- 0:01Speaker 1: This is Ben and Ashley I almost famous in depth
- 0:05Speaker 1: one of my favorite people I've ever met in the
- 0:07Speaker 1: Bachelor franchise. I told Ashley this as soon as I
- 0:10Speaker 1: got back um from Las Vegas. This year at the
- 0:15Speaker 1: Heart Radio Music Festival, Genevieve and Genevieve is joining us
- 0:19Speaker 1: today on an in depth to talk about everything going on,
- 0:23Speaker 1: all the confusion. There's so many storylines, there's so much happening,
- 0:26Speaker 1: and we're here to get it from the source. Genevieve, welcome,
- 0:31Speaker 1: thank you, Hello, Hello. We are so excited to have you.
- 0:38Speaker 1: In fact, we've pushed this back a week. I've changed
- 0:41Speaker 1: travel schedule just to talk to you. Actually knows this.
- 0:44Speaker 1: Behind the scenes, I was like, I want to talk
- 0:45Speaker 1: to Genevieve. I I don't know how many more times
- 0:47Speaker 1: in our life we're running past each other. I enjoy you.
- 0:51Speaker 1: I think you're awesome. You remind me a lot of Ashley.
- 0:54Speaker 1: But I do just want to start with a story Ashley,
- 0:57Speaker 1: if you don't mind, of course. So we're in Las Vegas.
- 1:01Speaker 1: Bachelor in Paradise is not aired yet, just getting ready to.
- 1:04Speaker 1: I think it's air in the next week. So Genevieve
- 1:07Speaker 1: is there with us, and I have already picked up
- 1:10Speaker 1: on just how like great of a character she's gonna be,
- 1:13Speaker 1: not because she's a like, not because she's fake, just because,
- 1:16Speaker 1: like Genevieve in her real self is somebody that you're like,
- 1:21Speaker 1: that's somebody I just want to watch, like, I just
- 1:23Speaker 1: want to see what their life looks like all the
- 1:25Speaker 1: time because it's hilarious. And so she's sitting there and
- 1:30Speaker 1: she's like, I'm so nervous for Paradise. I'm freaking out
- 1:33Speaker 1: about Paradise and all this stuff. I'm like, You're gonna
- 1:35Speaker 1: be fine. And I was like, do you want me
- 1:37Speaker 1: to text Wells and see what he thinks? And so
- 1:39Speaker 1: I texted well as well as responded with Genevieve is
- 1:42Speaker 1: one of our favorite people on the beach this year,
- 1:44Speaker 1: and she's gonna get a lot of screen time. So
- 1:45Speaker 1: that's why I shared with Genevieve. I said, Hey, you're
- 1:47Speaker 1: gonna be great, Like you know, I don't know what
- 1:51Speaker 1: went down that you feel so nervous about, but it
- 1:53Speaker 1: seems like you're gonna shine. Well, let's fast forward to
- 1:57Speaker 1: this point in time. She didn't believe me. She thought
- 1:59Speaker 1: it was crazy that I was absolutely speaking out of
- 2:03Speaker 1: a place of not knowing anything, and I kind of was.
- 2:09Speaker 1: But she's beloved and she's one of the faces of paradise.
- 2:14Speaker 1: In fact, this week, I saw a stat from one
- 2:18Speaker 1: of our favorite Instagram follows, Bachelor Data, and Genevieve almost
- 2:23Speaker 1: doubled everybody else in screen time this season. Who is
- 2:27Speaker 1: that insane? I saw that. That's like crazy, I know. So, Genevieve,
- 2:33Speaker 1: after all the nerves, do you think all the nerves
- 2:36Speaker 1: were worth it? Okay? God, I usually don't think like afterwards,
- 2:42Speaker 1: I don't think the nurves are worth it, but never
- 2:45Speaker 1: stops me from feeling that way. Um, but no, I'm
- 2:48Speaker 1: very happy that's how it turned out. Okay, that's awesome.
- 2:51Speaker 1: So I feel like you probably got a lot of
- 2:55Speaker 1: d m s and tweets about how relatable you are. Yes,
- 3:00Speaker 1: I have gotten a lot. And it's like people are
- 3:02Speaker 1: just like you remind me of me. Like it's just
- 3:05Speaker 1: you're so relatable because like all my emotions are just
- 3:08Speaker 1: so raw and real and um, I think people can
- 3:11Speaker 1: see that, which is nice. Do you feel like? Um? Okay,
- 3:16Speaker 1: So when you're in the moment of an emotional reaction
- 3:20Speaker 1: to something, typically, how are you feeling. Are you just like,
- 3:25Speaker 1: this is what's in my head right now, this is
- 3:27Speaker 1: how I think this situation can go. Is it a
- 3:30Speaker 1: control thing? Like do you want control of the situation?
