- 1:58Thank you, Father, for all the many blessings that you've
- 2:02already bestowed upon us. Thank you, God, for our
- 2:05inheritance. Thank you Lord for the down
- 2:07payment, the deposit, the Holy Spirit.
- 2:10Thank you God Almighty for who you are.
- 2:12Thank you Father that you are our Shekinah glory.
- 2:16You are our everything. You are the most high God.
- 2:20You are the God who sees. You are the banner over our
- 2:23lives. You are the great physician.
- 2:26You are the provider Father, you are our very breath and the
- 2:31heartbeat in our chest. God.
- 2:33Thank you for the neurons God that fired off.
- 2:36Thank you, God, for our ability to reason, into thinking the to
- 2:39ponder and to muse and to meditate upon your Holy
- 2:43Scriptures. God, help them to come alive in
- 2:45our lives. Help us to put them into
- 2:48practice today, God. Not just to set it on a shelf to
- 2:52collect dust, God, but to actually get into the firefight,
- 2:55get into the game today. God, I pray that we'll be out in
- 2:59the harvest. We see that they're ripe.
- 3:02Father, help us not to leave low hanging fruit on the tree.
- 3:07Help us not to rot. Father, help us us to be your
- 3:11hands and feet to actually do the work of an evangelist God,
- 3:14to actually be the answer to all the problems.
- 3:18Father, we thank you for the Lord Jesus Christ.
- 3:20We thank you for the shed blood on Calvary.
- 3:23We thank you, God, that you've given us everything that we need
- 3:27in Christ Jesus. Lord, and we rest in the
- 3:29finished work of the cross, Lord.
- 3:31We rest in what Jesus Christ did for us, Lord.
- 3:35And we know that he is the all sufficient sacrifice.
- 3:38And Lord, it's not about any everything that we did, but it's
- 3:41everything that he did for us, God.
- 3:43And so we trust in Jesus, We trust in his work.
- 3:47We trust in the promises of the Bible.
- 3:51God, we thank you, Lord, open our eyes up to your wonderful
- 3:54word today. And it's in Jesus Christ, holy
- 3:57and precious and powerful name that I pray men.
- 4:03Let's start in verse one. And the Lord spoke unto Moses,
- 4:13saying, What'd he say? We'll have to move to verse 2 to
- 4:18find out. Speak to the children of Israel
- 4:21that they turn and camp before Piharov between Migdal and the
- 4:26sea, over against it by al Zephan before it.
- 4:31Shall you encamp by the sea. So here God was going to lead
- 4:35them in a little turn around worldly race.
- 4:39God was going to get them to make some adjustments to seem as
- 4:47if they were turned around and lost, and to get the Egyptians
- 4:53to actually pursue them. Three, for Pharaoh will Save the
- 4:57Children of Israel. They are entangled in the land.
- 5:00The wilderness has shut them in. So here you can see that Pharaoh
- 5:07acted on his impulses, and the natural way of thinking would
- 5:13have been that the Israelites were lost and they did not know
- 5:18how to set themselves free. They did not know where to go.
- 5:23They were just wandering around aimlessly.
- 5:26And here it would have caused Pharaoh to jump on the
- 5:31opportunity to go and wrangle them back in for And I will
- 5:37harden Pharaoh's heart that he shall follow after them.
- 5:42And I will be honoured upon Pharaoh and upon all his hosts,
- 5:47that the Egyptians may know that I am Lord.
- 5:51And they did so. And so God here is saying that
- 5:54He is going to be honored and greatly praised throughout all
- 5:58the land. When they look backwards,
- 6:00they're going to know that this was the strong arm of God, that
- 6:04he was fighting for the Israelites.
- 6:07Verse 5 And it was told the king of Egypt that the people fled,
- 6:12and the heart of Pharaoh and of his servants was turned against
- 6:16the people. And they said, why have we done
- 6:19this? That we have let the Israel go
- 6:22from serving us. So here you can see that they
- 6:26had forgotten about the 10 plagues.
