- 0:01SPEAKER_01: I think you guys know how I feel about AI.
- 0:04SPEAKER_01: Not in love with it.
- 0:05SPEAKER_01: Not in love with it.
- 0:06SPEAKER_01: But this guy is leaning in really hard on it.
- 0:08SPEAKER_01: Give me some audio here.
- 0:22SPEAKER_00: I wanted you to read the father.
- 0:24SPEAKER_01: So do you know who that voice is?
- 0:26SPEAKER_01: God, it's familiar.
- 0:27SPEAKER_01: Michael Cain.
- 0:29SPEAKER_01: Oh, okay.
- 0:30SPEAKER_01: And he has now completely signed off and is authorizing AI to clone his voice for a new version of The Odyssey.
- 0:40SPEAKER_01: I don't know if kids still learn that or if they read that book in school anymore.
- 0:43SPEAKER_01: That was kind of one of those foundational books that you always read growing up.
- 0:48SPEAKER_02: But isn't there the movie out right now, The Odyssey?
- 0:51SPEAKER_02: Or isn't there one coming out?
- 0:52SPEAKER_02: Or am I thinking of something different?
- 0:54SPEAKER_01: Oh, I don't know.
- 0:55SPEAKER_01: I just know he's doing the audiobook version of it.
- 0:59SPEAKER_01: But here's the other thing is he's 93.
- 1:03SPEAKER_01: I'm sure his voice has changed.
- 1:04SPEAKER_01: And I even played this little bit of audio the other day of Tim Allen from Toy Story 5 and Tom Hanks talking about how their voices have changed.
- 1:13SPEAKER_01: And before they did Toy Story 5, Tim Allen said he had to go back to a vocal coach and get his voice to sound kind of like how it used to sound.
- 1:24SPEAKER_01: So I wonder if Michael Kane's going, I'm 93 and I just don't sound the same.
- 1:28SPEAKER_02: Well, I appreciate him noticing that because when people get to a certain age, usually it happens sometimes like later in the 80s or something like that.
- 1:39SPEAKER_02: Another great example is Patrick Stewart, who, as we know, is oh, he doesn't sound like that, huh?
- 1:45SPEAKER_02: No, he's he's getting the older man shaky voice.
- 1:48SPEAKER_02: Now, women get this too.
- 1:49SPEAKER_02: By the way, yes, the Odyssey movie.
- 1:51SPEAKER_02: There is an Odyssey movie coming out.
- 1:53SPEAKER_02: Everybody's in this.
- 1:53SPEAKER_02: Elliot Page, Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Zendaya, or Zendaya, uh, Ann Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Travis Scott.
- 2:03SPEAKER_02: Literally, everyone's there all.
- 2:06SPEAKER_02: Everybody's in this.
- 2:07SPEAKER_02: This is like the big movie of the summer they're expecting.
- 2:10SPEAKER_02: Oh my.
- 2:11SPEAKER_02: When is that coming out?
- 2:12SPEAKER_02: My God.
- 2:13SPEAKER_02: What?
- 2:13SPEAKER_02: That movie is two hours and 52 minutes.
- 2:17SPEAKER_01: Can at that point, especially when it comes to the theaters, can you pause for a good 10, 15-minute P break?
- 2:25SPEAKER_01: Can we normalize?
- 2:28SPEAKER_02: You know, the last movie, I'll tell you a great movie, and 3386 is gonna laugh at this.
- 2:33SPEAKER_02: Hold on, let me type this in.
- 2:34SPEAKER_02: When does the honesty?
- 2:37SPEAKER_01: What, Gone with the Wind?
- 2:38SPEAKER_01: No.
- 2:39SPEAKER_02: Well, that's another one.
- 2:40SPEAKER_02: Uh come out.
- 2:40SPEAKER_02: Hold on.
- 2:41SPEAKER_02: I just gotta check the date.
- 2:42SPEAKER_02: It is July 17th.
- 2:44SPEAKER_02: It's so we're less than a month away from this coming out.
- 2:46SPEAKER_02: Yeah, the tickets have been on sale forever.
- 2:49SPEAKER_02: This is not a movie that I'm looking at going, it excites me.
- 2:52SPEAKER_02: Like it's not that universe that really gets me going, but people are are really, really into this.
- 2:59SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah.
- 3:00SPEAKER_02: So back in the day, yes, Gone with the Wind had an intermission.
- 3:04SPEAKER_02: I I was just thinking.
- 3:06SPEAKER_02: But also the Ten Commandments.
- 3:08SPEAKER_01: Well, were you alive in 1933 when it came out or whatever?
- 3:11SPEAKER_02: You watched this movie.
- 3:12SPEAKER_01: I I love Gone with the Wind.
- 3:13SPEAKER_01: You don't remember?
- 3:14SPEAKER_01: I didn't watch it in the theater.
- 3:16SPEAKER_02: No, they did it even uh and uh this if you ever had like the VHS release or the DVD release of it, many of them would have the actual intermission.
- 3:27SPEAKER_02: Uh the Ten Commandments with Charlton Heston, you know, let my people go.
- 3:31SPEAKER_02: But no, my question is there was an intermission.
- 3:33SPEAKER_02: And they really did the the orchestra would come up and they'd have music playing and it was a pea break.
- 3:39SPEAKER_01: No, but my okay, so my question is let's say you're at AMC Theater in Buffalo.
- 3:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 3:44SPEAKER_01: Where you grew up.
- 3:45SPEAKER_01: Sure.
- 3:45SPEAKER_01: And you're watching the Ten Commandments when you were, I don't know.
- 3:49SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I don't think it was.
- 3:50SPEAKER_02: I never saw that in theaters.
- 3:52SPEAKER_01: Have you ever been to a theater and they actually gave you a pea break?
- 3:56SPEAKER_01: I have not.
- 3:57SPEAKER_02: Did they do it for Avatar?
- 3:59SPEAKER_02: Because that was another 82-hour-long movie.
- 4:02SPEAKER_01: That's a great question.
- 4:04SPEAKER_01: I don't think I've ever been because there used to be a website that it was like when to pee this is yes, when to pee.
- 4:10SPEAKER_01: When to pee dot com or something like that.
- 4:13SPEAKER_01: But I I don't think that they would do that.
- 4:15SPEAKER_01: Well, okay, they should.
- 4:17SPEAKER_01: They need to do it.
- 4:18SPEAKER_02: At three hours and fifty-two minutes?
- 4:19SPEAKER_02: You've I've I've had a drum of coke.
- 4:22SPEAKER_02: Yes, I'm good here.
- 4:23SPEAKER_02: I need to go.
- 4:24SPEAKER_02: Either that or I'm gonna use that coke uh, you know, container that I just sucked all the way down for something different.
- 4:30SPEAKER_02: I'll refill it if you know what I mean.
- 4:33SPEAKER_02: I won't miss the movie.
