Transcript
- 0:09Speaker 1: All right, everybody, you are locked on the week six
- 0:12Speaker 1: preview edition of birds weekly presented by the inside of
- 0:15Speaker 1: the birds network. My man, Barrett Brooks over there. I'm
- 0:17Speaker 1: Derek gun. Of course, the Eagles are getting ready to
- 0:19Speaker 1: take on the Carolina Panthers on Sunday. And Oh my,
- 0:23Speaker 1: for a second week in a row, shocking news comes
- 0:26Speaker 1: to the surface. And this time it pertains to the
- 0:28Speaker 1: starting quarterback, Jalen Hurst, who told the medical staff last week,
- 0:33Speaker 1: he got cleated against the Rams. So he goes through
- 0:36Speaker 1: practice last week. They, uh, finally, uh, you know, treated
- 0:40Speaker 1: and everything. And then he practiced Friday, gets to London Saturday,
- 0:45Speaker 1: they do an ultrasound and they find a superficial blood
- 0:49Speaker 1: clot in his calf, which is near the surface of
- 0:52Speaker 1: the skin. And the medical staff and the doctors deemed
- 0:55Speaker 1: him okay to play on Sunday, plays on Sunday, gets
- 0:57Speaker 1: medical treatment Monday and Tuesday, full practice on Wednesday.
- 1:01Speaker 2: And all of a sudden they do an ultrasound Wednesday
- 1:04Speaker 2: evening and find.
- 1:05Speaker 3: Out the clot moved.
- 1:07Speaker 1: I'm going to go to Barrett Brooks because you played
- 1:09Speaker 1: the game, and you said this type of blood clot
- 1:12Speaker 1: is common, but would you have let him play last
- 1:15Speaker 1: Sunday against Jacksonville?
- 1:18Speaker 4: Well, like I say, man, I've had, you know, I mean,
- 1:22Speaker 4: to me it's just when they say blood clot, to
- 1:24Speaker 4: me it's just, you know, I got, you know, something
- 1:27Speaker 4: like that before, and it's almost like, you know, a bruise,
- 1:31Speaker 4: a deep bruise, and, you know, you see it pop up,
- 1:33Speaker 4: you know what I mean? So they say superficial. And
- 1:37Speaker 4: I've seen that before, superficial, but it didn't move. So
- 1:41Speaker 4: evidently it's something, you know, a little more serious than
- 1:44Speaker 4: that because it moved. So, I mean, that's concerning, man,
- 1:50Speaker 4: because blood clots, man, can end you. They can end
- 1:52Speaker 4: your life, man.
- 1:53Speaker 3: Yeah, man.
- 1:54Speaker 4: That thing travels up to your heart and it blocks
- 1:55Speaker 4: up your heart. You know, that's a heart attack. You
- 1:58Speaker 4: mean you'll be done. So they let him play because,
- 2:01Speaker 4: you know, like I said, I've seen that. type of
- 2:04Speaker 4: injury before.
- 2:05Speaker 2: Okay.
- 2:05Speaker 3: But, you know, once it moved, man, they just can't
- 2:07Speaker 3: play around with it, you know?
- 2:08Speaker 4: And, you know, and it kind of makes sense because
- 2:13Speaker 4: there's a reason why he didn't run as much as
- 2:15Speaker 4: he did.
- 2:15Speaker 3: I mean, two yards?
- 2:16Speaker 2: He had two yards left. Yeah, and two carries. Yeah.
- 2:19Speaker 4: So, you know, I mean, it kind of put two
- 2:21Speaker 4: and two together. Now it's equal and Jalen Hurts not
- 2:24Speaker 4: playing this week.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Okay, so he's not playing against Carolina with a clock
- 2:27Speaker 1: like this. Is it possible he might not play the
- 2:30Speaker 1: next game also?
- 2:32Speaker 3: Man, I don't know, man.
- 2:33Speaker 4: I mean, I'm not a doctor, man, but at the
- 2:35Speaker 4: end of the day, you know, I've seen blood clots,
- 2:36Speaker 4: you know, that are, what is it called?
- 2:38Speaker 2: Deep, whatever.
- 2:39Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:40Speaker 3: You know, whatever it's called.
