  I have been enjoying our holiday break and strangely playing.

  Warcraft. I know surprised and shocked.

  I say shocked. I say no they had the time

  walking and I have enjoyed time walking.

  I wasn't really doing much of it but this entire thing with the

  Mage Tower. A lot of conversations have been
• 3:06
  around oh scaling in that and so I decided to like bust out my
• 3:12
  old. Mists of Pandaria cloak.
• 3:14
  See if I could grab out the heart of Azeroth, all those sort
• 3:18
  of legendary Aries and just go in and break the game and oh,
• 3:24
  baby. It's on.
• 3:27
  It's fun. Just just your you being 90% of
• 3:31
  all the damage or whatever, right?
• 3:33
  And just feel like, let's pull it all and just the overpowered
• 3:37
  pulls that you can you can do Was great and I don't think I
• 3:42
  was hurting anybody. I think that the people who were
• 3:45
  leveling during that we're just like we Free Ride for experience
• 3:49
  and this is going to be way faster dungeon, and you're
• 3:54
  telling me that the only button that I have to push this entire
• 3:58
  dungeon is Sprint, so that I can keep up.

  Okay, cool. Let's go.

  Yeah, pretty pretty much and because they extended the The
• 4:08
  time walking for Legion for weeks until like the, the to say
• 4:13
  that just passed, there was the overlap with burning Crusade.

  So I'd like jumped back in. I was like, okay, and I had a

  lot of fun with that. I think that it was a part of
• 4:28
  the time walking. I haven't really experienced
• 4:30
  before. Like usually, I would go in and
• 4:32
  I'd be in my normal gear and be like, okay, well, I'm going to
• 4:35
  do this to see if I can get some gear out of the Great.
• 4:38
  Older or sorry, the weekly and maybe as I'm doing those
• 4:43
  dungeons I will like get I will get lucky and get that time
• 4:47
  Reaver dragon and not, I didn't happen.
• 4:50
  But naturally, of course, of course.
• 4:52
  But this was just fun on its own merits to the point where I was
• 4:57
  like, you know, I wouldn't mind running some extra ones so then
• 5:02
  I like jumped over to my like Demon Hunter and I was like, let
• 5:05
  me go do those, those dungeons on my team.
• 5:08
  A hunter and my demon Hunters tank.
• 5:11
  So I get to set the pace of the polls and I jump into like four
• 5:16
  packs over over and one of the BC Dungeons and then I got
• 5:19
  changed and killed and I'm like, oh, okay, I guess some scaling
• 5:27
  matters. So just just a small you know,
• 5:30
  smidgen of scaling does matter but but yeah, speaking of demon
• 5:34
  Hunters. I have officially finished.
• 5:38
  Leveling my now third Demon Hunter to hit level cap.
• 5:42
  This expansion this expansion. Yes this expansion I have I've
• 5:47
  leveled through this. Your first Alliance one though,
• 5:49
  right? No the first one the first one
• 5:52