- 3:33Speaker 1: You feel like you're losing it? Like when you're getting
- 3:36Speaker 1: extra emotional when you're reacting to something, what's going through
- 3:39Speaker 1: your head? I'm like, sad if I'm crying, I'm like,
- 3:44Speaker 1: really sad. If I'm mad, I won't be crying. Um.
- 3:48Speaker 1: And so in those moments, I was just sad. I
- 3:52Speaker 1: like I just didn't know what to do and I
- 3:54Speaker 1: felt like there's nothing else I could do. And so yeah,
- 3:58Speaker 1: I just are you talking about in the moments that
- 4:01Speaker 1: like I tried to leave? Yeah, they try to leave. Um,
- 4:05Speaker 1: some of the arguments obviously that ended up leading to
- 4:08Speaker 1: you trying to leave. And I think just frustration because
- 4:12Speaker 1: I feel like obviously me and Aaron didn't communicate well,
- 4:16Speaker 1: and so I felt like whatever I was saying it
- 4:18Speaker 1: wasn't being received or heard. So um, that just added
- 4:22Speaker 1: to like the emotions. Okay, so big question off the
- 4:27Speaker 1: start then, because we walked into it here. You you
- 4:32Speaker 1: fell in love with Aaron, Yeah, but you weren't communicating well.
- 4:37Speaker 1: So one of the key pieces to fall in love
- 4:40Speaker 1: with somebody is like having that rhythm and that they
- 4:42Speaker 1: get you and they understand you, and you get them
- 4:44Speaker 1: and you understand them. But yet this is also one
- 4:47Speaker 1: of the things that you said you didn't have is communication.
- 4:51Speaker 1: So how do you fall in love with somebody you
- 4:52Speaker 1: can't communicate with? That's a good question I have. I
- 4:57Speaker 1: think you can fall in love with the wrong I
- 4:59Speaker 1: think you can fall in love with the wrong person
- 5:01Speaker 1: for sure, And I think that I I just didn't
- 5:04Speaker 1: fall in love with the right person for me. Well,
- 5:06Speaker 1: do you think it was love or lust? Looking back?
- 5:10Speaker 1: That's looking back? Um, I would say, I don't know.
- 5:19Speaker 1: It's hard looking back to believe that I was in love.
- 5:23Speaker 1: To be honest, Um, I don't know. I don't know. Actually,
- 5:30Speaker 1: you just said you have you fall in love with somebody,
- 5:32Speaker 1: and and I'm I mean I have as well. I'm
- 5:34Speaker 1: not saying it's like abnormal. I was mostly wanting to
- 5:38Speaker 1: know if as we process post show, you know, how
- 5:42Speaker 1: in the world you look back and go, how did
- 5:43Speaker 1: this happen? You know? And then you meet somebody that
- 5:46Speaker 1: you communicate well with and you're like, how did that happen?
- 5:49Speaker 1: You know, years ago. So in your opinion, actually, how
- 5:53Speaker 1: does it happen? Um, I don't know, but I know
- 5:59Speaker 1: it's not long lasting and I know like it can't sustain.
- 6:03Speaker 1: I think I was falling in love before I started,
- 6:07Speaker 1: Like I was falling in love before I kind of
- 6:10Speaker 1: was realizing all the problems, I guess. So I feel
- 6:14Speaker 1: like I was already falling in love and then all
- 6:17Speaker 1: the problems started, like I realized we weren't communicating well,
- 6:20Speaker 1: and then I was already there, my feelings already there.
- 6:24Speaker 1: So I feel like that's what happened. Makes sense. We've
- 6:30Speaker 1: all been there. I think most people have, right, Yeah,
- 6:34Speaker 1: And in paradise, I'm sure it can happen a lot
- 6:37Speaker 1: easier too, because you are on the beach to meet
- 6:39Speaker 1: somebody and you might you know, you see these relationships
- 6:42Speaker 1: flourishing around you and you want to be possibly like them,
- 6:47Speaker 1: Like you're like they have happiness, Now I have happiness,
- 6:49Speaker 1: and we can walk off in the sunset together on
- 6:51Speaker 1: this beautiful experience. So it can happen right right Like,
- 6:54Speaker 1: And I just I went into so much hope. I
- 6:56Speaker 1: just wanted to make it work. I wanted to on
- 7:00Speaker 1: my person, and so yeah, for sure. I don't know
- 7:03Speaker 1: where I was going with that. Do you have any regrets,
- 7:06Speaker 1: like any specific moments that you wish you could redo
- 7:11Speaker 1: a lot um going back to the very beginning, UM,
- 7:15Speaker 1: I don't think I handled everything with Justin right at all. UM.