- 2:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:42Speaker 4: You know, our Philly starting pitcher, you know, he had
- 2:45Speaker 4: one of those and he was out for the season.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:47Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying? He was out for the playoffs. So,
- 2:49Speaker 3: excuse me, that's something that is very serious, man.
- 2:52Speaker 4: And, you know, they got to do something, you know,
- 2:54Speaker 4: blood thinners and everything to kind of dissolve it and,
- 2:56Speaker 4: you know, get it out of there before I would
- 2:58Speaker 4: feel comfortable having my $ 50 million a year quarterback out
- 3:02Speaker 4: there playing.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Man, you played the game for what? 13 years professionally?
- 3:07Speaker 1: 12 years. 12 years professionally. You've been around the game
- 3:10Speaker 1: a long time. So have I. Have you ever seen
- 3:13Speaker 1: a more snake-bitten team? I mean, I relate this team
- 3:17Speaker 1: to the 2005 team I covered which was the year
- 3:20Speaker 1: after they went to the Super Bowl, and that team
- 3:22Speaker 1: was decimated by injuries, and they went 6-10 that year
- 3:26Speaker 1: in 2005. But this is unbelievable. Your franchise quarterback out.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Your top one, two, three running backs are out. Your
- 3:34Speaker 1: top receiver, Devontae Smith, hampered. Hollywood Brown, hampered. Now, Dontavia
- 3:42Speaker 1: Wicks has come up injured. Tyler Steen's injured.
- 3:47Speaker 4: See, I have heard that before. I heard the same
- 3:50Speaker 4: list go down, and we won a Super Bowl that year.
- 3:54Speaker 3: It was 2017. Jason Peters.
- 3:56Speaker 2: It wasn't this bad, dude. It was not this bad.
- 3:59Speaker 3: Bro, we had a bunch of guys. How many stars
- 4:01Speaker 3: did we have?
- 4:02Speaker 2: We had a bunch of stars. You had Carson out.
- 4:04Speaker 2: You had Jason Peters. Jason Peters was out. Sproles was gone. Okay.
- 4:12Speaker 2: You had a handful. You might have had seven or eight.
- 4:15Speaker 1: No.
- 4:15Speaker 3: If you look back, there was a lot more guys.
- 4:17Speaker 4: In fact, you can't even name the starting linebackers that
- 4:22Speaker 4: started in the Super Bowl.
- 4:24Speaker 3: Guys you hadn't even heard about.
- 4:25Speaker 2: You're probably right.
- 4:26Speaker 1: Look, they got 26 people on the injury report right now, man.
- 4:31Speaker 2: No, no, no. Come on, man.
- 4:33Speaker 4: Well, you know a team that went through that last
- 4:35Speaker 4: year and they ended up going to the playoffs and
- 4:38Speaker 4: they beat us in the playoffs.
- 4:39Speaker 2: That's the 49ers. Oh, San Francisco. San Francisco went through.
- 4:42Speaker 3: The same thing. You know, so we can't complain.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Can't bitch about it.
- 4:47Speaker 3: We just got to go out there and play.
- 4:48Speaker 1: My next question is, is there anybody on defense that
- 4:51Speaker 1: can play offense that you know of?
- 4:53Speaker 2: Is there anybody? No?
- 4:57Speaker 1: Man, you don't have enough players on the practice squad
- 4:59Speaker 1: to bring up to fill all these gaps, man.
- 5:01Speaker 3: Bro, Carson, what's his name? Carson Strong. Carson Strong is one.
- 5:06Speaker 4: Of the players that's going to play. You know, Carson
- 5:08Speaker 4: Strong said, hey, I should be playing right now. Well,
- 5:10Speaker 4: you're going to get an opportunity to play this week.
- 5:12Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying?
- 5:13Speaker 3: You know, Damian Pearson, you got to go out there
- 5:15Speaker 3: and ball.
- 5:15Speaker 4: You got to show me more than you showed me
- 5:16Speaker 4: this last game you did last week.
- 5:19Speaker 3: I need to see more. Carson Strong, I know he's
- 5:21Speaker 3: going to give it all. He's going to borrow a title.
- 5:23Speaker 4: He's like, man, I got to go out there and
- 5:25Speaker 4: interview for 31 other teams. I'm about to go out
- 5:28Speaker 4: there and make it happen. Carson Strong may be the
- 5:30Speaker 4: leading rusher in this game. We might be able to
- 5:32Speaker 4: run the ball with Carson.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Let's go, baby.