  was was a little first show. The first one was a like.
• 5:54
  Yeah. And then the second one, the
• 5:57
  second one was my hoard one. And then because it because
• 6:02
  initially I was going to have the The Alliance One faction
• 6:05
  transfer over. But I ended up transferring The
• 6:08
  Warlock over. Wait, did I know ended up
• 6:15
  leveling a new world, like never mind.
• 6:16
  Yeah, never mind, never mind. But at any rate, 33 demon
• 6:20
  hunters, and that may or may not have anything to do with the
• 6:25
  fact that I have the were glaives transmog.
• 6:28
  Unlock that? I just like looking at them
• 6:30
  longingly and, and leveling in World of Warcraft is an activity
• 6:34
  that I quite enjoy. It turns out, okay.
• 6:38
  I mean, I've been doing more leveling this expansion than
• 6:42
  Ever before. And frankly, I'm sick of it.
• 6:46
  I'm just I'm sick of it. That said this week, I decided
• 6:53
  to start up a new alt. Um, but does it say like he says
• 6:57
  having, I literally watched a stream the other day where he
• 7:00
  was on a new rogue, what? Okay, so that's because I wanted
• 7:07
  to test out a class that I had never played before.
• 7:10
  So Rogues Palin was in the offering I had.
• 7:14
  I've dabbled on Paladin but never really brought that up any
• 7:18
  of the pet classes. Man, I've just never played any
• 7:21
  of those pet classes, but I also want to have some characters at
• 7:26
  the ready for me to be able to like make some gold off of.
• 7:31
  So got a level up this Rogue going to work it into
• 7:37
  professions, that will help me so that I don't like bust the
• 7:40
  bank at 9.2. And we will see how the hell I'm
• 7:46
  going to level it from 50 to 60 because from 10 to 50, I went to
• 7:53
  Legion and my goodness, be like story and then the style G
• 7:59
  factor is selling me so hard on chromey time of like, I'm glad
• 8:04
  that I get to experience one expansion and this is unique
• 8:10
  story that I wouldn't have seen. Wise and that's been a very
• 8:16
  enjoyable process. But like, I do have some
• 8:19
  questions about the leveling experiences and maybe
• 8:22
  suggestions, but that's going to be on something else.
• 8:25
  I get asked you Jared with all these characters that you level
• 8:29
  at the end of it do you find it? You lose gold with these
• 8:33
  characters. As you like, try and gear them
• 8:35
  up and get them their legendaries and yada yada.
• 8:38
  Or do you find that your your alts generate gold or gold
• 8:41
  neutral for you? You for the most part they
• 8:43
  generate gold, like getting getting a character all the way
• 8:47
  to 60 by the time you're through.
• 8:50
  And I haven't, I haven't gone through like the actual campaign
• 8:53
  of shadowlands, like from 50 to 60 like since they offer started
• 8:56
  offering graduate. Yeah, so defeat.
• 8:59
  Thank you. Oh, that was so immediately