- 7:21Speaker 1: I wish I could do that over UM and with Aaron.
- 7:27Speaker 1: I I wish I left this second time. Like, looking back,
- 7:32Speaker 1: I think that I needed to stay the first time
- 7:35Speaker 1: to see more and like see it through. But then
- 7:38Speaker 1: the second time there was a gut feeling and I
- 7:40Speaker 1: should have listened to it. Can you remind us what
- 7:42Speaker 1: the second time was? Was that the pain versus UM? Well,
- 7:47Speaker 1: pain versus it? Yeah, but it's it's it is a
- 7:51Speaker 1: pain or an annoyance? What was it between um itching
- 7:56Speaker 1: and pain? Itching and pain? Okay, well, just letting you
- 7:58Speaker 1: know that you are in a space in which all
- 8:01Speaker 1: of us agree it's an itch and it is not painful.
- 8:04Speaker 1: UM producer Easton said that it could be. UM. It
- 8:09Speaker 1: was like a low level this is like a discomfort,
- 8:12Speaker 1: but that's not a pain. Yeah, here is. According to
- 8:15Speaker 1: the Scientific American Journal, once thought to be a low
- 8:20Speaker 1: level form of pain, itch is instead a distinct sensation
- 8:26Speaker 1: with a dedicated neural circuit linking cells in periphery in
- 8:31Speaker 1: the periphery of the body to the brain. A study
- 8:35Speaker 1: of mice suggests so. According to a recent article, itching
- 8:41Speaker 1: is not pain. I'm sure you've heard that before. I'm
- 8:44Speaker 1: sure you heard all the pains. I just want to
- 8:45Speaker 1: make it clear here that this podcast believes it does
- 8:48Speaker 1: not pain. It's a sensation. Did Scientific American right that
- 8:52Speaker 1: after the episode? No, no, no, this has been a
- 8:56Speaker 1: conversation that's been going on for years, a hot topic
- 8:59Speaker 1: in scientific community. Okay, but you think that you should
- 9:04Speaker 1: have left, then why is that? I think the way
- 9:07Speaker 1: that he spoke to me that was like that was, yeah,
- 9:12Speaker 1: I didn't like that, and I wasn't I shouldn't have stood,
- 9:15Speaker 1: I should have left. How would you explain the way
- 9:18Speaker 1: you spoke to you? Condescending, condescending and um just like angry,
- 9:27Speaker 1: like he would like he would yell at me, like
- 9:30Speaker 1: raise his voice multiple times. Um as he's telling me
- 9:33Speaker 1: to not yell at him, and I'm like, I just
- 9:35Speaker 1: usually pretty calm talking to him. So it was a
- 9:38Speaker 1: conversation about pain versus itch, and just as as silly
- 9:43Speaker 1: as an argument as it sounds, you were able to
- 9:46Speaker 1: get enough like behavioral cues from it. Yes, yeah, And
- 9:51Speaker 1: I just remember being like, this isn't going to work.
- 9:54Speaker 1: And then he promised me it wouldn't happen again, and
- 9:58Speaker 1: so I was like, O, payable if it does and
- 10:00Speaker 1: happen again, maybe this can work. And I wanted to
- 10:02Speaker 1: give the shop. So it's and it's interesting. On this podcast,
- 10:06Speaker 1: we talked about what like wildly simple arguments have kind
- 10:11Speaker 1: of set us off in our relationship. Actually shared one
- 10:14Speaker 1: and I was trying to think through one. Um, my
- 10:17Speaker 1: wife is just not an arguer, Like she doesn't like it,
- 10:19Speaker 1: and so like I can't argue with somebody that I
- 10:21Speaker 1: doesn't want to argue with me because she just is
- 10:23Speaker 1: like a peacekeeper. Um. But you know, for so many
- 10:29Speaker 1: they watched that episode and they watched some of these arguments,
- 10:32Speaker 1: and even Wells said it on television. He's like, this
- 10:35Speaker 1: is the dumbest argument I've ever heard on Paradise, and um,
- 10:41Speaker 1: you know, people kind of like laugh, maybe find some
- 10:45Speaker 1: humor in it, maybe like go back home, Like can
- 10:47Speaker 1: you believe that people were arguing about pain versus itch?