- 5:34Speaker 3: Let's go.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Well, they're playing one of the worst run defenses ever.
- 5:39Speaker 2: In the national football league.
- 5:40Speaker 1: I mean, this is a run defense that's ranked 31st,
- 5:45Speaker 1: giving up 156 yards a game. And yet, Barrett, I
- 5:51Speaker 1: don't know if they can run the football. I honestly
- 5:53Speaker 1: don't know if they can run the football.
- 5:55Speaker 4: I think we'll have a little more semblance of a
- 5:59Speaker 4: running game this week.
- 6:00Speaker 2: It can't get worse than 22 yards. It was 22
- 6:03Speaker 2: yards against Jacksonville.
- 6:05Speaker 3: It's only got to get better, you know what I'm saying?
- 6:07Speaker 4: But I think we'll have a Landon Dickerson back is
- 6:10Speaker 4: a big, big key to that running game kind of
- 6:12Speaker 4: turning on.
- 6:13Speaker 3: I mean, it's going to have to be.
- 6:14Speaker 4: Because that's the only way we can keep this offense rolling.
- 6:18Speaker 4: We have got to have some consistency on first and
- 6:20Speaker 4: second down or it's all for naught.
- 6:23Speaker 3: We get behind a buck, especially in the second half.
- 6:25Speaker 4: We get behind a buck in first and second down,
- 6:28Speaker 4: and we just can't complete third downs after that.
- 6:31Speaker 1: Well, you look at this Carolina team, the offense in particular.
- 6:36Speaker 1: And Carolina's been making some head waves, and people are
- 6:39Speaker 1: starting to take notice of Carolina, and especially Bryce Young.
- 6:42Speaker 1: You know, just a couple of years ago, Bryce Young
- 6:45Speaker 1: was in that category of first-round bust. Now, Bryce Young
- 6:51Speaker 1: is busting people up. I mean, he's averaging like 310
- 6:56Speaker 1: yards a game passing. What have you seen in the
- 6:58Speaker 1: transformation of Bryce Young from a couple of years ago
- 7:01Speaker 1: to now seeming more comfortable in the pocket, more accurate
- 7:04Speaker 1: things of that nature?
- 7:06Speaker 3: I think that's it.
- 7:06Speaker 4: His pocket presence is a lot better right now, and
- 7:09Speaker 4: I think they're protecting him a little better also. He's
- 7:11Speaker 4: moving around well in the pocket, and that's a big thing.
- 7:14Speaker 4: He's in the pocket, and they're protecting him in the pocket. But, man,
- 7:17Speaker 4: he's got, you know, T. McMillan is one of the
- 7:20Speaker 4: better receivers in the league.
- 7:21Speaker 3: You know, great size, 6'5. I remember covering him.
- 7:24Speaker 4: You know, I called a game, Arizona versus TCU, and
- 7:28Speaker 4: he was that type of player. You know, he definitely
- 7:31Speaker 4: garnered bracket coverage, and even though they bracketed him, he
- 7:34Speaker 4: still did his thing, you know, You know, had some,
- 7:36Speaker 4: you know, great yards in that game. Then got to
- 7:38Speaker 4: the NFL and he just, you know, to me, he's
- 7:40Speaker 4: just a bigger version of Puka Nakua mixed in with,
- 7:45Speaker 4: you know, I mean, with guys that, you know, can
- 7:48Speaker 4: go out there and run routes. He's faster than Puka
- 7:51Speaker 4: and he's more fluid than Puka, but he's still one
- 7:54Speaker 4: of the, you know, guys that I see can handle
- 7:57Speaker 4: being bracketed. And plus this run after the catch, man,
- 8:00Speaker 4: he's deadly, man.
- 8:01Speaker 1: He's deadly.
- 8:02Speaker 2: Well, he's one of those receivers that's been flying under
- 8:05Speaker 2: the radar.
- 8:05Speaker 1: When you look at his numbers, 26 catches, 385 yards,
- 8:10Speaker 1: almost 15 yards to catch, two touchdowns, and he's got
- 8:13Speaker 1: seven catches of 20-plus yards.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Another player who's been.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Flying under the radar, he's a little bit more household name,
- 8:20Speaker 1: but has been flying under the radar, is that running back,
- 8:22Speaker 1: Chuba Hubbard. Man, this dude, you talk about straight ahead,
- 8:25Speaker 1: like battering ram. I mean, he's already had 61 carries.
