- 0:42Speaker 2: Bill O'Reilly, how you doing?
- 0:45Speaker 1: I'm okay. Busy morning with the Trump speech and all
- 0:51Speaker 1: of that stuff. But I'm hanging in. How about you?
- 0:54Speaker 2: I'm good. President pretty much telling off the U.N., Setting
- 0:59Speaker 2: them straight, is it going to do any good? Those
- 1:01Speaker 2: guys didn't look like they were listening too carefully.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Every nation operates under its own interests, so it's hard
- 1:11Speaker 1: to rally anybody to do anything. So I don't expect
- 1:17Speaker 1: there to be any big changes in NATO or other
- 1:21Speaker 1: nations around the world. They'll continue to operate the way
- 1:26Speaker 1: they've been operating. I think Donald Trump knows that. That
- 1:31Speaker 1: speech that he gave to the UN was basically for
- 1:34Speaker 1: the American public. Say, look, we have accomplished an amazing
- 1:40Speaker 1: amount of things. He reels them off. CNN will now
- 1:44Speaker 1: go on the air and say, no, he's lying. You know,
- 1:47Speaker 1: the merry-go-round just goes around and around. But his speech
- 1:52Speaker 1: today was basically tailored to rally Americans to keep him...
- 1:59Speaker 1: in power in the midterms.
- 2:02Speaker 2: Yeah, but a big part of the speech, Iran is
- 2:04Speaker 2: clearly the bully of the Middle East, he said. Iran
- 2:07Speaker 2: is the biggest sponsor of terrorism in the world, stopping
- 2:10Speaker 2: them once and for all. That's a no-brainer. What's the
- 2:13Speaker 2: argument on that?
- 2:16Speaker 1: There really isn't any cogent argument, but it's apathy. So
- 2:22Speaker 1: there are many nations in the world don't care. whether
- 2:26Speaker 1: Iran's a chief sponsor of terrorism, as long as the
- 2:30Speaker 1: terrorism doesn't come to their country. And then with the
- 2:34Speaker 1: nuke thing, that's theoretical. So they go, well, you know,
- 2:38Speaker 1: we don't know. And the left-wing American point of view
- 2:45Speaker 1: on Iran is that there was no imminent threat. Imminent.
- 2:51Speaker 1: Dreams like tomorrow. So people believe what they want to believe.
- 2:55Speaker 1: You don't like Donald Trump, you're not going to like
- 2:57Speaker 1: the speech, you're not going to like him no matter
- 2:59Speaker 1: what he does. But he is laying out a counterattack
- 3:05Speaker 1: for the midterms. But overseas, I don't expect Iceland to
- 3:13Speaker 1: care about what they do in Tehran. They don't.
- 3:19Speaker 2: So, yeah, but... Now, let's get to the press ban.
- 3:27Speaker 2: It makes sense. I understand what he's saying. But he's
- 3:29Speaker 2: never going to win that battle, is he? He's going
- 3:31Speaker 2: to lose that.
- 3:32Speaker 1: No, but he doesn't care whether he wins it.
- 3:34Speaker 2: He doesn't?
- 3:35Speaker 1: He just wanted the statement.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:38Speaker 1: And then the Trump administration saw what happened to the
- 3:41Speaker 1: AP when they booted them out in February 25, and
- 3:48Speaker 1: nothing happened. So the AP sued... But the federal courts
- 3:54Speaker 1: just said, well, we'll get to it maybe in five years.
- 3:59Speaker 1: And that's the system. So AP is still out on
- 4:02Speaker 1: the streets of D.C. roaming around. They can't go in.
- 4:07Speaker 1: So Trump goes, hey, I'll do it to these three.