- 10:51Speaker 1: But can you take a second and explain just how
- 10:54Speaker 1: how serious maybe not the context of the argument, but
- 10:59Speaker 1: the uh, the way the argument was handled, how serious
- 11:02Speaker 1: that felt to you, uh during that time. Uh, so
- 11:07Speaker 1: that maybe the viewer can get an idea of, hey,
- 11:09Speaker 1: this was a real thing for Genevieve during it. Yeah,
- 11:13Speaker 1: so everyone's not well, it was just the audio because
- 11:17Speaker 1: the camera wasn't on us. We were getting miked, and
- 11:20Speaker 1: I had told Aaron I felt impatient, and um, it
- 11:26Speaker 1: was like a long day. We had been separated from
- 11:29Speaker 1: the guys while Rachel and Gabby were there, um, and
- 11:33Speaker 1: so I just wanted to spend time with him. So anyways,
- 11:35Speaker 1: I said I feel impatient and he said, well, you know,
- 11:38Speaker 1: stress and impatience is the same thing. And I said, no,
- 11:41Speaker 1: it's not. It's different. And then he said, no, it's
- 11:44Speaker 1: like itching in pain and the same thing. And I said, no,
- 11:48Speaker 1: it's not, and he said and then that's when he
- 11:50Speaker 1: like yelled at me, like it's the same thing thing,
- 11:54Speaker 1: look it up. And I just I was like, well,
- 11:56Speaker 1: first of all, I can't look it up. I don't
- 11:57Speaker 1: have a phone. But I had talked with it up
- 12:01Speaker 1: that's for sure, and I'm right, um, but I was
- 12:06Speaker 1: just like, I can't believe something this little I was
- 12:09Speaker 1: just telling him. I was holding him as I was
- 12:11Speaker 1: telling him, like saying, I feel impatient. I wasn't acting
- 12:14Speaker 1: annoyed at him. I was just bringing my feelings to him.
- 12:17Speaker 1: And that's what it turn him to. I actually couldn't
- 12:20Speaker 1: believe it. And then the way it ended, he said, no,
- 12:23Speaker 1: you're good, have a good night. And that's just it.
- 12:28Speaker 1: I don't like I'm I'm putting myself back there and
- 12:30Speaker 1: I'm getting frustrated again. But it's just like I was
- 12:34Speaker 1: trying to bring my feelings to All I needed was
- 12:37Speaker 1: like a hug. I don't know, I didn't need you
- 12:40Speaker 1: to compare pain and nitching and then like yell at
- 12:42Speaker 1: me about it, man, splain it. You didn't anybody man
- 12:45Speaker 1: splain what you were feeling and thinking you just need
- 12:48Speaker 1: somebody to hear you. And yeah, and Aaron, we thought
- 12:52Speaker 1: he knew what was in my head. Every time I said,
- 12:54Speaker 1: you don't know what I'm thinking, he said, he would say, yes,
- 12:56Speaker 1: I do know what you're thinking. How would you know that?
- 12:59Speaker 1: So I was just like, I wouldn't let someone talk
- 13:02Speaker 1: to me like this over something so silly. And I
- 13:06Speaker 1: was just trying to bring my emotions to him, and
- 13:07Speaker 1: this is how it was handled. So yeah, it just
- 13:13Speaker 1: it is a silly fight, Pane and nitch ng, But
- 13:15Speaker 1: it's how like how it happened and how it went
- 13:21Speaker 1: I guess, like how I don't know, I don't know. Ye, well,
- 13:34Speaker 1: it sounds like he definitely dismissed you at times like this,
- 13:37Speaker 1: but you also had a tendency to like pack your
- 13:39Speaker 1: bags real quick. Are you somebody that that normally tries
- 13:43Speaker 1: to flee during fights or when it gets hard? So
- 13:47Speaker 1: in the in real life, I mean I would that's
- 13:52Speaker 1: the thing in when I tried to leave in real life,
- 13:57Speaker 1: that's that would be me actually like leaving a relationship,
- 14:00Speaker 1: like I wouldn't continue with that person, um and I
- 14:04Speaker 1: got convinced convinced to stay. So I mean, like it
- 14:07Speaker 1: kind of is how I am in real life. You're
- 14:10Speaker 1: just saying you're not usually convinced to stay. But if
- 14:13Speaker 1: this is real life, this had been you leaving a
- 14:15Speaker 1: relationship and not coming back to it, um And I
- 14:19Speaker 1: think that's what I mean. I get what you're saying.