  after you completed the first run-through.
• 9:02
  Well, yeah, but I did I did the threads of Fate as soon as it
• 9:06
  was available and so I haven't I haven't gone through and tested
• 9:11
  like actually running Campaign in like getting all of the gold
• 9:14
  rewards for all the, the campaign Quest as you're going
• 9:16
  through, like all the like, initial campaign stuff.
• 9:20
  So I don't know how much gold you can actually generate from
• 9:23
  that and I know that doing doing threads of Fate that you skip
• 9:26
  out on all the, the quest rewards from that initial
• 9:31
  campaign. So haven't done that.
• 9:33
  And I know that there's quite a bit because I like on these
• 9:36
  characters that I've gotten to 60, I've also skipped every
• 9:40
  available skip that. That they have for any of the
• 9:44
  the campaign content, and there is a sizable chunk of like anima
• 9:48
  and and gold as well that you're missing out by not doing this
• 9:52
  Quest as well. But even still skipping those
• 9:54
  quests. I am coming out gold positive
• 9:57
  even buying like Maxwell flying on all these characters getting
• 10:03
  like a couple of pieces of just like starter gear, like maybe
• 10:08
  maybe like a like a weapon or like a ring or a neck piece or
• 10:12
  Then like a, an uncommon piece to get from the auction house,
• 10:16
  just to like, give myself like a little little bump right at the
• 10:19
  beginning. Before I start the core Thea
• 10:21
  grind. Like, that's the only gold that
• 10:23
  I'm actually spending. Which isn't really any gold at
• 10:27
  all and still coming out positive on these.
• 10:30
  It is a bit of a grind to get the gold and it's taking about
• 10:35
  two weeks to get the gold from like clearing out Emissary
• 10:38
  chests and all that of doing that to get enough go.
• 10:42
  Old to where I can get the the base legendary item at the
• 10:48
  maximum item level. But really, that's not really a
• 10:53
  whole lot of work also doing, you know, core Thea, dailies and
• 10:56
  stuff. Like all of that, like there's
• 10:58
  there's ways to to make gold a little bit faster.
• 11:02
  Especially if you, if you like just pick up like like a like a
• 11:06
  gathering profession while you're going.
• 11:07
  So you can like pick flowers or you know, hit rocks while you're
• 11:11
  going through the In process and then just like dumping all of
• 11:14
  those resources on to the action house.
• 11:17
  Soon as you hit Level 60, your you know that's a good chunk of
• 11:20
  gold right there. So I in my personal experience
• 11:23
  and how I play and how I level, I am making gold through the
• 11:28
  process of leveling, these characters.
• 11:30
  What about you are you having a similar experience?
• 11:34
  So my ALT have been generally built up to make gold.
• 11:40
  So the Warrior the Demon Hunter and the priests all went through
• 11:49
  threads of Fate. They did not do any of those
• 11:53
  quests of, like, help this Covenant help this thing.
• 11:56
  They just immediately, like, let me go gather up as stuff, and
• 11:59
  I'll level up by mining or skinning or herbing and stuff.
• 12:05
  And so, by the time they hit, 60.
• 12:10
  I've made like a hundred K gold or something like that.
• 12:15
  And most the most expensive thing from them is typically how
• 12:21
  much of that gold gets reinvested in their professions
• 12:26
  that they're doing. So like if I need to buy, if I
• 12:29
  need to buy something and that will drain drain the gold out of
• 12:34
  them. I don't think many of them
• 12:39
  actually have flying because there's some that it's just
• 12:42
  like, what's the point? You're basically going to sit in
• 12:47
  over Bose while I have the other character run around and gather
• 12:53
  resources and send to you or you're going to sit in or bows
• 12:58
  on the lawn boy and just buy stuff from the auction house and
• 13:01
  then flip it around and do your profession to like make gold so
• 13:05
  they don't need to be mobile. Four point four point.
• 13:09
  I think what I'm sad most about the old is that there isn't much
• 13:15
  that I want to do with them outside of the profession stuff.
• 13:22
  They are my profession Army, right?
• 13:27
  I don't know if I don't know if I would be interested in like
• 13:32
  running them through Tor gassed or Doing various dungeons with
• 13:38
  them because I don't, I just, I love my Shaman.
• 13:40
  I love my Shaman. I like I like tanking on my my
• 13:45
  Vengeance Demon Hunter that I would say is my main alt but
• 13:48
  gameplay-wise. Those guys could like literally
• 13:51
  have their their two bars. Empty other than like open up
• 13:55
  your profession. Open up your other profession
• 13:58
  and it would Mount to virtually the same thing.
• 14:02
  Oh, and of course, I need a button for the mount is if I was
• 14:05
  going around and collecting stuff Yeah.
• 14:06
  Yeah. One of one of your buttons is
• 14:08
  for the mount one, for the first profession.
• 14:10
  One for the second profession, then every other key can just be
• 14:14
  rebound to be to open your inventory.
• 14:17
  That's it. There you go.