- 4:12Speaker 1: I had a lot of my peers in the business
- 4:16Speaker 1: get angry at me because I wrote a column on
- 4:19Speaker 1: Sunday on BillO'Reilly.com and said, look, chosen to win the
- 4:24Speaker 1: spring course i got throw the first amendment on or
- 4:27Speaker 1: even called out uh... corruption against the press i saw
- 4:33Speaker 1: what the uh... springboard dot um... however you have to
- 4:37Speaker 1: win or what to do is embarrasses people and he's
- 4:41Speaker 1: got enough ammo to do that i mean they suppress
- 4:45Speaker 1: the news map such as the matter of misleading o'reilly
- 4:49Speaker 1: and some old which It's impossible because we've been around
- 4:53Speaker 1: too long. But they suppress it. So the good economic
- 4:58Speaker 1: numbers that Trump cited today in his speech, lowest poverty rate,
- 5:03Speaker 1: highest affluence rate, CNN didn't even report it. That's a
- 5:08Speaker 1: pretty big story, I think, to ignore, wouldn't you say?
- 5:11Speaker 2: Definitely, yeah. So he could go— He could go into
- 5:17Speaker 2: court and lay all those out, right? And lay out
- 5:19Speaker 2: all the fake.
- 5:20Speaker 1: News they did broadcast. Yeah, but the judges themselves already know.
- 5:24Speaker 1: So they'll be sitting around. And what the discussion has
- 5:28Speaker 1: to be is, we know that the American media is corrupt.
- 5:37Speaker 1: We also know that Jefferson and Monroe and Benjamin Franklin,
- 5:41Speaker 1: not Monroe, Madison, are And, uh, Benjamin Franklin didn't want
- 5:46Speaker 1: to corrupt. They want an independent press. They want a
- 5:49Speaker 1: fair press. And now we don't have one. So are
- 5:55Speaker 1: they still entitled to protections? And the answer is the
- 5:59Speaker 1: Supreme court will punt and say, yeah, that's my prediction.
- 6:05Speaker 2: Uh, Bill O'Reilly, uh, uh, president Trump meets with the
- 6:08Speaker 2: mayor mom, Donnie, uh, um, I know he always thinks
- 6:12Speaker 2: he can win over everybody, he can charm everybody, but
- 6:15Speaker 2: what else do you think he was hoping to achieve there?
- 6:18Speaker 1: I think that was a play, and I have no
- 6:20Speaker 1: evidence to base this on. But I think that was
- 6:25Speaker 1: a play to help Blakeman beat Hogle. So, Hogle's entire
- 6:31Speaker 1: campaign is Trump's the devil, and Blakeman is Satan number two,
- 6:38Speaker 1: because he likes Trump. That's her whole campaign. So Trump
- 6:44Speaker 1: comes in and he portrays himself as a kind of
- 6:47Speaker 1: nice guy to Mandami and Mandami supporters hoping to carve
- 6:54Speaker 1: out a few anti-Trump votes. Well, he's not that bad.
- 7:00Speaker 1: I don't know if that's a good strategy or not.
- 7:03Speaker 1: I don't think I would have done it because Mandami
- 7:06Speaker 1: is a devil to traditional Republicans. And to kind of
- 7:12Speaker 1: legitimize him, even though he is the mayor and he
- 7:15Speaker 1: won legitimately, okay, but to give him the status of
- 7:20Speaker 1: a presidential visit for an hour, I don't know whether
- 7:24Speaker 1: I would have done that. Yeah.
- 7:26Speaker 2: So what is Mamdani's reason for meeting with Trump, who's
- 7:29Speaker 2: supposed to be the devil to him?
- 7:33Speaker 1: What's the downside for Mamdani? What does he do all day?
- 7:39Speaker 1: I don't know what he does. Hey, the president wants
- 7:42Speaker 1: a command where we'll have little canopies. Okay. What's the
- 7:47Speaker 1: downside for him? There's no downside for him. Now, you
- 7:51Speaker 1: might say, well, maybe some of his supporters will get
- 7:55Speaker 1: angry that he's even in the same room as President Trump.
- 8:00Speaker 1: But this is a low... The people behind Mandani, they're
- 8:04Speaker 1: not following the news very much. I'm... Hate to be condescending,
- 8:09Speaker 1: but I believe it's true. So I think he just said, yeah,
- 8:14Speaker 1: I'll pick up some status points. This is Mandani. And
- 8:20Speaker 1: my people will forget about it three hours after it happened.