- 14:22Speaker 1: I understand where you're coming from. But again we have
- 14:27Speaker 1: to ask a question of what about those unique scenarios
- 14:30Speaker 1: we're making you go, no, I need to leave. We
- 14:34Speaker 1: we obviously didn't get to see all this. I can't remember,
- 14:37Speaker 1: uh if we got to see you saying hey, I'm
- 14:39Speaker 1: feeling stressed or I'm feeling impatient right now, I don't
- 14:41Speaker 1: think remember that. Yeah, okay, that would bring a lot
- 14:45Speaker 1: of context to where this argument is spurred from. But
- 14:49Speaker 1: were you really wanting to leave these relationships? Were you
- 14:51Speaker 1: really wanting Aaron to come after you? I truly wanted
- 14:55Speaker 1: to leave Um in those moments. It was the way
- 14:59Speaker 1: he spoke to me and how he was handling me,
- 15:01Speaker 1: bringing my emotions to him. The first time was when
- 15:05Speaker 1: we were on the day bed and I said, like,
- 15:07Speaker 1: I had been asking all day to go in the pool,
- 15:10Speaker 1: and then he looks at he said he's going to
- 15:12Speaker 1: work out. And then later he looks at Johnny and says,
- 15:14Speaker 1: scyficals in pool and so like. So I was just like,
- 15:18Speaker 1: I'm not gonna lie and say nothing wrong. So I
- 15:20Speaker 1: was like, I have been trying to hang out to
- 15:22Speaker 1: spend time with you. I wanted to tell him I
- 15:23Speaker 1: was falling in love with him. So I felt I
- 15:25Speaker 1: was falling in love with him. Before the first argument,
- 15:28Speaker 1: Um and that's why I think it was so tough. Um.
- 15:33Speaker 1: And so he just he told me I was gaslighting him,
- 15:37Speaker 1: which just I mean, I've never even been told I
- 15:40Speaker 1: was gaslighting anyone, UM, and I still do not believe
- 15:43Speaker 1: I was, because I was talking pretty calmly, and um,
- 15:48Speaker 1: he just the way he walked away from it. And
- 15:50Speaker 1: then I went to give him space and I came
- 15:52Speaker 1: back down to try and talk and he said, oh,
- 15:55Speaker 1: so it's on your time now, and then he was
- 15:57Speaker 1: just talking like condescending, like it. I didn't like it.
- 16:01Speaker 1: And so that was the first time, and the second
- 16:04Speaker 1: was the itching and pain that we talked about. So
- 16:06Speaker 1: I think it just really is rooted in how he
- 16:09Speaker 1: spoke to me and how he dealt with me bringing
- 16:12Speaker 1: my emotions to him in a calm manner. Well, I
- 16:15Speaker 1: feel like we can really analyze this further, but we
- 16:19Speaker 1: do need to move on to the breakup and then
- 16:23Speaker 1: the present day. So your breakup was actually, can I
- 16:27Speaker 1: barge in here for a second. I just want to
- 16:29Speaker 1: know before and you get there, there's obviously times in
- 16:33Speaker 1: between that we didn't get to see that brought you
- 16:36Speaker 1: two together. I want to give the signal like I
- 16:37Speaker 1: want to give the right time for how significant this
- 16:40Speaker 1: relationship really was. You were falling in love with him,
- 16:43Speaker 1: So what were we not seeing on television that that
- 16:46Speaker 1: was bringing you two together? That we're making you too
- 16:48Speaker 1: feel like, Hey, this is something that I want to
- 16:50Speaker 1: see through and I want to make work. Honestly, I
- 16:54Speaker 1: think like in that situation, you're just I mean, like
- 16:59Speaker 1: it's a different worlds. You're just on the beach with
- 17:02Speaker 1: your friends and this one person that you're trying to
- 17:05Speaker 1: get to know, and like, he was very affectionate for me,
- 17:10Speaker 1: at least, he was very affectionate and not is my
- 17:13Speaker 1: love language, and I really like that. So I think, like,
- 17:16Speaker 1: but I don't know if that's bad. Though, he was
- 17:19Speaker 1: very affectionate, and I felt like that was like bringing
- 17:21Speaker 1: us closer. Um, we never really had serious conversations. Um,
- 17:27Speaker 1: So I don't know. Looking back and thinking back, I
- 17:32Speaker 1: think I should have picked up on some flags. Honestly,
- 17:37Speaker 1: for sure, it sounds like a relationship that I can
- 17:41Speaker 1: relate to. I feel like when there's like an extreme
- 17:44Speaker 1: attraction and then there is somebody meeting your love language,
- 17:48Speaker 1: which is physical, you know, touch, you can fall in
- 17:53Speaker 1: love without really having the communication. There that's what that's
- 17:57Speaker 1: what like he was so affectionate, Like was always like
- 18:01Speaker 1: hugging me, kissing me, and that's what I love. And
- 18:03Speaker 1: so that's I think what made me fall in love
- 18:09Speaker 1: with him. We didn't like it wasn't like we had
- 18:12Speaker 1: serious talks. We never once talked about like life after
- 18:16Speaker 1: um or anything like that. But it makes sense now,
- 18:21Speaker 1: like it just yeah, it didn't make sense then, but
- 18:24Speaker 1: it does not. Your actual breakup was truly bizarre because
- 18:30Speaker 1: he sits you down in what we saw on TV.