- 6:28They had forgotten about the hail mixed with fire.
- 6:32They had forgotten about the locusts and the fleas.
- 6:36They had forgotten about the lice.
- 6:38They had forgotten about the frogs.
- 6:39They had forgotten about the water turned to blood.
- 6:43They had forgotten about all the cattle dying in the first born,
- 6:49and here they're wondering why in the world did we let our free
- 6:54labor go? 6 And he made ready his chariot
- 7:01and took his people with him. 7 And he took 600 chosen Chariots,
- 7:06all the Chariots of Egypt, and captains over every one of them.
- 7:10So he took his entire fighting force out to wrangle these
- 7:16Israelites back in 8 And the Lord hardened the heart of
- 7:21Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and he pursued after the children of
- 7:25Israel, and the children of Israel went out with a high
- 7:29hand. So God Almighty is the one who's
- 7:32pulling the strings. God Almighty is the one
- 7:35orchestrating these events. God Almighty will never be
- 7:39mocked and put to shame. There is nothing you can do
- 7:42against the Holy Almighty God, who literally can do anything
- 7:47that He pleases, and there be being LED out by a strong hand.
- 7:539 But the Egyptians pursued after them all the horses and
- 7:57Chariots of Pharaoh and his horsemen and his army, and
- 8:01overtook them in camping by the sea beside π Hauraf before by al
- 8:07Zafon. So here you can see that the
- 8:09Israelites were hemmed in, and it would have looked as if their
- 8:13back was against the corner, and they did not know what to do in.
- 8:18And when Pharaoh drew near, the children of Israel lifted up
- 8:22their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians marched after them,
- 8:26and they were sore afraid, and the children of Israel cried out
- 8:30to the Lord. So you can see here that they
- 8:33had thought that they were trapped after all the rejoicing
- 8:39of being set free. And when they set their tents up
- 8:42and rejoiced at the fact that they were set free, now, the
- 8:46horror of seeing this massive, powerful army coming towards
- 8:53them and they were defenseless. They had nothing.
- 8:55They were just shepherds, but they had God, and one plus God
- 9:03equals more than all the amassment of all the armies in
- 9:08the entire world, of all the nuclear bombs, of every tank
- 9:13plane, of every bomb. There is no power that is
- 9:17greater than the power of God Almighty, and one Christian is
- 9:25more powerful than all the armies in the entire world. 11
- 9:31And they said to Moses, because there were no graves in Egypt,
- 9:35Have you taken us away to die in the wilderness?
- 9:38Why have you dealt us with us to carry us forth out of Egypt?
- 9:43So here they're complaining. You're going to see this just
- 9:49continuously pop up over and over and over.
- 9:53This is the beginning of what you're going to see, this
- 9:57murmuring from the Israelites against Moses, and they're going
- 10:03to be railing him with so many accusations.
- 10:06And here's one of their sarcastic accusations that there
- 10:10were no graves in Egypt, and that is why you'd let us out
- 10:14here to die. 12 Is not this the word that we did tell you in
- 10:20Egypt, saying, Let us alone that we may serve the Egyptians, if
- 10:26it had been better for us to serve the Egyptians than that we
- 10:30should die in the wilderness? So here you see the Israelites,
- 10:34and you can see the finiteness of them.
- 10:39You could see that they are just human.
- 10:42Then they do not have the overarching view that God has.
- 10:46But God is slow to anger, and God is long-suffering, and he is
- 10:53merciful and graceful friends, and you can see here that he's
- 10:58putting up with them. 13 And Moses said unto the people, do
- 11:03not fear, stand still, see the salvation of the Lord, which he
- 11:10will show to you today. For the Egyptians whom you have
- 11:15seen today, you shall see them again no more forever.
- 11:19So God had not revealed unto Moses how he was going to crush
- 11:25the opposition of the Egyptian army.