- 8:28Speaker 1: He's averaging five yards a carry. I don't think people
- 8:31Speaker 1: really– across the NFL, in terms of a fan base,
- 8:35Speaker 1: appreciate what a Chuba Hubbard can do in a running
- 8:38Speaker 1: game because Carolina's running game sets up his passing game.
- 8:42Speaker 4: Well, I'm going to tell you the truth. I've always
- 8:44Speaker 4: loved Chuba Hubbard. You said Chuba. Chuba Bubba?
- 8:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:51Speaker 4: He's done very, very well for himself. They bring somebody
- 8:54Speaker 4: in every year to start in front of them. And
- 8:56Speaker 4: all of a sudden, bam, he keeps being consistent and
- 8:59Speaker 4: running the rock well.
- 9:00Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying?
- 9:00Speaker 4: So every time they brought somebody in, he still seems
- 9:02Speaker 4: to be in the lead back. So, you know, he's good, man.
- 9:06Speaker 4: You know, he's well-established. He can run that pill, man.
- 9:12Speaker 4: And if you get that run game going with that
- 9:15Speaker 4: play action, and then you push the ball down to,
- 9:17Speaker 4: what's his name, T.B.
- 9:19Speaker 3: Millen and Coker. Coker's a blazer, man. He can run, man.
- 9:23Speaker 1: So.
- 9:24Speaker 3: They got the perfect one-two combination.

- 11:42Speaker 3: You know, and then I was looking at their, you know,
- 11:45Speaker 3: looking at their tight ends. Trumbull, Waller.
- 11:49Speaker 4: I mean, they can do some things, man. So this
- 11:52Speaker 4: is a team, even though their record, what are they,
- 11:54Speaker 4: 2-2 or something like that?
- 11:56Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:56Speaker 2: Even though.
- 11:57Speaker 3: They're still good enough. Yeah, because they're just coming off
- 11:59Speaker 3: their bye.
- 12:00Speaker 4: They're still good enough that, you know, you have to
- 12:03Speaker 4: respect them as a team.
- 12:05Speaker 3: They've lost to some pretty good teams. You know what
- 12:07Speaker 3: I'm saying?
- 12:07Speaker 4: So, yeah, man, you know, this is– even though before
- 12:11Speaker 4: yesterday– I mean, before.
- 12:12Speaker 3: Today, the Eagles were one-point favorites.
- 12:15Speaker 2: They were one-point favorites.
- 12:17Speaker 4: When I look at it now, I think we're three-and-a-half-point dogs.
- 12:22Speaker 4: But we don't have a starting quarterback, and they're still
- 12:25Speaker 4: saying it's going to be like that?
- 12:26Speaker 2: Yeah. We'll see.
- 12:27Speaker 3: We'll see.
- 12:27Speaker 4: I know that defense isn't as good as we've seen,
- 12:30Speaker 4: you know, Panther defense before. But this is still a
- 12:33Speaker 4: team that, you know, they're coming off a bye. This
- 12:36Speaker 4: Eagles team is really, you know, coming from over the pond. And,
- 12:39Speaker 4: you know, I think it's like teams that come from
- 12:42Speaker 4: over from London, they're playing the game with a team
- 12:47Speaker 4: that already had a bye going into this.
- 12:49Speaker 3: I think they say they're 0-4, you know, the team
- 12:52Speaker 3: coming from London. We'll see. We can't get any worse, man.
- 12:55Speaker 2: I'm just saying.
- 12:55Speaker 3: We just can't get any worse, man.
- 12:57Speaker 4: There's no way we can go any more downhill. We've
- 13:00Speaker 4: got to get some type of good luck or something, man.
- 13:03Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying? Somebody to pray for us,
- 13:05Speaker 4: do something, man. Give us an opportunity to at least compete, man.
- 13:08Speaker 4: We can't even compete right now.
- 13:10Speaker 2: I shouldn't be laughing. It's not funny. But, you know.
- 13:14Speaker 2: The line is, who's next? You know? Who's next?