- 18:34Speaker 1: You don't have anything, you don't say anything, and he
- 18:38Speaker 1: says something along the lines of you look beautiful today.
- 18:41Speaker 1: I don't think this is gonna work out between us. Um,
- 18:44Speaker 1: I wish you nothing but the best. Goodbye. Were you
- 18:48Speaker 1: really silent? I was silent? I was so blindsided. I
- 18:54Speaker 1: I'm rarely at a loss for words rarely, and I
- 18:57Speaker 1: was at a loss for words, like I didn't even
- 18:59Speaker 1: know what to say. Um because mainly because I tried
- 19:04Speaker 1: to leave twice and he came after me and like
- 19:09Speaker 1: promised me would change. The night before he gave me
- 19:11Speaker 1: a rose. He said, I see potential. I know I'm
- 19:15Speaker 1: hard to deal with, and I love you like what,
- 19:17Speaker 1: you accept this road. So the next day I wasn't
- 19:20Speaker 1: expecting him to break up with me, so I was
- 19:23Speaker 1: like WHOA, And I didn't know what to say, so
- 19:26Speaker 1: I was silent until one of the girls convinced you
- 19:30Speaker 1: to go back down there and face him and actually
- 19:32Speaker 1: say it. What was on your mind? Yes? Um? And
- 19:35Speaker 1: then I marched back down there and he said, oh,
- 19:40Speaker 1: so I should give you the time now. Um. Yes,
- 19:42Speaker 1: because we were in a relationship, and I think I
- 19:46Speaker 1: have the right to give my set of not my
- 19:49Speaker 1: side of the story, but like, say how I feel
- 19:52Speaker 1: because I was so blindsided when he had originally told
- 19:54Speaker 1: me um, and he just kept saying he's at peace
- 19:58Speaker 1: with it. I don't it. It wasn't a good It
- 20:01Speaker 1: wasn't a good end to a relationship, that's for sure.
- 20:05Speaker 1: But I felt like he was trying to put all
- 20:07Speaker 1: the blame on me and not take accountability for anything
- 20:11Speaker 1: you did, um, and just say it was because you left,
- 20:15Speaker 1: it was because you have been I need something that's
- 20:16Speaker 1: going to stick around, So tell me if I'm wrong. Uh.
- 20:22Speaker 1: And I don't know Aaron at all. I never met
- 20:23Speaker 1: the guy, but that moment felt very um calculated, like
- 20:29Speaker 1: it had been in the works that it hadn't. It
- 20:32Speaker 1: didn't have a great excuse because typically where you're in
- 20:35Speaker 1: a relationship and you have an argument and you can
- 20:39Speaker 1: talk it out and get back together, Um, you move
- 20:43Speaker 1: on and you learn from hey, I don't want you
- 20:45Speaker 1: yelling at me anymore, and that's now understood, and so
- 20:47Speaker 1: you're like, okay, next step, right, We're gonna keep trying
- 20:50Speaker 1: to make this thing work. But then all of a
- 20:53Speaker 1: sudden on the beach that evening, things just ended out
- 20:56Speaker 1: of nowhere like it was pre planned. I absolutely think
- 21:02Speaker 1: that he had to leave the beach single um, and
- 21:08Speaker 1: he had no plans of leaving. In a relationship, it's
- 21:11Speaker 1: definitely not engaged. Well, let's go. I mean it had
- 21:16Speaker 1: to have been. Yeah, it had to have been, because
- 21:18Speaker 1: if you look at the timeline, it doesn't make sense
- 21:21Speaker 1: to get me convinced me to stay two times when
- 21:24Speaker 1: you could have let me go days before. Um, you
- 21:28Speaker 1: could have not given me the rose um, and then
- 21:31Speaker 1: it just it doesn't make sense. So why do you
- 21:34Speaker 1: feel like he needed to leave the beach single um? Well,
- 21:40Speaker 1: obviously there's all the rumors. Um, I don't even know
- 21:44Speaker 1: if I want to say rumor, because I think it's
- 21:46Speaker 1: pretty uh transprove of it. Yeah, Um that Aaron had
- 21:55Speaker 1: a girlfriend before leaving for Paradise. Um, and not only one,
- 22:00Speaker 1: but two, and one of them wouldn't like, wouldn't stay
- 22:06Speaker 1: with him while he went on Paradise, and the other
- 22:08Speaker 1: one in the messages was saying she's going to talk
- 22:11Speaker 1: to him when he gets back about the situation. And
- 22:15Speaker 1: so she was dating him and expecting him to come
- 22:18Speaker 1: back to her. Um. And that is why it makes
- 22:22Speaker 1: so much sense why he had to break up with
- 22:24Speaker 1: me at the end. So do you feel like he
- 22:28Speaker 1: knew the entire time that he was going to date
- 22:30Speaker 1: somebody there, stay in Paradise as long as he possibly could,
- 22:33Speaker 1: and then break up with that person A k you
- 22:36Speaker 1: in this case at the very last minute. Yes, And
- 22:41Speaker 1: I that's I didn't understand, Like after Paradise. I'm so
- 22:45Speaker 1: happy this stuff came out because I have clarity now
- 22:48Speaker 1: because I didn't understand how that happened. How he could
- 22:53Speaker 1: just get me to stay, say he loves me, and
- 22:55Speaker 1: the next day do that. It's something was off. And
- 22:58Speaker 1: I found out what was off. He like he had
- 23:00Speaker 1: someone else. So UM, I'm happy. I'm like kind of happy.