- 11:28But Moses here is operating in the spirit of faith, whereas the
- 11:33Israelites are operating in the spirit of fear.
- 11:36And this is a call for us, friends.
- 11:39Do not rely on your senses. Do not rely on what you can see.
- 11:44We raise up the banner of faith over our circumstances.
- 11:48We raise up the banner of faith over our emotions, over what the
- 11:53world is screaming at us, friends.
- 11:56And we believe in the infallible, inerrant Word of God
- 11:59that tells us exactly how it's going to go from the beginning
- 12:03to the end. The Alpha and the Omega.
- 12:05We know how it all ends, friends, and we need not fear.
- 12:09What can man do to us? If God is for us, then who can
- 12:18be against us? And do not fear the one that can
- 12:22kill the body, but fear the one that can kill the body.
- 12:25And cast your soul into hell. 14 The Lord will fight for you, and
- 12:37you shall hold your peace. 15 And the Lord said unto Moses,
- 12:43Why do you cry to me? Speak to the children of Israel
- 12:48that they go forward. God says here, there's no need
- 12:52to pause, there's no need to reflect, there's no need for
- 12:57meditation, but you must act. It is high time for you to put
- 13:02your faith into action and to move forward.
- 13:07Too many of us sit in our holy huddles singing kumbaya, waiting
- 13:12for God's return, when the fact of the matter is we need to be
- 13:17out in the harvest doing the work of an evangelist. 16 But
- 13:24lift you up your rod and stretch out your hand over the sea.
- 13:29Divide it. The children of Israel shall go
- 13:32on dry land through the midst of the sea.
- 13:34What a preposterous notion. God is speaking unto Moses.
- 13:39Moses has enough wherewithal to actually understand that it's
- 13:43God who's speaking to him, and he does not doubt that it's God
- 13:47who's speaking to him. And God says, lift up your rod.
- 13:50And the Israelites 6,000,000 souls are going to go across on
- 13:55dry land, as he takes the water up into these walls that are
- 14:00going to be on each side of them, as they cross dry land
- 14:05where the sea once SAT. 17 And I behold, I will harden the hearts
- 14:15of the Egyptians, and they will follow them, and I will get me
- 14:20honor upon Pharaoh and upon all his hosts, upon Chariots, and
- 14:25upon the horsemen. God's going to get himself the
- 14:28honor and his fame and notoriety is going to be spread throughout
- 14:34all the land when this story gets told of how he overtook the
- 14:38Egyptian army. 19 And the Angel of God, which went before the
- 14:46camp of Israel, removed and went behind them, and the pillar of
- 14:51cloud went from before their face and stood behind them.
- 14:55So here you can see that God should kind of glory.
- 14:58The divine protection of God is now moved from where they need
- 15:03to go, and it's actually standing behind them and it's
- 15:07acting as a curtain, it's acting as a shield.
- 15:11As the Egyptians are coming down again, the Israelites, God has
- 15:15parted the sea and they're going to get to walk across on dry
- 15:18land, and it's not going to be visible to the Egyptians as
- 15:22they're storming the beach. 20 And it came between the camp of
- 15:30the Egyptians and the camp of Israel, and it was a cloud in
- 15:34darkness to them, but it gave light by night to these so that
- 15:39the one came not near the other all the night.
- 15:42So they're crossing over on dry land and God has put the cloud
- 15:47in front of the Egyptians. He cannot see what's going on,
- 15:50but the Israelites have the light and it's over the water
- 15:54and they are able to actually walk across, and they're not
- 15:57stuck tumbling and they are not on top of each other.