- 13:18Speaker 1: I mean, you look at Carolina's defense, it's the 30th-ranked
- 13:21Speaker 1: defense giving up 390 yards a game, roughly, giving up
- 13:24Speaker 1: 231 through the air, and I said a buck 56
- 13:26Speaker 1: on the ground. They're 31st against the run, 22nd against
- 13:30Speaker 1: the pass, and 27th in points allowed, giving up 27
- 13:34Speaker 1: points a game.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Now, you got.
- 13:36Speaker 1: Tanner McKee quarterbacking this preseason squad that's going to be
- 13:40Speaker 1: stepping on the field against Carolina. Okay. Would you attack
- 13:46Speaker 1: Carolina more so through the air or on the ground,
- 13:49Speaker 1: especially trying to get Tanner acclimated in a game like this,
- 13:53Speaker 1: especially with a team reeling, bringing in a three game
- 13:56Speaker 1: losing streak?
- 14:01Speaker 4: I was about to say, D-Gun, what are you talking about, man?
- 14:04Speaker 4: Just give me some resemblance of an offense. I mean,
- 14:07Speaker 4: we don't run the ball.
- 14:09Speaker 3: What you want me to say, man? What you want
- 14:11Speaker 3: me to say?
- 14:12Speaker 4: I don't care if you got to go out there
- 14:13Speaker 4: and run QB draws, whatever it takes.
- 14:16Speaker 3: And they say Tanner can't run.
- 14:18Speaker 2: Run, Tanner, run.
- 14:19Speaker 3: We need you, bro, because we need to find something, man.
- 14:22Speaker 4: And I think if we can go out there and
- 14:24Speaker 4: establish a run game, and I think we can with
- 14:27Speaker 4: Lana Dixon coming back, I think Kendall practiced today, so
- 14:35Speaker 4: he may be starting his game. But even if he doesn't,
- 14:39Speaker 4: I'm very comfortable going in with our starting center. When
- 14:45Speaker 4: our starting left guard, who was a left guard last week,
- 14:47Speaker 4: will he move him into the center position?
- 14:50Speaker 3: I think Lampkin can play center just as well, if
- 14:53Speaker 3: not better.
- 14:53Speaker 2: Than Kendall.
- 14:55Speaker 3: So, I mean, to me, it's... It can't get any worse.
- 15:00Speaker 4: If you got Differson back, you got the resemblance of
- 15:02Speaker 4: an offensive line that can at least compete. We'll run
- 15:05Speaker 4: the rock, get Bell going a little bit. You know,
- 15:09Speaker 4: I think we may be able to compete and run
- 15:11Speaker 4: against that defense. that would open up, you know, not
- 15:14Speaker 4: even say play action, but it'll just open up something.
- 15:18Speaker 3: I think it'll help us most on first down and
- 15:20Speaker 3: second down.
- 15:21Speaker 4: If we can just stop having negative plays, and then,
- 15:24Speaker 4: I mean, even if we gain two yards, it's better
- 15:26Speaker 4: than us going out, jumping on sides, starting off first
- 15:29Speaker 4: and 15th. That's been our MO the past, you know,
- 15:32Speaker 4: this past season, all five games. Until we start playing
- 15:36Speaker 4: consistently without, you know, all the penalties and, you know,
- 15:40Speaker 4: staying ahead of the sticks, man, it's going to be
- 15:41Speaker 4: tough for us to even stay In games, man. So
- 15:45Speaker 4: I'm just looking forward to at least establishing a little
- 15:47Speaker 4: bit of run game. We know Tanner McKee can grip
- 15:50Speaker 4: it and rip it. So, I mean, let's just pray
- 15:54Speaker 4: for the best and know that it can't get any worse.
- 15:58Speaker 1: I was snickering because I was just thinking as you
- 16:01Speaker 1: were talking that I can visualize a running back getting
- 16:06Speaker 1: a three- or four-yard gain and the entire stadium standing
- 16:09Speaker 1: up giving a round of applause. Yeah.
- 16:14Speaker 2: Forgive my mental sickness right now, okay? I'm sorry. I apologize.