  Yeah, because you had said that earlier that you had some, some
• 14:23
  Nostalgia for Legion and I think, I think that a lot of the
• 14:28
  the pain of playing World of Warcraft in the shadowlands has
• 14:33
  come from this place of like in Legion.
• 14:37
  If we didn't have anything to do, we could just, you know, go
• 14:40
  like rolling all tanned and have that all, go through the
• 14:43
  campaign and there was plenty of stuff to do on on alts.
• 14:48
  There's so much story to see so much so many things to do
• 14:51
  outside of just like the normal, like Mount collecting and, and
• 14:55
  all this stuff. I don't know how much of that
• 14:57
  you did back in Legion, but that was something that I certainly
• 15:00
  participated in and was a good source of content just like kill
• 15:05
  time, waiting for. You know, raids to come along or
• 15:08
  waiting for just like weekly resets to come around.
• 15:12
  So I can get, you know, the next shot at the, the legendary that
• 15:16
  I was trying to farm on my main, I mean, like obviously trying to
• 15:19
  get those legendary zazzles, those particular pieces and see
• 15:22
  if we could get like the war for time for it, use up a lot of
• 15:25
  space on my main but also on alt it was a matter of like not only
• 15:31
  just like the quest that are related to your class and your
• 15:35
  order Hall and that That but also I would be doing a quest
• 15:39
  that was related to this other profession.
• 15:41
  It's like, oh okay. Let me go out to this world
• 15:44
  quest because I want to get bacon or I want to get whatever
• 15:48
  mining thing there is so you can get the Fells slate, or I need
• 15:53
  to go do this dungeon to get like the rank X or Y or Z for
• 15:58
  this other thing that's in my profession, and I think a lot of
• 16:01
  that has been stripped out and so II, This profession Quest.
• 16:07
  It's one of those things that I'm not sure if I was the
• 16:10
  minority. I know some people had a lot of
• 16:13
  anger about like, oh, I've got to go into these Dungeons and it
• 16:16
  makes me not able to do my profession Main in a competitive
• 16:21
  Manner and know, there was that I am right there with you.
• 16:27
  The profession quests were top-notch, I would do several
• 16:34
  things to get those back in the game.
• 16:36
  And well, but there's there are a subset of people who dislike
• 16:43
  any kind of group content. They are playing this game as
• 16:48
  solo as it can be, and it's not like they're antisocial, don't
• 16:51
  interact with people in town and all of that.
• 16:54
  But they don't want to like go into a dungeon where people,
• 16:58
  maybe like, judging them for their DPS or they're taking or
• 17:01
  be healing. It's like no, no.
• 17:03
  Like their thing is to dominate. The auction house or to RP with
• 17:08
  their friends or to just do whatever.
• 17:11
  And so they dislike, it's like if they were forcing me to go
• 17:16
  into PVP, I'm not a PVP or right if you want that Tech.
• 17:20
  PVP just got their new co-hosts like big moron and he's got like
• 17:27
  how many different videos and stuff on PVP.
• 17:29
  Go talk to him. You'll set your right.
• 17:32
  But if you but I'm not I'm not the PVP guy.
• 17:37
  So I understand about people not liking to cross into something
• 17:43
  else that they want just to do what sorry that they don't want
• 17:47
  to do. Just just in order to do what
• 17:49
  they want to do. That's the same reason we keep
• 17:51
  on saying like oh stop the wow, chore.
• 17:53
  Stop us having to do how much core Thea just to get into the
• 17:57
  raid and stuff and that's the exact same argument so I get it,
• 18:02
  I get it. That said I am finding this
• 18:07
  stuff fun, I'm still doing my farming.
• 18:11
  It's just that it's sad. That shadow lands itself.

