11Speaker 4: Yeah, I like Kacey Musgraves. But yeah, the fire, everybody's okay.
- 9:14Speaker 4: Nobody was hurt. They were able to get the fire out.
- 9:16Speaker 2: That's three things.
- 9:17Speaker 5: You need to know.
- 9:18Speaker 4: More at thealabamashow.com.
- 9:21Speaker 1: You're listening to The Alabama Show On Demand.
- 9:25Speaker 4: Here's the part of the show where we love to
- 9:26Speaker 4: hear your good news. So if you have something that
- 9:28Speaker 4: you're celebrating, call the show 833-501-BAMA. Maybe we'll give you
- 9:31Speaker 4: a gift card to rock and roll sushi. But producer Blake,
- 9:35Speaker 4: what's your good news?
- 9:36Speaker 3: I'm going back to therapy after a month.
- 9:38Speaker 2: You've skipped. You skipped it for a month.
- 9:40Speaker 8: I've had stuff going on during the days that were available.
- 9:44Speaker 8: But finally, everything's going back up and I'm going back.
- 9:48Speaker 5: Good job. I'm proud of you, buddy.
- 9:49Speaker 3: Thank you. I'm excited. I actually like therapy. It's a
- 9:52Speaker 3: fun time.
- 9:53Speaker 4: So I'm starting therapy tomorrow. You gave you hooked me
- 9:56Speaker 4: up with our company, our company.
- 9:58Speaker 2: I heart.
- 9:59Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 9:59Speaker 4: I heart media and all the people, our bosses that
- 10:02Speaker 4: are listening because we get free therapy.
- 10:05Speaker 8: I think it is beneficial and very useful. And I
- 10:09Speaker 8: think you could use it.
- 10:09Speaker 3: I think it'll help.
- 10:10Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 10:10Speaker 4: You've been using yours to deal with like what was
- 10:13Speaker 4: so far since you have been in therapy. What's the
- 10:16Speaker 4: biggest thing that you've learned about yourself? Or the biggest
- 10:19Speaker 4: tool you've been given? Because I know maybe you don't
- 10:21Speaker 4: want to talk about the things you've learned about yourself.
- 10:24Speaker 8: I've learned how to communicate a bit better and learn
- 10:27Speaker 8: about myself more than I knew.
- 10:28Speaker 5: I wonder if we have the same therapist.
- 10:31Speaker 2: Are you going to a girl?
- 10:31Speaker 3: Yeah, but we are not dealing with the same therapist.
- 10:34Speaker 2: You don't know? We've got the same list of providers.
- 10:37Speaker 2: You have no idea.
- 10:38Speaker 3: No, the person I'm with is already full. She doesn't
- 10:41Speaker 3: take any.
- 10:42Speaker 5: More bookings right now.
- 10:43Speaker 2: Maybe not.
- 10:44Speaker 5: Maybe I used my.
- 10:45Speaker 3: Your powers.
- 10:46Speaker 4: Maybe I pulled some strings and got the same person
- 10:48Speaker 4: because I need to know what you're saying about me
- 10:50Speaker 4: to your therapist. I'm going to go back and give
- 10:52Speaker 4: my side of the story.
- 10:53Speaker 3: I don't think you know how therapy works yet.
- 10:57Speaker 2: But we'll figure it out.
- 11:00Speaker 4: Anyway, if you have good news you want to share,
- 11:02Speaker 4: call the show.
- 11:02Speaker 2: 833-501-BAMA is the number.
- 11:06Speaker 1: You're listening to The Alabama Show On Demand.
- 11:09Speaker 5: One of my peacocks ran away this weekend.
- 11:11Speaker 3: I'm so sorry. Did you get it back?
- 11:14Speaker 5: No, but I know where it is. By the way,
- 11:16Speaker 5: thanks for listening to The Alabama Show. I'm Alabama with
- 11:19Speaker 5: producer Blake. I'm the girl that has 10 peacocks.
- 11:21Speaker 4: That have been roaming the neighborhood because I got them
- 11:24Speaker 4: and let them free range and they keep showing up
- 11:26Speaker 4: in the Facebook groups. There was a girl on TikTok
- 11:30Speaker 4: last week that works at City Hall of the town
- 11:32Speaker 4: I live in and she said, we keep getting calls
- 11:34Speaker 4: about your peacocks.
- 11:36Speaker 3: Did you get in trouble over it?
- 11:38Speaker 2: Not yet. I've had some complaints.
- 11:39Speaker 5: But anyway, so I get a text. On Saturday.