- 16:01There is no panic. It is all in a peaceful
- 16:05procession across this dry land. 21 And Moses stretched out his
- 16:18hand over the sea, and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a
- 16:23strong E wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and
- 16:28the waters were divided. So can you see these walls of
- 16:32water on each side, and the Israelites passing through on
- 16:35dry land, their cattle, their children, their wives, the men,
- 16:4122 and the children of Israel? Went into the midst of the sea
- 16:51upon the dry ground, and the waters were a wall unto them on
- 16:55their right hand and on their left. 23 And the Egyptians
- 16:59pursued and went in after them to the midst of the sea, even
- 17:03all Pharaoh's horses, his Chariots, and his horsemen.
- 17:07So all the Israelites, 2 million souls crossed over, and they're
- 17:14on the other side. And now here comes the army, and
- 17:18they think they can do the same thing. 24 And it came to pass
- 17:23that in the morning watch the Lord looked unto the host of the
- 17:28Egyptians through the pillar of fire and of the cloud, and
- 17:31troubled the host of the Egyptians.
- 17:34So here you can see that all the Egyptians are thinking that they
- 17:38can get safe passage through this miraculous dry land in
- 17:42between these walls of water. 25 and took off their chariot
- 17:48wheels and they drove them heavily so that the Egyptians
- 17:53said, let us flee from the face of Israel, for the Lord fights
- 17:58for them against the Egyptians. So everything was going awry.
- 18:02The wheels are falling off and they are in chaos and panic and
- 18:06they're saying God is surely for the Israelites.
- 18:10And it's no different today, friends.
- 18:14Miracles after miracles after miracles are still breaking out
- 18:19in the land of Israel today. 26 And the Lord said unto Moses,
- 18:28Stretch out your hand over the sea, that the waters may come
- 18:32again upon the Egyptians, upon their Chariots, upon their
- 18:37horsemen. 27 And Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and
- 18:42the sea returned to his strength when the morning appeared, and
- 18:47the Egyptians fled against it. And the Lord overthrew the
- 18:51Egyptians in the midst of the sea.
- 18:53So here they are thinking they're closing in, they're
- 18:55closing the gap, they're coming up on the Israelites.
- 18:58They're all down in the midst of the sea, walking across the dry
- 19:03land, driving their Chariots. And then Moses stretched forth
- 19:07the rod, and the waters returned back to their original place.
- 19:11Let's see what happens. 28 In the waters returned and covered
- 19:21the Chariots and the horsemen and all the hosts of Pharaoh
- 19:23that came into the sea. After them there remained not so
- 19:27much as one of them. 29 But the children of Israel walked upon
- 19:31dry land in the midst of the sea, and the waters were a wall
- 19:35to them on their right hand and on their left.
- 19:38So can you see it? All the Egyptians drowned, The
- 19:42horses, the Chariots, everything is completely deluged. 30 Thus
- 19:55the Lord saved Israel that day out of the hand of the
- 19:58Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians dead upon the
- 20:02seashore. We'll end on 31 And Israel saw.
- 20:08That great work which the Lord did upon the Egyptians and the
- 20:12people feared the Lord and believed the Lord and his
- 20:16servant Moses. Let's see how long that's going
- 20:19to last. What you need to know are the
- 20:22dead bodies are washing up on the shore.
- 20:24And it proves to the Israelites in the morning light that it was
- 20:28not a dream, it was not some kind of fantasy.
- 20:31This was the reality, friends, that God saved them with a
- 20:35mighty outstretched hand, and He can do the same today.
- 20:39We serve the same God and He's not done yet.
- 20:46Just know that God is still fighting your battles and He
- 20:50wants to rescue you from all of the opposition and all of the
- 20:53strongholds, from all the slave drivers, from all those who
- 20:59would want to entangle you from the sin nature.
- 21:02He wants to rescue you friends, and He wants to take you to
- 21:05higher planes. He wants to be your God, and He
- 21:08wants you to know that He is real.
- 21:11I hope that you've been blessed by this amazing chapter in God's
- 21:14Word. I know I sure have.
- 21:16I'm praying for every single one of you.
- 21:18I love you and we'll see you back here tomorrow.
- 21:20God bless you.