  Doesn't have anything there like core Thea.
• 18:18
  I've collected all the mounts out of core, Thea, that's done.
• 18:22
  And Courtney itself isn't that interesting?

  I think that there's going to be a discussion about 9.1 later on
• 18:33
  and I don't think it's going to be remembered very Only even on
• 18:36
  its own merits. But with that said, how about we
• 18:39
  start looking to the Future Jared?

  Let's, okay, before we get into what is going to be coming up in

  9.2, did want to take some time to speak on the situation at
• 18:52
  Activision Blizzard? So so new year, but we are still
• 18:56
  on the third week of this of the strike involving the Raven, QA
• 19:02
  people who were let go The staff is still on strike.
• 19:06
  The fundraiser is still available, that has now been
• 19:09
  transferred over to a committee that is overseeing that remember
• 19:16
  that this strike was started back in the beginning of
• 19:20
  December. After the dismissal dismissal of
• 19:23
  several Raven Q&A, these guys had been promised that there was
• 19:29
  going to be great work. And many of them had relocated
• 19:33
  to Headquarters only to turn around and find out that they
• 19:39
  were going to be no longer needed and their positions were
• 19:42
  being made redundant. Now what we found out is today,
• 19:49
  there has been a, a press Statement put out to game
• 19:57
  industry dot Biz. And in that industry in that
• 20:02
  press statement, Activision Blizzard says that Raven
• 20:07
  industry leaders have made have been engaged in conversation
• 20:13
  with their workers and their staff to talk about their
• 20:19
  investment and everything. They go on to say that The staff
• 20:26
  that was let go. They numbered as 12 people who
• 20:29
  were, who were let go, they were given an extended notice period.
• 20:35
  They were given pay over the two weeks of holiday that we had and
• 20:41
  that they will be given assistance relocating one of the
• 20:45
  members of The Raven QA said that this statement is the first
• 20:52
  that they have heard. At all about the Outreach and in
• 20:56
  fact many articles that had being out just yesterday had to
• 21:00
  her said that there was no word. So if they have been engaging
• 21:06
  with the the staff it has been questionable, how long they have
• 21:11
  been engaging and perhaps they sent out this memo with Tad too
• 21:17
  early, but the fact that they are engaging is a good sign.

  I hope that conversation comes forward from it.

  I have linked the game industry article with the with the

  release in there. But Jared, what do you think of

  this? It took too long.

  It took to long for them to establish contact with with the

  strikers and like it's a good thing that the people that were

  like go right before the holidays.

  It's good there. You know they at least got their

  pay through the holiday period but it's it just it's

  heartbreaking that People are let go right before the

  holidays, having just moved there.

  And I really just hope that the people that were let go from

  Raven from Raven, QA department, they are that they're able to

  get their feet under them quickly and and get back into

  doing what they love doing. Because obviously, they love
• 22:15
  doing their job, otherwise, they wouldn't have, you know,
• 22:18
  relocated like that to go work for this company.

  We will let you know more as it. Develops, but we wanted to start

  the year making sure that there was an update on this that this
• 22:28
  is an ongoing situation situation and we should stay
• 22:33
  aware of things. We will be talking about more of

  this. There has been a somewhat

  related settlement between Riot and the state of California and
• 22:45
  I believe that does feed into what is happening at blizzard.

  But we will talk more about that as the situation develops.

  Now going into lighter news Jared, do you want to talk a

  little bit about what we are seeing in this latest 9.2 build?

  I would love to. So we've gotten a few cool
• 23:07
  goodies in the last couple of weeks.

  Just within within the last couple of days, we have seen new
• 23:13
  Charmin goes full forms called the vulpine and Lupine forms.
• 23:17
  That if you've been looking through the the new models that
• 23:21
  are coming in 9.2 you will. Probably seen the internet light
• 23:26
  up about the the wolf models for the some of the creatures that
• 23:32
  are coming in zeroth, mortise. And they're, they're just right
• 23:36
  out of the gate giving shamans options to have their ghostly
• 23:42
  forms. Look like these, these new
• 23:43
  models because they already are kind of ghosty as their models
• 23:48
  are in xerath mortise. And we just, we just get them
• 23:51
  and it's great. And as of last, Tonight in this
• 23:56
  story was posted on my head about half the raid.
• 23:58
  Team said that they were going to be switching to Shaman in
• 24:01
  9.2. So many you might have some
• 24:04
  competition for male gear. Finally, I'm not bothered been
• 24:10
  like you know when people make a good decision you just you're
• 24:14
  just happy for them and coming over to Shaman is just a good
• 24:17
  decision that said I'm hoping that this shows that there's
• 24:22
  customization Going to be coming on every patch.
• 24:26
  It's not something that they're going to be like yeah, right.
• 24:27
  We'll wait for a big patch and then we'll throw out a bunch of
• 24:30
  things. This sort of customization is
• 24:32
  something that. Yeah, it's like this is cool.

  Let's give a related class, something like that.