- 11:43Speaker 4: Yeah. From my veterinarian, who I've known my whole life.
- 11:46Speaker 4: I've grown up with this girl. She's the vet that
- 11:48Speaker 4: I go to. And she lives one town over. The
- 11:52Speaker 4: vet office is about 15 miles from my house.
- 11:56Speaker 3: Okay, I'm guessing they.
- 11:57Speaker 4: And she lives close to her office. So she lives
- 12:00Speaker 4: about 15.
- 12:00Speaker 5: Miles from my house. This is important.
- 12:03Speaker 3: Okay.
- 12:03Speaker 4: Because she texted me Saturday morning and said... She lives
- 12:07Speaker 4: next door to her parents. She said, my dad saw
- 12:09Speaker 4: a peacock trying to get into our chicken coop this morning.
- 12:12Speaker 5: I'm pretty sure it's one of yours.
- 12:13Speaker 8: It got that far away?
- 12:16Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 12:16Speaker 5: They roam. They roam.
- 12:18Speaker 4: And I went, oh, my God, I think it is
- 12:19Speaker 4: because I haven't seen all mine in a hot minute.
- 12:22Speaker 5: And she goes, I said.
- 12:23Speaker 4: Well, remember that time I asked you if you wanted
- 12:26Speaker 4: some peacocks and you said no? And I sent a
- 12:29Speaker 4: bunch of laughy face emojis.
- 12:31Speaker 2: She goes, oh.
- 12:32Speaker 4: Okay, I think I want to try to catch them.
- 12:34Speaker 4: I said, if you catch them, you can keep them.
- 12:36Speaker 4: And then I'll bring you a.
- 12:37Speaker 5: Girl too, because I have way too many.
- 12:39Speaker 2: So she goes on Saturday.
- 12:42Speaker 4: I said, go get deer corn, put it in the coop.
- 12:45Speaker 2: She like moved her chickens and opened the coop door,
- 12:48Speaker 2: put deer corn in it.
- 12:50Speaker 4: And she goes, I'm going to go buy a hundred
- 12:51Speaker 4: foot rope and I'm going to tie it to the
- 12:53Speaker 4: door and I'm going to sit a hundred.
- 12:55Speaker 5: Feet away and wait for them to go in.
- 12:57Speaker 4: And sketch that's exactly i started laughing i said well
- 13:03Speaker 4: let me know if you want me to come help
- 13:04Speaker 4: you catch him so she calls me the next day
- 13:07Speaker 4: she's already named him she goes i've named him gary
- 13:10Speaker 4: and i love.
- 13:10Speaker 8: Him okay human name what's going on all.
- 13:13Speaker 4: Right perfect he's yours you're the perfect person you're a
- 13:15Speaker 4: vet you know how to take care of animals anyway
- 13:17Speaker 4: she texts me sunday at around noon.
- 13:19Speaker 2: She goes got him I'm going to say this.
- 13:23Speaker 3: She is better at catching peacocks than you are.
- 13:25Speaker 6: I know.
- 13:26Speaker 2: You were awful at it. I know.
- 13:28Speaker 3: It sounds like the peacock has found the right home.
- 13:31Speaker 4: She said she woke up at 5 a.m. Sunday morning
- 13:34Speaker 4: and had been sitting out there waiting for hours trying
- 13:37Speaker 4: to trap him. Shut up.
- 13:39Speaker 3: I think she might match your crazy then.
- 13:41Speaker 8: I know.
- 13:42Speaker 2: Because that is insane. I love it. I was like,
- 13:44Speaker 2: keep him. He's yours.
- 13:45Speaker 4: I'll start trying to catch one of my females and
- 13:47Speaker 4: bring it to you. Because we're downsizing here at the
- 13:49Speaker 4: Alabama household who has too many birds.
- 13:51Speaker 5: And I'm excited that she got it.
- 13:53Speaker 3: This time's not even by choice.
- 13:55Speaker 2: He just showed up. I was like, it was meant
- 13:57Speaker 2: to be. Gary's yours.
- 13:59Speaker 5: Anyway.
- 13:59Speaker 4: Gary.
- 14:00Speaker 5: Call the show if this has ever happened to you.
- 14:03Speaker 5: Maybe with another pet. Probably not peacocks.
- 14:05Speaker 2: 833-501-BAMA is the number.
- 14:09Speaker 1: You're listening to The Alabama Show. The following program is
- 14:12Speaker 1: on demand.
- 14:13Speaker 2: Okay, we're done. Enjoy the rest of your day.