- 23:04Speaker 1: I found that out because it just it makes sense.
- 23:08Speaker 1: That helps. It makes sense. Well, do you know like
- 23:14Speaker 1: when we say relationship, because when I went on Win
- 23:16Speaker 1: Our Games, I was dating, Like I was out and
- 23:18Speaker 1: going on dates. Up until the show, I was single,
- 23:22Speaker 1: So we're these like dating relationships. Were these like acquaintances
- 23:26Speaker 1: that maybe you've seen once or twice, or were these
- 23:28Speaker 1: like committed I'm in this thing, We've had the conversation relationships? Yeah, no, UM.
- 23:35Speaker 1: And like another thing they were in they were vacationing
- 23:40Speaker 1: summer like last year. So the girl that he's still
- 23:43Speaker 1: with so they have been like like a boyfriend girlfriend
- 23:48Speaker 1: And I actually talked to um, the girl that isn't
- 23:52Speaker 1: with him anymore. UM, she's so sweet and it's kind
- 23:57Speaker 1: of crazy hearing her stories. Basic what was in the
- 24:02Speaker 1: post by Reality Steve was that both girls found out
- 24:07Speaker 1: that he was telling the same thing to both of
- 24:10Speaker 1: them that the other was a friend in not to
- 24:14Speaker 1: worry about it. Um. And they found out because they
- 24:17Speaker 1: message each other each other on Instagram and they m
- 24:22Speaker 1: compared timelines and it all overlapped. So he was like,
- 24:26Speaker 1: somehow in a relationship with these two people. UM, up
- 24:31Speaker 1: until Paradise. So one seemed to be a girlfriend that
- 24:35Speaker 1: was like through and through from like September to Paradise,
- 24:39Speaker 1: and then there was one that was a little bit
- 24:40Speaker 1: more on again off again, the one that was full on.
- 24:46Speaker 1: She did say in the back and forth d MS
- 24:51Speaker 1: that reality Steve posted that she wasn't looking for something serious,
- 24:57Speaker 1: which was interesting. Um, but so and so that's why
- 25:02Speaker 1: she said it was okay for him to go to Paradise.
- 25:07Speaker 1: Aaron was recently seen at this girl, his presumed girlfriend's birthday,
- 25:14Speaker 1: with Jacob and Logan. Have you talked to either Jacob
- 25:18Speaker 1: or Logan or heard from anybody who's been around this
- 25:22Speaker 1: girl from the franchise? Um? No, I have not. I
- 25:27Speaker 1: haven't talked. The only person I have talked to is um,
- 25:32Speaker 1: the other girl that is not with him anymore. And
- 25:36Speaker 1: I didn't reach out to Logan or Jacob because I
- 25:39Speaker 1: didn't we weren't. We weren't together after um it more
- 25:43Speaker 1: just was helping me gain clarity to what the happened
- 25:47Speaker 1: on this season to be honest. Um, So yeah, I
- 25:49Speaker 1: didn't reach out to Jacober Logan. I really don't like
- 25:54Speaker 1: care to know about her. Um. Yeah, I know that
- 25:59Speaker 1: when you when I saw you a couple of months ago.
- 26:02Speaker 1: I think the show is just starting to air, and
- 26:04Speaker 1: I said, have you talked to Aaron at least, because
- 26:08Speaker 1: almost all of Bachelor in Paradise couples talk after the show,
- 26:13Speaker 1: just to like kind of get a better he said.