- 16:18Speaker 1: But, you know, do you anticipate, as bad as Carolina's
- 16:22Speaker 1: defense is, we always talk about the NFL being a
- 16:25Speaker 1: copycat league. Everybody has been blitzing Eagles quarterbacks, especially from
- 16:29Speaker 1: the right side. Do you expect them to try to
- 16:31Speaker 1: load up the right side and bring the house to
- 16:33Speaker 1: see if they can rattle McKee?
- 16:35Speaker 2: Yes.
- 16:36Speaker 3: They're going to do the same thing. Because, I mean...
- 16:40Speaker 3: They've been doing it the past three weeks, so of
- 16:42Speaker 3: course they're going to do it.
- 16:43Speaker 2: You know what I mean?
- 16:44Speaker 3: They just can't stop the bleed.
- 16:45Speaker 4: Until they go out, and they almost did it this
- 16:48Speaker 4: last game when they did the same blitz, and then
- 16:51Speaker 4: Jalen Hurts dropped back, and if he had just one
- 16:54Speaker 4: second longer to get that ball up, he couldn't step
- 16:56Speaker 4: it to his throw, and he threw it up to Wicks,
- 16:59Speaker 4: and Wicks almost caught it. You know what I'm saying?
- 17:01Speaker 4: He overthrew him a little bit.
- 17:03Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 17:03Speaker 4: I'll just tell you what, if he had just hit that,
- 17:06Speaker 4: and have a big play, that's how you get teams
- 17:08Speaker 4: from blitzing you all the time.
- 17:09Speaker 3: You've got to have a big play.
- 17:10Speaker 4: You've got to have an alternative to just getting sacked
- 17:16Speaker 4: or just running for your life. We've got to have something.
- 17:18Speaker 4: We've got to have sight adjustment by the receivers, something
- 17:21Speaker 4: to get teams from doing that to us. And until
- 17:24Speaker 4: we go out and show that we can make a
- 17:25Speaker 4: big play, it's just all for naught, man. People are
- 17:28Speaker 4: going to zero blitz us all day, man, and we
- 17:29Speaker 4: can't do nothing about it. So hopefully they try it
- 17:32Speaker 4: again and we complete the pass, even if he just
- 17:35Speaker 4: catches it for a big play. Just stop him from
- 17:38Speaker 4: doing it, man. And I think that's best, to just
- 17:41Speaker 4: make him get out of it. You just got to
- 17:42Speaker 4: beat him with a big play.
- 17:44Speaker 1: Well, I like your optimism, but I'm not sure I'm
- 17:47Speaker 1: quite there yet. So with that said, who are you
- 17:50Speaker 1: picking and giving me a score?
- 17:54Speaker 3: I mean, I got to be an analyst at the
- 17:57Speaker 3: end of the day.
- 17:58Speaker 4: And I just don't see any way that this Eagles
- 18:01Speaker 4: team could win from an analyst point of view.
- 18:04Speaker 3: Where I'm not lying.
- 18:05Speaker 2: You know what I mean?
- 18:06Speaker 4: This team is just the walking wounded. It's the walking wounded. And,
- 18:10Speaker 4: I mean, you're talking about a team that's coming off
- 18:13Speaker 4: a bye. This team is coming from London. Starting quarterback
- 18:16Speaker 4: is not going to be playing. We're having a backup quarterback.
- 18:19Speaker 4: We're on our fourth and 15 running back. And that's
- 18:23Speaker 4: not– I'm not exaggerating. Our fourth and 15 running back.
- 18:28Speaker 4: Both of these players have been on the practice squad
- 18:30Speaker 4: for the past– Well, you look at it. Damien just
- 18:33Speaker 4: came up last week, and Carson just came up this week.
- 18:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 18:36Speaker 4: So these guys, and then you talk about Leonard Dixon
- 18:38Speaker 4: coming back from a four-game hiatus.
- 18:42Speaker 3: I mean, it just really doesn't make sense for me
- 18:43Speaker 3: to say, all right, the Eagles are going to win.
- 18:45Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying?
- 18:46Speaker 4: Because we just don't look like it.
- 18:47Speaker 3: We just don't have the artillery, the firepower. We don't
- 18:50Speaker 3: know who's playing on Sunday.
- 18:52Speaker 4: So how do you ask a— an officer coordinator, a
- 18:55Speaker 4: new officer coordinator, to call an offense that takes advantage
- 18:58Speaker 4: of the players that he has there because he don't.
