Young Frankenstein (1974) | Ep. 78 - Part 1
Luke, Westy and Matt give their creation life as we begin the story behind Mel Brooks and Gene Wilder's parody of the Universal monster movies — and one of the funniest films ever made.
In Part 1 we cover the film's opening, director Mel Brooks, the cast, and the second act, getting into why playing it dead straight is the secret and the moving hump nobody saw coming. What hump? Big laughs and big opinions throughout.
Part 2, covering the crew, the finale, reception, and the film's legacy, is available now.