- 26:16Speaker 1: She said, version of their story because there's so many
- 26:20Speaker 1: people in our ears. And when you said you hadn't
- 26:24Speaker 1: heard from him at all since he left that beach,
- 26:28Speaker 1: I was astonished. And now I'm sure that's another thing
- 26:32Speaker 1: that you have so much more clarity on exactly you
- 26:36Speaker 1: said it perfectly. It makes so much sense looking back.
- 26:40Speaker 1: That was so strange to me because we were like
- 26:42Speaker 1: friends before her friends. I don't know. Um, it was
- 26:46Speaker 1: so shocking to me that he didn't reach out once,
- 26:49Speaker 1: not once and again Now it makes sense like I
- 26:52Speaker 1: just knew something was off. I knew there was a
- 26:54Speaker 1: piece missing that I didn't know, and um, I found
- 26:58Speaker 1: it out. What do you find out? Um? When reality
- 27:03Speaker 1: Steve messaged me saying, HI, just wondering if you knew
- 27:09Speaker 1: that Aaron had a girlfriend like back home and I
- 27:12Speaker 1: said absolutely not, And he said he's going to put
- 27:15Speaker 1: out a post the next day. So the next day,
- 27:18Speaker 1: I looked at the post and I was like, that's
- 27:20Speaker 1: when I found out reality Steve was going to put
- 27:23Speaker 1: out a post. Now, unfortunately this came out after the
- 27:28Speaker 1: reunion show was filmed, so you weren't able to confront
- 27:32Speaker 1: him on the show. Yeah, that's Um. I wish I
- 27:36Speaker 1: could have so I wouldn't have to like, I would
- 27:38Speaker 1: love to hear what he has to say about it, honestly, Um,
- 27:43Speaker 1: but I wish. I do wish that I could have
- 27:47Speaker 1: confronted him and just asked and maybe just gotten a
- 27:50Speaker 1: little more clarity for why why he would do that
- 27:54Speaker 1: to someone. You didn't have to tell me. He didn't
- 27:57Speaker 1: have to tell me he loves me, He didn't have
- 27:59Speaker 1: to take it that far. So yeah, it sucks that
- 28:03Speaker 1: came out like a few days after. But okay, your
- 28:09Speaker 1: paradise experienced Genevieve, Um has had twists and turns, yes
- 28:17Speaker 1: since from the very beginning to now, and you're learning
- 28:20Speaker 1: things after the show is over. We only have a
- 28:23Speaker 1: few more minutes with you here, I know, um, but
- 28:26Speaker 1: I'd love to hear what life looks like now. It's
- 28:28Speaker 1: been a few months now since you've been back from
- 28:31Speaker 1: the beach. Obviously, you're not feeling great. Um, so thank
- 28:35Speaker 1: you for coming on even with a little um, but
- 28:39Speaker 1: how is life now? How are you processing everything? And
- 28:42Speaker 1: how are you going to move forward? So like the
- 28:45Speaker 1: show just you know, the show just finished airing. Is
- 28:48Speaker 1: the first week that it's not airing since it started.
- 28:52Speaker 1: So Honestly, while I was airing, I was just a
- 28:56Speaker 1: nervous like I just was always anxious and so I like,
- 29:01Speaker 1: I didn't really do much like I got. I moved
- 29:03Speaker 1: in with Rachel. Um, like, we've been setting up our
- 29:07Speaker 1: apartment and all that. Um, but I don't really know.
- 29:11Speaker 1: I've just been trying to hell, I guess from all
- 29:16Speaker 1: of that and get back to like my normal life,
- 29:20Speaker 1: or at least try to. You are living with Rachel,
- 29:24Speaker 1: the former bachelorette or the current bachelorette. Um, you know
- 29:27Speaker 1: because their season Raining Raining Bachelor. I don't know what
- 29:31Speaker 1: you'd say. Where are you living? What city? Did you
- 29:34Speaker 1: too choose? Brand must Hollywood? You're in West Hollywood together?
- 29:38Speaker 1: How's that going so far? Are you guys going to
- 29:41Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, I love her like I love her.
- 29:44Speaker 1: We get along so well. Um, yeah, she's awesome. M Well,
- 29:49Speaker 1: I can't imagine the single adventures you two are having.
- 29:52Speaker 1: It's probably it's probably fun that you're in the same boat. Yeah,
- 29:56Speaker 1: it is. It's nice that we are in the same boatum,
- 29:59Speaker 1: But it's funny. We really just like having wine on
- 30:01Speaker 1: our couch. That's like our thing. We don't go out much,
- 30:04Speaker 1: but it's nice to have her. It was nice to
- 30:07Speaker 1: have her through all that. Thank you so much for,