  Oh we've got a new demon model, why don't we have a glyph for
• 24:41
  for the Demon Hunter so that they have a different
• 24:45
  metamorphosis that would be great or give it to the Warlock
• 24:48
  so that their their particular pet might look different.
• 24:52
  If it is one of those that are Elated to the Warlock pet,
• 24:56
  right? I think that the first time
• 24:59
  we're likes got pet glyphs, like, that was in Legion,
• 25:03
  actually, I think a lot of the models that we have now weren't
• 25:07
  introduced, like, they were in the game before, but they
• 25:11
  weren't offered as glyph options for warlocks until then, but
• 25:15
  like customization options, like this historically, have been
• 25:20
  relegated to kind of just being Hunter things like because New
• 25:24
  patch that like a new zone or new like biome new, new
• 25:28
  creatures are introduced into the game Hunters.
• 25:31
  Just have all of that as options of pets to tame and cool new
• 25:36
  looks that they can have for their pets.
• 25:38
  So, I hope this, I very much agree with you.

  Like, I hope this is, this is a sign that like they're going to
• 25:43
  be looking to add customization options for all the classes,
• 25:47
  which Speaking of warlocks. They, so we've been talking
• 25:51
  about the succubus Incubus changes.
• 25:53
  They change. Aged they changed the whole
• 25:55
  thing again, over the break. They have changed the spell from
• 26:00
  Suburban succubus, to summon, PSI ad, which the first time you
• 26:04
  cast the spell on any warlock, it will give you a quest that
• 26:09
  like it'll well, first of all, some in the succubus that will
• 26:12
  give you a quest that you will be able to take to your factions
• 26:16
  capital and then get two items. One is a color that will make
• 26:22
  some incited permanently. Canvas and the other one that
• 26:25
  will make summons. I add permanently in Incubus and
• 26:29
  these these items you can toggle on and off, whichever is the
• 26:32
  last one that you hit will be the one that that is active or
• 26:38
  you can deactivate both of them to have some.
• 26:40
  Once I add just be random that it will summon either succubus
• 26:44
  or Incubus completely random. So that's, that's a good change.
• 26:48
  It's a very good change to how they were offering it before on
• 26:53
  the ER like having having that level of control over the seven
• 26:58
  second for now seven PSI ad spell is fantastic.

  And then in other good news for warlocks they knew they knew

  they had issues with the Warlock Helm and as they as they've been
• 27:12
  going through, they've been adjusting things this week.

  We have seen a new model that gets rid of the pointy top and

  adds in some glowing whore. Which honestly I want to go back

  and find a clip of our show because I swear that was exactly

  what we were saying when we're talking about a class have to

  comment on. So the model that we just
• 27:36
  released, it's it's just a, it's bunny ears.

  Oh, please. It's the exact angle that you're

  looking at it. That makes it look like bunny

  imbalance, because there are very, very, very few servers of

  classic Realms that have even close to like a like a down, the

  middle split between horde and Alliance on these factions and

  it it has kind of evolved into Problem, where we see extreme

  examples of servers where there is a 90/10 split for either

  faction either horde, or Reliance on a few Fringe case

  servers, but still, you know, fairly fairly popular popular

  servers. I know, for example, that there
• 1:11:28
  are two like major PVE servers that at least on the u.s.

  servers. There's two major ones there's
• 1:11:35
  pagal, which is like the A big Alliance server and man Creek,

  which is the the big horde server.

  And both of those servers are basically 90/10 split Alliance

  it's led to a lot of issues with World PVP to the point.

  some sort of realization, maybe that shifts him in New Direction

  still the high King of the alliance and where he starts

  leading lines after this. If he even feels capable, that's

  going to have a huge ramifications because if he

  comes back he's like I ain't doing is and it just that

  creates a very real power vacuum.

  We've had people who have been filling in in term.

  Do they keep going? Leave that people who being,

  like, I didn't want to rule, but I don't like how the interim

  guys going. Do they start vying for power?

  That could be an entire story. So there's a lot of

  ramifications that can come from from it which doesn't involve