- 8:24Speaker 2: And as they walk through Gracie Mansion, you think the
- 8:26Speaker 2: president said to Mandani, you got to fix this place up.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Why not some gold on the walls? Let me give
- 8:31Speaker 2: you the number of my gold guy.
- 8:34Speaker 1: Apparently, they're going to build a housing project. And again,
- 8:43Speaker 1: why not cooperate with that? Yeah. So you'll remember during
- 8:49Speaker 1: COVID that President Trump cooperated with Andrew Cuomo. Yeah. Remember? Yeah.
- 8:57Speaker 1: And Cuomo's request was bring ships into the Hudson River.
- 9:03Speaker 1: So we can isolate the worst cases. And Trump did.
- 9:08Speaker 1: And how many people use the ships?
- 9:11Speaker 2: Nobody.
- 9:13Speaker 1: No one. No one. Now, I don't know whether Cuomo
- 9:17Speaker 1: forgot about the ships or there weren't enough ambulances to
- 9:23Speaker 1: get people to the ship. I don't know. The traffic
- 9:26Speaker 1: was too bad. But the federal government moved this flotilla up.
- 9:32Speaker 1: Because Cuomo wanted it, Andrew Cuomo, and nobody used it. Wow.
- 9:39Speaker 2: Well, hey, we're almost out of time. The book, how's
- 9:42Speaker 2: the book doing? Bill O'Reilly's new book is fabulous. You've
- 9:44Speaker 2: got to read it, Confronting America.
- 9:46Speaker 1: Thank you. I appreciate that. We just reordered. When you
- 9:50Speaker 1: reorder books and, you know, lots of books, then you're
- 9:53Speaker 1: doing well. But it's a whole different game than it
- 9:56Speaker 1: used to be when I started the Killing series. Killing
- 9:59Speaker 1: Lincoln was our... first. And now it's a special interest
- 10:04Speaker 1: who's buying the books. So I have to tailor my marketing,
- 10:10Speaker 1: but I think it's a good book. I mean, if
- 10:12Speaker 1: you really care about your country and you want problems
- 10:14Speaker 1: to be solved, we solve them. Now, you can disagree,
- 10:19Speaker 1: and that's part of the fun of the book. You
- 10:22Speaker 1: can disagree, oh, this wouldn't work, or I don't think
- 10:24Speaker 1: that's fair, or whatever. But the problems that we talk
- 10:31Speaker 1: about in Confronting America, Something Has to Change, are concerns
- 10:38Speaker 1: to every one of us, because we have taken a
- 10:43Speaker 1: turn now in this country. We've got a radical element
- 10:47Speaker 1: in this country. that we didn't have maybe five years ago.
- 10:52Speaker 1: We got it now.
- 10:54Speaker 2: Well, it's a great book. It takes you through the
- 10:56Speaker 2: last few decades. It shows you how we got to
- 10:57Speaker 2: where we are. You can order it right now. The
- 10:59Speaker 2: book is out. Order it. It's Confronting America. You can
- 11:03Speaker 2: order it on Amazon. You can go to BillOReilly.com, Confronting America,
- 11:08Speaker 2: the new book from Bill O'Reilly. Also, BillOReilly.com, you can
- 11:12Speaker 2: get the TV show, the podcast, the column. Everything is
- 11:14Speaker 2: there at BillOReilly.com. Bill O'Reilly, thanks for being with us.
- 11:20Speaker 1: Always appreciate it, Mark. Thanks for having me on. All right.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Take care. Hey, don't forget, coming up at noon, Buck Sexton,
- 11:26Speaker 2: Clay Travis. What a good show every day at 12 noon.
- 11:29Speaker 2: Then 3 o'clock, the most listened to radio show in America,
- 11:33Speaker 2: Sean Hannity. Jesse Kelly at 6. You got Jimmy Fallon's
- 11:37Speaker 2: very funny show at 9 o'clock every night. And I'm
- 11:41Speaker 2: here 9 to noon. It's 3 hours now. 9 a.m.
- 11:44Speaker 2: to noon. And from 6 to 9, it's Curtis Lewa
- 11:47Speaker 2: and Larry Menti on 710WOR.