- 19:00Speaker 2: Know what players are going to have there anyways.
- 19:02Speaker 4: So, man, it just doesn't make logical sense to say that,
- 19:06Speaker 4: you know, the Eagles are going to win.
- 19:09Speaker 2: This game.
- 19:10Speaker 3: But, of course, I'm not logical. I'm saying Eagles win.
- 19:13Speaker 2: No, you're not. No, you're not. No, you're not. No,
- 19:16Speaker 2: you're not. No, you're not. You're lying. You're lying.
- 19:21Speaker 1: You know you're lying. Tell the truth, man. You've been
- 19:24Speaker 1: lying to me for a decade. Tell the truth.
- 19:26Speaker 5: Hey, Philly fans, game day is stressful enough. Parking, traffic,

- 20:24Speaker 5: and up. Everything in life comes down to choice, doesn't it?
- 20:28Speaker 5: Whether it's choosing the team you root for, who you
- 20:31Speaker 5: listen to, or how you power your home, you deserve
- 20:34Speaker 5: the freedom to choose your own adventure, and that goes
- 20:37Speaker 5: for your power bill too. Right now across the U.S.,
- 20:39Speaker 5: Americans have the potential to harness limitless, clean, affordable energy.
- 20:44Speaker 5: We could be powering our hospitals, our schools, our farms,
- 20:47Speaker 5: and so much more. In some places, this abundant local
- 20:50Speaker 5: power is already helping lower utility bills and creating jobs.
- 20:55Speaker 5: But depending on where you live, you may not have
- 20:57Speaker 5: the option to choose Limitless Energy for your household. That
- 21:01Speaker 5: has to change. We should all get to choose the
- 21:03Speaker 5: energy we pay for. Cheaper, cleaner, Limitless Energy is out there.
- 21:09Speaker 5: Let's find more ways to use it. Head over to EnergyLimitless.com
- 21:13Speaker 5: to learn more about your energy options.
- 21:16Speaker 3: I'm telling the truth.
- 21:17Speaker 4: I'm saying logically in my head, there's no way that
- 21:20Speaker 4: they can win. They got too many You know, too
- 21:23Speaker 4: many bumps and bruises and guys out. But, you know,
- 21:26Speaker 4: I mean, this is a team with Rocky. Rocky's real here.
- 21:31Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 21:31Speaker 4: So you got to think, if Rocky's not real and
- 21:33Speaker 4: we think he's real, then I'm saying this Eagles team
- 21:36Speaker 4: can run and go out there and play because I
- 21:38Speaker 4: think they're real. Tanner McGee goes and lights it up.
- 21:42Speaker 4: Everybody jumps on his bandwagon. We have a QB controversy.
- 21:46Speaker 3: Let's go, baby. Let's go, man. All right.
- 21:49Speaker 2: Well, I'm not quite there with you. I will say this, though.
- 21:52Speaker 1: If that Eagles defense can keep Carolina to less than
- 21:55Speaker 1: 20 points.
- 21:56Speaker 3: That too.
- 21:56Speaker 1: The Eagles have a fighting chance. But I can't pick
- 21:59Speaker 1: the Eagles right now. This is crazy. I'm going Carolina 21,
- 22:03Speaker 1: Eagles 16. And I hope I'm dead wrong in my prediction.
- 22:08Speaker 1: I hope the score is flipped. And keep your fingers crossed.
- 22:11Speaker 3: That's my score.
- 22:11Speaker 2: Yeah, 21-16. Eagles wins. Keep your fingers.
- 22:16Speaker 1: Crossed and the rabbit foot handy that nobody else of
- 22:18Speaker 1: significance gets hurt. I don't want to see anybody get
- 22:21Speaker 1: hurt in general, but no other starter gets hurt, especially
- 22:24Speaker 1: on that defense. The way this offense is decimated, do
- 22:27Speaker 1: not let the energy bugs start hitting the defense. So,
- 22:30Speaker 1: for my man, Barrett Brooks, I'm Derek Gunn. This has
- 22:32Speaker 1: been Birds Weekly presented by the Inside Birds Network. We
- 22:36Speaker 1: will talk to you next week after the Eagles and
- 22:39Speaker 1: Carolina Panthers.
- 22:40Speaker 2: Go at it. So long, everybody. Go Birds. Go Birds.
